Elisha Cuthbert Returns to the Spotlight 25 Years After ‘24’ Debuted, and She’s More Stunning Than Ever

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 6:22pm

Elisha Cuthbert rose to stardom alongside Kiefer Sutherland on 24, but the blonde beauty has barely changed 25 years after the show debuted.

Cuthbert, 43, played Jack Bauer's daughter, Kim, on the hit series, which ran from 2001 to 2014. The star also made it big in The Girl Next Door and received critical acclaim for her comedic skills in the fan favorite comedy series, Happy Endings. While Cuthbert is back in the new Prime Video series Every Year After, she's opening up about why she took a four-year break from the bright lights of Hollywood.

In a new interview on Today, Cuthbert opened up about why she took a break from acting to spend more time with her children and husband, former NHL star Dion Phaneuf.

“I realized I worked all four years through our first child and it was really hard,” Cuthbert shared during an appearance on NBC’s Today on Tuesday. “To separate that mom from the working person I was. So, when we had our second, I just felt like I didn’t want to waste any second of it and I didn’t want to be on set.”

While it's been 25 years since 24 debuted, Cuthbert's youthful appearance revealed that she's barely changed at all in over two decades!

1976 No. 1 Hit, Originally Rejected by Rock Icon, Remains a Classic 50 Years Later

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 6:15pm

Long before “Let Your Love Flow” became a worldwide hit, another music legend had the chance to record it first.

Released by The Bellamy Brothers in 1976, the upbeat anthem became an international smash, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching No. 1 in several countries around the world. Nearly 50 years later, its infectious melody and optimistic message continue to make it a favorite on classic rock and oldies radio.

But before the song found its way to David and Howard Bellamy, it was offered to another music legend.

Written by Larry E. Williams, "Let Your Love Flow" was originally pitched to Neil Diamond, for whom Williams was a roadie at the time. But, Diamond decided not to record it because he felt the song didn't fit the direction of his career at the time. That decision opened the door for the Florida duo, who were still searching for the breakthrough hit that would introduce them to a wider audience.

It proved to be the opportunity of a lifetime.

"We just thought ['Let Your Love Flow'] was the best thing we'd heard at the time," Howard Bellamy later told Classic Bands. "And the rest is history. Still to this day, it's been hard to top that song. It was like a rocket launch. It took off so fast on the charts."

The Bellamy Brothers would eventually become one of country music’s most successful duos, with hits including "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" and "Redneck Girl," but it was "Let Your Love Flow" that put them on the map and turned them into international stars. Blending country, pop and soft rock influences, it showcased a sound that appealed to audiences across multiple genres.

The song's success also helped launch a career that has spanned more than five decades. The Bellamy Brothers have since released dozens of albums, earned multiple country No. 1 hits and continued touring well into the 21st century, building one of the longest-lasting careers in country music.

Looking back, it’s hard to imagine anyone else recording "Let Your Love Flow." What began as a song one superstar chose to pass on became the Bellamy Brothers' signature recording and one of the most recognizable hits of the 1970s.

"I don't think we ever sit down and go, 'Okay, now we've really made it.' It's more like, 'Okay, we've had a No. 1 record, let's try something else now,'" David Bellamy told The Boot. "It's just kind of in our nature, I think."

Nearly 50 years after its release, its message of optimism and freedom continues to resonate with listeners around the world.

We Asked 3 Chefs the Best Thing To Make With Canned Chicken, and They All Said the Same Thing

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 6:08pm

It’s hard to think of a more polarizing pantry staple than canned chicken. For some people, it’s a must-have ingredient that easily finds its way into a variety of dishes, from soups and stews to dips and chicken salad. For others, they wouldn’t dare toss a can into their cart. Much like SPAM, canned chicken is sometimes seen as a lower-quality or unhealthy food, making it one of the last things you may consider stocking your pantry with. However, canned chicken can actually be one of the most versatile ingredients you can keep in your kitchen—and it might not be as bad as you think.

Depending on the brand, canned chicken can actually be an incredible source of protein, packing anywhere between 15 and 22 grams of filling protein per serving. It’s also fully cooked and shelf-stable, making it convenient to have on hand for a quick and easy meal. Sure, ingredients might vary across brands, but if you know what to look out for, you’ll get the most out of this unsung pantry hero.

And, hey, if it’s good enough for Chef Jacques Pépin, then it’s good enough for us. We say it’s time for canned chicken to officially have its moment in the spotlight, so we spoke with three chefs to get their take. Read on to see what they had to say about the best ways to use canned chicken.

Our Panel of Chefs

These are the three chefs we spoke with to get their take on canned chicken.

  • Isaac Bernal Carbajo: Chef Isaac Bernal Carbajo is the executive chef of the Representation of Spain to the United Nations with more than 26 years of culinary experience spanning both military and high-end gastronomy. He has also been recognized through multiple gastronomic competitions, including being named Best Chef of Spain in 2020.

What To Look for When Buying Canned Chicken

Photo by Jeff Greenberg on Getty Images

If you’re ready to take the plunge into the wondrous world of canned poultry, you might want to know what to look for before you head to the grocery store. Luckily, our chefs offered plenty of insight into what makes a canned chicken brand worth the spend—and what things to avoid.

According to Chef Isaac Bernal Carbajo, the most important thing to look out for is a short ingredient list that only consists of minimal ingredients. “The shorter, the better. Ideally, I want to see chicken, water and salt,” he says. He also mentioned paying attention to texture because it can vary from brand to brand. “Some hold their structure much better and have a far more pleasant texture once they're incorporated into a dish,” he says.

Chef Jessica Randhawa prioritizes “simple ingredients and a clean chicken flavor” that she can use in everything from “creamy dips like buffalo chicken dip or shortcut chicken soups.” In terms of which brands to toss into your cart, all three chefs recommended Costco’s Kirkland Signature canned chicken as a favorite go-to, as well as options from Wild Planet and Swanson. In terms of price, Costco’s Kirkland Signature canned chicken offers the best bang for your buck at about $17 for six 12.5-ounce cans.

As for what to avoid, all three chefs agreed that a longer ingredient list often indicates that a brand is compensating for quality, and you should probably avoid it if you can.

But knowing what to look for at the grocery store is only half the battle. Once you’ve selected your protein-packed tin, it’s time to cook, and our chefs agreed that canned chicken works best when used in this particular way.

The Best Thing To Make With Canned Chicken, According to 3 Chefs

Photo by Liudmyla Chuhunova on Getty Images

When it comes to the best way to use your newfound pantry staple, our panel of experts all agreed that canned chicken works best in dishes like chicken salad or creamy dips that play off of the chicken’s poached texture and consistency. Because it’s already fully cooked, it can be easily incorporated into a variety of dishes with minimal additional effort from you.

To get the most out of canned chicken, Chef Carbajo recommends not using the chicken straight out of the tin. “Drain it well and give it a little attention. Good olive oil, fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon, quality mustard or a few spices can completely change the final result,” he says. He also suggests “pairing it with ingredients that add texture, such as celery, red onion or pickles.”

Chef Brown shares that she likes to use canned chicken in her honey mustard chicken salad and zhuzhes it up with “crunchy celery, sweet apple, toasted walnuts, and a dressing of raw honey and apple cider vinegar.”

As for Chef Randhawa, her buffalo chicken dip is her favorite quick and easy crowd-pleaser.

The takeaway here is that when you’re using canned chicken, it’s best to lean on its convenience by using its texture to your advantage. From there, layering in fresh ingredients for texture and acid for zing is all you need to make a show-stopping dish.

5 Other Genius, Chef-Approved Ways To Use Canned Chicken

Of course, canned chicken doesn’t have to stop and end at chicken salad. Here are even more genius ways to use the affordable pantry staple.

1. Make a Larb

When it comes to getting creative with canned chicken, Chef Brown suggests making a speedy weeknight larb by breaking up the chicken and tossing in lime juice, fish sauce, toasted rice powder, and fresh herbs like mint and cilantro. Shallots and a pinch of chili flakes add the final touches, and in just minutes, you’ve got an easy and delicious meal.

2. Speed Up Chili Prep

When time is of the essence and you don't have the minutes to shred a rotisserie chicken or season and cook raw chicken, the canned version can really save you when it comes to meal prep. When you don't have much time, a slow cooker chili made with canned chicken is the easiest, most hands-off way to get dinner on the table on busy weeknights.

3. Stir It Into Soup

Adding canned chicken to soup is a quick way to get some more filling protein into a meal. Try combining beans (another protein-rich powerhouse), melty cheese and chicken into a chicken enchilada soup. You're left with a savory lunch you'll look forward to eating and that'll keep you full until dinnertime.

4. Add It to a Casserole

Move over, tuna casserole; canned chicken can be just as versatile. The possibilities of canned chicken in casseroles shouldn't be underestimated. Pair it with stuffing mix and cream of mushroom soup for a creamy comfort meal; mix roasted red peppers and canned chicken with pasta for the ultimate chicken pasta bake; or pair it with zucchini, squash and a light dressing for a veggie-packed summer casserole.

5. Top Your Potato

There's nothing more fun than a loaded potato bar, and canned chicken makes things even easier to assemble. Whether you want to stuff a sweet potato with chicken and pesto or top a baked potato with chicken, chili beans and cheese, the options are endless. Adding canned chicken to your spud turns a side into a heartier meal.

With these ideas and recipes in mind, you'll never look at a can of chicken the same way again. From chicken salad to casseroles, soups to spuds, canned chicken proves it's a versatile shelf-stable staple you need to have in your kitchen.

Costco

As soon as the weather warms up, people start looking for ways to spend more time outside. Patios, decks and backyards suddenly become the go-to spot for family dinners, cookouts and late-night conversations. The funny thing is, you don't always need a full renovation to make an outdoor space feel inviting. Sometimes the biggest difference comes from one simple addition that completely changes the atmosphere.

I've noticed more homeowners focusing on creating that cozy outdoor living room vibe. The goal isn't just to have a backyard; it's to have a space where people actually want to hang out. Warm lighting has become one of the easiest ways to make that happen, especially for summer gatherings and special occasions.

1986 No. 1 Hit With Iconic Piano Hook Became a Cross-Generational Anthem

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 5:34pm

Some tunes never leave us. They may lie mentally dormant, tucked somewhere between old TV theme songs and forgotten mixtapes, but the moment you hear ‘em, every lyric comes rushing back, as if you’ve just experienced some sort of earworm awakening.

That’s the magic of Bruce Hornsby and The Range’s timeless hit, “The Way It Is.”

@tonosongs6

BRUCE HORNSBY AND THE RANGE - The Way It Is#popmusic#brucehornsbyandtherange#thewayitis #80smusic#fyp

♬ original sound - AuralGlow

Released in April 1986, the piano-driven anthem was the second single off the group’s same-name debut album. It was co-written by Bruce Hornsby and his brother, John Hornsby, and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 86. Following an RCA reissue in December, it finished the year at No. 1.

By no means a typical ’80s chart-topper, “The Way It Is” showcases Bruce’s own rock-slash-ECM jazz style while unapologetically tackling hefty themes like racism, economic disparity, and civil rights in its message. The track also lacks a big chorus, shifts in momentum, and all the other features found in the biggest pop hits at the time.

According to American Songwriter, the fact that a song like this could hit No. 1 “says something about the song’s airtight structure, built around Bruce Hornsby’s piano hooks and exciting soloing. And it also speaks to the fact that audiences are willing to deal with a little medicine if it’s presented with insight and honesty.”

Meanwhile, the track’s parent album, which also featured pop favorites “Mandolin Rain” and “Every Little Kiss,” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and paved the way for Bruce and his rock band to win Best New Artist at the 29th Grammy Awards in February 1987.

Celebrated for its social commentary and iconic jazz-infused piano hooks, “The Way It Is” came from a personal place. In an interview with NME, via Songfacts, Bruce explained how his personal views and Southern upbringing in Virginia helped shape the song.

“My mother came from the New England area, and she was a little more enlightened about racial subjects than a lot of people in the South,” he said. “So I had a different attitude to a lot of my friends whose parents were more conservative. When I was brought up, the vibe I got of Martin Luther King in my town was that he was a real evil man. … Luckily, I came from a family that guarded us against that conservatism.”

“The Way It Is” cemented its cross-generational status when late hip-hop icon 2Pac sampled the song's hook and piano melody for his legendary 1998 track “Changes,” which looks at racism and urban life from a Black perspective. This allowed the song's message to reach an entirely new audience and a younger demographic.

2Pac wasn’t the only public figure to use the song. “The Way It Is” has found its way into every corner of American culture, including as part of the theme song for conservative then-radio host Sean Hannity.

Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2020, Bruce shared his perspective on the song and his surprise at its success, saying, “‘The Way It Is’ was a wonderful accident, a great fluke. A song about racism with two improvised solos is hardly the formula for pop success then or at any time. Everyone thought it should have been a B side, but then BBC Radio 1 played it and, boom, there it went.”

Looking back, it’s wild to call the song a “fluke” when it was embraced by everyone from the hip-hop community to conservative talk radio, and remains a fixture of classic rock radio and Hornsby’s live shows to this day. That’s not a fluke. That’s a cross-generational anthem in the truest sense.

A 139-Year-Old Brand Is Making National Prosecco Week More Inclusive With a Zero-Proof Sparkler

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 5:05pm

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

As someone who likes to unwind with a little glass of something at the end of the day, I find that my wine preferences definitely change with the season. Some might call it winter, spring, summer and fall, but for me it's more like cabernet, rosé, sparkling and sauvignon blanc. Which is why it makes so much sense to me that National Prosecco Week (yes, it gets a full week) falls in June—it's prosecco season. And in 2026, it's happening from June 15–21.

But while you might want to invite your inner circle over for pizza and prosecco (seriously, they go so well together), you want to make sure there's a beverage for everyone, not just the traditional wine drinkers. And there's a really amazing zero-proof prosecco offered by a label you're likely already familiar with.

😋😋SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳🍔

Mionetto Prosecco Brut Sparkling White Wine is quite literally everywhere, from Target to your favorite grocery store. At around $12.99 a bottle, it delivers a crispy, bubbly experience for your palate and is that reliable bottle you know you can bring to a friend's house and enjoy. Plus, you can spot it from a mile away thanks to its orange label.

Target

But here's the thing: Mionetto also sells a Sparkling Non-Alcoholic Wine for the same $12.99 price at Target (it's sold at plenty of other retailers as well). The bottle looks just like the brand's prosecco Brut but touts a small light blue label to let you know that the alcohol has been removed. (It says on the larger orange label, too.)

When I tell you that you can barely taste the difference between the Mionetto Prosecco Brut and the zero-proof version, I mean it. The taste is so impressive, and it's a nice bottle to have on hand to make National Prosecco Week inclusive for everyone.

What People Are Saying

I always like to back up my own opinion with that of other consumers, and if you look at the Target reviews, shoppers love Mionetto's nonalcoholic option.

"This truly is one of the best I've tried," says a customer. "I find it so hard to find as it sells out so fast. I've added orange juice and cranberry to it. Tastes just like a real mimosa minus the alcohol."

There are plenty more accolades where that came from.

"I love how this gives a similar taste and feel as Prosecco but alcohol removed," says another reviewer. "Great way to not feel left out when you're not drinking."

So pick up a bottle or two (maybe even three) when you can find it in the wine aisle. Your crew will thank you.

If you’re a fan of chicken tenders and French fries, you may want to plan your next flight with a layover in Dallas. Fast-growing chain Raising Cane’s, which got its start in Louisiana and has quickly won over consumers across the country, is opening its first-ever restaurant in an airport, with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport getting the honors.

Starting June 19, travelers will be able to get hand-battered and cooked-to-order chicken fingers, buttery Cane’s toast, crispy crinkle-cut fries, creamy coleslaw, and iconic Cane’s sauce at Gate B19 in Terminal B, with 24-hour service coming shortly.

Raising Cane’s choosing Dallas Forth Worth International Airport for its inaugural airport restaurant isn’t surprising, as it’s one of the busiest airports in the country, welcoming over 86 million customers annually. In fact, it’s so busy that Raising Cane’s isn’t the only option for chicken, not just in the airport, but in Terminal B, with a Wingstop just steps away between gates B28 and B29. Want to get your chicken fix but won’t be in Terminal B? No problem, as there’s a Buffalo Wild Wings in Terminal D, three Chick-fil-A locations in terminals C, D, and E, and if you’d like a cheeseburger to go along with some McCrispy Strips, you can stop by McDonald’s in terminals A, C, or D.

This isn’t the only noteworthy opening for Raising Cane’s this month, as the chain took World Cup fever to the next level with the opening of its Inglewood flagship restaurant in California, just minutes from SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome. The restaurant features a multi-level layout, glass exterior, a signature aluminum halo, and LED screens throughout.

“Raising Cane’s continues to grow across the country, and this month we’re excited to bring our craveable chicken finger meals to more customers and communities nationwide,” a Raising Cane’s representative told Parade. “Each opening represents another meaningful milestone in Cane’s continued growth and connection with customers wherever they live, work and travel.”

Fifty-five years ago, the iconic rock group The Who released "Won't Get Fooled Again," a song that spanned nearly nine minutes and became a lasting anthem about anti-revolution.

Released as a single in June 1971 ahead of their landmark fifth studio album, Who's Next, "Won't Get Fooled Again" quickly became an iconic track. Upon its U.S. release, it climbed up the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 15 and spending 11 weeks on the chart. Even though it never quite claimed the top position, it made a massive cultural impact through its powerful themes.

The Making of "Won't Get Fooled Again"

Written by The Who's guitarist and primary songwriter, Pete Townshend, "Won't Get Fooled Again" explores the idea that violent political uprising and regime changes often bring no real progress to civilizations. The staggering eight-minute and 32-second-long track uses lines like "Meet the new boss / Same as the old boss" and "The world looks just the same / And history ain't changed" to remind listeners that corruption isn't simply solved by a leadership change, warning them not to turn a blind eye to the futility of political cycles.

Townshend was inspired to write the track after experiencing a commune while living on Eel Pie Island in London. The guitarist wanted to express his opinions on anti-establishment cynicism, hoping to connect with others through his music.

In an interview withFar Out Magazine, he cited the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival as another source of inspiration. While The Who was performing their set, political activist Abbie Hoffman hijacked the microphone during a break, prompting an angry Townshend to chase him off the stage with his guitar. The interaction made Townshend reevaluate who is considered "good" and "just" in a revolution—coming to the conclusion that over time, those leading the charge could become just as corrupt as the leaders they ousted.

The track's weighty lyricism is complemented by its stunning production. Produced by the band themselves and Glyn Johns through Decca Records, "Won't Get Fooled Again" is notable for its futuristic sound. The song utilizes a pulsing synthesizer intro, intense electric power chords, an explosive rhythm section and Roger Daltrey’s iconic closing scream to create a one-of-a-kind piece of instrumentation that ignites a passion in any listener.

Over five decades after its release, "Won't Get Fooled Again" continues to resonate with new audiences as a true power anthem. The track has reached millions of listeners through streaming platforms in the digital era. On Spotify alone, the song has accumulated over 217 million streams—a feat that proves its status as a timeless rock classic.

1986 Synth-Pop Hit, Written in Under 24 Hours for a Cult-Classic, Became a Defining Track of the Decade

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 4:33pm

In 1986, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), formed in England, scored their biggest success in the U.S., with their pop-synth classic, “If You Leave.”

Written by key members of the influential band — Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, and Martin Cooper — the track was penned in a pinch with the intention of becoming a centerpiece of the cult-classic film Pretty in Pink, starring actors Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer, and Andrew McCarthy

According toAmerican Songwriter, John Hughes, who wrote and directed the film, was a big fan of OMD. He requested the band to submit a song to play during the final scene of the movie.’

Jumping on that request, OMD did just that.

"We went down to Paramount Studios; we saw them shooting; and we met Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer, and John [Hughes]. They gave us a script, and they said, 'We want a song for the big finale in the prom scene.' We said, 'Great,'” McCluskey recalled in an interview with WeloveDC.com. “We went home, and we wrote them a fantastic song. We came back with a 2-inch tape, ready to mix it in L.A. prior to a tour we were going to do.”

That song? “Goddess Of Love,” which unfortunately didn’t make the cut as test audiences weren’t too keen on the film’s ending, prompting Hughes to change the Pretty in Pink’s conclusion. That meant he wanted OMD to come up with an entirely different song, putting the band in a serious time crunch.

“We [had] a single day to write another song. Anyway, that's what we did,” McCluskey said. “We went into a studio in L.A.; we borrowed any equipment we could get our hands on; and we worked until around 4 in the morning.”

The result? “If You Leave.”

“We did a rush demo; we put it on a cassette; and we sent it in to Paramount Pictures. About 9 o'clock in the morning, we were woken up by our manager saying, 'John Hughes loves the song! Go back in the studio and finish it!'"

“If You Leave” went on to make massive waves, becoming the band’s highest-charting U.S. single, reaching No. 4 in May of 1986 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Lululemon Finally Issues Apology for Culturally Insensitive Great Wall Event

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 4:25pm

What was meant to be a momentous milestone in Lululemon's expansion into the Chinese market turned into a PR nightmare when an oversight overshadowed the celebration.

During the popular athleisure brand's Yoga on the Great Wall of China event this past May, Chinese actor Zhu Yilong was accidentally given the wrong instrument when joining the cultural drum circle performance that was meant to be a highlight of the event. In the aftermath, Inside Retail reports that Lululemon has issued an apology for the controversial mistake.

What Happened at Lululemon's Chinese Culture and Yoga Celebration?

On May 30th, Lululemon hosted a yoga event on the Great Wall to highlight the Canadian company's rapid expansion into China. As the brand's popularity grew, the event was meant to be a moment of cultural wellness, with a traditional drum trope led by Zhu Yilong, performing for the 2,000 attendees.

However, audiences watching the globally broadcast event were surprised when Chinese percussionist Xu Yang pointed out that the drum the actor was given was not a traditional Chinese Dagu drum but rather looked more like a Japanese Taiko drum. The Daily Beastreported that Yang asserted that the two "should never be confused,” as overlooking that detail would be seen as very culturally insensitive. And it did, prompting the world stage on social media to quickly turn on Lululemon due to the problematic nature of the controversy in one of its fastest-growing markets

Lululemon Issues Apology

In the wake of the global discourse, Lululemon broke its silence this week to take responsibility for its role in the mistake. The Global Times published the statement, which emphasized that Lululemon has taken this experience as an opportunity to "learn profound lessons" in its apology.

It continued, "We attach great importance to the feedback from society. Due to a lack of professional knowledge, we failed to fully identify potential disputes early and have fully recognized that we ought to have planned and reviewed the percussion performance with more caution and thoroughness," and clarified that they take more of the blame. "We sincerely apologize to the public and Mr. Zhu Yilong, and has removed all related promotional contents."

Additionally, the Global Times shared the apology of the Hiiko Drum Group, which operated as a performance troupe, for having the instrument "occupy public resources," and has since removed the drum from its collection, promising to ensure cultural accuracy and authenticity moving forward. Strategists are lukewarm to Lululemon's apology, according to The New York Times via AOL, Crisis communications expert Amore Philip shared this insight: "The speed was right. The language was wrong," he told The Post, citing that the statement felt "incompetent rather than accountable."

The social media spheres will undoubtedly express how the apology is going to be received— as a good start or like too little for a profoundly problematic cultural snafu.

Jason Momoa Steps Out With His and Lisa Bonet's Teenage Children—and the Photos Are Turning Heads

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 4:18pm

Jason Momoa hit the red carpet with two very special guests: His teenage son and daughter.

The Aquaman legend, 46, was joined by son Nakoa-Wolf, 17, and daughter Lola, 18, whom he shares with his ex-wife, former Cosby Show star Lisa Bonet. The trio hit the Supergirl UK Sneak Peek Event at Cineworld Leicester Square on Thursday in London, England. Sporting a vest and showing off his muscular physique, Nakoa-Wolf looked like he's been hitting the gym with his dad. Lola, meanwhile, looked stunning in a strapless black cocktail gown alongside her dad.

Lola Called Her Dad a "Teddy Bear"

Despite his tough-guy image, Momoa says he’s very comfortable being sensitive.

“I still am very masculine. But I embrace the feminine side and also feel like I am OK to be vulnerable, that it’s not a weakness,” Momoa told the New York Times in July.

Lola echoed the sentiment.

 “He’s a teddy bear,” she explained. “He’s just a cave-looking teddy bear.”

Momoa Loves to Make a Statement on the Red Carpet

Back in September, Momoa hit the red carpet at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in a bit of an untraditional outfit. While attending the red carpet for his new film In the Hand of Dante, Momoa wore a chic pale pink suit. But it was what was happening below the ankle that truly caught the attention of the camera. Momoa wore fuzzy pink Birkenstock sandals and sported a pink pedicure on his toes.

In his Instagram Stories, Momoa gave a bit of a hint as to why he decided to go for a pedicure for the evening.

“I got my Birkenstocks and my ugly a– feet, but they’re painted!” Momoa shared, noting that he also had his son alongside him on the red carpet.

The film’s premiere sounded like a big success in Venice, considering it received a nine-and-a-half-minute standing ovation, according to Deadline.

In the Hand of Dante, which was directed by legendary artist and director Julian Schnabel, is based on the 2002 novel by Nick Tosches. Starring Momoa, who rose to superstardom thanks to his role in Aquaman, alongside Oscar IsaacGal Gadot, and Gerard Butler, the drama follows a handwritten manuscript of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy after it’s found in the Vatican library and makes its way to a New York City mob boss.

Billy Bush Claims Two ‘Today’ Veterans Didn’t Want Him on the Show

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 4:11pm

Billy Bush is looking back on his short time at Today, and he is not holding back.

During an appearance on The Nerve With Maureen Callahan, Bush claimed that two major NBC names did not want him on the show when he joined the morning program in 2016.

Bush specifically named Al Roker and Matt Lauer while describing what he said was an unwelcoming environment.

Bush said he could feel tension after landing the Today job.

"There was this general feeling they don't want you there," Bush said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

He then claimed that "Matt Lauer, Al Roker" did not want him on the third hour.

Bush said he believed NBC executives thought he would be a strong fit for the hour, but that some of the established male talent were not happy about it.

Bush Had Sharp Words for Al Roker

Bush's strongest comments were directed at Roker.

He described Roker as "territorial, vindictive, and chronically unprepared."

Bush also claimed Roker was difficult to work with and accused him of not wanting to share the spotlight on the show.

According to Page Six, Bush said the third hour of Today would "never be a successful hour" with Roker because he considered him a poor interviewer.

Bush also claimed Roker had liked a tweet that called him a "white-splaining racist" while they were working together.

Roker Has Not Publicly Responded

Roker has not publicly responded to Bush's comments. Entertainment Weekly reported that it reached out to Roker's representative for comment.

Bush's comments come nearly 10 years after his short run on Today. He joined the NBC morning show in 2016 after years at Access Hollywood.

His time at Today ended after the release of the 2005 Access Hollywood tape involving Donald Trump. Bush was heard laughing during the lewd conversation, and he later lost his NBC job.

Bush Has Spoken About the Fallout Before

Bush has talked before about the fallout from the tape and how it affected his career.

In this new interview, though, he focused heavily on what he says was happening before the tape was released.

He claimed he was supposed to have a bigger role on Today's third hour, but said the environment already felt tense before everything changed.

The Festival That Invented Woodstock Happened 59 Years Ago Today

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 4:07pm

Before Woodstock became the defining music festival of a generation, there was Monterey Pop.

On June 18, 1967, the Monterey International Pop Festival came to a close after three days that helped change rock music forever. Held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in California, the event brought together an extraordinary mix of established stars and emerging artists, many of whom would soon become some of the biggest names in music history.

Today, Monterey Pop is often remembered as the festival that created the blueprint for Woodstock and virtually every major rock festival that followed. It was widely promoted, heavily attended and documented in filmmaker D.A. Pennebaker's acclaimed concert film Monterey Pop, helping transform the event into a cultural touchstone.

What makes the lineup remarkable in hindsight is how many future legends were still on the verge of superstardom. The festival featured early career-defining performances byJimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas and the PapasandThe Grateful Dead, while also introducing artists such as Otis Reddingand Ravi Shankar to new audiences.

Joplin's electrifying performance of "Ball and Chain" is widely considered her breakout moment. Columbia Records reportedly signed Big Brother and the Holding Company after seeing the response she generated at Monterey. Otis Redding delivered a show-stopping set that included "Respect" and "Try a Little Tenderness," helping expand his audience beyond the R&B world.

The festival's final night became the stuff of rock legend. The Who stunned the crowd when Pete Townshend smashed his guitar and drummer Keith Moon destroyed his drum kit at the end of their set. Not long afterward, Hendrix took the stage and responded with one of the most famous moments in rock history, setting his guitar on fire during a performance of "Wild Thing" before smashing it to pieces.

Monterey Pop was more than a showcase for future stars. It also brought together artists from different musical worlds, including rock, folk, soul, blues and Indian classical music, creating a model that festivals still follow today. Organizers even pioneered many of the logistical practices later adopted by other large-scale music events.

Two years later, Woodstock would become a global phenomenon. But many of the artists who defined Woodstock, including Hendrix, Joplin, the Who and the Grateful Dead, had already made history on a California stage during the Summer of Love.

Fifty-nine years after its final day, Monterey Pop remains one of the most influential weekends in rock history.

Why 'Outlast: The Jungle' Winners Haven't Spoken to Their Voted-Out Team Member

Thu, 06/18/2026 - 3:48pm

Multiple teams made the hard decision to vote out someone on their team on Outlast: The Jungle. It's tough to watch, but even tougher when it happens closer to the finish line and the $1 million prize.

The winners were thrilled to earn that prize. But they revealed that they haven't smoothed things over with the last team member they pushed out.

Spoiler alert for the finale of Outlast: The Jungle!

Who Was Voted Out in the 'Outlast: The Jungle' Finale?

Jose Mandojana/Netflix

Teams voted out a member in exchange for supplies throughout the Netflix show. However, the finale had a heartbreaking vote that didn't gain a resource for the team.

Episode 8 showed Team Alpha and Team Bravo racing through the Amazon jungle to the finish line for the $1 million. Leiya Pillitteri left Team Charlie and joined Team Alpha which had Nikki Hru and Maddy Jones as the remaining members.

Nikki and Maddy started having doubts about the makeup artist. She struggled to make a fire, which was the first step of the semifinal contest. Leiya panicked, and Nikki worked hard to get her to focus. They knocked Team Charlie out of the finals.

Team Bravo sabotaged Leiya beforehand by taking her boots. So she was slower during the jungle race. Nikki repeatedly yelled at her to keep up since Team Bravo was on their tail. Nikki decided that night to cut Leiya loose, so it wouldn't cost them the $1 million.

They were emotional, but their decisions paid off. Nikki and Maddy won the race against Abby Chu and Pharaoh Gayles of Bravo.

Nikki and Maddy Haven't Spoken to Leiya After Winning Nikki, 29, Los Angeles, CA, Boxer & Actress

Netflix

Nikki and Maddy spoke to Entertainment Weekly about life after the Netflix show. They revealed if they spoke to Leiya after the emotional decision. "I have not," Nikki said. "I would love to."

Maddy gave her reason for not reaching out. "I would love to, because there's no hard feelings, but I truly feel like if the roles had been reversed, I probably would feel slighted by us, I'm just trying to give her space," the photographer said.

"If she wants to reach out, I hope she knows there's no hard feelings, and I wish her the best, and I have the utmost respect for her and the game, because she did make it that far and to make it that far without giving up says a lot," she continued.

Nikki claimed cutting Leiya was less about the prize money and more about her loyalty to Maddy. "It was a question of whether or not I was willing to lose it for Maddy," the actress explained. "I didn't feel like Leiya could keep up, and I wasn't willing to make that sacrifice for myself or for Maddy after everything we'd gone through."
