Denise Richards Breaks Silence After Patrick Muldoon’s Sudden Death at Age 57

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:22pm

The loss of Days of Our Livesstar Patrick Muldoon hit Hollywood stars and fans hard. However, no one is mourning harder than his loved ones, including his long-time friend and ex-girlfriend Denise Richards.

A day after news broke about Muldoon’s sudden death at age 57, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spoke out on the devastating loss.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Taking to Instagram, Richards shared a video filled with memories of her and Muldoon’s decades-long friendship. The duo met in acting class when she was 19 and he was 21, and they became fast friends.

In 1997, after working on the film Starship Troopers, their friendship turned romantic. After a few years of dating, they split but remained close friends until Muldoon’s shocking death on April 19.

Losing Muldoon has been especially hard for Richards, who did her best to put her feelings into words to pay tribute to him. Richards kicked off her tribute, reiterating how they met in acting class before she ever worked as an actor, and Muldoon was on Who’s The Boss, playing Alyssa Milano’s boyfriend.

“Here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don’t know it without you. The friendship, love, support, respect & loyalty we had was unconditional and rare. You lit up every room you walked into. You are larger than life & Everyone was drawn to you. So talented & most underrated actor. And most humble. Everything you did was infectious. Your laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion, and your zest for life,” she gushed.

Richards went on to reveal just how special Muldoon and their friendship were to her. They have been through thick and thin, including when she paused the friendship during her marriage toCharlie Sheen.

“We’ve been each other’s rock. Our memories together are endless. You’ve had my back and protected me more than anyone. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you here. You’re my voice of reason & pillar of strength. Especially during this last year of pain & heartache. And now I need you more than ever, for this pain and heartache losing you,” Richards expressed.

The Bold and the Beautiful star previously revealed that she and Muldoon would call each other "schweet babe". It was a nickname that came about when they were filming Starship Troopers and became their special name for each other throughout all these years.

“Schweetbabe we’ve had those conversations.. We thought we’d live forever or at least into our 90’s. Schweetbabe I will be looking for those signs. I need to know you’re still here with me. I love you so much & miss you dearly schweetbabe. 💔🙏🪽,” Richards ended her touching tribute.

Richards' daughter Lola also shared a sweet tribute to Muldoon, writing, "I thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever. When I think of my childhood I think of you Pat."

Alongside a photo of her mother and Muldoon in a car, she continued, "And it's gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives. You were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that's just because of how much you impacted us."

As Parade reported, Muldoon’s last public appearance was a month ago with Richards by his side. They were a constant in each other’s lives, with Muldoon even appearing on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. Both shows highlighted their friendship and pure love for each other.

Richards’ heartbreaking tribute is the latest in a string of tributes that have been pouring in for Muldoon. The actor is survived by his parents, Deanna Muldoon and William Patrick Muldoon Sr., his long-time girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, his sister, Shana Zappa, brother-in-law, Ahmet Zappa, along with his niece, Halo Zappa, and nephew, Arrow Zappa.

Chipotle Brings Back Honey Chicken For Limited-Time Run: 'Best Thing I Ever Tasted'

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 1:10pm

Almost one year after its previous appearance on Chipotle's menu, the fan-favorite Chipotle Honey Chicken is officially returning to restaurant nations across the country starting this spring.

According to a new press release from the brand shared with us over email, the popular protein option will once again find its way to nationwide menus on April 28. The item (which actually turned out to be Chipotle's best-performing protein option upon its debut in 2025) was last seen in August of last year.

A unique, flavorful spin on Chipotle's beloved chicken, the Chipotle Honey Chicken features tangy and zesty chunks of grilled chicken marinated with chipotle peppers and finished with a hint of pure honey.

Through this unique combination, diners are entreated to a flavorful sensation that's equal parts sweet, savory and endlessly delicious, leaving little reason to wonder about its prevalent popularity today.

“Chipotle Honey Chicken set a new standard for our limited-time offerings, and guests started asking for it back almost immediately,” said Stephanie Perdue, Interim Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s proof that when we get flavor and timing right, we create something fans can’t stop thinking about.”

If that weren't already exciting enough, Chipotle also confirmed that, for the first time, the Chipotle Honey Chicken will be available in the brand's recently added High Protein Cup, allowing diners to maximize their protein without getting bogged down in any one of the restaurant's regular add-ons.

To better commemorate the fan-favorite menu item's imminent return, Chipotle will be offering a $0 delivery free on all Chipotle Honey Chicken orders placed online from April 28 to May 11.

While there's no word yet on how long Chipotle's returning protein will be around for, it's worth remembering that Chipotle Honey Chicken will only be around for a limited time. And if past fan reviews are any indication, you'll definitely want to get this cherished menu item sooner rather than later.

As one diner shared on Reddit a few months ago, "Please bring back the Honey Chipotle Chicken, it was the best thing I ever tasted at Chipotle. So good that I don't really want anything else from there, it's just not the same anymore." High praise, indeed!

Adorned with an array of curved details, charming birds, and delicate-looking leaves throughout, this arched trellis can create a gorgeous backdrop for gardens and patios. Shoppers said the elegant design is well-placed, so that the plants fill in the spaces between the decor, giving it an enchanting effect that looks like something out of a storybook.

Made of welded wrought iron with bars nearly 1 inch thick with a powder-coated, weather-resistant finish, this trellis is durable enough to support flowering plants like honeysuckle or bougainvillea, as well as climbing vegetable plants like tomatoes and peppers. Reviewers mentioned that this trellis pushes easily into the ground with stakes on the bottom to keep it sturdy, so it shouldn't topple over.

Measuring just under 60 inches high and 15.5 inches wide, this trellis is ideal for adding to large planters and raised garden beds. Some shoppers said they purchased multiple trellises to place in their flower beds, prop up against the sides of their house, or place against a fence, allowing ivy and other climbers to weave their way through for a decorative look.

Austin Recently Turned 69

Recently, Austin took to Instagram to share a photo of herself stepping outside on her 69th birthday in a floral bikini. With her bouncy blonde hair and phenomenal body, it’s hard to believe she’s 69. It’s safe to say her dedicated fitness regimen is working well!

This isn’t the first time Austin has posted a fun throwback. Back in October, she showed the world how little she’s changed in 30 years by sporting her trademark blue leotard in a side-by-side photo. Paired with blue socks and high-top sneakers, it’s safe to say that the exercise entrepreneur has barely changed in three decades. Staying happy and healthy sure does wonders for the body!

I Tried Starbucks' Limited-Edition 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' Secret Menu and It’s ‘Groundbreaking’

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:45pm

To say that I'm a The Devil Wears Prada superfan is the understatement of the century. I'm more of a The Devil Wears Prada evangelist, spreading the deliciously ruthless quotes and mantras of Miranda Priestly everywhere I go. The 2006 film starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt is a cultural touchpoint that helped define a generation. It's dripping with style, bitingly sarcastic, and one of the most memorable pieces of early-aughts cinema. Naturally, when word broke that Devil Wears Prada 2 was finally heading to theaters after 20 years, yours truly lost his literal mind.

Fortunately, after what feels like ages of waiting, there are fewer than 10 days left until the sequel's highly anticipated May 1 debut, and you can bet I'll be front and center. In the meantime, between watching the original film for the millionth time, I've been keeping myself occupied by staying up to date on all the buzzy activations and limited-time partnerships perfectly timed for the film's release. From a limited-edition Diet Coke flavor to Old Navy selling the infamous cerulean sweater, we've been getting plenty to hold us over until the film officially launches.

Starbucks Launches New The Devil Wears Prada 2 Secret Menu View this post on Instagram

Now, Starbucks has officially entered the chat with the new The Devil Wears Prada 2 secret menu, featuring drinks inspired by the film's titular character. Of course, as a stan, you know I had to try all four drinks myself to see if the choices lived up to Miranda Priestly's lofty expectations. Let's just say the drinks were groundbreaking. Here is my honest review of Starbucks' new The Devil Wears Prada 2 secret menu.

How to Order Starbucks' New The Devil Wears Prada 2 Secret Menu

Kenn C. Bivins

Before you make the mistake of pulling up the drive-thru and saying a string of words that leaves the baristas inside as clueless as Andy was on her first day, it's worth it to know how to order the new The Devil Wears Prada 2 secret menu first. A common misconception about Starbucks is that the baristas are trained on every secret menu drink that has ever existed and that you can ask for a grasshopper frappuccino without actually explaining what it is. However, Miranda Priestly would likely take the same approach, which couldn't be further from the truth.

For the most part, baristas are only trained on official beverages and menu updates, which means they probably have no clue how to make a Ghostbusters Frappuccino or a Sour Patch Kids Drink. Sure, you might get lucky and come across someone who's dialed into all the chatter online, but it's always best to be prepared to give instructions if you're looking for something super specific. So, before you say "Why is no one ready?" take a minute to breathe, then order, and list the ingredients for one of the drinks below. Read on to find out whether you're more of an Emily or if you're Runway editor-in-chief material like Miranda Priestly herself.

What I Thought of Starbucks' The Devil Wears Prada 2 Secret Menu1. Miranda's Signature Order

Courtesy of Kenn C. Bivins

Much like her signature exceptionally manicured bob, more formally known as a Robert, Miranda Priestly's signature order is a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point nonfat, no-foam, extra-shot, extra-hot latte. It's exactly the kind of drink you'd expect from someone who's the head of a major publication like Runway, and unlike fashion, it never goes out of style. There's nothing to hide behind, not even a lumpy blue—excuse me, cerulean—sweater that you fished out of the clearance bin at some tragic casual corner. Get this if you're feeling like a boss.

2. Andy's Cappuccino

Courtesy of Kenn C. Bivins

Despite how green she was in the first film, Andy's go-to order eschews matcha and instead is an oatmilk cappuccino with caramel and cinnamon. Sweet and airy with just the right amount of spice, and perfect no matter the season. It's chic without trying too hard, which makes it all the more endearing. Not to mention it totally gives off newly minted "It Girl" vibes, and who doesn't want that? This one was my personal favorite.

3. Nigel's Doppio

Courtesy of Kenn C. Bivins

Nigel is arguably the glue that keeps the entire house of cards that is Runway together, and as such, his coffee order of choice is just enough of a moment to help him kick-start his day. The quick-witted art director subsists on a doppio espresso con panna (aka a double espresso with whipped cream) and a hit of mocha sauce. It's the perfect little something to give you a boost, and it's short enough that you can drink it before the boss comes in and goes on her third (or fourth) daily tirade. Bold and refined in a way that says, without you, everything would go up in flames. I'd grab this drink to help me stay in flow state.

4. Emily's Fave Iced Chai

Courtesy of Kenn C. Bivins

If you're the kind of person who moves at a glacial pace at all times, then you'll love Emily's go-to Starbucks order, an almond milk iced chai with sugar-free caramel. Sharp and subtly spicy with the illusion of sweetness that says you're deeply dedicated to climbing the company ladder at all costs—even if it means being the office mean girl who's secretly got a soft side. It might not be for everyone, but those who get it get it. Although this was my least favorite drink, it wasn't bad by any means. It just wasn't my cup of tea (pun intended.)

Tips for Customizing Starbucks' Limited-Edition The Devil Wears Prada 2 Secret Menu

Although each of these drinks is an editorial dream as is, they can all be further modified to suit your tastes and preferences. Whether you want more mocha in Nigel's Doppio or you'd like to swap the almond milk in Emily's Fave Iced Chai for nonfat, you can easily tailor each beverage to your personal specifications. Here are a few additional tips to make sure you get exactly what you want the first time.

  • Size up or down: Because all of these beverages are standard Starbucks recipes, you can easily choose how much caffeine you want by sizing up or down. Nigel's Doppio, however, comes in a short cup automatically.
  • Know your chai: This is specific to Emily's Fave Iced Chai, but it's worth a reminder that Starbucks recently updated its chai recipe to decouple the sweetness from the concentrate. That means that it comes standard with Classic Syrup unless you specify otherwise.
  • Dress it up: Coco Chanel once said, "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." In this instance, we suggest doing the opposite. Like a perfectly executed sartorial masterpiece, coffee is meant to be adorned. Add whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or an extra dash of cinnamon—no need to gird your loins here.

"Madonna. Barry Manilow. She’s a class act this woman," added another, referencing how Madonna joined Carpenter on stage during her performance.

Actress Susan Sarandon also made a cameo during Carpenter's festival set.

Other Coachella performers included Justin Bieber and Karol G.

Manilow, for his part, is slated to tour this summer. His initial tour dates were delayed following a surgery due to his cancer diagnosis, but according to his latest Instagram post, his tour stops are gradually being rescheduled.

Ted Danson Looks Back on Tense Encounter With Bill Clinton While Dating Mary Steenburgen

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:32pm

During the start of his relationship with Mary Steenburgen, Cheers star Ted Danson remembers former president Bill Clinton stepping in. The actor looks back at how Clinton used the Secret Service to intimidate him.

Danson moderated a panel with Bill and Hillary Clinton at History Talks in Philadelphia over the weekend. The 78-year-old actor remembers how Steenburgen used her connections and close friendship with the Clintons to try to spook him. It was also a ploy to figure out Danson's true intentions with the actor.

"One of the first things she did was take me to meet her dear friends in the White House,” Danson said. “Bill — Mr. President — took me around the corner, and there were three Secret Service agents behind him, all of them looking at me. The president asked me what my intentions were."

A perfectly valid question by any close friend as someone they cherish begins dating someone new. The two actors met in 1993 while working on the film Pontiac Man, as Danson played a "pigheaded" science teacher and Steenburgen happened to have starred as his on-screen wife.

Related: ‘The Blind Side’ Star Quinton Aaron Breaks Silence on His Marriage After Suffering a Stroke

It may be that both Steenburgen and Clinton wanted to make sure Danson was a good guy, seeing as he had a few high-profile relationships before tying the knot with the actor. He first married Randall "Randy" Gosch in 1970 and later divorced in 1975. In 1977, Danson married producer Cassandra "Casey" Coates and had an affair with Whoopi Goldberg in 1992 that contributed to their divorce.

During the panel, Danson jokingly asked Clinton if it "was fair" to have been asked what his intentions were all those years ago, especially with Secret Service as backup.

“No, but it was effective,” Clinton replied. “And I didn’t think I had to be fair. As it turned out, you became the best thing that ever happened to her."

Danson and Steenburgen got married a few years later in October 1995, with the Cheers actor becoming a stepfather to her two children from her previous marriage to Malcolm McDowell. The actor once commented he proposed to Steenburgen after realizing he “couldn’t imagine not being with her at all times.”

Target’s $15 Painted Terracotta Bowl Looks Like a Vintage Flea Market Find

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:25pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

There's something undeniably charming about a piece that seems to have a past. The find you'd normally scoop up at a roadside antique store or discover tucked between mismatched china at a Sunday flea market. It has that collected-over-time feel, the subtle imperfections, the artistry that makes guests wonder where you found it. Surprisingly, this one is an affordable Target find.

This painted terracotta bowl brings instant vintage Americana vibes to any space. Crafted from terracotta and finished with a delicate white floral motif against a deep blue backdrop, it feels both classic and quietly statement-making. The design has that handmade look that reads unique and high-end, like something passed down or carefully sourced on a weekend treasure hunt.

Threshold Painted Decorative Bowl Terracotta, $15 at Target

Target

Shop It!

This decorative bowl from Target is perfect for layering into your decor. It's substantial enough to stand on its own yet small enough to tuck into a bookshelf, style on a mantel or perch atop a stack of coffee table books. The round shape softens hard edges in a room, while the floral pattern adds just enough detail to catch the eye without overwhelming your space.

Related: Aldi's New Garden Decor Is a Whimsical Springtime Addition for Any Home

One of the easiest ways to style a decorative bowl like this is to keep things simple. If your room leans natural and relaxed, try filling it with moss balls, dried lavender or a few pieces of driftwood. In a kitchen, a small cluster of lemons or green apples brings in color and a fresh feel. For a cozy touch in a living room, place a few petite pillar candles inside or weave in subtle LED fairy lights for a soft evening glow. Limiting yourself to one or two textures keeps the overall look refined.

It also works beautifully as a catch-all. Set it on a console table to hold keys and sunglasses or place it on a nightstand for jewelry. Everyday essentials instantly look more intentional when gathered inside something that feels thoughtfully chosen.

And here's the best part: this charming piece is just $15 at Target. Affordable yet elevated, it delivers the look of a one-of-a-kind flea market score without the hunt. Whether styled as a centerpiece or left empty to shine on its own, it adds that collected, storied touch every room can use.

Patriots Coach Mike Vrabel Breaks Silence on Dianna Russini Photo Scandal

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:20pm

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is breaking his silence on the photo scandal involving former Athletic reporter Dianna Russini.

Vrabel, 50, who played for the NFL for 14 seasons and rose to stardom as a linebacker for the Pats, spoke to the press about the uproar for the first time in a video obtained by WBZ's Dan Roche.

“I understand I could have addressed you sooner, but it was important to me I have a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday very candidly,” Vrabel shared during a pre-NFL draft press conference at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday, noting that he had “some difficult conversations” with people he “care[s] about.”

Including discussions with his "family," as well as the Patriots organization, Vrabel said the talks were "positive and productive."

“We believe in order to be successful, you have to make good decisions,” he said. “That starts with me. You never want your actions to negatively affect the team … or be the cause of a distraction.”

Sharing that he's "excited" to coach the team with "humility and focus," Vrabel leaned in hard when emphasizing how much he cares about coaching the Patriots. He also noted that he's kept some questions and comments from the team private.

“What I can promise you is my family, this organization, this team, the staff, the coaches, and the fans, most importantly, will get the best version of me going forward,” he stated.

Vrabel and Russini Said the Photos Were Misleading

After photos published in the New York Post showed Russini and Vrabel hanging out by a pool, in a hot tub, and on a rooftop deck at the Ambiente luxury hotel in Sedona, Vrabel and Russini both said the photos were misleading. Athletic Executive Editor Steven Ginsberg also echoed their sentiments, telling NBC News that the photos are "misleading and lack essential context."

"These were public interactions in front of many people," Ginsberg said. "Dianna is a premier journalist covering the NFL and we're proud to have her at The Athletic.”

Russini Resigned From Her Job Last Week

Despite their statements, Russini still resigned from her role. She announced her resignation from her job at the publication last week, NBC News shared

“I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published,” Russini said in a letter sent to Athletic executive editor Steven Ginsberg, according to a screenshot she posted on X.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Former FBI Agent Says DNA Sent to FBI Could Be a ‘Very Good Sign'

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:16pm

There is a renewed interest in the Nancy Guthrie case after ABC News reported that the FBI has received DNA from Guthrie's Arizona home that was collected back in February. That DNA, reportedly hair, was initially sent to a lab in Florida for testing by the Pima County Sheriff's Department early on in the case. However, the lab has released the sample and the FBI will use advanced technology to try to figure out who it belongs to.

Former FBI agent Steve Mooresat down with Brian Entin to talk about the sample during the April 20 episode of Brian Entin Investigates.

"It could be a good sign," Moore said of the FBI receiving the DNA. "I mean, it could be a very good sign. ... I would have just bundled up the entire bed sheet thing and tied it at the top so everything that was in the bed would go to the lab."

"You cannot walk across the room without leaving some type of evidence," Moore continued. "I suspect [Nancy] was helped out of bed, simply because of her age. And, if you do that and you lean over the bed... I mean, why do people wear hair nets in restaurants? Because we know hair falls in food. Hair would have fallen in that bed."

Moore thinks there's likely a great deal of evidence in Guthrie's sheets and blankets, and he said he's "encouraged" by the news that there's a hair in play.

Moore isn't the only former FBI agent who seems optimistic about the DNA transfer. Parade previously reached out to Greg Rogers who said that the FBI's lab is "the best in the country." Rogers went on to say that the DNA results could come back in "a matter of days."

Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Anyone with information about her whereabouts or who might be responsible for her disappearance has been asked to call the FBI (1-800-CALL-FBI).

What Was Found in Stephen King's Private Archive Changes How You'll Read His Books Forever

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:10pm

Stephen King spent decades scaring millions of readers. Now, for the first time, someone got to see exactly how he did it.

Caroline Bicks, a University of Maine professor serving as the inaugural Stephen E. King Chair in Literature, was granted something no one outside the King family had ever received: a full year inside Stephen King's personal archive. The climate-controlled space, built into the back of King and wife Tabitha's Victorian mansion in Bangor, holds manuscripts, typescripts and galley proofs of nearly everything King has ever written.

Getting there took years. In 2017, Bicks was named the inaugural King Chair, a position endowed by the Harold Alfond Foundation, but university officials told her never to initiate contact with King himself. She spent four years imagining conversations that never happened. Then in 2021, King called her out of the blue. She invited him to speak to students, he came for two days, and when she proposed spending her sabbatical inside his manuscripts, he and Tabitha agreed.

Related: 1986 Horror Novel Ranked No. 1 'Scariest Stephen King Book' by Goodreads

The result is Monsters in the Archives: My Year of Fear with Stephen King, published by Hogarth on April 21. The book focuses on five of King's most iconic early works, The Shining, Carrie, Pet Sematary, 'Salem's Lot and Night Shift, and reveals how King built his horror sentence by sentence, draft by draft.

What Bicks found upended the way most readers think about how horror actually works. For example, King didn't just write plot twists in Pet Sematary. He crafted the sound of each sentence until it does something physical to the reader. Comparing early drafts to the published text, Bicks tracked a single word change in the novel's terrifying final pages, one small revision that transformed a scene from merely frightening to genuinely haunting.

The Salem's Lot discoveries were equally surprising. Tucked between the pages of an early draft, Bicks found a hand-drawn map of the town, originally called Momson, with handwriting King immediately recognized as belonging to his childhood best friend, Chris. The town King had based it on was one he'd moved to at age 11 and initially hated, before coming to love its people, its cemetery and the abandoned Victorian that inspired the novel's Marsten House. What Bicks expected to be a menacing vampire story revealed itself as something closer to a love letter to a place.

The Shining files held a different kind of revelation. King had originally divided the manuscript into acts and scenes marked by Roman numerals, structuring the novel as a Shakespearean tragedy. Bicks assumed she'd identified the source play, and was wrong. When she finally asked King directly, he told her it was a different Shakespeare tragedy altogether, one powered by the same theme of intergenerational trauma that runs through the novel. King wouldn't name it in the interview, saving that for readers.

The early draft of Carrie was perhaps the biggest shock. In it, the teen heroine physically sprouts horns and her skull visibly elongates, a very different character from the relatable, tragic Carrie that generations of readers know.

Bicks says the deeper she went into the manuscripts, the clearer it became that King's monsters are really about universal human fears. 'He knows how to tap into universal fears,' she explained. 'There's something kind of oddly hopeful about it, even though it's terrifying.'

King himself, in a Zoom call with Bicks at the end of her sabbatical year, offered his own take on what he's actually been writing about all along. He compared death to the Wizard of Oz, not the terrifying force everyone imagines, but ultimately a faker behind a curtain. 'When we get there,' he told her, 'we're all going to say, is that what it was? Is that all?'

Monsters in the Archives is available now wherever books are sold.

Iconic '90s Rocker Announces Major News for the First Time in 30 Years

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:08pm

Billy Corgan has some exciting news for wrestling fans.

The frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins and president of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) announced on Monday that their flagship program, NWA Powerrr, will debut on Sinclair's Comet TV on May 1 and 2. The first episode will premiere at 10 pm, followed up by a brand new second episode on Saturday at 4 p.m. Both shows will air again at 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

This will be the first time in 30 years that Comet will be making wrestling accessible to fans across the country via over-the-air broadcast television. Powered by Signet/Data One, NWA's new era with Comet brings free entertainment to wrestling fans.

"Wrestling was meant to bring fans closer to the action," said Corgan, according to Blabbermouth. "The NWA has always been about storytelling, personality and passion. This partnership with Sinclair's Comet TV is the first step in NWA's push into free television and allows us to reconnect with audiences the way I experienced wrestling growing up, when it was accessible to everyone."

Corgan officially entered the wrestling business in 2011 after establishing Resistance Pro Wrestling in Chicago. He also previously served as the senior producer and president for TNA Impact Wrestling from 2015 to 2016, before purchasing the NWA in 2017.

When it comes to balancing his career as a rock star and his interest in working in the wrestling industry, the 59-year-old entertainer is not concerned about the public's opinion of him at all.

"My version of rock star has always been I'm going to do what I want to do however I want to do it. Whether it's having my own tea house, the charitable work that I've done, to pursuing a life or a career in professional wrestling -- I think this is the American dream," he told ESPN back in 2016. "To me, I can't think of a better way to live anybody's life. You should do what you want to do. Life is such an incredible opportunity."

Fans can watch the premiere of NWA Powerrr on Comet TV on Friday, May 1 at 10 p.m. Users can live stream immediately on CometTV.com or by downloading the app on their Roku or Apple TV.

The U.S. Is Flat-Out Asking Travelers To Skip This Caribbean Island Due To Violent Crime

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:08pm

If you’re dreaming of a Caribbean getaway this year, one destination comes with a serious warning: Haiti. U.S. officials are once again urging Americans not to travel to the island due to escalating violence, kidnappings, and an increasingly unstable security situation.

While Haiti has long been known for its rich culture, history, and stunning coastline, current conditions have made it one of the most dangerous places for travelers.

A “Do Not Travel” Warning

The U.S. State Department has issued its highest-level advisory: Level 4: Do Not Travel for Haiti. This designation isn’t given lightly. It signals extreme risk to personal safety and strongly advises Americans to avoid visiting under any circumstances.

Recent alerts point to a surge in kidnappings for ransom, particularly in the area of Port-au-Prince. In some cases, criminals have reportedly posed as police officers to carry out abductions, making it even harder for visitors to distinguish between legitimate authorities and threats.

Why Violence Is Rising

The spike in crime is tied to a broader crisis unfolding across Haiti. Armed gangs now control large portions of the capital and other regions, contributing to widespread instability and fear.

These groups are heavily involved in organized crime, including kidnappings, armed robbery, and extortion. In many cases, victims are held for ransom, with demands sometimes reaching tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The scale of the problem is staggering. Thousands of people have been killed or kidnapped in recent years, and more than a million residents have been displaced due to violence and insecurity.

Adding to the challenge, Haiti has been under a state of emergency, and political instability has made it difficult for authorities to regain control. With limited law enforcement capacity and ongoing unrest, conditions remain highly unpredictable.

Related: The Government Is Flat-Out Asking U.S. Travelers Not To Visit This Country

What This Means for Travelers

For tourists, the risks go far beyond petty crime. Violent incidents, including carjackings, armed robberies, and kidnappings, are not uncommon, and foreigners can be specifically targeted.

Even getting around can be dangerous. Roads are often blocked by protests or controlled by gangs, and access to airports can be disrupted with little notice.

In addition, medical care is limited, and emergency services may not be available if something goes wrong. This lack of infrastructure significantly increases the danger for anyone visiting the country.

Because of these factors, many travel companies, including major cruise lines, have suspended stops in Haiti altogether, reflecting the industry's serious response to the situation.

Should You Cancel Your Trip?

If you plan to visit Haiti, the safest option is to postpone or cancel. A Level 4 advisory is a clear recommendation to avoid travel entirely.

For those still considering a Caribbean vacation, there are many safer alternatives across the region where travel advisories are lower, and infrastructure is more stable.

Travel Safety Tips for the Region

Even if you’re traveling elsewhere in the Caribbean, this situation is a reminder to always stay informed and cautious:

  • Check travel advisories before booking: Conditions can change quickly, so always review official guidance from government sources.
  • Register your trip: Programs like the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) can help authorities contact you in an emergency.
  • Stay aware of your surroundings: Avoid unfamiliar areas, especially at night, and stick to well-traveled areas.
  •  Have a backup plan: Travel disruptions can happen unexpectedly, so know your exit options and keep emergency contacts handy.

Haiti remains a country with incredible cultural depth and natural beauty, but current conditions make it unsafe for tourism. With rising violence, widespread kidnappings, and limited infrastructure, the risks are simply too high.

For now, it’s a destination best left for another time, when stability returns and travelers can safely experience everything this Caribbean nation has to offer.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Best Quotes About Parenthood

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 12:00pm

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been open about parenthood since the birth of their firstborn, Prince George.

After welcoming their first son in July 2013, the pair—who tied the knot in 2011—became parents twice over with the birth of Princess Charlotte in May 2015. They rounded out their family with the birth of their younger son, Prince Louis, in April 2018.

And just because they’re royals doesn’t mean William and Kate don’t have their fair share of trials and tribulations like everyday parents, which they have spoken about over the years. Keep reading for all of William and Kate’s best parenting quotes.

What Have Prince William and Kate Middleton Said About Being Parents?Becoming a Mother

At the launch of a series of Best Beginnings educational films, Kate opened up about the experience of becoming a mother.

“Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother,” she said. “It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual, to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost.”

Feeling Feelings Princess Charlotte and Prince George attend the wedding of Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel on Oct. 12, 2018 in Windsor, England.

In an essay penned for Huffington Post in 2016, Kate wrote about raising George and Charlotte to be open about their feelings.

“We hope to encourage George and Charlotte to speak about their feelings, and to give them the tools and sensitivity to be supportive peers to their friends as they get older,” she wrote at the time. “We know there is no shame in a young child struggling with their emotions or suffering from a mental illness.”

Rolling With the Changes

That same year, William got candid about how becoming a father had changed him during an interview on Talk Vietnam.

“It’s been quite a change for me personally. I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine, she’s an amazing mother and a fantastic wife. I’ve struggled at times,” William admitted. “The alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.”

He added: "Having a daughter is a very different dynamic. So I'm learning … [George is] a right little rascal sometimes. He keeps me on my toes, but he's a sweet boy.”

Core Values

During a visit to Mitchell Brook Primary School in 2017, Kate recalled the values her parents instilled in her as a child, and how she wanted to instill those same values in her children.

“My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect and honesty, and I realize how central values like these have been to me throughout my life,” she said at the time. “That is why William and I want to teach our little children, George and Charlotte, just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view it is just as important as excelling at math or sport.”

It’s a Tough Job

Kate explained how hard it is to be a parent during an appearance at the Anna Freud Centre’s Early Years Parenting Unit in 2017.

“Parenting is tough. And with the history and all the things and the experiences you’ve all witnessed, to do that on top of your own anxieties, and the lack of support you also received as mothers,” she said. “I find it extraordinary how you’ve managed actually. So really well done.”

Being Open

William reiterated during an interview with CALMzine in 2017 that he and his wife were “clear” that they wanted both George and Charlotte to “grow up feeling able to talk about their emotions and feelings.”

“Over the past year we have visited a number of schools together where we have been amazed listening to children talk about some quite difficult subjects in a clear and emotionally articulate way, something most adults would struggle with,” he added.

Royal Pizza Party

In 2018, Kate offered insight into the family’s daily life at home, including the activity George and Charlotte love to partake in.

"I've done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough,” she told Hello! Magazine. “They love it because they can get their hands messy.”

Uncle William

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child, son Archie, William sent a cheeky message to his brother about parenting.

“I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!” he said at the time.

Kids in the Kitchen

In a 2019 BBC special, Kate told former Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry that she loves cooking with her kids.

“I really enjoy it,” she said. “Actually, one of the last things we cooked together was your pizza dough. We made pizzas with your pizza dough recipe. … They loved it. Absolutely loved it.”

Practice Makes Perfect

During a 2020 appearance on the “Happy Mum, Happy Baby” podcast, Kate revealed that she and William had practiced swaddling and using a car seat with a baby doll before the birth of George.

“We were like, ‘What do we do [with the baby] in a swaddle? How's this supposed to work?’ We'd even tried to practice with … a little doll at home, but you know, it just never works out the way you planned it, so it was quite hard to do that on the world's stage,” she said. “But no, [William] did a very good job.”

Dinner Time

Dinner at William and Kate’s residence can go one of two ways, he said in 2020.

“If the parents put on something that the children love, dinnertime goes very well,” he quipped. “But if you put something on the table they don’t want to do, that’s another ball game.”

After admitting that he had never heard of Elf on the Shelf during an interview on Radio Marsden in 2021, William recalled how the holidays have changed since becoming a parent.

“Christmas is a new dynamic when you have children,” he said. “Suddenly it's a whole different ballgame of noise and excitement.”

Family First

Months after Kate was diagnosed with cancer, William told reporters that their three children were doing as well as they could be in 2024.

“All doing well, thank you,” he said. “Yes, we’re doing well.”

Band of Siblings

William confirmed during an outing in 2025 that George plays guitar, Charlotte plays piano, and Louis plays the drums.

"I make sure my children learn music because I love music, and it's crucial, really important,” William said.

1989 Hit Film Ranked Among 'Best Kevin Costner Performances'

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 11:58am

Kevin Costner has been making headlines in recent years after exiting Yellowstone, trying to bring his Horizonmovies to audiences and more.

But the Academy Award winner, 71, was a good old-fashioned movie star in his heyday, let's not forget. Back in the 1980s and '90s, it was all about starring in high-profile films for Costner.

Sure, he scooped up Oscar gold in 1991 thanks to his stunning work behind the lens for Dances With Wolves. But two years earlier, another one of his finest films had hit the masses — and offered perhaps a finer performance.

Field of Dreams would also receive multiple Academy Award nominations, and in 2022, Variety ranked it at No. 2 on its list of 10 Best Kevin Costner Performances, writing: "His Ray, an Iowa farmer who’s inspired to pursue his dream, hits on every cylinder, including a finale that stands as one of the best to close out the 1980s."

Cut to 2026, and the baseball-centered fantasy film is now celebrating a 37-year milestone, having been released on April 21, 1989. It holds an impressive 88% average critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and certain generations can surely recall watching the classic on TV through syndication again and again over the years.

Here's the film's official synopsis: When Iowa farmer Ray hears a mysterious voice one night in his cornfield saying "If you build it, he will come," he feels the need to act. Despite taunts of lunacy, Ray builds a baseball diamond on his land, supported by his wife, Annie. Afterward, the ghosts of great players start emerging from the crops to play ball, led by "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. But, as Ray learns, this field of dreams is about much more than bringing former baseball greats out to play.

Costner would go on to star in another acclaimed baseball film, For Love of the Game, 10 years later opposite the late, great Kelly Preston.

Is Japan Still Safe To Visit Amid Recent Tsunami Warnings?

Tue, 04/21/2026 - 11:57am

Travel sometimes comes with unexpected headlines. Earthquakes, storms, and sudden alerts that appear on phones while you are planning a trip. Reuters reported Japan experienced such a moment recently when a powerful offshore earthquake triggered temporary tsunami warnings along parts of the country’s northeastern coast. The good news for travelers is that the situation stabilized quickly. Authorities reported only modest waves and limited disruption, and many warnings were later downgraded or lifted, per The Independent.

Still, for travelers with upcoming plans, the question lingers. Where should you go in Japan right now? The answer is surprisingly reassuring. Japan remains one of the world’s safest and most organized travel destinations, and much of the country continues operating exactly as it did before.

Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.

Is It Safe to Travel to Japan Right Now

The earthquake that triggered the alerts struck off the northeastern coast near the Sanriku region with a magnitude of around 7.7. Initial tsunami warnings predicted waves up to three meters in parts of northern Japan, prompting precautionary evacuations along the Pacific coast.

In reality, the waves that reached shore were far smaller. Officials recorded heights below one meter in several locations, including around Iwate Prefecture. No major damage or casualties were reported, and the warnings were later downgraded to advisories and eventually lifted.

Related: You May Need To Increase Your Travel Budget if You’re Heading to Japan Thanks to New ‘Tourist Taxes'

Travel advisories from international authorities have not broadly discouraged travel to Japan. Instead, guidance encourages visitors to monitor local updates and to avoid affected coastal zones if alerts remain active.

From a traveler’s perspective, that distinction matters. Japan is a long country stretching nearly 3,000 kilometers. Events in one coastal region rarely affect the rest of the nation’s travel infrastructure.

Best Places to Visit in Japan Away From the Tsunami Zone

For travelers who want to explore while staying comfortably distant from the affected northeastern coast, Japan offers countless options.

Kyoto and Nara: Calm, Culture, and Ancient Streets

Kyoto is one of those places that feels almost timeless. Narrow stone lanes wind past wooden townhouses. Temple bells echo softly in the evening air. Even when the world feels noisy with breaking news, Kyoto continues its quiet rhythm.

A short train ride away, Nara offers another peaceful experience. The city’s famous deer wander freely through the parkland surrounding ancient temples. Watching them bow politely for crackers is one of the most charming travel moments in Japan.

Tokyo: A City That Never Stops Moving

Tokyo, the capital, is also well outside the immediate warning areas. Even though buildings swayed slightly during the earthquake hundreds of miles away, the city continued operating normally. Tokyo offers endless exploration for travelers. Neon streets in Shinjuku. Quiet shrines tucked between skyscrapers. Sushi counters where chefs treat every piece like a small work of art.

Related: Japan Raises Price of Iconic Tourist Attraction for Non-Residents and It Is Worth Every Penny

Okinawa: Japan’s Tropical Side

Okinawa feels like a different country compared to northern Japan. Turquoise water, coral reefs, and relaxed island culture replace busy train stations and urban crowds. Located far to the south, Okinawa sits thousands of kilometers from the earthquake zone. The islands offer diving, snorkeling, and some of the best beaches in Japan.

Shikoku and the Seto Inland Sea

For something quieter, the Seto Inland Sea region between Honshu and Shikoku offers small islands connected by scenic bridges and ferries. Cyclists ride the famous Shimanami Kaido route across the water. Art lovers visit Naoshima Island, where contemporary museums sit among fishing villages.

What Travelers Should Know About Earthquakes in Japan

Japan sits along the Pacific Ring of Fire, one of the most seismically active regions in the world. Earthquakes are common, but the country is also among the most prepared nations on Earth for disaster response.

Buildings are engineered to sway safely during tremors. Trains automatically halt when strong seismic waves are detected. Emergency alerts reach phones within seconds.

Authorities recently noted a slightly elevated chance of another large earthquake during the week following the Sanriku quake. However, experts emphasize that such advisories are precautionary rather than predictions.

Get the latest travel inspiration and news delivered straight to your inbox.

Traveling in Japan With Confidence

From Kyoto’s temples to Tokyo’s electric streets to Okinawa’s beaches, Japan continues to welcome travelers with the same mix of beauty, culture, and careful preparation.

And if you ask me, that combination makes Japan not only a fascinating place to visit right now, it makes it one of the most resilient destinations in the world.
