When Did King Charles and Queen Camilla Get Married?

Charles and Camilla wed on April 9, 2005, during a civil ceremony at the Windsor Guildhall, followed by a blessing at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, per Town and Country. The wedding was originally planned for April 8 but was postponed for 24 hours to allow Charles to attend the funeral of Pope John Paul II.

When Did King Charles and Queen Camilla Start Dating?

The pair first met at a polo match in 1970 and were romantically involved for a year before Charles left for the Royal Navy in 1972. In 1973, Camilla married her first husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles, but remained friends with Charles. The current monarch is a godfather to Andrew and Camilla’s son, Tom. (The exes also share a daughter named Laura.) Charles married Princess Diana in July 1981, and Camilla was in attendance. 

In 1986, Charles and Camilla began having an affair, according to the British royal’s authorized biography. Charles and Diana announced their separation in 1992, with their divorce finalized in 1996. As for Camilla and Andrew, they announced their divorce in 1995.

Charles and Camilla continued their relationship and married nearly 35 years after they first met. 

Why Didn’t Queen Elizabeth Attend Charles and Camilla’s Wedding?

The town hall where Charles and Camilla got married is near Windsor Castle, but Charles’ parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, did not attend the civil ceremony.

During her 70-year reign, Elizabeth served as head of the Church of England and decided it was not appropriate to be at a wedding of two people who were divorced. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh did attend the subsequent blessing of Charles and Camilla at St. George's Chapel.

Camilla took the title Duchess of Cornwall upon her marriage to the then-Prince of Wales, instead of Princess of Wales, out of respect to Diana, who died in August 1997 after a high-speed car crash.

However, Harry detailed his feelings about Camilla in his 2023 memoir, Spare, calling her “dangerous” and accusing her and his father of planting stories about him, William, and their respective families.

“There are published reports that Willy and I snuck out of the church and hung JUST MARRIED signs on their car. I don’t think so. I might’ve hung a sign, BE HAPPY. If I’d thought of it at the time,” Harry wrote in his memoir, per The Royal Observer. He claimed he and William had a tough conversation with their father before his second marriage, telling him, “We support you, we said. We endorse Camilla, we said. Just please don’t marry her. Just be together, Pa.”

What Did Princess Diana Say About Camilla?

Princess Diana recalled confronting Camilla during a party in 1989 in audiotapes secretly made for Andrew Morton’s book Diana: Her True Story, per Reader’s Digest.

Diana said she went up to Camilla at her sister Annabel’s 40th birthday and said, “I know what's going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that. She said to me: ‘You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you’ve got two beautiful children, what more do you want?’ So I said, ‘I want my husband.’ And I said, ‘I’m sorry I’m in the way … and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what's going on. Don’t treat me like an idiot.’”

The Princess of Wales touched on Charles’ affair during a 1995 interview with BBC Panorama. When asked about the breakdown of her marriage, Diana said, “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.”

Evermore became a major hit upon release, launching The Immortals series and attracting a devoted fan base. Its success helped solidify Noël as a prominent voice in young adult paranormal fiction during a time when the genre was booming.

"The main challenge I've found in writing a series is in making sure to keep the character traits and the rules of the world consistent," Noël told Publisher's Weekly in 2012. "It's easy to lose track of small details along the way, so I keep an ongoing 'series bible' that I add to with each successive book."

How Did Prince Philip Die?

Philip died peacefully at age 99 at Windsor Castle. Although his death certificate states “old age” as his cause of death, recent reports claim the Duke secretly battled inoperable pancreatic cancer since 2013. In addition, his death came shortly after a month-long hospital stay following a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition and an infection.

Royal historian Hugo Vickers recounted intimate details of Philip’s last night in his book, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History.

"On the last night of his life, he gave his nurses the slip, shuffled along the corridor on his Zimmer frame, helped himself to a beer and drank it in the Oak Room," Vickers wrote about the Duke, per the Daily Mail. "The following morning, he got up, had a bath, said he did not feel well, and quietly slipped away. By this point, he had lived with pancreatic cancer for nearly eight years — far longer than the usual survival time from diagnosis."

Philip relocated to Wood Farm, a secluded five-bedroom farmhouse on the Sandringham estate, after he retired from his royal duties in August 2017, but he joined the Queen at Windsor Castle amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The morning Philip died, Elizabeth was not present at his bedside. Author Gyles Brandreth shared details about the monarch’s whereabouts in his book, Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.

“When he came back [from the bath], he said he felt a little faint and wanted help getting back into bed … The nurse called the Duke’s valet and the Queen’s page, Paul Whybrew, for help — and he died before the Queen could be called,” the author wrote, per Daily Mirror, noting Her Majesty was asleep in a separate room. “The Queen wasn’t yet up … And she wasn’t called until after a doctor had come and pronounced the Duke dead.”

According to Vickers’ biography, Elizabeth was “furious” Philip had “left without saying goodbye.” 

Who Was at Prince Philip’s Funeral?

Philip was famously known for not wanting a lot of fanfare at his funeral. Royal author Anna Pasternak said the Duke “didn’t want a lot of fuss” while speaking to Fox News in April 2021.

"The queen wants to honor him in the way that best reflects his desires, but also touches on the sense of duty that he led in his life," she said. "It’s my understanding he didn’t want the frills of a massive funeral even if we didn’t have a pandemic.”

Philip seemed to receive his final wish, as only 30 mourners were allowed to attend his funeral amid social distancing measures during the COVID pandemic. 

Elizabeth mourned her husband and sat alone in St. George’s Chapel for the funeral service. Other attendees included Philip and Elizabeth’s four children, King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Philip’s grandchildren, including Prince Williamand Prince Harry, and other relatives. Philip’s close friend Penelope Knatchbull, Countess Mountbatten of Burma, who was a close companion later in life, also attended.

In 1978, a low-budget horror film changed the genre forever.

Halloween, directed by John Carpenter, has been ranked among the best movies of all time by Rotten Tomatoes, cementing its place as one of the most influential horror films ever made.

"There was no trial and error involved in making the music for Halloween," Carpenter said in a 2021 interview. "I knew I was going to use this theme I had developed over the years. But it was based on my father who taught me 5/4 time."

The film's success not only launched a long-running franchise but also helped popularize the slasher genre, influencing countless movies that followed in the decades after its release.

More than 45 years later, Halloween remains a cultural touchstone, especially during the fall season. Since its release, Halloween has spawned more than a dozen sequels and reboots, making it one of the longest-running horror franchises in film history. The series has revisited and reimagined Michael Myers' story across multiple timelines, keeping the character relevant for new generations of audiences.

"Horror is the oldest of genre," Carpenter said. "It was there at the beginning of cinema. Each new generation reinvents horror for its own. We are all afraid. That’s why horror is such a universal genre."

With its inclusion on Rotten Tomatoes' list, the film’s impact is once again reaffirmed—proving that its chilling simplicity and iconic villain continue to define horror cinema.

Princess Diana made history and changed the conversation about people suffering from HIV and AIDs forever on April 9, 1987. 

Princess Diana opened the UK's first purpose-built HIV and AIDS unit, which exclusively cared for patients infected with the virus, at London Middlesex Hospital. It was there that Diana, who was 26 at the time, was photographed shaking hands with a man suffering from the illness. She was not wearing gloves, showing the public that the disease could not be contracted by touch.

The famous photo captured Diana clasping the hand of a patient seated in a hospital room facing away from the camera. The person in the photo was named Ivan Cohen, The Guardian reported. Philip Chklar, a reported friend of the now-famous patient, recalled to the outlet that Cohen was “the only person in the special wing … willing to be photographed with the princess and only on condition that he was photographed from behind” due to the intense stigma associated with the illness at the time.

Diana worked with HIV and AIDS patients in the following years in an effort to educate the public and raise awareness. She famously said at the time, “HIV does not make people dangerous to know. You can shake their hands and give them a hug. Heaven knows they need it. What’s more, you can share their homes, their workplaces, and their playgrounds and toys.”

World AIDS Day was declared in 1988, just one year after the Princess of Wales’ famous handshake. 

Prince Harry reflected on his mother’s work during the Attitude Magazine awards in 2017, when she was posthumously honored with their legacy award 20 years after her death.

“She knew that AIDS was one of the things that many wanted to ignore and seemed like a hopeless challenge. She knew that the misunderstanding of this relatively new disease was creating a dangerous situation when mixed with homophobia,” Harry said on stage, per The Guardian. “So when, that April, she took the hand of a 32-year-old man with HIV, in front of the cameras, she knew exactly what she was doing. She was using her position as Princess of Wales, the most famous woman in the world, to challenge everyone to educate themselves, to find their compassion and to reach out to those who need help instead of pushing them away.”

Harry noted how far the medical advances had come, in part thanks to his mother’s courageous work. However, Diana was not able to see the full impact, as she died on August 31, 1997, at the age of 36, following a high-speed car crash.

“In the year before my mother’s death, the first truly effective anti-retroviral treatments were developed for HIV and Aids,” the Duke of Sussex continued. “She did not live to see this treatment become widely available and save countless lives in the UK and around the world.”

In 1979, Styx released a song that would become both a chart-topping success and a turning point in their sound.

Their hit, "Babe," rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the band's only chart-topping single on the pop chart. The track's success helped expand Styx's audience beyond rock fans, introducing their music to a wider mainstream audience.

Written by keyboardist and singer Dennis DeYoung, "Babe" began as a personal song for his wife but quickly evolved into a full-fledged hit single. Its heartfelt lyrics and sweeping melody helped define it as a classic power ballad, blending rock instrumentation with emotional vulnerability.

The song appeared on the band's album, Cornerstone, and its softer, more romantic tone marked a shift from the progressive rock sound that had previously defined much of Styx's work. While the change drew mixed reactions from some fans, it ultimately proved to be a commercial breakthrough.

"The dilemma of all people who are successful in music or literature or motion pictures or anything that relies on the public's taste—the first thing you have to do is establish an identity and develop an audience," DeYoung said in a 2016 interview. "If you're lucky enough to do that and have success, the next step is more difficult. You must somehow reach your audience and take them in new directions that won't scare the pants off them. This is the dilemma all creative people face."

At its core, "Babe" captures the longing and devotion that define many of the era's most memorable ballads. Its universal theme of love and separation helped it resonate deeply with listeners, securing its place as one of the band's most enduring songs.

Despite his major contributions to the band's success, DeYoung was ultimately pushed out of Styx in 1999 following ongoing creative tensions with other members. The split marked the end of an era, with DeYoung later continuing his career as a solo artist while the band moved forward with a new lineup.

More than four decades later, "Babe" remains a staple of classic rock playlists—a career-defining hit that showcased Styx’s versatility and cemented their place in music history.

“Philadelphia Freedom” by the Elton John Band ruled the charts around April 8, 1975, and it still feels fresh more than half a century later. 

The upbeat pop-soul track climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for two weeks. It mixed horns, strings and a joyful "shine on me" chorus that made people want to dance and feel free.

The song came out as a single on Feb. 28, 1975. It spent 21 weeks on the Hot 100, topped the charts in Canada, hit No. 4 in Australia and reached No. 12 in the UK. Billboard ranked it the No. 3 song of 1975. It earned Gold status that same year and later went Platinum in the US.

Elton John wrote the music and asked his longtime partner Bernie Taupin to create lyrics as a tribute to friend Billie Jean King and her World TeamTennis team, the Philadelphia Freedoms. King was the first woman to coach a men's professional tennis team. The record label even printed "with Love to B.J.K. and the sound of Philadelphia" on the vinyl.

John recorded the track during summer 1974 breaks while making his album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Gene Page arranged the orchestra with flutes, horns and strings that gave it big energy.

He performed it on Soul Train in May 1975. The song crossed over to the R&B chart at No. 32. The B-side featured a live cover of the Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There" recorded with John Lennon at Madison Square Garden in November 1974, Lennon's final concert appearance.

Elton John's Massive 1970s Success

Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947, in Pinner, England, John showed piano talent from a young. He played by ear at age 3 and earned a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music at 11. In the 1960s, he played in the band Bluesology before choosing the stage name Elton John, mixing names from two bandmates.

He met Bernie Taupin in 1967 after answering a talent ad. Their method stayed simple: Taupin writes lyrics alone, John composes music, and they have created more than 30 albums together. 

His self-titled 1970 album brought worldwide fame with "Your Song." The 1970s became his peak, with big records like “Honky Château,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy,” and “Rock of the Westies.” He packed concerts with flashy costumes, sequins and nonstop energy, playing more than 4,600 shows in over 80 countries during his career.

John has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. He earned an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame (with Taupin), and received a knighthood as Sir Elton in 1998. He wrote music for The Lion King and other films and musicals, overcame addiction struggles and became a strong voice for LGBTQ+ rights.

He married David Furnish in 2014 after a civil partnership in 2005. They share two sons, Zachary and Elijah. John came out as gay early and has raised hundreds of millions through the Elton John AIDS Foundation for HIV/AIDS work and equal rights.

Elton retired from full touring after the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour ended in 2023. He has faced health challenges, including a serious eye infection that left him blind in his right eye with limited vision in the left.

Even so, John stays creative. He headlined Rock in Rio in Brazil in September 2026, his first show there in nearly a decade. He plans to enter the studio in April 2026 for new music and has teased that he is "in great voice." 

Just this week, John scored a new chart entry. He teamed with rapper Yeat on "Lose Control," which debuted at No. 23 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100. It marks his 10th appearance on that chart over the decades and shows his music still connects with younger artists.

America’s Culinary Cup, hosted by Padma Lakshmi, reached its halfway point of the competition on tonight’s episode. The final eight competitors had to create two desserts, one heavenly and one devilish, using a shocking forbidden ingredient chosen by their rivals.

Then in a twist, the chefs were asked to vote on who was most likely to win and who was most likely to lose, which shook up the competition and caused tempers to flare. Beverly Kim was voted the most likely to win, causing her to breakdown in tears.

She said, “My whole life, I’ve been fighting to get recognition and it’s been emotional to me.”

Then, Chris Morgan was revealed as the chef voted least likely to win.

“It’s disappointing,” he said, “but I’ve been on the bottom a couple of times."

The guest judge for the night was Nina Métayer, voted the best pastry chef two years in a row.

What was the challenge tonight on America’s Culinary Cup?

For the evil desserts, the chefs had to include one ingredient from the "forbidden list": Bleu cheese, sweet pickles, dandelion greens, mustard seeds, anchovies, horseradish, cured black olives or Sriracha sauce.

Since Chris was voted the most likely to lose, he was given a chance at revenge by assigning one of the ingredients to each of his fellow chefs.

The chefs were given six hours to produce both good and evil desserts with the chef with the lowest score being sent home.

As usual, Padma, Michael Cimarusti and Wylie Dufresne awarded points based on Taste, Creativity, Presentation and Mastery of the Commandment with each quality worth 5 points, so each judge’s total would be 20 points for a cumulative possibility of 60 points. They were joined by Nina, which meant an additional 20 points per dessert for a grand total possible of 160.

Diana’s score was so low because she ran out of time and didn’t manage to plate her evil dessert, so the best she could have hoped for was 80 points.

“Six hours sounds like a long time, but not for me apparently,” Diana said. “It’s been my mission for a long time to dedicate my professional career to Mexican food, so it’s been great to do it on such a large platform as this. It’s been great to talk about it with all these chefs.”

Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless faced a frightening moment after joining AC/DC on their tour.

Since the iconic rock band kicked off its Power Up World Tour in 2024, the singer-actress has been performing as the opening act.

However, a shocking incident unfolded during the Latin American leg.

In an Instagram post, Momsen revealed that she got seriously bitten by a “massive spider” in Mexico.

The vocalist also thanked the medical team for their quick response and was able to stabilize her condition before their performance.

“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time, a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system, so I had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl? WTF,” she captioned the post along with the video of her getting shots in her lower leg and arms.

Momsen also joked about when her “superpowers” would kick in and even showed off the spider bite, which appeared noticeably swollen.

The comment section was filled with well-wishes from fans who are hoping for her speedy recovery.

“Nooo omg! That looks so painful. Hope you feel better soon,” one wrote.

“You must have tasty blood or something. Hope you’re ok!” a follower playfully commented.

Others also praised the frontwoman for pulling off such an amazing performance despite the health scare.

“Love it your attitude, but so sorry that that had to happen to you but you are incredible. The show must go on and you never let the crowd down, which is one of the things that just makes you so incredible and the list is so long I couldn't even start to begin. Keep rocking,” a commenter added.

As mentioned, The Pretty Reckless has been part of the AC/DC tour since 2024 and is scheduled for back-to-back shows this year.

Currently, they are set for two more performances in Mexico to wrap up the Latin America leg.

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than two months after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and recently, supervisors demanded answers from Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos amid growing criticism of him during the investigation.

On Tuesday, April 7, the Pima County Board of Supervisors gave Nanos 10 business days "to provide either a written or verbal response" to questions about his employment history and disciplinary actions against personnel, Arizona Public Media reported.

The move came after The Arizona Republic reported in March a discrepancy in Nanos' work history. His resume on the Pima County Sheriff's Department website stated that he left the El Paso Police Department in 1984, when in reality, he resigned instead of being terminated in 1982. The sheriff's department told Us Weekly that the mistake was "administrative in nature," and "not intended to mislead or misrepresent."

Meanwhile, the demand for information about disciplinary actions came after Nanos' workplace harassment investigation results were released. The complaint came from Lt. Heather Lappin, whom Nanos defeated in a 2024 election, after Nanos put her on administrative leave during the final weeks leading up to the election.

The Pima County Board of Supervisors also asked Nanos to detail how his office operates and how it coordinates with federal immigration authorities since 2021. Additionally, he must explain why his department repeatedly exceeded its budget and how he plans to address the financial issues in the future.

In other Nanos news, the sheriff recently set the record straight about a claim by an unnamed law enforcement insider who recently spoke with NewsNation’s Brian Entin. The source alleged that the lead investigator in Nancy's case had a complete lack of homicide case experience.

“This sergeant has been the supervisor of homicide for over two years,” Nanos told KVOA on April 3. “And in that time he has solved some pretty significant, very high profile cases for this area. The Reddington homicide, the Goodwill homicide. And they solved that within days.”

Nanos also issued a stern warning, telling KVOA, “You cannot attack my department. Attack the Sheriff, but you will not get by with attacking my department."

In the meantime, no suspect has been named in Nancy's case after she went missing on Feb. 1.

Just like certain songs can either give your mood a boost or bring on a good cry, other tunes can do a pretty great job of freaking you out. What makes a song scary? That all depends. It could be jarringly discordant chords or lyrics that tell a terrifying tale...or both.

In the case of the Pink Floyd classic "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" it's both of those things...sort of (more on that later). Released as the B-side to the 1968 single "Point Me at the Sky," live recordings of the song also appeared on releases including the live half of the double album Ummagumma and the Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii concert film.

A particularly daring experiment in sound (even for Pink Floyd), "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" is mostly instrumental, save for the title being whispered and Roger Waters' anguished, wordless screams.

Last year, Rolling Stone included "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" on the publication's list of "25 Songs That Are Truly Terrifying," calling the live version on Ummagumma "less a moody freakout of a rock jam than a lysergically summoned haunted house, offering up door after door for you to open against your better judgment."

"At the start, Richard Wright's organ diddles and Nick Mason's cymbals flutter, with soft, distant moans foreshadowing doom," the article continues. "Then the title is whispered and before the danger it suggests has a chance to register, Roger Waters screams repeatedly with horrific derangement. David Gilmour's guitar whips up a frenzy in response, but soon the music returns to the hushed, eerie lull that proceeded the violent interlude. Something dreadful has happened, and we're left to imagine it."

As AllMusic pointed out, "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" not only served as a sort of "dry run" for future Pink Floyd instrumentals, but it had actually been in the works for some time before it was released.

The earliest version, from March 1968, was called "Keep Smiling, People," before being retitled "Murderistic Women" during a recording session that same year. These recordings only exist as bootlegs, however, so it's hard to say whether or not the tune grew more terrifying with time.

Last week's Survivor 50 "Blood Moon" twist had players desperately scrambling to simply survive the night. But bad blood certainly lingered in the days following, as Coach Wade declared war on anyone he felt was not playing with "honor and integrity." He set sights on a new "dragon" in Dee Valladares, as sides began to accrue. It culminated in quite a tense and dramatic couple of days, and the jury officially kicked off with the "Mayor of Ponderosa."

Who got voted off on Survivor 50 tonight? Dee Valladares on 'Survivor 50'

Dee Valladares was in rarified air coming into Survivor 50, one of only three winners hoping to score a repeat victory. On top of that, of the trio, she was possibly the scariest, seen as arguably the most dominant winner of the "new era." In spite of that perception, Dee was able to lock in early with some key allies, and actually had enough momntum to turn the vote against Charlie Davis at her first Tribal Council. The most important ramification of that vote, however, is not who she got out, but who she left in the dark.

While Jonathan Young was initially accepting of what Dee had pulled off, that quickly turned to resentment within a few days. And so attention on her was renewed, especially as the two argued in the middle of camp. The "Four Horseman" alliance, as well as their co-conspirators, had their focus dead set on getting Dee out (especially after the fact that she revealed Rizo Velovic's idol secret got back to him). But she excelled in fighting her way out of corners, and had a million-dollar check to prove it. Unfortunately, despite the increasingly aggrivating and controlling behavior from Coach, the Cuban was out on an island. Though she made a couple of gambits, including trying to start a live Tribal Council and play her Shot in the Dark, the sole Sole Survivor remaining was fated to kick off the jury.

Were any idols or advantages found or played on Survivor 50 tonight?

Yes! Stephenie LaGrossa was sent on a journey, where she was tasked with succeeding in an individual endurance challenge. She passed the trial, earning a "Steal-a-Vote" advantage. After going against her word that she's play the idol last Tribal Council, Aubry Bracco got a significant amount of heat on her. And so she stuck to her promise this time, essentially wasting the idol while declaring it a "scarlet letter." And Dee played her Shot in the Dark as a last gasp for safety, but unfortunately fell short when she did not pick the lucky scroll.

The Dragon Slayer officially returns

Going into his fourth season of Survivor, Coach swore up and down that he would not resort to the over-the-top tendencies that lost him the game the first few times. Two weeks into the game, he has, as he's done a few times so far, completely gone back on his promise.

Coach was irate at Dee trying to target him at the last vote, as he and Jonathan discussed how much of a "snake" she was. Irate, he went on a rant to anyone in proximity about how, if people play by running around and telling lies, they will flat-out not win the game. To say the quiet part out loud, he then admitted in confessional that his old persona had returned, uttering "I’m back, baby! This is what you guys wanted this whole season."

One of those old habits was serving as the figurehead of an alliance. And, when Coach felt war was brewing, he was more than eager to once again step up and be the general. Deadset on getting out Dee, he began going around, marshaling split votes. But his behavior was rubbing people the wrong way, to say the least. His paranoia about people "in the middle" finding out made his temper as short as the haikus he was writing to himself on the hammock. It got to the point where Emily Flippen even began to start stirring up possible votes against him. In the end, Coach only got one vote against him at Tribal Council. But, to use an analogy he would appreciate, just because he has won this battle does not mean he will win the war.

Alysa Liu's post-Olympics era is shaping up to be one for the books. 

Fresh off her gold medal win at the 2026 Milan Winter Games, the 20-year-old figure skater is reportedly set to make her music video debut—and the collab behind it is the crossover the internet is losing their collective mind over.

About an hour after a joint Instagram video sent the internet into a frenzy on Tuesday, April 7, a second post appeared on TikTok that appears to confirm Liu will be starring in a music video alongside KATSEYE member Megan Skiendel. The song in question is "Madwoman," a track set to appear on the deluxe version of Laufey's album A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, due April 10.

Details remain vague, but between the TikTok caption of “Madwoman cast reveal pt. 1” and Liu's excited "Madwoman let's gooo" story reshare, the pieces are clearly falling into place.

“This music video is gonna be INSANEE I’m so excited,” one excited fan wrote.

Another shared, “Omg this is gonna be so peak🥹.”

“THIS IS AN INSANE LINEUP ?!?!?!,” said a third.

Fans also theorized about who the other collaborators could be.

“Olivia rodrigo is my guess ,” one fan theorized, while another wrote, “LOLA TUNG AND HUDSON WILLIAMS.”

The lead-up to the news was already a moment in itself. Earlier on Tuesday, Liu appeared in a Instagram dancing to PinkPantheress' "Stateside"—the very song she skated her free skate to at the Milan Olympics—alongside Laufey. The two were dressed to match in full retro attire; Liu in an orange minidress, tall brown boots, and chunky bangles, while Laufey mirrored the retro energy in an all-white crocheted minidress and knee-high boots. 

As for the potential music video, fans will just have to wait and see.

When we wrapped Chicago Medlast week, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) suffered a life-threatening stroke that then required dangerous surgery by the Head of Neurosurgery Dr. Sam Abrams (Brennan Brown) in tonight’s episode – and, happily, he pulled through.

With so many shows killing off characters, Parade had to ask showrunner Allen MacDonald if there was any thought to actually letting the character die.

“Are you crazy?” he responded in this exclusive interview. “We were never going to kill off Dr. Charles.”

In a previous interview, MacDonald explained that when he signed up to take over running Chicago Med, he watched the series in its entirety and had been drawn to the character of Dr. Charles, who was so good at his job.

“I always feel when someone is really exceptionally talented at something, they were pushed to become exceptional by some kind of trauma,” he said. “I don’t know if that’s always true, but at least dramatically it is.”

And so, he laid the foundation over last season and this for these two very dramatic episodes --  "The Book of Charles" and “Altered States" -- in the life of Dr. Charles, but it had to get the approval from the powers that be at Wolf Entertainment, including Peter Jankowski and Rebecca McGill, but especially Dick Wolf, because it included dream sequences, which is not something the #OneChicago shows normally do. But the idea met with positivity and MacDonald recalls, “Dick Wolf said, ‘I love it!  I love it, let’s do it.’”

So MacDonald did it, and teases that Dr. Charles’ surviving surgery is just the beginning. He has a long road ahead to what will be his new normal.

“He’s mentally clear but leaning toward depression a little bit, having issues with antidepressants and not feeling quite right because of them,” MacDonald says. “That makes him question what kind of future he wants to have. Does he want to stay at Gaffney? Does he want to possibly go teach at a medical school? What the stroke does, and the dream sequences [he experiences as a result] elucidate for him, is that he wants to continue his work at Gaffney.”

That said, MacDonald also hints that things will be different upon his return. Dr. Theo Rabari (Manish Dayal), has been subbing for Dr. Charles, and there will be some conflict coming down the pike between the two of them. Some additional conflict, we should say, because the two clashed previously over a study Dr. Rabari was doing. So, stayed tuned.

For Platt, who is one of the two original cast members left on Chicago Med, the experience has been “really fun.”

He tells Parade, “Actors, what we look for is obstacles, we look for problems, we want every day actually to be the worst day in our life. But you can’t always have that, and you don’t always want that, trust me, it’s exhausting, but I just had a lot of fun doing it.”
