Jane Seymour, 75, Reveals How She's Choosing to Age Naturally

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:43am

Jane Seymour is embracing her natural beauty at every age.

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star, 75, revealed her secret to aging naturally is "no lasers" and "no fillers" while talking to Page Six at the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Thursday, June 11.

"This is what happens," she told the publication at the time, clarifying that she isn't "trying to be 30 when [she ’s] 75" before quipping, "I mean, maybe 60 would be nice."

Seymour, who reunites with Dr. Quinn co-star Joe Lando on Acorn TV's Harry Wild, continued of her decision to age naturally, "I’ve been playing a lot of older women. And the truth is, for me personally, the kind of acting that I do is not about glamour, it’s more about serious emotion, and for real authentic emotion, you need every muscle to work."

With age comes more than just beauty, as Seymour revealed that she's the happiest she's ever been at age 75. "I’m on a show that I love, Harry Wild, my fifth season," she said. "Who has a series when they’re 75? Nobody. I’m starting a great movie in Australia later this year, I’ve got a one-woman art show in New Jersey, my family is great, I’m surrounded by music."

Seymour is also newly engaged to fiancé John Zambetti after three years of dating. Zambetti told PEOPLE earlier this month that his romantic proposal at the couple's Malibu home was a bit chaotic, as "the ring popped out of the box."

"Then I had to climb under the bed, and then I couldn't get out, and she had to get out of the bed and pull me out of the bed," he recalled, as Seymour added cheekily, "And we weren't wearing any clothes."

"Serious bedhead involved," she added. "But the funniest part was that he couldn't get up afterwards. His knee was now stuck from being under the bed, and I'm not strong enough to pull him up because he weighs almost twice what I do. We looked at one another and started laughing hysterically."

Blonde Goddess Heather Graham Is Soaking up the Sun and Having So Much Fun Filming ‘The White Lotus’

Heather Graham looks like she's having the time of her life in the south of France as she films the upcoming season of HBO's The White Lotus.

Graham, 56, who broke onto the scene in films like Drugstore Cowboy and License to Drive, later solidified her role as a Hollywood staple in hits like Boogie Nights and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. With her soft blonde hair and bright blue eyes, the gorgeous star has the acting creds to back up her stunning looks. And with a new gig starring on The White Lotus, it's incredibly exciting to see what she'll bring to season 4.

Helena Bonham Carter Dropped Out of The White Lotus

Carter, 59, an acclaimed actress known for diverse roles ranging from Fight Club to Ocean’s 8, abruptly departed the beloved HBO series nine days after production kicked off in France for Season 4. In a Variety report that covers the upcoming season, we learned that it was Carter’s creative differences with show creator Mike White that had her packing her bags and saying “au revoir.” More specifically, White’s demands that Carter provide a more “boisterous performance.”

The character Carter was set to play was a washed-out star in search of her big comeback, sources told Variety.

Upon Carter’s exit from the series, a representative from HBO told Page Six that “With filming just underway on season four of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set.”

“HBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened that they won’t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon,” the spokesperson added.

Laura Dern Checked Into The White Lotus

Just days after Carter’s departure from the show was announced, it was shared that Laura Dern would be checking into The White Lotus for season 4.

Dern, 59, a longtime friend and colleague of White, will play a new character being developed and written for her by White, Deadline reported. The duo has plenty of experience working together. They first teamed up for White’s 2007 film Year of the Dog, but their best-known project is the HBO series Enlightened, which ran from 2011 until 2013. The story “about a woman on the verge of a nervous breakthrough,” it introduced audiences to Amy Jellicoe, a former executive attempting to put her life back together.

The announcement of Dern’s casting on Instagram was received with celebratory praise from the public on social media.

Taco Bell Testing Out a New Chili Cheese Menu at Limited Locations – And Fans Say 'It Needs a Permanent Spot' Nationwide

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:20am

Taco Bell is always finding new ways to entice diners to nationwide locations, be it through a brand-new lineup of exciting menu items or a budget-friendly deal.

According to several new posts across social media, the iconic fast food giant is currently testing out what might very well be its most exciting menu expansion yet.

As per the posts, Taco Bell is working on a new chili cheese menu that brings the flavorful joys of cheese and chili to classic Taco Bell fare.

At the center of the experimental menu is the fan-favorite Chili Cheese Burrito, a highly sought-after burrito originally introduced in the '90s, but that recently made its return to Taco Bell for its limited-edition Y2K Menu.

In addition to the Chili Cheese Burrito, Taco Bell's new test menu also includes the Mini Chili Cheese Bowl and Chili Cheese Nachos. With the former, guests can tuck in to a mixture of seasoned rice, chili, sour cream, melted cheddar and pico de gallo, all encased in a crispy taco shell bowl; meanwhile, the Chili Cheese Nachos delivers a healthy supply of tortilla chips piled high with chili, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, cheddar and pico de gallo.

As per various posts on Instagram, the new menu items are available only in select locations in Kentucky and Alabama for the time being. However, as in the past, if they perform well at these restaurants, there's a decent chance the items might make their nationwide debut in the weeks ahead.

What's more, the new menu items are available for just $3, making it a fantastic bang for your buck for diners fortunate enough to be based in Alabama and Kentucky. And if the online reaction is any indication, fans will want to try these menu items sooner rather than later! As one fan so eloquently put it, "That Chili Cheese Burrito needs a permanent spot on [Taco Bell's] menu."

The List of the Best Summer Road Trips is Out & The Top Spot May Not Be Where You Think

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:19am

If you're getting ready to pack up the car and hit the road with the family, you may be surprised to hear what state is leading the pack as the best summer road trip destination. WalletHub has released its 2026 list, and Minnesota has taken the top spot. The North Star State is a favorite for people who love the great outdoors. It also has the fourth-most fairs and festivals per capita during the summer, so you’re unlikely to hear. “I’m bored.”

Minnesota ranked tops because it has safe roadways, recording the second-fewest vehicle fatalities per million miles traveled. Bridge quality is ranked high, while speeding is low.

Utah and Louisiana rounded out the top three on the list. WalletHub took factors like fun, scenery, and affordability to comprise its list.

Things to Do During Your Minnesota Road Trip

If the idea of a road trip to Minnesota has piqued your interest, you may want to consider camping, as it is one of the most affordable options in the country. Some favorite camping spots include:

  • Gooseberry Falls State Park: Located on the North Shore, it's known for some pretty amazing waterfalls. It’s also known as a great spot to explore Lake Superior. I
  • tasca State Park: Another favorite because it’s a great spot to visit the headwaters of the Mississippi River.
  • The Boundary Waters Canoe Area: Another favorite spot for outdoor enthusiasts, there is kayaking, canoeing, and some simply beautiful sites.

If you hit a rainy day during your road trip, you could always visit the Mall of America. With over 500 stores and an indoor theme park, it is the nation’s largest mall, offering endless things to see and do.

Depending on when you plan to visit, the Minnesota State Fair is a must-see. This year it’s slated for  August 27th-September 7th. It’s one of the largest fairs in the country, drawing visitors from around the country. If those dates don’t work for you, there are plenty of other summer festivals to check out.

Keep this in mind: Minnesota has one of the lowest 3-star hotel costs during mid-July, which is often a top travel time. So, you may want to plan your trip around that time.

What States Are the Worst Road Trip Destinations?

When it comes to curating the perfect summer road trip, the journey is just as important as the destination, so knowing where to go can be incredibly helpful too.

While Minnesota and Utah are the top spots for a summer road trip this year, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island are definitely not, ranking high in cost and low in the number of activities they offer compared to other states.

While we aren't saying you should visit these areas of the country, definitely avoid them on a road trip to make sure you're maximizing your time and money.

1988 English Rock Song by the ‘Best Dressed Rock Star’ Became an MTV Anthem

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:15am

Robert Palmer was an iconic singer who had several huge hits throughout his career, from “Addicted to Love” to “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor).” One of the most memorable songs that rose all the way to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned him his second Grammy was “Simply Irresistible.”

This 1988 song was accompanied by a popular music video directed by a British fashion photographer named Terence Donovan. Donovan also worked on Palmer's “Addicted to Love” video, which was considered “fashion’s favorite video” by The Guardian.

In addition to being a well-known singer and songwriter, Palmer was known for his unique fashion sense. He was named the “Best Dressed Rock Star" in Rolling Stone magazine's 1990 Readers' Poll, mainly due to his love of suits.

“I just always felt comfortable in a suit and tie,” the star said in a 1996 interview with theL.A. Daily News. "It's served me well, because I never got aligned with any fashion trend. I simply believed that if you're going to be in public, dress up."

Palmer wore an outfit from Giorgio Armani when he was on the July 1988 cover of GQ, which is widely considered the most influential men’s fashion magazine in the world. "He has a great personal style; he's definitely one of the most stylish guys in rock and roll," said Eliot Kaplan, the managing editor of GQ at the time. "I don't know what he wears to the beach, but the man is impeccable."

However, according to the Anchorage Daily News, Palmer didn’t agree that he was the best-dressed man in rock, saying, "Well, my hair's a mess at the moment. I'm the most conservatively dressed person you've ever seen. And they say I've got style? Forget about it. It's all a lot of nonsense." Then he referenced his iconic GQ cover and said, "Look at my face in the picture. That's how I felt about it. It was a silly gig, wasn't it?"

Palmer died in 2003 at the age of 54 after suffering a heart attack. Duran Duran issued a statement at the time that said, "He was a very dear friend and a great artist. This is a tragic loss to the British music industry."

Prayers Pouring in for Savannah Guthrie, Family After Her Latest Post

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:14am

Savannah Guthrie has been receiving an outpouring of support from fans since her mother's sudden disappearance back in February.

Over the past four months, social media users have commented on Guthrie's Instagram posts, sending prayers to her and her family as they navigate life with the unknown still looming.

Most recently, Guthrie shared a heartfelt Father’s Day message that quickly struck an emotional chord with fans.

View this post on Instagram

The comments section quickly filled with messages from fans, with many wishing Feldman a Happy Father’s Day and others offering prayers and support to the family—all of whom have had an emotional year following the disappearance of Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie, back in February.

"I pray for you and your family daily and pray for the authorities who are working hard. Please know that there are so many praying for you all," one person wrote.

"Happy Father’s Day. Your family is in my prayers also," someone else said.

On June 12, Guthrie shared a post from her interview with Emily Blunt on Today.

One Instagram user commented, "How is this poor woman able to get up in the morning and still function," adding a string of prayer hand emoji.

Days earlier, Guthrie had an emotional chat with her longtime friend and Today co-anchor, Jenna Bush Hager. Fans sent love and prayers to Guthrie on social media after that video clip was posted to her feed.

"You dont always have to keep it together. Holding it in all the time will damage your health. You having to keep moving too. You are more than keeping it together! Rely on your support system. We are all praying for you," one person said.

"We are all still praying they find your mom," another comment read.

As Savannah and her family navigate an incredibly difficult time, investigators continue working to find Nancy—and the person or people responsible for her disappearance. Authorities believe that Nancy was abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Although the FBI was able to obtain footage of a possible suspect on Nancy's front stoop the night she went missing, the individual has not yet been identified.

Anyone with information about Nancy is asked to call Tucson’s 88-Crime hotline at 1-520-882-7463 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Kyle Busch Remembered on Father's Day After His Death: 'Still Doesn't Feel Real'

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:12am

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was remembered by his wife and children on the first Father's Day since his tragic death last month at age 41.

Following the athlete's death on May 21 from pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, Samantha Busch took to Instagram to share a collection of moments featuring her late husband with their two children—son Brexton, 11, and daughter Lennix, 4.

"This still doesn't feel real at all," Samantha, 40, wrote on Instagram on Sunday, June 21. "I was up all night thinking about what today should have looked like for Kyle and the kids. The Father's Day cards that were already made, sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. Trying to figure out how to navigate a day that should be filled with so much joy for them."

Samantha remembered her husband as "the dad who never missed a chance to be silly," race his kids around their neighborhood, "wrap them in his arms," and stay up "a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more moment."

"Nothing made him prouder than being Brexton and Lennix’s dad," wrote Samantha, who married the NASCAR star in 2010.

"Watching these memories hurts more than I can explain, but they also remind me how lucky we were to have him," she continued. "Kyle, the kids and I miss you every second of every day. Our hearts ache for you, but it's more than that. Your absence is something we physically feel. Our bodies hurt from missing you, from reaching for someone who isn't there, from loving someone we can't hold anymore."

Samantha promised to "keep telling" her husband's stories, sharing his laughs and "making sure Brexton and Lennix always know just how deeply they were loved by their dad."

"Happy Father’s Day," she concluded. "We love you and miss you more than words can say."

Why Disney Insiders Are Already Buzzing About This Upcoming Adults-Only Lounge

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:10am

Over the last few years, Walt Disney World has done an incredible job creating signature, highly tailored experiences that give grown-ups a sophisticated reason to linger in the parks after dark. While they have absolutely knocked it out of the park with family-forward campaigns like this season's "Cool Kids' Summer," Imagineers have quietly been putting serious energy into elevated, adult-driven nightlife.

We've seen it in the premier drink lineups at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, the swashbuckling atmosphere of venues like Cask & Cannon, and the massive fan buzz surrounding high-concept spaces like the Haunted Mansion Parlor and the hidden Hook's Barbery speakeasy aboard the Disney Cruise Line fleet. This fall, Disney is turning its attention right back to the resorts, dropping a brand-new lounge concept that is already poised to steal the nighttime spotlight.

The Disney Parks Blog officially revealed that Hurly-Burly, a new waterfront entertainment lounge, is slated to open along the BoardWalk promenade starting in late 2026.

What makes the project so interesting to longtime fans is exactly where it is located. Disney's BoardWalk is already one of the most overlooked and underappreciated areas at Walt Disney World, sitting right between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. By adding a major new venue here, Disney is giving guests a brilliant reason to spend an entire evening exploring the shores of Crescent Lake instead of immediately rushing back to their hotel rooms at park close.

During the day, families can stop in for lighthearted activities like trivia, games and interactive entertainment hosted by a charismatic live performer. But at night, the space completely transforms into a dedicated, 21-and-over adults-only lounge, featuring live music, classic coastal-inspired cocktails and a completely different, glamorous atmosphere.

The lounge's gorgeous, nostalgic aesthetic is what really has theme park fans talking. In a recent video post, Instagram creator SimplyParkMagic shared a look at why this venue is already tracking to be one of Disney’s most unique additions, noting how deeply the team is leaning into the historical fiction of the promenade.

Related: 15 Free Things You Can Do at Walt Disney World Without Entering the Parks

"It's designed to feel like it's a historic seaside theater that's been part of the boardwalk's story for generations," the creator shared. Crucially, the creator emphasized that because the neighborhood flies somewhat under the radar compared to mega-hubs like Disney Springs, this might officially become "one of Disney's most underrated nighttime experiences."

That rich storytelling ties directly into a broader, multi-year evolution of the entire BoardWalk district, which originally drew its creative inspiration from iconic coastal stretches like Atlantic City and Coney Island. Alongside Hurly-Burly, Disney also confirmed that a brand-new Basin retail location is heading to the promenade, packed with interactive elements like a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a personalized soap embossing press. Disney even teased that a highly anticipated, new quick-service restaurant concept will be officially revealed later this summer to give guests even more reasons to book a stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn.

With this new addition to the resort lineup, adults will have even more options outside the parks for upscale cocktails, great live music and prime entertainment. At this beautifully themed waterfront escape, Disney is giving adults the perfect excuse to slow down, pull up a chair by the water, and watch the evening come alive with a vintage touch of pixie dust.

Eggo’s New Release Is a First for Its Frozen Waffle Line

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:01am

Eggo is "leveling up" its lineup of frozen waffles with a new, healthier option.

Not even one year after the company unveiled protein-packed frozen waffles and pancakes, Eggo is introducing the all-new Eggo Zero for a more macro-friendly (yet nostalgic) breakfast.

"As the leader in the frozen breakfast category, Eggo has always been focused on evolving alongside our fans and bringing new ideas to the breakfast table," growth and marketing lead at Eggo, Cara Tragseiler, explained in a June 22 statement, suggesting today's consumers are "looking for more from their breakfast."

"They want options that fit their lifestyles without giving up the foods they grew up loving," Tragseiler said, adding that with Eggo Zero, the brand is bringing together the "things consumers tell us matter most: great taste, protein and less sugar."

Eggo Zero: The Brand's First Waffle With No Added Sugar

The new Eggo Zero delivers zero grams of added sugar and the nostalgic taste and texture of Eggo waffles, according to Monday's press release. This way, fans don't have to compromise that "iconic, golden-crispy bite that has inspired generations to say 'L'Eggo my Eggo!'"

Related: Eggo’s ‘Fun’ New Release Has Fans Celebrating–and It’s Not a Waffle

The "new era" of Eggo is made with zero artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners (using monk fruit extract and stevia extract instead), per an official description. It will be available in two flavors: Buttermilk and Blueberry.

  • Buttermilk Zero Waffles: Offers the classic, comforting flavor of traditional buttermilk, complete with Eggo's signature crispy-outside, fluffy-inside texture.
  • Blueberry Zero Waffles: Made with real blueberries, this option brings a sweet, fruity burst to any morning routine.

The new Blueberry flavor includes 11 grams of complete protein (with all nine essential amino acids) per serving, while Buttermilk offers 12 grams per serving. A serving, which is considered two waffles, includes about 160 calories, 310 milligrams of sodium, 1.5 grams of fat, and just 1 gram of sugar.

"It's so good, it makes zero sense!" the brand teased.

From Regency to Modern Day: Read a Sneak Peek of Liana De la Rosa’s Brand-New Contemporary Romance (Exclusive)

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:00am

What would you do if you found yourself falling for your best friend’s boyfriend? That’s the topic of discussion in Liana De la Rosa’s contemporary romance debut, Mutual Discord.

You know De la Rosa for her historical romance. She is the brilliant mastermind behind the Luna Sisters series, as well as the Once Upon a Scandal series. While capturing the heart of the time period, she has made us swoon, wishing for the type of romance to reach us.

Well, she’s stepping out of the Regency time period with Mutual Discord, out on August 18, 2026. It’s time to bring a more modern-day love story, and it’s exceptionally modern-day, as the lead female character is a social media influencer. And this is going to be a summer must-read!

It’s a tale as old as time: a man takes credit for Sofia’s work, and when she speaks up, she’s the one who is fired. How is that possible? Well, it’s a man’s world, and Sofia doesn’t want to just exist in it.

What’s her way to fight back? She creates a video series that she hopes will change the minds of everyone around her. She’s not the first woman to be discredited for her own idea, and so, she looks at all the women in history, especially in STEM, who have long been overlooked. It’s time to tell their stories, and she gains a following.

Wait, where does the romance come in? Well, she’s started chatting with one of her followers, A, who happens to be the very hot boyfriend of her best friend. Sofia is a girl’s girl, though. She isn’t about to ruin her relationship with her best friend just for the hope of a life with a guy she doesn’t really know.

When that guy, Alex, clearly has secrets of his own, she starts to rethink everything. Maybe, just maybe, Alex is interested in her. But why hasn’t he said anything about already knowing her from her video series?

Courtesy of Berkley

We have an exclusive excerpt of Mutual Discord to share, and it gives us a humorous insight into Sofia’s personality. Referring to the fast lane of the highway as the place to be if you have “ticket money,” and immediately playing a very particular Ludicrous song gives us at the way she prefers to live her life.

At the same time, it puts Sofia and Alex in a car together. There’s a clear attraction between them, but there are also some underlying questions that haven’t been asked on either side, and this is just where it all starts getting juicy!

I had two weeks to get my head on straight so the next time I saw my best friend, it wasn’t obvious how frequently I thought of her boyfriend.

The weeks passed in a blur of filming, editing, and responding to comments. Alex and I exchanged messages sporadically because with the Scorpions in the playoffs, his schedule had been insane. As it was, attending homecoming was only possible for him because the team had a bye week.

While my communications with Alex had tapered, Denise and I managed to grab lunch and met at the gym to work out together a handful of times. I also invited her to join us for the homecoming festivities, but she was on deadline for a project at work and would be in the office all weekend. I was disappointed not to have her company, a fact reiterated now as I sat beside Alex in my Volvo as we made our way down Interstate 10 in Friday afternoon gridlock. A pleasing hint of Alex’s cologne filled my lungs with every inhalation, and I wasn’t mad about it.

“Thank you for driving,” he said, extending an open tray of Red Vines in my direction. “Caitlin mentioned that you don’t really like to drive, so I appreciate it.”

Snagging a piece of licorice, I snapped a bite before using it to gesture at the traffic around us. “Driving is not something we’re meant to enjoy. It’s a means to an end and nothing more.”

“A very practical way of looking at it.”

Something in his tone had me glance at Alex askance, and I found him staring out the windshield with a quirk to his mouth. The amused expression sparked my defensiveness.

“If everyone on the road operated their vehicles with even an ounce of common sense and respect for their fellow drivers, maybe driving wouldn’t be such a frustrating activity.” I thrust my chin toward the minivan in the lane in front of me. “Take this Odyssey, for example. They’re driving in the fast lane but they’re not going fast.”

“They’re going five miles over the speed limit,” Alex pointed out.

My scoff reverberated my throat. “As I said, they’re not going fast. The fast lane is for drivers with ticket money. If you don’t have ticket money, move over.”

And with a few taps on the dashboard screen, “Move Bitch” by Ludacris pounded through my speakers, the music only barely covering Alex’s snicker.

He turned in his seat to watch as I sang the lyrics to the song, the smallest smile playing on his lips as I zipped in and out of traffic, finally turning on the cruise control when we were several miles south of the Phoenix area. The dusty desert interstate stretched out in front of us, and I finally felt I could settle in for the drive.

“You are an intimidating woman, Sofia Mendoza,” Alex murmured. There was admiration in his voice that made my chest light.

“You are not the first person to tell me that,” I said dryly, darting my gaze to him for a moment.

He shook his head. “I’m sure I’m not. But I hope that when it’s been said to you, it was said as a compliment.”

A muffled snort was my best answer.

“Let me guess.” Alex leaned back, propping his elbow on the windowsill. “Someone you used to work with at your old job told you that you needed to be more approachable”—he made air quotes—“if you wanted to be successful in the corporate world.”

“You know marketing bros well.” My lip curled as I remembered the bullshit bro culture that flourished at Desert Media 360. The happy hours and barbecues were nothing but an excuse for the guys in the office to drink and socialize under the guise of “team building.” For the first time since I had been laid off, I was thankful I didn’t have to worry about that toxic environment anymore.

“That I do,” he murmured, glancing out the window. “Every head office has a different culture, and sometimes I’ve enjoyed it and sometimes I’ve done my part to make it better. Thankfully, the Scorpions have fostered a positive environment and the staff is pretty diverse. I feel lucky to be a part of it.”

That was . . . nice. “You’re lucky. I keep running headlong into dude bros determined to reduce me and my experience to my sex. Even a few of the guys I met on dating apps wanted to take a cheap shot at my career.”

“Did they really?” Alex swung his head to look at me. “Do you date frequently?”

I lifted a shoulder. “No, not really. I went on a few dates here and there after I broke up with my ex just to feel something, but I quickly learned that meeting men on those apps was just asking for a headache.”

Alex was quiet for a moment and then he asked, softly, “How long has it been since your breakup?”

My mouth suddenly felt dry, and I swallowed. “Four years.”

From the corner of my eyes I saw him nod. I braced myself for more questions, but they didn’t come. After a few minutes, I exhaled a relieved breath.

I abruptly realized that maybe I should ask him about Caitlin. About how their relationship was going. How they managed to make it work with her in New York and him in Arizona . . . but I couldn’t bring myself to shape the words. It was the reason why I hadn’t asked Caitlin the same questions. With any of her other boyfriends, I wanted to ensure he was treating her well. That her partner made her happy, because my friend deserved happiness. But the thought of knowing any more about Caitlin and Alex’s relationship felt like splinters under my fingernails.

So instead of voicing those polite questions, I switched the music to a Bad Bunny album and held my silence.

But maybe Alex was thinking of Caitlin, too, because he asked, “So how did you and Caitlin meet? She said you two were roommates or something.”

“We were roommates.” My mood instantly brightened as I reflected on those early days of my friendship with Caitlin. “Our freshman year. My parents live close to campus, but they wanted me to have the full university experience, so I lived in the dorms my first two years. On move-in day, there I was, trying to shove my clothes in the narrow box they called a closet, when the door opened and this stunning, stylish blonde walked in. I remember being instantly nervous because she looked so perfect. I thought there could be no way she could actually be nice.”

Alex frowned. “Why did you think that?”

“Because I had met girls like her before. Or so I thought.” I glanced in the rearview mirror and flipped on my turn signal, easing into the fast lane to avoid a slower car. “There was a group of girls in high school who were pretty, in that conventional way you see in movies or on TV. And because they were pretty, they were popular, and they used their popularity to act like bitches to others.”

“If being pretty made someone popular, surely you were prom queen or something.”

A flutter started low in my gut, and I whipped my head to meet Alex’s gaze. He was staring back at me as if what he said hadn’t just sent my stupid heart careening into the atmosphere like a bottle rocket. It seemed ridiculous for me to be so goddamn elated that Alex thought I was attractive, but as I had learned time and time again in the months since I’d met him, Alex Castillo knew exactly how to leave me breathless.

But there was no way in hell I was going to let him know it.

“Even if I was as pretty as those girls, I was a Latina with a mass of curly black hair and more curves than I knew what to do with. Those girls never let me forget I was different from them.” And thank God I was. I was proud to be Puerto Rican and loved my heritage, but teenage Sofia, like most teenagers I’d wager, had just wanted to fit in.

“So you thought Caitlin would be like one of those high school girls?” Alex asked.

I nodded. “I did. But she took one look at me, rushed over, and threw her arms around me in a giant hug. I still remember what she said. ‘We’re going to have so much fun together.’ And we did, and still do.”

“Aside from that first night we met”—Alex huffed a breath—“well, met in person, I haven’t seen you and Caitlin together.”

“Well, you’ll have a chance to see us in action this weekend. We’ll be at our old stomping grounds, and I’m looking forward to our trip down memory lane.”

'House of the Dragon' Stars Break Down That Disturbing Premiere Kiss: 'I Threw Up in My Mouth a Little Bit' (Exclusive)

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 8:00am

Well, that was awkward.

While incest stories are nothing new in the Game of Thrones universe, the kiss between Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and her son Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) in the House of the Dragon Season 3 premiere feels like something different altogether.

And, in exclusive interviews with Parade, Olivia Cooke and Ewan Mitchell opened up about filming the disturbing scene, what the kiss means for their characters and why Alicent may be too afraid to reject her son. Mitchell, for one, had a visceral reaction when he watched the finished episode.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

“I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit when I watched it for the first time the other day,” he says. “It was just so horrible and creepy in the way that he slowly leans in to do it.”

The actor notes the suspense comes from giving the audience just enough time to understand what Aemond is about to do while still hoping he will stop himself.

“There’s a moment where you’re like, ‘No, he’s not going to do it. Is he going to do it?’” Mitchell says. “And then he does, and then you’re like, ‘Oh.’”

But his mother does not react in the way he might have hoped, though it's more in line with what the audience might expect.

“He’s definitely feeling that kiss a little bit more than his mother is in that moment,” Mitchell says.

According to Mitchell, the kiss comes from Aemond’s deeply distorted understanding of affection. The prince has spent much of the series seeking power and revenge, but his connection to Alicent has always remained central to his character.

“I feel like Aemond has always had three primary motivations throughout the show,” Mitchell explains. “He needs to win the war, he needs to behead Daemon Targaryen, and he wants his mum, ultimately. He wants to win the war for his mum.”

Aemond imagines Alicent as the one person who will remain beside him once the Dance of the Dragons is over.

“If there’s going to be anyone who’s there at the end of the war, after it’s all died down and finished, it’s going to be his mom,” Mitchell says.

However, Aemond’s childhood has left him unable to express that attachment in a healthy way.

“Growing up, he felt like he wasn’t shown enough love,” Mitchell says. “He has a very skewed perception of love and how to show it because he felt like he never had enough of it growing up.”

The kiss, therefore, becomes both a display of affection and an assertion of power.

“That moment is his way of showing affection in a really strange way, while also asserting his place on Team Green as being the daddy of the family,” Mitchell says.

Cooke initially tried to sum up the scene in three words.

“It was hot,” she initially jokes. "No, it was weird,” she goes on to say. “I think both Ewan and I felt a bit like, ‘Oh God.’”

Although Cooke and Mitchell are close in age, she has spent years approaching their scenes through the perspective of a mother concerned about her increasingly dangerous son.

“Even though we’re practically the same age, I have been imbuing my relationship with him with nurture and care, and with caution as well, because he’s a very unpredictable person,” Cooke says.

That established dynamic made the kiss feel like a devastating shift for Alicent.

“For this relationship to take that left turn is something that is, at once, just devastating,” Cooke says. “I think, for a parent, I couldn’t really draw upon anything in my own personal life, so I just had to imagine.”

Alicent also cannot simply reject her son. By this stage in the story, Aemond controls Vhagar, commands enormous political power and has repeatedly demonstrated his capacity for violence.

“It’s dangerous as well,” Cooke says. “Because if he perceives any rejection, it’ll be the death of Alicent.”

That threat transforms an already disturbing kiss into something even darker. For Aemond, it may be an expression of love, possession and authority all at once. For Alicent, it is another reminder that the son she once tried to protect has become someone she must now survive.

Outer Banks fans, get ready: the teen drama series is about to come to an end.

Starring as Sarah Cameron, Madelyn Cline’s character has gone on quite a journey since fans were first introduced to her in 2020. As the actress prepares for season 5’s Netflix premiere on August 20, she spoke in an exclusive interview with Parade about what fans can expect from the final episodes.

“We’re on another big journey, and it is, I think, a wonderful, fun, exciting series finale,” Cline said. “I hope people enjoy it. It’s just as every season has been: it’s wild, and I just hope that people are enjoying how we’ve landed the plane. I hope it’s something they’re happy with, so they can continue to go and rewatch.”

Cline told Parade that around the same time she closed out her role on Outer Banks, she was preparing to step into a new project: Missy in The Comeback King.

From movement to vocal preparations, Cline said she did “anything and everything training to capture [Missy] in the best way possible.”

The Comeback King is set to release in theaters on February 5, 2027, and stars Glen Powell as Aubrey King alongside Cline. The comedy film follows a country star who has to navigate a declining career, and Cline said it was “genuinely the most fun” she’s ever had filming.

“Glen is incredible in this movie,” she said. “The way that he captured Aubrey and seeing him do it was such a wonderful learning experience for me. And I also had so much fun.”

Cline said that she had the opportunity to “learn from the best of the best” while filming.

“It was awesome,” she said. “That was a dream.”

As fans get ready for both the premiere of Outer Banks season 5 and 2027’s The Comeback King, Cline is celebrating a new partnership with Sanpellegrino’s CIAO! Limoncello Club.

“I’ve obviously been a long-time lover of the brand,” she said. “It’s a staple in my mini fridge in my house. It’s a perfect drink to sip on with friends.”

The beverage company will be hosting a pop-up event from June 24-25 at Pier 17 in New York City, and Cline said she’s looking forward to traveling for it.

“That’ll be really fun,” she said. “It’s so cute, and it will be open to the public, and I hope everyone enjoys it.”

Alan Greenspan, Influential Former Fed Chair, Passes Away at 100 from Parkinson's

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 7:56am

Former Fed chair and economist Alan Greenspan died at the age of 100 on Monday.

Greenspan’s wife of 29 years, NBC News Washington correspondent and chief foreign affairs correspondent, Andrea Mitchell, shared in a statement to NBC, “Alan passed away at our home this morning at the age of 100 from complications of Parkinson’s disease.”

Mitchell continued, “He was a giant of a man who helped shape the U.S. economy for decades under presidents of both parties, but was always honest in acknowledging his mistakes.”

She added, on a more personal note, “To me he was my husband, who shaped my life from our very first date in 1984. He had ‘irrational exuberance’ for baseball, the Washington Commanders, tennis, golf, and music, especially jazz. He will be remembered for his brilliance and his kindness. Being his life partner was the joy of my life.”

Who was Alan Greenspan?

The economist and iconic chairman of the Federal Reserve was born in Washington Heights, New York, on March 6, 1926. Greenspan attended New York University, receiving bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in economics. He also studied economics at Columbia University under Arthur Burns

He began a storied career in economics in 1948 with the National Industrial Conference Board, analyzing the demand for steel, copper, and aluminum. He later served as the chairman and president of the economic consulting firm, Townsend-Greenspan & Co., Inc., from 1954 to 1974 and again from 1977 to 1987. From 1974 to 1977, Greenspan served under President Gerald Ford as chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.

Prior to taking on the role of Fed chair, Greenspan was also chairman of the National Commission on Social Security Reform (1981 to 1983), a member of President Ronald Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board, and a consultant to the Congressional Budget Office.

Appointed by Reagan in 1987, Greenspan served as chairman of the Federal Reserve through four presidencies (Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush) over almost two decades.  In 2005, then-President George W. Bush awarded the Fed chair the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Greenspan’s tenure in this position ended on January 31, 2006. In his later years, Greenspan started his own consulting firm and authored several books, including ‘The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World’ in 2007 and ‘Capitalism in America: A History’ in 2018.

'Legally Blonde' Reunion Brings Reese Witherspoon to Tears

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 7:48am

Reese Witherspoon couldn't hold back her tears during an emotional reunion with her Legally Blonde co-stars.

Witherspoon reunited with Jennifer Coolidge, Selma Blair, Ali Larter, Matthew Davis and Victor Garber on Saturday, June 20, for a New York City fan event marking the 2001 film's 25th anniversary and celebrating Prime Video's upcoming prequel series Elle.

It wasn't long before reflecting on the impact of Legally Blonde had Witherspoon in tears.

"When I walked in and I saw this moment, it just felt like it was galvanizing how I felt about playing this character—I’m gonna cry," Witherspoon, 50, told the crowd through tears, as per Entertainment Weekly. "Playing this character for 25 years has been the privilege of my life."

"People come up to me, and they tell me stories about how they go to law school because of her, or they named their daughter Elle, or they overcame some incredible challenge in their life because she did that," the Oscar-winning actress continued. "She went through this experience of feeling like everybody was looking down on her or judged her, and I don’t know a person on Earth who hasn’t felt like an underdog in some situation."

Turning to the cast, Witherspoon told her former co-stars, "Watching this happen is extremely emotional for me, and I’m really just so touched that you’re all here."

In Elle, which premieres on Prime Video on July 1, actress Lexi Minetree will take on the role of Elle Woods for the first time as viewers follow the future lawyer through the tricky landscape of her Seattle high school in 1995.

The Incredible $100 Saucepan That Changed My Mind About Stainless Steel Cookware

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 7:45am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

I’ve never been a fan of stainless steel cookware. That’s because it took just one bad experience to completely ruin it for me. Years ago, I bought a stainless steel skillet from a fancy brand because it was on sale. I had only used non-stick pans up until then, so naturally I was concerned that this one might stick and be difficult to care for. But the deal was too good to pass up, so I took the plunge. Long story short, every time I used my new stainless-steel skillet, food stuck to it and was nearly impossible to remove, so I eventually retired the pan.

I swore I’d never touch stainless steel cookware again until I got the opportunity to test Quince’s 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan. I’m already a huge fan of the brand—which makes low-priced, high-quality home and kitchen goods including cookware, bath towels and my favorite down-alternative pillow—but I wasn’t convinced that the saucepan would help me get over my fear of stainless steel. I was wrong.

Quince’s 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan performed just as well—if not better—than the non-stick saucepan that’s my current go-to. Every dish I’ve prepared in the Quince pan is perfectly cooked, and I’ve had no problem removing any stuck-on bits with just a quick soak and hand wash. Read on to find out why this $100 find is one of the best budget saucepans you can buy.

What Is the Quince 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan?

Mark Marino

Quince’s durable 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan is made with five layers of stainless steel and aluminum that provide even heat distribution. It has a satiny exterior, a non-toxic surface, and a curved ergonomic handle that provides a comfortable grip and stays cool to the touch while cooking. The saucepan’s lid fits securely on top and features a tall, wide handle for easy lifting.

Compatible with induction stovetops and oven safe up to 500º F, the 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan comes in two-quart and three-quart sizes. I tested the three-quart pan, which is more versatile because it can perform a multitude of kitchen tasks and recipes can be scaled up or down. Much like a Dutch oven, it’s a kitchen workhorse that can make soups, stews and sauces; boil pastas and grains; poach eggs and chicken; steam fish and vegetables; braise pork and beef and deep-fry potatoes and mozzarella sticks.

The saucepan can go in the dishwasher for effortless cleaning, but Quince recommends hand washing with warm, soapy water and a sponge to preserve the quality of the stainless steel. A nylon brush should be used on tougher residue.

My Honest Review of the Quince 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan

Mark Marino

When I unboxed the Quince 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan, I was immediately impressed by its heft and appearance. It was sturdy, sleek, well-crafted and could easily pass for a piece of cookware from one of the more expensive brands. Quince’s saucepan may come with a budget price tag, but it doesn’t skimp on quality.

Though I’ve long been leery of cooking with stainless steel, this saucepan wowed me. For starters, it heats quickly and evenly, with no hot spots. So far, I’ve used the saucepan to boil potatoes, steam vegetables, prepare oatmeal, make saucy pastas and whip up fluffy rice, and it’s delivered superior results every time.

Quince’s 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan has a slightly heavy bottom that doesn’t feel weighed down when it’s full, and its cool ergonomic handle lets me smoothly transfer it from the stovetop to the table. I also appreciate that it does an excellent job of retaining heat so that food stays warm inside the pan after I’m done cooking.

But what I really love most about the saucepan is that I’ve experienced very little sticking on the interior. Oatmeal tends to leave a filmy residue on the pan’s surface and a dry, light crust along its sides, but they swiftly wash away with a sponge and warm, soapy water—not a speck remaining.

After more than a month of testing, Quince’s incredible 5-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan is showing no scratches or signs of wear. The surface has developed a slight rainbow tint, but that’s normal when stainless steel is exposed to high heat. The pan is now my go-to for everyday meal prep, and it’s made me embrace stainless steel as the gold standard for cooking. In fact, it’s even got me thinking about investing in an entire set.

Beloved Country Music Star Sends Unexpected Public Message to Ex-Wife

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 7:43am

Divorced—but on good terms?

Keith Urban took some time out of his day to wish his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, a happy birthday.

"Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!," he wrote on his Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 20.

Urban and Kidman ended their 19-year marriage in 2025, and they finalized their divorce in January 2026. The two haven't said much about the decision to end their relationship, and neither have shared the details surrounding their split. However, recent interactions suggest the former couple may be navigating their post-divorce relationship on good terms.

Kidman did not publicly respond to Urban’s birthday message, but she took to her Instagram Stories on June 21 to wish him a Happy Father's Day. Kidman and Urban are parents of two daughters—Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

"Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers," Kidman wrote, sharing two black-and-white images—one of her late father, Dr. Antony Kidman, and one of Urban with their girls.

Urban and Kidman first met in 2005 and married the following year. Over the course of their nearly two-decade marriage, they often spoke about their love for one another and their family life.

Despite their divorce, both Urban and Kidman have continued to express support for their family. Urban has previously spoken about how much fatherhood means to him, while Kidman has often highlighted the importance of her daughters and family.

"I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman told Variety earlier this year. "What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."

Kidman and Urban’s recent social media exchanges suggest that the former couple may be finding a positive path forward after their split.

Supergroup Announces First-Ever Album

Mon, 06/22/2026 - 7:30am

AVRAK, a supergroup formed by Darkthrone vocalist Nocturno Culto, is creating major buzz as it gears up for something big this year.

The creative duo, composed of Anders Hegna of NØD, El Kayenne and Svidd Grevling alongside Culto, whose real name is Ted Skjellum, has hinted at releasing its first album.

During the vocalist's guest appearance on Dev Gohil's YouTube show, Skjellum shared what prompted him to create the band.

According to him, AVRAK, formed in 2025, was born out of his long-standing friendship with Hegna and their desire to collaborate.

"Actually, I've known this guy [Anders] for — I don't know — 12 years or something," he told Gohil as translated by Blabbermouth. "And I knew he was in other bands. And we talked about maybe we should do something once and try it out and see what it becomes."

Regarding their musical direction, he revealed that they have recorded their debut album, which will likely feature an unpredictable mix of rock and metal influences.

"On the album that we recorded in February, [Anders] has the kind of, let's say, a bit of a more rock guitar sound thing, and I have the more metal guitar sound thing, and they kind of blend together," he shared, adding, "The music is very... I mean, we play two different things almost all the time on this album, and it sounds really chaotic, but this is the hard part for us to be working with. To get this right, it takes a lot of time, and also our arrangements and small details."

View this post on Instagram

As for the album release, the metal veteran revealed launching it sometime this autumn.

The upcoming album is a major milestone for them as it represents the hard work they have "put into the project."

Prior to the release, AVRAK had its debut live performance in Porsgrunn, Norway, last April and was joined by the Kråbøl brothers: Terje Kråbøl on drums and Stian Kråbøl on bass.

"So, the goal for AVRAK is to play more live. I mean, we have a great band together," Skjellum added while discussing their plans aside from the album release.

With major plans ahead for the supergroup, Skjellum is still active with Darkthrone and the band released its latest studio album,Pre-Historic Metal, in May under Peaceville Records.
