French Bulldog Meets New Fur Baby Brother, and His Unimpressed Reaction Says It All

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 10:10am

Introducing a new member of the family can be both wonderful and challenging, especially for siblings. Older brothers and sisters may have mixed feelings when a baby enters the picture and becomes the center of attention.

The same goes for fur babies, like Lenny the French Bulldog clearly illustrates when he met his new puppy brother for the first time.

♬ Dramatic accompaniment for a scene like a groping battle(1528922) - Yuki Hotta

In the TikTok from @lennysfrenchieworld, Lenny ran outside like he usually does when he noticed a French Bulldog puppy standing in his backyard. He stopped in his tracks and sniffed the tiny stranger, unsure of the reason for his presence.

After a few thorough whiffs, Lenny stomped away and gave his mom an angry stare, as if to say, "What is the meaning of this?" The outraged expression on the Frenchie's face spoke volumes.

Meanwhile, his new puppy brother began sniffing Lenny in an attempt to start building a brotherly bond. Lenny let the tiny pooch know he was invading his personal space and tried chasing him away.

This impromptu dance continued for a few moments as the puppy kept trying to win his older brother over, though Lenny made his frustrated feelings quite clear.

"Lenny was not impressed with his new baby brother," the on-screen text noted, with the caption adding, "I don't know what we were expecting — Lenny is the boss after all."

Followers got a kick out of the sibling interaction and noted Lenny's reaction.

"Lenny said it’s only one man in this house," one remarked.

"Aww, his face 'Why? Was I not enough for you?!'” another posted.

"Lenny is not pleased with you bringing over strangers," a follower commented.

"The look of betrayal on his face," someone pointed out.

Tips for Introducing a New Frenchie

Giving your Frenchie a sibling of the same breed can provide numerous benefits, such as a built-in playmate, reduced separation anxiety, and improved exercise and socialization. Some steps to ensure the two Frenchies start off on the right paw include:

Related: Tiny French Bulldog Puppy Is the Cutest Little Potato and People Can't Take It

  • Introduce the two pooches in a neutral space so there are no territorial issues.
  • Provide each dog with their own space, beds, bowls and toys.
  • Supervise all interactions and playtimes until they are fully acclimated to each other.
  • Slowly increase their time together.

With time and patience, Lenny and his fur baby brother will most likely become BFFs.

Greyhound Realizing Sister Is ‘Missing Something’ After Surgery Is Too Funny

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 10:00am

Greyhounds are awesome dogs. They're so awkward but so graceful at the same time. It's because their faces are so lean and their ears are so floppy: they always look like they have bad news to give.

Recently, one Greyhound found out he had some bad news to give his sister. She had to have surgery at the vet, and when she came home... He found that she's definitely missing something:

@lindseyenslen

Bailey got her bandage removed today after her amputation 🤍Goose conducted a thorough inspection. #greyhound #tripawd #dogsoftiktok #greyhoundsoftiktok #osteosarcoma

Lindsey Enslen has raised her two Greyhounds, Goose and Bailey, since they were puppies. They're very well-loved and super well cared for, but sometimes, things just happen. Bailey was recently diagnosed with a type of bone cancer called osteosarcoma and to keep it from advancing further, they opted to amputate her leg.

She's in a very supportive home, so recovery will hopefully be easy on her: her mom has already started making adjustments so she can continue doing all of the things she loves. Goose, however, isn't sure. He seems to be wondering why she's not more concerned that she's missing a whole leg...

Bailey had some post-op complications, but she's home now and doing much better. She's still mostly restricted when it comes to playing, but she's not letting anything get her down:

I mean, all of my dogs have all four legs, and they don't run as fast as Bailey. That's impressive! In time, she'll only get smoother and faster. Just because she lost a leg doesn't mean she can't have fun.

How to Improve a Tripod Dog's Quality of Life

Though tripod dogs can live long, healthy and happy lives, adjustments will make all the difference. There are things you can do before surgery to prepare, but you won't really know their situation until they come home and heal a little.

Wirestock / Getty Images

Before your tripod dog comes home, you should make sure to put in ramps up to their favorite spots. Putting down rugs in the areas they frequent will help, too, as keeping traction in those first few days will be difficult.

As they come home and begin the healing process, you should:

  • Encourage them to walk as much as is comfortable for them.
  • Adjust the way you play with them: try not to throw the ball as far when you're playing fetch, for example.
  • Make sure to give them time to rest: losing a limb can put excess pressure on their remaining joints.

You should also keep an eye on the wound to make sure it's healing properly: pain or irritation will slow every part of the process, including their desire to start returning to normal life. Luckily, Bailey is doing great!

Precious Pink Lovebird Is Peak Girly Pop and Probably Smells Like Strawberries

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 9:15am

Pet birds already have a way of stealing the spotlight, but one pink lovebird named Paco is operating on an entirely different level. With her blush colored feathers and sweet sleepy personality, the little beauty has the internet completely obsessed.

Videos of the pink lovebird have people asking whether lovebirds can actually be pink, while others are simply accepting the fact that Paco may be prettier than most of us on our best day.

The precious clip was shared by the TikTok account for @Pacothepinkbird and stars Paco, a dreamy baby pink lovebird who appears to be living a life completely free from stress, taxes and negative energy.

The caption reads, "How life feels when you're stress free and pretty AF."

Honestly?

She's not wrong.

Related: Someone Transformed an Iron Man Figure Into a Hummingbird Feeder, and the Birds Are Obsessed

The video shows little Paco peacefully sleeping, looking like a tiny feathered marshmallow with absolutely no responsibilities beyond being beautiful.

And I swear this bird looks like she smells like strawberries and owns several lip glosses.

The comments section was completely obsessed.

"Imagine being PINK and not just any pink, BABY PINK. Bruh, I'm jealous of a bird," one person wrote.

"This is the prettiest bird ever," another viewer declared.

Someone else simply said, "OMG she's so girly pop."

And perhaps my favorite comment came from a viewer who admitted, "Okay, I'm jealous of how pretty this bird is."

Honestly, same.

At this point I feel like Paco should be giving tutorials on self care and positive affirmations.

Because clearly she's doing something right.

Can Lovebirds Really Be Pink? @pacothepinkbird

♬ Beautiful Boy Edit - 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙢𝙨

Yes. While wild lovebirds are naturally green, selective breeding has produced a variety of beautiful color mutations, including peach, cream, blue and shades that can appear pink.

These soft pink tones are especially common in peach faced lovebirds with certain color combinations. Their rosy feathers can range from pale blush to vibrant shades that almost look unreal.

Which explains why so many viewers couldn't believe Paco was a real bird.

But apparently she is.

And somehow she's prettier than all of us.

Veterinarian Urges Pet Parents to Watch for These ‘New World Screwworm’ Warning Signs

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 9:00am

New World Screwworm has officially made its way into the U.S., which is definitely scary. As pet parents, we already have so much to worry about, from whether our preferred pet food has been recalled to what toys are choking hazards.

Unfortunately, New World Screwworm is not something we can ignore, even if we don't live somewhere with any outbreaks. Luckily, veterinarians are issuing warnings to help us all be as preventative as we possibly can be:

@kgnstv

A Laredo veterinarian is advising pet owners to stay alert as cases of the New World Screwworm are rising. #laredo #news #kgns #screwworm #texas #newworldscrewworm #TAHC #webbcounty

KGNS TV aired this clip: the veterinarian issuing the warning is in Laredo, Texas. There are no cases in Laredo, but 8 confirmed cases are in Texas alone. Pet parents in Texas and surrounding areas should be extra cautious!

Related: Rescue Pit Bull ‘Comes Back to Life’ in Shelter and Dreams of a Forever Home

What is New World Screwworm?

New World Screwworms are the larvae of a parasitic fly. The flies lay their eggs in open wounds on living things, unlike most other flies, and those larvae burrow into the wound. They're flesh-eating and incredibly dangerous.

Technically, any warm-blooded animal can get New World Screwworm, which is what makes it so dangerous. Most commonly, the parasites are found in:

  • Cattle.
  • Other livestock.
  • Farm birds, like chickens and ducks.
  • Wild animals.

It's becoming more common to find New World Screwworms in dogs and cats, though. It also spreads easily: the flies fly away, find an animal with a wound, and infect. Rinse and repeat until several animals across several states are infected.

How to Spot New World Screwworm

Though any animal can technically get NWS, they have to have an open wound for the flies to lay their eggs in. It might be a small wound you don't even notice, which is what makes it so terrifying: the eggs are tiny, and the problem is often impossible to spot until it's too late.

There are some symptoms to be on the lookout for:

  • The wound becomes inflamed, smells bad, or seems infected.
  • Small white dots in the wound or the surrounding area.
  • Yelping or whining.
  • Constant itching, biting, or licking of the impacted area.

If you believe your dog, cat, or any other pet might have NWS, get them to the emergency vet immediately to have the wound cleaned and treated. Don't try to do it on your own: you will not be able to get all of the eggs. Waiting will only make things worse.

If you're in a state that hasn't had any cases yet, it's still important to stay vigilant. Check for any open wounds whenever they come in from outside. Give them a good pat down every night before bed! They certainly won't mind that.

Ragdoll Kitten Who's 'Just a Baby Cloud' Tries To Roar Like a 'Big Scary Lion'

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 8:55am

Fake it till you make it is what they always say, and for this Ragdoll kitten, he took it very seriously.

In a new viral cat video melting hearts all over the internet, a fluffy white Ragdoll kitten, whose very accurate nickname is Baby Cloud, tries to show his older sister cat that he's the boss with his lion-like roar.

@eeveeandyoshi

♬ original sound - Eevee, Yoshi & Waffles

Though his big sister, named Eevee, is being very patient as this little cat roars in her face and then even pounces on her, you can tell she's not scared at all and is more amused by this little fluffball's behavior.

He has so much determination in that tiny voice!

Related: Ragdoll Kitten Treats a Balloon Like Her Greatest Enemy

Ragdoll Cats Have Big Personalities

With these two Ragdoll cats, we see very different personalities, but is there a typical Ragdoll personality type?

The Ragdoll cat breed was developed in California in the 1960s, with the specific intent to be gentle, affectionate, and often soft-spoken, according to Petful.com.

They are also usually easygoing kitties, as we see with Eevee.

We also see that with this family's other adult Ragdoll cat, named Yoshi, in other videos.

So perhaps this little Ragdoll kitten will calm down when he's a bit more mature, but right now, he wants the world to know he has a voice and isn't afraid to use it.

Ragdoll cats are also known to be playful and quite social, though, so perhaps Baby Cloud inherited more of those traits.

However, all these different traits add up to Ragdolls being a wonderful cat breed that any pet parent would be thrilled to raise.

Ragdolls are also quite smart, as we see in this other video, where the bigger kitties teach their little brother to give high-fives to get treats.

Baby Cloud catches on quite quickly! It's quite impressive!

90-Pound Labrador Goes Head-to-Head With a Tiny Fly, and the Outcome Is Perfect

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 8:20am

Woody may be a 90-pound Chocolate Labrador, but in this kitchen showdown, his opponent has wings, confidence, and absolutely no idea what's coming.

In the video, Woody is posted up on the kitchen floor with his full attention locked on a tiny fly. The caption sets up the battle simply as Labrador versus fly, but the actual scene is so much better than that. This isn't just a dog noticing a bug. This is a gentle giant entering negotiations with a speck.

@the.lab.woody

Labrador vs fly #labrador #chocolatelab #dogsoftiktok #gentlegiant

♬ son original - floflette74 ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Woody lies there with his big, smooshy face focused, tail wagging, trying to figure out what kind of creature has entered his airspace. He bites at the air above it, paws at it softly, and watches it like maybe, just maybe, this could become a friendship.

For a moment, it almost feels sweet.

He's curious. He's careful. He's giving "I want to know you, tiny floor stranger energy." One viewer noticed exactly how squishable his face looked during the whole investigation, and honestly, that may be half the charm. Woody looks less like a fearsome hunter and more like a marshmallow trying to solve a puzzle.

But another commenter understood the real danger of Woody's friendship style. He seems desperate for a buddy, yes, but he also might not be the safest friend to have if you're smaller than a crumb and currently standing on his kitchen floor.

Because after all that staring, tail wagging, air chomping, and delicate paw work, Woody makes his final decision.

He eats the fly.

All gone.

And somehow, that's what makes this video so funny. Just one massive Lab doing his best to be gentle, curious, and social before turning the entire friendship into a snack.

It's every Labrador, honestly.

Labs have this wonderful way of being both deeply sweet and completely ridiculous. They'll look at you with the softest eyes in the world, then immediately make a decision that reminds you that their brain is powered by love, snacks, and one bouncing tennis ball.

Woody's fly encounter is funny because it's so pure. He isn't being mean. He's just investigating life at floor level, wagging through the confusion, and accidentally proving that tiny bugs should maybe choose their friends more carefully.

The fly may have lost the match, but Woody won the internet.

And if you've ever watched a big dog become fascinated by the smallest possible thing, you already know this kind of comedy is undefeated.

Labradors Are a Gentle Breed

If you've ever loved a Lab, Woody's careful little fly investigation probably feels familiar. Labradors are often sweet, curious, and eager to connect with whatever's in front of them, even when that "friend" happens to be a tiny bug on the floor.

The American Kennel Club describes Labrador Retrievers as friendly, outgoing, and high-spirited companions. That gentle, social nature is part of what makes moments like Woody's so funny. He really looked like he wanted to understand the fly before making the most Labrador decision possible.

In the end, Woody proved Labs can be soft, silly, and snack-driven all at once, which is exactly why people love them.

"She IS ADOOOORABLE but looks like a trouble maker," someone else wrote.

And another cat lover summed up what many people were thinking by saying, "Bengals are just the most stunning cats."

They're not wrong.

Because while this little girl may look sweet and innocent, Bengal people know those beautiful faces often come with huge personalities and enough energy to power a small city.

Still, I completely understand the temptation.

Because if somebody handed me this kitten, I fear all common sense would immediately leave my body.

Things To Know Before Getting a Bengal Cat @tiggerthebengalcat

Pros and cons of owning a bengal cat #bengalcats #bengalcatsoftiktok #cats #catlife #beautifulcat

♬ Little Things - Adrián Berenguer

Bengal cats are incredibly intelligent, active and curious. They thrive when they have plenty of enrichment, climbing opportunities and interactive play.

Unlike some laid back breeds, Bengals often want to be involved in everything their families are doing. Many enjoy learning tricks, playing fetch and exploring high places around the house.

Prospective pet parents should also know that Bengals can be very vocal and may require more mental stimulation than the average cat.

In other words, you're not just adopting a cat.

You're adopting a tiny spotted life coach with unlimited energy and absolutely no respect for personal space.

‘Peaches and Cream’ Bengal Kitten Looks Like a Snow Cone With Legs

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 8:00am

My favorite thing that people say is that all cats look the same, because it's just so not true! While certain breeds definitely do have a signature look, even those cats mix it up from time to time.

For example, this Bengal kitten. Where most Bengals are a soft brown and black combination, this sweet Snow Bengal is the color of peaches and cream! That's definitely not something you see every day:

More About the Snow Lynx Bengal

With 1.7 million likes, this kitten has people talking. Everybody wants to know more about her, why she's so unique, and most importantly, what she costs! Most Bengal cats look like this:

Galina Zhigalova / Getty Images

The Snow Lynx Bengal has Siamese and Burmese cat genes in their lineage, which is what helps give them their light color and signature big blue eyes. The Siamese/Burmese genes are recessive, meaning both parents need to be carriers, and it also means that not every kitten turns out this way.

Snow Lynx is one of the rarest Bengal coat colors out there. Because of that, these cats are very expensive: a regular Bengal typically costs about $1,000, but a Snow Lynx Bengal can cost over $1,500, with some reaching double that!

Clearly, they're worth it, though: that kitten is the most gorgeous girl in the world!

Sweet Pit Bull 'Turns Into Chewbacca' When She Gets Her Nails Clipped

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 7:10am

Both of my dogs hate getting their nails trimmed when we go to the vet. It makes them feel violated in some way and they make their displeasure known. My mild-mannered, ladylike senior Dachshund actually bares her teeth at the mere sight of the nail clipper, and her Pug mix brother gives his most guttural growl the second the clipper makes contact with his nail.

Zara the Pit Bull clearly feels the same way about a mini manicure and takes on the persona of an iconic Star Wars character.

@zarathepit

Zara or Chewbacca?? #starwars #chewbacca #dramaticdog #pitbullsoftiktok

♬ original sound - Zara the Pit🩶🐾

In the TikTok from @zarathepit, the pretty Pittie was wearing a soft muzzle while her nails were being trimmed. The sound of protest she made wasn't exactly a bark or growl, but more of a groan/whine combo that mimicked a beloved Star Wars Wookiee warrior.

"My dog turns into Chewbacca when she gets her nails clipped," the onscreen text explained.

The description was spot-on, where Zara's vocals gave off total Chewie vibes. The furry resistance fighter often made those sounds in his conversations with Han Solo and the other Rebels in order to get his point across.

Still, Zara wasn't having much luck with the throaty form of communication and had to endure her regular nail trimming. The expression on her face spoke volumes, leaving no question to how she felt about the entire process.

How to Acclimate Your Dog to a Nail Trim

Many dogs dread getting their nails clipped and take on various forms of protest from hiding to snarling. The experience can be scary for canines, so easing them into it can help break the ice. Some tips to start off include:

Related: Rescue Pit Bull Finally Finds Her Bark but Ends up Scaring Herself Silly

  • Regularly touch your dog’s legs, feet, and toes so your dog gets comfortable with you handling that area of their body. Give lots of praise and treats for positive reinforcement.
  • Let your dog sniff or lick the nail clippers, then give them with a treat so they build a positive association.
  • After you've made some progress with handling their paws and had several introductions with the nail clipper, try cutting just one nail and give your dog a treat.

Take your time with this process. When your pooch is ready, just do one nail a day until your dog adjusts to it. If your dog is uncomfortable or anxious at any point in these steps, stop and try another day.

Hopefully, Zara's nail clipping appointment went by quickly, though she does make an adorable-sounding Chewbacca.

7 Tiny Things Cats Only Do When They Feel Safe and Protected

Mon, 06/15/2026 - 5:10am

Trust is a crucial part of bonding with your cat, making it important for your furry companion to know that you’ll always have their back. But since they can’t tell you when they feel safe or not, it's tricky to know what's gong through their head. After all, cats communicate differently than people do, as they share their emotions through their body language and behaviors. To help you understand your cat better, we gathered 7 tiny things cats do only when they feel protected, according to pet behaviorists. That way, you can start picking up on the sweet signs your cat feels completely at ease and safe at home and with you.

“A cat’s sense of safety is the foundation of their emotional well-being,” says Christine Alexiou, certified feline behaviorist and founder of Christine’s Cat Behavior and Training. “Cats are both predators and prey animals, which means they are constantly assessing their environment for potential threats.”

Because of this, their instincts usually keeps them guarded about who they trust, which may make you wonder, "Does my cat love me and feel safe around me?" The truth is, experts say a cat new to a household may take some time to feel comfortable and realize you want to look after them. "It's important for pet parents need to provide the right environment and work to forge a bond with them,” explains Rita Reimers, a certified cat behaviorist.

So, how can you tell if you make your cat feel safe or if you have more work to do? The signs are admittedly subtle, but once you notice them, you'll feel great knowing your cat sees you as their guardian and safe place.

Related: 7 Strange but Cute Signs Cats Do When They Trust You, Say Vets

Signs Your Cat Feels Safe and Protected Cats have relaxed body language when they feel safe around someone.

Getty Images Povozniuk

Every cat is an individual and, as a result, your cat may have their own way of showing they feel protected. Still, experts say these are common behaviors your cat is at ease in your company.

They Give You a ‘Cat Kiss’

One sign your cat feels safe is when they slow blink, which is a signal of trust. “When a cat deliberately closes their eyes around someone, they are temporarily reducing their awareness of the environment,” Alexiou explains. “Because cats are naturally cautious animals, this action suggests they feel comfortable enough to let their guard down in your presence.”

They ‘Loaf’

Cats don’t always show affection in obvious ways, but when they know that you're going to protect them they are more at ease, even in the way they sit.

"You may see your cat loafing, which is when cats sit with their paws tucked under their body, is a relaxed resting posture," Alexiou reveals. “While they can still move, if necessary, this posture often indicates that the cat feels comfortable enough to settle and conserve energy without remaining on high alert."

They Turn Their Back to You

Don’t mistake your cat turning its back toward you as a sign of rejection: It’s actually a compliment. “A cat who does not trust their people will not put themselves in a position to not see who is approaching,” Reimers notes. “They are in a vulnerable state when they can’t see what’s happening behind them, but they trust you enough to turn their backs anyway.”

So, if you notice your furry family member dong this behavior, know it's something cats only do when they feel safe and protected by whoever they are around.

They Show Their Belly

If you're curious what it means if your cat shows you their belly, it's a good thing! "This is a vulnerable position that your cat won’t show to just anyone," says Marilyn Krieger, certified cat behavior consultant and founder of The Cat Coach. “A cat’s stomach protects vital organs, so if they expose their belly to you, they trust you.”

Therefore, it's their way of revealing that they know you'll protect them and watch over them if they're near you because to you, you're their hero.

Related: 10 Signs Your Cat is Emotionally Attached to You, Says an Expert

They Yawn Deeply

A deep yawn doesn't mean you're boring your pet. It actually shows that they know they have nothing to worry about when they're around you. In their eyes, you're not just their pet parent, you're their guardian and part of their inner circle who watches out for them.

“Relaxed, unhurried yawns often occur when a cat is transitioning into a calmer emotional state,” Alexiou says. “When combined with other relaxed body language signals, deep yawns can indicate that a cat feels comfortable and secure in their environment.”

They Eat Calmly

A calm, unhurried mealtime might not seem like a big deal, but for cats, it’s one of the clearest signs they feel completely safe in their home. When a cat is comfortable, they don’t feel the need to rush or stay alert while eating—they can simply enjoy their food. “When cats are relaxed while eating, this shows they trust their environment, their people, and other pets,” Reimers says.

Their Tail Quivers

Have you ever seen your pet’s tail standing verticaly and then slightly quiver? "This is common when your cat cat behavior when they greet a trusted person," Alexiou says. “This is frequently associated with positive emotional arousal, excitement, and affection. In many social situations, it is a sign that the cat is happy and comfortable interacting with someone they trust.”

Senior Golden Retriever's 'Sleepy Morning Voice' Is the Sweetest Sound You'll Ever Hear

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 7:20pm

Morning routines are better when they come with coffee, soft blankets, and one Senior Golden Retriever making the tiniest little sounds like he has important feelings before breakfast.

In the video, Bruce is having a slow, cozy morning with his person, who admits her baby talk voice may be a lot, but honestly, nobody is here to judge. Not when Bruce answers with the quietest, sweetest little morning noise imaginable. It may be tiny, but it has the emotional power of a full orchestra.

This is NOT a bark. It's not even a proper howl. It's more like a sleepy little "woo" from a dog who has just woken up, remembered he is deeply loved, and decided the world needed to know.

And the world did need to know.

The caption makes it clear that this was the best kind of Monday morning moment. A tiny Bruce sound. A soft start to the day. A senior dog still giving his people those precious little pieces of personality that make you stop everything and melt into a puddle.

Golden Retrievers are already famous for being the sweetest, but senior Goldens have a different kind of magic. Their faces get a little whiter. Their pace gets a little slower. Their routines become sacred. And suddenly every little noise, paw tap, head tilt, and sleepy greeting feels like something you want to save forever.

Bruce's morning voice has that exact magic. It's so small, but it says so much. It says he is a comfortable and happy old man. He knows he's safe and has opinions, even if they are delivered in the tiniest old-man dog voice possible.

One person summed up the whole experience perfectly by calling him a tiny baby "woo," and really, there's no better job title for the old timer. He's not just a senior Golden. He's a sleepy morning legend. A soft little sunshine boy. A professional heart-destroyer in golden fur.

The video is simple and easy to love. Just a person loving their dog and letting us join in on the love. We all love Bruce, because this is the stuff that gets you.

Senior dogs can turn any moment into a keepsake. You think you're just starting the day, and then your old dog makes one tiny sound, and suddenly, you are emotionally unavailable for the rest of the day.

Thank you for that, Bruce.

View this post on Instagram Caring for a Senior Dog

If you are lucky enough to have a senior dog, the little things matter more than ever. Soft bedding, gentle routines, regular vet visits, short walks, and paying attention to small changes can help you keep them comfortable as they age. You don't have to make every day perfect. Just make it safe, loving, and easy on the body.

The American Veterinary Medical Association shares that older pets may need more frequent checkups and extra attention to changes in weight, behavior, mobility, appetite, or bathroom habits. Those small details can help you catch problems early and support your dog through their golden years.

And if your senior dog greets the morning with a tiny sleepy "woo," congratulations, your alarm clock is better than everyone else's.

This German Shepherd Got Overstimulated and Chose Violence Against the Car Roof, Specifically

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 7:00pm

There are plenty of things you expect a German Shepherd to protect you from.

Intruders. Squirrels. Suspicious leaves.

The ceiling of the car, however, was not on my bingo card.

@mr.theodoremaximus

He only does this with the phone and my retainer case reflection when we’re driving and the first time the other day at a baseball game with a phone. Its only when he’s been understimulated or has to sit still too long because most the time it doesn’t phase him but has anything worked for anyone for him to connect it’s not something he can catch? He’s almost a year so still a lot of puppy in him. #germanshepherd #dogs #chasinglight #doktok #dogadvice

♬ original sound - Mr.TheodoreMaximus

The hilarious clip was shared by the TikTok account for @Mr.theodoremaximus and stars Theodore, an almost one year old German Shepherd who apparently has a personal vendetta against reflected light.

Related: Fluffy White Dog Left in Car Honks the Horn Like a Boss Until Family Comes Back

According to his pet parent, Theodore only reacts this way to reflections from a phone or even a retainer case. Most of the time they don't bother him, but if he's understimulated or has been sitting still for too long, all bets are off.

The result?

Absolute chaos.

In the video, Theodore spots the reflection and immediately decides the most logical course of action is to launch a full scale attack on the roof of the car. Not the phone. Not the source of the reflection.

Just the ceiling.

And honestly, I laughed because dogs somehow manage to be brilliant and deeply ridiculous at the exact same time.

The comments section had plenty to say.

"To this day I'm still confused how dogs are so freaking smart and so freaking dumb at the same time," one person wrote.

Another joked, "You have to sit him down and teach him the physics of reflection."

"Try letting him drive next time," another viewer suggested.

One person lovingly commented, "This is proof that dumb and cute can happen at the same time!"

And one German Shepherd parent admitted they have teeth marks in their own car from the exact same behavior.

Several experienced dog parents also offered an important reminder that reflection chasing can sometimes become obsessive, particularly in breeds like German Shepherds. Some commenters encouraged avoiding reflective triggers when possible since these behaviors can intensify rather than disappear over time.

Honestly, poor Theodore looks less like he's being naughty and more like he's having the dog equivalent of a software glitch.

Why Some Dogs Become Fixated on Lights and Reflections @moxonwalks

My dog chases light reflections like a cat does! Does yours? One of my dogs does, and one does not even acknowledge it. Turns out, its NOT a great habit to be reinforcing. #reflection #light #dogsoftiktok #funnydog #cat #catlikedog #prism #dogparentsoftiktok #learning #moxie #yellowlab #labsoftiktok

♬ Kitty Cat - David Chicken

Many dogs naturally enjoy chasing movement, but certain breeds, including German Shepherds, can become especially focused on lights, shadows and reflections. Because these "targets" can never actually be caught, some dogs may become increasingly frustrated or obsessive.

Veterinary behaviorists often recommend minimizing exposure to triggers and redirecting dogs toward games and activities that provide a more satisfying outlet for their energy.

Which sounds very sensible.

But I still can't stop laughing at the fact that Theodore apparently looked at the car roof and thought:

"Your time has come."

Lady the Dachshund Takes on Paris Like a Travel Pro and It's Adorable

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 6:20pm

As the dog of an influencer, Lady, the Dachshund, already has a very glamorous life, but it just got a bit more luxe as this little pup is heading to Paris!

Move over, Emily in Paris, here comes a Dachshund in Paris!

Though for most dogs, a 7-hour transatlantic flight would be daunting, this seasoned traveler, who also happens to be a Dachshund, takes it all in stride and class.

@abbybaffoe

I can’t believe we are here 🥹🥹

♬ original sound - nicole

Despite the flight being delayed twice and Lady refusing to use the bathroom for dogs at the airport (we get it, Lady), she slept the entire flight and didn't make a peep.

Her mom, Abby Baffoe, revealed that they both took drugs to help them sleep, but obviously, she consulted with her vet first on the proper dosage and drug.

Not only did the little pup sleep during the entire duration of the flight, but she slept in the car on the way to the hotel, too!

And finally, they arrived in Paris at their beautiful hotel, and Lady woke up!

In another video from the trip, we see Lady enjoying some lovely room service and accompanying her mom to a French hair salon.

We shouldn't be surprised that Lady is a naturally perfect traveler, as she often travels with her mom to her hotels (including staycations) and does photo shoots at hotels.

Actually, when her mom brought her home to NYC for the first time, their flight got delayed, and they had to stay at a hotel overnight on their first night together.

This little Dachshund was born to be in hotels, especially in Paris.

@abbybaffoe

The room set up and this HOTEL 🥲❤️✨

Why Paris is a Surprisingly Dog-Friendly City

It's easy for Lady to be such a seasoned traveling pro in a place like Paris, as it's actually an extremely dog-friendly city.

According to BonjourParis.com, the dog population in Paris is 300,000, and with a human population of around 2.1 million, that means there is one dog for every seven Parisians.

Clearly, this is a city that loves dogs, so it has made itself friendly to visiting dogs as well, with dog-friendly hotels, restaurants, and shops, and plenty of green space and parks for pups to explore, including the Bois de Boulogne and Bois de Vincennes.

Chihuahua Uses Pit Bull Brother As a Step Stool, and It's Hilarious

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 6:10pm

Both of my dogs ignore the idea of personal space. My Dachshund and my Pug mix step on each other, sit on each other, take food out of each other's bowls — obviously, they have a very comfortable, easygoing relationship where etiquette gets tossed aside.

Molly the Chihuahua and Zeus the Pit Bull seem to have the same sort of dynamic, despite their massive size difference.

@r3lnduh

Yes I know she’s fat. She’s my aunts dog not mine 😂 #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp#fypシ゚viral#dogsoftiktok#funnydogs#chihuahuastiktok

♬ awww so cute - Cherri ⁉️

In the TikTok from @r3lnduh, Zeus was lying on the floor in front of the sofa minding his own business, trying to catch some shuteye. Molly came in the room and wanted to get cozy on the couch.

The clever Chihuahua knew she needed a boost due to her short stature, so she improvised. Seeing her fur baby brother sprawled on the rug in the perfect spot, Molly figured out a way up.

She placed her front paws on Zeus's back but felt a little unsteady and backed off. Getting a better angle of her path, Molly got some momentum for a full jump on the sleeping Pit Bull. Though she was a little wobbly once she had all four paws on Zeus's back, Molly was able to hop up to the couch just as the pretty Pittie woke up.

Zeus was still drowsy after Molly accomplished her mission, and he seemed confused by what just happened. The expression on his face seemed to say, "What the heck was that?"

Followers got a kick out of the comical scene and gave Molly props for problem solving.

"Molly almost needed a step stool FOR Zeus," one pointed out.

"He’s like 'really'?!" another noted.

"Using her resources," a follower praised.

"She said work smarter not harder!" someone remarked.

Molly and Zeus Make Their Size Difference Work

Viewers of the video noticed the vast difference in size between the small yet wide Chihuahua and muscular Pit Bull. The companionable canines appeared quite comfortable with each other and even capitalized on their physical contrast.

Large dogs can often live and play with small dogs, depending on breed, age, and temperament. Supervision in the early days of the relationship is essential to make sure there is mutual respect and no aggressive behavior.

Molly and Zeus embrace (and even capitalize on) their differences to strengthen their bond.

Cat's Permanent Smirk Makes Him Look Like He's 'Silently Judging You' 24/7

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 5:55pm

Orion has the kind of face that makes you feel like you've been called into a meeting about your life choices.

This sweet cat was adopted from a cat cafe along with his brother, who isn't technically related but absolutely counts where it matters. Before finding their home, the two had already been through a lot together, spending a whole year side by side through shelters and a foster home. That kind of bond will turn kitties into family fast.

@catbrothersfromothers

This is Orion. We adopted him and his brother (from another mother) at a cat cafe. They lived together for a whole year through multiple shelters and a foster home! He only had 3 teeth when we got him but that’s never stopped him from being himself. Despite trying to give him wet food, he loves crunchies! He’s very active and loves to play with his brother and his toy bug ❤️ #confidence #cute #animals #teeth #periodontaldisease

♬ original sound - €

When Orion was adopted, he only had three teeth. But if you think that slowed him down, please take several seats, because this guy has no interest in your pity. His family even tried offering him wet food, probably assuming a cat with just a few teeth would prefer the softer side of life. Orion, however, remains committed to crunchies. The man has standards.

And then there's the face!

Orion's little lip gives him a permanent smirk that makes him look like he's quietly judging every single decision happening around him. You could be folding laundry, opening mail, or standing in your kitchen eating shredded cheese straight from the bag, and Orion would still look like he's thinking, "Interesting. Embarrassing, but interesting."

One viewer basically admitted Orion's expression is relatable, saying his face matches how many of us feel most days, teeth or no teeth. Honestly, fair. Orion's resting judgment face speaks for generations.

Another fan couldn't get over the tiny lip situation, imagining him as a deeply concerned little inspector who's constantly wondering why tuna hasn't appeared yet. And truly, that's the whole vibe. He looks sweet, dramatic, slightly disappointed, and ready to file a formal complaint at any moment.

But the best part is that Orion isn't just a funny face. He's active and playful, and he loves his brother and his toy bug. He's not sitting around acting delicate. He's living his little life with confidence, attitude, and one of the best expressions the internet has ever seen.

Cats like Orion are a reminder that the things that make an animal "different" are often the exact things that make people fall completely in love with them. His few teeth, his lip, his crunchy-food loyalty, his judgmental smirk—they all come together into one perfect little personality package.

He may look like he's silently reviewing your performance at all times, but his story is actually full of sweetness. He found a home with his brother, got to keep being his weird, wonderful self, and somehow became the tiny, pouty-faced supervisor we all need.

If Orion is actually judging us, we probably deserve it.

Caring for Cats With Dental Issues

If your kitty has missing teeth or dental problems, the goal is comfort, not perfection. Watch how they eat, keep an eye on weight changes, and offer food options that are easy for them to manage. Some cats prefer wet food, while others, like Orion, may still insist on crunchies because our feline friends love keeping us humble.

VCA Animal Hospitals shares that dental issues in cats can be painful and may require veterinary care, including tooth extraction in some cases. That's why it's worth checking in with your vet if you notice drooling, pawing at the mouth, bad breath, appetite changes, or trouble chewing.

With the right care, cats with dental issues can still eat, play, boss everyone around, and live wonderfully weird little lives.

Golden Retriever 'Hustles' Pets From Everyone at the Park Like a Total Gangster

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 2:40pm

Some dogs look forward to the park for sniffs. Some look forward to it to romp around in the grass. Some for the play time with their best friends.

But for Joey the Golden Retriever, he looks forward to the park because it means he gets to hustle every human he encounters for some much deserved pets.

Joey, whose human shares his hilarious antics to TikTok via @joey_how_u_doinn, has his craft down to a science, romping up to any and all humans to ask for some scratches and well deserved attention. The results are, of course, hilarious and adorable.

@joey_how_u_doinn

He didn’t miss a single sole 😂 . #dogsoftiktok #goldenretriever #funnydog

♬ original sound - Joey_how_u_doin

As seen in the popular video shared to TikTok, Joey has no problem chasing folks down, parking it next to strangers, and going up to basically anyone at the park to ask for pets. And even digitally, his efforts were very clearly appreciated.

"The way he chased after that one like a salesperson. 😁"

"He is WORKIN the crowd 😭🥰❤️"

"the most golden that ever goldened"

Why Golden Retrievers Are Social Butterflies

Like so many traits in dogs, Goldens are highly-sociable, friendly creatures largely in part due to selective, specific breeding. For generations, breeders of golden retrievers focused on creating dogs who were non-territorial and great with people. This combined with their instinct to people please, makes them the dogs we know as bubbly, social butterflies.

On top of this, some research suggests that Goldens have similar genetic markers as humans which make them predisposed to interact more similarly to people. Their biological makeup makes them naturally friendlier dogs and crave approval and social interaction.

While genetics can't be denied, in order for a dog (breed aside!) to be well socialized, the training and focus must come early and deliberately. A puppy's environment and upbringing play a critical role in ensuring they'll be well behaved dogs. Making sure they are exposed to new environments and proper training helps this immensely.

Whether it be genetics or training, it's undeniable that Goldens are truly in it for the pets. Especially ones like Joey, who will have no problem letting you know that's what they're really after.

This Golden Retriever Came Up With the Most Brilliant Way to Beat the Summer Heat

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 11:16am

Summer is basically here and that means longer, warmer, balmier days. We're all feeling the heat; our pets included!

One particularly creative Golden Retriever named Leo has found the best way to cool off on a hot summer day. Leo (@leotheretriever8 on TikTok, account managed by humans) parks himself right in front of the central air and lets his majestic coat blow in the artificial breeze. And we have to admit, his thinking is pretty genius.

@leotheretriever8

Don’t tell me he is not smart!!! 😂 always laying by the vents! #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok #funny #dog

♬ original sound - LEO ✨

According to the caption on the hilarious video, this is something Leo has been up to for quite a while with his human stating, "[he 's] always laying by the vents!" Comments applauded his ingenuity saying things like:

"Smarter than most humans😅"

"He's a smart boy! It's too darn hot outside!"

"Smart boy. I'd do the same thing if I was him 😏"

How to Keep Dogs Safe in Summer

All jokes aside, it is actually very important to manage your dog during the summer months, as hot temperatures can pose serious health risks. Some ways to keep your beloved pup safe in the summertime should include:

  • Always making sure they have access to water.
  • Adjust your walking time to when its cooler outside, like in the early mornings or closer to dusk.
  • Along the same line, avoid walking places with asphalt when temperatures get too hot.
  • Consider things like cooling mats and paw protection when necessary.
  • Use sunblock on their noses, ears, and even skin with certain breeds.
  • Never leave your dog places like a hot car or in exposed, direct sunlight with no access to shade.
  • Watch for signs of heat stroke like excessive panting, disorientation, drooling, and an elevated heart rate.

Ultimately, a lot of what protecting your dog boils down to is simply paying attention. And making sure that when they innovate, like Mr. Leo, they have your full support.

Rescue Beagle Went '7 Years Without a Cuddle' — Now She Snuggles Whenever She Wants

Sun, 06/14/2026 - 10:10am

In May, more than 1,500 Beagles were rescued from Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin breeding and research facility. These dogs were subjected to horrible conditions and didn't receive any sort of attention or affection as they struggled to just get through each day. Thankfully, numerous rescue organizations stepped up to find these beautiful Beagles foster and permanent homes.

Juniper Penelope — aka Junie B — is a Ridglan Farm Beagle who is now getting the tender loving care she never got to experience in her life.

In the TikTok from @tlcwithmsb, Junie B was snuggling with her foster mom. Apparently, the precious pooch inadvertently derailed her mom's gardening plans.

"I'm trying to finish putting together my garden bed," the pet parent explained, "and this little one said, nope, time for a break."

Junie B's mom was more than happy to stop working to give the precious pooch some attention, considering what the Beagle had been through when at the breeding facility.

"She went nearly 7 years without a cuddle," the onscreen text revealed as the foster mom gave more details.

"She had been sleeping on my little couch over there and she came off and came over and wants a cuddle," her mom said. "If she wants a cuddle, she gets a cuddle, because she went 7 years without one. So, I'm going to give her a cuddle."

Junie B's proud parent described her as "confident and brave but still apprehensive". Naturally, cuddling is her favorite activity so far.

Junie B Is Learning How to Eat

The fur baby was given water through a drip holder and mushy food while at Ridglan Farms, so she is slowly acclimating to eating and drinking from bowls.

"She doesn't know how to eat kibble or chew things," her mom continued, adding that she recently made Junie B some homemade chicken and rice. "She just started to chew some soft food today. Otherwise it's just mush that she's used to."

Related: Rescue Dog Reunites With the Famous Foster Mom Who Saved Him—And His Reaction Was the Ultimate Gift

Junie B is finally getting the love and affection she deserves.
