Costco's Entire Food Court Menu, Ranked From Worst to Best

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:44pm

Walking into Costco is an experience in itself. From the moment you pull up to the warehouse giant, you already know you’re about to spend more time in there than you'd originally planned. After the store's greeters give you a warm welcome upon arrival, you’re thrown into a world full of bulk deals, oversized snacks and some of the most random finds you never knew you needed. One minute you’re grabbing paper towels, and the next you’re staring at giant tubs of candy, trending food items, TVs bigger than your living room and enough free samples to count as lunch.

But no matter how good the shopping experience is, the real star of the warehouse store has always been the Costco food court. Even on days when I don’t need a single thing for the house, somehow I still find myself pulling into that parking lot just for a quick bite. The legendary food court has become a comfort spot for shoppers thanks to its affordable prices, huge portions and a selection of menu items that honestly have no business being this good.

In the spirit of understanding everything that Costco offers in its food court, I decided to do the ultimate taste test. I tried the entire Costco food court menu (minus the Rotisserie Chicken Chef Salad because it wasn't available) and ranked every item from worst to best to see which foods are truly worth the hype and which ones should probably stay off your tray.

Costco's Entire Food Court Menu, Ranked Worst to Best

Here's my ranking of every Costco food court item after I taste-tested everything.

13. Chicken Bake

Courtesy Choya Johnson

The Chicken Bake might honestly be one of the most overrated things on the Costco food court menu. I know people swear by it, but for me it just felt way too heavy without enough payoff in flavor. The bread gets dry fast, the chicken can feel overly processed and after a couple bites, eating it felt more like a chore and less like enjoying a snack.

Sure, it’s cheesy and packed with bacon and filling, but it feels like something you regret halfway through while still trying to convince yourself it’s good because everybody else says it is.

12. Chocolate Sundae

Courtesy Choya Johnson

This chocolate sundae isn’t terrible, but compared to everything else Costco offers, it just feels a little basic. The vanilla ice cream is still creamy and smooth, but the chocolate syrup overload makes it feel extra sweet without much balance. A few bites in, and it starts tasting more sugary than satisfying.

It’s the kind of dessert you grab because it looks good in the moment, but then you realize later that you probably should’ve picked something else.

11. Caramel Cold Brew Freeze

Courtesy Choya Johnson

I wanted to like this more than I actually did. The caramel tries hard to carry the drink, but the coffee flavor gets buried under all the sweetness. It almost tastes more like a melted dessert than an actual cold brew. Don’t get me wrong. It’s refreshing to drink while walking around Costco, but after a few sips it starts feeling heavy and overly sweet instead of smooth and balanced.

10. Cold Brew Mocha Freeze

Courtesy Choya Johnson

This cold brew offering was slightly better than the caramel version because the mocha gives it more depth, but it still falls into that same category of being more sugar than coffee.

It’s not bad by any means, but if you’re expecting a bold coffee flavor, you’re probably going to leave disappointed. It tastes like something that sounds better on paper than it actually drinks in real life.

9. Strawberry Sundae

Courtesy Choya Johnson

The strawberry sundae feels fresher than the chocolate sundae version, and the fruit topping helps cut through some of the sweetness. The problem is that the strawberry mix can sometimes taste more syrupy than like real strawberry fruit, which takes away from it a little.

It's still enjoyable and definitely refreshing after walking around the warehouse for an hour, but it's not something I’d go out of my way to order every visit.

8. Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Courtesy Choya Johnson

This smoothie feels like Costco trying to give you a healthier option while still keeping it sweet enough for the food court crowd. The strawberry flavor stands out the most, while the banana smooths everything together.

It’s refreshing, cold and easy to drink while shopping, but it still has a slightly artificial smoothie taste that keeps it from being truly great.

7. Hot Turkey and Provolone Sandwich

Courtesy Choya Johnson

This sandwich feels like one of the Costco food court's most underrated menu items. The turkey and melted provolone combination works really well, and the toasted bread gives it a nice crunch. It’s warm, savory and honestly feels more like a deli sandwich than typical food court food. The only downside is that it can quickly get a little greasy and messy, but flavor-wise it deserves more love than it gets.

6. Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie

Courtesy Choya Johnson

This cookie is dangerously good. Costco somehow made a cookie that feels homemade while still being oversized in true Costco fashion. The outside has a slight crisp, while the inside stays soft and loaded with melted chocolate chunks.

It’s rich, warm and honestly feels like one of those desserts you tell yourself you’ll save half of for later knowing good and well that’s not happening.

Related: Costco Just Brought Back a Fan-Favorite Dessert and Fans Are Racing to the Bakery

5. Cheese Pizza

Courtesy Choya Johnson

Costco’s cheesepizza is one of the most dependable food court items the warehouse has. The slices are massive, the cheese pull is elite and the crust has that soft but slightly crispy texture that just works. Costco pizza is greasy in the best way possible, and this one tastes exactly how a food court pizza should taste: simple, cheesy and satisfying every single time.

Related: The 10 Best Keto Snacks at Costco, According to Dietitians

4. Caramel Brownie Sundae

Courtesy Choya Johnson

Now this is where the dessert menu finally starts getting serious. The Costco caramel brownie sundae feels excessive in the best way. You’ve got creamy vanilla ice cream, chunks of brownie and caramel layered together into something that honestly feels way more premium than a warehouse food court dessert should. Every bite tastes rich, gooey and over the top without completely falling apart balance-wise.

3. Calzone

Courtesy Choya Johnson

The calzone surprised me the most out of everything on this menu. It’s cheesy, flavorful and packed enough to actually feel worth the price. The crust stays soft while still having a little crisp on the outside, and the filling actually tastes seasoned instead of bland.

This feels like one of those hidden Costco gems people overlook because they automatically go straight for the pizza or hot dog.

2. All Beef Hot Dog

Courtesy Choya Johnson

You simply cannot talk about Costco food court history without mentioning the legendary hot dog combo. For the price alone it honestly deserves respect. The hot dog has that perfect snap when you bite into it, the bun stays soft and pairing it with a cold drink makes it one of the best value meals in fast food. It’s not fancy, and it doesn’t need to be. This is pure nostalgia and consistency all wrapped into one perfect combo.

1. Pepperoni Pizza

Courtesy Choya Johnson

At the end of the day, nothing at the Costco food court beats the pepperoni pizza for me. It delivers every single thing you want from a food court meal: a massive portion, bold flavor, cheesy goodness and that greasy satisfaction that somehow makes the entire Costco trip feel complete.

It’s affordable, consistent and honestly part of the Costco experience itself at this point. No matter how many new items come and go from the menu, this Costco pizza is the one item that keeps me coming back every single time.

Best-Selling Author’s Classic Novel Ranked Among ‘Most Read Books’ in United States on Goodreads

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:42pm

More than a year after its debut, The Women is still one of the biggest reading phenomena in America.

The bestselling historical novel by Kristin Hannah was recently included on Goodreads' list of the most-read books in the United States this year, further cementing its status as one of the defining book-club and historical fiction successes of the decade.

Originally released in hardcover in 2024, The Women tells the story of Frances "Frankie" McGrath, a young nursing student who joins the Army Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War. What begins as a patriotic decision quickly transforms into a life-altering experience as Frankie confronts the brutal realities of war abroad and the emotional fallout waiting back home.

"The Vietnam War cast a big shadow over my childhood," recalls Hannah. "I remember the turbulence of the era, the unrest. When I was in elementary school, my best friend’s father was MIA; he'd been shot down in 1967. I remember wearing his POW bracelet for decades. As a result, his name was burned into my memory. Because of him, I remember vividly the sense of waiting for the warriors to come home, and I remember how they were treated upon return."

View this post on Instagram

The novel struck a major chord with readers for its emotional storytelling and its focus on women whose contributions during the Vietnam War were often overlooked in mainstream historical narratives.

Hannah, already known for bestselling novels like The Nightingale and The Four Winds, once again blended sweeping historical detail with deeply personal character-driven storytelling, a formula that has helped make her one of the most commercially successful authors working today.

Part of the book's enduring popularity also comes from strong word-of-mouth momentum online, particularly through book communities on Goodreads, TikTok and social media reading groups.

Now, fans have another milestone to look forward to: the paperback edition of The Women is scheduled for release on September 15, 2026, and is already available for preorder.

The upcoming paperback release is expected to introduce the novel to an even broader audience, especially as historical fiction continues dominating bestseller lists and book club discussions.

"I don't intend my characters to be role models," Hannah told TODAY. "I intend them to be full-blooded humans that maybe teach you something and entertain you. The point of being someone to emulate is that you are the kind of person who doesn't give up. No matter what mistakes you make, you do your very best to rectify them and to get back on the right path."

Its place among Goodreads' most-read books of the year proves that The Women has become far more than a temporary bestseller, it's a modern historical fiction phenomenon.

IKEA Just Dropped a New Chair That Feels '90s and Futuristic at the Same Time

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:25pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Inflatable furniture is back, and I'm jumping for joy. IKEA has a new release delighting nostalgic millennials like me who long for the fun furniture of the '90s and early 2000s. This one, however, has a modern twist that takes it to a new level. This IKEA version is far more refined than the floral plastic inflatable chair I had in my room as a pre-teen.

The brand-new IKEA PS 2026 Chair, with an inflatable seat and back cushion, sits in that exact tension between memory foam and modern design. It is a comfy, bright green armchair with inflatable cushions inside a sturdy chrome metal frame. The seat has two individually inflatable air chambers, one in the middle and one around it, so you can create the exact firmness and seating comfort you want. It even comes with a pump so you can customize the firmness.

IKEA PS 2026 Chair, Knäbäck Bright Green, $199.99 at IKEA

IKEA

Shop It!

What makes IKEA especially interesting here is how it draws on older ideas about what the future of furniture might look like. The inflatable form is not new at all. It echoes a design lineage from the 1960s and '70s when designers were imagining homes made of lightweight modular systems rather than heavy permanent objects.

Related: Shoppers Love This Foldable IKEA Recliner That Turns Any Patio Into a Relaxing Escape

That is the retro side of what you are seeing. It carries the visual language of space age interiors, plastic optimism and modular living systems that were once imagined as the future but now read as a distinct aesthetic era.

At the same time, IKEA pushes it into the realm of futurism. The chrome frame gives it a clean industrial edge that sits comfortably in modern product design. The idea that you can tune the firmness, wash the cover and treat the chair almost like a system rather than a fixed object fits neatly with how people live now, with more adaptable, less formal interiors.

That is why it lands as both retro and futuristic. It references older visions of tomorrow while still feeling completely plausible in a present-day living space.

Priced at $199.99 and dropping May 14, this is exactly the kind of unexpected design move that makes IKEA feel fun again. The Knäbäck bright green version in particular leans all the way into that playful energy while still looking intentional enough for a living room refresh.

2009 Horror Comedy With Star-Studded Cast Is Climbing The Charts 17 Years Later

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:22pm

Horror fans are proving they will never forget the 2009 comedy Jennifer’s Body, with a star-studded cast and cult following.

Jennifer’s Body starred Megan Fox, Adam Brody,Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons,Juan Riedinger,Chris Pratt,and J.K. Simmons.

The horror film has been gaining traction again all these years later, largely fueled by nostalgia, thanks to streaming, as Jennifer’s Body recently dropped on Netflix.

According to Tudum,Jennifer’s Body landed in the Top 10 of the most-watched movies in the first week it was released on the streaming service. It ended up at number 6, with over 3 million movies in its first week on Netflix, spanning 23 countries.

She's evil... and not just high school evil.

Jennifer’s Body focuses on popular high school girl Jennifer, who turns into a succubus and begins trying to kill her male classmates. It comes after the indie band Low Shoulder makes a pact with the Devil that involves the soul of a virgin to help further their career.

When Jennifer meets the band after a performance, she leaves with them, much to the dismay of her best friend, Needy (Seyfried). The band then kills Jennifer, but things go awry because she isn’t a virgin, and Jennifer comes back to life with a vengeance.

In 2025, controversy surrounded Jennifer’s Body when Seyfried declared the film was “perfect,” but the marketing team ruined it.

“I can’t critique this movie. To me, it’s perfect. It’s got balls. Diablo Cody was outspoken and beautiful and smart and funny. We were expressing a certain angst in a very specific, comedic way in a very specific genre. The special effects were so incredible, there were stunts, there was everything you could want,” the Mean Girls star shared withGQ.

Seyfried went on to blast the marketing team, saying, “The marketing sucked, it just did. And we all agree." The marketing for Jennifer’s Body focused heavily on Fox’s sex appeal and popularity, clashing with the film's tone and alienating the female audience. Years later, it developed a cult following among women and the LGBTQ community, with many saying the feminist film, addressing toxic friendship, sexuality, and teen girl dynamics, was ahead of its time.

Classic Series Ranked No. 1 'Best Time-Travel Show' Was Creator’s Favorite

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:22pm

More than 30 years after it first premiered on NBC, Quantum Leap is still leaping through pop culture history.

TVLine recently ranked the series the No. 1 greatest TV show about time travel, placing it ahead of series like Doctor Who, Outlander, Lokiand Star Trek: The Next Generation. The publication praised the show’s emotional storytelling, calling it “episodic, yet its overall arc packs a punch” while highlighting the chemistry between starsScott Bakula and Dean Stockwell.

Created by Donald P. Bellisario, the series originally aired from 1989 to 1993 and followed Dr. Sam Beckett, a physicist who becomes trapped leaping through different points in time and inhabiting the lives of other people while trying to “put right what once went wrong.”

Years later, Bellisario admitted the series remained his personal favorite out of all the shows he created.

“Because it was so original,” Bellisario said during a 2012 interview with the Television Academy. “People talk about time travel shows and that, but there was nothing like Quantum Leap.”

The producer explained that the series began as a way to reinvent the classic anthology format for network television.

“I always wanted to make an anthology,” Bellisario said. “Networks hate anthologies.”

Instead, Bellisario realized he could create a time-travel series that still allowed him to tell completely different stories every week while keeping familiar lead characters audiences would return for.

“If I did it, I could have one or two characters that the audience would get to love, and then I could tell any story I wanted,” he explained.

Part of what made the series stand out was its emotional core. While many science-fiction shows focused heavily on futuristic technology or complicated mythology, Quantum Leap often centered on ordinary people, family relationships and regret.

Bellisario said one of the most personal moments came while filming the show’s finale inside a painstaking recreation of his father’s bar from 1953.

“I did it as an homage to my dad,” Bellisario recalled.

But after sitting alone on the recreated set one night, he realized the physical details were not what he truly missed.

“It was the people that were in there that made it so memorable to me,” he said.

That emotional sense of longing ultimately became part of what made Quantum Leap resonate so deeply with viewers, especially after its famously bittersweet ending revealed that Sam Beckett never returned home.

Years later, Bakula admitted the finale still sparks strong reactions from fans.
“People still come up to me and talk about that finale,” Bakula told Zap2it in a later interview. “They were devastated by it.”

Bakula explained that while a lot of viewers wanted Sam to finally return home, he eventually came to appreciate the deeper meaning behind the ending.

“The older I get, the more I understand it,” he said. “Sam’s purpose was helping people.”
The actor added that he still likes to imagine Sam Beckett continuing his journey somewhere out in time.

“In my mind, Sam is still out there leaping,” Bakula said.

That mixture of hope, regret and unfinished longing remains part of why Quantum Leap still resonates with viewers decades later—and why many fans continue to see Sam Beckett’s story as one of television’s most beloved sci-fi adventures.

I Tried the Viral 'No-Peel' Hard-Boiled Egg Trick and I'm Never Going Back

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:01pm

Over the last decade, I have tried every hard-boiled egg trick in the book. Start in cold water. No, hot water. Use baking soda. No, vinegar. Steam them! Shake them in a jar! Roll them under your palm while whispering sweet nothings. And despite it all, I still end up with eggs that are either undercooked, weirdly gray or so mangled from peeling that they look like they lost a bar fight.

So when I saw a no-peel hard-boiled egg hack, shared by content creator Nicole Jaques (@itsnicolejaques), I practically sprinted to the kitchen. This was a total game-changer! I got perfectly cooked eggs with zero peeling involved and I’m never going back.

Here, I'll walk you through the steps of how to try this out yourself. Whether you're interested in using just a few eggs or a dozen, you'll be able to use this method that results in perfect eggs—no peeling required.

A 'No-Peel' Hard-Boiled Egg Hack

This hack isn’t just easy—it’s genius. It’s called an “egg loaf” or "no peel" hard-boiled eggs and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. This simple method is the shortcut of your egg salad dreams. What, you don't dream about egg salad?

View this post on Instagram

I used four eggs because I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but Nicole says to use a whole dozen if you have a big enough loaf pan, and I agree with that now that I've tried it. You're going to want a lot of these eggs!

Related:The Controversial Hard-Boiled Egg Trick That Has People Divided

Utensils and Tools Needed

You'll need a loaf pan of any size (depends on how many eggs you want to make), a baking dish that the loaf pan will fit into and a cooling rack. You can also use a large bowl to catch your eggs, but I just used the baking dish.

This egg loaf hack was simple and delicious.

Angel Albring

How To Make No-Peel Hard-Boiled Eggs

Preheat your oven to 350° and lightly grease the loaf pan. Crack the eggs directly into the pan, leaving them whole and unwhisked. I also seasoned mine with some Cajun seasoning, but you can use whatever seasoning you like.

I used four eggs for my 'no-peel' egg loaf

Angel Albring

Place the loaf pan into a baking dish and pour some water around it (not into the eggs). Bake your eggs for around 30 minutes, checking them at the 25-minute mark, making sure the center is fully set and no longer jiggly.

Let the egg loaf cool slightly, then turn it out onto a cutting board. Place a cooling rack over a large bowl or the baking dish (I made sure to dry it first) and press the loaf through the grid of the rack using a spatula or your hand (I tried both and the spatula worked better). This method gives you perfectly chopped eggs in seconds!

Seriously, it’s like egg salad confetti. No sticky shells. No weird egg pockmarks. Just clean, uniform, fluffy chopped eggs ready for anything. They were delicious and cooked to perfection!

The eggs in this egg loaf came out perfectly seasoned and cooked. Review: Why This Egg Hack Is the Hero of Meal Prep

With this hack, you can skip the peeling and chopping and go straight to eating the eggs. Add a little Dijon, mayo and some celery, and you’ve got lunch.

Nothing says “I have my life together” like a salad topped with neat, perfectly chopped eggs, and these eggs help you feel like you can do anything, at least for a little while. This is especially good for meal prepping like a champ.

This egg loaf was easy to chop by pushing it through the rack.

Angel Albring

Bonus: You can scale this up or down based on your pan. Want to make just four eggs? Use a mini loaf pan. Feeding a crowd? Use a bigger dish and make a double batch.

This hack is almost suspiciously easy. No boiling, no shocking in ice water, no sacrificing your fingernails to the shell gods. Once you try it, you’ll feel like you’ve joined a secret club of people who know how to make egg salad without suffering.

Nick Lachey Says Ex Jessica Simpson Ended Up on the Same 6-Hour Flight to Hawaii

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 4:00pm

Finally, singer and Love Is Blind co-host Nick Lachey, 52, is dishing on that rumored run-in with ex-wife, singer Jessica Simpson, 45, on a recent flight to Hawaii. Turns out, the rumor is true. And to make matters all the more awkward, on the same flight were: Nick's wife Vanessa Lachey, along with their three kids, and Jessica's mom Tina Simpson, Jessica's ex Eric Johnson, and Jessica and Eric's three kids.

On the May 13 episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen put Lachey in the hot seat about the rumored encounter. "There were rumors that you and your ex Jessica Simpson ran into each other on a plane recently. Is that true?"

"It is true," Lachey laughed. "It was strangely okay. You know, it's been 20 years since [the divorce]—and so we haven't seen each other in those 20 years and then spent six and a half hours on a flight to Hawaii together."

Lachey does clarify it wasn't that cozy of a reunion, "But when I say 'spent' ... in the same vicinity." He added, "But it was very cordial, very respectful."

Related: Rihanna's New Tattoo Was 'Designed by Her Babies'

And Cohen, as Cohen does, then did his very best draw out any juicy details, taking the time to name everyone who was on that same long flight across the Pacific Ocean together.

"It was honestly, it was fine," said Lachey.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were married from 2002 to 2006. Their relationship was made super-famous due to the couple's MTV reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. Of course, this also added to the highly public nature of their divorce after three years, too.

Watch Nick Lachey discussing the run-in with Jessica Simpson.

1989 Movie With a Devastating Ending Became One of the Most Timeless Dramas Ever

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 3:54pm

Robin Williams may have drawn audiences into theaters to see Dead Poets Society in 1989, but moviegoers left emotionally devastated by the film’s heartbreaking ending. More than 35 years later, the acclaimed drama still resonates for its painful themes of conformity, parental pressure, regret, and lost potential. Of course, that emotional staying power is part of why Dead Poets Society was recently recognized among the most timeless drama films ever made.

The critics at Collider recently ranked Dead Poets Society as No. 7 on their list of “10 Most Timeless Drama Movies," placing it ahead of acclaimed films like Manchester by the Sea (2016), Ordinary People (1980), and Kramer vs. Kramer (1979).

Released on June 2, 1989, Dead Poets Society centers on Mr. Keating (Williams), an unconventional English teacher at an elite prep school who encourages his students to challenge tradition and pursue self-discovery. Among them are Todd Anderson (Ethan Hawke) and Neil Perry (Robert Sean Leonard), two teens struggling under intense pressure and familial expectations.

Photo by Francois Duhamel on Getty Images

Keating’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires creativity and good rebellion in his students, but Neil takes the lesson to the point of no return. Neil's overbearing father forbids him to perform the lead in a play, a passion that matters far more to Neil than the medical career his father has planned for him. After defying his father to perform anyway, Neil experiences a brief sense of purpose and freedom before feeling trapped once again by expectations he cannot escape. Later that night, Neil dies by suicide.

Audiences were so swept up in all the students' acts of self-discovery, Neil's tragic story arc landed like a gut punch. His death leads to an unraveling for his parents, friends, and Mr. Keating in a way that feels complex and painfully real. The critics at Collider explain this well: "Keating is not framed as a flawless hero; he is a spark, and the film refuses to pretend sparks cannot start fires. The boys’ choices carry weight, and the story does not soften the consequences."

Related: 1989 Hit Film That Defined Romance for a Generation Turns 37 Years Old Today

Williams earned an Oscar nomination for his role as John Keating while the film (writer Tom Schulman) won Best Original Screenplay. Mr. Keating became one of Williams’ defining roles—he balanced inspiration, humor, and melancholy so effortlessly. Rewatching Dead Poets Society after Williams’ death by suicide in 2014 added yet another emotional layer to the story.

The film’s themes remain painfully relevant today. Academic pressure, parental expectations, and the struggle to define one’s identity can still feel overwhelming for many young people, even as conversations around mental health have become more open. That relatability has helped the movie endure across generations. Gen X audiences continue introducing the film to younger viewers while streaming and social media have given it new life online. A search for #deadpoetssociety into TikTok returns more than 102.4K posts.

Dead Poets Society is as beautiful as it is gut-wrenching, and its powerful ending transformed it from a strong drama into an enduring classic. The iconic “O Captain! My Captain!” scene—in which Keating’s students stand on their desks in a act of resistance after he is fired—offers a small but powerful moment of catharsis after overwhelming loss. Even decades later, the film’s ideas about art, courage, and “seizing the day” still resonate with a quiet sense of hope.

Catherine Deneuve, 82, Is Still a Blonde Goddess on the Red Carpet 60 Years After ‘Belle de Jour'

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 3:53pm

Catherine Deneuve is a staple of French cinema, but she's barely changed in the nearly 60 years since her groundbreaking role in Belle de Jour.

Deneuve, 82, rose to stardom as Geneviève Emery in the romantic film musical The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. A veteran of endless French films, she’s most often associated with her role in Luis Buñuel’s 1967 psychological erotic drama Belle de Jour. With a career spanning 70 years, Deneuve is a legend of the cinema, no matter what country she’s in. But nearly 60 years since she tackled that complex role, the French beauty hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

Alongside fellow cast members from Parallel Tales, Deneuve and friends gathered at Lucia Cannes to celebrate the film’s screening at the festival.  At 82, Deneuve is still every bit the blonde goddess she was in 1967!

Deneuve Says She's Not a Big Fan of Nudity Onscreen

Her role in 1967's Belle du Jour, in which she played a housewife who also works as a high-class prostitute, contributed to her sex symbol stereotype. In a new interview in The Hollywood Reporter, Deneuve says shooting some scenes in the film was "difficult. I wasn’t ready to do everything exactly as written,” she shared. “And Luis Buñuel didn’t explain much to actors, so at the beginning, it was complicated. But the film went well, and after that we did another film together [Tristana], which was wonderful.”

Her role as a sex worker, as well as several Playboy pictorials, led many to see her as the sex kitten type. But Deneuve said she's really not into nudity in film.

“I’m not a big fan of nudity in films,” she said. “When you are naked, you are no longer quite a character — you are just a person, a body. It’s difficult to stay in the story of a character.”

Sonic is enticing fans with a promising new offer that'll have them enjoying discounts and freebies from the start.

On Thursday, the American drive-in chain announced the launch of its first dedicated rewards program that allows members to earn points, unlock perks, enjoy app-only offers and redeem freebies regularly. And yes, this is very different from Sonic's prior app-exclusive rewards—this program offers more than just deals for using the app; it also includes points, perks, and challenges.

"We built Sonic Rewards around one simple idea: every visit should feel like a win," Ryan Dickerson, chief marketing officer at Sonic, explained in a statement. "By giving guests more ways to earn through both visits and spend, plus added perks like challenges and treats, we’re creating a program that’s more flexible, more personalized and more fun every time they choose Sonic."

Sonic Introduces Rewards Program With Exclusive Deals and Freebies

According to the May 14 press release, the chain's loyalty program includes benefits such as a free corn dog or small shake on your birthday and access to exclusive, personalized offers only available in the Sonic app. Fans can even start enjoying freebies as soon as they sign up, as the company is offering a free Welcome Reward that includes medium fries, tots, or a drink on the house.

As Dickerson said, "Every order becomes an opportunity to earn, unlock and get more out of the Sonic experience."

Subscribers start at the Member tier, which Sonic said gets them 10 points per dollar spent and access to all core perks and offers. After 10 visits in a calendar year, rewards members are upgraded to the Star tier, earning 11 points per dollar spent in addition to all core benefits. Customers who visit Sonic at least 30 times in one year will be advanced to Legend status, earning 12 points per dollar spent and the choice of one VIP benefit during each visit:

  • Half-price Drinks and Slushes
  • Free Snack or Side with any purchase (one redemption available per week)
  • $2 off any $10 or more purchase

To celebrate the new program, Sonic is rolling out a "Month of Wins" featuring exclusive member offers and weekly deal drops in the app throughout May. 2001 Film Ranked the 'Best Horror Movie of the 21st Century'

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 3:16pm

Since the turn of the century, horror movies have become more mainstream and critically acclaimed. The publication Slant showcased some of the most beloved films from the spooky genre by sharing a list of "the 100 best horror movies of the 21st century."

The ranking, updated in October 2025, featured scary movies released after 2000 like Smile 2 (2024), Insidious (2010), Lake Mungo (2008), Hereditary (2018), The Babadook (2014), Drag Me to Hell (2009), and Get Out (2017). According to Slant, the top five horror films of the last 26 years include Let the Right One In (2008), Halloween II (2009), Trouble Every Day (2001), and Under the Skin (2013), with Pulse (2001) taking home the number one spot.

Pulse has a score of 76 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and a 68 on Metacritic.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa Discussed Making Horror Films in a 2025 Interview

In a 2025 interview with Studio 9, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the director and writer of Pulse, discussed his decision to make several scary movies, like The Guard from Underground (1992), Loft (2005), and Daguerrotype (2016). Kurosawa, now 70, said that "horror is a genre [he has] loved since [he] was a child."

"I've always wanted to make scary films. And I am very happy that I have made several films in this genre. And I hope to make more in the future if I get the chance," continued the filmmaker in the 2025 interview.

Kurosawa also shared that he's aware that his horror films aren't for every audience.

"One thing I really feel, having made many films in this genre, is that when you really try to take it seriously, it becomes difficult to make something that the average person can enjoy," said Kurosawa. "You'll make something very philosophical that the general public may not understand or enjoy. I always feel this way because we are forced to deal with death, something ultimately incomprehensible to the living. It's not a concept easy to communicate. That is why it's very difficult to make a simple and enjoyable film in this genre."

Five Below's 8-Piece Fluted Organizer Set Is Perfect for Sorting the Small Stuff

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 3:05pm

Not sure if you've noticed, but storage can't just be storage anymore. It has to both organize clutterand look good doing it. It's what you, I and everyone else deserve. Functional pieces that do a job in the most stylish way possible, even if that just means corralling your makeup, hair accessories or craft materials.

Because, listen, we want to be surrounded by things that make us happy, right? And there's nothing that clears one's head better than a chic, well-organized space. I used to head to The Container Store for a lot of bins and storage accessories (and I still do), but more recently, Five Below has become my go-to for organizing my household more affordably. No offense at all to The Container Store, but the total adds up really fast over there.

Fluted Organizer Set 8-Pack, $5.55 at Five Below

Five Below

On my must-buy list at Five Below is this eight-piece Fluted Organizer Set, available in a clear colorway so you can see everything stored inside from the outside. At $5.55, it's such a steal for this many different compartments of varying sizes. This way, you can sort smaller items (like hair ties, makeup, beads, what have you) without worrying that they'll somehow go rogue into another section. It's three tiers of organization, and I am loving it. I'll gladly take all of the vertical storage, thank you very much.

Related: Costco's 'Comfy' Packable Chair Has Everything You Need for Enjoying the Outdoors—Literally

Not going to lie, I'm a bit taken aback by how "fluted" everything is having a moment. Fluting is just that sort of ribbed edging that makes everyday items like an organizational set look a little fancier. And apparently, the people are here for it.

Right now, you'll find a fluted design on everything from lazy Susans to nightstands and just about everything in between. It's pretty and elegant, and it makes boring things more interesting.

You can head to Five Below right now and find all kinds of cute home items, like washable rugs that bring a dopamine decor moment. There's also the loveliest flower-shaped drinkware that's basically begging to be used during a sunset happy hour on your patio or porch. So go forth to Five Below and embrace its combo of whimsy and affordability. You won't be disappointed.

The Firecracker Cookie Pie will reportedly feature a cookie with vanilla filling and topped with star cookie and dough pieces, as part of the America 250 celebration.

Reportedly, the new offering will drop nationwide on June 2, although Burger King has not officially confirmed the release date.

The reported pie is unlike any dessert BK currently has on its menu, with the only pie option currently being the Hershey's Sundae Pie.

"Not for nothing! Burger King’s pies are forking fantastic!" Markie_devo declared in the caption.

Someone else lamented a missed opportunity, writing, "Damn it. I was hoping the firecracker pie would have popping candy."

A different follower pointed out, "That pie lookin 🔥."

Followers echoed these sentiments over on Facebook, with one follower exclaiming, "Ummmm, Firecracker Cookie pie! Sign me up."

"I’m excited for the pie," yet another echoed.

Meanwhile, others were still salty over not being able to try the limited-time SpongeBob-themed pie—the Star-berry Shortcake Pie, inspired by Patrick Star—for a collaboration that debuted at the end of last year, timed to The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants film.

One snarked, "If you can find them, never got to try the SpongeBob pie."

A second demanded, "Bring back Patrick’s pie."

Someone else bluntly stated, "F*** that. Bring that SpongeBob pie 🥧 back."

What do you think of the Firecracker Cookie Pie? Will you be trying it?

28 Years Ago Today, Hit '90s Sitcom Aired Its Final Episode and Drew 76 Million Viewers

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 3:00pm

It was 28 years ago today when an influential TV sitcom bid goodbye to viewers with a record-breaking finale.

On May 14, 1998, Seinfeld aired its last episode, officially signing off after nine seasons and 180 episodes.

The long-running sitcom, created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, not only shaped the modern sitcom but also found its identity by highlighting life’s most mundane moments and social norms, essentially embracing its famous concept as a "show about nothing," as it was originally marketed.

Set in New York City, Seinfeld’s character, also named after him, was a neurotic stand-up comedian who served as a rational and observant center of the group.

Joining him as the lead stars were Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards.

Viewers loved the chemistry between the cast and how the show focused on the four quirky and often scheming characters.

During the two-part finale episode, more than 76 million viewers tuned in to the show, making Seinfeld one of the most-watched shows in history, as cited by the Chicago Tribune.

However, beyond the massive viewership on that day, the last episode, titled The Finale, received mixed reviews from viewers and critics.

At that time, the reviews spotlighted the controversial ending, in which the main characters were ultimately sent to jail, an outcome that some viewers found unsatisfying.

As mentioned on one Reddit post, viewers pointed out that the overuse of flashbacks was among the criticisms of the finale, saying that the backstory scenes felt like a cheap "clip show."

Another factor raised was the punishment of the characters, noting that the twist felt too dark and at some point felt like it violated the show's lighthearted comedy tone.

Years after the show ended, Seinfeld admitted that the finale episode bothered him “a little bit” but chose not to obsess over it and instead moved on.

“I don’t believe in regret,” he told GQ. “I think it’s arrogant to think you could have done something different. You couldn’t. That’s why you did what you did.”

Regardless of the show’s disappointing ending for some, Seinfeld marked a defining moment in the entertainment industry, even securing 72 award wins out of 244 total nominations from various award-giving bodies, including the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.

Iconic ‘80s Rock Star Set to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award 39 Years After First No. 1 Hit

Thu, 05/14/2026 - 2:52pm

It’s been nearly five decades since Billy Idol entered the rock and roll scene—and 39 years since earning his first No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit, the live version of "Mony Mony"—and for the first time ever, he finally gets to share his songs with the American Music Awards.

For the award show’s 52nd annual special, Idol will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and is set to deliver a medley of some of his biggest hits to celebrate the accomplishment.

While Idol has presented at the AMAs before, this will be his first time performing. The rocker will join previously announced performers Karol G, Teyana Taylor, Keith Urban, and more.

Executive producers of the show, Barry Adelman and Alexi Mazareas, said in a press release that they’re thrilled to honor Idol.

“Billy Idol is a true rock legend whose influence has transcended generations and genres. From his groundbreaking music to his electrifying stage presence, Billy has left an indelible mark on popular culture and the music industry,” they said. “We are thrilled to celebrate his legacy with what promises to be an unforgettable performance.”

Before the Lifetime Achievement Award announcement, Idol announced that he will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026. He’ll be inducted alongside his guitarist, Steve Stevens, on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

“Being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside so many of my heroes and influences is a tremendous honor,” Idol said. “And to be inducted alongside my longtime compatriot Steve Stevens makes this all even more special. When I first started playing with Generation X 50 years ago, it was purely out of love for the music we were making and the scene that we were lucky enough to be a part of.”

Idol continued, saying that he never thought he’d be where he is today.

“I’m incredibly grateful to all the people who have been behind me over the years, because none of this would have been possible without them,” he added. “This honor is for my fans, and everyone who has been on this journey with me, as much as it is for me.”

The American Music Awards will air live on May 25 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be AMA’s largest venue in the show’s history, and will be hosted by Queen Latifah. Fans can vote for the AMAs at VoteAMAs.com.
