'Survivor 50's Dee Valladares Isn’t Playing Scared — And She’s Coming for a Second Win (Exclusive)

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 1:00pm

As Dee Valladares puts it, she pretty much checked everything off her Survivor bucket list in one go. In Season 45, she made some incredibly impressive moves, won challenges, and took home the win in one of the most dominant performances in recent memory. But make no mistake, the 28-year-old doesn't feel like she's playing with house money her second time out. Dee is fully aware of how much her previous season could make her an easy target early on. But she's confident that, once she has enough time to get her notable toes in the sand, her ability to make you feel like the most important person could stave off her execution. And she indeed has a lot of important people to use during her hopeful run to a second win, including the two other winners out here, and even someone she's played with — and betrayed — before.

Read on for my interview with Dee, and check in with Parade daily for interviews with this season's contestants and other tidbits. Survivor 50 premieres on Feb. 25 with a three-hour episode on CBS.

Survivor 50 interview with Dee Valladares

By the time this interview goes live, people will have seen you on The Challenge. Did that different reality show experience change your approach to this season? Or is it apples and Johnny Bananas?
[Laughs.] Get out of here. That's so funny. You're awesome. There's definitely going to be a lot more fire. And I think it's because there's a mix of old-era players. There's something with this new era, which I love the quickness of it. But then there's also this part that it's a little bit fake when it comes to relationships. If Jeff asks you a question at Tribal, you kind of go around his question and try to make him happy, but also make sure that you know you're giving a good enough answer, but also vague enough so that the people that you're voting off aren't there. And I think this time around, it should be more straightforward. If I don't like you, I don't like you. But maybe we could work it at on this vote together. Or we're just trying to take each other out, and it's okay.

Well, let's get into what brought you back out here. After your win, did you have a desire to play again? What made you decide to come back and hopefully win again?
So obviously, I got the experience that everyone wanted in that season. I jampacked everything that you could have had from a Survivor experience. Helicopter ride, a bunch of rewards; there's so much that I did. And I met my people already, which I'm grateful for. So I always said, "If I get called, then great. But even if I don't, I'm so grateful to have experienced Survivor."

But I think being out here, I'm a lot more pumped. I'm not scared. I don't care about cameras, I don't care about not eating. I don't care about not showering, not brushing our teeth. All of that is natural to me. Not in the real world; I do brush my teeth. [Laughs.] But I don't know, there's this freedom being here. There's so much freedom. And also just knowing that it's gonna be harder, because everyone here is a minimum two-time player. So it's gonna be interesting to play.

So what's your perspective going into this as a winner? Do you feel like you're playing with house money since you're already a champ? Or do you want to join Sandra, Tony and Parvati as a two-time winner?
I am joining Sandra and Tony and Parvati. Because I think everyone thinks, "Oh, she's gonna get cut first. Everyone's gonna go for her." Don't get me wrong, people are gonna come for me just because of the fact that I'm a winner. And if they were smart, they'd cut me out first. But that's not gonna happen.

It's because I'm so good at building connections and making people like me and making you feel like you're the most important person on this island. And I think people don't know that about me. I think they see me and they're kind of intimidated. Or they think, "Oh, she's the most dominant winner. We got to get her out." And I think there are going to be people that might have some sort of jealous emotions in there just because I did something that they hadn't done, and they want to do, and they don't want to let me have that second chance. But I think by the time they realize that, it's too late.

How much do you plan on steering into that "dominant winner" perception? On the one hand, an easy reason to target you. On the other hand, it could be a good reason to use you as a shield.
I agree. That's exactly what I what. I don't know another way of playing Survivor where it's not dominant or at the top. But I think coming in here, I'm ready to play from the bottom, I'm ready to play from the middle, I'm ready to play from the swing vote. And I think having me is a perfect shield. If everyone wants to take me out, why not take me out later? That's obvious.

After your win, you also got to be the alumni co-host of "On Fire" for a season. Do you feel that has given you a different perspective on the game?
It definitely has changed the way I view the game. And it obviously comes from Jeff. I feel as if there's a lot of fans who have something to say about Jeff all the time, like, "Oh, he's controlling. He's too woke." And don't get me wrong, there's times where he is. But Jeff loves this game so much, and I experienced it firsthand when I would hop onto podcasts every single week. This man loves Survivor. This is his baby. What's more love than a child? I don't even know. I don't have a child, so I haven't experienced that. Survivor is his baby, and you can tell how much passion he has for the game.

And it was really interesting to see the game from a producer standpoint. Because we're out here playing, and we don't know another world. But Jeff sees Survivor, and [to him], we're all his kids. And the way that he looks at us, even at Tribal, he just sits back and is just observing. He's observant and he's a student of the game, and he's okay with learning things. I remember I would tell him, "Dude, I think you're wrong. I think you should think of this perspective." And he's always open to listening and truly trying to understand my perspective. Because at the end of the day, yeah, Jeff could be Jeff. But Jeff has never played Survivor. Jeff doesn't know what it's like to be a player, so I think he knows that, and he's always open to learn. And Survivor is a game that has evolved so much and is going to continue to evolve. It's exciting.

Well, let's get into the other people in the playpen of "Jeff's baby" right now. We're gonna play a game called "Friend or Foe." I'm going to give you a name of someone on the cast, and you have to tell me if they're someone you want to work with, or someone you see as an enemy or threat. Starting with Jenna.
Jenna, Friend. I get good vibes from her. I just like the way she walks. She walks with such happiness and such curiosity. And obviously, she was on Season 1, and to be here for Season 50 is huge. And I'm sure she feels it and knows it. I'm excited to get to know her.

Colby.
Foe. He's in his own world. I don't know. He sits in the back all the time, which is a very awful move. Don't get me wrong, if you're an alpha, you're an alpha. But you're about to play Survivor with some people that will not let you control. And he took the stairs instead of the escalator at the airport. [Laughs.] And Emily looked back at me and she laughed. And I was like, "I can't laugh too much, because people are gonna know that I love Emily!"

[Laughs.] That's a great callback. How about Stephenie?
[Pause.] I want to say Friend. But I think Foe. The pause was because when she saw me, she was all excited. And I'm like, "Oh, I hope she's not a fan of my game." You know what I mean? Because sometimes these old schoolers, you get one or the other. You get the ones that have not watched Survivor for a long time, because of their lives or whatever; now they have kids. And Stephenie just gave me the vibe that she's still a fan. And maybe she wants to come back, or she wants to prove something. I don't know. It's just the vibe I get. It might change when I'm on the island, but for now, Foe. Sorry, Stephenie! [Laughs.]

Cirie.
Friend for sure. She's so good. She's so good. She's Cirie for a reason! Because even though we haven't said a word to each other, I really love her. And also we've been on ice, which means we can't speak, but we do have music players that don't have WiFi. And I heard some R&B coming from her! [Laughs.] Famous old throwbacks. I'm like, "Oh, she's fun! She's cool." She's cool people.

Ozzy.
Friend. Seems chill. I want him to be a friend, because he's so good at challenges, so I need him in front of me so they can take him out later. But maybe a friend to me might be a friend to all too, because he seems like a very likable person.

Coach.
Friend. You know what? I can see a world where he's a Foe. I met Coach one time in Ben from 46's apartment.

Right, because he played music with him.
Yeah, Ben played with Ben. And Coach and I are on Ben's album. There's screaming lines, and Coach is playing his trumpet. But I could see a world where we couldn't become enemies just because he seems easy to make fun of. [Laughs.] And I'm out here to have fun! So I hope his feelings don't get hurt too easily.

How about Aubry?
Foe. She doesn't look anyone in the eyes at all. Not just me, anyone. And she kind of just walks like this all the time. [Looks down.] Which is cool if that's what you're trying to portray right now. But I think we're all here to play, and it's a very "take it or leave it" season. If you like me, you like me. If you don't, you don't. I mean, these are the personalities that are on this island. Everyone's gonna be themselves fully. And I think Aubry is — again, this is my perception. I think she's already trying to play a game that, once we're on the island, that game is destroyed. It doesn't matter when we're on the island.

Chrissy.
I want to say Friend. But I'm gonna go with Foe because she seems cutthroat. Like too cutthroat. I think I want to play with people where I want your mind to be in a battlefield when you think about voting me out. I think Chrissy is not like that. I don't know, just the vibe I get. I think because she was so close to winning her season, she's coming back guns blazing. And I love that for her, as she should. But not if we're aligned! [Laughs.]

Angelina.
Angelina, Friend. She seems cool. I feel like we'd be friends outside of the game.

Christian.
Christian, Friend. I don't know, that's a little tricky. Because he's so intelligent and good at everything I'm not, and I think I'm good at everything he's not. So I think that might be like an unexpected duo. But who knows? I think he's he might be a little too strategic in the sense that he might be trying to play too hard too soon, and I don't like that. But I like him as a person, so Friend for sure.

Mike.
Friend for sure. He's here for the vibes. Obviously, he doesn't need the money. Hopefully we're on the same tribe, because I want to play this game with people that are having fun. And if Mike White gets voted off first, you think he's gonna care? No, he's gonna go back and live his life and be grateful that he had a role on 50. And that's kind of like the way that I want to take it too.

What about Rick?
Foe. I don't know, he's just smirking too much. He's looking at everyone in the eyes way too much. And I don't know, I've never spoken a word to Rick. He was the first "On Fire" podcast co-host; I was the second. This guy did not reach out to me once. Well, maybe he said congrats. But he wasn't like, "Hey, you're gonna have a blast. If you need any advice, hit me up." So holding that grudge. Kidding! [Laughs.]

Dee Valladares on 'Survivor 50'

Robert Voets/CBS

Well, let's get into your fellow new era players. Starting with Jonathan.
Friend. He's definitely someone I need, because he is the strongest man in here, and everyone knows that. So I think people are going to want to take him out come merge, and I need those muscular men in front of me. And we also saw what just happened with 48, where it's the strong men. I need the strong men in this game to shield me, and that way we can just go at them at the merge. But he's a friend, because he also plays a loyal game. And I know the fans [go], [In a mocking tone.] "Loyal game." But when you're out here, you have to be vulnerable, and you have to trust people. And I think he's someone that I can trust.

Let's talk about Emily. Because 45 is a — said lovingly — freakingly close cast. But last time you were out here, you put the wheels in motion to have Julie singlehandedly idol her out of the game. So what are your thoughts on her now that you're both back?
Well, I love Emily. We're friends in the real world. We just saw each other in January. She came to Miami, and we went to Epcot together with the cast. But with her, it's tricky. First of all, yes, I took her out on 45. But we weren't friends back then. We're friends now, which, for me, it's gonna make it harder. Because when I love someone, I'm blinded. There's no world in my head where they can lie to me, because I wouldn't do it to them in the real world. But we're not in the real world. We're playing Survivor

And also, we were very similar in the sense that we won't hold grudges. When I voted her off, even though we weren't friends, she looked at me, she goes, "Dee, I was coming for you." And I said, "Thank you for understanding." But then, on the other hand, she voted for me to win. She could have very much been the vote that tied me and Austin, and it wasn't as she voted for me to win. And she did it so proudly, and I love that, and I feel like a part of me owes her.

So I think if we're on the same starting tribe, I'm gonna take care of her as much as I could. I don't see a world where we are, though. So hopefully once the merge comes, we can align and just give each other information. But I'm still playing for myself and I'm still playing for my family. So it's me above anyone on this island. Oh my God, I just already know that it's a battle when it comes to Emily, because it's gonna be hard with her. Hopefully someone else takes her out before me. [Laughs.] Please do my dirty work! Because she will be an ally in the jury. [Laughs.] Then again, she knows that I'll be an ally for her in the jury. So that's tricky.

Getting into 46, we have the "On Fire" cohost who succeeded you in Charlie. What do you think about him?
I like Charlie, so Friend. But I think Charlie only knows how to play middle. He's very easy to talk to, but that's the problem. He's so easy to talk to that you think that he's playing with you. But really, he's playing all sides, and before you know it, Charlie's at the end. And some will say that a hot take is that Charlie should have won. So I think Charlie being so close to the end, I think there's a fire inside him that can very well get him to the end, because people are not going to view him as a threat. He's so easygoing, people are not going to view him as a threat. Even for myself, I'm okay with sitting next to Charlie. Friend, though, for now.

How about Q?
I'm gonna say Friend, surprisingly. Only because when I watched this season, I watched him, and I thought to myself, "Damn, I'd hate to play with this man because he's so chaotic." But I need chaotic players ahead of me. I need a Q in front of me, because I have a feeling everyone's gonna want him out. You never know where he's gonna be. I'll say Friend.

Tiffany.
I want to say Friend. But there's a pause there, because I don't know where her head's at. I've only met her one time briefly. And I think because her season came after mine, I'm a little afraid that she might have better connections with 47 and 48 than I do. Because after I played, I would go to events and stuff. But then I kind of just left, just because I have my family, I have my friends. I kind of wanted to get out of the world, not because I was thinking I would come back. Just to live my life! But I'm afraid that she might have better friendships in the new era than myself.

Genevieve.
I want to say Friend, but I'm gonna go with Foe. Only because, on her season — and again, I'm coming in this saying "on their season." Which kind of sucks, because I don't want to come in having a perception, but that's all I have. But she had a hard time letting people in. And those are players that I don't want to play with because they're too gamebotty for me. I want to play with people who are not afraid to show their emotions and who are not afraid to let me in. And vice versa, I want to let you in so that when it comes time to cut me, you know that you're cutting not just myself, you're cutting everything you know about me, and you know that it's gonna hurt me. And I feel like with Genevieve, that might be a battle.

Joe.
Friend, for sure. It's interesting because he played a very loyal game. He had Eva, he had Kyle. He was unwilling to vote them out, which I can understand, because that's the same thing that happened in my season. But Friend, because I don't think that he's a super strategic player. But here's the thing, though, he just watched himself back two to three weeks ago. So, in watching yourself back and having such little time to decompress, I think he might come back in here with something to prove to himself and to the world. Like, "I didn't, I didn't do well, I didn't win my season, and maybe I wasn't as strategic as everyone was saying. So let me do something to prove to the world that I could be that strategic player, [that] I could cut my number one allies." But hopefully not. Let's see, because I'm hoping to align with him.

Kamilla.
Love her! There's a softness about her without saying a word. So I can see why her and Kyle are so close. And I'll be honest, I didn't watch the finale before [coming out here]. I watched bits and pieces. I mean, I'm not gonna tell anybody I didn't watch it. But I loved when she was in the jury and she told Kyle. You guys don't understand how emotional and gut wrenching it is to be in the Final Threee. You made these relationships with some people on the jury, but you truly have no idea where their votes are gonna go. And for her to tell Kyle, "I got you," oh man, what a girl. I love her, and I didn't even know her

So let's talk about Kyle. He's a fellow winner. Does that make him an automatic friend, or someone you could easily throw under the bus?
Automatic Friend for sure. Because no one understands a win until you do it and until you go through it. We got the outcome that everyone wanted. There's no feeling of jealousy between Kyle and I. It's just like, "Dude, I'm pumped! I'm glad you won."

Right, because there has been some talk after his season about whether you or him are the best new era winner.
I don't care. It could be Kyle. Good for you. I mean, I think it's me. [Laughs.] But there's never anything in me where, if people are saying Kyle's the best new winner, good. That means he played a phenomenal game, and he came out here and he played hard. But I'm excited to align with him, not just because I like him and automatically we vibe, but because there's another winner ahead of me. So when it's time to cut winners, you can cut Kyle, not me. Please! [Laughs.]

Any thoughts about the 49 players?
I don't like them. Well, I don't like them because I don't know them. So I'm trying to say whatever I want. I didn't watch your season! So I think they have an advantage where they can come out here and play either the same game or a better game. And also, they have barely disconnected from this game world. They just left Fiji maybe two to three weeks ago, and now they're coming back to play 50. I don't know; that's a little scary.

First of all, they're still in that game mode. They haven't come back and understood what it feels like for their castmates to be heartbroken. They haven't gone through those emotions. And also, it's just myself and Kyle. That's two winners. If there's three tribes, there has to be a third winner. And I don't know who it is, but there has to be a third winner. I'm interested to see if they lie or not. That'll be fun. But I also think they're easy to throw under the bus, which is an advantage. But also, that might be an advantage for them. If everyone wants to throw them under the bus, "Hey, throw me under the bus later!" So I could see a world also where they become swing votes easily.

Which previous player do you wish were out here on the island with you right now?
I gotta go with Julie girl before leaving. I'm obviously so excited to play 50. But there's some sort of grief in coming back to the island and not playing with your people and with the same cast. There's a little bit of the stages of grief. And I went through it, and I thought to myself, "Damn, I'm never gonna get 45 again twice with the same people." And that's because I know them for who they are now, not just as "This is Julie from Survivor, this is Kendra from Survivor." I know them as people. I know what they do for a living. I know their family members. So I wish Julie was here, just because I love her so much.

Finally, what celebrity or fictional character would you bring out for a Loved Ones visit? Last time we did this, you said Dwayne Johnson. Do you have another one in mind?
I said Dwayne Johnson last time. This time, I want Bad Bunny. I want Bad Bunny because he's a fellow Latino. I don't know how much he's worth, but he's just a good time. You could tell in his interviews he kind of gives the same vibes as me. He doesn't need the money, but he's here for the vibes. And I want to play with fun people.

A Taylor Swift Song's Lyrics Were the Most Viewed Globally

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:46pm

Taylor Swift is known for her songwriting, but which lyrics are the most shared? Spotify users can view lyrics as they play a song and share them. People who speak different languages can also translate lyrics. There is one song that topped the chart was from her album, The Life of a Showgirl.

"The Fate of Ophelia" was released in October of 2025. Fans, unsurprisingly, were looking at the lyrics of the dance pop song the most, according to Billboard. Ophelia is the wife of the titular character, "Hamlet," who doesn't survive. "The eldest daughter of a nobleman / Ophelia lived in fantasy / But love was a cold bed full of scorpions / The venom stole her sanity," Swift sings.

She sees herself as being saved by someone from suffering the same fate. "Late one night, you dug me out of my grave and saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia," she sings. The superstar claimed she would've drowned in melancholy as she pledged her loyalty to herself. Perhaps determined to stay single after heartbreak. The album's cover is a picture of her head barely above water in a bathtub. That's also the final image in the song's music video.

Many fans looked closely at her lyrics to find references to her current relationship with Travis Kelce. They got engaged and announced it in August 2025. Swift revealed she worked with producer songwriter Max Martin, who wrote for Britney Spears. "I was very lucky to get to work with him on my new album, The Life of a Showgirl," she said onThe Late Show With Stephen Colbert. She admired how Martin reinvented himself throughout the years of his long career.

"The Fate of Ophelia" spent 10 weeks at number one on the Hot 100 chart. The following track on the 12th studio album is also a pop culture reference with "Elizabeth Taylor." She sings about Hollywood hating her and not being able to enjoy the life of luxury without someone. This story sounds like the perfect lead-up to the most-viewed song.

Rock Icon Jon Bon Jovi Gets a Surprise Role in the Super Bowl

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:39pm

Rock music star Jon Bon Jovi is embracing his status as a longtime fan of the New England Patriots in a surprising new role in this year's exciting Super Bowl game on Feb. 8.

The "You Give Love a Bad Name" singer will introduce the football team at the big game opposite the Seattle Seahawks, with the opposing team to be introduced by actor Chris Pratt, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

The introduction will likely happen as the teams exit the tunnels at the start of the game, as this is what Bradley Cooper and Jon Hamm did for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs last year.

Bon Jovi's support for the Patriots stems from his friendship with former NFL coaches Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells, which started when they were with the New York Giants in the 1980s. Despite being from New Jersey, Bon Jovi has supported the Patriots for decades now, and he is sure to be an exciting addition to the high-profile game this weekend.

As for Pratt, he has been a lifelong fan of the Seahawks after spending most of his youth growing up in Seattle.

Bon Jovi Detailed His Connection With the Patriots in Interviews

While Bon Jovi has talked about his love of football, and the Patriots in particular, many times, in an interview on The Rich Eisen Show late last year, he boldly declared, "Wherever Parcells and Belichick went, I went."

"So when they went up to New England, I went up," Bon Jovi continued. "Then I befriended Mr. [Robert] Kraft [owner of the Patriots], and, you know, from the mid-'90s when they lost that first Super Bowl—well, second Super Bowl—to Green Bay, and so my relations are deep there."

Bon Jovi is likely hyped up about the upcoming game between the Patriots and Seahawks, ready to be on the sidelines supporting his team as they try to win the Super Bowl this year.

Exciting News, ‘Fallout’ Fans: Season 3 Is Right Around the Corner

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:27pm

Greetings vault dwellers, wastelanders, Nukapedians, and everyone in between. We bring forth great news.

Fallout season three is right around the corner. Here’s what we know so far.

Warning: Spoilers lie ahead.

Season two of the Amazon's video-game adaptation finaled last night. Tying up some loose ends and completely fraying others, “The Strip” saw friends and family reunite, bombs drop, and a post-credits stinger setting the stage for a “chaotic” and fiery encore.

So, yes, we are indeed getting another season, and based on the Easter eggs tucked into the finale’s post-credits scene, it’s going to be a gonzo-good time.

Without giving too much away, one of the finale's through lines follows Walton Goggins' The Ghoul/Cooper Howard on a quest to find his wife and daughter. Thankfully, he gets a clue to their whereabouts in the form of a postcard.

"Colorado was a good idea," the card reads, referencing a line Cooper once said to his family. So, looks like we're headed to the Centennial State.

Further clues for season three lie in the finale's post-credits stinger.

“The Brotherhood of Steel figurehead owns the post-credits scene,” The Hollywood Reporter shared yesterday, “heralding the arrival of ‘Liberty Prime,’ which promises fire and brimstone on a level that only fans of the Fallout games can truly anticipate.”

Per Todd Howard, the director and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studios and head of the Fallout series, that translates to “giant robots.”

Reacting to the Liberty Prime reveal in an interview with THR, he said, “It was always a matter of how and when, not if. We’re so excited the show’s going to tackle that one.”

So, there’s that, but also new information regarding the series’ production indicates we won’t have to wait too long to see what happens next. According to Forbes, preproduction is already well underway, with filming set to begin May 1. Three months from now.

Historically, the series’ postproduction has clocked in around six to eights months, so by the transfer property, carrying the one, and accounting for possible delays, all signs point to an estimated 18-month gap between seasons two and three.

Translation: Fallout season three could premiere in June 2027. Hold please while we mark the calendar.

View this post on Instagram

The reason this is so remarkable lies entirely in the fact that Fallout is a massive world-building series. Akin to Rings of Power, God of War, and every Games of Thrones spin-off, series of this scale and magnitude take mucho time to create.

That said, more and more television series are attempting a steady annual cadence, premiering new seasons during the same month each year. Take The Pitt, for instance. This year’s awards circuit darling kicked off its first season in January 2025, season two in January 2026, and is expected to jump-start season 3 in January 2027

Applying the strict release schedule to Fallout would be quite the undertaking -- and way more difficult than battling Deathclaws in tight spaces. So, 18 months is pretty impressive. We'll take it. Plus, June 2027 will be here before we know it.

In the photos obtained by Page Six, Savannah's older sister wore sunglasses and a pink sweatshirt with the hood up, using the front of the sweatshirt to partially cover her mouth. Meanwhile, Tommaso also attempted to conceal himself from photographers by pulling up his gray sweatshirt and wearing sunglasses.

The outing marked Annie and Tommaso's first public sighting since Nancy's disappearance. Meanwhile, neither Savannah nor their brother, Charles Camron Guthrie, has been photographed since the 84-year-old was abducted.

On Feb. 1, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (CSPD) launched a search for Nancy, describing her as a “vulnerable adult.” She was seen on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31, at her home. On Feb. 2, the PCSD declared her Tucson residence a crime scene. They revealed later that day that Nancy was “taken” from her residence “against her will,” in the middle of the night.

By Feb. 3, law enforcement sources reported that blood and signs of forced entry were both discovered at Nancy’s home. DNA testing from the crime scene could still take several more days. Meanwhile, multiple news outlets reported receiving ransom notes, although they have not been substantiated by law enforcement, as of writing.

A prayer vigil for Nancy is set for Feb. 4. Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

'Pluribus' Season 2 Update Comes With a Warning From Its Creator: It 'Ain’t Gonna Be The Pitt'

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:21pm

Apple TV's Pluribus became a smash hit with Golden Globe-winning actor Rhea Seehorn as its star, and executive producer and creator Vince Gilligan at the helm. While Gilligan previously reported that Pluribus Season 2 won't be anytime soon, he gives fans an update on its creation and a warning.

During Apple TV's inaugural press day at Santa Monica's Barker Hangar on Tuesday, the creator revealed what everyone has been wondering and said they are "plugging away" at the second season. He did add that fans can still expect a reasonably long wait, seeing as he wants everything to be done right.

"My writers are plugging away. All the folks, if you like the show, thank you for getting us here on this stage. It takes a long time to come up with these episodes. We are deeper into the process at this moment than I would like, considering how few episodes we have figured out. But it takes some time, just as it did the first season," he said according to The Hollywood Reporter.

TheBetter Call Saul creator also warned that the creation of new seasons of the show is nothing like the turnaround for the acclaimed medical drama The Pitt. The Emmy-winning series by R. Scott Gemmill has already released two seasons since its premiere in January 2025.

"We appreciate everybody's patience," he said. "But it ain't gonna be The Pitt, coming back every year. I wish it would be because it's an awesome show that's old-school, like we used to do The X-Files [when] we'd come back the same month every year. It will not be like The Pitt," explained Gilligan.

Gilligan explains to fans that while the turnaround of a new installment isn't what many were hoping for, he assures that "We'll come back the same month — just the question is what year."

Pluribus debuted in November 2025, and based on the creator's latest comments, fans can likely expect a similar release window, though the wait could stretch two to three years, or possibly longer.

Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’ Makes Major Comeback Ahead of Band’s Super Bowl Show

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:18pm

Punk rock band Green Day's biggest hit is climbing the charts again more then 20 years after it first hit the airwaves! Just days before Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool are set to take the stage while opening Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, CA, their iconic song "American Idiot" reappeared on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 194.

Related: Everything to Know About the 2026 Super Bowl LX: Date, Time and How to Watch

The politically charged song was first released in 2004, on the album of the same name. It was the fifth major studio album for the California punk band, and while they found major success beginning with their first mainstream label record Dookie, the reaction to American Idiot was like nothing they'd experienced before.

The album spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart (with a whopping 123 weeks on the chart in general) and stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for three weeks (gracing the list for 146 weeks total). The album even inspired a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that premiered in 2009.

On Jan. 18, it was announced that the band would perform at the opening ceremony of Super Bowl 60, before the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks go head-to-head and Bad Bunny takes on the Halftime Show.

"We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard!" lead singer Armstrong told Associated Press. "We are honored to welcome the MVPs who've shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let's have fun! Let's get loud!"

Related: Hailee Steinfeld Teases Her ‘Fun Secret Project’ Tied to the Super Bowl — and Why She’s ‘So Excited’ (Exclusive)

Simultaneously, the song's sharp increase in plays may be due, in part, to recent political protests surrounding ICE and President Donald Trump, both of which the band has spoken out passionately against. When their performance at the Super Bowl was announced, many fans took it as a political stance from the NFL and expected the band to make a statement with their performance.

"Yesss!!! Anti-Trump agenda FTW!" said one follower, referencing the times Green Day has switched out their "American Idiot" lyric "I'm not a part of a redneck agenda" for "I'm not a part of a MAGA agenda." Another fan wrote, "NFL GOING ANTI-MAGA ON FEB 8 AND I LOVE IT," while a third added, "As a life long fan (literally) plz be on your WORST behavior!!!!"

Related: Martha Stewart Issues Rare Political Statement After Stern Text From 14-Year-Old Granddaughter

Others hoped politics would be left out of the sporting event, with one saying, "if Green Day decides to make this a political thing, shame on them and shame on anyone for doing that for that matter," with another adding, "Y’all are acting so stupid. This is FOOTBALL NOT politics!"

Super Bowl LX will air on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. Green Day's performance is expected to start at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

Nancy Guthrie is still missing after authorities say that she was kidnapped from her home in Arizona over the weekend. The whereabouts of Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mother are unknown and authorities are working around the clock to locate her and to bring her home safely.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, TMZ claimed to have received an email that was formatted like a ransom note. Whomever sent the email reportedly asked for millions of dollars in Bitcoin. Harvey Levin said that the email was sent over to investigators working the case.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that the FBI shared a ransom note with Savannah, though it's unclear if it's the same note that was sent to TMZ.

"It's like any piece of evidence," Nanos told CBS News. "You give it to us, you give us a lead, we're going to look at every aspect of that lead." Nanos confirmed that the department had received more than one ransom note and that the FBI was taking them seriously.

YouTuber Denies He's 'Anti-Pink Floyd' After Making Infamous Parody of 'The Wall'

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:10pm

Nearly seven years ago, the Internet was on fire with people hating The Wall.

Not Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera, but the video review that Doug Walker, aka The Nostalgia Critic, put out about the 1982 cinematic adaptation, Pink Floyd—The Wall. In both the video (starring Slipknot's Corey Taylor and his sonGriffin) and the companion album, Walker skewered the Wall, calling it an "arthouse ego trip" with parody song titles like "Comfortably Dumb" and "Waiting for the Point."

The backlash was immediate. A cottage industry of video essays blasting Nostalgia Critic's The Wall popped up (there's a whole YouTube playlist of them here). Perhaps the most vocal critic was Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop. Fantano not only dubbed the Nostalgia Critic's The Wall album "Not Good," his version of zero score, but he also named it his Worst Album of 2019.

So, it's fitting that Fantano spoke with the musical mind behind Nostalgia Critic's The Wall: Rob Scallion.

Related: Legendary '70s Rock Band's Iconic Concert Cost Way More Than You Think

"I love The Wall. I love it," said Scallion in the interview that Fantano uploaded to his personal YouTube channel last week.

Rob's best known as a music YouTuber with over 2.6 million subscribers. He gained popularity from playing covers of metal songs on non-traditional metal instruments (like banjos and shovels). He is also the musician who recreated the music of Pink Floyd's The Wall for the Nostalgia Critic review.

Scallon said that his role in Nostalgia Critic's "The Wall" doesn't mean he's a massive Pink Floyd hater—quite the opposite.

"I grew up with The Wall," he said. "I was one of those kids who, when I was 12, would watch The Wall with my friends and be like, what does it all mean? And it was just like this mythical album."

View the original article to see embedded media.

Scallon, who's married to Nostalgia Critic alum Tamara Chambers, first worked with Doug Walker in 2014 to make the song "F**king Love Christmas." In exchange for the song, Walker gave all the iTunes and streaming royalties to Scallon, which amounted to $1,400 in the first month (which came at a time when he really needed the money).

So, Rob was game when Doug approached him about doing a project on The Wall.

"I think he was expecting me to just like, strum a guitar for the whole thing. But I was more into doing the full songs and learning the full songs," he explained. Scallon deconstructed Pink Floyd's The Wall and did his best to faithfully recreate it, though his focus was more on getting the music right than on what Doug was saying in the lyrics.

"I didn't—and this is probably ignorance on my side—but I was like, 'Oh, this is just like a silly thing,'" he said on making the parody album. "I'm not actually going out and doing, 'I'm anti The Wall. I'm anti Pink Floyd.' Like, 'I want to get in a fight with Roger Waters!' or something. I never interpreted it that way, which is maybe an ignorance on my side."

"And that's something I've learned too, is when you go aboard someone else's project, you kind of inherit the culture around it," he added. "And it seems like you're co-signing on it, when, for me, it was just kind of a gig."

Why were so many people mad at the Nostalgia Critic? As Fantano brought up in the interview, Walker's take on The Wall seemed to ignore the album's context. Roger Waters wrote the rock opera about former member Syd Barrett's deteriorating mental condition and his own childhood, along with his growing feelings of isolation and alienation.

And for many, Pink Floyd is held in religious reverence for bringing high art to classic rock, so Walker's seemingly thoughtless mockery (his parody of "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2" is called "We Need More Victimization") rubbed people the wrong way.

The intense backlash to this project felt like "a punch to the gut," said Scallon. "Once it came out, there was this [realization]. 'Oh, I've never been on this side of the Internet before. I've never had something kind of blow up or have videos of millions of views talking about how terrible [my work] is. And it was concerning. Is this now something I hear about all the time for the rest of my life?"

"I remember seeing Doug at a wedding, like, a month after," he said. "And he was like, 'Hey man. I'm sorry. Can I get you a drink?' He and the Nostalgia Critic crew are just so used to that type of thing. It was just new to me to have such intense criticism on something I've done."

Nearly a decade later, all parties have seemingly moved on. Walker continues to make videos as The Nostalgia Critic, and people keep watching (his Jan. 28 review of The Sandlot has over 116k views). He also detailed his response to the criticism in a 2021 interview with Double Toasted, explaining that he "tried to be experimental" by pairing his experience of watching Pink Floyd: The Wall as a child with his "cynical" viewpoint as an older man.

Fantano remains "the Internet's busiest music nerd" through The Needle Drop and his Twitch streams.

Scallon continues to pursue music on YouTube and beyond (in 2024, he released Crowded Rooms, an album that marries Midwest Emo and metal).

And there are still content creators who make video responses to Nostalgia Critic's " The Wall, discovering it the same way that Doug Walker rediscovers a piece of '80s and '90s pop culture.

"It's been out six years and somehow, people are still making videos about it, and people are still streaming it," remarked Scallon. However, he's not too mad about it, especially since he gets the streaming royalties. "In 2025, the streaming revenue for that was $1,400. Now that it's essentially been paying my phone bill for six years, I feel differently about it."

Aldi's Decorative but Functional Storage Solution Is a Chic Upgrade for Any Home

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 12:05pm

Unless you're an expert at minimalism (I salute you for that), you probably have at least one area of your home that's subject to clutter. For me, it's a number of areas—all in varying states of chaos just waiting to be organized.

Most of the time, clutter consists of odds and ends that require a bin or compartment. But then there are the things that could benefit from being folded and hung up in some way, shape or form. After all, doesn't everyone have that one chair that no one can ever sit on because it's become a receptacle for throw blankets, clothes that need folding or handbags? It can't just be my house...

Sohl 20" x 1.17" x 72" Bamboo Ladder in White, $19.99 at Aldi

Aldi

Aldi's Sohl Bamboo Ladder is just the kind of decorative object that can also be used as a way to get stuff up off the floor (or that cluttered chair) to make it look like you have your life together.

The ladder stands 72 inches tall and is just 20 inches wide, making it ideal for small spaces that benefit from vertical storage. In a living room or family room, it's ideal for hanging throw blankets. In your bedroom, you can use it to hang sweaters, purses, or any other items you want to keep at the ready.

And here's the thing, this ladder could also work really well in a bathroom if you want to hang fresh towels from it. Add an S-hook to the top rung, and you can even hang a robe or two. Have a basket with attached hangers? Hook it to another rung and stock it with some toiletries.

Storage and organization have come a long way over the past decade. Right now, Costco is selling a set of stackable bins that look like they could be placed in a five-star hotel. Aldi also sells a kitchen cabinet organizer that can take your pots and pans from a bad game of Tetris to a streamlined setup in a pinch. Neither of these options is going to break the bank, either. An organized home should be affordable and within reach for everything. You just need to know where to look.

Pop Music Star Announces Fifth Studio Album After First-Ever Residency Performance

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:55am

Zayn Malik has surprised his fans all over the world with the announcement of his fifth studio album KONNAKOL.

Since the release of his 2024 album Room Under the Stairs, the former One Directioner took to social media and announced his new project, set to release on April 17.

"It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album…" Malik wrote on Wednesday.

The new music announcement comes just after the 33-year-old singer completed his first Las Vegas residency, in which he performed on seven different nights at Dolby Live. The residency — which ran from Jan. 21 to Jan. 31 — is where Malik debuted several new unreleased songs, including "Die For Me," which the singer also announced will be released this Friday.

Fans can already pre-order the album through the singer's website, which also includes limited edition vinyl records and CDs for sale.

The comments underneath Malik's announcement post have been flooded with messages of support from excited fans who are greatly looking forward to what the artist has in store for them.

One fan wrote, "zayn, i am so excited for konnakol. april 17 can’t come soon enough. your art always feels like a piece of your soul and i just know this album is going to be something special. i’m so proud of you and so ready to hear every note."

"Album of the motherf--king year!" wrote another.

"THIS IS GOING TO BE SOOO SOO BIGGGG" said another excited fan.

Malik rose to fame in the early 2010s after competing on the reality television series The X Factor and joining the world-famous boy band One Direction alongside members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. After five years of music releases and tours with the band, Malik announced his departure from One Direction in 2015 to focus more on himself and to take a break from the spotlight. The singer began his solo career in 2016 with the hit-single "Pillowtalk," which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100. Since then, Malik has released four studio albums, with KONNAKOL expected to show off his artistry even further.

Anticipation and excitement for Malik's latest project is already at a high, and fans are greatly looking forward to the singer's newest era as an artist.

'Full House' Star Dave Coulier Shares a Major Health Update: 'I’m in Remission'

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:50am

According to the Moffitt Cancer Center, cancers of the tongue and surrounding throat area can be serious, with outcomes depending heavily on how early they’re caught and how the body responds to treatment. That’s what makes Dave Coulier’s latest health update especially meaningful — after facing two separate cancer diagnoses about a year apart, the 66-year-old Full House star says he’s now in remission.

On Wednesday, February 4 — World Cancer Day — Coulier appeared on Good Morning America to share the news himself. “It’s been a roller coaster ride for sure,” the comedian said during the interview. “I’m in remission with both cancers.”

Coulier went on to explain that his most recent scans showed no active signs of cancer, calling the moment emotional and surreal after months of treatment and recovery. He also credited routine follow-up care for catching his second diagnosis early, something doctors told him made a major difference in his outcome.

The update comes after a long and very public health journey. Coulier first revealed to People in November 2024 that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer that affects the lymphatic system.

At the time, he said he discovered something was wrong after dealing with persistent swelling in his lymph nodes following an illness. He shared the diagnosis publicly after informing his Full House castmates, explaining that he wanted them to hear it directly from him. “I didn't want them to hear it from someone else, so I sent a text message out,” he explained to the outlet.

After undergoing treatment, Coulier later shared encouraging news in spring 2025 that his lymphoma was responding well. But during a routine PET scan in October 2025, doctors noticed an abnormal area near his throat. According to People, that scan ultimately led to a second diagnosis — a p16-positive squamous cell carcinoma at the base of his tongue.

During a December 2025 interview with Today, Coulier explained that doctors told him the tongue cancer was completely unrelated to his lymphoma. He underwent surgery followed by 35 rounds of radiation, finishing treatment just before the end of the year.

Throughout it all, he’s leaned on support from family, including his wife, Melissa Bring, as well as friends and former co-stars such as John Stamos.

“John flew into Michigan, came and visited us, and made me laugh,” he said on GMA. “He's my brother. He wore a bald cap and when he came around the corner dressed like that, I dropped to the floor laughing. And he got COVID while he was staying with us, so we were like two fifth graders sitting in the hallway, talking to each other with walkie talkies...we're very mature!"

Now, with both cancers in remission, Coulier says he’s focused on moving forward and appreciating the moment. “What a journey this has been,” he said — a simple line that captures just how far he’s come.

'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' to Receive Brand-New TV Series Adaptation

Wed, 02/04/2026 - 11:47am

Like most major horror franchises in the world today, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series seldom has a tendency to stay dead for very long.

Roughly four years after its most recent sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is once again returning from the dead in the form of a brand-new TV adaptation from producers Glen Powell, JT Mollner and indie studio powerhouse, A24.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new TV series is moving forward in production after a tense bidding war among multiple studios and distributers.

Mollner, best known for his work on the critically acclaimed Stephen King adaptation The Long Walk, will serve as the series' director, with Powell slated to serve as executive producer. As of yet, it's not currently clear whether the Twisters star will appear on-screen for the series in any capacity.

Interestingly, the new TV series will coincide with the release of another film continuation of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series at some point in the near future. Both projects will be overseen by executive producers are Roy Lee and Steven Schneider of Spooky Pictures, Stuart Manashil, Image Nation’s Ben Ross, Powell and Dan Cohen of Barnstorm, and Exurbia Films’ Kim Henkel.

“I’ve said publicly that I’m not interested in remaking perfect films, and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a perfect film,” Mollner said in a statement. "I have so much reverence for [director and co-writer] Tobe Hooper and Kim Henkel because they created something bold, transgressive, and truly seminal that holds up even today as the gold standard for horror."

"When the idea for a long form exploration into this world came to me, I saw it as a fresh way in, as well to honor and build on the existing folklore," Mollner continued. "It’s the only way I wanted to do it — and I can’t imagine better partners for this concept than A24. This is truly an honor.”

“The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of my favorite films. It defined a generation of horror films and over half a century after its release, it remains one of the definitive movies of my home state," Powell said of the new project.

"I’m honored to have Barnstorm help bring in a new chapter for such an iconic title and franchise," the Anyone but You star went on to say. "With a marquee home in A24 and visionary filmmaker with JT Mollner, alongside our top shelf producing partners, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better team for such a dream property.”
