Antoni Porowski Reflects on Connecting Through Food, Favorite ‘Queer Eye’ Moments, & What’s Next (Exclusive)
Throughout the 10-season run of Netflix's Queer Eye, culinary expert Antoni Porowski proved time and time again that the simple act of cooking can strengthen connections. Porowski is continuing to showcase how food can build community with his recent partnership with Bob's Red Mill for the brand's Moregetherness campaign.
In an exclusive interview with Parade, Porowski discussed the campaign and how food can foster relationships. Porowski also shared his favorite moments from Queer Eye and teased information about his upcoming food travel series, Best of the World.

Porowski quipped that he is "always fascinated by new words," before clarifying that he appreciates that Moregetherness "encourages community."
"Food is always been sort of the way that I connect with other people. It's how I was raised and it's how I live my life personally now. And it's kind of, you know, become the ethos of what I do with work," said Porowski to Parade.
In addition, he said he's been a fan of Bob's Red Mill and has "been using their products forever."
"It felt like a match made in heaven. I already have, you know, their products stocked in my pantry. And so it was like, sort of, why not? And what a beautiful initiative. Encourage people to, you know, show up for others, for their communities," said Porowski during the interview.
Porowski also said he believes that connecting with one's neighbors and establishing a community can combat loneliness and isolation.
"Just to be aware that it's sort of like, I'm not the only one who's going through stuff. And that could be sad things. That could be tragic things. It could also be beautiful things as well. And it's an opportunity to just have conversations," said the Queer Eye star.
In addition, Porowski said "there's no shortage of opportunities to check in on someone."
"And sometimes they actually need food. And other times it's using food as a vehicle, you know, not unlike I've done on Queer Eye for 10 seasons. Just have conversations and just to engage with other people. And I know for myself, I need it especially right now," continued Porowski.
In celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17, Bob's Red Mill is holding a Random Acts of Moregetherness Contest. The five winners will receive a Little Free Bakery, similar to the concept of a Little Free Library, as well as Bob's Red Mill products to help ensure the neighborhood will have baked goods available.
As for what Porowski enjoys baking using Bob's Red Mill products, he said he's "obsessed" with oatmeal pancakes and is a fan of raspberry pistachio brownies.
Antoni Porowski Revealed His Favorite 'Queer Eye' Moments & The Biggest Lesson He Learned From the Hit Series Antoni Porowski in front of a Bob’s Red Mill Little Free Bakery. Photo Credit: Bob's Red MillDuring his interview with Parade, Porowski shared that one of his favorite moments from Queer Eye involved sisters Dorriene and Jo Diggs from Season 10, Episode 1. In the episode, which premiered in January 2026, Porowski had an emotional conversation with Dorriene and Jo while they made pineapple upside-down cake, similar to what their mother used to bake.
Porowski told Parade that he spoke to the sisters, who live with each other following the death of Dorriene's partner of 40 years, after their Queer Eye episode was filmed.
"It was just so nice to speak to them and just to see how they were doing. And their house still looked beautiful," said Porowski while speaking to Parade. "They haven't made the pineapple upside down cakes again, but that's okay. It is a sweet treat that has a shocking amount of brown sugar for anybody who saw that scene. So I think it's just checking in with them."
Porowski also said that he had a wonderful time filming with Mama Tammye during the second season of Queer Eye. He said he appreciated that she told him and the Queer Eye cast that "God had a plan for us and we were exactly where we should be." He explained that he andTan France "had these conversations of imposter syndrome" when they first started filming the series.
"We were all new to it. We didn't really know what we were doing. But to have someone kind of turn the mirror on us was a good reminder that it's always a conversation," said Porowski to Parade. "And I never try to be preachy, but that was an example of, you know, Mama Tammye like took over and put it on us in a really beautiful way."
In addition, Porowski shared that the biggest lesson he learned from his time on Queer Eye was how to interact with those who have different world views.
"It's not about convincing them to take on my POV or the other way around," said Porowski.
Porowski went on to say that while he is "not necessarily going to agree with" someone with a differing viewpoint, he is now able to "approach situations or difficult conversations, even in [his] personal life, with just empathy and compassion."

(Photo by Michael Buckner/Variety via Getty Images)Porowski shared with Parade that the proudest moment of his career was at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmys, where Queer Eye won the award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program. He noted that interior designer Jeremiah Brent, who joined the Queer Eye cast during its ninth season, hadn't been to the Creative Arts Emmys before. Porowski said he warned Brent that they likely wouldn't take home the award because he believed "the ship had sailed on winning any" awards for Queer Eye.
"Then to win and then see the look on Jer's face. And I mean, you know, we both teared up. We didn't tear up, we cried," said Porowski.
He then explained that he had gotten "a little desensitized to all the exciting things" because he had been "always focusing on the next step."
"But just to take that moment and really enjoy it and just feel centered and just really appreciate the joy of it, and know that what we do still matters and that it'll continue to matter, even though the show is gone, I think is like a really beautiful thing," continued Porowski in his interview with Parade.
While speaking to Parade, Porowski shared information about his upcoming National Geographic series, Best of the World, set to premiere in 2026. He explained that as the show's host, he's helping showcase some of the best places to visit in "Paris, London, New York City, and Mexico City."
"We get to explore accommodations. So hospitality and all its forms from high end to low end, to, like, random yurts in places. I've already said too much," shared Porowski.
He also said that "it was a really fun, creative process of coming up with places that were really unique and then going to places that are iconic establishments and kind of learning about the people behind it."
"Queer Eye taught me so much about the power of human connection and conversations," said Porowski. "And I'm happiest when I'm just talking to someone, know them and geeking out with geeks for me, like nerds who are really good at what they do is my favorite thing in the world. And so it's the human stories. And even though it's a show about the cities and all these incredible things that they have to offer, it's every single beating heart that keeps it going and makes it what it is. And we have so many fascinating people."
He also teased that viewers can expect laughter and tears while watching the new travel series.
Supergroup Announces North America Tour for the First Time in 7 Years
After seven years, the electronic music supergroup The Black Queen has announced a North America tour. The announcement was shared on Tuesday afternoon via Instagram, following the 10 year anniversary for the supergroup's debut album, Fever Daydream.
The Black Queen, made up of former Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato, former Nine Inch Nails member Joshua Eustis and musical technician Steven Ryan Alexander, was formed in 2015 as a way for the artists to experiment with more atmospheric, synth-heavy sounds—a deviation for Puciato's roots as a metalcore star.
Their debut record, Fever Daydream, was released in 2016, showcasing the group's ability to switch between genres seamlessly. The record went on to garner critical acclaim as a successful independent synth-pop album for its intimate, R&B-infused electronic sound. The record was able to incorporate the nostalgia of the '80s while embracing modern-day production elements. In 2018, the group released their second record, Infinite Games, which continued to highlight the band's versatility outside of their musical roots.
Despite the success of the band's first two albums, the group entered an extended hiatus after touring for Infinite Games concluded. In a recent quote, Puciato assures fans that the group is working on new projects.
"As anyone into the Black Queen knows, we've been dormant for a minute," Puciato said. "A lot of things ended up on the front burner and suddenly seven years had gone by, and 10 years since Fever Daydream's release. Fever Daydream was really special and we know it meant a lot to fans as well. So we figured let's get some grease on us and get some of that mojo back before releasing our third album. Maybe we'll toss some new songs in as well. See you soon."
Singer Greg Puciato of the American band The Dillinger Escape Plan perform live during a concert at the Columbia Theater on February 10, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The 10-year anniversary tour will span 15 cities throughout North America commencing on May 8 in Portland, Oregon. ‘Tell Me Lies’ Season 3 Ending Explained: Who Leaked the Tape and What That Final Truck Stop Scene Means
The Tell Me Lies series 3 finale didn't just end with a bang—it ended with multiple explosions, a wedding meltdown and one of the cruelest final scenes in recent television history. In other words: it was perfect TV. After three seasons of lies, manipulation and toxic relationships, creator Meaghan Oppenheimer delivered the ending she always intended: messy, devastating and absolutely fitting for a show about people who refuse to grow up.
The Hulu drama, based on Carola Lovering's 2018 novel, has followed Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) through years of their twisted relationship at fictional Baird College in the mid-2000s. The finale premiered February 17, 2026 at 12 a.m. ET, and Oppenheimer confirmed before it aired that Season 3 would be the show's last. This was always the plan—there would be no cliffhanger, no hope for redemption, just the logical conclusion of a friend group built on secrets and selfishness!
The episode toggled between the main college timeline and a 2015 flash-forward to Bree and Evan's wedding, where every lie finally detonated. From Lucy's expulsion to the revelation of who actually leaked that damning tape, the finale proved that in this world, nobody wins—they just hurt each other in increasingly creative ways.
Here's everything that went down in the final episode and what it all means.
What Happened in the Tell Me Lies Season 3 Finale? The finale included confessions that set off a chain reaction of betrayals. Pippa admitted to Wrigley that she'd cheated on him, and he responded with unexpected compassion and maturity. This honestly made him perhaps the only emotionally stable person in the entire friend group? Meanwhile, Lucy confessed to Pippa that she was the person Evan had cheated on Bree with the previous year. Pippa's reaction was much less forgiving.
The episode's central conflict revolved around Lucy attempting to sabotage Stephen during a Yale-related lunch for incoming students. She wanted to destroy his future the way he'd been systematically destroying hers. But Stephen had been holding a nuclear option: a private tape he'd been using to threaten Lucy for weeks.
Shortly after Lucy's sabotage attempt, that tape leaked. The fallout was immediate and brutal! Lucy was expelled from Baird College. At the same time, Stephen's acceptance to Yale was rescinded after he was reported for online harassment involving pornographic material. The implication? Wrigley may have reported him following a tense encounter, though the show leaves this deliberately ambiguous.
Bree confronted Evan about sleeping with Lucy, and he confessed. In a moment that revealed just how calculating Bree could be, she chose to keep the truth quiet publicly because Lucy was already dealing with expulsion. Better to let Lucy suffer alone than give her the satisfaction of public drama.

Who Actually Leaked Lucy's Tape? The finale's biggest revelation came during Bree and Evan's 2015 wedding. Stephen confronted Bree about the leaked tape, assuming she knew nothing about Lucy and Evan's affair. That's when he realized: Bree already knew everything.
Bree leaked Lucy's confessional tape as revenge for Lucy sleeping with Evan.
While Stephen had been threatening Lucy with the tape for weeks, it was Bree who actually pulled the trigger. She destroyed Lucy's college career not in a moment of passion, but as cold, calculated payback. The show suggests that Bree waited, planned and executed her revenge at the exact moment it would cause maximum damage.
This revelation reframes the entire season. Bree wasn't the victim caught in the crossfire—she was an active participant in the destruction, just as manipulative as Stephen, just quieter about it.

What Happened at Bree and Evan's Wedding? The 2015 wedding sequence was pure chaos. Stephen showed up with his girlfriend Lydia, only to break up with her in front of everyone. He admitted he'd cheated on Lydia with Lucy that same morning—the morning of his ex-girlfriend's wedding to the guy Lucy had also slept with. The levels of messiness were genuinely impressive.
Stephen then revealed he'd only been dating Lydia to make Lucy jealous, which tracks perfectly with his character's need to "win" every interaction. When the tape revelation came out and Stephen confronted Bree, he did what he does best: he blew everything up. He revealed multiple secrets in front of the entire group, turning the wedding reception into a verbal bloodbath.
The friend group turned on each other immediately. Pippa and Dianna—portrayed throughout the finale as the most emotionally stable members of the group—left the chaos together, essentially washing their hands of the whole toxic situation. Meanwhile, Bree and Wrigley shared a charged look during the meltdown, with the ending implying they may choose each other romantically.
One small but pretty major detail: Dianna went to Yale, subtly indicated by her phone case in a photo moment. The show seems to suggest that the characters who actually got their lives together were the ones who extracted themselves from the Stephen-Lucy-Bree-Evan vortex.
How Does Tell Me Lies End for Stephen and Lucy? The final scene between Stephen and Lucy cemented exactly what kind of show Tell Me Lies always was: a story about two people locked in a psychological power game where the only goal is to hurt each other.
After the wedding imploded, Stephen asked Lucy to leave with him. She told him she hated him. It's a statement that feels like the truest thing either of them has ever said. And then she got in the car anyway.
They drove in silence until Stephen pulled into a truck stop and told Lucy to get out. He abandoned her there, in the middle of nowhere, and drove away. No explanation, no final confrontation, just one last act of cruelty designed to make Lucy feel as small and powerless as possible.
The scene was devastating not because it was shocking, but because it was inevitable. Jackson White previously described Stephen as a "super villain," and the finale proved him right. Stephen doesn't want Lucy's love or her forgiveness—he wants to win, and winning means being the one who walks away first.
Lucy getting in that car despite saying she hates him shows she's equally trapped in the cycle. She knows exactly who Stephen is, and she chooses him anyway. The truck stop isn't rock bottom—it's just another stop on a road they'll probably travel forever.
Where Does Tell Me Lies Leave Each Character?Lucy Albright: Expelled from Baird College, publicly humiliated by the leaked tape and abandoned at a truck stop. The finale offers no redemption arc for Lucy because she doesn't want one. She's chosen Stephen over her own wellbeing so many times that the ending feels less like tragedy and more like choice. Her confession to Pippa about Evan showed a brief moment of honesty, but it came too late to save any of her friendships.
Stephen DeMarco: Lost his Yale acceptance, ruined Bree and Evan's wedding and proved he's exactly as cruel as everyone always suspected. The finale frames Stephen as someone who would rather destroy everything—including his own future—than let anyone else have control. His relationship with Lucy isn't love; it's mutual destruction dressed up in romantic language.
Bree: The finale's most chilling reveal was that Bree orchestrated Lucy's expulsion while maintaining a veneer of innocence. She kept Evan's infidelity quiet not out of kindness, but to control the narrative. Her charged look with Wrigley at the wedding suggests she's already moving on, having eliminated Lucy as competition and secured her position as the "winner" of the friend group.
Evan: Confessed to sleeping with Lucy but faced minimal consequences compared to everyone else. The wedding still happened, Bree still married him and his betrayal became just another secret in a relationship built on them. His role in the finale emphasized how the men in this friend group often skate by while the women destroy each other.
Wrigley: Emerged as surprisingly decent, responding to Pippa's confession with compassion and possibly reporting Stephen's harassment. The implication that he and Bree may end up together suggests he's trading one complicated situation for another, though Bree at least seems more emotionally mature than the chaos around them.
Pippa and Dianna: Left the wedding together, symbolically exiting the toxic friend group dynamic. They're framed as the survivors; the ones who recognized the situation for what it was and chose to walk away.
What Tell Me Lies' Ending Really MeansMeaghan Oppenheimer said the team explored continuing the show but decided the story had reached its natural conclusion. She wanted to "protect the quality" of the show by ending it intentionally rather than dragging it out. The finale proves she was right.
This wasn't a show about growth or healing—it was about people who choose toxicity because it's familiar. The Stephen and Lucy relationship is framed as a cycle that neither of them wants to break. The truck stop scene doesn't suggest they're done with each other; it suggests they're taking a break before the next round.
The finale asks whether anyone in this friend group is actually better than anyone else, and the answer is clearly no. Bree leaked the tape. Stephen threatened and abandoned Lucy. Lucy slept with her friend's boyfriend. Evan cheated and lied. They're all complicit in each other's destruction.

V8’s New Energy Drinks Are ‘Absolutely Delicious,’ Fans Say
V8 is expanding its offerings, and this time, fans are getting more than just new drink flavors but an entirely new product line.
For the first time in the company's 93-year history, V8 is launching its own sugar-free energy drink line, expanding its energy category beyond the V8 Energy Drink Mixes it launched last year and the fruit juice-based ready-to-enjoy energy drinks it previously offered (which contain sugar).
New for 2026 is V8 Energy Zero Sugar, a collection of canned energy drinks that deliver the feel-good power of V8 while meeting the growing demand for "better-for-you" beverages and lower-sugar options, according to a statement shared with Parade.
V8 Debuts New Energy Drink Line Made With Zero SugarThe new V8 Energy Zero Sugar line will debut in three fruity flavors that blend "nostalgic flavor profiles with refreshing taste" for a "clean start" to the day or afternoon reset, per the brand. They are: Blueberry Raspberry, Strawberry Lemonade and Cherry Lime.
Related:Lucky Energy Gets a Fiber Boost in a Whole New Gummy Format
- Blueberry Raspberry – Bold, juicy berry flavor with a smooth energy boost.
- Strawberry Lemonade – Bright, refreshing and fruit-forward.
- Cherry Lime – A crisp, tangy twist with a hint of citrus.
V
The new line is made with real vegetable juice, a little stevia to make up for the lack of artificial sweeteners and added sugar, and contains 80 milligrams of natural caffeine per 8-ounce can (approximately the equivalent of a single cup of coffee) derived from green and black teas for "intentional energy" that's less likely to cause a hard crash later on, according to the official description. In addition to caffeine, each V8 Energy beverage contains select B vitamins (B3, B6, and B12) and vitamin C for further energy and immune support.
So far, early reviews suggest the new line is just as tasty as the rest of V8's juices.
"An absolutely delicious purchase," one Amazon reviewer said of the Blueberry Raspberry flavor, adding that they were "impressed" by the flavor.
Another said there were "a few things" they enjoyed about the new energy beverage. "First and foremost, for me, is that it doesn't have that weird artificial taste of other zero sugar products I've tried. I'm a huge fan of regular V8 so you might say I'm a salt/veg over a sweet/fruit person. So take this with a grain of salt... Or Stevia," they joked.
"These taste amazing," a third wrote. "Great flavor."
And it's not just the one flavor earning shoutouts, as another specifically called out the Cherry Lime, admitting they were "a little hesitant to try it" because it's sugar-free, but ultimately, they were "very surprised and happy with the taste. Will be getting again!"
"A friend told me about these," someone else wrote of the Strawberry Lemonade flavor, going on to say they were "so glad I ordered them."
"Good Taste & Good For Energy," one more applauded.
V8's new line of zero-sugar energy drinks is available in six-packs of individual flavors (no variety packs yet) for just under $6 each via Amazon and Walmart.

Whoopi Goldberg Addresses Why She’s Getting ‘Dragged’ for Being in the Epstein Files: ‘I Wasn’t His Friend'
Whoopi Goldberg is addressing why her name came up in the Epstein files.
On Tuesday morning, Goldberg appeared in her regular slot on The View and shared that she's been receiving significant criticism for having her name come up in the emails of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“In the name of transparency, my name is in the files. Yes!” Goldberg told the audience, sharing that her name is mentioned in a May 2013 email that stated she needed a “plane to get to Monaco” for a charity event, Page Six reported.
In response, Epstein said, “No thanks.”
“This is my point because when I tell you, people are trying to turn me into … I wasn’t his girlfriend, I wasn’t his friend. I was not only too old [for him], but it was at a time where this is just not — you used to have to have facts before you said stuff,” Goldberg continued, posting the email on the jumbo screen behind the co-hosts.
“I can’t speak to him, but I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged,” she continued. “People actually believe that I was with him. It’s like honey, come on. Every man that I’ve ever been with, you’ve known about because either the Enquirer wrote about it, people wrote about this stuff. So, no.”
Goldberg Almost Loses It Over a Viral Cheating ConfessionGoldberg had another wild show last week when she almost lost it while discussing the viral drama over Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid‘s cheating confession at the Olympics.
On the Thursday, Feb. 12 episode of The View, the hosts gathered to chat about Lægreid’s confession, which went down during a Tuesday, Feb. 10 press conference at the winter Olympics.
Goldberg, however, noted that she was “confused by all this,” and almost got up and left.
Check out the debate over the confession, which begins around the 22-minute mark below.
The Cheating ConfessionLægreid confessed to his infidelity during a press conference, saying, “There is someone I wanted to share this with who might not be watching today,” he told NRK, according to a translation provided by E! News, PEOPLE reported. He added that he “met the love of [his] life” six months before.
“Three months ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life and was unfaithful,” he said, noting that he admitted his infidelity “about a week ago.”
The world was shocked by his statement, which came at a time when everyone assumed he’d be discussing the competition.
Lægreid, who won a bronze medal in the men’s 20km biathlon, went on to issue an apology to his ex-girlfriend and his teammate Johan-Olva Botn for his statement, since it overshadowed his teammate’s successful gold medal win. He said he “deeply regret[s]” bringing the incident up “on what was a festive day for Norwegian biathlon.”
“I am not quite myself today, and I am not thinking clearly. My apologies go to Johan-Olav, who deserved all the attention after the gold,” his statement to PEOPLE read. “It also goes to my ex-girlfriend, who involuntarily ended up in the media spotlight. I hope she is doing well.”
Egypt Sherrod Shares Raw Message After HGTV Cancellation and Personal Loss
Former HGTV star Egypt Sherrod opened up about her approach to design in the new year in a new social media post.
"This year, I'm not designing from trends. I'm designing from testimony," Sherrod wrote in an Instagram post shared on February 17.

Sherrod described that "testimony" and explained how she envisions it driving her work in the months ahead. "From the quiet battles. From the prayers whispered over blueprints. From the tears that taught me how to see light differently."
The Married to Real Estate star continued, "May the spaces we create this year be fearless...not because they're loud, but because they're honest. Unbridled, not in chaos, but in freedom. Unleashed, not in ego, but in purpose."
The HGTV alum noted that she doesn't want rooms that are simply stunning. Rather, Sherrod explained, "I want rooms that breathe. Rooms that hold healing. Rooms that remind you that YOUR BECOMING is holy work."
The photo that Sherrod included in her post was clearly reflective of that shift in her thinking. She stood in the doorway of a bedroom that was clearly designed with peace and relaxation as priorities.
View this post on InstagramFans commented that they loved Sherrod's spirit and energy.
"We want you guys back Egypt Sherrod!!!! Whyyyy," read one fan's comment.
"I miss watching Married to Real Estate. That was my show. I don't even watch HGTV anymore. I need you and Mike back. That show was my show," another fan wrote.
Sherrod replied to that comment directly with an intruiging tease. "GOD is doing a new thing," the former HGTV star noted.
In June 2025, Sherrod and her husband, Married to Real Estate co-star Mike Jackson, revealed that HGTV had canceled their series. The news was unexpected to them, as well as to fans.
Since then, Sherrod and Jackson have resumed their podcast and teased additional projects and accolades.
HGTV fans may remember that the couple's Married to Real Estate cancellation wasn't the only life-altering change that Sherrod navigated in recent months. Shortly after the show cancellation, she revealed that her estranged father had died.
Now, Sherrod seems to be taking those difficult experiences and using them to forge ahead in new ways. Her fans see her inspiration and message, and seem eager to see more.
48 Years Ago Today, a 19-Year-Old Made Rock Music History
On Feb. 17, 1978, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter released her debut album—and changed rock music forever.
That artist was Kate Bush.
Her first LP, The Kick Inside, introduced the world to “Wuthering Heights,” a theatrical, haunting single that would go on to top the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. In doing so, Bush became the first female artist to reach No. 1 in the UK with a self-written song, a remarkable achievement for a teenager whose sound was unlike anything dominating radio at the time. "Wuthering Heights" also hit No. 1 in Italy, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
RELATED: 1971 Hit Ranked ‘Greatest Classic Rock Song’ of All Time
The inspiration for “Wuthering Heights” came from an unlikely place. Bush later revealed she hadn’t originally read Emily Brontë’s novel. Instead, she was captivated after catching the final minutes of a BBC television adaptation as a teenager. An image of a hand coming through a window stayed with her, prompting her to write the song from the perspective of Catherine Earnshaw’s ghost.
Bush deliberately sang in a high, ethereal register to embody the character. The result was dramatic, eccentric and utterly different from the punk, disco and arena rock filling the charts.
Her record label initially wanted a different, more conventional rock song to serve as her debut single. But Bush insisted on “Wuthering Heights”—and she was right. In later years, an EMI executive admitted he ultimately “caved in” and agreed to release “Wuthering Heights," a decision that quickly proved her instincts were correct.
Within three weeks of its release, it had knocked ABBA’s “Take a Chance on Me” from the top spot and became one of the biggest hits of 1978. The timing made her success even more striking. EMI had also just signed the Sex Pistols, and punk was reshaping British music. Against that backdrop, Bush’s theatrical, literary and unapologetically eccentric single felt almost radical in its difference.
Decades later, Bush’s influence only grew. In 2022, her 1985 hit “Running Up That Hill” surged back to the top of global charts after appearing in Stranger Things, introducing her music to a whole new generation.
But it all traces back to that February day in 1978, when a teenager with an operatic voice, literary ambition and avant-garde instincts stepped into rock history.

Val Chmerkovskiy Shares The Olympian He Would 'Love to See' On 'DWTS'
When it comes to Olympians vying for the Dancing with the Stars' Mirrorball trophy, pro Val Chmerkovskiy has someone in mind as to who he'd like to see try next.
"I would love to see Lindsey Vonn on Dancing with the Stars," he shared on Tuesday's episode of Sherri Shepherd's talk show, Sherri.
"She needs to repair those knees but I'm sure in a few months she could do a little," he added, referencing her recent injury that prevented her from competing in the 2026 Olympic games and led to multiple surgeries.
When it comes to athletes competing on the ballroom dance competition in general though, Chmerkovskiy, who was partnered with Shepherd during Season 14, explained that they actually have a lot in common with the pros.
"You saw the Dancing with the Stars experience, it's grueling. They have a pain threshold that equips them to take on Dancing with the Stars but also they understand camaraderie," he said. "I think a lot of times you talk about chemistry...we got chemistry because we got camaraderie, we got common ground, we love each other we supported each other, athletics teaches you that, it teaches you to show up for your teammate."
Other notable Olympians that have competed on DWTS include gymnasts Jordan Chiles, Simone Biles, and Mary Lou Retten, rugby player Ilona Maher, and speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.
Chmerkovskiy was also partnered with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez in Season 23 and the two won the competition.

The pro also got to talking about DTWS' newly announced fan convention while chatting with Shepherd.
"It's an exciting thing, it's our first time doing it, obviously there's still things being added to the mix," he said. "People love Dancing with the Stars more than ever...for those that can't get enough of dance and also didn't get a chance to buy that ticket [for the current tour], you get to have three days with us."
"You got I think every single person who's ever [appeared] in Dancing with the Stars in one place, so yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun," he added.

This Classic Board Game is Becoming a Netflix Movie — and TV Projects Could Be Next
There's a chance you have a Ticket to Ride set stashed away in your closet. Now, what if the classic board game were to turn into a smash-hit movie?
Netflix just nabbed the iconic franchise's exclusive global rights in a deal that covers scripted and unscripted projects across film, television series and other formats, and will be the first on-screen adaptation of the game. Days of Wonder, the publisher of the railway-themed game, announced the deal on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
"After 20+ years of routes, tunnels, and epic cross-country connections, Ticket to Ride is heading somewhere new — with Netflix. Yes, really," the caption of Days of Wonder's new Instagram post reads. "Our favorite railway adventure is coming to the screen, and Alan R. Moon is along for the ride as Executive Producer. From your table… to your TV. All aboard !"
View this post on InstagramFans showed their appreciation for the new Netflix deal in the comments section of Days of Wonder's post on Tuesday. "Over 20+ different versions and now a Netflix series. Nice.👍," wrote one user, while another person commented, "😮😮😮😍 so curious to see."
The first project being developed under the deal is a feature film written by Ben Mekler and Chris Amick.
“Just when I thought life couldn't get more exciting, Ticket to Ride is teaming up with Netflix," author Moon, 74, said in a statement, per Days of Wonder's recent press release. "I can’t wait to help bring these exciting projects to the millions of fans of the game."
Ticket to Ride has become a pop-culture staple, selling more than 20 million copies and translated into more than 30 languages, Days of Wonder boasted on Tuesday. For 21 years, its accessibility, many maps and variations, and unique blend of strategy have brought together countless fans around the world.
On a similar note, Netflix announced back in October that it will be producing an entire franchise based on Catan in the near future. The new franchise will plan a variety of both “scripted and unscripted projects inspired by the hit board game,” marking another exciting foray by Netflix into the world of competitive gaming culture, per Tudum.
James Van Der Beek’s Friend Defends $2.6M GoFundMe With Blunt Message to Critics
Mehcad Brooks is coming in defense of his late friend James Van Der Beek.
The Law & Order actor recently took to Threads to defend the GoFundMe—set up to support Van Der Beek’s wife, Kimberly, and their six children—amid mounting criticism. The fundraiser has raised $2.6 million so far after it was revealed that the late actor’s cancer battle had left his family “out of funds.”
In a post criticizing the GoFundMe, one Threads user wrote, "This doesn’t sit right with me. Not at all. Sure, I get it. But thousands of people around the world face this exact situation every day and deal with the struggle. They don’t get $2.5 million. It’s just weird. He had to have had life insurance… and residual checks."
Brooks then fired back at the commenter, saying that the user doesn’t “know what the f—k they’re talking about.”
"I am one of the Van Der Beek’s closet friends and the headlines are fake AF you have no idea wtf you’re talking about. You have no idea the pain they went through," he wrote. "It’s ok to stfu when you can’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. It’s ok not to try to seek attention off of other people’s suffering or the generosity in response to it. Because James touched them for decades. It’s ok for you to stay quiet in the face of blind stupidity, meanness and lack of empathy. But maybe you’re not okay."

"One of the greatest honors of my life is to call @vanderjames my brother. It cannot be understated how much impact this man had on the world, particularly those who knew him closely. He was and always will be an angel among us," Brooks wrote via Instagram.
"I was with him for the last four days," he continued. "He handled the transition from flesh and blood, earth and bone to air and spirit, energy and soul like a true King."
"James truly impacted me in such a unique and special way that I’d be on this phone all day trying to explain it to you all," Brooks added. "And that will come. Right now I just want to put my condolences out there. I’m heartbroken. 💔."

Sarah Chalke’s Broadway Kiss Goes Hilariously Wrong Thanks to a “Traveling Booger”
Sometimes the magic of live theater isn’t so magical. That’s what Scrubsstar Sarah Chalke learned during a Broadway run when a romantic onstage kiss with a costar turned unexpectedly sticky — literally.
Chalke recalled that the emotional scene required her to cry moments before the kiss, resulting in the pair accidentally sharing more than just stage chemistry when lingering tears and mucus became part of the performance.
"One of the actors called in sick, and the understudy jumped in, and I hadn't experienced that before," she recounted on Dinner's On Me Podcast, hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson. "We hadn't rehearsed with this person. And so I'm literally like going like, you know, he's not kissing [me]. He's supposed to lean over and just like kiss me, and we're standing right at the edge of the front of the stage, and he's not kissing me. And I'm like, okay, so he's just got a bit of fun timing."
Chalke explained that she and her co-star hadn’t quite reached the kiss yet. “Right before that, I had to do a crying scene, and anytime I cry, my nose runs," she said. "He finally kisses me, and he pulls away, and I had a giant booger on my face that has now transferred to his face. In that moment, I realized..."
Ferguson interjected: "A travel booger."
"I was like, oh, that's why he wasn't kissing me!" Chalke realized. "So now it's on his face, and we're right at the edge of the stage, and I am mortified. We run off, and I was like, 'Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Sometimes when I cry, and my nose runs...' he's like, 'Yeah, I was waiting, hoping that you'd feel it and move it, and you did.' I felt terrible about the booger, but the best part was that every night was different.”
Catch Sarah Chalke back on ABC’s Scrubs, airing February 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
A New Made-in-Italy 'Blonde Chocolate Bar' Is Headed to Trader Joe's
There's something undeniably fun about discovering a new "category" of chocolate. Not milk, not dark and not quite white either, this golden-hued confection has been popping up in specialty shops and pastry cases with a flavor that leans toasty, caramelized and just a little bit salty. It feels European, a little luxe and slightly mysterious, like something you'd stumble upon in a tiny sweets shop in Italy—except this time, you won't need a plane ticket to try it.
The new Blonde Chocolate Bar at Trader Joe's is produced in Italy by a multi-generational chocolate maker, which already gives it a certain European flair. Instead of sticking with classic white chocolate, this bar leans into blonde chocolate territory, meaning the cocoa butter base is gently caramelized to create a warm golden color and a toasted, almost butterscotch-like flavor. The sweetness is balanced with a subtle salty edge, and there are cookie bits mixed throughout for a light crunch that keeps things interesting.
At $2.69 for a 2.64-ounce bar, it feels like a very on-brand Trader Joe's move: specialty vibes, accessible price. And because it's Made in Italy, it has that imported treat energy without the imported treat price tag.

How Does It Compare to the "Fourth Chocolate"?Trader Joe's
If you're deep in the chocolate world, you might be thinking about Valrhona and its famous Dulcey, often described as the "fourth chocolate" thanks to its caramelized white chocolate profile. While Trader Joe's hasn't positioned this Blonde Chocolate Bar as a dupe, the flavor direction is similar enough that shoppers are making the connection.
That said, the Trader Joe's version feels more snackable and less pastry-chef precious. The blonde chocolate here is creamy and sweet with a toasty undertone, and the cookie pieces add a playful twist. Some fans are already speculating that it may skew on the sweeter side, while others are counting down the days to try it. If you love caramel, shortbread or anything that pairs well with coffee, this could easily become a repeat buy.
Speaking of pairings, blonde chocolate tends to shine next to bold flavors. A strong cup of coffee, a latte or even a creamy milk tea would cut through the sweetness beautifully. You could also break it into chunks for a low-effort dessert board situation at home. Trader Joe's has built a reputation for turning niche food trends into everyday staples, and this Made-In-Italy Blonde Chocolate Bar feels like another example.

Biles, the seven time Olympic gold medalist, shared in a Tuesday, Feb. 17 interview on the Today show, that she reached out to Malinin following his disappointing finish.
"I’ve sent him messages on Instagram as well, obviously, it’s all been private because I know what he’s going through and I know most athletes might not be able to relate, and it’s really, really hard to watch," she said.
During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Biles had a similar experience to Malinin when she had to pull out of the team competition due to suffering from the "twisties."

Earlier in the Feb. 17 broadcast, Malinin also spoke with Today on how he dealt with the pressure coming in to the Olympics undefeated.
"The most honest way to say it is just a lot on you, so many eyes, so much attention not only from people, or fans, media, it’s just so much and it really can get to you if you’re not ready to fully embrace it," he said.
He continued, "I think that might be one of the mistakes I made going into that free skate was I was not ready to handle that to a full extent, so I think looking back at that, now I’ll be able to kind of understand how that feels so I’ll be able to take a full approach leading up to the next games hopefully."
Biles and Malinin were able to meet each other following the broadcast which was shared on Instagram by Today.
View this post on InstagramFrom City Street Tacos to Sandy Shores, This Sun-Drenched Destination Is Seeing Record Visitors
From Mexico City's world-famous street tacos sizzling on flat-top grills to the Pacific and Caribbean coastlines' wide, golden beaches lined with palm trees, Mexico had a record-breaking year for international travel. New tourism data shows that visitor numbers have surged past previous highs, fueled by strong air connectivity, favorable exchange rates, and a growing appetite for culture-rich, food-forward getaways.
Mexico, which is the sixth most-visited country in the world, saw tourism reach 98.2 million in 2025, marking a 13.6 percent increase over the year prior, according to a press release by Mexico's Ministry of Tourism.
The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, added that foreign exchange earnings from international visitors hit $34.992 billion, indicating a 6.2 percent jump from 2024, boosting the job market and overall economy.
"The figures for 2025 confirm that Mexico is experiencing a solid and sustained period in tourism," he stated. "Never before in our country's history have so many visitors arrived in Mexico in a single year. This result reflects a strong, resilient sector with a clear vision for the future."
With 47.8 million tourists booking overnight stays in Mexico (6.1 percent more than in 2024), the country is headed into 2026 with a more competitive tourism sector than ever before.
"We are approaching 2026 with a strengthened, competitive tourism sector and a solid foundation for continued growth," he said. "Tourism will continue to be a tool for social, economic, and territorial transformation for the country."
Ever more travelers are flocking to Mexico for the full sensory experience. In bustling urban centers, mornings begin with fresh tortillas, spicy salsas, and locally brewed coffee from neighborhood cafés. Markets hum with energy as vendors sell handmade crafts, colorful textiles, and regional specialties passed down through generations. Many other visitors trade city streets for sandy shores, where warm waters and year-round sunshine offer visitors endless swimming, surfing, and sunbathing
Of course, food remains one of the biggest draws. Culinary tourism has exploded, with travelers planning entire itineraries around street food tours, regional cooking classes, and reservations at award-winning restaurants. Tacos, fresh seafood, citrusy cocktails, and slow-simmered sauces are cultural entry points that connect visitors to local history and tradition.
Part of the tourism boom, however, can also be traced to improved infrastructure and expanded flight routes from major U.S., Canadian, and European hubs. Airlines have added capacity to meet demand, while new hotel openings—from boutique stays in historic districts to all-inclusive beachfront resorts—are giving travelers more options than ever.
Digital nomads and extended-stay visitors are also contributing to longer average trip lengths, blending work and leisure in a destination that makes both feel effortless.
Whether travelers come for the flavors, the festivals, or the flawless weather, one thing is clear: From vibrant city corners to postcard-perfect coastlines, this destination is no longer just a favorite. It's officially a global travel powerhouse.

James Van Der Beek and Wife Kimberly Van Der Beek Renewed Their Wedding Vows Days Before His Death
James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, renewed their wedding vows prior to his death.
Kimberly, 43, reflected on the ceremony in a Tuesday, February 17, interview with People.
“We decided two days beforehand and our friends got us new rings, filled our bedroom with flowers and candles, and we renewed our vows from bed,” she recalled, describing the event as “simple and beautiful and moving.”
The couple’s family and a handful of their close friends attended the ceremony in person, while other friends watched over Zoom. Meanwhile, their instrumentalist pal Poranguí performed the “most beautiful music” for the duo, concluding the event with “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
James and Kimberly’s vow renewal came more than 15 years after they tied the knot in August 2010. The pair shared six children: Olivia, 15, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 12, Emilia, 9, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 4.
Kimberly announced James’ death via Instagram on Wednesday, February 11, following his battle with colorectal cancer. He was 48.
“Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning,” her statement read. “He met his final days with courage, faith and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.”
James was surrounded by his friends in his final days, with several sharing memories of their last moments together.
“This was taken by @vanderkimberly just a few minutes before I said my last goodbye. My last moment was making him laugh one last time,” Alfonso Ribeiro captioned an Instagram photo of himself embracing James at his bedside. “I really miss him already.”
Stacy Keibler, for her part, posted an Instagram picture of herself and a wheelchair-bound James watching a sunset.
“In these past days, you taught me more about being present than any book ever could,” Keibler, 46, wrote. “You showed me what it looks like to trust God’s plan, even when it breaks your heart. Especially when it breaks your heart. The other night we watched the sunset together as you shared your wisdom, your hopes and the promises we made to each other. We talked about how this world can feel upside down … and how maybe heaven needs your spirit now to help steady us down here. And just as the sun slipped away, a shooting star crossed the sky … as if to remind us that none of this is random.”
Kimberly and her family have also received financial support from friends and fans following James’ death, with a GoFundMe launched on Wednesday already raising more than $2 million.
“In the wake of this loss, Kimberly and the children are facing an uncertain future,” a message on the website read. “The costs of James’ medical care and the extended fight against cancer have left the family out of funds. They are working hard to stay in their home and to ensure the children can continue their education and maintain some stability during this incredibly difficult time. The support of friends, family and the wider community will make a world of difference as they navigate the road ahead. Your generosity will help cover essential living expenses, pay bills and support the children’s education.”
