@walnutthefluffycorgi shared the clip on TikTok, and the comments immediately turned into a full fan club meeting. Walnut scoots backward, looks over his shoulder, like, “You getting this?” and continues the reverse strut like rent is due.

Some viewers joked he was humping a toy. I can't really see a toy in the clip, but hey, if you think this sweet Walnut is doing that rather than actually dancing, who am I to argue? Others understood the assignment. “Corgi B,” one person wrote. Another said, “The club hates to see him coming,” which is violently accurate. And the little over-the-shoulder look-back? Unreal. One commenter said, “That look-back was lethal,” and yes. It absolutely was.

The energy is somewhere between chaotic club-goer and confident dance captain. He is giving main character. He is giving midnight ballerina, who might also buy your life.

Brookfield Zoo in Chicago recently welcomed a baby white-bellied pangolin pup, and the newborn baby was born on World Pangolin Day, a global conservation event held on Feb. 20.

The Zoo announced the arrival of the tiny “pangopup” at a time advocates around the world are trying to raise awareness about this unique species. While the timing wasn’t planned, it sure was meaningful.

Well someone certainly knows how to make an entrance.

This is the tenth pangolin birth at Brookfield Zoo in the past decade, an amazing achievement for a species that is quite difficult to breed in human care.

The Zoo released photos of the newborn clinging closely to its mother, a typical behavior for pangolins. Babies often ride on their mother’s tail as she moves, staying protected and close during their first vulnerable weeks.

The newborn and her mother, Rosy, were examined by the Zoo’s animal care and veterinary teams. They are doing well. Mark Wanner, associate vice president of animal care and conservation, said, "Every birth is a significant learning opportunity. Each pangopup allows us to gain new insights into their development and neonatal care, which helps us protect their cousins in the wild."

What Is a Pangolin?

Even though they're often called “scaly anteaters,” they are not closely related to anteaters. They are the only mammals in the world covered in protective keratin scales. This is the same material found in human fingernails. When they are in danger, they curl into a tight ball and use their tough scales as armor against predators.

White-bellied pangolins, the species born at Brookfield, are native to central and western Africa. They are primarily nocturnal and use long, sticky tongues, sometimes longer than their bodies, to feed on ants and termites.

Their strong claws help them break into insect nests, but those same claws and their shy nature make them especially sensitive to environmental disruption.

Speaking of their babies, newborn pangopups have soft and pale scales. They harden within a few days. In the wild, they often hitch a ride by clinging to their mother’s tail.

Are Pangolins Endangered?

Yes. Pangolins are considered the most trafficked mammals in the world. Sadly, humans hunt them for their scales and for their meat. Their scales are widely used in traditional medicine in Asia.

All eight species of pangolin are now threatened with extinction. Depending on the species, they are listed as Vulnerable, Endangered or Critically Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

For Brookfield Zoo, this latest pangolin birth is more than just a cute moment. The birth shows how years of specialized care and collaboration among conservation experts can yield significant results.

Some cats demand attention, and they know all the tricks to get you to focus on them. They'll meow while looking up at you with their big eyes, or they'll try the biscuits and purr method, or they've found that flopping over at your feet and exposing their fluffy belly always works. On February 23, 2026, @chopper__daily introduced us to an extremely cute tri-colored Persian named Carrot, who has found a new way to get attention from her parents that she'll probably never have to worry about getting what she wants. It's so cute, even those of us watching want to give her everything, too. 

When there's something she wants, Carrot has figured out that standing on her two hind legs with her front two paws stretched far above her head so she can wave them around is the easiest, foolproof way to get anything. Yep. It works.

In the comments, viewers of the clip had no idea, declaring that the cute paw above her head movement would be the defining moment for them as cat parents. And they're ready to give her anything she wants, too.

Another added, "It's the sweet little furry face... my cats, too, get whatever they want."

Persian Cats Are Really Known for Being Charming

Carrot is one of the sweetest and cutest fluffy cats we've met on the internet, and even in a short clip, it's clear that she's a true sweetheart. And that's pretty expected for a Persian, experts explain.

According to The International Cat Association, Persians are quiet and gentle and love living in calm spaces because that's when they're at their best. They are easygoing, love lounging with their families, and are happy to share their feelings, which they do with their "expressive eyes and soft, harmonious voices." They love hard when they're given care, attention, and a gentle touch, and have a way of communicating that's so sweet and gentle, which we see here with Carrot. 

So if she wants anything, she's probably well aware that doing that cute thing with her paws is a fast way to success.

Before I adopted our Corgi, I didn't know how intensely loyal, loving, and hardworking these dogs are. Much in the way my senior rescue Staffy continues battling a relentless cancer, I can't imagine how much more my heart would break if my Pembroke girl did, too.

When I heard that a beloved Corgi named Graffiti is currently battling a cancer of his own, I sobbed for hours. The situation is challenging enough, but to see the way this strong, courageous, and resilient pup is taking it all on the chin, I can't help but feel inspired—and once you hear his story, you will, too.

Graffiti’s recovery days look like this. We set up his oxygen chamber, make it feel like a den, and let him choose. If he goes in, we turn it on. If he doesn’t, we don’t force it. He’s not reliant on oxygen, and it wouldn’t correct anemia after a bleed. Anemia affects how oxygen is carried in the blood, not how it’s breathed in. But increasing the oxygen available with each breath can still offer meaningful support while he stabilizes. Grateful to have it as a tool. The sweet 8-year-old Corgi's first signs of distress—feeling lethargic and refusing to eat—began in November 2025 when his parents immediately rushed him to the vet for answers.

What the Tests Revealed

An X-ray then revealed the worst news: Graffiti had a large mass in his abdomen, and it had metastasized to his lungs. They said this precious boy who likes to sleep in his parents' bed would only live another four to six weeks, which is unimaginable. I'm sorry if you're sobbing right along with me, but there's good news—he's making progress!

Last week really tested us and honestly it took everything we had. We were stretched in ways we haven’t been before. But the way Graffiti recovered and showed us how strong he is, how much he still wants to be here, has been incredible to witness. There were parts we didn’t include in the video because some moments were just too raw. It made us realize how important support is at this stage. There was a moment that shook us, and showed us we shouldn’t be navigating this alone. Bringing professional hospice support into our home has changed how we’re approaching this, and it gives us a steadier foundation if things shift again. Since the bleed last Wednesday, we’ve watched Graffiti grow stronger every day. Brighter eyes, steadier energy, more engagement, more him. We’ve seen him rebound once before, and watching him rebuild again reminds us exactly who he is. He’s steady. He’s resilient. He’s pressing forward on his own terms. Graffiti is on week 12 of fighting, and though he's had a lot of good days and bad ones, he's still here, smiling, and being the best boy in the whole world. His oxygen chamber den may not cure all he's going through, but it's another piece of support to give him a little comfort.

Despite any pain he's in, Graffiti is the same adorable Corgi who loves to snuggle, has the sweetest disposition, and continues to be the doggy warrior he is.

What Is Hemangiosarcoma?

Experts describe hemangiosarcoma (HSA) as a highly malignant and aggressive form of cancer in the blood vessels, causing internal bleeding severe enough to cause bleeding, lethargy, pale gums, and respiratory distress.

It affects the spleen, heart, and skin, usually seen in older and/or large-breed dogs like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Labrador Retrievers, but often goes unnoticed until a sudden collapse due to unseen tumors.

As many of Graffiti's fans have noted, every new update gets me emotional. There's no world where losing a dog to something like this feels easy. So all we can do is love them with everything we have while they're here. Keep fighting, Graffiti—you're doing amazing.

It’s not every day a dentist asks a patient to open wide and finds a mouth full of tusks growing backward through the skin. However, for one babirusa at the London Zoo, that is exactly what happened.

The internet has given him the nickname “the world’s ugliest pig,” but Ubi, a babirusa living at the London Zoo, is a special animal. He recently found himself in need of a dental intervention after Zoo keepers noticed he was acting a bit sluggish and avoiding his favorite crunchy snacks.

The Zoo called in a veterinary dental specialist to assess the situation. A CT scan revealed problems with his tusks, and they quickly got to work.

According to the Zoo, Ubi was a model patient. The procedure involved trimming the infected tusks to stop them from causing further pain, and then sealing them with a specialized resin to prevent infection.

After the successful dental work, Ubi got back to being his happy self and now enjoys his time at the London Zoo.

What Is a Babirusa?

Native to the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi and Togian, babirusas are often called “demon pigs.” They have a unique appearance, and unlike other pigs, they are largely hairless and possess astonishing, gnarly tusks.

Now, you might think they come out of a fantasy world, but they are very real and fascinating animals.

Males have upper tusks that are actually teeth. They grow upward, pierce through the skin of the snout and curl backward toward the forehead.

The problem with their tusks occurs when they are not trimmed. In rare cases, they can grow long enough to pierce the babirusa's own skull!

Despite their intimidating look, babirusas are shy forest animals. They are omnivores, feeding on fruits, leaves, roots and small invertebrates.

Are Babirusas Endangered?

The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species puts babirusas as a "Vulnerable" group. Their population is declining due to habitat loss caused by deforestation, agricultural expansion and hunting. Found in limited areas of Indonesia, these amazing species are very sensitive to environmental change.

The good news is that zoos help a lot. They play a role in conservation through carefully managed breeding programs and veterinary care. Dental health is particularly important for animals like babirusas, whose tusks are constantly growing and can become damaged or infected. Ubi’s dental procedure may sound unusual, but it highlights the level of specialized care modern zoos provide.

Teacup Yorkie puppies are already itty bitty, but a 4.5-ounce Yorkie puppy is basically a moving shadow with opinions. At just 4 weeks old, little Chai is so small he genuinely looks like he could scurry behind your toaster and start stealing crumbs. His glossy black coat, button nose, and microscopic paws make him look less like a dog and more like a very polite woodland mouse who accidentally joined a puppy program.

Extra-small puppies often need supplemental feeding to keep their blood sugar stable and support healthy growth. In Chai’s case, that means multiple hand-fed meals throughout the day, and judging by his enthusiasm, he is extremely aware of the schedule.

TikToker @e.deadly introduces Chai as “the smallest puppy in our program,” and then he shows exactly how his extra meals work. While his larger sister eats normally, Chai gets hand-fed a carefully mixed blend of puppy formula and vitamin drops. He’s placed on a little cushion on the kitchen counter with a feeding pad, and when the syringe comes out? It is go time.

He paddles his teeny paws, gets formula all over his tiny face, and makes that urgent “please stop narrating and feed me immediately” expression. One commenter joked, “Lord, stop talking and feed me pleaseeee,” which feels accurate. Another called it “hand-feeding zoomies,” and honestly, that is the most correct scientific term I have heard all week.

Watching him knead with his little paws while eating almost took me out. I used to volunteer at the humane society, bottle-feeding abandoned kittens, and they would do the exact same thing: tiny paws pressing and kneading like they were trying to manufacture more milk through sheer determination. It’s instinctive, and it’s heartbreakingly sweet.

Bottle-feeding or syringe-feeding a puppy should only be done under veterinary guidance, especially for very small or underweight pups. The formula must be specifically designed for puppies, warmed gently, and fed slowly to prevent aspiration.

Tiny puppies need frequent meals, careful monitoring of weight gain, and a warm, safe environment to thrive. Supplemental feeding can be lifesaving when done correctly, but it requires patience, precision, and a whole lot of dedication.

I think all dogs are beautiful, boasting their own unique features that make them stand out. Some canines are sleek and shiny, possessing a runway-ready look that goes toward glam. In the TikTok from @brisket.the.doodle, the canine cutie's mom was sharing her snack with him. While the heartwarming moment of generosity was sweet to witness, Brisket's head-turning appearance took precendence.

The Bernedoodle's patchwork coat of many colors was a sight to behold. White fluffy fur splattered with perfectly placed black tufts covered his body. Honey-hued hair spread over a little of Brisket's muzzle, as well as part of his legs and paws.

One blue eye and one brown eye peered out from beneath the adorable cloud of floof on top of his head. His coat alternated between soft waves and ringlet curls, though his ears were full-on scrunchable shag.

Brisket is probably often mistaken for a plush toy or stuffed animal straight out of the store. His poofy coat that resembles a mosaic is so idyllic, it doesn't seem real. Add in Brisket's sweet facial expressions, giant paws, and floppy ears, and it's like he originated from a mythical toy shop.

Merle Coats Are Caused by Genetic Mutation

Doodle hybrids are known as designer dogs and typically come with those fluffy and feathery coats. Crossing a Poodle with a Bernese Mountain Dog results in extra floof and poof.

Bernedoodles with a Merle coat get that iconic marbled fur from a dominant gene inherited from either a Merle Poodle or a Merle Bernedoodle. Purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs don't carry the gene.  This Merle mutation impacts the dilution and distribution of pigmentation in a dog’s fur, creating that eye-catching patchwork coat.

In addition to their showstopping appearance, Merle Bernedoodles are highly intelligent, gentle, affectionate, and playful. These crossbreeds make wonderful family pets and love to socialize with people of all ages.

And like Brisket, they're as cuddly as a teddy bear.

Great Danes are beloved for their towering size and gentle temperament. Despite their massive presence, they're patient and calm companions around children and smaller pets.

A perfect example of that gentle nature is Axel, a Great Dane who shares his home with a tiny Dachshund and a Teacup Poodle. While the little siblings battled it out in a small bed beside him, Axel remained completely unfazed. If there were ever a moment that captured classic older-sibling energy, this might be it.

Axel shows impressive composure under pressure. Even as his sisters carried on with their spat, complete with kicks, pushes, and plenty of chatter, he stayed steady. He didn't intervene, move away, or react when their squabble spilled into his space. Like a wise older sibling, he simply let them work it out.

Viewers couldn't help imagining what Axel might have been thinking. One commenter wrote, "He's like, 'Please send help!' I hope he got a treat!"

Great Danes Are Known for Their Gentle Nature

Historically, the breed served a very different role. German nobles once used Great Danes to hunt wild boar, and they later became valued protectors of home and family, a role their loyal nature continues to reflect.

According to the American Kennel Club, Great Danes are known for their friendly, dependable nature and often show patience with children and other small animals. Despite their imposing size, they are typically gentle and affectionate, earning them the nickname "gentle giants." This steady temperament helps them remain calm in busy households and tolerant of energetic companions. That steady presence is easy to see with Axel.

Some cats politely ask for a bite. Winston prefers performance art. In a TikTok video, the dramatic little guy stands on the coffee table while his human watches TV with a bag of popcorn. He looks completely innocent—at least at first. But Winston has a reputation, and apparently, this is one of his signature moves. Whenever his bowl needs filling, or his human dares to snack without consulting him, he suddenly develops a very suspicious “eye injury.” The caption reads, “Fine immediately after too lmao 🙄,” and honestly, that eye roll tells the whole story.

It's the kind of cat behavior that makes you laugh because it is so wildly specific. Winston is not just begging. He is committing to a full character arc. He somehow manages to look pitiful, urgent, and just convincing enough to make everyone pause for a second and wonder if maybe something really is wrong. Then, of course, the second he gets what he wants, he is magically cured. What a little sneak.

Winston is not subtle about his manipulation, but he is good at it. He has clearly figured out that his human has a soft spot, especially when snacks are involved. And honestly, who could blame her for giving in just a little? When a cat is sitting there on your lap, staring up at you like the world is ending over a piece of popcorn, it takes real strength to say no. Winston seems to know that.

The Cat Fancier's Association explains the origin story of how a Scottish Fold came to have those legendary ears, and as it turns out, it wasn't planned. Bred from a British Shorthair and a domestic male cat, a dominant gene caused a spontaneous mutation, resulting in those unique "folded-over" ears.

My dogs have never mastered the art of stealth mode, though my Dachshund tries her best. In the TikTok from @xosimplylo, Finn was moving at a snail's pace from one end of the room to the other. The gorgeous Golden gently placed each paw on the floor, hoping every step was silent. Finn kept his head down, as if avoiding eye contact with anyone in the room would make him invisible.

Apparently, the canine cutie has a habit of trying to sneak up on family members and was hoping to catch his mom off guard.

Sometimes we all need a little makeover. Movie stars can't have all the fun!

Though we love it when our dogs get a little dirty and have shaggy hair, there comes a point where it gets a bit out of hand, and well, stinky.

That was exactly the case for Einstein, the Wirehaired Dachshund, who is one of nine Dachshunds in a family.

Einstein is the only Wirehaired Dachshund in the group, so she already stands out, and it also helps that she has a mohawk.

They also just adopted a Great Dane named Harley, who adds even more sweet chaos to the group.

Obviously, keeping up with grooming for 10 dogs is a lot, but Einstein's mom finally realized it was time for her to go to the groomer, especially since she had an upcoming photo shoot.

"She starts smelling cheesy. The beard gets crusty," her mom said in the video from the account @yunabugs.

She compared Einstein's hair to that of actor William H. Macy, Beetlejuice, and of course, her namesake, Albert Einstein.

So off the two of them went to the groomers. Her mom told the audience she always carefully goes over what she wants in a haircut (definitely some cleanup around her beard and eyes) for Einstein, as she likes the mohawk, but this gal definitely needs a cut!

While Einstein got her makeover, her mom did a little self-care as well, including eyebrow threading and lip hair waxing.

In the charming video, mom zooms in on the dog’s eyes and scared face.

As the harness gets closer, the Golden Retriever gets creative and tries to nip at the restraint before finally surrendering and letting mom secure the harness in place. Mom approaches slowly and cautiously, but it’s clear the dog is hoping to win this battle of wills.

One of the frisky felines in the trio managed to chew open the bag, sending green flakes flying like confetti. They dove in headfirst, rolling, rubbing, and skidding across the floor in a cloud of catnip bliss.

It coats the floor and clings to their fur as the three delighted troublemakers tumble through the evidence of their fun. One long-haired gray sibling watches like a supervisor who has no intention of getting in trouble but refuses to miss the action.
