Patrick Clancy‘s marriage to Dr. Rachel Danis became entangled in the public conversation surrounding his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy‘s high-profile murder trial over the deaths of the couple’s three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Even as Danis herself remained almost entirely out of view. That changes this weekend.

Now, the 37-year-old will break her silence for the first time, appearing alongside Patrick in a 60 Minutes interview airing Sunday, September 20, to talk about their relationship and the scrutiny it has drawn amid the case involving his children from his previous marriage. The intense scrutiny, born from a case that transfixed the public, followed Danis directly into her own marriage, even as she quietly tried to stay out of the spotlight.

According to her official Zocdoc profile, Danis (full name: Rachel Blair Danis) is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at RMA of New York. She is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Her professional biography says she attended Barnard College at Columbia University before earning her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She later completed a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Southern California, where she also earned a master’s degree.

What Does Rachel Danis Do for a Living?

Danis specializes in endometriosis, ovulation induction, fertility preservation, LGBTQIA family building, and infertility care. Her biography also details her clinical and translational research, including an AbbVie grant involving elagolix. Her profile also highlighted her interests outside medicine, noting, “When she is out of the office, you can find her taking a Barry’s Bootcamp class, a ballet class, baking with her family, or strolling through Central Park.”

Who Are Rachel Danis’ Parents?

Only limited information about Danis’ family has been publicly confirmed. Her mother has been identified as Sue Danis, 69. According to the Daily Mail, Sue supported her daughter’s marriage to Patrick and described him to friends as “a really nice guy.”

After the wedding, Sue reportedly wrote of Rachel, “I hope it all goes well for her.” Mainstream reporting has not reliably identified Rachel’s father.

How Did Rachel Danis Meet Patrick Clancy?

Danis says they met in Central Park. “I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she said in a 60 Minutes preview.

Patrick had relocated to New York following the January 2023 deaths of his children. Fitness is another shared passion. They run together regularly and even took a Run X LIFT class together in 2024, as per Fox News. Rachel has also stood behind Patrick’s charity work, including The Heard Foundation, which he co-founded after his children’s deaths.

In June 2025, the two helped build a playground together, marked by a sign at the entrance bearing the names of his three children.

The couple married in April 2026 at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, according to the New York Post. Their marriage became public shortly before Lindsay’s trial began in July.

According to the Daily Mail, a longtime friend of Rachel’s family said the couple bonded over compassion, optimism and a shared love of fitness, with photos showing them running, hiking and working out together as early as February 2024.

The friend described Rachel as naturally nurturing and said her mother, Sue, 69, also supported the marriage, calling Patrick “a really nice guy.”

While the couple now lives in New York, Danis has faced intense online scrutiny and negativity tied to the case and her marriage to Patrick.

In the CBS preview, she directly pushed back on the narrative surrounding her husband.

“I don’t understand how the story’s been so twisted, but I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner,” she said.

Patrick’s relationship with Lindsay has remained compassionate despite the unimaginable loss at the center of their family. Just four days after the killings, Patrick publicly asked people to forgive Lindsay in a statement posted to the family’s GoFundMe.

“I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have,” he wrote. “The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone – me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”

More than a year later, Patrick made clear that his view had not changed. In an October 2024 profile with The New Yorker, he said, “I wasn’t married to a monster—I was married to someone who got sick.”

Speaking about the life that disappeared after the tragedy, Patrick also told the publication, “There’s no house anymore. There are no kids. All that’s left is me and Lindsay.”

Patrick declined to discuss the status of their marriage at the time out of respect for Lindsay, but he reiterated his forgiveness after completing the Boston Marathon in April 2024. “I said I forgive my wife and I do,” he told The New Yorker.

Delta is going big in Los Angeles next summer. Really big.

The airline just announced its largest-ever schedule at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and for travelers, that means more than simply seeing a few extra Delta planes on the tarmac.

At the peak of summer 2027, Delta and its partners will operate more than 200 departures a day to nearly 70 destinations from LAX. Even better: There are two brand-new nonstop routes in the mix, more frequent flights to seven U.S. cities and some pretty impressive upgrades happening on the ground, too.

So whether you’re trying to escape to Big Sur for the weekend, get to Boston without rearranging your entire day or simply enjoy a glass of Champagne in their swanky lounge before boarding, here’s what you’ll want to know.

Delta Is Adding 2 New Nonstop Routes From LAX

First up: Monterey.

Beginning Dec. 19, 2026, Delta will fly nonstop from LAX to Monterey twice daily aboard an Embraer 175. That puts Carmel-by-the-Sea, the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur within much easier reach for Angelenos, minus the roughly five-hour drive from L.A. And with Big Little Lies officially heading back for a third season, consider this one very well-timed way to follow in the footsteps of the Monterey Five.

And golfers may want to take note, too. The route arrives ahead of one of the sport’s biggest championships happening in the region next summer. Delta will also begin a daily nonstop between Salt Lake City and Monterey on Dec. 19.

“We’re continuing to invest in more ways for customers to experience everything California has to offer,” Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, said of the expansion.

Then, on June 7, 2027, Delta will add a daily nonstop between LAX and Philadelphia, operated on an Airbus A321neo. So cheesesteaks, Rocky steps and one of the country’s best restaurant scenes are about to get another direct connection to Southern California.

More Flights Are Coming to 7 Popular Cities

Anyone who has ever found the perfect flight home only to discover it leaves at 6 a.m. knows that frequency can be just as important as a new destination.

So, Delta is increasing service between LAX and seven existing destinations throughout spring and summer 2027. Boston jumps to five daily flights, San Diego gets five and Seattle will have a whopping eight Delta flights a day at the summer peak. Time to take advantage of those SkyMiles!

Raleigh-Durham and Cincinnati will each increase to twice-daily service, while Houston and San Antonio will each rise to three flights per day.

Altogether, Delta says it will be the only airline at LAX serving all 10 of the airport’s largest markets with multiple daily flights.

The LAX Lounge Situation Is Getting Even Better

Listen up because this may be the part frequent flyers appreciate most.

Delta has already poured $2.3 billion into its Sky Way at LAX, which connected and modernized Terminals 2 and 3. LAX has also become the first airport in Delta’s network with not one, but two Delta One Lounges.

And they’re not done.

An additional 11,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club is scheduled to open in Terminal 2 in 2027. By 2028, Delta expects to have four lounges across Terminals 2 and 3, totaling more than 60,000 square feet and 1,000 seats.

For Delta One passengers, the premium treatment starts before the lounge. LAX offers a dedicated Delta One Check-In area with private TSA security screening, followed by access to the Delta One Lounge.

In other words, the “get to LAX ridiculously early” part of the trip might become considerably more enjoyable.

There Are New Perks Once You’re in the Air, Too

In the more good news department: The upgrades don’t stop at the gate.

Delta says it currently offers more premium seats at LAX than any other airline, and its international flights from Los Angeles are operated with Airbus A350-900s featuring 40 Delta One seats. Delta One is also available on select domestic routes from LAX, including flights to Honolulu, Maui, Kona, New York-JFK, Boston and Atlanta.

Starting Oct. 1, Delta One passengers will also find a revamped wine program featuring 13 wines from California and international producers, while Champagne Taittinger is expanding to Domestic Delta One.

Flying Domestic First Class? Select flights feature dishes from chef José Andrés, like Spanish tortilla with pisto Manchego, braised beef short rib with mojo rojo BBQ sauce and creamy polenta, stuffed piquillo peppers with goat cheese and mushrooms and Spanish-style chicken with sherry and dried fruit.

And there’s something for travelers sitting farther back in the plane, too: fast, free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members, with the service expanding to Delta flights from Los Angeles across the Pacific this fall.

Taken together, the new routes, added flights and growing lineup of airport and onboard perks make Delta’s biggest-ever LAX schedule about more than just an impressive number. For travelers, more than 200 daily departures means more choices for where to go, when to fly and how to get there.

And if Big Sur has been sitting on your bucket list, that new twice-daily Monterey flight might be reason enough to start planning.

More than five decades after it became a major radio hit, Argent’s “Hold Your Head Up” remains one of the best-known rock songs of the early 1970s. 

The song reached No. 5 in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada in 1972, turning the British band’s long road to success into a worldwide breakthrough.

There is one important detail behind the song’s history: “Hold Your Head Up” was first released in 1971, before its major 1972 chart run. It later appeared on Argent’s third album, All Together Now, released in 1972. 

According to Record Collector, the album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, where the band found a sound that helped push its music toward a wider audience.

The song was written by former Zombies members Chris White and Rod Argent and featured lead vocals from Russ Ballard. Its message was simple and direct: keep going when life becomes difficult.

That message, along with its strong guitar, bass and keyboard parts, helped make the song stand out during a period when progressive rock was often built around long songs rather than radio-friendly singles.

Argent was formed in 1969 by keyboard player Rod Argent after the breakup of The Zombies. The new band also included Russ Ballard, Jim Rodford and Bob Henrit.

The group did not become an immediate success. Its first two albums, Argent in 1970 and Ring of Hands in 1971, failed to break into the Top 100 in the United States or the United Kingdom.

That changed with All Together Now.

Rod Argent recalled the importance of the move to Abbey Road. “We moved to record at Abbey Road and we really started to get some big, worldwide commercial success,” he said, per Louder.

The album included “Hold Your Head Up,” a song that showed both sides of Argent’s musical style. Rod Argent brought his keyboard skills and interest in progressive rock, while Ballard brought a strong sense of melody and straightforward songwriting.

Ballard remembered that he wanted the song to move faster than the rest of the band did.

“I wanted to do Hold Your Head Up incredibly fast and the band wanted it more slowly,” Ballard said.

The recording also gained something unexpected in the studio. Ballard explained that the famous vocal part was not part of the original rehearsal.

“When we recorded it, all that ‘Hold your head up, wooooaaaah!’ wasn’t in the original, the way we’d rehearsed it. Rod just came up with it in the studio.”

The finished recording ran for more than six minutes. That was a challenge for radio, where shorter songs were easier to program.

Radio stations solved the problem by using a much shorter edit. The song was cut to roughly three minutes, giving listeners the main hook without the extended sections of the album version.

That edit helped “Hold Your Head Up” reach a much larger audience. The song climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It also reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 5 in Canada. 

“Hold Your Head Up” delivers an easy-to-understand message about facing hard times without giving up. Early in the song, Ballard sings about not allowing a bad situation to bring you down.

The Hammond B3 solo has received especially strong praise over the years. Keyboard player Rick Wakeman described it as the “greatest organ solo ever.”

The song also continued to find new listeners through cover versions and live performances. Former Marillion singer Fish recorded his own version for the 1993 album Songs from the Mirror. 

Other artists and bands have also performed or recorded the song, including Mother Love Bone and the Party Boys.

Argent itself eventually ended its original run. The band recorded several more albums after All Together Now, including In Deep, Nexus, Circus and Counterpoints. Russ Ballard left after Nexus and went on to build a successful career as a solo artist and songwriter.

Argent later reunited for concerts, including a performance at the High Voltage Festival in London in 2010 and additional shows in the following years. The band’s final performance came in 2013.

On Sept. 18, 1978, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss each released a self-titled solo album. Not in sequence. The same day, all four at once.

It looked like a victory lap. It was a rescue plan.

Ace Had Already Quit

KISS was at its commercial peak after 1977’s Love Gun, and privately coming apart. Frehley told the others he was done.

“Ace had first announced he wanted to leave the band. We held a band meeting on the lot where we were shooting the movie,” Stanley wrote in his 2014 memoir Face the Music. Manager Bill Aucoin and Casablanca owner Neil Bogart came back with a fix. “‘You don’t need to leave the band,’ Bill said. ‘We’ll do solo albums.'”

Stanley’s verdict, decades later: “That turned out to be our next folly.”

Built to Look Like a Set

The records were designed as a matched collection, with painted portraits of each man and coordinated packaging. Stanley’s background was purple, Simmons’ red, Frehley’s blue and Criss’ green.

Every copy came with a poster. Buy all four and the posters fit together into a single mural.

Four Records, Four Directions

The packaging matched. The music did not. None of the four appeared on anyone else’s record.

Stanley stayed closest to the arena rock that built the band. Simmons went eclectic and filled his album with guest musicians. Criss made his while recovering from a car crash that broke his nose, ribs and hands. “I played drums with little casts on each finger,” he wrote in his own memoir. “It was incredibly painful, but I had a goal in mind, to do the best album of the four and leave the band with dignity.”

Frehley, the band’s lead guitarist, turned out to be the surprise. His cover of a 1975 British glam single reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, the breakout hit of the four.

The band they were meant to save did not last in that form. Frehley and Criss were both gone within a few years.

Money won is a lot sweeter than money earned, they say.

But funds rightfully through a settlement are also a bright spot, and Americans can claim up to $5,000 from a $3.1 million settlement after a 2024 data breach, The U.S. Sun reports.

California-based Palomar Health Medical Group failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures, plaintiffs had claimed. The settlement benefits those whose private information may have been accessed in a data breach a couple years ago.

Here is the official report as to what happened on PHMG’s website: “On May 5, 2024, PHMG identified suspicious activity on certain computer systems within its network. PHMG immediately launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain files within PHMG’s network from April 23, 2024, to May 5, 2024, and may have copied those files.”

The report continues, “Following the investigation, PHMG undertook a comprehensive review of all the files potentially impacted to assess the information contained therein and to whom it related, and to locate address information for all affected individuals. On September 4, 2025, PHMG finalized this review and determined that information related to you could be affected.”

Palomar Health could have prevented the breach with better cybersecurity. plaintiffs have argued. PHMG hasn’t admitted to any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid further court action.

Under the settlement, class members who suffered documented losses can claim up to $5,000.

Eligible documents to support claims include bank statements, receipts or other financial paperwork, The U.S. Sun noted on Friday, September 18. The amounts are subject to change based on the number of successful claims. All class members can receive two years of free credit monitoring.

The deadline to submit a claim form is October 22, and payments will be distributed following a November 6 final approval hearing. Claim forms can be submitted here.

Job seekers may want to think twice before walking into a job interview carrying an iced coffee. The question of whether or not it’s OK to bring an iced coffee with you to a job interview sparked a heated debate on social media this week after TikTok users posted varying reaction videos sharing their opinions about the topic.

The conversation even became a trending headline on LinkedIn, the social media platform most use for networking and career development. LinkedIn News editor Rachel Kleinman shared the debate in a post, explaining, “While proponents say a candidate’s beverage of choice can help showcase their ‘personality,’ detractors insist it’s inappropriate, citing the condensation that can leave hands and desktops damp.”

San Francisco news outlet KRON4 News covered the debate, too, and even shared a poll asking viewers whether or not they think it’s appropriate to bring an iced coffee to a job interview. At the time of publishing this article, only about 14% of poll participants said that yes, they think bringing an iced coffee drink into an interview is A-OK.

LinkedIn user Benjamin Chipman shared he’s OK with bringing coffee to interviews, but offered some rules about etiquette if you choose to do so. Among the “don’ts” of bringing coffee to a job interview? Don’t shake the drink the entire time or slurp it down. And, don’t hold it in your right hand so that your hand is wet if you want to shake hands. Oh, and don’t put your iced coffee cup on someone’s desk.

Chipman’s dos include remembering to take the coffee with you when you leave and making sure to be on time for the interview, since showing up late after having made a coffee stop is a bad look. Chipman, who works in marketing, also suggested using your coffee to your advantage. “Use it to buy yourself 30 [seconds] to breathe and think about a question being asked,” he wrote.

Solid advice, for sure, but as for whether showing up to an interview sipping an iced pumpkin spice latte is a good look or not, only time will tell. On a freezing day in Montreal, Emerson, Lake & Palmer took a piece of American classical music written during World War II and transformed it into one of the biggest hits of the trio’s career.

ELP released its interpretation of “Fanfare for the Common Man” in 1977, 35 years after composer Aaron Copland wrote the original. Driven by Keith Emerson’s towering synthesizers, Greg Lake’s bass, and Carl Palmer’s drums, the nearly 10-minute instrumental became a progressive rock showcase, and an unlikely pop success.

Copland composed his “Fanfare for the Common Man” in 1942 after conductor Eugene Goossens asked several American composers to create fanfares supporting the country’s wartime effort.

More than three decades later, Emerson saw possibilities in the composition’s stately brass melody.

“I’d heard it played at the end of Aaron Copland’s Third Symphony,” Emerson told Louder. “We’d previously done his ‘Hoedown’ on our Trilogy album, and when I found out he’d actually written 10 fanfares, I thought we should do his ‘Fanfare For The Common Man.’ It needed transposing – I wanted to improvise in a key that was sort of bluesy. So I did that first, and it ended up in E. The rest of it was straightforward; in order to get the shuffle sound the timing had to be changed, but it was common sense.”

Unlike many rock adaptations of classical works, ELP pursued Copland’s approval. Emerson reportedly contacted the composer before releasing the band’s arrangement, and Copland ultimately gave the group permission to use his work.

“We were a little bit worried about playing him the actual rock section of it where we were ad-libbing and having some fun,” Palmer told NPR. “And he thought it was OK! … He said, ‘At least you’ve done something different with it — that works for me. Go ahead, guys, I wish you the best of luck with it.'”

The recording itself came together under unusual conditions.

ELP recorded “Fanfare for the Common Man” at Olympic Stadium in Montreal during the winter. Rather than work inside a conventional recording studio, the musicians set up in the enormous stadium, where frigid temperatures became part of the experience. Footage of the trio performing the piece in the empty venue, with Emerson surrounded by an imposing collection of keyboards and synthesizers, became closely associated with the song.

The album version runs for more than nine minutes.

It begins by drawing closely from Copland’s familiar theme before moving into an extended section built around Emerson’s synthesizer work and the rhythm section. The result retained the grandeur of the original while placing it firmly within the elaborate progressive rock sound ELP had developed throughout the 1970s.

“Fanfare for the Common Man” appeared on the ambitious 1977 double album Works Volume 1, alongside Emerson’s piano concerto and the band’s lengthy “Pirates.”

For its single release, the instrumental was cut down considerably. The shorter version, clocking in at just under 3 minutes, climbed to No. 2 on the U.K. Singles Chart, becoming ELP’s highest-charting British single and one of the group’s greatest commercial successes.

Forty-nine years later, the recording remains a striking meeting point between classical music and progressive rock. Copland supplied a melody built to sound monumental; Emerson, Lake & Palmer discovered that with synthesizers, bass, and drums, it could sound just as imposing in a freezing Montreal stadium.

Ram Jam’s 1977 song “Black Betty” catapulted the band to massive fame, but it also turned them into one-hit wonders of the ’70s.

Despite the rock group’s relatively short-lived career, the five-piece band, formed by Bill Bartlett on guitar and lead vocals, Myke Scavone on lead vocals and percussion, Howie Arthur Blauvelt on bass guitar, Pete Charles on drums and Jimmy Santoro on guitar, left a lasting legacy in music, earning a spot among Collider’s “10 Greatest Rock One-Hit Wonders of All Time.”

In a ranking released by the outlet, Collider named 10 acts whose music careers were defined by a single massive hit that achieved widespread popularity despite their inability to sustain that success.

Claiming No. 7 on the list was Ram Jam’s “Black Betty,” released in 1977 as part of their self-titled debut album.

Collider praised the band’s singer and guitarist Bill Bartlett, whose prominent guitar sound helped create a “blues and southern hard rock fuse” in the song and gave that “infectious energy.”

The popularity of the song prompted the band to score its only charting hit, peaking at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 7 on the U.K. Singles Chart.

However, despite the song’s popularity, which folk singer Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter recorded commercially in 1939, Ram Jam failed to sustain its fame and momentum, leading the group to disband in 1978 after releasing two albums during its brief run.

Decades later, “Black Betty” is still making waves and was even included in Grunge’s “15 Best Rock Songs Used in Super Bowl Ads,” ranking at No. 8.

The song was famously featured in a Volkswagen Super Bowl XLV commercial.

The publications’ recognition of and features on the song showed that, despite Ram Jam being a one-hit wonder, “Black Betty” has remained a memorable rock classic decades after its release.

Big Brother’s house is open once more! Every week, Parade’s Mike Bloom will be bringing you interviews with this season’s houseguests as they get evicted from the game.

It’s only appropriate for Yash Patel to have a game that was fairly shaved down in the front, then got hairier in the back. The financial analyst initially planned on sitting back and laying low, hoping that would be the path to financial prosperity. But his assets were immediately put in jeopardy when Dee Valladares chose to nominate him, despite promising the group that helped win her the HoH that they were safe. Unfortunately, this set Yash up in a position he would occupy for the first month of the game: A perennial outsider, looking in on the majority “Toolshed” alliance as it ran the game.

The good news: The majority blew up on Day 31 when Lyric Medeiros was evicted. The bad news: Yash was one of only four people left out of the vote. Luckily, he was able to finally get the inside track over the next couple of weeks. Growing closer to La Trice “Lala” Verrett and Taylor Brown, the group ran the next two HoHs, putting the remnants of the Toolshed on the ropes. When Yash took a spin in power, his target landed squarely on the reality TV icons. In a move of desperation, Dee Valladares attempted to negotiate for the trio’s safety with her “BB Bribe” power. But for Yash, $5K did not measure up to the cost of getting rid of a power player. He had no idea that, when power was diminished, another was lurking behind-the-scenes to demolish his plans. Rick Devens chose to use his Diamond Power of Veto on Dee and chose Kamu Kirk as his replacement. In a mere matter of days, Yash left his HoH reign having failed to get out an icon, as well as losing one of his closest allies. If his mood was a DJ Khaled song, it was certifiably not “All I Do Is Win.”

The icons followed up their newfound momentum with another Dee HoH and, yet again, Yash was on the chopping block. Once again, the bribe was made, but with a very different power dynamic. In exchange for safety (and a nice chunk of change), Yash had to agree not to nominate any of the icons on his next HoH. He begrudgingly agreed to it, simultaneously handcuffing and handicapping his game. But, even if Yash was avoiding the most powerful position every week, that’s not to say he wasn’t raking in the competition wins like Chipotle toppings. Over the course of five weeks, he won six competitions, helping save himself from a number of tight spots. But when the icons themselves were in a tight spot, they played their trump card, outing the bribe to HoH Barrett Pfeiffer in a last-minute gambit to get Yash on the block. While it was ultimately unsuccessful, Yash lied about the nature of the deal, leading to yet another Angela Murray blow-up during a nomination ceremony. Perhaps it was her insistence for him to swear on his brother that prompted what happened next.

With the three icons on the block going into eviction, it seemed destined that one of the Survivor players would get snuffed out of the game. But Dee went into “dee-speration” mode, making a massive pitch to Yash and his number one Taylor Brown. She swore both privately and publicly that, if she stayed, she would concentrate all her efforts on the trio of Barrett, Drew Campbell, and Melody Morris, even offering a new four-person alliance. And, yet again, Yash took the “Dee-al,” as he and Taylor chose to take out Angela over the Survivor winner. Despite his new allegiance to the icons, Yash was still looking to get this bribe off his back, winning the next HoH.

And, while his hand was partially forced in his nominations, he felt he had a good situation going into the double eviction. The new four-person alliance was humming along strong, and he had made a deal with Drew during the 13-hour endurance competition to both not vote Taylor out and keep himself safe during his next HoH. But perhaps Yash should have known one core tenet of the Pressure Cooker: Deals can — and will — be broken. Not able to play in HoH, the worst-case scenario unfolded for Yash, as Melody claimed power. And, while she initially targeted the two remaining icons, Devens won safety for the third week in a row, forcing Yash up on the block again. The vote all came down to Drew and, speaking to the weekslong tension between the two, he took Yash out. In a mere matter of minutes, Yash went from HoH to the next evicted, walking out merely with a cup of water and only one thought about the bro: “Bruh.”

On his way to the jury house, Yash talks with Parade about what we didn’t see in the double eviction, how the BB Bribe “neutralized” his game, and how he looks back on the decision to keep Dee over Angela.

Walk me through your thoughts throughout the double eviction. After Devens won the veto, what did you think your chances were of staying?
In the beginning of the night, I felt great about going into the double eviction! I thought if the icons won HoH, I would be all right. I thought if Drew won it after we had made the deal, I would be alright. And of course, if Taylor won, I knew no matter what, I was saved. And then Melody, I also felt pretty good about. So going into the double eviction, I honestly felt stress-free. Also, because I knew I would be able to compete in the veto, and I love betting on myself to get the job done. So I knew, regardless of who wins HoH, the fact I’m able to compete in the veto gives me a chance at being safe.

After Devens won the veto. I knew it would get dicey, but I still thought there was a chance because I thought maybe Melody would nominate Taylor. If Melody truly wanted to get an icon out, I thought maybe she would nominate Taylor as a pawn or Drew as the pawn. Because Melody made it clear during the noms that she wants an icon out, and me, her, Taylor, and Drew all said, “Let’s get an icon out,” and we did this weird pinky promise thing that they wanted to do. So I thought, “Okay, if you truly want to get out an icon, I’m not the pawn you put up as a renom.” So I had hope after Devens won the veto that maybe Drew or Taylor would go up instead of me because the “goal” was to get them out.

Now that you’ve had some time to think on it, we’re going to once again ask the question Julie asked you last night. If the “BB Bribe” was not in the picture this season, how do you think you would have played the game after your first HoH?
I think the “BB Bribe” kind of neutralized me. It felt like I was a lion in a cage. I was going into these competitions knowing it wasn’t in my best interest to win, which is a horrible feeling, because a dog wants to bark, and I was unable to bark for so many competitions. So I think it really neutralized me, and it made it difficult to play the game at times because I couldn’t just do what I wanted to do. There was literally decisions that were made for me as a result of the bribe, so it made my game more complicated than it needed to be.

Yes, it gave me short-term safety, but I knew it would have downstream impacts, which it did. But it wouldn’t have affected my first HoH because, in my first HoH, the bribe had not been a thing. D had offered me the bribe, but I had declined it. But it definitely would have affected my second HoH because I would not have nominated Barrett and Melody had it not been for that bribe. My three nominations during my second HoH, would have been Drew, Dee and Devens guaranteed.

Talk to me about you and Taylor deciding to keep Dee and evict Angela in last week’s eviction. How do you look back on the decision now?
I still think that was the right decision, because Dee was a heat-seeking missile towards Barrett, Drew, and Melody after Barrett nominated her. I knew it to be true. I felt it in my heart that she was telling the truth, and I really do believe that Dee wanted to work with us there. The main issue with that was just that Devens won the Block Buster, because had he not won, he would have been going home. But in terms of keeping Dee, I think it was smart. Turns out she wasn’t a bigger shield than me because I went home sitting next to her! But that doesn’t mean that the premises in which we kept her were false, because I still think I had a better chance at staying next to her as opposed to Angela.

You’ve been very open about your feelings on Drew, calling him a weasel, a slime ball, and a “power-hungry little goblin.” Talk to me about your perspective on the game he’s playing, and his choice to evict you.
Outside of the game, I have nothing bad to say. He’s a good kid. He needs well. Did he get under my skin? You could say that, maybe a little bit. But I have nothing bad to say about him outside of this. The game is the game. He’s a great guy, and everything that happened in there stays in there.

Finally, give your rapid-fire thoughts on each of the remaining houseguests. Starting with Dee.
I’ll say guns blazing. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and she lets it be known how she’s feeling, what she’s thinking. She does not give an f.
Devens.
Tactician and masterclass. I respect Devens’ game so much. He has played almost a flawless game. Somehow, people don’t view him as a threat. He is competitive. He is great at competitions, even though you would not expect that, judging the book by its cover. And socially, he is a magician. He is phenomenal with his words. He is very convincing, and he gets people to eat out of the palm of his hands.
Drew.
Spineless. Period.
Melody.
Surfboard, ’cause she’s just floating and coasting and riding the wave.

Charles Spencer isn’t backing away from his account of a tense conversation with King Charles following Princess Diana’s death.

The late Princess of Wales’ younger brother is promoting his new book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, in which he alleges that the then-Prince Charles made a shocking remark while the family was discussing Diana’s funeral following her death in August 1997.

According to Spencer, the two disagreed over whether Princes William and Harry should walk behind their mother’s coffin. During the phone call, he claims Charles told him, “we’ll forget her soon enough.”

Buckingham Palace issued an unusually pointed response in return, saying the King was “mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss”.

Spencer, however, firmly rejected the suggestion that grief may have affected his recollection during a new BBC interview on Saturday, September 18. “I can tell you here and now, those are exactly the words he said,” he said.

Spencer explained that he’d only spoken with Charles by phone twice in his life and therefore remembered the conversation clearly. Asked which man’s account the public should believe, he responded simply: “I’m telling the truth.”

The earl also questioned the motivation behind the palace’s response, asking, “Well, is he furious? Is he furious or is he embarrassed?”

The disputed phone call isn’t Spencer’s only startling allegation about the days surrounding Diana’s death. In another excerpt from his book, he claims Charles “sounded giddily elated” when he called after Diana died in a Paris car crash on August 31, 1997.

“Unlike my other callers, who were stunned, barely able to articulate their condolences and offers of help, he sounded giddily elated—like a lottery winner, I remember thinking at the time,” Spencer alleges.

Different cultures have celebrated the fall equinox for centuries. Since the September equinox occurs in the autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and coincides with the fall harvest, many ancient harvest festivals take place around this time, according to History.com.

In Greek mythology, the September equinox marks the return of the goddess Persephone to the underworld for four months, where she is reunited with her husband, the god Hades. During the time that Persephone is with Hades, her mother, Demeter (who didn’t approve of the union), was said to grieve her loss by leaving the earth cold and barren until the goddess returned to Earth in the spring.

The ancient Chinese Shang dynasty celebrated a successful fall harvest at the Harvest Moon (the name for the full moon that falls closest to the autumnal equinox) by making offerings to the moon. In today’s Chinese culture, the Harvest Moon Festival, or Mid-Moon Festival, is celebrated by lighting up the streets with lanterns (a symbolic beacon to a path to prosperity and good fortune) and gathering to watch the moon and give thanks.

Japanese Buddhists celebrate the holiday of Higan with both the spring and autumnal equinoxes. During this week-long celebration, Buddhists will return to their hometowns to pay respects to their ancestors, since it is believed that the world of the living and the world of the dead become close during the equinox.

The changing of the season from summer to autumn becomes a time for Buddhists to reevaluate and change their own practices to reach enlightenment. Higan translates to “the other shore,” and in the Buddhist tradition, crossing over the mythical Sanzu River to the afterlife means that one has achieved Nirvana.

In Great Britain, people have been celebrating the fall harvest for centuries, with festivals typically taking place on the Sunday closest to the Harvest Moon. This tradition of celebrating an abundant harvest was the basis for early English settlers celebrating the first American Thanksgiving!

The modern pagan community celebrates the fall equinox with a festival called Mabon to honor the changing seasons. It is traditional for many Pagans and Wiccans to not only celebrate the gifts of the Earth, but give thanks and appreciation for all blessings, and share that abundance with others.

Similarly, Native Americans in the United States also gave thanks to Mother Earth and celebrated the fall equinox with smudging ceremonies to purify their dwelling and soul in preparation for the sweet season ahead.

The ancient Mayans in Mexico constructed the Kukulcáan pyramid at Chichen Itza and gathered during both the spring and autumn equinoxes to watch the sunlight create shadows that appeared like a snake slithering down the steps.

Is the Fall Equinox a Good Time To See the Northern Lights?

The fall equinox is a prime viewing time for the Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis. The beautiful, celestial lights that dance across the sky in places close to the Arctic Circle reach a peak for several weeks each September through the end of October, and then again around the time of the spring equinox in March.

The Northern Lights are seen during geomagnetic storms, when electrically charged particles from the Sun collide with the Earth’s atmosphere, causing them to glow in the sky. During the yearly equinoxes, there are usually twice as many geomagnetic electrical disturbances in the Earth’s atmosphere. When combined with the tilt of the Earth’s axis, this provides a greater view of the Northern Lights.

How Is the Fall Equinox Celebrated in the United States?

While there is no official ritual in the United States, some may jokingly argue that the switchover from a summer wardrobe of tank tops and flip-flops to cozy sweaters and boots is itself a celebration of the fall equinox. So trade that iced coffee for a pumpkin spice latte and prepare for all the awesomeness that the upcoming fall season has to offer!

Nobody was supposed to find them. Film director Baz Luhrmann was digging through some old film vaults trying to find some previously unused footage for his 2022 Elvis biopic when his team stumbled onto something priceless that had been sitting underground for decades. Inside a Warner Bros. storage facility buried in an underground salt mine in Hutchinson, Kansas, were 65 reels of Elvis Presley footage. Fifty-nine hours of it. And buried among the reels were audio recordings of Elvis talking about his own life in his own voice. Candid. Unheard. Unedited. Luhrmann called them his “great find.” He spent two years figuring out what to do with all of it. The result is EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. It has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s streaming right now.

The reels had been sitting in that salt mine since the 1970s. They contained unused footage from Elvis’s Las Vegas residency — material shot for the concert films Elvis: That’s the Way It Is and Elvis on Tour that never made the final cut of either. There was rare 16mm footage from his 1972 North American tour. There was 8mm film from the Graceland archives nobody had ever projected. And then there were the recordings. Elvis talking about what his life was actually like, in his own voice. Not an interview. Not a press appearance. Just Elvis Presley in a room talking to himself about his music and his world in a way that’s never been heard publicly before.

Restoring it all took two years. Luhrmann brought in Peter Jackson‘s team at Park Road Post Production in New Zealand — the exact same people who’d restored the footage for The Beatles: Get Back documentary — to enhance it to a quality level never seen before. The first advance screenings happened at Graceland on January 8, 2026. What would’ve been Elvis’s 91st birthday. The audience sat in his home watching footage of him that had been underground since the 1970s. Elvis had been gone since 1977.

EPiC opened in IMAX on February 20, 2026 and broke the record for the biggest opening weekend for a documentary in IMAX history. Vogue called it “a burst of concert-film adrenaline.” TIME praised its “profoundly intimate” approach. Variety said it was “one of the most exciting concert films you’ve ever seen.” The Rotten Tomatoes critics consensus: “Resurrecting Elvis Presley at the peak of his showmanship.” Luhrmann said it simply: “The aim was to reveal Elvis in his prime as if you were actually there.”

What’s Actually in the Film

It’s not a documentary and it’s not a concert film. It’s both and something beyond either. The audio recordings are what make it different. You’ve seen Elvis perform. You’ve read about him. You’ve watched other people reconstruct him. This lets Elvis tell you himself — in recordings that spent decades underground before anyone knew they were there. It holds a 97% critics score and 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s streaming on Paramount Plus, Prime Video, and Apple TV right now. Whatever you think you know about Elvis, there’s something in those recordings nobody knew until Luhrmann found the boxes. In a salt mine. In Kansas. Nobody was looking there.

Being the villain can be more fun for an actor – you have more range and have carte blanche to be as vicious as your imagination can allow.

Just ask Helen Mirren, who is having the time of her life playing the ruthless Maeve Harrigan on MobLand.

Mirren, 81, returns for Season 2 of the Paramount+ crime drama alongside Pierce Brosnan, 73, who plays her husband, Conrad Harrigan. And while the series may be filled with violence, danger and plenty of mayhem, Mirren says the experience of making it has been sheer exhiliration.

“It’s having the time of our life,” she tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “I love Disneyland. It’s like going to Disneyland.” Brosnan agrees, describing the experience as “a fever dream.”

For Mirren, part of the appeal is the freedom she feels on the set. She says working alongside Brosnan, Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast has created an environment where she feels safe enough to take risks with Maeve.

“There’s nothing like ease on a set – to feel ease, comfort and being safe,” she says. That sense of security gives her the freedom “to invent, to be ridiculous, to make mistakes, to, you know, to mess up.”

And there is certainly plenty of room for the actors to go big. Season 2 kicks off with Conrad shooting his way through the opening episode, while Maeve has the decidedly less glamorous task of pulling a bullet out of him.

The two stars also have plenty of praise for each other. Mirren says she can feel when Brosnan is building toward a big scene: “It’s like this volcano is about to erupt.” Her preferred response? Sit back and enjoy it. “Oh, I’m just going to sit back and watch it all happen in front of me,” she says. “It’s going to be great.”

Brosnan returns the compliment: “Watching Helen play Maeve, it’s just so exhilarating. She comes on like an empress.” Mirren interjects with a laugh, “in rollers.”

A lot of legendary rock songs have interesting stories behind how they came to be released. In the case of a hit Blondie song from 1980, “Call Me,” the unexpected backstory actually involves another music legend, Stevie Nicks, who was first offered the song.

The song started as a planned track for the 1980 movie American Gigolo. Italian producer Giorgio Moroder composed the track and went out to find a singer and lyricist. He initially wanted Nicks to do it, but unfortunately, her recent contract with Modern Records and busy schedule forced her to turn it down.

As a result, Moroder approached Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry for the job. Harry was given the instrumental for the track and reportedly wrote the lyrics for the song in a few hours.

In a 1980 interview with New Music News, Harry described the process of making the song: “He played us the movie on video and I got my impressions of it and I tried to think of what it would be… The thing that I was really fascinated by when I saw it was the muted tones and high tech look of it, so that was the first verse about colors.”

Harry later shared her thoughts on being offered to write a song in this way, saying, “I loved doing it. It was like being hired to do a jingle or something. You know, you get your assignment. and now it’s a top five hit.”

“Call Me” was released as a single in February 1980 and it quickly became a huge hit. It hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and held the position for six weeks. The song soared up the charts in other countries too, taking the top spot in the U.K., Canada, and Luxembourg as well. It even topped the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart.

The Blondie track was also extremely popular in many other countries and it was certified gold by the RIAA. “Call Me” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
