How Savannah Guthrie’s Family Learned Her Mom Nancy Was Missing
Authorities are sharing more information as to how TODAY Show anchor Savannah Guthrie and her family learned her mother Nancy Guthrie is missing.
On the evening on Sunday, Feb. 1, news broke that Savannah’s mom Nancy Guthrie had been reported missing. The 84-year-old was last seen near her home in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 31 and is being referred to by authorities as a “vulnerable adult.”
During a press conference on Monday, Feb. 2, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said that Nancy's disappearance was reported on the morning of Feb. 1 after a friend of hers noticed she was not present at church that morning and called one of her children.
Nancy and her late husband Charles, who died from a heart attack when Savannah was 16, share three children: Savannah, 54, Annie, and Camron.
The church friend then went to Nancy's home and “did some searching and realized, ‘We need some help,’ and they called 911.”

Nanos said that “suspicious circumstances” were found at Nancy’s home just outside Tucson and that after processing the scene on Sunday night, investigators now “believe a crime has been committed.”
He added investigators believe Nancy “did not leave on her own.”
Savannah addressed the disappearance of her mother via a statement, which read, "On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.”
Nancy Guthrie is described as 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information can contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900 or call 911.
Sam's Club Shoppers 'Highly Recommend' This Reusable Party Must-Have

When a friend of mine told me she paid $600 for a balloon arch to decorate her sister's baby shower, I audibly gasped. Six-hundred dollars for something that will inevitably pop or deflate within a couple of days? Yikes! Then again, if you've ever constructed a balloon arch yourself, you know it's incredibly time-consuming, so in that sense, I can understand the astronomical cost on the part of the vendor.
But what if there was such a thing as a reusable balloon arch? One that was easy to inflate, deflate and store, and costs under $40? It sounds like a dream come true for anyone who wants to save money on party decor.
Sam's Club is selling a PartyAire 18' Reusable PVC Balloon Arch for $39.98, and it is an incredible find for people who host a lot of events or birthday parties. It includes 28 PVC balloons total, divided among four garlands, with some Sam's Club shoppers saying that they would add a few real balloons here and there to fill it out a little more.
PartyAire 18' Reusable PVC Balloon Arch, $39.98 at Sam's ClubSam's Club
The reusable balloon arch set comes in four different colorways: rainbow (shown above), pink paradise, blueberry twist and sandy shades. Honestly, at under $40, I'm inclined to purchase two different colorways because I can use them not only for my kids' birthday parties but also for school celebrations.

For the record, PVC is a great material for Sam's Club's reusable balloon arch because it's durable, flexible and easy to work with—exactly what you want for something that gets assembled, taken apart, and stored multiple times. It's strong enough to hold its shape and support the weight of balloons while remaining lightweight, so setup doesn't feel like a two-person job.
With all of this in mind, a Sam's Club shopper wants potential customers to have realistic expectations about this balloon arch (which they love, by the way).
"I think people are having unrealistic expectations when purchasing this reusable balloon garland," they wrote in their review. "Yes they do look a little bit like beach balls, and they do have some creases in them, but no one is going to be close enough to the balloons to be able to see that. You also have to remember it's a little bit of a trade-off, you're getting something that you can reuse for years to come as long as you take care of it versus having to spend God knows how much money on balloon garlands for every event that you do year-round. Just some food for thought, we absolutely love this set and we have one in each color now."
Just a little something to keep in mind before you take the plunge and buy one of these party helpers.

'70s Outlaw Country Star Dies at 85 After Battle With Cancer
Country music has lost an unsung hero from its rough-edged outlaw era. Don Adams, a singer, songwriter, and band member who played with Johnny Paycheck and George Jones, died on Sunday, February 1. He was 85 and had been battling cancer intermittently for several years, according to Saving Country Music.
Though Adams never became a marquee headliner, his voice, musicianship, and presence placed him squarely inside the outlaw country ecosystem of the 1960s and ’70s. As a longtime member of Paycheck’s band The Lovemakers, and one of Jones’ famed “Jones Boys,” Adams spent years on the road helping power some of the most volatile and influential live shows in country music.

Born January 4, 1941, in Ross County, Ohio, Adams grew up surrounded by music. His father, Frank Adams, was a fiddle player, and Don and his brothers, Roland “Arnie” Adams and Gary Adams, took naturally to country music. Their close childhood friend Donald Eugene Lytle, later known as Johnny Paycheck, became a formative influence, with the group learning their craft together long before any of them became famous.
Adams eventually found his niche on bass, rhythm guitar, and harmony vocals, developing a rare tenor voice that made him invaluable on stage. By the early 1960s, he and his brothers were backing Jones, appearing on television programs like The Jimmy Dean Show and touring constantly. The experience placed Adams in the middle of country music’s transition from polished studio acts to high-energy road bands.
In the early 1970s, Adams’ career took a notable turn when he signed with Atlantic Records and released his solo album Don Adams – On His Way. One of its singles, “I’ve Already Stayed Too Long,” became his biggest chart success, and Paycheck himself publicly celebrated Adams’ rise during a radio interview at the time.
“It’s amazing how we’ve progressed in two years. I’m very grateful," said the country star. "I now have probably the biggest show, one of the biggest shows on the road. I carry a young man who does my front work for me, and he’s now recording for Atlantic Records—Don Adams, who has just had a hit record ‘I’ve Already Stayed Too Long.'"

Asked what advice he would give Adams as his career gained momentum, Paycheck kept it simple.
“Well, the advice I’d give is never give up and work hard. A lot of hard work, yeah, that’s the main thing," said Paycheck.
That work ethic carried Adams through decades of touring, including appearances at venues like Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl, and Carnegie Hall. Later in life, he reached new audiences through Mike Judge's series Tales From The Tour Bus, where animated retellings captured the chaos, camaraderie, and excess of life on the road with Paycheck and Jones.

Eventually, Adams chose family over full-time touring, returning to Ohio while continuing to play music locally. He was inducted into the Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame and received the Founder of The Sound Award at the Ameripolitan Awards in 2023.
Fans described his passing as “the loss of a legend.” Adams is survived by his five daughters, his brothers, and generations of musicians who recognize his role in shaping the sound and spirit of outlaw-era country music.

Trump Threatens to Sue Trevor Noah After Grammys Joke
Donald Trumpis threatening to sue Trevor Noahafter the comedian made a joke at the Grammys linking the president to Jeffrey Epstein's private island.
Noah hosted the 68th Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 1, for the sixth time and while speaking of the Song of the Year Award he joked, "That is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton."
On Friday, Dec. 30, The Department of Justice released additional documents from the Epstein files which included mentions of public figures such as President Trump, Bill Clinton, and Elon Musk.
Responding to Noah, Trump denied ever being on Epstein's private island where sex trafficking crimes allegedly took place.
"Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island," the President wrote on Truth Social. "WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media."
Trump continued to slam Noah writing, “CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast."
The President then threatened to take legal action against the comedian for his comments at the Grammys.
"It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!" Trump said.
A number of photographs released by the House Oversight Committee in December 2025 featured Trump with a group of anonymous women. Trump has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Following the release of the photos, White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, told People, "once again, House Democrats are selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked and the Trump Administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends," Jackson said. "It’s time for the media to stop regurgitating Democrat talking points and start asking Democrats why they wanted to hang around Epstein after he was convicted."
‘Survivor 50’ Star Christian Hubicki Says He’s Playing ‘Narrative Warfare’ — And Reveals a Life-Changing Secret (Exclusive)
At long last, Christian Hubicki is back on Survivor, and he's traded a calculator for a pen. The robotics professor learned a great lesson from David vs. Goliath, hoping to steal the superpower of castmate Mike White to create "narrative warfare." That doesn't mean the 39-year-old is throwing away his analytical personality, though. In our lengthy discussion, he gets into everything from an in-depth "casting categories" theory, and how that informs who he's targeting, to why he thinks Colby Donaldson hates him because he farted in front of him. But despite his delightful loquaciousness, there is one massive detail he's choosing to keep mum about until just the right time: His six-week-old baby, someone who is, at the end of all of this, worth playing for.
Read on for my interview with Christian, and check in with Parade daily for interviews with this season's contestants and other tidbits. Survivor 50 premieres on Feb. 25 with a three-hour episode on CBS.

I have to start by asking, how are you feeling right now? I know when your season was airing, you were one of the names people were talking about as someone who had to come back. But, up until this point, you hadn't had the opportunity to do so. So how are you feeling now that the opportunity has finally arisen?
I mean, it felt validating. It's been seven years since I played. I mean, roughly 200 people — I think 198 or so, who's counting — have played since me? The fact that I'm still on these lists is so flattering. I mean, I think it helps that David vs. Goliath is such a well received season. But at the same time, like, I feel like with Angelina and me, we were kind of like a yin and yang for that season across the David and Goliath stories, and also a little Mike White drizzled on top as well. I'm sure we'll get to him.
Yeah, he's a sauce.
But really, I try to be humble about it. Because, look, I'm lucky. I'm lucky that they chose me. I got lucky by circumstance. But if I just write it off [and say] it's always lucky, I really do myself a disservice. I have to acknowledge to myself that I did something to earn this. Because if I do not own my own strengths, I will end up carpet bombing people with a "Charmpocalypse" again. And then everyone says, "We like you so much, Christian! Here's 18 votes."
I want to talk about that. Because your narrative in your original season was that you were the David who became the Goliath. You showed from that very first challenge with the slide puzzle what you were capable of, to the point where, as you mentioned, you do become a massive target in the postmerge. So what do you think the perception of you is going to be this time around?
So I think time helps and hurts in a way. I think that time helps that I'm no longer the most recent threat. We have three people from 48 here, two of whom were in a secret alliance. Ain't no secret no more! But time helps there. Ad it even helps the fact that some of these newer players, they might actually look at me with some kind of reverence. That's something I never really expected.
If I would have come back for, say, 40. And this is the first time I'll say on the record, I was in contention for 40. And I wasn't even sure if I was gonna go, because it was so soon thereafter, and I had a job that I was worried about. But then they changed the theme, and I had it ripped away. And I'm like, "Damn, it really hurt." I wanted to be my choice at least. I probably would have ultimately come around to it, but it would have been hard.
But anyway, back to the reputation. The other thing here is everyone is scared. I think deep down on some level, everyone is scared. There was a moment I was in a tent yesterday with Coach. And I remember I was sort of getting in my own head a bit. Coach was in my way. He had his feet propped up to the over for the over in front of the only entrance to the tent I had to get through. And the man did not budge a millimeter to let me get out. I'm like, "Oh, my God, this man hates me. Is this man pre-gaming and decided that I'm dead?" I got in my own head. And then, not five minutes later, Coach starts freaking out in the tents. "I'm stuck in this tent so long. I'm about to lose my mind! If I had anxiety, I would run off into the forest right now." He's scared, Coach, and in my opinion, has always had a narrative about fear. That's my opinion, but that's the same for everyone.
There is a reason that everyone out here is scared. Do you think Dee's not scared that she'll get booted because she's a winner and she just played The Challenge? Everyone is scared. So what is about is marshaling the right narrative. I'm not the current person to be scared of.
I will say my dominating strategic mindset this season is that Survivor is narrative warfare. It's about relationships; it's about all these things. But they're all incomplete pictures as to what this season is about. The reason I was a giant threat was because I was a narrative threat. Who set that threat? Freaking Mike White, the king of narratives! He told a very simple story that said, "Christian is the David. You will slay Goliath. If you let him get to the end, he will win." Simple story. It's like Inception. A simple enough story buried deep enough, will plant seeds and grow.
I want to steal his power this season. That's the thing I learned. I'm picking up the pen. It's mine. So that's the thing I learned the most that I've kept close to the vest across probably 60 hours of podcasts at this point. It's narrative warfare. That's my secret strategy. Especially with 50, there is no set narrative other than "In the Hands of the Fans." You can make up whatever narrative you want. "Ozzy, would the fans want all the old schoolers to stick together? Charlie, are the fans gonna be happy if you just stick together with all the new schoolers?" Charlie might not be able to buy it, but some people will. And those people who are most susceptible to the narratives are the ones I want around, and the least susceptible are the ones I want out.
I was looking back on our exit interview from David vs. Goliath. And you told me that you had a preseason playbook before that season, and you wished you had memorized it. Is there a new playbook coming into this season?
Well, one, I spent a little bit more time writing out basically the blackjack tables and what to do, when, where and how at a vote. Because that's one thing that Nick did very effectively. He came up with the minority vote split at the Final 12 of my season. And one of the moments I look back on that I could have changed is that, if I had come up with that idea — because I knew Davie had the idol, Nick had learned it later — I could have chosen the target. And if I had chosen the target to be Mike White, not the Mayor of Slamtown, very different season. Nick would have never gone for that, because he had a backchannel alliance with him. But if I were calling the shots, I would have, and that would have set a very different tone going down the stretch. The only person who had been beating the drum to get me out at that point would be Angelina, who did not have the credibility with the Goliath tribe.
I could have brought the Brochachos back into the fold. That's one of the other Butterfly Effect things that I think could have been different. Do I beat myself up at night? No, I did not. I undervalued the occasional time when those crazy votes would happen. And now those votes are crazier. I mean, have you seen these seasons!? Dear God! I have not gotten a full, complete answer from production as to what the role of the Shot in the Dark is on a rock draw, and during a consensus vote. Hopefully on the beach, they will tell me. But those things matter. Knowing what to do when matters. And especially when the game is faster, you don't have time to think it through. Gotta have the playbook.
Related: Meet the Full Cast of Survivor 50
Well, let's take a look at some of the people in that playbook. We're gonna play a game called "Friend or Foe." I'm going to give you a name of someone on the cast, and you have to tell me if they're someone you want to work with, or someone you see as an enemy or threat.Starting with Jenna.
So real quick preamble. Obviously, anything could change on the island. Jenna, Friend. She could be a loose cannon. I want to point her in a direction at some point. That woman will not quit. I think she's misunderstood. Old school player, classic player. "Classic era," they're gonna love that. The woman, in her mind, thought she almost won All-Stars. She thought she was one alleged foot smudge away from winning. And I listened to two podcasts with Rob that she did from 2005, I think; I know it bothers her. But she's a loose cannon. She can be a loose cannon, but she tries really, really hard. And she also marshaled the relationship with Rupert, etc. I think there's angles there. I think I could temporarily work with it.
How about Colby?
Honestly, Foe. I would love to work with him. I worried that I farted in front of him. So I'm worried that he hates me.
[Laughs.] What?!
So I remember I'm trying to be chill at Ponderosa. And I grab a table that's next to Colby's table, and I'm trying to enjoy the sunset. And Colby, who has resting murder face, I think, for most of the time at Ponderosa. So I'm like, "I just want Colby to like me!" So I always try to be chill. I'm just the guy who's enjoying the sunset.
And I just had this feeling. I'm like, "Did I just let something out?" And I think it was silent but mild, and I think that was far enough away. But I'm estimating the radius of the smell, and we're outside, the wind direction wasn't favorable. I look back at him, and I didn't know if it was a resting murder face, [but] he had one nostril up. And I'm like, "Oh my god." I had just eaten. I pound food at Ponderosa. It wasn't even intentional. And I'm like, "Does he know? Does he know?"
But I think I've had a series of minor, escalating faux pas with Colby. I think that they might all be in my own mind. But I also think he may think I'm from outer space. So spare a thought for poor Colby, who had 2000 babies named after him in the year 2001 and is being farted at by some random guy on an island if you stand upwind. And also, spare a thought for me that this is going through my head. And I am a tenured professor of robotics! I've won major international awards for my work. And this is where my mind is at the moment. So hopefully, after he's been thawed out of cryo sleep, he's a little more chill.
It'll be a gas no matter what.
[Laughs.] You got me there.
What about Stephenie?
I worry about her. I'd say Foe. When we initially came out of our hotel room for the first time in LA, there were four people who came out of the hotel room at the same time. It was me. It was, Stephenie, Tiff and Dee. Stephanie looks at Dee, she's like, "Oh my god." She looks at Tiff. "Oh my god." Looks at me. [Imitates blank face.] I'm like, "Hello to you too, Stephenie!" I mean, look, here's the thing. One thing I learned last time is I do have a capacity to get people to like me. I don't need a carpet bomb charm offensive. But I think in the one-on-ones, give me three minutes with Colby and Stephenie, I think I can have a working relationship.
Cirie.
Dangerous. But I think honestly, Friend. I'm cooking up in my mind. I don't know if I would do this, but what is Cirie scared of? More than anything in the world?
Leaves!
Leaves number one. Number two, getting picked off early. Number three, she cannot make that final Tribal to save her life. What if someone offered her that? What a dangerous game to play and mean it. To say, "Look, Cirie, you and I have similar problems to vastly different degrees. I can't make a final Tribal. You have a real hard time making final Tribal. You have a massive target. I have a minor target. It's a matter of degrees, but a similar problem. What if I fought to keep you in the Final Three all the way the end? I would take you to the Final Three? And you can believe me or not believe me. But I think, over time, you'll learn to take me seriously."
Dangerous play. She'll go off and she will laugh about this idiot who tried to make a deal with her. But at least it might be worth a shot, as long as she's not looking for an easy first pick to throw me under the bus.
Ozzy.
Friend, very chill. Met him one time. Glorious time.
How about Coach?
I will make him my Friend. I used to be scared of him, but then I think I saw the Matrix. He's afraid. For all of his machismo and all his puffing out of hubris. It was a constant in all the seasons. He was afraid to go to Exile in Tocantins. He flipped to Russell's alliance because he was afraid to vote out Boston Rob. And he's afraid to stand up for him, too. He was afraid. And the one thing I can offer is reassurance. I do this to my students all the time. With Coach, it has to be a carrot. You kind of dangle it out just enough that he keeps wanting to come in your direction. So I'm gonna make him a Friend.
Let's move into your era: The 30s. Aubry.
Friend. We talked briefly during 38. We were both on each other's radars, exchanged a few text messages. But it's very friendly. I think that we would vibe. So long as, when she starts talking astrology, my knuckles will turn a shade of white. previously unknown to science. But other than that, I'm sure we'll get along great.
How about Chrissy?
Chrissy, Friend. I think that she will be looking for friends. Now, I think she has a lot of connections. This is where it starts. Connections start to scare me with Chrissy, because she goes to a lot of these events. She talks to a lot of the moms. But I think that she's also going to be looking for someone who takes her word and ideas very seriously. I love working with professional women, especially, and I'm happy to be their partner.
It's time to open up the David vs. Goliath Pandora's Box. Give me your thoughts on Angelina.
Angelina…Foe. So now let me caveat this. I say that because I think everyone assumes that we're gonna be working tightly together, right? I think people will assume that. And I harbor no ill personal will to Angelina nor Mike. I don't really believe in revenge, but I also don't believe in being stupid. This woman was so driven to win last time, and now she's fighting for her two wonderful daughters that she loves dearly. Do you think she's gonna let me slide by for her family? No way! She's absolutely going to do what she needs to do for her kids. But she's also not the only parent from David vs. Goliath. So there's that.
Let's get into Mike. You showed up in Thailand to appear on The White Lotus. So what are your feelings towards him now?
I think that Mike sincerely would want to work with me…for now. But when the circumstances change, he will flip. And this man, he will say he's here for the experience again, but fool me twice. But he's the man who has everything. He won an Emmy. He'd rather win Survivor. I think on some level, he'd rather win this show. So I'd be a fool to forget that.
He's a Friend. I think he's a Friend. I don't think he'd be looking to take me out early. But this idea, "Oh, take me to the Final Three. I don't want to win." He's not going to make that mistake again. He will get to the end, and then he will make a beautiful speech and tell everyone why he should be the winner of Season 50.
What about Rick?
Friend. I want him to be the Captain Kirk to my Mr. Spock. Kobayashi Maru this s—t. I could totally see I'm plotting photon torpedo trajectories, and he's beaming down on away missions. Basically, I want that. I think we get along. I've never met him, but I just know we get along and, and. And I can imagine a world where I'm like, "Here Rick, here's some ideas. Let's step out around some ideas. Let's do this at Tribal." And that man would ham it up so hard at Tribal. There are so many weird inside vote split opportunities with raised and lost votes that force different kinds of consensus discussions. Could you imagine what he would do in one of those things? And he'd be out in front doing it! He's a person that I would gladly go to the end with, because I think we have actually perfectly in line threat profiles. There's no reason for us to target each other.
Who's the Bones in this situation?
I think that Colby would be Bones. The other would be Mike White. He was like, "I'm done with this s—t."
Robert Voets/CBS
Let's move into the new era. Give me your thoughts on Jonathan.
Friend. I think I can get him on my side. I think that I remind him of Omar. Of Omar in the good ways, but not the ways he doesn't like. I think that I can play that. But I think that from watching Jonathan, I think I could recognize the signs of when he turned on Omar. So I can be aware of when that's likely to happen.
Dee.
[Exhales.] Foe. I think that she is so well-connected. I think that if there's a threat of there being a new school alliance, she is going to be near the center of it. I want to play a little bit more "get the goat" this season, but also a little more "get the glue." You got to get out that acetone. And I don't want to ruin her beautiful, gorgeous hair in person. It's f—king phenomenal. But the acetone has got to come out. And I think that she's a prime target. Nothing to do with the fact that she won. Everything to do with the skill she has that allowed her to win.
Let's talk about Emily. Because the two of you are friends, and have played a few of these "Blood on the Clocktower" social strategy games together. So what are your thoughts on her now?
Emily is a Friend. However, she's an excellent liar. At least in my opinion, I have a hard time telling if she lies. So full disclosure here, Mike and I, we've played a lot of "Blood on the Clocktower" together. A social strategy game, this hidden roles game. And we have done this with Emily Flippen. And Emily Flippen went to "ClockTowerCon." She's very talented. But I think that she's also one of the people who's going to need some allies early on. I think she's very worried early on.
But the other thing, don't sleep on Emily Flippen. She's very good at lowering expectations of her and therefore her threat profile. I think that she does this intentionally. I think she's very good at it. I think that her demeanor is such that she comes across like, "I'm worried I'm gonna go home first. But I'll just hang out and I'll drink martinis at Ponderosa." But she's actually here to play.
How about Charlie?
Charlie, Foe. So, primarily, I think he's amazing. I think that he has all these skills. The reason he is a foe is because of how normal he is. I have a full-on hypothesis as to why the season was put together, and Charlie is one of the people who clinched that.
Well, now we have to get into that!
So basically, I remember there were leaks about the cast that dropped a few days before it was officially announced. I looked at this list. It's like, "This list makes sense. This list makes a lot of sense. It's got me, and it's got Mike White on it. And I know deep down, Mike White would play. That's unsurprising. So this is a real list."
And so I'm looking at this list, but there's some choices. I'm like, "Why is this person on there?" And you see three alpha male dude figures. You got your Joe, Jonathan Young, and also Ozzy. So they're trios. The season is cast in trios.
This is me putting down my nickel on this hypothesis. There are four major categories, three men, three women from each. There are the challenge beasts. That's Ozzy, Joe, and Jonathan Young. There's women challenge beasts. That's Tiff, that is Chrissy and Stephenie LaGrossa. Then you have the drama. You got your Coach, you got your Q. I am so far to go to say the "RizGod" might be some source of drama is actually helped me slide in. This is actually helping me slide in where our last two 49ers come from.
So for the women who are drama…To be clear, all these people can be strategic and good and challenges. This is why they're on the season. They know they will deliver drama. I think you got Angelina. I think you got Jenna Lewis. I listened to her old podcast from 2005; the woman will stir the pot. And I think Savannah slides into that last slot; I'm not sure about here, though. I have thoughts. Then you have the people who are there for comic relief and witty commentary to camera in confessionals. That's me, that's Rick Devens, that's Mike. That's Aubry, that's Emily Flippen and that's Kamilla.
Then you have this final category where Charlie lies, which are the favorites. These are the people who are there because they are most likely to be excellent winners. And these are people, they have a lot of these characteristics, but frankly, they read as normal. I mean, certainly compared to people that are cast for comedy and commentary by contrast. I mean, that's where Charlie fits, that's where Kyle fits, that's where Colby fits. Now Colby just awoke from Survivor cryo sleep. I don't know how he'll do out here. I mean, you never know, but he's there because he's likable and normal.
And for the women, I mean, that's where Dee falls into place. That's where Genevieve and, frankly, Cirie [fall]. Those six are the favorites. I don't have a target list on this season. But insofar as one would exist, it is those six that they are in the way of winning. I have to acknowledge I'm not here to be the hero. I'm here because they know I will say funny things to camera. Not that I can't win. I absolutely can. I mean, Yam Yam can win. But if you're betting at the blackjack table, those six are you the ones you bet on.

So let's talk about one of those drama guys in Q. Friend or Foe?
Currently a Foe. I think I made eye contact with him once. I don't know if he was trying to size me up, to eat me. I'm not sure. But it's like he puts up this distortion field around the game. And really, that's the reason I don't know if I can play a good game when he's on my tribe. I think about all these weird plans that came into play because he's there as a distraction. He's a reality distortion field. Maybe that would help me out if I was there, if it would distract me from being a target. I don't know. But currently, Foe.
Tiffany.
Friend. I actually think she would be a wonderful, completely unknown alliance partner. I hope that she would like me. I think she followed me on Instagram a day before I left. So I should have said hi or something, but I didn't want to say anything. But I would love to get on the beach with her and then connect with her. We'll see.
Genevieve. She was in your six "favorites."
She's in my six. But I would work with her. She wants to learn about the power of emotion, Mike. And who better than from a robotics research scientist? She's very bright. The thing is, in a way, she's an odd but interesting relationship replacement for Gabby for me. She's not Gabby in many, many ways. But I think that she's a person that she wants a stable ally. She had to work with Andy last time.
And I remember listening to all these people's voices in my head in their podcast, where I'm sitting next to them and I'm looking at them and listening about what their regrets are from their seasons. And Genevieve is like, "I wanted to work with Andy, but it just wasn't stable." Well, I could be a stable ally for you, at least in the meantime! And the reason that the Christian/Gabby relationship did not work in the long run is because there was a disparity in credit. There's no world where I think Genevieve comes across as not having agency in the position she makes.
Joe.
Friend, hopefully. I hope he likes the cut of my jib. I do have a minor connection with him through Eva. Eva and I worked in the same robotics laboratory.
Oh, I didn't know this!
Yeah, we've actually worked in the same building at Georgia Tech for a while. We did not overlap; we just missed each other. So I think that she would have mentioned to Joe. Because we even I talked during her season and talked, "Oh, what did you work on? What do you work on now?" We work with similar fields. And so maybe there's something there.
Now, does he take that to the bank? No. But that's the other aspect of trios thing. That's how you build a tribe. There's eight of each character type. Three tribes of eight. It's trios. That's how you build a tribe. So odds are I'm gonna be on a tribe with Jonathan, with Ozzy or with Joe. So if I'm good with Ozzy, Jonathan or Joe, odds are one of those is gonna be on my tribe.
How about Kamilla?
Oh God, I don't want to make of her resting assassin face. I don't know.
Better than the resting murder face!
Better than the resting murder face, yes. Colby, I don't know if he's annoyed to be there. But Kamilla, it's a problem, because sure, she's known for lying. That's the thing. She made it her reputation that she's known for lying, and she's on in the Season 48 trio. The 46 and 48 trios are good distractions. But I mean, I think she wants old school Survivor blood in her breakfast cereal.
What about Kyle? He's also in your "Favorites" group.
Kyle's in my six. I think that Kyle is definitely, if you have an opportunity in the premerge, take him out. You have to get some of these favorites off the board before you hit the merge. If there are too many, one will slip into the end.
How about the Season 49 players? Besides slotting them into casting types, what are your thoughts on them?
I think that the RizGod — well, first off, I don't know what kind of god he is. I don't know if he's a benevolent god, a vengeful god. I don't know if he's part of the Greek pantheon. He's the God of
Riz. I don't know why the RizGod walks among us, but clearly, he's so cocky. It just comes across, not only in his confessionals. There's one confessional we saw before we left. I think the answer's Foe. He's a crazy fan. I found his record of LRG placements. He played in a live reality game version of The Mole, alive reality game version of Big Brother. He's the superfan this season. It ain't me, that's for sure. It's him. And he's on the season for a reason. I mean, he reads as tall, athletic Ryan Ulrich. That's the way he reads to me. And so he clearly did something.
And the other thing is, there's a strong possibility one of these two won their season. The reason being is that you have two winners, but probably three tribes. That's the hypothesis. If any one of those is on the third tribe without a winner, maybe they won. That's the hypothesis. But I think that he's a Foe. I think that he's trouble.
I think that the other thing is that you rarely get to use the advice you would have from a first time playing again for returning player season. But one of the pieces of advice is, if you're sizing up new opponents on a reality show, you look at their face, and you say, "What's the first thing you think?" Because they're not normal people on the street. You should not judge a book by the cover in normal life. But these are not normal people. We are strange folk! We are selected by casting to give a particular impression to the audience. So if the first-cut thing is like, "This person seems a little steamy to me," you have to listen to that.
And often, as we know, what's the record of these immediate turnaround players coming back on all the seasons? Pretty good. Rupert. I mean, Aubry and Zeke both made it pretty deepish to the merge, and deep into the merge. Zeke is, I think, the one who did the worst placement of all of them, and Zeke was an intelligent guy. And so I think that him and Savannah, I think it might be the time to break that tradition and say, "The RizGod, maybe one day I'll be one of your Rizbyterians. But they might not be today."
Which previous player do you wish were out here on the island with you right now?
Davie. It would be nice to have a person from my season who I didn't think wanted to cut my throat all the time. That would be nice. I mean, I have personal bias there. But the obvious snubs, I mean, is Jesse and Carolyn from the 40s. I mean, they're such giant characters. Jesse delivered the exact kind of move that Survivor wants from the new era. So not having him, it would be nice to have a different target out there as well. Can I get back to Savannah for a second?
Of course!
So Savannah, I think that she fits in the drama category. Let's pretend that my mathematical hypothesis is not correct. But I tried to remember from the preview. I wish I had listened very closely to the voices. There were a lot of people saying very threatening things in the voiceover, one of which was being about being a mermaid who would lure and drown men at will. I wish I listened to that voice more to know if that was Savannah.
And if that was Savannah, now we're dealing with a different character type. We're dealing with the more Parvati character type, right? Like, "Oh, this is a person who likes to play the flirt card and move things forward." I think that'd be a little bit redundant with Dee. I think that's what Dee did very, very well. I mean, she's talented in many ways, but that's one of the extra spices that Dee will bring. She was able to wrap Austin around her finger, was the way it was portrayed at least, so that'd be a little redundant with that. But I think that maybe she was a big, big mover and shaker.
So the funny thing about Savannah is, when I was back in LA, I got onto the shuttle bus to go to the hotel. And I get on the shuttle bus, and a young woman offers to have me sit next to her. And I'm like, "Oh, that's okay. I'm good. I'll stand in the back. It's alright." And it was Savannah. I had no idea. I mean, I saw a picture of her from various lists online. I was like, "Okay, these are the people allegedly on the season." But people look a little different in their lives. She's got the smoky eye thing going on. I mean, that's not an accident. She wants you. She is potentially dangerous. So Foe, to be clear.
But the funny thing, I did not know. Because I was doing my last phone call with my wife, Emily. My own wife at home, who was my girlfriend, who was on the show the first time. And I was glad I was speaking in very, very harsh tones. Because I almost gave away my biggest secret, which is…six weeks ago, I had a baby.
[Gasps.] Oh my god! Congratulations. Oh my god. How are you feeling right now?
I'm doing okay at the moment. It's a lot. So I'm not playing just for me this time.
Are you gonna tell people at all?
It's a secret right now!
Are you gonna Jeremy Collins it and reveal it at the final Tribal Council?
I don't know if I'm gonna Jeremy Collins it. But that's on the table. There's a lot of ways that I could use it right now. What it is for me is it's a motivation that none of these people know I have. I think people will think that, "Oh, I'm a goofy professor who farts in front of Colby. I'm here for the fun." And I intentionally look a little sort of awestruck around the environment, which is true and real, and it's me. But I don't think they know what I'm ready to fight for, that I have someone to fight for this time that's different than last time. Rarely do people come in with a secret on their second time that could change how they play. And he's my secret weapon. His name is Michael, actually. Michael Bloom Hubicki.
Christian, I'm honored! [Laughs.]
[Laughs.] No. But I'll never forget. It was back in August. I originally got my call from CBS, and they're like, "Would you be interested in going on 50 in 10 months?" It's like, "Well, I just got a phone call saying they're having a baby in nine." And so Emily and I talked this through, how we're going to do this, and we found a way. I guess you had no idea. We played Clocktower together a couple of weeks ago. It's very much under wraps.
I recorded me reading baby books to him, so he has this long bond. I bought a robotic baby bed to soothe him to sleep, so that Emily can get more sleep at night. I tried to give him a blanket that smelled like me, so we have some reminder of what I'm like. But it's five weeks that I'm gone, that I'm not there. So I really feel like I have to make this mean something.
Brings a new meaning to "Get that money, baby!"
I mean, look, my baby will survive without a million dollars. I understand college is expensive, so maybe not. But someday he's gonna watch this. And I sort of bring this all back to the end of my first season, I went out seventh place, as all fans probably remember. And I dodged so many bullets to get there, crazy plays were happening around me ,and because of me sometimes, to get as far as I could. And at that point, I got voted out, and it's disappointing. But it's my time. I had it coming; I made mistakes. And I felt great, and still feel great about what I did that season. But as time goes on, I'm like, "Why did that have to be my time?" Was there more in the tank I could have actually done? Why can't it be me to be the winner?
And now I have to think about the example I'm setting for Michael. I don't want him to limit himself as to what he can accomplish. I don't want him to think that seventh place is good enough on this reality show. You should be lucky to be there. Are you happy to be there? No, those other people should be happy to be there! I should win! So that's the way I see Michael entering my game this season. And we'll see how far that takes me. Hopefully the win.
There Was Actually More to Chappell Roan’s Grammys Red-Carpet Look Than Met the Eye
Chappell Roan did more than turn heads at last night’s Grammy Awards. She dropped jaws.
Never one to miss out on making a bold fashion statement, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter arrived at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles wearing a barely-there, wine-hued Mugler gown that appeared to be hanging from a pair of nipple piercings.
Taking the ensemble to another level, she wore a sheer under-layer showing off intricate, full-body tattoos.
However, according to Roan’s makeup artist, Andrew Dahling, per Marie Claire, Roan’s “Mugler medieval fantasy” look bore a couple secrets: It was actually affixed with prosthetic nipples and featured tons of faux ink.
“There was so much going on — the tattoos, the prosthetic nipples, all of it, but overall we wanted everything to feel cohesive and really honor the dress and the medieval world we were living in,” Dahling said.
Styled by Genesis Webb, Roan's wild look was designed to push boundaries. We'll leave it to Vanity Fair to really dissect the look and reveal its hidden meaning.
"The dress is a contemporary recreation by Castro Freitas of a haute couture set that the late Manfred Thierry Mugler showed on the runway for his eponymous label back in 1998," Vanity Fair explained. "On that runway, the silk slip was suspended from the models’ very real nipple rings. It is a classic Mugler piece that made a splash back then, which it did once more tonight."
Though Roan’s red-carpet look was one of the most-buzzed-about topics of last night’s awards show, the artist changed looks before presenting the award for Best New Artist.
The second look (seen above in the hero image) was a demure goddess gown meant to highlight "shape to the eyes — glamour, glitz, metallics in strategic places to make her eyes pop,” Dahling said. “Cool tones, lots of cool tones — lavenders.”
Roan herself was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance (which went to Lola Young) and Record of the Year (which went to Kendrick Lamar with SZA) for her latest hit, “The Subway.”
Of course, the "Pink Pony Club" princess wasn’t the only stunner strutting the carpet. Heidi Klum, dressed in the tightest little Marina Hoermanseder latex naked dress; Teyana Taylor, in sparkly Tom Ford; and Kehlani, in a sheer black gown by Valdrin Sahiti, all got the au naturel memo and looked out of this world.

Kenan Thompson Talking About Leaving 'SNL' After 23 Years
It's been just over 20 years since Kenan Thompson joined the central cast of NBC's long-running sketch comedy series,Saturday Night Live.
In that interim, Thompson has appeared alongside some of the most widely praised performers to ever walk across SNL's sound stage, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Bowen Yang and many more.
For as long as the 47-year-old Thompson has been around on Saturday Night Live, however, he's also admitted to occasionally thinking about leaving the hit comedy series more than a few times during his 23 years at the show.
Speaking with People magazine, Thompson recently revealed that he has sometimes thought about exiting the series after two decades.
"I definitely do. It's, it's gonna suck," Thompson said when asked for his thoughts about eventually leaving SNL. "There's just so many layers to it. It's not just the on-screen that you see in that one, you know, camera shot. It's so many people behind the scenes and years and years and years with each one of those people. So it's gonna be a lot."
"I might have to just rip the bandaid and run out the back door and not say nothing to nobody and just write letters," the 47-year-old comedian humorously joked.
Continuing on, Thompson said the experience of leaving the series would contrast greatly with the goodbyes he shared with so many other past SNL cast members, including the recent departures of breakout talents like Heidi Gardner and Bowen Yang.
"It's tough for me because I have yet to have the moment," Thompson said. "You know, if I was on the other side of it, I'd be a little more like, 'Yeah, you know, it's all good,' like, 'Shake it off' kind of thing. But, like, I'm dreading the moment. I might collapse in the moment because it's been so many years and so many relationships and just..."
"That's gonna be a drastic change at this point that I never thought, you know, SNL would be such a large component in my life," the comic continued. "I never thought I'd even get the job in the first place."
Captain Jason Chambers Teases the 'Strongest Team' in 'Below Deck' History (Exclusive)
When Below Deck Down Under fans tune into the Season 4 premiere, they’ll notice a major shift on the motor yacht. Captain Jason Chambers is back, but this time, he’s leading what he calls the "A-Team"—a collection of the most seasoned veterans of the franchise. With Sailing Yacht’sDaisy Kelliher stepping in as Chief Stew and the surprise return of OG Chef Ben Robinson, Jason admits that having this level of experience on board was a double-edged sword.
“I think from Season 1, I've always strived to try and get the best out of the season as we can… It was really an exciting moment for me to know that I had some strength around me,” the Australian captain exclusively tells Parade. However, he quickly learned that even the best in the business require a firm hand. “Just when you think the A-team should be knocking it out of the ballpark… sometimes the captain's got to put it all back together again.”
Perhaps the most shocking revelation from Jason is how Ben ended up in the Caribbean. It wasn't a months-long casting process—it was a chance encounter at an Outback Steakhouse in Florida. "I was in Fort Lauderdale visiting a friend on my way down to the Caribbean, and I walked in and saw Ben… we sat down at the table, and we got to know each other very quickly,” Jason recalls. “Funny enough, 48 hours later, we had a chef drop out. We put the call out there, and he put his knives in his bag and he was down there within half a day.”
Despite Ben's legendary status in the galley, Jason admits the "emergency" nature of the hire meant the chef had to fight through some "cobwebs" to get back into the groove. “He wasn't destined to come back," Jason says. "I'm sure he must have had an internal struggle going on that first, first few charters.”
One of the biggest adjustments for Jason was the absence of his longtime partner-in-yachting, Aesha Scott. While Jason was happy for Aesha’s move back to the Mediterranean, he admits he had some initial nerves about Daisy. “I was hesitant with Daisy at the start… I wondered whether she's going to enjoy her experience,” Jason admits. But it didn't take long for the Chief Stew to prove her worth. “Her passion for the actual job is there… her first thought is to perform at A level."
With a crew of known leaders—including returning deck veteran João Franco, who is now a captain himself—Jason had to evolve his own leadership style. He explains that he had to fight his own ego to let the experienced crew "write their own chapters."
“Go back a decade ago, I probably would have stepped in just because of ego… and that's the way I want it to be done,” Jason admits. “But mine's not always the way… you've got to learn to let people breathe, and I certainly had to do that this season.”
Below Deck Down Under Season 4 premieres tonight, February 2 on Bravo at 8/7c.
Founding KISS Drummer Recalls Bizarre First Conversation With Gene Simmons
In the early 70s, KISS was still looking for its main members, with Gene Simmons fronting the search and finding his new drummer thanks to a newspaper ad. KISS drummer Peter Criss details how a strange phone call with Simmons ultimately led him to join the legendary rock band.
Criss spoke with Rock Candy Magazine for their February issue, reliving the early days of KISS. Simmons was looking for a new band after his time with Chelsea and Lips had come to an end, with Criss's ad in the local paper capturing his interest. It led Simmons to ring up the drummer and ask a series of bizarre yet intriguing questions.
"I put an ad in a local paper and that's when Gene Simmons called. He asked me. 'Are you tall? Are you good-looking? 'Do you have long hair? Are you willing to wear a dress and high heels? Are you willing to wear lipstick?" said Criss, according to Loudersound.
"I couldn't believe what he was asking me, but those questions fascinated me. I said to my wife at the time, 'I've got to meet this guy'."
The drummer added that he knew he needed to show up to the audition wearing the right outfit, and it just so happened that he and his wife were in London on their honeymoon where he purchased "really cool clothes."
"So when I went down to Electric Lady Studios in New York to meet Gene and Paul for the first time I was really dolled up. Gene told me later that day he thought I was a rock star going into the studio to make an album," he recalled.

Criss ended up being the right man for the job and became the third member of KISS after founding members Paul Stanley and Simmons. Soon after finding their drummer, they found their lead guitarist, Ace Frehley.
In the same way they found Criss, they found Frehley thanks to another newspaper ad looking for a guitarist. The KISS drummer reveals they had auditioned a few people before Frehley "made an entrance" during someone else's audition.
"There was some other guy already playing, but Ace didn't care. He walked right by the guy, plugged in, and started playing himself. And we all turned around, looked at one another, and went 'Holy sh*t!'. He was in straight away," said Criss.
A few years after KISS formed in 1973, Criss left the band in 1980 over reported personal issues, musical differences, and conflicts with the other members. He briefly returned in 1996 for the reunion and left in 2004, and was replaced permanently by Eric Singer, who took on his Catman persona.
‘60s Supermodel Twiggy, 76, Is Unrecognizable on the Red Carpet Without Her Legendary Pixie Cut
Twiggy rose to stardom as one of the world's first supermodels, but she's just as stunning in 2026 without her famous pixie cut.
Known as Dame Lesley Lawson in real life, Twiggy, 76, hit the fast track as the British beauty known for her short hair and long lashes during the swinging '60s. These days, Twiggy is doing better than ever and is still occasionally spotted hitting the red carpet for big events. While her memorable haircut has long since left the building, the blonde beauty still looks incredible. This week, she hit the Girls On Film Awards 2026 at Curzon Bloomsbury in London, England. Sporting a navy suit and bright blue eyeliner, Twiggy still has that unconventional fashion sense she was always known for.

How She Got That Legendary HaircutBack in 2020, Twiggy made an appearance on Jessie Ware’s Table Manners and opened up about how she came to have that iconic cut, which she originally didn’t want in the first place. Too intimidated to turn down British stylist Leonard Lewis, she acquiesced.
“I went in to have it shampooed and set and Leonard saw me and he said, ‘Let me do my new haircut on you,'” Twiggy told Ware during the podcast, PEOPLE reported.
“I’d been growing my hair,” she explained. “For a moment, I kind of went, ‘I don’t know whether I want my hair cut.’ But I was in this very posh salon in Mayfair, so I was a bit too shy to say I don’t want it done, and I kind of nodded.”
Twiggy returned the next day and was there for seven hours to undergo the cut and color. When a photographer took a few snaps of her, Lewis hung the photos in the salon.
“Leonard put it up in the salon, and a journalist saw it,” Twiggy said. “That’s how it all happened… When that haircut started, when that photograph was taken, that was the pivotal moment.”
On her Instagram page, Twiggy occasionally posts throwback photos of herself with the fan-favorite cut.

Winter isn't over yet, and if you thought you were out the other end of it, well, think again. With cold fronts sweeping across the country and one of the chilliest months still ahead, staying warm with the right layers is a top priority.
Thankfully, Old Navy has us covered this winter with a can't-miss price drop on one of the retail giant's most reliable seasonal fits: the Western Canvas Puffer Jacket. Available in a two-toned Panther colorway for just $22.49, this essential layer is a no-brainer pickup for anyone in need of a dependable winter coat that doesn't break the bank.
Western Canvas Puffer Jacket, $22.49 at Old NavyOld Navy
In times like these, when winter temperatures reach single digits, the right coat can be the difference between a warm and cozy outing and one spent shivering until you're back inside. And considering this stylish find generally sells for upwards of $90 when not on sale, snagging it for just $23 feels like an absolute steal.
Sporting a classic mock neck, long sleeves with elastic cuffs, a full-snap placket, deep front pockets and a relaxed-fit cropped just below the waist, this stylish winter coat pairs a familiar silhouette with timeless design details. Its quilted shell is made of 100 percent cotton canvas, and its faux-leather yoke is 85 percent viscose rayon and 15 percent polyester, making it durable, soft to the touch, and comfortable enough for layering on cold days.
Speaking of layering for extra cold weather, having a puffer coat like this in your rotation means you can ditch many of the multiple layers you'd normally wear with lighter coats, giving you more breathing room and easier maneuverability throughout the day. Plus, when you're inside, grabbing a drink at the bar with a friend or sitting down at a restaurant, you have fewer layers to manage and keep track of while indoors.
If you're considering this classic jacket, you'll be pleased to know that the Panther colorway is still available online in sizes S–XXXXL, in both regular and tall fits. If a lighter, warmer color is more your style, the jacket is also available in the Doe A Deer colorway for $28.99, but only in sizes XL and above, so move fast.

"Warmest coat I've ever bought," one fan raved in a review. "This coat helped me survive a snowy trip to NYC where the temps were in the 20's," they added, concluding, "on sale, it was too good to pass up."
Another fan chimed in, calling the jacket a "premium" find, while a third echoed the sentiment, calling it a "versatile" layer that is "durable, thick and warm."
Don't wait any longer to add this must-have coat to your winter rotation. There's no telling how long this deal will last, and sizes are flying off the rack fast. While you're at it, check out Old Navy's brushed topcoat and cable-knit sweater for more iconic seasonal styles.

Costco Just Issued a Recall for a Popular Bakery Item Sold in 22 States — Here’s What Shoppers Should Know
If you've recently purchased an item from Costco's bakery, the warehouse giant has just issued a recall for one of its products.
The big box retailer's recall notice is for a mislabeled bakery item that could lead to an allergic reaction in customers who consume it.
The product in question is the newest one getting plenty of attention on social media—Mini Beignets filled with Caramel.
The issue comes due to a packaging mix-up that exposes customers to a potentially life-threatening allergen.
While Costco has two versions of the mini beignets available now, the one filled with caramel was "inadvertently packaged with Mini Beignets filled with Chocolate Hazelnut."
The mislabeled units contain "undeclared Tree Nuts," according to the company's recall announcement.
What Should You Do If You Have Costco's Recalled Beignets? The statement further added, "If you are allergic to Hazelnuts/Filberts, do not consume this product."
As for next steps, customers are advised to "Please return it to Costco for a full refund." The pillowy beignets come in a pack of 22, with both flavors retailing for $9.99.
Where Were Costco's Recalled Beignets Sold? The recall notice applies to the item purchased anywhere from Jan. 16 through the 30th across 22 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington.
The mini beignets were revived ahead of the Mardi Gras season, as the ones with Chocolate Hazelnut Filling are a festive recreation of the iconic New Orleans treat.
While these have always been a fan-favorite, with shoppers rejoicing whenever they graced the shelves for a brief moment to bring comfort and indulgence throughout the winter months, another beignet came to steal their thunder with the introduction of Caramel Beignets, included in the aforementioned recall
While the bakery section at Costco is getting plenty of positive buzz lately, the recall also comes amid broader scrutiny of Costco's food labeling practices through a class-action lawsuit.
Filed on Jan. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California accuses Costco of falsely advertising its Kirkland Signature Seasoned Rotisserie Chicken as containing “no preservatives.” However, according to the complaint, the chicken actually includes two ingredients the plaintiffs say qualify as preservatives: sodium phosphate and carrageenan.

Daisy Kelliher Admits She Was Intimidated Jumping to 'Below Deck Down Under': 'I Was Absolutely Bricking It' (Exclusive)
Daisy Kelliher wasn’t ready to hang up her epaulets just because Below Deck Sailing Yacht seemed to take an indefinite filming hiatus. In fact, the fan-favorite Chief Stew felt like her journey on the high seas was far from over.
“We didn't film for a year. And it definitely felt like my time with Below Deck as a whole franchise felt like it was ending prematurely,” Daisy, 38, exclusively tells Parade. “I really did hope that they were kind of going to put me on to another franchise… it really felt like everything kind of fell into the place that it should have been.”
That place turned out to be Season 4 of Below Deck Down Under, working alongside the very popular Captain Jason Chambers. While the fundamental tasks of interior service are relatively the same, Daisy quickly learned that trading a sailboat for a motor yacht came with its own set of physical hurdles—namely, the sheer size of the vessel.
“This boat was definitely bigger, it was taller. There was a lot of stairs,” Daisy notes, adding that the verticality of the vessel became a point of contention with the galley. “I definitely thought [the] stairs were going to lead to conflict between the galley and the interior, but we managed.”
The "conflict" she feared didn't take long to materialize while coming head-to-head with the legendary returning chef Ben Robinson. While Daisy is obviously no stranger to strong-headed chefs, she says it was a unique challenge to manage her relationship with Ben. "He's quite a strange person," she admits. "He is talented, he is passionate about his job… but there is very much a specific way you need to tackle Ben. You need to speak to him. I think there’s a lot of other people that would have really crumbled with Ben."
The physical distance created by the boat's layout only exacerbated things. "He was like, 'You could do this for 30 seconds,' [when] you were on those stairs," she recalls of their timing issues. "He is definitely not for the faint-hearted."
However, the biggest adjustment started from the very first meeting where she came face-to-face with franchise veterans João Franco and Robinson. Despite her years of experience, Daisy admits the lineup left her a bit rattled. "I think I come across as kind of cool and collected. I was not. I was absolutely bricking it,” she confesses. “I definitely walked away from that going very nervous, feeling very intimidated… obviously the impression they left on me from watching their seasons where they were very strong personalities, definitely had conflict with their Chief Stews.”
The most surprising dynamic of the season, however, may be her relationship with the historically polarizing bosun, which eventually turns romantic, as teased in the trailer. “I think you're gonna see a different side to [João]. I think this year, he is definitely kind of more sensitive and maybe more supportive,” Daisy tells Parade. “He was very supportive with me, and I think kind of coming off of maybe some conflict I had with previous cast members that felt kind of nice for me… It’s so nice, João is somebody so supportive of me.”
For Dasiy, the jump to Down Under wasn't just a career move; it was a chance to prove she could hold her own in any corner of the Below Deck universe. “I was excited to see if I could actually do it on another franchise, see if I actually could work with another captain on a different kind of boat with a different crew,” she says. "I don't feel quite done with this.”
Below Deck Down Under Season 4 premieres tonight, February 2 on Bravo at 8/7c.

HBO Max’s Next Big Hit? 'This Is Us' Star Milo Ventimiglia Leads Gritty New Cop Drama From 'Supernatural' Boss
HBO Max seems to have the Golden Ticket when it comes to producing hits. The streamer has hit the motherlode with shows like The Pitt, The White Lotus and Euphoria. Part of the success with these series is having a big-name star attached to it. With The Pitt, it was Noah Wyle. WithThe White Lotus, the star power changed with each season. Now, the streamer has American Blue, a pilot starring This is Us' Milo Ventimiglia with David Ayer to direct.
The cop drama comes from Supernatural showrunner Jeremy Carver, who has an overall deal with Warner Bros Television. Written by Carver, American Blue follows Brian "Milk" Milkovich (Ventimiglia), who returns home to Joliet, Illinois, to revive a strained police force while seeking absolution of his own. Milk is a natural-born leader, hoping to find a second chance in a town he left behind.
“American Blue will take audiences inside a gritty and authentic police drama, reflecting the myriad challenges in policing today,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Max Original Programming.
If ordered to series, it will likely follow The Pitt model of a 15-episode season. “As with The Pitt, our goal of longer seasons will allow viewers to sink deeply into this world across multiple episodes and to return to it on an annual basis. We can’t wait for Jeremy Carver’s vision for American Blue to come to life with Milo Ventimiglia in the lead role and David Ayer directing our pilot," said Aubrey.

“We are thrilled to have Milo and David join American Blue,” said Clancy Collins White, President, Creative Affairs, Warner Bros Television. “Milo’s dynamic presence on-screen and David’s keen eye are a perfect match for the complex, character-driven drama that Jeremy created. We look forward to seeing this trio bring Milk’s journey to life.”
Ventimiglia starred for six seasons on This is Us as Jack, the patriarch of the Pearson family, who is deceased at the beginning of the series. He previously starred in American Dreams, Heroes, and Gilmore Girls. He stars in the upcoming Netflix limited series, I Will Find You, based on a Harlen Coben novel of the same name.

The Ring 2026 Super Bowl Commercial Will Bring You to Tears
Anyone who's had a dog run away or gotten separated from a beloved pet in any other circumstances knows how stressful, heart wrenching and scary it is. (I write this from firsthand experience: One of my own rescues once got spooked by a toddler, busted out of her harness and hid under a stopped car at a red light in an intersection, pretty much giving my husband and me heart attacks until some very kind strangers helped coax her out into their car to bring her home. Then we just hugged her, cried a lot and got stronger harnesses, some carabiners to reinforce them and a new trainer to manage her anxiety. But I digress!)
In their new Super Bowl commercial, Ring appeals to all of us who've lived in the fear and sorrow that comes with having a lost dog and offers a new tool to get your four-legged family members back home.
The ad shows reunions between lost dogs and the families who love them, so you'll want to have some tissues handy during the Big Game this year.

In the spot, which premiered on YouTube on Feb. 2, 2026,Ring founder (and dog lover) Jamie Siminoffdiscusses how, while 10 million dogs go missing each year, people still use old-school searching methods like "missing" posters to find their lost fur babies.
"Pets are family, but every year, 10 million go missing," Siminoff says in voice over as a dad and his teary-eyed daughter, a young adult man and an elderly woman each staple "missing" and "lost dog" posters to utility poles throughout the seasons. "And the way we look for them hasn't changed in years ... until now."
A beaming Siminoff shows off his phone screen and describes how the Ring app can help find our precious pooches.

"If it weren't for the Ring Neighbors app, there's no way this would’ve been possible," she said. "There was no identification—Nyx is microchipped, but not everybody knows to check for that, and sometimes people just assume when dogs don't have a collar that they just don't have a home."

Another user, Kurt of Surprise, Ariz., had his service dog Lainey go missing from his yard for hours.
"I received Lainey from a wonderful organization called Soldier's Best Friend," he said. "They pair veterans with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and TBIs (traumatic brain injuries) with dogs and help us get back into society."
"The morning Lainey went missing, I went outside and realized she had used one of the garbage bins to jump the [6 '0"] fence," he recalled. "I freaked out. I started calling her name, shaking a treat bag," he recalled. "Anything that's attracted her before. At that point, I was terrified."

"I figured it was worth a shot," he said of the Search Party tool. "I've seen plenty of people on there with notices about animals, and figured anything was worth a shot since we're out in Arizona. There are a lot of coyotes and a lot of animals getting hit, so recovering her as quickly as possible was the best bet."
Around 8 p.m. the same day, Kurt said, someone posted that they'd found Lainey.
"It was a major weight off of my chest," he said.

Ben Affleck’s Super Bowl Dunkin’ Ad Features a Jennifer Fans Will Recognize
Ben Affleck returns for yet another collaboration with Dunkin', featuring a Y2K Jennifer that fans will recognize.
No, the Jennifer in question isn't Affleck's exes Jennifer Garner or Jennifer Lopez. It's Jennifer Aniston, who teamed up with the actor/director and some other famous faces for the fun spot.
At the beginning of the commercial, Affleck is seen removing a tape from a VHS player. On it is a label that reads "Network Pilot 95."
Affleck tells Aniston, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), and her Friends co-star, Matt LeBlanc, "Jen, Matt, I got a pitch for you. Reactions, thoughts, love, affection?"

Alexander says to LeBlanc, "I don't think he directed [2013 Oscar-winner] Argo" as Affleck rambled on. "Did I tell you I burned it, destroyed all the copies? Yes, I did."
But the twist came after Affleck said, "Good news. I lied to you," leading LeBlanc to respond, 'Can I get a copy?"
"No one can see this," deadpanned Aniston. "It's only gonna air once," Affleck added. "Oh God, Matthew," she replied.
The pilot was not revealed, and there's no indication of what Affleck plans to bring back. But, according to a press release, "It’s either Ben’s greatest forgotten masterpiece…or something you’d beg him to destroy."
This is the second time Affleck and Aniston have partnered. They first teamed up for the 2009 ensemble film comedy, He's Just Not That Into You.
LeBlanc and Aniston worked together for 10 seasons of the NBC comedy Friends. The long-running series cemented the actors as two of television’s most recognizable stars.
Alexander had a guest spot on Friends, on the seventh-season episode, "The One Where Rosita Dies" as Earl, a suicidal supply manager whom Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow) called while working as a telemarketer. Neither Aniston nor LeBlanc worked with the Seinfeld star in the episode.
Ben Affleck also starred in Dunkin's 2023, 2024, and 2025 Super Bowl ads. He was featured in the 2023 commercial "Drive-Thru" (with Lopez), 2024's "DunKings" (with Matt Damon and Tom Brady), and 2025's "DunKings 2" (with Casey Affleck, Jeremy Strong, and Bill Belichick).
The full commercial airs during Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8.
Singer and Former 'Voice' Contestant Dead at 26 After Snake Bite
The Voice community has lost a rising star, with singerIfunanya Nwangene's death having been confirmed. Nwangene died at the age of 26 following complications from a snake bite on Jan. 31.
Music director Sam C. Ezugwu, with Amemuso Choir, which Nwangene participated in, confirmed her death in a Facebook post on Sunday, Feb. 1. He and other choir members detailed the circumstances of her "sudden" death as well as BBC Africa.
"Amemuso Choir [regrets] to announce the sudden demise of our beloved soprano,” the choir wrote. “A rising star, Ifunanya was on the cusp of sharing her incredible talent with the world. Her voice and spirit will be deeply missed," they posted.

According to the details provided, The Voice Africa Season 3 contestant was asleep in her home in Abuja when she was awoken by a snake bite. The singer and architect quickly dought out treatment at a local clinic, but learned there was no antivenom to administer.
Nwangene then sought assistance at another hospital, stated to be the Federal Medical Center. Ezugwu stated that the hospital only had one of the required antivenoms to treat the singer, stating, "while they were trying to stabilise her, she could not speak, but she could make hand gestures. She was struggling to breathe."
The music director even drove around looking for the missing antivenom, but had returned to the hospital to find her dead. In a statement, the hospital denies that the antivenom was unavailable and Nwangene's condition had already worsened when being transferred from the local clinic.
"Our medical staff provided immediate and appropriate treatment, including resuscitation efforts, intravenous fluids, intranasal oxygen, and the administration of polyvalent snake antivenom," they said.
BBC Africa states that circulating videos online reveal a snake handler removing the said snake from her home. Locals on the scene said it was a cobra snake, with others stating two snakes were removed from the residence.
Nwangene was planning to stage her first solo concert later this year, with her having gained stardom duringThe VoiceAfrica Season 3. Her rendition of Rihanna's "Take a Bow" led to two coaches turning their chairs.
