Tiffany Ervin Explains Her 'Survivor 50' Strategy Shift: 'I Don't Want a Number One Ally'
Ironically, artist Tiffany Ervin did not see the bigger picture the last time she played Survivor. Too focused on her friend-turned-foe Q Burdette, she failed to see the target that was amassing around her, culminating in her being one of the many blindsided with an idol in her pocket. Now the 34-year-old is coming into her second chance at the win with a present-focused mindset and a vow of silence when it comes to idols. Tiffany reveals she'll be spending more of the season collecting seashells than number one allies, not wanting to get burned again. But she is certainly playing with fire when it comes to Q, as she wonders whether the two will continue their out-of-game reconciliation, or if history is doomed to repeat itself.
Read on for my interview with Tiffany, and check in with Parade daily for interviews with this season's contestants and other tidbits. Survivor 50 premieres on Feb. 25 with a three-hour episode on CBS.

We're back, Tiffany! It feels like we've never left.
We never left. It's been two years, but we never left.
Well, I want to start by asking how those two years have been? Because I know you made a big move out to the West Coast since 46 finished.
I did! You know what? I've been enjoying my time on the West Coast so much. I was a little nervous at first, but I made so many new friends. And there's nothing that compares to walking your dog and wearing shorts in December. I do not miss the New Jersey weather. I'm sorry, I don't!
As you mentioned, it's only been a couple of years since you were last out here. How much is your approach to this season going to be muscle memory versus a new version of Tiffany?
I think it'll probably be about 75% muscle memory. And then 25% Tiffany 2.0. Because obviously I don't want to play the game completely the same way I played, because I lost. So we're gonna do things a little differently this time. But for the most part, I am proud of the game I played the first time, so I don't want to scrap it all. And also, we don't really know what we're walking into. The fans are voting on things. Jeff is crazy! We could be walking into anything when we get out there. So I gotta stay quick on my toes.
Well, one of the things the fans voted on is whether or not idols will be in the game. If they are, considering what happened to you and "Idolisha" last time, are you going to have a different approach to finding and playing them?
I am not approaching looking for them in a different way. I am approaching talking about them in a different way. Really, not at all.
Are we doing this hot take again?!
[Laughs.] But this time, I'm actually gonna do it! I'm actually gonna shut my mouth. And I'm gonna play it. But an idol is a very tricky thing. Just because you have it doesn't mean you know when to use it. It's a gamble whether you play it right or whether you don't. So still gonna look for it. Hopefully keeping my mouth shut, lets me hold on to it a little bit longer. But I'm gonna roll with my gut this time. So if my gut tells me to whip that thing out. I'm gonna whip it out whether I'm right or wrong.
When you and I spoke after your boot, you talked about how surprised you were watching the episodes how big of a target you were. Does that give you a new perspective this time around? Are there telltale signs you're looking out for?
I have to sit and think about the signs that I need to look for this time. Because realizing that I was as big a target as I was was definitely an eye-opening experience for me. But I don't think there's a way to shake that. I am who I'm going to be. But I think the thing that's different this time around is I'm not the only target out there. I might be Tiffany, but guess what? Ozzy's right there. Cirie's right now. Christian's right there. Aubry's right now. What you looking at little old me for? I didn't play my idol! I went home with it in my pocket. There's much bigger targets out here.
When we were out here last time, you also said you didn't have much of a filter. Is that something you're going to try to work on more this time around? Or is it more, "I got as far as I did last time being myself"?
One thing will remain true. I'm always gonna be me. I'm not gonna change who I am. Now one thing that I am trying to work on is giving away how I feel with my facial expressions. Because I feel like I don't have a very good poker face, and we're gonna work on that this time. But as far as authenticity goes, I'm still gonna be me. That's in my DNA.
Was there a difference in your prep between 46 and 50?
I don't think the prep was too different, at least not physically. I did focus more on mental fortitude this time around,. Because I feel like that's where I struggled the first time. And one thing about me is I can be looking cool and calm and collected on the surface. Internally, there's a storm going on. I'm the duck. I'm cool on the surface, but I'm paddling for my life underneath. And I think this time, my strategy was to kind of just work on staying mentally strong in the face of adversity. Because a lot of times when people get frazzled, they make mistakes. And I did that. I got frazzled, and instead of sitting down and focusing on what my next steps would be, I just let my emotions guide me. And then I ended up just cussing Q out. And then I got mad, and I was running around like a crazy person. So we're not gonna do that this time.

Well, let's talk about some of the people you hopefully won't be cursing out this season. We're gonna play a game called "Friend or Foe." I'm going to give you a name of someone on the cast, and you have to tell me if they're someone you want to work with, or someone you see as an enemy or threat.Â
Oh my God, this is so hard! I feel like everybody's a potential Friend.
Until they're potential Foes.
Exactly. That's the thing. It's so hard for me to call somebody a Foe until they do something to make me think that. But I'll play along.
I appreciate that! Let's start with Jenna.
Friend. Actually, you know what? I change that. She's a Foe.
[Laughs.] Not so hard to say "Foe" anymore!
[Laughs.] She seems very shrewd. She seems like she pays attention to a lot of things. And me as a person who wears my emotions on my face, I feel like it might be difficult to get things around her.
How about Colby?
Foe. He just seems very stoic, and I'm more of a bubbly person, so I don't know how we would gel. I mean, it could just be everybody has their game face on, but just preconceptions.
Stephenie.
Friend. She seems like she has a similar personality to mine. She seems effervescent, bubbly, fun.
Cirie.
[Pause.] Friend.
Why the pause?
Because Cirie is one of those people that is llarger than life when you think about Survivor. But I don't feel an intimidation factor. It's just that, it's Cirie! But I do think that I could work with her. She's very graceful, and she seems like she would make a good ally.Â
Ozzy.
[Smiles, then laughs.] "Froe."
So you're going for a middle option!
We could go either way. It's not difficult to pick up anything. But he gives me vibes, like he can flip a switch. He could be your friend one day, but I don't think that that is always going to be the case. So it's hard to read that one.Â
How about Coach?
Friend. I think he could be friends. I noticed that he has his big toenails painted, and that gives me an artsy vibe. Only one big toe was painted. I didn't see paint on the other toes. And I'm like, "I like that." [Laughs.]
Aubry.
Friend. She just gives me quirky vibes. I feel like I'm a little bit of a quirky person. I think I could vibe with her.Â
Chrissy.
Friend. She seems really sweet. Yeah, obviously, these are people that I haven't spoken a word to. But just her aura, her vibe, she gives a very sweet and nurturing vibe.
Angelina.
Foe. She just seems like a person that will play hard right out of the gate and somebody that I will have to watch immediately. I don't know why. Those are just the vibes. I haven't spoken a word to her, just the vibes.
Christian.
Friend. He's such a cutie patootie! I think we would be friends.
Mike.
Friend for sure. I feel like we can have a nice little kiki session. He seems funny.
Rick.
Foe. Not because of anything he's done, but just he seems overly friendly, almost like it's trying to suck you in. You cannot trick me! So, yeah, it seems like he gives me sneaky vibes a little bit.Â
Robert Voets/CBS
Let's get into your fellow new era castaways. Starting with Jonathan.
Ooh, I think Jonathan could be a Friend. He seems like he's level-headed. He doesn't seem like somebody who's gonna make rash decisions. He's somebody I could talk to rationally when things hit the fan.
Dee.
Oh, that's tough. Can we go Froe? We're gonna flirt with the line and go Froe. Because obviously I know that Dee and I could vibe. I've met Dee. I'm cool with Dee. But also I know how hard she plays, so we could clash.
Emily.
I feel like Emily is another one that I might have to watch, for no particular reason. She's very sweet, but she seems calculated.
I mean we're also getting into the area of seasons in proximity to yours. And I know alumni have said in the past that those are the people you typically interact with the most.
A lot of the new era people I have met. So these are people that I've spoken to, I've hung out with. I mean, by no stretch of the imagination am I besties with any of them. But just vibes.
Well, let's get into the big vibes around Season 46. Charlie was part of the group that voted you out, and you did not vote for him to win. What are your thoughts on him going into your second season with you?
I think Charlie and I could start off as Friends. But also, he is somebody who wrote my name down, so both eyes will be open. And then the third eye is gonna be open there too, and maybe a couple of eyes in the back of my head. Because I know how Charlie plays; I played with Charlie. Charlie is a person that will stab you in the back while smiling in your face. So we could be frenemies.
Alright, we've finally gotten to. Give me your thoughts on Q going into Survivor 50.
[Laughs.] Q, Q, Q. This is also a tough one. Contrary to popular belief, Q and I are friends. We are actually friends. So it's weird to say, but we're gonna go Froe. I'm not gonna put any faith in Q, because at the end of the day, he is Q. But we're cool. We've buried the hatchet. We became cool instantly when he got back to Ponderosa. As soon as he stepped on the beach, we're like, "Alright, cool." But Survivor Tiffany and Survivor Q are not friends. Real-life Tiffany and real-life Q are friends.
Are you gonna be open with people about the fact that you and Q are friends?
I'm not going to go out there and put on a charade like Q and I aren't friends. Again, these are people that know me. These are people that follow me on social media. These are people that I've hung out with at parties. They see me and Q talking. They see us hanging out. That would be foolish to do. So I think I'm just gonna be honest. I don't know how to play it. We're cool, but at the end of the day, you can only trust somebody as far as you're willing to trust them with a million dollars that you're fighting for. Also, they don't call him "Chaos Q" for no reason.

What are your thoughts on Genevieve?
I think Genevieve could be a Friend. She seems cool. Obviously, she's great at challenges. I loved watching her play. But then again, she's another one that I might have to be like, "Girl, I'm watching you!"
Joe.
I like Joe. But I think Joe, at least, if we're judging based off the game he played before, he might be a little bit rigid. I think in this game, it's easier to play with people who are a little more fluid, willing to turn, willing to change plans at the last minute. Obviously, listen, Joe's rigid gameplay got him to the end on 48. I don't know how successful that would be out here in a beach full of former players. But I think he could potentially be a Friend if he adopts a little bit more flexibility in his gameplay.
Kamilla.
Kamilla could be â well actually, I was gonna say Friend. Friend until proven Froe. I also have seen what Kamilla's capable of. Give that girl an Oscar! She was acting out there. So I'm not going to completely let my guard down with Kamilla, because the way she lied to them people out there, she could certainly lie to me.
Kyle.
I would say Friend. I like Kyle. And maybe this is just because I've had a little bit more conversation with Kyle in the real world than Kamilla, so I have a teeny bit more to base it off of. But he seems a little bit more open than Kamilla, and he seems a little bit easier to read than Kamilla.
Any thoughts on the Season 49 players?
I'm not picking up much from either of them. But I don't think that that's a good thing, in my personal opinion. I'd rather walk into a situation where I have something to go off of. We're gonna slide them both into the Foe category, until proven otherwise.
Which previous player do you wish were out here on the island with you right now?
Oh, wow, that's a great question. I would love to play with Jeremy. He seems like so much fun. He seems like such good vibes. I would love to play with him.
They say sometimes when a player returns, they take from the game of the person who won their original season. Given how tight you were with Kenzie, is there anything you're taking from her game into 50?
Yes. It is so funny. This was so long ago, but I texted her, and I'm like, "If I ever go back out there, I'm gonna collect a little bit more seashells." And what I mean by that is, I would get on Kenzie's ass all the time. Because Kenzie just used to frolic up and down the beach collecting seashells and tying flowers in her hair. And I'm like, "Bitch, get your head in the game! What are you doing?!" She's like, "It's so beautiful. Everything's so wonderful. We're having a great time."Â
But she was present. She was always present. She was always just taking in everything around her. And I think that is what made it easier for her to get to the end. Now, I'm not saying I'm out to be just floating around like a fairy. But I am going to try to be more present and kind of take things in. Because obviously an added benefit to that is that I'm in Fiji. This is amazing. This is beautiful. It's an adventure of a lifetime. But being present will also help you to pick up on little nuances that are going up around you that you may not have seen otherwise.
On the note of number one allies, are there any qualities you're seeking in one this time around?
I had an answer to that question the first time we did this. And to be honest, no. I don't want a number one ally. I want me to be my number one ally. Because the last time I put my faith in number one ally, I got burned.
To be fair, so did literally every other person in your cast.
I mean, yeah, actually, you're right. My whole entire cast is like a complete sâtshow. But no, I think when you lean too heavily on the crutch of having that number one ally, that person to fall back on, then you kind of lose a little bit of your own balance. And I don't want to do that this time.
That's a good way to put it. You have to maintain the balance on your own using your own equilibrium. If you're leaning on something to stay upright, when that gets taken away, you'll fall over.
Yep, exactly.
Finally, what celebrity or fictional character would you bring out for a Loved Ones visit? Last time we did this, you said Hermione Granger. Would you like to pick someone else this time?
Prince.
And you've got the purple on today and everything!
I love Prince. I listen to Prince's music all the time. And I think that when I listen to Prince, it just takes me to a different place. And I feel like he will be able to inspire me like no other.
The Dangerous TikTok Microwave Trend Parents and Grandparents Should Know About
Every few months, it seems like a new dangerous TikTok trend goes viral. From the fire and Benadryl challenges to the Beezin trend, these potentially deadly social media dares have become more commonplace as TikTok has become more engrained in the daily lives of teens and tweens. Unfortunately, most of these viral trends reach adolescents' social media feeds without their parents' knowledge. Sometimes, children without social media also hear about them from their friends and give the challenges a whirl without knowing the potential consequences. This is exactly what happened to nine-year-old Caleb Chabolla of Illinois, who recently took part in the dangerous new TikTok microwave trend.
Chabolla made headlines this week when photos of the burns he sustained after microwaving a popular toy went viral. Luckily, the child survived the incident, but safety and burn experts are now warning parents and grandparents about the serious side effects that can result from the microwave challenge.
Below, Parade is breaking down everything you need to know about this risky TikTok trend and sharing insight from burn and safety experts. We've also included commentary from mental health professionals who are sharing tips for how to talk to your children and grandchildren about this worrisome trend.

According to a press release obtained by Parade, Chabolla was treated at Loyola Medicineâs Burn Center. The burn center listed details of the incident, which occurred on Jan. 20, 2026. In the morning, the nine-year-old microwaved a NeeDoh cube sensory toy. The cube, which was filled with "gelatinous material," exploded in Chabolla's face and hands when he opened the microwave.
"There are many TikTok videos of people microwaving these toys to make them more pliable. Caleb, who is not on social media, heard from a friend at school and decided to try it, unaware of the risks," the press release reads. Â
When Chabolla's mother saw how much pain her son was in, she took him to the emergency room. From there, he was transferred to Loyola Medicineâs Burn Center.
A spokesperson for the burn center tells Parade that Chabolla was treated for second-degree burns on his face, ear and hands.

"Upon arrival, Calebâs burns were washed, his dead skin cut away and ointment was applied to his injuries. Due to the proximity to his eye, which was swollen shut from the burn, Caleb was also seen by an ophthalmologist. Thankfully, his vision was unimpaired by the accident," the spokesperson shared.
Paula Petersen, a burn center advanced practice nurse, also shared the following statement in the press release: âUnfortunately, Calebâs is the fourth case we have seen this year with NeeDoh cubes. Caleb is very lucky he didnât sustain greater injuries.â Â

Dr. Alice Fagin, FACS, a burn surgeon with Shriners Childrenâs Ohio, tells Parade the TikTok microwave challenge has many potentially dangerous side effects.
"We have treated two teenagers in the last week who sustained burn injuries from this TikTok trend. We have seen second-degree burns to the face and hands from the heated silicone," she says.
Courtesy Loyola Medicine
The burns children sustain in these incidents can often lead to scarring. There's also a risk of eye injuries or "potential loss of sight" and "the potential of ingesting toxic materials."
A Shriner's Children press release obtained by Parade details how the organization has seen patients with burns from the microwave challenge at all four of its verified pediatric burn centers over the last few weeks.
From a fire safety point of view, it's often dangerous for children to use microwaves in the first place, according to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Communications Manager Susan McKelvey.
"When children do begin to use a microwaveâthe appropriate age depends on parentsâ and/or caregiversâ discretionâthey need to learn what is and isnât safe to put in the microwave," McKelvey tells Parade. "Toys and other objects not designed to go in the microwave can heat up to very high temperatures, resulting in fires and injuries, such as burns, that present serious risks to children and adults alike."
Why Kids Are Often Drawn to Social Media ChallengesWhether you think your child or grandchild might participate in the TikTok microwave challenge or not, it's best to stay informed about these viral trends as they arise. After all, kids are naturally curious.
"Children are drawn to social media challenges because their brains are wired for belonging, novelty and social approval. Online platforms amplify those instincts. When kids see peers attempting a trend without immediate consequences, it creates a false sense of safety," clinical psychologist Dr. Jenny Yip says.
Since the videos rarely show injuries or long-term harm, the risks can feel "abstract or invisible," per Yip.
"Kids arenât thinking about emergency rooms. Theyâre thinking about fitting in, being noticed and doing what looks normal in their online world," she tells Parade.
Related: These 11 Phrases Can Help You Raise Emotionally Resilient Kids, Psychologists Say
This is a critical element to consider before talking to your children, according to Mindful Care clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tamir Aldad.
"Children are not doing these challenges because they are reckless or unintelligent. They are doing them because their brains are still developing in a digital environment that is engineered to reward imitation, visibility and risk," he says.
When your child or grandchild takes part in a dangerous social media challenge, it's easy to blame them or yourself. But Aldad says it's important to pause before doing so.
"This is not about poor parenting or bad kids. It is about immature brains being exposed to adult-level persuasion systems without adequate protection," he stresses.
How Parents and Grandparents Should Talk About This Trend With KidsIf you're hoping to get ahead of the issue, both Aldad and Yip encourage parents and grandparents to openly address these potentially hazardous challenges with children. Here are some tips for opening the conversation:
1. Lead with curiosity, not fear"Effective conversations start with curiosity rather than fear or punishment. Ask children what they saw and what they thought would happen, then clearly explain that many online videos omit the moments when people get seriously hurt," Yip says.
Related:Â 9 Empathic Phrases To Adopt To Be a Better Listener, According to a Psychologist
"Parents can explain, in age-appropriate language, that social media does not show the full story. Many videos leave out injuries, hospital visits or consequences, and some are intentionally designed to shock or go viral rather than keep people safe. Framing it as 'These platforms are built to grab attention, not protect you' is often more effective than saying 'Donât be stupid,'" Aldad explains.Â
3. Set boundaries"It also helps to give kids a simple rule they can remember, such as: 'If a video asks you to use heat, electricity, sharp objects, chemicals or anything you would not do in front of a trusted adult, it is automatically unsafe. No exceptions,'" Aldad notes.
4. Keep the lines of communication open"Parents can establish an 'ask first' culture where children are praised for checking with an adult before trying something they see online. The goal isnât to scare kids, itâs to help them learn that the internet is not a safety guide and that pausing to ask questions is a strength, not a weakness," Yip says.

Jelly Roll Allegedly Confronted Reporter Who Asked Him About ICE at the Grammys
Jelly Roll was reportedly unhappy after being asked a political question at the Grammys, according to a Rolling Stone reporter who claims to have witnessed a heated exchange between his colleague and the country star.
During the Thursday, Feb. 5 episode of the Plus One Show with Jess Lucero, Rolling Stone Staff Writer Tomås Mier shared what allegedly occurred after his colleague, Senior Reporter Nancy Dillon, asked Jelly Roll a political question at the post-Grammys press conference on Sunday, Feb. 1.
At the conference, Dillon asked Jelly Roll if he was "willing to comment on what's going on in the country," seemingly referring to the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and ongoing protests across the U.S.
However, the "Need A Favor" singer declined to take a clear stance, saying, âPeople shouldnât care to hear my opinion.âÂ
"Iâm a dumb redneck,â he continued. âI havenât watched enough. I didnât have a phone for 18 months.â
Jelly Roll added that he doesn't have any social media and is "disconnected from whatâs happening.â
RELATED:Â Jelly Roll Delivers Emotional Speech After Winning at the Grammys for the First Time
The singer's response went viral online, with many fans disappointed with his indifference on the topic. However, Mier claims there's more to the story that wasn't captured on camera.
âNobody's talked about this, because it happened in the press room and only certain people saw, but this is something that happened and I think we should talk about it," he began.
Mier went on to say that Jelly Roll allegedly returned to the press room after the conference to confront Dillon, not about her question, but about an article Rolling Stone published last year.
In the piece, titled, "How Nashville's Music Row Went MAGA in 2025," the singer was associated with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. Jelly Roll has never publicly endorsed the president or any political party, and can't vote due to past felony convictions.
âIt was a very tense moment, because it was Jelly Roll speaking from a platform down to a reporter who was just doing her job," Mier alleged. "Everybody in the room just froze. At one point, somebody on his team just came and just told Jelly, like, âJelly, we have to go, like, let's go.ââ
The writer also clarified that Dillon was not the author of article Jelly Roll was reportedly upset about.
âNancy didn't write that story, and it was just because it was Rolling Stone, she was representing the brand, and got yelled at, and everybody in the room saw it," he added. "We're not allowed to film in there with our own phones. So what was posted was the camera footage given to us by the Recording Academy. It made everybody uncomfortable.â

During the 68th Grammy Awards on Feb. 1, Jelly Roll took home three awards, winning every category he was nominated in.Â
Two were awarded before the live broadcast began: Best Country Duo/Group Performance for âAmenâ with Shaboozey and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for âHard Fought Hallelujahâ with Brandon Lake.
During the live show, Jelly Roll was awarded the award for Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken.
Jimmy Fallon Discusses His 'Most Awkward' 'Late Night' Interview
As with mainstream talk show host, Jimmy Fallon has weathered his fair share of both unforgettably hilarious and egregiously awkward interviews since his late night career began in 2009.
But to this day, there's only one interview Fallon remains the most embarrassed by, as the talk show host revealed in an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.
Interestingly, when asked to name his worst celebrity interview, Fallon was quick to point to his first-ever episode of Late Night in 2009, in which he sat down for a notably cringeworthy conversation with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro.
"In real life, he doesn't even talk much," Fallon said of the famously soft-spoken De Niro.
While interviewing such a mainstream celebrity might have been daunting for his first show, Fallon said he settled on De Niro in the hopes of making an impact on the talk show circuit.
âI was like, âI want to get somebody A-list,â and I want someone in New York,â Fallon said. "And the first [person] who came to mind was Robert De Niro."
âAnd hereâs the coolness of Robert De Niro," Fallon continued. "He didnât have a movie coming out, had nothing to promote, he said, âAbsolutely, yes,' as soon as I asked him.â
Unfortunately, Fallon's initial nervousness upon Late Night's debut ultimately wound up causing him to appear flustered, especially given De Niro's simple one-word responses to his interview questions.
"Flop sweat's coming down my face,â Fallon said of the disastrous interview. âMy hair looked like it had a comb-over⊠At one point I was delirious, I couldnât even see him, I was like 'What-what's a movie?' I was like 'What's a movie'? That's an awful question."
Though they might have got off on the wrong foot, Fallon eventually made a public apology for his poor interview with De Niro upon the Taxi Driver star's Tonight Show appearance in 2015.
âI gotta say, I had no idea what I was doing,â Fallon said to De Niro. âI ran out of questions to ask you because you donât even like doing talk shows that much.â
Michelle Yeoh Plays 5 Different Characters in Newest Film
Michelle Yeoh is everything everywhere all at once, once again.
News just dropped that the EEAAO star is headlining another multiplayer film, this one premiering at the Berlin Film Festival on Feb. 13. Directed by Sean Baker, whose film Anora won the best picture Oscar last year, Sandiwara stars Yeoh in not one, not two, but five different roles. But that's only the beginning of the story.
A collaboration with Self-Portrait -- yes, Self-Portrait as in the London-based fashion house A-listers like Catherine, Princess of Wales, have made a household name -- Sandiwara is the first film out of the brand's residency program. Launched last year, the Self-Portrait Residency Prograam invites creatives âfrom all disciplines into the brand to design using their own distinctive styleâ and to use the brandâs âinfrastructure, platforms, resources, teams and distribution network to spotlight and promote external creatives, offering them the freedom to dream and create.â
The film collaboration also marks Bakerâs return to shooting movies with just an iPhone. Fans of Baker will remember fondly Snowbird and Tangerine, both guerilla-style filmmaking the Prince of Broadway director shot with his smartphone.
Per Variety, which first reported on the Sandiwara back in December, Sandiwara will be quite âan immersive cinematic experience.âÂ
Starring Yeoh as five different characters, the film is set in a Malaysia night market and âmoves beyond fashion and into the world of cinema and storytelling to capture the heart of Malaysian culture,â the synopsis reads. With a title borrowed from the Malay word meaning âdrama, theatrical performance or play,â Sandiwara unfolds through each characterâs own unique story.Â
Rumor has it, the film will run about a half or so â so, short film? â but weâll have to wait for its premiere at Berlinale before we know for sure. At the festival, Baker will also present Yeoh with the Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement.
The Berlin International Film Festival runs Feb. 12 through 22.

Jason Momoaâs Teenage Son Listens to Boy Bands to Rebel Against Metalhead Dad
When your dad is covered in tattoos, rides motorcycles, plays bass in a metal band, and hangs out with rock stars, how do you possibly express your teenage angst? With the Backstreet Boys, naturally.
Such is the case with Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, the son of Lisa Bonet and star Jason Momoa. Jasonâwho stars alongside Dave Bautista in the Amazon Prime original film, The Wrecking Crewâshared the news of his sonâs popstar rebellion while on the Feb. 6 episode of Track Star*.

The YouTube series has host Jack Coyne test celebritiesâ knowledge as they listen blindly to a playlist of songs. When it got to Alice In Chainsâ âRooster,â Jason remarked about how he and Conye were âso luckyâ to be alive at the time of grungeâexcept Jack, being 35, was a decade younger than the 46-year-old Jason.
âYou had Alice In Chains, I had N*SYNC,â said Conye. âMy MTV era was Brittney Spears, Backstreet Boys and N*SYNC. You had Nirvana.â
âYou know what,â said Jason. âMy son lovesâI mean, he loves everything but is like so into like, a couple of Backstreet Boys songs. He sings them and, I think he does it just to rebel. Thatâs his rebellion. I used to listen to fâking Rage [Against the Machine] and all these other things. And he listens to Backstreet Boys.â
Described as âone of the most chaotic guestsâ on Track Star*, Jason was able to recognize almost every song on the Track Star* playlist. He instantly recognized Black Sabbathâs âIron Man,â Metallicaâs âFor Whom The Bell Tolls,â Rage Against the Machineâs âKilling in the Name,â Alice in Chainsâ âRooster,â Nine Inch Nailsâ âCloser,â Toolâs âSober,â Iron Maidenâs âThe Trooper,â and Kornâs âFreak on a Leash.â
The only one he missed was Helmetâs âUnsungâ (though the YouTube description also listed âLast Caressâ by The Misfits, which was probably a little too rowdy for the video if you know about the lyrics; better subscribe to the podcast feed).
Jason Momoaâs love of metal was on full display when he hosted Back to the Beginning, the jam-packed event that marked the final show for both Ozzy Osbourneas a solo artist and as part of heavy metal pioneers, Black Sabbath.
"It was an honor to even have my name as part of it," he told the BBC. âI just wanted to get tickets bro, and they're like 'would you host it?' What? What?â
"Every character I have ever played, Sabbath had one way in it or not,â he added. "There's something from Sabbath that has affected someone else who in turn helped me play that character. You don't think Aquaman didn't listen to Sabbath bro? Get out of here...you think I'm listening to Abba??!"

The Korean Trick for the Crispiest, Crunchiest Chicken Wings
Super Bowl Sunday is here! No matter which team you're rooting for, it's important to gear up with all the necessary football party foods. Nachos, dips, deviled eggs and sliders are great additions to any Super Bowl spread, but a pile of crispy chicken wings is non-negotiable.
And when it comes to fried chicken, nobody does it better than the Koreans. Dakgangjeong, or KFC (short for Korean Fried Chicken), makes a lasting impression because of its sticky umami-packed glaze and, most importantly, its shatteringly crisp coating.
The method works on large pieces of chicken and wings. But no matter what type of chicken you're using, that ASMR-worthy crunch is thanks to one pantry ingredient:Â cornstarch.Â
Coating the chicken in cornstarch helps to develop a light, crisp crust all around the wings when they hit the hot oil. Another special treatment not to be skipped is double-frying the chicken, which removes more water from the skin than a single fry and makes sure the crispy crust will hold up to the generous amount of sauce.
Related:Â 19 Classic Wing Recipes That Will Level Up Your Super Bowl Spread
The reason this method is so effective comes down to science. Cornstarch is a pure starch, and its ability to gelatinize when combined with heat and water is at the core of its magic.
When you coat your chicken with cornstarch, starch molecules swell and absorb some of the moisture in the chicken. This coating acts as a protective barrier that seals in the juices and prevents the meat from overcooking. As the heat of the oil rises, the water in the cornstarch evaporates, making those starch molecules rigid and brittle, which creates a crispy crust.

How to Make Chicken Wings With CornstarchThere are two ways to starch up your chicken wings: a dry method and a wet method. Which one to use depends on how youâre seasoning your wings.
Related:Â How to Make the Best-Ever Chicken Wings, According to Martha Stewart
Dry MethodThis method is your best bet if you're using a dry rub or simply seasoning the wings with salt and pepper.
Season 2 œ to 3 pounds of chicken wings with salt and pepper or your spice blend, then toss them in 1 cup of cornstarch. Place the wings in an even layer on a wire rack and let them sit at room temperature until the wings absorb some of the starch and the surface of the wings starts to look gluey, about 15 minutes.Â
Wet MethodIf you want to marinate your wings, this is the method for you.
Marinate 2 œ to 3 pounds of chicken wings in your marinade of choice. Remove the chicken from the marinade and whisk 2 tablespoons of the marinade with 1 cup of cornstarch and 2/3 cup water. Dunk the chicken in the cornstarch slurry, letting excess drip back into the bowl. Proceed with frying.
Fry, Then Fry AgainNo matter which method you use, the frying step is the same.
Heat 1 œ to 2 inches of oil in a wok or large Dutch oven over medium-high until the oil reaches 350°. Set a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet. Working in batches, fry the chicken wings until they're light golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Transfer them from the oil to the rack, then repeat with the remaining wings. Once you've fried all the wings once, fry them again in batches until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes.

What Else Can Cornstarch Crisp?A cornstarch coating isnât just good for chicken wings. Once you get the hang of it, you can use it in many other dishes. The cornstarch and double-frying method is used in Chinese stir-fries and deep frying other foods, such as tofu, vegetables and even French fries.Â
And for any other fried food recipes you have bookmarked, try replacing a quarter of the flour in the batter with cornstarch. That swap will help create an extra crispy crust with minimal effort.
How to Air Fry Cornstarch-Dusted WingsCooking in the air fryer? This trick comes in handy there, too. Use the dry method above for chicken wings and air fry at 400° for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Let cool for 5 minutes, spray with cooking oil, then air fry again for 5 minutes.

'Bridgerton': Luke Thompson Wore a 'Ridiculous' Sock in That Lake Scene
"The Field Next to the Other Road" follows Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) taking Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) to his estate to rest after an attack. They are Bridgerton season 4's main couple after meeting at a masquerade ball. However, it'll be hard for them to have a future since Sophie is a maid and Benedict is expected to marry a lady. Thompson, 37, revealed what he had to wear in a scene where his character is supposed to be exposed.
Yerin Ha Says It Looked Like Luke Thompson Wore a Sick BagNetflix
Sophie went for a walk while struggling to enjoy leisure. She found a lake on the property while Benedict swam. The maid hid behind a tree until Benedict caught her. Benedict took his time to get dressed while looking in the direction of the tree. Viewers get a glimpse of his butt, suggesting he was naked. The actor was wearing something in the scene, but it was hidden.
"When I was doing the lake scene, you know, you have some sort of covering and weirdly, I can't tell you the covering looks more stupid than actually just being naked I think," Thompson said in the official podcast of the show. "It feels like a sick bag," Ha, 28, agreed. "Yeah, it looks like a big sick bag," Thompson said.
The actor said "poor Yerin" had to look at him in the scene, "and it was just me with this ridiculous sock on." The interviewer revealed the lake is the same one Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) used in his season. The lake probably won't be the only sexy water scene between the characters. The teaser part 2 shows Benedict and Sophie looking at each other. They circle a beautiful bathtub. They kiss, and it looks like the maid gets undressed. Part 2 will be released on Netflix on February 26.
Elmo Wins for Most Hilarious Reaction to Taylor Swift's 'Opalite' Music Video
Taylor Swift dropped her "Opalite" music video on Apple Music on Feb. 6, and none other than Sesame Street's own Elmo had the most hilarious reaction to the clip.

"Ms. Taylor Swift⊠you have got to be kidding Elmo," the children's show star posted on Threads shortly after the video was released. It features the 36-year-old popstar as a lonely woman obsessed with her pet rock before eventually falling in love with a human man (played by Domhnall Gleeson), who is similarly attached to a miniature cactus, thanks to a magical Opalite spray.
So, what does Elmo's post mean? The puppet is referencing his longstanding beef with Rocco, Zoe's pet rock on Sesame Street. While other characters go along with Zoe's game, Elmo is famously frustrated by his best friend acting like the rock is sentient and capable of anything.
In January 2022, a video of Elmo lashing out about Rocco went viral. In an unearthed clip from a 2004 episode, the red monster lost his cool when Zoe insisted he couldn't eat an oatmeal raisin cookie because Rocco wanted it.

"Rocco's a rock, Zoe! Rocco won't know the difference!" Elmo yells passionately. "How is Rocco gonna eat that cookie, Zoe?! Tell Elmo! Rocco doesn't even have a mouth! Rocco's just a rock! Rocco's not ALIVE!"
Fans were cracking up over the funny nod to the 2022 viral moment. "Taylor: Letâs make friendship bracelets for our rock friends. Elmo: Rocco is just a rock. A rock, Taylor Swift, a rock," posted one fan in the comments of the Thread. Another joked, "As soon as I saw this video, I thought how on earth did ROCCO make it into a TS video?" while a third wrote, "She ditched the boring rock for a red head. Itâs the perfect Elmo story!"
The music video, which was released exclusively on Apple Music before getting a YouTube drop, is a star-studded miniature rom-com. It features cameos from Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee, Lewis Capaldi, and Graham Norton. Even Peaky Blinders superstar Cillian Murphy appears on a billabord and provided a voiceover for the clip. Swift said she came up with the idea when she was a guest on the U.K. late night show alongside all of the music video stars.
A
"When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos. Heâs Irish! He was joking!," she shared on X after the video drop. "Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an *idea*."
The "Fate of Ophelia" songstress said she emailed him the "Opalite" video script a week later. "I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on The Graham Norton Show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too," she wrote. "To my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time travel back to the 90âs with us and help with this video."
New Data Reveals the Top Red Flags to Watch Out for on a Dinner Date
With Valentine's Day around the corner, dinner reservations are filling up fast and first impressions are happening across white tablecloths and shared appetizers. While a dinner date can feel romantic and low-pressure, new data suggests it can also reveal a lot about a person's character. From how they treat restaurant staff to what they say when the food arrives, small moments at the table can quickly turn into major red flags or reassuring green ones.
According to new findings from OpenTable, Americans were asked to share the biggest red-flag behaviors and green-flag moments they notice when dining out with a date. The results confirm what many people already suspect: a restaurant date is one of the clearest windows into how someone treats others, handles minor stress and shows respect. Whether it's your first dinner date or a Valentine's Day reservation with high expectations, these signals are worth paying attention to.
The Biggest Red Flags to Watch for on a Dinner Datefizkes / Shutterstock.com
If you've ever felt uneasy during a meal but couldn't quite put your finger on why, chances are one of these red flags showed up. The data highlights behaviors that diners overwhelmingly see as dealbreakers.
Top dinner date red flags:
- Your date is rude to restaurant staff (79 percent)
- Your date doesn't have basic table manners (77 percent)
- Your date complains excessively about the restaurant (67 percent)
Being dismissive toward servers is the biggest red flag by far, and it often leaves a lasting impression. Poor table manners can also signal a lack of awareness or respect in shared spaces. Complaining nonstop about the restaurant, even when things are mostly fine, can quickly turn a romantic dinner into an awkward experience.

The Green Flags That Signal a Great Dinner DateThankfully, the data also points to behaviors that people see as major green flags during a dinner date. These actions suggest generosity, kindness and emotional intelligenceâall qualities many are seeking heading into Valentine's Day.
Top dinner date green flags:
- Your date leaves a generous tip (68 percent)
- Your date offers to cover the entire bill (65 percent)
- Your date compliments the restaurant service without being prompted (64 percent)
These green flags often reflect how someone values service workers and shared experiences. Leaving a generous tip or acknowledging great service shows gratitude and awareness, while offering to pay can come across as thoughtful rather than transactional when done respectfully.
As Valentine's Day approaches and dinner dates spike, these red flags and green flags offer a helpful gut check. Paying attention to these subtle signals can tell you a lot about whether a second date is worth booking.

Timothy Busfield Indicted By Grand Jury on Child Sexual Abuse Charges
Timothy Busfield has been indicted by a grand jury on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child.
On Friday, Feb. 6, the District Attorney for New Mexico's Bernalillo County Sam Bregmanannounced that a grand jury had indicted Busfield on the four charges.

"As with all criminal proceedings, Mr. Busfield is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law," read the statement shared on Bregman's Facebook page. "This case will proceed through the judicial process and is expected to move forward to trial."
The statement continued, "The case will be prosecuted by the Special Victims Unit of the Bernalillo County District Attorneyâs Office. District Attorney Sam Bregman emphasized that protecting children remains a top priority for his office. The Bernalillo County District Attorneyâs Office remains committed to doing everything possible to protect children and ensure justice for victims. No further information is being released at this time."
Busfield had turned himself in to authorities on Jan. 13 following a warrant for his arrest issued by the Albuquerque Police Department (APD). The APD alleged that Busfield has engaged in illegal sexual contact with 11-year-old twin boys.
Officer Marvin Brown, who issued the warrant for Busfield's arrest, alleged that the incidents of sexual misconduct began when one of the boys was just 7 years old. The warrant also claimed that Busfield had met the boys on set of the FOX series The Cleaning Lady where he had served as director.
In a pretrial detention motion filed on Jan. 14, another allegation of child sexual abuse arose when a victim's father had reported to police that Busfield had allegedly sexually abused his daughter.
On Jan. 20, Busfield was released by authorities while he awaits trial under the condition he appears for all his future court dates and does not possess any firearms or dangerous weapons, consume any alcohol or illegal drugs, have contact with the alleged victims or their families, discuss the case with any witnesses, or have unsupervised contact with any minor children.
Busfieldâs wife, Melissa Gilbert, was seen in attendance at the pretrial detention hearing, whispering "Thank you, God," upon the announcement of his release.
Busfield has denied all child sexual abuse allegations against him. In a video obtained by TMZ , he asserted his innocence saying, "They're all lies and I did not do anything to those little boys and I'm gonna fight it. I'm gonna fight it with a great team, and I'm gonna be exonerated, I know I am, because this is all so wrong and all lies."

'The View' Sunny Hostin Points to Troubling Kid Rock Lyrics Ahead of Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Performance
The Viewtackled the ongoing debate and criticism surrounding Bad Bunny's halftime performance at the Super Bowl. Co-host Sunny Hostin called out Kid Rockfor his problematic lyrics and comments against the Puerto Rican singer.
Super Bowl LX is set to take place this weekend on Feb. 8, with tensions and excitement high over how the Grammy winner will tackle the largest stage in pop culture. Criticism has followed the native Puerto Rican since he was announced as the headliner amid growing political tensions in the U.S.
Hostin addressed Turning Point USA's decision to broadcast an "All-American Halftime Show" headlined by Kid Rock as an alternative to Bad Bunnyâs Super Bowl performance. The View co-host made it a point to state, "Puerto Ricans are American citizens," and called backlash against the Latin artist "just racism, pure and simple."
She didn't end there and pointed out that Kid Rock's past song lyrics are far more concerning as they speak about liking underage girls. The song she refers to his "Cool, Daddy Cool," which was part of Osmosis Jones for the 2001 animated movie.
"It includes the following lyrics about underage girls," Hostin said, before reading the lyrics from the song in tune, "'Young ladies, young ladies, I like 'em underage. See, some say that's statutory, but I say it's mandatory.'"
Hostin also added, "So, if that's more American, go for it." She also pointed out that the Super Bowl has had non-American artists before, like Coldplay and U2, and "that didn't make the halftime show un-American. It is so very racist what is happening in this country about Bad Bunny."

— The View (@TheView) February 6, 2026The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin also chimed in, criticizing Kid Rock and explaining that choosing Bad Bunny was also a "business decision by the NFL."
"I'd guess this might be the most-watched. Listen, people want the rage bait. They want the engagement online. But, at the end of the day, Kid Rock is a very average artist who has mostly kind of gone past his prime. Average might be generous."
Bad Bunny recently made history at the 2026 Grammys, becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year with a Latin record.

Actress Gal Gadot Reveals Rare Life-Threatening Health Condition
Gal Gadot is opening up about a health struggle after learning about a difficult medical condition during her last pregnancy.
The Wonder Woman star, 40, took to Instagram on Friday, Feb. 6, to reveal her Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST) diagnosis, a rare blood clot in the brain.
While reflecting on her time carrying her fourth daughter, Ori, she shared maternity photos of herself in a sheer black dress. In them, she flaunted her growing belly, placing her hands on her back and gazing into the camera. A third slide pictured the young babe, who was born in March 2024.
The snaps were beautiful; however, in the post's caption, the Justice League film star divulged more than what meets the eye, recalling an intensely scary time in her life.
"Two years ago today, I was walking through a very dark valley in my life. Right beside that darkness, my daughter Ori was born, bringing an abundance of light into my world. Life is truly Yin and Yang... in every shadow, there is a spark of light, and within every light, there is a point of darkness," she wrote.
The Fast X actress went on to explain some of what she was up against: "For those who donât know, I was in the late stages of my pregnancy when I suffered several blood clots in my brain. It was terrifying and painful. Staying alert and aware is what ultimately saved my life. (And the amazing doctors who took care of me). Always advocate for your health. This photo was taken just two weeks before I found out about my condition and Ori was born."
Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a rare form of stroke that "occurs when a blood clot forms in the brainâs venous sinuses. The clot keeps blood from draining out of the brain. As a result, pressure builds up in the blood vessels. This can lead to swelling and bleeding (hemorrhage) in the brain," according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
In closing, Gadot shared a note of thankfulness, adding, "I am so deeply grateful for my life and for the lives of my loved ones. Wishing us all health and endless light. Even when it feels dark, remember- there is always a point of light waiting for you to find itđ€đ," before including the hashtags, "#BloodClotAwareness#cerebralvenoussinusthrombosis," to the upload.
Fans hopped into the comments section to send love her way.
"So beautiful," one said, while another wrote, "Nothing but health! And how important it is to talk about it to raise awarenessâ„ïž," translated from Hebrew to English.
"So beautifulâthe photos and your caption â€ïž As your fan, I am also grateful you and Ori have been given such a gift. Truly a blessing," a third penned.
In the absence of words, several more simply dropped red heart and praying hands emojis.
In addition to Ori, the actress shares three older daughtersâAlma, Maya, and Daniellaâwith husband, Jaron Varsano.

Alan Cumming Stuns in New Twist on Leather for Stylish Campaign Honoring an Acting Icon
New York Fashion Week made history when it banned fur â will animal skins be next?
With the monumental fashion event just a week away, Alan Cumming stars in PETAâs provocative new messaging blitz popping up all over the Big Apple that puts a sexy, vegan twist on the iconic image of Marlon Brando in The Wild One â this time, featuring Cumming, 61, as the alluring outlaw rebelling against cruel, outdated animal skins.
In the shot, the Emmy Award-winning host of the hit reality show The Traitors wears a cactus leather jacket by All Saints, vegan leather Dr. Martens boots and a vegan leather cap while leaning against a vintage Triumph motorcycle and urging viewers to only wear leather made from plants.
âYou can be sexy and powerful wearing vegan leather. Iâve done it. Itâs so much cooler to be a rebel with a cause,â Cumming says in a new PETA video. âThe dairy and meat industry is incredibly damaging to our planet and to the well-being of animals. Thereâs loads of plant-based materials that are available today in clothes of all sorts, so thereâs absolutely no need to be wearing leather.â
PETA pointed out in its recent press release that most animal skins used for jackets, shoes and other clothing come from cows raised for beef or milk, and that buying leather made from cows' skin directly fuels factory farming.
PETAâs poster â which was shot by photographer Richard Phibbs â can be seen plastered on facades throughout New York City, including in SoHo and the Meatpacking District.
With season 4 of The Traitors in full swing, Cumming has been making headlines in a variety of ways these days â especially after receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month. The star was awarded in the Live Theatre/Live Performance category, a nod to a body of work that has never stayed neatly in one lane.
2000s Metalcore Band Announces First Album in 11 Years
The Carmel, Indiana-based metalcore band Haste the Day has announced their seventh studio album Dissenterâtheir first album in 11 years.
The album is scheduled to release on May 1, but fans of the band don't have to wait until then to enjoy new Haste the Day music, because the group also released their latest single "Shallows" today on all streaming platforms.
"'Shallows' captures the core of what we set out to create on this recordâaggressive, melodic metalcore," the band said in an article published in Lambgoat. "Driven by high-energy riffs, heavy breakdowns and a memorable chorus, the song balances nostalgia with contemporary influence. Lyrically, it confronts disillusionment, corruption and the cost of defiance."
View this post on InstagramFans of the band erupted in excitement on social media at the news of the new music releases.
"I'm not crying, you're crying," one Instagram commenter wrote.
"Song is a banger, canât wait for the album đ€đ»đ€đ»" wrote another.
Another commenter wrote, "Cant wait for this đ„."
Pre-orders for Dissenter are already available on Solid State Records in CD, vinyl and digital formats.
Haste the Day was founded in 2001 by Brennan Chaulk, Devin Chaulk and Mike Murphy, with the name of the band deriving from the Horatio Spafford hymn "It Is Well with My Soul." The band later added longtime friend Jason Barnes and Jimmy Ryan to the group, releasing their first album Burning Bridges in 2004. Their second album When Everything Falls (2005) gained the band worldwide recognition and acclaim after touring heavily during the period of its release.
Lineup changes and evolving interests led the band to disband in 2011, but they reunited in 2014 for a one-night-only performance in celebration of Burning Bridges' 10th anniversary, later releasing their sixth studio album Coward in 2015. After another hiatus, the band returned again, playing festivals and working on new music. Currently, the band's lineup includes Stephen Keech, Brennan Chaulk, Scott Whelan, Dave Krysl, Mike Murphy and Giuseppe "Joey" Antonio Capolupo.

Savannah Guthrieâs Momâs Location Could Be Nearby Per Unverified Ransom Note: Harvey Levin
Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing, six days after authorities believe that she was abducted from her home in Arizona. Police say that the 84-year-old may have been taken from her bed in the middle of the night on February 1.
On February 3, TMZ reported that they'd received an email that was phrased like a ransom note. In that email, there were specifics about Nancy as if to prove that the person who sent the email did indeed have her. Although TMZ's Harvey Levin has not shared any specific details about the email (which was sent to investigators), he is now speaking out about one particular detail.
If the letter is legit, Levin cautioned, there was one thing that caught his attentionâand it may suggest that Nancy isn't too far from her home, just north of Tucson. On February 6, Levin explained that the person who sent the email said that Nancy would be returned home if the ransom money (millions in bitcoin) was paid. The key is that the person who sent the email gave a timeframe for the returnâin other words, if the money is received, Nancy would be returned home in X amount of time. Levin did not share the specific timeframe given.
Levin said that based on the information in the email, it suggests that Nancy's location isn't too far from homeâbut she could be in another state... or another country. Levin drew out a map in which he took the timeframe and applied it to how many miles one could drive in that amount of time to get Nancy back to Tucson. Per his calculations, it could mean that Nancy is in California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas or even Mexico. However, it would rule out that she'd be in any other area.
TMZ also said that the ransom letter was very well written, it had "structure and detail" and it seems to have been crafted by "someone who is educated."
Now, according to the timeline provided by the Pima County Sheriff's department at a press conference on Thursday, Feb. 5, it is believed that Nancy was taken from her home around 2:30 a.m. local time. Police weren't notified of her disappearance until 12 p.m. local time the next day. This means that someone had nine and a half hours to take Nancy wherever they were going.

However, Savannah mentioned the ransom letter in an emotional video shared on social media on Wednesday, Feb. 4. In that video, the family spoke directly to the possibly kidnappers, saying they were ready to talk and asking for proof of life.
