Vocal French Bulldog 'Telling on Dad' for Taking Him to Vet Is Pure Internet Gold

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 9:57am

Ever watch your partner take your dog to the vet and then come home to a full report from the dog about everything that went wrong? That's what's happening with Archie the French Bulldog, and it's absolute comedy.

There's a TikTok where Archie comes home from the vet and immediately runs to mom to file a formal complaint. Dad's in trouble. Big trouble. And Archie's got a whole list of grievances he needs to get off his chest.

The "translation" of what Archie's saying goes something like this: "What happened? I'm mad! Dad did that. Mad! Mad! To start, he starved me this morning. Then, he took me to the vet and they stabbed me! It hurt! And he made an appointment to snip off my 🥜! Absolutely not! Yell at him, Mama! I'm not going back! I peed in his car on the ride home. I'm so mad. You better yell at him."

Meanwhile, Louie—the grey merle Frenchie—is sitting there quietly being the good sibling while Archie rants. Just patiently waiting for his turn to get attention while chaos unfolds.

People in the comments are losing it.

"The side-eye to Dad is hilarious!" noticed one person watching Archie keep checking to make sure dad's hearing all of this.

"The more times I watch it, the funnier it is," wrote someone stuck in a rewatch loop.

The yawn mid-rant got people: "The yawn in mid-argument is sending me into tears, like baby hang in there 😂😂😂!"

"His ranting is spectacular and I like how he has moral support behind him 😁" referenced Louie's quiet presence backing him up.

One person summarized Archie absolutely perfect: "Spicy little gargoyle."

The funniest (most outlandish) warning to dad: "Dad, you better sleep with one eye open from now on."

French Bulldogs Are Extremely Vocal and Dramatic Communicators

Here's why Archie's going full theatrical: French Bulldogs are naturally loud, dramatic communicators who feel everything intensely and express it at maximum volume.

Part of it's physical. Those smooshed faces and compact airways mean when they vocalize, everything comes out louder and more intense than you'd expect. A regular bark turns into a shriek. A complaint becomes an opera.

But it's also personality. Frenchies have huge emotions packed into those tiny little bodies. They don't do anything halfway. When they're happy, it's ecstatic. When they're upset? You're gonna hear about it. Loudly. Repeatedly.

They're also obsessed with their people and getting attention. Archie running straight to mom to tattle? Classic Frenchie behavior. They want you to know exactly how they feel about everything that's happening.

And honestly? They've figured out that being dramatic works. You react when they make noise, so they keep doing it.

Archie peeing in dad's car on the way home? That wasn't an accident. That was a statement. Message received, Archie. Message received.

Rescue Dog’s Guilty Look After He ‘Steals Mom’s Cold Foam’ Wins Hearts

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 9:00am

Dogs love a treat. Everybody knows that dogs love a treat, and companies try their best to get in on that. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of dog treat brands out there today. My dogs really like most Trader Joe's treats!

No treats, however, even come close to a pup cup. They're just so special, especially because they're almost always accompanied by a car ride. When one rescue dog was left unattended with mom's Dunkin' refresher after not getting a pup cup... That cold foam was the first to go:

@chancythetrickdog

(He’s not scared, he is just majorly drugged from his vet appointment. I’d never yell at him for taking what is rightfully his of course 😉) #dunkin #thief #dog #dogtraining #sillygoose

♬ original sound - goldenbiscuit.tx

Chancy the Trick Dog is so real for this. I'm glad everyone in the comments is coming to his defense! She forgot to get him a Pup Cup. This is on her!

She points out in the caption that he might look a little bit scared in the video, but that he's not scared at all. He just left the vet and was still shaking off some of that drowsiness. He was apparently not drowsy enough to notice the lack of a pup cup.

Related: Newfoundland’s Big ‘Puppy Dog Eyes’ During Grooming Could Win All the Treats

Chancy usually gets Pup Cups: he has some issues and spends a lot of time at the vet. She must've genuinely forgotten, and he took matters into his own hands. It seems like he really did just drink the cold foam!

I don't know if she kept going with the refresher after that or not. Those things are expensive! If drinking mom's cold foam wasn't enough, he went on to later defy the doctor's orders:

@chancythetrickdog

Plz don’t tell my vet 🙃 #dogtraining #sillygoose #positivereinforcement #caudaequina #painindogs

I know his mom is so tired. No one has more energy than a dog who's supposed to be taking it easy!

Cold Foam Is Fine For Dogs

Luckily for Chancy (though unluckily for Mom's drink), he's going to be just fine. Cold foam is basically just loose whipped cream, and while not great for dogs, it's not going to harm them.

If you are going to let them have some, make sure it's plain, sweet cream cold foam. Flavorings can upset their stomachs. Additionally, make sure you only offer them a little bit: dairy isn't great for dogs in large quantities.

Golden Retriever Brothers Turn Post-Water Cleanup Into a Group Project

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 8:55am

For most dogs, drinking water is a solo task that’s done without needing to rely on anyone else, other than their caretaker, who has to ensure they have access to water. But sibling pups don’t normally involve each other when they’re looking to quench their thirst. However, scrolling through TikTok, I’ve since learned that it’s not a universal given that drinking water is a solo task.

In a new video, a pair of Golden Retriever brothers seems to believe hydration should be a team effort, and a little strategizing is needed to get the most out of each fill of their water dish. It’s coordinated and weird, yet unexpectedly wholesome. Take a look!

@mmxtscicuk791

물 먹을 땐 물만 먹어 사레들렸잖아😂

♬ original sound - bekah_↗_🔑

TikToker @mmxtscicuk791 shared a video of their two beautiful Golden Retrievers, a sibling pair who you can tell right away really love each other and are best friends, pretty much inseparable.

Named Eddie and Mango, this brother pair would convince anyone that having two Goldens in the family would make life infinitely better, because their relationship is so cute. They love to play together, take naps together, tease each other, and help each other out when they need an extra paw.

And from watching their videos, we learn that no task needs to be done solo, not when they have a bestie to lean on. And one thing these two tag team on is drinking water. Not only are they each other's cheerleaders to ensure they're staying well hydrated, but they also help with the drips dogs get after drinking from a water bowl. Their hair dips into the bowl, and when they've quenched their thirst, their faces are all wet. And that's where their sibling love comes into play. No water drop goes unsipped, and neither pup leaves the water with a wet face.

"When you eat water, you eat water," the caption says, according to TikTok's auto-translator.

In the comments, hundreds of people shared how they felt about this video and this duo of siblings who would do anything for each other.

Some comments include, "Bro prefers secondhand water," "Goldens just do it for the love of the game," "Golden Retrievers are honestly the best animals," and "The fact that they don’t find this behavior bizarre."

Golden Retrievers Do Teamwork Well

These two brothers are so funny with each other, and who knew you would benefit from teamwork to drink water, right? According to the experts, Golden Retrievers are good at teamwork and working in general.

According to the American Kennel Club, Goldens can be really helpful members of a team, no matter the task. Plus, having a job for a Golden is a great way to keep them happier and healthier, since they were bred to work, and keeping them motivated and engaged in a task promotes positive mental stimulation.

The site explains that Goldens have served as guides for the blind and for search-and-rescue teams, as well as in hunting and field work. Their puppy-like outlook on life and eagerness to please make them work hard and love what they're doing. Yes, even if that's helping each other out by licking water off their faces.

Pomeranian Turns Into 'Real-Life Snowball' in the Cutest Clip We've Ever Seen

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 8:20am

When you step out into the rain or snow, the elements can wreak havoc on your hair. Fortunately, for one Pomeranian who is blessed with lots of fur, he looks even cuter when dotted with snowflakes.

In an adorable clip uploaded from TikTok, a Pomeranian named Keanu, who goes by KeKe, is enjoying a recent snowfall and looking his best while doing it! Take a look at this little snowball and prepare to swoon!

Viewers love this little cutie and had fun speculating on what else he looks like in the snow.

"Powdered donut!" one person said.

"A perfect fluffy circle 🥰❄️," another commented.

"I thought it was strange the first time I noticed my Pom baby shivering from the cold. But they do get cold, too, so I got him snow booties!" another pet parent shared.

Well, KeKe's parents gave booties a try, and here's how that worked out:

We love that they tested out the boots even if it is "hilarious and sad at the same time," as Keke's family notes in the caption.

Do Pomeranians Mind the Cold?

It might look like KeKe has come straight from the salon. That's because Pomeranians have an undercoat, which acts as insulation and may explain why this pup looks more chill than chilled in the snow.

Interestingly, that double coat keeps them comfortable in both hot and cold weather and guards against UV rays and extreme temperatures. So it's important to never shave it. Instead, Pomeranians should receive regular grooming every four to six weeks.

Of course, if there's a drastic shift in the weather, a Pomeranian's grooming needs may change.

More than keeping them looking cute, as KeKe certainly does, good grooming habits keep pets healthy.

We hope KeKe warmed up once he got back indoors. Still, there's nothing like feeling the wind in your hair, er, fur, to make you feel invigorated, and dare we say, a bit like a supermodel!

Golden Retriever’s Post-Grooming Face Is Pure Betrayal

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 7:55am

Golden Retrievers are famous for being happy puppers about basically everything, which is why Zebby’s post-grooming pouty sulk feels so dramatic. Fresh from the groomer, this floofy Golden Retriever is sitting in the car looking deeply betrayed, as if he has personally been wronged by shampoo. His fur is spotless, extra poofy, and probably smells like cake and sunshine, yet his expression says, “I trusted you.”

Dogs often act a little off after grooming because they’ve lost their familiar stink and routine, which can be surprisingly stressful for them. For a social breed like a Golden Retriever, suddenly smelling like lavender cupcakes instead of “authentic backyard essence” can feel like a full identity crisis. Zebby is clean, soft, and objectively very handsome, but none of that matters when your dignity has been rinsed down the drain.

@zebbythegolden

I trusted you people #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok #funnydogs

♬ original sound - Zebby The Golden Retriever

The hilariously cute clip shared by @zebbythegolden shows Zebby staring out the window with a pout so powerful it could qualify as emotional blackmail. His freshly fluffed coat makes him look like a living plush toy, which only heightens the tragedy unfolding on his face. One viewer joked, “He said, Mom, no, I did not want to be handsome today,” while another insisted, “They got all my good stink off,” which honestly feels like the real issue here.

Related: Golden Retriever Going Candle Shopping Like a Scent Sommelier Is Everything

Other commenters were equally sympathetic. “Poor guy, it’s so hard being handsome,” one person wrote, while another declared he clearly needs a pup cup immediately. Someone else said this is exactly the same sass their dog gives after every grooming appointment, which suggests Zebby is part of a larger union of mildly offended clean dogs. Personally, every time my dog comes home freshly groomed, I cannot stop smelling him like a weirdo at Bath & Body Works, so I do understand why they look at us with suspicion.

How To Make Going To the Groomer a Postive Experience for Your Pup Small dog at the groomer.

Helping your dog feel comfortable with grooming starts long before the appointment. Regular brushing at home, gentle handling of paws and ears, and positive reinforcement can make professional grooming feel less scary. Bringing familiar treats or a favorite toy can also help your pup associate the experience with good things.

Many groomers recommend scheduling appointments at quieter times of day, especially for sensitive dogs, so the environment feels calmer. Most importantly, give your pet extra love afterward. Praise, playtime, or a special treat can help replace that “I have been betrayed” feeling with “OK, fine, this wasn’t so bad.”

Foster Shih-Tzu's Little Bursts of Energy After Sleeping Are Downright Adorable

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 7:10am

Well-known animal advocate Isabel Klee continues to care for her latest foster dog, a Shih-Tzu named Raven. The precious pooch needed surgery to have a large mass removed and has been coming out of her shell throughout her recovery.

Though Raven gets in a lot of shut-eye, the canine cutie clearly enjoys some rushes of adrenaline and finds fun ways to get her energy out.

In the TikTok from @simonsits, Raven napped in her dog bed as Klee gave an update on her progress, describing her as the "easiest, most easygoing dog on the face of the planet."

"Most of the day, she is sleeping the day away in this very fuzzy little bed," Klee explained. "Throughout the day, she does have these spurts of energy, which are just so cute... you have no idea when it's going to happen."

The foster mom captured various clips of Raven's energetic mode to show the canine cutie in action. The montage featured Raven jumping, playing, barking, and prancing around as her tail wagged nonstop. She even tried to play with Klee's feet as she walked toward the fur baby, inventing her own little game. Sometimes toys were involved in her antics, though Raven didn't need any help having fun.

Raven Has 'Completely Changed' Since Surgery

Raven was suffering from a one-pound mass that turned out to be a low-grade mast cell tumor. Testing revealed that the cancer hadn't spread, and Raven was given a clean bill of health after the mass was removed. Since then, the Shih-Tzu has been thriving. Followers noted the change in the foster pup since her surgery.

"If I hadn’t been following Raven from the beginning, you’d have a hard time convincing me that this is the same dog. Wow," one remarked.

"How she’s completely changed since getting that tumor removed is just amazing to see," another pointed out.

"Her little Grinch toes are my favorite. She’s absolutely exploding out of her shell!" a follower gushed.

"She's such a great dancer — I almost forgot she had a massive tumor on her. She was born to tippy tap!" someone posted.

Raven is blossoming under Klee's care and shows no signs of slowing down.

6 Dog Adoption Red Flags: Expert Trainer Tips

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 5:10am

It's tempting to walk into an animal shelter and want to adopt every dog (and cat, too). But before bringing home a new furry companion, it’s important to make sure the one you want is truly the right fit for your lifestyle. That means recognizing potential red flags when adopting a dog, including a shelter dog’s behavior, energy level, grooming needs, and overall care requirements. If you’re a first-time dog owner or simply excited to grow your pet family, it’s easy to overlook important dog adoption warning signs—or not know what to look for in the first place. To help you make a confident, informed decision, we rounded up six key dog adoption red flags, according to a professional trainer.

"As a trainer, I am always looking for ways to set a rescue dog up for success," states Shannon Kenny, CPDT-KA, a professional dog trainer with Woofz, a puppy and dog training app. Kenny explains that prospective dog parents can use the same thought process to find the furry friend that's right for them. "If you’re able to evaluate what your current lifestyle is like, what you’re willing to change and what you value, then it’s much easier to choose the perfect pet match," Kenny shares. "It will also greatly reduce the risk of frustration, burnout or rehoming later."

Kenny recommends doing some homework before visiting a shelter to improve your chances of a successful rescue dog adoption. "Before you go to a shelter, take a close look at your daily routine, energy level, work schedule, living space and support system," Kenny shares. "Think about how much time you can commit to training, exercise, grooming and enrichment. What kinds of dog behaviors would you find difficult to manage? Having a clear picture of your expectations makes it easier to choose a dog whose needs align with your life and help you know what are red flags for you." With all that in mind, here are a few common red flags Kenny says you should look for when adopting a dog.

Many pet parents assume that dog adoption red flags only refer to obvious behavior problems, such as aggression or biting. However, successful dog adoption goes beyond basic dog behavior issues. It’s just as important to consider your home environment, lifestyle, schedule and experience level to ensure long-term compatibility.

Below, Kenny shares these expert dog adoption tips to help prospective pet parents identify potential challenges and choose the best dog for their lifestyle and family.

1. The dog isn't friendly

Knowing if a rescue dog is aggressive or not is important when you're bringing home a shelter dog or any dog for that matter. It's natural to dream of your first pet and the dog you have fallen for at the shelter will become fast friends. Or, you may hope this dog is the first of many pets you'll adopt. However, shelters may tell you that the dog needs to be the "king or queen of the castle," which is code for "they don't want any fur siblings." That lack of other-pet compatibility can be a red flag.

"Some households may be able to make this work with careful, slow introductions and management strategies for safety," Kenny says. "It’s important to be realistic about the time commitment and amount of patience that this situation requires. For some multi-pet households, long-term management or professional support from a trainer may be necessary."

You need to also understand that dog behavior can vary depending on the type of animal involved. Some dogs may get along well with other dogs but not cats, or vice versa. During the dog adoption process, be specific about the pets you already have to ensure the best match.

2. The breed of dog has high exercise needs

When adopting a dog, one of the biggest factors to consider is whether your lifestyle aligns with a breed’s exercise requirements. This can be a major red flag if there’s a mismatch, because dogs with high energy levels that don’t get enough physical activity are more likely to develop behavior problems.

"Athletic dogs with high exercise needs will require more than a quick loop around the block," Kenny states. "While there are other ways to exercise a dog that don’t require physical activity, like puzzle toys and training, it’s still a key component in meeting a dog’s needs. This doesn’t always make a dog a poor fit, but dog owners must be prepared to adjust their routine or utilize outside help."

In other words, putting a dog walker on your payroll may be necessary or enrolling your new dog in daycare. "It’s important to remember that if a dog’s needs aren’t met, they can develop undesirable behaviors that may be difficult to manage," Kenny says. Due to this, if your activity level doesn’t match your potential new dog’s needs, you should think about the reality of what you will do before moving forward with the dog adoption process.

3. The dog breed needs a fenced-in yard, and you live in an apartment

Before adopting a rescue dog, it’s important to consider a breed’s space needs if they are a large dog, especially if you live in an apartment. "This can be a red flag because a dog that requires a fenced-in yard may be big, have high energy or leash-reactive behaviors, potentially leading to behavioral issues," Kenny reveals.

Living in an apartment doesn’t automatically rule out adopting any dog, though, you should put a dog's needs first. "Apartment living can absolutely work for many dogs, but it requires very intentional planning and a realistic perspective of what the dog owner is comfortable handling," Kenny clarifies. "As an example, I have a herding breed—a Cardigan Welsh Corgi—and live in an apartment, but I make sure to bring her on hikes, doggy play dates, training sessions and puzzle toys as frequently as time allows."

4. The dog has separation anxiety

When it comes to dog adoption tips, our expert says if a dog you want to adopt has separation anxiety, it could be a red flag. Though havng a dog who is emotionally attached to you isn’t always a dealbreaker when adopting a dog, it’s stll important to be honest about your ability to manage it—especially if you spend long hours away from home for work or other commitments.

"True separation anxiety is a panic disorder," Kenny states. "It is often dangerous for a dog suffering from it to be left alone. This can be impossible to manage for a dog owner who doesn’t have a flexible schedule or access to help, such as a family member, friend, dog sitter and daycare."

It's also crucial to understand the prognosis for separation anxiety before bringing a dog with it home. "Typically, separation anxiety does not go away on its own and will require structured training, often with professional guidance," Kenny reports. Being prepared for this behavioral challenge is a key part of responsible dog adoption and ensuring a successful match between you and your new pet.

5. The dog needs professional grooming

Finding the right rescue dog for your family can be challenging, which is why paying attention to dog adoption warning signs is so important. One key factor is a dog’s grooming needs. While all dogs require regular brushing and nail trims, some dogs need much more intensive care—beyond what an at-home spa day can provide. However, this one isn't a dealbreaker for everyone.

"Some dogs have more intensive grooming requirements than others, and it is unfortunately not optional," Kenny notes. "Dog owners should be honest with themselves about whether or not grooming fits into their lifestyle and budget."

Considering a dog’s grooming needs upfront is an essential part of adopting a dog responsibly and ensuring a successful match for both pet and owner.

6. The shelter staff suggests a dog needs an experienced parent

The shelter staff often suggests if a dog may need an experienced parent or not, which is an important consideration for anyone adopting a dog, esepcially rookie pet parents. Dog trainers reveal that people should keep this in mind during the dog adoption process as it could be a red flag about the dog you want. After all, shelter dog behavior can differ from dog to dog.

“Typically, if the animal shelter staff recommends a dog for an experienced owner, it often indicates that the dog has specific behavioral needs or requires careful management, training, and proper handling,” Kenny explains. “It can also mean the dog has higher exercise requirements.”

This requirement doesn’t necessarily rule out a first-time adopter. “It may just mean that a rookie pet parent will need to do some research or reach out for extra support, such as consulting a dog trainer,” Kenny adds.

Feisty Corgi Backs It Up on Camera—His Shoulder Check Has Everyone Screaming

Mon, 03/02/2026 - 3:17am

You know how some people just have 'IT' from day one? They don't need to practice or figure out who they are—they just showed up already knowing their entire vibe.

That's Walnut the fluffy Pembroke Welsh Corgi. This dog arrived knowing exactly who and what he was. Awesome.

There's this TikTok where he's backing it up down the hallway while "Boat" by Trim plays. Already great Corgi content. But then—and this is the key moment—Walnut stops halfway, looks back over his shoulder, and makes sure his human's capturing it all. Honestly, what's the point of all this adorableness if no one's watching?

@walnutthefluffycorgi

Walnut understands social media better than most people.

Corgi fans in the comments cannot handle the cuteness.

"Corgi B 🔥🔥," one fan bestowed upon Walnut his unofficial nickname.

"Are you filming, Mom?!" captured exactly what that look meant.

Related: Dachshund's Annoyed Reaction to Someone Entering His Personal Space Is the Best

Even Milk-Bone noticed: "Walnut knew who he was from a young age." No identity crisis for this Corgi. Just pure confidence from day one.

"Corgis are always up to something," observed another Corgi fan.

The support came pouring in: "DON'T STOP, GET IT, GET IT!" Full encouragement for the performance.

The thing is that Walnut's not just randomly backing up. There's intention and style here. And that coy over the shoulder check basically asks, "Are we recording or what?"

His confidence level? Absolutely through the roof. His execution? We can't find a single flaw.

Pembroke Welsh Corgis Are Known for Their Bold, Playful Personalities

Here's what you need to understand about Corgis, these dogs have huge personalities crammed into tiny little bodies with those short legs.

Their entire purpose used to be herding cattle in Wales. Massive cows that could easily step on them. So Corgis had to develop an "I'm in charge here" attitude just to survive their workday. Size? Completely irrelevant. Confidence? Maximum.

That boldness Walnut's got going? Standard issue for the breed. Corgis are intelligent, energetic, feisty and self-aware. They know they're cute and they've figured out how to weaponize it.

Don't let those stubby little legs fool you. Corgis can hustle. They're fast, they're coordinated, and apparently, they can back it up down a hallway on beat while monitoring camera angles. Multi-tasking champions at their finest.

Attention is their validation. That shoulder check? Walnut wasn't being vain—okay maybe a little—but mostly he was doing what Corgis do. They want your undivided attention. Performance quality goes through the roof when there's an audience watching.

Their herding background also means they're hyper aware of everything happening around them. Walnut making sure the camera's rolling isn't just about his vanity. It's instinctual. Corgis always know where everyone is and what's going on.

Corgis have been working alongside humans in Wales for literally over a thousand years. They're loyal, loving, and occasionally they'll get dramatic when the moment requires it.

Walnut's just being a Corgi. Showing off a little and entertaining the most. Double checking if anyone's paying attention. At the end of the day, absolutely crushing whatever he's doing.

That over-the-shoulder check? It tells you everything you need to know. Walnut was aware. He verified. Then, he kept going.

Walnut is pure 'Corgi B' perfection. Don't stop. Get it. Get it, indeed.

This $6 Target Wipe Clears Tear Stains Better Than Premium Brands, According to Pet Parents

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 10:50pm

Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Let's face it- even after a refreshing bath, our pups need some touch-up. For some, it's every couple of days. While others only need a wipe down after a romp outdoors.

Then there are the pups who need almost daily maintenance. Whether they suffer from eye stains or yeast overgrowth in their ears, a wipe down tends to happen daily. Often, the idea of washing their face every day can be overwhelming, which is where Target's affordable wipes come in handy.

Kindfull Ears, Eyes and Tears Dog Wipes, $5.99 at Target

The Ears, Eyes, and Tears Dog Wipes from Kindfull are a lifesaver for many of the pup parents with high-needs doggos. Tear stains can pop up quickly after a bath, and these wipes remove them with ease. Pet parents even say that the Kindfull wipes kept tear stains away better than other wipes. One writes, "Over the years, I’ve tried different wipes for my dog’s eyes. Shih Tzus tend to have issues with their eye area. This is hands down the best way to keep a white dog’s eye area nice and clean."

The fragrance-free cloths come in a 60-pack for $5.99 and are formulated to work with your pup's natural pH, with ingredients like chamomile and aloe vera extracts to soothe your pup's skin.

On top of using them to wipe away pesky tear stains, you can also use them to clean inside your pup's ears. If your pup is prone to ear buildup or has yeasty ears due to allergies, these are a quick and easy way to keep them clean.

My German Shepherd has been having a hard time with his ears ever since he had a double ear infection a couple of months ago. He despises ear washes, and I can't say that I blame him. I'm sure it's not fun to have cold liquid shot into your ear canal.

These wipes have been a total lifesaver for daily ear maintenance. He doesn't seem to mind them being stuck in his ears. Honestly, I think he enjoys it, and frankly, so do I. The process of getting a German Shepherd to do anything they don't want to is a hassle and a half. Anything that improves the experience is a win in my book.

These multi-purpose wipes don't just stop at the ears and eyes, though. Other pet parents say that they have even used them to wipe their dog's paws after playing outside. They are certainly gentle enough, and the aloe will add some moisture to their dry pads. You can use the wipes for pups of all ages, including puppies. Their multi-use capabilities and affordable price point make them a must-have for your grooming tool kit.

Despite having access to comfortable couches, soft beds, and perfectly acceptable sleeping arrangements, some Golden Retrievers invent their own definition of comfort. And that definition apparently includes wedging themselves into the most questionable corner available, sort of half-lying down and taking a nap.

In this clip, we meet a Golden Retriever who ignores every other perfectly cozy place to take a nap, maybe because he doesn’t care, or he was so tired that he just fell asleep wherever he was. He looks pretty content, but we’re definitely left a little confused.

TikTok user @goldenretriebear shared a video of their adorable but silly Golden Retriever, who was completely tired out and thought he couldn't make it another step to his bed, a couch, his parents' bed, or even just the middle of the floor. Instead, falling asleep half sitting up, wedged against the wall and a closed door was the best and only place for his nap that day.

In the caption, Bear's parents joked about their "broken" dog, who looked like he was the most tired he's ever been in his whole life, and he just needed to fall asleep then and there.

In the comments, people joked about this silly sight of Bear zonked right out.

One person wrote, "Oooo, a nice cold floor AND a cold wall pillow? He has cracked the code!"

Another shared, "Literally all the options and they will ALWAYS choose the weirdest position on a cold, hard surface."

Someone else added, "Do they not get stiff necks? I always wonder!"

Other comments included, "We feel very seen right now," "Nah, you’re just squishy! Hi new friend," "Ahh, how sweet," "Typical, isn't it?" and "NGL, that looks pretty comfee."

How Much Exercise Does a Golden Retriever Need?

Bear looks like he's had a hard and heavy day, and he's really too tired to catch up on sleep, no matter where he lands. For a puppy to get this tired, he must have had a lot of exercise, and a Golden Retriever has some daily exercise needs to keep them at their healthiest and happiest.

According to My Golden Retriever Puppies, adult and senior Goldens need approximately 20 to 30 minutes of exercise two times a day, but they're also happy to do any sort of activity that you want to do whether it be just going for a walk, a hike, a swim, visiting a dog park, playing Frisbee or any other sport—they're always game.

And hopefully, when they get back from their fun exercise with you, they'll have a peaceful sleep like Bear is having.

Maine Coon Cat’s Fur ‘Glowing Red’ in Sunshine Is Pure Gorgeous Goodness

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 8:00pm

Our pets sitting in the sunshine is one of life's simplest pleasures. Even though they're gorgeous in normal lighting, there's something special about them sitting in the sunshine. It's so beautiful, and it takes their fur to another level!

If you don't know what I'm talking about (or even if you do), you need to see this Maine Coon. His fur is just so pretty; he's a black cat, but he glows bright red in the sunlight!

@grimyetirajamc

Grim is red #mainecoonsoftiktok #bigcats

♬ my angel - Adrianne Lenker

Grim the Maine Coon is the kind of cat I picture sitting on a Disney villain's lap. You know what I mean? They're speaking super slowly, stroking their cat like they don't actually care about anything. That's Grim:

  1. Large
  2. In charge.
  3. In possession of several extra toes.

Grim is the big brother of a trio of Maine Coons, including Yeti, a white one, and Raja, a true orange cat. The three of them together make an awesome Calico-colored trio!

Cats Love the Sunshine

Cats really love to be warm; it's a survival mechanism. They seek out both warmth and good ways to keep it; that's why you'll find them:

  1. On top of the dryer.
  2. On top of a radiator.
  3. Curled up in piles of clothes or blankets.
  4. Lying around in spots with lots of sunlight.

Cats are naturally drawn to the sunshine, which is why it's a good idea to put their beds/trees in places with lots of natural light. Otherwise, they might jump up where they're not supposed to!

Cat sitting on a chair.

Do Cats Actually Need Sunlight?

Cats may like the sunlight, which is why a lot of people let their cats outdoors. They believe it's better for them to get natural sunlight, and while they might like it, they don't need it.

Cats do not absorb much, if any, Vitamin D from the sunlight. Instead, they get Vitamin D and other essential vitamins/minerals directly from their food. A cat could, technically, never see the sunlight in their life and live perfectly happily.

If you do want to let your cat outside for some sunshine, you need to be safe about it. Try:

  • A catio.
  • A stroller.
  • A leashed walk.

Grim gets his sunshine on a comfy chair. That's truly how life should be!

Dachshund's Annoyed Reaction to Someone Entering His Personal Space Is the Best

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 7:22pm

You know that feeling you get when you've finally got the whole bed to yourself, you're completely stretched out, absolutely comfortable, and then someone has the absolute audacity to get in the bed and disturb your peace? If you're a mom, you know what I mean. Noodle the Dachshund gets it.

There's a TikTok going viral where Noodle's mom climbs into bed—her own bed, mind you—and this tiny wiener dog immediately gives her the most exasperated head turn you've ever seen. The caption says it all: "When he's got almost an entire king-sized bed to himself, but gets annoyed the second you enter his personal space."

The reaction is everything. Noodle doesn't bark. He doesn't move away. Noodle just turns his head like "seriously?" and radiates complete disappointment.

@noodleandtilde

People in the comments are living for it.

"He's like 'Jeez, I can't have anything to myself in this house,'" wrote one person channeling Noodle's internal monologue.

"Can I get some privacy in this damn house?" added another fan, perfectly capturing his energy.

"The audacity!🤣" summed up his entire vibe.

The consensus? "That is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Give him the whole bed at this point. He deserves it."

One person noticed one particularly adorable detail: "The paw slap😩🤍" Noodle apparently added a little paw protest too.

Dachshunds Love Cuddling But Also Value Their Alone Time

The funny thing about Dachshunds is that they're usually total snuggle bugs. Most of them will happily plant themselves on your lap or feet any chance they get. They're super affectionate and love being close to their humans.

But here's the thing: they also need their space. Sometimes too much of a good thing is just too much. Dachshunds like having the option to sneak off for a little private time or quiet nap alone whenever they feel like it. They're very social when they want to be but, it's always on their own terms.

Part of why they love burrowing into blankets and couch cushions comes from their hunting ancestry. They were literally bred to hunt animals in burrows, so digging into soft spaces is the most natural thing to them. It would be weirder if they didn't dig.

Not every Dachshund is a cuddler either. Many prefer showing their affection through play, walks, or snack time. And that's totally fine. It' s about the quality of the time spend together not the quantity. Forcing your dog to cuddle when they're not feeling it is never a good idea.

The balance is what makes them great pets. They're loving without being overly clingy (most of the time). They want affection, but they also want their personal space respected.

Noodle's just out here living his truth. He had the whole bed. Mom showed up uninvited. The audacity, indeed.

DIY Groom Turns Goldendoodle Into a Recently Divorced Dad

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 7:20pm

I don’t know how to explain this except to say this dog looks like he just got a one-bedroom apartment, three decorative pillows he didn’t choose, and a suddenly very complicated relationship with the thermostat. The vibe is not “fresh groom.” The vibe is “I’ll just sit here in silence for a while.”

According to the caption, the dog’s pet parent's sister decided to take grooming into her own hands and immediately regretted everything. The clip plays to the haunting song 'House' from the new Wuthering Heights movie, which somehow makes the whole thing feel less like a haircut and more like the beginning of a psychological thriller. When the Goldendoodle slowly looks at the camera, it’s pure middle-aged dad energy. Disappointed. Confused. Possibly about to ask who touched the air conditioning. Someone hold me.

@skyler50867 summed it up perfectly with: “I’m so scared,” which is fair because this dog looks like he just opened an electricity bill that made him sit down. One commenter said he looks like Larry David, which, once you see it, you cannot unsee it. Another admitted, “I don’t know how else to put this, but my entire body laughed,” same, honestly, same. Someone else wrote, “Why does your dog look like my dad?” and I’m not saying I sent this to three people with zero context, but I’m also not not saying that.

Even professional groomers chimed in. One said it was only funny because they weren’t the one being asked to fix it, while another confessed to being terrified. Multiple people pointed out that groomers are worth every penny, which this video may now serve as a public service announcement for.

My Pomeranian once got a sanitary trim that made him look like he was wearing tiny chaps, so I cannot judge too harshly. He forgave us eventually, but the trust was damaged.

Professional groomers do far more than make dogs look cute. They’re trained to work safely with sharp tools, handle different coat types, avoid sensitive areas, and recognize skin issues or health concerns that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Breeds like Goldendoodles require especially careful grooming because their coats can mat tightly against the skin, making home haircuts both difficult and risky. An uneven cut can also affect temperature regulation and comfort.

In short, grooming is one of those things that looks easy until you try it yourself and suddenly realize you’ve created a dog who looks like he pays property taxes and sighs a lot.

Family’s Older Golden Retriever Immediately Adopts the New Puppy as Her Little Sister

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 7:10pm

A precious Golden Retriever named Pearl is melting hearts after welcoming the family’s new puppy, Poppi. Wearing matching “big sis” and “lil sis” bandanas, Pearl brought the puppy a toy, and the little one took to her instantly. It was a moment that forged their bond and left a lasting impression on their human, who gushed about Pearl, "How sweet is she? I can't believe she brought her a toy and [was] so patient with her!"

♬ Sparks - Coldplay

Fans of the pair agreed:

"Awwww so precious," commented one.

"I think I need a sister," admitted another.

According to their account, which incidentally calls them "The Golden Girls" (dying!), these two have become bestie goals. They are joined at the hip, going for walks, dips in the pool, and playing together like sisters from other misters. It's a pure delight watching their sweet relationship unfold.

The More the Merrier?

Pearl and Poppi's introduction is a best-case scenario, but it takes care and planning to welcome another pup to your family. Adding another dog sounds adorable in theory — built-in best friend, instant playmate, less guilt when you leave the house. If you're thinking about bringing another dog into your home, there are certain things you should consider.

Timing matters a lot more than people realize. Ideally, your current dog should already be trained, bonded to you, and past the chaotic puppy phase (usually at least 1–2 years old). Raising two young dogs together is much harder than it sounds, and they may bond to each other instead of you. You also want to think about personality and energy level — dogs with similar play styles tend to get along best. A mellow senior dog probably doesn’t want a 10-week-old tornado.

Also be honest about logistics: Do you have time to train again? Can you walk two dogs at once? Can you handle double the vet bills, food, grooming, and mess?

And a big one — don’t get a second dog to “fix” your first dog. A nervous or reactive dog doesn’t magically improve with a puppy; more often, you just end up with two stressed dogs.

When you do bring a new dog home, the introduction matters. Start in a neutral place on leash, keep interactions short and calm, and supervise constantly at first. (Adorable matching bandanas can't hurt either lol.) Separate feeding, separate downtime, and lots of reassurance for your original dog are key. Some pairs click immediately, but many take weeks or even months to settle.

The goal isn’t instant friendship. It’s peaceful coexistence first — friendship usually follows.

Ostrich Leading Giraffe on ‘Wild Goose Chase’ Totally Runs the Town

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 7:00pm

I love birds. I have several. I have four, actually, and they all despise me, but I love them anyway. If there's one type of bird that you would never get me within 500 feet of, though, it's an ostrich. No way!

Recently, one ostrich totally proved my point. Someone caught him chasing a giraffe around their shared enclosure, and he was 100% standing on business:

@margothberry

Literally multiple times a day for 5 days I witnessed it happening lol poor giraffe buddy 🦒 #fyp #disneyworld #disneysanimalkingdomlodge

♬ original sound - goldenbiscuit.tx

I love that @margothberry got to witness this from her actual hotel room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Just go ahead and lie around while our boy is out here fighting for his life! I'm sure he was totally fine, though, to be honest.

According to her, this happened multiple times every day. There is definitely something going on between them; maybe the giraffe accidentally plucked out one of the ostrich's leaves? Alternative, maybe he stepped on his talons?

Giraffes Are Scaredy-Cats

There are no follow-ups about these two, other than that it happened multiple times a day. Most likely, whenever this precious giraffe got near his feathered foe, things went south. That's not surprising.

Giraffe standing by some leaves.

Giraffes are known for being very goofy, but at the same time, they're quick to spook. They're very timid and cautious, often running away at the first sign of danger. Their instinct is always to run, not to fight, unless there's absolutely no way out.

Ostriches Are Fighters

Giraffes are "flight," and ironically, ostriches are "fight." They can run at very fast speeds, but they're quick to get defensive. Most of all, they're very territorial birds, and will often use their speed to charge at intruders until they go away.

When they really need to, ostriches will kick and claw at predators, though that's a last resort. They'd much rather show off their speed.

Clearly, that's what this giraffe was trying to do. It worked: I bet everyone in the habitat knows to stay away from him!

Kohl's Pawsome Interactive Puzzle Board Beats Cats' Boredom Blues

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 6:42pm

Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Cats are curious creatures. Fearless in their endeavor to investigate just about anything that catches their fancy (which is almost everything), their hunting instincts engage immediately: eyes laser-focused while they sniff, prowl, paw at and pounce on the latest novelty. Pet parents may not always appreciate this inquisitiveness around their belongings, which may be shredded or end up crashing to the floor. Even without the danger of broken objects, indoor cats, especially, need mental stimulation to satisfy that instinctive behavior and to reduce boredom and anxiety. Signs of boredom can include destructive behavior, excessive sleep, excessive weight gain, and lots of yowling or crying.

The Alilang Interactive Cat Puzzle Toy at Kohl's offers entertainment through its multisensory engagement, appealing to natural feline curiosity. The soft, scratch-resistant felt surface (dry clean only) satisfies the sense of touch for those cute little kitty pads. The many cutouts on top and around the box provide plenty of places to reach and grab. The jingle bell balls rolling around inside are extra fun, audible targets. It's the purr-fect problem-solving toy for your cat that will also help it to be more physically active.

"YES 100% necessary because you need to engage the cat," another Reddit user commented. "My cat rarely plays with passive toys. Dachshund's Humongous 'Paw Mitt's Will Have You Instantly Obsessed

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 6:10pm

My Dachshund-Miniature Pinscher mix is more Doxie than anything else. She has the long body and big attitude of the beloved Dachshund breed, though her slender legs and paws definitely resemble her Min Pin heritage.

Rocky the Dachshund must be a purebred since he has all the classic Doxie attributes. Still, his giant paws seem like he has Newfie or Saint Bernard in his bloodline.

@oliveandrocky

♬ Hungry Eyes (From "Dirty Dancing") - The Film Band

In the TikTok from @oliveandrocky, the canine cutie was lying on the couch getting in some relaxation time. He must've gotten a whiff of something savory and perked his head up to see if he could get some scraps.

"Please may I have some more cheese?" the caption read, reading Rocky's mind. His eyes seemed to be begging for any leftover bites.

Rocky's eyes were definitely adorable, but his paws would make anyone do a double-take. Those huge feet appeared mismatched for his body, almost like they belonged to a Great Dane or other massively large breed.

Followers noticed the size discrepancy and commented on the precious pooch's undeniably huge paws, while some lobbied for him to get some cheese.

"Love the mitts close up," one raved.

"Give him all the cheese and extra for his paws," another noted.

"Those paws," a follower remarked.

"There’s no resisting those eyes," someone gushed.

Breeds with Big Paws

If you research dog breeds with large paws, Dachshunds don't appear on the list. Large dog breeds are known for their giant feet that are in proportion to their bodies.

The Great Pyrenees has some of the biggest paws of all canines. This breed originated in the mountains of Europe and needed large paws to navigate rough terrain. Great Pyrenees were also used to protect sheep from wolves and used their paws to fight when necessary.

Related: 20-Year-Old Rescue Dachshund Brings His Own Blanket Everywhere and It's Adorable

Great Danes need large feet to support their humongous bodies. These gentle giants typically stand between 28 and 32 inches tall and weigh between 110 and 175 lbs, so those massive mitts are necessary.

The same rule applies to Newfoundlands, where this breed grows to approximately 26 to 28 inches tall and weighs between 100 and 150 pounds. Newfies have webbed paws, which make them excellent swimmers.

Other large-footed fur babies include the English Mastiff, Old English Sheepdog, Boxer, and Basset Hound. Dachshunds are usually absent from this ginormously-pawed roster, so Rocky must be just an adorable outlier.

Golden Retriever on Security Duty Gets Distracted by Her Own Feet

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 5:20pm

Every household needs a reliable protector, and this Golden Retriever technically holds the position of a watchdog or security guard. But she struggles to keep focus on what she’s supposed to be doing instead of what she would rather be doing with her time, and she’s very easily distracted.

In this video, we meet a Golden Retriever who appears to be ready for serious business until she notices her own feet. Suddenly, her task of security is forgotten, and she’s fully occupied elsewhere. She’s discovered the most fascinating thing she’s ever seen, and that’s where she’s putting all her deep focus. It’s silly and funny—take a look!

@sunnythegoldengirl18

On February 23, TikTok user @sunnythegoldengirl18 shared a video of an adorable Golden Retriever named Sunny, who is struggling to appear intimidating enough to be the chosen one to protect the home.

This clip is hilarious because she's just minding her own business on the couch doing her own thing, but it's what she's doing that makes the statement, "This is who we chose to protect our house," so hilarious.

She's chewing on her back foot as if it were a precious dog toy that she loves. It looks silly at first glance, like she has no idea that's her foot and hasn't clued in that she probably shouldn't be chewing on it.

Do Golden Retrievers Make Good Guard Dogs?

Sunny is such a cutie, and we can see that it's not hard for them to get distracted, which is one of the reasons the Golden Retriever isn't typically recommended as a security guard dog, according to the experts.

Dogster explains that the reason they're not typically used as guard dogs is that these pups are naturally not very aggressive and are actually overly friendly, happy to meet and greet anyone, which isn't ideal for a dog who is supposed to intimidate and deter someone from coming near.

That's not to say they can't be a good watchdog for the home with some training, of course. These dogs are very loyal to their family and don't tend to stress out in stressful situations (which is why they make great support dogs or working dogs), and they are very intelligent, which can be very helpful.

Senior Dachshund’s ‘Plea for Help’ Over Two New Puppies Is So Clear

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 5:00pm

Senior dogs and puppies are a delicate subject. You have to approach it with lots of caution, trust me. I brought a puppy home to my 10-year-old Boston Terrier, and he's the grumpiest old man you'd ever meet in your life.

One Dachshund is taking the addition of two new puppies in his home pretty hard. They're Dachshund puppies, which of course means they're just around causing chaos; meanwhile, he's saying a prayer and hoping for the best:

@motherofsausages

The shaking 😭 #dachshund

♬ som original - ju

The Mother of Sausages is making sure Mr. Elvis gets all he needs, don't worry. He just can't stand those kids, especially when they're trying to bite whatever's closest. There are some facts about Elvis that make this even funnier:

  1. He's 15 years old.
  2. He was literally there when these puppies were born.
  3. He is their uncle.

It just goes to show that you can definitely find your own family annoying sometimes. You love them anyway, even when you're wondering what you did to deserve this mess! That's something most of us can relate to.

Related: ‘Pretty Princess’ Dachshund Puppy’s Tantrum Is the Gentlest Chaos

Elvis was around when his sister, Bella, gave birth to six puppies just a few months ago. Now, though, they've decided to only keep two, but to Elvis's dismay, they're staying forever. He looks to his mom like, "...They're right behind me, aren't they?"

They are. They're always right behind him, causing a ruckus, and I wouldn't be surprised if they liked to bite on his ears from time to time. Luckily, at least his mom let him celebrate his birthday in peace... Almost:

@motherofsausages

Happy 15th Birthday to Elvis ❤️ He is the only dachshund that has seen every dog I ever had. He has followed me everywhere for the 10 years I’ve had him. He is the definition of a Good Boy 🖤

♬ Alright - Supergrass Dachshunds Are Overwhelming

The sausage sweethearts might be iconic, awesome pets, but they're also a lot to handle. They're definitely not for beginners, and they don't always handle change well. Bringing home a puppy to a Dachshund is rough.

The best things you can do in that situation are:

  1. Make sure the older dog has space to get away.
  2. Feed them separately.
  3. Don't bring the puppies on your older dog's walks/outings at first.

Senior dogs are also less energetic than puppies, and you need to make sure they aren't pushing themselves too hard. Luckily, Elvis is a stubborn king, and he will tattle to Mom when those puppies are getting rowdy!

Two Kittens Bopping Their Heads in Perfect Unison Is Weirdly Hilarious

Sun, 03/01/2026 - 4:20pm

I regret to inform you that “Take On Me” is apparently a mind control device, and these kittens have fully surrendered. The second that opening synth hits, something in your brain just goes, welp, guess we’re bopping now. Resistance is futile. Productivity is canceled.

In the clip, a black-and-white foster kitten named Muffin starts moving her head in perfect little rhythmic nods, like a tiny office worker agreeing with everything in a meeting she did not read the agenda for. Then the camera pans… and there’s Biscuit. Also bopping. Also synchronized. At this point, I was already smiling like an idiot, but the reveal of the second kitten pushed it into full giggle territory. How many times did you watch this? Yes.

@moosegoosefosters

Wait for it…. #funnyvideo #funny #fyp #fypシ #fypシ゚viral

♬ Take on Me - a-ha

TikTok user @moosegoosefosters captioned the video, “Wait for it,” which is both accurate and slightly evil, because you think you understand the joke and then the second kitten appears like a sequel nobody asked for, but everyone needed.

Viewers reported immediate side effects. One person wrote, “I was like, where is the third one? And then realized it was me. I WAS THE THIRD ONE.” Another admitted, “Why did I start moving my head like that, too, tho?” which is extremely relatable because I absolutely caught myself doing the same thing. Someone else said the first kitten made them smile, but the second made them cackle, and honestly, yes. Samesies.

Also, that song is just aggressively catchy. You hear it once, and suddenly you’re mentally roller-skating through a mall in 1987 wearing something deeply questionable. My Maine Coon, Meatball, once watched a feather toy swing for 20 minutes straight without blinking, so clearly cats and hypnotic motion go together like chaos and broken glassware.

Why Cats Love Cat Dancers @dollythecalico

we already had to order a replacement #cats #catsoftiktok #cat #catdancer #cattoys

♬ Baby Elephant Walk - Henry Mancini & His Orchestra

Cat dancer toys are basically cat crack on a wire, and my Maine Coon, Meatball, knows this with terrifying clarity. He knows exactly which cabinet they’re stored in, opens it himself like a tiny furry burglar, and then screams until someone produces the goods. If we ignore him, he just… keeps opening cabinets.

The reason they’re so irresistible is the movement. That thin wire makes the little paper bits flutter in a way that mimics real prey: fast, twitchy, unpredictable, impossible to ignore. It lights up every hunting instinct in their brains at once.

We actually have to limit how long we use it with Meatball because he goes so hard he starts panting and getting tired, which is both impressive and mildly concerning. He will absolutely not self-regulate. If he had his way, we would play until one of our arms fell off.

Short, intense sessions are usually best, especially for high-energy cats. It keeps them stimulated without exhausting them, and it prevents the toy from losing its novelty. Plus, it reduces the odds of your kitty staging a hissy fit when you try to put it away… though I make no promises.

Fostering helps shelters save lives by freeing up space for more animals in need. It also gives young kittens a safer, calmer environment to grow, socialize, and learn how to be tiny, functional members of society instead of feral gremlins.

Foster families often get the joy of watching shy kittens transform into confident little chaos beans ready for adoption. And yes, sometimes you fall in love and keep one. Or two. Or accidentally start referring to them as “the twins” even though they are not related and one is orange.
