Tiny Parrots Join in on Neighbor’s Late-Night Party With the Silliest Dance Moves

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 8:00am

If you've ever had noisy neighbors, you know how annoying it can be sometimes. While it's nice for people to have fun and be able to express themselves, when it's a pattern, it can get kind of annoying! Some might enjoy it, though...

Like these precious little Sun Conures, who were able to use their neighbors' late-night party as an excuse to stay up way past their bedtime. The music was just too good! They couldn't resist staying up to boogie:

@featherandfur

Next time just invite them please 😆 #parrotsoftiktok #birdslove #parrotlove #birdtok #dancingparrot

Bambi and Booja are two adorable Sun Conures living in a whole flock of birds. Their mom had managed to get everyone else to bed before the noise really started... But Bambi and Booja are troublemakers. Whenever they can, they're looking for an excuse to skirt bedtime.

Of course, she didn't want to ruin her neighbors' fun by telling them they were keeping her birds up past their bedtime. The only thing she could do was let the birds dance their little hearts out, and clearly, that's exactly what they did!

Related: Little Girl Helps Disabled Parrot ‘Feel Like She's Flying’ and She’s So Happy and Flappy

They had the most fun ever. That's a really high bar, too; their mom makes sure they have a lot of fun. She has to, or else they would probably get bored and fly off to the neighbors' house!

One of their favorite things is their Bird-kins (a play on the notorious Birkin bags). Recently, Bambi even let the world see what she keeps in hers... I wonder if she brings it to parties!

@featherandfur

What’s in Bambi’s BIRDKIN?!?!! Welcome to TikTok Premium 😆 #parrotsoftiktok #birdslove #parrotlove #birdtok #birkin

I mean, that's a pretty good bag. Snacks, a mirror, and a good book? That's about all I keep in my purse, too. She's just missing a good lip balm! Beak balm?

Birds Need Bedtimes

I have three Budgies, and they love to try to get out of going to bed. I'm strict with it, though: they're in bed, cage covered, sound off, room dark at 9:30 pm sharp. Actually, all of the pets whose bedtimes I can control go to bed at that time.

Birds need routine, not just when it comes to bedtime. They thrive with structure! Bedtime is very important, though, because making sure they get enough sleep will help make sure they stay happy and healthy. A good bedtime routine for a bird (no matter what breed of bird it might be) is:

  • Pick a time in the early-mid evening, depending on their wakeup time.
  • Refill their water.
  • Make sure they're in a low-traffic, quiet area of your home.
  • Cover the cage.
  • Turn all the lights off.
  • Optionally, you can put on white noise.

White noise will help drown out other noises in and around your home, helping them fall asleep and stay that way. Partying with the neighbors every once in a while won't hurt, though!

Previously 'Abused' Foster Dog Asks for First Belly Rub and We're Melting

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 7:10am

Many rescue dogs have a traumatic and abusive past and need lots of patience from their new families when they get adopted. These canines often don't fully open up until they've had the time to fully decompress and acclimate to their new environment. Even then, rescue pups still deal with a lot of fear and anxiety.

Isabel Klee is a seasoned animal advocate with over 30 foster dogs to her name. Her most recent rescue, Marmie, suffered from severe trauma and is now slowly coming out of her shell and beginning to trust.

@simonsits

I have no words 😭😭😭 @Muddy Paws Rescue

♬ Ballerina - Yehezkel Raz

Klee recently began fostering Marmie with the help of her fiancé, Jacob, and fur baby, Simon. She previously shared that the foster pup was experiencing certain everyday things for the first time, like toys and television. Klee was used to challenges when it came to foster dogs and had plenty of experience helping previously abused dogs slowly let their guard down.

The TikTok from @simonsits revealed that Marmie may just be starting to feel at home, where she gave a well-known sign of trust.

"You guys have to see what is happening right now," Klee said with a smile as she sat outside with her pups. "This is the first time Marmie has truly, like, given me her full, full belly."

Marmie was lying in the grass on her back in full stretch mode, with her tummy completely exposed and waiting to be rubbed.

"You feel safe," Klee raved as Marmie enjoyed a spa-like belly massage. "You feel so happy."

Why Do Dogs Show Their Belly?

Dogs get into that cozy position on their backs and show off their tummies for several reasons, including:

Related: Street Dog's 'Resilience' and 'Strength' Kept Her 6 Puppies Alive

  • Trust and comfort — This vulnerable position shows that your dog feels safe and secure.
  • Submission — The belly-up pose reveals that your dog isn't looking to challenge anyone's authority and wants a peaceful environment.
  • Playfulness and invitation — Some dogs roll on their backs in silliness and use the position as a sign they want to interact.
  • Attention seeking — Canines often lie on their backs as a request for attention and those beloved belly rubs.
  • Cooling down — Since there is significantly less fur on a dog's tummy, lying on their back helps lower their body temperature after exercise or on hot days.

Marmie may have been communicating all of those items on the list as she continues to thrive under Klee's care, where her foster mom noted, "This is the life you were always meant for."

Grumpy Pug’s Angry Reaction to Slow Feeder Has Everyone Laughing

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:33am

Miki, a Pug with a seriously charming grumpy attitude, is not happy. Sure, Pugs are known for their expressive faces and demeanor, but Miki isn’t happy for a very specific reason: his humans have done the unthinkable and given him his lunch in a (gasp!) slow feeder.

Designed for pups who need to shed a few pounds, or for dogs who can’t help but inhale their food as if they’re getting rewarded for eating as quickly as possible, slow feeders can help dogs eat at a slower pace or eat less. In a video shared to social media, Miki makes it very clear he’s not happy with his egg-shaped slow feeder.

Keep reading to see the hilarious video that has social media followers rushing to the comment section and pressing “play again” over and over again.

In the video shared to social media, a wide-eyed white Pug named Miki can be seen giving some major stink eye to an egg-shaped slow feeder. When one of his humans places the carved wood slow feeder in front of the cute but cranky canine, Miki at first stares down his humans and the slow feeder. With no signs of the slow feeder being taken away, Miki begins to bat his paws at the wooden egg to get his meal to come out of the object’s designated holes.

Social media followers were completely enamored with the Pug, who made his disdain for the egg-shaped slow feeder crystal clear.

One wrote, “He’s eating each morsel with a heart full of spite.” Another added, “I don’t know if he absolutely hates his slow feeder or if he loves it.”

“He def does NOT wanna work for his snacks,” commented one more.

“So adorable,” noted another, “yet so rage filled.”

While Miki makes it clear he’s not thrilled by the effort he’s going to have to go through to get his (undoubtedly well-earned) treats, he does quickly get to work to procure his food.

Miki takes no time figuring out how to get to his food. This Pug may be putting his current mood on display, but he’s also demonstrating his smarts, too. Way to figure it out so quickly, Miki. Enjoy your snack.

Golden Retriever's Unbelievable Reunion with Dolphin After a Year Is Mind-Blowing

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:22am

Tula, the Golden Retriever, was unexpectedly reunited with a dolphin who had befriended the pup the year before, and the video is truly amazing. While Tula and her family were hanging out by the water, the dolphin appeared, swimming intently alongside the family's dock and clearly looking for its long-lost canine pal. Tula recognized the dolphin, and all her mom could do was keep the dog from jumping into the water.

Tula's mom and fans agreed that the unlikely friendship was straight out of a movie – namely, Zeus and Roxann, which is (you guessed it), a film about a dog and a dolphin who become besties.

@morgiepb

♬ original sound - Morgiepb

Fans called the meeting "magical" and "amazing," and were convinced that the two animals were communicating. While we can't know whether this dolphin is the same one from the year before, it's clear these two have a special connection. Tula's excitement and the dolphin's curiosity are genuinely undeniable.

Not The First Time

It seems that Tula and her pal are following in the footsteps of other dog-dolphin friendships, like Gunner and Delta. A golden retriever named Gunner and a dolphin named Delta met at a Florida marine center when Gunner was just an 8-week-old puppy, and they immediately clicked.

Related: Rescue Pup Smiles Uncontrollably at Seeing His Dad After 36 Hours

Instead of barking or losing his mind (as one might expect), Gunner calmly watched Delta from the dock, which immediately caught the dolphin's attention. Delta—described as playful and curious—started swimming over to him, even bringing him toys like a dog when trying to make a new friend.

From there, the relationship grew naturally. Gunner learned to “play” with Delta from the dock, and over time, their interactions became a regular thing. Years later, even though they don’t see each other as often, they still recognize one another right away—and Delta is usually the first to swim over and say hello.

The takeaway is less about science and more about vibes: sometimes calm energy, curiosity, and a willingness to engage are all it takes—even across species, land, and water.

Border Collie Achieves 'Diamond' Status With Flawless Regency Dance

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 11:48pm

Some dogs have a hard time learning the sit command. This Border Collie? Strike the Border Collie just performed a full Bridgerton-inspired dance routine.

There's a TikTok from @the_trickstars where a Border Collie's executing what can only be described as choreographed Regency-era moves, and the caption reads "Had to do a dog version of the Bridgerton dance.. 🤣" which undersells how impressive this actually is.

Strike is spinning, weaving, performing on cue—she’s basically doing everything except wearing a ballgown. It's a full choreographed routine. Coordinated. Timed. Absolutley flawless.

@the_trickstars

Had to do a dog version of the Bridgerton dance.. 🤣 #bridgerton #dancingdog #dogdance #dogtricks #bordercollie

♬ 360 (Arr. For Cello Obligato and String Quartet) - Peter Gregson

The comments are a mix of awe and people comparing their own dogs' capabilities.

"Flawless, my dear" somebody wrote, channeling their inner Bridgerton character.

"This is brilliant" captured the general reaction.

"I can't even get my dog to sit" one person admitted, feeling the gap between their dog and this performance.

"We've found this season's diamond 💎" using the Bridgerton language for the season's standout debutante.

Related: French Bulldog Gets PetSmart Shopping Trip—'I Won't Rush Him, This Is His Sephora'

"Lord Puppington 🥹" someone dubbed the performer.

Then came the comparisons and reality checks: "My dog farts and looks at me like I did it." "My dog can steal food from my kids." "I showed this to my dog, she said it's AI." "My dog barks at fresh air."

But this Border Collie? She’s performing a multi-step choreographed dance routine like it's opening night at Britain’s Got Talent.

Border Collies Are Exceptionally Intelligent Dogs Who Excel at Learning Complex Sequences

Here's why this Border Collie's performance makes total sense: Border Collies are consistently ranked as one of the most intelligent dog breeds. They're working dogs bred for herding, which actually requires them to learn and execute complex commands, often at a distance. Obviously, she was made for dancing.

Teaching a dog to dance isn't just one trick—it's teaching multiple separate skills and then stringing them together into a dance routine. It’s just as complicated as it sounds. Spins, weaves, standing on hind legs, moving in sync with a human—each one's a separate behavior that has to be learned, practiced, and eventually combined to music.

Border Collies excel at this kind of exercise because they're genuinely capable of learning long sequences. They are that smart. They thrive on mental stimulation and physical activity, which makes dance training the perfect activity for them. A bored Border Collie will find their own entertainment. A trained one will perform Bridgerton choreography. You choose.

The process involves breaking down each move, rewarding it consistently, adding verbal and hand signal cues, then gradually building the full routine. It takes a lot of time, patience, and treats. But Border Collies have the intelligence, the focus, and the perseverence to make it work.

This particular dog performing a Bridgerton dance? That's a Border Collie doing exactly what Border Collies do—working, learning, and executing commands flawlessly.

Diamond status? Absolutely earned.

Dog Mom Hilariously Creates Scene From 'The Devil Wears Prada' With Her Pups

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 8:20pm

The press and marketing for The Devil Wears Prada 2 have already been insane, and the movie doesn't even come out until May.

From paparazzi footage of them filming last summer to merchandising deals and teaser trailers, there is no doubt this movie will be huge.

But let's not forget the original and why it's a classic.

The Devil Wears Prada, which came out in 2006, made Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt big stars and had so many great one-liners like "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."

View this post on Instagram

That is why we love this new video from the account @audreekate of a dog mom reenacting a scene from the film with her two dogs, a Poodle and a Golden Retriever.

She has her Poodle in sunglasses and a chic neck scarf, and has her Golden Retriever in a beautiful headscarf.

They are standing in her fabulous closet, or rather, a room where she keeps her gorgeous shoe collection on shelves.

The dogs give their mom perfectly judgy stares as she is dressed in a typical cold-weather, dog-walking outfit consisting of a big, puffy jacket (that's misbuttoned), Uggs, and messy hair.

She used the soundbite from The Devil Wears Prada, in which Meryl Streep's character, the iconic Miranda Priestly, judges Andy for her outfit (Anne Hathaway), but she mistakenly calls her Emily.

The dogs look at their mom as she pulls out a large roll of poop bags.

It goes perfectly with the dialogue, and we are here for it!

Audree writes in the caption, "We will need to minimize press at the dog park."

Get Ready for 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'

Clearly, these pups are ready for the film, but are you ready?

The highly anticipated sequel brings back most of the original cast, including Oscar winners Streep and Hathaway, as well as Oscar nominees Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.

As far as the plot, we don't know much, but we know it will focus on Miranda Priestly's fight to keep Runway magazine afloat as print media struggles.

New additions to the cast include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, and B.J. Novak.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be in theaters on May 1, 2026.

Dachshund's Precious Little 'Lion Paws' Are Totally Pure Perfection

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 7:55pm

Of all the adorable pets on the planet, it takes a little something extra to stand out. Whether they have a human-looking face, dramatically long Dumbo ears, or a Swiffer Duster-looking tail, these cats and dogs are "#blessedtoimpress" in the most swoon-worthy ways.

Lil Reg, the Dachshund, leads a pack of his own with a unique feature you might not expect: his gigantic lion paws! For such a little gent, those disproportionate mitts are giving "short king" vibes all day!

@pawfectexplorer

Can't get enough of Reggie's paws 🤷‍♀️. Lion paws on a little body 🦁 . #sausagedog #dachshund #paws #appreciation

♬ original sound - Lil Reg

When Mom captions the post, "Can't get enough of Reggie's paws," and "Lion paws on a little body," she wasn't joking! The video gives us a front-row seat into the precious pup's tiny frame, zooming in on those epic-sized extremities, which were clearly meant for a much larger animal!

Reg may not have needed extra sauce in the womb, but he got it, and he's working it like a boss. This is one of those clips that doesn't need much context or action. It's all about the perfectly pampered prince showing the world why Dachshunds are so impossibly cute.

Related: Dramatic Dachshund Throws Theatrical Tantrum Over Having To Share With Family

I've never had a dog with paws larger than average, so I'm a little obsessed with Reg right now. If you're feeling the same, I have good news—he gets even cuter! I'm of the mind this good boy could do anything and make my heart go pitter-patter, but in another post, we get to hear Reg's darling noises when begging for treats.

Warning: If you didn't fall head over heels with Reg's paws, you'll be mesmerized by his mild and meek conversation!

@pawfectexplorer

...unless it's one where he refuses to walk 🤷‍♀️😅. I'm only playing 🤷‍♀️. As a big Harry Potter fan and an even bigger Reg fan, I had to do this trend. Reg could take on any of those #sausagedog #dachshund #harrypotteredit #dogreel #sausagedoglove

♬ original sound - Harry Potter Dachshunds Have Big Paws for Good Reason

As darling as Reg's paws are, they serve a specific purpose that dates back to their origins as hunters of small prey. Dachshunds' big, paddle-shaped paws, with thick pads and strong toes, act like mini shovels to dig tunnels. They also have slightly turned-out legs like seals to help with their digging efforts—all the better to do their jobs!

If you can't imagine the total picture of this Doxie (and why his paws are so significant), Mom shared another post showing his actual proportions (which you can see by clicking here), and it only adds to his charm. The impressively long Dachshund is the epitome of a "sausage pup" or "hot dog," lion paws and all, and we're not worthy!

Huge Doodle Perched in a Tiny Cat Tree Has People Doing a Double Take

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 7:20pm

A giant Doodle sitting in a cat tree is not something you expect to see, but that is exactly what’s happening here, and somehow it makes perfect sense.

This Doodle, named JumJum, has fully claimed a tiny cat tree, like it was built specifically for him, and honestly… no one seems willing to argue.

@monzbgs250

Whatcha looking at? 👀😹 . . . . . . . . . . . . . doglife #puppy #dogs #doglove #dogvideo #love

♬ original sound - mONzbGs250

TikTok user @monzbgs250 shared the clip of a very large Doodle named JumJum sitting on a tiny cat tree perch, as if he belongs there. Not awkwardly. Not unsure. Fully settled in.

The caption says he is absolutely convinced the cat tree is made for him, and honestly… yeah. You can tell.

Related: Sweet Cat Finally Gets a New Best Friend After Heartbreaking Loss

He’s up on this little perch on the patio, surrounded by other dogs and puppies below him like they are peasants, while a Black Cat casually exists on another level, and a Himalayan cat is tucked into one of the little hidey boxes. Just a full mixed-species situation happening, and nobody seems concerned.

JumJum is just sitting there, proud of himself. Happy. Comfortable. Zero thoughts about physics.

People in the comments immediately understood the assignment. One person said, “This is peak Poodle behavior,” which feels like something we should all accept as fact.

Another wrote, “Shhhh, he thinks he’s a cat,” and honestly, no one should correct him at this point.

Then there was, “He's assimilating,” which is a little dramatic but also… not wrong.

One comment went full-on philosophical: “The cat allows the dog to sit there as a display of his benevolence to all the other lower subspecies,” which feels exactly like something a cat would believe.

And then, simply, “But he's so happy!~” which is really the whole point.

Also, quick thought: The confidence it takes to just claim a cat tree as your own when you are clearly not the target audience… I respect it. On the other hand, our cat tree is by the front door, so the kitties can look out the window, and when we carry groceries in, we put our Pomeranian in it because he can't get down. So we use it like a dog jail.

Maybe Because His Best Friend's a Cat? @monzbgs250

BEST FRIENDS: Meow and Forever 🖤🤍 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #puppy #dogs #catoftheday #bff #dogoftheday

♬ original sound - mONzbGs250

There’s actually a second clip where JumJum is hanging out in another cat tree with a Himalayan cat, and the two of them are playing and chasing each other like this is just their normal routine.

Which makes the whole thing make a lot more sense.

Dogs who grow up around cats, or who spend a lot of time with them, tend to pick up on their habits. They get curious. They want to be where the cats are, doing whatever the cats are doing, even if it does not fully apply to them.

So if the kitty is in the tree… well. Obviously, he should also be in the tree.

It’s less about logic and more about friendship. And maybe a little bit about not wanting to be left out.

And honestly, if you had the option to sit up high and supervise everyone like that, you probably would, too.

Adorable Pit Bull Puppies Transform Into Characters from 'The Pitt'—And the Results Are Too Cute to Miss

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 6:55pm

If there’s one thing guaranteed to stop a scroll, it’s puppies. But a group of pit bull pups just took things to the next level by channeling characters from HBO’s The Pitt in a creative (and wildly adorable) adoption campaign.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

A 'Code Cute' Moment You Can’t Scroll Past

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) recently introduced a litter of nine adoptable puppies on their Facebook page in a way that was equal parts clever and heart-melting. Dubbed “The Pitt litter,” each pup was matched to a character from the show and styled accordingly. Think tiny doctor’s coats, scrubs and accessories that made them look ready to clock in for a shift at the cutest ER imaginable.

The concept was simple but effective: take something people already love (a buzzy TV show), pair it with something they really love (puppies) and create a post that’s impossible to ignore. And it worked!

Related: Husky Turning New Rescue Puppy Sibling Into a 'Movie Buff' Couldn't Be Sweeter

From Stray Beginnings to Forever Homes

Behind the playful photos, there’s a much bigger story. The puppies were born to stray dogs and found living outdoors in Georgia before being transported to ARF through a rescue partner. Like so many rescue pets, they had a rough start, but thanks to coordinated efforts, they were given a real shot at a better life.

And that’s exactly what they got. Within days of the post going live, all nine puppies were adopted.

Why This Creative Idea Worked So Well

Coming up with fresh ways to showcase adoptable pets isn’t always easy, especially for shelters that have been doing this work for decades. That’s where this campaign stood out.

By matching each puppy’s coloring and personality to a specific character, the rescue gave every dog a built-in identity. It wasn’t just “brown puppy #3”—it was a tiny doctor with a role, a vibe and a story. And people noticed.

Commenters couldn’t get over how accurate the pairings were, pointing out details like facial markings that resembled beards or expressions that perfectly matched their human counterparts. Others joked that the entire litter had earned a “PhD in cuteness”—and honestly, fair.

The Power of Social Media in Pet Adoption

Stories like this highlight something shelters already know: social media isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a game-changer.

A single post can reach far beyond a rescue’s local community, connecting animals with adopters who might never have found them otherwise. Every like, comment and share helps boost visibility, increasing the chances that the right person sees a pet at the right time.

Even if you’re not in a position to adopt, engaging with posts from shelters can genuinely make a difference. That quick double-tap or share might be the reason a dog or cat finds their future family.

As for “The Pitt litter" their first season may be over, but it came with the best possible finale: every single one finding their forever family

Border Collie Nails 'Bridgerton' Dance So Perfectly, Fans Dub Him 'Lord Barkington'

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 6:10pm

The Netflix hit series Bridgerton thrilled fans with its recently released fourth season and now has everyone pining for season 5. The period drama combines plenty of romance, drama, and scandal that keeps viewers hooked, with most binge-watching the series as soon as it hits the streaming service.

One particular scene from the fifth episode in season 4 featured Hyacinth Bridgerton (Florence Hunt) hosting a dance and tripping the light fantastic with her brother, Benedict (Luke Thompson). The impressive performance inspired Bridgerton devotees to try the moves out for themselves, which trended on TikTok. Apparently, the dance isn't just for two-legged fans.

This beautiful Border Collie learned the popular dance from his mom and showed off his impressive moves in the TikTok from @the_trickstars. The precious pooch perfectly pulled off the performance that included bows, paw crossovers, and spins.

The dancing dog's mom gave verbal commands during each sequence. The prancing pair obviously put plenty of work into the routine and beautifully replicated the steps. Viewers praised the pup's flawless performance, suggesting that he deserved an official title.

"Paws down, the best Bridgerton dance," someone remarked.

"Lord Barkington!!!" another declared.

"I looked at my dog and she said it was AI," a fan joked.

"I’ve never been so impressed by a dog... How long did this take? My dog is still learning to sit and stay," a follower raved.

Dog Dance Was Not AI

The TikTok went viral and garnered over 15 million views. The performance was so impressive that some suspected AI was involved. The Border Collie's mom posted a follow-up video showing their training sessions to prove its authenticity, complete with commands and treats throughout the routine.

"Lots of 'AI' comments, so I thought I’d just make a video leaving in my verbal cues and his reward," the caption explained as the fur baby's mom could be heard giving clear directions and providing some well-earned treats for a job well done.

Maybe Bridgerton producers will view the video and have the curtsying canine on the show. He's clearly ready for his close-up.

This $8 Dog Toy at Aldi Is the Ultimate Millennial Throwback

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 5:55pm

If your dog’s toy bin is starting to look a little predictable (bones, balls, repeat), Aldi just dropped something way more fun—and unexpectedly nostalgic. The discount retailer is leaning into a millennial throwback that’s as entertaining for pet parents as it is for their pups.

Hasbro Plush Furby Dog Toy, $7.99 at Aldi Hasbro Games Plush Furby Dog Toy

Aldi is currently selling a Hasbro Games Furby Plush Dog Toy for $8. It looks just like the slightly unhinged, slightly adorable Furby you probably remember from the late ‘90s.

But instead of talking, blinking and randomly waking you up at 2 a.m., this version is designed with dogs in mind. Think soft plush material, lightweight construction and a shape that’s easy for pups to grab, carry and toss around.

Related: This $5 Find at Aldi Is Perfect for Keeping Your Curious Pet Busy

Why Dogs Love Toys Like This

Plush toys might seem simple, but they check a lot of boxes for everyday play, especially for dogs who aren’t aggressive chewers.

  • Easy to carry: The lightweight design makes it ideal for dogs that like to parade their toys around the house
  • Comfort factor: Soft textures can double as a cuddle buddy during downtime
  • Indoor-friendly: Perfect for low-impact play (aka, no chaos bouncing off your walls)

For many dogs, toys like this become “favorites” fast not because they’re high-tech, but because they’re familiar, soft and satisfying to carry.

The Real Reason Pet Parents Are Obsessed

Let’s be honest: this toy isn’t just for your dog.

Nostalgia-driven pet products are having a moment, and this one taps directly into that millennial sweet spot. It’s the same reason we’re seeing everything from Pac-Man pet T-shirts to a Hungry Hungry Hippo dog toys pop up in the pet aisle—people love buying things that feel fun for them, too.

It’s that mix of novelty and practicality that makes these toys stand out. Rather than being just another squeaky bone, they double as conversation starters and the kind of thing that gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling every time you see your dog trotting around with it.

Is It Worth Grabbing?

If your dog enjoys plush toys—and you enjoy a good blast from the past—this $8 find is an easy “why not?” add to your cart.

Golden Retriever Storms Off Like a Moody Teenager When Mom Says ‘No More Treats’

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 4:50pm

Golden Retrievers are supposed to be sunshine in dog form, but apparently even sunshine has its limits. In this hilarious video, Nauti gets told he cannot have any more treats and responds with the kind of offended drama usually reserved for teenagers who have just been told their phone is getting taken away.

The post caption says, “My goodness! My doggo has an attitude haha!” and honestly, that is putting it lightly. Nauti does not just pout. He shuffles down the hallway with full emotional damage energy, then slams the door behind him like he is done with this household and all its oppressive snack policies.

@nauti.doggo

My goodness! My doggo has an attitude haha! #funny #dog #lol #dogs #fyp

♬ original sound - Nauti Doggo

It's the little storm-off that really sells it. He is not sprinting away in chaos. He is making a point. Every step feels loaded. Every inch of that walk says, you will regret this, and I hope you think about what you have done. It is pure performance, and he knows it.

The comments are just as funny as the video. One person wrote, “He said ‘FLUFF THIS HOUSE!’ 😤” which is honestly exactly what his body language suggests. Another said, “I half expected to hear loud rock music through the door,” and that might be the most accurate description of the vibe. Nauti absolutely gives the impression that he is one dramatic sigh away from starting a garage band called No More Treats.

This is not just a dog being disappointed. It is a Golden Retriever expressing betrayal with the timing and flair of a sitcom character. And Goldens really are built for this kind of emotional exaggeration. Their faces are expressive, their feelings seem enormous, and when they decide to be dramatic, they go all in.

Nauti also nails that very specific dog quality of making a small inconvenience look like a full moral injustice. No more treats? In his mind, this is not portion control. This is oppression. This is censorship. This is the collapse of trust between species.

And let’s be honest, that is why people will watch this over and over. It is relatable, ridiculous, and weirdly cinematic. Anyone who has ever said no to a dog and immediately been treated like the villain of the century will recognize exactly what is happening here.

Drama Usually Means a Dog Wants Something That Works

Nauti’s hallway protest is funny, but it is also a good reminder that dogs repeat behaviors that get a reaction. VCA Animal Hospitals notes that calm, quiet behaviors should be rewarded, while demanding or excitable behaviors are best met with less attention, which can help keep small moments of frustration from turning into a full routine.

That can look like keeping treat rules consistent, asking for a simple cue before handing over snacks, and rewarding calm behavior instead of negotiating with the tiny actor in your hallway. VCA also notes that rewards can include treats, toys, praise, petting, or attention, so it helps to have a few options besides food when your dog is feeling extra theatrical.

Honestly, Nauti slammed that door like he was grounded for chewing in self-defense.

Tiny Puppy Trapped in Drain Gets Heartwarming Last-Minute Rescue

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 4:48pm

The sound was easy to miss. Faint, uneven, almost lost beneath the noise of water and distant traffic. But someone stopped long enough to listen, and that’s what made all the difference.

Thanks to a call to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), a young puppy has been given a second chance at life after getting trapped in a stormwater drain pipe in Newcastle, South Africa.

According to reports, Zinhle Mdlalose called the local Newcastle SPCA for assistance. After hearing about the situation, the SPCA then contacted the Newcastle Protection Services for its help because of the risks involved with the rescue and getting access to the drain. The incredible rescue was caught on video and posted to YouTube.

How the SPCA Saved the Puppy

When rescuers arrived, the situation was already urgent. The puppy was stuck below ground level, with limited space to move and no clear way out.

Stormwater drains aren’t just confined spaces. They can flood quickly, especially if conditions change. What looks manageable one moment can turn dangerous the next.

As we can see in the video, rescuers initially tried to save the puppy from above the drain, but it was too deep for them to come down. They tried sending a rope for the puppy to get attached to, but that didn’t help either.

They had to come up with a different plan. The fire department helped a woman get into the drain from the other side. She crawled into the tunnel and came outside with the puppy. The community cheered her on, happy that the dog was safe and secure.

Why Organizations That Help Animals Matter

Rescues like this don’t happen by accident. They rely on trained people, proper equipment and organizations that are ready to respond when something goes wrong.

Groups like the SPCA exist for exactly these moments. They handle situations most people aren’t equipped for, from trapped animals to cases of neglect and abandonment. Without them, many of these stories would end differently.

Support doesn’t always have to be dramatic. Donations, volunteering or even just spreading awareness can help keep these organizations running.

The reality is simple: when an animal is in trouble, time matters, and having the right people ready to act can mean the difference between life and loss.

The Moment That Stays With You

If you’ve ever helped an animal, even in a small way, you know the feeling. The relief you feel realizing that the animal that was in danger is now safe. That feeling stays with you.

For this puppy, that moment also marked the start of something new. More than a survival. A second chance. And for everyone who played a role in the rescue, it’s a reminder of why these efforts matter.

See the Rare Moment a Golden Retriever Realizes a Big Ball Is Actually Life-Changing

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 3:48pm

For most golden retriever parents, life is a never-ending cycle of "throw the ball, get the ball," and it seems like the cycle never ends.

However, that is not the case with every dog. For one golden retriever posted on Reddit, the classic ball never held much appeal. She lived a perfectly happy life without the obsession. But, all that changed when her parents brought home a new toy ball that was roughly the size of a giant beach ball.

The "never a ball doggy" suddenly transformed. In a viral clip shared on the social media platform Reddit, we see how happy the dog is with her new toy.

As we see in the video, in the beginning, the dog was curious. A cautious sniff and a gentle nudge. Then, within seconds, that play turned into full-body excitement.

She started pushing the ball across the ground, chasing it, circling it and being completely locked in. The same dog who once ignored balls entirely now couldn’t get enough.

It wasn’t just play. It was discovery.

What Are Fans Saying About It?

Fans watching the video noticed something most people might ignore. We see a dog experiencing pure, uncomplicated joy. We see her personality shift in real time.

Redditors commented things like “Goldens are the best” and “This is hilarious. Where is it from?” They wanted to know more about the ball, and the original poster replied, explaining it is a balance ball covered in ripstop nylon with parachute ribbon handles.

Why Golden Retrievers Usually Love Playing With Balls

Golden retrievers were bred to retrieve. It’s in their name, but more importantly, it’s in their wiring.

Historically, they were used to bring back game during hunts, carrying objects gently in their mouths over long distances. That instinct doesn’t disappear just because they’re living in a family home instead of a field.

For retrievers, a toy ball taps directly into that drive. They move unpredictably, they’re easy to carry, and they create a clear, repeatable task: chase, grab, return.

But not every golden retriever shows that instinct right away. Some dogs need a different trigger. For this particular dog, it was a completely new kind of ball—one that was larger than she is. As we see in the video, the oversized ball leads to her having some oversized fun, and we love to see a happy golden.

Senior Lab’s ‘Bunny Hops’ Leave Everyone Smiling in Surprise

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 2:48pm

Many senior dog parents recognize the slow, stiff gait that often comes with double-digit birthdays. At the same time, watching a senior dog rediscover play is a specific kind of magic, and pet parents may notice an older dog suddenly grabbing a toy they haven’t touched for years.

In a now-viral video on Reddit, one pup shows that you can teach an old dog new tricks—and rediscover the joy of playtime again.

A Spring in His Step

According to the original poster, Max is a 14-year-old Labrador retriever, and he recently showed a burst of energy rarely seen in a senior dog: a run that looks more like a bunny hop. His bunny hops serve as a reminder that old doesn’t have to mean immobile. With the right veterinary support, senior pets can find a new rhythm and enjoy fun and play in their golden years.

In his senior years, my 14 year old lab thinks he’s a bunny now
by u/astrohoundstudios in aww

Max’s parent shared a funny update about her black Labrador retriever. In the video, we see Max, hoping on his hind legs, looking like a bunny rabbit. He is eager to play with another dog, and (literally) jumping to meet him.

What looks like a funny moment is something that most pet parents of senior dogs face. As Max’s parent explained, “he was evaluated by a vet and started on pain meds for arthritis. The running is most likely the meds starting to work. It’s only been a few days, but we’re hopeful.”

What Are Fans Saying About It?

Fans loved Max’s energy and his enthusiasm. One commenter said, “Good on you mate, always nice to see people looking out for their babies, especially in older age. Our old family lab got like this in her older age, and she certainly wasn't bouncing around with that much energy so fingers crossed the meds work nicely.”

More fans loved the energy Max brings to his older years, saying, “Seeing these babies get older really pulls at the old heartstringz” and “It actually makes me super happy. It means they’ve lived a life of love. Those golden years are a true gift.”

When Age Doesn’t Follow the Script

Pet parents never want to see their dogs age, but there comes a time when you notice small changes. The first time your dog hesitates before jumping onto the couch. The first time a walk gets cut short. It might be subtle at first, but then it becomes the new normal.

That’s why Max’s movement feels so unexpected. At an age where stiffness is expected, he’s doing the opposite. He’s moving in a way that feels almost puppy-like, even if his body is clearly that of a senior.

Dogs with joint discomfort sometimes shift how they move to avoid pain. Instead of alternating their back legs, they move them together to reduce strain. It looks unusual, but it can be surprisingly effective.

Max had just been evaluated by a veterinarian and started on pain medication for arthritis. It had only been a few days, but something was already changing, and we love his new energy.

It’s the kind of moment many dog owners recognize. The day your dog starts acting like themselves again. Max may not run the way he used to and his bunny-like hops aren’t exactly textbook movement, but that’s not the point. What matters is that he’s trying and loving his life just as he is right now.

Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

I have never understood voluntarily using something prone to breaking or easily sustaining damage.

Take your cell phone. There is no reason at this point for your phone not to be in a durable case with a screen protector. The reason I bring this up is that if you have a chicken coop, it simply doesn’t make sense to use substandard products.

You’ll be glad to know, then, that Walmart is currently running a sale on the DOMIPET extra-large chicken roosting bars for nearly 32% off.

Now $48 instead of $70, this thing is bound to be the hot new hangout spot for your backyard friends. After all, sometimes we all need a change of scenery.

Why We Like This Deal
  • The wood is designed to ensure the ladder can survive full sunlight, rain, and snow. Excellent news as we move into the summer months, especially in regions prone to storms in July or August.
  • If your chickens are in the mood to enjoy themselves, they can take advantage of a ladder or a swing.
  • The structure is easy to assemble and can reliably hold as many as 10 chickens.

The first handful of Walmart shopper reviews of these chicken roosting bars have been a perfect 5-stars, too. Keep in mind that you’ll need to install it yourself. Whatever makes the chickens happy, right?

Rare Bear-Like Pup Tries to Be a Lap Dog and It’s Adorable

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 10:10am

Both of my dogs are small and easy to identify. My Dachshund-Miniature Pinscher mix is mostly Doxie and has the iconic long body and floppy ears. Her Pug-Corgi brother is your classic low rider with a boxy build and those big, round eyes that give away his Pug heritage.

Truman the Leonberger has the mammoth stature the breed is known for, yet resembles a fluffy bear rather than any sort of canine.

@trumantheleo

This boy loves his ear wubs 🤤 #leonberger #spoilt #giantbreed #lapdog #gentlegiant

♬ original sound - TheTrumanShow

In the TikTok from @trumantheleo, the gigantic fur baby was lying on the couch with his head on his dad's lap. The precious pooch apparently likes ear rubs and was prompting his papa to get to work.

Truman's dad looked like a professional masseuse as he kneaded and stretched Truman's ears and surrounding fur. The canine cutie's hair was thick and fluffy, like a lion's mane around his face. Truman seemed oblivious to his massive size and acted like a lap dog rather than a pup well over 100 pounds.

Viewers of the video fell in love with Truman and compared him to another powerful species with an impressive build.

"That’s not a dog, that’s a bearlion," one remarked.

"Excuse me, that’s a big fluffy bear on that man’s lap," another pointed out.

"You must’ve had this comment before, but that’s a true bear, not a Truman. Lovely fluffy boy," a follower posted.

"Don’t move — it appears you have a bear in your home," someone joked.

How Big Do Leonbergers Get?

This beautiful breed is known for its thick, fluffy coat and eye-catching physique. These canines are considered full adult size at 18 to 22 months. Male Leonbergers usually reach 28-32 inches in height at adulthood, and weigh between 110 and 170 pounds. Females stand between 25 and 29 inches in height, and tip the scales at 90 to 140 pounds.

Known as a working breed, the Leonberger was initially used as a farming dog. Their strength and high energy made them a popular pick to serve in both World Wars to transport ammunition carts.

Leonbergers are very loving and gentle, and make wonderful family dogs. And like Truman beautifully demonstrates, these pups love affection.

Pit Bull Siblings With Rare 'Mega-Fluff' Gene Reunite With Competing Toupees

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 9:20am

When adopting a dog (from anywhere), it's easy to forget they likely had littermates as newborn pups with whom they may have bonded. It's incredibly heartwarming when they get the chance to reunite, if only to see if they remember each other.

This recently happened to Theodore James Bonaparte-Meadows, an American Pit Bull Terrier with an ultra-rare long-haired gene, when Mom took him to visit his long-lost sister, Rosie. It's really something to see Theo's toupee-looking mohawk, but next to his equally furry sibling, they're unstoppable!

@joannaleighmeadow

Best buds!

♬ original sound - Money_clips

Huge shoutout to @joannaleighmeadow for sharing the precious reunion of two rare Pit Bull pups who hadn't seen each other in two long years, because this is everything.

As explained in the comments, here's how it went down:

"Theo got excited as soon as we pulled into their place, which was weird cause he had never been to this house. Rosie was immediately excited. Theo took a few minutes. I think he was in shock. He kept smelling her, but a few minutes in, they were losing their minds, lol."

She added that Rosie is typically scared of strangers, and she jumped right into the car, "ready to roll with her brother."

This woolly pair has been compared to Chewbacca, a “Pit Bull under cover," and a character from Gremlins, which are all correct! And as many experts confirmed, littermates can remember each other through scent, triggering joy, excitement, and curiosity. This can last up to two years after separation. Looks like Theo and Rosie came together just in time!

Here's a closer look at their cuteness!

@joannaleighmeadow

The way she keeps thinking about it 🤔💭😂

♬ original sound - King Theodore & Princess Rosie The Gene That Gives Pit Bull Pups Luscious Locks

I'd be remiss not to note why these two angels have such long, luxurious locks, because it's their main attraction! The rare recessive genetic mutation, which is called the FGF5 gene, is inherited from both parents (one from each), and it controls hair growth, resulting in a fluffy or long-haired Pit Bull.

It's pretty lucky that Rosie has a bit of the gene as well. Just when I thought discovering one fluffy-haired Pittie was mind-blowing, Rosie came along and said,"Hold my beer," proving dreams really do come true!

Dachshund's Heart-Melting Way of Asking for Cuddles Is the Cutest Thing We've Ever Seen

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 8:40am

Some dogs ask for affection in a normal way. And then there is Rigatoni, a wire-haired Dachshund who has apparently decided that the best way to request cuddles is to throw himself onto his back, add a few tiny whines, flick his little paws in the air, and absolutely destroy everyone’s emotional stability.

In this video clip, Rigatoni is sprawled out in full baby mode, looking impossibly cute and very aware of it. The little whines are soft, the paw flicks are dramatic, and the whole thing feels like a perfectly choreographed plea for immediate snuggling. The music only makes it worse in the best possible way. It adds that extra layer of awww that turns a sweet dog video into a full event.

@wildwildwilli_original

🥹 #wildwildwilli #dachshund #dogsofinstagram #rauhaardackel #wirehaireddachshund

♬ UP - DIMAS RANGGA ANANDITA

What makes it so good is that Rigatoni is not being subtle about any of this. He is not gently nudging for attention or casually scooting closer. He is fully committed to his cuddle campaign. He looks like a tiny Victorian child asking to be comforted on a fainting couch, and honestly, it is working.

The comments are exactly what you would hope. One person wrote, “Give that baby some cuddles stat!! 🥺😭😁,” which feels less like a comment and more like a direct public service announcement. Another said, “This is dramatic, but I’d die for Rigatoni. Yes, I would 😭,” and frankly, that feels like a reasonable position after watching this level of cuteness unfold.

It also helps that this TikTok account is already stacked with adorable content, because there are four Dachshunds in the house. Four. That is not a home, that is a fully operational sausage-dog entertainment network. But even in a house full of stars, Rigatoni really knows how to make a moment his own.

This clip has everything people want from pet content: a dog with a huge personality, a very specific little behavior, and the kind of sweetness that makes you instantly send it to someone else. Rigatoni is not just asking for cuddles. He is demanding a response from the entire internet, and from the look of things, the internet is more than willing to comply.

Dogs Really Do Use Their Bodies to Ask for Love

Rigatoni’s tiny paw flicks and whines are not just adorable; they are also classic dog communication. PetMD notes that dogs often use pawing to communicate a need, including wanting attention or affection, which is exactly why little gestures like this can feel so clear once you know your dog’s style. Dogs also show comfort and happiness through body language, like relaxed posture, seeking closeness, and soft vocalizing.

Honestly, Rigatoni was one paw flick away from filing a formal cuddle request with management.
