Religious Cult Responsible For Horrific Child Sex Abuse Is The Basis Of Netflix’s ‘Trust Me: The False Prophet’

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 1:38pm

When cult expert and researcher Christine Marie and her videographer husband, Tolga Katas, decided to secretly document the aftermath of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) following the imprisonment of former leader Warren Jeffs, they didn’t expect to uncover the horrific child sex abuse hidden beneath the surface.

That discovery is the basis of the upcoming Netflix four-part documentary, Trust Me: The False Prophet, streaming on the platform beginning April 8.

Per Netflix, the documentary, which includes the secret footage recorded by Marie and Katas, “chronicles the rise of Samuel Bateman, the self-proclaimed heir to Jeffs, as seen through the eyes of the couple who infiltrated his inner circle as they gain Bateman’s trust and uncover evidence…revealing the depths of his control and the women brave enough to speak up.”

The director of the documentary, Emmy-award winner Rachel Dretzin, also helmed another Mormon-based docuseries for the streamer with 2025’s Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey.

Dretzin told Netflix’s Tudum that her involvement in the project began after meeting with Marie and Katas, and seeing their disturbing footage documenting the ongoing child sexual abuse of young girls.

Trust Me offers intimate access to a normally closed world — and in doing so, I hope it exposes both the violence that enforced secrecy enables and what it takes to tell the truth when everything is at stake,” she said.

“What these women did matters far beyond their community. It is a blueprint for how to dismantle even the most entrenched systems of abuse,” Dretzin added.

Polygamist Bateman, who had more than 20 wives, which reportedly included one of his own daughters in addition to several other minors, was indicted in 2022 due to engaging in "group sex" with some of the minor girls and watching them be sexually abused, according to the FBI affidavit obtained by The Washington Post. The minor girls ranged in age from 11 to 16.

He is currently serving a 50-year prison sentence after entering a guilty plea to conspiracy to transport a minor for sex and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, per PEOPLE.

Jamie Lee Curtis Just Revealed a Heartbreaking Connection Between Her Daughter and Rob Reiner's Murder

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 1:30pm

Jamie Lee Curtis is opening up about one of the most painful chapters of her life, along with the heartbreaking timing that made it even harder to bear.

The actress, 67, appeared on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson's podcast IMO on Wednesday, April 1, where she emotionally reflected on the murders of her close friends Rob and Michele Reiner. What made the moment even more devastating for Curtis was the date—the couple were killed on December 14, 2025, the same day as Curtis's daughter Annie Guest's birthday. "Rob and Michelle are her godparents," Curtis told listeners, her voice breaking in the process.

Curtis revealed that Annie, 39, gave birth to her first child the very next week, a collision of joy and sorrow that the Oscar winner described as "life on life's harshest terms and life on life's most beautiful, perfect terms." Curtis said, "My beautiful daughter who loved [the Reiners]—as we all did—managed to be able to metabolize her grief and sadness, as we all have had to do."

Curtis was among the first to publicly mourn the couple following their deaths. In a statement to Variety at the time, she and husband Christopher Guest described themselves as "numb and sad and shocked about the violent, tragic deaths of [their] dear friends," adding, "Our ONLY focus and care right now is for their children and immediate families and we will offer all support possible to help them. We have lost great friends. Please give us time to grieve."

READ MORE: Police Were Called to Rob Reiner’s Home Twice Before He and His Wife Were Killed

Rob was 78 and Michele 70 when they were found dead in their Los Angeles home, both victims of multiple sharp force injuries, according to the LA County Medical Examiner's Office. Their deaths were ruled a homicide, and the following day, their middle child Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Nick, who had struggled with drug addiction and was diagnosed with schizophrenia prior to the killings, faces life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 29.

Orlando Bloom Shares Rare Photos of His Daughter

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 1:21pm

Actor Orlando Bloom is a pretty private person when it comes to his kids. But the father of two recently shared a series of sweet snapshots on Instagram, including pics of his daughter Daisy. And fans can’t get enough of the daddy-daughter post.

Who are Orlando Bloom’s children?

While moviegoers might know him as Legolas from The Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean’s Will Turner, two very special kiddos know Orlando Bloom as “dad.” The actor has two children—Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom (born January 2011) with ex Miranda Kerr and Daisy Dove Bloom (born August 2020) with ex Katy Perry

How does Orlando Bloom protect his children’s privacy?

It isn’t easy growing up in the spotlight. With the paparazzi at every turn, celeb parents have a tricky time keeping their kiddos’ identities private. But famous fathers, like Bloom, have a way of sharing a few special moments on social media without exposing their children to the public. Instead of showing his daughter’s face, Bloom covers it with an emoji and uses angles that completely obscure her identity. In other words, she’s got a heart (or a similar graphic) over her face almost all of the time. And when he doesn’t use this strategy, you can only view the little girl from the back.

What photos did Orlando Bloom recently share?

Bloom just posted an absolutely adorable carousel of photos and videos on Instagram with the caption, “love language lately.” Of course, you might not even know the post includes pics of his daughter unless you keep looking. The first in the series is a shirtless photo of Bloom walking in the snow. Yes, the snow.

View this post on Instagram

A few photos in, he adds a funny FaceTime screenshot of a Daisy-daddy call. He follows this with a selfie leaning on his car and another snowy shot (this time with his shirt on). A few more pictures later, the actor adds a sandy beach scene with Daisy, followed by a quick clip of himself holding the five-year-old, with the waves crashing in the background.

But wait…it gets even cuter. The doting dad includes a whiteboard drawing (presumably by Daisy) with squiggles, scribbles, and the word, “DAD.” He also features a photo of Daisy’s school art project, a portrait collage with the label, “When I am 100, I will be very, very old! I’ll probably…watch TV and drink soup in bed!” And what do fans think? One commented, “Soup in ned is a love language!” And we agree.

‘90s ‘Twin Peaks’ Icon Sherilyn Fenn, 61, Is More Stunning Than Ever With Full Gray Hair

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 1:17pm

Sherilyn Fenn was a staple of the '90s thanks to her role on David Lynch's iconic series, Twin Peaks. But in the present day, she looks absolutely incredible with full gray hair.

Fenn, 61, skyrocketed to fame in the role of Audrey Horne on the show, which boasted a significant cult following. She also garnered serious acclaim thanks to roles in films like Wild at Heart and Of Mice and Men. Known for her dark, brown hair and sultry style, Fenn was the dream of many TV fans throughout the '90s.

In the present day, Fenn tends to fly under the radar a bit more. But on her Instagram account, the actress shows the world she's looking better than ever. In a new photo, Fenn went full glam and sported red lips, strong brows, and a stunning head of gray hair. We love the powerful look from this beauty!

"🦋💙🙏🏽It’s new day🙏🏽💙🦋," the actress captioned the selfie.

What is Sherilyn Fenn Up to These Days?

Fenn has tackled some new acting roles in recent years. She appeared in 4 episodes of Goliath in 2019, and had a recurring role on S.W.A.T. from 2017 to 2021. She was also a recurrent cast member of Shining Vale from 2022 to 2023. However, she'll always be instantly identifiable for her role in the David Lynch universe.

What Has Fenn Said About Losing David Lynch?

Back in October 2023 at the Hollywood Show, Fenn spoke about her close relationship with the legendary director, who passed away in January at age 78.

“I love David,” Fenn said, according to Remind Magazine. “He has the best coffee at his house, he has David Lynch coffee. I bring him over sometimes homemade tomato soup, and things that he likes, for his birthday … I love him very much. He saw something in me that nobody saw at that point. And wrote me a character that changed my life.”

Dollar Tree's Foldable 2-Tier Bunny Tray Is the Sweetest Easy-to-Store Server

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

The struggle to decorate for every holiday and store it all without your home turning into a year-round storage unit is so very real. I want to go full Easter mode—bunnies on the table, pastel everything, maybe a cute little themed moment in every room. But then reality hits: where is all of this going once the holiday is over? My garage is already doing the absolute most, with bins of Christmas decorations stacked to the ceiling like some kind of festive Jenga.

So finding Easter decor that's cute, functional and somehow folds into itself so it doesn't take up precious storage space for 11 months of the year is thrilling. It's the kind of piece that lets you go a little extra for the holiday and not immediately regret it when you pack everything away, because decorating should feel joyful, not like a storage crisis waiting to happen.

On each tier, you should be able to comfortably fit things like a handful of tea sandwiches (cut into halves or quarters), scones or a mix of cookies. It's also perfect for cupcakes (usually 2–4 per tier, depending on their size) or a small cluster of brownies. For savory, think deviled eggs, mini quiches or sliders (though those might be a tighter squeeze).

Dollar Tree is quickly becoming my go-to stop for affordable tableware. It has some really lovely stoneware bowls with a Mediterranean vibe in stock right now. And for those lazy afternoons enjoying the fresh air on your porch or patio, its spring-themed beverage pitchers are a total win (and only $1.50 each). Molly Ringwald, 58, Has Barely Changed 40 Years After ‘Pretty in Pink’: ‘There’s My 80’s Crush'

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:48pm

Molly Ringwald rose to stardom during the '80s in the films of John Hughes, and she's still a stunning redhead over 40 years later.

Ringwald, 58, became instantly associated with the Brat Pack thanks to her roles in Hughes's beloved teen films like Sixteen CandlesThe Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The film, which co-starred Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer, won the hearts of a generation and legions of young people from the generations to follow thanks to its sweet love story and tale of Andie, a working-class girl who falls for a wealthy classmate, played by McCarthy. Directed by Howard Deutch, the cult classic will be on replay across the globe for generations.

In 2026, Ringwald is still a screen icon, and she hasn't changed a bit from her days on the big screen. With roles in series like Monster and Feud, Ringwald is still a thriving actor, but she's also a talented writer. But one look at her recent selfie, and it's safe to say she's pretty ageless. One look at the comments and it's clear all her followers still love her just as much as they did back in 1986.

"There's my '80s crush," one person said, commenting on a photo of the redheaded beauty as she gazes into the camera.

Heartbreaking 1992 Hit Ranked No. 1 Song to Play When You 'Need a Good Cry'

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:41pm

If you've ever looked through a playlist searching for the ultimate song to let the tears flow, you're not alone. According to a May 2025 Forbes roundup of the "30 Saddest Songs For When You Need A Good Cry," "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton was ranked No. 1.

More than 30 years after its release, the acoustic ballad still lands the same way. It remains a staple on streaming playlists centered on grief and reflection, and it continues to reach new listeners in 2026 who may be hearing it for the first time.

The song's origin is closely tied to a personal loss. In March 1991, Clapton's four-year-old son, Conor, tragically fell from the 53rd-floor window of a New York City apartment. That loss shaped the writing of "Tears in Heaven," which Clapton co-wrote with lyricist Will Jennings for the 1991 film Rush. What began as a piece written for a film didn't stay in that lane for long.

Clapton later described the song as unlike anything else he had written. The opening lines, "Would you know my name / If I saw you in heaven?", frame a direct, deeply human question about loss and the possibility of reunion. The gentle guitar work and soft vocal delivery give the lyrics space, and that restraint is part of what makes it hit.

The live version recorded for MTV Unplugged in 1992 brought it to a wider audience. Stripped down even further, the performance felt raw in a way the studio version didn't try to be. For a lot of viewers, that moment ended up defining not just the song, but the Unplugged series itself.

Released as a single in January 1992, "Tears in Heaven" reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Clapton's highest-charting solo track in the U.S. Its success wasn't just commercial. The song also won Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 1993 Grammy Awards.

Related: Eric Clapton Reflects on His Abrupt Exit From Hall of Fame '60s Rock Band: 'I Was Fooled Into Joining the Group'

The reach of that performance carried over to Clapton's Unpluggedalbum. According to Guinness World Records, it has sold an estimated 26 million copies worldwide, which says a lot about how widely that version connected.

Over time, "Tears in Heaven" has become one of those rare songs people return to during difficult moments. Not for answers, necessarily. Just to sit with it for a few minutes.

If you're looking for more songs that hit the heartstrings, check out the full Forbes list or build your own "good cry" playlist. Just be sure to keep the tissues handy.

Anne Hathaway Drops The Holy Grail Of Pop Anthems As The Internet Swoons

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:34pm

The internet has a new religion. It’s called Anne Hathaway singing pop music, and the first pews are already packed. Hathaway replaced the polished, theater-kid energy we saw in Les Mis with the second trailer of A24’s j Mother Mary, David Lowery’s upcoming psychodrama, and the vibes are heavy. With it comes "My Mouth Is Lonely For You," a track that sounds less like a movie tie-in and more like a club-ready obsession.

The song is a synth-heavy, pulsating Gaga-esque piece of pop. Fans are already losing it in the comments. One listener wrote, “Sweet, I'm in. Shades of Black Swan and Smile with a Gaga influence? Worth a look”. Another simply posted, “I am soooo seated…”.

According to A24’s description of the film, Hathaway stars as the titular Mother Mary. She’s an iconic pop star living in the violent glare of the flashbulbs. But the story kicks in with the comeback. She reunites with Sam Anselm, played by Michaela Coel. Sam is Mother Mary’s estranged best friend and former costume designer. Long-buried wounds rise to the surface. It’s messy. Because it’s a David Lowery film, expect a beautiful, lurching trip.

One commenter called Hathaway a “goddess of a woman”. Hard to argue after seeing the footage. She’s sporting the lethal pop star hair and blood-red lipstick of a woman who knows exactly how to command a stadium.

The credits read like a Coachella headliner list. The Mother Mary: Greatest Hits album drops April 17. It features original songs by Hathaway, Charli xcx, and Taylor Swift’s bestie, Jack Antonoff. The track getting all the buzz right now was written by FKA twigs, which explains that jagged, avant-pop edge.

The trailer gives us a fleeting look at the spectacle. Dancers in the shadows. Thick clouds of stage smoke. A sense of impending doom that follows the beat. As one fan put it: “The soundtrack is amazing. Love it”.

We know Hathaway could sing, but this is her going for the jugular. Mother Mary hits theaters on April 17.

That's because the riverside town is known as a retirement haven, where seniors can spend their days cruising the walkable downtown, enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings (including waterfront views), and even learning a thing or two about Eufaula's history.

According to the Family Destinations Guide, this town is located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, right at the Alabama-Georgia border. Named after the indigenous tribe from Eufaula Creek, the town feels steeped in history the moment you arrive. The town has more than 700 structures on the National Register of Historic Places, and you'll really pick up on the throwback vibes when you're walking down main street.

Not only that, but the climate here will be an added draw for seniors, since temperatures remain more moderate in this Southern spot where snowy winters and freezing temperatures are highly unusual.

Retirees Can Find a Sense of Community in Eufaula

One of the things that ranks high on the wish list of many retirees is a location where they can find other like-minded people at a similar stage of life. You'll have no problem finding those folks in Eufaula, thanks to the town's Eufaula Heritage Association, where seniors can gather to learn about and preserve the town's history, or at the Jaxon Life Senior Center, which the Eufaula town website says offers activities like:

  • Arts and crafts seminars
  • Day trips to fun and exciting places
  • Opportunities for exercise
  • Health education
  • Lunch
  • Music

Eufaula Has a Low Cost of Living

Of course, one of the most important things on the minds of those considering a move while living on a fixed income is the cost of living. According to Best Places, you won't need to worry too much about money when you live in Eufaula, because the cost of living is 25.4 percent lower than that of the U.S. average.

And that spells lower costs across the board, according to the report, which also says that transportation, taxes, food, housing (Zillow shows single-family homes priced as low as $79,900 here), and healthcare all remain lower than average for residents here. That means even those with smaller retirement budgets can live large here, since their dollars will go a whole lot further than they would in other regions.

Ready to start looking for a new place to call home when you start your next chapter? Consider giving Eufaula a try.

Jen Shah Opens Up About Ignored Red Flags, Family Tragedies, and 'Wrong Decisions' That Led to Prison

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:21pm

It's been more than four months since the formerReal Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah was released from prison after serving 33 months. Thanks to good behavior, timely restitution payments, and participation in prison programs, she served less than half of her sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

"When I walked in, it took my breath away," Shah, 52, told PEOPLE in her first interview since her release. "You hear people say it’s 'Camp Cupcake' — it’s not. It’s prison. I just thought, 'This cannot be where I'm going to be every day.'"

Prosecutors alleged that Shah played a big part in a scheme that largely targeted older and financially insecure people. From around 2012 until 2021, thousands were sold "business" services that were virtually worthless. Federal prosecutors claimed Shah was heavily involved in creating and sharing the "lead lists" used to find customers. They also alleged that the Bravo star and her partners tried to cover their tracks by using encrypted messages and offshore accounts.

Shah insisted that she's not trying to make excuses, but thought that she was "doing the right thing for the majority of the time. I was working under people who were running these companies," she said.

She claimed that issues in her life, such as the deaths of her grandmother, father, and aunt, along with her separation from her husband, Sharrieff "Coach" Shah, "clouded my judgment." Still, she realized that there were red flags that she had ignored. Now, she's taking ownership of her part in the telemarketing operation that brought her here.

"I was wrong,” she admitted. “I made wrong decisions. I should have done things differently. I should have been more diligent. And I'm deeply remorseful and sorry for my actions and for my part."

Shah's tipping point in realizing the harm she'd caused was when her lawyers received all of the evidence, including statements from those who had been defrauded. “I saw for the first time that there were people who were hurt,” the reality TV star said. “That there were actual victims as a result of this conspiracy. I had never seen anything with my own eyes. That changed things for me.”

While she only served two years and nine months in prison instead of six and a half years, she's not off the hook yet. Shah will serve the remainder of her sentence under community supervision at home and is diligently paying the $6.6 million in restitution she owes.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I’m accepting responsibility, and I’ve made it my mission to make sure that people are paid back."

This 1983 'Cheers' Episode Released 43 Years Ago and Ranked 'Best TV Episodes of All Time'

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:10pm

Ted Danson as ex-jock bartender Sam Malone in Cheers will always be a TV sitcom staple. In 1983, Cheers released its Season 1 two-part finale, which was a giant success among fans and was ranked as one of the best TV episodes to have ever been released.

Rolling Stone's Top of the "Best TV Episodes of All Time" has some home runs fromSeinfeld's "The Contest," a The Sopranos favorite, to their number one choice being a Breaking Bad episode. Cheers' "Showdown" episode holds its own praise for a few reasons, one of them being nominated for a jaw-dropping thirteen Emmys and taking home five wins.

The list puts a bigger emphasis on Part 2 of the first-season finale, and ranks the episode as No. 7 on the list. The crux of the episode's storyline is the "long-simmering romantic tension" between Sam and his pretentious waitress Diane Chambers (Shelley Long). Sitcom fans had been waiting for this "will they finally reveal their true feelings" moment for an entire season, with the finale finally giving them the climax.

"Showdown" Part 1 involved Sam's jealousy towards his brother Derek (George Bill) whose wildly more successful than him and will be visiting. Upon his brother's early arrival, everyone becomes enamored with his success, charm, and solves the problems of series regulars like teaching Coach (George Bill) Spanish. The main focus of the issue is when Derek catches Diane's interest, and they hit it off with their similar interests.

Part 1 of the episode ends with the two going on a date in Derek's private jet, with "Showdown" Part 2 further adding fuel to the fire of Sam's pent-up tension and feelings for Diane. The second half of the season finally has Diane become conflicted with her ideal man, Derek, and her "bubblegum" Sam. Coach insists that Sam has a hard time expressing his feelings, with Sam firing her after Diane tells him she and Derek are going on another trip.

When Diane says goodbye to everyone at the bar and accidentally hits Sam on the nose as she enters the office, she becomes convinced he was on his way to tell her something. Cheers' "The Showdown" ends up in a heated lovers' quarrel that leads to an ending kiss that studio audiences erupted in applause over.

"Showdown" Part 2 aired on March 31 to considerably good ratings. Graphic designers James Castle and Brucy Bryant won awards at the 1983 Emmys for Part 1, with James Burrows winning an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Part 2.

Former Fleetwood Mac Star Lindsey Buckingham Reportedly Attacked By Stalker

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:05pm

Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac fame and infamy, was reportedly recently attacked in Santa Monica while trying to attend a prescheduled appointment.

NBC4, a local Los Angeles affiliate, broke the news, revealing that a stalker of the rock legend was apparently waiting inside of the building when he arrived and threw an unidentified substance at the rocker when he stepped inside. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that she then fled.

The woman has been identified, though her name has not been revealed to the public at this time. She has apparently been involved in "past incidents" with Buckingham and has not been apprehended at the time of writing, but investigators said they expect to arrest her soon.

According to the outlet, the guitarist was not injured in the incident. He has not yet released a statement regarding the attack or the investigation.

It's unclear how the suspect found out when and where Buckingham was scheduled to be, nor what charges may be pending against her at this time, but Santa Monica police and LAPD are collaborating on the case.

In December of 2024, Buckingham secured a temporary restraining order against a then-52-year-old woman named Michelle, which ordered her to stay 100 yards away from him, his wife Kristen, and his son, William Buckingham.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch at the time, she had allegedly been harassing him and his family since 2021, going so far as to obtain the family's cell phone numbers, calling incessantly every day and leaving messages in which she claimed to be his daughter and lobbied threats to harm him and his family.

Eventually, she began showing up at their home, and even reportedly swatted the family, sending police to detain them and ransack the house over a false 911 call. He was later granted a permanent restraining order, which is not so permanent, as it expires in December 2029.

There's no indication yet if this incident involved the same or a different woman.

The Official ‘Most Beautiful Drive in America’ Has Clear Alpine Lakes, Mountain Ranges, and Year-Round Snowy Views

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 12:05pm

If there’s one road trip in America that truly lives up to the hype, it’s the Beartooth Highway. Legendary broadcaster Charles Kuralt famously dubbed the Beartooth Highway "the most beautiful drive in America," and this high-altitude drive lives up to the label. There is jaw-dropping scenery at nearly every turn, from crystal-clear alpine lakes to snow-covered peaks that linger even in summer.

A Drive Like No Other

Stretching roughly 68–69 miles between Red Lodge, Montana, and the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park, the route climbs dramatically from around 5,000 feet to an astonishing 10,947 feet at Beartooth Pass, making it one of the highest highways in the country. Along the way, you’ll travel through multiple ecosystems, from dense pine forests to wide-open alpine tundra where trees disappear, and the landscape feels almost otherworldly.

What makes this drive so unique is how accessible the views are; you don’t need to hike miles to experience them. Many of the best panoramas are just steps from your car, making it one of the most rewarding scenic drives in the U.S.

The scenery on Beartooth Highway changes constantly, which is part of its magic. Early in the drive, you’ll wind through forested valleys and waterfalls before climbing into rugged mountain terrain.

As you gain elevation, expect sweeping views of the Absaroka and Beartooth mountain ranges, with more than 20 peaks towering above 12,000 feet.

At higher elevations, the landscape opens up into vast alpine plateaus dotted with glacial lakes, some still partially frozen even in mid-summer. Snowbanks often line the road well into July, creating a surreal contrast against bright blue skies.

Wildlife sightings are also common, with chances to spot mountain goats, marmots, and even bears in the surrounding areas.

Best Scenic Stops for Photos

While the entire drive feels like one long scenic overlook, there are a few must-stop spots you shouldn’t miss:

  • Rock Creek Vista Point: One of the most iconic viewpoints, offering panoramic views of a deep canyon and winding road below.
  • Beartooth Pass Summit: At nearly 11,000 feet, this is the highest point on the highway and a perfect place for photos (and a quick break to take in the views).
  • Alpine Lake Pullouts: Numerous unnamed lakes sit just off the road, providing mirror-like reflections of the surrounding peaks.
  • Top of the World Store Area: A popular stopping point for snacks, souvenirs, and sweeping views of the plateau.

The best part? There are dozens of pull-offs along the route, so you can stop frequently without planning every detail.

@christina_rico

The Beartooth Highway is a scenic route that connects Red Lodge, Montana to the Northeast Entrance of Yellowstone National Park (near Cooke City). You can go either way, though! This highway is home to grizzly and black bears, elk, deer, moose, goats and so much more! There’s many different hikes and areas to stop along the way, making it an amazing “activity” to do if you’re on a road trip to Montana or Wyoming. We visited Montana, and as we were heading south to Colorado and then Arizona, we made sure to drive the Beartooth Highway! We drove from Red Lodge to Cooke City. Things to know: •Highway starts at ~5,000 feet
•The highway climbs to an impressive ~11,000 feet •It can be quite windy, so pack layers •Only open Memorial Day - early October •Plan for 2-3 hours, as you will want to stop every few miles…it’s BEAUTIFUL! •You will cross the “45th parallel” which is the exact halfway point between the North Pole and the Equator!! •There’s 950+ alpine lakes in the Beartooth Mountain Range I highly recommend driving this scenic route at least once in your life! #Hiketok #hikers #hikingbabes #hikebabe #adventuremore #adventuretok #adventurelife #hikinglife #hikeutah #hikemontana #hikewashington #pnwlife #exploremore #hikemore #hikingaz #azhiker #azhikes #hikingtips #hikinghacks #campingtips #camptips #camping #campersoftiktok #campingtips #beartoothpass #beartoothmountains #beartoothhighway #scenicdrive #roadtrip

♬ Ends of the Earth - Lord Huron When Is the Best Time to Go?

Timing is everything when it comes to Beartooth Highway. Due to extreme weather and heavy snowfall, the road is only open seasonally, typically from late May (around Memorial Day) through early October. The best overall time to visit is late June through September because there is ideal weather, clear roads, and full access to viewpoints

What to expect by month:

  • June: Snowbanks still line the road, creating dramatic scenery
  • July–August: Warmest temperatures and easiest driving conditions
  • September: Fewer crowds and beautiful early fall colors

For photography, mid-morning through mid-afternoon offers the best lighting, illuminating the valleys and mountain peaks.

Tips for Driving the Highway

While the drive is incredibly rewarding, it does require a bit of preparation:

  • Allow plenty of time: The drive itself takes about 2–3 hours, but most travelers spend half a day or more stopping for photos and short walks
  • Check weather conditions: Snow can fall even in summer at higher elevations
  • Fuel up beforehand: There are limited services along the route
  • Be comfortable with mountain driving: The road features steep switchbacks and high elevations

The Beartooth Highway isn’t just a scenic drive; it’s one of the most unforgettable road trips in the country. With its combination of alpine lakes, towering peaks, and ever-changing landscapes, it delivers a level of natural beauty that’s hard to match.

Whether you’re visiting Yellowstone National Park or planning a standalone road trip, this highway is worth carving out time for. Just be prepared to stop often because around every corner, there’s another view you won’t want to miss.

Dolly Parton's Latest Donation Called a 'Lifeline' by CEO

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 11:53am

Dolly Partonhas made a donation so significant that the CEO of a children's hospital is struggling to find words big enough to describe it.

Matt Schaefer, president and CEO of what is now officially Dolly Parton Children's Hospital in East Tennessee, sat down with Chief Healthcare Executive on Monday, March 30, to speak about Parton's contribution to the institution.

While he declined to reveal the exact figure, his description of it left little to the imagination. "What I can tell you is that she has made a generational and transformational commitment to Children's and its mission, and that commitment is something that goes beyond our wildest expectations, that is beyond generous, and will be a lifeline for this mission for now and for years to come," he said.

Schaefer described meeting the 80-year-old country legend as a "surreal moment," praising her "incredibly disarming personality" and the genuine passion she brought to the conversation. "It was truly humbling, and to hear her, in her own words, talk about the importance of this to her, to her community, to this organization, and to children, was super affirming," he said.

The donation is expected to fund an expanded roster of doctors, new programs and technology, and increased fundraising efforts. Schaefer also spoke about the impact Parton's name and legacy brings to the table. "To have the halo effect of everything she stood for in her life, including her love for children in particular, it just is fantastic for the future of our mission," he said.

The hospital's renaming was announced in February, when Parton shared the news via Instagram in a characteristically warm video message. "I've always believed that every child deserves a fair chance to grow up healthy, hopeful and surrounded with love," she said, before encouraging the public to get involved.
