1968 Rock Masterpiece, Reimagined by Joe Cocker, Was Written by a 21-Year-Old

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 9:25pm

Joe Cockerwas an absolute master when it came to putting his own unique stamp on songs by other musicians: "With a Little Help from My Friends," "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" and "Unchain My Heart," to name a few. Another one of Cocker's biggest hits, "Feelin' Alright," was originally recorded by Traffic...and written by Dave Mason when he was just 21 years old.

As Mason explained in a 2021 interview with Guitar Player, he actually wrote "Feelin' Alright" (originally "Feeling Alright," with a "g") after quitting Traffic in January 1968.

"I was 21 years old and didn’t know how to handle it,” he said. “I wasn’t ready for fame, so I backed out.”

"Feelin' Alright" came to Mason while he was on the Greek island of Hydra.

“I think I had the words first,” he recalled. “The funny thing is, people seem to think that it’s a fun sort of song, but it’s really about unrequited love. There’s a question mark in the title. It asks, ‘Are you feeling all right?’ ‘Actually, I’m not feeling very good at all.’”

"I had been playing sitar, so I wanted a certain sitar-like quality,” he continued. “It’s not one chord, like a James Brown song, but it’s close. The good thing was that I didn’t need to do demos. Two chords I could remember.”

Traffic had already started recording their second album, but they were short on songs.

“They only had five songs between them,” Mason said. “So I said, ‘I’ve got five songs myself.’ One of them was ‘Feelin’ Alright?’ Just like that, it was ‘Okay, you’re back in the band.’”

“The guys in the band never really said they liked my songs,” he added, “but Jimmy Miller always had good things to say. He thought ‘Feelin’ Alright?’ was terrific.”

Unfortunately, "Feelin' Alright" wasn't a huge success for Traffic, but Cocker turned the song into a hit. According to American Songwriter, he first heard the song on a trip to L.A. with his producer Denny Cordell. The pair immediately recorded the track, along with session musicians from Ray Charles’ band and The Raelettes on vocals.

Cocker's dynamic, "voodoo-shaded" update appeared on his 1969 hit album, With a Little Help from My Friends, peaking at #69 on the Billboard Hot 100 (Traffic's original failed to break the top 100).

Even Mason considered Cocker's "Feelin' Alright" to be the definitive version.

“Joe had that incredible piano intro, and the song just flew," he said. "Joe’s version is what inspired 60 other cover versions of the song. In fact, when I perform the song now, I don’t do it like Traffic; I play it like Joe Cocker.”

Stephani Sosa on Who Could Win 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro' (Exclusive)

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 8:55pm

There are only six dancers out of the initial 12 remaining on Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, so it will either be Adele Zaikman, AJ Pritchard, Allen Genkin, Erik Linder
Nina Mayster,
or Selena Hamilton joining the Season 35 cast of Dancing with the Stars as the grand prize for the competition.

Parade spoke to already eliminated Stephani Sosa, who if things had gone differently would still be in the competition — but more on that later — to find out who she thinks might walk away with the prize.

“All of them are amazing in their own way,” she said, not wanting to pick a favorite. “We didn't really get to see the other peoples’ rehearsals. We only got to see what was shown on TV, so I only know what happened between me and Tristen [Sanders] in rehearsals. I hope that moving forward, the show shows more of the rehearsal side of creating the routines and all that process, because that’s very important.”

💃🏻💃🏻SIGN UP for our Dancing with the Stars newsletter to get access to exclusive news, interviews, songs, recaps and more🕺🏼🕺🏼

And we agree with her. We’ve heard Adele praised by judges Shirley Ballas, Mark Ballas and guest judge Derek Hough, who called her a “Rolls Royce,” but we haven’t really seen if Adele has what it takes to choreograph a number for a celebrity partner.

Allen, on the other hand, has received tons of praise as a dancer who helps his partners to shine and we’ve watched him put together choreography that also was praised by The Next Pro judges, so might he be a frontrunner?

“I feel like I’m really rooting for Allen because I know how great of a teacher he is and I'm not sure about the others and how they are at teaching,” Stephani told Parade. “They're all phenomenal. Anyone that gets through these next couple of challenges definitely deserves to be a pro because the challenges are only going to get harder, so if they're able to go through those and make it all the way to the end then I feel like this is going to be perfect.”

As mentioned, Stephani is no longer a contender but through a series of unfortunate circumstances more than anything to do with her talent. First, there was the accident where Natalie Jolley was eliminated when she was hit in the face by Stephani during a group dance rehearsal.

“From what we were told, she had a concussion and they just said that she wasn't cleared to dance for the next round,” Stephani relates. “We weren't given much information because she did leave quite urgently after the incident. It was definitely sad. It was a sad week for all of us because we all love her. She's an amazing dancer and she's my friend, too. I grew up at the same studio as her, so it definitely broke my heart.”

Related:DWTS: The Next Pro Eliminates Two Dancers in a Brutal Chemistry Challenge — See Who Went Home

Since Stephani and Natalie trained at the same dance studio, Stephani knows it wasn’t as if Natalie wasn’t familiar with group dances, but for some reason, she got into Stephani’s space. The results of her departure meant that Nina and Tristen, who were in the bottom two that week, were given a reprieve and stayed on to dance the following week.

That was the week that the women were asked to pick their partners. Both Stephani and Nina wanted to dance with Allen, and Allen, because of his long-term friendship chose Nina, which meant that Stephani was left to partner with Tristen. What she didn’t know was that it was the week of a double elimination and she was partnered with the dancer most likely to go home.

“I didn't know it would be a double elimination,” Stephani says. “It wasn't until we were going to draw our styles that they told us, so that's when I found out, and I was like, ‘OK, well this is an opportunity for me and Tristen to show them that we can really be a top couple and just use our strengths as much as we can.' I didn't know in the moment when I ended up going with him.”

That said, Stephani says she and Tristen remain friends, and even though she had a crazy run of misfortune on the show, she’s “1000 percent” glad she did it.

“I'm very happy that I was able to even get the opportunity to be on the show,” she says. “I thought my journey with Dancing with the Stars ended when I did the troupe this past season, so for them to ask me to be a part of this, I was so excited and just so ready. Definitely no regrets doing it.”

Following is more of our interview with Stephani Sosa, including what her brother Ezra Sosa said about her appearance, and whether she would ever return to the DWTS troupe.

You said you thought your journey with Dancing ended, but can't you go back and be in the troupe if they want you?
I definitely can. Just at the time, I thought that my journey with them was over, and so when they asked me to do the show Next Pro, I was like, ‘Ok, this is them seeing me and believing that I can be a pro if they're giving me this opportunity,’ so I just wanted to go in there and nail it.

When you look at Next Pro, what were the highlights for you? What did you love about it?
My highlight was the week I danced the Rumba with Tristen to “Dreaming of You” by Selena. It was definitely a dream of mine to perform to “Dreaming of You.” That song and what it means to the Latin community was definitely one of the highs for me, especially because Tristen got a dance in a do-rag and that never really happens in the ballroom world.

Also a high for me was Week 1, because I love Samba and I was able to dance with my hair all wild and truly be myself. That was something that I've always wanted to do on Dancing with Stars and so I was so grateful that I was able to just go out there and just be authentically myself. Also, living in the house was fun. I've never lived with other people before..

What did you think about the challenges? Do you think that the challenges that they're picking are appropriate for showing people's abilities to be pros on the show.
One thousand percent. I wish that they would have included the teaching element a little bit sooner because that's one of the most important qualities that you need to be a Dancing with the Stars pro, but I do feel like all of the challenges leading up to whoever is going to win the show, all those qualities you need to be an amazing pro and to even qualify to be a pro. The show did a really good job of having those challenges for us and also handling the pressure because being a Dancing with Stars pro, you go through a lot of ups and downs and the pressure of the fact that millions of people are watching.

So, what does Ezra say about your performance now that he’s seen it?
He's really proud of me. He's really glad that I was able to show quality and show that I can really keep my emotions and really control who I am. He was really proud of me, so I'm very happy. He, obviously, wishes I could have continued but he's a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and he's just proud of the way I carried myself, so I’m very happy that I had his support.

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with episodes available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

Anthropologie's New Halloween Tumbler Is So Eerily Cute, It'll Put a Spell on You

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Finding a water bottle you actually want to carry everywhere can make staying hydrated feel much easier. The best options are not only functional but also fit into your routine, look cute sitting on your desk and can handle busy days that take you from the car to the office, gym, errands or a weekend outing.

A large tumbler is especially helpful when you do not want to refill your drink constantly. It can hold enough water for a long commute, a workout class, or a full afternoon at your desk. But if you have ever had a cup leak in your bag, tip over in your car, or leave melted ice behind after only a few hours, you know that design details matter just as much as capacity.

Anthropologie's BrüMate 40-Ounce Era Straw Tumbler Water Bottle is a stylish solution for everyday hydration. At $48, it is designed to be both functional and easy to carry, with a roomy 40-ounce capacity that is ideal for water, iced coffee, sparkling drinks, and other cold beverages.

One of the standout features is the leakproof Ü-Turn lid. Unlike many straw tumblers that are only spill-resistant when sitting upright, this lid closes securely so you can confidently place it in a tote bag or set it in your car without worrying about a mess. The tumbler also includes BrüMate's ColdKey metal straw, which keeps each sip feeling crisp and cool.

The stainless-steel design uses BevGuard technology, which helps keep ice intact for 24 hours or more. That means your water can stay cold through a long workday, an outdoor event, or a day spent running errands in the heat.

Despite the generous size, the tumbler is cup-holder friendly, so it works well for road trips and daily commutes. It measures 11.8 inches high by 5.5 inches long and 4 inches deep, and it is dishwasher-safe for a simple cleanup at the end of the day.

Anthropologie carries the Era Tumbler in several fun colors and prints, giving shoppers more personality than a standard neutral bottle. It is also a thoughtful gift for a friend heading back to school, starting a new job, training for a fitness goal, or simply trying to drink more water.

At $48, it is definitely an investment compared with a basic plastic bottle. But the leakproof lid, long-lasting insulation, metal straw, and portable design make it a practical option you can reach for every day. If you want a tumbler that combines function with an elevated look, this BrüMate find is worth considering.

1975 Bob Dylan Hit, Ranked Among 'Greatest Songs of All Time,' Took '10 Years to Live and Two Years to Write'

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 8:51pm

As Joni Mitchell once sang, "You can't hold the hand of a rock and roll man...very long." Like so many other rock icons, Bob Dylan's extracurricular activities did some major damage to his first marriage (to ex-model Sara Lownds Dylan, the inspiration for "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands"). The pair's tumultuous marriage ended after 12 years, four children, and at least one attempted reconciliation. Of course, as fans are well aware, the demise of the couple's union, while sad, also inspired one of the most celebrated and influential albums of all time, Blood on the Tracks.

Released in 1975, "Tangled Up in Blue" was the opening song on the record, and seemed to chronicle his relationship with Sara, who was married when they first met (as the lyrics describe). During a concert in 1978, Dylan said the song took him “10 years to live and two years to write" (roughly the span of their marriage).

In an interview with Rolling Stone that same year, Dylan credited an older painter, Norman Raeben, with helping him out of the artistic slump he was in prior to Blood on the Tracks.

"I was convinced I wasn’t going to do anything else, and I had the good fortune to meet a man in New York City who taught me how to see," Dylan explained. "He put my mind and my hand and my eye together in a way that allowed me to do consciously what I unconsciously felt. And I didn’t know how to pull it off. I wasn’t sure it could be done in songs because I’d never written a song like that. But when I started doing it, the first album I made was Blood on the Tracks."

As Nick Hasted of Uncut pointed out, Blood on the Tracks was like nothing Dylan had ever done before.

"'Tangled Up in Blue' was among a dozen songs owing little to the lysergic torrents of his twenties, or the homilies he’d settled for since," Hasted wrote. "These were words singed by the experience of heartbreak, the 33-year-old Dylan now ruefully mature."

Dylan himself acknowledged the evolution in his writing, noting, "what’s different about it is that there’s a code in the lyrics, and there’s also no sense of time."

Steve Morley / Getty Images

"I was trying to make it like a painting where you can see the different parts but then you also see the whole of it…the characters change from the first person to the third person, and you’re never quite sure if the third person is talking or the first person is talking," he continued. "But if you look at the whole thing it doesn’t really matter.”

Though Dylan at one point seemed to accept the perception that his lyrics were autobiographical, by 1985, he later bristled at the idea that "Tangled Up in Blue" was based on his own life.

"Well, I read this was supposed to be about my wife," he said. "I wish somebody would ask me first before they would go ahead and print stuff like that. Stupid and misleading jerks...anyway, it’s not the experience that counts, it’s the attitude towards the experience. I don’t write confessional songs. Emotion’s got nothing to do with it."

Either way, he admitted that his marriage was a "failure."

“Husband and wife was a failure, but father and mother wasn’t a failure," he said, adding, "I wasn’t a very good husband…I don’t know what a good husband is. I figured it would last forever.”

Dylan's marriage didn't last forever, but his music lives on. "Tangled Up in Blue" was ranked at #67 on Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time." And at the time of this writing, the song has 118,644,486 streams on Spotify alone.

Additional presales will take place during the week before tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m.

Tickets are expected to start at $65, plus fees. They will be available through Ticketmaster, the Venetian Las Vegas website, Venetian Resort box offices and by phone.

The pre-show experience will feature a Christmas gallery displaying costumes and memorabilia, along with a “Gingerbread House” photo opportunity.

The upcoming Las Vegas shows will bring Stirling’s holiday music and stage production back to the Venetian Theatre.

The show also connects to Stirling’s history with holiday music. Her first Christmas album, Warmer in the Winter, reached No. 1 on both the U.S. Top Classical Albums and Top Holiday Albums charts.

Her recording of “Carol of the Bells” also went gold and became the first instrumental song to reach the top five on radio.

Stirling later released her second holiday album, Snow Waltz, which topped the Classical chart and reached No. 2 on the Holiday chart.

The return to Las Vegas comes as Stirling continues an active 2026 touring schedule. Earlier this year, she announced the Duality Untamed Tour, a 32-date U.S. tour featuring PVRIS as a special guest.

That tour supports her most recent studio album, Duality, and gives Stirling another chance to combine her music with choreography, costumes, props and fantasy-inspired storytelling.

During the Duality Untamed Tour, Stirling explained that the production uses the theme of “the hero’s journey.” According to The Pitch, she said the updated show gives the original production a second life while allowing her team to explore different themes.

The performer has also spoken about how fan reactions have influenced her live shows. She noted that “Firefly Alley” became a fan favorite and that the response encouraged her team to make its performance moment even more special.

Stirling has a long history of bringing Christmas productions to audiences. Her holiday tours have included the Warmer in the Winter Tour,Snow Waltz Tour, Snow Waltz Tour II and later holiday shows.

‘Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro’ Gets a New Frontrunner — See Who Went Home

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 8:00pm

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro continued its competition tonight with the six remaining dancers facing a “wow” moment challenge that required them to create an unforgettable moment that incorporated one of guest judge Daniella Karagach’s signature moves into a viral-worthy routine.

Then, they visit the Australia Zoo for inspiration from the power and agility of animals in nature.

Hosted by wildlife conservationist and Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Len Goodman Mirrorball Champion Robert Irwin, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, began with 12 exceptional up-and-coming dancers who moved into one house to compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars. Three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mother, Shirley Ballas “The Queen of Latin” served as judges.

Now that they’re down to the final six and there’s very little separating them, Shirley said, “What I’m looking for is unshakable confidence. That’s the hallmark of a brilliant professional.”

And Mark advised them, “Learn to embrace it. Pressure creates diamonds.”

Then Daniella took center stage for a performance that included several wow moments.

She explained the challenge, “That opening number you just saw included three moves from Dancing with the Stars that went viral and were copied by millions of people around the world. Those moves included Val’s iconic knee walk, Witney’s leg lift, and my airwalk. For your challenge, you need to create a dance that includes one of these moves and at least one of your own unique wow moves, all while dancing a contemporary style.”

Here's our spoiler-filled recap of who went home on The Next Pro tonight, and who made it through to week 6.

Who was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro tonight?Erik Linder Erik Linder

Disney/Maarten De Boer

Who's left on Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro?Adele Zaikman

Allen Genkin
Nina Mayster
Selena Hamilton

Here’s how the night broke down:

This week, the guys got to select their partners. Allen chose Adele and both AJ and Erik chose Selena, leaving Nina out in the cold. So then Selena had to decide who she wanted to dance with and she picked Erik, meaning that AJ moved over to Nina.

AJ Pritchard and Nina Mayster

Daniella said: “You both definitely understood the assignment. How did you choose your wow moment?”

AJ told her: “From mistakes and being messy and stupid in the studio and listening to the music.”

Nina said: “Feeling our bodies.”

AJ finished: “That’s where Koala cuddle hit.”

Daniella continued: "That Koala move, it is so fun. I have not seen that done rotating before and that’s a huge part of Dancing with the Stars. That was awesome.”

Mark said: “That was great. For me the wow moment was a simple moment when Nina, you fell backward completely trusting AJ. There was total trust. That tells me that whatever went on this week in rehearsal, there’s a new vibe and bond going on here.”

Shirely said: “Actually, I agree with you on some of those things. You didn’t just have one wow moment, you actually had a few there. Your knee walks are absolutely fantastic. I loved the Koala move. I might actually try that later with my son. AJ, I think you came out of your comfort zone today. You took off your shirt, your partner skills were great, you really did well together. Nina, let me congratulate you on your musicality. Some lovely timings and some lovely senses of freedom. You excelled yourself. Congratulations to both of you."

Allen Genkin and Adele Zaikman

Allen Genkin and Adele Zaikman

Mark said: “You two danced together so well, can you tell us what’s your wow move?”

Allen answered: “There’s a cave man walk and one is called the Allen copter.”

Mark continued: "Allen, you didn’t hit the brief last week, but you hit it today and you hit it hard. I loved the Allen copter. It was really scary; it was really fast and then for that split second where you were handsfree and she was like a Hula Hoop around your neck, and you caught her and it stopped on a dime, that’s a wow moment. Adele, if this is you first time doing contemporary ever, wow. Earlier I said sometimes when the pressure is really high, pressure creates diamonds. You are a diamond.”

Shirley said: “You are beyond a diamond for me. I think you are one of the best female dancers I’ve seen in 66 countries of Dancing with the Stars or Strictly Come Dancing and you know I am not a very praiseworthy person really. But you darling are the real deal. Allen, I appreciated what you did as a partner. I can see that you are wonderful to dance with because this girl has a tremendous sense of freedom when she dances.”

Daniella said: “I am so proud of how this came out. The fact that you started with your caveman walk was brilliant and you feel like you’ve been dancing together for ages. I love you two together.”

Selena Hamilton and Erik Linder

Shirley said: “I am conflicted. Tell me, what was your wow move."

Selena replied: “Sometimes the wow is in the silence. That was our wow moment. I feel like we kind of built a dance of wow.”

Shirley continued: “In my experience, a silent moment doesn’t just mean stand still. Erik, I would have liked for you to have let yourself go even more than you did. It was really nice but is it nice enough to come across to 25 million on TV? I am not quite sure. For you young lady, I had said to Mark, I think she might give Dani a run for her money and that didn’t quite happen for me unfortunately. That doesn’t mean it’s not great dancing. I appreciate the quality but as the contemporary dancer, I expected a little bit more from you.”

Mark said: “For me personally, I loved that you both did the knee walk, that was in the brief of the wow, but everything else I picked up on was quality, but the brief was create a wow moment and there wasn’t like this presage high lift that spun and was crazy. Erik, you’re kind of a dark horse here and I am intrigued, but I need a little bit more.”

Daniella said: “You guys looked like two pros who had been dancing contemporary and your chemistry is so special, but the challenge was to have a wow moment.”

Because Erik and Selena failed to deliver a wow moment as was assigned in the brief for the challenge, they were the two dancers considered for elimination with Erik getting the news that it was his last dance in the competition.

“I knew I was taking a risk,” Erik said. “I loved and enjoyed every moment of that routine. I am proud of it and I don’t regret a single moment. I am happy I got to take this opportunity and grow as a dancer and a person. I allowed myself to kind of speak to my dancing and I couldn’t have done it without Selena and everybody here. I understand the decision that are made and I respect it."

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with episodes available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.

'Below Deck Med’s Kat and Cooper Go From Boatmance to Secret ‘Heated Rivalry’

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 8:00pm

Just as Below Deck Mediterranean finally got a wholesome boatmance that looked like it might go the distance on land, “KatCoop” imploded on tonight’s episode.

Deckhand Cooper Dawson and stew Katrina “Kat” Johnston seemed to have the makings of an actual couple until Cooper suddenly started feeling like their relationship was too much in the spotlight. Cooper tells Chef Joy Lefaucheur that he wants to take things slow, but her response is that if he breaks Kat’s heart, she’ll “break” his “face.”

“I’m getting extremely tired of all the commentary from all the crew about me and Kat,” he said in a confessional. “They’re like vultures feeding down on our relationship. Kinda makes me sweat.”

Instead of telling Kat he was having second thoughts, Cooper flirted with other women at the bar during the crew’s night out.

At first, clearly confused, Kat confided in Chief Stew Aesha Scott, wondering why Cooper was ignoring her and dancing with other women. “I’m not here for that,” Kat told Aesha. But as the evening wore on, Kat became increasingly upset, eventually retreating to an alley for some privacy to FaceTime with a friend. She began to sob while, back at the bar, Cooper said he didn’t want anyone to be upset but continued giving other women his attention.

View this post on Instagram

“ I feel like s—t,” Kat said through tears in a confessional. “I didn’t ask for it either, you know?”

The evening ended awkwardly and spilled into the following day.

“I just feel surprised at how Cooper is evolving,” Aesha observed in a confessional. “I thought he was this lovely Southern gentleman, and I don’t know if Joe’s maybe rubbing off on him or if this was in him all along. But he’d better make it right because Kat is so wonderful. She deserves the world, not whatever he’s doing right now.”

Even when Kat and Cooper tried to talk, Cooper walked away. The day remained uncomfortable for Kat until, later that night, she decided they needed to confront the issue.

Cooper went into the conversation thinking he and Kat should break up.

“I don’t really like talking about my emotions ... she does, so I’m here for that if she needs it,” Cooper said in a confessional. “Since there’s some tension, then I think it’s best we just part ways.”

Of course, the outcome was quite different. The deckhand and stew agreed to continue dating, but to do it secretly. While Kat seemed optimistic, a producer pointed out to Cooper that he had been ready to break up with her. But Cooper said he was still attracted to her and wanted to give it a shot.

Relieved, they greeted each other the next day with ... snark.

Kat summed up her relationship status perfectly: “The secret relationship with Cooper, it’s very Heated Rivalry.”

Let the games begin.

'Below Deck Mediterranean' Crew Dined 164 Feet in the Air at This Dubrovnik Experience

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:59pm

Dinner with the Below Deck Mediterranean crew is rarely going to be an ordinary affair, but their latest night out took the phrase “high-end dining” to a whole new level.

The crew headed to Dinner in the Sky Dubrovnik, a dining experience that lifts guests 164 feet (50 meters) above the Croatian city while they enjoy a meal, drinks and sweeping views of the Adriatic.

Located near the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik hotel in the Babin Kuk area, Dinner in the Sky Dubrovnik offers guests the chance to strap into seats around a suspended dining table before being slowly lifted into the air. The rotating platform provides 360-degree views of Dubrovnik, the Elaphiti Islands and the Pelješac Peninsula, turning dinner into an experience that is equal parts sightseeing and adrenaline rush.

What Is Dinner in the Sky Dubrovnik?

Dinner in the Sky Dubrovnik takes the concept of dinner with a view quite literally. Guests are secured into seats on a platform suspended by a crane, which gradually rises 50 meters above the ground. A host provides a safety briefing before everyone is strapped in, and the platform is designed to rotate so diners can take in the surrounding scenery throughout the meal.

The experience lasts about an hour in the air, although the total outing is longer. The current Sunset Dinner, for example, lasts two hours, including 90 minutes in the air, and includes a three-course meal, unlimited Croatian wine and soft drinks. Guests can choose from meat, fish or vegetarian menus.

For those who would rather see Dubrovnik by daylight, the 360° Panorama Lunch offers a similar three-course experience, with approximately 70 minutes spent above the city. On clear days, the venue says diners may even be able to see as far as Italy from the platform.

There is also a Croatian-inspired option for diners who want more than a conventional three-course meal. The “Journey Through Croatia” experience features tastings representing four regions of the country, including Istria, Dalmatia, Lika and Slavonia, paired with local wine and stories about Croatian food and culture.

How Much Does Dinner in the Sky Cost?

The experience comes at a premium price, with current promotional rates ranging from €91 to €175.50 per person (approximately $105 to $202 in US dollars), depending on the package. Listed starting prices range from €130 to €195 (approximately $150 to $225 in US dollars) per person before discounts. Packages include a meal and welcome drink, with Croatian wine and soft drinks included with the featured dining experiences.

Is Dinner in the Sky Safe?

While eating dinner while suspended from a crane might sound like the sort of thing that would make even a yachtie nervous, safety is a major part of the experience. Dinner in the Sky Dubrovnik says its equipment is certified and tested, while guests are secured in their seats and have their safety belts checked before the platform ascends. The company also says it can lower the platform in an emergency and will cancel or reschedule experiences if weather conditions become too windy.

There are some restrictions: Guests must be at least 1.2 meters tall (approximately 3'11") and weigh no more than 130 kilograms (approximately 286 pounds). Comfortable clothing is recommended, as are shoes that won't slip off while you're in the air.

Below Deck Mediterranean is on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

Back-to-school shopping is always about finding those items that make busy mornings feel a little easier. Between backpacks, notebooks, snacks, and lunch supplies, parents are looking for products that are useful, durable, and actually worth the money. The best finds are usually the ones that can be used every day and help take one more task off the morning checklist.

Packing lunches can be especially tricky when your child is tired of the same cold sandwich routine. Having a way to send warm comfort foods or chilled snacks can make lunchtime more exciting while helping you use leftovers instead of relying on prepackaged options. A good insulated container can go a long way for soup, pasta, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, or even a simple mac and cheese lunch.

Sam's Club's Bentgo Kids Stainless Steel Food Jar 2-Pack is a helpful find for families looking to upgrade their lunch-packing routine. The jars are designed for children ages 3 and up and use double-wall vacuum insulation to help keep food warm or cool for hours. Each jar holds approximately 11 ounces, offering a kid-friendly portion for school lunches, picnics, and travel days.

The jars are made with durable 18/8 stainless steel and feature a leak-resistant design, so you can pack soup, pasta, yogurt, or fruit without worrying about spills inside a backpack. The wide-mouth opening also makes it easier for kids to eat directly from the container, while the easy-open lid is designed for smaller hands.

Another thoughtful feature is the removable silicone bumper on the bottom. It provides extra grip and helps protect the jar from the inevitable drops that come with school days and busy little hands. Plus, the materials are BPA-free, and the jars are top-rack dishwasher-safe for easier cleanup after the day is done. Hand-washing is recommended to help preserve the leak-proof seal over time.

A two-pack is especially convenient because it gives families a backup for days when one jar is still in the dishwasher. You can also use one for a warm entrée and the other for a cold snack, or split the set between siblings. Sam's Club shoppers say the jars are a great size for younger kids and help food stay at a good temperature.

For busy parents who want more variety in their child's lunchbox, this Bentgo two-pack is worth considering. It is practical, portable, and built to make school lunches feel less repetitive—one warm meal or cool snack at a time.

Adam Sandler’s Wife and Daughters Stunned in Gowns, While He Rocked His Signature Track Pants

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:32pm

Adam Sandler's wife and daughters may have worn gowns on the red carpet, but the beloved comedian and actor went with a casual polo shirt and track pants.

Sandler, 59, a legendary star who has done everything from stand-up comedy and Saturday Night Live to starring roles in films by Paul Thomas Anderson and Noah Baumbach, counts being a dad as his favorite role. So when he's surrounded by his wife and daughters, the star makes it clear that he wants to be in his comfort zone. The whole family hit the red carpet premiere of Netflix's Don't Say Good Luck, which stars Sunny Sandler, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Joined by his stunning wife, Jackie Sandler, and his other daughter, Sadie Sandler, Adam's fashion choices provided a sharp contrast to his family's. Wearing a bright blue polo shirt covered in flamingos, electric blue track pants, and sneakers, the comedy king went casual in comparison to wife and daughters, who wore chic dresses. Now that's a comfort king!

How Does Adam Sandler Feel About Becoming an Unintentional Style Star?

While Sandler didn’t set out to become a fashion icon, he does find the whole thing a bit humorous. When Complex asked him how he feels about the unintentional honor of wardrobe legend, Sandler simply laughed.

“It’s funny as hell,” Sandler explained while promoting Happy Gilmore 2. “And whenever one of my kids or their friends talks to me about it… my wife’s like, ‘What the hell are we talking about right now? How did that happen?’

“But my wife always was nice to me about my clothes,” he added. “Even when we were young, others would say, ‘Would you put on something better than that? Your wife’s dressed so beautifully.’ My wife would say, ‘He’s comfortable like that. Let him do that. Leave him alone.’ “

If you’re looking to emulate the actor’s style, he told Esquire a few years back what it takes to score his level of fashion knowledge.

“I go with a lot of XXL even though I’ve been told I don’t need a XXL,” Sandler told the publication. “I wear the XXL shirts. I wear the XXL shorts. I pull my socks up goofy and I wear my sneakers.”

He also advises sticking with stuff that’s worn in.

“Usually I wear the same clothes a lot because after it gets out of the laundry it feels even better. New stuff kind of gets me itchy.”

’80s Rock Band Cro-Mags Reissues Beloved Album 40 Years Later

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:29pm

New York hardcore pioneers Cro-Mags are marking the 40th anniversary of their landmark 1986 album The Age of Quarrel with a newly recorded version of the record.

Titled The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel, the new release is set for Nov. 13 through BLKIIBLK. The project includes re-recorded versions of songs from the original album, new members, guest musicians and the addition of the 1985 demo-era favorite “Everybody’s Gonna Die.”

According to Lambgoat, the band has also released a new version of “World Peace,” along with an official music video. The song is the latest preview of the anniversary project.

View this post on Instagram

Harley Flanagan, the Cro-Mags founding bassist and vocalist, said the idea began while working on the documentary Harley Flanagan: Wired for Chaos. Some songs from The Age of Quarrel had to be recorded again because the original recordings could not be licensed.

“It all started with the making of the 'Wired for Chaos' movie. But ultimately there were several reasons…. Because none of the people who played on the original record ever got paid, and none of us ever received an accounting for sales of the album.”

Flanagan said he had tried for years to reunite the original lineup and regain the rights to The Age of Quarrel and Best Wishes through the Copyright Reversion Act. Those efforts did not bring the former members together.

“I could never get the original line-up to re-record it. For years, I tried to get everybody to the table, to get on stage together, and, up until recently, I was trying to get the rights to Age of Quarrel and Best Wishes back using the Copyright Reversion Act. But I could not get anyone to come together to get their own music back. Now that window is closed.”

After recording songs for the Wired for Chaos documentary soundtrack, Flanagan decided to complete a new recording of the full album.

The new project brings together current Cro-Mags members, friends and musicians from other bands. Among the guests are original The Age of Quarrel guitarist Doug Holland, former Cro-Mags and Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Rocky George, and members of Turnstile and Rise Against.

Drummer Greyson Nekrutman handled drums across the tracks, while Arthur Rizk, known for his work with Power Trip and Blood Incantation, produced and mixed the release.

The tracklist includes updated versions of songs such as “We Gotta Know,” “World Peace,” “Show You No Mercy,” “Malfunction,” “Street Justice,” “Survival of the Streets,” “Hard Times,” “By Myself,” “Face the Facts,” “Do Unto Others,” “Life of My Own” and “Signs of the Times.”

The release also features guest appearances on several songs. “We Gotta Know” features Dave Sharpe and Doug Holland, “Seekers of the Truth” features Arthur Rizk and Rocky George, “It’s the Limit” features Meg Mills, and “Don’t Tread on Me” features Zach Blair.

The project expands the original album with “Everybody’s Gonna Die,” a favorite from the band’s 1985 demo era.

Harley Flanagan Says Touring Days May Be Coming to an End

The announcement of the anniversary album comes as Flanagan is also speaking openly about his future on the road.

In a message to fans, Flanagan said he has spent decades touring and no longer wants the physical demands of constant travel. He said he still wants to make music but plans to step away from regular touring.

View this post on Instagram

“I’m not saying I’m gonna stop playing altogether. But I’m done grinding it out on tour. I’ll play when I feel like it, but this s--- is done, touring is a young man’s/woman’s sport.”

Flanagan has also said that his current tour has caused physical pain, including pinched nerves in his neck and lower back. Despite that, he has vowed to finish his remaining shows.

Cro-Mags are currently touring Europe before returning to the United States for select dates. The announced shows include Aug. 30 at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts; September 1 at Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania; and Sept. 2 at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Michigan.

The band is also scheduled to perform at Aftershock in Sacramento, California, on Oct. 4.

The anniversary project follows “Wired for Chaos,” Cro-Mags’ first new song in six years and the band's first release for BLKIIBLK. The track was released earlier in 2026 and was connected to the documentary about Flanagan.

Cro-Mags began in New York in 1981, with Flanagan starting the project when he was 14. The band’s early demos became the foundation for The Age of Quarrel, which arrived in 1986 and helped define the crossover between hardcore punk and metal.

‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Star’s Ex-Husband Teases Possible Run for LA Mayor

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:13pm

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’Kyle Richards’ ex, Mauricio Umansky, may have something in common with another reality TV show star’s husband. And it isn’t what you think.

Move over, Spencer Pratt, there’s a new reality star/mayoral hopeful in town—and he’s “going to make LA great again.” Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Heidi Montag’s other half, Spencer Pratt, now-famously ran for mayor of Los Angeles. While critics roasted the MTV villain, Pratt came close to winning a bid for a fall runoff race. But now it looks like he’s not the only Hollywood hubby who wants to jump from the small screen to political office.

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky. (Photo by Michael Kovac/Getty Images for Elton John AIDS Foundation )

Umansky is already a serious success in his field. Sure, most people know him from Bravo’s RHOBH or Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills. But even without reality shows, Umansky still has it all. He’s the founder and CEO of The Agency, a luxury real estate brokerage in Los Angeles.

Umansky recently appeared on ‘The Money News Network,’ talking to host Nicole Lapin about reality TV, real estate, and running for mayor.

When Lapin asked Umansky if a career in politics is in his future, he revealed, “I’m not running for mayor yet.” But that doesn’t mean he’s ruling it out. “I never say never. Maybe one day. I’ve thought about it a lot, but not yet.”

Umansky continued, explaining his views, “I’m a registered independent. And I believe in the middle. I think we’ve lost the middle. I think it’s kind of gone, which is sad. Where everything is just so extremist right now. And I think we need to start making a push more for finding balance and finding that middle again.”

Lapin asked, “I’m an LA Voter. Why should I vote for you?”

“Because I’m going to make LA great again….That’s so perfect,” replied Umansky. “Well look, we need to do a lot of things. We need to do a lot of great things for LA. So look, on the financial side, I’m definitely more on the Republican side. I do believe in, I still believe, I mean, Reagan was an LA guy and an LA native, and I do believe in Reaganomics”

He went on, sharing his ideas, “It’s not only about the trickle down, but it’s about we need to bring businesses back. We need to bring employment back. We need to bring innovation back. We need to keep Hollywood. We’ve lost so much of Hollywood. Like, we need to give Hollywood Incentives. Like, I’m not in Hollywood business. This is not benefiting me. But I can tell you one thing that would put Los Angeles on the map was television and movies.

When Lapin asked Umansky, “Did you vote for Spencer?” he answered candidly with, “I did.”

So is Kyle’s ex the future mayor of LA? The real estate mogul had this to say: “It’s a major commitment and it’s also very difficult to run against the Democratic Party in Los Angeles.”

This Iconic Butter Brand Is Bringing Back Its Popular Perfect-for-Fall Spread

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:05pm

It may still be sweltering outside, but the second pumpkin-flavored everything starts popping up on store shelves, I am apparently ready to throw summer out the window. Give me all the cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin spice, because I have very little self-control when it comes to the unofficial flavor of fall. And is it just me, or does it seem like pumpkin season starts earlier every year? At this rate, we'll be debating the merits of pumpkin pie while we're still applying sunscreen.

I know, I know. We have plenty of summer left. There are still pool days to be had, tomatoes to eat and approximately 700 more iced coffees to consume before we officially move on to sweaters and crisp mornings. But I also happen to believe that if a grocery store wants to put pumpkin products on the shelf in August, it would be downright rude not to investigate.

Which brings me to a seasonal favorite that is making its return: Land O Lakes Pumpkin Pie Spice Spread. Because apparently, my toast has decided it's ready for fall even if the thermometer strongly disagrees.

Land O Lakes

You'll start to see that orange 6.5-ounce container of buttery pumpkin pie spice goodness start rolling into stores this month (Hy-Vee, a largely Midwest supermarket chain, already has it in stock for $2.99), and it will stick around through September—unless it sells out before then.

Literally hundreds of Land O Lakes Pumpkin Pie Spice Butter Spread fans have flooded the brand's website with reviews of the limited batch product—sometimes just to lament they haven't been able to find it in their grocery store.

"I usually buy enough to freeze so I can have all year long," says one fan in their review. "This butter is wonderful on ginger snaps. Try it!"

Another person loves the sentimental aspect of the product's return each year.

"This is childhood nostalgia in a container for me, I've literally been hunting for this for most of my life and find it almost criminal the fact that its a limited batch," they wrote. "I say why not have pumpkin spice year-round!"

Needless to say, this stuff flies off the shelves fast, so if you see a container of Land O Lakes Pumpkin Pie Spice Butter Spread, grab it. This product doesn't stay in stock for long.

Remember Lilith From ‘Cheers’? Bebe Neuwirth, 67, Is Absolutely Stunning With Her Graying Hair

Mon, 08/10/2026 - 7:01pm

Bebe Neuwirth became a household name back in the '80s on Cheers, but the legendary actress is looking better than ever in 2026.

Neuwirth, 67, rose to superstardom in the role of Lilith in the iconic sitcomCheers, which ran from 1982 to 1993. It followed the hijinks of a group of Bostonians who hang out at the local watering hole, Cheers, where the bartender, a former Boston Red Sox star named Sam Malone (played by the beloved actor Ted Danson), tends bar. The character of Lilith was the cerebral wife of Dr. Frasier Crane, played by Kelsey Grammer, who would continue in the role on his series Frasier. Woody Harrelson, Shelley Long, George Wendt, and John Ratzenberger rounded out the legendary cast.

Flash forward to today, and Neuwirth's glamorous appearance on the red carpet is a sharp contrast to Lilith's buttoned-up style. Neuwirth attended the red carpet premiere of Netflix's Don't Say Good Luck in New York at The Plaza Hotel, and the star was absolutely stunning with a bold red lip and a smile on her face.

While Lilith always had her hair tied back tightly in a bun, Neuwirth let her legendary curls fly on the red carpet. With gray roots, she's embracing the trend of stars who let their natural colors show.

Her Real Home Is in the Theater

While she may be instantly identified with her role as Lilith, Neuwirth considers her first home to be the theater.

“I’ve been onstage since I was 7,” she told the New York Times in 2024. “It’s my home.”

The Tony winner has appeared in iconic theatrical productions including Cabaret, Sweet Charity, Chicago, and A Chorus Line.

“I am a dancer first,” she shared. “I’m a physical performer, and that impulse, that expression doesn’t go away even if I’m standing still and listening to someone.”

Bebe Neuwirth As Lilith on ‘Cheers’

Cheers had so many memorable characters, but no one can deny that whenever Lilith entered the room, she stole the scene.

Her iconic personality and dynamic with Frasier Crane still makes us laugh to this day. This scene of Frasier and Lilith’s first date is such a classic.

“I have a feeling you only brought me to this place to surround yourself with people you know and I don’t.”
