If your plant collection has outgrown its usual spots, or you’re just ready for a more polished setup — it might be time for an easy upgrade. The Costway 6-Tier Wooden Plant Stand at Walmart offers a space-saving way to corral up to eleven pots in one spot, so you can go vertical instead of cluttering your floors and shelves with assorted planters.
Even better, it’s currently on sale at Walmart for just $43, down from $109. Made from solid, weather-resistant fir wood, this heavy-duty stand works just as well indoors as it does on a balcony or patio. The six-tier, staggered design gives each plant its own space, helping them get better light instead of being shaded by the tier above.
Costway 6-Tier Wooden Plant Stand, $43 (was $109) at Walmart Shop at WalmartMeasuring a compact 30 by 10 inches, it’s able to accommodate a mix of plant sizes — including small succulents and roses, as well as cactus and tulip plants in heavier ceramic pots. The slatted shelves are a practical bonus, too, allowing excess water to drain through rather than collect on the surface.
Walmart shoppers noted that the plant stand is easy to assemble and comes together quickly, with many praising its sturdy build and “beautiful,” versatile design. One reviewer said it’s “a good fit pretty much anywhere,” while others liked it enough to go back and purchase a second one.
It’s not just for plants either. The stand can double as a display shelf for books, framed photos, or decorative accents. Some shoppers have even used it to create a “living wall” or vertical garden effect for their living spaces. As one buyer put it, “It’s exactly what I was looking for!”

I Ate Dinner at 5 PM for a Month—Here’s What Happened to My Belly Bloat
Like many individuals, I deal with a consistently bloated belly. The most frustrating part isn’t just the physical discomfort—that extra-full, tight feeling in the tummy—it’s how much it impacts my daily life and quality of sleep. Bloating can make everyday activities much more challenging to enjoy, which is especially tough because I’m a total foodie who loves checking out new restaurants and different cuisines. I also have a major sweet tooth; enjoying an afternoon snack is my favorite time of day.
I kicked off this year with the goal of improving my overall well-being, which meant getting to the root cause of my belly bloat. Bloating can be triggered by a variety of things, including stress, food and hormones. I’ve already made some dietary changes, like drinking more water, limiting certain foods commonly linked to bloating (like lentils, beans and cruciferous vegetables) and consuming more anti-inflammatory foods like fatty fish, nuts, berries, avocados and olive oil.
But since disrupted sleep is part of the equation as well, I decided to start eating dinner earlier to see whether it would help me get more restful Z’s and avoid waking up feeling full. Rather than wait to eat dinner with my husband at 7:30 p.m. after his commute home from Manhattan, I started having dinner at 5 p.m. for a month. Here’s what happened to my belly bloat.

How Eating Dinner Earlier Can Impact BloatingAccording to Johannah Katz, RD, a registered dietitian from Consumer Health Digest, earlier dinners can majorly affect bloating, digestion and sleep due to their interaction with the body’s circadian rhythm.
“The gastrointestinal system follows a daily rhythm—gastric emptying, enzyme secretion and motility are generally more efficient earlier in the day and slower at night,” Katz explains. “[Studies] show that eating later—particularly close to bedtime—can impair glucose tolerance, delay gastric emptying and increase gastrointestinal discomfort.”
Eating your last meal of the day three to four hours before hitting the sheets decreases your risk of gastric reflux and heartburn, further contributing to a better night’s rest.
“Earlier dinners also better align with the body’s natural metabolism and circadian rhythm, allowing for more efficient breakdown of nutrients and better control of blood sugar,” says Catherine Dowling, RDN, LDN, registered dietitian at MedStar Health.

Here’s What My Early Dinner Routine Looked LikeRather than simply tweaking the time of my dinner, I adopted a holistic approach, taking into account healthy ingredients, portion sizes and even just the right post-dinner routine.
I opted for homemadeI’ve always been a major proponent of choosing homemade over takeout—and this experiment was no exception.
Each night for a month, I prepared a delicious home-cooked meal. While I genuinely enjoy being creative in the kitchen, the work week is always chaotic, so I rely on quick, simple and nutritious recipes through a meal delivery service. My husband and I have been ordering Hungryroot for quite some time and I’m truly obsessed, as it eliminates any decision fatigue with a ton of recipes to choose from and saves me a trip to the grocery store. I feel healthy whenever I eat it, but I was particularly mindful that each meal included a combination of protein, fiber and healthy fats.
Some weekends I experimented with healthy dishes on my own with lean protein and fresh produce from a local farm, or I’d whip up a freshly tossed salad.

I was mindful of portion sizesI made sure not to over-eat. Katz recommends moderating portion sizes and avoiding large meals at the end of the day to beat the bloat—so that’s exactly what I did. I listened to my hunger cues that told me when I was satisfied and I knew when to push the plate away and package up any leftovers.

I added some movement to my end-of-day routineMy routine didn’t stop there. I found that I feel overall so much better when I move my body after consuming a meal. In fact, Katz says that taking a brisk 10 to 15-minute walk can make a major difference in gastric motility, which leads to decreased bloating and feeling of fullness.
On most nights, I laced up my sneakers and headed outdoors for a quick walk around my neighborhood. This was a refreshing switch-up from my usual evenings of kicking back in front of the TV or curling up with a book. (The beautiful springtime weather also made this an easy habit to stick with!)
In addition to walking, I’ve become a major fan of deep belly breathing exercises to calm my nervous system and relax at the end of the day. Each night, I streamed a soothing playlist and focused on my breath work as I did child’s pose, happy baby, ball squeezes and glute bridges.

The ResultsAfter being consistent with earlier dinners for a month, I can confidently say I feel so much better. My bloating has significantly improved, my nights feel more restful and I’m far less fatigued throughout the day. (Farewell, mid-afternoon slump!)
That said, I think my well-rounded routine helped me achieve success. It’s a healthy combination of eating earlier, prioritizing nutritious meals and adding a bit of movement to my evenings. This makes perfect sense, as I’ve officially built a well-rounded routine that works for me.

Long-Running 1977 Romantic Comedy TV Series Still Ranks Among the Best Ever
1.5h on Sunday, probably 1.5h before too. Do final read.
Few shows captured romance and escapism quite like the long-running TV series The Love Boat. The weekly show ran in the popular Saturday night lineup for nine seasons from 1977 to 1986, and it still ranks among the best romantic comedy TV series today.
According to the Ranker list of "The 70+ Best Romantic Comedy TV Series Of All Time," fans currently rank The Love Boat as No. 40, beating out shows such as the '80s series Remington Steele and the mid-2010s favorite Schitt's Creek. The Love Boat also remains popular enough to be ranked on JustWatch Daily Streaming Charts. As of May 5, 2026, the show ranks at No. 2,324 on the daily charts from JustWatch, which collects data from >60 million movie and TV show fans per month and includes information for 4,500 streaming services.
On May 5, 1977, exactly 49 years ago today, The Love Boat first premiered on ABC as a series of three, made-for-TV movies. The success of the movies helped launch the popular romantic comedy-drama series, executive produced by Aaron Spelling, about the crew of the Pacific Princess cruise ship and their weekly interactions (and shenanigans) with an array of cruise ship guests. Longtime fans will remember that the show aired in that popular two-hour Saturday block, along with Fantasy Island, which came on right after. The weekly series officially ran from September 24, 1977 to May 24, 1986.
Fans couldn't stop "coming aboard" The Love Boat every week and escaping into each episode's multiple storylines that were filled with romantic comedy, loads of camp, and even a wee bit of good drama.
The cast who played the beloved core crew also kept fans coming back week after week. The regular cast of actors who playedThe Love Boat crew characters, included:
- Gavin MacLeod as Captain Merrill Stubing
- Bernie Kopell as Dr. Adam "Doc" Bricker
- Fred Grandy as Burl "Gopher" Smith
- Ted Lange as Isaac Washington
- Lauren Tewes as Julie McCoy
- Jill Whelan as Vicki Stubing
- Ted McGinley as Ace
The other huge success driver for The Love Boat? The show included an extraordinary number of celebrity guest appearances—new ones every week and, quite often, an appearance from their regular guest, singer, comedian, and actress Charo.
Some of the major stars who came aboard for at least one episode of The Love Boat included:
Iconic Hollywood legends
- Ginger Rogers: Legendary dancer and actress
- Olivia de Havilland: Classic Hollywood star
- Gene Kelly: Famed dancer and actor
- Ethel Merman: Broadway legend

Decades later, The Love Boat remains classic TV favorite, and fans still rank the show among the best because it invokes all the necessary comforts of a good nostalgia viewing (it's truly like stepping back into the late '70s and early '80s). It's light. It's easy. There's a laugh track, and it holds wide appeal with its cross-generational list of guests and storylines.
The Love Boat defined an era of TV and became a pop culture staple. It also went onto inspire future ensemble cast shows. In other words, before there was White Lotus, there was The Love Boat. Even The Simpsons took a page out of The Love Boat guest star handbook.

Love Boat: The Next Wave, the short-lived sequel to the original show, ran for two seasons from 1998-1999. In 2022, there was also an unrelated reality dating series called The Real Love Boat.
The Love Boat original series is currently available for streaming via Pluto TV (Seasons 1-7, currently free), as well as Paramount+, where subscription fees apply.
Six Flags Just Announced the Return of a Fan-Favorite Holiday Tradition
If you felt like something was missing from your winter calendar last year, you weren't alone. After hearing from fans "loud and clear," Six Flags President and CEO John Reilly has confirmed that the beloved Holiday in the Park is making a triumphant return to Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia in 2026.
This isn't just a simple case of untangling the old string lights, though. The event is undergoing a massive "multi-year investment" and a complete creative transformation that aims to turn the parks into living holiday storybooks.
The goal for 2026 is to move away from being just a theme park with some festive decor and toward becoming a fully immersive experience that rivals the most famous Christmas destinations.
Creative Director Logan Wince and Entertainment Director Kelly Daugherty are leading the charge to ensure that "every detail—from the lighting and décor to the music, characters and shows—has been carefully designed to feel emotionally rich, playful and celebratory."

Six Flags
The plan kicks off with three brand-new themed lands that are intended to wrap guests in "warmth, wonder and joy" the second they step through the gates, with more lands expected to debut in the seasons that follow.
For those who worry about the Jersey or Georgia chill, the park is being intentional about the new layout. Reilly notes that this reimagined version is specifically designed to "maximize the warmth of the day for rides and entertainment" while offering "plenty of cozy ways for guests to warm up" once the sun goes down.
It’s a balance of high-velocity thrills on world-class coasters and quiet, nostalgic moments like cookie decorating and gingerbread house building. Daugherty emphasizes that the team wanted each area to feel like guests have stepped "inside a holiday dream, where traditions feel familiar but the experience is fresh, awe-inspiring and full of heart."
Beyond the massive new light displays and the nightly tree lighting spectaculars, the 2026 return is leaning heavily into live performances, from carolers and musicians to a new indoor mainstage show.
It’s all part of a strategy to provide more value for passholders, especially those who snag a Gold or Prestige membership during the current Memorial Day sale. While we have to wait a little longer for the specific calendar of dates and the full ride list, the message for 2026 is that festive traditions are shining again with a celebration "designed to delight all generations."

1962 Romantic Classic Was No. 1 Hit 64 Years Ago Today
When you’re a jet, you’re a jet all the way, and when you’re a smash hit both on Broadway and on the big screen, it’s not surprising that your soundtrack is also a huge success on the music charts.
On May 5, 1962, the original motion picture soundtrack for West Side Story went number one on the Billboard 200 chart, eventually staying in the top spot for a staggering 54 weeks, creating a record that many others have tried, and failed, to best.

Recorded for the 1961 romantic musical movie that tells the story of Romeo and Juliet through the lens of two young New York City youths affiliated with rival gangs, the soundtrack paved the way for future soundtrack albums to top the mainstream charts, including 1968’s The Graduate, with its haunting songs by Simon & Garfunkel, as well as two huge 1978 John Travoltamovies, Saturday Night Fever and Grease.
As the decades progressed, more huge music hits came from movie soundtracks, including the 1992 romantic thriller The Bodyguard, which shot to the top of the charts and spent 14 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100 spot thanks to Whitney Houston’s stunning reimagining of Dolly Parton’s “And I Will Always Love You.” But none came close to West Side Story’s massive chart success.

Originally written between 1955 and 1957 by lyricist Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein, who was by then a veteran composer, the music for the musical and later movie wasn’t something that Sondheim originally felt translated well to film. Despite that, Sondheim conceded, telling The Billboard Book of Number One Albums that “What was wonderful about the film was that it introduced the piece to many thousands of people who never had a chance to see the show.”
The prolific lyricist behind huge hits like Company and Into the Woods also shared that “When the show opened in New York City, they said it’s all very exciting, but you can’t hum anything. Then the movie came out four years later and suddenly everyone could hum everything.”

Internet-Favorite Nurse Jen Hamilton Shares the Top 3 Things That Shock First-Time Moms During Labor (Exclusive)
Becoming a new mom is such an exciting time, but it is also intimidating for a thousand reasons. So much of being pregnant (and going through labor and delivery itself) involves hearing terms and being given choices for options that many of us have never, ever heard before. On the L&D floor, for example, unexpected conversations might revolve around effacement, Foley bulbs, Stadol vs. fentanyl, fundal massages and more.
Jen Hamilton, content creator, labor and delivery nurse, and author of Birth Vibes: Stories and Strategies for an Empowered Birth (out May 5), wants to take the surprise and the unknown out of the equation as much as possible. As someone who feels strongly about "the experience that patients leave with," Jen wrote this book to share information that will ultimately help empower whoever is reading it—whether you're pregnant, a support person or someone who had kids twenty years ago.
One of the taglines on Jen's website reads: "The delivery room decoded— by the internet’s favorite labor nurse." And that she is. With 4.8M TikTok followers and 1.8M followers on Instagram, those of us who have followed her for years are definitely used to compassionate and hilarious stories from the L&D floor, along with the occasional chicken video, community callout to support an unsuspecting content creator with love, and even cheeky responses to national parks accounts that are posting about Jen's booty on social media (yes, you read that correctly).
Ahead of speaking with Jen, I sat down and devoured Birth Vibes in a matter of hours. I cannot even begin to tell you the number of times that I looked up from the pages and said to my husband, "I wish this existed eight years ago," or "This would have changed so much for me."
I was the first of my close friends to have a baby, and could have used a tool like this to help my anxiety, and simply go into labor feeling a lot more prepared. After all, as Jen reiterates throughout her book, information/knowledge is power. Even if that knowledge includes the comparison of pain in the nether regions post-delivery to cutting the inside of your cheek.
Before I delivered my first baby, I had heard of preparing a birth plan, but besides "please give me an epidural," I had no idea what else I would even want to say. I didn't know I could share things like "the communication style that I learn best from" or a list of things that trigger me or help me feel comforted, like what appears on Jen's "Birth Vibes Profile" that is featured in her book.
I didn't know I could ask for a different nurse when my first night nurse continued to brush off my concerns about pain early on in my scheduled induction. I never thought to ask the staff who was present during my deliveries to walk me through the scary or confusing moments that happened when everything was a blur of contractions and nausea.
It was healing, in a significant way, to read the words of a nurse who cares so much about her patients, and who has been through these experiences herself as a mom of two. The way she writes is not only positive and informative, but also like she's talking to a friend—which is how she consistently comes across to her on-screen audience as well.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Jen ahead of her book's release, and we talked about everything from the importance of self-advocacy (even if you, like us, are self-proclaimed people-pleasers) to what partners and visitors need to keep in mind during delivery ("It's not about you!") to whether or not she's interested in writing another book down the road.

Grand Central Publishing
Parade:You’ve posted before about how publishers had reached out to you before you ever considered writing a book—can you share a little bit about your decision to write this book and how you decided to organize it, and what to include?
JH: So at first I kind of pooh-poohed off people who had asked me if I'm going to write a book, because I don't even write a journal, you know? I don't write anything. So I didn't think I'd be good at it, first of all. And then, secondly, as people start asking me, I'm like, "What if I did? What would I write about?"
And so the one thing that was really important to me was the experience that patients leave with. And I found that a lot of patients who come in with very specific birth plans, as I'm hearing them retell their birth stories and they're telling them about how traumatic they were, I'm listening and hearing things that are very normal that happen during labor in birth, but if they were only communicated with in a compassionate, empathetic, accurate way, I feel like, you know, possibly, it could have prevented the birth trauma, but it also could have, you know, just made it a little bit less, which I feel like is super easy to do if only we had that piece that was missing.
So when it came down to writing the book, I knew that I needed to illustrate the points that I'm making in story form. There's so many times that I wish that people could see what I see at work, you know? Whether that has to do with like, "Hey, you can have a birth that does go different than you thought and still have a transformative experience." And also, "You can have a birth that checks off every box on your birth plan and leave that experience feeling traumatized if you weren't cared for in those other ways."
So that was what was really important to me when it came to the structure of the book.

You cover so much in the book, including that dang fundal massage, which I had no clue about before giving birth and I talked about it to anyone and everyone for weeks afterward because I was like, "You have no idea what happens—this is terrible!"
Right! Nobody tells you this!
Nobody tells you! So, I'm wondering, in your experience, can you pinpoint two to three things that most surprise patients when they're in labor and delivery?
I have a lot of people who sign up to come in for an induction and think that their baby is going to be born that day, which often is not the case. I had a dad one time, say, "So what does this take, like 20 minutes?" And I was like, "Oh boy, we're in for it now."
I also have people who are so afraid of an epidural because the process to place it involves a needle that sounds very scary. I had a girl one time who was quite young, and her plan for pain control was "no epidural," that was her whole thing, and I'm going to support whatever she wants to do. So, I'm following along this plan of no epidural. She got to, like, eight centimeters, and she was screaming for an epidural. So we changed our plans, and then after she got the epidural and was starting to feel better, she started to sob, and I was like, "What? Are you okay?" And she was like, "Why did you let me wait this long?!"
So, I think that there's a lot of people who are not prepared for how little of a deal it is sometimes to get that epidural—like, it's not as bad as you think it is.
And then, the third one would just be all of the options that are available to you, and there's not one way of doing things—there's so many different paths that we can take to get to a happy outcome, and it's not "one size fits all." It's all about being able to weigh your choices with your team that you trust, and make informed and empowered decisions for yourself.

There's a common thread in your book—a gentle, empowering plea to have women advocate for themselves—and you give some great guidance and even specific scripts to help women communicate effectively if they’re not feeling heard or cared for. What would you say to someone who is scared to stick up for themselves because they're afraid to be labeled as "difficult" in that setting?
Yeah, I think that holds a lot of people back. And also the people-pleaser in us, which I really identify with, it's so hard to cross that threshold from accepting everything that's happening to you to saying like, "No, actually I'm not okay."
I think that being labeled "difficult" is definitely a fear of people. And then also just being somebody who's going against what someone else has suggested or, trying to do a change of plan—whether it's your nurse, your doctor, whoever that you're not vibing with—in those scenarios, I think that having specific scripts is very helpful.
But what I would say to someone who is struggling with crossing their own boundary of saying something is that you only get one of this experience, right? *I* come into work all the time, I do this all the time—it is not going to be as big of a deal as you think it is to the people around you, but you, you only get this one shot at this one birth. So thinking about it in that way, that you get to make the most of your own experience by sticking up for yourself, can help you to have that motivation or that courage to be able to say something in those moments.

100%. I think that's a really great reframe, that this is the norm for the individuals who work on this floor on a regular basis. So, it might be really uncomfortable for five minutes and then it's going to feel a lot better for the rest of your time there.
You’ve had so much experience not only working with laboring moms, but also with their support systems. Do you have any suggestions for the best things to bring or say while visiting at the hospital? Or any stories about what *not* to do, based on what you've seen?
The first thing I'd say is, and this is not meant to offend anybody, but it's not about you. However you're there to help, it's about them. And also, don't take anything that happens personally. I see dads get real timid and scared whenever they get yelled at. She's not mad at you—well, most of the time she not mad at you—she's mad at the situation.
And so people can be as boundary-enforcing as they need to be in that moment. And sometimes that means laying off. Sometimes that means "get over here and hold my hand." But it's about listening to her cues and also thinking about how she shows frustration in her real life, look out for those things. If you're doing something and she's like, you know, you can tell that she's tense if you're rubbing her back, okay, maybe take your hand off.
But I think that in the postpartum period, if you're supporting somebody who maybe you weren't at the hospital there with, please, please, please, please do not expect to come to their house to be entertained, to hold the baby, any of that stuff. Don't ask about you coming over to hold the baby at all. Just say, "When can I drop off food? When can I come get your laundry?"
Don't make the onus of responsibility on her because she's dealing with a lot in that time. So it's not about you, don't take anything personally, boundaries are okay, and don't offer to come hold the baby—offer to just help in other ways.

It’s very entertaining to describe you to someone else: she’s a labor and delivery nurse who’s hilarious, posts much-needed political or religious takes—and sometimes chicken content—and has also gone viral for her booty… I’m dying to know about how you felt when that first national parks video dropped, and what that whole experience has been like with those various Yellowstone and Niagara Falls accounts sharing their appreciation for you.
That's been so wild, it's so funny. I'm now mutuals with a lot of the people that do those accounts. I just think it's so funny. Our national parks are in such need right now in our current climate, and I think any way that we can get eyes on national parks and get people excited about going to the national parks, I think that is an awesome thing. So I welcome them to use whatever part of me that they need to in order to accomplish that goal.
On a more serious note, I really do think this book is not only helpful for expecting moms, but also anyone who wants to support a pregnant loved one or, like what I found for myself, receive some closure and healing from my own birthing experience by getting some information like this after the fact... Can you share what you hope readers will walk away with after reading Birth Vibes?
As I was writing this book, I saw several different groups of people being the audience. So first, obviously, someone who's pregnant, wanting to be pregnant, going to have a baby. The second are people who support those people: dads, moms, sisters, anybody in that sphere.
Next is the people who care for those people within the birth community, whether that's at a hospital, at a home birth or a birth center—so doulas, OBs, nurses, midwives, all of those people.
And then lastly, I wanted the book to be something that, just like you said, is something where people can read it and get clarity and closure on things that happened. Like I mentioned earlier, I see so many people explaining their birth stories and they'll say things like, "My baby's heart stopped during labor," and then they go on to explain that their baby was born a few hours later.
Well, I know that their baby's heart did not stop because obviously we had a healthy baby at the end of it. But not having that information be clear to them in that moment can be so traumatizing and catastrophic. So I think that having a book where you can kind of recognize that maybe some things that happened in your own birth and be like, "Oh, that's what was going on," or "Oh, I wish, I want to explain that to me then, then I wouldn't have carried this big scary thing with me all these years."
I had somebody a few weeks ago—they were one of the early readers—tell me that they're taking the book to their therapist to walk through their own birth experience and kind of reimagine it in a different way, which I thought was so nice and so sweet.
Absolutely! And after this experience, do you think you’d ever consider writing another book down the road?
I absolutely would love to write a book two. I don't know what it's going to be about yet, but that's something that I'm definitely interested in.

14 Songs That Were So Big, They Spent More Than 3 Months at No. 1
Some songs are hits and others are mega-hits, the kind of earworms that you can't seem to escape for months on end, the ones that dominate radio airplay, top streaming lists and break chart records. And stateside, the most reputable way to gauge a song's popularity is via the famous Billboard Hot 100 rankings, which launched back on August 4, 1958. The index tracks the 100 most popular songs across all genres each week using a mix of streaming activity, radio impressions and sales data as calculated by Luminate.
The biggest songs of all time haven't just topped the Billboard charts for a mere few days but for weeks-long, history-making stretches—only 4% of Hot 100 No. 1s have had the distinction of spending more than 10 weeks at the top of that index, and even fewer have exceeded 14 consecutive weeks at the top. (As for the nonconsecutive record, Mariah Carey's"All I Want for Christmas Is You" holds the title for total weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with 22 weeks.)
Here are 14 famous songs that spent more than three months at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 but be warned: These will definitely get stuck in your head!
14 Songs That Were No. 1 for 3 Months or More1. 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus (2019)Spending a record-breaking 19 consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 from April to August 2019, country rap hit "Old Town Road" was the smash-hit debut of American artist Lil Nas X, in no small part fueled by the song’s massive popularity on TikTok.
The remixed single featuring country star Billy Ray Cyrus was the chart’s No. 1 song of 2019 overall, making Lil Nas X (born Montero Lamar Hill) the youngest male artist with the year-end Hot 100 No. 1, and the second-youngest act ever to lead the year-end tally (after Lulu for the 1967 hit "To Sir With Love"), per Billboard.
2. 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' by Shaboozey (2024)Funnily enough, yet another massive country-rap hit tied Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" atop the annals of Billboard Hot 100 history: Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," the infectious fourth single from the musician's 2024 album Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, spent a whopping 19 nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the chart. It stood as the longest run by a solo artist until the one and only Mariah Carey eventually surpassed that stat with her enduring holiday classic, "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
And that's not the only Billboard record that "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" broke: the jaunty crowd-pleaser also spent 27 weeks at No. 1 on the all-format Radio Songs chart, breaking the record previously held by The Weeknd's colossal single "Blinding Lights." Shaboozey is also only the second Black artist to top both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts simultaneously, following Beyoncé's historic achievement earlier in 2024 with "Texas Hold 'Em."
3. 'Last Night' by Morgan Wallen (2023)The third single from his 2023 album One Thing at a Time, Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" not only peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs rankings, but it also reached the top of the Hot 100 list full stop, a first for the controversial country crooner overall and the first country song by any male solo artist in four decades, since Eddie Rabbitt's "I Love a Rainy Night" in 1981.
Along with that hugely popular single, Wallen's One Thing at a Time as a whole holds the record for the most songs simultaneously charted in a single week, with 36 tracks—literally every song on the album—on the Billboard survey.

4. 'One Sweet Day' by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men (1995)Again, Mariah Carey is no stranger to the Billboard charts—she basically crushes the list's longstanding records each and every holiday season. But over 30 years ago, the diva hit another high note with the release of "One Sweet Day," her collaboration with iconic R&B group Boyz II Men off her fifth studio album Daydream.
The emotional ballad debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed right there for 16 long, consecutive weeks, from December 2, 1995, to March 16, 1996, making history at the time as the longest-running Hot 100 No. 1 ever.
Fun fact: Boyz II Men previously held the very same record twice, with 1992's "End of the Road" spending 13 weeks at the top and 1994's "I'll Make Love to You" spending an impressive 14.
5. 'Despacito' by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber (2017)One of the biggest Latin songs of all time, reggaeton party starter "Despacito" from Puerto Rican pair Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee—off the former's tenth studio album Vida—was plenty popular on its own, but it hit another level of global recognition with an English-language remix featuring pop superstar Justin Bieber.
Released on April 17, 2017, with added lyrics by the Canadian singer, the remix tied Mariah and Co. for the longest-reigning number one on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time with 16 weeks. The song also became the longest-running number one on the Hot Latin Songs chart with 56 weeks from 2017 to 2026 (until Bad Bunny's "DtMF," that is).
“He opened up a lot of doors for us,” Fonsi told Billboard about adding Bieber to the production. “I’m really grateful that things just happened in such a beautiful way and all the stars aligned…The whole world was dancing and singing in Spanish, I’m proud of that.”

6. 'As It Was' by Harry Styles (2022)Both as a member of the pop phenomenon One Direction and as a solo artist, Harry Styles has gotten pretty good at breaking music records over the years—from his historic 12-show residency at London's Wembley Stadium to his latest album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., which surpassed one million units sold globally in its first week.
But it was actually the lead single off his previous album, 2022's Harry's House, that broke Billboard records: After debuting that April, "As It Was" enjoyed 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 list, the singer's second No. 1 after "Watermelon Sugar." "As It Was" was joined in the top 10 by fellow Styles singles "Late Night Talking," "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," and "Matilda," making the Grammy winner the first British solo artist to achieve the feat.

7. 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston (1992)Equipped with one of music's greatest voices and arguably the most famous drum hit in history, Whitney Houston's 1992 pop-ballad cover of the Dolly Parton masterpiece "I Will Always Love You" peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for a staggering 14 weeks. Released as part of the iconic movie soundtrack for Houston's film debut, The Bodyguard, the song also had an 11-week run at No. 1 on the Hot R&B Singles chart and earned Whitney the distinction of having the best-selling single of all time by a female solo artist worldwide.
As for the song's creator, Parton had publicly revealed that she actually prefers Whitney's version to her own. "When she started that, I almost wrecked. Honest to God. Had to pull over to the side at Walgreens there in Brentwood or where the Walgreens is now and to listen to the rest of it," the country icon told Howard Stern about hearing Houston's cover on the car radio for the first time. "I couldn’t believe my little country sad song could even be done like that. That was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life.”

8. 'I'll Make Love to You' by Boyz II Men (1994)One of the most successful vocal groups of the 1990s, Boyz II Men made many appearances on the coveted Hot 100 list, but their biggest was via the swoon-worthy lead single from the group's second album, II.
Released in July 1994, "I'll Make Love to You" dominated the Billboard rankings at No. 1 for 14 weeks, from August 27 to November 26, before the track was replaced at the top by another one of the group's singles, "On Bended Knee."
Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris and Michael McCary would break their No. 1 record one year later with "One Sweet Day," their 1995 collaboration with Mariah Carey.

9. 'Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)' by Los Del Rio (1996)From school dances to wedding receptions, Los Del Rio's "Macarena" was practically inescapable in the mid-'90s, aided in no small part by the novelty dance craze created to accompany the song.
The original track was released in 1993, but it hit stateside fame three years later by way of an English-language remix by Miami-based producers the Bayside Boys. Their reworked version reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks between August and November 1996.
Overall, the dance single stayed on the Hot 100 chart for 60 weeks, the longest reign among No. 1 songs until it was surpassed 15 years later by Adele's behemoth 2011 hit "Rolling in the Deep."

10-11. 'Candle in the Wind 1997/Something About the Way You Look Tonight' by Elton John (1997)The biggest double A-side single to reach No. 1 on Hot 100 charts was Elton John's October 1997 combo release of "Candle in the Wind" and "Something About the Way You Look Tonight," which held the ranking's top spot for 14 consecutive weeks.
The latter song was an entirely new production by John and his longtime lyrical partner Bernie Taupin, while the former was a reworking of the 1973 song of the same name which was originally inspired by Marilyn Monroe. That throwback track was reworked into the record-breaking “Goodbye England’s Rose” version, an emotional tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, who tragically died in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997.
With more than 33 million copies sold worldwide, “Candle in the Wind 1997” is still the best-selling physical single of all time, according to Guinness World Records. Proceeds from the single benefitted charities supported by the late royal.

12. 'Uptown Funk!' by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars (2014)An instant dance floor favorite, "Uptown Funk!" was released on Nov. 10, 2014, as the lead single off 2015's Uptown Special, from British-American DJ and record producer Mark Ronson, with groovy vocals byBruno Mars. That link-up proved to be quite a lucrative one, with "Uptown Funk!" reigning as one of the biggest and best songs of the 2010s, occupying the top spot on the Hot 100 list for 14 consecutive weeks until it was replaced by Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" featuring Charlie Puth.
But the hit song nearly happened by accident, as Ronson revealed to NPR: “It did come out of a jam at Bruno’s studio, you know? He was playing drums. And Jeff Bhasker, who co-produced the record with us, is on synths, and I was playing bass. And I think that that spirit, or at least the raucousness of maybe that, is in there.”
13. 'I Gotta Feeling' by Black Eyed Peas (2009)We had a feeling this one would make the list! TheBlack Eyed Peas' 2009 smash "I Gotta Feeling" initially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was actually pushed out of the top spot by their previous single "Boom Boom Pow." It soon rose to the No. 1 slot, where it sat comfortably for 14 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running number-one single of 2009.
Given how unabashedly feel-good the single is, its popularity wasn't much of a surprise, even to the group. "It's dedicated to all the party people out there in the world that want to go out and party," band member Will.i.am told Marie Claire at the time. "Mostly every song on the Black Eyed Peas record is painting a picture of our party life. It was a conscious decision to make this type of record. Times are really hard for a lot of people and you want to give them escape and you want to make them feel good about life, especially at these low points."

14. 'We Belong Together' by Mariah Carey (2005)Fittingly, the "14 Weeks" club is rounded out by Mariah Carey and her 2005 single "We Belong Together" off The Emancipation of Mimi, which was something of a creative comeback for the legendary singer. And what a comeback it was: The iconic R&B ballad marked Carey's sixteenth topper on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed in the No. 1 slot for 14 nonconsecutive weeks.
Proving its sheer crossover appeal, the single became the first song to simultaneously occupy the number one position on nine—yes, nine—Billboard charts at once, including the pop, R&B, hip-hop and dance rankings. We'd expect nothing less from Mimi!
This Pop Heartbreak Anthem Is the Most Popular 'Breakup' Song on Spotify
A good breakup playlist is a must-have for anyone nursing a broken heart, and for many Spotify listeners, Olivia Rodrigo's music is a go-to.
New Spotify listenership data reveals that one song from Rodrigo's discography specifically is the most popular song on breakup playlists, earning it the title of the streamer's top "breakup" song of all time.
While the "Vampire" songstress may have a lot of breakup anthems in her music catalog, the most popular breakup playlist track is none other than her 2021 hit song "traitor."
"Traitor" was the fourth single off Rodrigo's debut album, SOUR, which dropped in May 2021. The deep cut breakup anthem peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's Hot 100 in June of that year, and according to Spotify, it has been added to 131,000 "breakup" playlists, which is more than any other track in the history of the music streaming platform.
View this post on InstagramSpotify released new data last month in honor of its 20-year anniversary, unveiling ranked lists of the platform's most-streamed songs, artists, albums and even audiobooks, of all time to celebrate the milestone.
And "traitor" isn't the only one of Rodrigo's track to make Spotify history, as another song from her first album — her breakout hit "driver's license" — is ranked as Spotify's No. 1 Greatest Pop Song of the Streaming Era. It's ranked above other pop anthems by the industry's biggest music titans, likeTaylor Swift, Billie Eilish,The Weeknd and more.
Co-written by Rodrigo and Daniel Nigro, "driver’s license" was released it as the lead single off her debut album, SOUR, and spent a total of 8 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100. It also earned her a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance in 2022, and received nominations for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Nearly a Decade After Growing Apart, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato Reunite
For anyone who came of age watching Disney Channel in the early 2000s, the sight of Selena Gomez backstage at Madison Square Garden wrapping her arms around Demi Lovato was a delight. The photograph, shared to Gomez's Instagram Story with nothing but a red heart, captured something fans had been quietly hoping for across nearly a decade of distance.
Lovato headlined the Garden on April 24 as part of her It's Not That Deep Tour, her first MSG headline show. Gomez was in the crowd, and after the set, the two connected backstage. According to reporting from THR and confirmed by Lovato's own social media, it was their second in-person reunion in two weeks: Gomez had also attended Lovato's tour opener in Orlando on April 13, arriving with a bouquet of flowers and later appearing in a backstage photo that first rocked the internet.
View this post on InstagramThe friendship between the two goes back further than most fans realize. Lovato and Gomez first met as young children on the set of Barney & Friends, Lovato as Angela and Gomez as Gianna, before either had set foot on a Disney soundstage. Lovato has spoken about that pre-Disney bond, telling a podcast in March that having a built-in friendship when she arrived at the network made everything feel safer. The two became fixtures of the late-2000s Disney Channel golden era, Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place, Lovato on Camp Rock and Sonny with a Chance, and were photographed together constantly during that period. They were, for a time, the internet's favorite friendship.
By 2014, they had drifted. They unfollowed each other on social media. Lovato later addressed the split with characteristic directness, that people change, people grow apart. For years, questions about their friendship lingered in fan comment sections, but neither seemed to be forcing anything.
What may have made Lovato's It's Not That Deep era feel like the right moment for a reunion is the album itself. Released in October 2025, the record marked a full return to pop after Lovato spent years deliberately distancing herself from that chapter of her career. A deluxe edition dropped April 25, the day after the MSG show, adding eight new songs including 'Low Rise Jeans,' which Lovato debuted live at the Orlando opener. The whole arc (returning to something you once ran from, then finding it waiting for you) seems appropriate.
Lovato told Billboard backstage at MSG that the nostalgia fans are feeling right now is something the Disney generation is feeling from the inside too. 'I think the age that we're at is really loving nostalgia right now,' she said. 'For all the people who are in their 30s and have lived through the Disney era with me, Selena, the Jonas Brothers and Miley, they're craving it, and it's fun to go back and relive those moments.' That energy has produced a wave of reunions across the past several months. Miley Cyrus and a Hannah Montana anniversary, the Jonas Brothers pulling Lovato onstage during their own tour run, and now this. For fans who watched these friendships form in real time and then watched them dissolve, its quite a treat.
The EPCOT Sensation That Let You ‘Fly’ Officially Opened 21 Years Ago Today—And Its Most Popular Version Is About to Close
On May 5, 2005, the travel world changed forever with the official grand opening of Soarin’ at EPCOT in Florida.
Launched as the centerpiece of Disney’s "Happiest Celebration on Earth," the attraction was a technological marvel that did something no simulator had ever done before: it made you believe you were actually airborne.
Using a patented mechanical lift system that whisked rows of "gliders" into the air in front of a massive 80-foot OMNIMAX screen, Soarin' became an overnight sensation that redefined immersive travel.
While today marks the 21st anniversary of the ride’s Florida debut, the Soarin’ experience has evolved significantly over the years. The attraction originally opened with the California-centric film that started it all, but in June 2016, it was replaced by the current global journey, Soarin’ Around the World. Now, that international itinerary is scheduled to take its final flight on May 13, 2026.
While the original Soarin’ took visitors over the orange groves, redwood forests and coastlines of California, its fans quickly learned to love the 2016 upgrade. That second iteration, Soarin’ Around the World, swooped fans over 13 iconic locations including the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps, the Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Towerin Paris.
But the real news for travelers is what comes next. To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, Disney is launching an entirely new version of the ride—Soarin’ Across America. This brand-new iteration will debut at EPCOT on May 26, 2026, and at Disney California Adventure on July 2, 2026.
Related: Disney Announces Closing Date for Soarin'
As the official Disney Parks announcement notes: "Soarin’ Across America will celebrate the nation's natural beauty and iconic cityscapes... showcasing a domestic itinerary to 12 iconic U.S. locations with an original score and updated scents." For anyone's who's loved the globe-spanning version for the last decade, this week is the ultimate last call.
On Reddit, fans are already sharing their final goodbyes to the "Leaning Eiffel Tower" (a famous visual quirk of the current screen) and looking forward to the new American vistas: "Soarin makes me tear up EVERY TIME. Something about the music, smells, sights all together. It’s so lovely."
Related: Disney Drops a Massive 2026 Parks Update—Here's What to Know
Beyond the nostalgia, others pointed out how the ride's unique accessibility makes it a standout compared to Disney's more intense simulators: "It was beautiful and moving. It was thrilling to be high up in the air. And probably best of all, my small daughter could enjoy it with me. I was surprised that I really loved it. I think I liked it more than Flight of Passage even."
Whether you’re rushing to catch one last global tour before May 13 or planning a summer trip to see the new American landmarks, Soarin’ remains the gold standard for how we experience the beauty of the world.

Even better, it’s currently on sale for just $12, down from its usual $18 price right now. It measures 8.1 inches in diameter and 7.3 inches high, with a softly rounded square silhouette that gently tapers at the open top to keep dirt and water from spilling out. The vertical stripe pattern wraps around the exterior, giving it that coastal-influenced look — think airy beach houses, sunlit interiors, and resort cabanas.
The on-sale sage green option leans especially into that breezy palette, adding a soft, natural tone that pairs well with lush greenery. The darker recessed stripes introduce a fluted-like texture, adding depth and dimension.
Designed to hold up to 4.8 quarts of foliage, it's a solid fit for medium-sized plants that need room to grow and settle in. A built-in drainage hole with a removable plug adds flexibility, so you can move your plant between indoor and outdoor settings depending on its needs.
This planter really shines when paired with plants that complement its clean lines and vertical gaze — trailing pothos, full ferns, or a structured snake plant all work beautifully here. Elvis Presley Reached No. 1 for 1st Time 70 Years Ago
The King of Rock and Roll reached a new career milestone 70 years ago today.
On May 5, 1956, Elvis Presley earned No. 1 for a single and an album concurrently for the first time, a feat that had only been achieved by two artists before him.
Presley reached the top of the charts for his single "Heartbreak Hotel" and his self-titled debut album at the same time. While he would go on to repeat this achievement four more times before his 1977 death, only two artists came before him.
"Released as Presley’s first single with label RCA Victor, 'Heartbreak Hotel' was recorded in Nashville with his band The Blue Moon Boys, guitarist Chet Atkins, and pianist Floyd Cramer," This Day in Music reported. "It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks, later becoming the rock’n’roll pioneer’s first million-selling single, and reached the Top 5 of the Country and R&B charts simultaneously. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1995.
As for the previous two artists, Vaughn Monroe's song "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" and album On The Moon-Beam reached No. 1 on January 26, 1946, followed by MarioLanza's song "Be My Love" and album The Toast of New Orleans five years later.
"Heartbreak Hotel" was written by Mae Boren Axton and Tommy Durden and released by Presley in January 1956, becoming his first single with his new record label, RCA Victor. The hit became Presley's first to sell a million copies and landed in the top 5 of Country and Western, Pop, and Rhythm 'n' Blues charts simultaneously.
Nearly 20 years after his death, "Heartbreak Hotel" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1995.
"When I first heard 'Heartbreak Hotel,' I could hardly make out what was being said. It was just the experience of hearing it and having my hair stand on end. We'd never heard American voices singing like that," late Beatles icon John Lennon said, according to the biography Elvis Presley: The Man. The Life. The Legend. "They always sang like Sinatra or enunciate very well. Suddenly, there's this hillbilly hiccuping on tape echo and all this bluesy stuff going on. And we didn't know what Elvis was singing about … It took us a long time to work what was going on. To us, it just sounded as a noise that was great."

Quote of the Day: Psychotherapist Viktor Frankl on Choosing Your ‘Attitude in Any Given Set of Circumstances’
Many of us have often considered the "meaning of life"—and psychotherapist Viktor Frankl was no different. He spent much of his professional career focusing on “meaning” and how having a purpose can benefit people’s mental health, per the Viktor E. Frankl Institute of America.
Frankl was born on March 26, 1905, in Vienna, Austria, to a Jewish family, and became interested in psychology in junior high school, even corresponding with Sigmund Freud—another famous Austrian psychotherapist—as a teen. According to Britannica, he even asked permission to publish one of Frankl’s papers.
Austria became part of Nazi Germany in 1938, antisemitism was increasing, and Frankl and his family were put into concentration camps by 1942. Per The Independent, Frankl spent three years in four camps before being liberated. With those tragic experiences making a mark on his perspective, our quote of the day comes from one of his most famous books, where he speaks to humanity and the freedom we have to choose to do the right thing.
He was 37 when he was sent to the concentration camps, and as the Viktor E. Frankl Institute of America has said, his time in those camps “represented a short period in his long life.” When he was younger, he took an interest in researching depression and suicide, even helping teens in the city by setting up youth counseling centers. He got a doctorate in medicine in 1930 and spent years as the head of the female suicide prevention program of a hospital in Vienna, per Britannica. Right before he was taken in 1942, he had been a practicing neurologist and psychiatrist, and was the chief of neurology at the Rothschild Hospital in Vienna.
In addition to the 39 books he authored, Frankl is known for developing the “third school” of Viennese psychotherapy, known as "logotherapy," per Britannica. This theory proposed that human beings’ “primary motivation” is “the search for meaning in life,” and that the sole purpose of psychotherapy was to help people find that deeper significance.
Again, with his traumatic time in the camps and his studies, today’s quote is a poignant reminder that no matter what, we always have a choice of attitude and action—it’s up to you what you choose to do in the best and the worst of days.

Quote of the Day by Viktor FranklCanvaPro/Parade
"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances."
This quote comes from Frankl’s book Man’s Search for Meaning. As the foreword says, this is “a book about survival”; Frankl was first put into the Theresiendstadt ghetto (a transit camp) in 1942, per Britannica. He arrived there with both of his parents and his wife, whom he’d just married nine months prior.
In this book, Frankl recounts his time in these camps and provides his insight into the human mind and our “will to find meaning in spite of the worst adversity,” the book description reads. It was published in German in 1946 and then in English in 1959. The first chapter is titled “Experience in a Concentration Camp,” which is where he writes this. The full quote is:
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

Deeper Meaning of Viktor Frankl’s Quote—‘To Choose One’s Attitude in Any Given Set of Circumstances’On its own, the quote is meaningful and highlights the potential for good in humankind. But in the context of Frankl writing this when talking about his time in a concentration camp during the Holocaust, it just makes it all the more powerful.
According to the Viktor Frankl Institute, he was brought to the Theresienstadt ghetto with three family members. His father died there, his mother was killed immediately in a gas chamber in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, and his wife died in the Bergen-Belsen camp. Frankl spent most of his time at Kaufering and then Tuerkheim, which are subcamps of the Dachau concentration camp.
In the passages right before this quote, Frankl explains how he worked as a doctor in the typhus block of the camps. He described the conditions and the cruelty of those in charge, and then the apathy of “inmates” who were ill. He notes that his description of it all might insinuate that humans are “completely and unavoidably influenced” by their surroundings. He then presents a lot of questions branching off of that: “But what about human liberty? Is there no spiritual freedom in regard to behavior and reaction to any given surroundings?”
That’s where the above paragraph comes in, where he says that those questions can be answered by looking at the resilience he experienced in the camps. To him, that shows that humans do “have a choice of action.” He believes that the person those imprisoned people became was all based on “the result of an inner decision, and not the result of camp influences alone.” He’s essentially saying that even at your lowest point, you can choose to be kind at the very least, and maybe resilient and even defiant at the most.
Even when “everything” is taken from someone, you’re still left with one thing: your freedom of autonomy. To choose how you act given your situation. No one would fault you for being upset about your circumstances, but you can also choose your “own way.” You can choose not to give in to the despair your situation causes you. It's easier said than done, and you, of course, don’t want to give in to the pitfalls of magical thinking or toxic positivity. However, this quote just reminds us that we can choose to be our best selves in the face of adversity.

More Quotes from Viktor Frankl- “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
- “Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'.”
- “But there was no need to be ashamed of tears, for tears bore witness that a man had the greatest of courage, the courage to suffer.”
- “An abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation is normal behavior.”
- “Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”
- “In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice.”
