Jack in the Box Is Bringing Back One of Its Most Requested Burgers Ever for Its 75th Anniversary

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 5:05pm

We all have that one fast food item we desperately wish would come back. Maybe it's Taco Bell's Enchirito or KFC's potato wedges. Sometimes those wishes actually come true, as fans have seen with recent comebacks like McDonald's’ Snackwrap and Burger King's Cini Minis. Now, it's Jack in the Box fans' turn.

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Jack in the Box is bringing back one of its most requested menu items: the Hot Mess Burger. The cult favorite has been off the menu for more than a decade, and its return is back for a limited time. You'll want to grab this one while you can.

After years of requests, the Hot Mess Burger returns to select Jack in the Box locations nationwide starting Feb. 16, and will be available through April 5. The comeback comes with plenty of fanfare, including a remake of the original Hot Mess commercial, limited-edition collectibles, and an anniversary tour marking 75 years of Jack in the Box.

So what exactly makes this burger such a big deal? According to the brand, the Hot Mess Burger features a 100 percent beef jumbo patty seasoned as it grills, topped with white cheese sauce, shredded pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, and crunchy onion rings on toasted sourdough bread. It's rich, messy, spicy, and unapologetically over the top, which is exactly why fans never forgot it.

First released in 2013, the Hot Mess Burger came with a lore-heavy campaign featuring Jack Box as the frontman of an '80s rock band called Meat Riot, where he famously met his wife, Cricket. For the 75th anniversary, Jack reprises that role in a newly remade version of the ad, giving longtime fans a nostalgic callback to one of the brand's most memorable campaigns.

The Hot Mess Burger isn't coming back alone. Fans can also order the Hot Mess Munchie Meal, which bundles the burger with two tacos, curly fries, a drink, and a Meat Riot–themed antenna ball, while supplies last.

Jack in the Box is marking the return with a Hot Mess Anniversary Tour, running Feb. 13-21, kicking off in San Diego and wrapping up in Austin, Texas, with a stop in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles stop features a limited-time installation by the Hundreds, with each tour stop offering a different experience and a chance to try the Hot Mess Burger.

More Throwback Menu Items Are Returning

The Hot Mess Burger isn't the only nostalgic item making a comeback. Jack in the Box has already announced the return of the Chicken Supreme, available as a Chicken Supreme combo, a Double Chicken Supreme combo, and a Munchie Meal option. First introduced in 1980 and discontinued in 2004, it's another longtime fan favorite getting a second life this year.

The anniversary celebration also includes limited-edition collectible bag charms called Jibbi, featuring characters such as Icy, Saucey, Spicy and the ultra-rare "The Boss." Additional throwbacks, including Frings, Smashed Jack Sliders, and Sauced & Loaded Wedges, are also set to return.

Why Fans Are So Excited

Fans have been asking for the Hot Mess Burger's return ever since it disappeared from the menu. Over the years, it's regularly come up in online discussions as one of Jack in the Box's most memorable burgers, and, for some, the gold standard.

"Imho Jack in the Box's best burger to date had to be the Hot Mess released in 2013," one fan wrote in a Reddit discussion. Another echoed the sentiment on X, saying, "I can't lie. I think about that Hot Mess Burger daily. I just want to hit up Jack in the Box late at 10pm and mash a Munchie Meal one more time."

The excitement goes beyond the Hot Mess. In one Reddit thread reacting to the 2026 anniversary news, fans have been celebrating its return while also calling for other long-lost favorites, from mini pancakes and nacho monster tacos to stacked grilled cheeseburgers and the ghost pepper sandwich.

It's a reminder of just how many hits Jack in the Box has had over the years, and how strongly certain menu items stick with people. For longtime fans, the Hot Mess Burger's return feels long-overdue.

One of the Hottest TV Series of the ‘70s Is Headed to the Big Screen Once Again

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 4:55pm

Charlie's Angels was one of the hottest TV series of the '70s, and it's headed back to the big screen... again.

Ahead of the beloved show's 50th anniversary, Sony is developing a new feature version of Charlie’s Angels, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The studio has hired Pete Chiarelli, who is known for the hit romantic comedyThe Proposal, which starred Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, and the adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, to write the script.

In a fun twist, the piece stated that a source shared that Drew Barrymore, who produced two of the previous film adaptations of the classic series, is attached to produce with her company, Flower Films.

The Original Charlie's Angels

The original Charlie's Angels series, which ran for 115 episodes from 1976 to 1981, starred Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson as a trio of women who ditch their boring gigs right out of the police academy for an action-packed life as private investigators. (Fawcett was replaced by Cheryl Ladd in season 2.) While the series got plenty of criticism, it was an instant hit with fans and pulled in serious ratings.

The First Charlie's Angels Film

Charlie's Angels came back to life in 2000 with its first feature film starring Cameron DiazDrew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu. The film, which was produced by Barrymore, was a major hit, even knocking Meet the Parents from the top of the box office. The trio returned in 2003 for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

In 2019, director Elizabeth Banks attempted to bring the franchise back with another big-screen version of Charlie's Angels starring Kristen StewartNaomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. However, the film suffered from poor ticket sales and mixed reviews.

Here's a look at the trailer from the hit version from 2000:

The Original Stars Will Reunite

Last month, it was announced that Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd will reunite at PaleyFest in Los Angeles on April 6 for the 50th anniversary celebration of the show.

"We are proud that we were able to entertain the television viewing audience for an hour each week, let them put their feet up, forget their troubles and, at the same time, inspire and empower young women all over the world," the stars told PEOPLE in a statement. "We look forward to reuniting on the PaleyFest stage to celebrate Charlie’s Angels' milestone anniversary and to reflect on our work in television across the decades."

‘90s Country Legend, 62, Abruptly Ends Concert Early Due to ‘Sudden Illness’

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 4:47pm

Mark Chesnutt was forced to leave the stage mid-performance during a recent concert due to illness, according to Taste of Country

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the country music legend and key figure of the neotraditionalist movement was performing at the Oxford Performing Arts Center in Oxford, Ala., when he abruptly cut his show early, leaving the rest of the band perplexed. Despite the health scare, the “Brother Jukebox” singer’s publicist has released a statement revealing the country star’s illness is nothing major.

"Mark has been fighting off a sinus infection. It was affecting his voice, and he wasn't able to continue the show," the publicist said, per the outlet. "He should be good to go soon."

The music venue where Chesnutt was performing his set also released a statement on its official Facebook page, letting folks know that they hope the concert can be rescheduled in the near future.

“Due to a sudden illness, the artist was unable to complete tonight’s performance,” the statement reads. “We are hopeful to reschedule the concert and share a new date soon.”

Those who purchased tickets to the show were also told, “All current ticket holders will be contacted with additional details. Those who are unable to attend the rescheduled performance will have the option to receive a full refund.”

“We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding,” the Facebook post continued. “Situations like this are extremely rare at the Oxford Performing Arts Center, and we are grateful for the kindness shown by our patrons this evening. More information will be sent directly to ticket holders soon. Thank you!”

Mark Chesnutt Has Faced Some Health-Related Issues Over the Past Few Years

The troubling news follows a series of health challenges Chesnutt has faced in recent years. Most recently, he was forced to miss an October 2025 performance and was instead hospitalized in Alabama for a medical issue later attributed to low sodium levels and severely elevated blood pressure.

Before that, the two-time CMA Award winner underwent quadruple bypass surgery for a “heart health issue.” In 2023, he had to have back surgery for a fractured spine.

The Country Singer Postponed Two Additional Shows

In addition to his mid-show exit, Chesnutt postponed two more performances. Those were supposed to take place on Feb. 13 at Miller Theater in Augusta, Ga., and Feb. 14 at the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium in Smithfield, N.C.; the latter of those has been rescheduled for March 29.

Denise Richards' Fiery New Photoshoot With Carmen Electra Has Fans Doing a Double Take

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 4:26pm

Nineties bombshells Denise Richards and Carmen Electra may have just teamed up for a photoshoot, but eagle-eyed fans are noticing something may be a bit off with the newly released pics.

The steamy photos, posted just in time for Valentine's Day to promote the ladies' OnlyFans collaboration, not only caught the attention of fans who commented with fire emojis, but also had observers wondering about the editing of the pics.

"Why does Denise have 6 toes on her right foot?" one commenter wrote. "The filters and photoshop is crazy. Why don't just take a regular photo?"

"This is definitely AI — look at her toes," another added. "It’s super weird. You think they would be better at this."

"Is that a 6th toe on her right foot?" questioned a third.

However tons of other fans commented, praising the beauties who both donned red lingerie. Richards also posed an additional photo of the two in black ensembles.

"Happy Valentine's Day," Richards captioned the pics. "My galentine💘 @carmenelectra & I finally did a shoot together for you...."

Electra also shared a batch of photos from the collab, teasing more content on the adult site.

"Cupid brought us together. Now we’re bringing the fun to you," she wrote. "Join @deniserichards and I this Valentine’s."

Richards, famous for her roles in 'Wild Things,' 'Super Troopers,' and more recently The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and the Baywatch star announced their OnlyFans collab in January.

The actresses who've regularly flaunted their gorgeous looks since the height of their fame, both launched accounts with the subscription content site in 2022.

"It's my creative direction and what I want to do and I now am the boss and it feels good," Electra told The Associated Press at the time.

As for Richards, she launched her account just after the 'Scary Movie' actress. The RHOBH alum's daughter Sami Sheenalso has an OnlyFans page, while her other daughter Lola, has said she has no interest in joining.

"It’s their path, it’s what they wanted to do,” she shared in an interview last year. “I don’t really have a voice in that, I don’t want to, you know, they don’t tell me what to do, so I’m like, it’s not my thing, but it’s their thing, so, I don’t speak on it really.”

'90s Rock Band's Last Album With Beloved Member Sees Massive Surge on the Charts Over 30 Years Later

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 4:00pm

It's a tragic fact that many of the most iconic musicians of the '90s are no longer with us, as fans know all too well. From Kurt Cobain to Chris Cornell to Scott Weiland to Mark Lanegan and so many others, the music world is still mourning so many losses.

Another rocker on that unfortunate list: Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, who died in 2002. But his music lives on — in fact, the band's last album recorded with Staley is back on the charts.

As Forbes reported, Alice in Chains' self-titled third album, released in 1995, hit multiple Billboard charts for the first time this week, due to a dramatic sales increase after the album's long-awaited vinyl reissue. In fact, the record almost hit #1 in America on the highly competitive Vinyl Albums chart...but landed at #2, behind the Stranger Things 5 soundtrack.

A massive spike in sales fueled the ascent of the album (often referred to as Three-Legged Dog or The Dog Album due to the tripod canine featured on the cover). Per data from Luminate, sales grew by a whopping 9,400% from one frame to the next following the reissue. This is the band's fifth top 10 on the Vinyl Albums chart, along with Dirt and the Jar of Flies EP, which both hit #1, as well as Rainier Fog and the Sap EP, which came in #3 and #8, respectively.

Jerry Cantrell called the third Alice in Chains album 'sad'

In a 2018 interview with Vice, guitarist Jerry Cantrell reflected on Alice in Chains and how Staley's addiction struggles influenced the material.

There’s a sadness to that record — it’s the sound of a band falling apart," he said. "It was our last studio record [to that point]. It’s a beautiful record, but it’s sad, too. It’s a little more exploratory, a little bit more meandering. It’s not as crafted as the rest of our records were."

"I didn’t know that it would be the last one, but you could feel that if something didn’t change we wouldn’t be lasting too much longer," Cantrell added. "That’s just the honest truth of it. And it turned out to be right, unfortunately."

'90s Rock Icons Tease Las Vegas Residency

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:53pm

Any '90s kid who caught a Toolmusic video on Headbanger's Ball or 120 Minutes knows the band has a signature, unnerving visual style.

Now, imagine seeing those disturbing but entrancing images on the 580,000 square feet of LED displays of the Las Vegas Sphere as Maynard James Keenan and crew perform? That apparently is the plan, according to the band's drummer, Danny Carey.

In a Feb. 13 interview with Spiral Out, Carey, 64, said that Tool was "hoping [that] when we release the new record, maybe [we 'll] do a stint that the Sphere,' cause I think we're the perfect band for that."

"We've been talking to those guys," Carey said about the Sphere. He added that "the preparation" to make a show for the Sphere is "pretty intense" and a "very expensive endeavor." After coordinating all the visual elements, sound cues, and arrangements, Carey said it "takes a while to get into the black. I think [you have to play] quite a few shows before you make any money."

Carey also touched upon Tool's visual identity. "We all [draw] upon our influences," he said, "from sculptors, painters, you know—whatever, any kind of works like that. It all feeds into your psyche and affects your creativity. It's been fun on our last few tours, Adam [Jones, guitarist] has really connected with the visual art."

So, here's the bad news: Tool's potential residency in Vegas might not be until 2027. Tool's last album was 2019's Fear Inoculum, their first since 2006's 10,000 Days. The band members have their own projects: for example, on Friday (Feb. 13), vocalist Maynard James Keenan released Normal Isn't, his new album with his band Puscifer.

However, Carey has gone on record to say that "the goal" is to have a new Tool album out by 2027.

Tool was recently in the news, thanks to American rock climber Alex Honnold. Honnold completed a free solo climb up the 11th-tallest building the world, the Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan. Afterward, Honnold said he "mostly" listened to Tool while making the climb.

Keenan's reaction to that? "What the heck were you thinking, dude?" Keenan remarked in an interview with ABC Audio. "It's impressive! It's extremely impressive, but I mean, I wouldn't make it past the first floor. I would fall to my death."

Nothing can knock you down or stand in your way after you’ve gone to hell and back. These hardships from your younger years allow you to step into your authority in your later years.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom's Case Could Break Quickly After 'Huge Step Forward,' Retired FBI Agent Says

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:28pm

As we enter the third week since Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, authorities have obtained some new information that is being called a "huge step forward" in the investigation.

On Sunday, Feb. 15, the FBI confirmed that it found DNA on a black glove that was found on the side of the road, not too far from Nancy's home in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona. The glove was taken in as evidence and has been processed, but the DNA results are pending. The FBI says that the glove could be a match to the gloves worn by a subject who was on Nancy's front stoop the night that she went missing.

Retired FBI Special Agent and Former Navy SEAL Jonathan Gilliam spoke with Laura Ingle on NewsNation to share his take on what could transpire once the FBI receives the DNA results. Most importantly, Gilliam believes that the case could break "quickly."

"This is solid evidence. This plus the video footage that we have, you're going to see this case...I'm going to predict that this case is going to start breaking very quickly," Gilliam said.

"They don't have to have a record of that person's DNA. If someone in that family has done a DNA test and it's on record, now, they can start searching. And through this remarkable technique that they have, they can locate a general area in a family where this person may be," he continued, adding, "so, I think this is going to start to go very quickly."

The FBI received preliminary results on the initial DNA sample from the glove that was sent out. The process can take 24 hours from the time that the FBI receives the DNA, which suggests that there could be some answers on Sunday, Feb. 15, or Monday, Feb. 16. Once the DNA comes back, it will be entered into CODIS (Combined DNA Index System), which can link DNA profiles that have been collected from crime scenes, convicted offenders, as well as other means.

Meanwhile, there was also DNA found inside Nancy's home that did not match that of her immediate family or those close to her. A raid carried out on Friday, Feb. 13 saw three people detained and then released.

Nancy has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities believe that she may have been abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said that no one has been ruled out as a suspect or person of interest in the case.

‘I Tried Cycle-Syncing for 2 Months, and My Mind Is Blown'

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:25pm

Over the last couple of years, I've made a conscious effort to get off my phone. But I've largely replaced scrolling Instagram with listening to podcasts. Between that and my work as a health writer, I've consumed more than my share of hormonal health content. Though perimenopause and menopause have (at long last) entered mainstream conversations, I'm not there yet. But last year, I listened to a few podcast episodes on the concept of "cycle syncing," and my mind was blown.

Cycle syncing involves adjusting your schedule, habits and routines, including nutrition and exercise, to align with the four phases of the menstrual cycle (menstrual, follicular, ovulation and luteal). I've delved into this a little bit in the past; I halfheartedly tried cycle syncing in my 20s after reading a sidebar on it in Cosmopolitan. However, life got busy, and I got pregnant and breastfed for several years, so I didn't have much of a regular cycle until early 2025. It was just in time for cycle syncing to enter the zeitgeist.

I'm not one to follow every wellness trend. I don't have a supplement routine, never counted macros (even you, protein) and have zero time for everything showers. Yet, syncing my workout intensity and diet (through whole foods) to my cycle seemed like a pretty low-risk way to nourish my body. Plus, my body was once again changing, as my period returned, bringing with it pesky side effects, like bloating in the days before my menstrual phase. The possible upside seemed pretty huge. So, I committed to cycle syncing my food and exercise for two months. Here's what happened when I got into the flow.

🩺SIGN UP for Parade’s health newsletter with expert-approved tips, healthy eats, exercises, news & more to help you stay healthy & feel your best self💊

How I Used the 4 Menstrual Cycle Phases To Choose Food and Exercise

Beth Ann Mayer

First, as the discerning human that I am, I wanted to learn more about cycle syncing from more reputable sources than the life coaches whose podcasts I listen to (love them, but even they admit they aren't medical pros). So, I looked at the Cleveland Clinic's guide to cycle syncing and used it as a roadmap.

Also, research and education around menstrual cycles are historically lacking, and there's still stigma surrounding periods. So, no shame on you if any of the below is new information:

The menstrual cycle lasts about 28 days (mine is more like 30, so keep in mind there's a range) and starts on the first day of your period (when you bleed). Here's what's happening inside the body and how I customized my nutrition and workout plan to meet this biological reality. You can do it, too.

1. Menstrual phase (Days 0 to 5-7)

Hello, period. Estrogen and energy dip as your body sheds the uterine lining.

Nutrition: I loaded up on foods rich in iron (spinach, beets, and beans), vitamin C (citrus) and omega-3s to replace nutrients lost during bleeding and reduce inflammation.

Exercise: It's natural to feel like you're dragging, but gentle movement can help you feel less bloated and blah. Think yoga, brisk walking and Pilates. All three helped me for sure.

2. Follicular phase (Days 5-8 to 13)

Depending on how long your period is, you'll start to notice an uptick in energy in about a week. You can credit this to the rise in estrogen, which is also responsible for your uterine lining getting thicker.

Nutrition: I tried to balance rising energy and estrogen with cruciferous veggies (broccoli and cauliflower), lean protein and healthy fats (nuts and seeds).

Exercise: With the period slog over, faster cardio, like running or swimming for endurance, felt blissful.

3. Ovulation phase (Days 14 to 15-20)

This phase is when you're most fertile, so I want to point out that some people have longer or shorter ovulation phases depending on their unique bodies. However, whether you're trying to conceive or not, your hormones are in mating mode. Peak estrogen and testosterone levels tell your ovaries to release an egg, so you'll notice a surge in energy.

Nutrition: Honestly? Really similar to the follicular phase. That said, you're feeling extra social, so it's a great time to eat out with a partner or pals.

Exercise: It's also peak performance time. I took Cleveland Climic's advice and engaged in harder workouts (HIIT, heavier lifts) and felt strong and proud until the last rep.

4. Luteal phase (Days 16-20 to 28)

Progesterone rises and energy dips as your body prepares to care for a fertilized egg (even if that ain't happening). You may experience PMS during the final days of this phase.

Nutrition: Complex carbs and high-fiber foods like sweet potatoes, lentils and leafy greens can help ward off PMS-induced cravings for comfort foods. They can also keep you regular (reducing bloating) and help sustain energy levels.

Exercise: Medium-intensity felt supportive for the first two to three days (your mileage may vary), with lower impact (and lower-energy Peloton instructors, in my case) working best as I got closer to my period.

What I Learned From Cycle Syncing: 4 Key Takeaways

I was hopeful but skeptical about cycle syncing at first. Could switching around some foods and shortening cardio sessions to spend more time stretching during my period actually change my life?

I won't oversell it. My life isn't profoundly changed, but I am blown away by how much certain things improved when I worked with my body's natural rhythm rather than against it. I learned that:

1. I enjoyed workouts more

Trying to do HIIT during or days before my period was like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. And restorative yoga made me restless when I was ovulating. More intentional workout choices helped me get a maximum endorphin release and feel great afterward.

2. Vibe was important

I do a lot of Peloton workouts, and the instructor really matters. The last thing I wanted while on my period was a low-impact workout with a high-energy instructor speaking loudly to me (and 1,000 other riders). I preferred more low-key and meditative instructors (like Sam Yo and Christine D'Ercole). Rebecca Kennedy's old HIIT workouts were a fab blast from my past during my follicular and ovulation phases.

3. Fuel is important

Aligning my food choices to my energy and literal gut feelings felt supportive and eventually intuitive. I experienced fewer cravings and bloating during my luteal phase. Eating fresh, raw veggies during my follicular and ovulation phases played into my more motivated mindset.

4. I can get too into it

I was afraid of this one, and it certainly did happen at times. I have a habit of trying to do everything perfectly and follow every rule. At times, cycle syncing caused me to go down a hole of over-planning, such as studying a menu to find the best dish for the friend date I was having while ovulating, or immediately revamping my workout plan when I realized my period started.

Tips for Cycle-Syncing

Like a life coach, I am not a medical expert. I am a 38-year-old woman who isn't on birth control or trying to get pregnant and has generally had a regular cycle (when not pregnant, nursing a child or marathon training). Please talk to your doctor if you have concerns about your cycle or hormonal health. Still, I feel that I can offer some general tips for getting the most out of cycle syncing.

  • Start slow. I did a lot of overhauling at once, but it might have been less overwhelming to work up to cycle syncing progressively. Try adding one of the suggested foods per cycle phase, or focus on exercise first before worrying about nutrition.
  • Journal. Keeping track of what foods and workouts feel supportive to you at each phase will let you personalize your experience.
  • It's not all or nothing. I'm talking to myself here, too. You don't have to follow cycle syncing perfectly to get benefits, and spinach is great to eat any day, regardless of hormones.

Bottom Line

I plan to continue to cycle sync while monitoring my all-or-nothing mindset. I've found that, over time, my focus on working with my body has expanded to other areas of my life. While I don't have 100% control over my schedule, I certainly have some.

So, I can give myself grace when I say no to a last-minute invite in favor of relaxing during my period, and I can seek out more chances to be social when I have the energy and confidence that ovulation brings. It's ultimately allowed me to become more fully human and accepting of myself, rather than expecting myself to operate in one gear amid fluctuating hormones.

‘The Pitt’ Star Taylor Dearden, Daughter of Bryan Cranston, Goes Full Glam and Gorgeous on the Red Carpet

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:06pm

The Pitt star Taylor Dearden has the same star power as her father, Breaking Bad legend Bryan Cranston.

Dearden, 33, hit the red carpet at the 41st annual Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday, where she was up for an award in the Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series category. The actress, who got her start with a role on her father's most famous series, went on to appear on the MTV series Sweet/Vicious and the Netflix series American Vandal. But it's her role as the sweet second-year resident Dr. Melissa King, opposite Noah Wyle on TV's hottest medical series, The Pitt, that has kicked Dearden's star power into high gear.

Dearden looked stunning in a deep green strapless dress with pleats and a gold belt. With her strawberry blonde hair tied back and bold red lipstick, it was a sharp contrast from the hospital scrubs we're used to seeing her in on The Pitt.

Her Character on The Pitt is a Fan Favorite

Dearden's Pitt character, Dr. Mel King, is a fan favorite on the series. Like her character, Dearden is also neurodivergent. However, unlike Dearden, King has not yet been diagnosed. Dearden recently spoke with Harper's Bazaar about her own journey.

"I was really young. My second-grade teacher said to my parents, 'She can’t finish a test. Something’s up here.' Usually, girls get diagnosed with ADHD later in life, but luckily, I was a little hyperactive. Because of that, I presented more like a boy, and I was able to get diagnosed earlier," Dearden shared, noting that a significant amount of progress has been made in the study of ADHD even in the last five years.

Earning Praise From Her Father

“Well, Taylor is a wonderful, hard-working actor," Cranston told Craig Melvin during an appearance on TODAY. "She grew up in this business with my wife and I being actors. And so, we’re so proud of her."

Cranston went on to say that there's nothing better than hearing his daughter is thriving.

"When I hear praise for Taylor’s work on ‘The Pitt,’ it means more to me than anything anyone could ever say to me about my work," he said. "You know, you’re a proud dad. And I’m OK. I could retire after you hear that.”

Aldi’s $25 3-Piece Duvet Set Mimics Marimekko Prints in the Prettiest Way

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:05pm

Some patterns just exist, and then there are Marimekko prints, which are the kind that practically high-five you the second you see them. The brand's oversized florals and sometimes fearless color combos just feel so darn happy. A single Marimekko pillow can wake up an entire room. A dress in one of their iconic prints is an instant mood boost. It's like wearable optimism, and who couldn't use a little optimism these days?

But here's the thing—the Finnish design brand typically comes with a price tag that matches its big, bold prints. And I get it because you're paying for quality and pieces that just beam style. That said, when I can find a more affordable Marimekko dupe, it's a real "Dear Diary" day.

This week in the Aldi Finds aisle, you'll be able to feast your eyes on a Kirkton House 3-Piece Duvet Set that comes in a black-and-white floral not so unlike a Marimekko print. It comes in queen or king sizes, each priced at $24.99.

There are two other duvet sets (priced the same at $24.99) at Aldi this week—a solid crisp white and a grey colorway. These have a waffle-weave texture rather than the Marimekko look-alike.

If you're in the market for new household wares, Aldi is kind of the place to be this week. It has a great laundry tote that will make that job easier, and if you've been missing out on its viral cordless stick vacuum over the years, guess what? The Cyclonic Cordless Stick Vacuum is finally back in stores for $79.99.

If $80 for an Aldi vacuum is a little too rich for your blood, maybe the Casalux 5-Pack of Indoor Rechargeable Puck Lights for $14.99 are more your speed. They're so colorful and cute—meaning kind of hard to resist—and can be moved around from room to room with ease.

So head to Aldi, pick your poison and come home to create a budget-friendly home refresh.

'90s Alt Rocker Celebrating 30th Anniversary Reunites With Fellow 'MTV Icon'

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:02pm

No, it's not a long-lost 1996 episode of 120 Minutes: Matt Pinfield, radio legend and former host of the long-running alternative music program, recently reunited with Tracy Bonham.

Bonham was a mainstay of the mid-1990s alt scene, thanks to her debut album, The Burdens of Being Upright. In addition to earning her a pair of Grammy nominations and a Gold record, the album's lead single, "Mother Mother," reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart (and was later used in an iconic episode of Yellowjackets).

But, perhaps most of all, it helped her forge a friendship with Pinfield that lasted thirty years. "Hey, it's Matt Pinfield," the 64-year-old said at the start of an Instagram video posted on Feb. 15, as if he were back on MTV. "I'm here with Tracy Bonham and I'm very excited to be with her because are celebrating thirty years since your debut album and…thirty, which is unbelievable!"

"You've been friends for thirty years!" he added, "So, I think that's awesome and I'm so happy to be able to see you to celebrate that with you."

View this post on Instagram

"Matt Pinfield: 90s MTV icon!" wrote Bonham when sharing the video. "I love this man."

Bonham will celebrate Burdens' 30th anniversary with a residency at The Burren in Somerville, Massachusetts, on February 22, March 22, April 19 and May 17. She will perform at The Kate in Connecticut on April 15, along with Bengisu Gokce and a string quartet.

She announced the residency on Feb. 11 with a throwback photo of her on the cover of The Boston Phoenix. The shows will include "storytelling, special guests, strings, nostalgia, community, each show different, culminating in a big finale rock show on the last night (with old friends from the scene)."

Plus, partial proceeds from ticket sales and merch sales will go to BraveWomen.us and Women's March through ActBlue.

Yellowjackets introduced Bonham's signature song to a new generation when used in the second episode.

"At first, I had no idea. I remember approving it," she told Lookout Eugene-Springfield in 2025. Because the show planned to use music by her and other 90s female artists, she approved its use but ultimately forgot about it.

Months later, Bonham's friend sent her a congratulatory text and a clip of the scene. "What happened is that young people started to come to my music," she said. I love that I'm feeling kind of cool again. We didn't realize it when we were all in it, just the '90s being a moment where a lot of strong women were getting airplay. Then, boom, the door slams shut. In retrospect, I feel really proud to be in that moment."

"I love that, for young women especially," she added, "but that everyone is getting a chance to revisit my music plus other women's music from the '90s."

Everything You Need to Know About Mardi Gras, Why It's Celebrated and When Fat Tuesday 2026 Takes Place

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 3:00pm

The words “Mardi Gras” are synonymous with extravagance and indulgence: big parties, large crowds, boisterous parades, colorful masks and…did we say big parties?

Although Mardi Gras itself is a single Tuesday, it’s part of Carnival, a larger, weeks-long celebration of never-ending carousing before the more solemn religious season of Lent and the preparation for Easter begins in the Christian faith.

Mardi Gras (and Carnival) is celebrated in cities around the world, but the most popular hotspots for the festivities are the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. If you can't make it to either of those locations for Fat Tuesday 2026, you can still celebrate Mardi Gras with a delicious king cake shared amongst your friends!

Here is everything you need to know about the season of Mardi Gras, including why it’s celebrated, when Mardi Gras 2026 is, how long it lasts and what Fat Tuesday means.

What is Mardi Gras?

French for “Fat Tuesday,” Mardi Gras falls on the day before Ash Wednesday each year. Mardi Gras Day is the culmination of the Carnival season, a weeks-long party of excessive, over-the-top celebrations. There are parades, live music, festivals and balls held during Carnival, complete with colorful costumes, detailed masks, tons of delicious food and lots of booze!

What is Fat Tuesday?

During the 40 days of Lent, Christians focus on prayer and their relationship with God, typically by giving up or abstaining from something they enjoy (like chocolate or television) or making more of an effort to be kind and charitable.

According to History.com, it was customary for followers to use up all the rich foods in their home in the days leading up to Lent—like meat, eggs, milk, lard and cheese—ahead of the 40 days of lighter eating and fasting. Calling this season of the winter “Carnival” also has origins in the tradition of fasting: “carnelevarium” means to take away meat in Medieval Latin.

As Britannica reported, Fat Tuesday is also called Shrove Tuesday (because Christians in the Middle Ages would confess and be “shriven” or absolved from their sins on this day), Carnival Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday, since making pancakes used up many of the ingredients that were forbidden during the fasting season of Lent.

Is Mardi Gras the same thing as Carnival?

While Mardi Gras is often used to refer to revelries that take place between January and March leading up to Lent, Carnival season is the time period during which those raucous celebrations take place—with Fat Tuesday being the final night of festivities.

Carnival officially begins each year on January 6, the Christian Feast of Epiphany, also called Twelfth Night or Three Kings Day. So, while Mardi Gras and Carnival both celebrate the same thing, Carnival spans several weeks (sometimes up to two or three months) and really ramps up in the last few weeks leading up to Mardi Gras, which is the last night of merriment. Think of it like the Christmas holiday season lasting from Thanksgiving weekend through New Year’s Day.

Why is Mardi Gras celebrated?

The history of Mardi Gras actually goes back centuries, to pagan celebrations of spring and fertility like Saturnalia, according to History.com. When Christianity arrived in Rome, religious leaders incorporated those popular traditions into the new faith.

Since Christians are typically on their best behavior during Lent, the Carnival season and Mardi Gras became a time for people to let loose before the 40 days of inner reflection and repenting between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday—getting out of their system everything that is forbidden during Lent. Modern-day Carnival and Mardi Gras have evolved into more secular celebrations, but the spirit of revelry and debauchery is just as fierce!

How long does Mardi Gras last?

While Mardi Gras is often used interchangeably for Carnival (especially in New Orleans), Mardi Gras is technically only one day: the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. The Carnival season, however, always begins on January 6, which is the Christian holiday of Epiphany or Three Kings Day. How long it lasts can vary year to year, since the date of Ash Wednesday fluctuates depending on when Easter Sunday is.

Is Mardi Gras only celebrated in New Orleans?

Mardi Gras is a legal holiday in the state of Louisiana and is celebrated throughout the state. The bon temps in the French Quarter of New Orleans are arguably the most famous, but Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette and the Cajun Bayou are just a few of the Mardi Gras festivities in Louisiana. Other states in the U.S. celebrate Mardi Gras as well, like Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Missouri, New Mexico and California, to name a few.

Carnival and Mardi Gras celebrations are also very popular in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Colombia and Martinique. Plus the Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is considered to be one the biggest celebrations in the world.

When is Mardi Gras 2026?

Fat Tuesday is always 47 days before Easter. In 2026, Mardi Gras will take place on Tuesday, February 17, with Lent beginning on Wednesday, February 18.

When is Mardi Gras next year?

Here are the Fat Tuesday dates for the next several years:

  • February 9, 2027
  • February 29, 2028
  • February 13, 2029
  • March 5, 2030
  • February 25, 2031
What does King Cake have to do with Mardi Gras?

One of the iconic parts of Mardi Gras in New Orleans is the sweet, buttery pastry known as king cake. Tied to Carnival season begins on Epiphany, the seasonal treat typically shows up in bakeries around January 6 for Three Kings Day and sticks around until Fat Tuesday, just before Lent begins.

Today’s king cakes have a tiny plastic baby baked inside, but the tradition began with a bean or a pea baked inside the cake. Centuries ago, whoever received a slice of cake with a pea or bean got to be king or queen for a day, symbolizing that their year was beginning with good luck. The little plastic baby inside modern king cakes is a nod to the three wise men who visited Baby Jesus on Twelfth Night, and it is tradition for the person who finds the baby in their slice to host next year’s Mardi Gras party and buy the king cake.

Why are masks worn during Carnival and Mardi Gras?

During the early Carnival and Mardi Gras celebrations, revelers wore masks and elaborate costumes to remain anonymous while mingling with different social classes and participating in activities they wouldn’t normally do, like drinking, dancing and gambling.

Today, Mardi Gras-goers around the world still enjoy the tradition of donning masks as they shed their inhibitions and take part in the spirit of the party—because nobody knows who you are when your face is covered by a masquerade mask! Plus, the decorative and colorful facial coverings add to the magical spectacle that is Mardi Gras.

While wearing a mask is an optional part of most Carnival celebrations, it’s actually a requirement in Louisiana for participants on a Mardi Gras parade float! In fact, it’s illegal in the state to wear a mask (certain exceptions such as Halloween aside) unless it’s Mardi Gras. And on Fat Tuesday in New Orleans, a city ordinance decrees that all masks must be removed after 6 p.m.!

1976 Hit Ranked the Second Best ‘American Rock Song’ of All Time Almost Had a Different Name

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 2:19pm

The Eagles' "Hotel California" has been ranked the second best "American Rock Song" of all time by Ultimate Classic Rock.

The 1976 hit was the second single off of the Eagles' 1976 album with the same name. Said album is one of the top 10 best selling albums of all time, according to BBC News.

Some people would argue that the iconic single is the best Eagles song of all time, as it sold more than 16 million copies in the U.S. alone. "Hotel California" was written by the late great Glenn Frey. Band members Don Henley and Don Felder also got writing credits for the track. The official music video for the song has more than 795 million views to date.

As for what the song is about, different people have different interpretations.

“It’s basically a song about the dark underbelly of the American dream and about excess in America, which is something we knew a lot about,” Henley said in a 2002 interview with 60 Minutes via ABC News. "We were all middle class kids from the Midwest. 'Hotel California' was our interpretation of the high life in L.A."

Interestingly, "Hotel California" was initially titled "Mexican Reggae," according to ABC News.

"Hotel California" isn't the only Don Henley tune to make Ultimate Classic Rock's list, either. "The Boys of Summer" is in the No. 15 spot. The track was recorded by Henley while the Eagles were disbanded. It was written by Henley and Mike Campbell. As it turns out, Campbell had Tom Petty demo the track, but, as the story goes, Petty wasn't impressed with the "heavy use of synthesizers," so he passed on it, per American Songwriter.

Fans Think Bobby Flay Is One of ‘Tournament of Champions’ Season 7’s Secret Icons

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 2:18pm

The mystery around Tournament of Champions season 7 just got even hotter—and fans think they already know at least one of the secret “culinary icons.”

When Guy Fieri revealed that four food world legends would enter TOC VII as top-seeded competitors—with their identities kept secret until they walk into the arena—viewers immediately began speculating, especially because Fieri said they were people who have never competed on Tournament of Champions before.

RELATED: ‘Tournament of Champions’ Season 7 Qualifiers Live Updates: Eliminations and Winners Revealed

One fan wrote, “Icons: does that mean Bobby & Gordon will compete?”

Another added, “Could the icons be Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, Morimoto and Tom (head judge of Top Chef)?”

The Morimoto reference points to Masaharu Morimoto, the legendary Iron Chef, while “Tom” refers to Tom Colicchio, longtime head judge of Top Chef and a five-time James Beard Award winner.

RELATED: Meet the 16 Chefs Competing in the 'Tournament of Champions' Qualifying Round

And then there’s the name that keeps popping up in comment after comment: Bobby Flay.

“Will Bobby Flay finally compete? 🤔,” one viewer asked, to which another replied, “This! If you tell me Icon, I want Bobby!”

One fan even warned that if the icons are simply past TOC competitors, “This surprise isn't gonna land lol… they have to be legit surprises, like Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, etc. type of surprises…”

RELATED: Guy Fieri Brings Flavortown to TV for the First Time Ever With New Competition Series

Could a Judge Cross the Line?

Some viewers are even looking closer to home.

“I nominate Chef Scott Conant for next season!!! Always a judge, never a competitor, let's see what you got, hot stuff!” one fan wrote, prompting another to respond, “I agree, he should compete. He did compete on Triple Threat and won. He is fun to watch.”

Conant is already confirmed to appear this season as a judge, but the speculation underscores just how invested viewers are in the “icon” twist.

Jet Tila’s Redemption Run?

While fans debate the secret top seeds, many are laser-focused on one returning competitor: Jet Tila.

Tila has made it to the semifinals four seasons in a row — seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5 — only to fall just short of the championship. He lost in the quarterfinals in season 1 and in the second round in season 6.

Several fans are openly campaigning for a breakthrough win this year.

But for Fieri, the emotional stakes of season 7 go far beyond bracket predictions.

RELATED: Jet Tila Pens Heartbreaking Post About ‘Brother’ Transitioning to Hospice

In a recent Instagram video previewing the season, he called this installment “probably, out of all the TOCs, the most emotional for me.”

He pointed to Shirley Chung returning after battling stage four tongue cancer, and Tobias Dorzon competing after surviving a shooting in which he was shot 11 times.

“To go to rehab, to come back, and come compete in TOC 7. What a warrior,” Fieri said of Dorzon.

“There’s Jet Tila going for his fifth time in the Final Four. There’s newcomers coming through qualifiers getting to the Final Four. It's the high highs and the low lows of TOC.”

Whether the four secret icons turn out to be Bobby Flay, Morimoto, Colicchio, or someone else entirely, one thing is clear: expectations for season 7 are sky-high.

Tournament of Champions season 7 premieres March 1 on Food Network, following the qualifier episodes currently airing.

‘Madam Secretary’ Star Tèa Leoni Is Headed Back to Comedy With New Sitcom Alongside Jamie Lee Curtis

Sun, 02/15/2026 - 2:10pm

Tèa Leoni may be most famous for her dramatic roles, but the actress is returning to TV with a new comedy pilot.

Leoni, 59, rose to stardom with roles in films like Deep Impact, The Family Man, and Bad Boys. But it was her role in the dramatic series Madam Secretary, in which she played United States Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord, that led her to mainstream success.

Now, Leoni is headed back to network TV. She's set to star in Newlyweds, an NBC pilotco-created by Gail Lerner and Jamie Lee Curtis, Deadline reported. The series is a later-in-life love story about a free-spirited woman named Jeanie, played by Leoni, and a buttoned-up professor who marry impetuously after a whirlwind courtship, according to the synopsis.

While Lerner will pen the series, Curtis is expected to take on a supporting role.

It won't be Leoni's first time tackling a sitcom. Back in the '90s, she starred alongside Holland Taylor in The Naked Truth, which followed the drama of a tabloid news publication.

She Flexed Her Comedy Chops on Only Murders in the Building

Leoni's new comedy gig follows her successful run on season 5 of Hulu's hit series Only Murders in the Building, in which she played Sofia Caccimelio, the wife of the missing "Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn," Nicky Caccimelio. After years of dramatic roles, it was great to see Leoni inject a little humor into things!

Leoni is a Newlywed

Leoni, who was previously married to David Duchovny, married actor Tim Daly, known for roles on Wings, Private Practice, and Madam Secretary, in 2025. The duo first met on Secretary in 2014, and played husband and wife Elizabeth and Henry McCord in the series, which ran for six seasons.

When asked when he fell in love with Leoni, Daly spoke candidly with PEOPLE: "God, about four minutes after I met her at the office of Madam Secretary,"

While the duo doesn't appear on social media together all that often, occasionally they pull a good one out of the archive, like Daly's throwback photo of Leoni and himself with Madeleine Albright.

A third exclaimed, “Woohoo, you know what you’re doing Q. The set up was master planned, Ace is going to be the best like his daddy!’

In a previous interview with Parade, the realtor shared how transformative becoming a dad has been since welcoming their son. “So last two years I’ve had a baby, a baby boy. Family has always been central to Q’s story. One of 17 children and the fourth oldest in his household, he grew up understanding the value of hard work and opportunity. That drive helped earn him athletic scholarships in football and track before eventually stepping into the spotlight on Survivor.

And Q’s announcement comes a little over a month after Fraser shared his own news, declaring that he and wife Maggie Turner were expecting their own little one. “Baby Fraser coming to you in May 2026 ✨” the couple shared on Instagram.

Both Fraser and Q will be competing on Survivor 50, which is set to premiere on Wednesday, February 25.
