Stunning Samoyed Sings Goodnight to the Internet in the Cutest Way Possible

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 7:00pm

After a long day, even dogs have their own way of winding down.

A fluffy white Samoyed named Mango is going viral for his bedtime routine, and viewers say the gentle sounds he makes feel almost like a lullaby. In a TikTok shared by his human, the pup signals it's time for sleep by letting out a series of musical “awoos,” as if he’s saying goodnight.

According to multiple videos on Mango's account, his melodic vocalizations seem to happen around bedtime each evening -- and any other time he wants to chat! The soothing routine only adds to the cozy, snuggly vibe Mango already exudes thanks to his fluffy white coat.

@mangothesammy

Some goodnight awOos to wind down to 😚 sweet dreams friends✨

♬ original sound - jamille & mango

"Can you please tell your polar bear cub that I love him?" professes one viewer.

"I love the cloud puppers so much!" agrees another.

Sammies like Mango are famously expressive dogs and are often nicknamed “talkers” because of the range of sounds they make when interacting with their people. But Mango’s version feels especially gentle — less like he’s asking for attention and more like he’s settling in after a full day.

The Importance of a Routine

Many pets develop small daily rituals — waiting at the door, following their humans from room to room, or checking on family members before bed — and those routines often become part of what makes a house feel like home. Mango’s nightly “song” is simply an especially adorable example.

But establishing a routine for your dog is more than just sweet; it's necessary. Dogs love knowing what comes next. A simple, predictable routine can make everything easier, from house training to grooming to preventing behavior issues. Consistency helps dogs feel secure and builds confidence.

As puppies, they especially need structure. Regular times for meals, sleep, play, bonding, and potty breaks help them adjust to a new home. Adult dogs benefit too. Daily walks, enrichment, training, and grooming reinforce good habits and help them cope with life changes like moving, traveling, or new family members.

Senior dogs often rely on routines the most. Older pets can become confused, and predictable schedules help reduce anxiety and prevent accidents.

Just don’t be too rigid. Focus on consistent activities rather than exact clock times, and make sure everyone in the household follows the same rules. Clear expectations make for a calmer, happier dog — and a much calmer household. Just ask our comforting canine, Mango.

Sly Golden Retriever Stealing Mom's Trash Can Inspires Pup Sister To Join the Crime Club

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:55pm

Having two dogs means they're bound to pick up each other's habits, however odd (or funny) they may be. If both pups are rescues, some of those habits might be ingrained, for whatever reason, and it'll take time before they learn how to navigate their new lives.

Duke, the Golden Retriever, is known for having a bit of a stealing problem, but now that Leona has joined the family, Mom's got two adorable little bandits to keep her eye on!

Extreme closeup of a Golden Retriever showing off his two tennis balls.

The sly boy has been stealing hearts left and right since his social media debut. His resource guarding shows itself as hoarding, and as heartbreaking as that sounds, he has a supportive new mom who lets Duke be Duke. Leona, the wildcard, is learning with every passing day how to be a better thief, and the two make quite the team!

If you need a warm hug that feels like home, turn up the volume. Mom's voice is chicken soup for the soul.

@lifewithduke2025

I think I am going to spread all of his toys on the floor with a few household items as an enrichment exercise and to see what he chooses! 😳#rescuedogs #rescuedigsoftiktok #funnydogsoftiktok #funnydogs #seniordogsoftiktok

Forget the groundhog. A trash can is Duke's pick of the day, which means spring is on the way! Leona opted for a more traditional item, a stuffie, but she's still learning!

Both senior Golden Retrievers may not fully understand all the ways their stealing and hoarding brightens the day of so many, but we're just glad they've landed in the safest, most loving home possible.

Funny Things Duke Has Stolen

It was only a matter of time before Leona caught on to Duke's ways. In the time since he found his happy ending, the precious pup has had his fair share of items he's taken to his bed.

From an emotional support lamp, a bottle of bubbly, and books (even one about hoarding, ironically), to couch pillows, empty kibble containers, a bag of apples, and a fine china tea set, it's the process Duke goes through selecting an item that's so interesting. He takes his time and carefully chooses something to describe his mood, and it's a funny sight to see.

Whatever Duke chooses next, we'll all be here anticipating what it'll be. Sweet boy (and Leona now, too), keep doing you!

German Shepherd Gets Overwhelmed Meeting New Puppy Sibling and It's Adorable

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:10pm

My Pug mix gets a little nervous around big dogs. If he sees one from a distance, he puts on a show with his nonstop barking, then reels it in as they get closer and he sees the size difference. His Dachshund sister, on the other hand, has no problem spouting off to canines that are considerably larger than she is. It must be that sass and inner confidence that comes with her Doxie heritage.

Sophie the Shih-Tzu puppy seems to have that same hutzpah and wasn't the least bit shy when she first met her German Shepherd brother, Odin.

@odinandsoph

Sophie was in LOVE with her Bubba from the first time she saw him. 😍♥️🎀 And from this moment on they would be best friends forever ♥️🐶🐕 We love you baby girl ♥️🎀🐶 Follow along for our Fairytail! 😍 #loveatfirstsight #shihtzus #germanshepherd #dogsofinstagram #dogsoftiktok

♬ original sound - odinandsoph

In the TikTok from @odinandsoph, the Shih-Tzu literally couldn't keep it together when she was introduced to her new fur baby brother. Sophie didn't seem to notice the extreme size differential as she danced and spun around with joy. It looked like she wanted to jump on top of him.

"Sophie was in LOVE with her Bubba from the first time she saw him," the caption read, with their mom saying in the background, "Aww, she loves him!"

Odin took a calmer approach and started sniffing his new sis. He got a little overwhelmed with Sophie's frenetic activity and tried to head to the other room for a break. The Shih-Tzu pup wouldn't let him out of her sight and followed his every step.

At one point, Odin tried running away from Sophie, but he couldn't outwit the puppy's determination. The German Shepherd tried to surrender to the situation and played with her a little before he needed another breather.

Still, Odin was already acting like a big brother, where he was very careful not to step on his much smaller sister.

What Was Odin Thinking?

Followers loved the sibling interaction and guessed at what was going through Odin's mind when he met the peppy pup.

"German Shepherd: Mom! The furry gremlin is chasing me!" one wrote.

"He’s like, 'Mom, help I’m being chased by a mop'," another joked.

"I love how mindful he is of her — trying to watch his step," a follower raved.

According to the caption, the two fur babies quickly bonded and are now besties: "From this moment on, they would be best friends forever."

PetSmart’s Viral ‘Kitty Darling’ Castle Is the Fairytale Throne Your Cat Deserves

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:50pm

Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

I don't know about you, but our cat demands that we treat her like royalty. Everything is on her terms, and you'd better hop to it when she meows, or you will get an exorbitant amount of attitude thrown in your direction. Now her preference for the royal treatment may, in part, be because she is a tortie, and it's deeply embedded in her DNA. Or it may simply be because she has only cat syndrome and we spoil her with treats, toys, and cozy cat beds.

Whichever one it is, she is definitely the queen of the household and knows it. If you have a little prince or a princess cat at home, you know how it goes, and what better to spoil them with than their very own castle-themed cat tree. If the throne fits, right? PetSmart has the perfect cat tree to satisfy the most regal of cats.

TRIXIE 35-in My Kitty Darling Castle Cat Tree, $89.99 at PetSmart

Nothing says kitty royalty quite like a castle cat tree. The My Kitty Darling Castle Cat Tree is the perfect retreat for cats with the most discerning taste. The cat tree is 35 inches tall and sits on a 24-inch base that is 15 inches wide.

Your cat has their choice of three different cozy hangout spots. They can sit in the top turret of the castle, which has a 6-inch opening leading to a 14-inch-diameter hideout. It's the perfect place to take a royal nap or hide away from all the prying eyes of society.

Next to the turret is a cozy platform with soft, pillowy purple fluff. There, the feline overlords can keep an eye on their kingdom and meow out orders to their human servants as they see fit. If their royal highness decides they don't want to scale the castle to the top, they can curl up in the lower cave, which has a 14-inch diameter as well.

The scratching post is on both floors, offering variety and stretching opportunities. The sisal material is not only durable but also helps keep your furniture safe from wandering claws. The reversible interior bed is machine-washable, while the turret features a fun foil inlay for enrichment and entertainment. Plus, there is a dangling plush toy for your cat to bat around at their leisure. In case your cat gets bored with all those fun features, there is also a removable cloth next to the lower cove with a foil inlay for them to crinkle and crunch.

The castle is recommended for kittens and cats up to 15 pounds. So, if you have smaller felines in your household, they will be able to share the castle. That is, unless one declares themselves top kitty and tosses the other one out!

Sleepy Dachshund Has the Cutest Messy Morning Look

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:20pm

There is something about a dog waking up from a deep nap that feels wildly relatable. Especially when that dog looks like she just rolled out of a 2003 rock concert and forgot what planet she’s on.

Kira, a brown Longhaired Dachshund, was caught mid-wake-up, looking completely lost in the sauce on the sofa. Her ears were doing their own thing entirely. The fur was sticking up in every direction, like she had just survived a category 5 pillow storm. It is the definition of messy morning energy, and honestly, we support it.

The adorable clip from TikTok was shared by @kira.mini.oscar.m, and people in the comments felt very seen. One person asked, “Out late last night?” which is fair because Kira absolutely looks like she partied a little too hard. Another said, “We call that look the wild child.” Accurate. Someone else chimed in, “What? You've never had a bad hair day before?” and honestly, Kira is just brave enough to show hers to the world.

Related: Harlequin Dachshund With Two Different Eyes Looks Unreal

The best part is how calm she looks. No embarrassment. No concern. Just fully accepting her chaotic ear fluff like it's a fashion choice.

If you have ever woken up, looked in the mirror, and thought, well, this is unfortunate, you and Kira are spiritual twinsies.

Do Dachshunds Need a Lot of Grooming? @hollyobee

She low key loves grooming days🧖🏻‍♀️ #minidachshund #doxiesoftiktok #doxielove

♬ Up - Movie Theme - Giampaolo Pasquile

Longhaired Dachshunds like Kira do need regular brushing to keep their fur from tangling, especially around the ears, where it tends to feather and fluff. A few brush sessions a week usually does the trick, and it also helps cut down on shedding. The good news is that most Dachshunds love the attention, even if they wake up looking like tiny rock stars afterward.

Now, I cannot say the same for our Pomeranian, Kingston. He acts like basic brushing is a personal betrayal and nail trims are a crime. We have fully surrendered and just take him in for professional trims because otherwise it turns into a dramatic one-act play titled “Why Are You Doing This To Me.” Some dogs are spa queens. Others are Kingston.

Mini Goat Breaks Out of Goat Jail With His Mouth and It's So Cute

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:01pm

If you’re a parent to a toddler who quickly figures out a way around the baby-proofing devices throughout your home, a savvy Mini Goat has captured our attention for doing the same with a goat’s version of baby-proofing: the gate to his pen. Anyone underestimating the intelligence of goats needs to watch this video just once to understand that goats are among the smartest animals around.

The video caught our attention on TikTok, where the Mini Goat can be seen breaking out of Goat jail—his enclosure—using only his mouth. The crafty Goat doesn’t see the gate’s lock as the end of his escape plan, but merely a stop along the way. Nothing stands between him and the other side of the gate as he methodically works the latch and frees himself.

Surprised viewers were quick to comment on the Goat’s nearly impossible mission. One wrote, “I didn’t know goats were this clever.” Another added, “He looks pleased with himself after achieving his goal.” Another noted, “At this point, he earned the freedom.” Fair point.

As much as we’d like to give this Mini Goat his flowers for ingenuity and escape techniques, he’s not entirely unique. Mini Goats are known for their intelligence, particularly their problem-solving skills. Smart and social, Goats can recognize human faces and can even be leash-trained.

It’s their inquisitive nature that gives Mini Goats the ability to figure out how to open gates and fences, often using their mouths to help facilitate an escape. The good news is that Mini Goats are highly intelligent and highly trainable. The bad news? They tend to see fences and gates as a challenge. Challenge accepted.

Purina, Meow Mix, and Other Pet Favorites Included in Massive Gold Star Distribution Recall—Here’s What You Need to Know

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 2:50pm

Recalls have become a common occurrence over the years. Whether it's our favorite snack food being pulled from shelves or everyday essentials like eggs or chicken, it seems like there is a new recall every couple of weeks, with Salmonella contamination among the biggest offenders. Dog and cat food haven't been spared either.

A recent recall includes nearly 2,000 products spanning multiple brands, affecting consumers' pantries along with their pets. The recall's scale is due to its origin at a distribution center serving three states.

Widespread Recall Effects Dog And Cat Products in Three States View this post on Instagram

Gold Star Distribution, Inc. issued a recall of all its FDA-regulated products held at its facility, including multiple popular pet food brands such as Meow Mix, Purina Dog and Cat Chow, Tidy Cats Litter, and more. The FDA press release states that rodent and avian contamination was discovered in the facility, which ships products to stores in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Indiana.

"The facility was operating under insanitary conditions, including the presence of rodent excreta, rodent urine, and bird droppings in areas where medical devices, drugs, human food, pet food, and cosmetic products were held," said the FDA. "These conditions create a significant risk that products held at the facility may have been contaminated with filth and harmful microorganisms."

If the products come into contact with droppings or urine, microorganisms can be transmitted to people who pick them up, creating a significant health risk. Consumers may be exposed to bacterial infections, including Salmonella, by simply touching product boxes.

Salmonella is incredibly dangerous, especially to certain population groups like infants, small children, pregnant women, elderly people, and the immunocompromised. For these groups, Salmonella infections can be fatal, whereas healthy people may experience only nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and stomach pain. While rare, the infection can also lead to severe illnesses like endocarditis, arthritis, and other bloodstream-activated illnesses.

Another possible disease contracted from touching or consuming the affected products is leptospirosis, which affects both people and their pets. Dogs and cats who are exposed to Salmonella or leptospirosis should be monitored for lack of appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.

Special-Needs Cat Raises Orphan Kittens Like Devoted 'Single Dad'

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 10:55am

In a perfect world, there'd be no pets looking for a home. Like children, they all deserve to be loved, accepted, and given the chance to grow up and live their best lives. Thankfully, there are plenty of amazing fosters who take these angels in, offering something so much more than a chance—hope.

Baby Corn, a rescue cat with special needs, probably never thought about having kittens of his own. Once Mom brought in a crew of orphaned babies, the doting kitty stepped right up as the father figure they all needed, and it's the sweetest sight.

Our little Baby Corn isn't so little anymore! Once smaller than a soda can, runt kitten Corn has grown leaps and bounds in 10 months. He may be differently abled, but that doesn't stop him from giving *his* kittens a real shot at this thing called life. Look at him!

"He's just a single dad who works two jobs, who loves his kittens, and never stops. Thanks to him, Baby Corn's babies are now available for adoption via @Meow Parlour," the caption says. He was clearly made for the job!

I feel proud watching the way Corn took to the babies, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Mom Christine (@whiskstowhiskers) has shared Corn's journey from the beginning, and we all fell in love with his adorable, wobbly ways.

'Baby' Corn Loves His Kittens

As a cat who is still very much a kitten himself, Corn knew right away what the little ones needed. Whether they're cuddled up together for a warm nap or he's teaching them how to play in the most awkward of ways, he did the best job!

@whiskstowhiskers

Corn better watch out. No one is as prepared as Baby Corn and his kittens. Special thanks to Ashleigh, Daryl, Herbie, Jiji, and Wednesday for bringing the training corn all the way from England. #babycorncat #cerebellarhypoplasia #wobblycat #kittens

Seeing how far Corn's come in 10 months is pretty cool. He's grown far past being "pepper bottle tall," now weighing in at a whopping 3.3 pounds (compared to 0.44 pounds at 5 weeks), but he's still the cutest, most wobbly feline who we can't help but root for. No matter how big he gets, he'll still be the most precious kernel on the cob.

Cat's Cute Way of Begging for Attention at In-N-Out Drive-Thru Is Pure Comedy

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 10:25am

Some cats yell for fries with loud meows. Powder prefers a more… theatrical approach.

In this TikTok, Powder the cat is riding with her mom in the In-N-Out drive-thru, and from the second they pull alongside the windows, she is ON. DUTY. The text explains that she was like this the entire time they rolled past each employee window, and honestly, she might deserve a W-2 at this point.

@powdersworldd

She was trying so hard to get their attention lol #catsoftiktok #cats #kitten #funny #foru

♬ original sound - Nenicitaa 🌺

Powder fixes the staff with big eyes, and then does the most dramatic little move: she puts her paws together in front of her chest and starts doing a tiny “praying”/“gimme” motion on repeat. It’s half “please, kind sir,” half “hand over the burger and no one gets hurt.” My dog Lola does a similar begging motion sometimes, but I’ve rarely seen a cat throw this kind of performance at a fast-food window. It’s elite-level emotional manipulation. And really, who among us hasn’t considered a tiny performance if it meant extra fries?

What cracks me up is how sincere she looks. There’s no casual paw wave here. This is a full-body plea. You can almost hear the narration: Hi yes, I am clearly starving and need attention, please ignore my well-fed fluff and give me ten orders of plain patties immediately. And from the amount of attention she’s getting online, it’s working. Powder isn’t just asking for snacks—she’s collecting fans.

If you scroll through her other videos, it’s obvious this isn’t a one-off. Powder has a full, chaotic, extremely fun life with her people, and this little “please, please, please” routine is just one of her many charms. But it’s also a perfect example of how clever cats are about getting what they want. They find the move that makes humans melt, and then they hit replay.

Why Cats Turn On the Drama at the Window

That adorable “praying paws” move isn’t just for laughs—it’s communication. Behavior experts say cats often develop attention-seeking habits like pawing, meowing, or staring when they learn that those behaviors reliably get a response from their humans. Rover breaks down common cat attention-seeking behaviors and notes that many kitties use paws, eye contact, and strategic body language when they want food, play, or affection, especially during shared rituals like mealtimes or, in Powder’s case, the drive-thru line.

So if your cat starts doing tiny air-paw prayers next time you hit a drive-thru, don’t be surprised—they’ve simply figured out that in the game of snacks, drama is a very effective strategy.

'Geriatric' Cat Siblings Have 'Slowest Fight In World History' and It's Hilarious

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 10:10am

I have a special place in my heart for senior pets. My Dachshund is 15 years old and can still have some pep in her step, though she spends much of the day napping. Our fur babies may slow down as they get older, but they still bring so much love and joy to their families.

Xena the orange cat and her 16-year-old feline sister, Cheese, are in the older generation bracket and their reflexes aren't what they used to be. They recently got into a scuffle, but it moved at a snail's pace.

@ashandjay04

#catsoftiktok #gingercats #badcatsoftiktok

♬ Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (Tchaikovsky) - Ian Post

In the TikTok from @ashandjay04, Cheese sat on the living room rug as Xena walked over and gave her a hard glare.

"Get ready for a geriatric cat fight," the onscreen text cautioned. "Slowest fight in world history."

The two stared each other down for a while before Cheese started "shifting to get ready" for some sort of slow-motion rumble. She wound up and landed the first swat on her ginger sister's face, breaking the silence.

"Ginger processing..." the onscreen text explained as the two resumed their staring contest. Maybe they were both contemplating some strategic moves, but there was no action for quite some time. Xena looked around, almost like she forgot they were fighting.

Then, Cheese made her second move with another swat to the face. "Ginger brain cells loading," the story continued, as the affronted feline looked at Cheese as if to say, "Bring it on."

Sluggish Swatfest Continued

Though no one would call this a nail-biter, the quarrel continued with Cheese packing another punch on the top of Xena's head. A Calico cat appeared in the background to see what all the ruckus was about. Xena took note of the audience and checked behind her to make sure the Calico didn't move in for a "sneak attack".

Related: Orange Cat’s Outrage Over Mom Letting in a Stray Is Cracking Us Up

Once again, Xena looked a bit lost until yet another cat entered the scene. At that point, the ginger hightailed it out of there. She knew when she was outnumbered.

Followers got a kick out of the slow-moving squabble and shared some comical comments.

"Ginger kitty is like 'I'm too old for your nonsense'," one remarked.

"Let me tell you something... wait, hold on... who are you?" another joked.

"Orange cat looks like she frequently forgets what she's doing," a follower noted.

"She’s trying to remember how she used to throw hands back in the day," someone posted.

Hopefully, these two felines will make up — if they remember they argued.

Adorable Italian Greyhound Looks Like She Has Wacky Spaghetti Arms

She punches. She prances. She stands upright and waves those tiny arms around like she’s waving them in the air like she just don't care. It is spit coffee out of your nose funny.

The comments understood the assignment.

“Killing it with interpretive dance. Interesting tactic.”

“Ma’am… your baby deer is broken.”

“Bro unlocked ‘preying mantis fighting style.’”

“That was a lot of activity with very little productivity much like my workday.”

“She plays in 2x speed.”

“There are sticks flying everywhere!”

“Wave yer arms in the air like you don’t care!”

And truly, how many times did you watch this? Yes.

Italian Greyhounds are known for being elegant, sensitive little athletes. They are built like miniature deer, all long legs and delicate frames. But when excitement hits, that elegance evaporates and you get pure unfiltered noodle energy.

Nori’s arms seem to have a mind of their own. They flail with purpose. They jab at invisible opponents. They windmill with confidence. Meanwhile, the ball rolls around like it has no idea what it has unleashed.

It is chaotic. It is also impossible to stop replaying.

Italian Greyhounds are affectionate, loyal, and deeply bonded to their families. They tend to be sensitive and thrive in calm environments where they can snuggle just as much as they sprint. While they are playful and energetic in bursts, they are also champion blanket burrowers who love warmth and closeness.

Because of their delicate build, they need gentle handling and safe spaces to zoom. But for families who appreciate a little dramatic flair mixed with a lot of cuddling, Italian Greyhounds can make wonderfully devoted companions. Just be prepared for the occasional spaghetti arms performance.

Rescue Dog Who Looks Like Will Ferrell Has the Sweetest Reaction to New Blankie

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 8:20am

If you've ever adopted a rescue dog, you know all the ways they make and break your heart with one glance. While many of them have a whole lifetime's worth of stories in their eyes, some of them look like they're actually human with human features and human expressions that make you wonder if they're even a dog at all!

One such rescue dog, Lil’ Max, may not have come from the shelter, but the former stray pup from the woods fits all the criteria above, and then some. He's so people-like that even showing Mom gratitude over a blanket will have you second-guessing whether he's canine or a human man.

There's no way you're ready to see sweet Max, so I suggest you just dive right in and see for yourself!

i never imagined a little dog could write his own content. but he’s been surprising everyone since he emerged the woods from the woods, as always, with no context. anyways, the blankets rule. whole family loves it. only regret is not getting a bigger one- worth the money. #humandog #dreamerblanket

"I never imagined a little dog could write his own content. But he’s been surprising everyone since he emerged from the woods, as always, with no context," the caption says in part.

If it's not Mom's soothing voice that'll get you right in the feels, it's sweet Max and his ever-human, Will Ferrell-looking pouty expression. This dog's whole vibe could mend any wound, and his mass of loyal fans agree that this blankie was the best thing to ever happen to the pup.

"Toasty little cinnamon roll, Max is one of the best kinds of Max," one person wrote. "I can’t. Too much serotonin when I see Max. I just want to pick him up and squeeze him," another shared.

Others praise his human-like face, writing, "He’s so humble and has a heart filled with gratitude. I deeply respect that boy."

Max Is Truly One of a Kind

I've seen enough adorable and memorable dogs in my life to know that this rescue dog is special. Sure, he looks like he's constantly assessing every situation in deep thought like a little old man, but he's so much more than an internet meme.

The curly-haired cutie does do dog stuff every now and then, although, even during playtime, he has something about him that pulls you in. Maybe it's the eyes, or the way he uses them to stare into every soul, but Max is the G.O.A.T!

In addition to being a phenomenal, Emmy and Golden Globe-award-winning actress, there are a few other things Jennifer Aniston is known for: her love of dogs and her devotion to fitness.

She is also America's Sweetheart, but we'll focus on the dogs and workout component today.

Aniston is the mother of three dogs currently: Clyde, a Schnauzer mix, who inspired her children's book "Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life," Sophie, a white Pit Bull mix, and Lord Chesterfield, a white Shepherd mix, whom she rescued in 2020.

She was also a devoted mother to Norman, a Welsh Corgi who passed away a few years ago, and Dolly, a white German Shepherd, who also passed away.

In an interview with People in 2025, she said of her dogs, "The dogs are everything. They're living, breathing, pure, good love. It's literally having love bombs just sitting on either side of you."

Aniston, 56, is also known for being in impeccable shape and is a big fan of the PVOLVE workout.

PVOLVE is a low-impact, high-intensity workout based on everyday movements that promotes strength and sculpting by using proprietary equipment, including the P.ball, P.band, and gliders.

It is excellent for helping strengthen and shape those very deep muscles, but it's also good for protecting joints.

Golden Retriever Joins Mom and Dad's Wedding Dance and Pure Sweetness Ensues

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 7:32am

Some couples practice their first dance with a glass of wine and a YouTube tutorial. This couple practiced with a Golden Retriever named Wally… who absolutely refused to sit this one out.

In the TikTok video, we first see them in their living room, going over the steps of their wedding dance. It’s sweet and a little awkward in the charming way all practice dances are. But before long, there’s a third partner in the mix: Wally. The caption says it all: “When we started practicing our wedding dance, we noticed our dog always wanted to be involved.”

@wally.meets.world

Because he deserved his own special dance 🥺 #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok

♬ I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Madison Malone

And he really does. While they turn and sway, Wally keeps trotting into the middle, looking up with that classic Golden face that says, Oh, you’re dancing? With OUT me? Interesting choice. Instead of shooing him away, they lean into it. Cue the next caption: “So we decided to see what it would be like if we just made him a part of it.”

That’s when the magic happens. They start to gently incorporate him. He isn’t a prop. He’s a partner.

Then we cut to the big day.

View this post on Instagram

Dressed up, surrounded by family and friends, they step out for their wedding dance…and there’s Wally, right there between them. Literally in their arms, held close as they sway together like a perfect, slightly furry trio. It’s not a polished ballroom routine; it’s better. It’s a love story that includes the whole family.

I’ll be honest: a performance like that from my dog Lola is probably not in the cards. She’d be more likely to turn the first dance into a game of “catch me if you can” than a tender moment. But even we both went, awwww at Wally, because there’s something so right about seeing a couple say, “This is who we are, and he’s part of us.”

It’s a reminder that weddings don’t have to be stiff or traditional to be meaningful. Sometimes they’re at their most beautiful when a big golden goofball is happily wedged between you and the person you love.

Including Your Dog in the Big Moments

Wally’s starring role is heart-melting, but it also shows how powerful it can be to include pets in meaningful rituals. The American Kennel Club notes that more couples are finding ways to safely and thoughtfully involve their dogs in weddings—whether that’s as ring bearers, aisle walkers, or just emotional support floofs on the dance floor. They recommend practicing ahead of time, planning for noise and crowds, and making sure there’s a handler dedicated to your pup’s comfort so the experience is fun, not overwhelming.

If your dog is more Lola than Wally, that’s okay too. Even a quick photo, a quiet pre-ceremony cuddle, or a paw-print on your décor can be enough to say, you’re family, and this day is ours.

Bulldog Can't Get Enough of HIs Sister Kissing His 'Mushy' Face

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 7:30am

When it comes to dogs and their human babies, few interactions are more heartwarming than a pup patiently enduring his human baby’s version of affection. Despite the best of intentions, human babies don’t always play with or dote on their dogs in the way a pup might prefer. A social media video crossed our feed today completely encapsulating this dynamic, yet the playful pup remains cool, calm, and completely loving all the attention.

Here’s what happened.

@stacywood4

#fatboy #bully #elton john #bullybreed #dogsoftiktok

♬ Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Remastered - Elton John

In the social media video, a toddler girl can be seen adorably doting on her dog. Over and over, the little girl kisses the dog with full-mouth smooches that might make some dogs run and hide. Bulldogs may not know how to interpret human kisses, but they are generally patient and calm when showered with affection. This pup shows remarkable tolerance with his ponytail-clad human sister, a reminder of how deeply dogs become part of the family, especially alongside their human baby siblings.

As the little girl smothers her pup in affection, the canine keeps his cool, reacting only by licking his lips repeatedly, his way of kissing back or signaling mild stress. Either way, this sweet dog is incredibly kind to let the little girl smooch him again and again.

Viewers on social media were quick to compliment the dog’s gentle demeanor.

One commented, “His body language says he’s loving every minute of this!”

Another added, “And then she kept kissing his cute mushy face.”

“Absolutely precious,” added another.

“Two smushy lil babies,” gushed one more.

If you’re wondering whether this Bulldog actually enjoys all the affection, he probably does. Judging by the tail wags and his posture leaning into the little girl, both telltale signs of a happy dog, this pup seems quite content.

With this much attention and affection coming his way, it’s safe to say this dog is well loved. And judging by his sweet reactions in return, it’s just as safe to assume he’s loving her right back.

Tiny Long-Haired Chihuahua in Pink Sweater Deemed 'Cutest Dog on the Planet' by Adoring Fans

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 7:10am

I'll admit I'm completely biased, but I think my two fur babies are the most adorable dogs in the universe. My senior Dachshund has the sweetest eyes that can make anyone melt, and my Pug mix is a chunky barrel of a boy that wins everyone over. Again, I realize I'm not objective, but these are facts in my eyes.

Winnie the little Chihuahua also has plenty of charm and is causing quite a stir on social media.

In the TikTok from @hostilerabbits, Winnie was lying in bed with an adorable expression on her face. Her long, silky brown fur was beautifully complemented by the stylish pink sweater she wore.

Winnie kept wagging her tail and seemed to realize the camera remained on her, almost like she was posing for a wholesome close-up. Her calm and content demeanor gave her an air of serenity and sophistication.

The post alluded that Winnie was just 3 pounds, explaining her very petite physique. Followers fell in love with the fur baby and raved of her beauty in the comments.

"Aww I could just hug and kiss her," one wrote

"The way my jaw dropped," another remarked.

"Hi Winnie, love your little side eye and tail wag. Kisses to your little self," a follower gushed.

"How does it feel to have the cutest dog on the planet?" someone asked.

"You are so beautiful," a fan posted.

Teacup Chihuahuas Need Special Care

Chihuahuas that weigh under 4 pounds are known as "Teacup" or "Micro" Chihuahuas due to their extremely small size. They need a nutritious, balanced diet of small meals. Excess food can lead to digestive issues and unhealthy weight gain in these tiny fur babies.

Teacup Chihuahuas should have plenty bathroom breaks because of their small bladders. They tend to get cold easily, so be sure to have sweaters and warm blankets on hand. These little Chis require moderate exercise of approximately 30 minutes a day.

And, like Winnie, these Micro Chis are over-the-top adorable.

Have you ever walked into a room, forgotten why you're there, and asked yourself aloud, "What brought me in here?"

Great point. I'm sure the first time that voice wakes you from a sound sleep, it would be pretty jarring.

When Are Parrots Most Chatty?

If you're wondering if Parrots talk more at certain times of the day, they do. When are they most talkative? Experts say dawn and dusk are the periods when birds have the most to say. Why? Well, when they're in the wild, this is the time they go and forage for food. That chatter is their way of communicating to others, letting feathered friends know they've found a feast.

7 Heartwarming Signs Your Cat Respects You

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:10am

R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Ever wonder if that means anything to your kitty? Since cats communicate differently than humans, it can be hard to know how they truly feel if you can't read their feline body language, which most pet parents struggle with. To help you understand your cat better, we’ve rounded up 7 heartwarming, vet-backed signs your cat respects you, so you can spot the ways your furry friend shows loyalty, trust and admiration.

If you start to watch your furbaby closely, you'll eventually start to pick up on signs your cat looks up to you. "The assumption that cats are aloof or self-centered is more a human expectation rather than a cat’s true behavior," explains Dr. Ambika Vaid Sidhu, DVM, a veterinary nutrition consultant and advisor to Badlands Ranch. Heartbreakingly, Dr. Sidhu says this unfair rap can lead people to underestimate the interaction your kitty craves. "Just because cats like to be independent does not mean that they don’t enjoy human interaction and play time," Dr. Sidhu explains. "Pet owners just need to learn how to gauge their behaviors and what they are saying."

These behaviors include signs that your cat respects you. "Cats are incredibly communicative," adds Dr. Victoria Carmella, DVM, a veterinary advisor at Pet Honesty. "Understanding how they show love and respect can help deepen your bond and improve your understanding of their behavior." So, if you've ever thought to yourself, “Does my cat respect me?” here are some subtle and adorable cat behaviors that indicate your furry family member sees you as someone worthy of their admiration. Read on to discover all the subtle signs your cat respects you that you've probably been missing out on. Once you do, you'll realize that your cat loves you and is loyal to you.

Dr. Carmella shares that cats are actually highly capable of forming loving bonds with their people. These deep relationships often include a healthy amount of respect. You just need to know what to look for. These vet-backed behaviors show when your furry companion truly values you and feels safe around you.

1. Slow blinks

Often called a cat kiss, a slow blink is essentially a cat's way of puckering up, only it's far more subtle. So, in terms of cat body language, it's basically how a cat communicates and talks with its eyes, letting you know that they love you and they like being around you.

"When a cat's slow blinks at you, it is a sign of immense trust and respect," Dr. Sidhu explains. "It takes time for cats to get comfortable around a new person, but when they share this behavior with you, it means a bond has been formed."

2. No-strings-attached closeness

How can you tell if your cat respects you? Well, if you have a pet cat, one of the most meaningful signs your cat respects you is when they choose your company without expecting anything in return. A cat that admires you won't have ulterior motives for snuggling or wanting to be in the same room as you. "Cats are independent and don’t need to be around their human to survive and be happy," Dr. Sidhu points out. "If your cat chooses to sit in the same room or couch as you, without screaming or yowling for food, this is a sign that they respect you."

3. Deep sleeps

Cat naps are more than quick and light snoozes. Many of the signs that your cat loves you and respects you also point to a deep trust. This trust is super evident if your cat feels safe enough to sleep soundly around you. Dr. Carmella shares that it also suggests your cat feels emotionally comfortable around you and, if they are sleeping on you, probably physically cozy, too.

Related:7 Words Cats Hate the Most, According to a Vet

4. They listen to your signals

The ways cats show respect can different, though if you notice that they listen to you, that's a sign your cat respects you. While most felines don't enjoy hearing the word no (ditto for people), you should take a look at how your pet reacts next time you say it. By doing do, you can better understand how they feel about you. "When a cat listens when you set boundaries, that is a sign of respect," Dr. Sidhu says. "If a cat responds to your change in tone or stern 'no,' that is not obedience but actually a sign of respect in a cat."

5. They don't try to dominate

Dr. Sidhu says one sign your cat respects you is more about what your kitty does not do. In fact, cats that respect their owners and feel safe with them are far less likely to engage in dominance-driven or territorial behaviors. "Most cats will attack their humans' ankles or show territorial aggression," Dr. Sidhu explains. "However, a calm cat that sees you as their trustworthy leader and respects you will not."

Overall, in terms of cat behavior and body language, respect often shows up as emotional regulation. So, if your cat remains relaxed around you, doesn’t test boundaries, and moves comfortably through shared spaces in your home, it suggests you have a strong bond built on trust rather than control with them. Therefore, it's one way how cats show loyalty to you.

6. They groom you

Tongue baths, anyone? If your cat regularly licks your hair, hands, or even your face, it’s more than just quirky behavior, it’s a sweet sign your cat respects you. In the world of feline behavior, grooming is a deeply social act reserved for trusted companions, so when your cat includes you, it means you’ve officially been accepted into their inner circle. "Licking your hair or skin is a form of grooming and reflects a deep, affectionate bond and mutual respect," Dr. Carmella notes.

7. They show you their bellies

One of the most heartwarming signs your cat respects you is when they roll over and expose their belly, which is a behavior rooted deeply in cat body language, trust and vulnerability. While dogs often present their bellies as an open invitation for affection, the meaning is very different for felines and can reveal their mood and feelings toward someone. "Unlike dogs, a cat showing their belly is often a sign of vulnerability and trust," Dr. Carmella says. "Note: they are usually not asking for belly rubs!"

6 Low-Maintenance Cat Breeds, According to a Vet

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:10am

When you think about it, cats have a reputation for being low-effort pets. Certainly, many kitties, especially easygoing cat breeds, generally have fewer needs than other animals do. For instance, you don't have to get home to walk an indoor cat like you do with a dog, which is a huge plus for some animals lovers who want to become a pet parent. So, if you're curious which are the best cat breeds for busy owners so you can find a furry companion to fit in with your lifestyle, we rounded up 6 low-maintenance at breeds, according to vets.

Even though these chill felines are relatively hands-off pets and don't require as much attention as some others might, keep in mind that they do still need to be cared for in order to keep them happy and healthy, stresses Dr. Liza Cahn, DVM, a veterinarian contributor with Embrace Pet Insurance. "It’s true that many cats do not require the same kinds attention that dogs do, however, easy-going cats do have distinct needs," Dr. Cahn states. "While cats may be known for being aloof or independent, social interactions, physical contact on their terms and interactive play with people and other animals remain an important part of their well-being."

So, what kind of cats tend to fall into the category of easy-to-care-for cat breeds? "Lower-maintenance cats are usually shorthaired as they require less grooming, as well as brachycephalic or flat-faced cats since they have a lower risk of breathing problems and cats that have moderate energy levels and adaptable personalities," explains Dr. Cahn. If those kinds of felines sound like your purrfect housemate, read on to find out more about the specific ones that check those boxes. You'll be surprised at how many popular cat breeds made the cut.

6 Low-Maintenance Cat Breeds

If you love cats but have a busy schedule, choosing the right breed matters. These low-maintenance cats are known for being independent, adaptable and easier to care for than others. Vets recommend the breeds below as some of the best cats for busy owners and first-time pet parents. The best part is, they include big cat breeds and smaller cat breeds that are downright adorable.

1. British Shorthair A pretty and low-maintenance cat on a rug.

Getty Images Tiago Miranda 500px

When it comes to pretty cat breeds, this one is also easy to care for! In fact, having a British Shorthair can be as charming as a week-long escape across the pond. Another bonus? Life with a British Shorthair can span two decades, as they are a long-living cat breed.

"These teddy bear cats tend to be reserved, calm and gentle," Dr. Cahn says. They are also less likely to meow for attention than some other breeds and they don't need to be picked up and played with all the time. Basically, their personality, coupled with lower grooming needs associated with a short coat, often makes them lower-maintenance."

Breed Info:
  • Notable Characteristics: Dense coats, round face with chubby cheeks, prominent jowls
  • Weight: 7-17 pounds
  • Life Expectancy: 15-20 years
2. American Shorthair A calm cat on a bed.

Getty Images Viktoriya

Talk about a cute cat breed! American Shorthairs are sweethearts with long lifespans and, as their name implies, short coats that don't require lots of grooming. It's no surprise vets recommend them to people who want an easy cat breed of their own.

"Sweet, laid-back and social, American Shorthairs have moderate energy levels and are often equally content to engage in play or petting sessions with their owner or nap on the couch," Dr Cahn raves. "They’re often considered low-maintenance because they’re typically moderate in energy, social but not overly demanding, and have a short coat that’s easy to care for."

Breed Info:
  • Notable Characteristics: Medium-sized, muscular, short coats
  • Weight: 6-15 pounds
  • Life Expectancy: 15-20 years
3. Russian Blue A sweet Russia Blue cat posing for a picture.

Getty Images Cavan Images

Which cats are low-maintenance? The Russian Blues is one of them! These technically have coats in a gorgeous shade of gray, yet their short hair is a big pro for people looking for cat breeds that are easy to groom. "Their short, dense coat is naturally water-resistant and doesn't mat, and they are one of the hardier breeds with very few genetic health predispositions," Dr. Cahn says.

Dr. Cahn adds that Russian Blues generally have unfussy personalities, too. "This rare breed is often known for being independent and aloof, and their quiet nature makes them excellent pets for those living in small apartments or shared spaces," Dr. Cahn says. "They bond deeply with their owners too, but can be shy around strangers."

Breed Info:
  • Notable Characteristics: Deep gray coat with silver tips, green eyes (adults), low grooming needs
  • Weight: 7–12 pounds
  • Lifespan: 15–20 years

4. Abyssinian A sweet cat breed for busy owners laying on the couch.

Getty Images Vera Chitaeva

It's hard not to love an Abyssinian, especially if you're someone who prefers easy to groom cat breeds, but wants a furry playmate. Known for their short coat and minimal shedding, Abyssinians are often considered easy-care cats that thrive as active indoor pets, making them a great option for busy owners who still want an affectionate companion.

"Curious and intelligent, this breed loves to explore and interact with their environment, and can benefit from feline enrichment such as high perches, cat furniture and puzzle toys," Dr. Cahn says. "While affectionate with their families, they are often too active and playful to spend much time curled up on your lap. While they have high energy and enrichment needs, they require little grooming."

Breed Info:
  • Notable Characteristics: Short, silky fur, low shedding, medium-sized
  • Weight: 8–12 pounds
  • Lifespan: 9–13 years
5. Chartreux A friendly cat relaxing.

Getty Images Anna Lomovtseva

Another easy cat breed to take care of if you're a want-to-be cat owner is a Chartreux, which is one of the rare cat breeds considered "natural," AKA they are developed without human intervention. "This chill cat breed is often described as quiet and polite," Dr. Cahn says. "They tend to enjoy being near their people without being constantly demanding, and they’re not typically very vocal. Their coat is short-to-medium and does not require excessive grooming."

This combination of a calm personality, moderate grooming needs, and adaptability to indoor living makes this a great cat breed for beginners or a great cat breed for apartments since they are low-fuss cats that fit easily into any household.

Breed Info:
  • Notable Characteristics: Blue coat, short fur, muscular build
  • Weight: 6–12 pounds
  • Lifespan: 12–15 years
6. Burmese An easy-going cat being held by its owner.

Getty Images Liz Whitaker

Burmese cats are sweet, playful and affectionate, making them popular pet cats for people who want companionship without constant upkeep. As a short-haired cat breed, Burmese cats don’t require frequent grooming, which means there will be less shedding around your home compared to longer-haired breeds. "They can be low maintenance with grooming because of their short coat and generally tidy appearance, and many are socially flexible and enjoy routine, but they often crave attention and interaction," Dr. Cahn says.

All-in-all, these mid-size to big cats are often considered one of the best low-maintenance cat breeds for owners who want easy-care cats that are loving, interactive, and well-suited for indoor living.

Mini Therapy Horse Visits Dunkin' Drive-Thru, and TikTok Is Eating It Up

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 1:27am

An employee manning the window during a routine Dunkin' run got the surprise of her morning when the next customer was none other than a miniature therapy horse named George. And George wasn't horsing around; he was on his best behavior waiting for some Munchkins, and the internet can't stop smiling.

This Dunkin' employee has likely seen her fair share of backseat dogs waiting for treats, but based on her stunned expression when she saw George at her window, this was her first encounter of the equine variety. And George cuts quite the figure with his snow-white mane and jaunty black cap. He waits unfazed for his order and allows the employee to feed him by hand while she shrieks in amazement.

"He’s more polite than most people," commented one admirer.

"Now I need a car horse," admitted another.

The sweet employee also commented, "Omg I’m famous, it was so nice meeting you!" She then posted her own video of meeting George to her account. Her reaction to feeding the dapper horse is priceless.

But George does more than run on Dunkin'. He's also a therapy horse who spends time visiting healthcare facilities to spread joy, wearing extra-large purple angel wings.

The Other Service Animal

You probably picture a dog when you think of a service animal — but it’s not the only option. Miniature horses can also be individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability and, when reasonable, must be accommodated much like service dogs.

These tiny but mighty helpers work similarly to their canine counterparts. They can guide people with visual impairments, provide balance and stability during dizzy spells, retrieve dropped items or medication, and even help ground someone during a panic attack. Like any service animal, they must be highly trained, calm in public, and completely responsive to their handler.

Miniature horses may be small (most stand under 3 feet tall), but their impact is anything but. These gentle animals are increasingly being used as therapy companions, offering comfort, emotional support, and stress relief to both children and adults in places like hospitals, schools, and crisis centers.

Their calm, non-threatening presence makes them especially helpful for trauma recovery and special-education settings. Therapy minis are also impressively trained — they can navigate elevators, visit patients bedside, and even perform simple tricks to engage and encourage interaction.

For many people, especially those going through difficult moments, a quiet visit from a tiny horse can be unexpectedly powerful — proof that healing sometimes comes in very small, very sweet packages.
