Channing Tatum Shares Health Update After Surgery: 'Hang in There, Man'

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:52pm

Channing Tatumis feeling "stronger" – and he has a gnarly new scar to show off.

Tatum, 45, gave a health update on Feb. 19, two weeks after surgery for a separated shoulder. The Magic Mike star was a bit surprised by the procedure's aftermath. "Not [gonna] lie, it's my fault for not asking. I thought it was gonna be two little holes. Apparently not the case," he said with a laugh.

"Hang in there," commented actress Jamie Alexander, while giving her fellow superhero a fistbump (Alexander portrayed Lady Sifin the Thor movies, and Tatum finally fulfilled his dream of playing Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine).

Other well-wishers sent love to Tatum: many wished him a "speedy recovery, bro"; others said, "You got this, king!"; and filmmaker Cole Walliser noted that the scar made Channing look "even more badass lol."

The Roofman star seemed chill with his new look. "Well, it doesn't matter, anyhow," he wrote. "I like scars anyway, and it's feeling stronger, day by day, so thank you, Doc. Also, I do like going through airport security, wondering if my shoulder is gonna shut off the machine."

Tatum was referring to how doctors had to literally screw him back together. On Feb. 4, he posted a black-and-white photo of himself in a hospital gown. "Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let's get it in," he captioned the shot.

On his Instagram Story, Tatum went into further detail. He first shared a photo of an X-ray, noting that he had a "separated shoulder." A second post was after the operation, revealing a medical screw holding the broken bones together. "Screwed shoulder. Yay," he wrote.

Tatum didn't reveal how he injured his shoulder, but he tends to go full-out in a movie role. In September, Tatum revealed to Variety that he injured himself while filming Avengers: Doomsday. Tatum said they "had tons more shooting," including a "big fight" with Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, but he was sidelined, with his stunt double doing most of the work.

Channing Tatum will reprise the role of Gambit for Avengers: Doomsday. He was supposed to play the master mutant thief in a standalone film, but production never got off the ground. Tatum, who dearly cherishes Gambit, got to finally portray him in Deadpool & Wolverine.

I'm not gonna go full Cajun," he said of his upcoming appearance. The film's directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, wanted him to be "funny" but not goofy. "They want to keep the drama and keep it tight," said Tatum. "When Gambit gets serious — when he drops the Mardi Gras mask — things do matter."

25 Years Later, Director Reveals 'Fast & Furious' Star Almost Got Heath Ledger's 'A Knight's Tale' Role

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:46pm

As his beloved medieval comedy A Knight's Tale reaches its quarter-century anniversary, writer and director Brian Helgeland has been letting a few surprising cats out of the bag. Released by Sony Pictures, the 2001 movie followed the plight of charismatic peasant squire William Thatcher (played by the late Heath Ledger), who finds himself winning jousting tournaments and befriending historical figures.

But according to Helgeland, who also penned the screenplays for L.A Confidential and Mystic River, the studio wanted Ledger's central role to go to somebody else. He told The Guardian: "At the top of [the shortlist] was Paul Walker. I met him but he seemed too contemporary, like a guy who should be driving race cars – which he did so well in The Fast and the Furious. I just thought: 'You're not going to pull this off.'"

At the time, Walker's resumé boasted decent parts in Pleasantville and She's All That, yet Ledger's Hollywood ascension was like a freight train through town. Helgeland went on to recall: "I met him at a restaurant in LAX airport and he had this long leather case with him. 'What's in the case?' I asked. He said: 'It's my didgeridoo.' 'Can you play it?' I asked. He said: 'Of course I can.' And he started blowing on it like a white Australian Miles Davis. Everyone was looking. I fell in love with him in that moment and offered him the part."

Paul Bettany was the studio's first choice to play William (Getty Images)

Incredibly, Paul Bettany's ring announcer/poet Geoffrey Chaucer was supposed to bare the face of Hugh Grant, too, who'd pocketed the entire 1990s as his own thanks to major titles such as The Remains of the Day, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Sense and Sensibility, Mickey Blue Eyes, and Notting Hill.

"I wrote the part of Chaucer for Paul Bettany, although Sony wanted Hugh Grant," noted the filmmaker. "I've got nothing against Hugh but I thought the tone would be skewed if it was him and three other guys."

Bettany himself spoke to the same publication, and revealed that Helgeland threatened to walk from the movie if the studio didn't agree to casting him. "Because they had Heath attached, who was the hottest thing going after 10 Things I Hate About You, they went: 'All right, we'll let Brian have Paul in this f****** movie.'" And the rest is history.

‘80s No. 1 Heartfelt Hit Ranked Best Country Song That ‘Defined the Decade’

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:45pm

In 1982, Willie Nelson recorded and released his stunning version of the touching track, “Always on My Mind.” By the time of his debut, the crossover hit was already a Top 10 success for Elvis Presley, who dropped his rendition a decade prior as a B-side to his “Separate Ways” single.

Written by Wayne Carson, Mark James, and Johnny Christopher, “Always on My Mind” has taken on different lives by various artists who recorded the timeless classic, ranging from Brenda Lee, who first recorded the track, to Gwen McCrae, who first released the song, to the Pet Shop Boys, who gave the song a harmonizing touch.

Major Award Wins and Chart Performance

But Nelson’s version of the tune, which appears on his CMA Award-winning LP of the same name, solidified his country music status even further. The album itself, according to American Songwriter, reached No. 1 three separate times within a single year, ultimately holding the top spot for a total of 22 weeks.

The international hit, which almost became a duet with Merle Haggard, also made history for the Red Headed Stranger, 92, spending two weeks atop the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart and nabbing the No. 5 spot on Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks in total.

“Always on My Mind” enjoyed history–making success at the 25th annual Grammy Awards, where it earned three gramophones for categories including Best Male Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Song, and Song of the Year. In addition to its Grammy trophies, the Nelsons’ take on the tune earned Song of the Year and Single of the Year at the CMA Awards in 1982.

An article byWomen’s World compiled a list of the top 10 heartfelt country songs that ‘defined the decade,’ ranking Nelson’s rendition of “Always on My Mind” at the No. 1 spot. The placement found him edging out songs like Dolly Parton’s country classic ‘9 To 5’ and Randy Travis’ 1988 smash ‘Forever and Ever Amen,’ which took the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.

Other tracks that made the list include, Ronnie Milsap’s “Stranger in my House,” The Judds’ “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Ole Days),” Nelson’s “On the Road Again” and “City of New Orleans,” The Highwaymen’s “Highwaymen,” Kenny Rogers’ “You Decorated My Life,” and K.T. Oslin’s “Hold Me.”

Taco Bell Is Testing 2 Bold New Menu Items

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:45pm

I've officially reached the age where saying something like, "Taco Bell is on a generational run," sounds just a little bit cringe, and honestly, I'm kind of into it. It's a rite of passage to officially become an "unc" or an "auntie," so why fight it? We might as well just accept the fact that we're not exactly kids anymore.

Regardless, our original statement stands—Taco Bell is on a generational run. And it doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon. Although one could argue that Taco Bell never really fell off, it's hard to deny that the beloved Mexican-inspired fast-food chain has experienced a dazzling resurgence like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

Unlike some of its competitors, Taco Bell has continued to reinvent itself to stay relevant in the metaphorical revolving door that is today's finicky consumer landscape. Beyond just updating stores and focusing on branding, Taco Bell has doubled down on offering one-of-a-kind menu items that deliver the bold, punchy flavor diners have come to love. From its mouthwatering Cantina Chicken Menu to the introduction of value deals like the game-changing Luxe Box, Taco Bell is the fast-food chain to watch.

And as if we didn't already have plenty to crave, Taco Bell just dropped two new test items that we hope make their way to locations nationwide. Following the announcement that they've officially added Chicken Bacon Ranch Street Chalupas and Chicken Bacon Ranch Nacho Fries to all locations for a limited time, Taco Bell also quietly teased that it's testing Shredded Beef Street Chalupas and two new Chicken Cantina Bowls at locations in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Detroit.

The Shredded Beef Street Chalupas feature two cheesy, street-sized chalupa shells filled with rich, savory shredded beef, Creamy Jalapeño Sauce and a fresh onion and cilantro blend. Served as a two-pack, Shredded Beef Street Chalupas are priced between $5.99 and $6.99, depending on location. Fans can also go all in on the barbacoa-inspired entree and grab the $9 Discovery Luxe Box, which includes two Shredded Beef Street Chalupas, a Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito, Cinnamon Twists and a medium Mountain Dew Baja Midnight.

Taco Bell Is Testing Zesty New Cantina Bowls in Grand Rapids

Continuing the bold flavor parade, Taco Bell is also testing new Cantina Bowls, starting at $8.99, which are filled with a hearty base of rice and slow-roasted chicken, layered with black beans, iceberg lettuce, purple cabbage, reduced-fat sour cream, pico de gallo, all-new guacamole and seasoned Chalupa chips, all finished with chile lime seasoning. Fans can go fiery with the Cantina Chicken Cotija Bowl, which turns up the heat with a creamy Fiery Cotija Dip made with Fire Sauce, or keep things light with the zesty Cantina Chicken Chile Lime Bowl, paired with creamy avocado ranch.

Unfortunately, since these are only test items, we likely won't see them showing up on menus everywhere anytime soon. In the meantime, though, we can enjoy those glorious crispy chicken nuggs or grab one of the 10 items on Taco Bell's recently launched Luxe Value menu. Dare I say, Taco Bell has definitely got rizz.

'70s Soft Rock Icon's Classic Hit Began a 4-Week Run at No. 1, 54 Years Ago Today

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:31pm

Today (Feb. 19) in 1972, pop-soft rock icon Harry Nilsson kicked off a 4-week run at the top of the Billboard U.S. Singles chart with his remake of a Badfinger tune—a moment that cemented his place in music history.

The classic rendition of "Without You" would ultimately become his only chart-topping single in the United States, though he’d already built a reputation as one of pop’s most distinctive voices at the time.

Originally written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of the Welsh rock band, Nilsson recorded his own dramatic interpretation, transforming the track into a powerhouse pop ballad that resonated widely with listeners. The single climbed rapidly after debuting at No. 99 in December 1971, eventually taking over the top spot from Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” on the February chart dated 1972.

Commemorating the milestone, a Facebook post shared by This Day In Music provided some backstory for the hit. "He had heard Badfinger's recording at a party and mistook it for a Beatles song," the caption claimed. "After realising it was not, he decided to cover the song for his 1971 album Nilsson Schmilsson. He wanted his version of the song to be stark, but producer Richard Perry convinced him to turn it into a grand, crashing, theatrical monster-ballad, complete with orchestra. His vocal was recorded in a single take, and his performance was rewarded with Nilsson's second Grammy Award."

The success didn’t stop there. “Without You” also spent five weeks atop Billboard’s Easy Listening chart and went on to rank as the No. 4 song of 1972 overall. Its global impact was equally impressive, hitting No. 1 in multiple countries, including the UK, where it stayed at the top for five weeks.

For Nilsson, the smash hit represented both a commercial peak and a defining artistic moment. He later won the Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the song, which remains one of the most recognizable heartbreak ballads of the era, and a reminder of the singer’s remarkable vocal range and emotional delivery.

More than five decades later, that four-week reign that began on Feb. 19, 1972, still stands as one of the most iconic chart runs of the early ’70s—proof that sometimes a reinterpretation can eclipse even the original and become a timeless classic.

Harry Nilsson died of heart failure on Jan. 15, 1994, at age 52.

Emily Ratajkowski, 34, Makes Romance With Dua Lipa's Ex Instagram Official in New Kissing Photo

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:31pm

Emily Ratajkowski broke the hearts of Instagram followers everywhere on Thursday with the revelation that she's found love again.

The model, actress, and author, 34, who appears in the Netflix series Too Much, opposite Meg Stalter and Lena Dunham, shared a sweet kissing photo of herself and her new man. The Daily Mail has identified the handsome gentleman as French director Romain Gavras, who is also the ex-boyfriend of singer Dua Lipa.

While Ratajkowski didn't caption the carousel post, the first photo shows the couple kissing. Gavras has his arm around the small of her back and another around her neck. In another shot, Ratajkowski sits in an unbelted robe about to eat breakfast.

Ratajkowski was previously married to movie producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, and they have a 4-year-old son, Sly.

Ratajkowski Found Love On Her Own Schedule

Last year, the beauty shared that she was focusing much less on men in her life.

“I still like men,” she told ElleUK last year. “I just have zero straight men in my life, unless they’re a romantic interest. In the hierarchy of needs, that’s at the top of the pyramid, which is nice. [Men are] pleasure and fun, but not a part of my core. The rest of my life is community with other women and queer people, and being a mom.”

Spending time with her friends and her family is the real focus these days, and having dinner and drinks with them is her favorite activity.

“It’s so fun to talk s— with my friends,” she added.

Finding a Strong Community of Women

In a recent interview, the actress spoke about how working with Dunham on Too Much was an exciting prospect, especially since she and the Girls creator have been friends for years.

“Lena was the first person who published my writing, on Lenny Letter, but she knew about me from Instagram. I’ve had a lot of experiences, with Lena specifically, where she has seen past surface-level things and given me so many opportunities,” Ratajkowski told Variety.

In Too Much, Ratajkowski plays Wendy, an Internet influencer who has taken up with Stalter’s ex. But Ratajkowski said the role Dunham created allowed her to delve deeper than much of what she’s offered.

“When I shot Too Much, I was about to turn 33. I’m a grown ass woman, with a child, and it just felt very natural and right to be doing the kind of roles and working with the kind of people who share the ideas I do around women and respect,” she continued. “So I wasn’t really working anything, but it felt really nice.”

'Southern Charm' Cast Dines at Iconic Casa Kimberly, Home of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:26pm

The Feb. 18 episode of Southern Charm Season 11 sees the cast landing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where their first stop for dinner is at the legendary Casa Kimberly, the romantic getaway once shared by Hollywood icons Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Upon arrival, the cast is greeted by a bronze sculpture of Taylor and Burton, locked in an intense gaze as they sit together, holding each other close, a nod to their passionate, fiery romance that has left a lasting mark on Hollywood culture.

As the group steps inside the now nine-suite boutique hotel, they marvel at its luxurious interiors, romantic decor, and get a glimpse of Taylor's private suite, complete with a stunning jacuzzi overlooking Banderas Bay and the Sierra Madre mountains.

According to Casa Kimberly's website, "The bath, nearly as spacious as the bedroom, features the original pink-marble heart-shaped tub that Taylor commissioned for Casa Kimberly. (Perhaps the result of a translation glitch, the tub arrived in the amorphous shape of real heart rather than as a symmetrical Valentine.) Marble pillars and the stairs leading to the raised tub add a regal note to this exquisite aerie."

In fact, each suite is a marvel of its own, including the "Cleopatra" suite—a tribute to the 1963 film where Taylor and Burton first met—and the "Velvet" suite, honoring Taylor's breakthrough role in 1944's National Velvet at just 12 years old.

Besides its exquisite rooms, the Casa Kimberly features a breathtaking bridge, known as Puente Del Amor, which Burton built to connect his casita with Taylor's home, both to be close and avoid paparazzi. Today, the bridge links the two villas that make up the boutique hotel.

As the Southern Charm cast argues on one of the hotel's terraces during dinner, it's an amusing reminder of the fiery passion and occasional turbulence that defined Taylor and Burton's romance.

Taylor and Burton married in 1964, divorced in 1974, and briefly remarried in 1975 before divorcing again the following year. According to the BBC, reflecting on their relationship, Taylor said, "We had a good marriage. Something went wrong, but we're still good friends. I know I did everything in my power to make the marriage work."

She also reflected on why she believed their love didn't last, saying, "Maybe we loved each other too much."

Mexican Classics You Can Make at Home View this post on Instagram

Food blogger @snackolator shared the new flavors.

Cortadillo, also known as Mexican pink cake, is a soft vanilla sheet cake known for its bright pink icing and colorful sprinkles. If you've ever walked into a neighborhood panadería, you've probably spotted it in the display case, cut into neat squares or triangles. It's festive, fluffy and perfect for sharing.

The Pillsbury cortadillo cake mix keeps things simple. In just a few steps, you can bake a moist vanilla cake and top it with that signature pink icing layer. It's great for birthdays, family dinners or just because you want something cheerful on the counter.

Then there's chocoflan, also known as pastel imposible. This dessert is famous for its magic trick. You pour in the chocolate cake batter and the flan mixture, and during baking, the layers switch places. The result is a rich chocolate cake topped with creamy flan and finished with caramel sauce. Pillsbury's 16-ounce kit includes the chocolate cake mix, flan mix and caramel sauce pouch. Just add water, oil and eggs and let the oven do the rest.

Sweet, Buttery Cookies for Any Celebration

Mexican wedding cookies round out the trio. These buttery, nut-filled cookies are rolled in powdered sugar and known for their soft, crumbly texture. Sometimes called polvorones, they're often served at weddings, holidays and special gatherings. Pillsbury's version promises that classic nutty flavor and melt-in-your-mouth finish without the guesswork.

Whether you're craving the bright pink charm of cortadillo, the layered surprise of chocoflan, or a plate of powdered-sugar-dusted cookies, these new mixes make it easy to bring traditional flavors to your table.

I Took 20 Solo Trips Last Year, and My Go-to Safety Alarm Is Now on Sale for $30 on Amazon

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

I took 40 flights last year — and nearly all of them were taken solo. There's something freeing and exciting about traveling alone, especially when you're up for exploring every crack and crevice of a new city. However, when you take as many international and domestic trips as I do, and have an urge to explore off the beaten path, maintaining safety for yourself and your loved ones becomes a top priority.

That's why, several years ago, my mother purchased the She's Birdie 3.0 Personal Safety Alarm on Amazon for me to carry around during my travels. And it hasn't left my side since. Luckily, you can add the device to your cart too for 14% off. The alarm originally cost $35, but has been reduced to $30 in 11 colors. I personally own the aqua blue hue, but everything from a burnt orange to a hot pink hue is available.

She's Birdie 3.0 Personal Safety Alarm, From $30 (was $35) at Amazon

Courtesy of Amazon

The device is only 1.25 inches long, 0.6 inches wide, and 3.7 inches tall, so it can easily fit in your purse, wristlet, tote bag, etc. I've stuck it in very small crossbodies, and have even placed it in my back pocket a time or two if I'm attempting to go hands-free for the night. The alarm features a 130-decibel siren and a high-intensity flashing strobe light that activates once you pull the top ring.

For reference, that is very loud, so if you're going to practice with it upon delivery, I recommend doing it in your home or somewhere desolate to avoid scaring those around you. The "stylish" alarm addition features a rechargeable battery that lasts for 120 minutes of continuous sound and light. Luckily, I haven't had to legitimately use it, so it's been fully charged since purchasing. This newer version of the device though can be used as a flashlight by turning it on using the on and off switch, so it comes with a rechargeable USB-C cord when needed.

"I wanted something small and discreet but that can easily alert others if I'm in danger," one reviewer said. "The alarm on this is crazy loud and the flashing light is bright," they continued, adding that it's a "great buy" for personal safety. Shoppers and myself alike also love that it comes with a solid brass keychain, so you can hook it onto your person or an accessory with ease.

Basketball Star Kevin Love Launches Animated Feature Designed To Teach Students Emotional Resilience

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 12:06pm

Basketball star Kevin Love knows what it's like to develop emotional resilience, and he's hoping to help others do the same.

The Utah Jazz forward-center, 37, who previously played for the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, established the Kevin Love Fund in 2018 to inspire people to live their healthiest lives by creating equity between mental and physical health. Now, the baller and mental health advocate's organization has teamed up with Sony Pictures Animation to launch GOAT: Beyond the Game, a free curriculum featuring four lessons inspired by the studio’s latest original animated feature film GOAT.

The curriculum is designed to help students build confidence and resilience, develop a growth mindset, and navigate emotions. The program brings the film’s core themes into the classroom through student activities.

“Being comfortable in your own skin—that's the game-changer, on the court or in life. For years, I held everything in because I thought that's what I was supposed to do. But speaking up and reaching out? That's real strength,” said Love, founder of the Kevin Love Fund. “With GOAT: Beyond the Game, we want kids to see themselves in these characters and know that talking about how you feel isn't a weakness. It's what makes you unstoppable.”

In a new Instagram post, Love talks about his own journey to mental health.

"When I opened up about my panic attack in 2018, I never imagined it would lead to this. Free lessons on emotional wellness and resilience reaching classrooms all across the world," he shared, adding statistics that include 1 in 5 students struggle with difficult emotions and life challenges. "These lessons give them real tools they can use, whether they’re dealing with self-doubt, anger, setbacks, social media overload, or just navigating the ups and downs of growing up."

Understanding Pisces Personality Traits

This water sign is renowned for its ability to romanticize life. Known for being dreamy, empathetic, and soulful, Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter, the planet of love and expansion, and more recently by Neptune, the planet of mysticism, intuition, and unconditional love. As a mutable water sign, Pisces embodies deep sensitivity, compassion, creativity, and an open heart. Their energy is gentle, imaginative, sometimes mysterious, and always magnetic.

Pisces seeks profound connections rather than superficial ones; they desire real magic, emotional bonds, and a love that feels like a safe haven. Associated with the twelfth house, which encompasses dreams, healing, spirituality, and hidden realms, Pisces focuses on intuition, empathy, and the yearning to merge with something greater—be it art, spirit, or love itself. Pisces energy encourages letting go, trusting the flow, and accepting others as they are. When you engage with a Pisces, you are met with devotion, compassion, and an openness to love without limits. If you're looking for surface-level fun or casual encounters, you might want to seek elsewhere. However, if you’re ready for emotional depth and a love that can heal, inspire, and transform, Pisces is your ideal muse.

Yes, Pisces can be escapist, indecisive, or easily overwhelmed by the harshness of life. But that’s because they feel everything so deeply, often absorbing the emotions of those around them. They need space to recharge, dream, and reconnect with their inner world. Compatibility with Pisces is about trust, vulnerability, and honoring each other’s emotional rhythms while holding space for dreams, growth, and creative magic.

Who is Pisces as a Lover, Business Partner, and Friend?

As a lover: Pisces is tender, giving, and romantic to their core. Love with Pisces is like a watercolor…soft, colorful, and impossible to fully define. They crave a connection that transcends words, a safe space where both partners can be vulnerable, silly, and spiritually attuned. Pisces expresses love through poetry, music, small gestures, and acts of empathy. They’ll encourage you to dream bigger, feel more deeply, and heal old wounds with kindness. Sometimes shy or slow to open up, once Pisces trusts you, they love with their whole soul and expect nothing less in return.

As a business partner: Pisces is creative, intuitive, and sensitive to the energy of the team. They’re the visionaries, the healers, and the ones who know how to bring people together. Pisces thrives in environments that value compassion, imagination, and purpose, whether in the arts, the healing professions, or causes that benefit others. They excel with partners who bring structure and clarity to their dreams, helping them turn inspiration into tangible results. The challenge? Pisces can get lost in their imagination or take on too much, so steady, encouraging collaborators help them shine.

As a friend: Pisces is the friend who will sit with you in the dark, make you laugh through tears, and help you believe in miracles again. They’re the confidante, the encourager, and the one who remembers your birthday (and your dreams). Friendship with Pisces is gentle, forgiving, and magical, full of spontaneous adventures, late-night talks, and support through every season. Pisces may sometimes need to retreat, but their loyalty and compassion always run deep.

Who is Pisces Most Compatible With?

When it comes to sun sign compatibility, Pisces feels most at ease with fellow water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), who share their emotional sensitivity and need for connection, and with earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), who bring grounding, stability, and gentle encouragement. There’s soulful chemistry with Cancer and Scorpio, creative magic with Capricorn and Taurus, and a sense of mutual healing with Virgo.

Pisces’s opposite (sister sign) is Virgo. Together, they balance dreams with practicality, fantasy with real-world results, and teach each other the dance of faith and discernment. Pisces’ sextiles to Taurus and Capricorn foster healing, stable bonds, while their trines to Cancer and Scorpio bring emotional safety and depth.

Who is Pisces Least Compatible With?

The least compatible signs for Pisces are the Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and the Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius). These signs may act too impulsively or prioritize logic over feelings, which can be challenging for Pisces. However, every relationship can thrive if both partners are open, honest, and committed to honoring each other's emotions.

As friends, two Pisces will create their own magical universe. They offer each other endless empathy, creative inspiration, and a friendship that feels like home. Whether it’s stargazing, making art, or just being together in silence, their connection is pure soul medicine.

Understanding Pisces Compatibility

Zodiac sign compatibility can be a helpful tool, but it's important to remember that Pisces can find a great match with any star sign—even those considered incompatible! While Sun sign astrology offers beginner-friendly insights, it doesn't take into account the entirety of a person's astrological birth chart. Beyond astrology, experts agree that the most crucial factors in making a relationship work are commitment to growth, curiosity, and self-reflection from everyone involved.

The Popular Habit Oncologists Say Raises Cancer Risk More Than People Realize

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 11:45am

We get it: Absolutely no one wants cancer or even wants to think about getting cancer. The good news is that we've come a long way in treatment and prognoses for many types of cancer, especially when doctors catch them early, thanks to research and modern medicine. Yet, despite all we've learned about the disease, there are still a bunch of things we don't know.

"We are still trying to figure out risk factors for many types of cancer," states Dr. David Yashar, MD, a hematologist-medical oncologist of MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center. "However, there are some clear risk factors that we know about, such as inherited genes, certain environmental factors and certain types of lifestyle factors."

You can't change your genes, but oncologists say you can tweak your habits to lower your cancer risk. In fact, research, including a 2020 Molecular Oncology review, suggests that 30% to 40% of cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes. Yet, often, we take an all-or-nothing approach to habits: We either follow the Mediterranean diet 100% of the time or not at all. We're either couch potatoes or marathoners. Oncologists advocate for a gentler mindset.

"Small, consistent changes in modifiable behaviors can meaningfully reduce cancer risk over a lifetime," shares Dr. Shikha Jain, MDFACP, a triple board-certified hematologist and oncologist and an associate professor at the University of Illinois Cancer Center. "Understanding what’s within your control empowers prevention rather than fear—and allows people to focus energy where it actually makes a difference."

Oncologists recommend focusing your energy on breaking this popular habit that raises cancer risk more than most people realize, and share what to do instead.

The Popular Habit That Raises Cancer Risk More Than People Realize, Oncologists Say

Oncologists warn that a lack of physical activity raises cancer risk. However, too many people don't think about movement as a tool for protecting themselves from cancer.

"A sedentary lifestyle can lead to a person becoming overweight or obese," Dr. Yashar says. "We know that an increased amount of fat causes inflammation, which is a known risk factor for cancer."

He also shares that research indicates there's a link between colorectal cancer and obesity.

Tatiana Meteleva/Getty Images

That said, the scale doesn't tell the whole tale. Dr. Jain shares that you can experience many changes even if you don't gain weight or become obese, including:

  • Metabolic slowdown
  • Reduced muscle glucose uptake
  • Increased insulin resistance
  • Low-grade inflammation
  • Impaired immune function

Dr. Yashar adds that a sedentary lifestyle can trigger an increase in sex hormone production, increasing the risk of hormone-sensitive cancers, such as breast cancer.

What Happens When You Exercise

On the flipside, Dr. Jain states that physical activity:

  • Lowers insulin and inflammatory markers
  • Improves immune surveillance
  • Helps regulate hormones such as estrogen and testosterone
  • Supports healthy body composition
  • Improves gut motility and microbiome health

"Together, these changes create a biological environment that is less favorable for cancer development and progression," she explains.

Indeed, a 2025 British Journal of Sports Medicine study indicated that people who replaced daily sedentary time with light/moderate to vigorous physical activity saw their cancer odds go down by as much as 26%. The CDC says that physical activity can lower your risk of developing at least 8 different cancer types, including:

How Much Do You Have To Exercise for Cancer Risk Reduction?

The oncologists we spoke with pointed to the American Cancer Society guidance to log five
hours per week of moderate-intensity physical activity to decrease cancer risk. It sounds like a lot, but you don't have to do it all in one day.

"This is equivalent to 45 minutes a day of moderate-intensity activity," Dr. Yashar says. "Moderate-intensity activity includes brisk walking, leisurely bicycling, ice skating or roller skating."

These honestly sound pretty fun, and you'll notice they don't require all-out sprints. In fact, the 2025 British Journal of Sports Medicine study found that higher step counts (not pace/intensity) were associated with lower cancer risk.

That said, it's best not to log the recommended physical activity and then sit the rest of the week.

"Emerging data suggest that prolonged sedentary time may increase cancer risk even in people who meet exercise guidelines, similar to what we see with cardiovascular disease," Dr. Jain reports.

Have a desk job? Don't quit it! Instead, make small amounts of time to get movement. She recommends:

  • Stand or move for a few minutes every 30–60 minutes
  • Take walking meetings or phone calls
  • Use sit-stand desks when possible
  • Build movement “snacks” into the day

It's an investment in your health. "Exercise is protective, but it doesn’t completely undo the harms of sitting all day," Dr. Jain reminds us.

The Women's Free Skate final takes place today—Thursday, February 19, 2026—at the Milano Ice Skating Arena. While the full competition spans over four hours, you’ll definitely want to watch during the final two groups, which is when the trio hits the ice.

You can watch in real time starting at 1:00 p.m. ET (airing live on NBC and streaming live on the Peacock app), or see the Primetime Encore at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Where to stream

The Team USA Women's Final Skate final will air live on NBC and stream live on the Peacock app.

If you can't be in front of a TV or mobile screen at 1:00 p.m. ET, no worries! While the event starts at that time, the trio won't be taking the ice until a little later in the competition. These are the tentative times and can be subject to change, but here's how it's looking so far:

Amber Glenn Free Skate Time

Glenn will be the first in the trio to perform around 2:40 p.m. ET. She has already made history as one of the few women to land a Triple Axel in the Olympics. While she is currently in 13th place after a small error, her skate to Madonna's "Like a Prayer" earned praise from the icon herself. "I can’t imagine that you would not win," said Madonna. "So I just want to say good luck. Go get that gold!”

Isabeau Levito Free Skate Time

This Jersey Girl—currently in eighth place—is set to hit the ice around 3:45 p.m ET. She's skating in front of her grandmother, who was actually born in Milan! Her excitement on the ice is palpable. “I loved every minute," Levito told Olympics.com after her short performance. "It makes me feel so good because I get to embody this diva and I can feel it go into my personality and give me confidence."

Alysa Liu Free Skate Time

Currently in third place, Liu will be the last to skate for Team USA—around 4:30 p.m. ET. Believe it or not, she retired in 2022 after burnout, but is back for a historic Olympic run. "Now, skating is a totally different experience," she told NBCOlympics.com. "I get to pick my own program music,” she continued. “I get to help with the creative process of the program. If I feel like I’m skating too much, I’ll back down. If I feel like I’m not skating enough, I’ll ramp it up. No one’s gonna starve me or tell me what I can and can’t eat.”

The Taylor Swift Connection

Keep an eye out for the viral Blade Angels intro hype video narrated by Taylor Swift. It's been playing throughout the broadcast and you can watch it below!

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 11:37am

Just over a month since the death of Bob Weir at 78-years-old, his Grateful Dead band member Mickey Hart has shared a heartfelt tribute to his deceased bandmate in Rolling Stone magazine.

Discussing the late Weir, the 82-year-old Hart made a surprising yet touching confession about both Weir and their equally iconic bandmate Jerry Garcia, the latter of whom passed away in 1995 at the age of 53.

According to Hart, both Weir and Garcia suffered from an acute case of stage fright, something that affected their early on-stage performances. Only through mutual comfort and support were the two able to overcome such a debilitating obstacle in their musical career.

"They both had stage fright, and they knew that being with each other canceled most of that out," Hart remembered. "They hung out together in the same onstage stage and yakked or played something during the break and before the concert. They felt comfortable in each other's presence."

Formed in 1965 in the San Francisco Bay Area, both Garcia and Weir served as two of the founding members of the Grateful Dead alongside Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann and Ron McKernan. Later additions to the band included longtime members Hart, Robert Hunter and John Perry, among several others.

Remaining with the band throughout the Grateful Dead's 30 year run, both Garcia and Weir were recognized for their achievements in the mainstream music industry with the group's induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

One year later, Garcia died of a fatal heart while staying in a California rehab facility. At the time of his death 1995, he was only 53-years-old.

Following the death of Garcia and the end of the Grateful Dead in 1995, Weir remained active in the music industry, even reuniting with ex-bandmates Hart and Kreutzmann as part of the band Dead & Company alongside John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.

On January 10, 2026, Weir died from underlying lung disease at 78-years-old. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, a 'Homecoming' celebration of the artist's life was hosted in San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza in honor of the artist's life, with prominent speakers and performers including Hart, Mayer and Joan Baez.

'Star Trek' Icon Was 'So Disappointed' Meeting 'Heroine' Judy Garland

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 11:37am

Many actors looked up to Judy Garland because of her long career and talent. However, the public later learned how much she struggled privately throughout that time. A Star Trek icon talked about watching her perform as a teenager without that knowledge and found the risk of meeting his hero.

William Shatner told Entertainment Weekly that he saw Garland perform on stage in New York. "And I saw her on stage in Times Square doing a concert — but she was drunk," Shatner, 94, said. The actor revealed what went through his mind at the time. "I kept looking at her thinking, 'My God, she's my heroine. And I think she's drunk," he said. "I was a teenager. I thought, 'Why, she can't possibly be drunk on stage!' And, well, she was, and made no sense. And I was so disappointed."

The first time the TV star saw her again was when they briefly worked together on Judgment at Nuremberg in 1961. "There she was, doing her fragile bit. And it was part of a continuity that I treasure," he said. The actress played Irene Hoffman, who took the stand to testify against Ernst Janning in the trials. Shatner played Capt. Harrison Byers. Maximilian Schell won an Oscar for Best Actor, and Abby Mann won for Best Writing. Garland was nominated for her performance in the movie, but Rita Moreno took home the award for West Side Story.

Shatner grew up in Montreal and later made his Broadway debut in 1956's "Tamburlaine the Great," according to theIrish Times. He was an understudy to another legend, Christopher Plummer. Shatner later made TV history as Kirk in Star Trek. The actor currently lives in Los Angeles, close to his three daughters and five grandchildren. His latest roles are focused on voice acting.

The First Full 'Toy Story 5' Trailer Is Officially Here, Tackles Screen Time, Tech

Thu, 02/19/2026 - 11:36am

Disney has officially released the first full Toy Story 5trailer, and it's clear that Buzz Lightyear, Woody and the entire toy gang will be confronting a brand-new, seemingly insurmountable challenge: technology.

The trailer shows most of the toys—with the exception of Woody, who stayed with Bo Peep at the end of Toy Story 4—living at Bonnie's house and happily playing, until she receives a tablet, called Lilypad. Lilypad wastes no time taking Bonnie's toys' place, as she's shown staring at the screen and then needing to be told her screen time is over. Beloved dinosaur Rex even jokes, "Extinction! Not again," signaling how significant a challenge this will be.

Following these clips, Jessie and Woody speak to one another on a call and compare notes, arriving at the conclusion that tech is taking over both of their lives and has led to toys increasingly being abandoned. Woody solemnly warns Jessie that toys are for play, whereas tech is "for everything," and Jessie expresses concern that she's losing Bonnie to technology.

Technology, and particularly Lilypad, will therefore be the primary antagonist of Toy Story 5, although how exactly the toys will overcome this new harrowing obstacle remains to be seen; after all, this is something that real-life parents have been grappling with for years now.

Perhaps the greatest bright spot of the trailer, despite these concerns, is the reunion of Woody with the rest of the toys—something that audiences have been desperate to see since the shocking revelation at the end of Toy Story 4 that Woody was going his separate way and staying with Bo Peep.

Perhaps with the group of friends finally reunited, they can figure out how to save Bonnie from the perils of screen time and find a way forward in a world that is dominated by technology. The wait to see how this story ends won't be too much longer, as Toy Story 5 will hit theaters on June 19.
