What is Beltane? 10 Ways to Manifest Your Desires With This Sacred Event
What is Beltane? Beltane is an ancient Celtic holiday that annually begins at sunset on April 30th and lasts until sunset on May 1. Spiritual practitioners celebrate it as a festive occasion that marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer.
Beltane is regarded as a "greater sabbat" within what is commonly known as "The Wheel of the Year." This annual calendar features an eight-pointed star enclosed in a circle, with the points representing four lesser sabbats and four greater sabbats. The term 'sabbats' refers to specific celebrations that mark the turning points and midpoints of the seasons and the Sun's movement throughout the year.
The Importance of BeltaneSamhain, commonly known as Halloween, is located directly opposite Beltane on the Wheel of the Year. Many people are familiar with the thinning of the veil between the living and the dead during Samhain, but what they may not realize is that Beltane also experiences a similar thinning!
During this time, creatures such as the fae, river and forest spirits, and other nature entities are believed to be particularly active. If you've noticed similar effects or experiences around Beltane as you do around Halloween, this is why. This period is also considered a highly favorable time for manifestation.
How Beltane is CelebratedThe celebration of Beltane marks the arrival of a prosperous summer filled with abundance and fertility. It honors the earth's strength as it awakens from winter and supports the harvest of blessings in the coming season. On the night of April 30, bonfires, or "Belfires", are made from carefully collected wood.
These fires are believed to possess healing and other metaphysical properties. People would run their livestock between two fires or jump over the flames themselves, hoping to gain some of these magical benefits.
Another popular tradition is dancing in a weaving circle around the Maypole, with ribbons in hand. Participants dance in large groups until the pole is adorned with vibrant spring and summer colors, symbolizing community and unity. This practice is still cherished today.
The Astrology of Beltane 2026This year, Beltane 2026 falls during the Full Flower Moon in Scorpio, making this an especially potent time for magic focused on release, transformation, and stepping fully into your power. This aligns perfectly with the spirit of Beltane.
10 Ways to Manifest In Alignment With BeltaneHere are some ways to harness the energy of this powerful holiday to manifest your heart's desires. Prosperity comes in so many forms and can affect so many areas of our lives, so you can tweak any of these manifestations to fit your needs and intentions, as long as the objective is to build something successful and draw a blessing in. Blessed Beltane, and so mote it be.
1. Bel-fire AbundanceIf you want to keep your bonfire traditional to the holiday, you'll need to gather fallen wood from nine different types of trees. The types of wood may vary by location, but the fire should ideally include nine local varieties, some of which hold spiritual significance for the community. However, if your goal is simply to have a bonfire and dance around it while reflecting on what you hope the summer will bring into your life, that's perfectly fine, too.
2. Jump the Flame Cure-AllNo access to anything but a scented candle in the house? No problem! Fire is both destructive and purifying, but during Beltane, we primarily focus on its purifying qualities. Townspeople would leap over the flames of a bonfire to clear their minds of challenges, rid themselves of illness, and burn away their burdens, allowing good fortune to enter their lives. As you jump over the fire, shout out the one word that represents what you want to manifest, then laugh. Laughter is the highest form of magic.
3. Love WreathsUsing greenery, soft branches, and flowers you collect along the floor of nearby nature trails, weave them into small wreaths that express your intentions for the relationship you want with a specific person. Leave them at the intended recipient's home, or give them directly to hang in their home.
4. Bannock Cake BlessingThe traditional Bannock cake is made with only eggs, milk, and oatmeal, but this recipe is an acceptable variation of the classic.
- Grind 1 ½ cups of Rolled Oats (Maple and Brown Sugar for a sweeter cake) into a powder and set aside.
- Whisk ¼ tsp of Salt, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract, and ½ cup of sugar into 2 Eggs until thick and creamy.
- Gently whisk in ¼ cup of oil or butter.
- Mix in your Oats (flour substitute) and add 1 tsp Baking Powder until it looks like porridge.
- Pour the contents into a small glass baking dish (do not use steel or iron; that will hurt the Fae!).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
It’s customary at Beltane to make offerings to the faeries, such as milk, honey, cakes, breads, berries, and even flowers, in the hopes that they will bestow good fortune and abundance. If you’re brave enough to risk their unpredictable response, use a piece of a brown paper bag as your petition paper. Write down what you wish to see change for the better in your life at sunset, and remove the paper the following day at sunset. Remember, never make demands or break promises to the fae; always approach them with respect.
6. Drawing Down the SunThe Sun is a very important part of summer growth and fertility, of course, so celebrating that imagery by simply drawing, painting, or sculpting anything in the shape of the sun, flowers, crops, or harvest can be a good way to set intentions for personal growth or expansion in other aspects of your life.
7. The Green ManA well-known symbol of the Beltane celebration is the Green Man, who is covered from head to toe in green and adorned with leaves and foliage. This figure typically embodies the transition between winter and summer. The Green Man represents the cycles of nature, including life, death, and rebirth. Meditation in nature can connect you with this energy to heal the earth and promote its renewal.
8. Flower CrownsYou can create flower crowns in the same manner as you make Love Wreaths. Like the holiday itself, flower crowns celebrate the connection between the earth and the sky, and wearing flowers near the crown chakra aligns with these ideals. Typically, flower crowns are reserved for ceremonies or holidays that honor the earth's bounty.
9. Green Man’s GardenPlanting seeds on Beltane is also thought to be good luck—it doesn’t even matter what it is! You can plant in the ground or a pot; just use what you have around you. If you’re interested in growing some food, this is a great time to do so.
10. Dancing the MaypoleLast but certainly not least, maypole dancing is perhaps the most widely recognized celebration of Beltane. Originally, this dance was intended to foster community cooperation and sometimes served as a litmus test to determine how well individuals could work together toward a common goal, as evidenced by its choreographed conclusion.
While modern performances often feature choreographed steps to create a pleasing aesthetic, there are instances when the dance unfolds more spontaneously, resulting in beauty without strict planning. Beyond teamwork, this ritual also seeks to manifest the union of all energies for harmony and balance. After all, what better way is there to gather everything we need for a joyful life?

Teyana Taylor Turns Heads in Corset Dress Made With Coils of Hair
Teyana Taylor just turned heads while rocking a corset dress made with coils of hair at the 2026 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
On Wednesday, April 29, the singer/actress/model, 35, walked the purple carpet before heading into the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Calif., and her attire for the evening definitely caught fans' attention on social media.
The eye-catching cream gown was by Ashi Studio, per Harper's Bazaar. It featured a corseted bodice with dark, curly, 3-D designs resembling hair. Hair curled at the bottom also seemingly stood in for laces on the back of the dress. Fittingly, Taylor opted to wear her long, dark hair down and curly to complement the gown.
On Reddit, reactions to Taylor's bold fashion statement were mixed. One user declared of the hair-dress, "I love the kookiness!"
Another fan shared, "Just a heads up, most of that is hair. The corset is tied with hair, the details on the corset, hair. And, I believe the petticoat/train is yak hair. This was posted on another sub with more pictures and close-ups."

A different Redditor wrote, "The idea of a hair fringe skirt just made me shudder involuntarily. Teyana always gives us something interesting!"
Yet another person commented, "This outfit is so radical it’s a mess."
Meanwhile, someone else on Reddit critiqued Taylor's red carpet look piece by piece, writing, "Wow. Her first miss, and it’s a doozy. The top doesn’t work with the bottom. That hair corset is interesting, but also disgusting. I love the shoes from the top until that toe box, which I despise. Had it been all the same shade, it would have looked so much more cohesive, but this is just not good overall. Still, she gets a pass for making it this far to her first flop. Onwards!"
At the 2026 Billboard Women in Music Awards, Taylor was honored with the Visionary Award, presented to her by Dionne Warwick. She attended with parents, Nikki Taylor and Tito Smith, and also performed at the awards show.

1963 Nostalgic Hit That Pokes Fun at Elvis Presley Named in Best Rock Movies of All Time
Back in the ’50s and ’60, Elvis was king. A pop culture hero whose influence stretched far beyond the stage, the global superstar and the rock-and-roll hysteria that followed him was also the inspiration for the classic musical Bye Bye Birdie, named the best rock movie of 1963 by Ultimate Classic Rock.
“Even though the music wasn't necessarily rock, the overall depiction of high-school culture, big-budget production, and star power on display put it light years ahead of Beach Party, the first in Roger Corman's series of beach movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, and Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday,” UCR writes.
View this post on InstagramAdapted from the same-name stage musical, the film, directed by George Sidney, was inspired by Elvis Presley’s military draft era, with the satire mirroring the cultural shift of 1950s rock and the real-life fan hysteria surrounding the 23-year-old’s service in the U.S. Army. Specifically, the film focuses on the farewell story of Conrad Birdie, played by Jesse Pearson, a rock star who heads to Sweet Apple, Ohio, for a final performance that includes kissing a local sweetheart before he’s whisked away to serve his country.
Awash in teen idol fandom, generational tension, and so much pastel, the film fuses rockability with traditional Broadway-style dance sequences for a movie musical that’s as wildly lovable as the hip-swiveling heartthrob at its core. Key numbers include “Honestly Sincere,” “One Last Kiss,” and “A Lot of Livin’ to Do.” Interestingly, the song that launched Dick Van Dyke’s career, “Put On a Happy Face,” was a dud in early showings of the musical and almost cut from the production.
Alongside Pearson, heavyweights of Hollywood dazzle on the screen. There’s Van Dyke reprising his Tony-winning role and making his big-screen debut as music agent Albert. Hitchcock muse Janet Leigh plays his girlfriend, Rosie, a role originally meant for Rita Moreno. Ann-Margret lights up the screen as Conrad's biggest fan, Kim, and Ed Sullivan plays, well, himself. Fun fact: The role of Conrad was actually named after Conway Twitty, who was offered the role before Pearson. He and Presley both turned it down.
These days, Bye Bye Birdie’s stars are still relishing in the rock movie's legacy, with Ann-Margret telling People she thinks back to the fun parody all the time -- mostly because she's curious how Van Dyke had so much pep in his step: “He always had so much energy. I kept saying, ‘How do you have so much energy?’”
Bye Bye Birdie is available to rent or buy on Prime Video.

1991 Action Classic Considered One of the Greatest Sequels Ever Is Getting a 35th Anniversary Update
He may have said it in the 1984 film, but Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't lying when he said one of the most iconic movie lines, "I'll be back."
And that's because his 1991 action hit, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, called "the most impressive sequel in movie history" by Tommy Lethbridge of Screen Rant, is headed back to theaters to celebrate a milestone anniversary.
In honor of the 35 years since its July 3, 1991, premiere, the blockbuster classic will be screening in select theaters in the U.S. starting on May 22 for a limited run.
Rialto Pictures and STUDIOCANAL noted in the press release that they are "proud to present one of the greatest science fiction action movies of all time for its 35th anniversary."
The James Cameron-directed film will be available in "all four theatrical formats: original 35mm and 70mm prints, and 4K DCP and 3-D DCP digital restorations" for an 8-week release.
Theaters will include the IFC Center in New York and American Cinematheque in Los Angeles and AFI Silver in DC.
The blockbuster summer hit of the '90s, set eleven years after the original, found Schwarzenegger reprising the action hero role of the cyborg killer, the Terminator, which "cemented his film career" and made him a box office superstar.
Now reprogrammed, the T-800 is sent to 1995 Los Angeles to protect Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son, John Connor (Edward Furlong), from the T-1000 (Robert Patrick), a shape-shifting android sent from the future to assassinate him.
While we'll never be able to relive the film's twist for the first time, simply seeing it on the big screen again can almost trick us into thinking we've traveled back in time.
Not only did the film see commercial success, with a massive box office draw of about $520 million globally, making it the highest-grossing film of the year, but years later, it still holds an impressive 90 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Christopher Knight Says Eve Plumb Romance Was ‘Sweet’ but Doomed After ‘The Brady Bunch'
ChristopherKnight is speaking out about his brief romance with The Brady Bunch costar EvePlumb.
Knight portrayed PeterBrady on the 1969 family sitcom, while Plumb played his stepsister JanBrady.
The pair have stayed friends throughout the years, but their connection became a bit more after the series ended in 1974.
“Eve was more mature than me very early [and] always had, from the earliest I can remember, her claim on me, but I wasn't there,” Knight told People at The Brady BunchExperience on April 28. "You know, I wasn't ready to be claimed. I wasn't even aware for part of that time that it just wasn't there, right to the very end.”
Plumb also looked back at their relationship.
The 68-year-old actress told Page 6 earlier this month, “It was sweet,” she said. “It was fun, but we were really already by that time just too good of friends to make that transition into being romantic partners.”
The cast of The Brady Bunch grew up together. Knight remembers the strong bond he and Plumb shared.
"It's funny because ... for all those years, from 10, 11 till 16 ... the only people in my world that I was close to really were this group, this cast,” he said.
Ultimately, the 68-year-old actor believes their short-lived relationship was not meant to last
“It was sweet, but it was [not] destined, and I'm glad,” he said. “Because surely, you know, exes aren't somebody you normally stay very close to. So we never had a chance to be an item, to find a distance in one another.”
To Knight, the evening was “like getting a kiss on two different trains right as they separate.
The Brady Bunch siblings remain in contact with each other. Plumb has said they schedule monthly Zoom calls with their partners.
The actress recently released her memoir, Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, which tells the story of her life and career. She included details about the pair’s teenage romance.
“Any attempts at making out that evening ended with laughter and resignation that we’d always be sister and brother, even in real life,” she wrote.

Doritos Is Finally Bringing This Cult-Favorite International Flavor to the U.S.
There's nothing snack lovers enjoy more than spotting a flavor that used to be out of reach suddenly popping up stateside. For months, fans of bold chips have been whispering about a garlicky new Doritos flavor available only in Canada. Now, those rumors are turning into real-life sightings, and shoppers are racing to track it down.
Doritos has officially dropped its Ultimate Garlic Parm flavor in the United States, marking the first widespread American release of the once Canada-exclusive snack. The garlic Parmesan chips first built a cult following abroad, where fans praised the intensely savory seasoning and creamy, cheesy finish. Now, Doritos is giving American shoppers a chance to see what the hype is about.
Early reports from food bloggers like @snackolator indicate that large bags of the new Doritos Ultimate Garlic Parmesan chips are landing at Sam's Club, with smaller bags expected to roll out at additional retailers. As with many limited snack launches, availability may vary by region.
A Cult-Favorite Garlic Parmesan Flavor Crosses the Border View this post on InstagramDoritos fans who've tried the Canadian version describe the Garlic Parm flavor as bold, heavily seasoned and unapologetically savory. Some say the chips taste like a zesty ranch base layered with sharp Parmesan and punchy garlic.
The move to bring this international Doritos flavor to the U.S. feels pretty strategic. Summer is prime time for shareable snacks, backyard gatherings and bold chips that stand out on a party table. Garlic Parmesan is already a popular seasoning across wings, fries and savory snacks, so it makes sense that Doritos would tap into that demand.

Where to Find the New Doritos ChipsSo far, the most consistent sightings of Doritos Ultimate Garlic Parmesan chips have been at Sam's Club in large-format bags. However, smaller bags are expected to hit additional grocery stores and big-box retailers soon. Some online platforms are already showing listings, suggesting a wider distribution is underway.
If history is any indication, new Doritos launches can disappear quickly once word spreads. Fans who have been waiting for these Garlic Parm chips to arrive in the U.S. may want to keep an eye on local shelves. Between the cult following, strong early reactions and Doritos' track record for bold snacks, this release could be one of the season's most talked-about chips.

'70s Rock Band Released First No. 1 Hit Song 19 Years After Forming
Sometimes, chart success doesn't come right away, even for the most enduring artists.
For Heart, that long-awaited moment arrived in 1986 with "These Dreams," the band's first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, nearly two decades after they first formed in the late 1960s.
By the time "These Dreams" was released in 1985, Heart had already built a loyal fanbase and a reputation for blending hard rock with emotional ballads. But the song marked a turning point, helping the band reach a new level of mainstream success.
Written by Martin Page and Bernie Taupin, "These Dreams" stood out for its softer, more atmospheric sound. It also featured a lead vocal from Nancy Wilson, rather than her sister Ann, an unexpected shift that added to the song's distinctive feel.
"We were fish out of water for the first part of the '80s, and then we grabbed on to the Prince & The Revolution vibe with the stylists, and worked with other songwriters," Nancy Wilson told Guitar World. "We'd only written our own songs up until then, but 'Alone' and 'These Dreams' and 'What About Love' are great songs that could be out of any era."
With its dreamy production and introspective lyrics, the track resonated with listeners, offering something different from the band's earlier, heavier hits. That evolution paid off, as the song climbed the charts and ultimately reached the top spot.
The achievement was especially significant given how long Heart had been working toward it. Formed years earlier and already successful by many measures, the band's first No. 1 hit felt like both a breakthrough and a validation of their staying power.
"These Dreams" helped usher in a new era for Heart, proving they could adapt to changing musical trends while still maintaining their identity.
"It was a real interesting switcheroo culturally in the '80s after the mind-expanded '60s. With new wave and then MTV came along, the studio and recording technology changed to be more digital," Wilson told Skate Fantom.
"The music fashion changed, with MTV, it became more about image making than it was about the music. That part was a way less comfortable fit, because we were not from LA. We were street urchins from Seattle, hippie girls. We didn't have the big city, industry town mentality like LA. Which was all about what you’re going to wear, the makeup, the hair, the lighting."
Decades later, the song remains one of the band'’'s most recognizable hits, a timeless anthem that shows sometimes the biggest milestones come later than expected, but are all the more meaningful because of it.

4 Zodiac Signs That Make the Best Pet Parents
There’s something so special about the bond between a person and their pet. Animals add so much to our lives through the simplicity of daily moments of morning routines, companionship, and just the way an animal instinctively knows when you need a little extra comfort. Some people naturally step into that caretaker role with ease that their pets feel immediately.
The key to that innate ability may lie in your birthdate. In astrology, certain star signs are more attuned to parenting a pet. Whether it’s through emotional connection, consistency, physical comfort, or pure heart-led affection, these four zodiac signs care for their animals in ways that make them feel treasured, nurtured, and supported at home.
Which Zodiac Signs Make the Best Pet Parents?Check for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs.
CancerNo one nurtures like a Cancer! Protective, intuitive, and deeply sensitive, a pet parent born under the sign of the cosmic crab isn’t just going to own a pet; they are going to deeply bond with them! They get to know what their animal companion needs in a way that is so spot on, it almost feels telepathic. They pick up on everything, noticing even the slightest shift in behavior, emotions, or appetite, and respond immediately, ensuring their pets feel understood and cherished in every way. Cancers appreciate a sense of coziness for themselves, so, of course, they ensure their pets receive that same care through soft blankets, making favorite sleeping spots always available, and even making room in their own beds for their beloved animals.

VirgoThoughtful and devoted, Virgos show their care through undivided attention to those they love, and this intentional love naturally extends to their pets. Consistency is key, so structure is a major part of how they parent their pets: feeding time will be the same every day, regular vet appointments will never be missed, and everything their pet needs will be kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained. This sort of predictability can be quite comforting for a pet, as it creates a steady, stable environment. Virgos hold themselves to high standards in all matters, including the care they offer their pets. They are always on the lookout for little ways to improve their pet’s daily life, making adjustments as they research or as their pets’ needs shift. That level of care and attention to detail creates an environment that feels not just stable but truly supportive.

TaurusPatient, practical, and reliable, Tauruses take their role as a pet parent seriously. They are very loyal so once they commit to an animal, that bond is for life. Tauruses love luxury, and that will be extended to their pets as well, even if it’s a bit indulgent. A Taurus’s pet will be spoiled with only the best of the best: extra treats, high-quality beds, the best toys, and organic food. It wouldn’t be surprising to find out that a Taurus is in the kitchen cooking every meal for their pets, or even hiring a personal chef for them! Nothing is too good for those they love, and that care makes sure their animals are happy and relaxed.
FURTHER: The 4 Birth Months That Make the Best Grandmothers
LeoAffectionate and attentive, big-hearted Leos adore showering their pets with love. A pet with a Leo parent can expect endless hugs and cuddles, as well as abundant playtime with their fun-loving caretaker. Joy is important to Leos, so they will do everything they can to ensure their pets are happy, fulfilled, and having the best time. They take great pride in their pets and spend a lot of time celebrating them in ways that make them feel like the most important presence in the room. Whether it’s showing them off with walks around the neighborhood, capturing their cutest moments to share on social media, or simply doting on them throughout the day, Leo’s love is expressed openly and generously, and that level of attention creates a bond where a pet feels not just cared for, but sincerely cherished.
Of course, love for an animal isn’t limited to a few signs because anyone can form a deep, meaningful bond with their pet. But what makes these four stand out is the way they express that love so naturally through their care and devotion. Being a great pet parent is about showing up again and again with a loving heart. And when that kind of love is there, animals feel it completely; they relax into it, trust it, and return it in the purest way.

Who Won ‘Jeopardy’ Today? (April 30, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Kate Brody won Thursday's episode of Jeopardy!, finishing with a score of $17,599, unseating 3-day champ Greg Shahade, who entered the game with a winning streak worth $74,602.
Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Greg ShahadeGreg Shahade is a chess player from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who put an end to super-champ Jamie Ding's 31-day streak earlier this week.
Derek KaufmanDerek Kaufman is an attorney from Los Angeles, California.
Kate BrodyKate Brody is a novelist from Los Angeles, California. The newcomer took the game from Shahade thanks to a masterful Daily Double dominance and smart wagering at the right time.

What was Final Jeopardy today?Final Jeopardy today was in the category "SPORTS & THE MOVIES."
The clue: "In 2026 a New Year's Day college football game featured these 2 team names that are both Gene Hackman movie titles."
The answer: What are "Hoosiers" and "Crimson Tide"?
None of the three contestants answered Final Jeopardy correctly in the category, proving Brody's conservative wager was the right strategic move, as was building a large enough lead to survive a miss. Brody entered with $22,000, opposed to Shahade's $13,200 and Kaufman's $1,400. She wagered $4,401, ending with $17,599, while Shahade wagered $10,000 and dropped to a final score of $3,200, with Kaufman in 3rd place after wagering mostly everything and ending with $100.
Brody will return Friday for her second shot.

1999 Fan-Favorite 'Scariest Movie Ever' Reboot Brings Back Original Stars
Modern filmmakers continue to try their hand at the so-called "found footage" subgenre, and it all traces back to The Blair Witch Project.
Often called the "scariest movie of all time" by fans, the 1999 horror/mystery hit remains such a pop-culture phenomenon that a reboot is now in the works.
On Thursday, April 30, exciting details were unveiled about the new project — especially for die-hards of the original installment. Given that the loyal fanbase might be fearful of how a reimagining can turn out, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the original movie's directing team has joined the project as executive producers.
Additionally, the two male leads of The Blair Witch Project — Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams — are also now on board as EPs.
Back in 2024, Lionsgate and Blumhouse announced at CinemaCon that a new version of the iconic movie was in the works,. Lionsgate film boss Adam Fogelson said it would be "a new vision for Blair Witch that will reintroduce this horror classic for a new generation," per THR.
Not long after, Leonard, 50, took to Instagram to express his frustration over his film's team not being involved in the new movie. "The WEIRD PART is that I didn’t know anything about it until a friend sent me a 'congrats' screenshot yesterday," the caption of his post on April 11, 2024 reads.
The caption continues in part, "I’m so proud of our little punk-rock movie, and I LOVE the fans who keep the flames burning. But at this point, it’s 25 years of disrespect from the folks who’ve pocketed the lion’s share (pun intended) of the profits from OUR work, and that feels both icky and classless."
View this post on InstagramThis new development signals unity between the updated vision and the team behind the original, which also starred Heather Donahue, by the way. It was made for just $35,000 and ultimately raked in $248 million globally.

Whether you lived through the ‘90s or not, there’s no mistaking the disheveled, thrifted style born out of the decade. From the music and culture that brought grunge to life to the relaxed, layered nature that inspired its look, the movement became one of the era’s most recognizable fashions, a style still being revisited and reinterpreted by both those who lived it and those born after the fact.
While plenty of pieces helped define grunge as a clothing style, the full-zip hoodie stands out as one of the most enduring. Long tied to music, streetwear and teenage fashion alike, it’s a staple that has likely remained a constant in your own closet. Which is exactly why Uniqlo’sSweat Full-Zip Hoodie is such a hit, as it offers shoppers a $40 essential that channels their favorite throwback fits with a modern touch that elevates the look entirely.
Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie, $39.90 at Uniqlo Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie, assorted colors Shop It!A constant in Uniqlo’s seasonal rotation, the Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie is one of the brand’s most recognizable unisex styles, offering a relaxed, true-to-size fit that works for just about anyone. Featuring a regular-fit silhouette with updated shoulders, body dimensions and ribbing, it’s designed to deliver balanced proportions and clean lines throughout. And as for its worn-in, almost faded look, don’t worry, that’s intentional, thanks to a washed finish that gives it a naturally lived-in feel.
Paired with a smooth fabric and low-shedding yarn to help reduce lint transfer when layering over innerwear, it’s premium details like a contoured hood, metal fastener, spindle heads and grommets that bring its minimalist style to life. With all the creature comforts of a classic full-zip hoodie, this one is designed to become your new favorite, one you’ll reach for on just about any occasion.
At the moment, Uniqlo doesn’t have the full range of colors in stock, though a handful of staples are still available across a wide size run. Shoppers can currently choose from Beige, Gray, Dark Gray and Black, with sizes ranging from XXS through XXXL available both in stores and online.

A Classic Staple That Never Goes Out of Style“The perfect hoodie for sensory-sensitive teens,” one shopper raved in a review. “My son only wears these Uniqlo full-zip hoodies—we’ve tried almost every color. He has ASD and is extremely sensitive to fabrics, so comfort and texture are very important for him,” they added. “This hoodie is one of the few pieces he truly loves wearing.”
That sentiment is echoed across reviews, with another shopper giving the hoodie a “10/10” and praising it for being “so nice and comfortable.”
“I am 5’ 10” and bought a medium which fit me very well,” a third shopper added. “The material is comfortable and durable, but my only problem is that the hoodie string came out after the first wash,” a minor issue that another fan noted can be easily avoided by tying the drawstrings into knots at the ends to prevent fraying.
Sweat Full-Zip Hoodie, GrayPerfect for layering over T-shirts and flannels or under heavier jackets and windbreakers, this full-zip design opens up a range of styling options with one classic silhouette. Wear it with straight or wide-leg jeans, tapered sweats, chino pants, shorts and more, or keep it at the office as an easy grab when the temperature drops. It’s just as suited for working out, tackling projects around the house or simply lounging in your coziest fit.

Here’s Why Fans Are Calling Kim Kardashian and Kanye’s Daughter North West a ‘Young Emo Icon’
She’s only 12-years-old, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West is already a superstar. While she might not join mom as a lawyer or entrepreneur anytime soon, the tween is taking after her dad. At least, when it comes to music.
Back in March, North teased the release of her new project, posting on Instagram, “ep soon #n0rth4evr.” The announcement was met with some veiled skepticism. One commenter wrote an underhanded semi-complement saying, “best nepo baby ever,” while another added, “this is how you do nepotism ok!”
Of course, there was also plenty of outright applause for West, with one commenter raving about the tween, “She literally has infinite swag,” and another comparing her to her famous father, “North is the second coming of Ye.”
North’s latest post features a noir-ish video clip of the young celeb’s latest musical endeavor with the simple caption, “#n0rth4evr.” So what do fans think of West’s new song? One commenter praised the performer, writing, “Young Emo Icon,” as another said, “Living for this.” Fans also called her a “rockstar” and “north star.”
View this post on InstagramEven though North might look and sing like an adult, she’s not even a teenager yet. And with that in mind, Kim Kardashian has faced a string of recent backlashes for allowing her young daughter to dress and act older than most 12-year-olds.
Last year, Kardashian defended herself and North, while on the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying, “You know what, she’s so creative and she’s so amazing. And really, it’s so funny, she’s like really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this, and like I really don’t care that they don’t like it, if someone says they don’t like my blue hair or like my, you know, this or that.’ And she’s really confident, and is like I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.”
Kardashian continued, candidly discussing parenting, “I think any mom of a teenager or a pre-teen, unless you’ve been here, like please, we just need a little bit of grace. It’s really hard, and it’s really interesting. Because all the kids are wearing the same things. And then my daughter tries to wear it, and I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.’ ‘
TheKeeping Up With the Kardashians reality star opened up, sharing an honest view of her daughter, “But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl, and the things that she has experienced where she might have been outspoken or did something, she learns from that.”
2008 Modern Silent Film, Which Was a Box Office Hit, Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’
Who knew a film that is largely silent could make such a massive impact in the modern era?
Rotten Tomatoes ranked the top 300 movies of all time, compiling a list of the greatest films in history. Ranked along classic films such as Rob Reiner's 1987 film The Princess Bride at No. 264 and Leo McCarey's 1937 film Make Way for Tomorrow at No. 259, Andrew Stanton's 2008 masterpiece, WALL-E secured the No. 263 spot.
Released in the U.S. on June 17, 2008, WALL-E was a major box office success for Disney. The film grossed over $521 million worldwide with a budget of only $180 million. Its commercial triumph earned it a place among the highest-grossing Pixar films at the time of its release.
Wall-E arrives at the world premiere of Disney-Pixar's film Wall-E held at the Greek Theater on June 21, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images
WALL-E is an animated sci-fi film that follows a waste-compacting robot named as he navigates a post-apocalyptic Earth void of life after humanity abandoned the planet. Now living on a massive starship, humans have become entirely reliant on technology and overcome by a rampant consumeristic lifestyle.
When a sleek probe robot named EVE is sent to Earth in search of vegetation, Wall-e falls in love with her. While exploring their new unique relationship, the pair must work together as they travel back to the human-inhabited spacecraft to save the future of the species.
While the movie is a heartwarming story about two robots, it is famously silent, an experimental decision for a movie studio to make. Much of the film is completely void of traditional dialogue, with the first 40 minutes being almost entirely wordless. Sound designer Ben Burtt replaced spoken language with a rich palette of beeps and whirring noises to emulate a robotic dialect that keeps audiences effectively engaged.
To this day, WALL-E remains one of Disney's most critically recognized films. Its fan-favorite characters, stunning sound design and captivating story have solidified it as a film that redefined what was possible in modern animation.
