50 Years Ago, ‘Brady Bunch’ Star Shocked Fans With Her Bold First Post-Sitcom Role
In 1976, Eve Plumb was two years out from her breakout role as middle child Jan Brady on The Brady Bunch. The actress, who was still in high school at the time, took some time from her post Brady life to go do normal teenage things.
“I went back to high school," Plumb told Fox News Digital in 2023. "It was a private school. I was a cheerleader, and I just did [the] best I could in school and then planned to go to Cal State Northridge for theater arts.”
But Plumb’s next acting role was one that shed her good girl Brady image for good.
In September 1976, Plumb starred as a teen runaway-turned-prostitute in the made-for-TV movie Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway. Plumb played Dawn Wetherby, a 15-year-old who runs away from an unhappy home life to Hollywood and becomes a prostitute as a way to support herself, under the tutelage of a pimp named Swan (Bo Hopkins). Dawn finds companionship with a male hustler named Alexander (Leigh McCloskey) before returning home.
The NBC TV movie, filmed in spring 1976 just as Plumb turned 18, also featured a cameo by Suzanne Crough, best known as the youngest child, Tracy, on The Partridge Family. The song “Cherry Bomb” by Joan Jett’s teen girl group The Runways, was featured on the movie’s soundtrack. Quite a departure from The Brady Bunch’s “Sunshine Day.”

In a 2023 interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Plumb said the role in Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway saved her from being typecast as a Brady.
“When I got [the role of Dawn], that was really great,” she said. “I was really fortunate, because it was such a departure from Jan, and that was a big shocker. That was really, really quite the shocker for everyone. But it was great.”
While she had been acting since age six, Plumb revealed she had to do a traditional screen test for the role. “I think it was very fortunate that that came along for me, because it was the instant transition from Jan to adult, which is very difficult for a lot of child actors to make,” she added. "Because once you're not cute anymore, nobody wants you. So, that was very fortunate for me, so that's why I did it. It was a very quick, giant step.”

Plumb told Fox News that it was "exciting" for her to transition to the more adult role and appear in “something very different and very challenging.”
“It was a really great opportunity," she added. “It was very popular. It did really well in the ratings. I haven’t faced a lot of typecasting. I’ve been fortunate enough to continue to be cast in different roles. Nobody has seemed to put me in a niche."
Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway was so popular that Plumb starred in a sequel, Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn, in 1977. She went on to roles in the Little Women mini-series and Grease: Live.

According to TJ’s official website, Spicy Spuds “are about as exciting as a side dish can get.”
The dish is “made with creamy-textured potatoes, which are conveniently cut into bite-sized chunks, then seasoned with a complex, capsaicin-rich blend of spices including cayenne pepper, Parmesan cheese, lime juice, and smoked paprika.”
Retailing for $4.49 for a 20-ounce bag, these Spicy Spuds are beyond versatile. You can have them shine as a side for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in a hash, burrito, casserole, chilli, buffalo wings, or seafood boils.

As with most new Trader Joe’s items, shoppers are already going on social media, with some customers suggesting that they’re the perfect dupe for Taco Bell potatoes — although it hasn’t been confirmed just yet if they pack the same flavorful punch.
Taco Bell offers its potatoes in items like the Potato Soft Taco, Breakfast Potato Burrito, and Potato Crunchwrap Supreme.
As far as how to prepare Trader Joe’s Spicy Spuds, the options are also endless. You can sautée them, roast them in the oven, or throw them in the air fryer for some extra crunch. If calories aren't a concern, you can even deep fry them!
Generally, when Trader Joe’s introduces a new item, the grocer indicates if it’s seasonal by adding a graphic to the website. Thankfully, these Spicy Spuds don’t have any such marker, suggesting they may be available year-round.
If you aren’t a big fan of spice, don’t fret! Trader Joe’s also offers a wide variety of frozen potato items, including Roasted Potatoes with Peppers & Onions, Shredded Potato Hash Browns, Trader Potato Tots, Scallopini Potatoes, Handsome Cut Potato Fries, Herbes de Provence Potato Wedges, Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries, and Sweet Potato Fries.
Hit 1992 Track by Iconic Grunge Band Was First Released in a Movie Soundtrack
It wasn't uncommon for movies in the 90s to include heavy metal bands, grunge bands, and rock bands as part of their movie soundtracks. The 1993 film Singles has an era-defining soundtrack that included one of Alice in Chains' most recognizable singles that was created specifically for the movie.
The romantic comedy was written and directed by Cameron Crowe, which put a lens on a group of single people in Seattle, Washington, during the grunge phenomenon. It largely focused on a coffee-bar waitress, played by Bridget Fonda, who becomes enamored by an aloof and aspiring grunge rock musician named Cliff Poncier. The role was played by Matt Dillon, and also starred Campbell Scott, Kyra Sedgwick, and Sheila Kelly.
With Singles focusing on the grunge era and based in Seattle, its movie soundtrack included key bands of the genre that were based in Washington. One of them was none other than Alice in Chains, fronted by the late Layne Staley.
The track "Would?" became one of the band's most iconic songs that would later be included in their album 1992 Dirt. It was created by the band's vocalist and guitarist, Jerry Cantrell, as a tribute to his friend Andrew Wood. Wood was the lead vocalist of the Seattle-based band Mother Love Bone, who died in 1990 from a drug overdose.

While Cantrell sings the verses of the song, Staley's gritty vocals sing the chorus. The song became an instant success, landing at No. 31 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart that same year, and would re-enter the charts in 2019. It later landed at No.15 on the Hot Rock Songs chart thanks to its inclusion in the Netflix series The Punisher.
"Would?" later became included in multiple albums of Alice in Chains' best hits, and was tagged "timeless" by critics, with it being one of the top tracks of the 1990s. It even landed on multiple lists as one of the best grunge songs of all-time.
The Singles album also included singles by bands like Pearl Jam's unreleased tracks "Breath" and "State of Love and Trust". Soundgarden was also featured in the album with "Birth Ritual," alongside bands like Screaming Trees and The Smashing Pumpkins. The bands and other celebrities make cameo appearances in the film.
'Scream' Star to Debut on Broadway With 'Titanique' Featuring Celine Dion's Hits
Melissa Barrera fans know she can sing after her acclaimed turn in Jon M. Chu's movie In the Heights.
And after starring in several Scream films, the Mexican actress, 35, will continue to show off her musical chops on Broadway. Her debut comes with the campy spoof Titanique, stepping into the role of Rose for the musical’s upcoming run at New York's St. James Theatre, Variety reports.
View this post on InstagramIf the award-winning play's title rings a bell, that might be because the comedy reimagines James Cameron's 1997 masterpiece Titanic — but through the perspective and songs of the one and only Céline Dion...
Barrera will portray Kate Winslet's iconic role in a wacky tale that begs the question: What “really happened to Jack and Rose on that fateful night?" And it's all filtered through Dion’s biggest hits, Variety also noted on Thursday, Feb. 19. The musical features the following tracks, to comedic and absurd effect:
- “My Heart Will Go On”
- “Because You Loved Me”
- “All by Myself”
- “To Love You More”
Co-creator Marla Mindelle will reprise her role as Dion, 57. Emmy winner and Tony nominee Jim Parsons will play Rose’s mother, the role originated by Frances Fisher in the film. Grammy-nominee Deborah Cox will play Unsinkable Molly Brown, portrayed by Kathy Bates in the film.
Titanique first opened off-Broadway in June 2022 at the Asylum Theatre, then transferred to the Daryl Roth Theatre, where it ran for three years, closing in June 2025. The production also expanded internationally to Sydney, London, Chicago and Paris.
The production will debut on Broadway this spring for a 16-week limited engagement. Previews begin March 26, with an official opening set for April 12. The production will conclude on July 12.
In November 2023, Barrera was fired from the Scream franchise over social media posts she shared about the situation in Gaza between Israel and Palestinians. Fans are certainly eager to see her shine on Broadway while Scream 7 soon hits theaters.

But she also went a step further, delving into the duo's estranged relationship.
"It's definitely about my sister. And just absolutely the most lonely part of my existence is not having my sister in my life at the moment, and really struggled with thinking about including that on the record," she said, noting that so many people are existing in the world "without their other half."
Ultimately, Duff said she decided to include it on the record because it's "her truth," and it's just so relatable.

Duff said she doesn't think it would help if Haylie heard the song.
"I don't know if she'll hear it. I don't know how she'll react to it. You know, it is a really personal part of my life that doesn't get to stay personal. So I might as well say how it is for me, and that's all I'm trying to do. I'm not trying to say anything bad. It's literally just my experience — and that's really all I feel like sharing," Duff added.
Duff just released a video for "Weather for Tennis," the first song featured on her new record. Seeing as it's her first LP in over a decade, listeners are thrilled! Click below to watch the stunning video:

‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ Gets Season 5 Pickup Amid Daytime TV Shakeups
If you’re a fan of The Jennifer Hudson Show, you’re in luck! On Thursday, February 19, it was confirmed that the beloved daytime talk show has been renewed for another season.
"I could not be more honored to continue this journey alongside a phenomenal group of brilliant producers, dedicated crew, and collaborative partners," Hudson, 44, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly.
“It is such a joy to connect with people in meaningful ways every day across this country and to share stories of heart and inspiration, all while bringing entertainment into people's lives,” the EGOT winner, who began hosting the show in 2022, continued. "None of this would be possible without our incredible audience. They are the heartbeat of the show, and I am so excited to take this to new heights in Season 5!"
News of the renewal comes on the heels of some major changes to the daytime TV landscape.
Earlier this month, both Sherri Shepherd and Kelly Clarksonrevealed that their respective daytime talk shows would be coming to an end. Shepherd’s Sherri (FOX) was canceled after its fourth season, while Clarkson’s The Kelly Clarkson Show (NBC) wasn’t canceled, but instead, the American Idolalum, 43, decided to end the show after seven seasons to prioritize her family.
Speaking to the success of The Jennifer Hudson Show, and why it's been able to stand the test of time, Lauren Blincoe, senior VP current programming for Telepictures, said in a statement, “Jennifer’s talent, heart, and generosity of spirit set a powerful tone and fuel the show’s success. We are profoundly grateful to her, and to the exceptional work and dedication of our executive producers, staff and crew, station partners, and loyal viewers. We celebrate this milestone and look forward to creating even more moments that lift, inspire, and allow guests and audiences to ‘feel the love.’ ”
You can tune into The Jennifer Hudson Show on weekdays in national syndication. Check local listings for times in your area.
Watch Kelly Clarkson Storm the Stage for a Hug in ‘The Voice’ Premiere: 'What a Gift'
When The Voicereturns on Monday night for its 29th season, it’s the Battle of the Champions, meaning that all three coaches for the first time in the series’ history are previous winners: Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend.
But there’s a twist. Obviously, with only three coaches, there’s no four-chair turns this season, rather the best a contestant can do is a three-chair turn. But there’s a prize for the coaches this time around, as well.
The coach with the most three-chair turns automatically earns a “Super Steal” for the Battles. This coveted prize can only be used once and trumps any other coach’s attempt to steal, guaranteeing a win, so as Kelly, Adam and John are building their teams, they’re doing their best to try to win over the three-chair turns, employing any method possible.
In the instance of Jonah Mayor, it’s hugs following his Blind Audition. Watch the fun video as Kelly starts it, but then the men follow suit.

It isn’t revealed what song Jonah sang, but it moved Kelly so much that she jumped out of her red swivel chair and ran to hug him.
“What a gift,” she said, referring to his voice. And then went back to sit down. “That was so sexy,” she added.
“Welcome to Team Kelly,” Adam joked.
And John said, “She acted like you were already on her team.”
“I can’t compete with any of what just happened,” Adam said. “I feel like I should give you a hug, too, because then we would be even.”

“All right,” Jonah said and Adam did just that. Then to Kelly he said, “We’re good with the hugs. We’re even.”
But then Jonah called for John to give him a hug as well, which John did, while telling Jonah, “That was beautiful. Beautiful.”
Which one of the coaches will land Jonah on their team?

Alysa Liu Reapplied Her Lipstick Before Receiving Her Gold Medal—Here's Where To Get It
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Following her stunning gold-medal performanceThursday, Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu got caught up in the rinkside chaos before she remembered something essential: her lipstick.
"Wait, my lipstick!" she could be heard saying during the live broadcast of the women's free skate, just after the final scores were announced and prior to the medal ceremony. The scene was happy havoc—there were hugs with teammates, tears and dozens of competitors, coaches and Olympic officials buzzing about, causing her to leave her makeup behind near the kiss-and-cry area where the skaters sit after their performances.
Liu, who calls herself just "a girl in the world" in her Instagram bio, has captured audiences' hearts with her authentic presence on-and-off the ice, and her dash to grab and re-apply her makeup is just another relatable moment that makes fans love the 20-year-old skater even more.
She is the first American woman to capture Olympic singles gold since Sarah Hughes in 2002. “I literally can’t process this,” the California native said shortly after winning, according to USA Today.
After getting third place in the short program, Liu delivered a flawless performance in the free skate that won her the gold. “The feelings I felt out there were calm, happy and confident,” she said.
Liu's smile has been the talk of the Olympics, and not just because of the lipstick. She has smiley piercings—also known as frenulum piercings—on her two front teeth. The piercing goes through the thin webbing that connects your upper lip to your gums, but stays hidden inside of your mouth until you smile. “I pierced them a little over two years ago now,” she told TMJ4 News.

Where Can I Get Alysa Liu's Lipstick? It turns out that the lipstick in question isn't lipstick at all, but a lip oil. Internet sleuths wasted no time investigating and identifying the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Lip Oil.
According to Rare Beauty, the lip oil is a "jelly that transforms into a lightweight oil" that "starts off glossy and then leaves lips tinted."

Isn’t sticky or too thick. Love the stain it leaves behind," said one reviewer, while others commented on "the gorgeous color" and called it "hydrating" and "lightweight."
Many reviewers are happy that the formula has bright pigment and comes in "a beautiful array of colors," while others didn't like the price, which they felt was "insane" for a lip gloss.

Karl Urban Teases What’s Coming for Fans in The Boys Series Finale: 'Nobody is Safe'
The vigilante supes from The Boys will return to our screens very soon. And yes, the emotional stakes are higher than fans can ever imagine, with the fates of many characters wrapped in darkness.
Now, Billy Butcher, aka Karl Urban, has stirred more frenzy among fans, making it abundantly clear that “nobody is safe.”
Amazon Prime Video
“Every season, but particularly this season, from episode one, you’re like, oh wow, nobody is safe,” he told Variety. “Fatalities right from the get-go. Let’s go! Last season! It’s all on!”
This only tops off Eric Kripke’s comments about the finale in an interview with Deadline. “There will probably be lots of deaths. There’s no guarantee of who’s gonna survive.”
Fans have been waiting to witness the downfall of Homelander since day one and had the rightest clue that a bloodbath was always in the making – at least for the corrupt supes. But now Urban’s “nobody’s safe” comment, which came quite casually, has fans praying their favourite longtime characters don’t get a farewell they don’t deserve.
We still have some time to find out what exactly will unravel in The Boys universe – for now, all eyes are on the additional trailer for more clues.
The Boys finale will premiere on Prime Video on April 8 this year with 2 episodes, followed by subsequent episodes dropping weekly until May 8.

Hobby Lobby's Antique-Inspired Home Find Is the Perfect Mix of Modern and Retro Charm
Creating a home that feels curated and expensive often feels like an endless pursuit of high-priced designer showrooms, fueled by scrolling through interior design feeds and admiring how a single piece of furniture transforms a sterile room into a sanctuary. Most homeowners assume that achieving a "magazine-ready" look requires a massive renovation budget or a professional decorator on speed dial.
However, the most impactful changes frequently come from the smallest details—specifically, the way we layer light and texture. Lighting is the "jewelry" of the home, yet it is often overlooked in favor of larger furniture. A poorly lit room can feel cold and flat, but the right accent lamp introduces a sense of history, personality, and warmth. Lately, interior enthusiasts have moved away from industrial minimalism, leaning instead into "Grandmillennial" and "Moody Deco" aesthetics that prioritize rich colors, tactile fabrics, and metallic finishes to catch the eye.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the emerald green velvet lampshade, which gives your interior a sophisticated edge and a soft, diffused glow. It is the definition of "plug-and-play" elegance—simply add a light bulb and plug it in for an instant dose of class.
Shoppers are already calling this the "find of the season," noting its impressive quality and retro charm. This piece has gained significant traction on social media, with decorators praising the gorgeous green velvet and the vintage-inspired pull chain. Whether you are styling a reading nook or adding symmetry to a dining room buffet, this budget-friendly Art Deco lamp proves that luxury is about taste, not just the price tag. As one happy owner noted, the lamp arrived in perfect condition and serves as a true "Hobby Lobby treasure" that completes the living room.
Survivor 50 Casting: How to Apply and Tips from Jeff Probst
Want to be cast on a future Survivor season? Here's some tips from Jeff Probst.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2022, the longtime host called casting "one of the most fascinating and enjoyable aspects of producing Survivor."
"It's so much fun! We get to meet so many truly amazing people and learn about their lives," Probst said at the time. "Typically, it goes like this. We hop on Zoom, and they start to tell us about their lives. I often spend the first few minutes thinking the same thing… 'How have they already done so much at such a young age, and what was I doing when I was 24!??'"
He then explained what the production team is looking for during interviews and gave crucial advice to future applicants.
"Our only intention is to get to know who they really are," Probst explained. "It's one of the things I try to stress to people who are applying to be on Survivor. You don't have to be anything other than who you are. It sounds so simple but it's the absolute truth. You do not need an emotional underdog story, you do not need to be the funniest person in the room, you don't need to have a college degree, you don't need to be anything other than you."
He also warned against pretending to act like someone you're not, stating, "Putting on a front doesn't work anyway, as our process is designed to sniff out anyone who isn't being authentic."
How to apply for 'Survivor'To apply for a future season of Survivor, hopeful contestants must complete the online application and upload a short video and a recent photo.
If casting is interested in moving forward, they will reach out by phone or email to continue the process.
Survivor casting director Jesse Tannenbaum has also shared a video outlining the do’s and don’ts for submitting your audition tape.
Applicants must meet the show’s eligibility requirements, which can be found here.
Survivor is currently casting for Season 51, so those hoping to compete should apply as soon as possible for a chance to make it on the island.
Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans premieres Wednesday, Feb. 25 with a special three-hour episode at 8/7c on CBS.
Savannah Guthrie and Cousins Used to Stage Pretend 'Kidnappings' as Kids, According to Savannah's 2024 Memoir
As the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, prepares to enter its fourth week, a surprising detail has resurfaced from Savannah’s 2024 memoir, Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere.
In the book Savannah, 57, describes going to visit her cousins in Phoenix. The Today host said that her cousin Teri was approximately 20 years older than her so she seemed more like an aunt. Instead, she was closer with Teri’s three children – Paige, Charley and Holly.

“About once a year, in the summertime, Cousin Teri orchestrated a ‘kidnapping’ of my sister and me,” Savannah wrote.
She then went on to explain how the situation would play out, adding “The cousins would visit for a few days at our house in Tucson, and then, on the morning they were to leave, Teri would wake us up early, shushing us in the predawn darkness as we made our escape. We would all pile into her rickety station wagon and head north.”
Savannah recalled calling her mother from a pay phone during one of the so called “kidnappings,” writing, “Mom! Cousin Teri kidnapped us to take us to her house!” She said her mother would pretend to be shocked before promising to drive up and get them a few days later.
However, those memories of summer “kidnappings” now read differently in light of the current search for her mother, Nancy, who has been missing since February 1.
Savannah Guthrie/Instagram
Nancy, 84, was last seen at her home around 9:30 p.m. on January 31 after being dropped off by her daughter Annie Guthrie and her son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. The following morning, she failed to show up at a friend’s house to watch a streaming church service and was reported missing.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are leading the investigation and believe Nancy didn’t leave voluntarily and was likely taken from her home against her will. Multiple ransom notes have been sent to media outlets, including TMZ, which first reported receiving one on February 3, but it hasn’t been confirmed they came from her alleged abductors.
Surveillance footage released by the FBI shows a masked individual outside her home shortly before her disappearance, and investigators have said they’re analyzing biological evidence found at the scene. So far, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
As of mid-February, rewards totaling more than $200,000 have been offered for information leading to her recovery, including a matching contribution from a community tip line on top of the FBI’s reward.

Savannah and her siblings have issued several statements regarding their mom’s disappearance and made multiple public pleas for their mother’s return, calling on anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities have asked anyone with information to call the FBI tip line at 1-800-225-5324.
Daniel Radcliffe Has One Request from the Press About the New Harry Potter Stars
With HBO reincarnating the beloved Harry Potter franchise as a decade-long television series, there’s no doubt the series is and will forever be viewed through the lens of comparison. This dynamic curbs creativity while mounting immense pressure on the new stars to match the mesmerising originals who raised an entire generation.
Now, the OG star Daniel Radcliffe, aka The Boy Who Lived, has made a special request from the press about the same matter: it’s not to be pokey about the young actors.
Aidan Monaghan/HBO
“When these kids got cast, there was a huge thing on the internet around the world, people being like ‘we've got to look after these kids.’” Radcliffe told ScreenRant. “And I was like, if you mean that, one of the things you can do for me is not ask about us — me, Emma, Rupert — the whole time.”
He continued, “I would like not to be weird spectral phantoms in these children's lives and just to let them get on with it. Because it is going to be a new thing and it's going to be a different thing.” Radcliffe then praised Dominic, saying, “[he] is going to be better than me and better than I was.”
Harry Potter television series is expected to hit screens in early 2027 with Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton cast as the golden trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, respectively.

Chilling 1977 Gospel Tribute Brought Country Legends Together After Elvis Presley's Death
A chilling 1977 gospel tribute brought together four of Country music's biggest legends to honor Elvis Presley months after his death.
Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and Jerry Lee Lewis reunited on The Johnny Cash Christmas Special to honor one of their own with a heartfelt rendition of a beloved gospel standard. Before the music began, Cash reflected on Presley’s deep connection to gospel music and the profound influence the genre had on his life and career.
Cash said, "Of course, there were others at Sun Records. Charlie Rich was there. So was Conway Twitty."
He continued, "And there was another one. In fact, after appearing in high school auditoriums and places like that, I worked my very first concert as a guest and he was the star. And he always was a star."

"Because all of us remember him and how he loved gospel songs. This song is for Elvis," Cash concluded.
Reunited on stage was The Million Dollar Quartet. Cash, Perkins, Orbison, and Lewis gathered together to sing "This Train (is bound for Glory), originally recorded by Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
It was ironic that Presley's contemporaries picked that particular song to sing for their tribute. The entertainer was greatly influenced by Tharpe throughout his career.
“Elvis loved Sister Rosetta Tharpe,” Gordon Stoker of the Jordanaires said in the book Shout Sister Shout!: The Untold Story of Rock-and-Roll Trailblazer Sister Rosetta Tharpe, as reported by Vulture. “Not only did he dig her guitar picking—that’s really what he dug—but he dug her singing, too.”
According to the official Graceland website, the gospel genre was Presley's favorite. It states, "For Elvis, gospel music was the beginning. The first songs he ever sang were gospel songs at church in Tupelo, Mississippi, and he never stopped singing those hymns. He recorded gospel albums, sprinkled a few of his favorite hymns into his rock 'n' roll concerts, and loved to sing old-time spirituals with his friends."
Elvis Presley's only Grammy wins were for his recordings of traditional gospel songs. He won the trophies for his versions of "How Great Thou Art" and "He Touched Me," and for Best Inspirational Performance for his live rendition of "How Great Thou Art" which was recorded at in Memphis on March 20, 1974.
Elvis Presley died at the age of 42 on August 16, 1977, at his Graceland home.
These 15 Food & Beverage Items Just Won Product of the Year
The best food, snack and beverage products of 2026 have officially been named, and some of these picks likely won't surprise you, but others? They even gave us a little nostalgia-filled shock.
The list was compiled by Product of the Year USA, which hosts the largest consumer-vote-based survey dedicated to recognizing product innovation across over 40 categories, according to an official statement.
"The 2026 Product of the Year winners highlight the next wave of product innovation and the brands setting the pace for what consumers want now," Mike Nolan, global chief executive officer of Product of the Year Management, explained in a Feb. 20 press release. "With shoppers more discerning than ever, and new products coming at them from every direction, the Product of the Year seal cuts through the noise—building trust, driving confidence, and helping brands win at shelf and online."
Food & Beverage Items That Earned the 2026 Product of the Year AwardThis year, consumers say their "best picks of the year" come from discount grocers like ALDI and classic brands including Clearly Canadian and Knorr.

ALDI-Exclusive Products of the Year
Starting with the most exclusive finds first, three ALDI products have been named winners and they couldn't be more different. Consumers say the ALDI-Exclusive Elevation Ultra Filtered Milkshakes (about $8.79 for a four-pack of shakes with 30 grams of protein), ALDI-Exclusive Elliott Cooper Chardonnay (which is currently under $10), and ALDI-Exclusive Simply Nature Granola Bites ($3.45 for a 4.25-ounce box) are among the best of the best—proving not everything worth purchasing has to be expensive.
Picks That Cut Cooking Time in Half
Ben's Original Single-Serve Rice Cups portion rice into single-serve cups that just need to be popped in the microwave for a few moments before enjoying. The product is available in four flavors (Fried Rice With Peas, Jasmine Rice, Roasted Chicken with Carrots and Herbs, and Spanish Style with Tomatoes and Peppers) at most major retailers (prices vary). Similarly, Tyson Chicken Cups (microwavable, pre-portioned packages of chicken bites) also made the cut.
Then there's the Butterball Cook from Frozen Premium Whole Turkey, which is pre-brined and ready to cook, significantly reducing the steps needed to cook a delicious turkey dinner. It's available at most grocery stores now, for a little over $35 (prices may vary).
Knorr Flavor Bases, which debuted late last year as a modern, "chef-inspired" version of its flavorful bouillon cubes, amp up the flavor of soups, stews, and pastas (pretty much any dish) with simple and easy dilution that lasts. One container of the concentrate is equivalent to 52 cups of traditional chicken, beef, or vegetable broth, per the Knorr website. They can be found on shelves at most grocers and major retailers for about $6.
And because no one should start their day on an empty stomach, consumers say Eggo's new Protein Waffles and Pancakes are among the best new ways to enjoy a protein-packed, macro-friendly breakfast. They're available now at most retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.99 for a 10-pack of waffles or a 12-pack of pancakes, and reviewers say they're pretty "irresistible."

Creamiest Dairy and Non-Dairy Products of the Year
Moving on from high speed and efficiency come four finds in the refrigerated and freezer departments, including the new Kinder Frozen Dessert, two Organic Valley products, and one ultra-smooth offer from Président.
Starting with the sweetest treat of all, Kinder Frozen Dessert blends a “creamy” hazelnut-flavored frozen dessert with the "tastes and crispy textures" of the signature Kinder Bueno that inspired it. It's available at retailers nationwide (prices vary).

And should you prefer your cheese spreadable, consumers really enjoy Rondelé by Président. The 2026 Product of the Year Award winner is available in several flavors—Garlic & Herbs, Garden Veggie, Artichoke & Garlic, Light Garlic & Herbs, Mango Habanero, Sea Salt & Pepper—at major retailers nationwide (prices vary).
Nostalgic Beverages and Innovative Energy Products Winning Over Consumers
This year's voters say Clearly Canadian Originals and its Zero Sugarline of sparkling waters aren't to be overlooked. The company's big comeback is supported by more than just nostalgia; it's backed by current consumer reviews (prices vary).
View this post on InstagramAnd last, but certainly not least, are Mojo Energy Pouches, which combine functional ingredients like Ginseng, Yerba Mate, B vitamins, and L-Theanine with 50 milligrams of caffeine. Instead of offering an energizing liquid drink, Mojo gives consumers a boost through the oral route: they simply pop a pouch in their mouth for 20 minutes and feel the power. It's available online in several flavors (Blue Raspberry, Cinnamon Churro, Mint Peach Watermelon, and Tropical Punch) and at select retailers for just under $30 for a five-pack.
A few other notable mentions outside of the food and beverage category include Scrubbing Bubbles Easy Clean, Charmin Forever Roll, LYSOL Brand New Day, TheraBreath Oral Rinse, and OFF! Area Repellent.

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s Handsome Son Wyatt, 39, Is Basically His Dad’s Twin on the Red Carpet
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's sonWyatt Russell is a dead ringer for his actor father.
Wyatt, 39, who previously scored success as a hockey goaltender, has made waves in the press lately for his acting career in roles in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the film Thunderbolts*. But these days, he’s hitting TV alongside his dad in Apple TV’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which follows members of the Monarch organization as they encounter Godzilla and several other monsters known as Titans. The father and son duo both play the character of Lee Shaw, a former U.S. Army colonel, through two different eras in his life.
The duo hit the red carpet to attend the world premiere of the show's second season at TCL Chinese Theatre, and with Wyatt's recent decision to ditch his shaggy beard, it's safe to say he looks even more like his dad. With that charming smile and high cheekbones, he's a dead ringer for Kurt.

Wyatt is Now a Parent TooWyatt, who shares two boys with his wife, Meredith Hagner, has bonded even more with his famous parents since becoming a father. Last year, he opened up about his own journey to parenthood.
“When you become a parent, you realize what your parents feel about you,” he told PEOPLE. “And so you realize that all they want you to be is happy. They want you to live a fulfilled life, and that’s all you care about for your kids. And so I’m imagining that’s all my parents care about.”
