Lego Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals Surprising Spider Building Toy, $13 at Dollar General Lego Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals Surprising Spider Building Toy

Dollar General

Designed for kids ages 7 and up, the set allows builders to construct a black, red and yellow spider with long, posable legs. But once you’re ready for something new, the same bricks can also be rebuilt into a scorpion or a snake.

Only one model can be built at a time, but that’s part of the fun. Builders can take the models apart and rebuild them into something completely different whenever they want.

A Fun Build for Kids and Adults

While the set is designed with younger Lego fans in mind, it’s also the kind of quirky build that many adults would happily display.

Once completed, the spider makes a fun conversation piece on a desk or display shelf. For reptile or arachnid enthusiasts, it could even make a playful addition next to a snake or spider terrarium. It could also double as a spooky Halloween decoration!

The set includes several posable features, allowing the legs or body of each animal to move so they can be positioned in different stances. The spider also includes a small neon-yellow web string, which lets you hang the spider from a Lego brick as if it’s crawling down its web.

Builders Are Loving the Set

Reviews on the Dollar General product page suggest this set has been a hit with Lego fans.

One reviewer called the build “fang-tastic,” praising the bold colors that "scream ‘danger!’" and perfectly suit the spider, scorpion and snake theme.

Another builder said the variety of models made the set especially fun. “I’ve built all three and enjoyed every one,” they wrote. “If I could, I’d give the value-for-money more than five stars.”

Parents say kids are loving it, too. One reviewer shared that their child couldn’t wait to start building. “As soon as it arrived at our house, my son had to open it and build the spider right away,” they wrote.

Whether you’re picking it up for a young Lego enthusiast, gifting it to a spider or snake enthusiast or simply looking for a quirky creature to display on your desk or shelf, this $13 three-in-one spider set looks like a fun and affordable find.

Another thoughtful feature is the carry-along pet carrier, which doubles as both storage and part of the play experience.

Because everything fits inside the case, the playset can easily travel from room to room—or even come along on family trips.

Parents Say Kids Love the Set

With almost 400 reviews and a solid five-star rating, parents are raving about this cute kit. Many say the toy keeps kids entertained for long stretches of imaginative play.

One parent shared that their child became instantly hooked. “My toddler is obsessed with the Play-Doh Care & Carry Vet Set,” they wrote in a review on the product page. “It’s adorable, engaging, and keeps them entertained way longer than most toys we own.”

Another reviewer said the toy provided plenty of family fun. “My girls and I had so much fun with the Play-Doh Care and Carry Vet. The tools and molds make it really versatile and creative.”

And perhaps the best endorsement of all came from a parent who said it kept her 3-year-old entertained for an hour. That’s no easy feat!

Lego sets have come a long way from the simple builds of our childhood. And while the fun of building has never changed, the brand has leveled up its designs to include real-world scenes, events and more, often paired with digital apps that let builders track their progress and share their creations with friends.

Dollar General

Whether you’re just a casual dog fan, a proud parent or an aspiring pet caretaker, the Lego Friends Dog Rescue Bike Set is an undeniably adorable creation that deserves a permanent spot on display. With 125 pieces included, it’s not necessarily like the big, complicated builds we constantly see coming across our feeds, but it doesn’t skimp on adorable details that bring the scene to life either.

At $10.50, shoppers can expect a set geared for ages 6 and up, complete with a rescue bike with a removable trailer, two mini-dolls and a little park scene with a bench and a moving bush. There’s also a puppy with multiple accessories, plus binoculars, a helmet, a bone, a poop piece, a trashcan and a tiny poster.

A Search and Rescue Scene Little Builders Will Love

Designed as a fun search-and-rescue adventure in the imaginative world of Heartlake City, the set lets scout leader Aliya and her younger friend Victoria embark on a mission to find a missing pup. Clues like a tiny paw print and a dog poop piece guide the rescuers toward their furry friend, while the park bench and liftable bush set the scene and hide the pup until he’s discovered.

The included bike with removable trailer adds even more poseable play, opening from the front and back so kids can load the pup and other accessories for the rescue mission.

What Fans Are Saying

“Such a fun set,” one shopper raved in a review. “My daughter loves this little set. She is 6, loves animals and is very into all of the Lego animal rescue sets that are being released. All the details are very well thought out, and she was able to put this set together on her own with very little support.”

Fans continued to share their excitement, with one praising the set for its “vibrant colors” and loads of fun for such a compact size. “This is the perfect addition to the adorable pets build and the dog sitter set,” a third fan added.

And it’s not just kids loving it. “Perfect gift,” another shopper wrote. “I did a series of pet/groomer kits and put them together and presented them to our groomer.”

If you’re planning to pick up this set for yourself or a little one, don’t forget to download the Lego Builder app to make building even more fun. You can zoom in and rotate models in 3D, save sets, and track your progress. And once the set is perfectly built, you can even share your creation with friends.

Vizslador Puppy's 'Little Confused Face' at Dad Playing Darts Is Precious

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 2:05pm

Poor Finn, the beautiful Vizslador. It's hard being a puppy and trying to understand how life with humans works. Just when he thought he had "fetch" figured out, his parents exposed him to the baffling game of darts, and he's back to square one. The concept seems familiar enough to Finn – dad throws something; I spring into action – but when nothing lands, and dad keeps throwing imaginary objects, his "little confused face" is everything.

I've never been into darts personally, but this is a version I could definitely get behind.

@finnthevizslador

His little confused face #puppy #puppylove #vizsla #labrador #vizslador

♬ original sound - Finn 🐾💚

My favorite part of the video is when Finn, not getting the answers he needs from dad, gives the camera a look like "Are you seeing this?!"

"Aww, bless him, so confused," commented one viewer.

Another loyal fan agreed, "I love a face that has so much wonder [and] love to be there for the firsts."

Thank goodness Finn's dad is an experienced dart player, and the puzzled pup wasn't actually able to exercise his retriever side!

What Is a Vizslador?

The Vizsla–Labrador mix — sometimes called a Vizslador or Labrala — combines two famously athletic, people-loving breeds: the Labrador Retriever and the Hungarian Vizsla. The result is an affectionate, loyal dog that thrives in active homes.

Personality-wise, the mix blends the Labrador’s friendly, playful nature with the Vizsla’s strong desire to stay close to its people. They’re social, affectionate, and usually great with children.

Three Fun Facts About Vizsladors

1. The Breed That Almost Wasn't
The Vizslador is a relatively new hybrid, and the mix might never have existed if the Vizsla breed itself hadn’t been saved. Vizslas declined dramatically during major conflicts in Europe, and at one point, came close to disappearing entirely. Dedicated breeders in Europe helped rebuild the population, and the Vizsla eventually made its way to the United States.

2. Hunting Is in Their DNA
Both parent breeds were originally developed as hunting companions. Labs were prized for retrieving game from water, while Vizslas were primarily land hunters that worked closely with falconers. As a result, the Vizslador often shows natural hunting ability and a strong work ethic, which means they need to stay busy both mentally and physically. I suppose that means it's good for Finn to try to unravel the mystery behind darts!

3. Water Is Usually a Big Hit
Labs are famously enthusiastic swimmers, and while Vizslas were originally bred for land hunts, they’re also capable in the water. Many Vizsladors end up loving water just as much as their Lab parent. Once they discover swimming, it’s not unusual for them to jump into any lake, pond, or pool they can find.

This Cat’s Intense Staring Contest With a Neighbor Is Too Cute: 'He's Not Even Blinking'

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 12:31pm

We’ve all dealt with nosey neighbors. While you never want a nosey person to cross the line into stalker territory, there’s one exception we can all agree on: an especially nosey cat. And when that feline observer happens to be cute and friendly, suddenly having them in your personal space isn’t such a big deal.

Such is the case in a video shared to Reddit by u/Late-Hair7816, featuring a hilariously focused—and slightly unnerving—cat giving its neighbor an overly intense stare from the balcony next door. Just when you think you’re stepping out for a bit of fresh air, the last thing you’d expect is to find yourself in a full-on staring contest with your neighbor’s furry friend.

Friendly Neighbor or Nosey Kitty?

While enjoying their stay at what looks to be a hotel in Rome, the video opens with a view of the balcony from inside. As the cameraman moves toward the balcony and a sunny, beautiful day comes into view, they pan to the right and suddenly land on an unexpected character: an intense little cat that looks genuinely shocked to be caught on camera.

Call it a typical feline annoyance or maybe a post-catnip comedown, it’s impossible not to laugh at the neighbor cat’s nearly petrified stare. With eyes wide open, the cat leans over the balcony railing and locks eyes with the cameraman, perfectly inspiring the video’s caption: “Coming face to face with your stalker.”

Related: Pit Bull's Whimsical Wrestling Moment With Owner Is Pure Joy

The Kind of Stalker You Can’t Help But Adore

“He’s catnipped out,” one fan joked in the comments. “If that’s the face of a stalker, why not?” another viewer chimed in. “I just want to squeeze those cat cheeks…maybe some catnips too lol.”

Of course, the laughs kept coming. Some called the cat “so cute” and “so curious,” while others pointed out his “unblinking stare” and “intense gaze.”

“Cue up the shower scene music from Psycho,” one viewer quipped. “Subtlety isn’t a strong suit for this stalker,” another added.

And while the jokes kept rolling, one viewer summed up what we’ve all been thinking perfectly: “I love him.”

As the video winds down, the cameraman takes a few zoomed-in shots that show the adorable kitty’s vibrant eyes and beautiful coat. And while the cat may have been having a moment of fright, riding a catnip high or just showing curiosity in a hilarious way, it’s also a reminder that a little check-in with your neighbors is never a bad idea. Who knows—you might make a furry friend along the way.

Tortie Maine Coon’s Awesome Mustache Is Too Cool for School

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 11:00am

No two cats look exactly alike, and that's what I love about them. Some get pretty close, but there will always be something that sets them apart. In the grand scheme of cats, though, there are definitely some who are more unique than others.

For example, this Tortoiseshell Maine Coon cat. Now, her actual coat is very classic Tortie, but there's one very special thing: her mustache. You have to see it to believe it:

It seems that every single cat has this kind of skill:Catclicking~#mainecoon #mainecoonlover #kittens #kittens #catclicking

The Coding Lynx Maine Coon Cattery has some very gorgeous Maine Coons. The mustache-sporting one is definitely the most eye-catching, but there's also a Black Smoke Maine Coon in the mix who's a very close second.

In this video, they're all showing off a very funny skill: clicking. Cats love clicking, and since Maine Coons are one of the most vocal cat breeds there is, they perfect the skill early on. Miss Tortie Mustache seems to be leading the crowd there!

Related: Maine Coon Sitting in Patio Rafters Is So Lion-Like

The Maine Coon's Mama Has a Matching Mustache

This cattery specializes in European-style Maine Coons, which are definitely the way to my heart. You can tell because of their hairy ears and that "collar" of fluff around their necks. These little ones are still just kittens, but just wait until you see her mom:

Like, you have got to be kitten me... Her mom has an even cooler mustache than she does. I love the fact that her two litters are completely different! I would love to get my paws on either of them!

Tortoiseshell Cats Have Really Cool Markings

Tortoiseshell cats are my favorite for one reason: they're so cool! They're black and orange (though some Tortie cats might have a little white patch), and it's speckled all throughout their fur. Occasionally, you'll find someone really special, too.

Tortoiseshell Maine Coon cat.

Often, Tortoiseshell cats will almost appear to have a perfectly split face, though it's not actually perfectly split. Their coloring just makes it look that way: Chimera cats, while real, are rare. Ms. Mustache is not a Chimera, but she is so beautiful!

Senior Rescue Dog Hit By Truck Takes Miraculous 'First Steps Alone'

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 10:10am

Niall Harbison regularly comes across severely injured dogs in the streets of Thailand through his animal rescue, Happy Doggo. He recently brought a senior dog, whom he named Airbus, back to his sanctuary for intensive medical care and rehabilitation after being hit by a truck.

The odds were against Airbus due to the extent of her injury and age, but the precious pooch proved she doesn't give up.

View this post on Instagram

In the Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo, Harbison shared Airbus's story.

"They told us an old dog like Airbus wouldn't recover from being hit by a truck," the onscreen text explained, as the video showed the injured canine receiving hands-on care from the veterinary team at Happy Doggo. "But we saw the hope in her eyes and refused to give up."

The social media post shared a montage of the intensive "weeks of physical therapy" Airbus endured while receiving "patience and a lot of love" from Harbison and his team. The senior dog's determination recently resulted in her first victory.

Airbus Makes a Major Accomplishment

Initially, Airbus's prognosis was grave. Yet against all odds, she fought her way back to recovery and accomplished her first major milestone.

"She did it!" the story continued as the fearless fur baby placed her paws forward all on her own. "Airbus took her first steps alone."

Related: Rescue Dog Gets Most Beautiful Chance at Happiness After 900 Days in Shelter

This monumental step of progress is just the beginning for Airbus. Harbison and his team are committed to staying by her side every step of the way, so this fighting fur baby is already on the road to recovery.

"We aren’t entirely sure what her future holds right now, but for today, we are just so glad she’s back on her feet," the caption raved. "We’re just so happy for this sweet girl."

Harbison launched Happy Doggo in 2021. In addition to the sterilization and daily feeding of thousands of street dogs, he recently opened a full-service medical clinic in honor of his beloved Golden Retriever, Tina.

Golden Retriever's Funny Struggle With Daylight Savings Time Is All of Us This Week

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 10:06am

I know I'm not alone in saying that daylight savings time has been dragging me down this week. So the second I saw Benny, the Golden Retriever in this TikTok, I felt spiritually represented. Some weeks just start with that weird foggy feeling, and apparently, Benny is right there with the rest of us, fighting for his life against one extra lost hour.

The video opens with a hallway shot of Benny on the bed, and this poor dog is very clearly not thriving. He is technically awake in the same way a person is “awake” after their third alarm goes off, but nobody is buying it.

@lexandbenny

Sometimes you just need to close your eyes for a couple more minutes and that’s okay! #bennythegolden #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok #goldenretrieversoftiktok

♬ Samba em Copacabana - LR Beats

The caption on the video says, “Daylight savings got Benny struggling to keep his eyes open,” and that is exactly the energy here. Benny is not bounding into the day. He is not greeting the morning with optimism. He is lying there looking like time itself has personally wronged him.

That is what makes the clip so funny. It is not dramatic in a big, over-the-top way. It is funny because it is so familiar. Benny has that heavy-eyed, deeply inconvenienced look of someone who knows the clock says one thing, but his soul says absolutely not.

View this post on Instagram

The post caption makes it even better: “Sometimes, you just need to close your eyes for a couple more minutes, and that’s okay!” Honestly, yes. That is not just Benny’s message. That is the national mood this week.

One commenter summed it up perfectly: “DST hit him like a truck.” It really did. Benny looks like he got ambushed by Monday, daylight savings, and responsibility all at once. It is the kind of face that deserves a blanket, a breakfast delivery, and full legal permission to ignore all expectations until noon.

Part of why this works so well is that Golden Retrievers are already masters of expressive, lovable misery. They can make the smallest inconvenience look like a full emotional event, and Benny is clearly using that talent here. He is not just sleepy. He is making sleepy into performance art.

And maybe that is why this video feels so shareable. People do not just laugh at Benny; they recognize themselves in him. That half-awake stare, that refusal to fully commit to the morning, that desperate wish for just two more minutes, it is all painfully relatable.

Why Time Changes Can Throw Dogs Off

Dogs thrive on routine, so even a one-hour shift can throw off their sleep, meals, and walks. The American Kennel Club recommends easing dogs into daylight saving time by gradually adjusting feeding, walking, and bedtime schedules during the week around the change, rather than expecting them to snap into the new routine instantly.

Basically, Benny looked like he was about one yawn away from filing a formal complaint against time itself.

Tortoise With Bone To Pick Bulldozes Patio Furniture Like It's His Job

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 9:55am

It's pretty cool to think that we live in a time long past the Jurassic period, but living, breathing dinosaurs still walk among us. More so, they look similar to how they did millions of years ago.

As much as the world has changed, there's one sassy tortoise who's fulfilling his ancestors' wishes by staying exactly the same. Seamus is a Sulcata Tortoise, and these "living fossils" are known for their hilarious bullying ways. In Seamus' world, that means changing the layout of the patio furniture—and it's a regular occurrence!

@crazydinosaur03

Daylight savings is in full effect over here#africansulcata #dinosaur #bulldozer #destructive #aggressivetortoise

♬ original sound - The Crazy Dinosaur

As the caption jokes, maybe this mood was caused by daylight saving time because I'm struggling, too. The chaos began while Mom was gone, but continued well after. This shows Seamus' commitment to the bit, or at least until he bulldozed things where he wanted them.

Distraction with his favorite ball isn't enough to divert the dedicated boy. It may have made him angrier, but he's a funny one to watch!

Related: Golden Retriever Meets Tortoise for First Time and the Confusion Is So Endearing

The tortoise's beef with the furniture is a long-running comedy skit that spans years. They don't forget, and they will invoke revenge when necessary (even if it's a patio couch). I don't know why he hates it SO much, but he has his reasons.

@crazydinosaur03

He’s one strong 🦖#africansulcata #aggressivetortoise #dinosaur #bigboy #bulldozer

♬ som original - XIT DOS MEMES More About Sulcata Tortoises

If you think Seamus doesn't know exactly what he's doing, let me tell you about Sulcata Tortoises. With such bold and curious personalities and a high level of intelligence, these comedic pets have the nickname "tiny bulldozer," so it's really in Seamus' DNA to redecorate any pesky couches!

They can be gentle, but also stubborn and territorial, depending on who's on which of their good and bad lists. As grazers with a high level of energy, exploring their surroundings will keep them busy for hours. And yes—they recognize their human parents, but that doesn't mean they'll listen to them.

Having a tortoise like Seamus around is a huge commitment. It's not only because they'll decide they're in charge, but because they'll outlive their family, often around 100 years or more. I guess that means Seamus has a few decades to figure out how to finally banish the patio furniture!

Lonely Tuxedo Cat Perking Up the Minute She Gets a Kitten Will Warm Your Heart

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 9:34am

It's hard to know if your cat is going to thrive in a household with multiple cats until you give it a shot for yourself. Some cats will immediately take to a new kitten and make it their personal job to ensure that their new friend is thriving, but others are going to take a bit more time to adjust to their sibling (and in my experience, that's what happens when you have a cat who happens to believe that they are the main character of the household).

But as it turns out, a brand new kitten in the house was exactly what this lonely tuxedo cat needed, and it's like she became a new cat when little brother Milo moved in.

In the first clips that the kitties' mom included in the video to show what her cat was like before a kitten joined their family, her cat is looking pretty bored and definitely nowhere near the level of happiness she could be at.

But then, Milo arrived and everything changed.

Finally, she had a tiny playmate and cuddle buddy, and she really came alive. This is what she'd been waiting for her whole life!

Milo Is the Most Mischievous Member of the Family

The TikTok video above is a throwback, and today, Milo isn't a kitten anymore. But his life has been documented on his human's account all along, and yes, he has always been this adorable at any age.

Some of the videos are proof that Milo is willing to beat any one of his cat siblings up — any time, any place — so clearly, this is a cat who loves to start fights (even though he's obviously just playing).

Look at the tackle skills on this cat, even as a kitten:

Oh, and then there was the time that he savagely pushed his brother Zoro off the balcony on the stairs in their house. Fortunately, Zoro is doing just fine... but that was truly a ruthless move on Milo's part.

One thing's for sure: If any of the cats in this household were lonely before Milo arrived, they definitely aren't lonely now!

Corgis Meet Baby Goats for the First Time and It Couldn't Be Sweeter

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 9:20am

Sometimes, the most unlikely of pairings make something beautiful together.

That is very evident in this sweet video from @cshogie4, which is the account for Hickory Ponds Farm, an animal rescue and regenerative farm featuring all different kinds of sweet animals.

In this particular video, it's the rare combination of Corgis and baby goats.

You don't think of these two animals together very often, but it just works!

Three Corgis Show Their Best Behavior With Baby Goats

In the video, we hear a woman speaking with three Corgis: Leonard, Tucker, and Winston, presumably before they meet the baby goats.

She writes in the caption, "We held a team meeting to remind the Corgis of baby goat conduct. So far, they are following the rules and doing great!"

And that is exactly what they did, as she reminded the Corgis not to "herd" the baby goats and also not to "hurt" the baby goats.

Good to make both things clear! She also told the dogs not to put paws on the goats.

This sounded like it was mostly a reminder meeting for Winston, who is new to the group.

She then told Leonard and Tucker they would be in charge of licking faces after bottle time (we assume she means the goats).

Finally, we get to see the baby goats, a black one and a light brown one, who could not be cuter as they gulp down their bottles with the Corgis watching them closely, and they were in fact licking their faces.

Apparently, Leonard also wanted to be in charge of baby goat safety.

Cut to a clip of the goats climbing up small stairs just for them to get onto the bed with Leonard, making sure they were doing it safely.

Finally, Winston gets an opportunity to show that he also knows how to follow directions.

His mom asks if he can just follow Leonard and Tucker's lead, and he obliges in the next scene with one of the little goats, whom he licks a bit, but then politely backs off.

What a sweet group!

German Shepherd Puppy’s Magic Escape From ‘Puppy Jail’ Is Too Perfect

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 9:00am

German Shepherd puppies are one of the cutest things ever, but they're also difficult. They're super silly, and they're very intelligent, which often means you're in store for some world-class shenanigans.

If you don't believe me, see for yourself. One German Shepherd looked his mom dead in her eyes and pulled off an escape from his crate! She couldn't believe it, and I can't stop laughing:

@gabbyxbell

Send help pls #germanshepherd #puppy

Gabby knew exactly what she was getting into when she got a German Shepherd puppy, and she's ready for it. She just wasn't expecting him to show off his new skill as soon as she tried to take a picture! All she was trying to do was capture his cute ears!

He didn't even grab hold of anything, which is what has me absolutely baffled. He just slithers over the top and back down! It seems like this is a skill he's perfected, so I do wonder how many times he's done it when she wasn't looking...

German Shepherd Puppies Are Crazy

Creed's behavior in this clip is pure German Shepherd behavior, and it's only a small taste of what's to come. Pretty soon, he'll be full-grown and pulling stunts like this! German Shepherd puppies have a ton of energy, and they'll find creative ways to get it out, like attacking a pup cup:

Is 'Puppy Jail' Necessary?

I got a puppy in the fall of 2023, and let me tell you, I would not have survived without puppy jail. She's a Boston Terrier, so smaller and more manageable than a German Shepherd puppy, but I was on the struggle bus anyway!

Technically, you don't have to use "puppy jail" (a play pen to keep your puppy contained) if you don't want to. Many don't, but puppy jail is very helpful for:

  • Teaching puppies independence/self-soothing.
  • Making sure they won't get into anything hazardous.
  • Keeping any messes contained in an easy-to-clean area.
  • Having a little alone time when you need it.

Puppy jail is a peace of mind thing more than anything else: you don't have to worry about your puppy potentially hurting themselves every time you leave the room! For some puppies, though, it's just another skill to master...

Paralyzed Tuxedo Kitten Learns To Walk by Doing Tiny Handstands

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 8:55am

Animals have an incredible ability to adapt when life throws them a challenge, and one tiny Tuxedo kitten is proving that in the most determined way possible. A rescue kitten named Lieutenant Dani has captured hearts online after learning how to get around despite paralysis in her back legs.

Instead of letting her condition slow her down, the little Tuxedo kitten has developed her own unique way of moving. Watching her zip across the floor using only her front legs almost looks like she’s doing tiny handstands.

@soccercatmom

Lieutenant Dani had her splints removed today and as you can see… it’s going to take some getting used to. But nothing gets in this girl’s way and she will adapt to whatever challenges she meets. #kitten #cat #manxsyndrome #catsoftiktok #cats

The inspiring video was uploaded to the TikTok account @soccercatmom, who has been sharing Lieutenant Dani’s recovery journey.

In the clip, the tiny kitten can be seen walking across the floor on her front legs shortly after having splints removed from her back legs. The caption explains what viewers are seeing.

“Lieutenant Dani had her splints removed today, and as you can see… it’s going to take some getting used to. But nothing gets in this girl’s way, and she will adapt to whatever challenges she meets.”

Related: Paralyzed Bunny’s Beach Day in His Wheelchair Is Pure Joy

The caption continues by explaining that Dani is still adjusting to moving without the splints.

“As you can see, she's having a hard time remembering how to get around without them, but one thing we know about her is how resilient and adaptable she is.”

Watching the kitten scoot along on her front legs had viewers cheering her on immediately.

“She’s gonna have abs of steel,” one person joked.

Another commenter encouraged the little fighter.

“Never give up, Lieutenant Dani.”

Several viewers noticed the unique way she moves.

“She’s practicing her handstands, don’t mind her.”

Others simply melted at the sight of the tiny Tuxedo kitten trying her best.

“She’s so cute, she looks like a little bird.”

Another viewer pointed out how strong the kitten already seems.

“Girl already got massive core strength. Get it, Dani!”

And one commenter summed up what many people felt watching her story unfold.

“Gets me in my feelings every time I see her. I know she is resilient, but gracious seeing her struggle breaks my heart.”

Lieutenant Dani’s determination clearly struck a chord with viewers.

“I absolutely love this kitten and wish her all the best from the bottom of my heart,” another person wrote. Us too!

Lieutenant Dani Has Manx Syndrome @soccercatmom

Our new foster kitten has Manx Syndrome. Please help by sharing this video so that we can try to reach someone who has har a kitten with similar symptoms. We really need to figure out a plan on how to keep him clean and dry and contain the messes caused by his fecal and urinary inconrinence. #kitten #cat #manxsyndrome #catsoftiktok #cat

♬ original sound - soccercatmom

Lieutenant Dani’s condition is caused by Manx syndrome, a spinal condition sometimes seen in cats with very short tails or no tails at all. The condition affects spine development and can lead to mobility challenges in the hind legs.

Cats with Manx syndrome may experience weakness or paralysis in their hind legs, which means they often have to adapt to moving in different ways. Many of these kitties rely heavily on their front legs and upper-body strength to get around.

While the condition can present challenges, many cats with Manx syndrome still go on to live happy lives with the help of supportive caregivers, veterinary care, and adaptive equipment when needed.

Why Fostering Saves Lives Black-and-white kitten bottle-feeding.

Lieutenant Dani’s story is also a powerful reminder of how important fostering can be for vulnerable animals.

Rescue groups and shelters often rely on foster families to care for kittens who need extra medical attention or special care before they are ready for adoption. Foster homes give animals a safe place to recover, grow stronger, and receive the attention they need.

For kittens like Dani who have medical needs, a foster home can make the difference between survival and not getting the chance to recover.

Thanks to dedicated foster caregivers and veterinary support, kittens like Lieutenant Dani get the opportunity to adapt, heal, and show the world just how resilient they can be.

If you are interested in learning about fostering opportunities in your own city, please contact your local humane society, animal rescue, or breed-specific rescue.

Cockatoo's Cute Jumps of Excitement When Best Friend Comes Home Are Everything

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 8:25am

Some pet videos are funny. Some are sweet. And then there are the ones that make you grin before anything even happens, because you can already tell the emotional payoff is coming. That is exactly what happens in this adorable TikTok starring Furby the Birb, a very expressive little Cockatoo with a lot of opinions and apparently one very important best friend.

The video begins with Furby perched on his human’s knee while she asks him, “Who are you waiting to see?” Then she follows up with, “You waiting to see your best friend?” That is when Furby gets moving. He starts climbing over to his fold-out perch by the window like he has a serious appointment to keep. It is such a funny little transition from calm lap bird to full-time neighbourhood lookout.

@furbythebirb

#furbythebirb usually doesn't get to #watch for his #bestfriend to get home, but he did #today

♬ original sound - Furby the Birb

From there, the suspense builds in the cutest way. Furby watches the leaves blowing around outside, staying alert and focused like a tiny feathered security guard. You can almost feel him trying to will his best friend into view. And then it happens. The moment arrives, Furby sees who he has been waiting for, and his entire body lights up.

The hops start immediately.

His head feathers pop up, he begins tapping the glass, and suddenly, all that patient window duty turns into full-blown joy. It is not just excitement, either. It is that extra kind of excitement pets show when they recognise someone special. Furby does not need words to explain it. The bouncing, the fluff, the tapping, all of it says the same thing: finally, you’re here.

Furby is already funny on his own, and it is easy to see why his TikTok is full of entertaining moments. But this one stands out because it feels so pure. It is not mischief or chaos for once. It is affection, anticipation, and a little burst of reunion happiness packed into one tiny bird body.

One comment on the video made the whole thing even better: “was out walking the dog this morning here in Melb Australia, and a dozen Furbys flew over 😎 I found myself saying, morning Furby.” Honestly, that says a lot about the kind of impression this bird makes. Once a pet has that much personality, they stop feeling like just another animal on your screen and start feeling like a character you already know.

Why Reunions Like This Feel So Big

The reason videos like this hit so hard is that parrots are deeply social animals, and when they bond, they can be incredibly expressive about it. Those excited hops and feather pops are not random. They are part of a real, emotional response to seeing someone important again.

Lafeber notes that parrots are social, flock-oriented animals, and VCA says cockatoos often bond strongly with their people, which helps explain why Furby turns into a tiny bouncing celebration the second his best friend appears.

Basically, Furby did not just spot his best friend; he launched a full feathered welcome-home parade.

Cockatoo's 'Midday Rant Session' Is an Adorable Monday Mood

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 8:20am

If pets could talk, they'd probably have a few critiques about the state of their daily routines. Like having more human children in the house, dogs, cats, and all the other companions would likely suggest more yummy snacks, fewer rules, and pointed ideas about how to improve the economy. Since my three cats and two dogs can't speak words, I lean into all the vocal Parrots to fill in as their universal voice.

Buster is one funny bird who's obviously been taking notes from my Monday morning grievances, and he's making sure we all hear about them. The feisty Cockatoo has a few stern words for a door (and anyone else in his way), and he won't move on until he's finished!

@busterrthecockatoo

♬ original sound - Buster the cockatoo

Buster reinforces my point that sometimes talking pets are cool, and sometimes they're just like us with a few complaints. The opinionated Cockatoo is giving that door a good talking to, so I'm sure whatever happened is better now that he's gotten it off his chest. We may not understand everything he's saying, but based on his tone and passion, it was very important!

Related: Cockatoo Returning Home After 4 Months Is the Happiest Boy in the World

Ranting about a door isn't the only thing Buster excels at, though; that's a big one. As many Cockatoos I adore, he gets excited like a little kid when it comes to his favorite things. One of which, as shown in a throwback video, happens to be jumping on the trampoline.

@busterrthecockatoo

3 of my all time favorite videos #fyp #perfect #viral #idk #parrotsoftiktok

♬ original sound - Buster the cockatoo What's the Difference Between Cockatoos and Parrots?

The answer to this question is like a riddle: all Cockatoos are Parrots, but not all Parrots are Cockatoos! Birds like Buster have the trademark crest on their heads, they're almost always all white, black, or gray, and there's no "tail-based oil gland." They're also better at mimicking sounds or being noisy just for fun, rather than having a large vocabulary of words.

Both species are intelligent, but Parrots come in many different colors and generally have better vocabularies with actual words that can be much more extensive. Both are generally affectionate but needy with their humans, requiring a lot of attention and mental stimulation.

If you have ever wondered what it's like living with a vocal bird who can rant with the best of them (like me!), scroll through Buster's clips and you'll see everything you need to scratch that itch!

Hilarious Reason People Keep Calling This Pink-Loving Shepherd ‘He’

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 7:48am

Unlike people, dogs do not understand what colors have traditionally been gender-coded. The most obvious gender-coded colors we see (especially when it comes to pet accessories and baby clothes) are pink for girls and blue for boys, even though to dogs it means nothing to them what color they're wearing on their leash or bandana.

As one pet parent learned though, even when you dress your female dog in pink accessories to signal to others that she's a girl, many people may still assume a dog—especially a larger breed one—is a male. This phenomenon says more about human expectations than canine appearances.

🐾 SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾

One German shepherd parent recently shared a post on Reddit about her lovely companion. In the video, we see an adorable young German shepherd with a pink harness. The post reads: “my German shepherd still gets called a boy even though everything about her is pink.”

Her owner is facing a hilarious identity crisis. Despite her dog wearing bright pink accessories to signal that she's a girl, this German shepherd owner says people refer to her pup as only “he.”

But as she says in the comments, she doesn’t mind it and doesn’t correct people. It seems the public has a hard time looking past the breed’s stereotype though.

Related: Sweet German Shepherd Skips the Park for Olympic Glory

What Are Viewers Saying About It?

Calling a female dog a boy is a common misconception among people. Many commenters shared being in a similar situation, saying, “Walked my girl when she was a puppy with a gigantic bow on her collar and she was still called a boy. I guess all black GSDs are boys I guess” and “My father-in-law does this even though our cats are boys and our dogs are girls.”

One commenter tried to explain why it is confusing for people, saying, “I remember when I was a child someone told me that all dogs are boys and cats are girls.”

And one fan offered a gender-neutral solution that solves the issue, saying, “I like to use the gender neutral ‘Bub’ when addressing an unknown dog. Bub, Bubs, Bubby, Little Bup, Bubberino, I think it’s a perfectly cromulent pronoun for a boy or girl dog if spoken with affectionate enthusiasm.”

Why Do People Assume Big Dogs Are Male?

Spend 10 minutes in a dog park, and you might witness a version of this conversation:

‘What’s his name?’

‘Her name is Luna.’

Two minutes later, someone else asks the same question.

For many years, large dog breeds have had to carry a strange stereotype. Ask any group of strangers to imagine a German shepherd, and most of them will imagine a police dog or a working dog. Those roles have historically been filled by male dogs, which may influence some people's perceptions. (Fun fact: Female German shepherds can weigh almost as much as males, and they look nearly identical.)

Psychologists call the behavior a "cognitive shortcut." In simple terms, when people lack information, they rely on familiar patterns. For most people, a large dog equals a male dog, while a small dog equals a female—even when reality doesn’t follow that rule.

Great Dane Gets Caught Taking a Shower and Has Zero Regrets

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 7:10am

My dogs hate getting bathed. It doesn't matter how comfortable or fun I try to make it — the second either my Doxie or my Pug mix hears the tub running, they run for cover. Some have suggested trying the shower or washing them outdoors with a garden hose, but I know my fur babies and they'll still attempt an escape.

Hank the Great Dane puppy doesn't seem to have a problem with getting soaked, though he prefers the shower over tub time.

@hankandbillie

Shower obsessed dog! #greatdane #dogsoftiktok #dogsoftiktok #puppiesoftiktok #doglover

♬ original sound - HankandBillie

In the TikTok from @hankandbillie, the Great Dane pup's mom heard the shower running and walked toward the bathroom. She was stunned when she saw Hank under the shower head with the water pouring down.

"Are you serious right now?" his mom asked, incredulous. "Dude, you have your collar on!"

Hank acted like a Great Dane taking a shower was the most natural thing in the world. He looked a bit confused by his mom's reaction, and probably wondered why she was so upset. Obviously, Hank didn't care that he was wearing his collar — he knew it would eventually dry, and he was enjoying the shower way too much to give it a second thought.

Still, Hank wanted to respect his mom's feelings so he slowly walked out of the shower as his mom jokingly scolded him.

Followers got a kick out of the "shower-obsessed" pup and posted some comical comments.

"Why didn’t you knock first?" someone questioned.

"The way he tries looking down at his neck when you say he’s got his collar on like, 'oh so I do',” another pointed out.

"You really interrupted his private time," a follower noted.

"He's like, 'Hand me the shampoo, Mom',” someone joked.

Do Great Danes Like the Water?

These gentle giants aren't considered natural swimmers like other breeds, such as Newfoundlands, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers. Great Danes can learn to swim with proper training, though taking a dip doesn't top the list of their favorite things.

Related: Mini Dachshund Thinks Giant Great Dane Sibling Is 'Furniture' and It's Hilarious

These massive canines aren't adverse to water and will typically take baths without any issues. Then there are those Dane's like Hank that just love a soothing shower.

Dogs Are 'Absolutely Obsessed' With This $10 Indestructible Toy on Amazon

Fri, 03/13/2026 - 6:06am

Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

For the first time, I have a dog that loves playing fetch.

Seriously! Fetch is my Jack Russell Winnie’s favorite game, and it’s strange to think about. Not only does Winnie love sprinting after her toys, but then she rolls on her back, gets back up, and starts ripping into the toy. I have a strong feeling that I might need something more durable.

Clearly, there are plenty of pet parents who feel similarly and have found their solution, because over 10,000 people have bought the Chuckit! ultra ball dog toy on Amazon over the last month.

This Ball Is a No. 1 Seller, and the Numbers Are Incredible

I want you to think about the idea of 10,000 people buying something over the period of one month. My high school graduating class was probably around 200 people. Now, imagine if there were 500 copies of that crowd -- and 500 Jakes (sorry, everyone).

This extremely popular dog toy has a 4.8-star rating (out of 5.0) on Amazon. Sounds good, right? Over 105,000 people have rated the ball to date, and that isn’t a typo.

I can only imagine what trouble Winnie will get up to with a ball that bounces with the strength of a Chuckit! ball. Reviewers repeatedly praised just how high the ball would go up in the air.

  • The medium Ultra Ball is 2.5 inches in diameter and best suited for breeds weighing 20–60 pounds.
  • The medium pack comes with two balls. Alternatively, you can get packs of three ($30), four ($40), and six ($60).
  • Amazon offers free shipping for Prime customers or once you spend over $35.
2-Pack Chuckit! Ultra Ball Dog Toy, $10 on Amazon

Courtesy of Amazon

What Other Buyers Have Said
  • “This is one of the only toys that actually wears our dogs out, which is a huge win in our house.”
  • "My puppy is absolutely obsessed with these! ... They have the perfect bounce, which keeps him entertained for hours. Even during the toughest part of his teething phase, they’ve held up incredibly well."

The Bottom Line: Not only is the Chuckit! ball the top-rated dog toy ball on Amazon, but it’s been around since October 2004. There are TikTok stars who weren’t even born yet. If a product like this can outlast chatrooms and seemingly endless style trends, then it’ll surely have a place in your home (and your pet's heart).
