Rottweiler Auditions for ‘Phantom of the Paw-Pera’ With the Most Epic Howl
Howling is my favorite thing dogs do. I have Boston Terriers, who typically don't howl very much, but we taught them how to do it when they were puppies. It's loud, and I feel a little bad for our neighbors, but it brings me so much joy.
One Rottweiler knows all about the joys of howling, and she's an absolute professional about it. When she howls, she might as well be auditioning for Phantom of the Paw-pera:
@wongietherottieShe’s performance ready ✨
♬ original sound - Wongie The RottieWongie the Rottie is about to start selling out stadiums. I'm going to buy every ticket so I can have a private concert from the queen herself. That's a genuinely impressive howl!

Wongie is a rescue! She's originally from Trinidad and Tobago, but now lives in Canada with her mom. She has for years, and she's fully enjoying life as a princess these days. She loves watching videos on mom's phone, getting pets, and yelling when she doesn't get her way. Don't we all?
Except Wongie doesn't yell as you'd expect: she howls like a beautiful opera singer. It's a little more effective than barking, if you ask me. It's basically a siren song! After a performance like that, it's nearly impossible not to give her whatever she wants. Her howling is so popular that she's going on tour (for the small price of 50 chicken nuggets per ticket):
@wongietherottieKeep your calendars open.
♬ original sound - Wongie The RottieI'll be there. If I bring 100 chicken nuggets, will she give me a kiss?
Rottweilers Are Super VocalRottweilers are one of the loudest dog breeds of all time... And they're not even huge barkers. They do have a loud, deep bark that they'll pull out when they need to, but it's definitely not their most common vocalization.
Rottweiler sitting in a river.image via Shutterstock / Memo Ossa
Rottweilers are specifically known for the "Rottie Rumble," which most people equate to a purring cat. The Rumble is not a growl, but more of a vibration, and it usually means they're:
- Content.
- Happy.
- Excited.
- Comfortable.
There is a louder version that they do when they want attention, and they whine all the time. Howling is pretty much the ultimate sign that a Rottweiler wants attention... Or in Wongie's case, that they're ready for their Broadway debut!

Dog Crew of 4 All Have Wildly Different Reactions to Stuffed Pup
In a home with multiple pets, the resident humans usually feel a tighter kinship with one over the others if that pet's personality feels similar to theirs. For example, I relate most to our old, bitter Persian cat who's really a Grinch in disguise (and would sooner sleep than get into anything fun), while my husband is more like our optimistic Corgi, up for any new adventure.
In the Moriarty's full house of four pups—Maverick, Blue, Titan, and Bauer—each has a completely different response to Dad's surprise stuffed dog. Once you see this, you might think, "That one's like me!"
@imbluethesiberiannI think we could have all seen this coming… IB: @Suavexavier #dogsoftiktok #dogsofttiktokviral #husky #goldenretriever #puppy
♬ Quirky Suspenseful Indie-Comedy(1115050) - Kenji UedaFor starters, Maverick, the Golden Retriever service dog, is a very good boy who always has a good boy reaction, so this isn't much different. He's followed by an equally well-behaved Husky named Blue, who's more concerned and confused that the stuffie isn't responding, which is pretty on-brand!
Titan comes in third, and though he might feel similar to Blue, he's more interested in trying to figure out if the stuffie is nice because he wants to play (understandable).
And finally, the wrecking ball and youngest of the bunch, Golden Retriever Bauer, runs in like his fur's on fire! He's ready to slice and dice anything in his path, and today, it's that stuffed dog! So, of this funny canine crew, which one do you relate to most?
Related: Rescue Dog Gets Lookalike Plushie and His Reaction Is Priceless
Mom and Dad love to test out reactions with the quad, and in another post, they attempted to trick the pups into thinking an alligator was swimming in the pool. Now that you've seen each of the personalities, I'm sure you can guess how this one ends!
@imbluethesiberiannWe’re safe from gators… I think? #dogsoftiktok #husky #goldenretriever #huskies #dogs
♬ Quirky Suspenseful Indie-Comedy(1115050) - Kenji Ueda The Main Personality Differences Between Golden Retrievers and HuskiesIf we take age, experience, and training out of the equations above, reactions to something new come down to the breed's general traits.
Golden Retrievers are typically eager to please, trainable, and affectionate "Velcro" dogs who thrive on attention, while Huskies are a little more independent, have higher energy levels, and can be stubborn at times, depending on what's in it for them.
Obviously, all of that goes out the window when our chaotic king, Bauer, comes along!

Golden Retriever Puppy in a Pool Is a Floating Bumblebee Baby
There are two types of summer energy. People who have plans, and then whatever this is. Absolute bliss. Zero responsibilities. Just floating.
The caption reads, “Donut in his bee floatie. Donut is me this summer,” and honestly, same. This tiny Golden Retriever puppy named Donut is just drifting around the pool in a little bumblebee float, like he booked a resort vacation and has nowhere to be. Talk about cuteness overload.
@it_is_a_pancake_lifeDonut is me this summer 🌼🐝
♬ These Words - Badger & Natasha BedingfieldIn the clip shared on the TikTok account @it_is_a_pancake_life, Donut is calmly floating, letting the water carry him while his little feet occasionally dip in like he’s testing the vibes. The tiny Grinch feet. The toe beans. The overall commitment to relaxation. It’s almost too much.
The comments were fully on board with his lifestyle.
Related: Golden Retriever Puppy Does a Perfect Backflip Into the Pool and Chaos Follows
“Watching all his problems buzz away,” one person wrote, which is exactly the energy.
“Living his best resort life,” and yes, he absolutely is.
“Precious baby,” and “The cuteness is too much,” both of which feel correct.
“Oh my goodness, look at the little Grinch feet, so precious, I can’t,” which… same. I cannot.
“His little toe beans in the water,” which deserves its own moment.
“Cutest little shark I’ve ever seen,” which is somehow accurate.
“I never knew I needed to see a Golden on his bee floatie in the pool with his cute little feeties,” and now none of us can unsee it.
I keep watching him just gently float around like this is his full-time job. I'd basically do anything to hang out with Donut in the pool on a hot summer day!
Can Puppies Go Swimming? @dr.adam_christman3 Pool Tips For Your Dog! Save & Share. #dogpoolsafety #dogtips #vettok #doghealth #dogpool #dogparents #jersey
♬ A tropical house that feels Summer vibes - RoaPuppies can go swimming, but it’s important to introduce them to water safely and gradually. Not all puppies instinctively know how to swim, and some may feel nervous at first, so supervision is always key.
Using a shallow area or a secure float like this can help them build confidence while staying safe. It’s also important to keep sessions short and positive so they don’t get overwhelmed or tired.
Some breeds, like Golden Retrievers, are naturally more comfortable in water, but even then, it’s still important to monitor them closely and make sure they can easily get in and out.
And of course, never leave a puppy unattended in water, even for a moment. Because while floating like a tiny bumblebee baby looks effortless… safety always comes first.

Pilots Go Viral for Making 'Cat Meows and Dog Barks' and the Internet Is Divided
There are a lot of things people want from pilots.
Competence, ideally. Calm under pressure, absolutely. Clear communication, yes.
What most people do not expect is a little unauthorized barnyard theater over the airport radio.
And yet, here we are.
@cbsnewsTwo pilots appeared to make meowing noises and dog barks as they communicated with each other before air traffic control at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport called them out on Sunday. "You guys, you need to be professional," an air traffic controller is heard saying. #pilots
♬ original sound - cbsnewsIn this video, two pilots are apparently communicating with each other at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport by making meowing noises and dog barking sounds before air traffic control finally cuts in with the deeply exhausted line, “You guys, you need to be professional.” Which, honestly, is one of the funniest possible ways this could have ended. Not a screaming meltdown. Not a dramatic threat. Just one person clearly trying to hold the remaining strands of civilization together while two grown adults turn the runway into a petting zoo.
It is ridiculous, but in a very recognizable human way. One comment says, “God forbid we have whimsy 😭” and that really is half the internet’s reaction. The other half is basically, please do not do improv where planes are involved. Then there is the extremely funny middle ground, summed up by the comment, “To be fair, that controller is probably STRESSED.” Yes. Very much, yes. There is a strong chance that the controller had already dealt with 12 other forms of nonsense before the meowing even started.
View this post on InstagramAnother comment, “This is why you still fly an RJ damn 💔😭,” has such specific industry-burn energy that even if you don't know exactly what it means, you know it landed.
This whole thing hit me in a specific way because my dad was a pilot and absolutely had the same kind of sense of humor as the controller. Dry, practical, slightly done with everyone. Meanwhile, I was the one doing the meowing, which is probably why I am not employed anywhere near a runway, a control tower, or honestly, any profession where adults are expected to remain serious for longer than six consecutive minutes.
My dog, Lola, would also be completely disqualified from aviation. She is far too chaotic to be near a runway. She would hear one bark over the radio and assume she had been personally summoned to defend national airspace.
This clip is so shareable that it drops people right into a perfect little argument. Is it funny? Extremely. Is it dumb? Also yes. Is the controller the secret hero of the whole thing? Without question. That tension is what gives it legs. A tiny burst of absurdity, immediately followed by someone being the designated adult.
View this post on InstagramWhich, really, is the structure of most societies.
A Little Whimsy Is Funny, Right up Until Someone Has To Be the AdultEverybody instantly recognizes the roles. Two guys doing creature impressions over a radio, like they forgot where they were, and one controller sounding like the only parent left at the sleepover. The FAA’s own guidance makes it pretty clear that radio communication is supposed to be sharp and professional, which is exactly why the controller’s: “You guys, you need to be professional,” hits like comedy gold.
Why did this clip go so viral? It is not just about cat noises and dog barks; it is about the eternal human drama of somebody trying to have a little fun while somebody else is one inconvenience away from becoming wallpaper. There is room for jokes in life, sure. But maybe not on the frequency where people are trying to land planes.

Maine Coon Cat With Rare 'Sand and Sea' Split Tint Looks Like a Stunning Watercolor Painting
I see a lot of really pretty cats each day, and I consider every single one perfect in their own way. Some of them have unique features, like gargantuan paws, while others are teeny-tiny babies compared to others their age. I honestly thought I'd seen it all, especially in popular breeds—until now.
Lotus, the Maine Coon kitten, was blessed with the kind of split-face coloring that seriously looks like a beach day painting. You have to see this beauty to understand what a rare find this is!

@distinct.felinestxThis feels like a warning, not a question… CCatTokKKittenTokFFunnyCatsPPetHumorC#CatAttitude #FYP
♬ The most beautiful gorgeous - Frink How Rare Is This Split Coloring in Maine Coons? If you've never seen this kind of "split" face coloring, it's called chimerism, and it's more common in some kitty breeds like Tortoiseshells. Experts agree that in a Maine Coon, this pastel "watercolor" look that's half-and-half is exceedingly rare. Cats like Lotus are deemed a "once-in-a-lifetime" kind of find, so I guess you could call her your lucky gal.
In any cat breed, the split coloring happens when two fertilized embryos combine into one. Only around 1% of felines are considered true chimera kitties, but in a Maine Coon, it's even rarer. I didn't know they existed until I found Lotus, so now my bar is a lot higher when it comes to cute cats.
Lotus' beautiful markings are highly coveted and hard to find on a Maine Coon, so if Lotus is still looking for a home, whoever she ends up with is one lucky duck!

This Dog Breed Is Ranked Among the 'Calmest' Pups Despite Their Massive Size
I've had dogs of all sizes as part of my family and learned you definitely can't judge a book by its furry cover. Small fur babies are thought of as very calm and quiet, yet a Chihuahua or Jack Russell can be yappier and more energetic than many large-breed dogs. Huge canines like Newfoundlands and Bernese Mountain Dogs boast mammoth builds that some can view as intimidating, yet they are total mushballs.
One well-known breed is considered to be a gentle giant despite its towering presence, and is now being ranked as one of the most easygoing.
Great Dane Image via Shutterstock/Darksteel DesignsModern Dog compiled a list of "Calmest, Most Laid-Back Dog Breeds" and some of their rankings may come as a surprise. While the Bulldog came in first for its gentle demeanor and affinity for sedentary activities, the Great Dane took second place in spite of their ginormous presence.
Great Danes are the ultimate gentle giants and make wonderful family pets. Originally bred in Germany to hunt wild boar, Great Danes are often referred to as the Apollo of Dogs. This working breed is highly intelligent, loyal, and closely bonds with loved ones of all ages. These precious pooches have a very calm, serene demeanor and are very affectionate.
Then there's their measurements: Males grow between 30 and 34 inches in height and approximately 120 to 200 pounds, with females standing at 28 to 32 inches and tipping the scales between 99 and 130 pounds.
Great Danes come in a variety of colors including black, black and white, blue, brindle, fawn, harlequin, merle, silver, solid white, or mantle.
Other large breeds that made the list include the Saint Bernard and Mastiff. Smaller breeds such as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Pug also fell under the calm category.
Breeds With Excess EnergyOn the flip side, there are numerous breeds that are more robust and need lots of exercise to expend their energy. Herding dogs like Border Collies and Australian Shepherds require daily activity and plenty of room to run. Smaller canines like Vizslas and Poodles have a lot of pep in their step and do best when they have regular exercise to keep them physically and mentally sharp.
Whichever breed of pooch you pick, make sure you choose a dog that suits your lifestyle so they can thrive.

Poodle Mix Watching 'Paw Patrol 'Thinks the Pups Are His Besties'
A tiny, cream-colored Poodle mix is sitting in front of the TV like it’s his morning routine, and the second the animated pups show up, he's locked in. Not casually watching. Fully invested. Little head tilted, eyes glued, soft barks and tiny whimpers like he’s trying to join the team.
His name is Otis, a Poochon (that’s Bichon Frise plus Poodle energy in one extremely fluffy body), and he seems absolutely convinced the characters on Paw Patrol are his actual friends. Not TV friends. Real friends. Coworkers, maybe.
@otis0882I like watching my tv shows in the morning, what is your favourite? 🐾🐶📺#puppy #fyp #puppydog #poochonpuppy #poochon
♬ original sound - OtisTikTok user @otis0882 shared the clip with the caption, “I like watching my TV shows in the morning, what is your favorite?” and honestly, Otis has better habits than most of us. Wake up. Turn on your show. Gently, emotionally connect with animated dogs.
The comments are exactly what you’d expect when a literal fluffball starts talking to cartoons. “OMG, little ball of fluff,” pretty much covers it, while another person wrote, “Awww, he wants a friend,” which is both sweet and slightly devastating. Like… someone get this man a playdate immediately.
Related: We Can't Stop Laughing at How This Golden Retriever Watches Her Cartoons
“OMG, I love him,” showed up multiple times (correct), along with, “The cutest little baby ever loves his cartoon friends,” which feels less like a comment and more like a factual statement. No notes.
“Look at that tiny fluff,” and “He is so precious,” are doing important work here. “OMG, he is the most puppy-looking puppy ever,” might be the most accurate description of all. He looks like what you’d get if you asked a computer to generate “puppy” and then added extra softness.
Also, and I’m just saying, our Pomeranian, Kingston, would bark at the TV exactly once, get overwhelmed, and then leave the room like he has better things to do. Our huge cat, Meatball, would sit directly in front of the screen and block the entire show while pretending he’s part of the cast. He's done it before.
Do Dogs Like TV? @oreo_carmen7717Can dogs appreciate the fine art of a web-slinging spider show? 🤔 Watch River's reaction to Lucas the Spider and learn how to make TV time fun for your pooch! 🕷️🐶💡 #TikTokTails #SpiderDog #TVTimeTips
♬ Energy - ElektronomiaDogs can absolutely watch and respond to television, but how much they care depends on the individual dog. Some are completely uninterested, while others, like Otis, are deeply and emotionally involved.
Modern TVs, especially HD and 4K, display motion more smoothly than older screens, making it easier for pups to perceive what’s happening. Many dogs are especially drawn to shows featuring animals, since they recognize movement patterns, sounds like barking, and even certain shapes.
Some dogs will react by barking, whining, or trying to interact with what they’re seeing, while others just quietly watch like it’s their version of morning coffee. Breeds with strong visual tracking instincts, like herding or hunting dogs, tend to be more engaged, but clearly, being extremely cute and curious also helps.
Fun fact: Researchers have found that dogs often prefer watching other animals, especially other dogs, over human-focused content. Which means Otis choosing a show about heroic pups is not only adorable, it’s actually right on-brand.

One Shelter’s $25 Idea Turns Into a Complete Surprise for Pet Parents
Shelters across the country are always looking for new ways to connect with people. From cat yoga classes to community events, the shift toward interactive fundraising is helping save more animal lives than traditional methods ever did.
As shelters look for fun and creative ways to raise money, we're loving the latest idea from a shelter in Indiana that really puts the fun in fundraising.
Fundraising With a TwistAt first, it sounds simple. Donate $25. Send in a photo of your pet. Get a portrait in return.
Here's the catch: You don’t know what your pet will look like when the portrait arrives.
This kind of fundraiser for Humane Indiana, called Artwork for the Animals, takes a straightforward concept and adds that fun twist.
In a post in r/WafflesAndCo on Reddit, you can see some of the artwork people have received, and the results range from wow-worthy to hilarious.
The mystery is the entire point. Some donors receive professional-level digital paintings, while others get a hilarious stick-figure sketch drawn by a volunteer with zero artistic talent.
This gamble has turned the fundraiser into a viral event. Pet parents are signing up in droves, eager to see if their furry family member will be turned into a museum-quality masterpiece or an objectively "bad" drawing that they may treasure even more.
Related: His Heartbroken Face Will Break You, but This Shelter Dog’s Ending Is Pure Joy
Why People Love ItThe community reaction has been overwhelming. One supporter commented on the Reddit post, saying, “This is such a great idea for a fund raiser. Looking forward to seeing the masterpieces.”
Another person added, “Ooh this is awesome! Where do I sign up to get one done of my boy.”
Shelters Have Learned to Get CreativeFundraising for shelters has changed a lot in recent years. Simple donation asks still matter, but creative campaigns tend to travel further, faster.
Animal shelters have grown tired of the standard bake sale. To raise money for the animals they try to save, they have found new and creative ways to raise money with things like mystery boxes, naming contests, special virtual events and now unpredictable pet portraits.
These ideas give people something to talk about, something to share and, most importantly, a reason to participate.
People don’t just donate because they’re asked to. They donate when they feel something.
In this case, curiosity, joy and even a little risk.
And when a shelter can tap into that, even with something as simple as a $25 mystery portrait, it changes how people engage. Not just with the fundraiser, but with the idea of helping in the first place.

The Benefits of Treat-Dispensing Toys for DogsIt’s no secret that dogs are natural problem-solvers, and while some are certainly better at it than others, treat-dispensing toys have a knack for tapping into those instincts. Instead of offering instant rewards, these toys encourage dogs to think, paw, nudge and flip their way to a tasty payoff. This not only keeps them engaged and sharpening their skills, it also keeps their minds active and in discovery mode.
Just as important as physical exercise, mental stimulation is especially beneficial for high-energy breeds and pups who spend a lot of time indoors. Working for treats can even help reduce boredom, which often leads to unwanted behaviors like chewing, barking or digging where they shouldn’t.
These toys also turn snack time into a more interactive, rewarding game. Rather than a quick treat that’s gone in seconds, a treat-dispensing toy gives dogs a mini activity that slows things down and keeps them engaged a bit longer than they normally would be. Think of it like a puzzle toy or slow-feeder bowl, which can help pups pace themselves and avoid eating too quickly.
Be sure to snag this toy while it’s still in stock, or pick one up for a friend or family member with a pup in need. While you’re at it, check out Aldi’s $4 fur removal stone and versatile travel tote for more must-have pet essentials.

Man Tried to Smuggle Thousands of Ants in Pill Capsules and the Video Will Make You Cringe
Some stories feel fake until you realize they’re very much not. Like, your brain wants to categorize it as internet nonsense, but then you look a little closer and suddenly it’s… a real situation involving actual authorities and consequences.
This is one of those stories. And unfortunately, the details only get stranger the more you sit with them.
@cnnA Kenyan court sentenced a Chinese national to 12 months in jail and fined him 1 million shillings after authorities found thousands of live ants packed in capsules at Nairobi’s airport. #CNN #News
♬ original sound - CNN - CNNA video shared by @cnn shows the moment authorities uncovered a bizarre smuggling attempt involving thousands of live ants—carefully packed into pill capsules and hidden inside luggage.
Yes. Thousands.
According to reporting from the BBC, a Chinese national was arrested at Nairobi’s main airport after attempting to travel with more than 2,000 live queen garden ants. The ants had been placed into capsules, creating a setup that is somehow both meticulous and deeply unsettling to look at. I was itching just watching the video.
He was later sentenced to a year in prison and fined 1 million Kenyan shillings. The judge described him as not entirely honest and noted a lack of remorse, while also pointing to growing concerns around wildlife trafficking and its ecological impact.
And I don’t know what part of this is the most confusing. The planning? The execution? The fact that someone looked at thousands of ants and thought, yes, this is worth the effort?
People in the comments were having a moment with it.
“I’m really not hustling hard enough,” one person wrote.
“I don’t have exciting enough hobbies,” another added.
Which… fair. But also maybe let’s not aim for this level of ambition.
Why Was He Smuggling Ants to Begin With? @drstain31#tiktokviral #nairobi#BreakingNews #antsamugllings #chinease
♬ original sound - Dr StainAs strange as it sounds, there’s actually a market for this.
According to the BBC, collectors in places like China and Europe will pay significant amounts to maintain ant colonies in controlled environments called formicariums. These transparent setups allow enthusiasts to observe complex social structures and behaviors up close.
Certain species, especially queen ants, can be extremely valuable because they are essential for starting and sustaining a colony. In some cases, they’ve been reported to sell for hundreds of dollars each.
That demand has led to a rise in illegal trafficking, which can have serious ecological consequences when species are removed from their natural environments or introduced into new ones.
So while the video itself feels surreal, the broader issue behind it is very real.
Still. There is something about seeing thousands of ants packed into capsules that makes your brain quietly say… absolutely not.

Duckling Bath Time Is the Sweetest Entertainment for Family Doodle
To echo one viewer's comment, "I thought my kitchen was missing something." I have a doodle, a large sink; all that's missing is a group of stinking cute ducklings ready to swim.
Unfortunately, ducklings are not in my future right now, but I'm happy to play this video on repeat instead. In it, four of the fuzziest and sweetest ducklings bravely plop themselves one by one into an inviting kitchen sink. They paddle around so happily that the family doodle pops into frame, curious about the fun his housemates are having. He puts his paws up on the counter and peers into the sink, adding the cherry on top to this wholesome and delightful scene.

♬ Here Comes The Sun - 2019 Mix - The BeatlesFans flood the comments with their desire for the same idyllic scenario, taking the video as a "sign to get ducks" ASAP. A couple of others liken it to "a Dawn dish soap commercial," which is so true.
One refers to the dog as "the cutest lifeguard taking a headcount."
It's a purely comforting clip that everyone should bookmark for when they need a serious dopamine hit.

Most Compatible Dog Breeds for DucklingsIf you’re like me and are now wondering whether your dog can safely coexist with ducklings, the big distinction is this: you want a livestock guardian, not a dog with a chase instinct.
Breeds like Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherds, Kangals, Akbash Dogs, and even Komondors are bred specifically to protect—not hunt. These are large, working dogs whose sole job is to detect threats and keep predators away, often just by their presence. Incidentally, most predators won’t even attempt an approach if a guardian dog is on duty.
What makes them especially interesting is how they interact with animals in their care. When raised properly, they bond with livestock (yes, even small, fragile ones) and treat them as something to protect, not something to chase. They tend to be calm, watchful, and surprisingly gentle within their “flock,” even if they’re intimidating to anything outside of it.
The Great Pyrenees is probably the most widely used and one of the more people-friendly options, while breeds like the Akbash or Kangal are more intense and better suited for situations with serious predator pressure. Across the board, though, these dogs are independent thinkers—not typical “family pets”—and can be aloof or even unfriendly with strangers.
The biggest takeaway: success depends on early exposure. These dogs need to be raised alongside the animals they’re meant to protect so they imprint correctly. Even then, maturity takes time—many don’t fully settle into their role for a year or more.
The main thing to understand is that if ducklings are part of the picture, you’re looking for calm, protective, low-prey-drive breeds with the right upbringing—not just a “nice” dog with good intentions.
Ultra-Fluffy Samoyed Puppy Looks Exactly Like a 'Living Cloud'
A huge downside to working remotely is never having a chance office meeting with a cute dog. What a surprise it would be to go about my daily tasks, making calls and doing office things, and an adorably fluffy land cloud walks in. I can't even imagine how great that might be.
This is the exact scenario that played out in one office when an ultra-fluffy Samoyed puppy named Gnocci paid everyone a visit. As expected, lots of tears were shed during this happy-making moment, and now I'm thinking this is the place to be!

The woman crying the happy tears would be me a million times over, and I wouldn't be sorry one bit! This scene never once crossed my mind (probably because it's been so long since I've worked an in-person job), but now I'm envious (and a little sad about my life choices)!
As "the floofiest floof that ever floofed," Gnocci lives up to all the best traits of a Samoyed, but I'd be remiss not to give extra credit to how much cloud-like fur this little guy has. He's like a lamb! A hug from him would definitely cure any illness, blues, or stress, so I'll take one, please and thank you!

Gnocci is training to be a therapy dog, which means he could show up in lots of places to give even more hugs to anyone in need. I'm thinking I need to move to wherever he lives, just in case we cross paths!
At just 9 weeks old, the precious Samoyed puppy is a pro at stealing hearts with his good looks alone, but his personality is even sweeter.

For $7.99, shoppers get a duo of wholesome ceramic mugs, each featuring a pastel yellow hue with a cute giraffe design, cutesy heart accents and the words “Mama” and “Mini” printed on their respective sizes. The “Mama” mug is about your standard mug size, while the “Mini” mug comes in a bit smaller, perfectly matching their adorable labels.

Each one has an integrated rounded handle for a comfortable hand feel, while the ceramic construction makes them durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use.

They are also not microwave safe, so exercise caution when pouring very hot drinks. 'Unwanted' Street Dog Becomes 'Most Wanted Girl in the World' and It's the Best
Niall Harbison has quite a following on social media thanks to the amazing work he does saving and rehabilitating street dogs through his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo. He posts the stories of these precious animals and the amazing challenges they often overcome. Sometimes, Harbison shares the best news of all — a dog getting their forever home.
Dolly is a sweet, small brown dog that was in poor condition when Harbison rescued her. After staying at the Happy Doggo sanctuary and getting the love and medical care she needed, she's finally getting her happy ending.
View this post on InstagramThe Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo shared Dolly's story and showed how vulnerable she was at the time of her rescue.
"They said she was too old to be loved," the onscreen text read as Dolly quietly sat in a basket after her rescue. "Two months ago, she was found sick, fragile, and abandoned on the streets. We thought a 'happy ever after' was impossible."
Clips of Dolly shortly after arriving at Happy Doggo revealed her weak condition. Yet through all of her pain and trauma, the precious pooch had the kindest demeanor and loved getting affection.
Dolly Has a New HomeThis canine cutie is now getting the storybook ending she deserves. Harbison revealed that Dolly "found her person" and will be heading to her forever family.
"It’s hard to believe this is the same dog we found shaking on the street a few months ago," the caption noted, with highlights of Dolly being cuddled and trotting through grass with a spring in her step. "Dolly was dumped because she was old and 'unwanted', but today, she is the most wanted girl in the world."
The fur baby won't be going too far since her new mom will be living in Thailand.
"She caught the eyes of a lovely lady who is moving to Thailand soon, and that’s where she will have her happy ever after," the story continued, sharing that Dolly is already "officially adopted".
Dolly showed pure love and gentleness throughout her entire ordeal, and was beloved by everyone at Happy Doggo.
"Proof that it's never too late for a second chance," the video concluded.

Owl Sets up Shop in Lowe's and Dives at Customers Like He Owns the Joint
When you head to the store to pick up supplies to make some home repairs, you expect to see lumber, garden tools, and hardware. What you probably don't anticipate is getting dive-bombed by an owl.
But one Lowe's is trying to protect both customers and an owl by putting up a warning sign that should (hopefully) keep everyone safe. Take a look at this video uploaded to TikTok, and tell us whether you'd keep shopping or leave your project for a later date!

"He's been diving down on customers," the caption continues. "Genuinely, what do you do in this situation?"
Well, viewers had strong responses to that question.

"I work for Lowe’s garden center, and I will do everything I can to protect any bird and their babies," another person stated.
Aw, we love that, and so does this viewer, who wrote, "Lowe's employees doing the right thing. Kudos to them for looking out for wildlife."
Still, this owl is looking pretty serious!
"The direct eye contact with the camera 😂," another viewer noted.

I definitely think this owl is giving "Go home! Store's closed!" vibes.
Of course, others are envious of getting a glimpse of this beautiful creature while running an otherwise dull errand.
"I'm so jealous my Lowe's doesn't have an owl family 😫," someone commented.
Now, I have to be honest, I've had a lifelong fear of birds. I don't wish them any ill will, but it's that dive-bombing that makes me twitchy. So, even as much as I can admire those gorgeous eyes and unique markings, if I saw that sign, I'd run to my car. Sorry, owl, I still respect your right to be there!
What Makes an Owl Swoop? Some viewers suggested that this owl may be a mama protecting her young. That makes sense. Owls swoop or "dive-bomb" when they perceive a threat or want to protect their territory. They'll use their sharp talons, too, if necessary. Nesting season usually happens from January through March, so it stands to reason that there may be some little owls living at Lowe's as well.
We wish the growing family the best and hope customers take that sign seriously! Nobody wants to leave with some new tools, shrubs, and serious scratches from an angry owl!
Apricot and Gray Maine Coon Kittens Form the Sweetest Reverse-Colored Cuddle Puddle
There is something about kittens that already feels soft and calming, but when you get two of them together, everything somehow gets even quieter and sweeter. Especially when they decide the best possible place to be is curled up right next to each other.
That’s exactly what’s happening here with two Maine Coon kittens who look like they were designed to match. One is a soft apricot with bright blue eyes, the other is a gentle gray with touches of apricot, and together, they form what can only be described as a perfectly coordinated cuddle puddle. This entire clip is reminding me ever so sternly that I don't need any more pets.

♬ i think i'm addicted - oskar med k & Haley JoelleTikToker @moonsmainecoons shared the clip with the caption, “The best resting place,” and honestly, that feels like an understatement. These two are tucked into a faux fur cat bed, completely relaxed, completely content, and very clearly convinced that this is the correct way to spend the day.

They shift slightly, press closer, and settle in again, as if they’re syncing up. It’s not just cute; it’s the kind of quiet moment that makes you stop scrolling for a second and just watch.
And there’s something extra special about the way their coloring mirrors each other. The apricot kitten stands out with that warm tone and those bright eyes, while the gray kitten softens everything with those subtle apricot accents. It’s like they were meant to be a pair.
Also, I’m just saying, my own huge Maine Coon would try to insert himself directly into the middle of this situation like he belongs there.
Do Kittens Do Better When Raised in Pairs? An orange and a gray Maine Coon kitten playing.Image Via: Eric Isselee/Shutterstock
Maine Coon kittens, like most young cats, often benefit from being raised with another kitten.
Having a companion helps them learn important social skills, like how to play gently, read cues, and burn off all that extra energy in a healthy way. It can also reduce boredom and help prevent behavioral issues that sometimes come from being alone too often.
Kittens raised in pairs tend to keep each other entertained, groom each other, and as seen here, sleep together in the coziest possible ways. That kind of bonding can lead to more confident, well-adjusted adult cats.
Kittens spend a huge portion of their day sleeping, often up to 16 hours or more, and they naturally seek out warmth and closeness when they do. Which is why cuddle puddles like this aren’t just adorable; they’re completely instinctive.
And honestly, once you see something this soft and perfectly matched, it’s hard not to think two kittens might just be better than one.

Parrot With 'Flair for the Dramatic' Has the Most Glorious Pronunciation of 'Wings'
One of the best things to ever exist is a place for all the adorable pets to get their 15 minutes to shine. The internet isn't always a fun place to hang out, but if you stick to this little pocket of content creation, you can't lose.
Gideon is a prime example of how to use social media the right way. This smart, funny Parrot isn't only stunning with his vibrant jungle colors, but once you listen to him practicing his new song—and some seriously cute new pronunciations of words—you'll be cheering for more!

Though Gideon is just one member of a large "flock" family (nine, to be exact!), he's a fan favorite with nearly 727k TikTok followers hanging onto his every new word, phrase, or unbridled passion, calling out his nicknames. This is why the internet was invented!

Litter of Irish Wolfhound Puppies Moves Like a Pack of Tiny Land Sharks
One of the biggest joys in the world is playing with a litter of puppies. Seeing all their energy and tiny paws with tails that quickly wag from side to side is 100% pure bliss. But all those puppies also come with a level of chaos that is a little reminiscent of something else.
This video shows exactly how chaotic a litter of puppies can be, and how all the little pups swarming around give off the same energy as land sharks.

Irish Wolfhounds Look More Intimidating Than They AreAccording to the American Kennel Club, Irish Wolfhounds, which are part of the hound group, are considered "dignified, courageous, and calm," which is funny because calm isn't a word many would use with puppies, especially not these "land sharks." But as they grow, their personalities mellow, and Irish Wolfhounds are very lovey-dovey, good with other dogs, and pretty OK with young children.
The club explains that Irish Wolfhounds look intimidating because of their size, but they're not great guard dogs because they're pretty calm and chill. These pups are "serene and agreeable" and can run really fast.
So if you have your very own land puppy, soak up all their silliness because they'll be fully grown before you know it.
