While turbulence can happen anywhere, new data analyzing hundreds of major airports reveals that some locations consistently deliver choppy rides during approach. Flight patterns, local geography and prevailing winds all contribute, creating conditions that can make even seasoned flyers grip their armrests a little tighter.

Why This Airport Is So Bumpy

Denver International Airport (DEN) takes the top spot for turbulence in North America. Its location on the leeward side of the Rocky Mountains exposes incoming flights to high-speed winds that flow over the peaks. These winds generate intense vertical air movement, known as mountain waves, and strong downward wind shear.

DEN is also one of the busiest airports in the world, handling over 82 million passengers in 2025. It serves as a central hub for domestic travel, with top routes including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle. In March 2025, the resort officially opened La Forêt Secrète, a new fine-dining restaurant located inside the Disneyland Hotel, placing elevated gastronomy squarely within the heart of the destination’s storytelling ecosystem.

At the center of the concept is Jean Imbert, the Paris-born chef best known for blending classic French technique with pop-culture influence. Imbert holds a Michelin star and has earned a reputation for turning personal passions—films, music, travel—into narrative-driven menus. For La Forêt Secrète, that passion is deeply personal: he grew up visiting Disneyland Paris, and many of the films that inspired the restaurant are the same ones that shaped his childhood.

Rather than novelty, La Forêt Secrète takes a refined approach. The restaurant is designed as an enchanted forest, creating a calm, cinematic atmosphere that contrasts with the energy of the parks outside. Within that setting, guests choose from three- or five-course menus that reinterpret iconic Disney stories through French fine dining.

The dishes themselves are subtle, imaginative translations rather than literal recreations. A seafood starter evokes The Little Mermaid. A root-vegetable ravioli with truffle broth references Beauty and the Beast. Main courses include a date- and fruit-stuffed chicken tagine inspired by Aladdin, Mediterranean bluefin tuna tied to Pirates of the Caribbean, and a polished homage to Ratatouille—a fitting nod given the film’s Parisian roots.

We know that sunscreen is a must to take care of our skin and our overall health. More than 5 million Americans are treated for skin cancer each year, with skin-related cancers being the most commonly diagnosed types of cancer in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Overexposure to ultraviolet rays is a major cause of skin cancer, which anyone can get. Dermatologists recommend wearing broad-spectrum sunscreen every day, even when it's cloudy outside or in the winter. "Broad spectrum" means it protects from both types of ultraviolet (UV) radiation—UVA and UVB. UVA rays have a longer wavelength that can penetrate deeper into the skin causing inflammation, wrinkles and skin cancer. UVB rays are shorter and more direct and can lead to DNA damage that also causes skin cancer.

To get in the habit of protecting yourself every day, you need a great sunscreen that you don't mind putting on—something that works with your lifestyle and routines, and doesn't irritate your skin or eyes. We've checked in with dermatologists to learn more about the best sunscreens out there, as well as effective UPF products like hats, sunglasses, clothing and umbrellas. Since the CDC does not advise children under six months old to wear sunscreen, they need some alternatives, and the rest of us need some options to double-up on protection for long stints outside like beach days, skiing and hiking trips and outdoor concerts.

Sunscreen is a passion for many dermatologists, so we consulted a team of nine skincare experts—made up of some of the best in the field from across the country—to find their personal favorite SPF and UPF products out there to protect your skin.

For the SPF beauty options, we talked to celebrity makeup artists who use and test SPF makeup regularly in their professional kits as well. Our editors also considered product value for cost, availability and brand reputation before assembling the final list which includes both SPF and UPF options for sun-protection that you can trust.

Top SPF ProductsWhat's the Difference Between Mineral and Chemical Sunscreen?

Mineral sunscreens work by reflecting UV rays, says Marisa Garshick, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Cornell University. "They use physical UV filters like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and they are less likely to cause irritation or allergies, making them good for sensitive or post-procedure skin."

"Mineral sunscreens like zinc or titanium act more like a shield on top of the skin," adds Danilo C. Del Campo MD, FAAD, from Chicago Skin Clinic. "They are the gold standard for sensitive skin, but they tend to be thicker."

Chemical sunscreens, meanwhile, work like a sponge by absorbing UV rays and converting them into heat, Dr. Del Campo says. They are popular because they are thin and clear. "Since they use filters such as avobenzone and octocrylene, chemical sunscreens are less likely to leave behind a white cast," Dr. Garshick explains.

A lot of sunscreens combine mineral and chemical elements, and Dr. Garshick says one doesn't necessarily work better than another, telling Parade, "Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference."

"The bottom line is the best one is whichever one you are actually willing to apply every morning," Dr. Del Campo adds.

What Does 'Reef Safe' Sunscreen Mean?

Dr. Del Campo says there is no strict scientific definition for "Reef Safe" yet, and explains, "Usually it means the formula leaves out oxybenzone and octinoxate. Some studies link those to coral bleaching. It is a great choice for the environment, but from a dermatology standpoint, a reef safe label does not necessarily mean it is better or worse for your actual skin."

SPF vs. UPF: What's the Difference?

UPF is like a sunscreen measurement for clothes, Dr. Del Campo says, explaining, "SPF measures how much UVB, which are the burning rays your sunscreen blocks. UPF measures how much UV gets through a fabric. I love UPF clothing because it does not wear off or require reapplication like lotion does. Using both is the winning combo."

They block the sun from hitting your eyelids and the crow’s feet area on the sides. Frankly, I'd like a few of these Seville Classics Stacking Bins sets for my home to use in different rooms. In the kitchen, it works great for storing fruit, acting as a grab-and-go snack station or a self-serve coffee bar. But in the bathroom, this could easily hold hand towels, cotton pads and other personal care items at the ready for guests.

It's important to note that these stacking bins also feature cutout handles, making transporting each piece much easier. Not that the pieces are heavy, but having handles is a nice touch.

Additionally, the dividers are removable if you need to further customize the bins. Acacia makes a lot of sense for a stackable organizing bin. It's a solid, sturdy wood, so it can be stacked without bending or feeling flimsy, and it looks nicer when left out than plastic.

Acacia's grain gives it a warm, put-together vibe, and it's slightly heavier, making it good for shelves or closets where it can stay in one spot. As long as it's sealed and not hanging out in a very damp area, acacia holds up well and feels like a practical choice that also happens to look good.

So while stackable bins may not feel like they add as much to your decor as a beautiful rug or gorgeous bedding, they're little workhorses that, yes, people actually notice.

Sharon Osbourne felt her late husband Ozzy Osbourne’s presence at the 68th annual Grammy Awards. Following a star-studded tribute to the Black Sabbath legend, the Osbourne matriarch posted an emotional thank you to the music icons who performed in his honor.

On Feb. 2, Osbourne posted an Instagram video that featured a snippet from the tribute to Ozzy, who died on July 22 at age 76.

“Last night was bigger than a performance,” she wrote. “It was a moment carved into musical history. Reminding everyone that rock isn’t nostalgia - it’s alive, evolving, and still the heartbeat of music."

"@postmalone you were pure magic, a shapeshifter with a voice that can bend into any genre," she added. "@slash@duffmckagan@thisiswatt@chadsmithofficial you are the masters of your craft and complete icons. Truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️ Ozzy was definitely in the building ✌️ 🙏🤘.”

During the Grammy Awards ceremony held on Feb. 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, music icons Post Malone,Slash,Duff McKagan, Andrew Watt, and Chad Smith honored Ozzy Osbourne with a roaring performance of the 1970 Black Sabbath song "War Pigs.” The powerful performance also served as an In Memoriam for late legends, including Bad Company's Mick Ralphs, KISS’s Ace Frehley, Rick Derringer, and other musicians and music producers who died over the past year.

Ozzy’s song ‘Changes’ was also honored at the Grammys

Speaking with Access Hollywood at the Grammys ceremony, Sharon Osbourne said she was also in attendance to honor her husband’s 1972 song “Changes.” Yungblud, Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman, and II of Sleep Token, who performed the song at Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning farewell show on July 5, won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance.

“A song that my husband was a part of writing 50-odd years ago, has been a hit three times, and it's won a Grammy tonight for the best live track,” she said.

Osbourne noted that there was a magic about her husband that drew fans in. “He was wild, and he was one of those special people,” she said. “You know, there are so many talented people in this world, but there's only so many special.  Stands out in a crowd.”

“Magic,” she added. “You can’t bottle it. You can’t. It’s just that 'it' that some people have, and that's what makes them special and stand out. You'll see. Look at the talent in here tonight. But there's probably a handful of icons that'll be here in another 30 years.”

Osbourne also revealed that she knew her husband was special from the first day she met him. “F---Yeah,” she said. “Look at him. Look at him," Osbourne added before saying she felt “blessed” by  Ozzy’s legacy.

Starbucks' highly anticipated new drinks are finally here!

Back in December, the coffee giant teased a few new "sweet surprises," keeping much about the additions unknown except that the company expected the lineup to arrive around Valentine's Day. Now, a little over one week out from the big holiday, Parade can confirm that the rollout appears to be right on time and we finally know what to expect from the newcomers.

As previously announced, four new drinks are coming to Starbucks stores across the country this week: two that tap into the growing matcha trend in a "vibrant" way only Starbucks can, and another set designed with Cupid in mind, with the brand calling it "love at first sip."

New Matcha and Valentine's Day Drinks That Starbucks Fans Said They Couldn't 'Wait For' Officially Arrive on Menus

Starting with the more permanent items, Starbucks is introducing a new Iced Double Berry Matcha and a new Banana Bread Matcha as part of its year-round menu, so if matcha screams springtime sip to you, there's no need to order either before Valentine's Day.

“Our matcha delivers a vibrant, velvety green experience with a smooth and creamy body,” Starbucks beverage developer Sakthi Vijayakumar, who helped create these new drinks, shared in a statement. “It is a perfect beverage to bring new flavor combinations to customers.

The new Iced Double Berry Matcha is a "fresh twist" on the classic iced matcha latte. Layers of strawberry puree, matcha and silky raspberry cream cold foam (made with the returning fan-favorite Raspberry syrup) come together over ice for a beverage with "bold fruit flavor," according to an official description. As for the new Banana Bread Matcha, inspired by the iconic bakery item it's named for, it combines matcha with brown sugar syrup and milk over ice that's then topped with a layer of "velvety" banana cream cold foam and caramel crunch.

As part of its limited-time Valentine's Day offers, Starbucks coffeehouses in the U.S. are introducing two new takes on classic strawberry desserts: the White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew and the Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino.

Starbucks' White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew starts with Starbucks Cold Brew that's sweetened with vanilla syrup and topped with White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Foam and finished with a sprinkle of chocolate curls, per an official description. Its Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino combines Starbucks Crème Frappuccino with swirls of strawberry puree and cinnamon dolce syrup, finished with whipped cream and a caramel-sugar sprinkle.

Fans were pumped when the items were first teased, so we can only imagine their excitement today, with one joking on Instagram in December that they "have to get one of each 😭😭."

“Can’t wait for the strawberry drinks!🍓🍓🍓,” a second cheered.

A third suggested that they had no favorite, writing, "these actually all look so good 🔥."

"It’s the wht choc strawberry cold brew for me 😍," another gushed.

According to an official statement, all four new drinks are expected to be available at Starbucks locations nationwide starting today (Tuesday, Feb. 3), along with this year's limited-edition Valentine's Day collection of reusable cups and tumblers and a refreshed bakery menu, which includes a Valentine's Day Cake Pop.

When fans cast their votes, they made one thing clear: no one in the NFL does style quite like Caleb Williams. 

GQ officially announced on Instagram that the Chicago Bears quarterback has been named GQ’s Most Stylish Football Player for the second year in a row, earning the honor through a fan-voted, bracket-style competition.

The announcement came with a simple but powerful message from GQ: “Caleb Williams is GQ’s Most Stylish Football Player (again)… as voted by the people.” 

With that, Williams became the first player ever to win the title twice, locking in his place not just as a rising NFL star, but also as a fashion favorite.

Iconic '70s Folk Rock Band Announces Update on 2026 Tour

Classic folk rock favorites America have shared a major update on their Happy Trails Tour 2026, announcing a fresh round of tour dates across North America. 

The band revealed the news through an official Instagram post, confirming that tickets and VIP packages was on sale Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. via their website.

The newly added shows stretch from May through June 2026, bringing America’s timeless songs to fans in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia, Washington, Colorado, Virginia, Canada and Illinois.

“Just Announced: Additional AMERICA shows on The Happy Trails Tour 2026!” the band wrote online, inviting fans to share where they plan to see America live. The post highlights nine new cities, including Nashville, Seattle, Toronto and Chicago, making the tour one of the group’s most extensive in recent years.

This announcement builds on a tour that officially kicks off March 7, 2026, in Highland, California, and runs through late June. With these added dates, America’s schedule now covers more than 20 performances across the U.S. and Canada, plus a special appearance aboard the ’70s Rock & Romance Cruise in March.

The additional shows include stops on May 7 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, May 28 in Nashville, May 30 in Fayetteville, Georgia, and June 11 in Seattle, followed by Denver, Richmond, Tysons, Toronto and a final added date in Chicago on June 27. These cities join an already packed itinerary that features Louisville, Charlotte, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Sarasota and Reno.

Tickets for all dates will be available through America’s official website, along with VIP packages for fans hoping to get closer to the band. Organizers note that more dates could still be added, keeping anticipation high as the tour approaches.

The 2026 run is especially meaningful because it marks a new era for America on the road. Founding member Dewey Bunnell now leads the touring lineup following Gerry Beckley’s retirement from touring after more than five decades of travel. Beckley remains an active member of the band creatively, but chose to step back from life on the road to spend more time with family.

Fans attending the Happy Trails Tour can expect a setlist filled with America’s most beloved songs, including “A Horse with No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Tin Man” and “Lonely People.” 

Adding to the band’s momentum, Bunnell and Beckley were nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2026, placing them alongside some of the most respected names in modern music. 

While no new studio album has been announced, the focus remains on celebrating the band’s legacy through live shows. As the band asked in their announcement, the question now is simple: where will you see America live in 2026?

Connections Sports Edition is just like the regular Connections word puzzle, in that it's a game that resets at 12 a.m. EST each day and has 16 different words listed. It's up to you to figure out each group of four words that belong to a certain category, with four categories in total.

This new version is sports-specific, however, as a partnership between The New York Times and The Athletic.

As the NYT site instructs, for Connections Sports Edition, you "group sports terms that share a common thread."

Move over, Wordle, Connections, Connections Sports Edition, and Mini Crossword—there’s a new NYT word game in town! The New York Times' recent game, "Strands," is becoming increasingly popular as another daily activity fans can find on the NYT website and app.

With daily themes and "spangrams" to discover, this is the latest addictive game to cross off your to-do list before a new one pops up 24 hours later.

We'll cover exactly how to play Strands, hints for today's Spangram, and all of the answers for Strands #702 on Tuesday, February 3.

How to Play Strands

According to the New York Times, here's exactly how to play Strands:

Find theme words to fill the board.

  • Theme words stay highlighted in blue when found.
  • Drag or tap letters to create words. If tapping, double-tap the last letter to submit.
  • Theme words fill the board entirely. No theme words overlap.

Find the “spangram.”

  • The spangram describes the puzzle's theme and touches two opposite sides of the board. It may be two words.
  • The spangram highlights in yellow when found.
  • An example spangram with corresponding theme words: PEAR, FRUIT, BANANA, APPLE, etc.

Need a hint?

  • Find non-theme words to get hints.
  • For every three non-theme words you find, you earn a hint.
  • Hints show the letters of a theme word. If there is already an active hint on the board, a hint will show that word's letter order.

2010s Deathcore Band Announces Special Shows in Between Tour, Music Festival Appearances

Whitechapel, one of the most recognizable deathcore bands to rise in the 2010s, has announced a set of special headlining shows scheduled between tour dates and major music festival appearances this spring. 

The Knoxville, Tennessee group shared the news through Instagram, confirming that these concerts will take place during routing breaks on their North American tour with Slaughter to Prevail and around high-profile festivals like Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.

In the band’s words, “We will be playing a handful of special headlining shows during our routing on the Slaughter to Prevail tour and in between Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.”

Tickets for all newly announced headlining dates went on sale on Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. EST, with support acts still to be announced.

Whitechapel Adds Headlining Dates

The newly announced headlining shows are spread across March, April and May, carefully placed on off-nights of Whitechapel’s spring North American run as direct support for Slaughter to Prevail, with Attila opening that tour.

The confirmed Whitechapel-only headlining dates are:

  • March 30 – Portland, OR @ Roseland Theatre
  • April 3 – San Diego, CA @ SOMA
  • April 9 – Norfolk, VA @ The NorVa
  • April 16 – Hampton, NH @ Wally’s

In May, the band will also perform three standalone shows surrounding their festival appearances:

  • May 11 – Destin, FL @ Club LA
  • May 12 – Memphis, TN @ Minglewood Hall
    May 13 – Louisville, KY @ Headliners Music Hall

These dates sit alongside Whitechapel’s appearances at Welcome to Rockville on May 10 in Daytona Beach, Florida and Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival on May 14 in Columbus, Ohio.

Whitechapel’s decision to add extra concerts reflects how active the band has been in support of their latest album, Hymns in Dissonance, released earlier in 2025 via Metal Blade Records. The album marked their ninth studio release and pushed their sound into darker, heavier territory while keeping the crushing grooves and vocal intensity fans expect.

With festival crowds, a stacked tour and exclusive headlining dates all packed into one season, Whitechapel is clearly keeping momentum high and giving fans plenty of chances to catch them live in 2026.
