Cameron Mathison Shares Health Update in New Hospital Photo 6 Years After Cancer Battle
Cameron Mathison is keeping up to date with his routine cancer screenings.
The soap opera star shared a health update with his fans on Instagram this week as he visited the hospital to undergo testing 6 years after battling kidney cancer.
Sharing a series of photos and video footage from USC's Keck Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif., on Wednesday, Feb. 4, Mathison, 56, documented "six-year cancer checkup day," as he underwent blood work, a CT scan and X-rays.

The General Hospital star was previously diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer, back in 2019. After getting an MRI for lingering gastrointestinal issues, his doctors discovered a tumor on his right kidney.
"In my heart, Iâd known something was wrong, but actually hearing the diagnosis was bizarre. It felt like a dream that seemed so real, but one I wanted to wake up from," Mathison is quoted on the Patient Resource website.
"[The doctor] said it didnât appear to have spread anywhere else and wasnât in my lymph nodes, which was good," Cameron said. He was then sent to a specialist to have the tumor removed the following Monday.
During surgery, his doctor successfully removed 20 percent of his right kidney, along with the tumor.
He was released from the hospital just four days later and was back on set of his Hallmark channel talk show, Home and Family, 15 days later.
Now cancer-free for several years, Mathison continues to prioritize a healthy lifestyle and routine check-ups like the testing he had done on Wednesday.
"Good luck friend â¤ď¸" Good Morning America host Lara Spencer commented under Mathison's Instagram post, while more users sent the actor "positive energy" and hopes for a "clean bill of health."
'The Young and the Restless' Star Christel Khalil Welcomes Third Child
The Young and the Restless fan favorite Christel Khalil (Lily) is officially a mom of three.
Khalil kept her pregnancy under wraps never announcing she was once again expecting. However, a behind-the-scenes Y&R cast video for Halloween confirmed what many fans thought: the actress was pregnant.
As Parade reported, Khalilâs baby bump was on full display in the video. Now weeks after Lily left Genoa City so Khalil could go on maternity leave, the actress has subtly revealed sheâs had her baby.
In an Instagram Story, Khalil shared a photo of her lifting weights as her latest bundle of joy nestled against her chest in a green Baby Bjorn-like carrier. The baby was faced in the opposite direction from the camera.
The actress didnât spill any details on the latest addition to her family. In fact, Khalil didnât even acknowledge the baby in her caption, simply writing âGetting Ready For Lilyâs Return!â
Itâs not a surprise the super private Khalil is keeping details about her baby under wraps. She did the same thing when she was pregnant and welcomed her second sonRemy, with her husband, Sam Restagno. Khalil is also mom to son Michael, with her ex-husband, Stephen Hensley.
Even though the actress is getting Lily ready, The Young and the Restless fans shouldnât expect to see Khalil or Lily back in the mix for several more weeks, likely early spring.

There has been no confirmation that the soap star is back filming The Young and the Restless. Once she returns to the CBS set, it will be at least four to six weeks before Lily is on-screen.
On The Young and the Restless, Lily is currently visitng her and Caneâs (Billy Flynn) children to allow for Khalil to be on maternity leave.

Friend of Savannah Guthrie's Mom Calls Disappearance 'a Freaky Thing'
Savannah Guthrie's mom has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1 and authorities are working tirelessly to locate her and bring her home safely. Officials believe that Nancy Guthrie, 84, was kidnapped from her Arizona home in the middle of the night, sometime after going out to dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie.
As the search continues, one of Nancy's longtime friends, Mary Ann Blevins, spoke with Us Weekly about how she's feeling about everything that's going on.
"I think everybody is not only holding out hope but doing a lot of praying, and thatâs pretty much about the only thing I know," Blevins told the outlet. "I donât know anything else. Anything else we know is pretty much from the news.

Blevins also said that Nancy doesn't have "any enemies at all" and called the case "a freaky thing." She also told the outlet that she's been reaching out to some of Nancy's other friends to tell them what's going on.
"So, I have prayers all over being said for her. Weâre always praying, and weâre just asking God to be with her and get her home. And weâre hoping for better news today," Blevins said.
As of Wednesday, Feb. 4, authorities haven't shared any major leads or breaks in the case, despite the things that are circulating on social media. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that the FBI shared a ransom note it received with Savannah.
âItâs like any piece of evidence,â Nanos told CBS News. "You give it to us, you give us a lead, weâre going to look at every aspect of that lead."
Later in the day, TMZ reported that authorities are investigating a possible link between Nancy's disappearance and an alleged trespasser who was reported to police by another resident in the area last month.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department maintains that they do not have a suspect or person of interest in the case at present time.

â70s Rock Icon Forced to Postpone Shows Amid Health Concerns
1970s soft-rock icon Barry Manilow has postponed a series of February concerts due to health concerns. The announcement was shared via Instagram Wednesday afternoon and fans are both worried and supportive.
The postponed shows are part of Manilow's Westgate Las Vegas residency, specifically all the dates scheduled for February. The news follows Manilow's lung surgery in December, where he had a stage-one cancerous tumor removed from his left lung. The star took to social media to explain that he needs more time before returning to the stage.
"I'm doing great and recovering very well after my surgery. I've been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic," said Manilow. "With my doctors guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21 so I can stay and focus on healing and getting ready for the tour that's kicking off at the end of February. Having a few extra weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!"

NBC Makes Coverage Announcement as Search Continues for Savannah Guthrieâs Mom
NBC has confirmed that Savannah Guthrie will not be heading to Italy to cover the Olympics following the disappearance of her mother. As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, NBC has since announced that Craig Melvin also won't be traveling overseas to cover the Winter Games.
Per People magazine, Melvin was set to host Olympic Late Night live from Milan in the coming week. Instead, Ahmed Fareed will host the program. As for Savannah, her scheduled on-air shifts will be covered by Mary Carillo, who will now be joining Terry Gannon in Milan.
âOur hearts go out to Savannah and the entire Guthrie family. They continue to have our full support," Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production, said in a statement on Feb. 4.
âWe are fortunate to have a deep bench of talented commentators who will step in and fill these roles. Mary is one of the most experienced Olympic commentators ever and a master storyteller. She and Terry will lead the American audience through one of the worldâs greatest global moments," Solomon continued.
On Feb. 2, Melvin took to Instagram to share a photo of Savannah and her mom and to ask anyone with information about Nancy's disappearance to come forward.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Savannah and her family. We encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriffâs Department," he wrote.

Nearly Two Years After 'Young Sheldon' Ended, a Major Reunion Is Finally Happening
Two years after Young Sheldon ended, a significant reunion will happen on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage this spring.
Lance Barber (George), Raegan Revord (Missy), Zoe Perry (Mary), Doc Farrow (Wayne), and Rex Linn(Principal Petersen) are all set to appear in an episode of the Young Sheldon spin-off.
According to TVLine, the reunion will happen during Season 2, Episode 18 of Georgie & Mandyâs First Marriage. While Perry and Revord have appeared multiple times on the CBS sitcom, this marks only the second time that Barber has guest-starred.
Fans will recall that George died at the end of Young Sheldon, but he appeared in a dream to his sick son, Georgie (Montanna Jordan), during Season 1 of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
This will be the first time that Linn and Farrow have reprised their Young Sheldon roles. Details of the upside are being kept under wraps, but it will likely kick off May sweeps. The sitcom was given a 22-episode order and will end Season 2 in May.
News of the major Young Sheldon reunion comes hot on the heels of photos of Perry on the Georgie & Mandyâs First Marriage set with Annie Potts (MeeMaw) and Craig T. Nelson (Dale).
Based on the fact that Potts and Nelson are not listed in the Episode 18 guest star list, it appears Perryâs Mary will be in the mix more than once for the back half of Georgie & Mandyâs First Marriage.

The reunion news also means that Iain Armitage (Sheldon) is the only main Young Sheldon cast member who has yet to appear on the spin-off. Revord recently revealed the reason why Sheldon likely wonât pop up on the show.
âThat would be so much fun, but I feel like if, because theyâre sticking to the Big Bang Theory lore and everything, because the whole thing in The Big Bang Theory is Georgie and Sheldon donât talk, because they kind of have a rift between them after [their father] George dies. And so if theyâre sticking to that, I feel like it wouldnât make sense for Sheldon to come back," the actress told People magazine.
Even though Armitage isnât reuniting with his Young Sheldon family on-screen, he did have his own reunion with Potts recently.
Season 3 of Georgie & Mandyâs First Marriage was just ordered by CBS, with Jordan, Emily Osment (Mandy), Rachel Bay Jones (Audrey), Will Sasso (Jim), and Dougie Baldwin (Connor) set to return.

Popular Chain Eatery Closing all Locations After 30 Years
Fans of the restaurant Bahama Breeze will be sad to hear that its parent company, Darden Restaurants, has decided to close all 28 of its locations across the country. According to a press release, 14 of the eateries will be closing their doors completely, while the other half will be converting into a different Darden brand.
Darden owns several chain restaurants, including Olive Garden, Yard House, Ruthâs Chris Steak House and more. It's unclear which locations will be converted and which will be closing.
The 14 Bahama Breeze locations that are closing permanantly will cease operations on April 5, 2026. The ones that are being converted will remain open The company anticipates converting the remaining 14 locations over the next 12-18 months. "until any temporary closures are needed for the conversion," per the release.
"The company believes the conversion locations are great sites that will benefit several of the brands in its portfolio," Darden said in a press release. "Going forward, the primary focus will continue to be on supporting team members, including placing as many as possible in roles within the Darden portfolio."
According to The Street, Darden isn't in financial distress and will not be filing for bankruptcy, despite the closures.
It was previously reported that Darden wanted to sell the Bahama Breeze chain.
"We have made the difficult decision that these remaining locations and the Bahama Breeze brand are not a strategic priority for us," Darden President and CEO Rick Cardenas said in 2025.
As of their most recent update, however, Darden said it explored a variety of strategic alternatives and it appears their solution of doing away with the brand makes the most sense.

Jeff Bezosâ Washington Post Cuts Hundreds in Major 'Bloodbath' Layoffs
Employees at the Washington Post were left in shock after being called into a meeting after weeks of uncertainty.
Editor in Chief Matt Murray delivered news of the âstrategic reset,â which affected approximately one-third of the company, on Wednesday, February 3, according to a report published by The Guardian on the same day.Â
The report noted that Murray informed his employees that the paper is going to end its sports desk, make cuts to and restructure its local and international coverage teams and books desk, as well as suspend its daily Post Reports podcast.
âWe all recognize the actions we are taking today will be painful,â Murray said before he added, âmost of all, of course, for those of you who are directly affected, but for everybody, I know that the reset is going to feel like a shock to the system and raise some questions for everybody.â He also took a moment to acknowledge that the âlast couple of weeks have been an unusually tense and distracting time,â as employees were anticipating the company-wide cuts.

One employee who was on the call described the experience as âan absolute bloodbath,â to the outlet. The Postâs former executive editor, Martin Baron, stated that the companyâs most recent layoffs rank âamong the darkest days in the history of one of the worldâs greatest news organizations.â
The report mentioned that The Postâwhich is owned by billionaire Jeff Bezosâis committed to keeping employees who lost their jobs on staff until April 10, though they will not be expected to work, and their health insurance coverage will continue to be in effect for six months.
Bezos, 62, bought The Washington Post in 2013 for $250 million via Nash Holdings, his holding company. Since the acquisition, the billionaire funded and grew the paperâs digital presence and increased its profitability.
Bezos has not addressed the layoffs at this time, or responded to Paradeâs request for comment.
Former âHappy Daysâ Star Makes Bold Political Statement
Anson Williams is best known for playing the lovable goofball âPotsieâ Weber on the hit sitcomHappy Days from 1974 through 1984, but these days the actor has other things on his mind.
Williams, 79, recently took to his official Instagram account to share his troubled thoughts about how Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have been interacting with peaceful protesters.
To drive his point home, Williams posted a photo ofRev. David Black, screenshot from the CNN website, which shows the pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Chicago being attacked by heavily armed ICE officers wearing masks and military fatigues during a protest on Sept. 19 in Broadview, Ill. Black was also struck in the head by pepper balls fired by ICE officers, per video posted on YouTube by the Chicago Tribune.
Along with the photo, Williams added a long caption about how he feels about the situation.
âI canât stop thinking about the image of a peaceful priestâa man of faith, standing calmly, unarmed, exercising his constitutional rights, being pepper-sprayed in the face by ICE officers,â he wrote. âNot running. Not attacking. Not breaking the law. Just standing there.
âThat image should terrify every American. Because this has nothing to do with immigration anymore. This is about power. This is about who gets rightsâand who suddenly doesnât.
If a priest can be assaulted for peacefully existing, then your rights are not secure.
If free speech can be met with chemical weapons, then the Constitution is just paper.
If obedience is demanded instead of justice, then we are no longer a free society.

âThis is not who weâre supposed to be. And silence right now is not neutralityâitâs permission. If you still believe in dignity, in freedom, in the basic humanity of others⌠now is the time to speak up.â

Sitting down with Jay Shetty on his On Purpose podcast, Jonas recalled the "very intense" arrival of Malti. Jonas and Chopra welcomed their only daughter via surrogate.
Holding back tears, Jonas shared, "She came to the world under, sort of, very intense circumstances. We were expecting her to arrive in April of the year she was born, and we get a call that itâs going to be sooner.â
The couple's daughter was born in January 2022, with Jonas sharing, "So we basically went into action. She was born via surrogate. So we got to the hospital, and she came out, she was 1 pound, 11 ounces. And purple, basically.â
Born prematurely, Malti spent three and a half months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
âThese angels in the NICU kind of resuscitated her in that moment and got her taken care of really quickly," he said, adding that he and Chopra "would basically do 12-hour shifts at the hospital."
âI could still sort of smell it, you know? There are always visceral things,â he told Shetty about spending his time in the hospital. âIt was both comforting and frightening to be there every day and to see other families going through similar situations.â
The "Cool" singer went on to call his daughter a fighter. "After six blood transfusions, she was doing great and we got to take her home after three and a half months.â
He added, "I donât know how much she remembers, probably nothing, but spiritually, I believe thereâs gratitude in her and sheâs incredible.â
The couple's daughter was named after two very special people in their lives. Speaking on Today in 2023, Chopra told Hoda Kotb that "Malti" is her mother's middle name, while "Marie" is the middle name of Jonas' mother.

American Girl Adds This Disney Princess to Its Lineup â With More Dolls on the Way
Everyone has their favorite Disney princess from the classic movies we grew up with. Jasmine certainly tops the list for many.
And now, Mattelâs American Girl brand is adding the iconic animated character to its lineup â with more reportedly on the way.
Mattel announced on Tuesday, Feb. 3 that its cherished doll line and Disney Consumer Products have renewed a multi-year licensing agreement for the Disney Princess and Disney Frozen franchises to produce more American Girl dolls and accessories, Forbes reports.
As part of the new agreement, an 18-inch American Girl doll of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin (1992) is joining the brandâs Disney Princess collection. See the Instagram reveal below.

According to Forbes, the licensing agreement not only includes the Frozen franchise but also the upcoming Frozen IIIanimated film, which is set to hit theaters in November 2027.
The Princess Jasmine doll is available now on the American Girl website, as well as American Girl retail locations.
The Jasmine doll was reportedly designed in collaboration with Disney and features a look inspired by the animated version of Aladdin, Forbes reports, with an accessory set that's âinspired by a pivotal moment in the film, featuring a regal purple dress, themed accessories and a plush Baby Rajah.â

North American fans of European bands Malevolence and Guilt Trip received some exciting news on Wednesday.
Malevolence took to Instagram to say that they will be co-headlining a North American tour alongside Guilt Trip this upcoming spring, with special guests Chamber as their opening act. Billed as the Representing United Kingdom Metal and Hardcore Across North America 2026 Tour, it is scheduled to hit multiple cities, including Montreal, Toronto, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Houston, Dallas and more. The shows are set to start at The Shelter in Detroit on March 31 and then conclude in Milwaukee's Xray Arcade on April 23.
"Where to begin! Our first ever proper US headline tour after all these years and it is only right to be sharing the stage every night with some of our closest friends in the game Guilt Trip from Manchester. With both bands proudly flying the flag not only for UK metal & hardcore but also more specifically the NORTH OF ENGLAND," Malevolence wrote in a statement. "Our relationship with GT is very well documented â from numerous tours together, collaborating on music & even helping to release their last record, it feels extremely fitting to be venturing onto foreign shores side by side for a big, bad co-headline debut â In our opinion a true demonstration to the American people of what real northern UK heavy music has to offer. In addition, the English metal band was originally supposed to open for Hatebreed during the 2025 Summer Slaughter Tour last year, but had to drop out at the last minute due to "unforeseen personal circumstances."
Guitarists Josh Baines and Konan Hall, who met while attending primary school and both had a love for heavy metal, formed Malevolence in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with Alex Taylor in 2010. After releasing demos independently, they signed with Siege of Amida Records and released their debut album, Reign of Suffering, in November 2013. After touring heavily and opening for multiple bands for four years, they released their follow-up album, Self Supremacy, via Beatdown Hardwear Records in May 2017. Since then, they have released two more studio albums and two EPs, as well as established their own record label called MLVLTD Music. Wilkie Robinson and Charlie Thorpe are also members of Malevolence.
Malevolence toured with Guilt Trip back in November 2023, as part of a United Kingdom tour that also featured Sylosis and Justice For The Damned.
"We're so excited to return to the States with our good friends in Malevolence. It feels great to come back so soon and share a headlining slot with our UK brothers," Guilt Trip vocalist Jay Valentine said in a statement. "After just one run, North America already feels like a second home to us and we can't wait to see you all again!"

DeLoach took to Instagram to post a video of her speaking her mind about the topic and issuing some helpful advice to victims of abuse.
The footage was incredibly heartfelt, as Deloach chose her words carefully while also being brutally honest.
âHi, everyone. I don't know about you, but if you are a survivor of sexual abuse, and you have been reading and seeing the latest dump of the Epstein files and reading about the most sickening, horrendous, vile behavior from some of the most powerful, rich men, not just in our country, but in our world, and you are feeling every feeling in the book, from grief to rage to absolute guttural disappointment and grief, I want you to know that you are a sane person in a deeply sick and insane world,â she expressed.
DeLoach went on to add that two traumas are happening to the victims. One is the horrific attack itself; the other is the fact that justice isnât being served because âof people not thinking that your life, your worth, your humanity, is worthy of justice.â
The Curious Caterer Mysteries star ended her message with some words of wisdom she hopes will help some during this time.
âI'm here to tell you that they are the sick ones. This weekend was hard. It was really, really hard. And I just want you to know that you are not alone. Keep breathing. Stay in your body.
