Starbucks Is Giving Away Free Coffee After the Super Bowl

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 8:01am

Starbucks is making Monday a day to look forward to—at least, for this weekend.

Earlier this week, the popular coffeehouse chain officially welcomed four new drinks to its menu as well as a new limited-edition collection of cups and tumblers. We've now learned all the anticipated details about the new coffee and refreshed bakery menu it teased earlier this winter.

Not only that, but Starbucks is also launching a limited-edition single-use cup and offering its rewards program members a free tall coffee with select orders, allowing everyone to win post Super Bowl LX. So, whether you've been patiently awaiting Starbucks' new 1971 Roast or the full lineup of its bakery menu, or are here solely for the freebies, continue reading for details on what to expect and how to score a free tall iced or hot coffee.

Starbucks Drops Limited-Edition Paper Cups, Offers Free Coffee With a Drink Purchase—But Only For 1 Day

Starting with what's new, Starbucks said that beginning on Monday (Feb. 9), customers will be able to order a new dark roast inspired by the coffeehouse's roots on Pike Place. According to this morning's press release, the new dark roast is a "rare combination" of depth, drama, and silky mouthfeel. It's described as having low acidity, full body with flavor notes of toasted sugar and rich walnut.

"Walking into the Pike Place store is something that you can’t recreate anywhere else," Starbucks coffee developer Sergio Alvarez, who first started working with the company in 2009, shared in a statement. "In many ways, 1971 Roast captures that feeling, giving customers a version of that moment when they open the bag and see those shiny coffee beans."

"This blend is like nothing we created before," Alvarez added. "You get this super complex and bold coffee, and then it finishes very smoothly and velvety. It's the best of two worlds."

Starbucks is also adding a "bold" new bakery lineup with six new "delicious and globally-inspired" bites beginning on Monday, including a Cookie Croissant Swirl, a Berry Blondie, a Strawberry Matcha Loaf, a Yuzu Citrus Blossom, a Chocolate Pistachio Loaf, and Dubai Chocolate Bites.

  • Berry Blondie: A sweet and tangy blondie made with white chocolate pieces and swirls of raspberry and blueberry jam.
  • Cookie Croissant Swirl: A buttery croissant swirled with real cocoa and topped with chocolate streusel and chocolate cookie pieces.
  • Strawberry Matcha Loaf: Matcha lovers rejoice! Swirls of real matcha and real strawberries are combined into this soft loaf cake, topped with a strawberry icing glaze.
  • Yuzu Citrus Blossom: Light and fluffy croissant dough filled with tangy yuzu citrus cream and a topping of candied yuzu pieces.
  • Dubai Chocolate Bites: Luxurious flavors of Dubai Chocolate, this tart has a chocolate shortbread crust filled with crunchy kataifi pistachio cream and finished with a chocolate drizzle and pistachio crumbles.
  • Chocolate Pistachio Loaf: Chocolate cake and pistachio-flavored cake are swirled together for a perfectly moist marble loaf cake. Topped with pistachio pieces for a memorable crunch, get it warmed for extra crave appeal.

Better yet, five of the new bakery items will be available year-round from Starbucks. The only treat launching as a limited-time special is the new Chocolate Pistachio Loaf, so if there's one to rush and try, it's probably that one.

Starbucks Chocolate Pistachio Loaf joins the bakery menu for a limited time.

And now, for how to get that freebie—first, you must be an active Starbucks Rewards member (if not, signing up online is free and quick). Then sign in and open the Starbucks app to apply the free coffee coupon to your order (it's valid only for a free tall hot or iced coffee with a purchase). If the coupon hasn't appeared in the Offers Tab of the app, the company recommends ordering with a barista in-store and letting them know you’re a new Starbucks Rewards member so they can apply the special.

Starbucks

To make Monday even more special, hot drinks ordered in tall, grande, and venti sizes will be served in a limited-edition paper cup that features Starbucks' iconic green and original logo. Designed to celebrate the company’s heritage in coffee and craft, the single-use green cups will be available for a limited time throughout February, only while supplies last.

'50s TV Darling's Signature Song Gets a Modern Country Update

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 7:58am

More than seven decades after it first aired on American television, one of the most recognizable songs of the early TV era is getting a modern country revival.

Chevrolet has teamed up with rising country artist Brooke Lee to reimagine “See the USA in Your Chevrolet,” the signature tune long associated with legendary entertainer Dinah Shore. The newly recorded version anchors a sweeping new campaign celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

RELATED: Beloved ’60s TV Star ‘Filled With Gratitude’ For Grammy Nom at 80 Years Old

The updated rendition debuts alongside a national television commercial airing this week, featuring Lee performing from the tailgate of a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 that was airlifted to the top of Castleton Tower, also known as Castle Rock, in Utah. The dramatic visual recreates one of Chevrolet’s most famous stunts, originally executed in 1964 and again in 1973, when the brand hoisted a Chevy Impala onto the same 1,400-foot rock formation.

“Chevy is inextricably linked to the cultural fabric of America,” said Chevrolet Chief Marketing Officer Steve Majoros, noting that authenticity was key to the campaign. Rather than relying on visual effects, the brand chose to repeat the real-life feat, complete with a helicopter and a full-size truck.

The song itself dates back to the late 1940s and became a household favorite during Shore’s long-running television partnership with Chevrolet in the 1950s. Though the jingle appeared on other programs, Shore’s warm delivery cemented it as a defining piece of mid-century Americana, synonymous with optimism, road trips, and the golden age of television.

Lee’s version keeps that spirit intact while adding a contemporary country edge. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and now based in Nashville, Lee has steadily built momentum with releases including “Burn to Black,” “Dandelion” featuring Lukas Nelson, and “So Beautiful.” Her take on the classic tune is now available on all major streaming platforms.

“It’s surreal to collaborate with Chevrolet and put my own voice on a song my grandparents know by heart,” Lee said in a statement. “It’s a dream come true to be part of something that celebrates this country and its history.”

The commercial also highlights Chevrolet vehicles traveling through iconic American locations, including Mt. Shasta, Redwood National Park, St. Louis, Nashville, the Florida Keys, and New York City. In addition to the Silverado ZR2, the spot features the Silverado Trail Boss, Equinox, Equinox EV, Traverse, Corvette, and Trax.

The campaign is part of a broader initiative leading up to the nation’s semiquincentennial in 2026. Chevrolet has also announced its Stars & Steel Collection, a special-edition package inspired by the American flag that will be offered across several 2026 models, with proceeds supporting veteran-focused nonprofits.

More than 75 years after it was first written, “See the USA in Your Chevrolet” is once again hitting the road—this time with a new voice, a modern sound, and a familiar sense of American wanderlust.

The Paul Simon Solo Song That Hides a Delicious Secret

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 7:57am

Behind one of Paul Simon’s most celebrated solo hits lies a surprising culinary inspiration.

In 1972, producer Jon Landau interviewed the musician, covering a wide-ranging series of topics. One of these was Simon's solo career, which began with the self-titled album Paul Simon.

The LP would reach number four on Billboard's chart in the United States. It spawned the hits "Mother and Child Reunion," "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," and "Duncan."

Simon reflected on recording the album, sharing the unexpected culinary inspiration behind one of its most beloved tracks. He revealed that he had composed the music for the top five hit “Mother and Child Reunion” before even writing the lyrics.

He revealed, "Know where the words came from on that? You never would have guessed. I was eating in a Chinese restaurant downtown. There was a dish called 'Mother and Child Reunion.' It’s chicken and eggs. And I said, 'Oh, I love that title. I gotta use that one.'"

But, while the song's title had a food connection, its lyrics were more personal. Simon said the tune had its origins in a deep family loss.

"We had a dog that was run over and killed, and we loved this dog. It was the first death I had ever experienced personally. Nobody in my family died that I felt that," Simon explained.

"I felt this loss – one minute there, next minute gone, and then my first thought was, “Oh, man, what if that was Peggy [Harper, Simon's first wife]? What if somebody like that died? Death, what is it?"

He concluded, "And there were lyrics straight out forward like that. 'I can’t for the life of me remember a sadder day. I just can’t believe it's so.' Those are the lyrics. Somehow there was a connection between this death and Peggy, and it was like Heaven. I don’t know what the connection was. Some emotional connection. It didn’t matter to me what it was. I just knew it was there."

The song was released on February 5, 1972. "Mother and Child Reunion" marked Paul Simon’s first major solo hit, proving he could succeed outside of Simon & Garfunkel.

The reggae-infused track showcased his willingness to experiment with new sounds, it set the stage for his acclaimed solo albums to come, and helped establish him as a standalone artist with a distinct musical voice.

'Stranger Things' Star: Show Took Up 'Two and a Half Colleges' of My Life

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 7:27am

Joe Keery is officially turning the page on Stranger Things, and he’s doing it with a mix of reflection and optimism. While promoting his new film Cold Storage, the actor spoke with Entertainment Tonight about closing out the role of Steve Harrington and stepping into a new phase of his career after nearly a decade on the Netflixseries.

Keery praised the show’s ending and Steve’s final chapter, which finds the once-arrogant teen settling into a grounded adult life as a baseball coach and teacher. It’s a tamer future than some fans expected, but one Keery is happy with. He feels it was a fitting sendoff for a character who evolved alongside the audience and gradually became one of the show’s anchors.

Looking back, Keery compared his time on Stranger Things to an extended university experience. 'I mean, it was like college,' he said. 'Imagine like two and a half colleges was the amount of time that it took me to do that project. So, it was a long time, about 10 years.'

That kind of long-term commitment, he acknowledged, is difficult to leave behind. At the same time, he described the end of the series as both overwhelming and exciting, saying its created space for personal and creative change.

Related: 'Stranger Things' Just Took to the Skies, and Your Inner ’80s Kid Is Gonna Love It

Keery said he feels energized by the chance to explore new projects and collaborate with different people. After years of returning to the same world and character, he wants to try new things, take creative risks, and approach work with a sense of curiosity.

Cold Storage represents part of that shift. Keery described the film as entertaining and unconventional, (jokingly) referring to it as the “weirdest date night movie.” The film combines horror, humor, and romance. He also pointed out the strange nostalgia baked into the project, comparing its green, fungal threat to a darker, corrupted version of Flubber.

The actor admitted that learning the film’s central threat is loosely inspired by real-world science added an unsettling layer to the experience. While filming, it heightened the tension on set and stayed at the forefront of his mind. Now that production is over, he’s more than happy to leave that detail behind.

Stranger Things became a global phenomenon, redefining 1980s nostalgia for a new generation and earning critical acclaim for its storytelling, suspense, and ensemble cast. The show’s success catapulted actors like Keery, Millie Bobby Brown, and Finn Wolfhard into international stardom, giving them opportunities they may never have had otherwise. For Keery, the role of Steve Harrington shaped a decade of his career, providing both a fanbase and a platform to explore new creative projects.

Carnival Just Raised Onboard Charges, and the Reaction Has Been…Surprisingly Calm

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 7:10am

If you’ve got a Carnival Cruise Line sailing booked for later next year (or you’re eyeing one), this week came with a small heads-up from the line.

Starting April 2, 2026, Carnival is bumping up its recommended daily gratuities by $1 per person. That means guests in standard staterooms will go from $16 to $17 per day, and suite guests from $18 to $19. On a typical seven-night cruise, you’re looking at an extra $7 per person.

Carnival is also adjusting the price of its Bottomless Bubbles drink package for adults. That package will increase from $9.50 to $11.99 per day, while the kids’ price stays the same at $6.95. If you already have a cruise booked—or you book soon—you can still lock in the current price by pre-purchasing the package before April 1, 2026. (A 20% service charge still applies.)

Related: Carnival's Latest Cruise Plans Add a New Continent to the Map

View this post on Instagram

So why isn’t this causing the usual cruise-internet meltdown?

Cruisers seem to understand that $1-per-day gratuity increase is small compared to the kinds of fare hikes, port fees and airfare costs travelers have gotten used to lately. Many cruisers also point out that this is Carnival’s first gratuity increase since 2023—and that onboard crews work long, demanding contracts that most passengers agree deserve support.

Carnival says gratuities go directly to crew members in addition to base pay, and the line continues to frame the automatic charge as a convenience rather than a mandate. As always, guests can adjust gratuities during the cruise if they feel strongly either way.

Related: Carnival's Brand Ambassador Breaks the Truth About 'The Upgrade Fairy'

That hasn’t stopped the familiar debate about tipping structures and cruise-line profits, of course. But if you zoom out, the reaction has been noticeably calmer than past fee announcements. For many travelers, this feels less like a cash grab and more like one of those incremental travel cost increases that’s hard to avoid in 2026.

As one cruiser put it plainly: “I don't really mind this! I think the crew works really hard, and it is the first time that they have raised the daily tipping amount since 2023. Plus, $1 really isn't that much more!” Another echoed the same sentiment, writing, “$1 really isn't that much more,” while others noted they already factor gratuities into the cost of cruising and don’t see this as a dealbreaker.

Several commenters emphasized that crew support matters more than the price change itself. One wrote, “Crew has said over and over again that the daily gratuities are extra money on their paychecks. Passengers who don’t want to pay are the ones saying otherwise.” Another added, “Yes crew do get the tips as money above their contracted rate… everyone is getting it and they seemed to be happy with it.” Even among those who questioned the system, the tone stayed measured. As one person summed it up: “I personally don’t remove tips and tip really great crew extra in cash.”

Cruising on Carnival may be getting slightly more expensive—but in a way that most people seem prepared to absorb. And in a travel landscape full of big, messy price jumps, that alone feels notable.

In a clip from the episode, which dropped on Monday, Feb. 2, Shelton, 49, accepted the challenge and named his top five favorite songs he's ever put out, starting off with his first-ever single.

#1: "Austin"

"'Austin' is probably my number one," he said, referring to the 2001 breakout single from his self-titled debut album.

"Austin" was the song that first launched Shelton's career, earning him his first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

"I've gone through such a love-hate relationship with that song," the country crooner said.

#2: "The Baby"

In the number two spot, Shelton mentioned a song he doesn't "perform anymore in concert," but that he believes is "one of the most well-written songs" he's ever recorded: "The Baby."

"The Baby," released in 2002, was the first single off Shelton's 2003 album, The Dreamer, and it became his second song to hit No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

View this post on Instagram #3: "Ol' Red"

For number three, Shelton named "Ol' Red," a song from his first album.

"I LOVE that his top 3 are some of the oldest in his career" one approving fan wrote in the comments on Instagram.

Another added, "I was hoping he would say old red."

After being one of the biggest hits from his early career, "Ol' Red" would go on to inspire the name of Shelton's restaurant bar, Ole Red.

#4: "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking?"

"There's a song that I had out years ago called 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking,' that I just think is a beautiful song," Shelton said.

"I just love the idea of that song," he added of the 2010 single, later included on his 2011 EP, All About Tonight.

"Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" would also hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs in March 2011.

"Who are you when im not looking is soooo underrated!! Such an incredible song," one of his fans gushed on Instagram.

#5: "Mine Would Be You"

Last but not least, Shelton named number five as "Mine Would Be You," the third single from his 2013 album, Based on a True Story.

Shelton described "Mine Would Be You" as a song he's "always thought was underrated."

What happened in last week's episode of When Calls the Heart?

In last week's episode of When Calls the Heart, Nathan (McGarry) and Bill (Jack Wagner) discovered new evidence in the woods near Toby (Billy Christos Jr.) and Cooper’s (Elias Leacock) campfire, while Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and her class planted trees in the forest in hopes to reforest the burnt areas.

Meanwhile, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) supported Lee (Kavan Smith) as he struggled with the stress of recent events. He suffered what appeared to be a heart attack but was later determined to be an anxiety attack. Dr. Carter (Andrea Brooks) advised him to take it easy and the entire family—including Gwen (Alex MacIsaac)—ended up spending the day helping with the planting of trees in the forest.

Lucas (Chris McNally) sought Edie’s (Miranda MacDougall) forgiveness for missing the meeting with the Benson Hills evacuees as their flirtation continued and the two finally acknowledged their mutual attraction. Henry came to a heartbreaking realization about Christopher and that his son might be involved with the wildfires.

Nordstrom Rack's Sleek DKNY Ankle Booties are on Sale for 78% Off Right Now

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 6:14am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Take it from us: it's time to replace your worn out black ankle boots you bought ten years ago. Everyone needs a pair of solid boots in their closet, but that doesn't mean you have to pay an astronomically high price. Nordstrom Rack is one of our best-kept shopping secrets, because you can add designer brands to your cart at a discount. The DKNY Celisha Booties are another gem of a find, and they're 78% off right now.

The footwear was initially priced at $139, but has been reduced to just $30 in the black colorway. The sizes range from 5 to 11, including half sizes, with every single size currently in stock. That's basically unheard of — so we advise adding them to your online cart before other shoppers beat you to it. According to the product description, the shoes are true to size.

The style features a 2.5-inch block heel with a simple side zipper closure that allows you to take them on and off with ease. The square-toed shoes are made of a textile and leather upper with a textile lining and a synthetic sole. What really makes them unique is the silver detailing outlining the heel and the DKNY lettering noted on the insole, as well as small silver plating of the brand name on the side of the ankle.

Shoppers described the style as "cute." Along with the sleek finish, we particularly love how versatile the footwear is. Considering the black coloring and minimalist design, you can easily pair them with jeans, dresses, skirts, and so many more outfits. Due to the muted silver accents, they really match with anything.

Delta Just Opened a 3-Day SkyMiles Flash Sale—Europe From 42,000 Miles

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 6:10am

If you’ve been sitting on SkyMiles waiting for a real reason to use them, this is it. Delta Air Lines quietly rolled out a three-day Flash Award Sale that makes spring trips to Europe—and a surprising number of U.S. routes—feel suddenly doable. The clock is ticking: bookings are only open February 3 through February 5, with travel valid through April 30, 2026.

The headline grabber is Europe. We’re talking round-trip award flights starting at just 42,000 miles, which is the kind of pricing that usually disappears before most people even hear about it.

Related: Delta Adds Nonstops to Two of the Hottest Mediterranean Island Destinations

Paris. France.

Here’s what that looks like in real life, pulled straight from live availability:

  • Boston to London: from 42,000 miles + $217 round-trip
  • Boston to Paris: from 44,000 miles + $138
  • Boston to Rome: from 44,000 miles + $71
  • Boston to Amsterdam: from 42,000 miles + $121
  • Boston to Barcelona: from 44,000 miles + $54

Those prices are for Main Cabin award tickets—and yes, they’re round-trip. Delta One and Premium Select are also discounted during the sale window, with Premium Select and Comfort+ deals popping up especially for February travel.

Related: Delta Could Soon Offer Cheaper Business and First Class Seats

What makes this flash sale sneakily great is how wide it spreads beyond Europe. Florida, in particular, is pricing out wildly low right now:

  • Boston to Miami or Fort Lauderdale: from 14,600 miles + $12
  • Boston to West Palm Beach: from 13,100 miles + $12
  • Boston to Tampa: from 19,600 miles + $12

That’s the kind of pricing that makes a last-minute winter escape feel very rational.

A few things to know before you click “book”: this is award travel only, availability can vanish fast, and the best deals tend to show up midweek and on less obvious travel dates. But if your schedule has even a little flexibility, the payoff is real.

So, if Europe has been on your “maybe this year?” list—or you just want out of cold weather—this is one of the strongest SkyMiles flash sales we’ve seen in a while. And it’s gone at midnight.

Earlier in the week, Couric said she couldn't "stop thinking" about Savannah and her family as search efforts continued for Nancy. The 84-year-old mother and grandmother was last seen by family members on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31, and was reported missing the following day.

The local sheriff's department later confirmed that Nancy appeared to have left her home outside of Tucson, Ariz., "against her will," and that the situation was being handled as a possible abduction or kidnapping.

"I cannot stop thinking and worrying about Nancy Guthrie, Savannah, her siblings and her children," Couric wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Feb. 3. "There is just so much sadness and anxiety in the world—so much cruelty, it is almost impossible to fathom."

Couric, who hosted the Today show for 15 years between 1991 and 2006, said at the time that she was "Sending [the Guthrie family] and all of you out there love and support and praying for the safety and well being of this lovely mom and grandmother and honestly, right now for an entire country that seems lost."

Robert Irwin’s TV Future Is Looking Very Secure

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 5:28am

Robert Irwin’s recent run on television isn’t slowing down anytime soon. According to a new report from Aussie entertainment site New Idea, Network Ten is quietly moving ahead with plans for a 13th season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and insiders say negotiations are already underway to bring back fan-favorite hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris.

While nothing has been officially announced yet, sources tell the outlet that the decision has been fast-tracked following another strong ratings season for the long-running survival series. Despite competing against heavy hitters like Married at First Sight Australia and Australian Idol, the show has continued to deliver solid numbers for Network Ten.

RELATED: Robert Irwin Meets His Lookalike Contest Winner—And Even He’s Freaked Out

“They’re thrilled with how this season has performed,” a network insider told New Idea, adding that executives had been waiting to see how the show stacked up against Australia’s biggest programs before committing to the future.

The timing may not be a coincidence. Insiders say Network Ten’s recent decision to quietly axe The Amazing Race Australia freed up a significant portion of the entertainment budget—money that could now be redirected toward I’m a Celebrity. According to sources, The Amazing Race was one of the most expensive reality formats to produce, with high host salaries and substantial appearance fees for contestants.

“With Amazing Race gone, that money could be redirected straight into I’m a Celebrity,” a source explained. “And it hasn’t gone to waste.”

RELATED: Robert Irwin Lookalike Contest Crowns a Winner—and It’s Uncanny

As a result, Network Ten is reportedly prepared to invest heavily in season 13 and lock in Morris and Irwin through 2027, with discussions said to include updated compensation reflecting the show’s continued success.

Irwin’s role has reportedly been a key factor in the show’s momentum. While there were whispers he might be priced out following international opportunities—including buzz surrounding his Dancing With the Stars win in the U.S.—Network Ten is said to be determined to keep him front and center.

“Julia and Robert absolutely love working together,” a source revealed. “They can’t wait to bring more chaos, laughs and jungle madness next year.”

RELATED: Robert Irwin Is Back in the Spotlight—and This Time It’s Not for ‘DWTS’

The report also notes that Irwin’s mother, Terri Irwin, supports his continued involvement, viewing the hosting role as complementary to his ongoing work at Australia Zoo.

Looking beyond I’m a Celebrity, insiders say the Irwin family is keen to see Network Ten commit to Robert’s previously discussed solo television project—a docu-style series more focused on wildlife, conservation, and adventure. That concept has reportedly been in development talks with Paramount since 2023–24, with sources suggesting its completion could be tied to Irwin’s next contract.

Viewers may not have to wait long for clarity. New Idea reports that Network Ten is planning to officially announce season 13—and confirm the hosts—during the show’s grand finale later this month.

‘80s Rock Frontman Reveals Surprising Career Highlight That Made Him Feel Like ‘Royalty’

Thu, 02/05/2026 - 5:13am

Sebastian Bach’s career path has taken him from ‘80s rock stardom with Skid Row to acting roles on stage and screen to a long and successful solo run.

In a new interview, the legendary metal frontman revealed the unexpected career moment that blew his mind. “The one I enjoyed the most was definitely Jekyll & Hyde on Broadway,” Bach, 57, told RadioRox in a February 2026 interview. “I really had a lot of fun doing that show."

"I got to beat up people on stage and throw fire bombs. And wear the coolest Victorian fitted clothes," Bach continued. "It was probably the highlight of my career, I would say. When you are a headlining Broadway leading man, which I was, you get treated in New York City like royalty. People in Times Square, in the Broadway Theater District, when you walk into a restaurant or something, it’s like, ‘Right this way, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde.’”

Bach played Dr. Henry Jekyll in the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde for four months, starting on June 13, 2000, after Jack Wagner ended his run in the show, per Playbill.

Rock and roll past

During the new interview, the Skid Row rocker admitted he was stunned when he appeared on a New York City news program and was given an introduction that glossed over his rock star past.

“I’m sitting there on TV at 6 p.m., and they go, ‘All right, next up, we know him in New York City as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. But I bet you didn’t know Sebastian Bach has a rock and roll past,’” Bach revealed to RadioRox. “And I go, ‘What? That’s the intro for my interview now? You didn’t know I had a rock and roll past?’ That was mind-blowing to me. When they cut to my face, I was in shock because I had done something in New York City that was bigger than Skid Row. And that just felt really good to me. I thought, ‘Wow, I did something else in my life.’”

More than 25 years later, Bach continues to tour with his solo band, but he added that he would “love to do more theater,” depending on the role.

“I would love to be in a Marvel movie at some point in my life,” he added. "I’m a very big fan of Marvel. And I’ve done lots of acting. So that would be great. Those two things. Maybe a DC movie too. I’m not exclusive.”

Many career highs

Bach previously noted that he’s had highlights in multiple facets of his career.

“I have had such different things happening in my career over the years, that I like to think it's been a series of defining moments rather than just one,” he once told Maximum Metal. "In Skid Row, the defining moment was probably when we debuted at number one with ‘Slave to the Grind,’ that seemed to be the highlight of the band. And then in my solo career, when I did Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway, that was a defining moment because I never thought I could pull something like that off. I like to think about all of the work I have done as one big body of work.”

In 2024, Bach also looked back on his TV role in Gilmore Girls as a career highlight. The rocker played Hep Alien bandmate Gil for four seasons in the beloved comedy-drama series.

“I consider myself so lucky to have the experiences that I have had in this life. Appearing on the TV show the @gilmoregirls was one of the highlights of my career,” Bach wrote on Facebook. "The friendships that were made on this show are lifelong. Every time we see each other, even if it's been years, we always greet each other with kindness, respect, and above all. laughter.”

In 2026, Bach’s The Party Never Ends Tour with special guests Stitched Up Heart runs from February 20 through April 10. The rock legend has more live shows scheduled through the fall of 2016.
