Beloved Radiohead Track Gets New Life Nearly 30 Years After Its Release

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:44am

Nothing ever goes out of fashion, especially when it comes to a Radiohead song. The '90s English rock band has proven they are still worthy of the charts, as their song "Let Down" has gained resurgence since its initial 1997 release.

According to Billboard Hot 100, Radiohead has re-entered the charts at No. 95, beating out Doechii and SZA's "Girl, Get Up." Emmanuel Cortes's "Amor" stands at No. 94 ahead of the rock song.

The song regained popularity last year thanks to a TikTok trend, leading "Let Down" to enter the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 91. It was a milestone for the band, seeing as their last Billboard entry was in 2008 with their single "Nude."

It's been almost 30 years since Radiohead's "Let Down" was released as part of their third studio album, OK Computer. Released as a promotional single, it reached number 29 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart.

Main vocalist Thom Yorke once revealed the song was recorded at 3 a.m. in Bath, Somerset. Its sound was inspired by producer and songwriter Phil Spector, with its lyrics about a fear of being trapped.

Despite the song's popularity, Radiohead has rarely performed the song live. It's largely due to the multi-track recording used during the studio recording, making it difficult to recreate in a live setting. The band performed the song in 2006 and later in 2016 during their A Moon Shaped Pool tour. They recently performed "Let Down" during their 2025 tour, their first tour after seven years.

Radiohead originally formed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1985, with Yorke on vocals, guitar, and keyboard. He created the band alongside brothers Jonny Greenwood and Colin Greenwood on guitar, keyboard, and bass, with Ed O'Brien on guitar and backup vocals. Philip Selway is also a founding member on drums. After nine studio albums, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.

'Today's Sheinelle Jones Marks Her Own Difficult Milestone Amid Search for Savannah Guthrie's Mom

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:42am

As the hosts of the Today show continue to offer thoughts and prayers to their colleague Savannah Guthrie amid the continued search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, another member of the NBC family is also dealing with a difficult personal milestone.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Sheinelle Jones revealed onJenna & Sheinelle that it would have been her late husband, UcheOjeh's 46th birthday.

Her co-host Jenna Bush Hager said she not only woke up thinking about the Guthrie family, but she also had Jones and her family at the front of her mind as they mark Ojeh's first birthday since his death in May 2025.

"I woke up thinking about you, too," Bush Hager, 44, said during Wednesday's broadcast, as Jones confirmed, "It would've been Uche's birthday."

Jones, who was married to Ojeh for nearly 18 years, went on to talk about her "year of firsts" following his death, opening up about how she has been navigating all the major "milestones" without her husband, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

"I've just been so busy that I think I underestimated how tough this one would be," she said on Wednesday.

Ojeh, the father of Jones' three children, died at age 45 in May 2025 following a battle with brain cancer, specifically a glioblastoma.

Jones, 47, stepped away from Today for several months to be with her family during the difficult time, before returning in September 2025 and making her debut last month as the permanent host of Today's fourth hour, Jenna & Sheinelle.

But Jones is certainly not the only member of the talk show's staff to be dealing with a serious personal situation, as Savannah's 84-year-old mother Nancy is still missing as the result of what authorities believe to be a possible abduction.

Nancy is said to have been taken "against her will" from her home outside of Tucson, Ariz., after she was last seen on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31.

Savannah, 54, has been absent from the Today show since last week, while she and several of her colleagues continue to ask the public to pray for her mother's safe return.

Bogg's New Bag Insert Just Made Summer Even Better

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:38am

Bogg fans, meet your new summer must-have.

The cult-favorite brand known for its durable, washable, and endlessly versatile bags is expanding its lineup with the launch of the Brrr and a Half Cooler 2.0. It’s designed to fit seamlessly into the Bogg lifestyle fans already love.

Priced between $60 and $65, the newly redesigned cooler has been upgraded with a tip-proof base and leakproof construction, making it sturdier and more reliable than ever. Whether you’re heading to the beach, a camping trip, a kids’ sports game, or a long day outdoors, this cooler is built to keep up.

What makes it especially appealing to Bogg devotees is how well it integrates with the brand’s signature bags. The Brrr and a Half Cooler 2.0 fits neatly inside the Original Bogg Bag, leaving room for towels, sunscreen, and all your other essentials.

Prefer to travel lighter? I certainly do!

It works just as well on its own, thanks to a top handle and removable strap that make carrying easy and hands-free.

Despite its compact size, the cooler packs a serious punch and can hold up to 12 cans with ice and snacks, keeping everything cold even in the heat. Just like the interior of my Bogg bag, the surface is totally wipeable, which makes cleanup quick and painless (an especially welcome feature after sandy beach days).

Like everything Bogg does, the cooler is all about practicality without sacrificing style. It’s durable, thoughtfully designed, and versatile enough to move from summer adventures to everyday errands without missing a beat.

For fans who already swear by their Bogg Bag—or anyone looking to upgrade their warm-weather gear—the Brrr and a Half Cooler 2.0 feels like a natural (and very cool) addition. Grab yours to get ahead of the trend this summer!

Radiohead's 'Creep' Lyrics Are Viewed Globally Thom Yorke of Radiohead onstage at the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards held at the Staples Center on February 8, 2009 in Los Angeles

Photo by John Shearer on Getty Images

Radiohead's 1992 song, "Creep," is among current artists like KATSEYE, Olivia Dean, Raye, and KPop Demon Hunters, according to Billboard. The band's debut song tells the story of a drunk, insecure man following an attractive woman around. He fails to talk to her. The song has been kept alive with numerous covers, and the original has been used in pop culture.

Lead singer Thom Yorke was asked if the woman in the song was real. "Hmm… I’ll now just say yes to that, because I’ll get into trouble," Yorke told Ian Fortnam. "Yeah. It was a pretty strange period in my life. When I was at college and stuff and I was really f---ed up and wanted to leave and do proper things with my life like be in a rock band."

The songwriter knew the hit was special and unique. "I mean, we can’t write another 'Creep' even if we wanted to, so there’s no point in even trying," he said in the interview. "And that was like one song of many…I mean, I write songs all the time, and it just happens that that one’s been isolated."

The songwriter is 57 years old and continues to share his music with the world. In 2024, Yorke, was the center of a movie called Thom Yorke Live at Sydney Opera House. Radiohead toured in 2025 after a break. The singer has grown from that moment that lauched his career. He also found love and got married to Italian actress Dajana Roncione in 2020.

The Four-Letter Word That Got 'The Monkees' Censored

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:25am

The Monkees was considered a family-friendly show, which made fans all the more surprised when one episode featured a bleeped-out four-letter word.

The series took on NBC's censors in 1967 during a Season 2 episode titled "The Devil and Peter Tork.” It was a rare example of a lighthearted sitcom openly testing broadcast standards in the late 1960s.

In the episode, Peter Tork encounters the Devil, known as Zero (Monte Landis). He offers the musician the ability to play the harp in exchange for his soul.

After accepting the deal, Tork realized that his soul wasn't worth having his wish granted. Therefore, he and Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, and Mike Nesmith outwitted the character to get Tork's soul back.

However, the morality of the episode was upstaged by the use of the four-letter word Hell. The word wasn't used as a slur; it was a way for Dolenz, Jones, and Nesmith to explain to Tork the severity of the situation and where Zero hailed from.

In 1967, the use of the word Hell on camera was not allowed by network censors. However, the script purposely used the word, and each time it was said, a noise played to censor it from viewers.

In a clip, Nesmith revealed to Tork where his new skills originated from and who Zero was. He concluded his statement with, “That’s what Hell is all about.”

Jones responded, “Yeah, Hell is pretty scary." Dolenz bookended his comments, revealing, “You know what’s even more scary? You can’t say Hell on television."

Using the word Hell on network television wasn’t the first time The Monkees tested the limits of broadcast standards. The series also introduced viewers to the Frodis plant, a playful nod to 1960s counterculture that many viewers correctly interpreted as a subtle reference to marijuana.

The final episode of the series, "The Frodis Caper" aired on March 25, 1968, and was directed by Dolenz. The word "Frodis" was reportedly the cast's code word for the plant, taken straight from the set, according to IMDb.

The Monkees aired for 58 episodes over two seasons, from 1966 through 1968. For years after, the comedy series aired on Saturday mornings on CBS from 1969 through 1972 and on ABC for one year, 1972 through 1973. The series was picked up by MTV in the late 1980s, where it saw a revival in popularity and currently airs on MeTV.

Chris Harrison to Host New Dating Series 5 Years After ‘Bachelor’ Exit

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:14am

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is set to host another dating series!

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Emmy-nominated casting director Lindsay Liles shared a casting call for a new show hosted by Harrison via Instagram. According to a description, the new series is looking for contestants "dating for a traditional marriage."

"A prominent streaming service is casting single men and women (21+) who want a traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values," the post read. "We're looking for singles who believe in clear roles, long-term commitment, and building a life together — and who are dating with real intention."

The new show marks Harrison's first return to reality TV since being ousted from The Bachelor in 2021. However, in the post's comment section, fans were not thrilled with the premise of the series.

"What is a 'traditional marriage?' And what exactly are 'clear roles?' And what specific shared values? We need you to say the quiet part out loud," wrote one commenter.

"I would love for the show to define what a 'traditional marriage' is to them," wrote another. "Oh no. Tradwife TV. @chrisbharrison WTAF What happened to you when you moved to Texas?" added a third.

"I am saying this as a long time Bachelor fan, is this a joke? What does that even mean, a traditional marriage?" said a fourth. "Feels extremely tone deaf given the pressure/focus on 'traditional' values from our government/country. Interesting."

Despite the show's controversial premise, several members of Bachelor Nation — including Ashley Iaconetti Haibon, Jared Haibon, Lauren Luyendyk, and Hannah Ann Sluss — left words of support for Harrison in the comments.

Harrison hosted all Bachelor franchise shows from The Bachelor‘s premiere in 2002 until 2021. Harrison left the show following a controversy where he defended season 25 contestant Rachael Kirkconnell when photos surfaced of her attending a racist antebellum themed party.

Since leaving The Bachelor franchise, Harrison has worked with Dr. Phil's production company Merit Street Media, launched a podcast titled The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever, and married Entertainment Tonight reporter Lauren Zima in 2023.

‘80s Horror Icon Elvira, 74, Is Bare-Faced and Gorgeous Without Her Trademark Makeup and Wig

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:08am

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, isn't often referred to by her real name, Cassandra Gay Peterson. But when the beloved horror hostess, 74, takes off her gigantic black wig and pounds of makeup, she looks absolutely stunning.

The queen of Halloween, who reigned supreme in the '80s while hosting horror flicks and dominating the radio airwaves, is aging like a fine wine these days. But it's not every day we see her without her trademark horror look that includes a white face, red lips, and heavy eyeliner.

In a new Instagram video, the bare-faced beauty, who has strawberry blonde hair in real life, showed off her natural good looks while visiting a restaurant that bears her name. With her natural skin tone and radiant good looks, it's safe to say this beauty is aging incredibly well, without all the bells and whistles of her legendary character.

"When Elvira dines at @elvirasgrillupland Great food! 😋," she captioned the video, which showed her looking happy and healthy as she spun around in front of the restaurant. We're curious what this savvy septuagenarian does to stay in such good shape!

Elvira Recently Celebrated Her 74th Birthday

Peterson is 74 and still going strong. Back in September, she celebrated her 74th with a stunning photo of herself in full costume, blowing a birthday kazoo.

“THANK YOU for all of the birthday witches! XX,” she captioned the photo, which received a flurry of responses from her 1.6 million followers.

Last year, Elvira directly addressed the Duchess of Sussex after Markle joked about looking like Elvira after using box hair dye during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

In a Us Weekly article, Markle described her attempt to dye her own hair from a box as “this very inky, almost Elvira-esque black hair.” However, Elvira knew the perfect response to that dig.

“Hey princess, if you ever need beauty advice from a queen, just let me know 😏,” she responded in an Instagram caption, along with a photo of the article featuring Markle.

‘70s Funk Pioneers’ Musical Triumph 51 Years Ago Was Like ‘Winning the Super Bowl’

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:03am

The Super Bowl isn’t just one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. Winning the big game has become synonymous with the ultimate success—even outside of the sports world.

At least that’s the way the late Marshall Jones, bassist for 1970s funk superstars the Ohio Players saw it.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Before the band’s ultimate triumph in 1975, the group had a rich and storied history that dates to 1959, when they were known as the Ohio Untouchables and served as a backing band for the Falcons, a vocal group led by Wilson Pickett. Back then, the group included guitarist Robert Ward, who would later be “rediscovered” as a notable blues artist in the early 1990s.

The Ohio Players, led by singer/guitarist Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner, had gone through numerous lineup changes by 1974, but was primed for success. Skin Tight, their album released that year, was recorded in a mere nine days and had to be sandwiched into the band’s touring schedule, Jones said in an interview for The Billboard Book of Number One Albums: “We would be playing nights in Buffalo and then we would get up in the morning and fly to Chicago to record.”

For Fire, the band’s next effort, the group opted to spend an entire month recording. “We wanted to do Fire right, so we took off from the road,” he says. The seven-member band recorded the album at Paragon Studios in Chicago. “It kind of reminded us of the basement we used to practice in,” said Jones, “and it had a real good sound. We recorded at several studios, but for some reason Paragon was the most comfortable.”

Fire, like most of the group’s previous albums, featured a racy album cover — something of an Ohio Players trademark by this time. The woman featured on the album cover was photographed naked, save for a fire helmet and a clear fire hose, which was strategically wound around her body. “It’s like the media says, ‘Sex sells,’” Jones said.

Musically, the funky title track incorporated fire engine sirens and other sound effects. On Jan. 25, 1975, the song became the Players’ second Number One R&B single and was racing up the pop charts as well.

By Feb. 8, 1975, both the album and the single had reached the summit. The “No. 1” featured on the cover model’s fire helmet had turned out to be prophetic.

Yet Fire wasn’t just about fun and games. On “I Want to Be Free,” the Players offered some social commentary. “There was a lot of racial oppression at the time,” said Jones. That track made No. 6 on the Hot R&B Singles chart, amplifying the triumph the Players had scored with Fire. Said Jones, “We were pumped up. Having a No. 1 album and single was like getting a Super Bowl ring to us.”

This Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade Mocktail Uses 5-hour ENERGY—Here’s the Recipe

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:03am

While many parts of the country are experiencing freezing low temperatures right now, 5-hour ENERGY® is bringing the heat with three sweet new flavors: Fruity Rainbow, Confetti Craze and Cotton Candy.

In January, master mixologist Tim Sweeney from New York City’s iconic Pebble Bar created a mocktail using 5-hour ENERGY's Confetti Craze flavor. And this week, he's back with another out-of-this-world beverage that’ll give you the boost you need ... without the calories or crash. This week's mocktail—Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade—is made with 5-hour ENERGY Fruity Rainbow.

Read on to get the Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade mocktail recipe and learn all about the new flavors 5-hour ENERGY just added to their lineup.

What are the 3 new 5-hour ENERGY flavors? 5-hour ENERGY has three sweet new flavors! From left to right: Cotton Candy, Confetti Craze and Fruity Rainbow 1. Fruity Rainbow

This flavor packs a dose of nostalgia and brings us back to our favorite childhood candies! 5-hour ENERGY knocks it out of the park with Fruity Rainbow. It's the perfect blend of tangy and sweet.

2. Confetti Craze

You'll still get the flavors you love, but you'll skip the sugar when you treat yourself to this delicious blend of rich and buttery freshly baked confetti cake, smooth vanilla frosting and a sprinkle of sweetness in every sip.

3. Cotton Candy

This 5-hour ENERGY flavor tastes like the carnival treat in liquid form—but miraculously, with zero sugar! Cotton Candy combines sugary sweet softness with a twist of fruit and a dash of vanilla.

Make the 'Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade' mocktail with 5-hour ENERGY Fruity RainbowIngredients

  • Strawberry Puree — 0.5 oz
  • Lemon Juice — 1 oz
  • Seedlip Grove — 1 oz
  • Club Soda — 2 oz
  • Ice
  • Optional: Lemon wheel for garnish
Directions
  • Step 1: Add the portioned ingredients to a shaker: ginger syrup, strawberry puree, Fruity Rainbow 5-hour ENERGY, lemon juice, and Seedlip Garden. Please note the amounts listed above.
  • Step 2: Prepare a rocks glass by adding ice to it.
  • Step 3: Shake well and pour the mocktail into your glass.
  • Step 4: Garnish with a lemon wheel and enjoy!
The Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade mocktail is made with 5-hour ENERGY Fruity Rainbow. The 5-hour ENERGY Difference

I transitioned from clunky cans and pricey chain coffees to 5-hour ENERGY and it's been a game changer. Here's why:

  • It's more cost-effective: Since I love the Fruity Rainbow flavor so much, I bought a case on the official 5HE website. I paid $58.96 for 24 bottles, which breaks down to about $2.45 per bottle. Compare that to what you'll spend on one beverage at a coffee shop, or even a 20 oz. canned energy drink at the gas station.
  • I can bring them on-the-go: The bottles are small, so I can bring them anywhere. But just because they’re smaller doesn’t mean they have less caffeine: Each 2 oz. bottle has 230 mg of caffeine, about the same as a 12 oz cup of premium coffee. Plus, they're resealable, so I don't have to drink it all at once.
  • It's more than just caffeine: 5-hour ENERGY contains a special blend of essential B vitamins, amino acids and nutrients—all with zero sugar and zero calories.
Where can I buy the 3 new 5-hour ENERGY Flavors?

The good news is, you can experience all of these flavors without going to a birthday party or visiting a carnival. The new 5-hour ENERGY flavors are available to buy at retail stores nationwide. You can also purchase them on Amazon or via 5-hour ENERGY’s official website.

Note that if you order on the brand's official website and spend $50 or more on 5-hour ENERGY shots or drinks, you'll get free shipping

'Dexter' Star Replaces Timothy Busfield on 'Law & Order: SVU' Following Abuse Case

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:01am

Timothy Busfield was scheduled to appear as a guest in an episode of Law & Order: SVU that has been pulled due to his ongoing sexual abuse case. Dexter star David Zayas has been confirmed to replace Busfield in the Law & Order: SVU guest role.

According to Entertainment Weekly, an NBC rep confirmed Zayas has been recast in the unknown character role for the police procedural. The episode "Corrosive" was scheduled to premiere on Jan. 15, but was pulled following news of Busfield's arrest warrant.

Instead, the episode "Fidelis ad mortem" was aired in its place, with Zayas having shot his parts for the new episode slated to air on Feb.6.

The decision to pull the episode and Busfield's role came after news of a warrant out for his arrest was issued on Jan. 10. The warrant claimed Busfield had sexually abused a pair of twin actors while working on the set of the Fox crime drama, The Cleaning Lady. Details reveal the alleged misconduct occurred as early as November 2024.

A doctor at the University of New Mexico filed a report after the actor's mother claimed Busfield had groomed her sons between 2022 and 2024. Busfield surrendered himself to police days after the warrant was issued and claims his innocence. He was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse.

Besides SVU, Busfield was also removed from the romantic comedyYou Deserve Each Other. He played the role of Bernie, the father of star Meghann Fahy's Naomi. Seeing as his scenes were already filmed, he was digitally removed from the series.

Zayas's new SVU episode marks his return to the Law & Order franchise, having started on the small screen in a guest role in 1995. He went on to appear in another role a year later, and has since appeared as guest characters throughout his career in the original series, SVU, and Criminal Intent until 2010.

Simu Liu's Emotional Cover of 'In The Stars' By Benson Boone on Cameo-oke Has Fans Comparing His Voice to John Legend and Phil Collins

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 10:55am

Simu Liu is proving that his skills extend beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the February 3 edition of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Shang-Chi star took to the stage for a "Cameo-oke" segment that left the audience and internet in awe. Performing a stripped-back, soulful rendition of Benson Boone’s "In The Stars," Liu showcased a vocal range that many fans didn't realize he possessed.

The performance was a display of technical vocal ability that immediately began circulating on social media. Clad in a relaxed ensemble, Liu delivered the lyrics with a vulnerability that struck a chord with viewers. Fans ran to the comment section on YouTube to share their reactions, with many simply saying, “I didn’t know he sang. Slay.”

Viewers were enthusiastic, with one fan writing, “Simu is awesome and from the moment I learned he could sing I just love him even more. A great job at covering this song.” Another fan declared it the “Best cameo-ke ever,” while others described the performance as “Raw and beautiful. Perfect rendition.”

The choice of Benson Boone’s "In The Stars" — a song that deals heavily with the weight of loss and keeping someone’s memory alive — felt especially poignant given the recent tragedy in the Clarkson household. In August 2025, Kelly’s ex-husband and the father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock, died at the age of 48 after a private three-year battle with cancer.

As Liu sang about the grief of missing someone who is no longer there, the emotional gravity was palpable in the studio. Clarkson, who recently announced she is ending her talk show in Fall 2026 to prioritize her children, River Rose and Remington, in the wake of their father's death, watched on as Liu tackled the heavy lyrics. The performance served as a quiet acknowledgement of the difficult chapter the family has faced, coming just days after Reba McEntire honored Blackstock during the In Memoriam segment at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

As the clip gained traction, listeners began drawing comparisons between Liu’s baritone tone and several music industry icons. Some noted a specific quality in his voice that reminded them of a mix of genres and eras. One commenter observed, “Simu our Canadian-Asian extraordinaire. So proud of you. A true artist and talent. He has a great voice. Kinda giving Bryan Adams meets Phil Collins meets Brett Kissel.” Another added, “kind of giving me John legend vibes.”

Professional respect also came from fellow musicians in the comments. “He has a great voice. As a fellow baritone I truly hope he finds/writes that one song that sets his voice apart from the rest and launches the recognition he deserves,” one fan noted. “But hey, Hollywood Actor's not a bad day job…”

While the cover may have come as a surprise to casual viewers, Liu has been quietly building a musical foundation for years. He previously released an EP titled Anxious-Avoidant and has often shared how he taught himself to sing in the shower by mimicking *NSYNC's JC Chasez. The appearance on Clarkson's show comes as Liu prepares for his Broadway debut in the hit play Oh, Mary!, where he joins the cast in the role of Mary's Teacher.
