As captioned, that really is a sweet little baby, and we adore her, too! Not a care in the world as she lets the breeze rustle through her luxurious mane. I don't know what's more precious—the fact that this party girl is a tiny version of a big, majestic Mustang, or that she's full of so much joy she can't help but move her hooves!

The sweet little horse only recently came into the world on March 30, so I'd say she's crushing this growing-up thing. Born to her mama, Phantom, everyone was smitten with the pretty baby from the moment she arrived. You can just tell she's ready to take on the world!

As you can tell, the gallop gal above is small in size, and it only adds to her allure. Generally, Miniature Horses grow to be 34 to 38 inches tall at the shoulder, with most of them only reaching the 34-inch mark. Weight-wise, they're typically born around 20 pounds, but can get to 150 to 350 pounds of pure, adorable, human toddler-sized fury!

Something else about these animals that's interesting (if you're not quite horse-savvy, that's OK): Miniature Horses are proportioned like full-sized horses, which is different than ponies, who are built with shorter necks, thicker coats, and broader bodies like small, stocky horses. Likewise, ponies are more often used for driving or riding, while Mini Horses, like our princess above, are usually used for competition and/or breeding.

There is nothing like receiving that very special little orange box from Hermès, and this applies even if you are a Dachshund.

Dachshunds appreciate the finer things in life, too!

We can definitely see that in a new video of Cashew, the blond Longhaired Dachshund, who received one of those orange boxes with the brown bow.

His mom helps him open it (since he doesn't have thumbs) and reveals a beautiful red handkerchief with a green-and-blue chain design and a little silver bow hanging off it.

His mom slips his collar into the handkerchief and wraps it around his neck.

Cashew looks like a supermodel!

We found out in another recent video from the account that Cashew's mom brought the bandana back on a recent trip to Europe for him, along with a slew of other treats!

We have seen our fair share of dogs in Hermès accessories, especially Dachshunds.

Though any dog can wear the iconic brand, it does seem that it looks particularly good on Dachshunds.

We saw this a few months back with the dog of influencer Audrey Peters, who wears Hermès and also got to accompany his mom to the Hermès store in Paris.

Another influencer, Serena Kerrigan, even threw her dog Pancho, of course, another Longhaired Dachshund, a Hermès-themed birthday party.

Hermès has a whole line of dog accessories, which includes beds, coats, collars, dog carriers, sweaters, bowls, leashes, and even tents.

They are definitely on the pricey end, but it is an iconic brand, and all these items could be seen as investment pieces.

Capturing a rare-breed cat in their natural habitat is a huge deal, and for wildlife biologist, Holly O'Donnell, a very cool surprise.

While filming in the Amazon Rainforest, the experienced jungle guide noticed a pair of gigantic, curious eyes staring back at her. It's a blessing we live in the time of camera phones, the internet, and social media because now, we all get to see Holly's rare find: the Margay (Leopardus wiedii)!

This may be Holly's first Margay sighting, but it's mine, too! These small, spotted cats are sometimes called "tree ocelots" or "painted cats," and despite their stature that could get lost in the jungle's stunning scenery, you can't miss their enormous, alien-looking eyes.

These rare miniature felines reside in Central and South America, and they're classified as "near threatened" by the IUCN due to deforestation and low reproductive rates (only one, maybe two kittens every two years).

Facts About Extremely Rare Margay Cats 

If this is your first time seeing a Margay, congrats! There are a lot of awesome things about these little cuties (aside from how adorable they are). They can be confused with an ocelot, though they're smaller in size and have longer tails. The biggest giveaway that it's a Margay is those large, striking eyes!

You might consider Margays as the cat version of monkeys because of their sharp claws, grippy hands and feet, and prehensile tails used to show off their incredible climbing skills. They're arboreal, which means they live primarily in the trees, taking up space between branches and scaling forest canopies and trunks—also like monkeys!

These cool kitties are generally solitary and can navigate vertical habitats like Olympic gymnasts. Their talent for descending down trees headfirst is all thanks to their 180-degree rotating ankles, and should you ever catch them in action, you will be mesmerized!

Actual population numbers aren't known, but their low production rate alone makes them unique, hard-to-find cats. The fact that Holly not only spotted one of these felines is pretty special. That video will be hard to beat—even in the Amazon!

Something happens when you reach a certain age, when suddenly, birds become very interesting. Like deeply interesting. The video, shared by @goldboyhenry, shows sweet Henry following her to the window, settling in, and gently handing her his paw, like yes, this is part of the experience. We will be doing this together. And then when he spots a bird, he gets so excited he starts pointing like he’s personally responsible for identifying it.

Dogs love watching birds because it taps right into their natural instincts. Even the sweetest, gentlest pups still have a built-in prey drive, which means movement immediately grabs their attention. Birds are fast, unpredictable, and constantly hopping or flying around, which makes them basically the most entertaining thing on earth from a dog’s perspective.

There is also the stimulation factor. Watching birds gives dogs something to focus on without actually having to chase anything, which is kind of the perfect setup. It keeps their brain engaged, their eyes tracking, and their body alert, all while staying safely inside. It's like live TV, but better.

For some dogs, especially intelligent and observant breeds like Golden Retrievers, it can even become a little routine. They learn where birds tend to show up, start recognizing the patterns, and suddenly, bird-watching becomes a full-on hobby. Which, honestly, same.

And then there is the emotional side. If they are doing it next to their favorite person, maybe holding a hand, maybe just sitting close, it becomes more than just watching birds. It is a shared moment. Calm, focused, a little exciting, and very comforting all at once.

Dogs thrive on routine and repetition. They take their cues from certain sounds, commands, and signals. Whenever I pick up my dogs' leashes, they immediately head to the door for their walk. The second they see me take a step toward their food bowls, they start jumping up and down for dinner. It's like they've been programmed without me even saying a word.

Xbox trained them well!

In the TikTok from @bconner88, three dogs were just chilling with their dad as he played some games on his Xbox. The blue light from the television glowed in the room as the music played in the background.

After a few moments, their dad turned off the TV. The sudden silence prompted the three canine cuties to get out of their cozy positions and head to the bedroom. Not a word was spoken — the trio of fur babies automatically knew it was time to hit the hay. They even lined up in formation according to size, with the smallest leading the way and the largest bringing up the rear.

"Xbox trained them well!" the caption noted.

Followers got a kick out of the dogs' bedtime routine and were impressed with their orderly exit.

"I love that they leave in order of smallest to largest," someone pointed out.

"The two big dogs looked at each other like 'our shift is over?'" another joked.

"Dogs know that sound means its bedtime," one posted.

"The Pavlov training is real," a follower remarked.

Classical Conditioning Also Applies to Humans

Most people have heard of Pavlov's response, which is also known as classical conditioning or respondent conditioning. This learning process was initially proposed by Russian psychologist Ivan Pavlov in the early 1900s, where an individual develops an involuntary response to a given stimulus.

We see these responses in our dogs, yet there are also numerous examples with people as well. Examples of Pavlovian responses include fear conditioning, morning routines, and appetite conditioning.

Whatever response you can call it, these three dogs have their nightly routine down to a science.

We often think of service dogs in terms of the specific tasks they’re trained to perform—guiding, retrieving or alerting. But every so often, a dog does something completely outside of that training that leaves everyone wondering how they knew what to do. That’s exactly what happened in Luis Perez’s case.

A Life-Changing Partnership Luis Perez with his guide dog, Jerry.

For Luis, life hasn’t been easy. Now 45, he has spent much of his life managing multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune condition that has impacted his mobility, vision and overall health. He lost his sight in his early 20s and now receives regular plasma infusions to help manage his MS symptoms.

Like many people facing chronic illness, Luis has also experienced periods of anxiety, depression and isolation.

Hoping to regain some independence and confidence, he turned to a non-profit organization called Dogs Inc, which breeds, raises and trains guide and service dogs. In September 2024, Dogs Inc matched Luis with Jerry, a black Labrador.

Jerry was trained as a guide dog to help Luis navigate the world safely and live more independently. But it didn’t take long for him to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Jerry Sensed Something Was Off

One day, Luis began experiencing pain in his left leg. He assumed it was related to his MS, which often causes pain in different parts of his body.

But then something unusual happened. As Luis rested in his recliner, Jerry repeatedly approached him and pressed his chin firmly against his left leg. He kept returning to the same spot, again and again, as if he was trying to communicate something.

Jerry had never acted like this before. Eventually, Luis and his wife decided to take the hint and go to the hospital to get it checked out, just in case.

A Surprising Finding

After hours of testing, doctors discovered something serious: Luis had developed deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a dangerous blood clot in his leg. Left untreated, DVT can quickly become life-threatening.

Incredibly, the clot was located exactly where Jerry had been repeatedly pressing his chin.

And here’s what makes this story even more remarkable: Jerry wasn’t trained to detect medical conditions like this. He’s a guide dog, trained to assist with navigation—not to identify blood clots or internal health issues.

So, how did Jerry know? There’s no definitive answer as to how Jerry detected the blood clot. Some experts believe dogs can pick up on subtle changes in scent, behavior or body chemistry, even without training. Luis believes his deep bond with Jerry also played a role.

If Jerry hadn’t been so persistent, Luis says he likely would have dismissed the pain as an MS symptom and waited too long to seek care. It’s very possible Jerry saved his life.

And while we may never fully understand how dogs do things like this, stories like Luis’s and Jerry’s are a powerful reminder of just how intuitive, perceptive and extraordinary dogs can be.

Disney World just got three new adorable residents, and they're already stealing hearts across the internet.

Three red river hog piglets were just born backstage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Mark Penning, Disney's vice president of animals, science, and environment, shared the joyful news on Instagram on April 3 with photos including a curious piglet looking straight into the camera and sweet candids of the babies with their mama.

The text overlay says: "Meet our newest piglets,"really, that's all the introduction these adorable triplets need. The extreme cuteness speaks for itself.

Willow and Maple love each other... Most of the time. Sometimes, they really can't stand each other. It's mostly Willow who gets all snappy with her sister: Maple, the orange one, is just sitting there in this clip.

Is It Normal For Cats to Fight?

Personally, I hate confrontation. I don't have cats anymore, but when I was little, I hated it when our cats would fight. It's scary!

Just like with every other species on the planet, pretty much, it's normal for cats to fight a little. They live together and have very little opportunity to get away from each other, so there are going to be little things to fight over. They might include:

• Who gets to sit with their human

What Do You Call a Golden Retriever and Husky Mix?

That question may sound like a joke, but Penny isn't the only mix of these popular breeds. In fact, this hard-to-resist hybrid has a name: Goberian. It takes the best traits of both these breeds while softening some of the less desirable aspects of their personalities.

Much like snowflakes, no two may be exactly alike. As we see with Penny, some may have floppy ears. Others have fluffy or curly tails. You never know exactly what you may get. But one thing you can count on is a winning personality. These dogs have a lot of energy and love to be social.

We wish Penny a wonderful life with her new family! With that sweet face, she's sure to make friends wherever she goes!

Every now and then, a cat comes along who takes my breath away. They're so beautiful, it's not even fair, and their allure could come from any number of coveted traits. I've seen stunning kitties with gorgeous, majestic fur and others with gigantic polydactyl paws. But that was before I found the Cindy Crawford of cats.

Her name is Star, and this pretty kitty modeling a Victorian widow's collar will leave you speechless. Her various shades of brown-colored markings resemble the most gorgeous cow-spotted birthmark. You really need to see this runway model!

It's true that sweet Star is only showing off her crazy cool goth cat tower by @my9thlifellc, but it's hard to see anything past her amazing "star" presence. Her light brown hair on top leads down to the darker, chocolaty "cow spot" that really does look like a birthmark. She might not have intended to be a runway model, but this is one girl to keep your eye on because she's going places!

Star and her beauty mark do the brand justice, but the best part of this cat-focused company is the many felines (and dogs, too!) they share using their stuff. These are some seriously adorable pets they feature. Whether they have unique "birthmarks" or on-point eyeliner, I'm a fan!

Actually, yes—cats can have birthmarks just like us! Theirs won't look exactly like ours, but they appear as pigmented spots on the skin. You'll likely notice them on the mouth, ears, or nose, and they don't always show at birth.

For some, these freckles and markings show up later in life and can be part of the fur coloring, like with Star. Orange Cats are more likely to gain a few freckles as they age, which is the cutest thing ever. While generally harmless, if the shape changes, you'll want to get a vet's opinion.

There are independent cats, mysterious cats, emotionally unavailable cats, and then there are the ones who decide your business is now their business.

Minnie is clearly the fourth kind.

In this video, we get a shot looking down from the patio of a local pub, and there she is: a Tuxedo cat on a mission, seemingly wondering why on earth her dinner schedule has been disrupted. And honestly, she has a point. The whole family is at the pub. With the dog. While Minnie is apparently expected to just accept this? Absolutely not.

That is what makes the whole thing so funny.

Mom quickly says, “Since when do you come to the pub?” and the answer is obviously, since today, Mom. Since you all thought you could leave the house, delay dinner, and have a nice little outing without accounting for Minnie’s involvement. She found the gap in the plan and corrected it personally.

The visual alone is incredible. A Tuxedo cat showing up at a pub like she has come to file a complaint in person is already strong material. But the deeper humor is in how completely cat this is. Dogs get all the credit for loyalty and follow-you-everywhere behavior, but some kitties are absolutely like this, too. They just do it with more audacity.

I had a cat for a little while who was exactly this kind of weirdo, and that is part of why Minnie made me laugh so hard. If he were outside and you walked away from the house, he would come with you. No discussion. No vote. He would even wait for me outside a bar or restaurant and then follow me back home afterward, like it was the most natural arrangement in the world. He was a pretty amazing kitty. Cats truly are characters, especially the ones who decide they are not being left out of anything, ever.

That is what makes Minnie so instantly lovable here. She is not just hungry. She is involved. She is invested. She is part of the family operation and would like that fact acknowledged immediately.

Some Cats Bond More Deeply Than People Expect

Minnie’s pub appearance is hilarious, but it's also a reminder that some cats are incredibly social and strongly attached to their people. Kitties can build routines around meals, follow familiar voices and paths, and sometimes act a lot more dog-like than people expect, especially when food or companionship is involved. Humane World for Animals notes that cats can form strong bonds with humans and may follow them for attention, security, curiosity, or routine.

Honestly, Minnie showed up like a tiny mob wife, asking why the family had dinner plans without clearing it with her first.

Some parrots talk and some parrots sing. It’s all terribly impressive. But, Pepper the Amazon parrot? She doesn’t just talk and sing, she growls like a guard dog protecting her home and people she loves.

There's a hilarious TikTok from @peppertheamazon where Pepper's situated herself by a window, watching the neighborhood, and growling at anything that moves. The caption reads, "Please don't mind my dirty windows. 🙂‍↕️ Pepper the Amazon started growling at the robins and sparrows that eat in my front lawn and hang out on my maple tree. I also suspect she can see them up on the telephone lines, too."

The text overlay explains the whole situation: "My dog growls at anything that passes by in front of my house. Pepper started doing the same thing. My house is under maximum security."

Pepper learned how to growl from the dog. Now, she's taking her security duties seriously. Robins? Growled at. Sparrows? Growled at. Anything on the telephone lines? Probably, also, growled at.

"I have a parrot that was raised with Chihuahuas. He barks too," somebody wrote about their own cross-species mimic.

Here's what makes Pepper's growling so absolutely perfect: Amazon parrots are genuinely gifted mimics. They pick up words, phrases, songs, and random household stims with perfect accuracy. Microwave beeps, phone notifications and apparently, dog growls.

In the wild, Amazon parrots live in large flocks. In a home, they see their humans—and any other pets—as their flock like dogs do with their pack. So, when Pepper hears the family dog growling at things outside, she's learning a flock behavior. If he does it, she wants to do it too.

The growling itself is also natural warning behavior for Amazon parrots. When they see something, they ‘say’ something to warn their flock. Pepper would probably vocalize at those robins and sparrows anyway—she's just doing it in dog language now because that is what she’s witnessed.

Amazon parrots are very vocal. They whistle, sing, call, and now apparently growl. It's part of what makes them such engaging companions, even if it also makes them loud housemates.

Pepper growling at neighborhood birds from her window post? That's an Amazon parrot being social, protective, and an excellent mimic all at once.

Jet, a black Lab, and his adopted sister Quinn, a white Great Dane, have their share of health challenges, but together they are a happy and very capable team. Quinn is deaf, and when she's sleeping but it's time for the two pups to go outside, Jet has learned to nudge her like a friendly alarm clock. The gentle giant responds by springing into action, and their little routine is really the best to witness. Take a look:

I've watched and rewatched this video more times than I can count already, and I couldn't agree more with all the comments about how special Jet and Quinn's bond is.

"He looked back to make sure she was coming," said one of Jet.

"This might be the most adorable thing ever," agreed another.

"I LOOOVVVEEEE THEIR RELATIONSHIP!"

And these two brave buddies have been through a lot in their lives. According to other videos I've watched on the pair's account, both dogs were rescued from unfit, neglectful homes and suffer from a variety of health problems that would otherwise greatly impact their lives. But in their current family situation, the dogs are thriving and truly living their best lives possible.

Dogs never cease to amaze me, and seeing how these two have adapted to one another is just another example of all we can learn from our canine friends. They are the models of empathy, patience, and acceptance we all need in our lives. Plus, dogs like Jet also teach us about how to communicate with a hearing impaired pup.

Training a Deaf Dog

When it comes to training deaf dogs, they can learn just as well as hearing dogs with just a slight adjustment to the training approach. With hearing dogs, trainers typically use both verbal and visual cues. With deaf dogs, hand signals replace verbal cues, relying on visual communication instead–or a little boop on the snout, if you're Jet!

Many trainers still speak while working with deaf dogs, as facial expressions and body language play an important role in communication. In fact, combining verbal cues, facial expressions, and hand signals is a common approach for both hearing and deaf dogs, helping reinforce understanding across the board.

Using both verbal and visual cues can also be especially helpful later in life if a hearing dog loses its hearing, making the transition much smoother. Dogs that are already familiar with hand signals can continue to follow direction with little disruption, even after becoming deaf.

One of the things that has boggled my mind ever since I was a child is the fact that there are probably hundreds of thousands, if not millions of species in the world that I have never seen and will never see in my life. So many of them went extinct millions of years before I was born!

Nat Geo Animals is always where I go when I'm looking to learn something new about animals, and for good reason. They're always there! It's only fitting that they teach the world about Ethiopian Wolves!

In the video Nat Geo posted, the Ethiopian Wolves are all pups. Though they're definitely wolves, and one of the rarest species of wolves at that... Those just look like puppies to me. I could totally convince one to be my pet and snuggle with me. Right?

They're playing pretty rough in this video, which is a quintessential learning behavior for most young animals. Wolves, puppies, and even cheetah cubs play like this. It helps hone their hunting instincts and grow their motor skills!

How Do Wolves Raise Their Pups?

Wolf pups are born into packs, and the entire pack gets their paws dirty to help out. Wolves stay with their young for about a year, sometimes two, before they strike out on their own to form their own packs.

In that year or two, wolf pups will:

• Wean (at about 3 months old).
• Play.
• Learn essential pack structure.
• Begin to hunt with the older wolves.

Eventually, they start hunting on their own, and then they'll leave their pack to start their own. Most never see their families again, but for that time when they're young, they're as close as close can get.

There Are Fewer Than 500 Ethiopian Wolves

The Ethiopian Wolf can only be found in the Ethiopian Highlands, which is a rugged, mountainous region that runs from the horn of Africa to a little bit west. They're stunning, with gingery-colored fur and sweet little ears!

Unfortunately, these wolves are critically endangered, and they face more and more threats every day. Some of the biggest factors that impact their population are:

• Habitat loss due to agriculture.
• Diseases spread by stray domestic dogs (rabies/distemper, heartworm, etc.).
• Humans, who will kill them for going after their livestock.

Their population is still decreasing, but little pups like these give everyone hope. They're truly so beautiful!

There are so many ways dogs make our lives better, and their incredible ability to connect with people is one of them. Some dogs have a magical power, and they seem especially suited to reading emotions and needs. They turn that magic into action and become therapy dogs, a calm presence that brings a lot of comfort to others.

On April 1, @trainingtails2024 shared a video to her company account where she runs dog training classes, and that's where we meet this stunning doggy.

We learn that the Saluki cross is hoping to become a therapy dog to work at the school where his mom works, and that's so cute. The trainer said that he's already showing great signs that he was born to help others, pointing out that his "door manners are already fab," and while there are still some areas he could improve on (can't we all), he's got the heart and spirit for it. 

And so many people are going to fall in love with him! You can see how gentle he is, and according to the post, he was also a rescue dog who is definitely now living the life he deserves.

In the comments, one person was very curious about what other breed this stunning dog was, other than a Saluki, but as a rescue, there's no clear answer.

Saluki Dogs Are Considered a Rare Breed

If you've never heard of a Saluki dog before, you're not alone! These are a rare dog breed, not because of their temperament or personality, but because they're usually not a breed we see in the United States. They're really amazing pups! 

According to the American Kennel Club, Salukis are known for being "dignified, gentle, and independent-minded," and are at the top end of the "affectionate with family" scale, landing in "lovey-dovey" territory. 

Interestingly, the Saluki is one of the world's oldest dogs, dating back as far as 7000 B.C., the club explains. They were a favorite breed for kings, pharaohs, and even Alexander the Great. They were brought into England in 1840, the American Kennel Club notes, but still, it's not a breed we see much of today—let alone a pup mix like this beauty.

Some cats look dignified and majestic. Baby the big burly black cat? He looks like he's had a hard week and needs a smoke to take the edge off.

There's a TikTok from @itsbeanandbaby where Baby the black cat has a tiny toy hand stuck on his paw. He's trying desperately to get the thing off. But the angle, the motion, his desperate expression—it looks exactly like a longtime chain smoker taking a much needed drag.

The comments are full of fans absolutely loving Baby’s antics.

Cats Are Protective of Their Paws and Often React to Anything Touching Them

Here's what's actually taking place: cats are incredibly protective of their paws. Feline paws are packed with nerve receptors that help them detect temperature, pressure, texture, and vibrations. All those functions mean their little paws are super sensitive—which is great for hunting and climbing but also means anything touching them can feel completely overwhelming.

When something gets stuck on a cat's paw—whether it's a toy hand, a piece of tape, or anything else—they'll try their best to remove it immediately. It's not comfortable at all. It feels totally weird. They want it off.

Baby trying his best to shake off that tiny hand? That's normal cat behavior; a typical reaction to the situation. The fact that it looks exactly like smoking? That's just perfect comedic timing from the universe.

With summer coming up, those warmer days also bring thunder. And if you have a nervous dog, you know just how stressful it can be to watch them tremble through a storm. Then come the Fourth of July fireworks, which aren't that far off either. My little Frenchie mix shakes for hours once those start.

For anxious pups, it's hard to sit back and watch them struggle. I've tried just about every calming remedy out there with no real results. But veterinarian Andrew Jones, DVM, says one simple acupuncture point may help take the edge off. And the best part is, you don't need needles to use it.

Dr. Jones explains that his dog, Tula, gets anxious when there's a loud noise or even before going on camera. He locates the Yin Tang point at the bridge of the nose, between her eyes, and applies moderate pressure for about 60 seconds, noting that it can be repeated every 10 minutes. After doing so, he says she stops shaking, her breathing normalizes, and she appears noticeably calmer.

Calming Pressure Points for Anxious Dogs

Acupressure is a technique adapted from traditional Chinese medicine that uses gentle pressure on specific points of the body to help promote relaxation and balance. According to Animal Medical of New City, acupressure points for dogs date back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) and have long been used to support overall well-being.

One of the most commonly referenced points is Yin Tang. The site describes it as the "third eye" area and notes that massaging this spot may help encourage relaxation and the flow of calming energy through the body.

They also highlight the Yang Tang points, located on either side of the eyes, where the skull slightly indents, similar to where you might rub your own temples. Applying gentle pressure here may help dogs relax quickly, with some even closing their eyes or drifting into a sleepy state. 

These techniques are typically used as a supportive measure, not as a replacement for veterinary care.

I know I'll be trying this the next time my Frenchie mix starts shaking. Because when you're sitting there with them during a storm, even a little relief feels like everything.

The Happy Doggo animal rescue in Thailand continues to grow in their mission to save and rehabilitate street dogs thanks to its founder, Niall Harbison, and his dedicated team. The animal advocate has seen more than his share of injured and abused canines, with many of them battling serious medical conditions.

Atlas the German Shepherd mix was brought to Happy Doggo's medical clinic to remove a tumor so large it literally weighed him down. The pooch's prognosis looked good after surgery but sadly, Atlas's cancer returned. Harbison and his team decided that this sweet dog deserves to live out however many days he has left to the absolute fullest.

Harbison shared the news of the dog's cancer returning in late March and officially launched Atlas's bucket list with a commitment to "spoil this boy absolutely rotten". The first item was a trip to the beach for the gentle pooch to see the ocean for the first time, followed by a scrumptious meal.

In the Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo, Harbison posted "Part 2" to the bucket list agenda with a non-negotiable aspect of the plan.

"Since we found out his cancer is back and untreatable, we have one rule," the onscreen text explained. "Make every single day his favorite day ever."

Harbison added in the caption, "We decided to stop worrying about the 'how long' and start focusing on the 'now.'”

On the menu that day was a homemade salmon dinner along with unlimited cuddles and some relaxation in the hammock. Atlas looked overjoyed by the day's events.

Atlas Lives at the Senior Retirement Village

Harbison launched the Golden Ticket Retirement Village for senior street dogs in February. These older dogs enjoy nutritious meals, receive medical care, and their own private space. They are surrounded by loving rescue staff members and lots of furry friends.

Atlas is a resident of the village and loved by the entire Happy Doggo team. He's getting the care and affection he deserves with Harbison and others devoted to him living out his dreams.

"It’s bittersweet, but seeing him this happy is everything," the caption concluded.
