I Tried 22 Cheesecake Factory Appetizers—Here Are 6 Faves and 7 To Skip
There are two types of people in the world: those who order apps, and those who are weak. Look, I understand it's hard to fit brown bread, a starter, a full meal and a slice of cheesecake in one outing, but you have to persevere when you are at the Factory. Take-out bags exist for a reason! And we've got everything you need to know about the best Cheesecake Factory appetizers here.
We get it: It's a lot of emotional labor to choose every part of your meal at the fabulous Factory, so what if we made it easier with all 22 Cheesecake Factory appetizers ranked so you can save your brain cells on choosing between chocolatey or fruity for your cheesecake?
It’s The Cheesecake Factory, so everything is made in-house, which would make this ranking almost impossible based on deliciousness alone, so we have to have some ground rules. The ranking will be based on a few key details; how easy it is to share, uniqueness, presentation and, of course, flavor.
- For being shareable, I’m looking for how awkward it is or isn’t to share with three or more people (an appetizer core value in my book). So, of course I'm considering the best appetizers to share.
- Uniqueness: I’m looking for dishes that aren’t common at other restaurants.
- Presentation because a winning app has to look appetizing, right?
- And flavor... at the end of the day, we’re here to eat, not sightsee.
Do note that Appetizers, Small Plates & Snacks, Bites, Skinnylicious Appetizers & Bites are separate categories inside the bible of The Cheesecake Factory. So, your favorite starter dish might be missing from this list if it sits in a different part of the menu. To be the most objective we will stick to the Appetizer category outlined by the Factory.
We are skipping Soup of the Day since it changes, and some dishes will have the same rank (example: Buffalo Wings and Strips) due to being basically the same dish. The Thai lettuce wraps also come in two sizes and two options (chicken or avocado) but we will add both sizes and options as one entry.

Building the Perfect App SpreadExpanding on the rules we set for this list, let's discuss how to build a perfect app spread.
In my ideal situation, I would know my main dish, so I could either get an app that pairs well with it or fulfills a craving my main dish does not. Like if my main doesn't have any cheese elements, I can get my fix with a cheese-forward app. You also want to be mindful of not repeating flavor profiles. For example, you don't want to get the Fried Mac and Cheese Balls if you plan on getting a big pasta dish. OK, maybe you do, Carb Queen, but I would encourage you to use an adventurous appetizer strategy.
While it should be socially acceptable to order several dishes for every course of a meal (again, it's just so hard to choose one slice of cheesecake), appetizers are a great way to explore a menu by ordering a few things, especially if you are enjoying a meal with multiple people. We all need more community right now! Especially one bonded by cheese dip.
But not all apps are created equally for sharing. You've got to keep one of the ranking factors in mind the most: how easy the app is to share. Part of that is how the dish is constructed, but also table shape, others' preferences and how messy that app is to enjoy.
Keeping all of this in mind, while using our guide, you should be all set to make your appetizer decision. So, now I hope you aren’t starving (because you’re about to be) as we rank 22 appetizers from The Cheesecake Factory and you'll discover the best ones you *have* to order.

The Quick Verdict: The 3 Best (and 3 Worst) AppetizersThe 'Must-Gets'
The 'Skips'
Eggroll Sampler (easy to share, unique to Cheesecake Factory, full of flavor, and not too filling)
Buffalo Wings/Strips (boring choice and too messy—not really the vibe you go to the Factory for)
Avocado Eggroll (a standout star that's not too filling, and it's easy to eat and flavorful)
Quesadilla (not a very interesting dish and one of the few Cheesecake Factory dishes that could be improved)
Thai Chili Shrimp (easy to share, full of flavor yet mild enough for a wide audience, and a fun dish)
Fried Calamari (it wasn't the best calamari I've had, so its a rare miss from the Cheesecake Factory)
The 'Must-Orders': Why These 6 Appetizers Are Worth the MoneyThe Cheesecake Factory
1. Eggroll Sampler“A Variety of All of Our Rolls with Avocado, Tex Mex, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Chicken Taquitos”
This should surprise absolutely no one as it is a favorite among those who frequent the Factory as they are classic Cheesecake Factory staples. My notes were: "Love her. Invite her to my wedding!"
I’ll go into flavor notes on the individual rankings of each eggroll, but they all are delicious. Together, they provide a nice selection of flavors and sauces. The textures of the rolls are perfectly crispy and are strong enough to dip without falling apart. They are super easy to share (though you may not want to).
This has earned its spot as the best Cheesecake Factory appetizer.
The Cheesecake Factory
2. Avocado Eggroll“Avocado, Sun-Dried Tomato, Red Onion and Cilantro, Fried in a Crisp Wrapper. Served with a Tamarind-Cashew Dipping Sauce”
As mentioned above, these rolls are constructed perfectly to be an app. I chose avocado as number two for a couple of reasons. It’s such a Cheesecake Factory staple with its unique yet widely beloved flavor profile. The avocado is somehow always the right amount of tenderness and temperature. None of the other flavors overpower it—instead, they bring out one another nicely and it's only enhanced with the Tamarind-cashew dipping sauce.
It's a flavorful app that won’t fill you up right away. Also, this is mostly veggies so it's basically like a salad and therefore “healthy.” I’m not a doctor.

3. Thai Chili Shrimp“Crispy Shrimp Tossed with Spicy Garlic Aioli”
I actually don’t like spicy food but the way I cannot stop thinking about this app has me putting it in the top three. The Cheesecake Factory does shrimp so well. I don’t know how they source their shrimp but it's always this great tender texture, is never rubbery and tastes fresh.
Even fried, these shrimp have a great bite to them. The batter is perfectly crispy which goes so well with the tender shrimp. The spice comes from the spicy garlic aioli sauce which is tangy, sweet, with some lingering heat. Even a non-spicey eater like myself really enjoyed it.
But if you have those non-spicy eaters at the table who don’t trust me (how dare they) and want to skip the sauce, you can have it on the side or have them go after the ones with less of the drizzle. I think they will still shine well on their own but definitely try it with the sauce.
"Spicy Chicken, Corn, Black Beans, Peppers, Onions and Melted Cheese. Served with Avocado Cream and Salsa”
When I told people I was making this ranking, many screamed “TEX MEX EGGROLLS” which I assume means they are particularly fond of this app. Can’t blame them. The avocado cream and salsa are such great soulmates to the eggrolls. They cool down the heat while adding a lovely fresh flavor. Their bite game is strong as you get to sample a little bit of everything with each chomp. They're easy to share and a great size for a starter.

5. Fried Mac and Cheese“Crispy Crumb Coated Macaroni and Cheese Balls. Served over a Creamy Marinara Sauce”
These are incredible. The decadent white cheddar cheese isn’t too sharp, and it’s perfectly creamy. The mac is a great size and shape. The outside has a crisp texture, which, honestly, helps to make it a little less messy. It also makes it easier to share. (Just make sure you get enough sauce.)
It’s a creamy vodka sauce that I would be tempted to sip like a soup. The dish actually didn't need it, as the mac could shine just on its own, but the Factory is so good at elevating a dish.

6. Poke Nachos“Crispy Wontons Covered with Hawaiian Style Ahi Tuna Poke, Avocado, Green Onion, Chiles, Sesame Seeds and Sriracha Aioli”
This is such a great way to do poke. Despite being a chain restaurant, CF is one of the few places I would trust to serve me raw fish. It’s fresh and not too fishy. The ginger spicy sauce made itself known but wasn't overpowering.
While nachos can be hit or miss for sharing (this will be discussed later), I feel like these are plated to be the perfect bites. It's a great sharing app that, again, is satisfying enough to get your meal started without being too filling.
The Cheesecake Factory
1. Pretzel Bites"Baked Soft and Warm with Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Whole Grain Mustard”
This maybe should be lower down on the list due to it being less unique, but what it lacks in creativity, it makes up for in quality.
I feel like we’ve all been burned before by an overcooked hot pretzel. You expected it to actually be soft and instead you get something that might as well be leather. These won’t hurt you. They will fill your mouth with a hug that heals any past pretzel trauma. They are soft, salty and a respectable amount of chewy.
Also the dip is incredible and a match made in heaven (AKA The Cheesecake Factory’s in-restaurant kitchen).
“Ahi Tuna on Crispy Sushi Rice with Ginger and Green Onion”
Another one that really has 10/10 plating. The fresh tuna is flavorful but does not have too much spice. I’m not a spicy girl and I was still about to enjoy these. The crispy sushi rice was done well and had great texture. I’ve seen this dish at other restaurants but I like how this one you didn’t have to put the tuna on yourself. At the Factory, you don’t have to work.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
3. Roadside Sliders“Bite-Sized Burgers on Mini-Buns Served with Grilled Onions, Pickles and Ketchup”
I really fell in love with these and I’m not sure why since they are a rather basic app. I think it was the way these were nailed so correctly. They had a slight Manwich vibe which was welcomed. The pickles are fantastic but make sure to add to your slider before digging in. Also, the bun is so airy and soft.
The Cheesecake Factory
4. Chicken Pot Stickers"Asian Dumplings Pan-Fried in the Classic Tradition. Served with Our Soy-Ginger Sesame Sauce”
Kind of an app you wouldn't expect from The CF but they actually do a good job nailing it. They all have an ideal crispy bottom (everyone’s dream) and do a lovely job on the dumpling part. The soy-ginger sauce does its job well, and brings the dish home.

5. Buffalo Blasts“Chicken, Cheese and Our Spicy Buffalo Sauce all Stuffed in a Spiced Wrapper and Fried until Crisp. Served with Celery Sticks and Blue Cheese Dressing”
These are great fun. A very unique concept and new way to experience “buffalo wings.” I know buffalo wing fans are picky but I think any of them would like this. I feel like you get more meat than you would from a bucket of wings while keeping your fingers slightly more clean. And it has a great crispy bite.
They are actually dippable unlike those horizontal buffalo wings. Which is good as it comes with a great buffalo sauce. And you can share this easily without getting sauced up.

6. Crab Dip“A Delicious Blend of Crab, Artichokes and Creamy Cheese Served Warm with Fresh Baked Crostini”
I wish I could sit in a tub of this and just let my body slowly sink into crab bits. A lovely creamy dip with a mild crab flavor. There’s no imitation crab here either. There’s an old bay type seasoning note that adds to the flavor profile so it doesn’t just rely on the cheese and crab to do all the work.
For the dipper (or shovel if you're like me) you have buttery toasted bread. I appreciate the added care to add butter so it still has some flavor to it while letting the dip shine. There was also a good amount of bread so you had a good ratio of dip to crostini. Dips are trickier to share especially if you have a germaphobe in your group, though this dip could easily be scooped onto a plate to dip.

7. Ahi Tuna and Shrimp Ceviche“Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna and Shrimp Tossed with Green Onion, Cilantro and Lime Juice. Served on Avocado with Crispy Corn Tortillas”
I love how this is plated but it is lower on the list because the sharability is a bit harder. It just takes one fool to mess it up. But its flavor profile is what saves it. The cilantro oil, red onion, red pepper and heat in the sauce play together nicely, giving it a medium soft kick depending on how well blended together it is. The shrimp are large and the tuna is fresh. Plus, I love the big chips to share it with.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
8. Sweet Corn Tamales“Topped with Sour Cream, Salsa, Cilantro, Avocado and Salsa Verde”
Delicious sweet corn flavor. A great comfort food to start your meal. It had the perfect amount of heat with its green salsa. The plating of this dish really takes the (cheese)cake. We love a theme.
It’s a little harder to share with the odd number of tamales but you can always split the last one in half and then fight over which side is actually bigger. Though it is a little messy, getting the right bite of all the flavors is worth having a napkin close.
The Cheesecake Factory
9. Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip“Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Shallots, Garlic, and a Mixture of Cheeses Served Bubbly Hot with Tortilla Chips and Salsa. Enough for Two”
This is another very common appetizer, but I think The Cheesecake Factory gets it right. Herby and cheesy. Each dip provides a delicious journey through some of everyone’s favorite foods. Though it does lose points for being “enough for two.” I want apps to be shareable for a slightly larger group.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
1. & 2. Thai Lettuce Wraps: Chicken and Avocado“Create Your Own Thai Lettuce Rolls! Satay Chicken Strips, Carrots, Bean Sprouts, Coconut Curry Noodles and Lettuce Leaves with Three Delicious Spicy Thai Sauces – Peanut, Sweet Red Chili and Tamarind-Cashew”
Probably my hottest take on this list. This app is so, so good. The flavor profile is like no other with the green cilantro cashew sweet oil, a perfect amount of peanut and sweet spices, a light char on the chicken and cold noodles with a nice sesame flavor.
So why is it ranked under the skips? Well, in my opinion, it makes for a terrible table app. This diva is MESSY, which we love, but I think she is too hard to share. Our waiter even warned us and brought out wet wipes before her arrival (we love an entrance).
Courtesy Devon Sherer
I think she has full-entree potential, honestly. Especially since it took me a few tries to get the perfect mix of the ingredients. If I was sharing, I would have had fewer chances to get it right. I would have been slightly upset with whoever I was sharing with if they took too much of something, reached for the same thing as me, thus slowing me down, or saw how much delicious sauce I got on myself (even though I’m well into my adult years).
Another hot take: Get this one to go. It hit so hard as leftovers in the comfort of my home when I was in full goblin mode.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
3. Nachos"Crisp Tortilla Chips Covered with Melted Cheeses, Guacamole, Red Chile Sauce, Sour Cream, Jalapeños, Green Onions and Salsa”
These are nachos done almost-right. The cheese underneath makes sure each chip is doing its job and not one is naked (though they're not as loaded as I would like them to be). The guacamole is mild, which I liked but heat lovers will enjoy the red chile sauce. There’s a good portion of veggies on it and while it lacks a major protein, I think that's good for an app.
I’ve always found nachos hard to share, though. Someone always ends up with a nacho that has half of the toppings on it. At least there's enough cheese to go around.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
4. Fried Calamari“Fried Light and Crisp. Served with Garlic Dip and Cocktail Sauce”
It has a softer crunch on the outside than some calamari I’ve had. It does have a good amount of salt and pepper that plays well with the breading. I think the inside also has the perfect amount of tender and chewy texture I look for in calamari.
It’s a perfectly fine choice but there’s stronger, more unique options at The Cheesecake Factory. Plus, it is always hard to keep track if you’ve taken too many or too little when sharing.
Courtesy Devon Sherer
5. Quesadilla“Grilled Flour Tortilla Filled with Melted Cheese, Green Onions and Chiles. Garnished with Guacamole, Salsa and Sour Cream”
This is here for your weird uncle who needs his comfort food. Like, I respect her but it’s still going at the bottom of this list. A mild cheese with lightly grilled tortillas, it's not doing anything exciting which, again is fine. This is needed on the menu for some.
The guacamole also has a nice small amount of heat to balance the more mild flavors. I personally don't love the chilies, though they add a nice additional flavor. I would have preferred a red pepper or to skip it. I think those who are ordering this are the type to skip the peppers anyway. I told this to the chef who swung by my table (if you order 14 apps in one sitting, you’re going to get some attention) and he agreed. He had some suggestions for it that he’s hoping to pitch to the top. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this get an upgrade in a future menu update.
The Cheesecake Factory
6. & 7. Buffalo Wings/Strips“Fried Wings Covered in Hot Sauce and Served with Blue Cheese Dressing and Celery Sticks”
Look, they are Buffalo wings. They are good but lack uniqueness, they are messy, and while easy to share, we all have to admit we look crazy while eating them. So why are we eating these in front of other people? Plus, eventually you get a pile of bones on the plate. And there’s always one friend who leaves too much meat on the bone. They should pay for the whole app as punishment, but you’ll never bring it up. Also it comes with the most boring vegetable on the planet, celery! Who invited her?

Hopefully, this helps you order with confidence, whether you’re eating at The Cheesecake Factory with a hot date you’re trying to impress, or a group of friends who are waiting to really spill on the latest gossip, but only after the orders are placed. Macy’s Tanzanite Bracelet Has Old-Hollywood Sparkle Without the 4-Figure Price
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you’ve been waiting for a fine-jewelry deal that looks as impressive as the discount, this one knocks more than $700 off a colorful classic. Macy’s6-Carat Tanzanite Tennis Bracelet is currently on sale for just $412, down from $1,149. It features a continuous row of oval-cut violet-blue gemstones in one sterling silver finish. The bracelet measures 7 inches long, giving it the traditional proportions of a tennis bracelet with a much more vibrant appearance.
The bracelet has a total of 6 carats of tanzanite, with each stone set in its own silver setting. It includes a box-lock clasp that blends into the line of gems and helps keep the bracelet secured around the wrist. As an added bonus, Macy’s also offers complimentary jewelry cleaning at participating stores, although the service doesn’t include repairs.
6-Carat Tanzanite Tennis Bracelet, $412 (was $1,149) at Macy’s Shop at Macy'sWhat makes this bracelet especially unique is tanzanite’s unusually specific origin story. According to the Gemological Institute of America, the gemstone is only commercially mined in the Merelani Hills of northern Tanzania, unlike many stones that come from several regions around the world. Tanzanite is also very pleochroic, which means it can reveal different blue, violet, and purple tones as the bracelet moves and catches the light from different angles.
One reviewer called the bracelet “gorgeous” and said it was “just what I wanted.” The same buyer noted that it runs large, which is helpful since the bracelet comes in only one length. Measuring your wrist before ordering can give you a better idea of how loosely the 7-inch design may sit. Just keep in mind that Macy’s doesn’t accept returns on jewelry once it’s been altered.
If you plan on cleaning the bracelet yourself, the Gemological Institute of America recommends using warm, soapy water and avoiding ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Taking it off before exercising, cleaning, or completing hands-on chores can also reduce unnecessary contact with hard surfaces, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to wear the bracelet regularly.

2010 Film by an Acclaimed Director Gets Crowned the Greatest Psychological Action Movie of All Time
While most action movies have very straightforward plots, some of the best within the genre leave audiences completely mind-blown by the story. For instance, in July 2026, Collider published a ranking of the "10 greatest psychological action movies of all time" that highlighted cerebral and thrilling films, like the 1995 animated filmGhost in the Shell, Total Recall from 1990, and 1999's The Matrix.
Collider named 2010's Inception, directed and written by prolific filmmaker Christopher Nolan, as the "greatest psychological action movie" ever made.
The film, which snagged an Oscar nomination for Best Picture in 2011, has a score of 86 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 74 on Metacritic.
Christopher Nolan Discussed the Film's Premise & Leonardo DiCaprio's Performance in a 2010 InterviewIn a 2010 interview with Collider, Nolan discussed penning the film, which focuses on individuals known as extractors, who have dream-inception technology. He explained that dreams have been a source of fascination for him.
"The idea that has always fascinated me about dreams is the realization that everything within that dream is created by your own mind as you experience it. And it's that peculiar relationship between the creative part of imagining a world, imagining someone talking to you, and then the realization that as you absorb that world, you're not aware of the fact that you've actually created it," said the Odyssey director.
Nolan went on to say that he believes "what [dreams] say about the potential of the human mind is quite extraordinary."
"Inception is intended to be a film that tries to explore the exciting possibilities of what that says about the human mind and the infinite potential of the human mind," continued Nolan in the 2010 interview.
In addition, Nolan said he believesLeonardo DiCaprio's portrayal of Dom Cobb is what grounds the film.
"I think Leo's performance is extraordinary in the film, and I think that when I look at the finished film, it seems essential that that extraordinary performance be the focus for the audience, be the guide for the audience. I think otherwise it would be very easy to get lost in the world of Inception," said Nolan during the Collider interview. "I think it's very important to have that point of focus for the audience's sympathy and the audience's attention. I think Leo provides that in an incredibly moving way."
Marvel Shockingly Cancels an Already Renewed Disney+ Series
It’s often difficult just getting a streaming network to renew a show after the first season. Yet, Disney+ quickly renewed Wonder Man for a second season, following a strong debut and resounding support from the critics.
So, what happened? Why would Marvel cancel one of its own shows after such a success? It turns out that the writers’ room for Wonder Man Season 2 was never opened, but the reason for that was never shared when Variety broke the news. All the writers have been released to work on other projects, and there are many other Marvel shows and movies in the works.
The benefit of the Marvel universe is that the shows and movies are all interconnected. This allows for characters from this ill-fated show to turn up if the storyline allows and the schedules can be worked out. Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is currently in the works and slated for a 2027 release, and VisionQuest is a series slated for a 2026 release.
Created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, Wonder Man debuted in January 2026 to rave reviews. It currently holds a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics, with many people grateful that the show took a slightly different approach to the rest of the MCU. There’s more humor and snark to Wonder Man, creating a different feel that connects to more people watching TV.
There were some questions about the success of the show at first. Disney+ doesn’t release any of its viewership data, and the series only spent a week in the Top 10 on the platform during the week of its release. That led to concerns that it would be canceled, but Disney+ pleasantly surprised everyone with the renewal in March 2026.
It’s not like Wonder Man didn’t get any attention during the Emmy nominations, either. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, making it clear that The Powers That Be are watching!
It’s possible that the cancellation is linked to budget concerns, but even that doesn’t work in Marvel’s favor to shelve this project. Out of all the shows and movies, this one needed the least graphics and post-production work that would cost millions of dollars, so it would have been best to keep for potential low-budget success.
The world of the MCU will continue to grow. Cretton will continue to work within the MCU, especially after his work as director on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He is expected to work on a movie featuring Nurato, and there are also talks of more movies featuring your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The end of the year will also see Avengers: Doomsday, and there are plans for movies focused on Ghost Rider and Shang-Chi.
Walmart's Elegant Table Lamp Has 'Convenient' Built-in Charging Ports That Keep Nightstands Clutter-Free

A great table lamp does more than brighten a room — it can make your everyday routine feel a little easier. Choosing one with thoughtful features like adjustable lighting, built-in charging, and a space-saving design helps cut down on clutter while creating a cozy atmosphere for reading, relaxing, or winding down at the end of the day. When it also complements your decor, it's the kind of upgrade you'll appreciate every time you switch it on.
You don't have to spend a fortune to get those features, either. The Gvdv Home Table Lamp is currently on sale for 35% off at Walmart with a limited-time flash deal, bringing the price down from $46 to just $30. It's a value-packed pick that combines form and function.
Gvdv Home Table Lamp, $30 (was $46) at Walmart Shop at WalmartOne of this lamp's standout features is the dual-light design. It has a main light for everyday tasks like reading or working, plus a separate night light in the base that creates a softer glow for relaxing before bed or getting up in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone else. Each light is controlled independently with its own touch switch.
The lamp also helps reduce cord clutter thanks to built-in USB-A and USB-C charging ports. You can charge phones, tablets, earbuds, and other devices whether the lamp is turned on or off, making it especially handy on a bedside table or home office desk.
Lighting is easy to customize with touch controls on the lamp's base. The main light offers three brightness levels of 25%, 75%, and 100%, while the night light features three color temperatures ranging from warm to cool. The flicker-free, glare-free lighting is designed to be comfortable on the eyes, and it's compatible with a standard E26 bulb.
The design is just as appealing as the functionality. An ivory textured base paired with a classic pleated lampshade gives it an elevated look that works with everything from modern to traditional decor. It feels timeless while still looking fresh.
Measuring 17.5 inches tall, the lamp is compact enough for smaller nightstands, side tables, desks, or apartment spaces where every inch counts. Despite its smaller footprint, it still provides plenty of light for everyday use.
One reviewer shared, “It's the perfect size for my nightstand. It doesn’t take up too much space, and it lights up the room with three kinds of lighting. This is an awesome buy with a great price.” Another shopper wrote, “The design is simple and blends in well, and the USB ports are really convenient for charging devices overnight. The controls are easy to use, and the brightness levels are useful for both reading and a softer night light.”

Whatever Happened To Steve From 'Blue's Clues'?
The striped green shirt, the big red chair, the oversized crayons and the endlessly jolly persona—via the beloved Nick Jr. series Blue's Clues, actor-musician Steve Burns helped create one of the most iconic children's TV characters of the 1990s and 2000s, akin to Mister Rogers, Ms. Racheland the like.
"With pie-plate eyes and a full spectrum of affirming thumbs-up gestures, Steve is a Candide for the millennium, fending off cynicism and teaching children that needing to be clued in is cool," The New York Times' Julie V. Iovine wrote of the television star back in 1998.
Steve Burns hosted the daytime kids' show—and earned an Emmy nomination in the process—from 1996 to 2002, before his shocking departure in the program's fourth season. In the two decades since his television breakthrough, Burns has largely been living under the radar, though he's returned to the limelight, and to the Blue's Clues world, in more recent years.
With Blue's Clues celebrating its big 30th anniversary this year, let's catch up with its original host Steve Burns and find out what the TV icon has been up to since leaving the Nick Jr. show.
Why did Steve Burns get kicked off Blue's Clues?Steve Burns didn't get fired from Blue's Clues — he voluntarily chose to leave the program after hosting for four seasons. Along with feeling that he was getting too old for the children's show (by the time he departed the series, the performer was 28 years old and self-admittedly balding), Burns has also revealed that he was suffering from mental-health troubles during his Blue's Clues run.
“I didn’t know it yet, but I was the happiest depressed person in North America,” he told Varietyin 2022. “I was struggling with severe clinical depression the whole time I was on that show. It was my job to be utterly and completely full of joy and wonder at all times, and that became impossible.” He added: “After I left Blue’s Clues, there was a long period of healing.”

What was Steve's last episode of Blue's Clues?Burns' final episode hosting Blue's Clues was Episode 14 of Season 4, entitled "Steve Goes to College," which originally aired on Nick Jr. on April 29, 2002. As the episode title suggests, the installment sees Burns' character Steve announce that he is leaving to attend college and that his brother Joe will move in to look after his beloved pup Blue (voiced by Blue's Clues co-creator Traci Paige Johnson).
Who replaced Steve on Blue's Clues? After Burns departed Blue's Clues, Donovan Patton took over hosting duties as Steve's younger brother Joe from 2002 to 2006. Later, when the children's show was revived in 2019 as Blue's Clues & You, Josh Dela Cruz took over as the new era's host; that series ran for five seasons from November 2019 to September 2024.

How much did Steve Burns get paid for Blue's Clues? Not nearly enough, according to Burns! Though nowadays the performer reportedly has a healthy net worth of $5 million (per Celebrity Net Worth). In a September 2025 interview on the Fail Better With David Duchovny podcast, Burns, 51, revealed that he almost left Blue’s Clues early on because he wasn’t paid fairly.
“The truth is for the first couple of seasons of that show, I wouldn’t have been able to do it except I had this voiceover thing going on, so it was my side hustle at first…while they were making a billion dollars,” Burns shared.
“They were making so much money,” he added. “We were the number one kids’ show in many, many countries for a while. We were beating Sesame Street, and we had a ton of merch. And I would kind of say, ‘You know, I believe I’m one of the pillars of the success of the show. I think that’s fair to say. And I can’t afford to live in New York City. That doesn’t seem right to me.’”

What does Steve Burns do now?Though he broke out in a TV show for kids, these days Steve Burns is busy making content for adults—hold up, not that kind of adult content. Burns currently hosts a video podcast for grownups called Alive, which he launched in September 2025.
“There are a thousand podcasts you can listen to, this is one that listens back. I really want to continue what we started decades ago," Burns explained in a statement, per Deadline. "For us, it was all about curious investigation. It was about looking a little closer. About asking the right questions. About following the clues that helped lead us toward greater understanding. Alive is really just a continuation of that same conversation — only now we’re grown-ups, trying to make sense of a world that’s a whole lot more complicated. We’re still searching, still learning, still trying to connect. Still doing our best to lead deeply examined lives, together. And, you know, there’ll be less talking furniture, sure, but we’re still going to have a lot of fun along the way.”
Along with the podcast, Burns is very active across social media (he has 3.6 million followers over on TikTok and another 843,000 on Instagram), where he posts comforting and inspirational videos.

Did Steve Burns ever marry? No, Steve Burns never married, though there has been a persistent if silly rumor that the former Blue's Clues host was secretly married to Alyson Court, who you might remember from playing Loonette the Clown on fellow classic kids' show The Big Comfy Couch. The pair are just friends, as Court is married to comic book writer Z.M. Thomas.
Does Steve Burns have children? No, Steve Burns does not have children of his own. The performer keeps his personal life pretty private these days, though it has been reported that he currently lives near the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York.

Country Star Abruptly Cancels International Shows, Announces Touring Break to Focus On ‘Important Family Matters’
Bailey Zimmerman has canceled the summer run of his United Kingdom and European tour dates to focus on “important family matters.”
With 10 shows on the books, the country music superstar’s international leg was supposed to launch on August 27 in Glasgow, U.K., and wrap on September 12 in Oslo, Norway, but those plans have changed.

On Thursday, July 30, Zimmerman, 26, took to Instagram to announce the cancellation of the run, but made clear that his decision was not an easy one.
View this post on Instagram“I wanted to let you all know personally that I unfortunately have to cancel my UK/Europe shows,” he wrote his message to fans and followers against a plain black background. “This was not an easy decision, and it kills me to have to cancel because I know how excited everyone is… but right now I need to take this time to focus on important family matters.”
Zimmerman didn’t specify what exact family matters he was referring to, but he did reassure fans that “Everything is okay, it’s just my family needs my attention, and that’s what I’ve gotta do.”
The “Rock and a Hard Place” singer still has a few U.S. shows left on his calendar, according to his official website, with dates in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Illinois. And he let fans who purchased tickets to those concerts know that he will perform those shows as planned.
“I will still be playing my shows in North America in August, but after that I will be taking some time to focus on me, my family and new music. Once again, I’m so sorry to everybody that has waited so long… I hope y’all can understand that my family has to come first,” he wrote. “Thank you for having my back on this crazy ride we call life. Love y’all so much.”
The announcement comes just weeks after Zimmerman faced a fourth-degree felony charge stemming from alleged property damage at a New Mexico hotel. According to People, an arrest warrant was issued on June 18, but the criminal charge was later dropped after he made full restitution.
Zimmerman isn’t the only artist this year to have taken time off from the spotlight. Justin Moore, Kacey Musgraves, Colter Wall, and Chase Rice are among some of the stars who canceled or paused tour dates in 2026.

1974 Rock Song, With 18-Year-Old Singer, Is Still a Powerful Hit 52 Years Later
When the Bay City Rollers released "Shang-a-Lang" in 1974, the Scottish band was still on the verge of its biggest breakthrough.
Fronted by Les McKeown, who was just 18 years old at the time, the infectious glam rock anthem quickly established the group as one of Britain's brightest young acts. More than five decades later, it remains one of the songs most closely associated with the band's enduring legacy.
"Shang-a-Lang" arrived at a pivotal moment in the Rollers' career.
McKeown had recently joined the lineup, bringing a charismatic stage presence and distinctive voice that helped transform the band's fortunes. The singer would soon become the face of the Bay City Rollers during their rise to international stardom, leading the group through its most successful years.
"'Shang-A-Lang' was my attempt to combine the Brill Building songwriting factory in New York and the sound of the Glasgow shipyards," songwriter Bill Marin told The Guardian. "I went to school with Alex Ferguson, and we had to work in the shipyards because our parents would say: 'Don't have any daydreams.' I'd wanted to be a songwriter since I was 10, though, and the noise from the shipyards stuck with me."
The song's irresistible energy immediately connected with listeners.
Built around a driving beat, handclaps, and an instantly memorable chorus, "Shang-a-Lang" captured the youthful exuberance that became the band's trademark. Its feel-good spirit also made it a perfect fit for the glam rock movement that was sweeping the UK in the early 1970s.
The single became one of the band's first major successes.
Released in 1974, “Shang-a-Lang” reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, helping pave the way for an extraordinary run of hits that included "Summerlove Sensation," "Bye Bye Baby," "Give a Little Love," and "Saturday Night." Within just a few years, the Bay City Rollers had become an international phenomenon, inspiring "Rollermania" wherever they performed.
"'Shang-A-Lang' is my favorite Rollers song," said Martin. "It should have been No 1, but was kept off the top spot by the Rubettes."
Although the group would go on to achieve even greater commercial success, "Shang-a-Lang" has remained a fan favorite.
"It simply felt like my whole teenage world was exploding," McKeown told UK Music Reviewsin 2018. "I always thought of it as being a super adventure traveling the world having girlfriends of every nationality. I was on top of the world. I always thought that every single young boy should have this experience They should have been allowed to spend at least a year in the Bay City Rollers world. Britain would have been a far happier nation."
The song continues to appear on classic hits compilations and is still celebrated for its infectious melody and singalong chorus. For many listeners, it represents the moment the Bay City Rollers found the sound that would define their career.
More than 50 years after its release, "Shang-a-Lang" remains one of glam rock's most joyful recordings. With an 18 year-old Les McKeown at the microphone, the song captured the excitement of a young band on the cusp of worldwide fame and it continues to bring that same energy to audiences today.

These 4 Birth Dates Are the Best Communicators & Always Know What to Say
We all know someone who always seems to have the exact right words for any and every situation. They’re the friend who has thoughtful advice, eases tension with humor, or makes you feel seen with the most genuine, heartfelt compliment. Could communication styles be written in the stars? In numerology, certain birth dates are believed to make it easier to know what to say, helping people connect, inspire, and build trust through their conversational and language skills. Here are four birth dates that always seem to know exactly what to say in any circumstance, according to birth date numerology and astrology.
Which Birth Dates Have a Way With Words?Check for your birth date and disregard birth months.
Born on the 2nd: The Compassionate ListenerRuled by the Moon, the celestial body that governs feelings and intuition, people born on the 2nd know exactly what to say due to their high emotional intelligence. They are very sensitive and highly attuned to micro-expressions, body language, and even the most subtle shifts in tone, allowing them to tailor their words to comfort, de-escalate, or give whatever is needed in a situation. And even more important than knowing what to say, they know when to hold back their opinions or advice and offer support simply by listening. Sometimes the greatest comfort comes from being heard in a space that feels safe and judgment-free.
The 5th: The Fun ConverserPeople born on the 5th of any month always have the perfect response to everything. Ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, they think quickly, speak confidently, and nothing rattles them. They have probably heard it all before yet remain open to being surprised! Whether they’re breaking the ice with a stranger, calming an awkward moment with humor, or explaining something with ease, they can talk their way through or out of any situation. This is a group that wants to learn about everyone, so they ask great questions and provide even better answers. They are charismatic, curious, and quick-thinking, making a conversation with them feel like a fun adventure.
The 15th: The Heartfelt ComplimenterNo one knows how to make someone feel appreciated quite like those born on the 15th of any month. Whether they’re celebrating a friend’s accomplishment, encouraging a loved one through a difficult season, or offering a sincere compliment, their words feel genuine and heartfelt. Reducing to the loving, harmonious number 6, this group is kind and affectionate in their communication style and love to express their appreciation for others. Because they lead with their hearts, people leave conversations with a 15th-born feeling more confident, supported, and valued than they did before. Sometimes it’s not so much what you say but how you say it when the feelings behind the words have such a strong impact.
The 22nd: The Trusted AdvisorWhen someone born on the 22nd speaks, people pay attention! Master Number 22 is known as the “Master Builder,” a number associated with turning big ideas into reality. Because of this, they’re known for offering good advice, practical solutions, and an unbiased greater perspective. The added influence of reducing to the stable number 4 adds a practical, no-nonsense filter into the mix, meaning they cut through the fluff to offer direct support that’s actually helpful. They understand the power of their words and won’t just tell others what they want to hear; instead, they tell them what will actually be helpful, making their words feel both reassuring and inspiring.

'70s Rock Legend and Member of Iconic Rock Band Turns 80
A short-lived music career became an unforgettable part of progressive rock history.
Jeffrey Hammond, the former bassist for Jethro Tull, celebrates his 80th birthday on July 30. Although he spent only five years with the group, Hammond played on several of its most important albums and brought an unmistakable personality to its classic '70s lineup.
Born in Blackpool, England, in 1946, Hammond met future Jethro Tull members Ian Anderson, John Evan and Barriemore Barlow while attending school. The young musicians played together in the Blades, though Hammond eventually stepped away from music to study painting.
His friendship with Anderson continued, and Hammond inspired several early Jethro Tull songs before formally joining the group. "A Song for Jeffrey," "Jeffrey Goes to Leicester Square" and "For Michael Collins, Jeffrey and Me" were all written before he became Jethro Tull's bassist.
Anderson persuaded Hammond to join the group in January 1971, despite his limited professional experience. He replaced Glenn Cornick and immediately took part in one of the strongest periods of Jethro Tull's career.
Hammond appeared on Aqualung, released in 1971, followed by Thick as a Brick, A Passion Play, War Child and Minstrel in the Gallery. Thick as a Brick reached No. 5 on the U.K. albums chart and became one of the group's best-known releases.
His contributions also went beyond bass. Hammond narrated "The Story of the Hare Who Lost His Spectacles" on A Passion Play and shared writing credit on the piece with Anderson and Evan. Onstage, he became recognizable for wearing a black-and-white striped suit while playing a matching bass guitar.
Hammond left Jethro Tull in 1975 and returned to painting, a decision that ultimately ended his career as a performing musician. Looking back decades later, he said touring had been "fabulously exciting," but his desire to pursue art never disappeared.
"I enjoyed it for five years, but inside I knew I wanted to paint, to learn to paint," Hammond recalled. "And that's what I have been doing all these years. Learning."
Hammond has since lived quietly as an artist in Blackpool, making only occasional non-performing appearances connected to Jethro Tull. As he turns 80, his work remains preserved across a run of albums that helped secure the group's place among the most distinctive rock acts of the '70s.

The US Government Just Banned Almost All of This Household Tech Essential (And Yes, It Affects Major Brands)
If you’re a household that relies on smart technology, then you’re not going to like the latest change. That’s especially true for those who use the Roomba or other robot vacuum cleaners.
At first, the US recent robotic ban seemed to cover humanoid robots. However, they’re not the only ones at risk. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has put a ban on any new foreign-made humanoid robot imports. That includes robots that you’re already using in your home.
This ban is going to affect any type of device that is “capable of locomotion, obstacle avoidance, navigation, or movement on the ground.” In other words, it affects every single robot vacuum out there, as well as robotic lawnmowers, delivery bots, and many other devices that have started to become parts of our everyday lives. Look, if you have huskies, you know how valuable those vacuums are!
Anything previously sold in the United States is okay to still use. They will still be sold, and you won’t need to hand over your current devices to some unknown entity. However, getting fixes could be a little more difficult, depending on how the ban is put in place.
In short, getting new Roombas is going to be a lot more difficult. The FCC ban is on anything imported from outside of the United States. It’s not just aimed at the robots themselves, but also their docking stations if they are more than 4.4lbs in weight. On top of that, the software that runs them, whether locally or remotely, and any AI or machine-learning models weights will need to come from inside the country.
What’s the deal with the ban? It’s all linked to the risk of weaponizing technology. The FCC is worried that “foreign-produced advanced robotic devices could be weaponized to directly harm U.S. national security and U.S. persons.”
The news hits just as Roomba has announced new robotic vacuum cleaners for the year, and some of them are exciting additions to the home. iRobot, the company behind the named machine, is focused on making more slimmed-down versions, and there are more being released with a vacuum and mop feature that can be used at the same time.
There is a sort of workaround for this, as companies can ask for a waiver. The FCC wants to know where the devices will be made and tested, and there will be a requirement to eventually move the production and testing to the United States.
None of this sounds entirely clear, and the companies are scratching their heads as well. According to Tom’s Guide, the major robot vacuum brands, including iRobot and Anker, have shared that they are looking at getting clarification on what the changes will mean for them. What they do understand is that anything they currently have can remain on sale and will be in no way affected, and then they will share updates with their customers.
For now, this only affects the United States. It will be interesting to see if other countries bring in similar bans. The consensus right now is to use your Roomba or other robotic device as you usually would.
Nobel Prize-Winning Novel, Published in 1967, Was Just Named the Greatest Book of the Last 100 Years
Given that the enjoyment of literature is largely subjective, even if the quality of the author's prose is objectively good, it's a nearly impossible task to narrow down what can be considered the most masterful books. However, the publication Colliderrecently released a list of "the 10 greatest books of the last 100 years," which highlighted acclaimed works of fiction spanning the past 10 decades, such as 1985's The Handmaid's Taleby Margaret Atwood, The Color Purple by Alice Walker from 1982, 1960's To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and Babel, or the Necessity of Violence by R.F. Kuang, published in 2022.
According to Collider, Gabriel García Márquez's 1967 novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude, which was the winner of the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature, took home the July 30 list's top spot. One Hundred Years of Solitude has a rating of 4.12 out of 5 from 1,139,917 readers on Goodreads.
Gabriel García Márquez Shared Details About Writing 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'Following the death of García Márquez in 2014 at the age of 87, Democracy Now! shared a clip of the author being celebrated for One Hundred Years of Solitude reaching the milestone of 1 million copies sold. During his speech, García Márquez shared details about how he wrote the beloved novel, which is punctuated by magical moments.
He explained that he had already published four books before he started working on One Hundred Years of Solitude "when [he] was 38 years old." He recalled typing the book's powerful opening line, "Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice," which he said he "had no idea of the meaning nor the origin of that phrase or where it was leading [him]."
"What I know today is that I did not stop writing for a single day for 18 straight months until I finished the book," said the Colombian author.
In addition, García Márquez shared that he and his wife, Mercedes Barcha, who died in 2020 when she was 87, were struggling financially while he was working on his 1967 novel.
"What could be the topic of an even better book would have been how we survived. Mercedes and I with our two children during that time when I did not gain a dime anywhere. I don't even know how Mercedes managed during those months to not miss a single day's food in the house," said García Márquez during his speech.
García Márquez also shared that he and Barcha tried to mail his One Hundred Years of Solitude manuscript "at the beginning of August 1966." However, the couple soon realized they couldn't afford to mail the entire piece of literature to the publisher.
"The postal employee put the package on the scale, made his mental calculations, and said, 'It will cost 82 pesos,'" said the late author. "Mercedes counted the bills and loose change she had left in her purse and faced reality. We only have 53. We opened the package. We divided into two equal parts and sent one part to Buenos [Aires], without even asking how we were going to get the money to send the rest. Only later did we realize that we had not sent the first part but the last."
He went on to say that the publisher was "eager to read the first half of the book" and "sent [them] the money [they] needed to send the first part."
"That was how we came to be born in our lives today," concluded García Márquez.
Zendaya Gets Real About a Struggle Many Young Black Women Face on Set
Zendaya has earned a reputation for being unafraid to take risks, and that extends well beyond her film roles. In 2024, she even switched up her hair colors to showcase her very different characters in Dune: Part Two and Challengers.
"I had to figure out how I would differentiate between the two red carpets and make them feel really different," she told Vogue. "That’s why we decided to go blonde—I had never been blonde before."
Overcoming On-Set Hair DamageAnd she's continued to get more daring with her hairstyles. While promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day for the past week, she's sported a wavy, long blowout; a ponytail with slicked-down bangs; and long, straight hair with blunt baby bangs. However, while she loves experimenting with her hair now, she admitted she had to fix the damage first, after years on shows like Disney's Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover.
View this post on Instagram"When I was younger, I was on television, and I had an experience I think a lot of young women, especially young Black women, go through, which was not really understanding how to care for it on set and not having the right kind of people looking after my curls.”
The Struggle for InclusivityZendaya is far from the only actress who's spoken out about the frustrations of working with stylists who don't know how to style Black hair. In 2022, her Euphoria co-star, Storm Reid, explained her own experience.
"It has been a struggle for me specifically on sets when it comes to the hair disparity and people not just knowing how to deal with Black hair," Reid told PEOPLE. "In a way, it feels dehumanizing… when it's time for your hair to look nice and there's nobody on set to be able to help you achieve that. They really just don't understand Black hair care. It's disheartening and it's heartbreaking."
Resilience and ReclamationZendaya’s hair journey is a testament to both resilience and reclamation. By setting firm boundaries, surrounding herself with experts who understand her hair's needs, and fearlessly experimenting with new looks, she isn't just protecting her natural curl. She's inspiring a broader, much-needed shift toward inclusivity and proper care in Hollywood's beauty industry.

1943 Novella, Written During World War II, Named Among Books That 'Everyone Should Read At Least Once' on Goodreads
There are some books that leave such a lasting impression, they stay with readers long after the final page has been turned. A great example of one of these books is The Little Prince, a beloved novella that has captivated readers for generations and continues to earn recognition as one of literature's most essential works, more than eight decades since its publication.
Written by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupery during World War II, The Little Prince was published in 1943 and tells the story of a pilot who is stranded in the Sahara Desert and meets a young extraterrestrial boy — who is also a prince. The prince shares tales of his small home asteroid, his travels to other planets, and his unlikely friendship with a wise fox on Earth.
The short story is highly regarded as one of the best books of all time, with Goodreads readers voting it as one of the "books that everyone should read at least once".
On the social book-sharing website, The Little Prince has earned an average rating of 4.34 out of five stars, with many book lovers sharing praise for the novella.
"This is my seventh time to reread and enjoy the little prince’s thought provoking, sad, poetic, nostalgic, powerful, emotional journey to the world," wrote Goodreads user Nilufer Ozmekik. "Nearly 80 years later from its first release it still addresses to your heart, giving its important social criticism messages and also it gives you hope about friendship, childhood, life. That’s why after all these years the book is still cherished by both adults and young generations."
The Little Prince has been taken from page to screen several times, and in 2015, it was adapted into an animated film, which was acquired by Netflix in the United States with an all-star voice cast including Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, and Mackenzie Foy.
Becoming a massive hit with audiences around the world, the 2015 movie won the coveted César Award for Best Animated Film in 2016 and, in 2017, the BAFTA Kids Award in the Feature Film category.
Glen Hansard's Final Performance Came Hours Before His Death
Oscar-winning musician and Once star Glen Hansard spent his final hours doing what he loved most: making music.
Just hours before the Irish singer-songwriter was killed in a motorcycle crash in Dublin in the early morning of Wednesday, July 29, Hansard joined an intimate traditional Irish music session at The Wren's Nest pub, where he sang alongside fellow musicians in front of a small crowd.
The intimate gathering was reportedly held in celebration of Mayo County’s football victory, and videos from the evening show Hansard singing alongside fellow musicians before he left the pub.
Hansard died at age 56 after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in western Dublin. Authorities are continuing a standard investigation into the fatal accident.
The Dublin native was best known as the frontman of The Frames and as one half of folk duo The Swell Season with Markéta Irglová. In 2008, the pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Falling Slowly" from the acclaimed indie film Once, in which they also starred together. Hansard later saw Once adapted into the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
The Wren’s Nest shared its sorrow following Hansard’s death, remembering him as a musician whose generosity and talent touched countless people. As news of his death spread, tributes poured in from across the music world, too.
Bruce Springsteen remembered Hansard as "a great musician" and "a generous friend."
Bono praised his compassion and authenticity, calling him a "musical and mischievous archangel of Ballymun."
"Sometimes I would wonder if Glen Hansard really existed…." the U2 frontman said.
Fellow Irish artist Hozier was among the many musicians honoring Hansard's lasting influence on Ireland's music community.
Hansard is survived by his wife, Finnish poet Maire Saaritsa, and their young son. His official website still lists several upcoming European tour dates later this year, a heartbreaking reminder of the music he was still planning to share with audiences.

Grammy-Winning Star, With No. 1 Hit Song, Brings Fans to Tears After Delivering 'Beautiful' Live Performance
Daniel Caesar's fans know that when he hits the stage, he's going to deliver a soulful set that transforms into an emotional experience, and his latest show did just that.
Taking the stage at Baltimore's CFG Bank Arena on Tuesday night, July 28, the R&B crooner sat on a stool, playing his guitar and serenading the crowd during a show along his international Son of Spergy Tour. He also stood at some points during the performance, while showing off his musical chops by switching over to the piano for other moments of the set.
One part of the concert, specifically, is making the rounds on social media, showcasing a segment where he surprisingly granted a fan's request by singing a song he hadn't pulled out of his repertoire in quite some time. In a TikTok clip, the fan can be seen holding a sign up high where Caesar could see it, before quickly losing his cool after realizing the R&B-soul star was actually taking the song request.
The now-viral footage finds the fan jumping up and down before the crooner begins his hit "Superposition" from 2019 album Case Study 01. "I’m still in awe that this even happened guys," the fan admitted in the caption of the upload.

Fellow fans hopped into the comments section with equally as enamored reactions to the impromptu performance.
"Bro got him to play superposition.. **daps you up** Preciate you my boa," one person said, while another joked, "i owe u my first born."
"Fomo out my ass omg, chicago was blessed with we find love but WOW," a third commenter wrote, with the original poster, @soyysaucyyy responding, "I actually envy ur setlist so bad but this raised the bar fr."
Someone else couldn't contain their emotions, admitting, "you are a blessing i literally cried tears when he started singing," to which the fan concurred: "Not a single dry eye from me too."
More commenters dropped notes like, "Oh so u the reason I was sobbin even harder ?" "new pov unlocked preciate for the song request," "I wanna be so mad but I’m so happy you guys got that," "bless your soul," "HE DID NOT OMG 😭," "THANK YOU FOR THIS," and "you're the actual goat."

During the show, Caesar performed a collection of hits from his catalog, including "Rain Down," "Who Knows," "Cyanide," "Moon," "Always," "Violet," "Let Me Know," "Have a Baby (With Me)," "Let Go," and "Superpowers," as well as favorites from Freudian like "Get You," "Best Part," and "Blessed."
The concert series supports his fourth studio album, Son of Spergy, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in late 2025. It also hit the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 4 and marking his first entry on the chart.
One of the tracks from Caesar's latest musical project even earned placement on a new chart for the artist when "Rain Down" broke through the Hot Gospel Songs Chart, debuting at No. 1.
Prior to the release, the Ontario, Canada-native already had a handful of No. 1 hits to his name. In 2021, Justin Bieber's "Peaches," where he's featured alongside Giveon, clinched the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. "Best Part" with H.E.R., for which he also won his first and only Grammy for Best R&B Performance in 2019, hit No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Songs chart, as did Freudian's "Get You" (2017) featuring Kali Uchis.
The Son of Spergy Tour kicked off in May in Asia, before coming stateside, where he has been playing in several cities across North America since mid-July. Next up, Caesar is headed to the famed Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N. Y., on July 30. The North American leg of the concert series wraps up on Aug. 24 in Anaheim, Calif., and he's slated to perform seven shows in the EU/UK from Aug. 29 to Sept. 11. Tickets are available online.

Danny DeVito's Friendship With Michael Douglas Began 61 Years Ago — But Not in the Film Biz
You might know him best as the narrator and villainous dad from Matilda. Or Frank Reynolds from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The list of Danny DeVito roles goes on.
To most Americans, he's the outrageously funny characters he portrayed, which also includes the iconic sitcomTaxi (as Louie De Palma).
But for most of his five-decade career, the 81-year-old has also been a successful director and a producer who fights for films he believes in — including the Quentin Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction — to steadily become a major Hollywood player.
His first paying role was in the play The Contrast in 1965. When they performed at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Connecticut, he also helped build a new amphitheater on the property — and none other than Michael Douglas was on the work crew. They bonded instantly, AARP The Magazine reports.
“We had a lot of fun and then maintained our friendship over an incredibly long period of time,” Douglas, also 81, told the magazine as part of DeVito's cover-story article published Wednesday, July 29. “When I graduated from college and ended up in New York, he and I were roommates. He just was a special guy. And I think it was also that I was a little self-conscious in terms of being an early nepo baby, and he never treated me as a movie star’s son.”
Douglas ultimately started producing and, at one point, took director Miloš Forman to see an off-Broadway production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, in which DeVito played Martini, a childlike mental patient given to vivid hallucinations. When it was time to choose the actors for the film version, “Danny was the first person cast,” Douglas told AARP. "Miloš saw him and said, 'Yeah, we have Martini now.'"
Looking ahead, DeVito is returning to the big screen to reprise his role as Grandpa Eddie in Jumanji: Open World, due out on Christmas. “The older I get, the better I get for that part, so just bring it on,” he says.

Alysa Liu Fans Are Divided Over One Bold Choice in Her Newest Collab
It turns out not everyone wants more than one Alysa Liu.
The Olympic figure skater is one of several athletes and cultural figures starring in Nike's new Studio Fleece campaign, which introduces what Nike describes as "The Ultimate Uniform for the Everyday Athlete." But it's the brand's creative decision involving the 20-year-old that has people talking.
Throughout the campaign imagery, several models appear with Liu's signature halo hairstyle—featuring her famous blonde and brown stripes—creating clones of the figure skater. The concept has quickly divided fans online.
View this post on InstagramSome fans felt the campaign diluted what makes Liu stand out, arguing that her individuality is part of her appeal and questioning why Nike chose to recreate her signature look on other models.
“Why [clone] Alysa , she is unique and very nice , please [be] less mainstream,” one wrote in the comments.
Another stated, “Let’s encourage ppl to not be unique, good idea 🤨.”
“Why is everyone there a still life of alysa 💔,” replied a third, while a fourth commented, “That's sad af. Take something unique and make it not.”
Others defended the artistic direction and loved seeing the figure skater being featured.
“Love seeing Alysa Liu featured in this campaign. 👏🤍,” a fan wrote.
Another agreed, saying, “Now this is awesome.”

The collaboration marks another high-profile moment for Liu, whose star has continued to rise following a breakout year both on and off the ice. Earlier this month, she accepted the ESPY for Best Breakthrough Athlete, where she also caught attention for her custom open-back Louis Vuitton gown. The look gave fans their clearest view yet of a tattoo Liu later explained she got with her best friend when she was 18—a personal detail many hadn't seen before because the ink is usually covered.
As for the Studio Fleece collection, it launches Thursday, July 30 in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa before rolling out globally on September 1.
