'House of the Dragon' Star Harry Collett Reveals the Season 3 Premiere Scene That Had to Be Reshot — and Why Jace's Final Moment Hit Differently (Exclusive)
Harry Collett knew his time as Jacaerys Velaryon on House of the Dragon would eventually come to an end. That did not make him any less grateful for the opportunity.
"It's such a blessing to be in this show," Collett told Parade in an exclusive interview. "I don't think I'll ever get bored of talking about it or repeating myself, because this is a once-in-a-lifetime show."
That time arrives in the House of the Dragon Season 3 premiere, which sends Jace into battle and gives the young prince a brutal, heroic final stand.
"My time has come for Season 3," Collett says. "It was probably meant to be in Season 2, but I've known the whole time. Even if it happened after me being in only one episode, I'd be happy."
Jace's final moments are quiet and sad, though not before he flies off to battle to defend his mother.
After taking flight with Baela Targaryen, played by Bethany Antonia, Jace and his dragon, Vermax, are overwhelmed in battle. Even after Vermax falls, Jace seems to survive but is struck by a barrage of arrows. Collett says filming the sequence allowed him to step outside the familiar sets and take on something entirely new.
“It is quite epic,” he says. “It’s something I’ve never done anything like before, and it was really, really interesting to get out of the same sort of sets and step outside and actually do some stunts for once.”

Although the finished scene is devastating, the experience on set felt very different.
“I just thought of it as one big pile of fun,” Collett says. “Then, obviously, I saw the episode, and it’s completely different to the vibe on set.”
Before Jace rides into battle, he shares one final emotional scene with Baela.
Jace approaches her and tries to convince her to fly into battle alongside him. It is a choice that leads directly to his death, but the scene plays less like a reckless call to action and more like a quiet plea between two people who understand the danger waiting for them.
For Collett and Antonia, the weight of the moment was heightened by the knowledge that it would be their final dialogue scene together.
“I remember just feeling so proud and overwhelmed by how many years we’ve been doing this,” Antonia exclusively tells Parade. “Looking at Harry and being like, ‘My God, we’ve watched each other grow up a bit.’”
Antonia says she also felt the pair were producing some of their strongest work together.
“I felt like we were doing really good work,” she says. “I felt really emotional and proud of you.”
The actors filmed the scene twice. According to Collett, showrunner Ryan Condal contacted him after the first version was shot and asked them to return with a different approach.

“We shot it the first time, which we didn’t really think about much, because you go on set, you do your work and then you come off,” Collett says. “But then Ryan gave me a call, and he was like, ‘I think we should do it with a different approach. We should play this differently because we’ve watched it over and it’s just not fitting in with the mood.’”
In the original version, Jace and Baela approached the decision with more excitement. The second version slowed the scene down and emphasized the emotional stakes.
“We changed up the whole mood,” Collett says. “We made it much more emotional. We were a bit excited the first time.”
The shift was important because Baela needed a convincing reason to follow Jace into danger.
“It needed to be calm, and just Jace explaining to Baela why he thinks this is a good idea,” Collett says.
Antonia agrees that Jace’s emotion and conviction needed to drive Baela’s choice.
“Initially, it was reading like he was so excited, and then she just went, ‘Oh, fine, let’s go,’” she says. “Actually, they needed it to feel like, for her, it was his emotion and passion that convinced her that it was worth going.”
The reshoot gave Jace’s final decision a more tragic quality. He's not a young kid rushing into battle, he knows what is at stake, but believes he must act and persuades Baela to believe in him to protect his mother, Rhaenyra.
That quiet scene makes the battle that follows even more painful. Jace enters the fight hoping to prove himself as Rhaenyra’s heir and protect her claim. Instead, his first true battle becomes his last.

’90s Alternative Rock Band Announces ‘Brilliant’ 11th Album
Bush spent the better half of the ’90s singing about the “Little Things.” And now, Gavin Rossdale just revealed another little something that will make alt-rock fans’ very happy.
In an interview with TotalRock’s Hobo on the Radio at this year's Download Festival, transcribed by Blabbermouth, the iconic frontman shared that he’s been in the studio working on the band’s 11th album.
View this post on Instagram“I just consider that I’ve done 10 records,” he said. “I'm in the middle of making another one, and I want it to be brilliant, or else there's really no f—ing point.”
Adding that he’s “reaching for the stars” with this next LP, Rossdale also dished on his love of making music, writing songs, and finding inspiration in the “weirdest” places. Currently, that translates to metal genres and the “sexier, heavier, detuned world.”
“I try to push and challenge myself,” he said. “I’m never gonna try and be a screamer, but I … find it really interesting and inspiring. … I feel more connected to that underbelly and that wild world.”
Bush’s latest album, I Beat Loneliness, he said, is a fusion of heavy rock and Bush’s signature grit. Released July 2025, the 12-track record was produced by Rossdale and Erik Ron, via earMusic. Singles “60 Ways to Forget People” and “The Land of Milk and Honey” are fan favorites.
Founded in 1992, Bush made their debut with Sixteen Stone two years later. The post-grunge classic was packed with massive alt-rock essentials including “Little Things,” “Glycerine,” “Machinehead,” “Comedown,” and “Everything Zen.” 2024 marked the 30thanniversary of the album, which went six-times platinum.
Since then, Rossdale and company have been putting out new music pretty regularly, while also touring the globe. Right now, the band -- now consisting of Rossdale, guitarist ChrisTraynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes -- are on a massive world tour promoting I Beat Loneliness.
The North American leg of the tour kicks off this summer before jaunting down to Australia and New Zealand this fall.

'House of the Dragon' Season 3 Premiere Recap: A Major Character Is Brutally Killed in the Bloody Battle of the Gullet
WARNING! This article contains spoilers for the Season 3 premiere of House of the Dragon. Please don't read further if you don't intend to know any details of the episode.
Dragons have taken flight once again.
Last time we watched House of the Dragon, the realm appeared to be on the brink of an all-out war. Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) had assembled The Blacks to attack King's Landing and seize the Iron Throne, following a visit from Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke).
On Dragonstone, Rhaenyra’s allies seemed fairly united. Dameon Targaryen (Matt Smith) had secured Harrenhal and its army before returning home. Jacaerys Velayron (Harry Collett) had helped strengthen their forces by bringing the North into the fold while Corlys (Steve Toussaint) helmed the Velayron fleet. The Blacks also have a trio of new dragonriders in Hugh (Kieran Bew), Ulf (Tom Bennett) and Addam of Hull (Clinton Liberty).
Meanwhile, Team Green was in a far more fractured state. Aegon Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) had been badly burned after the Battle at Rook's Rest, leaving Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) to rule in his place as Prince Regent. While the enemy seemed close to approaching, Aegon was snuck out of the capital by Larys (Matthew Needham). Having been shunted out of his position as Hand of the King, Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) appeared locked in a cell, though exactly where was yet to be revealed.
From there, the Season 3 premiere follows both sides as they make their first major moves in a war that can no longer be avoided. Here's our spoiler-filled recap of what went down in House of the Dragon tonight.

The Season 3 premiere’s biggest moment comes during the Battle of the Gullet. As the Triarchy fleet closes in, Rhaenyra appears ready to fly out herself and meet the attack with dragonfire. Jace refuses to let that happen. Instead, he orders the Queensguard to keep his mother inside Dragonstone and takes her place in the battle, encouraging Baela to join him. Jace rides Vermax into the fight, while Baela follows on Moondancer, as the Velaryon fleet faces the Triarchy at sea.
At first, the dragons give the Blacks a clear advantage. But the battle turns when Sharako Lohar (Abigail Thorn) lands a shot on Vermax, anchoring the dragon underwater and forcing Jace into a desperate fight to stay airborne. Baela tries to help, and Jace is able to free himself, but the chaos only grows when Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell) arrives on Sheepstealer. Seeing Driftmark burning, Rhaena flies toward the battle, but she struggles to control her new dragon. Sheepstealer begins burning ships, including ships in the Velaryon fleet.
Baela pursues Sheepstealer on Moondancer, while Jace and Vermax move to defend her. For a moment, the dragonriders do not seem to understand who they are fighting. Jace orders Vermax to kill the other ride before realizing that it is Rhaena on Sheepstealer. Rhaena also recognizes Baela, but Sheepstealer continues to pursue Vermax.
Jace tries to escape, but Vermax is struck again and dragged down into the water. This time, there is no saving the dragon. Jace is forced to release himself and let Vermax sink beneath the waves. He survives the fall, but only briefly. As he emerges in the water, Triarchy soldiers fire on him, leaving Jace struck by several arrows, and killing Rhaenyra's other son.

How does Jace die in House of the Dragon? After defying his mother's orders and flying into the Battle of the Gullet on dragonback, his dragon Vermax is eventually waylaid by giant harpoon mechanisms being wielded by the Triarchy. As Vermax hits the water, Jace sadly has to dismount, letting go of his companion. He bobs like a cork in the water for a few moments before he is waylaid by a volley of arrows, killing him instantly.

As the dragons arrive above the Battle of the Gullet, Corlys Velaryon sees a chance to turn the fight in the Blacks’ favor. He orders the Velaryon fleet through a narrow passage near Dragonstone, hoping to draw the Triarchy into a position where their ships will be left rudderless and exposed to the dragons above.
Sharako Lohar quickly realizes what Corlys is trying to do and follows him into the passage, determined to kill the Sea Snake herself. Before joining the fight, she shoves Tyland Lannister off her ship, making it clear that his usefulness to her has ended. Corlys, meanwhile, sees Driftmark burning in the distance, adding another personal loss to an already devastating battle.
Having successfully navigated her ship in pursuit, Lohar rams it into Corlys’s, sending her men aboard the Velaryon vessel. Corlys is briefly knocked unconscious, but he wakes and begins fighting alongside Alyn (Abubakar Salim). He is knocked into the water, leaving Corlys to face Lohar directly.
Corlys and Lohar duel, with Corlys managing to stab her in the leg. For a moment, it looks like the Sea Snake may defeat her, but as the ships continue to fall apart, he falls into the water before he can finish the fight. Alyn then takes Lohar on himself, wrestling her beneath the surface as they both struggle to survive. In the end, Alyn overpowers her and stabs her in the neck.
When Alyn finally stands, the cost of the battle is clear. Almost everyone around him is dead, burned or drowned, but he has survived. More importantly, he has proven himself in the middle of one of the Dance’s bloodiest battles, but at what cost?
Aemond takes the Iron Throne (L-R) Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower in 'House of the Dragon'Courtesy of HBO
Back in King’s Landing, Aemond learns that Aegon and Larys have fled the city. By the time Alicent returns, Aemond has named himself king in Aegon’s absence and taken his seat on the Iron Throne. He tells his mother that Aegon is gone and immediately questions where she has been. Alicent claims she was in the Kingswood, but her focus is on getting Aemond out of the capital and away from Rhaenyra’s coming attack.
Alicent urges Aemond to fly to the Riverlands and Harrenhal, but Aemond believes he must remain in King’s Landing. Lord Ormund Hightower (James Norton) is marching from the south, and the Triarchy is preparing to challenge the Velaryon fleet. In Aemond’s mind, the Greens only need to wait. Alicent, however, sees a more dangerous reality. With Rhaenyra coming and Aegon gone, King’s Landing is exposed.
Alicent also turns to Helaena (Phia Saban), asking if she knew Aegon had fled. Helaena recognizes that her mother is frightened, but her concern is not for the crown. She fears for their knights and says Aemond should be with them. Helaena suggests that Aemond forgot fear for a while after claiming Vhagar, but now he remembers it. Alicent takes that warning seriously and writes to Lord Ormund.
Later, Alicent makes a more personal appeal to Aemond. She tells him she failed Aegon, but Aemond insists Aegon’s weaknesses are his own. Alicent then tells Aemond what he wants to hear: That he should have been king. She urges him again to go to Harrenhal, reminding him that it is a stronghold that has withstood dragonfire before. She tells him there is wisdom in being afraid, even as Aemond insists he is not.
Alicent frames the mission as both strategy and survival. If Aemond flies to the Riverlands, he can draw Daemon out, and killing Daemon would be a devastating blow to Rhaenyra. She also tells Aemond that she cannot lose him. The appeal works, though not without disturbing consequences. Aemond kisses her, leaving Alicent horrified. In the end, Aemond agrees to leave King’s Landing, giving Alicent a small victory in a city slipping further out of her control.

On Dragonstone, Rhaenyra chooses to believe Alicent’s offer was real. Alicent risked everything by coming to her, and Rhaenyra believes that means the Greens know they cannot win. Jace is far less convinced. He warns his mother that flying to King’s Landing could be a trap and tells her not to trust Alicent, even after Rhaenyra reveals that Aemond and Vhagar have left for the Riverlands.
Rhaenyra then tells her council the truth: Alicent came to Dragonstone and offered a path into King’s Landing. Under the terms of the deal, Alicent, Helaena and Helaena’s child would be spared. Jace protests, but Rhaenyra is ready to act. With Aemond gone, she sees a chance to take the city and the Iron Throne.
Jace, however, refuses to let Rhaenyra risk herself. Before she can leave, he has the Queensguard lock her in her chambers and flies to battle himself. Mysaria (Sonoya Mizuno) tells Rhaenyra that Jace was only trying to protect her, but Rhaenyra rejects the idea that she needs protection. She is furious that her own son and her Queensguard would deny her command. Rhaenyra turns that anger on a dress, stabbing at it. She states “I might appear to have the weak and feeble body of a woman, but I possess the heart and spirit of a king.”

While Aemond takes control in King’s Landing, Aegon and Larys Strong make their escape in a cart carrying ravens. Aegon is in agony and fully aware of how far he has fallen. He calls himself the king of nothing, saying all he has left is a throne of raven droppings and a cripple for an adviser.
Their escape quickly goes wrong when the caravan is stopped by soldiers from House Staunton of Rook’s Rest. Larys claims they are transporting ravens to White Harbor, but the soldiers demand that they denounce the usurper and bend the knee to Queen Rhaenyra. Larys does so immediately. Aegon refuses to kneel.
Larys then makes a ruthless calculation. He reveals Aegon’s identity, telling the soldiers that the man in the cart is the former king who has fled the capital. When they find Aegon’s crown hidden in a bag, Larys points out that there will likely be a bounty for capturing the usurper.
War spreads across Westeros Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon'Courtesy of HBO
In the Riverlands, Daemon fights Lannister forces before preparing to return to the capital. Believing Jason Lannister to have gotten away, the Northern army arrives, led by Roderick Dustin (Tommy Flanagan), who delivers the Lannister's head and declares, “We have come to die for the dragon queen.”
The Greens are facing their own problems in the field. Gwayne Hightower is worried that Aemond has not arrived, leaving their forces exposed. He is also disturbed by what the war is doing to their men. After seeing soldiers assaulting a village girl, Gwayne brings the matter to Criston Cole, who seems to have lost all hope in humanity. Gwayne still believes their soldiers should act as knights, but Cole has lost any illusions about honor. He tells Gwayne to look to the sky and the horizon, warning that “doom and ruin surround us” and that they will all become beasts. Gwayne pushes back, insisting that only happens if they abandon their principles.
Elsewhere, Ulf, Hugh and Addam wait to see if Aemond will pass by on Vhagar. Their conversation is interrupted by a rumble, which Ulf first thinks might be Vhagar. Instead, they see a strange goat-like creature before Alys Rivers appears and tells them they are missing the battle at Dragonstone. When asked what she is, Alys answers plainly: she is a witch.
We also meet Lord Ormund Hightower, Alicent's cousin, who receives her letter ordering him to make camp until Aemond can join him in three days. When one of his men asks whether Aegon is dead, Ormund offers a cold answer: “One king is as good as another.”

36 Years After It Nearly Cost Her Career, Winona Ryder Satire Is Still a Cult Classic
Black comedy Heathers, starring Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, and Shannen Doherty, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 36 years ago. While it is now a cult classic, at the time, it was so controversial that it nearly cost Winona Ryder her career.
The black comedy followed Winona Ryder's downtrodden high school student who falls in love with Christian Slater's misanthropic newcomer. The only girl in her clique, not called Heather, Veronica Sawyer, and J.D. Dean, go on a murderous rampage against the popular students who wronged them.
The film has maintained its cult classic status, still connecting with younger generations. Despite its pop culture legacy, which also includes spawning a musical, it wasn't an immediate hit upon release.

At the time, it wasn't particularly well-received by the critics. When it debuted at the 1989 U.S. Film Festival, which is now known as Sundance, the Los Angeles Times film critic Sheila Benson wrote: “No amount of production sheen or acting skill seems excuse enough for the film’s scabrous morality or its unprincipled viciousness.”
But, the film acted as the perfect cynical anecdote for the peppy John Hughes movies like Pretty In Pink and The Breakfast Club. It hilariously examined the cruelty of teenage girls and forced us to confront our own relationship with our own behaviour in high school.
Underneath the camp and cynicism, Heather highlighted numerous difficult subjects that still resonate with viewers today. It looked at real issues that teens face daily, like bullying, eating disorders, homophobia, and self-harm.
It was these resonating topics that nearly lost Winona Ryder her career. “I was told I was never gonna work again if I did Heathers,” she told Elle last year.
Ryder told the magazine that she had landed a role in The Freshman alongside Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick, but after the filmmakers saw Heathers, they revoked the offer.”
“They thought it was making fun of teen suicide,” she recalled. “They were deeply offended and, yeah, they revoked the offer.”
The director, Michael Lehmann, defended the film against these claims in a 2016 interview with The Denver Post.
“The more horrifying or disturbing human behavior is, the more opportunity there is to mine it for certain types of comedy,” he explained. “You click it a few notches in one direction or another to make it absurd, and it allows to you to understand human behavior better, because people do horrible things with the best intentions.”
While Ryder previously told Harper’s Bazaar that her agent “literally got down on her knees” to beg her not to star in Heathers she thinks she "made the right call" in making the movie.

This Pop Rock Song About Mick Jagger Surged to No. 1 — And Still Gets Played Today
These days, Adam Levine can be spotted in a cozy chair as a returning coach for The Voice.
His pop rock band Maroon 5 is also keeping busy after all these years, continuing to churn out new tunes such as "Heroine," released last month.
But Sunday, June 21 marks exactly 15 years since one of their biggest hits dropped, with both a chorus and a title that shout out a current rock god.
"Moves Like Jagger" surged to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2011 and was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards (since it features Christina Aguilera). For a refresher, check out the lively music video below, which features vintage footage of Mick Jagger and his iconic dance moves.
As fans will recall, the lyrics refer to a guy's ability to impress a female with his dance moves, which he compares to those of Jagger, 82.
The song marked Maroon 5's second Hot 100 No. 1, Billboard noted back in 2011. The band previously reigned for three weeks in 2007 with “Makes Me Wonder.”
For Aguilera, 45, the return to the Billboard chart’s apex ended a long hiatus, given that she had last ruled alongside Lil’ Kim, Mya and P!nk on “Lady Marmalade” for five weeks in 2001. “Moves Like Jagger” was Aguilera’s fifth Hot 100 No. 1. She banked three leaders from her self-titled debut album in 1999-2000:
- “Genie in a Bottle”
- “What a Girl Wants”
- “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)”
Levine, 47, made headlines in April when he and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, walked the red carpet at the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The couple posed for photos, which were eventually posted on the internet. It didn’t take long for fans to react to said photos, with many pointing out that Levine, 47, had a different look about him. Find out more here.
1973 No. 1 Hit Ruled the Summer Charts Just Weeks Before Its Singer's Tragic Death
Legendary singer-songwriter Jim Croce had one of the biggest songs of the summer in 1973, but less than two months after scoring his first No. 1 hit, he was dead.
The late icon released "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" in March 1973 as the lead single from his fourth studio album, Life and Times. It ended up becoming the biggest hit of his career, spending two weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 in July of that year.
Rolling Stone lists the Croce track at No. 7 on the "20 Biggest Songs of the Summer" throughout the entire '70s decade.
But just weeks after the song reached massive success, Croce tragically died at age 30 on Sept. 20, 1973. He and his small crew were taking a chartered plane out of a Louisiana airport after a concert when the plane crashed seconds after takeoff, killing all six people on board.
The day after his death, Croce's "I Got a Name" was released on Sept. 21 1973, and it had debuted on the Hot 100 by early October.
View this post on InstagramAnother one of Croce's hits, "Time in a Bottle," also climbed up the charts after his death. Despite its initial release as part of Croce's debut album You Don't Mess Around With Jim in 1972, "Time in a Bottle" was later released as a single in November 1973 in the wake of Croce's death, and ended up becoming the second song from his catalog to reach No. 1.
Before and after his death, Croce had a career total of five songs make the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, including "You Don't Mess With Jim" which peaked at No. 8, "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song" (No. 9), and "I Got a Name" (No. 10).

Nicole Kidman Shares Surprising Message to Ex Keith Urban on First Father's Day Since Divorce
Nicole Kidman is keeping the focus on family this Father's Day.
The Oscar-winning actress surprised fans over the weekend when she shared a tribute to ex-husband Keith Urban, marking the first Father's Day since the former couple finalized their divorce earlier this year.
On Sunday, June 21, Kidman posted a pair of black-and-white throwback photos to her Instagram Stories celebrating the fathers in her life. One image showed Urban carrying their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, on his back when they were younger.
"Happy Father's Day to all the fathers," Kidman wrote across the photos, which also included a tribute to her late father, Dr. Antony Kidman, featuring a photo of him holding her as a young girl.

Kidman, 59, and Urban, 58, married in 2006 and were together for nearly two decades before announcing their separation in September 2025. Their divorce was officially finalized in January. According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets, the former couple cited "marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences" when filing to end their marriage.
The settlement established Kidman as the primary parent of the couple's two daughters, with Urban receiving parenting time every other weekend. The agreement also stated that neither party would pay alimony or spousal support, with both sides waiving those claims permanently.

In addition to Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, the actress is also the mother to Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Kidman's Father's Day tribute did not mention Cruise.
Though Kidman and Urban have largely kept details of their post-divorce relationship private, she did offer a brief update on how she's moving forward in the months after their split. Speaking to Variety in March, Kidman said she's "doing all right" following what she described as a difficult year.
"I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward," Kidman said. "That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect."
’90s Country Legend Announces Free Live and At-Home Viewing for Farewell Concert
So, the Alan Jackson: Last Call - The Finale show is sold out. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to still see the show live next Saturday, June 27.
Just down the street from Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, where the country legend will take the stage for the last time, “serving up one more round before he retires from touring,” there’s a Jackson-inspired party going down with several venues airing a live broadcast of the Hall of Famer's soon-to-be-epic showcase, Saving Country Music reported.
View this post on InstagramFirst off, the city is closing down part of Lower Broadway that Saturday for “Keepin’ It Country on Broadway.” In addition to live performances from frequent Jackson opener James Carothers and singer-songwriter Cory Farley, there will be a giant screen showing a live broadcast of the concert. Entry is free and open to the public; gates open at 4 p.m. And should you get hungry, AJ’s Good Time Bar, Jackson’s grub hub, is right down the street.
Option No. 2 might be a bit tougher, as space is limited. But the Country Music Hall of Fame is opening its CMA Theater up for country fans to watch the live feed. Tickets are free, but you do need to reserve them.
Another way to see the show is to go back to school, Belmont University, that is. The college is opening its Fisher Center to those looking to catch the live feed. Though this option is not free, proceeds go to a good cause: They will help launch the Alan Jackson Legacy endowed scholarship supporting aspiring musicians and artists of the future. There will also be a live band performing at this spot. Doors and pre-show open at 6:30 p.m. And there are plenty of tickets still available.

Don’t want to leave home at all? NBC has your back. The network is sending a camera crew to the concert to later package together a special to be broadcast and made available for streaming on Peacock. Air dates are still TBD.
Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finaleis the last full-length concert of Jackson’s touring career. It’s set for Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, which is also the home of the Tennessee Titans.
“We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started for me, and that’s in Nashville – Music City -- where country music lives,” Jackson said.
In addition to Jackson, there’s an all-star lineup on hand to make the night unforgettable. Here’s the list, per the event’s page: Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright, and Carlisle Wright.

1980s Rock Legend's Replacement, Criticized by Fans for Nearly 20 Years, Speaks Out
For decades, Journey fans have debated whether anyone could truly replace Steve Perry.
Nearly two decades after stepping into Steve Perry's shoes as Journey's lead singer, Arnel Pineda is speaking candidly about the comparisons he still faces from longtime fans. The frontman recently reflected on the pressure of performing the band's classic hits, admitting he's up against something no singer can ever fully match: fans' memories.
During a recent show, Pineda addressed the negativity on stage.
"P.S. my singing here may not be perfect. And for a lot of purists, it's a disrespect to the one and only voice, Steve Perry," he said, according to Steve Champagne. "But doing five shows a week can do quite a lot of damage, if you get what I'm saying."
Pineda — who joined the band in February 2008 — recently revealed that he tried to quit the band.
"I said to [Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain] I wanted to retire because of my personal problems. No answer," he explained in an interview with Rolling Stone published in March. "Obviously, they don’t want to find another singer."
According to the Filipino artist, he informed his bandmates that he intended to retire due to "personal issues."
"My personal problem really took a toll on me. That's why I wanted to prioritize my family. It's not that I hate touring with [Journey]. It's like the same thing that happened with Steve Perry. He has a hip problem," Pineda added. "Me, I have a personal problem that’s taking a toll on me. It's getting in my head, emotionally. I told them that I was a wreck and needed a little more time so that I could fix my family. But I still have to do this."
View this post on InstagramUltimately, the band announced its 60-stop U.S. tour for 2026 called the Final Frontier. They would later add an additional 40 shows.
Pineda later took to social media to address the "purists" once again.
"As scared as i am from the start ‘til now (believe it or not) i did what’s asked of me to do on behalf of the band’s LEGACY..lots of mishaps, stumblings, shameful moments, gigantic self-doubt, imperfections and before we all knew it,18 and a half years has passed," he wrote in April, adding that he has been "chasing the shadows of greatness i’ll never be able to catch nor achieve."
He continued, "to the believers, #thankyou, to the non-believers, thank you still, to the purist who’s consistently dismissed me? i understand & thank you too…"
Five Below's New 2-Pack of Foldable Storage Bins Comes in the Loveliest Antiqued Floral Design
Few storage solutions have had the cultural impact of the humble cube shelf. Seriously, the IKEA Kallax has to be one of the most successful organizational products of the modern era. I don't know how many the retailer sells each year, but if you've ever stepped inside a dorm room, home office, playroom or apartment, you've probably spotted at least one. The appeal is obvious: cube storage is versatile, surprisingly affordable and capable of making almost any space look well-maintained with very little effort.
But what really transformed cube shelving from purely practical to genuinely fun was the rise of decorative storage bins. Stores quickly realized people didn't just want a place to stash clutter—they wanted a way to personalize their shelves. Suddenly, storage became part of the decor. Neutral fabrics gave way to cheerful colors, bold patterns and designer-inspired prints that completely change the look of a room.
Toile Print Cube Storage Bins 2-Pack, $5.55 at Five BelowFive Below
Today, cube bins are as much about style as they are about organization, allowing you to mix and match pieces that reflect your personality. Because if you're going to hide away the clutter, it might as well look cute while doing it. That's why Five Below's Toile Print Cube Storage Bins 2-Pack are such a lovely find. For $5.55, you get two perfectly sized cube bins in the prettiest pink toile pattern.

What makes these fabric bins even better is that they're easy to fold when not in use. So, let's say you want to switch out your decor for the season and replace these bins with a different print or color for a while—just fold 'em up and stow them away for later use.
The bins also feature a cutout handle, so it's a piece of cake to pull each one from your shelving unit and access the contents inside.
Five Below's own shelves are absolutely packed with pretty finds, like a set of pink bow-shaped string lights, a lovely cottagecore-style area rug and a vintage-inspired tabletop mirror that looks like it came straight from Anthropologie. For practical stuff, the retailer has a set of helpful puck lights that will add a little glow to any room and a roll-up table that makes picnics so much more comfortable.
Wyndham Clark Wins the U.S. Open — and His Dad's Surprise Visit Steals the Show
Wyndham Clark just won the U.S. Open, and the pro golfer celebrated in a way that’s very fitting for the ‘day.’
The last day of the tournament coincided with Father’s Day. And that left almost no time for players like Clark to spend with their families. But now that the two-time champ (he won the U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club in 2023) is finally getting the chance to celebrate with his dad.
In a seriously heartwarming clip posted on the U.S. Open’s Instagram page, Wyndham clenches the title and immediately rushes to his father for a big bear hug.
View this post on InstagramAlong with sharing the video, the post also reveals, “Wyndham’s dad flew in overnight and surprised him on the 18th hole.”
When asked about the sweet surprise during a post-win interview, Clark said, “That was a shock. My dad hasn’t been to many events, and last year, not last year, ‘23, he wasn’t there, which was really unfortunate, so for him to be here in person is amazing.” The champ continued, “Happy Father's Day, Pops. I love you so much. And I’m just glad we could share this together.”
"Today is my day."

Like his son, Randall Clark is also an athlete. Back in 2023 (at the U.S. Open), Clark said of his father, “He took me to tournaments. My dad played professional tennis. He is an athlete; he gets it. He instills hard work and discipline, and I feel like I have a lot of fieriness from him, so he has given me a lot. My dad is a big reason why I’m out here.”
The former tennis player had a major health scare in 2024. That September, Wyndham opened up about his father while at Pebble Beach, saying, “So my dad, it’s his 70th birthday. My dad, about 16, 17 weeks ago, had open heart surgery. It kind of put a lot of things in perspective. You know 70 is a big number to make it to, and all his friends are around the same age.”
He added, “So we brought out eight of his best friends, my brother and I, and we’re out here playing Spyglass and Pebble and enjoying ourselves. So, celebrate my dad.”
What do fans think of Wyndham Clark’s dad?Fans couldn't get enough of Randall flying all night to see his son win the U.S. Open, writing on Instagram, “What a memory this will be for both of them” and “A special moment, Good for them both.”
1977 No. 1 Hit Ranked Among the ‘Greatest Country Songs of All Time’ Was Inspired by a Beloved Dog
In June of 1977, Crystal Gayle released what would become her biggest major success with the teary-eyed ballad “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.”
The classic country hit, written by Richard Leigh, who had penned a previous hit for Gayle, features a jazzy feel, a sway-worthy beat, gentle piano, and sweeping strings. Lyrically, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” finds Gayle regretfully crooning over a breakup while reflecting on the way she treated her once other half.
But it’s Gayle’s warm and silky set of vocals, which stand out over the dreamy accompaniment.
Despite her dramatically sultry vocals on the track, the tune wasn’t originally meant for Gayle. According toAmerican Songwriter, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” was initially penned for Welsh singer Shirley Bassey. Once it fell into Gayle’s hands, she felt the song belonged to her, and it only took a single take at Jack’s Tracks recording studio in Nashville to be ready for release.
“That was a first take,” Gayle told Billboardin a previous interview. “I did not re-sing it. It just fell into place, beginning with Pig Robbins‘ opening work on the piano. It was magic in the studio that day.”
Interestingly, the inspiration for the tune didn't come from a once-romantic relationship that seemingly fell apart, but rather from an experience the songwriter had with his pet dog, Amanda.
According toCountryThangDaily, Leigh came up with the idea for the song after noticing the color of his dog’s eyes — a detail confirmed by Gayle in a 2004 interview on Country Music Television. The story goes that Leigh’s pup had lost the color in one brown eye after a trash collector threw rocks at the four-legged friend, leaving the animal with one blue and one brown eye.
Belonging on her fourth studio album, We Must Believe In Magic, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” has gone on to become Gayle’s signature hit. The ballad topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, where it remained for four weeks, and also became a major pop crossover success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also made a major impact overseas, becoming Gayle’s only Top 5 hit in the UK.
Additionally, the song won Gayle a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1978, and landed at No. 109 on Rolling Stone’s ranked list of 200 Greatest Country Songs of All Time in 2024.
'Criminal Minds' Star Apologizes for Saying 'You Suck' After Criticism
Actors sometimes make their feelings known about negative reviews of their work. Paget Brewster played Emily Prentiss on Criminal Minds. She returned as the same character for Criminal Minds: Evolution, which is different from the network version of the show.
Brewster, 57, singled out a specific reviewer online. She then apologized the next day.

Brewster made a public message to a review on X on June 20. "Hello critic Shealyn Scott," she wrote. "You’re young. You don’t know that bad pics and bad reviews can lead to 350 people losing their jobs. Sell vintage. Work at a shelter. Do something better than what you do now. Because right now you suck."
The critic writes for ScreenRant. Brewster also posted a selfie from her trailer that day. "I’m mostly at work every day. This is my trailer. Which I get because you guys watch @criminalminds. Thank you! Everyone in our crew thanks you. Have a beautiful weekend, my friends," she wrote before apologizing.

And I’m sorry to those who follow me that you saw me behave like that. Turns out, last night, I sucked," the actress posted on X on June 21.
Brewster's angry tweet came after Scott wrote about the changes with the new show, including its TV-MA rating, which allows the characters to use more colorful language. The Paramount+ show has a shorter season with 10 episodes.

"That’s what’s so beautiful about the show, and I think that’s why people really love it," she told TV Insider. "These characters, they’re not just characters. There is a sense of family and having each other’s back through the good, the bad, and the ugly."

The season also might've gotten a boost in views with Connor Storrie playing Lance Kingston. Criminal Minds: Evolution was renewed for season 20, set to stream in 2027.

For years, corkboards suffered from an image problem. They're practical, sure, but they also often look like they belong under fluorescent lights in a school hallway, a teacher's lounge or a corporate break room. Function always came first, and style was usually nowhere to be found. But much like so many other utilitarian household staples, corkboards have undergone a glow-up.
Today's versions aren't just organizational tools—they're part of the decor. They can anchor a gallery wall, add texture to a room and showcase everything from family photos to inspiring quotes in a way that feels pretty rather than cluttered. In fact, some are so stylish that at first glance, you might not even realize they're corkboards at all.
Floral Corkboard with Bow, $23.99 (orginally $29.99) at Kohl'sKohl's
Shop It!That's especially true as designers embrace softer colors, decorative frames and elevated details that make these pieces feel more like wall art than office supplies, like Kohl's Floral Corkboard with Bow. The result is a perfect marriage of form and function: a spot to keep life's reminders within view without sacrificing your aesthetic. For anyone who loves decor that works as hard as it looks good, the modern corkboard proves that staying organized can actually be chic.
Personally, I think this floral version works just as well in a styled entryway as it does in a dorm room. The frame gives almost Anthropologie Gleaming Primrose vibes (except with a bow instead of flowers), and the floral print offers LoveShackFancy energy without the LoveShackFancy price tag, if you know what I mean.
Measuring 24 inches tall by 16 inches wide, it's large enough to keep photos, invitations and reminders on display without overwhelming your wall. And it arrives ready to use with no assembly required. The attached hanging hook makes installation quick and easy. Weighing just over 2 pounds, it's lightweight enough to hang without worry.
There are so many cute ways to disguise what might seem like clutter, but things you need to keep at the ready. Like Five Below's Book Boxes, which are literally designed to look like pastel-covered travel books but actually hold little odds and ends. And don't even get me started on this gorgeous cabinet at World Market that looks like an artisanal bazaar find. Because disguising your chaos in plain sight is one of the best home hacks of all.
Meghan Markle Shares Sweet Father’s Day Message to Her ‘One and Only’
Meghan Markle shared a heartfelt message to her “one and only” on Father’s Day.
The Duchess of Sussex honored her husband, Prince Harry, with a precious pic featuring the Duke and the couple’s two children—seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet—as they gave their father a huge hug. Along with the sweet snapshot, Meghan praised the doting dad, writing, “They’re so lucky to have you.” Cue the collective, “Awww!”
View this post on InstagramLook closely at the photo, and football (that is, soccer in the U.S.) fans will see that Markle isn't just honoring Harry. She’s also giving a major shoutout to her husband’s home country. While both Lilibet's and Archie’s faces are hidden from view, the seven-year-old is clearly sporting an England FIFA World Cup 2026 t-shirt. And if you’re searching for a similar top (or the same shirt that Prince Archie is wearing in his mom’s Instagram post) for your tot, we found the child-sized shirt on Zara’s website!
Perhaps Markle’s nod to England is in reference to the family’s upcoming trip. Reportedly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lilibet, and Archie will visit the UK for the first time as a family in four years.
Other British Royals Wish Their Dads a Happy Father’s DayMarkle wasn’t the only member of the royal family to share an emotional Instagram message on Father’s Day. The official Royal Family page posted a photo of a young King Charles with his father, Prince Philip, and the caption, “Celebrating all Fathers and thinking of those who wish they could be with their Dads, today.”

Middleton captioned the couldn’t-be-cuter photo of her husband and his mini-me kiddo, “Happy birthday and Father’s Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much.”
