Duo of Playful Sphynx Cats Are Rightfully Obsessed with their Indoor Alpaca
If you've ever thought that a house cat must automatically be lazy, want to lie around all day on a pillow, or sleep away the day, these Sphynx Cat siblings would like you to think again.
Neytriri and Tsireya (named from the James Cameron Avatar films) are two of the four sphynx cats behind the account @noodyxbums on TikTok. The cats definitely live the good life with their own indoor playroom and alpaca style cat tree, and their human took to the internet to share just how crazy the cats get when playing in their room with their beloved alpaca.

The account on TikTok has amassed over 600k followers who love watching their pack play and gallivant around, especially the quartet of Sphynx cats in the family.
Exercise for Sphynx CatsBecause they are very intelligent and energetic animals, ensuring your sphynx cat is getting enough exercise is crucial for their well-being. This not only provides mental stimulation helping them from being bored, but also helps with physicality as well and helping your cat maintain a healthy physique, which is critical to their health. Sphynx cats love chasing, climbing, playing "fetch," and can even be harness trained for outdoor adventures. Just always make sure to prioritize safety and supervision when necessary to keep everyone in a good spot.
Sphynx cats may be one of the rarer breeds for a person to own, and it's so fun to get to see them thriving thanks to accounts like @noodyxbums online. Fun and entertaining, so just like the cats in the video, it's a win win.

This Stray Mama Dog Had Given Up—Until She Heard Her Babies Again
She was alone in a kennel at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control in Arizona, with no way to understand where her puppies had gone or if she'd ever see them again. Then the door opened.
The stray mama dog instantly recognized her puppies and started crying and whining as the staffers leaned down and asked her, "Who is that?"

The moment the crate full of puppies was placed in her kennel, her body stiffened, unable to keep calm. As the mother pressed herself against the crate, the shelter worker asked, "Do you love them?" as if any more proof were needed.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Jz4l6iAiPkQ
The Crying Didn't Stop Once the Puppies Came OutWhen the staff finally opened the crate and lifted the puppies out one by one, the mama dog immediately leaned toward them, sniffing and licking as if she needed to confirm every single baby was real.
Then the puppies started nursing. And as they did, the crying got even louder. It was not distressed crying. It was the cry of relief. Mom whined while feeding her puppies as if she couldn't physically contain her happiness.
"She Was Literally Crying for Her Babies"—and the Internet Felt Every Second of ItWhile the mom cried with relief, fans couldn't stop crying at how heartwarming this story was.
One said, "Her crying just broke my heart." Another added, "Truly heartbreaking — imagine the joy she felt getting her babies back."
But everyone agreed on one thing: "She was literally crying for her babies."

The Moment Every Pet Parent UnderstandsYou don't need subtitles to understand what was happening in that kennel. Anyone who has ever watched a dog reunite with family knows there's a specific kind of emotion in those moments. It's overwhelming. Dogs don't try to act composed. Their entire body takes over before their brain catches up.
This mama dog looked like she had been holding tension in her chest for days. Then suddenly her puppies were right there.
Stray Mothers Carry Even More StressStray mother dogs carry enormous pressure before help arrives. Left outside, they have to find food while staying close enough to protect the litter. Even sleeping becomes difficult because every sound could mean danger.
When a stray mother is separated from her litter, even briefly, even by well-meaning shelter staff, her nervous system does not distinguish between a temporary separation and a permanent one.
She has no human to reassure her, no context to draw from. Every instinct she has been running on since the puppies were born tells her that losing sight of them is a threat. Mother dogs experience measurable stress responses when separated from young puppies, with strays and shelter dogs showing higher baseline anxiety than domestic pets even before any separation occurs.
You can see the exact moment that survival mode drops in this video. Her body, which had been braced and waiting, simply releases.
By the end of the clip, she has the look of a mother who only needed one thing confirmed: "OK. They're safe now."

This Cocker Spaniel Absolutely Has a Favorite Parent, and her Side-Eye Is Epic
One of the best things about living with a pet is discovering their unique quirks and individual personalities. Even when their quirk might be letting you know exactly where you rank for them.
Maggie Moo, an very spunky, working Cocker Spaniel on TikTok, is very much a daddy's girl. And she made sure to let her mom know exactly where she stand with a choice stare and a truly epic side eye. Maggie Moo's mom shared the hilarious moment on social media.

♬ Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna - SaharaBeth💜🎶Cocker Spaniels like Maggie Moo are known for their expressive personalities, so it's not too surprising that they'll let you know exactly what they're thinking, plain as day. It's hilarious to be able to tell exactly what a dog like Maggie Moo is probably trying to convey, even if only with an excellent mean mug coupled with a side eye.
How To Bond with a New DogWhile we can never totally predict a dog's personality and it's natural that they may "play favorite" to some extent, it's incredibly important to bond with your dog and establish a solid relationship with them. Putting in the effort to really bond with your dog is incredibly rewarding, and well worth the effort.
Some beneficial ways to bond with your dog can be as basic as making sure your space is ready for them, and making sure they are going to be comfortable in your home. Dogs thrive in routine, so establishing a consistent regimen for the day is also helpful. On top of everything, making sure you're fully engaged when training and spending time with your dog is very important to making sure they're getting what they need from you. This combined with lots of positive reinforcement is a great way to kick off having the tightest, "best friend" relationship possible with your new pet.
Luckily, even if your dog has a favorite like Maggie Moo, it doesn't mean there's any love lost. As so many of us dog lovers know, there is always enough puppy love to go around.

Tiny Bernese Mountain Puppy Learning New Tricks Is Almost Too Cute to Handle
All dog lovers agree, there's not much better than seeing a tiny little puppy learning new things.

Jen captioned her video, "Every home deserves a Berner," and commenters enthusiastically agreed, sharing photos of their own Bernies in the comment section of her viral TikTok.
Fun Tricks for PuppiesIt's important to set a new puppy up for success when bringing them home. Basic training and tricks sets up a solid foundation for the years to come with your new furry friend. Most professionals agree to start with the "Basic Five" commands which include:
- Coming When Called, Otherwise Known as "recall"
- Loose-Leash Walking
- Teaching Your Puppy to Sit
- Teaching Your Puppy to Stay
- Teaching Your Puppy to Lie Down
Once your puppy has the basics down, it can be fun and stimulating to teach them other tricks or commands. Fetch is fun and can also be great exercise for your pup, "drop it" is important for safety and respect, "roll over" is not only adorable but is also helpful for grooming and making sure your dog's belly is okay, and the classic "shake" is not only fun but can also come in handy (no pun intended) for nail trims and vet visits.
Integrating a new puppy into your family is a lot of work, but it's so worth it. Seeing how they learn and grow is incredibly rewarding, and it's so fun to envision how your little puppy will become your dog best friend over the many years you'll get to spend with each other.

German Shepherd ‘Invents’ New Toy and Proves Just How Smart the Breed Is
When my dogs want to play, and I'm busy, they probably think I'm twiddling my thumbs (which I have and they don't). It never crosses their little minds that I work from home or might be busy, and it also never crosses their minds to play independently.
They're very lovable, but not very smart... Unlike this German Shepherd, who wanted to play but couldn't find a human to play with. Instead of hooting and hollering until she got the attention she wanted, she decided to take matters into her own paws:
@nicoleygraceeeThe work ethic is unmatched #germanshepherd #gsd #fyp #foryoupage #shepherd

Luckily for her, though, Roxy is a smart girl! Mom couldn't throw her ball at the moment, so she ended up creating her own toy!
Basically, she takes her tennis ball and drops it down the flatbed. Then, she races to get it before it hits the ground. That requires some serious skill! She has to know her angles, how long it takes to get there, and where it drops. Just mastering it would keep her busy for hours.

If you're planning on getting a German Shepherd, you'll need a multi-pronged approach to keeping them satisfied and happy. That will include:
- Lots of exercise.
- Daily walks.
- Enrichment activities, like with treat dispensers or little "obstacle courses."
- Keeping up with their training.
Because they're so smart, German Shepherds will figure out where your weaknesses are very quickly, and they will definitely exploit them. You have to let them know you're in charge... Even if they invent something awesome!

A Golden Retriever Welcomed Four Tiny Puppies, and Fans Can't Believe Their Color
Four puppies, all healthy, all jet black—and their mother is a golden retriever.
When a dog owner posted this moment on Reddit's r/goldenretrievers, he probably expected a few kind comments. What he got instead was the internet collectively losing its mind, some reaching for science, others reaching for jokes, and most doing both at the same time.
🐶SIGN UP to get "pawsitivity" delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾
Dad Will Be Asking QuestionsThe Reddit thread did not disappoint. One comment set the tone immediately: "Dad gonna be asking some questions." From there, the comparisons got creative. "Oh no, they were in the oven for too long," wrote one user. Another took a more technical angle: "Check your ink jet. Looks like it may be leaking or overloaded. May need a whole new printer."
Can Golden Retrievers Have Black Puppies?Surprisingly, yes, and the science behind it is genuinely fascinating.
Two purebred golden retrievers cannot produce a black-coated puppy on their own. Golden retrievers carry what geneticists call the recessive "e" allele at the extension locus, a gene that essentially switches off black pigment expression, allowing only yellow and golden tones to show. The blueprint for black fur exists in the genetic code. It is simply being suppressed.
When a golden retriever mates with a dog that carries a dominant black gene, for example, a Labrador retriever, a German shepherd, or many common mixed breeds, the dominant allele wins. Those puppies inherit one copy of the dominant black gene, and that single copy is enough to override the golden's recessive trait entirely. The result is a litter of puppies that look nothing like their mother.
In other words, those four black puppies are not a mystery of nature. They are, as the internet correctly identified, a very specific clue about who the father is. He was almost certainly dark-coated.
Related: Black Dog Changes Color After Backyard Adventure—and He Knows What He Did
The Puppies Won't Turn GoldenThese dogs will not lighten as they get older. Some breeds do experience color changes in early puppyhood, but a golden retriever puppy born solid black will keep that black coat. What you see is what you get.
The Color Doesn't Change a ThingThe mother in the photos does not appear to have received this memo. She is nursing four black puppies the same way any golden retriever mother would, completely unbothered, entirely devoted, and looking rather pleased with herself.
As one commenter put it simply: "Any fully functioning human being should love them too."
The puppies look almost unreal at first glance. Four tiny black dogs lined up against a golden mother is not something your brain expects to process. But beneath the jokes and the genetics, what you are actually looking at is a mother and her four healthy puppies— unusual, a little chaotic, and completely hers.

Anxious Dogs Are Responding to One Surprising Sound—Studies Show It Works in Minutes
Maybe your dog paces when you leave their sight. Shakes during thunderstorms. Barks at everything. Watching your dog spiral into an anxiety fueled full on crash out is awful, and most solutions either don't work or take forever to show results.
But here's something you probably haven't tried yet: classical music. And it actually works pretty fast—sometimes even within minutes.
Sounds simple, right? That's what everyone thinks until they actually try it.
When Nothing Else Worked, Music DidSerenity Strull rescued Margot, a pitbull mix with severe anxiety. The dog couldn't handle being left alone and it made her very anxious. Strull tried trainers, vets, and all kinds of different techniques. Margot had even been on Prozac, but it caused seizures.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LrDCKGEy38M
Finally, a trainer suggested playing classical music to the puppy.
According to the BBC, the change happened almost instantaneously. Strull's security camera showed Margot transforming from a pacing, barking mess into a dog who peacefully slept through the day—even when Strull didn't return home until 4am.
Neighbors who'd complained about the barking stopped texting completely. Margot just... calmed down and was able to rest.
And she's not the only one. Studies show this technique works for most dogs.
Why This Actually Works
Researchers at Queens University Belfast tested classical music on dogs in shelters and private homes. They also tried playing audiobooks and listening to complete silence. Classical music won by a lot—dogs were noticeably calmer during stressful stuff like vet visits and car rides.
The numbers: over 70% of shelter dogs and 80% of home dogs showed less anxiety symptoms (less pacing, shaking, panting) after listening to classical music.
What makes this work? The right kind of classical music hits a sweet spot that tells your dog's brain to relax:
Related: Golden Retriever Puppy Thinks 'Holding Hands' Means Something Else Completely—Won't Stop
- Slow (50-60 beats per minute)
- Simple melodies
- Mostly piano or strings
- No heavy drums
This combination lowers the stress hormones in dogs and scientists think it triggers something in their brains that creates a calm and pleasant feeling.
It doesn’t just work on dogs. Zoos have tested this on elephants and gorillas with similar results—less pacing, less aggression, better sleep.
How to Actually Use This
Start when your dog is already calm and relaxed. Play the music during chill moments first—after a walk, during a nap, and when they're relaxed. You want them to connect the music with feeling calm and at peace, not with panic.
Use it before they have a stressful events. Once your dog knows the music = calm, turn it on before you leave the house, when storms are coming, during fireworks, before the vet.
Keep volume reasonable. Dogs have much better hearing than we do. What sounds pleasant to you might be too loud for them.
Other music genres can do the job too. Reggae and soft rock (with slow beats and no heavy percussion) have also calmed shelter dogs in studies.
However, audiobooks don't work. Researchers tried but the dogs just stared at the speaker perplexed instead of relaxing.
What This Could Mean for Your Dog
Not every dog will respond the same way. But for many, this simple trick changed everything.
The music costs practically nothing. There are no side effects and for many dogs, you'll see results almost immediately, not weeks.
If your dog struggles with anxiety, why not give it a try? You've got nothing to lose and potentially a much calmer and happy dog to gain.
Meet the Adorable Four-Legged 'Player' Stealing Hearts at Roland-Garros This Year
Roland-Garros, aka the French Open, has issued thousands of accreditations over its long history to champions, coaches, officials and journalists. This year, the tournament gave one to a Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Ash.
Aryna Sabalenka, the world's top-ranked women's tennis player from Belarus and last year's finalist, brought her dog to Paris for emotional support.

The moment he arrived with his own official tournament pass, Ash became one of the most talked-about personalities at the French Open. He didn't earn that title on the court, but by following Sabalenka around.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/UPfKRfmElik
Ash isn't new to the tennis world. Aryna has brought the little spaniel with her before, and even posed with him when she won the Miami Open title in March this year.
Named After a LegendThe story of how Ash came into Sabalenka's life begins with a bet. Before she competed at the US Open last year, she made a deal with her coach, Anton Dubrov: winning a title would mean she could finally get a dog.
She initially considered naming him Apple, paying tribute to New York City's famous nickname. However, the little spaniel didn't look like an apple. So, she chose Ash, a nod to Arthur Ashe, the legendary American tennis player.
Related: Lonzo Ball’s Farewell to His First Dog Is a Heartbreaking Surprise for Fans
Why Sabalenka Says Ash Is Her Secret WeaponAsh is not a player, a coach or a ballboy. But he has become impossible to ignore. In an interview with the Tennis Channel, Sabalenka talked about his calming influence, saying, "He's a mental health support, you know. I feel like I'm much more settled, more calm, more in control. Whenever I feel like going crazy on my team, I just pet Ash and I feel better."
The Role of an Emotional Support DogCavalier King Charles spaniels are widely considered one of the best emotional support dog breeds. They were bred for doing exactly what Sabalenka needs.
Originally bred as lap dogs for European royalty, they have a long history of providing human companionship. Their size makes them easy to hold, and their temperament makes them easy to trust.
Ash might not return a serve or read a second-serve pattern. But he can sit in Sabalenka's lap between matches, and that may be just the edge she needs to win in Paris.
Right now, the best tennis player in the world believes her most important support has four legs. As she tries to win one of the Grand Slam titles still missing from her collection, all eyes will be on her game. Her small spaniel companion, wearing an official tournament badge, may be the one who pushes her there.
Stray Cat Dutifully ‘Guards His Girlfriend’ While She Sleeps in Their Box
Being a stray cat can't be easy. They have no protection, no stability, and often, no support. It can be a lonely business, but luckily, some of them definitely do find a family along the way.
For example, this cat and his girlfriend. They're making it work while being strays, and they usually share a little box to sleep in. However, she has no idea that he sweetly guards her while she sleeps so she can get some rest:

How Do Stray Cats Find Shelter?Stray cats are nothing if not incredibly resourceful. They know how to stay alive in even the worst conditions, because they learn very quickly what is and isn't safe, which often involves staying in larger numbers.
Image via Shutterstock / Sukan Saythong
Cats typically like to find shelter in a place that's:
- Covered from the rain, and as hidden from view as possible.
- Up high, so they can see potential threats coming.
- Near a food source.
- Relatively warm.
Staying with a larger group helps stray cats feel a little safer, too, which is why most feral cats form "colonies" whenever they can. If you're trying to attract stray cats, leave out a warm cat box, some food, and make sure there's space for two!

French Bulldog Asked What He Does for a Living—'I Nap Like I Worked a Double Shift'
Some dogs have jobs to do—herding, hunting, driving, and guarding livestock. Reggie the French Bulldog also has a very demanding schedule and he's dog tired.
The TikTok from @reggiethefrenchi asks one simple question: "So what do you do for a living, sir?"
Reggie's answer:
"I wake up. I love everyone too much. I follow mom everywhere. Then I nap like I worked a double shift."
That's all of it. That's the whole day and he is exhausted.
@reggiethefrenchiHis living… then end 😂 #frenchie #frenchies #frenchbulldog #petsoftiktok #bulldogsoftiktok
♬ original sound - Maddie & MinaAnd every single French Bulldog parent watching nodded because that's exactly what Frenchies do. Wake up. They love aggressively. Become your tiny shadow. Then, collapse like they've been doing blue-collar labor for 16 hours.
The comments got it:
"Heavy on the ‘follows mom EVERYWHERE’."
"'Nap'. Dude, frenchies go to Narnia."
That's so accurate. Frenchies don't just sleep. They look like they enter another dimension. They snore louder than your grandfather with sleep apnea. You often have to check if they're breathing. And they do this after about 47 minutes of being awake.
What Makes Frenchies This WayThe American Kennel Club has documented what French Bulldog parents learn fast:
They become dead weight on command. A 25-pound Frenchie can somehow transform into 200 pounds of immovable object. You're not walking them. You're pulling furniture across the house.
Related: French Bulldog Assumes 'The Stance'—and Every Frenchie Parent Knows Exactly What's Coming
Your lap is their only acceptable bed. They can have multiple beds scattered all over your house—mine do. They don't care. If you're sitting, they're sitting on you. Your comfort doesn't factor in. You are their favorite piece of furniture and lovey all rolled into one.
They're surprisingly deep thinkers. You can see it on their faces.
Frenchies often stare into space contemplating life's deepest mysteries. "Does existence have meaning without treats?" "Why do humans leave the house?" Heavy stuff.
They're useless as guard dogs. They’re too friendly and would probably watch someone rob you while wagging their tails. However, they'll bark once when someone's at the door, then consider their work done.
They think they are great athletes and can catch things—tennis balls, toys, literally anything thrown their way. They cannot. The confidence is impressive though.
Toys don't stand a chance. Even "indestructible" toys last about 13 seconds with a determined Frenchie.
They're gassy and shocked about it. Every. Single. Time. "Did you hear that?" Yes, Reggie. We all did. It was definitely not silent.
Back to Reggie's ‘rigorous’ schedule. Is this objectively easy? Yes. Does it somehow feel exhausting? Also, yes.
Because, honestly, loving everyone takes a lot of emotional energy. Following mom everywhere requires dedication and commitment. And napping that hard? Serious work.
Frenchies are playful, fun-loving and entertaining, but they're not built for marathons. They're built for short chaotic bursts followed by long periods of unconsciousness. They've figured out the perfect life formula: do the bare minimum, love hard, follow your person everywhere, and, most importantly, sleep like you earned it.
Reggie isn't lazy. He's just clear about his priorities. Make sure mom doesn't sneak off without him. Then recover from that exhausting vigilance with a four-hour nap.
That's not unemployment. That's a lifestyle.
Rare Buffalo Named ‘Trump’ Sports the Most Famous Hairdo on the Internet
Something tells me that the president of the United States would be really honored to find out that a buffalo has been named after him — a very special, very rare albino buffalo at that.
However, this animal isn't American. He lives at a cattle farm in Bangladesh and has been named after Donald Trump because he happens to have the exact same famous hairdo as the commander in chief of the USA (though, if you ask me, the buffalo wears it way better).
@nypostHe’s the commander-in-beef. An albino buffalo with a fetching coiffed blonde combover is going viral for the wildly spot-on resemblance to President Trump. Learn more at the link in bio.
♬ original sound - New York Post | News - New York Post | NewsThis video from the New York Post on TikTok that shows a peek at Trump (again, the buffalo, not the president, even though that hairstyle is eerily similar to the human's signature 'do) is going viral, and before you ask, yes, the comments are hilarious.
The owner of the farm, Ziauddin Mridha, told Reuters that he's a pretty chill animal in general.
“My younger brother named the buffalo Donald Trump because the hair on the front of its head resembles Donald Trump,” Mridha said. “Despite its striking appearance, it is very calm by nature. It is an albino buffalo, and animals of this type are generally gentle and do not become aggressive unless provoked."
His name, paired with his unique hairstyle, has brought in tons of people to see him (and even take selfies with him) at their farm after he went viral online. Reuters points out that it's common for animals to be given celebrity names to attract attention during Eid, when Muslim families sacrifice livestock per the holiday's tradition.
Related: Texas Toddler Rounds up Cows in a Tiny Toy Truck Like a Seasoned Rancher
How Rare Are Albino Buffalos?Aside from his uncanny resemblance to a controversial public figure, this buffalo is also a big deal because of just how small the chances of him ever being born at all really were.
White buffalos — whether they're white because they have albinism or leucism — are considered extremely rare, and according to National Geographic, the chances of a white buffalo calf being born are just one in every 10 million births.
True albino buffalo are even rarer than white buffalo in general, though due to a lack of studies and record keeping, it's impossible to know exactly how rare. It's easy to tell them apart from a white buffalo with leucism, though; if they're albino, they'll also have traits like pink eyes, hooves, and noses, since they lack all pigment.
Hopefully, Trump the Buffalo is well aware of just how special he is... especially now that people all over the world have seen him in all his glory.

Lion-Like Pit Bull With Gene Mutation Looks Like a 'Suburban Mufasa'
Some dogs have a certain look that resembles a different species. Great Danes have been likened to horses, Chow Chows give off major bear vibes, and Shiba Inus could easily be mistaken for foxes.
Theo the Pit Bull has the body and build of the muscular breed, though he was born with a mutation in his DNA that gives him a very majestic appearance.

Theo's beautiful golden fur sparkled in the sun, yet the hair around his face is what was most noticeable.
The kingly canine had a lush mane of blondish-bronze locks framing his face, mirroring the majesty of a lion.
"Not a regular Pit Bull... he's a suburban Mufasa," the caption explained.
The comparison to the iconic character from Disney's The Lion King was spot-on, and considering his commanding stance, Theo seemed to know it. Followers fell in love with the noble fur baby and raved over his imperial presence.
"Sweet handsome boy — let that hair blow in the wind and enjoy life to the fullest!" one gushed.
"He's analyzing the wind smells really seriously — admirable," another pointed out.
"The Fabio of Pit Bulls. He’s gonna be on the cover of a romance somewhere," a follower noted.
"Gorgeous King Theo!" someone cheered.
Theo Has FGF5 MutationCoat length in dogs is controlled by a single gene called FGF5. Since long hair is a recessive trait, a mutation of FGF5 coding inherited from both parents results in a long-haired coat, even if the mom and dad canines are both short-haired dogs.
Related: Pit Bull Gets Regularly 'Spoiled' By 91-Year-Old Grandma and It's the Sweetest
Though it's rare, the altered gene can be carried by any breed, whether inherently short-haired or long-haired. Dogs with close-cropped coats like Dalmatians, Pointers, and French Bulldogs may have long and flowing fur if they carry a modified FGF5 gene.
Theo and his Pit Bull sister, Rosie, both have the FGF5 mutation, which gives them both a unique and eye-catching countenance.

Luckily for one Ragdoll kitten's parents, she's actually taking out a good bit of that Cat Wrath on something that's not them or their furniture: a balloon! As soon as she saw it, she knew she hated it, and she also knew she had to take action:
@pearlsragdollsThe fun didn't last long lol
♬ original sound - Pearl’s RagdollsPearl's Ragdolls are all raised in-house, with their parents, siblings, and any cousins/aunts that may be around. These kittens learn how to have a good time as soon as they're born, and the fun never stops. Well, at least in most cases.
Cat claws + balloon = fun is over pretty quickly, of course. This little kitten had to learn that the hard way! Now that she's learned how quickly (and loudly) balloons pop, I bet she'll hesitate around them moving forward, but I don't think she would fully give them up!

These kittens are some of the sweetest in the entire world, but they're also some of the loudest. They form strong opinions early on, and they're never going to let anyone make them question them:
@pearlsragdollsFirst time hanging out alone with Vivian
♬ original sound - Pearl’s RagdollsVivian has a lot to say. Anyone who brings a Ragdoll cat home knows for a fact that they never shut up, even when they probably should!
Do Cats Like Balloons?Balloons can be equally fun and terrifying for cats, just like they are for humans. If a cat encounters a balloon, they're almost certainly going to try to play with it.
Image via Shutterstock / xixicatphotos
Cats will be curious about balloons, and they're going to love batting them around. Additionally, they make a super fun squeaky sound when you hit them! However, playing with balloons can also:
- Scare cats.
- Set back progress if your cat is new.
- Be a choking hazard.
If you do want to let your cat play with a balloon, do it like Pearl: a small balloon, which won't make that much noise if popped. Ideally, a balloon you give them should also be mostly deflated. Balloons are thin: they will pop. Just always make sure you're supervising!

Walmart's Bestselling Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeder Really Works, Buyers Say
Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
This is the best time of year to attract new wild birds to your yard. But so many times, squirrels latch on to bird feeders and take all the seed before your cardinals and songbirds can get to them! Walmart has just marked down a bestselling squirrel-proof feeder that can help you keep your seed squirrel-free.
The Kingsyard Squirrel Proof Tube Bird Feeder is only $28 at Walmart in two colors: Red or Dark Green. And according to reviewers, the squirrel-proof feature really works.
The feeder has a weight-activated spring that closes the feeding ports when large squirrels jump on, preventing them from stealing all the seed. But it stays accessible for small and medium-sized birds like cardinals and blue jays.
One buyer writes: "The squirrels have not been able to get to the seed within."
Check out all the other features you'll get with this bird feeder:
- Holds three pounds of seed
- Suitable for a wide variety of bird food, like mixed seeds, fruits, nuts, sunflowers, and more.
- Squirrel-proof design
- Rustproof design
- Clear acrylic container lets you see seed levels
- 4 feeding ports
- U-shaped perches
- Durable metal construction
- Easy to refill by just pressing the roof down and opening the lid

Shop it!This feeder stands 15.8 inches tall and it's suitable for a wide variety of wild bird species.
Buyers rate this 4.9 out of 5 stars. Here's what they're saying:
- "This is a nice-looking feeder... In addition to common sparrows and finches, a downy woodpecker and cardinals are now using it, as well as chickadees."
- "It is squirrel-proof. Well made/sturdy."
While there are only a few reviews of this feeder on Walmart, reviewers on Kingsyard's website also say that a similar weight-activated squirrel-proof feeder truly works to detract squirrels. "Effective against my crafty, determined squirrels," writes one person.
Walmart offers free 90-day returns and free shipping.

‘Offended’ Macaw Holds a Grudge—Until Mom Says 3 Important Words
If you're lucky enough to have a vocal bird, there's no telling what might fly out of their mouth if they're upset. They're extremely intelligent, which means they know what they're saying, and they have no problem snapping back. I've never had a Parrot, but from what I've learned, they're a lot like human toddlers—always testing the limit!
One Hahn's Macaw named Theo gets "offended" when Mom comments on his appearance after he's plucked his feathers off. Luckily for her, all it takes is three words, and this sweet boy forgets all about the infraction.
@theoandcoI am waiting for the day this bird stops plucking and chewing his tail off. He is such a sweetheart. ❤️#theothehahnsmacaw #bird #birds #hahnsmacaw #birdsoftiktok
♬ original sound - Theo & CoMom's comments about Theo's featherless look are all in jest, but his reaction to it is hilarious. Whether he's acting like he's angry doesn't matter because this Macaw is too precious, no matter what he's doing.
He all but melts when she says those three important words, "I love you," and he says it back—albeit a little annoyed and frustrated when he says it!

After Theo got over his hurt feelings, he went right back to being the good boy we all know he is. He knows it, too, as shown in this follow-up clip:
@theoandcoAlways proud of this bird, regardless…He is my joy, my world and the only reason I breathe. In honor of mental health awareness month. Studies show that listening to just six minutes of birdsong can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. #theothehahnsmacaw #bird #birdsoftiktok #birds #hahnsmacaw
♬ suara asli - mm_desain - mm_desain Do Macaws Really Hold Grudges?Macaws are so smart that they are capable of holding grudges. Compared literally and figuratively to human toddlers, they have the emotional capacity to remember people and events, specifically if you've scared them, broken trust, or even taken them to the vet.
They might show you they're upset with the silent treatment, refusing to interact with you or preen in front of you, through body language (ruffled feathers or crouching into attack mode), or even biting.
Experts say it can take a few hours to a few days to forgive. It can take days to months! To earn their trust back, let them lead the way, and don't force interaction.
Like with cats, dogs, and humans, reward them with high-value treats to coax them back to letting it go. They might forgive, but don't expect them to forget! It's a good thing Theo's so darn cute and that he loves Mom so much, or this might've ended in a totally different way!

French Bulldog Assumes 'The Stance'—and Every Frenchie Parent Knows Exactly What's Coming
Biscuit the French Bulldog just froze completely mid-room. Bat ears up. Body tense. Eyes locked and daring. Hindquarters coiled like a spring and ready to pounce.
Every single Frenchie parent on the planet watching knows exactly what’s about to happen next. It’s about to be on.
The TikTok from @biscuit_thefrenchie shows the moment every French Bulldog parent recognizes instantly. "If you have a Frenchie, you know exactly what comes after this stance," the text reads.
The caption? Simple but effective. Just "Yup 😅"
@biscuit_thefrenchieYup 😅
♬ original sound - LawwtieNo other further explanation needed. The vibe is in full effect. If you know, you know.
The comments said everything:
"Chaos...it's always chaos 😩😭"
"Zoomies on a 1000 then they’ll be exhausted 🤣"
"Ready, set, zoomie time 😂"
"Full contact zoomies."
That last one matters because Frenchie zoomies aren't just regular zoomies. They're furniture-rattling, zero-regard-for-obstacles, full-body chaos. They’re zoomies on steroids and it all starts with ‘The Stance’.
What 'The Stance' Means for French BulldogsThe Stance is unmistakable. Ears forward. Body frozen but somehow vibrating like a car idling before starting a race. Eyes intensely focused on everything and nothing at the same time; daring you to engage or provoke. Back legs loaded and ready to launch.
This is your warning shot. The moment where time slows down and you think "should I move the coffee table?" But, you better be fast on your feet because what’s next always comes as a shock.
What follows: pure chaos. Frenchies take off like they've been shot from a cannon. They race around rooms, spin, slide across floors, bounce off furniture, and run in patterns that make zero sense.
Related: This French Bulldog 'Stares Like You Owe Him Money'—and Every Frenchie Parent Felt That
Once they start, there is no stopping them until they run out of energy. Then they flop down beside you completely exhausted.
These sudden bursts of energy are completely normal in all dogs. But Frenchies? Frenchies commit fully and take it to a completely different level. Put it this way, if zoomies were an Olympic sport, they’d win gold every single time. Their compact, muscular bodies plus their dramatic personalities mean when they zoom, they ZOOM.
The stance signals that something's about to go down. Play. A sprint to the kitchen. An urgent demand for attention. A puppy wrestling match between littermates. Whatever it is, it's coming and it’s coming fast.
Why this happens: Dogs build up energy over time. Sometimes that energy needs a sudden outlet. For French Bulldogs especially—who do short bursts of intense activity followed by long naps—zoomies are how they burn off that extra energy so they can actually relax.
@pubityThose EYES at the end 🤣🐶 #RoadTo15Million #Pubity (Andrew Thompson via ViralHog)
♬ original sound - PubityThe stance is their body getting ready to pounce and run. Their muscles tense. Mental focus sharpens. An internal countdown begins. And just like that... liftoff.
What Frenchie parents do: Clear breakables. Grab phones. Accept your fate. Because once The Stance appears, what's coming is inevitable. All you can do is get out of the way.
You can't stop it. You only have the privilege of witnessing it.
The best part? After about 30 seconds to two minutes, Frenchies act like absolutely nothing happened. Watching it in real time almost feels like getting a firsthand experience of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the canine version. They flop on the couch, slightly panting, looking at you like "What? Why are you staring?"
Meanwhile you're standing there, coffee table moved, cushions everywhere, watching this bat-eared tornado pretend innocence.
That's life with a Frenchie. The Stance appears and then, the zoomies happen. Chaos unfolds and extrapolates. Five minutes later, they're snoring like they didn't just run seventeen laps at maximum speed.
If you have a Frenchie, you've definitely lived this moment, maybe even today.
And, don’t worry, you'll get to live it again tomorrow.
Golden Retriever Saved From Slaughterhouse Has the Most Grateful Eyes
Some dogs have terrible luck. While some are born to wear sweaters and be called pretty from the moment they're born, there are dozens of others who will never know love in their lives. If they're lucky, however, some of those dogs are rescued just in time.
That's exactly the case for this Golden Retriever. Her lot in life was particularly nasty: she was being sent to a slaughterhouse. Luckily, though, someone managed to swoop in and save her just before it was too late:
@poppyevelynfitSo so loved already🤍 #fy #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #goldenretriever
♬ original sound - ClaraPoppy Evelyn has two Golden Retrievers in her home now, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Her first Golden's name is Nellie, who is just the sweetest girl in the world. Nellie grew up with another sibling who recently passed away, so she knows how to share.
We don't know anything about this new pup yet, except for the fact that she was rescued from a slaughterhouse. Most likely, she was going to be part of the dog meat trade, which is a part of several other countries. The sale, trade, and possession of dog meat is illegal in America.
Related: Rare Golden Bernese Mountain Dog Looks Like a Pot of Honey
Most likely, she was rescued overseas by an international advocacy group before being transferred to the United States, where she was adopted by Poppy, who adores her. The pup has had the most difficult start in life, but these days, she's really living it up:
@poppyevelynfitCould never be replaced🤍 #dogloss #souldog #childhooddog #rescue
♬ original sound - 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥She might never be able to replace her new mom's childhood dog, but that's not what they need. All they need is a pup to fill their home with love, and this sweet girl definitely checks that box!
How to Help Slaughterhouse DogsThe fact that dogs are living in these conditions is horrifying, and the fact that a breed as beloved as the Golden Retriever is targeted is proof that no dog is really safe. In fact, the big, lovable breeds are some of the most common to see in slaughterhouses: bigger dogs have more meat.

From the United States, it can be tough to do anything to help stop the dog meat trade, since it's not common here. However, there are ways, like:
- Only supporting ethical breeders, if you choose to support breeders at all.
- Volunteering with international groups to help transport or foster rescue dogs from overseas.
- Donating to organizations that help rescue them.
You can also register to rescue dogs with those same organizations, just like Poppy did. They'll often even transport the dog to you! Be careful, though, you might get an even better dog than you ever thought was possible!

This Sweet Golden Retriever Misses Her Stuffed Animals During Laundry Day
Poppy, the Golden Retriever, appears to be having an extremely difficult emotional day because every single one of her beloved stuffed animals has suddenly vanished into the laundry system at the same time.
And honestly? She looks deeply concerned about it.

♬ Oh No (Instrumental) - KreepaTikToker@poppy_ofthe_prairie shared the adorable clip showing two entire clotheslines filled with freshly washed stuffed animals hanging from clothespins while sweet Poppy patiently waits beneath them like a tiny anxious parent outside a daycare pickup line.

The caption jokingly apologized to the dog:
“Apologies to Poppy for the mess!”
But honestly, the “mess” appears to be more of an emotional crisis than a cleaning project.
At Different Moments in the Clip:• Stuffed animals sway dramatically in the breeze.
• Poppy stares up at them sadly.
• The toys appear to be serving tiny prison lineup energy.
• Everyone watching immediately feels bad for her.
• “It looks like a lineup at the police station.”
• “She’s not gonna identify any of them as the culprit.”
• “She’s gotta start all over again. It’ll take her weeks to put her smell back on.”
• “Looks like you need to wash those babies in cycles so she’s never without one.”
• “All those delicious smells… GONE!”
• “That’s the same look I get when I stitch up the stuffed toys.”
Honestly, the “wash them in cycles” comment feels incredibly real because dogs become SO emotionally attached to their stuffed toys and their weird little comforting smells.
Meanwhile, my Maine Coon, Meatball, also becomes emotionally devastated whenever one of his favorite gross little toys disappears for cleaning. Unfortunately, his preferred coping strategy involves screaming at me directly.

♬ original sound - joshyy 🦦Many dogs form strong emotional attachments to stuffed toys because they provide comfort, familiarity, entertainment, and security.
Stuffed Toys May Help Dogs By:• Providing comfort during rest
• Encouraging gentle play
• Carrying familiar scents
• Reducing boredom
• Supporting self-soothing behaviors
• Creating routines and emotional security
Some pups also treat favorite toys almost like companions, carrying them around, sleeping beside them, or checking on them throughout the day.
And judging by Poppy’s expression, laundry day may currently feel like the longest separation of her life.

Cockatoo’s Midday Dance Party Has Serious ‘Brings Sexy Back’ Energy
When my kids were younger, we used to end every movie night with an impromptu dance party while the credits rolled. Cutting loose and creating a spontaneous moment of fun are some of my favorite memories. As it turns out, some birds do this, too!
If you've never seen a Cockatoo dance like there's no tomorrow, Casper has you covered! Consider this your new go-to happy-making inspiration to watch whenever you need a quick boost.
@casperthetoo ♬ Arona Dance Trend - LaguitosThis video shared by @casperthetoo may only be a brief 7 seconds of "SexyBack," but it's filled with all the drama and passion of a seasoned dancer! Where did he learn how to jam out like this, and how do I sign up for one of his classes?
Casper vows to "bring sexy back" like the song says, and he's pulling out all the epic moves: headbanging, spinning, wings out, and just feeling the rhythm with every step. I'd say this funny Cockatoo might be Justin Timberlake's biggest fan!
The 2006 hit isn't the only tune this talented bird rocks out to. There's one song that really brought out the silly, goofy moves, and it just might have you doing the same thing.

♬ Whip My Hair - WILLOW Why Cockatoos Love To DanceEven though I've never had a bird like Casper, I know Cockatoos are natural-born entertainers. Some are big talkers who chat up a storm, and others prefer interpretive dance, but they're all a real riot when they hear music.
When they dance, it's their way of expressing themselves, initiating playtime, or bonding with members of their flock. Even solo, you can tell how much fun Casper is having!
Experts note that there's a neurological link between a Cockatoo's auditory and motor brains, which means they're one of the few species capable of synchronizing dance moves to a beat. In fact, there are about 30 different, distinct moves these little cuties can bust out, including Casper's impressive choreographed routine to that JT classic!

Rare German Shepherd-Doodle Is Like a Fluffy Cinnamon Roll With Legs
You can make a Doodle out of literally anything. The only requirement is that you cross whatever other breed with a Poodle, and the possibilities are basically endless. Doodles are extremely common these days, especially breeds like the Goldendoodle, Bernedoodle, and the Schnoodle.
It's pretty rare to see a German Shepherd-Doodle, but they're absolutely adorable. Recently, one German Shepadoodle mom posted a video of her pup, and he's seriously to die for:
@dani__elaynein his defense these geese aren’t very nice #puppytiktok
♬ Cena Engraçada e Inusitada - HarmonicoHCOHe's just a puppy, which means that Dani Elayne is currently watching him go through all of the phases, including his "I hate birds" phase. This is common for every dog, but breeds like the German Shepherd and the Poodle are sometimes especially aware of them.
This video is the aftermath of his beef with the geese. They definitely won, since the caption says that the geese weren't very nice. He probably ran up on one and got too close! Geese are very territorial. It's a lesson everyone has to learn once, but I can bet he won't be getting that close again!
Related: German Shepherd Mama Protects Her Newborn Pups Like a Guardian Angel
His name is Benny. He's almost 11 months old, so he's definitely on the bigger side, but he's still a baby. He's got a lot left to learn! German Shepherds and Poodles are both super curious breeds, and he's total proof. For a good enough stick, though, Benny would do anything:
@dani__elaynejust a boy and his stick(s)🪵 #puppytiktok #dogsoftiktok
♬ som original - anix nerd1He loves his sticks. While they're not the best option for a toy, Benny gets to use them as a temporary solution sometimes: it's either munching on a stick or trying to munch on a goose! Only one bites back!
What to Expect With a German Shepherd-DoodleEveryone seems to love Doodles, but when you're considering getting one, there are a lot of things you have to think about. Every Doodle is crossed with another breed, and some of those traits are going to shine through.
Image via Shutterstock / Karen Images
German Shepherd-Doodles, in particular, are a bit difficult sometimes. This is the result of two very smart breeds, and they can be very stubborn sometimes. If you want to get a German Shepherd-Doodle, you'll need to:
- Commit to an active lifestyle, with frequent walks and outdoor activities.
- Adopt a strict training regimen and stick to it.
- Start socialization early to prevent reactivity.
They're awesome, playful, loyal dogs, but the German Shepherd-Doodle is definitely best left to the professionals. Luckily, Benny's mom has it down!
