Orange Maine Coon Mom Is the Ultimate Multitasker and We're Tired Just Watching Her

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 8:20am

Most mothers are excellent multitaskers.

Even if you only have one child (and that is still very hard), you are often trying to accomplish six different things at the same time.

This skill translates over to cat mothers as well.

We see that in this video from @wildmane_mainecoons, which features a beautiful orange Maine Coon cat named Honey, who's the new mother of what looks like four adorable kittens (of course, there could be more).

Kittens demand a lot from their mothers, as we know, and Honey is trying to do everything for all of them at the same time, and it is pretty darn impressive!

In the video, we see her lying down, but she is hardly relaxing with those great, big, beautiful ears of hers.

She is stretching one arm to groom a dark Orange Kitten who is cleaning himself, but she is lending a hand.

Then she cleans another Orange Kitten with her tongue, and all of this is happening as a little Black Kitten is nursing on her.

Then she starts grooming the nursing Black Kitten as the two little Orange Kitties start to paw at each other and play.

Though Honey looks a little tired, she doesn't seem fazed by all the action happening around her.

The little kittens are clearly learning fast, as they are also grooming each other.

Like mother, like children!

It’s amazing to think that these currently tiny kittens will grow to reach between 12 and 15 pounds for the females and between 18 and 22 pounds for the males.

They will also soon grow those beautiful lynx-like ears with tufts at the ends.

Maine Coon cats are among the largest domestic cat breeds, and as you can see, even when they are kittens, they are very confident, energetic, and full of curiosity.

They also demand a lot from their mothers!

Maine Coon cats are extremely maternal, as we can see with Honey here.

Golden Retriever's Cute Game of Peek-a-Boo Will Instantly Make You Smile

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 8:10am

Dogs perform some heartwarming tricks and moves. Some pups are trained to master these feats, while others make it happen organically. My Pug mix spontaneously breaks out into an adorable little dance whenever I bring him his food. He spins in circles and jumps around in excitement in a clumsy, non-choreographed mix of movements that's absolutely adorable.

Bumi the Golden Retriever perfectly participates in rounds of peek-a-boo that has followers impressed and completely smitten.

In the TikTok from @lilgoldenbloom, Bumi was decked out in bunny ears for the upcoming Easter holiday and had his paws up on a table. The gorgeous Golden had his face adorably hidden under the table, and intermittently popped up in a heartwarming game of peek-a-boo.

This wasn't Bumi's first time performing his peek-a-boo skills. Previous posts featured the fur baby demonstrating how adept he is at the game usually reserved for babies and toddlers.

Followers fell in love with the precious pooch and raved over his flawless peek-a-boo prowess while maintaining perfect positioning of his bunny ears.

"It just doesn't get any cuter than this!!" one gushed.

"I need these peek-a-boos while I work. I’d be much more pleasant," another shared.

"Bumi is absolutely the cutest thing ever!!!" a fan cheered.

"You're so sweet and beautiful and cute and adorable and so cutie pie," someone posted.

"That’s funny, I thought this was Bumi’s account, but all I see is a bunny!" a follower joked.

Golden Retrievers Are Highly Intelligent

Bumi is a wonderful example of how smart Golden Retrievers are. They have a high capacity to learn and are ranked as the fourth most intelligent breed, right behind Border Collies, Poodles, and German Shepherds.

Related: Golden Retriever Gets a Happy Meal for His Birthday and Accidentally Spooks the Cashier

Their intelligence is often overshadowed by their affable and silly nature, yet Goldens are very easy to train and very in tune with human emotions. These dogs have an intelligence level on par with a 2 or 2.5 year old child and can learn over 165 words.

Bumi nailed peek-a-boo, so he's probably already planning his next challenge.

Dog's Hilarious Human-Like Pose Just Earned Her a Family Responsibility Upgrade

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 7:55am

In the wide world of dogs, some are so expressive that it's like there's a grown person inside dying to break free. You know the ones—they're sassy, opinionated, and just so human-like, they can't possibly be a pup. One hilarious canine named Joni proves my point, and once you see the funny way that she sits next to her human sister, you'll understand why!

@setebaidt1

my dog sits like a human so we’re trying to treat her like one

♬ original sound - Jeff Worrall

The brief video shared by @setebaidt1 shows a seemingly annoyed Joni sitting upright on the couch next to her toddler sibling. She looks like she had a long day at the factory and needs to take a load off, so no, Dad, this hard-working gal will not be babysitting the child right now!

With this funny way of sitting, Joni looks like she desperately needs a bit to decompress with a bubble bath, martini, and juicy book to melt the stress away! As you can imagine, Joni's relatable expression garnered a ton of comments from those who think Ms. Joni nailed that "exhausted parent" look!

Related: Rescue Dog With Face of a Human Man Has Everyone Swooning

"Joni has clocked out," one person wrote. "She's had a rough day at work," another added. Others shared zoomed-in screenshots of the comical dog's "over it" face, and as a parent myself, it's a little too relatable!

Now that you've seen Joni in all her annoyed glory, it might surprise you to know she looked like an entirely different girl as a puppy. Based on when the older clips were shared, the mixed breed is around 5 years old, and her best attribute—those floppy ears—was even cuter on her much smaller frame!

@setebaidt1

everybody needs a little encouragement sometimes #gooddog #doggo #athlete #didithough #JoniEmbiid

♬ original sound - Jeff Worrall Why Do Some Dogs Sit Like Humans?

When it comes to taking a load off and sitting comfortably, dogs like Joni figured out the cheat code. By mimicking their people and sitting upright, it helps alleviate any joint pain or pressure on their hips and back. It's more common in bigger breeds with long legs and stumpier breeds like Bulldogs.

This form of "lazy sitting" can be learned through observation or because they happened upon it one day and decided it felt a lot better than what they've been doing. If they get a laugh out of us, they're more likely to continue doing it!

However Joni discovered her new position, we thank her for her service!

French Bulldog Gets PetSmart Shopping Trip—'I Won't Rush Him, This Is His Sephora'

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 7:20am

Some dogs get ‘dragged’ along on errands. But not Monaco theFrench Bulldog. He gets the full luxury shopping experience.

There's a TikTok where Monaco's rolling through PetSmart in a stroller and his mom's letting him take his sweet time and enjoy the experience. Let’s be real, nobody enjoys being rushed when shopping. The caption reads, "I won't rush him. This is his Sephora!" which explains everything you need to know about this shopping trip.

The POV text sets the mood,"You took me to PetSmart and expected self control?" Apparently, asking a Frenchie to stay calm in a store full of toys and treats is difficult.

@monacolefrenchie

Monaco's mom took him there to pick out his own toy. And based on mom's Sephora comparison, she's treating this trip with the respect and reverence that it deserves. No rushing. No grabbing something random off the shelf. This is a browsing situation.

Monaco’s fans immediately understood the assignment.

PetSmart's official account showed up: "Thanks for visiting us, we hope to see you again soon 🥰 🐾" because even PetSmart recognizes quality customer appreciation.

"He's so adorable" stating the obvious.

Monaco's getting the VIP treatment; stroller transport, time to browse and a full selection available. Mom's not rushing the process because she gets it—PetSmart to Frenchies is what Sephora is to makeup lovers. You never rush that process.

French Bulldogs Are Social Dogs Who Enjoy Outings and Bond Deeply With Their People

Here's why taking Monaco on shopping trips works: French Bulldogs are naturally social dogs who genuinely love being around their humans. They love being part of whatever's happening. Personally, my Frenchie, Blouie, suffers from the worst case of FOMO anytime his humans are out of his sight. Taking Monaco to PetSmart isn't just about getting a toy—it's about including him in daily life.

Frenchies bond deeply with their people. That closeness is genuine and real. They want to be wherever their humans are, involved in their day-to-day activities. A shopping trip to PetSmart where Monaco gets to take his time and select his own lovey? That's quality time from his perspective.

Before taking any dog to a store, though, a few things matter. The dog needs reliable house-training. They need to be able to handle being around strangers, kids, and possibly other dogs without losing their mind or getting too stressed. They definitely need solid leash manners—staying beside you without pulling or trying to greet everyone is mandatory.

Monaco rolling through in a stroller actually solves a lot of those challenges. He's strapped in, can’t run freely, and can enjoy the experience without needing perfect store behavior or being reprimanded the entire time.

The key skills for store-ready dogs include walking nicely on leash, sitting and staying calmly while you shop, and leaving tempting items alone. However, Monaco's getting the luxury version where mom handles the logistics and he handles the most important part: choosing his own toy.PetSmart as his Sephora? Perfect comparison. Both require time, consideration, and zero rushing.

Rescue Pup Smiles Uncontrollably at Seeing His Dad After 36 Hours

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 6:29am

Cactus, the rescue dog, was overwhelmed with emotion at seeing his dad, who dared to go away without him for an entire 36 hours. Cactus was enjoying the good life at his uncle's house, lounging on the waterfront balcony (and pooping on the tennis court, apparently) when his dad returned and surprised the sweet pup. Cactus reacted by wagging his tail wildly and wearing the most hilarious snarly smile until his dad went over to smother him with cuddles.

@cactustherescue

Cactus pulled out all the smiles when I showed up to pick him up. He was posted on the balcony at his uncle’s place, just taking in the view like he owned it. Apparently that was his favorite spot all weekend….when he wasn’t making himself at home on the tennis court (aka going potty).

♬ Little Things - Adrián Berenguer

Viewers like this one love the love between this dog and his dad: "Smiles and full body wiggles. He adores you."

Others comment on his unique smile style, "He doesn't know if he's happy or angry," laughs one fan.

Do Dogs Actually Smile?

We all know the look—that open mouth, soft eyes, tongue out situation that feels very much like a smile. But scientifically speaking, dogs aren’t “smiling” the way we do. It just happens to look that way to us.

What we call a dog smile is usually a relaxed expression—often paired with panting, a loose body, and a wagging tail. It can mean your dog is happy, but it’s really just one piece of a bigger picture. Dogs communicate more through their overall body language than through their faces alone. Hence, Cactus's full-body wags and shakes.

There’s also a learned behavior element. Dogs are incredibly good at reading humans, and they figure out pretty quickly that when they make that happy, open-mouthed face, they get a positive reaction—attention, praise, maybe even a treat. So naturally, they do it more.

That said, not every “smile” is actually a sign of happiness. Sometimes showing teeth can mean stress or submission, especially if the rest of the body looks tense or unsure. In the case of Cactus, his snarl-smile is probably a mix of happy stress and excitement.

So, dogs may not smile in the human sense—but they do express happiness in ways that feel very familiar. The real tell isn’t just the face—it’s the whole vibe.

Golden Retriever Puppy's Adorable Sleeping Pose Is the Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 6:24am

Some puppies sleep quietly. Walter the Golden Retriever? He’s not ‘some’ puppies. He's out cold on the couch like he's never been more comfortable anywhere in his entire life.

There's the cutest TikTok where little Walter is completely crashed on the couch just being completely adorable. The caption reads, "He's actually my perfect angel (when he's sleeping) 🥺," which honestly all puppy parents can identify with.

The text overlay says everything you need to know "The sweetest sleepy boy!" and he really is.

Walter's blocked in on the couch—the way you'd block in a baby so they don't roll off furniture—and he's taking full advantage of this secure setup. He's not just catching a puppy power nap, Walter is fully committed to chasing that REM experience. The kind of deep sleep where you're making little sounds and twitching and clearly dreaming about something.

@walterunleashed

Walter’s fans in the comments couldn't handle how adorable it all was.

"He's perfect," and really they’re just stating straight facts.

"The little sleepy stretch…. 🥰🥰🥰….. How do you not just stop everything and go curl up next to him?" We all watched and can agree that stretch hit different.

Related: Golden Retriever Puppy Is the Cutest 'Beach Potato' We've Ever Seen in Precious Video

"What a life," truly.

"Dogs are better than people," a hot take most would agree with.

Walter feels safe enough at home that he can just fall into this peaceful slumber. Based on his relaxed pose, he seems to be at ease. Those little puppy movements and sounds, he's definitely dreaming about something.

Golden Retriever Puppies Dream More Frequently Than Adult Dogs

Here's what's actually happening when Walter's twitching and making those little puppy sounds: he's dreaming. Dogs experience the exact same sleep stages humans do, including REM sleep—that good, deep sleep where dreaming becomes possible.

During REM sleep, brain activity actually increases. Sometimes, eyes move rapidly beneath eyelids and breathing can become quick and uneven. The body might twitch or move. All of this is a part of normal dreaming.

Puppies like Walter usually dream more often than adult dogs because they're bradn new and taking in tons of new information daily. Their brains have a lot to process at night. While Walter's sleeping, his brain's probably replaying the day he just had; maybe that ball he chased across the house, maybe that brisk morning walk or maybe meeting another dog friend at the park.

There's a part of the brain called the pons that acts like a safety switch, preventing dogs from fully acting out whatever they're dreaming and possibley hurting themselves. That's why Walter might paddle his legs like he's running but doesn’t gallop off the couch and remains safely on the couch.

The twitching, the little puppy sounds, the leg movements—all of it, that's just Walter having sweet dreams. There’s absolutely nothing to worry about. Just let sleeping dogs lie…literally.

Walter blocked in on that couch, dead asleep, dreaming his puppy dreams? That's Walter theGolden Retriever puppy living his best life.

Perfect angel status: absolutely confirmed.

6 Dog Behaviors With Hidden Meanings, According to Cesar Millan

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 6:10am

There are times when it feels like you and your dog share a level of understanding that others just can’t grasp. But there are also moments when your pup may leave you completely puzzled. Are they rolling over because they want a belly rub or is there something more to it? You’re not the only one struggling to understand your devoted companion, many pet parents are in the same boat. To help you out, we rounded up 6 dog behaviors that have hidden meanings, according to Cesar Millan. That way, you can learn how to read your dog better.

After all, it takes time to understand what your dog is tryng to communicate if you don't know how to read your dog’s behavior or body language. And, even then, it can be tricky to decode their underlying messages when you try to apply a human perspective to a dog’s actions. “People humanize them,” says Millan, dog behaviorist and star of Better Human, Better Dog. “When you don’t want to see what you need to see, it will be hard to figure out what your dog is trying to tell you."

But once you do a deep dive into your pup’s actions and the consistency of those canine behaviors, Millan says you can start to decipher what’s going on below the surface. So if you want to learn more about why your dog behaves the way they do, keep reading because Millan explains the secret meanings behind common canine behaviors, helping you understand dog communication cues and strengthen your human-dog bond.

6 Dog Behaviors That Have Hidden Meanings A dog with its owner.

To truly understand what your dog is trying to communicate, context is key when trying to find the real meanings of why your dog does certain things. So, try to take everything that’s happening into account to help narrow things down. Paying attention to these signals helps you interpret canine behavior cues, improve your dog’s well-being, and strengthen the human-dog bond.

Your dog licks their lips

Understanding dog body language and dog behavior meanings can be tricky. So when your dog is licking their lips, it could signal a few different things. That's why it can be confusing. “It can be anxiety,” Millan says. “When a dog is anxious or a little bit fearful, they do that.” But your dog also may simply be excited that you’re cooking food or that a nearby dog is in heat. “A dog is the most honest member of your family. They don’t hide behind things,” Millan says. Learning how to read your dog’s signals like this can help strengthen your bond and better understand their emotions.

Your dog randomly yawns

When it comes to hidden meanings within dog behaviors, a yawn is one pet parents often aren't always sure about. “When I’m working with a dog that is anxious or aggressive and I stop them, the yawning is an indication that he’s transitioning to a more calm state,” Millan says. “For me, it’s a good sign.” Dogs may also yawn to signal that they’re not feeling great or are just plain tired, Millan says. In this case, “the body language isn’t as powerful as much as the energy behind it,” Millan says.

Your dog starts to roll on its back

Understanding dog behavior meanings and dog body language can help you decode why your dog rolls on its back. “It could be that he found a poop and is rolling over it,” Millan says. But it may also be a way for your pooch to cool himself off. “A lot of times, they’re just playing or it feels really good,” Millan says. "Dogs may also do this when they’re surrendering to a member of the pack."

They start to paw at you

Pawing is one of the most common ways dogs communicate with their owners through body language and behavior signals. But, what does this dog behavior mean? Well, it often has a secret meaning you need to decode. “If your dog is gently pawing at you, that’s a good thing,” Millan says. “But if a dog is harshly pawing at you, it’s demanding something and saying, ‘Come on, give me food,' or 'Take me for a walk,' or 'Let’s go to bed.’” Intensity matters here, according to Millan. “It’s very important to always pay attention to the energy,” he says.

Your dog digs at the floor inside

When your dog digs at the floor inside, it’s one of the many dog behaviors with meanings that pet parents need to look into so they can tend to their pup's emotions and needs. "Digging at the floor is usually a sign of nesting," Millan says. "Females will often do this inside before settling down, while males may dig at the floor if they’re bored or frustrated." Paying attention to these actions can improve your understanding of canine habits and help you meet your dog’s mental and physical needs.

They repeatedly sneeze while they're playing

Sneezing during play is a common dog behavior with a secret meaning that can reveal what your pup is experiencing. Because of this, the reason behing this action is probably more obvious than you think. “It might mean something went inside his nose,” Millan says. “It’s not a natural thing unless there’s some kind of dust.” Dogs have big nostrils and they breathe through them “like a vacuum,” Millan points out. So, your pup may simply have sucked in an irritant.

Experts Reveal 7 Adorable Signs Your Cat is Loyal

Mon, 03/30/2026 - 5:10am

No matter the species, every animal has its own unique way of showing they care. In the case of cats, as a pet parent, it can be a little harder to decipher what they’re thinking and feeling. Does your cat feel a sense of devotion to you, or would they be happy with any old owner? If you're curious, you're in luck because we had experts reveal 7 signs your cat is loyal. That way, you won't have to guess what your cat's body language and behaviors means and ask yourself if your cat truly loves you. Instead, you'll be able to decode how cats show they are bonded and attached to a person.

"People are always trying to learn more about what their cats think and do. They use their own understanding of human emotion, and the relatively little they know about feline emotion by comparison, to try and characterize feline behavior,” says LeeAnna Buis, certified feline training and behavior specialist at Feline Behavior Solutions. “The tricky part is that people can't ask their cats to confirm that understanding.”

Buis calls loyalty a “bit of a grey area” with cats. “Cats can stick by your side if you're upset and even defend you in times of danger,” she says. “That certainly feels like loyalty. Does that mean your cat‘shows firm and constant support or allegiance, which is the definition of loyal? It’s hard to say for sure because the human experience of ‘showing support and allegiance,’ and even the reasons we might do those things, is likely quite different from your cat's experience and motivation. Because of that, until we find a magical way to have those conversations, we have to use a combination of what we know and what we feel to try and understand our feline family member's behavior."

With that in mind, these are some of the biggest signs you have a loyal cat who is commited to you and will be by your side no matter what.

Related: 7 Signs You Are Your Cat’s Safe Place, According to Vets

A cat that has your back is one that’s truly bonded to you. This kind of loyalty goes beyond simple affection—it shows trust, comfort, and a deep connection that only comes from a cat feeling secure in your presence. See if your cat shows any signs of commitment below so you cna know how they feel about you.

They greet you at the door

Every cat is different and some breeds are more likely to do this than others. But a cat that greets you at the door is clearly invested in you and your whereabouts. "Cats form attachment bonds to their pet parents, which is similar to how human children attach to their parents," says Alison Gerken, DVM, a veterinary behaviorist at the San Francisco SPCA. "Greeting you at the door is another way to show they feel linked to you."

They follow you around

One of the most telling signs your cat is loyal to you is their desire to stay close to you throughout the day by being clingy. This kind of affectionate cat behavior shows a strong bond and highlights how much they trust your presence. "Similarly to greeting you at the door, a cat that follows you from room to room is your cat's way of staying connected,” Gerken says. This subtle form of cat attachment behavior is a clear indicator of loyal cat behavior and a deeper emotional connection between you and your pet.

They groom you

Why does your cat groom you? "Grooming is often a bonding behavior between cats," according to Gerken. "When your cat grooms you—usually through licking—they’re sharing their own behaviors with you. This is a sign that your cat thinks of you as family and who are you more loyal to than that?"

They sleep around you

Another clear sign your cat is loyal is when they choose to sleep on or near your bed. This behavior demonstrates a strong cat-owner bond and shows that your feline feels safe and comfortable in your presence.

In fact, an intruder will need to get through your loyal cat at night before they can get to you. "A cat that sleeps on or near your bed is showing that they’re bonded to you," says Gerken. This affectionate cat behavior is a heartwarming indicator that your furry friend truly values you and is dedicated to you.

Related: 6 Most Popular Cat Breeds to Own in 2026, According to Vets

They flash their tummy

How can you tell if your cat is loyal? While a dog may show their stomach when they want a belly rub, this is a little different for cats, according to Hilary Humm-Beatty, DVM, a veterinarian at Embrace Pet Insurance. "This is a show of trust," she says. "While this behavior can also be playful, it shows that your cat trusts you enough to be vulnerable around you."

They’re relaxed around you

If you've ever wondered, 'Does my cat love me?'pay attention to their body language. "Neutral body language, like smooth fur and relaxed whiskers is a solid sign that your cat feels comfortable in your presence," according to Humm-Beatty. "A relaxed cat will move slowly and without tension, signaling that they feel good in your orbit and love you." This affectionate cat behavior is a subtle yet powerful way your feline shows trust and devotion.

They plop on you

When a cat chooses to rest on your lap or chest, it’s a heart-melting sign your cat is loyal. Beyond enjoying the warmth, this behavior shows attachment, because cats are naturally vulnerable when lying down. While your lap is undoubtedly warm, this can be another sign of trust as well. "Cats are vulnerable when they’re resting, which means they feel comfortable and unthreatened around you in this position," per Humm-Beatty. Therefore, this is how cats show loyalty to their owners.

British Longhair Cat's Plush Tail Rivals the World's Best Feather Duster

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 8:20pm

As a parent to humans and pets, it's been quite a ride watching all the ways each of them has transformed over the years and come into their own. My human kids have sprouted to heights taller than me, while my dogs' muzzles have started to turn gray. Of my felines, it's my Ragdoll kitty who's had the biggest "before" and "after," but mostly because of the level of fluff he's accrued!

British Longhair cat, Blueberry, falls into the same furry category, but with her tail! It's perfectly plush, fluffy, "floofy," and every other similar descriptor you can think of!

@ourcatbiscuit

The difference between 2 months and 1 year old is incredible. Blueberry was already a gorgeous kitten with a good amount of snow-white fur. But the older she's grown, the more of it goes straight to that feather duster-looking tail (Swiffer, eat your heart out)!

Her glow-up left an impression on some of her and kitty sister Biscuit's nearly 34k TikTok followers, with some calling her iconic, regal, majestic, and even groundbreaking. I have to say, she's so much more than her tail, but I do bow down to the "glorious plumage!"

As a certified earth angel, Blueberry has always had the gift of beauty on her side. When she was a wee little babe, her mere presence was enough to send us all into full swoon mode.

All kittens are perfect, but this girl's spellbinding sapphire eyes and teeny-tiny ears matched with her compact frame put her over the top!

@ourcatbiscuit

Some baby Blueberry content to brighten your day 🤍

♬ Stuff We Did (from 'Up') - Piano Version - your movie soundtrack British Longhair Cats Give Other Felines Fur Envy

Blueberry is a good example of how poofy this breed can get. A British Longhair cat's luxurious, soft, "exceptionally fluffy" fur is actually a plush, dense, long overcoat with an even thicker undercoat. With the added mane around their necks and their "ruff" tails, these kitties are often compared to teddy bears or stuffed animals.

With all of these gorgeous fur features, cats like Blueberry require a higher level of maintenance, like regular grooming, to prevent matting. For the dedicated cat parent, it's a small price to pay for something so glorious!

Golden Retriever Gets a Perfect Side Part From Grandma and Looks Ready for Church

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 7:20pm

There is just something about a grandma doing your hair that hits differently. It is gentle. It is slightly judgmental. And somehow, you always end up looking like you are about to attend a very important event.

Apparently, that experience is not just for humans.

@monte_madness

i do prefer to look nice. thank u granma #goldenretriever #cutedogs #dogsoftiktok #funnyvideos #fyp

♬ original sound - Monte Madness

The sweet and hilarious video from @monte_madness shows a very patient Golden Retriever sitting with his grandma while she carefully combs his fur into a perfect little side part.

And not just any side part.

This is a full “you are going to church, and you will behave,” side part.

Related: Golden Retriever's Sad Reaction When Leaving Grandma Will Bring You To Tears

As she softly combs his hair, she starts talking to him in that classic grandma whisper voice, and then casually delivers some unexpected shade.

“You know Grandma misses you living here. I don’t get to do your hair all the time anymore… and I know mama doesn’t do your hair. She doesn’t realize you like to be handsome everywhere you go.”

Ma’am.

Not the drive-by on Mom in the middle of a grooming session.

The dog, meanwhile, is absolutely loving it. Just sitting there soaking up the attention like a tiny, very fluffy gentleman who knows he looks good.

The comments were immediate perfection.

“He looks like he has an 800 credit score.”

“Not the Easter Sunday side part!”

“I feel like he needs a bow tie. It’s giving school picture day vibes.”

Others picked up on the emotional side of it.

“He loves the combs and the whispers and compliments.”

“This is giving Grandma licking her thumb to clean your face vibes, and I like it.”

And honestly, yes. This is a core memory being formed in real time.

There is something so comforting about the way he leans into her, completely relaxed, completely trusting, like this is exactly where he is supposed to be.

Why 'Granddogs' Are So Good for Grandparents Two dogs and a cat with Grandpa.

Image Via: Budimir Jevtic/Shutterstock

Spending time with dogs can be incredibly beneficial for older adults, both emotionally and physically. Dogs provide companionship, reduce feelings of loneliness, and often bring a sense of routine and purpose to the day.

Even simple interactions like petting, talking, or in this case, giving a very serious side part, can help reduce stress and boost overall mood.

For many grandparents, having a “granddog” offers all the joy of having a pet without the full-time responsibility, while still allowing them to form deep, meaningful bonds.

And if that bond includes brushing their fur, giving them compliments, and making sure they look handsome everywhere they go, even better.

Because let’s be honest, this Golden Retriever is absolutely ready for church.

Mini Dachshund Swaddles Himself Like a 'Sausage Roll' and It's Quite Impressive

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 6:10pm

Some dogs can do amazing tricks. Their capacity to learn through training and repetition enables them to accomplish some mind-boggling feats. Franklin the Mini Dachshund is a wonderful example of a canine's ability to master challenging moves. The precious pooch is able to make himself quite cozy in a blanket all on his own using an impressive technique.

@franklin.the.sausage.dog

New trick unlocked #miniaturedachshund #minidachshund #dog #sausageroll #dogtrick

♬ Opening (Spirit of Adventure) - Andrea Datzman & Curtis Green

In the TikTok from @franklin.the.sausage.dog, the darling Doxie stared into the camera as he mentally prepared to perform his "new trick". His mom called out, "Sausage roll!" and he sprang into action.

As he lay on a blanket on the floor, Franklin grabbed a corner of the blanket in his mouth, pulled it over himself as he did a 360-degree roll on his back, then up again on his stomach.

The clever canine perfectly executed a sort of swaddle with the blanket, or in his case, a "sausage roll". After completing the feat, Franklin looked into the camera as if to say, "TA-DA!"

Followers raved over Franklin's skill and precision with the trick, with many asking how he learned such a complicated move.

"What a cutie patootie!" one gushed.

"This made me smile so much," another shared.

"What a smart little one!!!" a fan praised.

"So clever — Would love to know how you did this," someone requested.

Step-By-Step Instructions for the 'Sausage Roll'

In a follow-up post, Franklin's mom shared in the onscreen text how she trained her canine cutie to complete the eye-catching trick as the Doxie demonstrated each step:

  • Step 1: Make sure they can roll over. If they struggle, guide them round with a treat, and say 'roll over' command.
  • Step 2: Practice holding the blanket. We use commands 'take' and 'wait', then 'drop it'. You can hold their mouth closed gently at first so they know what you want them to do.
  • Step 3: Practice picking up the blanket — used the command 'take' and tapped on the corner.
  • Step 4: Combine 'take' and 'roll over'. When they do this, introduce the command you want to use (we use 'sausage roll').
  • Step 5: Practice, practice, practice!
@franklin.the.sausage.dog

As requested, a step by step on how to teach the ✨sausage roll✨ trick! #miniaturedachshund #minidachshund #dog #sausageroll #dogtrick

♬ Oogum Boogum Song - Brenton Wood

Franklin's mom pointed out that she leaves the blanket folded at the side so it's easier for the precious pooch to pick it up.

"Side note: Make sure they are aligned on the blanket and lying down or you might get this," she added as Franklin got a little confused during one attempt and ended up lying down on the blanket in a heap.

If Dachshunds catch on and give this a try, Franklin may have started a 'sausage roll' trend!

Scottish Fold Cat Uses Every Ounce of Energy Chasing a Mysterious Red Dot

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 5:20pm

Few things take a cat's attention more immediately than the sudden appearance of a red dot or a red-colored, mouse-shaped light. One second, the cat is sleeping, calm as could be, and the next, she's darting, pouncing, and locked right in on this mystery new intruder of her space. It's weird but very much cat-like, and it's so funny.

We see that play out in this video of a very cute Scottish Fold, who was calm as could be until her attention was drawn tightly to a red, mouse-shaped light. Everything changed, with no hesitation, and this kitty was ready to use everything in her for this hunt. Take a look!

@nala_abujackson

#scottishfoldcats #fy #viral #fun #funnycat

♬ We Don't Care - Akon

TikTok user @nala_abujackson shared a video of a very cute gray Scottish Fold cat named Nala. She's got the typical features of the Scottish Fold, with delicately folded-over ear tips, super-round head and cheeks, and high-set, round-shaped eyes that are easy to fall in love with.

And in this clip, she's being a typical feline who's found a toy that, for whatever reason, seems to be a top favorite among most cats, even if we don't understand it ourselves.

Related: Adorable Cat’s Ability To Look Sad, Shocked, and Concerned in One Clip Is Legendary

Nala is being a funny cat, as her parents joke in the clip's caption, as she quickly scurries across the tiled floor in her home. She is going back and forth, side to side, speeding up and slowing down, trying to catch a mysterious red mouse-shaped light that's appearing off and then on the floor. It shoots across the tile, then the carpet, then disappears, and she doesn't let it out of her sight for a second.

The comments on the video were filled with very appropriate emojis of red hearts and red heart-eyed smiles.

Scottish Fold Cats Are Known for Their Ears and Personality

Scottish Fold cats are so adorable, even when they're just being typical kitties and running around chasing a dot. And that's pretty expected of these silly felines, who are known for their ears and personalities.

Hill's Pet explains that Scottish Folds are medium-sized cats with very round faces, and it's their ears that create that illusion. They explain that since their heads are round and their ear tips are folded down, they look like they're ball-shaped, which of course, is super cute.

But in addition to their cute and unique features, these kitties, who are known to live around 9 to 12 years, are very charming, easy to live with (because they're so cute), caring, and affectionate. They're pretty good with all family members of any age, as long as they're handled gently and not approached too roughly.

As you can see in this clip of the silly cat chasing the laser light, they love to have fun and can move pretty fast—that's just the best part of being a cat parent.

Mini Schnauzer Uses Cartoon Character Face To Get Him Out of Trouble

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 4:20pm

One of life's greatest gifts is stumbling upon a dog who won the Pixar gene lottery. You know the type of pup I'm referring to: They are born with adorably cartoonish features that cannot be real, and they're 100% inspiration for films like The Lorax without even trying. It's really not fair how cool and cute and cuddly these canines are, but we thank them for blessing our eyes.

Fritz is one of these impossibly precious pups, but even by Miniature Schnauzer standards, he exceeds every expectation. This is exactly what he counts on when Mom catches him doing something he shouldn't!

@alfie.and.fritz

the eye contact 😂 he has no shame

♬ sorry i can't hear you i'm kinda busy - life illustrated

As you can see, Fritz isn't like other Miniature Schnauzers. He's like the upgraded version, the 2.0 update with all the bells and whistles! It doesn't matter if he's discovered the toilet paper and intends to destroy the house with it because he's way too cute to get into any trouble.

Related: Miniature Schnauzer Becomes 'Lorax's' Adorable Twin After Haircut

Having no shame and owning the fact that he, indeed, shouldn't have taken the toilet paper only adds to Fritz's appeal. It's hard work being the main character in Mom's life, so it's understandable if he needed to take the edge off.

If you're not fully convinced that Fritz should have a cartoon movie made in his likeness, take a look at how photogenic he is. Even for dental pictures, this little guy is a pro at stealing hearts and taking names.

@alfie.and.fritz

He was in a silly goofy mood 😂 the best photos ever @V.I.C. Pet Dental Spa #dogsoftiktok #dogdentalcare

♬ original sound - EpicGamingMusic Why Are Dogs Fascinated With Stealing Toilet Paper?

Cutie-pie Fritz isn't the first or last dog who's taken to thieving the TP. The allure of it stems from their primal need to shred and dissect things, as they would in the wild with prey. Toilet paper serves a few purposes: The texture and sound satisfy their senses, and the fact that it unfurls makes it a fun game to chase or destroy.

Pups who sprint into the bathroom to take a roll might be curious or bored, so they're looking for a way to have some fun.

While it's not a good thing to come home to TP pieces all over the house, consider yourself lucky you don't also have a sweet cartoon face like Fritz's to contend with, because that will win every time!

Tuxedo Cat's Stare of Disgust Over Having House Guests Is an Absolute Riot

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 12:16pm

Privacy? Home as a sanctuary? Luna the Tuxedo Cat takes these things very seriously, and when that sanctity is violated, she is not happy. More importantly, she is not afraid to let you know it.

In a TikTok featuring Luna, she walks into the room and discovers—to her absolute horror—that there's an unexpected guest in the house. She is absolutely not here for it. The caption reads, "She's pissed 🤣," which honestly looks more like she’s part terrified and part horrified.

The text overlay says, "She hates when people are over!" and truly, does anyone really like unexpected people at their house? No, the answer is no. As you can see based on Luna's face, pop ins are definitely not cool with her.

@baby_hunnies

She’s pissed 🤣 #catsoftiktok #fyp #justagirl #fypシ #viraltiktok

♬ House featuring John Cale - Charli xcx & John Cale

Luna's reaction is priceless. She looks at the visitor. Then she looks at her human with the most disgusted, disappointed expression a cat can manage.

Commenters immediately had thoughts on Luna's energy.

"The way she looks at you then looks at him says it all," one eagle-eyed fan captured Luna’s double take of judgment.

"Clearly you did not ask permission first🤣," because Luna definitely has a visitor approval process that was not followed.

Related: Majestic Maine Coon Cat Is Neighborhood's 'Resident Thug' and People Can't Get Enough

Luna's just standing there staring, radiating pure disgust. The unbothered guest gets a death stare. Meanwhile, mom gets the, "I'm very disappointed in your choices," look. Luna does not care. Nobody's getting her approval here today.

This is Luna's safe space. Her humans are aware. Visitors were never authorized by Luna. Feelings on the situation have been made abundantly clear on all ocassions.Luna is not playing.

Some Cats Are Just Naturally Suspicious Of New People and Need Time to Adjust

Here's the one thing about Luna's reaction to visitors: not all cats have the same personalities when it comes to new people in their environment. Some appoint themselves official greeter the moment anyone walks through the door. Others, just like Luna, would much rather prefer that no one ever visited their house again. Ever.

A cat who hides, hisses, or in Luna's case, delivers looks of judgment and disgust isn't broken. They're just on the more cautious end of the spectrum when it comes to new people.

Cats who aren’t comfortable with visitors in the house need things done differently than most. Moving too quickly, reaching out to pet right away, making direct eye contact—all of those feel threatening to a nervous or territorial cat even when the intention's completely friendly.

For cats like Luna who seriously don’t want strangers in their personal space, the best approach is let them set the pace. No pressure, no agenda. Just a human and a cat existing in the same space without anything scary happening to either of them.

Comfort is possible but it takes patience and respecting the cat's timeline.

Luna's being straight up from the moment she spots him. This visitor? Not approved. The situation? Absolutely unacceptable. Mom's good judgment? Definitely questionable.Big opinions. Zero apologies. That's Ms.Luna.

Alaskan Malamute ‘Picks up the Pace’ To Trot Home for Treat and It’s So Silly

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 11:00am

Some dogs move through life a little slower than others. For many, this happens as they age; they just can't go as quickly as they used to. For others, though, they have always taken life a little slower. It just depends on the dog.

For the right reasons, even a slow pup might put a little pep in his step. A prime example of that is this precious Alaskan Malamute, who was on a walk when his mom mentioned going home for a treat. The speed boost wasn't much, but it definitely was there:

@duke.and.teddy

He definitely got his treat 🐶💜 #duke #alaskanmalamute #bigdog #doglover #dogmom

♬ original sound - duke.and.teddy

Duke and Teddy are two dogs who have wildly different ways of life. Teddy, a Goldendoodle, moves quickly and loves to cause chaos. Duke, the Malamute, is a little less eager to get where he's going. Coupled with the fact that he's a lot heavier, he's a bit slower.

When his mom mentions the treat, he has about a 5% increase in speed overall, though about a 95% increase in excitement. He can't wait to get home to his treat, but he knows it'll taste just as good if he trots on home at his own pace.

Related: Rare Corgi-Malamute Mix’s Fluffy Cheek Is What Dreams Are Made Of

His little ears get a little floppier as he starts waddling home, too. He's so cute! He knows he always gets a treat after his walk, especially when he's a good boy who doesn't drag mom along on the leash.

This video really shows off the difference between them: Duke wants to chill. He likes light play, maybe a little bit of tug-of-war... If he's feeling crazy. His favorite toy, and one of the only ones he'll throw paws over, is his fish:

@duke.and.teddy

Boy has no chill 😂 #teddy #duke #alaskanmalamute #goldendoodle #dogs

♬ Marching Little Boots - Nimai Walcott

This is so silly. Duke is usually not so direct! He really cares about his fish!

Alaskan Malamutes Are Huge Dogs

Duke's mom is very, very lucky that he doesn't want to run, honestly. If he did, and many Malamutes do, she would probably end up with a serious case of road rash.

Ginger Malamute standing in the sunshine.

Image via Shutterstock / LeeSensei

Although Malamutes aren't classified as a giant breed, they can weigh over 100 pounds. These dogs were also literally bred for pulling, so they're incredibly physically strong and even stronger-willed. If they see something they want, they're going after it, leash or not.

Training is vital for these dogs, especially when it comes to:

  • Exposure to different things, like other dogs, people, and cats, to reduce reactivity.
  • Proper leash behavior (no pulling, yanking, or dropping and becoming an un-draggable heap).
  • General obedience, so you can keep control of them even in moments of uncertainty.

Clearly, Duke is perfect on a leash. No pulling; just a bit of happy trotting!

Watch Adorable Foster Pittie Named Piglet Go on His First Date

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 10:55am

It's been a little while since we checked in on our favorite little foster Pit Bull puppy named Piglet, and boy, has he grown.

He is no longer an itty-bitty, little puppy!

Now he is a big puppy, but he's still so sweet, cute, and a little wild!

And apparently, he is now noticing the opposite sex!

In a new video from the account @we.three.pitties, we see our much larger Pit Bull puppy meeting an adorably cute gray Pit Bull puppy outside.

In the caption, Piglet's foster mom writes, "My itty-bitty foster Pittie went on his first date this weekend, and this is how it went."

Like most first dates, there was some sniffing each other's butts, followed by chasing each other around a tree, and then she appeared to ditch him, but she came back, and they were reunited and had a great time!

They continued to chase each other, though Piglet would not let his new female acquaintance touch his ball (he is still only a puppy).

Looks like his first date went well!

In the caption, his mom wrote, "I think she likes him."

Yeah, Piglet!

He is no longer a baby Piglet, but is a Baked Potato!

But he is still up to his same puppy habits, including sleeping under a blanket with his toys and sitting on the heating vent to get all warm and toasty.

Piglet had a bit of a rough start in life, as he was found shivering and underweight and had to be taken care of immediately at a shelter.

But eventually, he was nursed back to health and has thrived in his foster home with his parents and dog brothers, and now he even has a girlfriend!

Sassy Golden Retriever 'Tattles' on Fur Baby Brother Just Like a Human Sibling

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 10:10am

My two dogs have a typical sibling relationship. They bicker one minute, then snuggle the next. My senior Dachshund tolerates her little Pug brother's antics and puts him in his place when she needs to, like any big sister would. He follows her around and knows she's the boss, yet loves to push her buttons. They're basically inseparable even when they drive each other crazy, like human siblings.

These two Golden Retrievers seem to have a similar dynamic, where Duke got snitched on by his little sister Leona, who clearly enjoyed tattling to mom.

@lifewithduke2025

In the TikTok from @lifewithduke2025, Leona approached her mom with an expression on her face revealing she had some juicy intel on her big brother. Her mother knew immediately that Leona wanted to get Duke in trouble.

"She's up to something — she's a tattle tale," their mom said, then called over to the kitchen. "Dukie, what do you have, honey? Come here."

Duke must have used selective hearing because he didn't leave the kitchen. He probably knew his sister ratted him out on whatever he was doing. Finally, he emerged with a cookie sheet hanging out of his mouth.

"Duke!" his mom exclaimed. "He's got the cookie sheet! Oh my goodness, he's got the baking sheet."

The older Golden proudly brought the metal sheet over to his dog bed to snuggle with, and obviously had no intention of returning it to the kitchen any time soon.

Duke Is a Kitchen Item Collector

There was already a large metal bowl in Duke's dog bed when he added the cookie sheet. The canine obviously enjoys gathering kitchen items rather than toys and was working on a full collection. His mom wasn't thrilled about his latest addition, but let him have it for a few minutes.

"Oh, Dukie, what are you going to do with that?" she asked as the gorgeous Golden started licking the cookie sheet, answering her question. "He shouldn't be licking that, but I'm gonna get it."

Related: Golden Retriever’s Tender Way of Helping Her Puppy Sister Has Us Melting

Followers cracked up at Duke's penchant for pantry products and guessed at his plans.

"Well, he already has the mixing bowl, so yes... He's going to bake," one pointed out.

"Duke is going to make some cookies," another suggested.

"He's giving you a big hint with the mixing bowl and the cookie sheet. You can't have tea without biscuits," someone remarked.

Maybe Duke's next grab will be the blender!

Little Girl Helps Disabled Parrot ‘Feel Like She's Flying’ and She’s So Happy and Flappy

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 10:00am

Parrots are, unfortunately, some of the most commonly mistreated animals in the entire world. A lot of people just don't know what they're getting into, and the bird suffers as a result. They're also very commonly rehomed throughout their lives.

For one disabled Blue-and-Gold Macaw, landing in her forever home was the best thing that ever happened to her. Not only do they adore her and give her everything she needs, but she has an awesome new friend who helps her fly:

@gaspers1115

@✨Kam✨ #macaw #macawsoftiktok #blueandgoldmacaw

♬ original sound - RWEeditz

Alex and Larry are the best parents their pet parents could ask for. Look at how gentle their daughter is with the bird, too; clearly, they've done something right! The parrot's name is Scooter, and she's a happy, healthy Blue-and-Gold Macaw.

Scooter is about 10 years old, and she's relatively new to her forever home. They found her on Facebook when they were searching for a new cage for Polly, their Scarlet Macaw. Her first caretaker had her since she was a hatchling.

Related: Parrot Cracking Open a Can for Mom Proves He Has Serious Beak Strength

According to her, Scooter was born disfigured: though you can't really see it in that video, her legs are splayed out. She can't perch properly, and she can't walk, hence the name: Scooter.

You can see her legs better in this clip. Although her legs are splayed, she lives a very happy, full life, especially with her bestie/sister, Kambre!

Do Birds Need Their Legs to Fly?

Scooter seems to have no problem flapping her wings; it even looks like she might be fully flighted! However, as her mom shows in the videos, she can't fly unless someone, preferably Kam, is holding her.

Woman holding a Macaw like a baby.

Image via Shutterstock / aapsky

Bird technically do not need their legs while they're flying. Typically, they even make sure to tuck in their legs while they fly, which reduces drag and helps them stay in the air longer. However, their legs are an essential part of every other part of flight:

  • They use them to push off their perch.
  • They need them to land safely.

If they can't control their legs, odds are, they'll never get off the ground. Scooter can't even tuck them in, so even if she could get up in the air, she wouldn't be in the air for very long before falling flat on her beak. Luckily, Kam is always ready to help!

Orange Kitten Casually Uses a Straw Like a Tiny Human

Sun, 03/29/2026 - 9:20am

You wake up, you expect a normal morning, maybe coffee, maybe peace, maybe 5 minutes where nothing weird is happening in your house.

And then you look over, and your kitten is drinking out of a straw like he pays bills there.

@argieandeckiesadventures

Woke up to our cat drinking out of a straw 😆 #cattok #kittensoftiktok #gingercat #funnycats #orangecatbehavior

♬ Irresistible rizz - North Valley Group

TikToker @argieandeckiesadventures shared the moment they woke up to theirOrange Kitten casually sipping from a straw, like this is something he has been practicing in secret.

And honestly, if you guessed Orange Cat, you would be correct. Of course, it is.

Related: Orange Polydactyl Kitten’s Nose Swells to the Size of a Baseball After Rare Infection

As a mom of two orange boys, I can confirm there is just something different about them. They are always getting into things, always pushing boundaries, always doing the absolute most for no reason at all. Just pure chaos, gremlin energy wrapped in fur.

People in the comments immediately related. One person wrote, “They never want their own water. Always the human water in the cup,” which is basically a universal cat rule at this point.

Another said, “Mine would just knock the glass on the floor and stare at it like it wasn’t me,” which… that level of denial is familiar.

Others fully embraced the behavior, like, “Mine now has her own cup of water on the table at all times. She loves it and stays out of mine!” which honestly feels like a reasonable compromise.

There were also the warnings, like, “Oh, he’s going to be a troublemaker!” and the simple but accurate, “Orange Cat activities,” which explains everything without explaining anything.

One of my orange boys, Meatball, would absolutely bite the straw, spill the drink, and then act confused about how it happened. Zero accountability.

Why Cats Love Drinking Out of Cups @gnocchiandbear

refuses to drink water out of anything besides his glass cup #britishlonghair #cat #persiancat #kitten #funnycat

♬ NOT CUTE ANYMORE (Sped up) - ILLIT

Cats are naturally drawn to water sources that feel fresh, elevated, or just different from their usual bowl. A cup on a table checks all those boxes. It's higher up, it smells like you, and it feels new and interesting.

Some kitties also prefer running or “moving” water, which is why fountains are so popular. A straw adds that little bit of movement or novelty that makes it even more appealing.

There is also a curiosity factor. If you're drinking from it, it must be important. And if it is important, your cat absolutely needs to be involved.

For some kitties, switching to a fountain or even offering a designated “cat cup” can help redirect the behavior. But for others… they are going to go for your drink no matter what.
