Livvy Dunne Runs in ‘Slow Motion’ Wearing Iconic Red ‘Baywatch’ Swimsuit
Gymnast Livvy Dunne is ready for her next role. The 23-year-old LSU graduate was announced as one of the latest additions to the cast for the upcoming Baywatch reboot, and she's already getting into the role.
Earlier this month, we learned she was cast as the "enthusiastic junior lifeguard" Grace for the upcoming FOX remake. This will be Dunne's first on-screen role, but based on what we've seen so far, she is made for the part.
On Sunday, Mar. 22, the gymnast-turned-actor posted a series of photos to Instagram to show off her new role. In the photos, she is suited up in that iconic red swimsuit. In the first picture, her hair was pulled back into a blonde ponytail as she ran across the wet sand.
The second photo was a group shot that included castmates Ashley Moore, Noah Beck, Jessica Belkin, and Luke Eisner posing in front of a lifted red SUV.
The third photo featured Dunne solo again; this time her long blonde hair was styled down and flowed past her shoulders in contrast with her golden bronze tan. She's still wearing the famous lifeguard uniform and an orange rescue buoy.
Addition photos feature Dunne posing alongside another castmate, Hassie Harrison, and laying on the beach in red string bikini bottoms and a cropped white tank while reading her script. The final photos show the article announcing her role and a selfie where the gymnast excitedly holds her script close to her chest.
View this post on InstagramShe captioned the group of photos, writing, "I only run in slow motion now."
A week prior, she shared additional photos from the buzzy set, writing, "I’m not a lifeguard, but i play one on tv 🛟 @baywatchtv #baywatch"
Baywatch co-star, Shay Mitchell, saw the post and shared her reaction, writing, "Here we goooooo!!! 💕🌊"
Brooks Nader, who also was cast for the upcoming reboot, wrote, "LETS GO BABY."
Steven Amell, who will star as a grown up Hobie Buchannon, also chimed in, "PROJECT"
Clearly, the Baywatch cast is just as excited for this upcoming reimaging as the fans are, and they were also spotted in the comments congratulating Dunne for landing her first role.
The upcoming Baywatch reboot will air on FOX in the 2026-2027 television season and just began production this month. The series is scheduled for 12 episodes in the premiere season. So far, the only original cast member to return is David Chokachi, who will reprise his role as Cody Madison.
Flying During a Shutdown? This TSA Tool Can Help You Plan Ahead
Air travel in the United States has always required a bit of patience but during a government shutdown, it can quickly turn into a logistical nightmare. With Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staffing stretched thin and wait times skyrocketing, travelers are now turning to real-time tracking tools as an essential part of their journey planning.
The current partial government shutdown, which has affected the Department of Homeland Security since mid-February 2026, has created significant ripple effects across the nation’s airports. TSA agents, many working without pay, have increasingly called out sick or left their positions altogether, leading to fewer open security lanes and longer lines.
The result? In some cases, security wait times have ballooned to two hours or more, with reports of even longer delays at major travel hubs.
Why Real-Time TSA Tracking Matters More Than EverIn normal circumstances, travelers are advised to arrive at the airport about two hours before a domestic flight. But during a shutdown, that rule of thumb becomes unreliable. Conditions can shift rapidly depending on staffing levels, flight schedules, and even the time of day.
This is where TSA real-time tracking tools come in.
Travelers now have several ways to check wait times before heading to the airport. Airport websites often provide live updates for each terminal and checkpoint, offering a snapshot of current conditions. Meanwhile, the MyTSA mobile app aggregates data and historical trends to help predict how busy a checkpoint might be.
Third-party websites also track delays across multiple airports, giving travelers a broader view of nationwide congestion. These tools have become especially valuable as uncertainty increases and official staffing levels fluctuate daily.
@cbsnewsAs TSA lines get longer and the situation at U.S. airports becomes more uncertain, there's a method for flyers hoping to fast-pass security wait times. In addition to keeping tabs on TSA wait-time trackers, which are often available on individual airports' websites, air travelers can also enroll in the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID program, a verification process that uses biometrics similar to Clear. CBS News' Kris Van Cleave breaks down what you need to know if you're heading to the airport.
♬ original sound - cbsnews The Catch: Not All Data Is ReliableWhile these tracking tools are incredibly helpful, they’re not perfect, especially during a shutdown.
In fact, the surge in demand for real-time information has exposed the limitations of some systems. The MyTSA app, for example, has seen a dramatic spike in downloads, but users have reported inconsistent or outdated information due to the same staffing shortages affecting airports.
In other words, the tools designed to reduce stress can sometimes add to the confusion. This means travelers should treat real-time trackers as guides, not guarantees. Checking multiple sources, including airport social media feeds and airline alerts, is often the best strategy.

A New Travel Strategy: Plan Like a ProThe rise of TSA wait-time tracking signals a broader shift in how people approach air travel. Instead of relying on static advice, travelers are now expected to actively monitor conditions and adjust their plans in real time.
Experts recommend arriving at least three hours early during a shutdown, especially at major airports. Others suggest avoiding checked baggage and using expedited screening programs.
Using TSA real-time trackers during a government shutdown may not be the perfect tools, but it will likely give you a general idea of what to expect. These tools empower travelers with information, helping them avoid missed flights and hours-long lines.
Until long-term solutions address the root causes of these disruptions, travelers will need to stay informed, stay flexible, and, most importantly, plan ahead.
Julia Roberts’ Iconic Rom-Com, Titled After a 1964 No. 1 Hit Track, Released 36 Years Ago
When thinking about this 1990 romantic-comedy starring Julia Roberts andRichard Gere, fans instantly sing a No. 1 chart-topping classic. Pretty Woman was released in theaters 36 years ago and gave Hollywood a long-lasting cult classic that was titled after a popular 1965 track by Roy Orbison.
By 1990, Roberts was at the start of her acting career, with Pretty Woman having solidified her Hollywood status and title as a romance queen. Gere, on the other hand, was already a leading man and sex symbol thanks to his role in American Gigolo in 1980. The two actors ended up starring in Pretty Woman as wealthy corporate raider Edward Lewis and Hollywood escort Vivian Ward.
The movie started as a dark drama depicting the reality of prostitution in Los Angeles, with the leading roles having been shopped around to actors like Molly Ringwald, Al Pacino, Daniel Day-Lewis, Winona Ryder, and more before finally landing on Gere and Richards.
Pretty Woman focuses on Edward, unable to drive a stick shift before accepting Vivian's help and leading him to spontaneously pay for an entire night with her and then an entire week. It soon becomes an unconventional love story between social classes that received mixed reviews from critics after its release on March 23, but became the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time.
It catapulted Richards to stardom, earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. She also received her first nominations for an Oscar and a BAFTA. The film has another unique history, having been titled after the 1964 Orbison song, "Oh, Pretty Woman."

Written by Orbison and Bill Dees, the track was released as a single in August of that year and spent three consecutive weeks as No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It was one of two songs to ever hit No.1 on the charts for Orbison and became certified gold. The track was also ranked one of the top four songs to come out of 1964.
According to reports, the song was inspired by Orbison's wife when she interrupted a conversation he was having. The songwriter asked if she had enough money, when Dees interjected, saying, "A pretty woman never needs any money." A perfect fit for the future 1990 film.
In 1991, Orbison posthumously won a. Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for a recording of the track in his 1988 HBO TV special. The No. 1 hit was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and was named one of the 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. The Library of Congress also preserved the song in 2008.
1968 No. 1 Hit Ranked Among the ‘Top Love Songs of All Time’ Remains a Timeless Classic—And It Has No Words
In February 1968, the top song in the United States was an unlikely hit by French orchestra leader Paul Mauriat. The song, “Love is A Blue,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Feb. 10, 1968, and remained there for five weeks.
Mauriat, the conductor of Le Grand Orchestre de Paul Mauriat, made history as the first French artist to top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and he held that title for nearly 50 years, per Stereogum.
In February 2026, Billboard named “Love is Blue” one of the top 50 love songs of all time, ranking it at No. 16 in a list topped by Diana RossandLionel Richie’s “Endless Love.”
“Love is Blue” was so popular that at the height of its chart-topping success, Mauriat performed the song on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 18, 1968.
‘Love is Blue’ was a cover of a song contest entryMauriat’s “Love is Blue” was an instrumental cover of “L’Amor est Bleu,” which was Luxembourg’s entry in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest. But the musician’s cover was a pure instrumental. Gone were the lyrics describing love through colors, written by Pierre Cour and originally performed by Vicky Leandros, making its chart success even more of a surprise.
Mauriat spoke about the true origins of the song in a 1970 interview. “First of all, I didn’t compose 'Love is Blue,’” he clarified. “’Love is Blue’ was written by a French composer, Andre Popp. And this song… you know, in Europe, you have each year contests, contest songs, and each country of Europe presents one song. And this song was for Luxembourg, and it got little success. But I loved this song very much, and I took it for my LP. And the LP came into the States.”
“I was very lucky because I got a very big success with ‘Love is Blue,’” he added.

In a 1974 interview with Ya magazine, Mauriat admitted he was stunned when he was told that “Love is Blue” was a hit in the United States.
“The truth is that at first, when they told me, I thought it was a joke,” he shared. “What filled me with intimate joy was to verify that the primary success was due to my own instrumentation, to the impeccable interpretation of my [orchestra], which, excited, shared the bliss, creating the tightest musical ensemble ever desired.”
Mauriat’s hot streak continued later that year with an orchestral recording of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang theme song, which went to No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Away Quietly Launched a Whole New Luggage Category and It’s a Game Changer
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you’ve ever spent your first hour in a hotel room wrestling with a temperamental steamer or praying the bathroom shower steam would magically fix your mother-of-the-bride dress, Away just launched the solution you didn’t know you needed. On February 24, the brand quietly disrupted the luggage market by dropping an entirely new category: the Softside Garment Roller.
Think of this as a closet on wheels rather than a traditional suitcase. It is specifically designed for high-stakes travel—weddings, work conferences or Fashion Month—where "looking meeting-ready" is the only option. Instead of the usual folding and rolling, this case uses a "flat-file" logic. You essentially slip your dresses, suits and coordinated outfits into the bag, zip it once and head to the airport.
I actually got a chance to test this out recently, and it is a total game-changer for event-driven travel. It features a built-in compression system and a specialized garment bag that slips perfectly under a multi-part interior structure. It honestly reminds me of Martha Stewart’sfamous packing hack for keeping her clothes wrinkle-free by stowing them upright in her Rimowa. If you aren't a fan of the "KonMari" fold and love the idea of zero-prep packing, this is your case.

The Garment Roller is built to hold up to 8 to 10 complete outfits (roughly 16 garments) without a single fold. The interior is a "no-search" zoning system with 15 compartments designed for the specific items that usually get lost or tangled:
- Jewelry and Makeup: Dedicated padded zones so your necklaces don't become a bird's nest.
- Accessories: Targeted spots for shoes and evening bags.
- The Lay-Flat Design: When you arrive, you open the case and can see every outfit at once, allowing you to "open, retrieve and close" in seconds.

The Reality CheckWhile the convenience is unmatched, there is a logistical downside to consider: this is a specialized piece of kit. Because of its unique dimensions and the need to protect formalwear, it’s likely not a checkable bag if you want to ensure your gowns stay pristine. However, for the ease of skipping the hotel iron and arriving "presentation-ready," that’s a tradeoff many frequent flyers will gladly make.
The Softside Garment Roller is available in Jet Black and Navy Blue for $495. For the founder, the executive or the wedding guest who values their time as much as their wardrobe, it’s the ultimate "reclaim the hotel-room hour" investment.
Costco's New Crab Cakes With Lemon Slices Has Shoppers Calling It the Perfect Midweek Dinner: 'You Are In For A Treat'
For most people (ourselves included), the last thing we want to see on our daily to-do list is to come home after a long day of work and immediately start piecing together an energy-draining dinner recipe.
Fortunately, Costco has shoppers covered when it comes to their quick and easy prepared meals and other easy dinners, leaving us more than satisfied every time we come home, kick up our feet and get to work enjoying the simple pleasures of our personal lives.
As many great meals as Costco has lining its aisles, the warehouse supplier's newest product might very well be one of its most exciting to date.
According to a new post from the diligent Costco fan account costcobuys, the chain has officially rolled out a new platter of fresh-made Crab Cakes with Lemon Slices at locations across the country.
A delicious spin on the classic Maryland-style seafood dish, the new Crab Cakes feature lump crab meat, soft bread crumbs and other flavorful spices, along with sizable slices of lemon to add some refreshing tang to each and every bite.
"Crab Cakes with Lemon Slices are at the Costco prepared food section and they look restaurant-worthy right out of the container!" costocbuys said of the new product. "They’re loaded with real crab meat and seasoned with dijon mustard, worcestershire, seafood seasoning, and fresh parsley, and you can bake them in the oven or throw them in the air fryer."
At an average price of $21.99 per pound, Costco's new Crab Cakes are a predictably fantastic bang for your buck. And if online shoppers' reactions are any indication, they're also a worthwhile buy when it comes to a fast meal to make in the middle of the week.
As one shopper helpfully pointed out, "You are in such for a treat! I've been making crab cakes for years and these are so delicious. I have a whole folder just for seafood in my Honeydew app and this recipe has certainly earned a spot there."
This Is Hands-Down the Best Milkshake in Pennsylvania (And the Food Is To-Die for Too)
Growing up in Philadelphia, I didn't have a shortage of great food around me. My beloved city is known for so many signature dishes, from cheesesteak to roast pork sandwich. But in my humble opinion, we are home to one of the most underrated milkshakes in the entire state.
Nifty Fifty’s was the place we all flocked to growing up. The '50s-style diner was a genuinely unique gem in Northeast Philly. Not only did it have a fun theme, with retro decor and jukeboxes at every table, but the food was (and remains) some of the highest-quality and freshest in the city. They also have a large flavored soda bar that lets you customize your Coke with flavored syrups you won’t necessarily find on shelves.
But above all, the standout menu item is their insanely delicious milkshakes.
What Makes Nifty Fifty’s Milkshakes So SpecialMy best friend and I had a little tradition every time we went—we always ordered an Oreo milkshake and then picked a second flavor to try. Nifty Fifty’s does not skimp on sizes, so we’d ask for two extra glasses and divide them equally. There are over 100 flavors to choose from, ranging from classic black-and-whites to more adventurous options like green apple and blueberry cheesecake, so there was always something new to try.
The shakes are all hand-spun, with fresh ingredients added to give them a rich, textured variety—many of them rooted in hometown favorites. There are even flavors inspired by Tastykake treats, including Butterscotch Krimpet and Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, along with seasonal specials Philly locals know and love.

But don’t just take my word for it. The diner, which has been open since 1987, is a 10-time “Best of Philly” winner—not just for its milkshakes, but for its fresh food, too. Online buzz from platforms like Instagram and TikTok shows an unbridled passion for its sweet treats and classic comfort food offerings.
The diner also offers a bountiful breakfast, complete with fresh-squeezed orange juice and made-to-order dishes. By lunchtime, it shifts into classic greasy-spoon fare, with hand-cut fries and timeless burger options the whole family will love.

“Love Nifty’s, they never disappoint on the shakes,” wrote another.
“The staff here is super nice too! Great food and great service—I love going there,” added another.

Currently, there are eight locations in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, along with two in New Jersey and one in Delaware. While the business is open to franchise opportunities, it hasn’t compromised on its scratch-made ’50s standards or its extremely affordable prices.
These days, I’m living in central New Jersey and recently made the just-over-20-minute drive to treat my son to his first Nifty Fifty’s experience. From the ’50s-style paper hats they give you to the massive portions, it was absolutely worth the trip—and I know I’ll be going back as long as they’re open.
Barry Manilow Announces First New Album In Nearly 15 Years
Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilowhas just announced a brand-new album titled "What A Time," his first new album in nearly 15 years, to be released on June 5, 2026. The album will reportedly feature almost entirely new songs and promises "Manilow’s signature melodic grandeur with fresh textures and stylistic turns."
The album was announced on the official Barry Manilow Instagram account, and the comments are already flooded with messages of support and excitement.
View this post on InstagramOne comment reads, "Listening from Amelia Island FL…What beautiful start to my day! The same feelings we share when we see YOU Barry❤️. What a Time we are still having…," and another says, "This album is a dream come true for so many fans! ❤️."
One relieved commenter also wrote, "don't ever use a b&w picture of barry again! thought the worst happened." While that might seem grim, it likely has to do with the 82-year-old's recently announced cancer diagnosis. In December, Manilow shared that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer, although he remained optimistic.
That original message, among other things, read, "As many of you know, I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks. Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI just to make sure that everyone was OK. The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news."
He continued, "The doctors do not believe it has spread and I’m taking tests to confirm their diagnosis. So, that’s it. No chemo. No radiation. Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns," explaining that he had a surgery scheduled to remove the spot.
The diagnosis led to the cancellation of some concerts in the "I Write The Songs" singer's ongoing tour, but Manilow shared an optimistic hospital photo shortly thereafter, and he is expected to resume the tour in April.

Pink’s Throwback Video of Daughter Willow Has Fans Feeling Nostalgic
It really does go by so fast. One day, there’s a little plus popping up on a pregnancy test, and before you know it, boom, you have a teenager.
Superstar mom, Pink, just posted a throwback clip of her daughter Willow, and fans can’t believe how quickly time flies. The singer recently took to Instagram to share a video montage of some of her favorite memories.
Who is Pink’s daughter?Pink is more than just a performer. The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is also a mom of two! After tying the knot with hubby, freestyle motocross pro Carey Hart, in 2006, the couple welcomed their daughter, Willow Sage Hart, in June of 2011. Five years later, their family grew again with the birth of their son, Jameson Moon Hart, on December 25, 2016.
Despite rumors that the 46-year-old and husband Hart split last February, it looks like the pair is still very much together. Pink took to Instagram, posting a video clearing the air, “So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know.” She went on to add, “I was also wondering if you would like to tell our children? My 14- and 9-year-old are also unaware.”
Along with a laundry list of “real news” and accomplishments (like her nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), the singer posted the caption, “Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype. Stay tuned though! Who knows what could happen next!!?!”
Celebs and fans alike applauded her bold statement. Actress Juliette Lewis commented, “This is such a beautiful response,” and Reese Witherspoon wrote, “Set ‘em straight!”
What did Pink recently post on Instagram? The fantastically fierce divorce-drama/fake-news clip wasn’t the only video the celeb recently posted on Instagram. The mama-to-two also shared an absolutely aww-dorable throwback to 14-year-old daughter Willow’s younger years.
Like other working moms, Pink is no stranger to taking her kiddos to work. But luckily for her little ones, a day with mom includes more than sitting at a desk or answering emails. Instead, baby Willow (back in 2012) got to go on set with her famous mother and enjoy the perks of a fun-filled photo shoot. Living her best life, the diaper-clad kiddo is seen snuggling with mom and smiling for the camera.
What did fans think of this oh-so-sweet snippet? One gushed, “When I was young I would always wish you were my mom. Willow has the best Mama.”
Of course, the applause didn’t end ther. More than just a few of the singer’s supporters also praised the clip. One commenter wrote, “It all goes so fast!” and another added, “The BEST mom ever.” We couldn’t have said it better!
'90 Day Fiancé's Sophie Sierra Reacts to Dating Pedro Jimeno After Explosive Money Drama: 'I’ve Never Spoken to Chantel’:
Sophie Sierra is opening up about her newfound romance with Pedro Jimeno and whether she’s heard from his ex since the news of their relationship became public.
Pedro rose to fame in the 90 Day world through his journey marrying Chantel Everett, a marriage that ended with a fair dose of drama. When asked whether Chantel had reached out with a warning, Sophie made it clear there’s been zero contact.
“No, I've actually never spoken to Chantel,” she said. “Yeah. Even when she found out because I'm sure she saw [we were seeing one another], like I never, I haven't spoken to her.”
Of course, any conversation about Pedro inevitably leads back to the financial drama that played out publicly during his split from Chantel on their spin-off series The Family Chantel, particularly the controversy over a joint bank account that reportedly held $265,000.
Sophie admitted she hadn’t watched their show in full and only knows Pedro’s version of events.
“Yeah, all I know, because I hadn't seen their season, I just know what Pedro has told me,” she explained. “All I know is he did bring up, like, she stole from him.”
However, Cortney Reardanz jumped in to offer a different perspective, claiming Chantel’s withdrawal of the funds was legal because her name was also on the account and she was concerned Pedro would move the money abroad. According to Cortney, the money was ultimately handed over to the court to be handled legally.

Sophie responded, “Oh, see, he told me it was his money. So, like I said, I don't get to mess like I'm involved. I just know what he told me.”
While Pedro’s marriage came to a rather explosive conclusion, so did Sophie’s marriage to Rob Warne. She said candidly, “I think having a public toxic relationship in general is a lot, but because we've both been in that situation, I think we can give each other grace.”
She added with a laugh, “We were not that messy. We wasn't stealing from each other, but you know.”
Beyond relationship drama, Sophie also reflected on her decision to move from England to the United States five years ago on a K1 visa, a move that dramatically changed the course of her life. When asked what advice she’d give her pre-America self, she initially joked, “Don't move! I'm just kidding.”
Before she continued, “I would just say, maybe wait to move, wait a few years before moving. In England, I was really establishing my career and doing well. I think I moved right in the middle of that, so I wasn't really ready.”
Sophie was just 23 at the time.
Though her mom had reservations about the relationship that prompted the move, Sophie said her family ultimately supported her decision. “Everyone was pretty much ‘don't do it,’ but I just did it anyway.”
Sophie also responded to comments previously made by her ex, Rob, who told Parade last year that he felt he “did everything that he could” to save their marriage. Her response?
“No,” she said simply.
“I don't want to talk too much about my ex, to be honest, at this point,” she continued. “But I will say is just no, I don't agree with that. I think publicly it's made to look that way. But I know what happened in my relationship. And if he did everything he could do, we would have been together.”
Watch Sophie and Pedro’s story play out every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC’s 90 Day: The Single Life.
The $19 Lasagna: The Real Cost of Your Favorite Restaurant Meal
If you’ve ever looked at a restaurant bill and felt a sudden, sharp pain in your checking account, you aren’t being cynical. That plate of lasagna you ordered last night might be the source of your budget woes. A March 2026 report from BLogic Systems just confirmed what we’ve all suspected: we are paying a premium for the comfort and convenience. In some cases, we're talking about markups of nearly 600%. By comparing average menu prices against the cost of store-bought ingredients, the study found a massive gulf between a home-cooked meal and the price of a night out.
Topping the list is lasagna. While 79% of us rank it as a top-tier craving, it carries a 586% markup—the highest percentage in the entire report. At home, a single portion costs $2.77. At a restaurant? The average price is $19. Because it’s the most complex dish to pull off, restaurants charge diners for the labor of love they’d rather not do themselves.
Fettuccine alfredo isn’t far behind lasagna on the list. Despite being one of the simplest recipes to replicate while binging your favorite reality show, restaurants charge roughly $18.80 for a plate that costs just $2.80 in your own kitchen. That 571% gap is based on popularity; we love it, so we pay for the ease of a stir and serve meal we could have cooked ourselves in fifteen minutes.
Fajitas sit in third place, costing about $3.15 to assemble at home but pulling $20 at a restaurant. Then there’s ramen, the ultimate cold-weather staple, which carries a 499% markup. While it only takes $2.34 to build a bowl from scratch, customers typically pay over $14 for the Instagram-worthy aesthetic and a perfect soft-boiled egg.
Whether you’re at a fast-food drive-thru or a trendy gastro-pub, you’re likely paying around $14.60 for a hamburger that costs $2.72 in raw materials. That’s a 438% markup on a staple that defines American comfort food. There's also the steak and baked potato combo: it’s the most expensive dish on the entire list, with restaurants charging an average of $25.00 for a plate that costs $8.70 to source yourself. While a steak carries a lower percentage markup than the pasta, it’s the biggest hit to your wallet for a single sitting. Diners are paying for the high-heat sear and the fact that they didn't have to set off their smoke alarm at home to get that perfect crust.
While the percentages look askew, it’s not all profit. As a spokesperson for BLogic Systems noted in the report: “Every restaurant makes prices higher than they are, because they need to pay for labor, rent, utilities, insurance, and credit card processing fees. But the meals with the biggest markup show how restaurants stay profitable. Many people go to restaurants or order takeout because they don’t want to cook themselves either, and they’re ready to pay exactly for that. The markup gap is useful information for those who need to limit their budgets, or who want to try cooking more, but most Americans will still go to the restaurant to have their favorite meal.” At the end of the day, whether we’re buying time along with a $25 steak or a $4.80 plate of fried chicken, it turns out that not doing the dishes may be the most important ingredient on the menu.

Whether you are planning a weekend brunch on the deck or looking for a quiet spot to catch up on some reading in the fresh air, the quality of your outdoor environment is directly tied to how well you can manage the elements.
Modern outdoor decor is no longer just about aesthetics; it is about finding pieces that can handle the rigors of the season while providing genuine protection for you and your family. Homeowners are increasingly looking for durable, low-maintenance solutions that offer more than just a place to hide from the sun's rays. From materials that block harmful radiation to structural designs that can breathe with the wind, the right overhead cover for your outdoor living room defines the space and helps you stay cool and comfortable.
HÖGÖN Umbrella, $79.99 at IkeaIkea
Shop It!The IKEA HÖGÖN Umbrella, priced at $79.99, is a standout choice for those seeking sun protection. The deep navy shade offers a timeless, nautical look that complements contemporary patio furniture. Beyond its style, the performance is exceptional; the fabric provides very good protection against the sun's ultraviolet rays with a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating of 25+. The high rating means the canopy blocks 96 percent of UV radiation, allowing you to enjoy your outdoor space with peace of mind during peak sun hours.

Durability is built into the frame, as the umbrella pole is made of aluminum, a naturally rust-resistant material. This makes it an ideal choice for humid climates or poolside placement. It's easy to open and close by simply pulling the handle up or down, and the mechanism automatically locks in the open position. For those who worry about wind, the integrated air vent reduces wind pressure, allowing heat to circulate and keeping the area underneath significantly cooler while preventing the umbrella from catching too much air.
Practicality remains a top priority with this design. It is remarkably easy to keep the canopy clean and fresh because you can quickly remove the fabric and throw it into the washing machine—a major win for dealing with pollen, dust or bird droppings. When the day is done, a convenient hook-and-loop strap keeps the fabric securely in place once folded. At $79.99, it is a smart, durable investment for anyone wanting to maximize their summer comfort.

Taylor has a different version of what happened. He claimed Ritchson fell off his bike. "Can you f---ing stop this please?" he said he asked the actor before the physical altercation, according to TMZ. He claimed he wanted Ritchson to stop speeding and revving his engine in the neighborhood.
Ritchson tried to leave and Taylor shoved him to the ground, according to a later report. That's when the actor responded.
TMZ has video of what is allegedly the War Machine star punching a man three times before returning to his green Kawasaki bike. His two children stopped on the street to watch the interaction.
The video showed the actor struggling to get the bike started again as the neighbor yelled at him after he gained his composure from the punches.
Taylor shared a picture of scrapes on his face after the interaction. Ritchson reportedly had cuts, bruises, and a minor injury on his finger. Law enforcement is reportedly investigating the incident.
Ritchson has three boys with his wife, Catherine. They are named Calem, 13, Edan, 12, and Amory, 10. The actor posted an Instagram video of himself in bed, happily singing about getting a good night's sleep the morning before the interaction.

Madonna Seen Filming in Venice With the Actress Set to Play Her — What We Know
Will the world ever get the Madonna movie fans have been waiting patiently for?
Julia Garner was slated to portray the icon, though we haven't heard much since. In the meantime, while folks remains hopeful, the pair of award-winning performers were just spotted riding a Gondola in Venice, Italy together, Just Jared reports.
Added to that, there were cameras were rolling as Garner, 32, and the "Material Girl" singer, 67, sat side-by-side. Check out the image of them on a Venetian canal below.
View this post on InstagramOf course, this setup rules out the possibility that it was all captured for the long-anticipated Madonna biopic. However, it recently revealed that the Grammy winner had joined season 2 of The Studio, which is currently in production.
Earlier in the weekend, the celebrity gossip resource known as deuxmoi posted to Instagram a series of photos of Madonna and Garner shooting in other costumes for The Studio. In the comments section of the carousel post, fans speculated that the hit Apple TV show may be going expectedly "meta" by addressing the "scrapped" Madonna movie within its own storyline.
View this post on InstagramThe last time Madonna showed up in a role on a TV show was back in 2003, when she popped up as a guest star on the sitcomWill & Grace. In the episode, she plays Liz, office manager and Karen Walker’s (Megan Mullally) post-divorce roommate.
No word on the role Madonna (or Garner) will play in next season of The Studio. Many big Hollywood names, including Ron Howard, Olivia Wilde, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron and Greta Lee, have starred on the show as absurd versions of their real celebrity selves.
Earlier this month, Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, who performs as Lolahol, was spotted hitting up all the hottest fashion shows at Paris Fashion Week. Like her mother, Leon, 29, isn’t afraid to make a statement with a risky outfit or two. At the Ann Demeulemeester fashion show at Réfectoire des Cordeliers in Paris, she even went with an outfit that had a sheer back.
18 Famous Guest Stars You Totally Forgot Appeared on 'NCIS'
Few procedurals have had the longevity—or the casting reach—of NCIS. Over the years, the CBS series, which premiered in 2003 and will air its 500th episode on March 24, 2026, has become both a launchpad for up-and-comers and a pitstop for established actors.
From “before they were famous” guest stars to A-list cameos, here’s a look at some of the biggest names to pass through the NCIS universe.
Most Famous Guest Stars on NCISGlen Powell Glen Powell in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Long before he was cast to play “Hangman” in 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, Powell made an appearance on NCIS in the Season 10 two-parter “Shell Shock” (Parts I & II), which aired in November 2012. In a fitting bit of early career foreshadowing, he took on the role of Marine Sergeant Evan Westcott, brother to Captain Joe Westcott, a decorated veteran struggling with severe PTSD.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Powell once recalled how early TV roles helped keep the lights on when he was a struggling actor in Hollywood. “I would do an episode of NCIS, and that would keep me afloat for a year,” he said.
Millie Bobby Brown Millie Bobby Brown in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Two years before Stranger Things made her a global star, Brown appeared in a 2014 episode of NCIS titled “Parental Guidance Suggested.” She played Rachel Barnes, a seemingly innocent girl who is ultimately revealed to have killed her mother to get her Navy SEAL father’s attention. The twist was shocking—and Brown’s eerie, controlled performance hinted at her future in Hawkins.

Jesse Plemons Jesse Plemons in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Plemons popped up in the 2006 Season 3 episode “Deception,” playing a teen connected to a kidnapping investigation. That same year, his breakout show Friday Night Lights premiered, setting the stage for a critically acclaimed career that has so far included roles in Breaking Bad, Killers of the Flower Moon, Fargo, Bugonia and more.
Zac Efron Zac Efron (L) in 'NCIS"Courtesy of CBS
Efron starred alongside Plemons in “Deception,” also playing a teen embroiled in a kidnapping case. Three days after his episode aired, High School Musical premiered on Disney Channel, turning him into a household name.

Abigail Breslin Mark Harmon (L) and Abigail Breslin (R) in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
In 2004, a young Breslin appeared in the episode “See No Evil,” playing Sandy Watson, the blind daughter of a Naval officer who is kidnapped alongside her mother for ransom. Two years later, she’d charm the pants off audiences as the star of Little Miss Sunshine.
Corey Stoll Corey Stoll (R) on 'NCIS'Ron Jaffe/CBS
Stoll appeared in CSI, NYPD Blue and Law & Order before landing a three-episode arc in NCIS Season 4 ("Smoked," "Driven" and "Blowback"). His character, Martin Quinn, was an international arms dealer who worked with that season’s main villain, René Benoit (Armand Assante). Following his string of roles on procedurals, he starred in House of Cards, the Ant-Man franchise, Billions and more.
Colin Hanks Colin Hanks as Richard Parsons in 'NCIS'Courtesy of
Hanks appeared in a three-episode arc that began at the end of Season 10 and wrapped with the Season 11 premiere. He played Richard Parsons, a Department of Defense investigator who’s determined to take down Gibbs (Mark Harmon)—at least at first. By the end of the storyline, he comes to understand what the NCIS audience already knows. Gibbs is damn good at his job.
Bob Newhart Bob Newhart (center) as Dr. Walter Magnus in 'NCIS'Sonja Flemming/CBS
Comedy legend Newhart appeared in the 2011 episode “Recruited” as Dr. Walter Magnus, the former NCIS chief medical examiner and a mentor to Ducky (the late David McCallum). In the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, Dr. Magnus helps out with one final case before retiring.
Michelle Obama Michelle Obama (center) in 'NCIS'Official White House Photo by Lawrence Jackson via CBS
In a rare and high-profile cameo, Obama appeared as herself in a 2016 episode (“Homefront”), hosting Agent Gibbs at the White House to support a military initiative. It was one of the show’s most talked-about guest appearances.
Lily Tomlin Lily Tomlin (L) as Penelope Langston in 'NCIS'Sonja Flemming/CBS
A comedy legend, Tomlin was a big get for the series in 2011, when she guest-starred in an episode called “The Penelope Papers.” She played Penelope Langston, a wealthy and eccentric grandmother who gets caught up in a murder investigation involving a Naval lieutenant.
Taye Diggs Taye Diggs as Aaron Davis in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Diggs guest-starred in a 2016 episode (“Scope”) as Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis, a wounded special operations sniper who suffers from PTSD and enters into a music therapy program. Appearing in the series’ 300th episode, Diggs’ role tapped into his chops as a musician.
"For our 300th episode we needed a guest actor who could proudly portray one of our nation's wounded warriors as well as participate in a very touching musical performance," the late showrunner Gary Glasbergsaid in a statement at the time. "This emotionally charged role is tailor-made for Taye Diggs and we are so thrilled and honored to have him join us."
Jon Cryer Jon Cryer as Dr. Cyril Taft in 'NCIS'Sonja Flemming/CBS
Following Two and a Half Men, Cryer appeared in three episodes of NCIS as Dr. Cyril Taft, a surgeon who saves Gibbs’ life by removing a shattered bullet from his chest.
“Two and a Half Men and NCIS actually started the same year, and ever since, every time I would run into one of the actors from NCIS at CBS functions, I’d hock them incessantly for a chance to act on the show,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve loved it from the first season, but I always wanted to be one of the characters who die entertainingly in the first two minutes of the show … So when I first read the script and realized the importance of my character I thought “Sweet lord! What part of ‘I just want to die entertainingly in the first two minutes’ did you not understand?!’”

Gena Rowlands Gena Rowlands (L) in 'NCIS'Michael Yarish/CBS
The legendary actress graced the set of NCIS for the 2010 episode “Mother’s Day,” playing mother to Gibbs’ late ex-wife and grandmother to his deceased daughter, Kelly. She becomes a prime suspect in the death of Joseph Norton, who was shot while proposing to her.
Eric Stonestreet Eric Stonestreet as Harvey Ames in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Less than a year before becoming a household name on Modern Family, Stonestreet guest-starred on NCIS in the Season 6 (2008) episode “Silent Night.” He played Harvey Ames, a security guard who kills husband-and-wife clients during a home invasion gone awry. Very different from his star-making turn as the big-hearted Cam Tucker!
Susan Kelechi Watson Susan Kelechi Watson in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Watson was steadily building a résumé with guest roles on procedurals when she landed a three-episode arc as an intel analyst on NCIS Season 5. It would be another eight years before she became widely known for her turn as Beth Pearson on This Is Us.
Mya Mya in 'NCIS'Courtesy of CBS
Grammy-winning singer Mya guest-starred in a 2005 Season 2 episode of NCIS (“Pop Life”), turning up as a lounge singer involved in a murder investigation. By then she was already famous for hits like “Case of the Ex” and her chart-topping cover of "Lady Marmalade" alongside Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil' Kim.
Scott Wolf Scott Wolf in 'NCIS'Cliff Lipson/CBS
The Party of Five alum and Doc star appeared in three nonconsecutive Season 9 episodes: “Nature of the Beast,” “Housekeeping,” and “Till Death Do Us Part.” In a sharp departure from his typically sweet roles up till then, he played a rogue ex–Navy SEAL turned assassin who targets Special Agent Tony DiNozzo—but ultimately sacrifices himself to save members of the NCIS team.
“They told a very cool story with my character,” Wolf said in an interview with TV Insider. “...He was this rogue ex–Navy SEAL who wanted to hurt people, but they wound up redeeming him in the end.”
Jamie Lee Curtis Jamie Lee Curtis (L) as Dr. Samantha Ryan in 'NCIS'Monty Brinton/CBS
Curtis had a recurring role between 2012 and 2013 as Dr. Samantha Ryan, a psychologist and love interest for Gibbs. When Curtis learned in 2021 that Harmon was leaving his “leadership position” at NCIS, she shared a throwback photo on Instagram, alongside a heartfelt caption.
"One of the unexpected delights of my varied career was being able to do five episodes opposite him and his team in front of and behind the camera,” she wrote. “My favorite line was when I was coming down from his bedroom, 'Practice makes perfect.' Certainly worked for him and his Jethro Gibbs character. Well done Harmon.”
Everything Bobby Bones Has Shared About His New Baby So Far
Just days after welcoming his first child, Bobby Bones is giving fans a small but meaningful glimpse into this new chapter of his life.
While the announcement quickly made headlines, Bones has kept many details intentionally private. Here’s everything he’s shared so far.
The longtime radio host and American Idol mentor, 45, confirmed the arrival of his baby in a heartfelt social media post on March 20, marking a major milestone for both him and his wife, Caitlin Parker.
"Our daughter, Billie Celine Estell," Bones captioned the post. "She’s named after her grandpa, and we can’t believe she’s ours."
While Bones himself has kept things relatively low-key, those close to him have acknowledged the news, offering congratulations and support.
"Oh my gosh," Bones' former Dancing With the Stars partner Sharna Burgesscommented on the post. "Congratulations you two!! Welcome to the greatest years of your life." Several country stars including Lauren Alaina, Kane Brown, and Chris Janson also shared their well wishes in the comments.
So far, Bones has not publicly shared many specifics about the baby, including the name or additional personal details. That appears to be a conscious choice, aligning with a growing trend among celebrities who opt to keep their children out of the spotlight, especially in the early days.
However, Bones shared another picture of himself holding baby Billie on March 21 (her face out of view) with the caption: "This is how we are watching the Arkansas game tonight. WooPig."
On March 22, Bones shared a video of himself walking with the baby in a stroller. "Arkansas rolling into the sweet 16 like..." text over the video reads.
"The baby is undefeated since birth!" Bones captioned the playful post.
For now, Bones seems focused on soaking in the moment. There’s been no indication that he plans to dramatically shift his career, but like many new parents, his priorities may naturally evolve.
As more updates emerge, fans will likely be watching closely, but if his initial approach is any indication, Bones will continue to share this new chapter on his own terms.

86 Years Ago, KFC's Colonel Sanders Introduced Its Iconic 'Original Recipe' For the First Time
Like every major fast food chain, KFC didn't exactly sprout as a multi-national restaurant giant over night.
As with all the biggest endeavors and corporations, the company instead came from altogether humble beginnings, requiring a significant amount of time and energy to see it through to the fruition.
Case in point with the creation of KFC's legendary Original Recipe, a blend of 11 herbs and spices the company's founder, Colonel Harland Sanders, perfected by 1940. For the last nine decades, it's the Colonel's Original Recipe that the company uses for some of their most famous chicken meals, continuing to delight prospective diners across the world.
While the Original Recipe quickly became the flagship product of KFC, it's worth noting that Sanders actually began selling fried chicken about a decade prior to the recipe's inception.
In 1930, amidst the early days of the Great Depression, Sanders (who had previously held a number of jobs including a wagoner for the U.S. Army, a steam engine stoker and an insurance salesman) began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in North Corbin, Kentucky.
For the next 10 years, the Colonel began tinkering with his chicken recipe until it reached the optimal level of flavor and spices, paving the way to the Original Recipe we all know and love today.
From there, Sanders' restaurant, originally known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, began to expand in the years that followed, with its first official franchise location opening in 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Following this, KFC locations quickly began to spread throughout the U.S. In 1964, the Colonel officially sold the company to investors, with the name eventually changed from Kentucky Fried Chicken to the modernized KFC.
While many KFC menu items have come and gone over the years, most people continue to routinely order the Colonel's Original Recipe chicken, leaving little reason to wonder about its endearing popularity today.
