Supermodel Patti Hansen, 69, Looks Ageless Over 40 Years After Marrying Keith Richards

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:43pm

Patti Hansen, who was one of the top models in the 1970s and 1980s, proved that she's still got it in her latest personal update, sharing a chic photo on the beach.

The 69-year-old, who has been married to The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards since 1983, shared a personal photo on social media on Feb. 7 that highlighted her ageless beauty. In the snap, Hansen modeled a stylish two-piece set featuring a dark blue and white pattern all over, with her hair in a messy updo.

She captioned the post, "Thanks so much @watskinofficial for sending me this cool protective sunwear," referring to the company behind her outfit. While it's unclear exactly where the photo was taken, Hansen stood with her feet in the sand on a picturesque beach, with greenery all around her.

Friends and fans complimented the supermodel on the photo, writing things like, "Always so beautiful and elegant!❤️," "Just stunning," and "It looks beautiful on you. Enjoy the warm sunshine!"

Someone else wrote, "Enjoy—Glad you’re escaping freezing New York right now! 🌞 🏝️ 🏖️," while another person chimed in to say, "You look gorgeous as always Patti 😍 Enjoy that sunshine with Keith!"

A different fan declared the ensemble "Sun safety chic," as a similar comment about the outfit read, "Great sun wear and I love the pattern."

This was a rare update from Hansen, who tends to stay off social media most of the time. She occasionally shares personal photos and special messages for her loved ones' birthdays or other occasions.

Along with her landmark modeling career, Hansen also explored acting in the 1980s, with roles in Rich Kids, They All Laughed, and Hard to Hold, before she returned to modeling.

Hansen married Richards in 1983, and they've been together ever since. The couple welcomed two daughters, Theodora and Alexandra, both of whom followed in their mother's footsteps to work in modeling, among other things.

Casey Wasserman Represents Many A-List Music Artists

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:40pm

Wasserman–the talent agency represents talent in sports, entertainment, music, and digital creators. Casey Wasserman's interactions with Ghislaine Maxwell were released on January 30. Maxwell was sentenced for 20 years for conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors. His clients have started denouncing him publicly. Chappell Roan is one of the biggest artists to do this. She's not the only high-profile client on the company's client list.

Which Artists Are Represented By Casey Wasserman? Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Kacey Musgraves, Lorde, and Pharrell are also represented by the company, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sources claim artists are considering leaving the firm. Billie Eilish and FINNEAS previously left the firm for WME in 2024, according to Billboard. This happened after there was a report that Wasserman had affairs with his employees, according to Variety.

Wasserman was on the flight log for a 2002 AIDS tour in Africa with Maxwell, Chris Tucker, President Bill Clinton, and Kevin Spacey. The FBI interviewed an emergency physician who was onboard to support the president. He revealed there were four women between the ages of 20 and 22 with them, and no one knew why.

President Clinton posted on X on February 6, calling for a public hearing in front of a committee. "I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared," read the tweet on his account. "If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about."

Variety reported on February 9 that artists called for Wasserman to step down and divest or sell the talent agency. He reportedly declined and will meet with the top executives later this week. There is also pressure for him to leave his position as a chairman for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

'90s Rocker Responds to Halftime Show Lip-Sync Controversy: Here's What Really Happened

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:38pm

Kid Rock isn't going to let lip-syncing accusations fly without weighing in.

The '90s rocker, born Robert James Ritchie, took a moment to address the speculation that he wasn't singing live during his performance of "Bawitdaba" during the Turning Point USA halftime show, as the words were heard while the mic wasn't by his mouth.

While appearing on Fox News' The Ingraham Angle on Feb. 9, he revealed, "My DJ, who actually raps that song with me, was not lit up."

Ingraham called the performance "out of whack," as the 55-year-old went on to explain, "I’m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I’m taking breaths, and my DJ is filling in the other parts of it."

He did, however, confirm that the show, which was marketed as the "pro-American" and alternative to the NFL's Super BowlHalftime Show with Bad Bunny, was pre-taped and did not air live.

“I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, ‘You guys got to work on that sync. It’s off,’” he expressed, noting that ultimately, it was a syncing issue.

“So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.”

""He’s coming to Nashville tonight, flying in. We’re going to do that live in my living room and I’m going to post it tomorrow to show people exactly how this works," he explained.

The show, timed to air at the same time as the NFL's halftime show, was organized by Turning Point USA, the conservative political organization cofounded by the late Charlie Kirk.

Despite the controversy surrounding Bad Bunny as the performer for this year's halftime show, Kid Rock admitted to tuning into the performance, though he said he "didn't understand any of it," as the Puerto Rican artist performed exclusively in Spanish.

“I saw there’s a lot of dancers and a lot of big to-do stuff,” he noted, underscoring, "And, you know, he said he wanted to have a dance party. It looked like he had one.”

Ultimately, however, Kid Rock told Laura Ingraham that Bad Bunny's show was "not his cup of tea," clarifying, "but I don’t fault that kid for doing the Super Bowl, getting in front of a global audience."

He placed blame elsewhere, instead, adding, "I fault the NFL for putting him in that position and Turning Point for having to come out and have an alternative for people to watch. You know, it’s just … poor kid.”

While Kid Rock headlined the Turning Point USA show, the lineup also included Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert and Gabby Barrett.

Kirk's widow, EricaKirk, was absent from the halftime show, which included a tribute to her late husband who was killed in Sept. 2025 at the age of 31.

However, she shared her thoughts on social media after, noting that he would've "loved it."

“The @TPUSA All-American Halftime Show was so incredible. Charlie would’ve absolutely loved it,” she wrote, further extending gratitude, “Thank you to the millions that tuned in. I’m so proud of our entire team, staff, and the artists who believed in the vision and mission.”

"It’s okay to love Jesus and your country," she added, concluding by sending love to Charlie and stating, "This is all for you."

The Most Cringe-Worthy Gift Margot Robbie Has Ever Gotten

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:36pm

Reflecting on her early career, Margot Robbie shared the story of a painfully awkward gift from an actor—one she hasn't forgotten to this day.

Sitting down with Charlie XCX for Complex's GOAT Talk, the two women took turns answering questions about their Hollywood crushes, favorite on-screen kisses, and go-to shower songs, giving fans a peek into their personal lives. But it was the final question that truly got fans buzzing. When asked about the worst gift they'd ever received, Robbie's answer was pretty jaw-dropping.

“Very, very early in my career, an actor I worked with, a male actor, gave me a book called Why French Women Don't Get Fat," Robbie shared, with Complex even showing a photo of the actual book.

Robbie explained that the book was basically a guide to "eat less," adding that her initial reaction was, "I was like, 'Whoa, f--- you, dude.'”

When Charlie XCX wondered about the unnamed actor's whereabouts today, Robbie said, "I have no idea where he would even be now ... He essentially gave me a book to let me know that I should lose weight."

Robbie is currently promoting her highly anticipated film Wuthering Heights, a modern adaptation of Emily Brontë's 1847 novel. She stars as Catherine Earnshaw, with Euphoria'sJacob Elordi portraying Heathcliff.

Robbie has been channeling the gothic romance of Wuthering Heights for the film's world premiere and talk show appearances. She wowed in a Schiaparelli dress with a heart-shaped Cartier necklace formerly owned by Elizabeth Taylor, and at the London premiere, she wore a custom Dilara Findikoglu gown, accented with a replica bracelet crafted from Emily Brontë's hair.

Pre-sale begins for the one-night-only show tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time, while general ticket sales start on Friday. Fans can go to the band's website to sign up for alerts for when tickets go up for sale.

The English rock band formed in 2010 initially as an acoustic duo including Rowsell and Oddie. After releasing their self-titled EP that year, the band recruited Amey and Ellis to join their band full-time in 2012, and the four have been recording and performing together ever since.

Wolf Alice quickly began to climb in popularity and mainstream success with just a few short years. After releasing a handful of singles and their first official EP Blush by 2013, BBC Radio 6 Music selected the band as their single most blogged about artist in the United Kingdom. The following year, the U.K. Festival Awards named them Best Breakthrough Artist.

Their song "Moaning Lisa Smile" (2015) from their debut studio album My Love Is Cool was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance. In 2016, the popular pop rock band The 1975 invited Wolf Alice to support them while on tour across the United States.

Their second studio album Visions of a Life released in 2017, which includes some of the band's most prominent hits, such as "Don't Delete the Kisses" and "Yuk Foo." The following year, the band received the coveted Mercury Prize, which is awarded annually to a musical act from the U.K. or Ireland that released the best album.

Wolf Alice's third album Blue Weekend (2021) was also met with shining reviews from critics and the public, ultimately helping them secure the win for the 2022 Brit Music Award for Group of the Year. Their most recent album, The Clearing (2025), was compared by Rolling Stone to iconic works such as Carole King's Tapestry (1971) and Stevie Nicks' Bella Donna (1981).

Beautiful skyline views, golden sunsets and dance-worthy music is what Wolf Alice fans have to look forward to for their upcoming New York City show.

The '90s Called, and They’re Groovy: Why the Iconic Yarn-Haired Doll is Making a Funky Comeback for 2026

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:33pm

The '90s nostalgia wave just got a lot softer and much more colorful. If you spent your childhood collecting the iconic plush fashionistas with the signature yarn hair, get ready to share that magic with a new generation. Manhattan Toy has officially confirmed the relaunch of Groovy Girls, the beloved doll line that defined cool for Millennial and Gen Z kids.

Making their grand debut at the North American International Toy Fair in New York City this week, the reimagined collection proves that some toys never go out of style. The aim is the modernization of a brand that once sold over eight million dolls at its peak and generated a massive $141 million in sales.

Meet the New Squad: Five Fresh Faces Reimagined

The 2026 collection launches with five distinct characters, each designed to celebrate the diverse world kids live in today. While they maintain the signature huggable soft-body construction that made them a wholesome alternative to plastic fashion dolls in 1998, these girls have received a major glow-up.

  • Rose: A star athlete and total style icon! Whether she's crossing the finish line or hanging out with her friends, she loves rocking outfits that move with her through every activity.
  • Saige: A sweetheart with endless energy and a soft spot for all things furry. Dressed in comfy-cute leisure gear, she smiles through life with confidence and charisma.
  • Poppy: Top of her class and always ready to lend a helping hand. Her signature schooltime-chic style is as polished as her report card and perfect for after-school fun.
  • Iris: All about fun, flair, and everything pink! She twirls through life in her favorite tutu, always ready for a spontaneous dance party filled with spins and laughter.
  • Daisy: With a heart as warm as the sunshine! Daisy spends her days tending flowers in her garden, dressed in her favorite floral overalls and trusty rain boots.
High-Tech Fun Meets ‘90s Charm: The Magnetic Upgrade

While the dolls still feature those famous styleable hairstyles with bold streaks of color, Manhattan Toy has added a new feature for 2026: magnetic hands. This allows for a whole new level of interactive play, enabling the dolls to hold accessories, "hold hands" with friends, or carry their new magnetic pets.

“Groovy Girls have always been more than just dolls; they’re characters that kids connect with, stories waiting to be told,” Kelly Anderson, Vice President of Marketing at Manhattan Toy says in a statement. “We’ve designed this new collection to reflect the world kids see around them today — full of diversity, color, and possibility — while keeping the playful essence that made Groovy Girls so popular in the first place.”

From Zany Brainy to 2026: A History of Self-Expression

For those who remember the original 1998 launch, Groovy Girls were a revolutionary "anti-fashion" doll. They were soft, had diverse skin tones, and featured realistic body shapes long before it was an industry standard. Originally sold in specialty stores like Zany Brainy and Noodle Kidoodle, the brand became a global phenomenon before taking a hiatus in 2019.

The 2026 relaunch brings back "callback" items that nostalgic parents will recognize, including outfits, pets, and furniture—all updated with magnetic compatibility. It’s a calculated move to capture the "Kidult" market—parents who want to buy their children the same toys they once loved, but with a modern, inclusive twist.

How to Join the Groovy Revolution

If you’re lucky enough to be attending Toy Fair New York at the Javits Center (Feb. 14–17), you can find the new squad at Booth No. 2206. For the rest of the world, the wait won't be long. The new Groovy Girls are scheduled to hit specialty retailers and manhattantoy.com starting in May 2026. Each 13-inch posable doll is crafted for children ages 3 to 6 and will retail for a suggested price of $29.99.

'The View' Host Goes Into Labor Ahead of Live Show

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:25pm

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin had to miss the series' February 10 episode for a good reason: she was in labor with her first child.

Griffin and her husband, Justin Griffin, were reportedly at the hospital at the time of the series' 11 a.m. taping. Show host Whoopi Goldberg shared the news while the cast sat around their Hot Topics table.

PEOPLE Magazine reported Goldberg's message from the live show. She updated the audience with details of her co-hosts' hospital visit.

"She's at the hospital right now!" Goldberg told the studio audience. "And we are wishing her the best as she waits for her baby boy to arrive."

"Yeah, it's kind of fabulous!" the EGOT winner continued. "Welcome that baby!"

Griffin previously told PEOPLE, "I'm due Feb. 19, but my doctor expects he'll arrive slightly early, so it's keeping me on my toes. I'm ready for any scenario, really."

The cast of The View threw a live on-air baby shower for Griffin on February 3, 2026. The show was filled with lots of surprises for the co-host and the studio audience of expectant mothers.

“There’s a doctor, a nurse, on standby right over there. We’ve got paramedics on call,” Goldberg told the audience. “And there’s an ambulance. There’s an ambulance ready to go outside with our audience, packed with pregnant women.”

During the episode, View co-hosts Goldberg, Joy Behar,Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines all shared supportive messages to their co-host. Griffin is the youngest member of the cast, and all of her fellow panelists are mothers, and some are grandmothers.

Goldberg said in a taped message, "I think it’s going to be fun. You’re going to be very tired, but you’ll be happily tired as I’m seeing in my grandson. I can’t wait to celebrate this new person with you, and Justin, well done.”

Hostin told Griffin to "cherish these moments, even though it’s sometimes a little hard at the beginning.” Behar quipped, "You will love your baby because you fall in love with your baby, but you will not fall in love with your boobs. Your boobs will start to droop. Gravity will take over, and there’s nothing you can do about it."

Finally, Haines had these words of wisdom. "“This baby won the lottery, and I am so excited for the journey you guys are just beginning. Now, there’s a lot of things I wish I had known before I was a mom, and one of them is, don’t look at anyone else doing it, because every other parent, every other mom, specifically, is going to look like they have all the right gear. They do all the right things. They don’t. They’re just better at covering."

The View airs weekdays on ABC at 11 a.m. ET.

Pete Davidson’s Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt Credits This Postpartum Hack for ‘Saving My Life’

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:18pm

Parenting a newborn isn’t for the faint of heart, and Pete Davidson’sgirlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, is getting through it with the help of one postpartum essential: coffee!

The model shared an adorable sneak peek into her days with baby Scottie, 1 month, on Instagram, which includes plenty of cups of Peet’s Coffee. “u know how they say you sleep when the baby sleeps??” she captioned the Feb. 10 post. “having a newborn is exactly why i need half caff, thank u @peetscoffee for saving my life.”

In the first photo, a tired-looking Hewitt holds her baby girl on her shoulder with one arm wrapped around her body for support, while the other holds a mug of Peet’s Coffee. She also shared a video of her coffee cup in front of a snowy window, with Scottie making tiny squeaky sounds in the background. What a cutie!

Other posts in the carousel include Hewitt brewing and pouring her coffee into a Tony Soprano mug, and her smiling while holding her coffee and her baby. Caffeine is crucial when dealing with the constant wake-ups and stress of postpartum life, so it's no wonder her grin is so huge.

People praised Hewitt’s sweet post. “The little sounds 🥹” one person wrote. Another said, “The snow and the feels. These are the times I miss most with mine grown.”

Despite how sleep-deprived Hewitt is no doubt feeling, she is already wanting to expand her brood. In a January interview with Us Weekly, Hewitt and Davidson said they want another baby.

“We want her to have a friend, for sure,” Davidson said. “We love the idea of her being a big sister.”

Hewitt chimed in, adding that she can’t believe they are “already [thinking] about having another one.” She added, “The idea of that sounds absolutely insane right now. … The process of giving birth is so insane, but so empowering once it happens. Just having this little thing, I really can’t explain how incredible the whole thing is.”

“The idea of making another one and making a sibling is something I’ve already been like, ‘I want to do it again.’ They’re so tiny when they come out, and they grow so fast. It’s crazy,” she went on.

Scottie was born on Dec. 12. A few days later, Hewitt shared sweet pictures of her and Davidson cuddling and kissing their bundle of joy. She wrote in the caption, “my best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief,” while Davidson added, “wu tang forever.”

The DWTSpros were married in 2018 and divorced in 2023. However, they've publicly talked about how they're on good terms.

“When you’re with someone for so many years, it kind of becomes family, whether you’re with them or you’re not,” Farber said on Gia Guidice's podcast in January. “At the end of the day, we’re still supportive of each other. And at the end of the day, I want her to be happy, and I wish them nothing but the best.”

Slater has been dating Bersten since April of 2025 when they seemingly hard launched their relationship with a kiss during a DWTS tour stop. Farber is currently single but dated his Season 33 parter and Bachelorette star Jenn Tran from 2024-2025.

The video comes a few hours after DWTS announced a fan convention that will take place over the summer.

"It’s happening if your a fan of @dancingwiththestars it doesn’t get much better then this!!!" Farber wrote of the announcement that took place on Good Morning America. "Our first convention!!!"

Farber did not compete in Season 34 of DWTS, while Slater and Bersten both did.

"Beautiful multi-function kitchen towels," said one fan in a five-star review on Sam's Club's website. "Theses kitchen towels are beautifully made, but they are 100% cotton except for the design. The pack comes with eight, so I like to have two in use at a time. Since half are quilted, I just fold them and give them different uses. Towels, pot holders, dish drying, kitchen accent. They are large and well worth the money. These are an amazing buy."

"These hand towels are both stylish and practical. They look really pretty hanging in my kitchen. They are both soft and very absorbent. I've washed them several times already and they've held up extremely well. They have not faded shrink or frayed," said another fan in a five-star review on Sam's Club's website.

You can find these kitchen towel sets on Sam's Club's website and in select Sam's Club stores. Through Feb. 22, the kitchen towel sets are on sale for $11.86, down from the regular price of $14.86. Note that prices may vary online and in-store.

Iconic '80s Rock Band Released Debut Album 48 Years Ago Today

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 12:07pm

Forty-eight years ago today — Feb. 10, 1978 — a young hard-rock band from Pasadena, California, exploded onto the music scene with a self-titled debut that would help reshape the sound of rock for generations.

Van Halen's first album, Van Halen, arrived with a surge of energy and swagger. Powered by Eddie Van Halen’s jaw-dropping guitar work and David Lee Roth’s charismatic vocals, the record was an instant game-changer, blending technical prowess with party-ready hooks. Songs like "Runnin' with the Devil," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" and the seismic instrumental "Eruption" showcased a band that was supremely confident, wildly creative, and undeniably fun.

Critics at the time took notice — and so did music lovers. Billboard ran a glowing review of the album in early 1978: "Paced by Netherland-born Alex and Edward Van Halen, along with California’s Michael Anthony on bass and Dave Lee Roth’s lead vocals, this quartet plays some of the most intense rock n’ roll you’ll hear. Its fiery brand of bar room, small club loud driving rock contains some blistering guitar riffs by Edward Van Halen along with the powerful bass riffs of Anthony. Roth’s vocals never quit. The album’s first single, a remake of the Kinks' "You Really Got Me," is already climbing the Hot 100."

The album didn’t just top charts; it became a cultural moment, launching Van Halen into rock superstardom and influencing countless guitarists and bands that followed.

Decades on, the album still feels electric. It’s a staple on classic rock radio, a favorite among guitar students, and a benchmark for debut records across genres. On this anniversary, fans and music writers alike are reflecting on what makes Van Halen so enduring: bold songwriting, blistering musicianship and that unmistakable sense of joy that only a great rock record can deliver.

FBI Director Kash Pateltook to X to share a series of photos of a masked individual.

"Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors — including the removal of recording devices," he captioned the update.

"The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems. Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance."

On Feb. 1, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) launched its search for Nancy, who was last seen on the evening of Jan. 31, at her home. The PCSD declared her residence a crime scene, determining that Nancy was “taken” from her residence “against her will.” Law enforcement also confirmed that the blood discovered at the home belonged to her.

Since then, investigators have returned to Savannah’s mom’s home multiple times to search for evidence. A video of a vehicle of interest was submitted to law enforcement, in addition to agents finding a camera on the roof of Nancy’s home. The FBI also added digital billboards across several states in hopes of obtaining more leads.

Multiple alleged ransom notes surfaced in the meantime, and Nancy’s family sent several public video messages to the captors. A Feb. 7 video featured Savannah saying, “We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.”

The Today co-anchor added, “This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

On Feb. 9, just hours before the second ransom deadline, Savannah posted a video on Instagram to fans, thanking them for their prayers on behalf of herself and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie.

“We believe our mom is still out there,” Savannah said. “We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken, and we don’t know where.”

She reiterated, “We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help.”

Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Old Spice Releases New 'Mario'-Inspired Collection

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 11:52am

We're still a few weeks away from the release of Illumination's The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, but already Old Spice is getting in on the excitement with their new line of limited-edition Nintendo-inspired products.

According to a press release shared with us over email, the fan-favorite bathing product company is releasing a new collection of deodorants, sprays, body wash, shampoos, conditioners and other items themed after the hit Mario franchise.

"We know guys are constantly looking to break the boring cycle of their daily routines, and this collaboration replaces the 'daily grind' with pure nostalgia and legendary scents, infusing undeniable fun and adventure into grooming routines," the company said in their announcement.

As part of the new collection, Old Spice is officially introducing four new scents based on Nintendo's long-running Mario series. While the exact scent profiles of each product isn't yet clear, the four new scents specifically include the following:

  • SuperMario Cosmic Quest: "For the leader of the pack."
  • Luigi Desert Detour: "Fresh, crisp, and ready for adventure."
  • Peach Castle Crush: "A celestial citrus scent that commands the room."
  • Bowser Jr. Space Mischief: "For those who like to play by their own rules."

"Whether you're navigating chaotic 'boss battles' of adulthood or embarking on a literal quest, this lineup ensures you maintain super fresh 24/7," Old Spice went on to say of the new lineup. "They’re the only out-of-this-world products that unite two universally recognized brands, tapping into a deep sense of sentimentality and play."

Old Spice's new collection arrives just shy of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie's release on April 1. Starring Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black and Charlie Day, the film acts as a direct sequel to the events of 2023's The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which itself acted as a loose adaptation of Nintendo's sweeping Mario franchise.

'80s Pop King Releases New Single and Fans Say It's 'What the World Needs Now'

Tue, 02/10/2026 - 11:52am

We're no strangers to new music. You know the rules, and so do I. And a new single is what Rick Astley is what he's thinking of—you wouldn't get it from any other guy.

In the bleak times of 2026, Rick Astley—who terminally online Millennials will always cherish, thanks to "Rick Rolling"—came through with a little bit of hope. "So excited for the release of my new song 'Waiting On You,'" Astley wrote on Feb. 6, while sharing a video of him performing on TikTok.

"Have you been waiting? Well, you're getting it anyway! I love it, and I hope you do too. Rick x," he added.

So excited for the release of my new song ‘Waiting On You’. Have you been waiting ? Well you’re getting it anyway! I love it and I hope you do too. Rick x #newmusic

♬ Waiting On You - Rick Astley

"Real music from a true gentleman. Just what the world needs now and forever," commented one fan. "Waiting for this song was totally worth it! It's got such a great vibe—I've already added it to my playlist," said another. "I'm always happy to get Rick Rolled," said another.

Astley released "Waiting On You" on his 60th birthday. "The beauty of having a guitar older than I am is that it makes me play, write and feel everything differently," he said about the release, per Classic Pop. "This track has a feeling of a decade long ago, lyrically and style wise. It's been great to jump into new music but with an old heart at the centre of it."

Rick Astley experienced success in the late 1980s with the release of his debut album, Whenever You Need Somebody, in 1987. His first single, "Never Gonna Give You Up," reached No. 1 in more than 25 countries, including the U.S., where it topped the Billboard Hot 100.

With its opening drumbeat, heavy synthesizers, and Astley's unmistakable voice, it was a massive hit—but one that became reviled almost as soon as it became beloved. VH1 once named it one of the "50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs… Ever," per Mel Magazine, likely because of how it was so mired in the year it was released.

Then, twenty years later, people on the Internet started to "Rick Roll"—a bait-and-switch prank where you link to something that seems important, but it leads directly to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." The prank ultimately had the opposite effect: it reintroduced Rick Astley to a new generation who discovered that "Never Gonna Give You Up" kinda slaps.

Also, the success of "Never Gonna Give You Up" was so great that it's easy to call Rick Astley a one-hit wonder, but that's an incorrect label. He topped the Hot 100 again in 1988 with "Together Forever." However, the song's all-too-similar sound to "Never Gonna Give You Up" didn't do Rick any favors.
