’70s Icon Freddie Mercury's Move on Beloved Actress Receives Clear Response

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:30am

Jane Seymour looked back on what she describes as one of the “greatest memories” of her life, which involved music legend Freddie Mercury.

The British-American actress is celebrated for her memorable roles in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and for being a Bond girl in the 1973 film Live and Let Die, where she played the character of Solitaire.

From her memorable on-screen roles to her award-winning recognition, one of the memories that the 75-year-old star could never forget was her encounter with the late frontman of Queen.

In a TikTok post, Seymour recounted the time when she “married” Freddie Mercury.

Although it wasn't an official walk down the aisle-type of ceremony, the duo took part in the mock wedding as part of the Fashion Aid charity event in London in November 1985.

At the time, the actress was dressed in a lavish wedding gown designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.

“They decided I should be Freddie Mercury's bride,” she said, after the designers chose Seymour as their muse for the collection.

Recalling the experience, she shared that she was dressed in an “extraordinary gown” that she could barely walk in, had a “really huge” hairstyle and a wreath of flowers around her head, plus a huge bouquet that she “could barely carry.”

“I remember at one point I'm backstage and suddenly, I think I'm flanked by David Bowie, Boy George and Freddie Mercury,” she added. "I think they looked right through me, which was hard to do, considering the amount of hair and glamour they had put into it. I was, you have to understand, I was as bridal as you could ever get.”

At one point, the British actress also remembered how Freddie Mercury stole the spotlight with his signature flair on stage.

“Freddie's just prancing off doing Freddie Mercury and I'm supposed to be his bride," the Emmy-winning star shared.

As for her, she matched the late singer’s energy by “running behind like crazy” and as fast as she could, adding that she wore “this huge dress, with this headdress that's killing me, and the flowers I can barely carry, but with a smile on my face."

However, an unexpected gesture struck Seymour. It was after the “We Will Rock You” hitmaker leaned in for a kiss.

“And Freddie just suddenly turns into, like, the groom - and he kisses me! He kisses me. Right in front of everyone,” she reminisced, “And then he grabs my flowers, and he looks at the audience, and he throws them. This thing - if it hit somebody, it could seriously have hurt them.”

Seymour saw the experience as something incredibly special and unforgettable.

The fashion event was among the music legend’s philanthropic moments following the success of the Live Aid concert on July 13, 1985, where he stunned fans with a solid 21-minute set, singing the band’s timeless hits from "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Radio Ga Ga" and "We Are the Champions,” and more.

This was also cited as one of the greatest live rock performances in history, according to People.

1973 Hit Everyone Loved, But Few Realized Was by the Beach Boys

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:21am

In 1973, The Beach Boys released a song that everyone loved, but few realized hailed from the hitmaking band.

"Sail On, Sailor" was included in the band's LP Holland. The group traveled to the Netherlands to record the LP after finding success there on the charts.

According to American Songwriter, the Beach Boys' record company, Warner Bros., didn't believe there was a single to promote Holland on the LP. Van Dyke Parks, Brian Wilson's writing partner during the Smile sessions, encouraged Wilson to write a song that they could use as a single.

Several years prior, Wilson had penned "Sail On, Sailor" alongside Ray Kennedy and Danny Hutton for Three Dog Night, who never recorded the song. Wilson retooled it alongside Tandyn Almer and Jack Rieley.

As reprinted by American Songwriter, Wilson wrote in the liner notes for Beach Boys Classics Selected by Brian Wilson, “Van Dyke really inspired this one. We worked on it originally, and then the other collaborators added some different lyrics."

"By the time the Beach Boys recorded it, the lyrics were all over the place. But I love how this song rocks.”

The song was first released in February 1973, peaking at just No. 79. Two years later, a rerelease saw it climb higher, and by May 1975, it reached No. 49 on the charts.

However, no one realized it was the iconic group upon first listen. That's because the lead singer on the song is Blondie Chaplin. "Sail On, Sailor" is one of the band's few well-known songs not sung by Mike Love, Brian Wilson, or Carl Wilson

Richard E. Aaron/Redferns

According to fans discussing the track in a 2013 Steve Hoffman Music Forum, the song does echo the band's sound. However, upon first listen, many didn't make the connection.

"I was hearing this song in my head and was trying to remember who sang it...was going to add it to my smooth/yacht rock playlist. When Googling I kept seeing Beach Boys pop up but I just kept whizzing by convinced that it couldn't be them. I eventually clicked on it and couldn't believe it. I had no idea," one listener wrote.

"I remember being surprised it was the Beach Boys when it was first released. I had heard the song quite a bit and had no idea whose song it was," a second penned.

A third noted that "Sail On, Sailor" was "not your typical Beach Boys release. Love it."

Despite not being a massive hit at first, the song has endured over the years, becoming a beloved part of the Beach Boys’ legacy that still surprises fans today.

Nancy Guthrie Update: New Details on Suspect Situation Revealed by Law Enforcement Insider

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:12am

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing more than eight weeks after the abduction from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and a law enforcement insider just revealed new details on the suspect situation.

On Thursday, April 2, NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin spoke with someone with inside knowledge of the Pima County Sheriff's Department's investigation into Nancy's disappearance.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

The insider—whose identity was protected for fear of retaliation—was an insider from the law enforcement community in Tucson. He offered new insight into whether investigators have named a suspect in the 84-year-old's case, but perhaps are just not publicly sharing that information.

“The people I’ve talked to that are still in the know on this investigation tell me that there’s no direct suspect right now," the source told Entin. "No name on the table.”

When asked if he thought it was shocking that no suspect has been named now that the investigation has passed the two-month mark, the insider began by calling out those leading the case.

“Not with how the investigation has gone so far," he bluntly stated. "I mean, you have individuals that are either lucky as hell or more cunning than a lot of people have seen in the past."

He continued, "If you take the first, extremely lucky, maybe his luck will run out, but so far it hasn’t. But if you take the second one, that he was extremely cunning, there’s a chance that he may have covered his tracks so well that we may not find out what happened.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Entin's anonymous source pointed out that the lead investigator in Nancy's investigation had never worked a homicide case before.

Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on the evening of Jan. 31. Despite a $1 million reward from Savannah, no one has come forward with information leading to her recovery.

'Daredevil' Was Planned as Movies Until One Key Problem Changed Everything

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:11am

When Marvel's Daredevil returned in 2015, it carved out a darker, grittier corner of the superhero world that felt unlike anything else at the time.

What most viewers never knew is that this version of Daredevil was originally planned as a series of films. The reason that plan was scrapped comes down to one realization. Marvel discovered the story simply could not fit inside a movie.

Early development explored bringing Daredevil back as a two-film arc, designed to reintroduce Matt Murdock with a more serious tone. As the creative team dug deeper, they hit a fundamental problem. The character's world depended on slow-building tension, legal drama, and long-form character development. Compressing that into a two-hour runtime meant losing the very elements that made Daredevil compelling.

A film version would have forced the story into a traditional superhero format, pushing large-scale action to the front while burying the more personal conflicts at the heart of Matt Murdock's journey. Courtroom strategy, moral ambiguity, the gradual rise of Wilson Fisk / Kingpin as a credible villain, much of it would have been rushed or cut entirely. The version of Daredevil that made the character worth revisiting in the first place depended on the kind of storytelling that a film format couldn't sustain.

Marvel chose to completely change the format instead of rewriting the story.

The project moved to Netflix, where a serialized approach let the story unfold across multiple episodes. That decision gave Daredevil room to build, with characters evolving at a natural pace and tension building naturally rather than pushed by a runtime. Wilson Fisk became one of the most fully realized villains in the Marvel universe because the series took the time to build him from the ground up with his background, psychology, and capacity for both violence and vulnerability.

Related: Even Daredevil's Showrunner Finds the Real-World Parallels 'Chilling'

The first season earned widespread praise for its grounded tone and layered storytelling. The hallway fight sequence in Season 2 became one of the most discussed action scenes in superhero television due to its gritty realism. Critics and audiences recognized that the show was fully exploiting the complexity and street-level origins of the comic book source material.

That success opened the door for other Marvel Netflix series and helped establish a template for character-driven superhero storytelling that prioritized depth over scale.

With Daredevil: Born Again continuing that legacy, the significance of that early format decision is even clearer. A concept that started as a two-film pitch became one of Marvel's most influential television productions because the studio recognized what the material required before locking it into the wrong format.

Martha Stewart’s Favorite Luggage Brand Just Dropped a Sleek New Vintage Carry-On

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:10am

If there's one thing Martha Stewart knows better than anyone, it’s how to travel with effortless, high-performance style. The lifestyle icon has never been shy about her devotion to Rimowa, the German powerhouse behind those iconic aluminum grooved suitcases.

Whether she’s jetting off to the Winter Games in Italy or heading to a weekend at her farm in Bedford, Martha has consistently called the brand her "favorite" for its durability and "smooth-as-silk" wheels that glide over everything from airport tile to uneven cobblestones.

View this post on Instagram

Now, the brand Martha put on the map for a new generation of travelers just dropped a limited-edition piece that feels like a total collector's item. The Rimowa Classic Aluminum Grid Cabin is a stunning, retro-inspired reimagining of an archival design from 1969. While we’ve long seen Martha sporting the classic silver grooves, this new version swaps the stripes for an embossed, geometric grid texture that gives the bag a structured, "conversation starter" vibe.

View this post on Instagram

What makes us—and likely Martha—so obsessed? It’s the perfect marriage of vintage aesthetic and modern muscle. Each suitcase is individually numbered (from 0001 to 1969), making it feel more like a piece of art than a piece of luggage.

It features Italian full-grain cowhide leather handles for that "old-world" travel feel, but inside, it’s all 2026 tech: a stage-free telescopic handle for custom height adjustment and the legendary Multiwheel System that ensures you’ll never struggle with a snagged wheel again.

Parade.com: Martha Stewart Just Posted Her Travel Look—And It's Peak Effortless Chic

At $2,725, it’s a major investment, but as Martha has proven over decades of frequent flying, a high-quality suitcase is the ultimate travel companion. With a shipping date estimated for April, you’ll want to move fast—because if there is anything that sells out faster than a D23 ticket, it’s a limited-run Rimowa.

The "Stealth Wealth" Alternative

Let’s be real: a four-figure suitcase may only be in the budget for someone with Martha’s empire. If you love the look but aren’t ready to drop $2,700 on a carry-on, there is a "stealth wealth" find we’re currently loving from Quince. Their $275 Aluminum Carry-On is a suspiciously good alternative that gives off serious first-class energy on a basic economy budget.

While it lacks the limited-edition grid embossing, it hits all the high-end notes: a durable aluminum body, Japanese-crafted Hinomoto 360° spinner wheels, and those crucial leather-wrapped handles that make a difference when you're hauling your life up an airplane gate.

It even features a zipperless design with dual TSA-approved locks. As I’ve noted before, the best part of a $275 investment is the "scuff factor"—you can actually let the baggage handlers have at it without the heartbreak that comes with scratching a $2,000 piece of art.

1983 Hit Song Is Climbing the Charts Again Thanks to HBO Max's New Comedy

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:22am

The ’80s are alive and well thanks to the killer, nostalgia-heavy soundtrack of HBO Max’s new hit comedy Rooster. While the Steve Carellstarrer takes place in the modern day, the soundtrack incorporates some of the best hits of the 1980s, creating an emotional connection with Gen Xers while introducing iconic ’80s tunes to an entirely new generation of TV viewers.

The Soundtrack Behind Rooster Season 1

The Season 1 Rooster soundtrack plays a major role in setting the tone of the show and features some of the best of the 1980s, including "Age of Consent" by New Order, "Only You" by Yaz, and "Kiss Off" by Violent Femmes.

The Season 1 soundtrack of Rooster also features Fun Boy Three’s iconic 1983 cover of The Go-Go’s’ "Our Lips Are Sealed." With newfound attention on the track, "Our Lips Are Sealed" is climbing the music charts once again.

The Story Behind "Our Lips Are Sealed"

The Fun Boy Three version of "Our Lips Are Sealed" was originally released in 1983 and offers a more stripped-down, reggae-influenced take on the Go-Go’s frothy pop version. The Fun Boy Three version didn’t achieve the same level of commercial success on U.S. charts as The Go-Go’s original version released in 1981, but it climbed the charts in the UK and Ireland and is considered one of the most iconic cover songs of the ’80s.

Why Rooster Is Connecting With Audiences

If you haven’t yet started streaming Rooster and you’re a fan of Ted Lasso, Shrinking, or Bad Monkey, this show is for you. A character-driven comedy that follows a flawed but charismatic writer—played by Carell—navigating his own relationships as he attempts to right the wrongs of his life. The show, created by Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses of Scrubs fame, blends razor-sharp humor with emotionally driven storytelling, often focusing on themes of reinvention, identity, and the messy realities of getting older.

The Power of an ’80s Soundtrack

The ’80s-heavy Rooster soundtrack is a defining element of the show and serves it both stylistically and emotionally. Tracks like "Our Lips Are Sealed" carry a mix of nostalgia, moodiness, and introspection, which mirror the themes of Carell’s attempts at reinvention.

The retro soundtrack also connects audiences across generations, from those who remember the songs firsthand (raises hand) to those discovering them for the very first time.

The combination of nostalgia and emotional connection turns the Rooster Season 1 soundtrack from background music into a full-on character in the show.

What the Easter Bunny Put in Your Basket, Based on Your Birth Month

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:12am

Get egg-cited, because Easter is almost here! Easter day will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, so there’s not much time left to give the Easter Bunny gift ideas. Given the many options, it can be challenging to figure out what someone is looking forward to seeing in their Easter basket. Luckily, the Easter Bunny can find the perfect gift, based on someone’s birth month. Astrologers and spiritual experts agree that each birth month may want a certain something special in their Easter basket. Each birth month has distinct preferences due to its unique cosmic energy. Some may look forward to a particular candy eaten only on Easter day, while others might be waiting for new clothes or springtime toys. Read on to discover what each birth month wants in their Easter basket.

FOLLOW-UP: What Each Zodiac Sign Wants In Their Easter Basket

Here’s What You Want in Your Easter Basket, Based on Your Birth Month

Check for the month you were born for pro insights.

January: Cadbury Eggs

All people born in January look for something classic yet distinct in their Easter basket. January’s Capricorns love tried-and-true Easter-themed candies, whereas January’s Aquarians want something more unique than stereotypical Easter treats. With that in mind, the only thing people with this birth month are looking forward to seeing in their Easter baskets is Cadbury chocolate eggs. All January babies love the rich chocolate and crunchy, pastel-colored shells that Cadbury chocolate eggs are beloved for.

February: Games & Puzzles

Keeping a February baby entertained on Easter is hard. All February-born need constant stimulation to keep up with their mix of zany, rebellious Aquarius and dreamy, elusive Pisces energies. Luckily, the Easter Bunny knows to leave them plenty of games and puzzles in their Easter basket. Those born in February will be endlessly entertained if they have a new deck of cards, a spring-themed puzzle, or a workbook laden with activities to play with until it’s time for the egg hunt.

March: Stuffed Animal

A new stuffed animal is waiting in March’s Easter basket. Stuffed animals will always appeal to a March-born’s loving Pisces nature and enchanted Aries heart. Not only do March babies enjoy snuggling with their stuffies, but they also love playing with them and making up little games. Whether it’s a trendy Jellycat or a fuzzy bag charm, all people born in March will undoubtedly be grateful to receive a brand-new stuffed animal that will stay with them long after Easter.

April: Jump Rope

Hop to it, those born in April! In addition to celebrating all April babies’ birthdays this month, they also get to look forward to Easter festivities. Between having an enthusiastic Aries attitude and a steadfast Taurus mindset, there’s one thing an April-born looks forward to on Easter—jump rope. Candy and stuffed animals are awesome gifts, but there’s nothing like a brand-new jump rope to keep an April-born busy. Plus, they can play games like Double Dutch with their cousins and siblings throughout Easter day.

May: Jellybeans

A fun, colorful Easter basket will always pique a May-born’s interest. Those born in May are a combination of sweet-tooth Taurus and open-minded Gemini. All brightly colored goodies will catch their eye, but they’re particularly keen on jellybeans. From classic to fruity and everything in between, people born in May love trying the different jellybean flavors to see what matches their vibrancy. Trust that May-born will always eagerly anticipate jelly beans in their Easter basket.

EXPAND: These 4 Birth Dates Have Emotional Resilience

June: Bubbles

Finding the perfect gift for a June baby is easier than one may think. People born in June have a delightful Gemini curiosity and a nostalgic Cancerian attitude, so they typically look for something familiar yet fun in their Easter baskets. Although there are many cozy gifts to receive, bubbles will always thrill a June-born. With so many options to choose from, like colored bubbles and scented bubbles, a June-born will be entertained blowing bubbles throughout Easter day.

July: Chocolate Bunny

Is there anything better than getting a chocolate bunny on Easter? Those born in July are a mix of old school Cancer and dazzling Leo, so they want something classic yet grand. While there are many strong contenders, all a July-born wants is a decadent chocolate bunny. A chocolate bunny is an unbeatable Easter treat that always hits the spot. July-born know they can count on a chocolate bunny to satisfy their sweet tooth while enjoying the holiday festivities.

August: Coloring Books

The Easter Bunny knows exactly what an August baby wants. All August-born share Leo’s creativity and Virgo’s particularity. They aren’t easily impressed by many gifts, but a coloring book with new markers, colored pencils, and crayons will always appeal to them. People born in August love spending hours carefully coloring their masterpieces to show off to their family. Not to mention that coloring books are the perfect activity to calm down the nervous Virgoan energy all August babies possess.

RELATE?: Your '70s Hit Song, Based on Your Birth Month

September: Easter Outfit

Those born in September love dressing up for any occasion, and Easter is no exception. September babies embody Virgo’s eye for detail and Libra’s love for style, so they enjoy putting together outfits to celebrate holiday festivities with their loved ones. The best thing they can receive in their basket is a brand-new outfit meant to be worn on Easter day. Pay attention to September’s preferences for colors, patterns, and silhouettes to give a fashionable outfit that genuinely impresses them.

October: Festive Accessories

People born in October look forward to fun trinkets that elevate their outfits during the holidays. People born in October share Libra’s fashionable sensibilities and Scorpio’s desire to be utterly captivating. There’s no doubt that they’ll appreciate thoughtful accessories left in their Easter basket. Some October babies will look forward to wearing their very own bunny ears, while others may wish for new shoes or jewelry. Whatever it might be, October will love their new accessories.

CUTE!: What Kind of Grandparent You Are, Based on Your Birth Month

November: Arts & Craft Kit

November-borns are picky about their Easter baskets. They know what they like, thanks to having a perceptive Scorpio mind and an experienced Sagittarius outlook. Finding the right candy or accessories can be stressful, but an arts and crafts kit will always be a crowd pleaser. Whether they’re putting together a cute diorama or learning to crochet a stuffed animal, a November-born will be so thankful to receive a new arts and craft kit.

December: Peeps

December-born cannot wait to find Peeps in their Easter basket. Between their eager Sagittarius attitude and traditional Capricorn taste, all December-born love that Peeps will always be part of their Easter traditions. They might be impartial to the customary Peeps, or they might want to try one of the new, innovative flavors. Regardless, those born in December truly enjoy these sugary, marshmallow confections, especially if they can win a good-natured game of Chubby Bunny.

One of Disney’s Most Beloved Original Restaurants Is Closing Down for Good

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:10am

The sounds of prehistoric roars have officially been replaced by the hum of excavators at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This week, the transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. into the highly anticipated Tropical Americas (officially named Pueblo Esperanza) reached a visible turning point: the systematic dismantling of the beloved Restaurantosaurus.

As of April 2, 2026, the iconic Airstream trailer that served as a centerpiece for the restaurant’s "paleontology student" theme has been completely demolished. While the main building currently remains standing, a new demolition permit and active heavy machinery suggest the structure is being prepped for its next life.

According to current plans, the facility won't be entirely leveled; instead, it is being extensively remodeled into a massive hacienda-style quick-service location that Disney promises will be one of the largest dining spots in all of Walt Disney World.

What’s Replacing the Dinosaurs?

The 11-acre Pueblo Esperanza is slated for a 2027 opening, and the scale of the new land is already becoming clear from the guest pathways. Here is what is currently rising behind those construction walls:

  • The Encanto Attraction: A massive new show building is already vertical. This family-friendly dark ride will take guests inside the Madrigal family’s Casita on the day Antonio receives his gift of communicating with animals.
  • Indiana Jones Adventure: While the DINOSAUR ride officially closed on February 1, 2026, the building is being repurposed for a brand-new Indy story. Because the track and ride system are already in place, work here is focused on a total scenic overhaul to transform the "Dino Institute" into an ancient temple.
  • The Wood-Carved Carousel: A new centerpiece attraction featuring hand-carved animals from classic Disney stories is also under construction near the center of the village.

Where to Eat in the Meantime

With the loss of the DinoLand food hall, the park’s dining footprint has shifted. To fill the gap, Harambe Market recently reopened with an updated menu that includes fan favorites like burgers and hot dogs alongside its traditional African-inspired fare.

While the "fossils" may be gone, the "Village of Hope" is moving fast. If you're visiting this spring, the best views of the Encanto construction are actually from the bridge leading into Expedition Everest—you can really see just how much larger this new land's footprint will be compared to the old DinoLand.

Trader Joe's Shoppers Are Obsessed With This Seasonal Cheese—and Say It Tastes Like Dessert

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:05am

Trader Joe's seasonal finds have a way of turning into full-blown obsessions, and this spring, one item is already getting that treatment. Shoppers are flocking to the cheese section for a returning favorite that somehow walks the line between sweet treat and savory staple—and once you try it, it's easy to see why.

Trader Joe's Baked Lemon Ricotta Cheese is only available for a limited time, and like many of the grocer's cult favorites, it tends to sell out quickly. Between its creamy texture, bright lemon flavor and surprising versatility, this is one of those items people wait all year to grab—and then immediately wish they had bought more of.

😋😋SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳🍔

This Trader Joe's Cheese Is Back—and It's Unlike Anything Else in the Case

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's Baked Lemon Ricotta Cheese is made in Southern Italy using fresh milk, salt and whey. The curds are blended with a sweet lemon paste (including lemon peel, extract and sugar), then baked at low temperatures until set.

It's lightly sweet, subtly citrusy and has a soft, almost cheesecake-like texture. In fact, many shoppers say that if you tasted it blind, you might assume you were eating a slice of lemon cheesecake rather than a ricotta-based cheese.

It's also one of the pricier options in the cheese case at around $13.99 per pound, but it's typically sold in smaller wedges, making it easy to try without committing to a full splurge.

All the Ways to Enjoy It

Part of what makes this cheese so popular is its versatility. You can treat it like a dessert, a snack or even work it into a meal depending on your mood.

Some shoppers keep it simple and eat it straight from the wedge, while others pair it with cookies or crackers for a more classic cheesecake-style experience. Graham crackers, ginger snaps and lemon cookies are especially popular choices for bringing out their dessert-like flavor.

Others choose to go the savory route. It works surprisingly well on a cheese board alongside fruit, or even stirred into warm pasta for a creamy, lemony finish. Some fans even use it in breakfast dishes like pancakes or French toast for a richer twist.

Fans Say It Tastes Like Cheesecake—and They Can't Get Enough

If there's one thing shoppers agree on, it's that this isn't your typical cheese, but the reactions go beyond just comparing it to dessert. Across Reddit and Facebook groups, the conversation quickly turns into how fast it disappears once you bring it home.

In Reddit's Trader Joe's community, one shopper admitted they "just eat the wedge by itself," while another joked that the best way to enjoy it is simply "a fork!" One commenter summed up the experience: it's "easy to eat the entire thing" in one sitting.

On Facebook, the tone is just as dramatic. One shopper laughed, "You're welcome or I'm sorry," after recommending it to others, while another called it "dangerously delicious" after trying it as a sample.

And then there's the scramble to find it. Because it's only around for a limited time, some shoppers say they've missed it entirely in past seasons, while others grab multiple wedges at once just in case it sells out again.

That mix of hype, impulse buying and FOMO is part of what makes this cheese find stand out. It's not just that it tastes good—it's that once people try it, they don't want to risk missing it again.

1979 Soft Rock Hit Makes Chart Debut Nearly 50 Years Later After Going Viral

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:01am

Chris Rainbow’s lost soft rock gem, “Be Like a Rainbow,” is back on the radar, nearly 50 years after its release. And it’s all thanks to social media

Written and performed by the Scottish singer-songwriter, the 1979 classic off his album White Trails experienced a modest start commercially, with cult circles appreciating the song for its rich vocal harmonies and soft rock/power pop sensibilities akin to The Beach Boys, but mainstream audiences missed the memo entirely.

View this post on Instagram

Fast-forward to March 7, 2026, and Rainbow’s tune finally debuted on the Billboard charts, hitting No. 22 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. The surge in popularity is being driven by TikTok and Instagram, where users are pairing the dreamy track with sentimental moments, romantic reflections, nostalgic aesthetics, or something else entirely ironic.

The lyrics, which encourage a partner to live freely but also celebrate femininity ("Do what you want, but be like a woman to me"), have sparked deep dives into the song and personal interpretations. Fans are not only embracing the song’s message but also rediscovering Rainbow’s full discography. Reworking “what’s old is new again,” the tune is proof that what once was overlooked can always become a viral sensation later on.

Chris Rainbow, born Christopher James Harley, passed away following a battle with Parkinson’s disease on Feb. 22, 2015, at the age of 68 at his home in Scotland. His work as a solo artist as well as his contributions to The Alan Parsons Project, Camel, and the Wild Bunch remain influential. And now, decades later, “Be Like a Woman” is finding a whole new audience -- and proving that timeless music can be reborn for a new generation of listeners.

'It Is Finished'—30 Good Friday Bible Verses to Reflect on Christ's Sacrifice

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 6:00am

Each spring, we put a lot of focus on the Easter holiday. It's a joyous occasion that celebrates Jesus' resurrection and the hope we have for eternal life. However, Good Friday is also an important day to reflect. It's a more somber event, as it commemorates the day Jesus died on the cross.

There is a heaviness that's felt from remembering how Jesus was arrested and brutally crucified to take on the punishment for our sins. He didn't deserve any of it, but loved us enough to do it. There are many Good Friday verses in the Bible that refer to this day of crucifixion and all that Christ had to go through.

Whether you attend a Good Friday service at your church or not, it's a good idea to meditate on the scriptures pertaining to Christ's sacrifice. Although it is somber to think about, it makes the Easter celebration that much more significant. Then, because we have so much to be thankful for, we truly enjoy celebrating and getting together with our families for Easter dinner and all the festivities that go with it.

No matter how terrible this injustice to Jesus was, it was the divine plan from the beginning and didn't just randomly happen to Him. He allowed it. Here are some of the best scriptures to reflect on this Good Friday. Although they are heavy, they lead up to the most joyous occasion: the resurrection.

Iconic Soap Opera Star With Daytime Emmy Award Turns 85

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 5:55am

Eric Braeden — the iconic soap opera star who plays Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless — celebrates his 85th birthday today.

On Friday, April 3, the legendary actor and oldest Y&R cast member just marked another trip around the sun as he turned 85.

Braeden joined the long-running soap opera in 1980, originally under a short-term contract. Fast-forward to today, and he has portrayed the Newman patriarch for more than 45 years — even snagging a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1998. And he has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

"I personally don’t celebrate much. You just sit back and you allow yourself to say, 'Whoa, that’s a long time.' I'm not someone who rests on laurels. I don’t do that," he told Today in June 2025. "I’m always future oriented. I'm always (asking), 'What's next? Let's go.'"

Thankfully for fans, retirement seems to be the furthest thing from Braeden's mind. “I love doing what I’m doing," he explained. "I love doing it. I don’t know why, but I do."

In addition to playing the longtime partner of Nikki Reed Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) on Y&R, Braeden has found the time to snag other roles through the years. They include films like Titanic (1997), Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971), The Man Who Came Back (2008), and more. TV-wise, Braeden also has credits in The Nanny, How I Met Your Mother, Hope & Faith, The Bold and the Beautiful (also as Victor Newman), Charlie's Angels, Murder, She Wrote, and Lucky Chances, among others.

Braeden has been married to his wife, Dale Russell Gudegast, since 1966. They share one son, Christian Gudegast, 56, who is a screenwriter, director, and producer. In 2018, Braeden and Christian worked together on the film Den of Thieves.

In April 2023, Braeden announced that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He shared a health update that August with positive news.

“The reason I want to talk to you tonight is I want to tell you I’m grateful for all of your good thoughts and your prayers,” he said during a Facebook livestream. “It’s meant a great deal to me, and I can tell you it obviously has helped, because I had my last cystoscopy two days ago — that’s when they thread a camera into your bladder — and I’m cancer-free. They couldn’t find a damn thing. Isn’t that nice?”

1975 Love Song No One Wanted to Release Became a No. 1 Hit for Frankie Valli

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 5:53am

In 1975, Frankie Valli had a chart-topping hit with a love song no one else wanted, until it turned into a No. 1 sensation.

“My Eyes Adored You” was a soft, sentimental love song where Valli reflected on a romance that never quite came to be, but never really left him. There’s a quiet ache beneath his plea for love that lingers long after the music fades.

Valli was carving out a career as a solo singer around the same time his longtime band, The Four Seasons, faced a career decline after years as a chart-topping group. In the early '70s, the band was signed to Motown Records, per American Songwriter, but made little headway.

Per Stereogum, “My Eyes Adored You” sat unreleased for about a year and a half. After recording two albums for the label, Valli and his collaborators tried to buy back the Motown masters but ultimately settled on taking just one track from the sessions instead, written by Bob Crewe and Kenny Nolan, paying the label $4K for the song.

The single then made the rounds of music labels, but all of them passed except for one, Private Stock, which wanted the song credited as a Valli solo release. It ended up hitting the top of the Billboard charts, and was the first time Valli had a solo No. 1.

According to Songfacts, the song's lyrics were tweaked to reflect Valli's New Jersey roots. The lyrics, "Walking home every day over Barnegat Bridge and Bay," are a reference to the New Jersey coastline.

The song takes listeners through a relationship that wasn't meant to be. "Funny, I seemed to find, that no matter how the years unwind. Still I reminisce 'bout the girl I miss, And the love I left behind," its lyrics reveal.

“My Eyes Adored You” not only revived Frankie Valli’s career but also helped reignite the success of The Four Seasons. The band made a major comeback with new lead singer Don Ciccone, who joined Valli in sharing lead vocals on the hit “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night).” The song would reach No. 1 in March 1976, according to History.

Frankie Valli is 91 years old and still taking the stage, bringing his iconic voice to audiences around the world.

1976 One-Hit Wonder Took Months to Get Airplay—50 Years Later It Remains a Soft Rock Classic

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 5:27am

In September 1975, Starbuck recorded their debut single, “Moonlight Feels Right.” The song, written by Bruce Blackman, featured easy, romantic lyrics and a standout marimba hook. But with no promotional power for the new band, the song didn’t have a clear radio niche, and it initially got no traction.

Blackman and marimba player Bo Wagner decided to promote the song themselves. On Blackman’s Moonlight Feels Right website, he shared, “Bo and I bought 500 of our records. He went east, and I went west, and we took them to radio stations."

In April 1976, “Moonlight Feels Right” made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100. The song peaked at No. 3 on the chart in July of that year, making it a summertime staple and future yacht rock classic.

Blackman was inspired to write the song when he met his future wife

The inspiration for “Moonlight Feels Right” came in an interesting way.  In 2015, Blackman told Chattanooga Radio and TV he was inspired to write the song when he saw a newspaper photo of an unbelievably beautiful girl in a local beauty pageant and sought her out by registering for classes at the college she attended.

“I did meet her and asked her out three times,” he recalled. “The third time she accepted, and that’s when ‘the wind blew some luck in my direction.’ The song then became a light fictional fantasy about what I hoped would happen.”

Not only did Blackman get a hit song out of the situation, but he went on to marry the beautiful girl.

The song was originally turned down by multiple record labels

Nearly 50 years after the success of “Moonlight Feels Right,” Blackman detailed the song’s recording history in an interview with Goldmine magazine. After personally pitching the song to Atlanta music producer Bill Lowery, Starbuck received three hours of studio time for the following week.

“That is when we recorded ‘Moonlight Feels Right,” Blackman told the outlet. “We had to record two songs in the three-hour session and barely made it. Lynyrd Skynyrd was coming in behind us, so we had to get out.”

“After we recorded our music, Lowery shipped it out,” Blackman added. “And it was turned down by every major label in America for two reasons. They would say, ‘It’s not southern rock and it’s not disco.’  …. Private Stock was the last label we went to, and they liked ‘Moonlight Feels Right,’ but wanted us to cut the marimba solo out, saying it was too long. I don’t know how I had the guts to refuse to do that, but I did.”

Next up was the long push to promote the record.

“We actually released it in late 1975, but nobody noticed,” Blackman told Chattanooga Radio and TV. “We went to every radio station that had a tower in the backyard, just asking them to take three minutes to listen to our song.”

Finally, a Birmingham, Alabama station took notice, and it got the record label’s attention. “That song literally heated up,” Blackman said. “The hotter it got outside, the more people wanted to hear it. It is truly a summertime hit.”

Blackman also had no problem being given the “one-hit wonder" label.

“People ask me if I resent being called a one-hit wonder,” he said in the 2015 interview. “No sir. Stop and think about it. Most singers can’t get a record deal, and if they do, they don’t score a hit. I’ve got this little song that has given me a great life. …I am one of the luckiest people alive. That one song has made me a comfortable living, and I still love it today.”
