Rare Otterhound Has the Time of His Life With a Single Toy

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 10:55am

One of the many great things about social media is being able to see things we would probably never see if we weren't uniquely connected in this way. For animal fans, spotting a day-in-the-life video of a rare dog breed is a special find, and one dog family is helping us learn more.

In this quick but cute clip, we meet a rare Otterhound, a breed we don't see every day or hear about often enough. There's something especially charming about watching such an uncommon breed just hanging out and living their life, and it's so special.

@pablo.7296 shared a video of two beautiful, giant dogs, including one rare breed that we don't get to see or hear of too often. One of the giant beauties is a black, fluffy Newfoundland, but the other one, in the back, is the breed that caught our attention because we don't see the cute Otterhound too often!

Meet Rocco, that scruffy-looking giant dog who is having the best time chewing on a random toy. He looks like several different dog breeds mixed into one. But he's uniquely his own, and watching him be so cute and quiet in this clip, where it would be easy for the stunning Newfoundland dog to get all the attention, Rocco shines in his own way.

In the comments, most people were at a loss for words, unsure what to say about such a gorgeous and rare breed. Instead, they left a lot of emojis, including hearts, heart eyes, and big smiles. Plus a few comments, including "Hello, cuties" and the Polish phrase "Piękności słodkie," which translates to "Sweet beauties," according to Google Translate.

Otterhounds Are a Rare but Fascinating Breed

If you've never heard of an Otterhound, you're not alone. We don't see many of these breeds out and about, and the chances of running into one aren't very high. But they sound like a very interesting pup.

The American Kennel Club describes the Otterhound as being "even-tempered, amiable, boisterous," and they're a member of the hound group. They're big dogs who can weigh up to 115 pounds and grow to be up to 27 inches. They are considered very affectionate with family, landing in the "lovey-dovey" category, and are known to be very vocal.

The site explains that this "scarce breed," bred in medieval England for otter hunting, is known for their "dense, shaggy coat, webbed feet, acute sense of smell, and affinity for swimming." They're powerful, which you could guess because they're so big, and they're experts at swimming.

Rocco is adorable, and while he's not having a fun afternoon in the water, he's having fun hanging out with his fellow dog, and we love meeting him.

Golden Retriever Puppy 'Personally Offended' by Family Eating Dinner Is a Hangry Queen

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 10:46am

In this funny clip, a young Golden Retriever named Mochi has little patience for her family, who insist on leaving her out of their dinner plans. Mochi protests as if "personally offended" that not one of them would assume she deserved not a first, not a second, but a third dinner. The pup yelps and bites her paw while pathetically hanging over the back of the couch and giving her humans a look of disdain.

Mochi's "woe is me" act is par for the course, as her human attests in the caption: "I love her...even when she's dramatic."

@mochigirl.golden

I love her… even when she’s dramatic. She’s already had two dinners tonight. #g#goldenretrieverlifed#dogpersonalityd#dramaticdogd#dogmomlife

♬ Heartwarming, everyday, funny BGM(1194980) - K's note

And she's not alone in Golden Retriever-ness. I've personally written about more "overly emotional", melodramatic, and intense Goldens than I can count on both hands. But for all of the ones who entertain us with their histrionics, there are just as many who charm us with hearts of gold.

If you’ve ever lived with a Golden Retriever, you've experienced this first-hand. One minute, they’re thrilled about a tennis ball, the next, they’re emotionally devastated by the vacuum cleaner. And it turns out that science might actually back that up.

Related: Golden Retriever Unlocking New Trick Is Both Impressive and Satisfying

A Surprising Connection

We eat up amusing videos that depict these emotional swings, but there might be a very good reason why we're so engrossed. A study by researchers at the University of Cambridge discovered a surprising link between human and Golden Retriever behavior.

When the genetics of more than 1,300 Golden Retrievers were analyzed, something fascinating was discovered: some of the genes linked to canine behavior are the same ones tied to emotional traits in humans.

In other words, the things that make Goldens lovable — their sensitivity, enthusiasm, and occasional theatrical reactions to everyday life — may be written into their DNA, just like humans.

The study identified genes connected to traits like trainability, energy levels, fearfulness, and social behavior. One gene linked to how easily a Golden learns commands is also associated in humans with intelligence and emotional sensitivity. Another gene tied to dogs being nervous around certain situations is connected in people to anxiety and overthinking.

Researchers say these genetic overlaps help explain why dogs sometimes react emotionally to situations we might think are no big deal — like the doorbell, a loud truck, or a suspicious-looking leaf.

So, if your Golden Retriever dramatically flops on the floor after a minor inconvenience, science suggests you shouldn’t take it personally. (Or judge them too harshly!) They might just be genetically wired to feel everything a little more intensely — which, honestly, is part of what makes them (and us) so lovable.

Mom Finds Kittens ‘Stashed’ Under Her Vanity and It’s Too Cute

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 10:00am

Cats seem to be willing to have kittens anywhere. Every time I hear about a cat who had kittens, she gave birth to them, like, in a laundry basket. On a closet floor. Under the bed. They go where they feel most comfortable, and that is apparently in the most random places.

One cat recently decided that her favorite place to stash her kittens is under her mom's vanity. She didn't give any indication that she was putting them there, though. The new grandma only found out when the kittens were tickling her toes:

@laurennplante

♬ LOVE LOOKS PRETTY ON YOU - Nessa Barrett

Lauren Plante was expecting kittens since she knew her cat was pregnant, but she was not expecting them under her vanity. When she spotted them, she was so excited! There are six:

  • Two orange kittens.
  • One black kitten.
  • One orange and white kitten.
  • One peachy-colored kitten.
  • One Calico kitten.

They're a little bit older; you can tell because their eyes are open, and a few of them are moving around a little. Most likely, their mom keeps stashing them under there!

Why Do Cats Move Their Kittens?

Cats love to move their kittens around. They pick them up by the scruff of their neck and carry them from place-to-place, and have been known to do so several times a day.

Mama cats move their kittens around for several reasons:

  • She wants to bring them closer to where she wants to be.
  • She found a more comfortable spot.
  • She wants them to be more hidden.

Additionally, constantly moving the kittens around is a survival mechanism. If she left them in one place for too long, predators might catch on, which could put her kittens in danger. Obviously, that's not something our indoor cats have to worry about, but it's instinctual.

Cats Give Birth Under Cover

Just like moving her kittens from place to place helps keep them safe, a mama cat will typically try to find a quiet, secluded place to give birth. She doesn't want her kittens to be found by someone dangerous!

Kittens sleeping on a blanket.

Outside, a cat might give birth under a car, in a box, or in an area covered by tall grass. Inside, however, your pregnant cat might choose to give birth in:

  • A closet.
  • A covered area (like under a desk/vanity, under a table, etc.).
  • Your bed.
  • A pile of blankets.
  • A cat condo, if they have one.

When you find the kittens, make sure you don't move or touch them without their mother's permission. Even if your cat loves you, touching her kittens might make her angry!

Golden Retriever Pup Can't Sleep Without Toy Monkey

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 9:20am

All parents can agree that there’s no time for monkey business at bedtime. We all want our little ones to settle down and get a good night’s rest.

Don’t tell this to Benny, the Golden Retriever!

In fact, Benny takes monkey business to a whole new level in the form of a stuffed animal. Specifically, a stuffed monkey.

“Had to bring his monkey to bed,” Benny’s pet mamma shares in an adorable TikTok clip. “The sweetest little pup.”

Boy, I’ll say!

Benny is just the cutest little fella! Look at those adorable eyes!

It seems like, as much as he loves his monkey, he really just wants to share it with his mamma. Awww!

Fans can’t get enough of Benny. Whether he’s trying to bring his monkey as a gift or simply skip the doggie bed tonight and sleep next to his mamma, everyone loves this guy.

“My dog has that same monkey,” a viewer said. “It’s the only toy she likes, and she has a ton.”

Hmm, I wonder what it is about this toy monkey that pups love it so much.

Do Dogs Like Real Monkeys?

Worth looking into, right?

After doing some important research, it seems that dogs do not have a natural affinity for monkeys. While rare, unlikely friendships can form! In fact, I had a poster on my wall growing up of a monkey riding on the back of a dog, and the two seemed to genuinely enjoy having each other as pals. In most cases, though, encounters can be dangerous, as either animal may harm the other.

As for whether dogs like stuffed monkey toys, it’s obvious they do!

Puppies look so pure when holding a toy in their mouths,” another fan added.

“Way too cute,” someone else chimes in. “LOVE IT!”

Of course, Benny is so cute that he could have a stuffed rattlesnake in his mouth and I’d find it adorable! What is it about Golden Retrievers that makes them so darn lovable?

Good night, Benny!

Husky ‘Sounds the Alarm’ When Mom Tries To Sneak Into the House

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 9:00am

I have never and definitely will never have a Husky of my own, but my aunt had one when I was little. Interestingly, she really wasn't that loud, but my aunt ran a tight ship when it came to training her dogs.

I found out when I got older that Huskies are actually sirens wearing dog costumes, and it's funny every single time. For example, this Husky: his mom came home a little bit later than normal. She tried to sneak in unexpectedly, but...

@ooopsiedaisi

#huskylife

♬ original sound - ooopsiedaisi

The best part is how hard Loki the Husky tried to hold it in. You can tell that he was trying not to howl, but there's no stopping it. He had to get it out, even though it was the middle of the night. Howling waits for no man!

This video received over 2 million views and nearly 500,000 likes. Loki was a very expressive, very handsome boy, but he ended up passing away very unexpectedly a few days after this video was taken. She hasn't shared any details, but claims it, "couldn't have been more like Loki to go out with a bang.

Loki's Mom Still Loves Animals

Loki's passing came out of nowhere, and it was really recent; she hasn't gotten a new dog or mentioned if she's planning to. However, she isn't letting the sudden loss of her furbaby get in the way of her love for animals:

@ooopsiedaisi

♬ Tenderness - Elia Lo Monaco

That's a baby goat that her parents actually took in; their mother rejected them. Luckily, they don't mind, and they've taken to bottle feeding them. While it definitely won't heal her pain, hopefullyit helps bring her a little joy.

Huskies Howl Often

Before his passing, Loki was always proving how much he loved to howl. It was his favorite thing to do, and he did it all the time. Most likely, it started when he was a puppy and simply never stopped.

Huskies are vocal by nature. They were bred to be sledding dogs, which required a lot of loud barking. It was how they communicated! Though most Huskies have moved away from sledding life, their ability to howl is still there and comes out when they're:

  • Hungry.
  • Bored.
  • Over-tired.
  • Not tired enough to nap.
  • Annoyed.
  • Injured.

This is a breed that requires a lot of attention, dedication, and training. If you can manage, it, though, it's worth every bit of hardship. Loki made the world a brighter place for sure!

Heartwarming Moment Lost Dog Miraculously Finds Owner in Roadside Reunion

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 8:48am

For most dog owners, losing a dog feels like a physically painful headache, a mix of deep sadness, emptiness and shock. The traumatic experience is one most pet parents hope they will never have to endure.

What happens when you lose a dog is that you scan every dog you pass. Even if the coat color is wrong. Your brain keeps trying to turn stranger dogs into the one you are looking for.

And eventually, if you are happy, you will find your dog. In a video shared on Reddit's r/Awww, we see how a lost dog and his owner were reunited on a busy road. It was an unexpected reunion, and it felt heartwarming.

How I feel when I post and everyone ignores it
by u/wakeboy45 in funny

The man was ordering food at a takeaway when a happy dog came wagging his tail and wiggling his butt. The dog sniffed his owner, and at that point, both knew they found themselves. You might mistake the man's reaction as cold, but in Thailand, there is a different culture around owning dogs.

Related: This Dog's Cozy Corner Might Be the Most Adorable Decorating Idea Ever

How Did the Internet React?

Many fans were in awe of how cold the man reacted. But that happens when you do not get the cultural explanation. One Redditor wrote, "I was gonna say I was so sad how hyped the dog was and how the human didn't really seem to care much. After a week? I'd be in tears if that little cutie found me. and I'm a cat person!"

Another one pointed out the nonchalant reaction by the man, saying, "So it seems like he's been traveling and happened upon him the same way when I happen upon a friend in NYC when we both live in Washington. 'Small world!' Vibes right there."

Luckily, someone living in Thailand provided a translation and explanation.

Related: Mini Aussie Rescue Dog Becomes an Unexpected Hero for Traumatized Kids

Difference Between Owning a Dog in Thailand and the U.S.

Many of the commentators were surprised by the man's reaction. Luckily, someone translated the conversation and explained the culture of owning dogs in Thailand. The translation reads, "Hey! That's my dog. He's been missing for a week now."

For someone living in the United States, a dog missing for a week is a recipe for a heart attack. But in Thailand, many people "own" dogs, but they keep them outside. They just feed them, especially the bigger mutts. Small dogs are an exception, but people typically don't keep larger breeds indoors.

That is the total opposite of the Western world, where pet humanization has taken over. We consider dogs as part of the family, and they are allowed everywhere, on the couch, bed, and even in the shower. We cook for them, pamper them, and do everything we can to provide a happy, long life. But this video reminds us that the bond between a human and an animal is not tied to a specific house or a fenced yard.

Stray Cocker Spaniel Who 'Chose Mom' at the Gym Gets the Perfect Storybook Ending

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 8:20am

I've said it before, but I truly believe we don't choose our dogs; they choose us. They're excellent at reading people and energies, so if a pup has ever come up to you over everyone else, congrats—you're the lucky chosen one, and I'm infinitely jealous.

In case you woke up today and thought, "I need a good cry," let me tell you about Pluto, a Cocker Spaniel who stood outside a gym and stared at his chosen human until she helped him. It's been many months since that kismet meeting, and I'm thrilled to say Pluto is finally getting the happy ending he's always deserved.

For a precious pup wandering all alone in the world back in September 2025, the lovebug Cocker Spaniel has come a long way from being covered in fleas and stickers with matted fur. His rescuer, now mom, Kimberly, first attempted to find his home, but as it turned out, it was with her! From that decision came vet visits, first experiences like a pet store to pick out new toys, grooming, and pup cups, but now the sweet boy knows what it's like to feel loved.

He's such a sweet, gentle soul that she decided to train him to become a therapy dog, which meant doggy bootcamp for five weeks. The proud training graduate returned home just before Christmas, and of course, had a little welcome "pawty!"

Do Cocker Spaniels Make Good Therapy Dogs?

You might wonder if Pluto is just so very special that no others within his breed could possibly come close to being the best therapy pup. But because of their gentle, affectionate, and compassionate nature, Cocker Spaniels make some of the best, most empathetic service pets around.

With their size, trainability, and friendliness, these dogs are up for the challenge of comforting others and are well-received by schools, nursing homes, and everything in between. Plus, sweet Pluto is one cuddly lovebug who appreciates all the pets he can get!

This Stunning Cat Looks Like She’s Wearing Winged Eyeliner and False Lashes

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 7:55am

I'd argue that every cat is beautiful in their own way. But a British shorthair named Xenia? The girl looks like she stepped straight off a runway.

A stunning feline is turning heads online after photos of her perfectly defined eyes appeared on Reddit’s r/SupermodelCats. The post, titled “She has natural eyeliner and loves posing,” quickly caught attention for one obvious reason: Xenia looks like she’s wearing flawless winged eyeliner and dramatic false lashes.

But the striking look isn’t the result of a grooming session or a filter. It’s simply how she was born.

🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

In the photos (be sure to flip through all of them), Xenia’s soft golden coat frames bright green eyes lined with dark, perfectly shaped markings that resemble expertly applied cat-eye makeup. Her lashes appear unusually long and dark as well, giving the impression that she’s wearing mascara to complete the look.

Related: British Shorthair Kitten With Caramel Macchiato Coloring Looks Like a Little Hollywood Star

What Redditors Are Saying

Naturally, Reddit commenters had plenty to say.

“Not only does it look like natural eyeliner, it looks like she has natural mascara and fake eyelashes too,” one person wrote in the post's comment section.

Another joked, “Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s Meowbeline.”

Others were equally impressed with her glamorous appearance. “Stoppp, her makeup is so good. Ask what products she uses,” another commenter wrote.

The original poster shared a bit more about the feline beauty in the comments. Her name is Xenia, and she’s a black golden shaded British shorthair who will turn nine years old this year.

Of course, the eyeliner effect isn’t actual makeup. Many cats have darker pigment around their eyes, which can make their eyes appear more defined. But in Xenia’s case, the markings are especially dramatic, giving her that striking, supermodel-like vibe.

And based on the photos, she seems to know it. Several shots show her sitting upright and gazing confidently at the camera, almost as if she’s aware that her natural glam look is stealing the spotlight.

About British Shorthairs

Xenia’s breed may also play a role in her standout appearance. British shorthairs are known for their plush coats, round faces and large, expressive eyes, which can make their facial features appear especially defined.

The breed is one of the oldest and most recognizable cat breeds in the world. British shorthairs are typically described as calm, easygoing and affectionate without being overly demanding of attention.

Their dense coats come in a wide range of colors and patterns, including the golden shaded variety seen in Xenia. This coloration features warm golden tones with darker shading along the fur, which can create striking contrast around the eyes and face.

While every cat has their own unique charm, Xenia’s naturally glam look makes it easy to see why she’s turning heads online. Safe to say, Xenia woke up like this.

Dachshund Turns 'Failed Crate Training' Into Coziest Upgrade and It's Impressive

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 7:10am

My dogs have their special spots in the house that they've claimed as their own. Since neither my Dachshund nor Pug mix ever gravitated toward a crate, I let them find their own little nooks in the house where they like to unwind.

My Doxie loves curling up in the corner of a closet, so we furnished it with a fluffy dog bed for her to truly relax. Her Puggie brother opts for the left side (always the left side) of the couch with the recliner up so he can stretch out. Fleecy blankets are a must.

Stella the Dachshund also wasn't a fan of crate accommodations and chose a more suitable area to sleep that fulfills her comfort requirements.

In the TikTok from @stellalunaween, the darling Doxie sleepily stretched in a luxurious bed. Snuggled under the cozy comforter, Stella rested her head on a fluffy pillow and seemed in no hurry to get up any time soon.

Apparently, her sumptuous sleeping quarters were provided after unsuccessful attempts at the crate.

"POV: You failed crate training, so this is how your mornings look," the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, "Crate training never heard of her. How could you ever deny this cuteness?"

Followers agreed with the upgraded accommodations for Stella and shared their own "failed crate" stories.

"My puppy sleeps a full night in the bed vs. the crate nonsense," one posted.

"The battle I’d gladly lose every time," another remarked.

"We have to cuddle to fall asleep — his rules, not mine," a follower noted.

"My Maple has never slept in a crate... She deserves the king-size bed she sleeps in," someone wrote.

Tips for Crate Training

Some Dachshunds benefit from crate training, which can help with separation anxiety and provide a safe space when they're feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Tips to ease your Dachshund into their crate include:

Related: Dachshund's Humongous 'Paw Mitt's Will Have You Instantly Obsessed

  • Choosing a crate size that allows your Dachshund to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably.
  • Creating a positive association by putting treats, favorite toys, and soft, fleecy blankets inside the crate.
  • Slowly increasing time in the crate while staying close by to help your Dachshund feel safe.
  • Maintaining a routine by crating your Dachshund at specific times, like before meals, after walks, or bedtime.
  • Using positive reinforcement to reward your Dachshund for going in the crate and praising small milestones.

It takes time to discover whether or not your Dachshund is geared toward a crate, so proceed with flexibility and a whole lot of patience.

Lykoi Maine Coon Kitten Mix Has the Cutest Little Werewolf Face

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:55am

If you have ever wanted a kitten who looks like it wandered out of a tiny gothic fairy-tale forest, please meet Frank. In a cute TikTok video, a Black Kitten with a stark white face sits politely on a stool during what appears to be a very serious photo shoot, holding out one paw like he’s about to sign autographs.

Frank has what can only be described as a little werewolf face. Dark body. Pale mask. Slightly naughty blue eyes. He looks like he turns into something dramatic at midnight, but still politely uses a litter box.

One commenter joked, “You kissed the color right off his face,” which is such a specific compliment and somehow exactly right.

Frank’s unique appearance has people wondering if he might be a Lykoi Maine Coon mix, sometimes playfully referred to online as a “Lycoon.” The idea of combining the wild, sparse-coated Lykoi with the giant, fluffy Maine Coon is internet catnip. A werewolf, but make it majestic.

But here’s where things get interesting.

More Information About Maine Coon and Lykoi Mixes @robertcoad530

#onthisday

♬ original sound - FUREVER FRIENDZ

Maine Coon Central explains, "There is no recognized hybrid breed between the Lykoi and the Maine Coon in any major cat registry, such as TICA (The International Cat Association) or CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association). The Lykoi gene responsible for the sparse 'werewolf' coat is recessive, meaning that a cat must inherit two copies of the mutation—one from each parent—to express the Lykoi appearance. When bred with a Maine Coon, which carries dominant genes for thick, long fur, the result is far less likely to resemble a Lykoi. Instead, the offspring would probably have normal or slightly thinner fur without the signature patchy look. That said, unofficial crosses between Lykois and Maine Coons may occasionally occur. However, these are rare and unpredictable."

The Lykoi’s distinctive werewolf-like coat comes from a recessive gene mutation. That means a cat must inherit two copies of the mutation, one from each parent, to display the sparse, patchy Lykoi look. Maine Coons, on the other hand, are known for their thick, long fur driven by dominant genes.

When a Lykoi is bred with a Maine Coon, the resulting kittens are far more likely to have normal or slightly thinner fur rather than the dramatic werewolf coat. That said, unofficial crosses may occasionally happen (ask any pet parent who didn't get their cat to their spay/neuter appointment on time). These would be rare and highly unpredictable in appearance. Some kittens could inherit unusual coat patterns or textures, but they would not automatically display the classic Lykoi “werewolf” look.

So while the internet may love the idea of a Maine Coon Lykoi mix, and some breeders claim to be working with the combination, there is no recognized, standardized hybrid breed at this time.

Which brings us back to Frank.

Whether he is a unique mix, a beautifully marked domestic kitten, or simply blessed with dramatic face contrast, one thing is certain: Frank has mastered the art of looking slightly mythical while sitting on a stool like a Victorian child in a haunted portrait.

And honestly, that is enough.

Golden Retriever Puppy and Elderly Cat Battle Over Cozy Bed in the Ultimate Showdown

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:42am

If you have ever bought a pet bed thinking you were being thoughtful, you already know the twist ending. It becomes the most valuable real estate in the house, and suddenly everyone is a negotiator. That is exactly the vibe in this TikTok where “WW3” breaks out, not between nations, but between a Golden Retriever puppy and an elderly cat who both believe the pink bed is rightfully theirs.

The caption sets the tone: “WW3 BUT IT'S JUST MY GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY AND ELDERLY CAT FIGHTING OVER THIS BED.” The post caption adds fuel to the tiny fire, “the girls are fightinggggggg 🤭” and honestly, it is hard not to laugh. In the first moments, the Golden is planted on the plush pink bed like she paid the mortgage.

She has that puppy confidence that says, I found it, I own it, end of meeting. The cat arrives with senior-level authority, gives a look that could curdle milk, and silently communicates, Excuse you, that is my spot.

@goldengirlymaui

the girls are fightinggggggg 🤭 #puppylife #goldenretriever #puppytok #aww #cuteanimals

♬ original sound - Maui 🌺 Golden Retriever Puppy

Cut to the next shot, and the tables turn. Now the elderly cat is sitting in the bed looking smug and unbothered. The puppy trots up like, hey bestie, remember when I was warm there, and tries to reclaim the prize. Then we get more back-and-forth moments, a little musical chairs montage where each one waits for the other to blink first. The puppy’s strategy is persistence and optimism. The cat’s strategy is patience and the power of staring into your soul.

What makes it so good is that nobody is truly being mean. This is classic sibling energy, the kind of harmless squabble that looks dramatic because the stakes are hilariously small. It is also a reminder that pets have their own rules for comfort. The bed is not just a cushion; it is the throne, the safe zone, the sunbeam substitute, and apparently the official location of all important meetings.

By the end, you are not rooting for a winner so much as you are rooting for a second bed, maybe a third, and possibly a peace treaty signed with treats. Because if there is one thing animals will always agree on, it is that the coziest spot in the house should belong to them, specifically, right now.

How to Keep the Peace When Pets Share Space

Add options and create “yes zones” so nobody has to fight for one perfect spot. Place two beds in different rooms, rotate blankets that smell like each pet, and reward calm sharing so the bed stops feeling like a scarce resource.

According to the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, positive reinforcement and thoughtful management help reduce conflict and build healthier interactions between household pets. Use treats, distance, and gentle redirection to teach both pets that good things happen when they take turns.

Lola doesn’t believe in sharing her bed, but if you ask real sweet and offer a treat, she’ll “consider your application” and approve it with a dramatic sigh.

6 Best Vet-Recommended Lap Cat Breeds

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 6:10am

Do cats like to sit on laps? Some do! If the idea of having a solid cuddle session with your furbaby perched on you is the dream scenario, you need a lap cat. These breeds are known for their high levels of affection and love of humans, which means they’re all about spending time plopped on you while you're sitting down. However, because there are so many different felines you can choose from when you're looking to adopt a pet, it can be hard to know which cat breeds are the best snugglers and low-key velcro cats. To help you find the best companion cat, we rounded up the 6 best cat breeds, according to vets.

That way, you'll feel more confident picking a loving cat that you know will enjoy bonding with you. So, what makes a cat most likely to be a lap cat? Felines will be one for a range of reasons, from being a social animal to preferring to cozy up to you for warmth. Though, a cat's personality comes into play too. "Temperament matters with a lap cat," according to Aimee Warner, DVM, resident veterinarian at Waggel. “A good lap cat doesn’t just tolerate your handling. It seeks to be close to you and find security in physical contact while thriving on calm companionship.”

Of course, every cat is an individual. With that, you may find that even some cuddly cat breeds who aren’t known to be into snuggling will actually cozy up to you and vice versa. There’s no guarantee that any breed will be a lap cat, but some are more prone to this adorable cat behavior with others. If having a lap cat is important to you, veterinarians recommend that you consider starting with one of these indoor cat breeds.

The 6 Best Lap Cats

Searching for the best lap cats that love to cuddle? Veterinarians recommend these affectionate cat breeds for their gentle personalities, calm temperaments and strong desire for human companionship. Whether you want a cat that won't leave your side, a family-friendly feline, or a low-maintenance companion pet, these vet-approved cats are known for forming close bonds and thriving in cozy home environments. It's no wonder they are some of the top cat breeds to own!

Are Ragdolls the best lap cats? According to our experts, they are one of them! In fact, they are one of the most affectionate cat breeds and are big fans of cuddling. “Ragdolls are one of the most reliable lap cat breeds,” Warner says. “They were bred to be easy-going and people-lovers.” These cats “crave human companionship” and like to follow their people from room to room, Warner says.

Unlike some other breeds, Ragdolls always want to be with someone, Warner says. Meaning, you’re unlikely to find this loving breed sitting on a shelf, gazing out the window—they’d rather be sitting your lap. “Their easy-going style of living and the fact that they want to be close to you make them good lap cats,” Warner says.

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Affectionate, relaxed, happy
  • Weight: 12-18 pounds
  • Lifespan: 15+ years

Do hairless cats like to snuggle? Sphynx cats do! They are one of the sweetest cat breeds and are often ranked among the best lap cats for people who want a cuddly, people-oriented pet. “Sphynx cats are widely known to be very affectionate, often with clingy behavior more similar to a dog than a cat,” says Julie Hunt, DVM, a veterinarian contributor at Embrace Pet Insurance

Because Sphynx cats don’t have fur, they tend to seek out heat from other sources, like their owner's lap. “Because they don't have a normal hair coat, they use us to stay warm,” says Kate Elden, DVM, chief medical officer of Dutch. “They actively seek out laps, shoulders and blankets just to maintain their body temperature.” Couple that with their affectionate behavior, and they’re an “excellent” lap cat, Hunt says. Just be aware that care for a Sphynx is slightly different from what you’d experience with a furrier cat. “Anyone looking to bring a Sphynx home should know that their lack of fur also means they need specialized skin care and protection from the elements,” Elden says.

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Loyal, affectionate
  • Weight: 6-12 pounds
  • Lifespan: 7–15 years

If you are looking for a fluffy cat you can snuggle up with, consider a Scottish Fold. This pretty cat breed is known for its signature folded-over ears and being a lap cat. “Scottish Folds are affectionate and become strongly bonded onto their owners,” Hunt says. “They often follow their owners from room to room in the house just to stay near them.”

If you want your friendly indoor cat to curl up on your lap more, Hunt says there's one trick she suggests: “Add a blanket to your lap as it can help convince a Scottish Fold to curl up on you,” she adds. When they do, it's their way of showing you affection and love.

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Loyal, playful
  • Weight: 7-10 pounds
  • Lifespan: 11-14+ years

Another cat that loves to cuddle? The Burmese! Not only do Burmese cats have a strokably soft coat, they have a reputation for being one of the friendliest cat breeds. “Burmese cats are incredibly extroverted,” Elden says. “They actually show ‘dog-like’ attachment to their owners. While this sweet-natured cat enjoys sitting on your lap for warmth, the Burmese mainly does it because they love to socialize."

Hunt says this cuddly cat breed is also “velcro-like” because of how much they enjoy being with their owners. “These companion cats like to sleep with their owners, with many Burmese choosing to sleep under the covers with them,” she explains. “Some Burmese owners have reported carrying their cats around the house in a backpack or front carrier to satisfy the cat’s desire for closeness.” Ultimately, Elden notes that if there’s a free lap for them to rest on, a Burmese will settle into it.

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Affectionate, sweet, people-oriented
  • Weight: Varies
  • Lifespan: 12+ years

Another cat that loves to cuddle is the Persian, which is a classic fluffy cat, with a gorgeous coat and regal personality. But they’re also friendly and relatively laidback making them one of the best cats for first-time owners and best cats for seniors. “Persians prefer calm and peaceful environments,” Warner says. “They can be happy just being near you or on top of you.”

She calls this breed “friendly” and “non-demanding,” which makes them a great fit for more chill households. If you're a pet parent to one, just be aware that their gorgeous coat means you’ll need to groom your pet properly, Warner says. But a little regular brushing seems like a fair tradeoff for having this puffball in your lap.

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Gentle, quiet, easy-going
  • Weight: Varies
  • Lifespan: 8-11 years
Maine Coon A Maine Coon cat lookng pretty.

The Maine Coon is a big cat with a size that can rival that of some smaller dogs. But this loving cat breed isn't just big like a pup, it has a dog-like personality too, given how much they enjoy socializing. Just be aware that you’ll need to make solid room in your lap for this affectionate kitty.

“Maine Coons can be called ‘gentle giants,’ as they are larger compared to an average lap cat,” Warner says. However, she says this devoted feline is still a good lap cat because they’re socially aware. “They’ll play with you if asked, but they’re also content just sitting quietly with you,” Warner says. “Their affectionate nature complements their easy-going demeanor.”

Breed Stats
  • Personality: Gentle, friendly, affectionate
  • Weight: 12-22 pounds
  • Lifespan: 12.5+ years

7 Signs You Have a Strong Bond with Your Dog

Sat, 03/07/2026 - 5:10am

Do you ever wonder if your dog sees you as more than just a food provider? According to professional dog trainers, there are dog behavioral cues and specific dog body language that signals a deep relationship with your dog that goes far beyond basic obedience. To help you know what those are, we rounded up 7 signs you have an unbreakable bond with your dog, according to a trainer. By understanding these subtle forms of canine communication, you can better recognize the signs your dog is bonded to you and discover new ways to strengthen your relationship through positive reinforcement and mutual respect.

After all, dogs are man's best friend, so having a tight connection comes natural. "Dogs are the first animal that humans co-evolved with, somewhere around 15,000 to 30,000 years ago," reports Annie-Mae Levy, CFBA, a professional dog trainer at Woofz, "This essentially means that dogs have had tons of time to become uniquely tuned into humans' gestures, moods and general behavior." Because of this, dogs and people get along great. "Lots of pet owners describe a dog's love and devotion as existing free of expectation," Levy says. "Your dog loves you without caring what you can do for them, how much money you have or really who you are! This is a pretty unique type of love that some people would argue is only possible through canine companionship."

So, if you have a furry family member and you are wonderings things like, "What are the signs of a strong bond between a dog and its owner?" and "How can you tell if your dog loves you?" you're in luck. Here are some signs that you and your dog share a strong bond—moments that release oxytocin and make your dog feel happy and connected with you. How many can you check off?

How do you know that you and your pup share the quintessential human-canine relationship so many experts talk about? Whether you have a fiercely independent explorer or a classic velcro dog who never leaves your side, Levy shared seven signs you have an unbreakable bond with your dog.

1. They want to share your bed with you

When you brought your dog home, you may have said, "Mi casa, su casa." Your dog may have taken this statement to mean your room at bedtime. Afterall, sleep is dreamier with you. So, if this is a dog behavior you notice your pup does, it shows they love you and have a secure attachment to you. "Dogs are naturally social sleepers, and we see the domesticated dog when a feral chooses to rest next to trusted friends," Levy shares. "This is likely due to increased feelings of safety around other dogs and the fact that they can share warmth with one another."

2. They have sad eyes when you’re leaving

Does your dog watch your every move as you grab your keys, or follow you all the way to the door? While it might feel like they are mourning your departure, this is actually a primary indicator of social attachment. It demonstrates that your dog is keenly tuned into your routine and genuinely values your companionship, which is a fundamental pillar of a strong bond with your dog.

"A dog's tendency to check out where you’re going and follow all the way to the door as you're leaving is a fairly normal sign of social attachment," Levy explains. "As long as your dog can rest comfortably when home alone, it can be a lovely sign that your dog fundamentally enjoys having you around."

3. They jump or dance for joy when you return

One of the most rewarding signs of a bonded dog is a high-energy greeting. Whether you’ve been gone for five minutes or five hours, that "happy dance" is a clear form of canine communication expressing pure joy. This enthusiastic welcome shows you have a strong bond with your dog, as they view your return as the highlight of their day and a key part of their emotional well-being.

"Happy loose body language and a wagging tail when you return home is a lovely way for your dog to show that they’re happy to see you back home," Levy notes. "This can be problematic for some dogs who will become over-aroused and struggle to control themselves, though."

Related: 10 Signs Your Dog Thinks You’re the Best Person in the World, According to a Trainer

4. They obey you

Another sign of a bonded dog? Mastering the "leave it" command. You see, this is more than just a party trick, it’s a gold standard of canine behavior and safety. When your dog turns away from a dropped snack because you asked them to, it shows they value your guidance over their own immediate rewards. This level of impulse control is a primary indicator that you have a strong bond with your dog built on a foundation of positive reinforcement.

"A dog showing this level of impulse control around high-value food suggests that they have undergone a good amount of training with you and will respect your commands even under big distractions," Levy states. "This can be a really good sign of a solid dog-human bond."

5. They come when you call

Dog parks are fantastic for socialization, but they are also a minefield of distractions. Having your dog’s full attention in a loud, busy environment is a powerful sign of canine communication and trust. When your pup listens to you and chooses to return to you over chasing a squirrel or playing with a new friend, it’s a clear indicator of positive reinforcement at work and proves you’ve built a strong bond with your dog that outweighs the chaos of the environment.

"Good recall is another great indicator that your dog perceives working for you as more reinforcing than whatever they can get from their environment," Levy says. "This can be indicative of a really strong bond that surpasses the dog's instinct to chase prey or play with other dogs."

6. They let you bathe and groom them

Do you have a strong bond with your dog? While most pups aren't exactly fans of making a splash, if they stay calm while you scrub and brush, it’s a major sign of canine communication rooted in trust. Even if they don't love the water, their willingness to cooperate proves you have bulit a solid relationship with your dog.

"Cooperation through bathing and grooming indicates you have properly desensitized your dog to this process, and they trust nothing bad is going to happen throughout," Levy notes. "This is a lot harder to achieve with some dogs who are naturally more fearful, but working them through these fears appropriately leads to a really solid bond between you."

7. They can truly relax and unwind around you

There are several dog bonding signs pet parents can be on the lookout for. One is how dogs welcome you home. While dogs are famous for their excited greetings, pets who are connected to their people will readily slip into a steady state. "Dogs that have a good bond with their owners will show true restfulness in their presence," Levy explains. "This might look like them sleeping with their belly up, lots of deep sighs around you or them wanting to sleep touching you in the evenings."

Black Cat Gets Milk All Over His Face and Is Totally Lost in the Sauce

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 9:20pm

Black Cats already have that mysterious, elegant energy… until you hand them a bowl of milk, and they immediately forget who they are. This particular milk enthusiast has completely abandoned dignity and is now wearing his beverage like skincare.

Cats drinking milk is one of those old-school images that lives rent-free in everyone’s brain, but the reality? It’s usually much messier and slightly more feral than the cartoons promised. Check out the hilarious clip here.

TikTok user @katiemcloi shared the clip with the caption, “Oh, to be a loved kitty cat,” and honestly… yes. The Black Cat is perched at the table like a tiny gentleman at brunch, except he is absolutely demolishing that bowl of milk. It’s everywhere. On his whiskers. On his chin. Possibly in his eyebrows.

One commenter said, “I’ve heard of a milk mustache, but milk freckles is a new one,” which is the most accurate description of what’s happening here. Another wrote, “Lost in the sauce,” and I need that on a T-shirt immediately.

He is not concerned with neatness. He is not concerned with optics. He is simply committed. Someone else added, “Doesn’t matter how it goes down as long as it goes down,” which feels like a life philosophy this kitty fully stands behind.

He looks like he just discovered dairy 5 seconds ago and decided to go all in.

Can Your Cat Drink Milk? Orange Cat with a milk bottle.

Image via Shutterstock/Amerigo_images

Despite the classic image of cats happily lapping up milk, most adult cats are actually lactose intolerant. After kittenhood, many lose the enzyme needed to properly digest lactose, which can lead to stomach upset, gas, or diarrhea.

Small amounts may not cause issues for every cat, but dairy should not be a regular treat. If you want to offer something similar, lactose-free cat milk products made specifically for pets are a safer option. As always, if you have any questions about what is best for your own fur baby, consult your veterinarian.

So while this milk-freckled gentleman appears to be thriving in the moment, moderation is key. The vibes are immaculate. The digestion… maybe less so.

Golden Retriever Wears Cone To Support Brother in Precious Clip

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 8:55pm

For Golden Retriever brothers, Cosmo and Loki, whatever one does, the other must follow. That means, when Loki has to don "the cone of shame," you'd better bet Cosmo wants one, too—even if he doesn't need it!

@agoldendogmom

the only reason we can come up with that he needed a cone 🥹 dog brothers are seriously the best #goldenretrievers #dogs

♬ i think i accidentally made a trend - mira~☆

As explained, Cosmo, with his perfectly crimped ears, was very concerned about his brother's new situation, so he stepped right in to help. By licking his paws despite nothing being wrong with them, Mom caved and got him a collar of his own so he didn't feel left out. This is the only acceptable friendship and devotion from now on, so if you're not wearing a collar with me, goodbye!

Related: Golden Retriever's Kissing Booth Getup Has Everyone Lining up for a Smooch

As the young pup in the family, Cosmo is a big-feeling kind of fella, and he doesn't like to see Loki uncomfortable. Dogs are emotionally in tune with us and each other, so it's not surprising he felt what his big brother felt and wanted to help. He's even done this with the newborn baby by stealing her hospital blankie as his own!

It's clear that, after losing Golden Retriever Jax, Loki needed a fur sibling for support and to lean on. Cosmo came through with flying colors. If you have a dog and have been on the fence about adopting another, these two bros are your sign to get that dog!

@agoldendogmom

wouldn’t have it any other way!!! 🐶💁🏼‍♀️

♬ original sound - prodpoodee Are Two Dogs Really Better Than One?

I've been a huge advocate of getting your dog a dog for a few important reasons, but the biggest is having two dogs to love. We weren't sure about adding another to our home when our Corgi experienced separation anxiety, but once we saw her brother at the shelter, we just knew it had to be done.

Aside from the fact that two dogs entertain, comfort, and support each other, they really are great for those anxious pups (like mine) who just want to know they're not alone when Mom and Dad are gone.

Reduced anxiety, happier playtimes, and all that other goodness mean that they're more likely to have better health, which can add time and real enjoyment to their lives—and yours. If you look at the Golden Retriever brothers sweetly looking after one another, there's your answer.

Roly-Poly English Bulldog Puppy Has the Cutest Struggle To Get Onto a Shelf

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 8:20pm

A lot of things are challenging for puppies, especially when they have short legs.

Climbing up and down stairs can be one of the greatest feats when you are just a new pup in the world, but sometimes you just have to do it!

We saw this in a recent video from @bulldogcowgirl123 featuring an adorable spotted black-and-white Bulldog puppy named Oz.

In the video, we see little Oz putting all his energy into getting himself up onto a low shelf. He struggles to get those short legs up there, but he finally does it!

Go Oz!

After he manages to get that pudgy little body to sit and turn around, it also seems as if he is not very impressed with this view from the top.

He even ruffs quietly twice.

Oz then immediately proceeds to get down.

Well, some victories are short-lived.

One commenter wrote, "Worked so hard to get on just to launch off."

Another commented that he looks like cookies-and-cream ice cream, which is a very accurate assessment.

If you are looking for some good Bulldog puppy content, then this is the account for you.

You can watch Oz conquer his fear of the water bowl, find the best places to loaf around, and climb into the laundry basket.

What To Know About English Bulldog Puppies

If you are considering getting an English Bulldog puppy (especially after watching this video), there are a few things you should know about this popular breed.

When it comes to puppy traits, they are very social dogs who love to be around people, they respond better to praise and treats than harsher tones, and they love to snuggle!

These pups also prefer short bursts of energy rather than engaging in long activity. They thrive on short walks (10 to 15 minutes) over long ones, a few times per day.

You also need to be ready to clean their face wrinkles every day.

If all of this sounds good to you, then consider this breed to join the family!

Golden Retriever Puppy and His Best Friend Turn the Beach Into a Playground

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 7:55pm

There’s something magical about puppies discovering the beach for the first time, probably because it’s a favorite place to be for adult humans, too. There’s something about the open space, the endless sand and fresh air, and the happy vibes that seem to just float in the air there; it’s like all the chaos of the world is gone, and this is the joy that’s left.

One Golden Retriever shows that while a beach is already magical, adding a happy puppy or two makes it even more so, in the best way possible. They’re carefree, full of life, and if you need a smile, this will give it to you tenfold.

@frankthegolden4

@frankthegolden4 shared the above video on TikTok, showing us a sweet and charming Golden Retriever named Frank, who is having one of his best days ever at the beach with his family and a very loved friend.

Frank is running around on the beach with his friend, a fellow dog who is happy to chase him in circles so they can zoom as fast as possible. The text on the video asks, "What goes through Frank's head when he's playing on the beach with his friend?"

And the audio basically gives away what is going through the sweet pup's head—it's the voice of a young toddler who is laughing hysterically, that sound that's impossible to not break you out in a smile.

In the comments, viewers left several different emojis, including the heart emoji and several heart-eye emojis. "Such a sweetheart," one person wrote.

Golden Retrievers Stay Puppy-Like for a While

Frank is having the time of his life on that beach, and we're sure having his friend there to share in the joy is making his memories of that day even better. And for his parents, too. The puppy-like joy this dog is oozing in this video is going to stick with him for a while, according to experts, since he's a Golden Retriever

The American Kennel Club describes Golden Retrievers as "intelligent, friendly, and devoted." Their playful personalities stem from their love for their families, their good nature with children, their willingness to take on pretty much anything, and their ability to keep that playful spirit.

"They take a joyous and playful approach to life and maintain this puppyish behavior into adulthood," the site explains, and we can totally see sweet Frank doing this same playful run a decade into the future.

Saint Bernard Puppy Rolls Down the Stairs To Welcome Guests and It’s Pure Chaos

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 7:20pm

If you have ever met a Saint Bernard puppy, you already know grace is optional and enthusiasm is mandatory. Now, imagine that enthusiasm aimed directly at the front door every time the doorbell rings or someone knocks. That is exactly what is happening in a viral TikTok clip featuring a Saint Bernard puppy named Skipper, who has decided walking down the stairs is simply too basic.

Instead of trotting politely like a normal dog, Skipper rolls. Fully rolls. Like a fluffy avalanche with legs. And honestly, it is both impressive and mildly concerning in the way only giant-breed puppies can be. I almost wish his pet parents had installed a mattress or a pile of pillows at the foot of the stairs. Just in case.

@hailey.butler0 shared the hilarious video with the caption, “Skipper when somebody's at the door,” and that sentence does not adequately prepare you for the physics experiment that follows.

The clip shows Skipper at the top of the stairs the second someone knocks. Rather than carefully navigating each step, he tucks and commits. Down he goes in what can only be described as joyful chaos, a rolling, bouncing, slightly uncoordinated descent that ends with him scrambling upright at the door like, yes, hello, it's me, I have arrived.

The comments are fully on board with this energy.

One person wrote, “He’s so creative.”

Another said, “A. I love him. B. He be skippie-de-doo-da-ing down.”

Someone else joked, “Me after a night out trying to get to my DoorDash,” which feels deeply accurate.

“Never let them know your next move,” one viewer added, which is exactly the vibe. Skipper does not telegraph his decisions. He simply becomes a floofy tumbleweed of hospitality.

Another person suggested, “Maybe Roller would’ve been a better name than Skipper,” and honestly, that is hard to argue with. A few others pointed out he looks more like a flopper than a skipper, which is fair. The man is committed to horizontal travel.

It's the kind of chaos that makes you laugh and clutch your chest at the same time because he is so big already and still so very baby.

All About Saint Bernards Two Saint Bernard puppies kissing.

Image via Shutterstock

Saint Bernards are a giant working breed originally developed in the Swiss Alps for rescue work. They are known for their massive size, gentle temperament, and famously sweet disposition with families. Despite their imposing appearance, most Saint Bernards are affectionate, patient, and surprisingly sensitive dogs.

As puppies, though, they are essentially oversized toddlers with paws. They grow quickly and often do not fully understand how large they are, which can lead to moments like stair-rolling greetings and enthusiastic body checks. Early training and socialization are important, especially because they will soon outweigh most household furniture.

Saint Bernards require space, regular grooming, and consistent training, but they are often described as loyal, loving companions who bond deeply with their people. They tend to be good with children and thrive in homes where they are included as part of the family.

Just maybe consider installing some carpet padding if yours decides stairs are more of a suggestion than a structure.

Golden Retriever's Sad Guilt Trip Over Mom Having to Work Is Breaking Hearts

Fri, 03/06/2026 - 6:10pm

My dogs know exactly how to make me feel guilty. If I'm working on my laptop or busy doing chores, my Dachshund gives me the "sad eyes" stare that she's perfected over the years. My Puggie takes things a step further and paws at me — it's his own way of saying "Mom, don't you want to snuggle with me?" Honestly, their guilt-tripping is quite effective, and I usually cave even if it's just for a few minutes.

Like my pups, Pinot the Golden Retriever was pouring it on pretty thick when her mom couldn't take a break from work to play.

In the TikTok from @parkerxpinot, the gorgeous Golden rested her head on her mom's knee and gave her a soul-level stare.

"POV: You try telling your overly dramatic dog that you can't play right now," the onscreen text explained.

The canine cutie's mom tried explaining why she couldn't interrupt her work flow and that it was nothing personal.

"I have to work," Pinot's mom gently told her as the precious pup persisted with her guilting gaze. "I'm sorry."

Her mother tried negotiating with Pinot, hoping she could be patient. "Can we play in a little bit?" she asked. "I have two more meetings."

Pinot kept nudging her mom with her snout and laying her head on her lap and chest, refusing to commit to the alternative plan. The persistent pooch would not be deterred. Her mom gave in a little bit in the hopes of buying some time.

"Just two more minutes, okay?" she asked in another attempt to placate Pinot. "And then I'll play."

Pinot Stayed by Mom's Side

Even when her mom signed in for her meeting, the fur baby didn't budge. Pinot was probably timing her on the two-minute promise.

Followers sided with Pinot and felt her mom should revamp her work schedule.

"I just don’t understand why you need a job when you have Pinot at home, and you can just play and hug all day long instead of working," one pointed out.

"If I was your co-worker I would set up meetings with you just to hang out with Pinot," another remarked.

"Meeting shmeetings…. Do you not see that face of need!" a follower noted.

"I’d just quit my job to meet her needs... Who could say no to that gorgeous, perfect face?!" someone posted.

Pinot's mom may have to speak with her supervisor about prioritizing more playtime with her pup.
