Celine Dion Arrives in Paris Ahead of First Concerts Since Neurological Disorder Diagnosis
Celine Dion is back on stage!
The 58-year-old singer arrived in Paris on Friday wearing a beige trench coat and high heels. She blew kisses to her loving fans ahead of her first series of concerts since revealing she’d been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.
Crowds surrounded Dion, yelling “We’re so happy to see you” and “We love you” outside of her Paris hotel, according to the AP.
The Quebec-born singer is set to hold a 16-show residency in September and October at the Plénitude Arena in a Paris suburb. Her first show will be Sept. 12.
“I am ready and I’m a bit uptight of course because it’s been a long time,” she told French broadcaster BFMTV. “I have always felt supported from the first day and because it’s a story that continues. It’s true that this is my second home.”
When asked what she’d open her concert with, she responded, “I can’t say, it’s a big secret!”
Her upcoming performances mark a milestone for Dion after struggling with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause severe muscle stiffness and spasms. She opened up about struggling with the condition in 2022.
In March, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer posted a video on Instagram sharing an update on her health and announced her French tour.
“But I want to let you know that I’m doing great. I’m managing my health, I’m feeling good, I’m singing again. I’ve been doing a little bit of dancing, obviously,” she said.
“This year, I’m getting the best gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you, once again in Paris, beginning in September this year,” she continued. “I’m so happy. I’m so ready to do this. I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously. Of course a little nervous, but most of all I am grateful to all of you.”
Her first show at the Plenitude Arena will be Sept. 12.
Chris Hansen Considering Legal Action Over Robert Pattinson's 'Primetime': 'Feels Sneaky and Disingenuous’
As the Robert Pattinson-led biopic Primetime nears its release, Chris Hansen has recently shared that he’s considering taking legal action against the upcoming film.
During a recent appearance on Dan Abrams’ SiriusXM podcast, the 66-year-old host of To Catch a Predator went into further detail about his views on the new film, stating that several lawyers in the entertainment industry said that he has a “decent case” that could hold up in court.
“People are looking at it, Dan,” Hansen said on the podcast. “I don’t know. One guy told me, somebody who’s very, very good at all this and very entrenched in entertainment law, he said, ‘You know, you can do that, and you probably have a decent case. How much time do you want to spend doing it?’”
Hansen’s issues with the film have long been documented, with the former Dateline NBC host stating that he was not consulted about the making of the film whatsoever.
Hansen also said that he took issue with the fact that the movie’s distributor, A24, asked him to “sign away my rights to my name, imagine and brand, essentially,as well as any potential legal rights that would come out of the movie” in an interview on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime.
In his conversation on the podcast, Hansen also said that he has yet to see an early cut of the film.
“In reality, it’s the movie Chris Hansen hasn’t even seen yet,” he said. “If it’s that objectionable — I just think that there are a number of issues here. One is ethical. If you’re going to use somebody’s name and the name of their colleagues and the name, potentially, of family members who have nothing to do with this and you’re doing it because you have this dark Hollywood vision of your creativity and you’re going to take a real story and flesh it out and make it fiction — why, then, do you have to use my real name?”
“You could have done the same movie without it, and the reason why they used it is because it has commercial value. So it feels very exploitative to me,” Hansen continued. “It feels sneaky and disingenuous to me that they would do this and not even say ‘This is what we’re doing.’”
Frank Sinatra Is Back at No. 1 on a Billboard Chart, 28 Years After His Death
Frank Sinatra died in May 1998. This week he took the No. 1 spot on a Billboard chart away from himself.
Two Versions of the Same RecordThe chart is Traditional Jazz Albums, and the album is Ultimate Sinatra, a compilation first released in 2015. Last week the top spot belonged to Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection, a slightly expanded edition of the same set. This week, the expanded version has vanished from the chart entirely and the standard one is back on top.
It happens when one edition of a release starts outperforming another. That is familiar territory with remixes. It is stranger with a greatest-hits set from 2015.
Sinatra was understood as a pop singer in his lifetime. Billboard now files most of his catalog under jazz, which is why he turns up on these genre rankings every single week and almost never on the Billboard 200.
Ultimate Sinatra has now led the chart for 183 weeks. It first hit No. 1 in May 2015 and has kept returning ever since, and it is closing in on 400 total weeks on the ranking. Triple digits at the top of any chart is rare. Sinatra is approaching 200.
Eight No. 1s, One ChartUltimate Sinatra is one of eight Sinatra albums to reach No. 1 on Traditional Jazz Albums, alongside Ultimate Christmas, Nothing But the Best, Live at the Meadowlands, Seduction: Sinatra Sings of Love, Sinatra: Best of the Best and his Count Basie box set. Nothing But the Best has 34 weeks at the top on its own. The Centennial edition only got there in June, more than 11 years after it came out, despite arriving the same week as the standard version.
He Nearly Took a Second ChartUltimate Sinatra also re-entered the broader Jazz Albums chart at No. 2, held off by Sade’s The Best of Sade. His only other charting title this week is Nothing But the Best, at No. 11 and No. 13 on the two rankings. He died 28 years ago and is still making Billboard history.
Who Is King Haakon VIII? Meet Norway’s New King
On August 28, 2026, it was announced that King Harald V of Norway died at the age of 89.
As tradition goes, he was succeeded immediately by his son, King Haakon VIII. The new monarch will take his oath before the Norwegian Parliament, known as the Storting, on Tuesday, September 1.
Following his father’s death, King Haakon, 53, released a statement.
“Prime Minister and ministers. It is my duty to inform the Council of State that my beloved father, His Majesty King Harald V, passed away today, August 28, 2026, at 06:35, and that, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, I have assumed the government as King of Norway,” the statement read. “I will take the name Haakon VIII and will continue with the same motto chosen by my father, my grandfather and my great-grandfather: ‘All for Norway,’ as recorded in the minutes of the Council of State.”
View this post on InstagramBut who is King Haakon?
King Haakon has been married to his wife, now Queen Mette-Marit, since 2001. Initially, Norwegians were not happy with the relationship, as Mette-Marit was a single mom and a “commoner.”
Despite backlash, they have welcomed two children together: Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus. Haakon is also a stepdad to Mette-Marit’s oldest son, Magnus Hoiby.
Mette-Marit made headlines in 2026 due to her past connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. However, she reassured the public that they stopped communicating in 2014.
“It is incredibly important for me to take responsibility for not checking his background more carefully,” she told the BBC. “And to take responsibility for being so manipulated and deceived as I was.”
She continued, “Of course I wish I had never met him.”
Along with being a member of the royal family and a trained naval officer, Haakon is an avid windsurfer and is known to attend music festivals.
Now, one of Haakon’s primary responsibilities as King will be to rebuild public support for the royal family in Norway, especially following the arrest of his stepson, Hoiby, who was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of two of four rape charges.
SNL Just Narrowed Down Who Might Join Its Season 52 Cast
Every comedian’s dream job comes with an audition process that can stretch on for months, and Saturday Night Live‘s is no exception. The classic sketch show has reportedly wrapped its final round of Season 52 showcases and is now sending a shortlist of comedians to screen test for a spot on the cast.
SNL held its fifth and final showcase in mid-August, following stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York over the summer. Names that reportedly stood out from those early rounds include Trent Mason, Kaba Hues, Chase Rosenberg, and April Rock from the Los Angeles showcase, Peyton Ruddy from Chicago, and Joey Welsh, Allisha Edwards, Amber Singletary, and Saidah Belo-Osagie from New York.
Related: Lisa Kudrow Reveals the Casting Criticism She Faced Before Friends
A follow-up report has since narrowed that group further. Mason and Belo-Osagie are said to be moving on to screen tests, joined by Claire Riffle, Grace Reiter, Devin Bockrath, Olivia Puckett, Ismael Loutfi, Rachel Coster, Russell Daniels, and Ana Fabrega, the Los Espookys co-creator known for her surreal, character-driven comedy. Screen tests mark the traditional next-to-last step in SNL’s audition pipeline, typically performed in front of Lorne Michaels and other producers before any final hiring decisions are made.
This year’s search carries a bit more weight than usual, since Chloe Fineman became the first Season 51 cast member to confirm she is leaving the show, announcing her exit on Instagram in July after seven seasons. With most SNL contracts expiring August 1, there has been speculation that more departures could follow before the new season locks its lineup, though nothing has been confirmed beyond Fineman’s exit as of this report.
Timing-wise, the stakes are higher too. Season 52 is expected to premiere on September 26, which would make it SNL’s earliest debut since 2012, giving Michaels and his team a tighter runway to finalize a cast than in recent years. A finalized lineup typically isn’t announced until closer to the premiere, so any names currently screen testing are not guaranteed a spot, and plenty of contenders from past showcases have gone on to write for the show instead of joining the cast.
Fans hoping for hints will likely be watching for scattered reports as auditions continue, but for now, the list of screen-test hopefuls is the closest look yet at who might be filling out Studio 8H’s newest featured-player class this fall.

80s Olympic Ice Legend, Known as the 'King of the Ice,' Turns 68
Scott Hamilton turns 68 today, capping a career that took him from a childhood health scare to the top of the Olympic podium.
Hamilton was adopted as an infant and, as a toddler, developed a mysterious condition that stalled his growth for years. Doctors couldn’t pinpoint a cause, but skating became part of his recovery, and he never left the ice. He broke through at the 1981 U.S. Championships with a performance strong enough to earn a standing ovation before he’d even finished, and he didn’t lose another amateur competition for the rest of his career.
That run culminated at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where Hamilton won gold in men’s figure skating. It was the first Olympic gold medal for an American man in the sport since David Jenkins won in 1960, ending a 24-year drought. Hamilton clinched the title on the strength of his compulsory figures and short program, even though Canada’s Brian Orser edged him in the free skate.
By the time he turned professional later that year, Hamilton had already racked up four consecutive U.S. titles and four consecutive World Championships. He spent two years touring with Ice Capades before co-founding Stars on Ice, the touring show he helped run for 15 years. He also became known for his signature backflip, a move so difficult it was actually against International Skating Union rules for most of his career, though he still performed it in exhibitions.
After retiring from performing, Hamilton built a second career as a broadcaster, calling figure skating for CBS and later NBC across multiple Olympic Games. He’s also spent decades as a cancer survivor and advocate, founding the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation to support cancer research and patients.
Nearly 42 years after his gold medal moment in Sarajevo, Hamilton is still one of the most recognizable figures in American figure skating history.
The Gentlemen 2 Trailer Is Here and Features a Downton Abbey Cast Member
Guy Ritchie’s high-society crime caper The Gentlemen is officially getting even bigger. The newly released Season 2 trailer proves it, complete with a familiar face from another beloved British period drama.
Hugh Bonneville, best known for his role in Downton Abbey, is joining the cast as Lord Hawthorne, an aristocrat who finds himself pulled into Eddie Horniman’s (Theo James) ambitious efforts to expand his criminal empire. It’s a fitting bit of casting continuity, given that James also appeared in Downton Abbey earlier in his career (RIP, Kemal Pamuk), making Bonneville’s arrival feel like something of a reunion within Ritchie’s stately, scheming world.
In Season 2, Eddie and Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) are expanding their criminal operation internationally, taking their business to the lakeside villas of Italy. But Eddie also has his sights set on reclaiming the influence his family once had. “Four hundred years ago, this estate spread out as far as the eye could see,” Eddie says in the trailer. “I want it all back.”
Fueling that ambition is American billionaire Stanley Johnston, played by Giancarlo Esposito, who urges Eddie to “forge your own path,” testing his loyalty to the Glass family in the process. Ray Winstone returns as crime lord Bobby Glass, alongside a returning ensemble that includes Joely Richardson, Daniel Ings, Jasmine Blackborow and Guy Ritchie regular Vinnie Jones.
New Season 2 cast additions include Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr. and Love Island U.K. host Maya Jama.
Netflix has already renewed The Gentlemen for a third season, with Ritchie set to return as director. “A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further,” Ritchie said, according to Variety. The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres Sept. 3 on Netflix.
'DWTS' Icon Julianne Hough Shares Sweet Memories of Working With Dolly Parton
Dancing with the Stars staple Julianne Hough is remembering the late Dolly Parton after she had not one, but two working experiences with the country music legend.
Hough, who starred alongside Parton in the singer’s Netflix series, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings in 2019, shared a sweet moment between the two while chatting with brother Derek Hough in an interview for Extra TV, which he hosts.
“I’ll never forget it,” she said. “We were talking between scenes, and she was like, ‘You know what? You remind me myself, and you always want to do all these different things…But just remember, always stay the artist that you are,’ and that hit me so hard because I feel like…I love business, and I love this, and I love that. But really, my true nature is an artist.”
Julianne also shared an unforgettable moment when at the Netflix premiere she forgot her earrings and Parton lent her a pair to ultimately keep. Later in their chat, she also recalled the fact that she “got to sing ‘Baby Blues’ on stage,’ with Parton during the show.
“I got to sing with Dolly, like, are you kidding me?” she said.
“I feel like I’ll always have that like piece and that memory of Dolly with me, she added. “But I think the biggest thing that I’m feeling, and I feel overwhelmed with it, is just how beloved she was by every single person and walk of life.”
The siblings also recalled the time, a few years earlier, where Parton performed ‘9 to 5’ on Dancing with the Stars in 2015 during Season 20. The Houghs along with Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke danced along to Parton singing live.
“Those were those early days when we were just like blown away by the guests that would come on,” she recalled. “And to have Dolly Parton on Dancing with the Stars, singing the iconic ‘9 to 5’, and I mean, sometimes I forget about all those experiences that we’ve had, and for Dancing with the Stars to be such a home where we’ve had so many incredible interactions, it’s been a real blessing.”
Former pro Burke also shared a clip of the dancers during Parton’s performance following the news of her death on Instagram.
Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced her death on Tuesday in a social media video posted on her account. It was later confirmed that she had a brief battle with cancer.
“It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly,” he said, in part. “Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.”
Parton’s funeral service, at her request, will be a small and private ceremony.
Nancy Guthrie Update: New Insight Into What’s Happening Behind the Scenes
There may be more happening behind the scenes in the Nancy Guthrie investigation than the public realizes.
More than six months after the 84-year-old mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home, the case remains unsolved. But that doesn’t mean investigators have stopped looking for answers. In fact, new insight into the investigation suggests that the search for Nancy is still very much active—and that detectives may be working on the case far more closely than their limited public updates would suggest.
For Nancy’s family and the countless people who have followed the case, that could offer a glimmer of hope that the mystery surrounding her disappearance will eventually be solved, even if it appears as though the case has gone cold.
“I really still feel that there’s going to be a resolution and that [detectives are] going to solve it,” NewsNation journalist Brian Entin told Us Weekly in an article published on Aug. 28. Entin has been covering the Guthrie case from the beginning. “I just know through my sources how many people are working behind the scenes. With other cases that go cold, they might have one detective that looks into it every once in a while, or they say it’s technically still open. With this case, there’s a dedicated task force. There are still FBI agents and detectives whose entire full-time job is just the Nancy Guthrie case every single day, and they all meet together every single day.”

“I also have faith in the DNA,” Entin continued. “I’ve learned a lot about how much that technology is changing, and just other parts of science. There are advances every single week,” he claimed. “They’re able to do things they weren’t able to do not that long ago with DNA testing. I’m hopeful that eventually there’ll be a break on that front.”
Authorities believe that Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Arizona home in the middle of night back in February. Despite the FBI’s ability to obtain some video footage of an armed individual on Guthrie’s front stoop taken the night she went missing, investigators have not yet named a suspect.
Anyone with information about the Guthrie case is asked to call Tucson’s 88-Crime hotline at 1-520-882-7463 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

1961 Pop Song, Sung by 20-Year-Old Actor Ricky Nelson, Is Still a Sensational No.1 Hit 65 Years Later
By the 60’s, Ricky Nelson was already a celebrity due to his TV career and a 1959 music hit, and in 1961 released “Travelin’ Man” that became a chart-topper after being saved from the garbage.
The actor was well-known for starring in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet since he was eight years old with his family, and a series of films. He later decided to venture into music and began his career as a recording artist in 1957. In 1958, he made history with “Poor Little Fool” as the first No.1 hit on Billboard‘s newly created Hot 100 chart.
A few years later, Nelson would once again top the charts with the pop song “Travelin’ Man,” written by singer-songwriter Jerry Fuller. It not only topped the charts on the Hot 100, but also on Cashbox, in New Zealand, Canada, and Australia. Originally, Fuller developed the track with the hopes of it being recorded by Sam Cooke, but his management didn’t have any interest.
“Travelin’ Man” almost didn’t land in Nelson’s lap, as it was trashed by Cooke’s manager, J.W. Alexander. According to SongFacts, Nelson’s bassist was the one responsible for getting the track to the singer.
“Joe Osborn, who was Ricky’s bass player, heard it through the wall,” Fuller said. “He said, ‘J.W., do you have that ‘Travelin” song you just played?’ He said, ‘Yeah, you can have it,’ and he reached in the trash, and he pulled out the demo.”
Fuller created the track on a whim. He told the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that he used to sit in a park in Los Angeles called De Longpre Park waiting for his wife. He waited for his wife to get off work to go pick her up, and that’s where he began the melody for “Travelin’ Man.”
“I didn’t play an instrument. I just beat on my dashboard. I’d beat out the rhythm and hum the melody; I knew what melody I wanted, and I’d occasionally go to a piano and find the chord. And I didn’t play piano either; I would just find the chord and say, ‘That’s what I want there’,” he explained. “It’s a fairly simple song.”
The lyrics of the track told the story of a young man traveling around the world and finding a girl everywhere he goes. Anyone who listend would realize that Fuller used the word for “girl” in different languages from different parts of the world.
“I took a world atlas, and I looked up what they call a girl in Germany, you know, ‘Fraulien.’ What they call ‘señorita’ in Mexico. I didn’t know ‘wahine’ for Hawaii, so I said Polynesian baby’ and made a song out of it. A girl in every port was the idea,” explained Fuller.
When it came to recording the demo, Glen Campbell was the one who played the guitar. Seeing as Fuller didn’t play any instruments, he beat out the rhythm on the back of a guitar and sang the song like Cooke. While Cooke didn’t record the track, Nelson’s version ended up selling millions of copies.

1984 No. 1 Breakup Power Ballad Hit by Phil Collins Makes Generational Comeback 42 Years Later
Phil Collins‘ “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” is getting a second life more than four decades after it first topped the charts, thanks to an unlikely source: Grand Theft Auto VI.
The song turned up in Rockstar’s newest extended look at the long-awaited game, which premiered on Netflix this week ahead of the title’s Nov. 19 release. Fans combing through the trailer’s soundtrack immediately picked it out, and it wasn’t long before the reactions rolled in online.
The song itself has plenty of history to draw from. Written for the 1984 film of the same name, “Against All Odds” gave Collins his first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for three weeks starting April 21, 1984. It went on to win Collins a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male, and was nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
Reactions to seeing him resurface in a GTA trailer were mixed with plenty of affection. “Phil Collins continuing to make a paycheck off of GTA. You love to see it,” one fan wrote online. Others defended the pick on its merits rather than treating it as a punchline. “His music fits that 80’s noir vibe that GTA has always had,” one commenter wrote, arguing the song’s placement felt intentional rather than random.
Collins’ hit wasn’t the only blast from the past in the trailer’s soundtrack, Cliff Richard’s 1976 hit “Devil Woman” and Depeche Mode’s 1984 track “People Are People” also made appearances, suggesting Rockstar is once again leaning into a mix of decades-spanning deep cuts rather than sticking to current hits alone.
With the game still months away, “Against All Odds” joins a long list of songs that have found new audiences through a GTA placement.
David Letterman Banned Director Harmony Korine From 'Late Show' After Catching Him Rifling Through Meryl Streep's Purse
Throughout his historic tenure on The Late Show, David Letterman managed to enjoy his fair share of memorable guests, from comedy legends like Steve Martin and Robin Williams to acting icons like Bill Murray and Tom Hanks.
As many renowned guests as Letterman invited on the show, one notable exception was the controversial director Harmony Korine, who Letterman apparently ejected from The Late Show for a reported incident with Meryl Streep in the late ’90s.
According to The Guardian, Letterman allegedly happened across Korine searching through Streep’s purse, leading the TV host to kick the director out from The Late Show‘s studio and enforce a strict ban that prevented him from ever returning.
“I went upstairs to greet Meryl Streep and welcome her to the show, and I knock on the door … and she was not in there,” Letterman remembered. “And I looked around, and she was not in there, and I found Harmony going through her purse. True story. And so I said: ‘That’s it, put her things back in her bag and then get out.'”
Though a tense encounter, Letterman eventually relented on his stance, offering to have the director back on the show after he completed rehab.
In 2008, Korine opened up about this turbulent period in his life, calling it a “crazy time” that was filled with plenty of low moments, such as his ejection from The Late Show. Korine went so far as to say that, by that point in his life, his health had spiraled so far out of control, he felt sure he only had a few years left to live.
“I felt pretty debased and lost,” Korine revealed. “I became like a tramp. I wasn’t delusional. I didn’t think I was going to be OK. I thought: ‘This might be the end.’ I’d read enough books. I knew where this story ended. The story finishes itself.”

Jelly Roll Breaks Silence on His Political Affiliation In the Best Way Possible
Jelly Roll has decided its time to open up about his political affiliation, and he’s done it in the best way possible.
The need arose after he guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! throughout the week starting Aug. 24, 2026. He made some jokes about President Donald Trump, immediately leading to backlash from those who believed he supported the current president, and on Aug. 27, he decided to use the monologue as a chance to address everything.
While addressing the backlash and breaking his silence, he did it in a way that marks a great thing about being an American: “The democracy, the freedom of speech.”
Throughout the monologue, Jelly Roll noted that many people have made assumptions about him based on his religion, where he comes from, and various comments he’s made. Some believe him to be MAGA, while others believe that he’s “some sort of liberal snowflake.” He thinks that many people project their beliefs onto him, and he’s not used to that.
As he shared clips of people commenting about his Trump jokes, he also shared clips of people commenting on him praising the UFC Freedom 250 event. They sit on both sides of the political spectrum, and the country music singer made one thing clear: “Just because I watched a fight on TV doesn’t mean I support everything this administration does, just like hosting Jimmy Kimmel’s show doesn’t mean I have all of Jimmy Kimmel’s politics.”
In the end, he made it clear that he’s probably “like most folks,” and that’s down the middle. However, it’s clear that he often likes to keep his politics to himself, even back in February, making it clear that he didn’t have much of a comment about the State of the Union right now.
One thing he made clear is that he supports human rights. He supports human dignity, and that doesn’t mean supporting one side or another, continuing with, “Human dignity isn’t Republican nor Democrat. Compassion isn’t left wing, and mercy isn’t right wing. Pain and healing know no partisanship. Hurting hearts are more important than poll numbers. And there are no boundaries or borders for broken families.”
He ended the speech by making one thing clear: he will continue to shake the hand of any president who occupies the office. That’s something he was raised to do by his veteran father, and it’s something he will continue to do in his father’s memory. Taking pictures and making jokes doesn’t define his politics, so it’s time for people to stop reading into things and allow democracy and freedom of speech.
This wraps up Jelly Roll’s guest-hosting spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and he made sure people understood what it meant to him. The late-night talk show was the first place he performed his music on national TV, where he did his first skit, and where he sat on the couch for the first time. It has been an honor he will never forget.

Something as simple as right or wrong. Good or evil. Healthy or unhealthy, and our ability to make a choice. Often, we are incapable of choosing the right thing, and we find ourselves in situations that we know hold us back, therefore affecting our own well being. The outcome is what we make of it.”
Comeback Kid formed in Winnipeg in the early 2000s and has spent more than two decades touring and releasing music in the hardcore scene. The current lineup includes Neufeld, guitarists Jeremy Hiebert and Stu Ross, bassist Chase Brenneman, and drummer Terrance Pettitt.
Comeback Kid’s newly announced tour will give fans a run of shows built around the band’s latest album and a rotating group of hardcore acts.

Dolly Parton Said 'The Little Engine That Could' 'Gave Me Strength, It Gave Me Hope and It Gave Me the Courage to Keep Chasing my Dreams'
Dolly Parton might have been a giant in the music industry, but throughout her life, the legendary singer-songwriter maintained a deep-seated love for reading.
Consuming an average of 50 books a year, Parton’s favorite books ranged from classic children’s books to more recent romantic epics. According to People magazine, however, one of the singer’s favorite story was one she heard throughout her childhood.
As mentioned by People, Parton once revealed in an interview that one of the most impactful stories her mother ever read her was none other than the classic 20th century children’s story, The Little Engine That Could.
As Parton remembered it, hearing her mother tell the now beloved tall tale helped instill a feeling of perseverance throughout her life, giving her the resolve to pursue many of her greatest ambitions.
“On many occasions, when my dream seemed far away, my mama would tell me the story of the Little Engine to comfort and encourage me,” Parton said. “While I listened to her, I would close my eyes and think of myself as the Little Engine and just start saying over and over again, ‘I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.’ It gave me strength, it gave me hope, and it gave me the courage to keep chasing my dreams.”
In addition to The Little Engine That Could, People highlighted several other books that Parton held near and dear throughout her lifetime. This included:
- The swashbuckling adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
- The spellbinding circus novel Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
- The Southern Gothic novel Black Mountain Breakdown by Lee Smith
- The coming-of-age novel The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Daré
- The harrowing survival novel Dear Edward by Ann Napolitino

'He Is So Lost': Tiger Woods Sparks Public Concern in Rare Public Appearance Since DUI Arrest
Tiger Woods made a rare public appearance this week, and it was enough to set off a wave of concern online.
The 15-time major champion appeared in a pre-recorded video message Tuesday during the Payne Stewart Award ceremony, honoring his longtime friend and fellow golfer, Notah Begay III. It was one of the only times Woods has been seen publicly since a rollover crash back in March, which led to him being charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI, including property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Police reportedly found two opioid tablets in his pocket at the scene. Woods later spent time in a rehab facility in Switzerland before returning to the U.S., where he’s largely avoided cameras ever since.
Once the tribute video began circulating on social media via Golf Channel, reactions split sharply. Some viewers zeroed in on how different Woods looked. “Tiger looks a shell of his former self, sadly,” one commenter wrote, while another said he “looked spaced out.” “He is so lost,” another online commenter wrote, a sentiment echoed across multiple threads reacting to the footage.
Other fans pushed back on the speculation, defending Woods and urging people to show restraint. “The way everyone in these replies is just diagnosing him like he’s a lab specimen is crazy,” one person wrote, adding that Woods had simply shown up to honor a friend.
Woods’ legal case tied to the March arrest is still pending. A source close to the golfer told reporters he remains determined to return to competitive golf eventually, but that doing so will depend on getting his pain management and fitness routine back on track first. Woods still holds the PGA Tour record with 82 career wins and 15 majors, a mark current stars continue to chase but haven’t yet caught.
