Bravo Fans Have a Message for Andy Cohen About Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann After Son’s Shocking Allegations
Bravo fans have apparently reached their limit with Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, with some demanding the former reality stars never appear on the network again following shocking new allegations involving their teenage son.
The backlash comes after prosecutors revealed during a Friday, Sept. 11, bond hearing that investigators allegedly found multiple videos on Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr.’s cellphone showing the 15-year-old engaging in penetrative sex with a family member under the age of 12 and using “predatory, derogatory” language, according to People. Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy said the discovery marked the second time KJ has been charged with a serious sexual offense involving a female victim, per the outlet.
KJ is already facing seven felony charges stemming from a separate alleged incident involving a female classmate, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16, according to court records viewed by People. The indictment stems from an alleged April 23, 2026, incident, and KJ was arrested Aug. 17 in Alpharetta, Ga.
While Kim and Kroy have not been accused of wrongdoing in either case, the latest revelations have reignited debate among Bravo fans about whether the estranged couple should continue to have a platform on the network.
One fan directed a comment toward Real Housewives of Atlanta producer Andy Cohen on Threads, writing, “Kim Zolciak needs to never ever be on bravo again.”
Another commenter also directed their criticism toward Cohen, writing, “Bravo @bravoandy better never ever show Kim Zolciak face on TV this kid is being a sexual predator since 12 years old those two need to be held accountable for his crimes.”
The reaction comes as Kim and Kroy remain estranged and embroiled in a contentious divorce. The former couple, who filed for divorce in April 2023 before briefly calling it off and then filing again in August 2023, share six children.
Several commenters also expressed concern for Zolciak’s daughter Ariana Biermann, who currently stars on Bravo’s Next Gen NYC. Some fans said they understood why Ariana moved to New York City and appeared sympathetic to her being physically removed from the turmoil surrounding her family.
KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, has previously denied the allegations, telling Page Six that KJ is “not only presumed innocent, but is, in fact, innocent.” Kim also denied the allegations in a statement to Us Weekly, calling them “reckless and deeply troubling” and saying her son “categorically denies” engaging in the alleged conduct. She also said KJ voluntarily took a polygraph and passed, and that an examination found no DNA belonging to her son, according to People.

Def Leppard Is Heading to the Big Screen in a New Documentary About the ’80s Rock Icons
It’s been over 45 years since Def Leppard released their first EP, but even after four decades, the rock icons have proven that they aren’t going anywhere. This weekend, the band announced that their story will be told on the big screen in their first authorized feature-length documentary, Long Live Def Leppard.
The documentary, which will be released in early 2027 by filmmaker Jeff Feuerzeig, will offer never-before-seen footage of the band. According to Variety, Bleecker Street’s event cinema division, Crosswalk, has acquired the North American rights.
“In the summer of ’81, after reading about Def Leppard in Creem, I saw the not-yet-famous band open for Ozzy Osbourne on his first Blizzard of Ozz tour at Asbury Park’s Convention Hall,” Feuerzeig recalled in a press release. “These young lads from working-class Sheffield were punching far above their weight and playing for keeps. I was smitten, a fan for life. It has been an honor to collaborate with the guys and bring their unique, heartwarming, and often humorous underdog story to the screen. This is not your typical sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll tale. Long live Def Leppard, indeed!”
The documentary was made in collaboration with the band, featuring Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Vivian Campbell and Rick Allen. Chronicling the band’s journey, the film will touch on some of Def Leppard’s most difficult chapters, including the loss of guitarist Steve Clark.
“Those tragedies became defining moments in the band’s history, as Def Leppard rebuilt themselves and went on to become one of the most enduring forces in rock,” the synopsis said.
Bleecker Street’s CEO, Kent Sanderson, said Def Leppard is a “once-in-a-lifetime rock band” whose story deserves to be seen on the big screen.
“Longtime fans and those just being introduced to the group are going to be blown away by this high-energy, compelling, and ultimately moving look into this legendary band,” Sanderson said.
Before the documentary releases, Def Leppard will be touring cities in Mexico and South America this fall with special guest Extreme. Find out more and get tickets here.
This Popular Italian Tinned Fish Brand Is Making a Splash in the US
Italy has given us plenty of foods we’ve happily adopted as our own. Pizza and pasta hardly need an introduction, and these days, everything from burrata to pistachio cream seems to be having a moment. Now, another Italian favorite is hoping to earn a permanent spot in American kitchens.
Rio Mare, which bills itself as the No. 1 tuna brand in Italy and across Europe, is expanding its presence in the United States. The brand has been a staple in Italian pantries since 1965 and has since expanded to more than 50 countries. Now, after more than 60 years of winning over European tuna lovers, its signature pink cans are popping up on American grocery store shelves.

The timing couldn’t be much better. Premium tinned seafood has become increasingly popular in the U.S., with shoppers embracing it for everything from snack boards and easy lunches to salads and pasta. But Rio Mare isn’t simply another trendy newcomer in a colorful tin. It’s a brand Italians have been eating for generations, and it’s bringing a decidedly Italian approach to something most of us already keep in the pantry.

What Makes Rio Mare Tuna Different? View this post on InstagramRio Mare takes a decidedly Italian approach to canned tuna by keeping things simple. Its Tuna in Olive Oil contains just three ingredients: yellowfin tuna, olive oil and salt. The olive oil comes entirely from Europe, including Italy and Spain, and unlike water-packed tuna, it’s meant to be part of the experience rather than something you automatically drain away.
The brand says its yellowfin tuna is selected for its firm texture and mild flavor, and the fish is cleaned by hand twice before being packed. The result is larger, solid pieces of tuna rather than the softer flakes you might expect when you crack open your usual can.
I Tried Rio Mare TunaCourtesy Jim Hoffman
I recently got a chance to try Rio Mare for myself, and as far as canned tuna goes, it’s excellent. The first thing I noticed was the texture. The tuna is noticeably firm and meaty rather than soft or overly flaky. There are substantial pieces that hold together when you take them out of the can.
The flavor is mild without the strong fishiness that can sometimes accompany canned tuna. And don’t dump the olive oil down the drain. It keeps the tuna moist while adding a subtle richness that makes the whole thing taste like an upgrade over your typical pantry can.
It’s the kind of tuna I’d be perfectly happy eating straight from the can, with some good crackers, a Niçoise salad or even a light pasta sauce. But getting fancy isn’t necessary; Rio Mare would be just as at home in an old-school tuna melt.

The Best Way To Make Hash Browns 10x Better, According to an Award-Winning Chef
A good plate of hash browns is hard to beat. They’re golden and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and arguably just as important as the eggs, bacon or whatever else you ordered with them. But for something made primarily from potatoes, recreating restaurant-quality hash browns at home can be surprisingly tricky.
Maybe yours come out pale and soft instead of crispy, or perhaps one side burns before the potatoes are cooked through. Either way, the results don’t always match the hash browns you’d get at your favorite breakfast spot or diner.

That’s why we turned to Chef Jesse Schenker, co-founder and culinary director of Lush Life Hospitality. The two-time James Beard Award semifinalist and Iron Chef America champion has spent years in restaurant kitchens, and hash browns happen to be on the menu at his newest restaurant, The Comet Club.
We asked Schenker about what separates restaurant-quality hash browns from the ones we make at home, as well as how he prefers to cook them. As it turns out, you don’t need to completely rethink the way you make hash browns. Schenker has a few pointers for getting them closer to the crispy hash browns you’d order at a restaurant. Here’s his chef secret to the best hash browns at home.

If your homemade hash browns tend to turn out soft instead of crispy, the problem may be how much water is left in the potatoes. According to Schenker, getting rid of that moisture is the most important step for restaurant-quality results.
“The biggest secret is removing as much moisture from the potatoes as possible,” Schenker says. “I prefer to grate Russet potatoes, rinse them briefly in cold water to remove excess starch and then squeeze them very dry. I’ll even press them between towels to make sure they’re as dry as possible.”
Drying them this thoroughly is what helps create that restaurant-style contrast in texture. As Schenker explains, it “gives you a much better chance of getting that crisp, golden exterior while keeping the inside tender.”
Before the potatoes hit the pan, Schenker also recommends seasoning them and being generous with the cooking fat. “The combination of properly dried potatoes, enough fat and patience is what really makes the difference,” he says.

The Chef-Approved Hash Brown Cooking MethodGetting the potatoes dry is only half the battle. Once they hit the pan, Schenker says patience is especially important if you want that crispy crust. His preferred tool for the job is a cast-iron pan.
“Get the pan and fat hot, add the potatoes in an even, relatively thin layer, and then leave them alone,” Schenker says. “That’s probably the hardest part for a home cook. You want to give them enough time to develop a deep golden crust before flipping.”
Schenker cooks his hash browns over medium to medium-high heat until the first side is crisp, then flips them to finish the other side.
And don’t crowd the pan. “Don’t overcrowd the pan, and don’t keep moving the potatoes around—the crust develops when you give them uninterrupted contact with the pan.”
Schenker follows the same basic principles at The Comet Club. “Dry potatoes, a hot pan, good fat and patience,” he says. “That’s what gives you that restaurant-quality combination of crisp edges and a soft, almost creamy center.”
Final ThoughtsHash browns may be one of the simplest breakfast sides, but there’s a reason the really good ones stand out. When you get that crispy outside and soft center just right, they can easily steal the spotlight from everything else on the plate. And once you know what separates great hash browns from disappointing ones, you may find yourself making them at home a lot more often.

1981 Tom Petty Song, Covered by Linda Ronstadt, Is Still a Powerful Hit 45 Years Later
In 1981, Tom Petty released one of his most enduring songs—but it didn’t come easy for him. “The Waiting,” the first single from the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album Hard Promises, took weeks to write.
Known for its distinctive guitar riff and anthemic chorus, the song captured the frustration of waiting for something—or someone. The simple, relatable message gave the track universal appeal that still resonates 45 years later.
Petty once told Performing Songwriter that “The Waiting” was difficult to write.
“I remember writing that one very well,” the legendary singer said. “That was a hard one. Went on for weeks. I got the chorus right away. And I had that guitar riff, that really good lick. Couldn’t get anything else. I had a really hard time. And I knew it was good, and it just went on endlessly. It was one of those where I really worked on it until I was too tired to go any longer. And I’d get right up and start again and spend the whole day to the point where other people in the house would complain. ‘You’ve been playing that lick for hours.’ Very hard.”
“It’s one that has really survived over the years because it’s so adaptable to so many situations,” Petty added.
Petty’s version of the song became a Top 20 hit, reaching No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1981. Fourteen years later, music legend Linda Ronstadt recorded a country-rock cover of the song for her 1995 album Feels Like Home.
Ronstadt admitted that, at first, she tried to sing like Petty.
“When you’re singing his material, it really helps to know his influences firsthand,” she shared in an interview. “At one point, I realized I was trying to sing like Tom Petty, who was singing like Roger McGuinn, who was singing like Bob Dylan, who was trying to copy Woody Guthrie. You wind up with all these people standing in your mouth.”
Petty ultimately approved of the cover, telling MOJO that he had heard Ronstadt’s version of the song and felt that “she did it very well.”
While “The Waiting” took a long time to write, it was certainly worth the wait for Petty’s fans. Decades later, it remains one of the late legend’s most enduring songs, and a reminder of the days when things didn’t come as quickly as they do now.
“It was about waiting for your dreams and not knowing if they will come true,” Petty once said, according to Rolling Stone. “I always felt it was an optimistic song.”
Costco’s Nostalgic New Freezer Find Is ‘Like Fall in a Box’
If you grew up with handheld pies as a lunchbox staple, you probably remember the flaky crust, fruity filling, and sweet icing that made them feel more like dessert than a snack. And while those childhood favorites might not be quite as appealing today, Costco has a new freezer find that takes the same idea and gives it an irresistible grown-up fall twist.
Think tender apples, tart cranberries, and warm cinnamon tucked inside a golden, cinnamon-sugar crust, all in little squares that are easy to warm up whenever the craving hits.
Check them out in this September 8 Instagram post from Costco Buys (@costcobuys):
View this post on Instagram Urban Bistro Apple Pie Squares With Cranberries Arrive at Costco for Fall SnackingCostco is selling these handheld pies for $10.89, although prices and availability can vary by warehouse. They’re Costco item #2069667, and each box contains 12 individual packs with two shareable squares in each, for 24 squares total. That works out to about 91 cents per two-square pack, or roughly 45 cents per square, which is almost as good as the pricing you might remember from your school days.
That two-square serving might be one of the best things about them. If you just want a little something sweet with an afternoon cup of coffee, you don’t have to commit to a full slice of pie. You can warm up one, heat both and share, or keep both for yourself. No judgment here.

They’re also ready in minutes straight from the microwave, which makes them an easy option when a sweet craving strikes without much notice.
And while the cranberry addition may be unexpected for anyone accustomed to traditional apple pie, it certainly gives these a distinctly autumnal spin. Commenter @savorandshop summed them up perfectly, writing, “These sound like fall in a box.”
Another was ready to head straight to Costco, declaring, “TAKE MY MONEY.” And @costcofam4u kept the review even simpler: “Delish!!”
These don’t have to stay in snack territory, either. Warm a couple of squares and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and suddenly that little freezer snack feels much more like a fall dessert. A drizzle of caramel sauce wouldn’t exactly hurt matters, either.
Between the cinnamon-sugar crust, warm apple filling, and tart pops of cranberry, these have all the familiar comfort of an old-school handheld pie with an autumnal upgrade. And with 24 squares in the box, there are plenty of opportunities to decide whether they’re better with coffee or ice cream.
1966 Mike Nesmith Monkees Track, Co-Written by Carole King, Was an Underrated Country-Rock Gem
Long before the Byrds or the Eagles brought rootsy, twang-heavy arrangements into mainstream rock, Mike Nesmith was already experimenting with the sound inside the Monkees.
The 1966 track “Sweet Young Thing” paired his distinctive Southern instincts with Carole King and Gerry Goffin‘s knack for melodic hooks. The result was a rare studio collaboration that created something genuinely ahead of its time.
Pitchfork reported that Nesmith introduced the country rock sound to teenagers via his work with The Monkees. The outlet noted, “Having brought that sound to the Monkees from their first LP onward, Nesmith doubled down on its hard twang, strong groove, and vaguely mystical lyrics on several solo albums after the group ended.”
The blog Power Pop reported that Monkees’ music supervisor, Don Kirshner, set Nesmith up to write with King and Goffin for the one-off tune. Nesmith was said to have liked both songwriters, but didn’t want to be “forced to write with someone else. Kirshner resented the rejection, feeling that a nobody like Nesmith should have flipped over the opportunity to work with two songwriting legends.”

“Sweet Young Thing” was never released as a single from the band’s 1966 debut LP, The Monkees. The tune featured backing vocals by Monkees band members Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz, and Tork also played guitar. Davy Jones was not credited on that song.
Backing musicians on the track included members of The Wrecking Crew. Glen Campbell, James Burton, and Hal Blaine were among those listed as having participated in the recording session.
Although the tune never reached the Billboard Top 100, “Sweet Young Thing” was prominently featured in two episodes of The Monkees television series. These Season 1 episodes are titled “Success Story” and “The Audition (Find the Monkees).”
The song laid the groundwork for country-rock in a genre that didn’t even exist yet. The Byrds didn’t release Sweetheart of the Rodeo until 1968, and the Flying Burrito Brothers debuted in 1969. However, Nesmith was ahead of his time, weaving rock and country into pop records a full two years before those seminal albums.
Dangerous Minds reported, “In terms of the country rock hybrid sound, Nesmith–clearly–was a visionary of the form. He can be credited as much as ANYONE–including The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, even CSNY–with inventing the sound. Mike Nesmith was doing country rock dating to 1966’s “Papa Gene’s Blues” on the first Monkees album.”
Despite the Monkees frequently being dismissed as a manufactured teen act, Nesmith reflected on his time in the group with pride. “It is a part of my youth that is always active in my thoughts and part of my overall work as an artist,” he told Rolling Stone.
Looking back, “Sweet Young Thing” is so much more than a track on a sixty-year-old record. It’s a snapshot of Mike Nesmith creating the roots of a whole new sound.

1997 Ballad, Written by Bob Dylan, Launched an Unknown 19-Year-Old Singer's Global Career
The world of popular music history is filled with legendary songwriting collaborations that defined an entire era, but few modern full-circle artistic occurrences are quite as profound as this historic crossover success story.
Originally penned and composed in 1997, a deeply emotional love ballad by a Nobel Prize-winning folk icon would eventually cross massive oceans a decade later to completely transform the trajectory of a struggling teenage vocalist.
While casual fans frequently associate the iconic, piano-driven masterpiece with a modern vocal powerhouse, its foundational tracking roots trace directly back to an overlooked late-nineties studio compilation album archive room.
In 2008, a completely unknown 19-year-old British singer named Adele was meticulously assembling the final tracking list for her highly anticipated debut studio album, 19. Desperate to find one final, emotionally resonant centerpiece track for the project, her management team introduced her to the beautiful, understated 1997 Bob Dylan composition “Make You Feel My Love.”
Although initially hesitant to record a cover version of a legendary artist’s work, the young performer was so deeply moved by the pure poetry of the lyrics that she immediately agreed to cut a raw, intimate arrangement.
Her breathtaking vocal performance did not just complement the original piece; it completely shattered global streaming boundaries and shot straight to the top tier of the international tracking music charts immediately.
The release achieved staggering multi-platinum certifications worldwide and permanently established 19-year-old Adele as an absolute household name.
Decades later, this exceptional, world-renowned musical achievement continues to dominate global airwaves, permanently proving that a timeless melody can beautifully connect two entirely different generations of musical geniuses together.
This unbelievable chart success story stands out as one of the absolute greatest, most brilliant examples of pure vocal power in modern pop culture music history archives today everywhere across the earth forevermore, cementing a truly spectacular, legendary and unforgettable creative masterwork.
The Surprising Vacation Working Empty Nesters Are Taking Most in 2026
For decades, family travel was defined by an exhausting, unbending routine: booking around school breaks, paying peak-summer airfare surcharges, and cramming enough gear for four into a minivan.
Then, almost overnight, the house gets quiet.
Once the last kid moves out, parents enter one of life’s most liberating chapters. But if you’re still clocking into a 9-to-5, you aren’t packing up for a three-month trek across Europe just yet.
According to fresh data from YouGov Profiles tracking Americans 46 and older who are employed with no kids at home, working empty nesters are completely abandoning the idea of the single “Big Annual Family Trip.”
Instead, their number-one travel priority has become something much simpler: the quick, drive-to beach weekend.
Nearly 60% of working empty nesters named beach escapes their absolute favorite way to unwind, far outpacing bustling city trips or high-stress itineraries. And rather than saving up all their paid time off for one blowout week, two-thirds of this group took multiple mini-breaks over the past year—with nearly a fifth packing their bags for four or more short getaways.
Related: Why the ‘Micro-Trip’ Is Fall’s Most Viral Travel Trend
Lakes, Backroads, and Lingering DinnersWhile coastal spots lead the pack, they aren’t the only retreat on the radar. Scenic countryside, lakes, and mountain escapes tied with traditional sightseeing, each winning over 50% of travelers looking for a quick change of pace. Urban energy still has its place, with 39% seeking out historic or cultural hubs and 35% opting for quick city breaks.
Once they arrive, the goal isn’t a packed itinerary of scheduled tours. Instead, relaxation and sightseeing tied as the top priorities (66% each), followed almost immediately by long, uninterrupted dinners out (65%). Outdoor adventures (43%) and casual shopping (41%) beat out rigid museum schedules, pointing to a demographic that simply wants the space to breathe and explore at its own speed.
Ditching the Airport for the Open RoadThe way this crowd gets to their destination is just as telling. While luxury travel ads love to highlight sleek airport lounges and sprawling Airbnb villas, two-thirds (67%) of working empty nesters skipped the terminal entirely on their leisure trips, choosing to hop into their own cars. Only 37% boarded a flight.
When it comes to where they sleep, classic hospitality wins handily over vacation home rentals: 60% checked into a traditional hotel or motel, compared to just 21% who booked a short-term rental like an Airbnb or Vrbo.
Their checklist when booking a room is refreshingly practical:
- Cleanliness tops the list: An overwhelming 81% rank spotless housekeeping as their absolute non-negotiable.
- Value and access: Price followed close behind at 76%, alongside a convenient location near town or attractions (64%).
- Brand names don’t matter: Only 24% said sticking to a specific hotel loyalty chain influenced their final choice.

Who’s Along for the Ride (and the One Big Gamble They Take)Unsurprisingly, partners and spouses make up the bulk of travel companions, with 59% taking trips together as a couple. But empty nesters aren’t traveling exclusively as twosomes.
Nearly a quarter (24%) brought their grown children along for the ride, proving that while family dynamics shift once everyone lives under different roofs, parents still love catching up over an unhurried weekend away. Another 19% planned getaways with friends or extended family, while 16% embraced the total independence of traveling solo.
The study did uncover one surprising risk this seasoned demographic is willing to take: crossing international borders completely unprotected.
Of those who traveled abroad in the past 12 months, over half (53%) skipped travel insurance entirely. Only 26% opted for trip cancellation policies, and a mere 14% purchased supplemental travel medical coverage—a bold gamble for an otherwise practical group of travelers.
After years of choreographing carpools and compromising on family-friendly buffets, today’s empty nesters aren’t waiting around for retirement to reclaim their personal time. As it turns out, real vacation freedom doesn’t need to look like a transatlantic flight—sometimes it’s just a full tank of gas, a clean room, and a straight shot to the ocean.

Beloved Singer-Songwriter, Compared to Carole King and Joni Mitchell, Was 'All But Forgotten' Until 26 Years After Her Death
Back in the early ’70s, David Geffen‘s newly established Asylum record label was like a breeding ground for iconic musicians: Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, J.D. Souther and Linda Ronstadt, to name just a few. But while all of those artists went on to become household names, another talented singer-songwriter who recorded for Asylum during that era died in obscurity, leaving her music largely forgotten for decades.
Judee Sill had the distinction of being the first artist to have an album released by Asylum with her self-titled debut in 1971, according to NPR. Sill caught Geffen’s attention while playing at Los Angeles clubs like Fatty Arbuckle’s, having recently devoted herself to becoming a songwriter following a remarkably turbulent upbringing.
Of course, many of music history’s most gifted songwriters struggled with deeply painful pasts, but Sill’s life leading up to her music career was almost incomprehensibly traumatic.
After the deaths of both her father and brother when she was young, Sill’s mother married a man who turned out to be violent and abusive. As a result, Sill ran away from home at 15, according to The Observer, after which she “fell in with a bunch of hoodlums,” including an older man. A string of robberies led to Sill being sent to a girls’ reform school; heroin addiction and a jail sentence came next. Once free, however, Sill was determined to become a successful songwriter.
Sills released two albums with Asylum, both of which were critically acclaimed, drawing comparisons with Mitchell, Carole King and Laura Nyro. She was featured on the 1972 cover of Rolling Stone and earned great respect from her peers.
“She was light years ahead of most of us,” Souther said. “I thought Jackson Browne was the furthest along at having learnt songwriting, but then I met Judee and thought, ‘F—k, man, she’s school for all of us.'”
A Rolling Stone review of her 1973 album Heart Food suggested great things to come:
“The goal of Sill’s spiritual quest is absolute oneness with God, a fusion that is conceived both as psychedelic pantheism and in primitive, Judeo-Christian terms. The language with which Sill has chosen to express her vision is quite unusual and powerful. Her diction is elevated, at times almost Biblical, at others idiomatic… Judee Sill is a most gifted artist, one who continues to promise almost more than I dare hope for,” wrote Stephen Holden.
Tragically, Sill’s third album wouldn’t be released in her lifetime. Called Dreams Come True, a number of songs for the record were recorded at Michael Nesmith‘s studio, but it was never finished. After a falling out with Geffen, a series of car accidents and an unsuccessful back surgery, Sill slipped back into drug use. In 1979, at 35 years old, Sill died from an overdose of opiates and cocaine in her North Hollywood apartment. While the coroner ruled Sill’s death a suicide, those close to her suspected the overdose was accidental, according to the Washington Post.
As the Observer put it, Sill’s loss was “unlamented and all but forgotten” until over two decades later. In 2005, after mixing Sill’s unfinished songs, musician and producer Jim O’Rourke released the material on a two-disc set, Dreams Come True, which also featured demos and other rarities. The next year, in 2006, Rhino released the compilation Abracadabra: The Asylum Years.
Though Sill might never be as famous as her contemporaries became, there’s no question that her work will live on.
“I can barely speak about her without crying,” said Souther. “There’s no one more important in my musical life: she was certainly as important as Linda or Jackson or the Eagles, whatever our twisted brotherhood is. But it was too esoteric. Judee just didn’t get out.”
Kohl's Shoppers Are Calling These Comfy Clogs the 'Perfect Fall Shoe'
Every year, I have a hard time saying goodbye to sandal and flip-flop season. I know fall is coming, I know the leaves are changing, and I know at some point I’m going to have to acknowledge that my feet need actual coverage again. But sandals are just so darn comfortable. My toesies feel free! Why would I willingly put them into socks and boots when they’ve spent the last several months living their best lives?
This year, though, I’ve decided I’m not going quietly into boot season. Instead, I’m declaring fall to be clog season. Think of it as the compromise your feet didn’t know they needed: A little more coverage for crisp autumn days without completely sacrificing that easy, kick-your-shoes-off-and-go feeling. Plus, clogs have a cozy, back-to-school-meets-farmers-market charm that feels just right this time of year. 1989 NBC Show, With 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, Still Ranks Among the Greatest Television Shows of All Time 37 Years Later
Nearly four decades after it first hit the air, “the show about nothing” still shows up near the top of pretty much every worthwhile list of great television.
Seinfeld premiered on NBC on July 5, 1989, created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, initially airing under the title “The Seinfeld Chronicles” before finding its footing and eventually becoming appointment viewing for most of the country by the mid-’90s. The premise, four self-absorbed New Yorkers navigating dating, parking, and dry cleaning disasters, sounded thin on paper. It became one of the most quoted sitcoms ever made.
Much of that comes down to the cast. Julia Louis-Dreyfus played Elaine Benes, Jason Alexander took on the neurotic George Costanza, and Michael Richards turned Cosmo Kramer’s door-sliding entrances into a signature bit almost as recognizable as any line of dialogue. Together with Seinfeld playing a lightly fictionalized version of his own stand-up persona, the four leads built a rapport critics still point to as one of the tightest ensembles in sitcom history.
Reviewers have only warmed to the show with time. Several individual seasons carry a perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, and the series overall sits at 89% across more than 130 reviews, a rare feat for a show whose finale drew mixed reactions when it originally aired in 1998. TV Guide has gone further, naming Seinfeld the No. 1 greatest television show of all time in its own rankings.
The show also left behind a stack of phrases that outlived the series itself: “master of my domain,” “not that there’s anything wrong with that,” “yada yada yada,” and a Festivus dinner that’s since become an actual real-world tradition for plenty of families every December. None of that staying power looked inevitable in 1989, when NBC nearly passed on the pilot after lukewarm test-audience reactions.

Beloved ’60s NBC Show, Which Launched 3 No. 1 Hits, Premiered 60 Years Ago Today
In 1966, four young men chosen for a new television comedy became one of the biggest pop phenomena of the decade.
The Monkees premiered on NBC on Sept. 12, 1966, exactly 60 years ago today, introducing millions of viewers to Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.
Inspired in part by the Beatles movie A Hard Day’s Night, the series followed the misadventures of a struggling rock band. The four stars had been selected after producers placed an advertisement seeking young musicians and singers for a new TV series, but the fictional group quickly became something much bigger.
The Monkees became a real recording act, and within months they were dominating the charts.
Even before the series officially premiered, “Last Train to Clarksville” was introducing listeners to The Monkees.
According to Fred Bronson’s “Billboard Book of Number One Hits,” the single was released on Aug. 16, 1966, less than a month before the premiere. In a remarkable bit of timing, “Last Train to Clarksville” made its first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 the same week The Monkees debuted on NBC.
Eight weeks later, it reached No. 1.
That was only the beginning. Neil Diamond-penned “I’m a Believer” became The Monkees’ second No. 1, beginning a seven-week run atop the Hot 100 at the end of 1966. “Daydream Believer,” written by John Stewart, gave the group its third and final No. 1 the following year.
The success wasn’t confined to singles. The group’s self-titled debut album, released in October 1966, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Dolenz recently reflected on that extraordinary period while marking the show’s 60th anniversary and releasing his new EP, Timeless.
“The stuff from the ’60s, that jangly guitar stuff especially, hasn’t dated that much,” Dolenz told Billboard, adding that people continue to come back to the sound. For him, he said, it ultimately comes down to the strength of the material.
The band’s story wasn’t always as carefree as its television counterpart. The four Monkees increasingly pushed for greater control over their music, eventually becoming more involved in choosing material and playing on their own recordings.
The television series ended in 1968 after 58 episodes, but The Monkees proved remarkably difficult to confine to the ’60s.
Dolenz, now the group’s only surviving member, is marking the anniversary with his “60 Years of the Monkees” show. Appropriately, he is performing at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, exactly six decades after the first episode aired on NBC.
He’s also looking back in print. An updated edition of Dolenz and Mark Bego’s memoir “I’m a Believer: My Life of Monkees, Music, & Madness,” arrives Sept. 15. The 256-page anniversary edition includes 62 black-and-white photographs and new material bringing Dolenz’s story into the present day.
Sixty years after The Monkees premiered, Dolenz still feels connected to Jones, Tork and Nesmith. He told Billboard that performing with their images and voices around him every night makes it feel “almost like they’ve never left.”
And six decades after four young men walked onto television screens as a fictional rock band, people are still watching, listening and believing.

You Can Now ‘Double-Dip’ on Delta Flights and Hyatt Stays
If you’ve spent the last few years carefully linking your American Airlines AAdvantage and World of Hyatt accounts to squeeze extra perks out of every business trip and vacation, your loyalty strategy is about to shift.
In a major competitive pivot, World of Hyatt has officially ended its longtime relationship with American Airlines and immediately announced a new, exclusive strategic tie-up with Delta Air Lines.
For travelers, this marks a clear changing of the guard: American Airlines elites are losing access to hotel-earned status milestones and free night awards, while Delta flyers are gaining the ability to double-dip across two of travel’s most premium brands.
Here’s the exact outcome for your wallet, which deadlines you need to know, and how to start earning.

What You Lose: The American Airlines and Hyatt TimelineThe partnership between American and Hyatt has been in place since 2019, but the door is officially closing in early 2027. If you frequently use both programs, keep these critical cutoff dates on your calendar:
- November 15, 2026 (The Linking Deadline): If your accounts are not linked by 11:59 p.m. CT on November 15, you lose access to crossover milestone perks immediately. If they are already linked, you do not need to do anything.
- December 31, 2026: The final day linked World of Hyatt members can select AAdvantage awards—like preferred seat coupons or status trials—through Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards.
- February 28, 2027: The final day linked AAdvantage elites can select World of Hyatt awards (including Category 1–4 and Category 1–7 free night certificates) through Loyalty Point Rewards.
- The Lingering Option: After February 28, 2027, the only remaining link between the two programs will be the basic ability to elect 500 AAdvantage miles per eligible Hyatt stay instead of earning Hyatt points.

What You Gain: The Delta “Dual Earn” SystemInstead of American, Hyatt’s loyalty future is now tethered to Delta SkyMiles. The core outcome of this new partnership—launching in the coming months—is a true Dual Earn model for elite members:
- World of Hyatt Elites (Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist) will earn World of Hyatt points on qualifying Delta flights across eligible fare classes—in addition to standard SkyMiles.
- Delta Medallion Elites (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond) will earn Delta SkyMiles on eligible spending at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts—in addition to standard World of Hyatt points.
In plain terms, you no longer have to choose between earning airline miles or hotel points; you get both simultaneously.
The move pairs Delta, which has heavily expanded its domestic business-class options, with Hyatt’s massive lineup of luxury resorts around the globe. As Delta CEO Ed Bastian noted: “Premium has never been about just a seat—it’s a standard of care that shows up throughout the journey… Hyatt shares that same premium approach to everything from travel and dining to entertainment and accommodations.”

The Action PlanTo make sure you don’t leave points or perks on the table during the transition, follow these three steps:
- Link American and Hyatt Before Nov. 15: Even though the breakup is happening, linking right now ensures you can still redeem leftover 2026 Loyalty Point Rewards and Hyatt Milestone choices before the doors close for good in early 2027.
- Prepare to Stack Hyatt Points on Delta Flights: World of Hyatt points are widely considered by points analysts to be the most valuable hotel currency in the industry (frequently valued at roughly double the rate of competing hotel points). Getting to earn them automatically while flying Delta is a massive win for regular flyers.
- Wait for Official Enrollment Details: Delta and Hyatt have confirmed that formal fare-class requirements, earning ratios, and reciprocal elite recognition will go live over the next few months. Keep an eye out for the official account-linking portal before booking your next flight or hotel stay.

Walmart’s ‘Vibrant’ Under-$20 Sunflower Basket Wreath Is the Perfect Summer-to-Fall Decor Find
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
A traditional round wreath isn’t the only way to brighten up your front door. Walmart’s bestselling Myecovie Sunflower Basket Wreath looks more like a freshly gathered bouquet tucked into a rustic hanging basket, giving it an extra dose of farmhouse and cottage-inspired charm. It’s also currently just $19, down from $27, so you’re saving nearly $10 on an easy seasonal upgrade.
This adorable wreath features a handwoven rattan basket overflowing with faux sunflowers, white daisy-like blooms, goldenrod, and leafy greenery. It has a burlap bow tied around the front that completes the rustic look, and it measures 17 by 8 by 2 inches.
Myecovie Sunflower Basket Wreath, $19 (was $27) at Walmart Shop at WalmartThe wreath’s unique basket-style design gives you the look of flowers freshly gathered from the garden, while the mix of yellow, white, and green adds a cheerful pop of color. It can even be displayed in an entryway or on a tabletop indoors when you want to bring that same bright, cottage-inspired look into another part of the house.
One reviewer said, “It’s wonderful for summer,” while another called it “beautiful and cheerful” and wrote, “The sunflowers will be perfect on my door into fall.” Other shoppers praised its “vibrant colors,” and one called it the “perfect size,” noting that the sunflowers look fresh.
Another perk is that there’s basically no setup involved. The flowers come already arranged inside the basket, so you don’t have to fluff individual stems or put anything together before hanging it up. The materials are also designed to resist fading, which is especially helpful for a piece you may want to keep displayed through the end of summer and into fall.
If you’ve been looking for a unique piece of summer-to-fall decor, the Myecovie Sunflower Basket Wreath is a very pretty way to brighten up your space. The rattan basket, sunflowers, and burlap bow give it plenty of farmhouse charm, and at under $20, it’s an easy seasonal update that doesn’t require a big decorating budget. Be sure to snag it while it’s still marked down at Walmart.

1994 Tom Hanks Movie Is Named One of the Best Movies of All Time — Despite its 75% Rotten Tomatoes Score
When you initially think about all the Tom Hanks movies out there, a handful from the 1990s stand out. Forrest Gump is one of them, often a gateway to Hanks’s other big hits.
Sure enough, it’s a fan-favorite for a variety of reasons. It would go on to win six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor in a Leading Role, and yet it only holds a 75% Rotten Tomatoes score. It’s because of that that it doesn’t make it to the site’s own best movies list, but IMDb puts it at No. 12 on its own list, making it clear that this is one for the viewers.
Forrest Gump is based on a book of the same name by Winston Groom. This is one of those cases where the movie is considered to be better than the book, as the original source material is considered dark and cold. As the movie was adapted, the character of Forrest was adapted to be far more gentle and earnest rather than the profanity-laced original character from the book. Just a year after the movie’s release, Groom published a sequel novel titled Grump & Co., and it started with the line “Don’t never let nobody make a movie or your life’s story,” noting the success of the novel and the changes that were made.
Hanks decided not to take the usual salary for a movie like this, but not because he thought it would be a better financial move. He and director Robert Zemeckis personally funded some of the sequences because Paramount faced budget issues. To add to that, Hanks opted for a box-office percentage instead of the flat-fee, which was a huge risk that paid off tenfold.
He also wasn’t the only Hanks in the movie. There were times that his own brother, Jim, would step in as a stunt double, mostly famously when it came to the long running scene, which was inspired by Louis Michael Figueroa’s run from New Jersey to San Francisco in 1982 to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society.
In a 2025 interview, Hanks and his Forrest Gump co-star Robin Wright looked back on the first scene of them together in the movie, and it took them some time to think back to that moment 30 years ago.
“I was doing what the script said, and you [to Wright] were doing what the script said to say,” Hanks shared, “And it turns out to be this thing.”
He also shared a little about how he had to pivot in the middle of a filming day, going from shooting the Vietnam scenes to being at Jenny’s grave, saying, “That’s the beast, man.”
Wright followed up by saying, “We did not have room on the schedule for Tom to be able to run across the United States, so it was like ‘no lunch period for you…’ and they would film Forrest running wherever they could get it.” It was certainly a beautiful look back at such an iconic movie.

Hitting The Gym With His Son, TennysonCrowe took to Twitter/X back in July to share a touching birthday message in honor of his son Tennyson‘s 20th birthday. But it was the duo’s wild biceps in the gym that caught the attention of social media users.
“20 years ago today, at 7 minutes to 7am, this amazing young man arrived in our lives. Happy Birthday Tenny,” Crowe captioned the photo set, which saw the proud dad and his son flexing their biceps alongside each other in the gym. Both sporting long, flowing hair, the dynamic father-son duo had matching smiles on their faces. That was accompanied by a shot of the duo riding horses together, as well as a throwback shot of Crowe holding his son as a baby.

How Did Russell Crowe Lose the Weight?Back in 2024, Crowe weighed about 50 pounds more. In November, he made an appearance on the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast and revealed how he managed to drop the extra pounds.
“I was 126 kilos when I finished Nuremberg,” Crowe told Rogan about his role as Hermann Göring in the 2025 film. “I’m 100.9 now.”
Crowe explained that in addition to focusing on diet and exercise, he credits much of his weight loss to Rogan introducing him to a platform called Ways2Well. According to its website, Ways2Well is a healthcare platform that combines everything from bloodwork and hormone optimization to stem cell therapy and peptide therapy.
“I’m not really across the science, but the real benefit I’m getting from these into my shoulders, my knees, and also IVs, is that it’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” Crowe said, adding that he has years of sports injuries and arthritis.
