Allison Holker Celebrates Birthday in a Bikini Poolside With Her Love

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 4:11pm

Dancing with the Stars alum Allison Holker celebrated her 38th birthday in style with a day in the sun with her love, Adam Edmunds. The dancer shared some photos from the special day, looking stunning as she relaxed poolside in a chic bikini.

In the first photo, Holker posed in the chic swimsuit, which was white with blue floral patterns all over. She added a necklace and dark sunglasses as the sun shone brightly from above. Other photos in the post showed off more of the bikini, while one depicted Holker and Edmunds sharing a kiss, with the latter wearing swim shorts, no shirt, and a baseball cap.

Holker captioned the update, "It’s my Birthday! I am officially 38! 💙🩵🤍."

"Adam treated me to a perfect day in the sun ☀️!" she went on, concluding with the sweet note, "I am so grateful to all my years of life experiences and memories … looking forward to another beautiful year spent with the ones I love."

Check out Holker's sun-filled birthday photos here.

Friends and fans took to the comments to wish Holker a happy birthday and compliment her on the new photos.

Kind comments included, "Happy Birthday Allison ..Wishing you always love and laughter as you celebrate another year around the sun," and "You deserve it! Happy birthday gorgeous gal 😍."

A third wrote, "Happy birthday. Enjoy your day and year. Hoping life will continue to bring you joy and happiness 💕."

Others praised Holker with a range of compliments, such as "You are such a stunner!!", "Those abs!!", and "You are such an inspiration to me."

Another shared how stunned they were to learn Holker's age, writing, "Happy Birthday, omg 38?? you are more beautiful than ever 😍👏🏼🥳♥️."

While Holker didn't go into detail about everything she did for her birthday, she appeared to have a fun, relaxing day with Edmonds. The two revealed their romance in late 2024, around two years after Holker's husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, died by suicide in December 2022.

Many fans are very supportive of Holker's new romance, and she continues to share updates about both Edmonds and life with her three children on social media.

A Cult-Favorite Cookware Brand Is About to Upgrade Your Next Pizza Night

Make-your-own pizza night is one of those things that's fun even if it's a weekly tradition. Handling the dough, stretching it out, and pretending for a second that you know exactly what you're doing is all part of it. Then comes the best part: choosing your toppings. Go classic, go chaotic, pile it high or keep it simple. Because on homemade pizza night, everyone gets exactly what they want.

Plus, the moment you get to grab your pizza straight from the oven feels like a small victory. That first slice, when the cheese is bubbling, and the crust is still crackling? Dinner becomes an event instead of just another meal. That said, using the right pizza pan is critical in achieving a restaurant-level pie. A quality pan helps heat circulate evenly, which is key to getting that crispy, golden crust you usually only expect from your favorite pizzeria.

Caraway recently launched its new Bakeware+ Collection, which basically builds on the original Bakeware Set that fans of the brand have been raving about for ages. It includes a pizza pan that is 100 percent c'est magnifique.

Bakeware+ Collection, $275 at Caraway

While the full Bakeware+ Collection includes the aforementioned pizza pan, cookie sheet (that's also to die for, in my humble opinion), pie pan, 24-cup mini muffin pan, fluted cake pan and pie pan, you have the option to buy individual pieces à la carte.

The pizza pan, for example, costs $65 when purchased on its own and, just like the set, comes in nine different gorgeous colorways. I'm partial to the Perracotta because I'm a pink girlie, but each available hue is a stunner.

So, how does the Caraway Pizza Pan hold up when put to use? My homemade pie turned out crisp, bubbly and downright delectable. Take a peek at the finished product (not that I'm bragging or anything).

Kelly Bryant

Now I prefer a doughier crust, but when I tell you there was no soggy-bottom action here, I mean it. And what might be even better than the pan delivering on an epic pie is that it's so easy to clean. That's thanks to Caraway's non-toxic coating and non-stick ceramic goodness. This pan is oven-safe up to 550°F, so you can achieve a pizzeria-style result without ordering in.

You don't have to take my word for how well the pizza pan works. The accolades are already pouring in from Caraway customers in the reviews section. In fact, one person nearly took the words right out of my mouth.

"I did not think I needed another pizza tool … until I used the Pizza Crisper from Caraway Home," they wrote. "The difference is unreal. The crust actually gets crispy on the bottom (no soggy center), but the top still cooks perfectly without drying everything out. It heats evenly and gives that pizzeria-style finish at home—especially for sourdough or thin crust. What I love most is that it's non-toxic, non-stick, and super easy to clean."

Go ahead, order your favorite colorway and elevate your next at-home pizza night in the very best way.

2000s Rock Band Announces First Album in 13 Years

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:57pm

The wait is finally over.

Karnivool revealed that their fourth studio album, In Verses, is out now on all streaming platforms. This is the rock band's first LP in 13 years, with their last project being Asymmetry in 2013.

"Today feels surreal; it’s an echo of thirteen years caught in one moment. We weren’t sure we would be here, and we sure as [explicit] didn’t think you guys would be here to listen to it ;)," the band wrote in their Instagram caption. "We never had the intention or desire for such a long silence, if you felt it like a slowly boiling pot, thank you. Thank you for sharing the process. If this is all new to you, thank you for being apart of this new feeling with us."

Back in May 2019, Karnivool revealed that they were working on and recording their fourth album. Two years later, they released the lead single, "All It Takes," and a second song, "Drone," in June 2025. In addition, "Aozora," "Opal" and "Animation" were put out before the full album.

In Verses has ten tracks, including a collaboration with Guthrie Govan and a remastered version of "All It Takes." All of the songs were written by band members Drew Goddard, Mark Hosking, Steve Judd, Ian Kenny and Jon Stockman. Many of the tracks were produced by the band's longtime collaborator, Forrester Savell.

Karnivool was formed in 1997 by Kenny in Perth, Australia, and started by playing covers of Nirvana and Carcass songs at parties. Over the first six years, the group went through multiple lineup changes before releasing their debut self-titled EP. A second EP, titled Persona, was released in March 2001.

After signing with Bieler Bros./MGM, the Australian rock band released their first studio album, Themata, in February 2005. Four years later, Sound Awake was put out via Cymatic Records and Sony Music.

Despite the 13-year hiatus, fans and friends of Karnivool expressed their excitement and messages of support poured in for the group.

"Great things should never be rushed," musician Rabea Massaad wrote. "Congrats on a new chapter ❤️🔥."

"13 years ago, I cried listening to Asymmetry, and I cried today listening to In Verses," a fan expressed. "You are THE band for me, nobody else will ever get close."

"I'm listening right now. I had forgotten that feeling of the first listening to a new Karnivool album. It sounds so amazing," another fan wrote.

One user commented, "Congrats boys. Cant wait to dig in 🔥."

"Spinning this immediately," UK musician Connor Kaminski commented. "Congrats ❤️."

Aaron Marshall from Interverals commented. "Congratulations fellas 🥂. Can’t wait to share the road and the stage in the spring 🙏♥️." Intervals will be opening for Karnivool's upcoming spring tour around Europe, which starts this April.

Hoda Kotb Pulls Out of the Olympics Amid Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Mom

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:53pm

Hoda Kotb will no longer be traveling to Milan to cover the Winter Olympics amid the ongoing search for Savannah Guthrie's missing mom Nancy.

According to People, the former TODAY Show anchor will remain in the U.S. with Craig Melvin, who also canceled his plans to go to the Olympics this week.

The outlet reports that Saturday Today co-anchor Peter Alexander will take Kotb's place, while NBC Sports' Ahmed Fareed is replacing Melvin and NBC sportscaster Mary Carillo is covering for Savannah.

On Friday, Feb. 6, Kotb made her first return to TODAY following her retirement in January 2025 and addressed Nancy's disappearance.

“This whole thing is breaking my heart and I’m happy to be sitting here with you,” Kotb said to Melvin, Carson Daly, and Sheinelle Jones. “I picture Savannah sitting there. I just want to say good morning and everybody’s hoping and praying for Nancy’s safe return.”

While chatting with her colleagues, Kotb reflected on the times Savannah was there for them as they faced personal struggles.

“We’re all so close with her, we all want to help her,” she said. “I’m looking at us and I was thinking, ‘Who was first in the hospital when [my daughter] Hope was sick? Savannah. Who hopped on a plane when [Carson Daly’s] parents [died]? Savannah. Who was sitting by [Sheinelle’s late husband] Uche [Ojeh]’s side? How about when your brother passed, [Craig]? She was there.'”

While covering the Olympics opening ceremony, sports commentator Terry Gannon joined Carillo and began the live broadcast by offering well wishes to Savannah.

“That is exactly what it takes to bring you the Olympics, a team and we are certainly without a very important, beloved member of our team tonight: Our friend and colleague Savannah Guthrie,”Gannon said while holding back tears. “She is dearly missed by everybody here.”

“She sure is, she’s covered so many Olympics, hasn’t she?” Carillo added. “And she loves them. Right now, of course Savannah and her family are in unspeakable, unfathomable pain. We know in the U.S. that her extended family is legion. Savannah, my friend, it’s the same way here.”

The FBI is currently working on Nancy's case and urges anyone with tips or leads to call 1-800-CALL-FBI in addition to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office number, 520-351-4900.

1972 Film Ranked Best ‘Cult-Classic Movie’ of All Time

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:51pm

The best "cult classic" film of all time, according to HowStuffWorks, is one of John Waters' iconic works.

The website published a list last week of the top 13 films that may not have made it big in the box office, but have "built cult status through obsession, repeat viewing and word of mouth" over the years, and this 1972 work found itself in the No. 1 spot above other notable films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Fight Club(1999) and Jennifer's Body (2009)—films that have built dedicated fanbases and have influenced film culture by their own merit since they were each released.

But the most influential and sustaining film of them all, by HowStuffWorks' standards, was chosen to be Pink Flamingos (1972), the first work in Waters' "Trash Trilogy" series.

Pink Flamingos, starring the legendary drag queen and actor Divine, follows the outrageously infamous Babs Johnson, a Baltimore outlaw living in a trailer with her eccentric family and fiercely defending her title as the “Filthiest Person Alive.” When rival criminals Connie and Raymond Marble set out to dethrone her by committing increasingly grotesque acts for profit and notoriety, the film escalates into a deliberately shocking feud driven by provocation and absurdity.

When the film was first released in 1972, it received wildly mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the film for its shock factor and for how entertaining it was, while others found it to be appalling and grotesque. The film was even banned in Switzerland and Australia, as well as some parts of Canada and Norway—still, the cult following the film received was unlike any other piece of work, appealing greatly to the LGBTQ+ community in particular.

In its explanation for why it ranked Pink Flamingos as the No. 1 cult classic movie of all time, HowStuffWorks wrote: "Its refusal to compromise created lifelong devotion among fans who valued rebellion over comfort."

The film's influence has seeped into many different parts of the entertainment industry beyond just film. Parts of the film were sampled by death metal band Skinless in their songs "Merrie Melody" and "Pool of Stool."

While plans for a sequel film were initially in the works, they were ultimately scrapped when Divine refused to be a part of it, and Edith Massey, who played Babs' mother Edie, passed away in 1984.

"Anderson County has been proud to host Rock the Country for the past two years. The event was a huge success drawing tens of thousands of visitors, making a multi-million-dollar economic impact on the Upstate," Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns shared in a statement to WYFF4.

"An event of this caliber proved what a great venue and exceptional hospitality we have here in Anderson County," he added. "Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not return to Anderson this year."

Though no reason given for the cancellation of the two-day event, originally scheduled for July 25 and 26, Burns says local fans will still have plenty to look forward to. "We are already planning additional major events and look forward to exciting announcements to come, he added. "Anderson County is committed to bringing high quality arts and entertainment to our community."

For their part, Rock The Country organizers have not yet issued a statement or responded to Parade's request for comment. The event website has been updated to no longer show the South Carolina dates, and where it once said "8 massive shows, 8 small towns," it now only says 7.

The updated lineup also revealed that several acts will no longer perform, including Creed, Ludacris,Morgan Wade, and Carter Faith. Though none of those artists have commented on their disappearance from the lineup, Shinedown shared a clear reason for dropping out.

“Our purpose is to unite, not divide," they wrote on Instagram. "We have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock The Country festival.”

The event seemed to be a go as recently as three days earlier, when rock band Staindposted, "Anderson [rock hand emoji href="https://parade.com/living/emoji-meanings"] Excited to Rock The Country with you this summer. ‘90s Neotraditional Country Star, 67, Recalls the Injury That Forced Toby Keith to Miss a Concert

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:34pm

Toby Keith passed away on Feb. 5, 2024, but his larger-than-life presence is still felt, and his memory lives on for his family, friends, and fans two years later. The country icon’s legacy continues not only through music, but through stories shared by his fellow artists, who often reminisce over the good times they had with the late “As Good as I Once Was” hitmaker before his untimely death.

Such is the case for Aaron Tippin, who laughs when he recalls one particular fond — and slightly painful — memory of a past time he shared with Keith — a time when the Okie broke his ankle. For Tippin, the memory, while fuzzy, finds him insisting, Keith broke his leg.

Toby Keith Spontaneously Decided to Suit up and Play Some Football

While appearing on Taste of Country Nights, Tippin said the incident occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During a visit to a nearby college, Keith mustered the guts to suit up, get out on the field, and join athletes in football practice.

"Me and Tobe [Toby] worked together quite a bit. I’ll tell you a Toby story,” Tippin began. “We were in Tulsa, where he went to college, and he decided he was going to dress out with the football team, and so he did."

Tippin notes that Keith didn’t just observe, he fully participated in the practice, a move that would remind him that “He had forgotten he’d gained a few years.”

"He practiced with them, and he got his leg broken,” Tippin shared, adding that “He missed the show that night; then for the rest of the tour, he was sitting on an old stool. He had forgotten he’d gained a few years."

Despite the Injury, Toby Keith Had No Regrets

Per the outlet, a 1994 article by the Chicago Tribune provides more details on the past incident, clarifying that Keith did indeed break his ankle. The report also notes that despite the cost of having fun on the field, Keith had no regrets about the injury.

"It’s been a fantasy for me to suit up with the Big Red and play with the great alumni," Keith said at the time.

Beyond that particular memory, Tippin revealed that he and Keith never really were competitive with each other. Instead, he joked, “In the early days, he opened some shows for me, but then he passed me like I was going backwards.”

As previously noted, Keith died on Feb. 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was 62.  Before his death, he enjoyed a remarkable 30-year career, which included 40 million albums sold, 32 No. 1 hits, and various monumental awards and accolades.

Country Singer and Acclaimed Screen Star Announces First Solo Album in 7 Years

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:20pm

Rita Wilson, country singer and acclaimed Hollywood actress, is officially coming back with her first new solo album since 2019's Halfway to Home. The new record, titled Sound of a Woman, is set to come out on May 1.

The lead single and title track, "Sound of a Woman," is already out, dropping on Feb. 6 along with an official music video. The emotional ballad gives fans a hint of what's to come on the highly anticipated new album.

"Sound of a Woman" was co-written by Wilson and Grammy Award winner Amy Wadge, who previously worked with other major artists like Kacey Musgraves and Alicia Keys.

Wilson, who is married to actor Tom Hanks, talked a bit about what the song means to her in a press release shared with Parade, saying, "I’ve come to a stage in my life where I’m only now just finding my voice, both metaphorically and literally."

"Finally, I asked myself, ‘Does anyone actually know what I think or how I feel about anything?’" she went on. "Understanding and accepting that everything that life has thrown at me, as painful as some of it has been, has brought me to a place where I am more fully myself. I don’t think I am unique in that experience.”

View this post on Instagram

Wilson's upcoming album is described as "an impassioned suite of songs that follow the arc of a woman’s life, charting all the triumphs and missteps and unseen turning points leading to the radical awakening of full-fledged womanhood."

Fans will have to wait and see exactly what's in store on the new album in May, although Wilson is likely to tease more in the time leading up to its release.

Sound of a Woman might be Wilson's first solo record in seven years, but her last album release was Now & Forever: Duets, which came out in late 2022 and is filled with impactful duets with music icons like Smokey Robinson, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, and more.

11 'Healthy' Snacks From the 2000s That Were Actually Just Sugar

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:15pm

Every decade comes with a lineup of pop culture moments that, in today's day and age, float back up to the surface thanks to the World Wide Web. We're thankful for those moments, especially during a time when nostalgia wraps us in a warm embrace, reminding us of time's past.

Nothing takes us back to the millennial heydays like food, making us wish we could enjoy our favorite snacks just one more time—even if just a bite. The packaging and flavors, and textures and smells of these snacks brim up some of the most deeply buried nostalgic memories, reminding us of unpacking lunches in a dimly lit cafeteria, throwing together a meal of snacks from the pantry on a snow day, or those times when we hit up the gas station for a pack of Fruit Stripe gum and a bottle of the latest Fruitopia flavor.

They also bring us back to the days of watching their silly (read: cringey) commercials and listening to earworm-style marketing jingles between episodes of Daria and Total Request Live.

The late '90s and early 2000s were a time when many packaged snacks were touted as "healthy," conveniently labeled as low-fat, fat-free or low-calorie. Diet culture made us believe this meant all-you-can-eat, when in reality, many of these now-nostalgic treats were packed with sugar. With age comes wisdom, and we have now accepted the fact that just because something is fruit-flavored doesn't mean it actually contains fruit.

Many of our favorite snacks from the early aughts hold a special place in our hearts, though—especially those that are no longer found on supermarket shelves. (I'm looking at you, Kudos.) And even though the nutrition facts panel didn't offer much from a protein, fiber or vitamins and minerals perspective, if they came back, they'd still offer us a look back on our childhood, a feeling that is simply irreplaceable.

A quick scroll through social media displays just how important snack memories are to Millennials. Snackwell's cookies, Yogos, Trix yogurt and Kudos bars were among the top recollections, which, thanks to genius marketing tactics, had us thinking we were making a nutritious choice when we tossed them into a brown paper bag.

Let's take a trip down memory lane to explore a collection of late '90s/early 2000s snacks that will always be kind of sentimental.

Snackwell's Devil's Food Cookies

melissamn / Shutterstock.com

The infamous fat-free devil's food cookies, dressed in a St. Patrick's Day green package, stood out like a sore thumb. This snack was one of Nabisco's first cookie lines, designed to make parents feel they were offering their kids—and themselves—a healthier treat.

Each ganache and marshmallow-coated chocolate cookie was made from several types of sugar and hydrogenated oil. Even though it appears they've now reformulated—removing hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup from their cookies—we'll never forget the choke-hold this snack brand had on diet culture.

100 Calorie Packs

While 100 Calorie Packs are still readily available at most grocery stores, when they first dropped in 2004, they were all the rage. In Kraft Foods' first year of launching these miniature snack packs, they reportedly generated $75 million in sales.

With flavors like Oreo and Chips Ahoy! Thin Crisps and Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Nutter Butter bars, these portion-controlled snacks offered people a taste of their favorite treat without "going overboard" on calories. Unfortunately, most of these snacks offered a dose of sugar without much nourishment, leaving snackers hungrier than when they first pulled open the bag.

Cereal was a lifestyle in the late '90s/early 2000s. My favorite childhood cereals—including Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cookie Crisp—are near and dear to me. I still enjoy a bowl of the available options now and then, just for that little taste of nostalgia.

But back in the day, cereal companies spent a lot of money transforming their products into a health halo. While there were (and are today) many nutritionally dense cereals on the market, there were a ton of varieties that could have used a boost of fiber and protein and less sugar overall. By the way, does anyone else remember Magix cereal?

Kudos Bars View this post on Instagram

Debuting in 1986 but peaking in popularity in the '90s, Kudos Bars were one of those snacks that made your eyes light up when you noticed mom had packed one in your Wild Thornberrys-themed lunch box. They were developed to offer a "healthier" candy bar, but contained nine times as much sugar as protein and fiber. While earlier versions offered flavors such as nutty fudge, chocolate chip, and peanut butter, later varieties featured fan-favorite candy flavors, notably M&M's, Snickers and Dove Chocolate.

"Kudos Bars were a banger. I can't believe they're not around anymore," said one Reddit user. "You know, in hindsight, maybe these weren't the healthiest snack," responded another person. And they're not wrong—there's certainly a place for sweet treats in a well-balanced diet, but the marketing sure deceived us.

Trix Yogurt View this post on Instagram

"Trix yogurt used to be the bomb back in the day—cotton candy and strawberry punch were my 2 favorites," said one Reddit fan. Others noted that it's still available at some big-box stores. Regardless, peeling back the top on one of these cups to reveal the mix of brightly colored, creamy yogurt was a highlight of our childhood. Yoplait really hit the mark on this one, given kids loved the Trix cereal bunny and were delighted to see it adorned on a "new" snack like yogurt.

Milk 'n Cereal Bars

In the early 2000s, General Mills came out with Milk 'n Cereal Bars that were designed for kids and adults alike who needed a quick, no-cook breakfast option that resembled a bowl of cereal with milk, but could be enjoyed in the car on the way to school. I clearly remember consuming the Honey Nut Cheerios, Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch versions (and let's be honest—they were delicious), but after looking back on the ingredients list, it appears the "milk filling" was simply not the same as drinking a glass of milk.

I will give it to them, though—they fortified these bars with 13 vitamins and minerals, so all was not lost. And while a similar product remains on shelves, super fans claim they're not even remotely the same as the original.

Heinz EZ Squirt Ketchup View this post on Instagram

Not a snack, per se, but it deserves a spot on this list, as we were drizzling this green, purple, blue, pink, teal and orange condiment on just about everything. With names like Blastin' Green, Funky Purple, Stellar Blue, Passion Pink, Totally Teal and Awesome Orange, kids couldn't resist tossing a bottle of this stuff in the shopping cart, hoping our parents wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, this artificial-dye-filled sauce was removed from shelves in 2006.

While I sadly don't remember these little yogurt-covered fruit snacks, apparently, many Millennials on social media do. Launched in the early 2000s, they offered snack-size packs in flavors such as Crazy Berries, Strawberry Slam, and Berry-Berry Banana, with a colorful shell and a chewy interior. Kids went wild for them, but ultimately, they were discontinued in 2006 because parents deemed them not so healthy after all.

Quaker Instant Oatmeal Sea Adventures View this post on Instagram

Instant oatmeal was a game-changer in the world of convenience breakfasts. Flavors expanded beyond staples like maple and brown sugar to Quaker's Sea Adventures, turning the first meal of the day into a full-blown activity. Blue clumps were mixed into the instant oatmeal, which, when heated, revealed divers and sea creatures. These little morsels were, of course, filled with sugar and turned your oats blue. (How rad!) Sadly, Quaker discontinued it in 2001.

While peanuts and peanut butter in their natural form are nutrient-dense foods, many peanut butter varieties contain added sugar and hydrogenated oils to make them more palatable and shelf-stable. With the '90s and early 2000s being the peak of convenience food product development, Skippy launched Squeeze Stix—peanut butter that came in a pouch that could be consumed as a snack, right out of the tube.

In the comments section of a TikTok video replaying an old-school commercial for the snack, one person replied, "We were really eating peanut butter like Gogurt." And you know—that's not a bad thing, but in this case, we're thankful there are healthier options available on the shelves these days.

Cereal Straws View this post on Instagram

Cereal Straws were brought to life in the early 2000s as a way for kids to "play with their food," essentially. Kids love interactive activities, especially when it comes to eating, so the marketing on this product was impressive. With a slogan of "dip, sip, munch", the concept of the straws was to stick it in the cereal bowl, sip the milk, then munch on the straw when you were done. They were available in Cocoa Krispies, Apple Jacks and Froot Loops flavors, all with a sweet, milky center.

In 2009, Kellogg's and other snack and cereal companies faced pressure from consumers to reduce marketing of sugary foods to children. So, they nixed Cereal Straws from their lineup. However, a modernized version appears to be available at many popular retailers as of 2025.

Beverages

I'd be disappointed in myself if I didn't mention some of the fan-favorite beverages from the '90s that provided countless sugar highs. Genius marketing strategies led us to believe that fruit-flavored or sparkling water beverages were almost always a nutritious option—better than soda, at a minimum.

A few notable brands include Fruitopia, Snapple, Clearly Canadian, Brisk Iced Tea, Sunny Delight, Yoo-Hoo and, of course, SoBe Lifewater. One Reddit user recalls purchasing bottles of SoBe Lifewater for $1.88 a pop out of their school's vending machine—in many cases, SoBe and Fruitopia replaced soda as a "healthier" option.

View this post on Instagram

While I kid about the amount of sugar in some of these beloved snacks from our childhood, the marketing trickery is what really stands out. Looking back, we were just happy our parents kept us fed, doing the best they knew how. Reminiscing about these treats provides us the opportunity to appreciate a seemingly simpler, carefree time—you just had to be there.

International Clash Day Celebrated 23 Years After Punk Hero's Death

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:12pm

Joe Strummer died of a heart attack on Dec. 22, 2002, at the age of 50, yet the music he made with the Clash, as a solo artist, and his last band the Mescaleros lives on today.

The punk icon and his best-known band is being honored on International Clash Day, Feb. 6 by Seattle public radio station KEXP, available for streaming worldwide at KEXP.org, with songs by the Clash and like-minded artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Billy Bragg, Bad Bunny and more throughout the day. Interspersed with the music, the station is playing audio clips from Bragg, Tom Morello and others talking about the impact of the Clash on their music and their continuing importance.

International Clash Day was founded on Feb. 7, 2013, by KEXP morning DJ John Richards. On his show this year, Richards acknowledged it’s a made-up holiday, like all holidays, and in the do-it-yourself spirit of punk rock, he encouraged listeners to invent their own holidays.

“We started International Clash Day on the Morning Show over a dozen years ago, more or less on a whim. We just got on a roll playing Clash songs, and didn't want to stop. Simple as that — good music sounds good, so keep playing it,” Richards wrote in a post on the KEXP website.

“But it struck a chord with the listeners. Clearly, there was something bigger going on. So we did it again the next year, and the year after that. The thing kept growing, until we eventually put together a whole international trip complete with a dozen Live on KEXP sessions with favorites like IDLES and Ibibio Sound Machine, and we had civic and world leaders making official proclamations for International Clash Day: the Mayor of Toronto, the Governor of Washington State, Katy Perry's boyfriend, etc.,” he added

This year’s theme of International Clash Day is Know Your Rights!, named after the Clash song featured on the group’s most-commercially successful album, 1982’s Combat Rock. The theme and International Clash Day have seemingly gained even more urgency in the wake of the siege on Minneapolis by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the subsequent protests and deaths of Alex Pretti and Renée Good.

Along with such Clash classics as “Know Your Rights” and “Somebody Got Murdered,” KEXP DJs are playing such recently release protest songs such as Springsteen’s “Streets of Minneapolis” and Bragg’s “City of Heroes,” as well as protest songs by such artists as Prince, the Chicks, Jesse Welles, Woody Guthrie and others.

Lola Young Will Return to the Stage Following Her Mental Health Hiatus

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 3:12pm

British singer Lola Young is preparing to return to live performance after taking a necessary hiatus to focus on her mental health and overall well-being—a decision that marked a turning point in both her personal life and burgeoning music career. The musician, best-known for her Grammy Award-winning hit "Messy," has announced she will headline an intimate show at The London Palladium on March 4, 2026, marking her first full concert since her break, and a highly anticipated return following several months away from touring and performing.

"I'm going to be playing my first headline show in a while," she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. "Performing live is everything to me, and asking you, my fans, to show up for me after canceling my tour is something I don't take for granted."

She added that the "small, intimate show" will only be a one-off, and she won't be able to accommodate tickets for everyone who bought them previously.

"I can only hope that, in time, when I'm able to play bigger shows, that you'll still be willing," she continued. "If you're interested, please click on the website link in my bio to sign up and enter. Thank you all so much for believing in me and giving me this time and space. Love you all."

View this post on Instagram

Young's break came after a scary onstage collapse in September 2025 during a performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City. The incident forced her to cancel the remainder of her scheduled tour dates and step back from public life. At the time, she took to social media to explain that she was "going away for a while" in order to work on herself and return stronger, asking her fans for understanding and support.

Throughout her hiatus, Young has been candid about the importance of prioritizing mental health in the demanding music industry. In press remarks at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she delivered a live piano rendition of "Messy," she spoke openly about the challenges she faced and what the break has meant for her recovery. She also won her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for "Messy," underscoring both her artistic talent and the emotional resonance of her comeback.

Popular '90s Rock Band Quietly Disappears From Kid Rock's Music Festival Lineup

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:59pm

Beloved '90s rock band Creed quietly disappeared from the lineup of Kid Rock's upcoming Rock The Countrymusic festival, and fans are taking notice on Feb. 6. Shinedown and Ludacris also cancelled their planned appearances for the seven-stop run across seven states, scheduled to begin in May 2026.

While neither Kid Rock nor Creed, which features current members Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall, has acknowledged the "Higher" performers dropping out of the event, fans noticed their absence from the lineup on the Rock The Country website, though they previously appeared as headliners on a graphic from January.

The "One Last Breath" artists were set to appear at the Anderson, SC, stop of the limited tour, but the entire event for that weekend has since been cancelled, as Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns told WYFF4 on Feb. 6. No specific reason for the cancellation was given.

While Creed has been mum about the situation, 2000s rock band Shinedown was clear about their reasons for dropping out of the event in a statement released on Feb. 6.

"SHINEDOWN is everyone's band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song," they wrote. "Our purpose is to unite, not divide... we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock The Country festival."

"We do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division," they added. The move gained them both praise and criticism, with one fan in the comments saying, "So thankful to read this. This is definitely the men I have supported," while another said, "It's a shame nobody can leave politics out of music."

Rapper Ludacris has also disappeared from the bill, but he has not made a statement as to why. Other performers still set to appear include Jason Aldean,Blake Shelton,Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and more.

The cancellations come in the wake of controversy surrounding Kid Rock headlining Turning Point USA's alternative to the Super BowlHalftime Show, called “The All-American Halftime Show." The event was scheduled in response to Bad Bunny being announced as the Halftime Show performer, and notoriously anti-MAGA band Green Day slated to perform the opening ceremony for the big game.

Rock The Country kicks off on May 1 in Bellville, TX, and runs throughout the summer before concluding in Hamburg, NY, on Sept. 12.

The Internet Mistook Bad Bunny’s Vogue Cover for a 'Fallout' Ad—and Honestly, Fair

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:59pm

Bad Bunny graces the cover of this month's edition of Vogue Brasil, but one of the snapshots from his glamorous spread left fans of one of the most popular TV series this winter doing a double-take.

The photo in question finds the "DtMF" performer draped in a deep, royal blue suit. He lies sprawled across a small mattress covered in yellow bedding, with the walls around him painted in more muted tones of blue and yellow. As one user on X noted, it's "funny how a stark color palette and strong 'brand recognition' can trigger the mind without context," leading many scrolling the platform to pause on what they originally perceived as an undeniable advertisement for Fallout.

I thought this was a Fallout ad 😂 https://t.co/KVBDvvqdOb

— Stein (@steinekin) February 5, 2026 From Bad Bunny to Rad Bunny

One internet denizen admitted they "Had to scroll back up and look twice too 💀," with another declaring, "bros in a vault suit."

"pls I see the vision," someone else agreed, while another joked that the musician was in "the Balenciaga vault."

With a quick bit of handy editing, one fan was even able to bring the mistake to life, warping the well-known magazine cover into a convincing image representing a periodical on behalf of Vault-Tec, comically renaming the Super Bowl performer to "Rad Bunny," adding a monogram of the fictional company's logo to the breast of his suit jacket, and using "FEV 2076" as the edition.

What Is 'Fallout?'

If you're not familiar with the Prime Video series, which is based on a fan-favorite video game franchise comprising seven titles, it takes place in the American wasteland a number of years after a nuclear war. Vault-Tec was a pre-war company that built underground bunkers, called vaults, that the wealthy purchased spots in as international tensions rose. When the bombs fell, those with spots reserved made their way to their respective vaults, donned their uniforms—the blue and yellow vault suits—and committed to a life underground.

The first season of the Amazon adaptation earned 17 Emmy nominations, while the second season just finished airing this week. Filming for Season 3 is expected to get underway this summer.

Beloved Comedian Announces Return to Touring After Health Emergency

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:47pm

Beloved comedian Colin Mochrie is officially returning to the stage after stepping away earlier this year due to a serious health scare.

Earlier in January, the longtime Whose Line Is It Anyway? star revealed that he had undergone emergency surgery to repair a detached retina, forcing him to postpone multiple live performances while he recovered. At the time, Mochrie assured fans that his medical team was optimistic but emphasized that he needed time to rest and heal.

Over the following weeks, Mochrie kept fans updated on his progress, sharing that the surgery was successful and that his vision had fully stabilized. In a later video message, he also used the moment to inject his signature humor while encouraging people to stay proactive about their health, underscoring the importance of regular checkups and early testing.

"Recently, I had some surgery to deal with a detached retina. It's all attached now. Everything is great. But a rumor started happening on the internet—that my eye injury was related to a prostate exam that had gone wrong," Mochrie said, completely deadpan. "Now, obviously, the people who started this rumor are not up on medical practices or anything like that. I mean, a doctor would have to be incredibly nearsighted to—I mean, it's totally two different areas."

Now, just weeks later, Mochrie has announced that he is ready to get back to doing what he loves most.

In a new post, Mochrie revealed that he and fellow Whose Line favorite Brad Sherwood will resume touring this spring. The announcement included a photo of the two comedians onstage together, facing a packed audience, with the caption confirming that the tour picks back up in March.

The pair will continue their live improv show, Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood: Asking for Trouble, a fast-paced, unscripted evening built entirely around audience suggestions. The show has become a fan favorite, blending lightning-quick wit, spontaneous characters, and the kind of off-the-rails moments that made both performers household names.

The newly confirmed tour dates kick off March 19 in Waukegan, Illinois, and run through October, with stops across the Midwest, Northeast, South, and West Coast.

Mochrie’s return comes after an outpouring of support from fans earlier this year, many of whom flooded his social media with messages of encouragement, prayers, and jokes worthy of Whose Line itself. At the time, the comedian expressed deep gratitude for the well-wishes and said he was looking forward to sharing many more laughs once he was fully recovered.

With his health back on track and a full slate of shows ahead, Mochrie’s long-awaited return to touring is now officially underway.

Why Woodford Reserve Finished Its New Limited-Edition Bourbon in Wine Barrels

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:45pm

Woodford Reserve is getting experimental in its latest launch, combining bourbon with winemaking for a singular flavor in its annual distillery series.

The Kentucky-based distillery has released a new, limited-edition bottle of bourbon that has been finished in Cabernet Sauvignon French oak barrels. Per the brand, “the wine barrels impart dark fruit and herbal notes into the bourbon, creating a unique bridge between Kentucky craftsmanship and winemaking tradition.”

The bourbon, which has a suggested retail price of $64.99 for a 375-mL bottle, is part of Woodford Reserve’s distillery series that seeks to push the boundaries of bourbon innovation through two to three releases per year.

“Finishing bourbon in wine barrels allows us to explore exciting new flavor dimensions,” said Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall in a statement. “The wine barrels impart rich, fruit-forward notes that complement the bourbon's natural character, creating something truly special for adventurous whiskey lovers.”

The deep reddish brown bourbon has an aroma of soft vanilla, spiced plum, and blackberry dusted with allspice. Its flavor features warm baking spice, dark cherry, and plum with a hint of cocoa, with finishing notes of soft oak and dried dark fruit.

Customers can purchase a bottle directly from Woodford Reserve Distillery in Kentucky or at select retailers in the state, or have it shipped from the brand’s website to select states like Kentucky, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Washington, D.C.

Woodford Reserve isn’t the only distillery getting experimental with its spirits–last year, beloved Vermont-based distillery WhistlePig launched The Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame, a limited-edition rye whiskey inspired by traditional flavors found in central Mexico.

The main inspirations are pulque, a fermented beverage made with agave and Mexican chiltepín, guajillo, and pasilla peppers, which provides an earthy flavor to the offering from WhistlePig, and xocolatl, a bitter and spicy drink made from cocoa beans.

At first taste, The Boss Hog XII is citrusy and warm with a hint of smoke before building into a rich, earthy, cocoa flavor, and finishing with an herbaceous chili pepper taste that lingers.

Mariah Carey Proves Diamonds Are an Olympic Sport

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:45pm

And we’re off!

The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 have officially begun, and none other than the glorious Mariah Carey helped launch the games.

As glamorous as ever, Mimi treated the audience to a dual-song performance, in which she sang her own hit “Nothing Is Impossible,” off her latest album, Here for It All, and the Italian classic “Volare,” which according to USA Today was Italy’s entrant into the 1958 Eurovision song contest and a Billboard Song of the Year.

The outlet even said that the star’s necklace alone was a “whopping 185 carats.” Carey completed her ensemble with a feathery coat and soft, long waves.

The Grammy-winning artist was the first performer announced in regard to the Winter Games’ opening ceremony back in December. According to USA Today, her set was produced by Balich Wonder Studio and touted as blending “Italian spirit, innovation (and) emotion.”

Following Carey’s amazing set were some of Italy’s biggest stars, including Andrew Bocelli, Ghali, Laura Pausini, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Cecilia Bartolli, per The New York Times

As the Games are taking place in Milan, it’s no surprise the Opening Ceremony is filled with the sounds of Italian greats, but with Carey’s presence and her dual-language performance of “Volare,” fans are wondering if the R&B diva is Italian herself.

We’ll spare you the Google search: Nope, she’s not Italian. She was born in Huntington, New York and is of mixed heritage. Her father is African American and Afro-Venezuelan, and her mother is Irish American. It’s just that even Milan knows everything is better with Mariah.

Is Nancy Guthrie Alive? Unverified Ransom Note Makes Chilling Claim

Fri, 02/06/2026 - 2:45pm

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and the one person that many people are wondering is whether or not she is still alive.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, TMZ's Harvey Levin appeared on "Hannity" to discuss aspects of the case, including an unverified ransom note that was sent to various media outlets (including TMZ) earlier in the week.

“I will say the letter begins by saying she is safe but scared, and they go on to say she knows exactly what the demand is," Levin told Fox News' Sean Hannity. "They are, through us, telling the family exactly what they are demanding, and they are saying that Nancy is aware of it."

"They are also saying … that this will be their only communication and they are done communicating and negotiating — here’s the deal and that’s it," Levin continued, adding, "As the clock ticks, that’s one of the reasons the FBI and other authorities have gotten desperate here."

Levin also said that there are details in the email that were very specific, such as information about Nancy's Apple Watch, which made the note seem "legit."

In an emotional video posted to social media on Wednesday, Feb. 4, Savannah Guthrie along with her sister, Annie Guthrie, and their brother Camron Guthrie, sent a message to the would-be kidnappers, telling them that they were ready to talk but they wanted proof that their mother was still alive. As far as the public knows, the family never received that proof.

During a press conference held in Arizona on Thursday, Feb. 5, the Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the ransom letter requested funds be sent by 5 p.m. (presumably local time, though Sheriff Chris Nanos wasn't sure either) that day. The time came and went and nothing transpired, according to the New York Post.
