'Bachelorette' Taylor Frankie Paul Domestic Violence Allegations Explained
The Taylor Frankie Paul season of The Bachelorette is even more dramatic than expected—and not in any way that she or ABC would likely want: The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, who will dole out roses to men competing for her heart in Season 22, is reportedly the subject of an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
Paul gave her first televised interview about the domestic violence allegations on Good Morning America on March 18, 2026.
"In this moment, it’s just so heavy," she lamented. "When your life is broadcasted out there in these headlines, it’s like the end of the world, that’s what it feels like—I’m not going to lie. I will say, I’ve been here before and I got through it and I’ve shared my story and my light, and I’m hoping I can do that again."
She added, "Honestly, it’s been a heavy time to see the headlines, especially during this time of The Bachelorette being released, and it’s supposed to be a really exciting time. I’m a person that will always speak my truth and that’s what I’m known for and so when the time is right, I will be. But right now just trying to be in the present moment and focus on this."
To which we say, well, good luck! Here's everything to know about the harrowing domestic violence accusations against Taylor Frankie Paul so far—and what it means for both The Bachelorette and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives going forward.
What are the Taylor Frankie Paul allegations?Things are still somewhat murky right now as police continue their investigation.
The Draper City Police Department told PEOPLE that "allegations have been made in both directions" and "contact was made with involved parties on [Feb.] 24th and 25th." A source close to Paul, meanwhile, insisted to PEOPLE that Paul wasn't actually violent in the incident.
TMZ reported that Paul said Mortensen was the aggressor and that they fought in a car after she spilled something on him.
A source close to Mortensen, meanwhile, told the outlet that Paul ripped off a necklace Mortensen was wearing and choked him in front of their 2-year-old son Ever. Mortensen reportedly called police that night, but wasn't forthright with responding officers about what he now says actually happened. The Mortensen sources said that Paul apologized and returned to his home the following evening, when she allegedly threw his phone into a wall and scratched his face and neck in another altercation. When one of Mortensen's friends saw the scratches, the pal called police, who reportedly saw proof of Mortensen's injuries.
TMZ reported that both Mortensen and Paul were ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluations, but that Mortensen denied that he was required to do so.

Mortensen is Paul's ex.
Paul and Mortensen began dating in June 2022 and went public that September. Paul denied that Mortensen was involved in the famous "soft-swinging" scandal that made her a #MomTok celebrity.
They welcomed son Ever in March 2024.
Mortensen and Paul's relationship was on-again-off-again, and they split for what seemed like for good in December 2024, but Mortensen said in a SLOMW confessional that he and Paul slept together just before she left for Los Angeles to film The Bachelorette.
TMZ reported that Mortensen and Paul were engaged in a fierce custody fight over Ever beginning in late 2025. According to TMZ, Mortensen called child protective services to report Paul for child abuse several times before her arrest (see below).

Was Taylor Frankie Paul arrested for domestic violence?Paul was previously arrested for domestic violence in February 2023.
At the time, she was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse and criminal mischief.
The Salt Lake Tribune later reported that Paul choked Mortensen and threw "heavy metal chairs" at him in a fight. The chairs missed and one reportedly accidentally hit her 5-year-old daughter that she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul. Mortensen has video footage of several instances of Paul's alleged abuse that he's been showing to friends, according to TMZ.
Six months after her arrest, Paul agreed to plead guilty to felony aggravated assault in exchange for dropping the rest of the charges against her and spent just a single night behind bars. Per the agreement, if she followed the terms of the plea deal for three years, her charge would be knocked down to a misdemeanor on her rap sheet. She's reportedly still within that three-year threshold until August 2026.

Why did SLOMW stop filming? The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives castDisney/Hulu
A source told PEOPLE that Secret Lives of Mormon Wives filming is halted for the time being.
"They are not filming. Taylor has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens," the insider said. Until that resolves, they are off."
A second source said that the rest of the cast distanced themselves from Paul following the latest domestic violence allegations.
"None of the women want to be associated with her," the source noted.
Sources close to Paul, however, told TMZ that production paused because Mortensen "went MIA" after their fight in his car and that producers wanted him to be present to shoot.

1987 Hit Ranked Among Best ‘Classic Rock Songs’ Became a Timeless Anthem
"Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games. We got everything you want, honey, we know the names."
In November, Collider released their list of the "25 Best Classic Rock Songs" of all time. Music journalist Jeremy Urquhart described a classic rock song as a tune that is "approachable, high energy and/or passionate, contains guitars (usually electric) in some way and came out during the 1960s, 1970s, or 1980s (and got some degree of radio play)."
The listicle included many iconic hits, such as Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir," David Bowie's "Heroes" and more, but this Guns N' Roses song also made the cut.

"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses was the first song listed in the publication's ranking. The opening track of the band's debut album, Appetite for Destruction, it was released as the second single in the United Kingdom in September 1987, then again a year later in the United States. The song peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart.
Produced by Mike Clink and written by the band members Slash, Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan, Rose wrote the lyrics while visiting Seattle, but it was based on an experience he and a friend had with a homeless man while they were in New York City. Meanwhile, Stradlin described the song as "about Hollywood streets; true to life" toHit Parader in March 1988.
When the song was released almost 40 years ago, it received positive reviews from critics and fans. Rolling Stone even named "Welcome to the Jungle" as one of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" and "the greatest sports anthem" in 2009. The tune has also been featured in many Hollywood films and TV shows, including Selena, How to Be Single, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and most recently, Thor: Love and Thunder. It also serves as the unofficial song for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals, whose stadium is called The Jungle.

Formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, Guns N' Roses became one of the most popular rock bands during the 1980s and 1990s. Though they already gained a local following before releasing Appetite for Destruction in 1987, the "Welcome to the Jungle" music video broke them out to mainstream success. Since their formation 40 years ago, the band has released seven studio albums, with their most recent being Chinese Democracy in 2008, and have been on multiple world tours.
Currently, Guns N' Roses are prepping for a major world tour, spanning South America, Europe, North America and Australia. Opening night takes place on March 28 at the Parque Fundidora in Monterrey, Mexico, and concludes at Auckland, New Zealand's Eden Park on Dec 17. Tickets are on sale on their official website.

Costco Shows Other CEOs How It's Done in Hilarious Hot Dog Video: 'Shots Fired!'
Social media is full of corporate stunts, but one video from Costco has fans laughing harder than a forklift chase in a warehouse. While other fast-food leaders have taken tiny, awkward bites of their own products, Costco's president and CEO, Ron Vachris, went all in—literally—turning a $1.50 hot dog combo into a viral spectacle that has people hitting replay.
The video starts simply: Vachris walks up to the food court, grabs the classic hot dog and soda combo and takes a massive bite. "That's $1.50 well spent," he says between bites, reassuring viewers the price won't change while he's in charge. His joy is contagious: "Amazing. Amazing quality, amazing value," he adds, finishing the entire hot dog.
The CEO Bite Trend Goes Viral View this post on InstagramCostco's video taps into a growing viral phenomenon that kicked off in early March 2026, after McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski posted a video of himself trying the new Big Arch burger. Critics pounced on his tiny, hesitant bite, calling it awkward, disconnected and even alien.
The social video quickly went viral, prompting rival executives to join in with videos of their own, but with much larger, enthusiastic bites. Burger King, Wendy's and even Jack in the Box joined the trend, poking fun while showing off their products in a more confident, comedic style.
CEOs eating their own food has become a surprisingly effective marketing tactic. The Costco video, though, takes it to the next level. Vachris proves that sometimes the simplest approach gets the most attention.

Costco's CEO Nails ItVachris himself has a story that matches the video's charm. A 40-year Costco veteran, he started as a forklift driver and worked his way through merchandising and operations before becoming CEO in 2024. His rise gives the video extra weight—he knows the business inside out and has the confidence to enjoy a hot dog like no one else.
In just a few seconds, the video captures humor, relatability, and good old-fashioned deliciousness. It's proof that a classic $1.50 hot dog can become a viral sensation when the right person bites it the right way.
Other CEOs may have started the bite trend, but Costco just raised the bar, showing exactly how it's done with a perfect mix of confidence, charm, and a little bit of "shots fired" humor. Social media watchers and snack lovers alike are already calling it the best CEO food moment of 2026.
This ‘Bachelorette’ Alum Just Became a New Dad
Everyone might be talking about Taylor Frankie Paul, and the 22nd season of ABC’s The Bachelorette—but one of the show’s alums just made a major announcement.
Peter Kraus and wife Hana Ostapchuk are brand-new parents! While the Season 13 runner-up didn’t win Rachel Lindsay’s heart (or hand), it looks like he’s done pretty well for himself.
View this post on InstagramThe fitness entrepreneur and business owner wed the “Hey Hana” podcast host in Jupiter, Florida, last December. The couple initially announced their pregnancy news shortly after getting engaged. Ostapchuk posted an adorable Instagram belly bump pic and beachy vacation video with her then-fiancé, writing, “A new chapter, the best chapter. One week after our engagement, we got the surprise of our lives.”
View this post on InstagramIn early November, the pair posted a sweet gender reveal clip on Instagram. Kraus excitedly explained, “For the last two months I would say I believed that it was a girl. I had my heart set on it being a girl. But in the last two weeks, I have come full circle to say I’m pretty sure it’s a boy.”
Kraus added that during the ultrasound, he felt, “It’s a boy, I’m certain.” The expectant mom weighed in, “I have thought since baby has been in my belly, like since day one, I’ve been like oh this is a girl, I don’t know why. I really think it’s a girl.”
So what happened next? Using wine glasses, both parents-to-be scooped out a mini cake to reveal… a pink center. And judging by the hugs and kisses, they were absolutely elated.
View this post on InstagramFast-forward a few short months, and the couple’s baby girl is here. The former Bachelorette reality TV star and his wife announced the momentous occasion on Instagram, posting a carousel of cute pics with the caption, “Our sweet Andie girl is here. Born on Saturday afternoon, just hours before the biggest blizzard of the season - just as it was almost 40 years ago on Peter’s birthday.” The new parents went on to write, “We each prayed for this baby girl long before we ever met. We talked about the idea of her since our first date. To now have here here - healthy, happy, and bundled - is the greatest gift.”
In a heartfelt shout-out to the healthcare pros who helped make Andie’s big birth day possible and their family, Kraus and Ostapchuk gushed, “Thank you to the incredible nurses and staff at Meriter Hospital for such a beautiful birthing experience. And thank you to our parents, who were there for her arrival and continue to support us every single day. It truly takes a village - and we are so grateful for ours.”
Congrats go out to Kraus, Ostapchuk, and their entire village!

Beloved '80s Singer Dead at 72
Beloved '80s singer and songwriter Bernie Lynch has died at the age of 72 following a battle with cancer.
Lynch was best known as the co-founder of Eurogliders, the pop and new wave group he formed in Perth, Australia in 1980 with singer Grace Knight. The band became a defining force in the country's '80s music scene, scoring hits including "Heaven (Must Be There)," "We Will Together" and "Can’t Wait to See You."
"Heaven (Must Be There)" marked the group's international breakthrough in 1984. Featured on the album This Island, the track reached No. 2 on the Australian charts and also made an impact on the Billboard charts, helping introduce Eurogliders to a global audience. More than 40 years later, the song continues to resonate and remains a staple of Australian pop culture.
News of Lynch's death was shared by Knight in an emotional tribute, confirming he passed away on March 12. "I am heartbroken and don't know how to proceed without him," she wrote. Reflecting on their decades-long partnership and all of the shows they've played over the years, she added, "For every single one of them, I've had Bernie there, standing beside me. It's been such a wonderful, wonderful journey."
Lynch was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2024 and initially responded to treatment. However, the illness later spread to his bones and organs, and his condition deteriorated in recent months.
Knight also paid tribute to his character, remembering him as "an incredibly kind and caring person" who always looked out for those around him. She highlighted his generosity, humor and deep commitment to his bandmates both on and off stage.
Beyond performing, Lynch was the creative force behind many of Eurogliders' most enduring songs. "Without Bernie's songs, there would be no Eurogliders," Knight wrote, noting that his music continues to be played and celebrated decades later.
The band disbanded in the late 1980s but reunited several times over the years, including for tours and festival appearances in the 2000s and again in 2023, underscoring the lasting appeal of their music. Both Lynch and Knight always looked forward instead of living solely in the past, and they brought their fans with them.
"There's this old adage that when a band plays, all people want to hear are the hits. It’s not true," said Lynch in a 2015 interview. "Yes, they do want to hear the hits, but our audiences have proved that they are more than happy to listen to new songs. After the show they buy lots and lots of the albums that have the new songs on them and say that they like them. There is no trepidation, we just fire away."
As tributes continue to pour in, Bernie Lynch is being remembered for both his artistry and his impact on Australian music.
His songs, and the joy they brought to generations of listeners, remain his lasting legacy.

Who Won 'Jeopardy' Today? (March 18, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Fourth verse, same as the first! After making Jeopardy! history the previous day, it was going to be a tough act to follow for Jamie Ding. And though he did not put forward as much of a steamrolling performance as his past couple of episodes, he pulled out yet another easy vistory.

Luke MintonLuke Minton is a technology director from El Paso, Texas.
Jamie DingJamie Ding is a bureaucrat and law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He came into today having won the previous three episodes, netting $77,800 in the process.

Scary Spirit Airlines Experience Goes Viral After Passengers Were Forced to Restrain a Man—I Can't Say I Would've Done the Same
Like many people, I think that I would jump into action during a crisis, offering to help if I was able. However, one woman's viral TikTok video appears to show what happens when you aren't one of the people to leap into action during an altercation that happened on a Spirit Airlines flight.
According to her, being a bystander can actually be quite scary. Here's what she said happened when people on her flight were forced to help detain a man for 30 minutes until help arrived, and how nobody else on the plane knew what had happened, creating a terrifying experience for those on board.
@jademariegordon@Spirit Airlines - we watched a man be restrained by passengers for 30 minutes while in the air and escorted off the plane upon arrival. We were given NO information, words of assurance or anything from the flight crew during or after the incident. I’m not one to record or post people without their knowledge, but this may be the only way to get ANY answers about what happened. If you were on this flight and have any information, please share . #spiritairlines #spirit #airplane #plane
♬ original sound - jademariegordon Spirit Airline Passengers Were Forced to Detain a ManTikToker @jademariegordon shared a video of her scary experience while flying Spirit Airlines this month. The TikToker captioned the short clip, which shows several people holding a passenger down in their seat towards the front of the plane as cops arrived, with the what happened at the end of her flight. "We watched a man be restrained by passengers for 30 minutes while in the air and escorted off the plane upon arrival," she wrote. "We were given no information, words of assurance, or anything from the flight crew during or after the incident."
Then, she apologized for filming the people without their consent before asking if anyone from her flight had any information about what happened, highlighting how terrifying some of these unruly passenger interactions can be for those who aren't involved in the incident, but instead watching from a distance without any info.

People Explained What Likely Went Down in the CommentsI don't know that I would've leapt into action without knowing exactly what was going down, which is why I really hope that the people who were helping aid the flight crew and police knew what was happening since it sounds like nobody else did.
That being said, some of the commenters shared that the airline has good reason for keeping passengers in the dark about an incident, even if it doesn't exactly inspire confidence for those who are witnessing it from afar, like one flight attendant who revealed that flight crew members aren't allowed to share the details of an incident with anyone other than those directly involved. "The most important thing is that everyone landed safely," she said. "In situations like this, the crew’s priority is handling the situation and providing the necessary details to the appropriate officials."
Another person added that there really isn't time to make an announcement when a situation is ongoing, like the one in the clip appeared to be.
"I feel like having a plane full of panicked passengers while they're trying to restrain and keep said passengers safe, it's maybe not a good idea," the person wrote. "We don't always need to know everything about everything."
Related: Couple's Response to Blind Passenger's Service Dog Has the Internet Fuming
Someone claiming to be on the plane eventually chimed in with alleged details from the incident, which would not have made me feel better about knowing had I been on the plane at the time.
"He attempted to open the plane door while all of us were in the air," the person wrote. "Then started screaming about religious saying it was our time and if he died so would we."
The incident highlights just how sensitive and stressful these mid-air incidents can be. And while we may not always know exactly what is going on, it's important for those not directly involved to follow the directions of the flight staff and stay out of the way unless we're asked to lend a hand.

‘I Tried Alo Wellness Club for 3 Weeks—Here’s My Honest Review'
If you’re anything like me, you get bored with workouts pretty easily. I’m simply not a gym-membership type of gal—I much prefer the great outdoors and any convenient way to stay in shape. When the weather’s nice, I love going for walks or hiking various terrains. I do “walk and talks” with my friends and family, which makes the time go by quickly. When the weather’s not conducive, I honestly don’t want to leave my house. That’s when switching things up on a whim comes in handy. I have a home gym setup and am always on the lookout for fresh ways to enhance my wellness routine.
Everyone’s workout style is different. Some turn to working out with friends as a social outlet for their mental well-being. Personally, I like to crank up the tunes or stream a podcast and exercise on my own. Since I work from home, every day looks different. When I’m not traveling, I fit in my workout whenever it works best in my schedule. Although I usually shoot for mid-afternoon sessions, I’m diligent about grabbing a block of time whenever it falls naturally between phone calls, deadlines and appointments. My workout routine has to work for me in all the right ways.
When I heard about Alo Wellness Club—previously known as Alo Moves—I was eager to learn more about what it has to offer. What grabbed my attention? Not only does Alo provide curated classes I can conveniently do in my home gym and the ability to customize workouts that suit my goals, but it also includes outdoor fitness options. Plenty of variety to keep me intrigued!
I tried Alo Wellness Club for three weeks, and here’s how my experience went.

What Is Alo Wellness Club?If you’re a newbie to Alo Wellness, I can relate! I was totally ready to kick off a daily wellness practice, but had zero idea where to start. That’s where Alo came in clutch.
The Club offers 30-day programs designed to help users work toward their goals and establish consistent habits. The platform welcomes all fitness levels, from total beginners to advanced. With an impressive variety of classes and series across yoga, fitness, mindfulness and wellness, you’ll never get bored.
The brand writes on its site, “If it's your first time following a guided program, don't worry—we've built out rest days every week that incorporate self-care, mindfulness and walks to keep you on track while giving your body the rest it needs. Remember: consistency is key to building a habit. Prepare to feel stronger and more in tune with your body and mind when you show up for yourself every day.”

What Do You Need To Join?As someone who is undeniably obsessed with all things Alo, I was excited to give the brand’s Wellness Club a try. The best part? The app is entirely free. All you have to do is create an account to gain access to hundreds of workout/wellness programs and thousands of classes that you can perform essentially anywhere. You can even link your Alo account with the brand’s loyalty program to gain max benefits.
I’ve been let down by free fitness apps in the past, so I was curious to see whether Alo Wellness Club would live up to the hype—and it absolutely did. It truly delivers everything you’d expect from a paid app for the steal price of free.
Alexa Mellardo
My Experience Using Alo Wellness ClubI kicked off my Wellness Club experience by taking a survey, which asked me about my goals. I selected “get toned,” “increase strength,” “get better sleep,” “improve yoga practice” and “reduce stress.”
I was then able to choose the ideal workout frequency for my schedule—10 to 20-minute sessions, four days a week—along with which styles interest me the most. I selected Pilates, yoga, walking, strength and meditation. (Other options include barre, running, dance, nutrition, core, sculpt, stretch, stretching, high-intensity interval training and self-care.)
After entering my fitness level—I selected that I’ve worked out before and want to get back into a routine—I filled in my available equipment. I have ankle weights, yoga blocks, a yoga blanket, resistance bands and dumbbells.
All of this information helped the app customize my workout options. Based on my personal preferences, some of my available classes included Beginner Pilates Side-Lying, Pilates Tabata, Lymphatic Movement, Form & Flow, Upper Body Sculpt and Beginner Hip Stretch and Tone.

Video Quality and instructionThere are a few things I love about the app. One is the quality of the videos and instruction. For instance, I truly felt transported to a beachy setting during the Pilates Tabata class. The high-energy instructor kept me engaged the entire time as she performed lightweight dumbbell and bodyweight exercises on a mat by the sea. (I’ll admit I worked up a sweat with this one!)
Workout progressionI also appreciate how the workouts progress. There’s an excellent variety of classes for all fitness levels, and if you’re not feeling a workout, you can simply close out and choose another.

Mindfulness practicesAnother aspect I love? Alo’s integration of mindfulness. Life can get hectic, and my type-A self tends to get caught up in it all. I’ve realized I’m in dire need of wellness practices in my daily routine. I found the Breath of Presence program to be quite beneficial—it creates a peaceful space for me to quiet my always-running mind and focus on breathwork and journal prompts. I craft content all day on my computer, but there’s something so soothing about putting pen to paper in a journal.

Ease of UseI prefer streaming workout videos on my laptop, and the platform is seamless to use. (Because, let’s be honest: We’ve all experienced that one app that’s a total nightmare to navigate.) Every Alo workout comes with a detailed description and shares the style (Pilates, yoga, etc.), total run time, difficulty level, intensity, equipment needed and focus area (full-body, arms and more). There’s even a home for all of your saved or “hearted” workouts.
TakeawayHaving a platform like Alo Wellness Club on deck takes any guesswork out of the equation and makes sticking to a daily fitness routine much easier. I know I need to carve out 10 to 20 minutes of my day for movement—and all I need to do is select a video to stream and get started.

Dairy Farm Refuses Recall as E. Coli Outbreak Sickens Consumers in 3 States
Cheese lovers may want to pause before reaching for that block of cheddar. A raw cheddar cheese linked to a multistate E. coli outbreak has raised concerns across the country, and surprisingly, the company behind it has so far refused to pull it from store shelves. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers, but shoppers are still seeing the product for sale in stores.
The situation involves Raw Farm, a California-based dairy farm, whose raw cheddar cheeses have been tied to illnesses in California, Florida and Texas. Seven people, including young children, have fallen ill, and two landed in the hospital. The E. coli strain involved can cause serious complications, including kidney issues in severe cases, though no deaths have been reported so far.
What Consumers Need to KnowSymptoms of an E. coli infection can appear a few days after eating contaminated cheese and may include stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and fever. In some cases, the infection can lead to hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure. The risk is especially high for young children.
Despite the FDA's recommendation for a voluntary recall, Raw Farm's owner has refused to remove the cheeses from shelves, arguing that no E. coli has been detected in their products. This means consumers may still encounter Raw Farm raw cheddar cheese in stores or restaurants, making it important to handle the cheese safely. The FDA advises cleaning and sanitizing any surfaces or containers that came into contact with these products and to avoid serving them to children until the investigation concludes.
Related: Possible Rodent Hair Contamination Prompts Recall of Popular Aldi Product
How to Stay SafeAt this time, health officials are urging anyone who has eaten Raw Farm raw cheddar cheese and experiences symptoms to contact their healthcare provider immediately. It's also recommended that consumers avoid giving this cheese to children or anyone with a vulnerable immune system. Stores, restaurants, and foodservice operators should follow FDA guidance on cleaning and sanitizing surfaces that the cheese may have touched to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
While testing continues to determine whether additional products may be affected, the outbreak highlights the risks associated with raw, unpasteurized dairy. Raw cheeses can carry harmful bacteria even if the products look and taste fine. Shoppers are encouraged to stay updated through the FDA and CDC for any new developments or advisories.
With the product still on shelves and the outbreak ongoing, it's a reminder that food safety requires vigilance and that even seemingly simple items like cheddar cheese can pose serious health risks if handled or consumed improperly.

Pillsbury Launches ‘Scrumptious’ New Spring Cookie Dough Flavor
Pillsbury is welcoming spring with a fruity new cookie mix flavor and bringing back a few of its seasonal classics.
Known for its iconic place-and-bake sugar cookie shapes and safe-to-eat-raw dough, Pillsbury has really expanded its lineup in recent years, jumping on the oversized, bakery-style cookie trend made popular by chains like Crumbl and Insomnia with last summer's debut of its Big Cookies in flavors like S’mores, Chocolate Chunk Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate Cherry.
This spring, it's giving fans the best of both worlds—massive spring-inspired gourmet cookies and the return of three more traditional offers.
Pillsbury Debuts 'Juicy' New Cookie Dough Flavor, Revives Fan-Favorite Spring and Easter Sugar Cookie ShapesPillsbury's Big Cookies are approximately three times larger than the cookies that consumers enjoy with the brand’s original cookie dough and each package bakes half a dozen (or six) cookies in about 17 to 21 minutes, depending on your location.

Joining the everyday lineup of bakery-style coolies this season is a "juicy," fruit-forward flavor that reminds us of the cobblers, crumb cakes, or pies that we see return to bakery displays with berry season (which officially begins in May). New to Pillsbury's lineup this year is its Big Cookies Blueberry Crumble Cookie Dough.
The "scrumptious" recipe features "graham flavor pieces, white chocolate flavored morsels and juicy blueberry flavored nuggets throughout," according to an official description shared in an email with Parade. Like the other Big Cookies that came before it, this dough is safe to eat raw and easy to prepare, simply spread out on a baking sheet and pop in the oven. After a few moments, six shareable, oversized cookies will be ready to enjoy.
Pillsbury Big Cookies New Blueberry Crumble flavor arrives this spring.Pillsbury/General Mills
As for the seasonal favorites, a rep for General Mills (Pillsbury's parent company) said its Bunny Shape Sugar Cookie Dough, Chick Shape Sugar Cookie Dough, and Easter Egg Cutout Sugar Cookie Dough will also return to store shelves this spring.
The Bunny and Chick shapes are like all other Pillsbury seasonal sugar cookies; however, the brand's Easter Egg cutouts are a bit more customizable. Once cooled, at-home bakers can whip up some fresh frosting (or, to save time, grab a premade jar, like the new pistachio flavor Pillsbury dropped) and decorate to their hearts' content.
Where Will the New Pillsbury Big Blueberry Crumble Cookie Dough and Spring Shape Sugar Cookies Be Available?Pillsbury's new Big Cookies Blueberry Crumble Cookie Dough, as well as its returning spring sugar cookie shapes, are expected to be available at most major retailers nationwide now, if not in the coming weeks.
Find the seasonal cookies in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores or wherever else you stock up on other Pillsbury favorites (prices may vary).

When you hear the word "residency," it's hard not to picture something big and glitzy, like Adele lighting up Caesars Palace or No Doubt taking over the Sphere with a full-on spectacle. It's sequins, spotlights and a reason to plan an entire trip around a concert. That's the version we're used to—big names and big stages.
But a residency doesn't have to mean Vegas lights and sold-out crowds. It can be something a little more luxurious and unexpected. Something that's an indulgent experience you stumble into and never want to leave—like boutique chocolatier Compartés setting up shop at St. Lucia's Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort for the weekend.
😋😋 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter 🍳🍔
Instead of a stage, think ocean views and artfully crafted chocolate moments woven into your stay. It's the kind of "residency" that feels dreamy and deliciously low-key, and it's all happening at Sugar Beach from April 4–6, perfectly timed for Easter (April 5).
View this post on InstagramThroughout the immersive weekend, you'll find chocolate-making masterclasses at the Cocoa Mill, which is the resort's exclusive chocolate workshop. These will be led by Compartés' own founder, Jonathan Grahm. The whole thing just makes an already luxe-feeling vacation that much sweeter.

What Other Activities Are Happening During the Residency?Basically, this isn't just about eating really good chocolate (although, yes, there's plenty of that). If you're staying at Sugar Beach, you can actually get hands-on and learn how the whole thing comes together. We're talking tempering, molding, layering flavors—the works. You even get to make your own Compartés bar using Caribbean ingredients like toasted coconut, fresh fruit and local spices. It's equal parts fun activity and a "Wait, I made this?" moment. And it's absolutely family-friendly.
For grown-ups, there's also a Compartés Rum & Chocolate Tasting, where adult sips are paired with delicious treats.
It doesn't stop with the classes. You'll find these custom chocolates popping up all over the resort—from your minibar to the gift shop—so even if you skip the workshop, you're still very much in on the experience (and the snacking).
Can't Make It to the Resort? There's Still Something For YouEven if a trip to St. Lucia isn't in the cards right now, you can still get a little taste of it at home. Compartés put together a limited-edition bar inspired by its collab with Sugar Beach, and it leans fully into those bright, tropical flavors. The Compartés Sugar Beach Caramelized Banana Chocolate Bar features a rich, slightly toasty sweetness, all wrapped up in eye-catching packaging. So you can still get in on the vibe without booking a flight. It's kind of like a mini escape you can unwrap, and for just $11.95 per bar.

'Law & Order: SVU' Star Appearing in Daughter Sophia's Directorial Debut
Fifteen years after enlisting the help of his daughter while making his directorial debut with Dirty Movie, Christopher Meloni is returning the favor. The Law & Order: SVU star recently finished filming for Sophie Meloni's directorial debut, Chop Cheese. Written and directed by Sophia, the film is based on a short story she wrote in college and focuses on her younger brother Dante's teenage years.
Along with Christopher, the film stars Michael Gandolfini, the son of the late Sopranos star James Gandolfini. Sophia and Gandolfini have been friends for years. In 2023, she posted an Instagram photo of the pair posing as children, along with a sweet message of how he was "so special" to her. Luca Rickman, her mother, Sherman Williams Meloni, and many of her cousins also have roles in the film.
View this post on Instagram"I became fascinated by the mystery of the teenage boy, so certain, so fragile and completely consumed by the urgency of becoming someone," Sophia explained in a director's statement (via Hollywood Reporter). "One small anecdote from that time — a summer job taken to repay a debt — kept resurfacing, not because it was dramatic but because it felt true. That’s the New York story I wanted to tell."
"New York is a city defined by excess — noise, people, ambition and motion," she continued. "There is always something happening somewhere else. But growing up here, I learned that the moments that shape you most often happen in the margins: in waiting, in loitering, in the small rituals that repeat until they quietly become your life. Chop Cheese is my attempt to capture one of those moments, a seemingly trivial encounter that, for a sixteen-year-old, carries the weight of destiny."
According to the synopsis, the film will follow "a 16-year-old boy who reckons with manhood while vying for boss status from the grill master at the local bodega, only to learn that respect has a price and must be earned."
The film's title comes from the popular New York City bodega sandwich of chopped beef, grilled onions, and topped with melted American cheese. It's typically served on a hero bun with lettuce, tomato, and ketchup, and, according to First We Feast, is "a locals-only symbol of NYC regionalism similar to 8 Ball jackets and Timberland boots."
Major Credit Card Launches a New Travel App and I Honestly Think It Beats Out Expedia, Kayak and Hopper
Imagine having every piece of travel planning, booking, and rewards tracking in one place, without juggling separate apps or multiple loyalty dashboards. That’s exactly where Capital One Travel distinguishes itself from Expedia and other traditional Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). While Expedia excels at offering a broad inventory of flights, hotels, and rental cars across multiple partners, it does not natively integrate credit card rewards into the booking process.
Capital One Travel, on the other hand, allows cardholders to redeem points at checkout, view point-to-dollar tradeoffs in real time, and even apply special offers automatically based on the card used. For travelers like me, who constantly switch between flights, hotel bookings, and multiple rewards programs, this seamless integration saves time and reduces mental load, ensuring every booking optimizes both convenience and value.
Fuel your wanderlust with our top travel stories—join our newsletter today.
What the App Actually Does: Beyond Basic BookingAt its core, the Capital One Travel app is a full‑service travel platform that lets you book flights, hotels, rental cars, vacation rentals, and activities all from one interface.
In practical terms, cardholders can:
- Search and book flights and hotels through the app’s native booking engine.
- Reserve rental cars and activities, consolidating all parts of your itinerary.
- Redeem travel rewards during checkout, which is a step above simply earning points.
- Track trip details in real time, including gate changes, flight alerts, and airport amenities.
- See lounge waitlist info and capacity for eligible travelers.
Related: Travelers Are Rushing to Download United’s New App for This One Game-Changing Feature
What makes this feel less like fragmented travel planning and more like an actual travel hub is the app’s journey‑aware interface, which changes the information displayed based on where you are in your trip and what alerts you might need next.
Who the App Is For: Not Just the Frequent FlyerWhile anyone with a Capital One card can technically download the app, it is really designed for travelers who are intentional about rewards, efficiency, and maximizing the value of their trips. Frequent flyers, those who collect miles or chase statement credits, and travelers who plan multiple trips per year will find that Capital One Travel integrates financial incentives directly with travel planning in a way most other booking tools do not.
It is also worth noting that Capital One has shifted from its previous partnership with Hopper Technology Solutions (formerly Hopper Cloud) to bring more of the travel technology in-house, a move the company says will allow tighter personalization and smoother integration across both planning and in-transit experiences. This shift underscores the app’s purpose: to make travel work for you instead of the other way around, providing a more cohesive and seamless experience for travelers who value both convenience and rewards optimization
How It Links With Credit Cards, Miles, and RewardsUnlike many travel apps that show only cash prices and require you to manually link loyalty accounts or calculate point values, Capital One Travel allows you to redeem rewards at checkout when booking flights, hotels, or other travel products, see point-value tradeoffs before confirming a booking, and apply special offers tied to specific Capital One cards.
Its tight integration with Capital One cards and points means travelers can view both the dollar cost and the rewards cost simultaneously, which I’ve found makes decision-making far smoother than bouncing between separate reward calculators and external booking tools.
Related: 7 Habits Real Travelers Swear Will Save You Money
Compared to Other Travel Apps — Where It StandsSo how does this stack up with heavy hitters like Expedia, Kayak, Hopper, or even airline and hotel apps? Expedia and Kayak are excellent at aggregating options across partners, offering deep filters and broad inventory. Hopper is known for its price prediction tools, which aim to tell you when to book for the best price. These platforms are metasearch and booking tools first, rather than reward management platforms.
From my perspective, this is where Capital One really shines. I personally find Capital One Travel better than Expedia because it allows me to see rewards and cash value side by side and redeem points at checkout. You won’t get a better award tracking experience out of the box with most OTAs unless you use add-ons or separate reward trackers. That said, if your travel strategy revolves purely around price hunting, traditional OTAs might still have an edge, but for travelers like me who prioritize reward optimization and integrated travel management, Capital One Travel adds real value and a smarter, more seamless experience.
Handy Features and Tools Travelers Will Actually UseBeyond booking and rewards, the app offers a few practical tools that feel genuinely useful in the real world:
- Flight Alerts & Gate Changes: Live updates that pop up as your trip progresses.
- Airport Lounge Details: Real‑time capacity and waitlist views for lounges tied to your eligibility.
- Trip Feed: A living itinerary that adjusts and shows relevant info based on your trip status.
- Self‑Service Support: Options to manage disruptions or call for help directly in the app.
Be the first to know about new travel trends, tips, and tales—subscribe now.
Final Thoughts: A Travel Sidekick Worth TryingThis new Capital One Travel app won’t replace every travel tool you use, but it does feel like a thoughtful step toward a more unified travel experience. It manages trips, ties rewards directly to bookings, and keeps your information in one place, which is something a lot of frequent travelers crave.
For travelers who bounce between flights, hotels, and reward currencies, this feels like a fresh tool worth experimenting with, especially if you’re already in the Capital One card ecosystem.
Jane Fonda Will Star in Film Adaptation of ‘The Correspondent’ After Seven-Studio Bidding War
Jane Fonda will star in the film adaptation of The Correspondent, the hit novel by Virginia Evans that continues to top the bestseller list and has already sold over one million copies.
Fonda, 88, who rose to fame in legendary films like Klute, On Golden Pond, Barbarella, and They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?, will play the role of Sybil Van Antwerp, an aging woman who pens endless letters to her friends, family, and acquaintances as she navigates a life filled with grief.
The film is described as “a sharp-witted, fiercely opinionated, retired lawyer who has long used letters to impose order on a complicated world — writing to friends, family, literary icons and one elusive recipient whose message she has never sent,” a synopsis explains, Variety reported. “But, when an unexpected letter from her past resurfaces, Sybil is forced to confront a long-buried chapter of grief, regret, and unresolved guilt.”
Erin Westerman, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group President, shared how thrilled she is to partner with Fonda, who will also serve as a producer, as well as producer Todd Lieberman, and Cat Vasko, who will write the feature. Lionsgate's acquisition of the film came after a seven-studio bidding war.
“We could not be more honored that Virginia, Jane, and Cat have chosen us to be their studio partner on this project," said Westerman in a statement. “This book spoke to so many people on our team who found Sybil’s story and character deeply moving, and we believe Jane, Virginia, and Cat responded to the genuine enthusiasm and personal touch that we bring.”
Lieberman called the book "a phenomenon. To be invited in alongside the legend Jane Fonda, with my Lionsgate partners and Cat, is a thrilling honor—and we all can’t wait to have moviegoers experience the same catharsis that so many book readers already have.”
What Does Author Virginia Evans Say About the Film Adaptation?Evans, who penned the runaway hit novel, took to Instagram to share the news with a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing the exciting news.
"#TheCorrespondent – based on the best-selling novel by @virginia.l.evans. Coming soon," the caption read.

Shonda Rhimes Defends Oscars' Decision to Exclude Eric Dane from 'In Memoriam' Segment
Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is defending the Academy's decision to exclude Eric Dane from the Oscars' "In Memoriam" segment.
"Well, he's not a movie star, you know?" Rhimes said to Entertainment Tonight after the awards ceremony. "And I feel like when the Emmys come around, he will be [immortalized] the way he should be."
"We can't fault the Oscars for the fact that they're looking at movies," she continued. "And there were so many people who were lost, but Eric was unique to television and I can't wait to see what they do with him [at the Emmys]."
The 2026 Primetime Emmys are scheduled for Sept. 14, 2026.

Since the Oscars on Sunday, Mar. 15, the Academy has been facing backlash for not including Dane and late Dawson's Creek actor James Van Der Beek in the tribute.
A source told Us Weekly that the Academy “receives hundreds of requests to include loved ones and industry colleagues” to be featured during the "In Memoriam" segment. To narrow down the requests, an executive committee is formed with members from every branch of the Academy.
The source explained that those committee members review the list and make “recommendations for the telecast based on limited available time.”
All of the submissions, including those not featured during the live broadcast, are included on the Oscars website and remain there for the duration of the year.
