Monty Python Members Eric Idle and John Cleese Lash Out at One Another on Social Media: 'A One Way Feud is Better Known as Bullying'

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 12:11pm

Eric Idle and John Cleese might be two of the most important comedians to ever exit the United Kingdom, forever changing the state of international comedy with their work in the surrealist troupe, Monty Python.

Though best known for their work on such iconic shows and movies as Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the two former friends maintain a complicated relationship, notably spatting over the monetary gains of Idle’s successful Broadway musical, Spamalot.

Directly based on the Pythons’ breakout work on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot follows King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table as they search for the mythic Holy Grail, encountering rival knights, enigmatic wizards and memorably insulting French soldiers along the way.

While largely based off of Holy Grail, Spamalot was notably created by Idle and Grammy-winning musician John Du Prez, with the former providing the lyrics and book based off the 1975 comedy film.

In more recent years, Far Out Magazine has reported that the financial earnings of the show, which have been largely reaped by Idle, have strained his decades-long friendship with his fellow Python members, including Cleese.

Idle stood firm on the fact that he took a greater chunk of the royalties for Spamalot, the musical based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, than the rest of the group, a matter which has caused significant controversy.

“I think I have more business sense. I think they’re not very good at it, a lot of them,” Idle remarked in 2024, before revealing “they all got angry about Spamalot. You go, ‘Excuse me, I made you all a million f**king dollars each… when you’ve paid that back, we can talk.’”

With the recent publication of his memoir, Idle in Provence: A Brief History of Thyme, Idle posted on X about the book’s release, writing, “I hope you like and enjoy the book I spent five years on. That’s what I’m doing. Python is dead.”

In response, Cleese took to his own social media account to write, “Bearing mind that Eric has made at least 16 million dollars from the show, while Michael, Terry, Graham and I made just over a million each for writing ALL the iconic comedy scenes, maybe the gratitude should be coming in the other direction.”

While fans chimed in asking Idle to clarify his standing and any personal animosity he might share with Cleese, Idle flatly commented, “No – it’s unseemly and upsets the fans. Plus a one way feud is better known as bullying.”

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 12:05pm

After recent speculation and detective work by fans across the globe, Oasis has at last confirmed what we’ve all been waiting to hear: new shows in the new year.

On Monday, September 14, the Grammy-nominated rock band took to social media to announce the continuation of its wildly successful reunion tour that launched last year.

And yes, stops in the United States are included.

“‘START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!! After a period of reflection ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people. Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold,'” reads the caption of Oasis’ recent X post, which also includes a link to where fans can register for tickets to the U.S., U.K., mailand Europe and Ireland shows.

But you only have until September 17 to register, according to the post — which has already been “liked” at least, 6,700 times. See below.

The ’90s-era rock group also posted the news in an Instagram post, whose comments section has already been flooded by fans’ wishes for Oasis to make stops in other parts of the world (Brazil is a popular one).

There were also plenty of fans who expressed excitement for next year’s shows. “TAKE ME THERE, TAKE ME THERE, TAKE ME THERE, TAKE ME THEREEEEEEEEE,” commented one Instagram user, while another person wrote, “LETS GOOOOOO ❤️.”

Oasis Was Dropping Hints Before Monday

The British band had been dropping a series of cryptic video teasers on Instagram, sending fans into overdrive as they try to decipher what the clues could mean for Oasis’ next chapter. And on Saturday, September 12, the group added its biggest message yet: Sept. 14, 2026.

A spectacular drone display over Manchester first formed the Oasis logo before transforming into the date “14.09.26” and the time “4PM BST.” The band shared their own footage of the display, soundtracked pointedly by “Lyla” and “The Shock of the Lightning.” Find out more here.

Elvis Presley’s Favorite Hometown Meal Is Still Served More Than 70 Years Later at ‘Memphis’ Oldest Restaurant’

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 12:02pm

If you thought peanut butter and jelly was the only way to go, Elvis says, “Hold my beer.”

The King, better known for his swingin’ hips, crooked smile, and soulful voice, was a simple man at heart, opting for an easy-to-make sandwich over indulgent cuisine.

Of course, you can still visit his home, as Graceland has been a popular tourist attraction for more than four decades since his tragic death at the age of 42, but Elvis fans may not know they can eat just like him, too, by venturing into town to dine at “Memphis’ oldest restaurant,” founded in 1919.

The Arcade Restaurant may sound like an old-school Pac-Man hangout, but it’s actually a century-old downtown eatery that’s remained a community staple for generations—including for The King himself.

Elvis frequented The Arcade often, albeit incognito, typically settling into the same back booth where he could watch the restaurant action through a mirrored wall and slip out a nearby side door if fans spotted him back in the ’50s.

MEMPHIS, TN – AUGUST 16: Arcade restaurant waitress Julia Flowers holds a peanut butter and banana sandwich, Elvis Presley’s favorite snack, on the 25th anniversary of Presley’s death during Elvis Week August 16, 2002 in Memphis, Tennessee. Up to 75,000 fans are expected to attend the celebration of all things Elvis which marks Presley’s August 16, 1977 death.

Elvis’ love for peanut butter and banana sandwiches has become nearly as legendary as the man himself.

The simple Southern delight was Presley’s favorite, typically combining creamy peanut butter with sliced or mashed banana between pieces of bread before being crisped up to golden perfection.

Today, The Arcade pays homage to its famous former regular with its own Fried Peanut Butter N’ Banana Sandwich, made with thick-cut Texas toast slathered in peanut butter, layered with sliced banana, and griddled in butter until golden brown.

Diners can even add bacon for a salty twist, though whether Elvis himself preferred bacon on his famous sandwich has been debated by those who knew him.

For The Arcade’s Fried Peanut Butter N’ Banana Sandwich, you’ll only have to fork over $11.25—a little pricey for a basic sandwich, but far cheaper than a Graceland ticket.

To this day, The Arcade is still going strong. Just four days ago, one diner raved on Google, “The food was great! The service was pretty good. The atmosphere was terrific. Apparently, it hasn’t changed much since Elvis dined there.”

The 2026 Emmys Could Break More Than 25 Records — Here Are the Biggest Ones to Watch

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:59am

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards could be a historic night for Jean Smart, Zendaya, Quinta Brunson, and several other television stars.

More than 25 Emmy records could be broken during the Sept. 14 ceremony, according to data compiled by ActionNetwork.com. The possibilities range from Smart tying the record for the most acting Emmys ever won by a performer to Brunson and Zendaya setting new milestones in their respective categories.

Smart enters the ceremony with seven acting Emmys and is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks. A win would give her eight, tying Cloris Leachman and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the all-time record.

Smart could make history in another way. She has won the lead comedy actress Emmy for each of the first four seasons of Hacks. Another victory would make her the first performer to go a perfect five-for-five in the category for every season of a show.

Alison Janney could also reach eight career acting Emmys. The Diplomat star already has seven wins, including four for The West Wing, two for Mom, and one for Masters of Sex. She is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Brunson has a chance to make history with Abbott Elementary. She could become the first Black actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series twice. Brunson first won the award in 2023, becoming the first Black actress to take the category since Isabel Sanford in 1981.

Zendaya could reach two milestones with Euphoria. The 30-year-old could become the youngest actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series three times and the first Black actress to win the category three times. Zendaya became the category’s youngest winner when she took home her first Emmy at age 24 in 2020.

Age records could also fall in several categories. Martin Short, 76, could become the oldest winner of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Only Murders in the Building. Eugene Levy currently holds the record after winning at 73 for Schitt’s Creek in 2020.

Harrison Ford, 84, could similarly become the oldest winner of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Shrinking. Stephen Root, 74, is also in position to break the existing record, set when Henry Winkler won for Barry at 72.

Sally Field could make history at 79 with Remarkably Bright Creatures. A victory would make her the oldest winner of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie, surpassing legendary Jessica Tandy.

Several nominees could also achieve historic firsts. Matthew Rhys could become the first Welsh actor to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay. Colman Domingo could become the first Afro-Latino actor to win Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Four Seasons, while Jack Lowden could become the first Scottish actor to win Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Slow Horses.

Widow’s Bay has an opportunity to make history beyond its acting nominations. The comedy already collected eight Emmys at the Creative Arts ceremony and has seven more nominations heading into the Primetime ceremony. It could surpass The Studio, which set the record for the most Emmy wins by a comedy in a single year with 13 in 2025. It could also set a new mark for the most wins by a comedy in its first season.

Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live could add to its standing as the most awarded program in Emmy history. Including its specials, the series has won 114 Emmys and could reach 115 with a victory for Outstanding Variety Series.

Two records have already been set at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys. Mariska Hargitay became the first person to win Emmys for acting, directing, and producing a documentary after collecting two awards for My Mum Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay. Julie Andrews, meanwhile, became the oldest woman to win a Primetime Emmy at 90 years and 11 months with her victory for Bridgerton.

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards air Monday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC and stream on Peacock.

Hallmark Channel Stars Issue Urgent Warning in New PSA After Fans Targeted: 'Stay Safe'

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:46am

Some of Hallmark Channel‘s most popular stars, from Lacey Chabert to Tyler Hynes, have banded together for a new PSA campaign, hoping to keep their fans safe from increasingly sophisticated and convincing online scammers.

On Monday, September 14, Hallmark Media launched an all-new PSA across its social and digital platforms, warning of scams specifically targeting Hallmark fans. The effort comes nearly one year after Hallmark issued a similar holiday campaign with several of its stars.

Participants in last year’s video who are back in 2026 — Hynes, Nikki DeLoach, Jonathan Bennett, and Andrew Walker — are joined in the new PSA by Chabert, Victor Webster, and Benjamin Ayres for the new campaign, with “an added emphasis on misleading AI, which is causing a rise in fraudulent scams,” the company said.

Hallmark Media 2026 PSA (0:45)

“We have something very important to tell you,” Bennett tells viewers early in the new video, following Hynes and Ayres telling fans, “There’s a growing industry wide problem across social media.”

The six celebs take turns delivering the message: “Fake accounts are impersonating actors, reaching out to fans directly with misleading messages. And now with AI, even if it looks or sounds like me, it isn’t.”

Bennett then quips, “‘Cause let’s be honest, there’s only one me!” The stars then vow to “never contact you personally to ask for financial help, donations, or to meet up. If you receive or have received a message like this, it’s a scam.”

“It is a scam, I’m so sorry,” Chabert confirms, and fans are instructed to block any account that sends such a message, and report it to the social media platform where they received it. The stars concluded by urging fans to “stay safe” and thanking them for being part of “our Hallmark family.”

How Do Celebrity Impersonators Get Fans to Trust Them?

As soon as the new PSA was posted to Hallmark’s social media pages on September 14, fans began to comment on their own experiences, including one who sarcastically wrote on YouTube, “I can’t tell you how many times Tyler has reached out to me! I’m pretty sure we’re besties by now!!”

Another commented on Instagram, “It is absolutely disgusting how many impersonators are out there on every single platform can’t even leave a comment without a spammer pretending to be so and so. Thank you all for this message!”

View this post on Instagram

There are a number of ways celebrity imposters convince fans that they’re the real actor reaching out. In many cases, they will set up social media accounts that look like a star’s real account. They’ll then reply to fans’ social media comments or send direct messages, pretending to be that celebrity, eager to connect privately on that app or elsewhere.

Some scammers use very believable AI-generated content, with images and videos created to closely resemble the stars, and will even reference their projects and locations to make their interactions feel authentic.

There are also scammers using AI to create false reports about celebrities, hoping to gain sympathy and a reason to ask for financial help. In August 2025, a YouTube video that claimed to show Walker looking gravely ill and in the hospital had over 48,000 views and many concerned comments from fans who believed he was truly sick.

NBC News reported in July 2025 that AI-generated “reports” were on the rise and becoming a major problem for celebrities, but also for established news outlets trying to parse out fact from fiction. Google, which owns YouTube, has said it’s been developing tools to identify videos made with AI, but NBC said the software is not yet sophisticated enough to help the general public, so fans must be exceedingly cautious.

1974 Soul Song, Written for Maya Rudolph, Is Still a Powerful No.1 Hit 52 Years Later

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:43am

One of Minnie Riperton‘s iconic tracks, which would become a hit love song of the 1970s, has a much deeper meaning and rose the ranks to top the charts.

Born and raised in Chicago, Riperton was a notable talent from a young age, but in the ’70s, she was still trying to make her mark. Her album Come to My Garden failed to capture interest until a record deal with Epic and help from Stevie Wonder led her to a signature hit and a successful album.

“Lovin’ You” was released as part of Riperton’s Perfect Angel album in 1974 and rose on the Billboard Hot 100 chart to land at No.1. It also ranked high at No. 4 on the Adult Contemporary chart and No. 3 on the Hot Soul Singles chart. The track itself was thanks to songwriter and producer Richard Rudolph.

Rudolph and Riperton had met in 1967 in Chicago at the Electric Theater, where Riperton was performing at the time with her soul band, Rotary Connection. It just so happened that Rudolph was the owner, and they soon began a relationship. The couple had their son, Marc, in 1968, and their daughter in 1972.

Not many people know that actor and comedian Maya Rudolph is the daughter of the hit singer. In fact, “Lovin’ You” was written by Rudolph and Ripperton because of their daughter. Rudolph began composing the track in 1971 while they were still living in Chicago. As the couple wanted to focus more on their children, they decided to move to Florida, and Maya was born shortly after.

“I’d started messing around with ‘Lovin’ You’ in 1971, when we were living in Chicago. We went to visit some friends in Cape Cod, and one of them, Bert Malatesta—who had a great influence on me musically—encouraged me to complete it. Minnie was pregnant with our daughter, Maya, at the time,” Rudolph said, according to MixOnline.

Rudolph started to work on “Lovin’ You” again after his daughter was born and soon developed its lyrics and bridge. Riperton was the one who came up with the track’s final melody. Reports claimed Riperton had developed the melody to distract their baby daughter, hoping it would lull her to sleep, but Rudolph detailed having heard his wife humming the melody while cooking.

It was also reported that their daughter was in the studio when Riperton recorded “Lovin’ You,” and if anyone listened closely, they could hear Riperton sing her daughter’s name at the end.

“Lovin’ You” was also tied to Wonder. Having worked with the rising star before, when Riperton got a deal with Epic Records and developed her album, she asked Wonder to produce it. Wonder agreed to produce the track alongside Rudolph, but used the pseudonym El Toro Negro.

The track has since also been a part of pop culture, having appeared in The Nutty Professor, Vegas Vacation, South Park, The Wild, MegaMind, The Angry Birds Movie 2, and Black Mirror. Riperton’s iconic look of flowers in her hair and high vocal range made the song iconic.

This Classic 81-Year-Old Drugstore Moisturizer Is Still a Dermatologist-Favorite for Boosting Hydration

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:34am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Innovation is great, but sometimes things are classics for a reason. The tried-and-tested skincare product Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion has long been a dermatologist favorite since its introduction 81 years ago. Parade spoke with two dermatologists to learn more about why the moisturizer was such a hit then and remains so widely recommended today.

Dr. Danny Guo, a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist in Calgary, calls Lubriderm “a classic, no-frills moisturizer,” a much-needed option in an industry that can be oversaturated with complicated multi-ingredient products and 10-step skincare routines.

Dr. Dara Spearman, dermatologist and founder of Radiant Dermatology Associates in Indiana, agrees, adding, “One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that better results require a higher price tag.”

Instead, she wants people to prioritize consistency.

“For busy individuals or anyone trying to simplify their skincare, a dependable moisturizer often delivers greater long-term benefits than an expensive collection of body creams,” she tells Parade.

That’s part of why she’s such a big fan of Lubriderm as a daily moisturizing option, explaining, “Many patients simply need a moisturizer they can afford, enjoy using and will actually apply every day, and Lubriderm checks those boxes.”

If you’re looking for a reliable workhorse of a product, here’s why you should consider this classic moisturizer, according to skincare experts.

Target

Shop it at Target What Is Lubriderm—and How Did It Go From Clinics to Drugstore Shelves?

According to the Lubriderm website, the lightweight lotion was originally developed by pharmacist Louis Schleuse in 1945 and given that name “to describe both its moisturization and dermatological benefits.”

It was initially used exclusively by pharmacists, hospitals and dermatologists to soothe rough, dry and itchy skin. Eventually the product expanded to the consumer drugstore market in 1975, which Dr. Guo credits largely to there being “so much support from professionals like dermatologists.”

Today, Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion ($11) is still formulated with no-nonsense ingredients like shea butter and glycerin for hydration. It’s made for all skin types, and there’s even a fragrance-free option for extra sensitive skin.

What Makes Lubriderm Daily Moisture So Effective for Dehydrated Skin?

Dr. Spearman says the product is effective mostly due to its simplicity.

“It focuses on the fundamentals of skin hydration rather than relying on trendy ingredients,” she says, adding that the glycerin attracts water into the outer skin layer, while the formula smooths rough areas and allows the skin barrier to recover.

“The lightweight texture also encourages consistent use,” she adds, noting that it’ doesn’t’s designed not to feel heavy or greasy on the skin.

Why Dermatologists Still Recommend This No-Frills Lotion Today

Dr. Guo says Lubriderm still gets recommended by dermatologists because of its simple list of ingredients.

“The more ‘complex’ a formula, the more variables there are,” he says. “For someone with very sensitive skin or has a history of reacting to various skincare products, I always opt for classic, basic, no-frills options like this.”

Dr. Spearman adds, “Skin biology hasn’t changed, even if skincare trends have. The skin still needs water, lipids and barrier support, and a well-balanced humectant and emollient formula [like Lubriderm] addresses those needs just as effectively today as it did years ago.”

She continues, “A formula that hydrates well, layers easily and is comfortable enough to use every day will always remain relevant.”

Is Lubriderm Safe for Mature, Sensitive or Compromised Skin?

Dr. Spearman calls Lubriderm “an excellent option” for those with mature or sensitive skin because “it provides hydration without feeling overly heavy.”

She adds, “Patients experiencing post-menopausal dryness often benefit from regular application, as aging skin naturally produces fewer lipids and loses moisture more easily.”

Dr. Guo says the “safest version” for those with very sensitive skin is the fragrance-free Lubriderm lotion to really ensure it’s the most bare-bones formula possible.

“As always, skincare should be individualized based on the patient’s specific skin condition and severity,” adds Dr. Spearman.

Lubriderm vs. Other Drugstore Lotions: How Does It Compare?

When it comes to other popular drugstore lotions like CeraVe ($21), Aveeno ($15) and Cetaphil ($16), Dr. Guo says they “use many of the same ingredients as their backbone” that Lubriderm does.

As Dr. Spearman puts it, “Each of these brands has strengths, and I recommend them for different reasons rather than viewing one as universally superior.”

She explains:

  • “CeraVe emphasizes ceramides for barrier repair.”
  • “Aveeno often incorporates soothing oat-based ingredients.”
  • “Cetaphil is known for gentle formulations designed for sensitive skin.”

Dr. Spearman continues, “Lubriderm stands out for its lightweight feel, simplicity and reliable hydration, making it especially appealing for people who want an uncomplicated moisturizer they’ll use consistently.”

Price wise, Lubriderm handily beats the others, coming in at around 45 cents per ounce of product, compared to around 80 cents for Cetaphil and Aveeno and over a dollar per ounce for CeraVe. Of course, prices may vary between drugstores, but with Lubriderm’s no-frills formula and low cost, it’s a great option for a product that you have to apply daily.

1991 Rock Masterpiece That Gave Us 'Two Princes' Is Getting a 35th Anniversary Tour, Played Song for Song in Order

Spin Doctors are taking their 1991 debut album back on the road, song by song.

On Monday, Sept. 14, the band announced a 2027 tour marking 35 years of Pocket Full of Kryptonite, with the album played in full and in order. The shows will also include fan favorites from the rest of the band’s career. The run opens Feb. 18 at The Vogue in Indianapolis and wraps March 20 at Paradise Rock Club in Boston.

Spin Doctors formed in New York City in 1988 and broke through with the album three years later. According to the press release provided to Parade, the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, went 5× Platinum and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

“Two Princes” reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination. “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” got to No. 17.

The record also put the band on The Late Show With David Letterman, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Saturday Night Live, Top of the Pops and the cover of Rolling Stone.

“It’s hard to believe any of us are old enough to have performed any adult task 35 years ago,” frontman Chris Barron said. “When we made that album, there was a palpable sensation that we were catching something magical. It’s gratifying and fulfilling to have people still loving it and wanting to hear us play something we did all those years ago.”

Drummer Aaron Comess, one of the band’s founding members, echoed that.

“We could not be more grateful for the longevity of Pocket Full of Kryptonite,” he said. “We all truly enjoy playing this diverse collection of songs together after all these years. It’s going to be a blast to celebrate 35 years together.”

Garth Brooks Shares ‘Breaking News’ With Fans: ‘Something Is Happening’

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:19am

Garth Brooks has some “breaking news” for fans after experiencing something on his current tour that he says he’s never felt before.

The country superstar shared an emotional open letter after wrapping up the latest shows on his Blame It All on My Roots Tour, attempting to describe something he says he’s never experienced before in decades of performing.

“Something is happening on this tour,” Brooks wrote.

The 64-year-old singer said the feeling began at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and continued through London’s Hyde Park, Indianapolis, Denver and his most recent shows outside Chicago. He wondered whether the difference could be the completely live nature of the performances, writing that there are “no loops, no prerecorded stuff,” just music in all its imperfections.

But even Brooks doesn’t seem entirely sure how to explain what he’s experiencing.

“In all my years, I have never ‘felt’ what I’ve been feeling this year in the live arena,” he wrote, describing both joy and tears among the audiences.

Brooks went on to wonder whether what he’s witnessing is a sense of unity created when thousands of people who may have little else in common suddenly begin singing the same words together.

“This is NOT a promotion for the tour,” he stressed. “Second, this has nothing to do with Garth Brooks.”

Instead, Brooks said he’s simply grateful to be part of whatever is happening, adding that seeing and feeling it has left him feeling “full.” He closed the message by thanking God and his fans.

The letter was inspired by fellow country singer-songwriter Ward Davis, who attended one of Brooks’ recent concerts and subsequently struggled to put the experience into words himself.

Davis recalled learning Brooks’ music on piano as a child and said those songs helped set him on the path toward becoming a musician. Decades later, seeing Brooks perform brought all those memories rushing back.

“Honestly, I wept for most of the show,” Davis wrote in the emotional post, adding that he felt as though his “whole life” flashed before his eyes.

Brooks’ current Blame It All on My Roots Tour launched Aug. 20 in Indianapolis and marks his return to traditional indoor arenas after years of stadium shows and his Las Vegas residency. The production deliberately recalls his massive 1990s arena tours, complete with a 360-degree stage and an updated version of his famous overhead drum pod.

Whatever Brooks is feeling from the stage, judging by Davis’ reaction, at least some of the people in the audience are feeling it, too.

The real star of the show, though, is its deep mauve color. Rich, slightly moody and decidedly autumnal, the hue feels like the sophisticated cousin of traditional orange and red fall decor. In other words, if pumpkins and plaid aren’t quite your thing, this wreath could be your ticket to a more elevated look.

Hang it on your front door and let it do most of the heavy lifting. The 22-inch size has enough presence to make an impact while still leaving room for other porch touches, whether that means a cozy doormat, a couple of neutral planters or a few pumpkins tucked nearby.

And because it’s faux, you get the visual payoff of berry-filled fall foliage without worrying about keeping anything alive. It’s essentially the decor equivalent of putting on a chunky sweater—instant cozy, minimal effort. It also features beautiful greenery tucked among the berries, giving it a real look while tying into the sage green moment fall is having.

So, if your porch needs a little seasonal personality but you’re not ready to go full harvest festival, consider this your sign. A deep mauve textural wreath, a crisp fall breeze and maybe a pumpkin or two are all you really need to make your front door feel like it got the autumn memo.

Beloved Actor, Who Trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Turns 53

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:10am

Andrew Lincoln, the British actor best known for playing Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead, turns 53.

Born Andrew James Clutterbuck in London on Sept. 14, 1973, Lincoln built a long acting career that includes television, film, theater and voice work. But for millions of fans around the world, he remains closely linked to Rick Grimes, the former sheriff’s deputy at the center of The Walking Dead.

Before becoming one of television’s best-known faces, Lincoln trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, better known as RADA, in London. According to Courageous Nerd, the prestigious drama school helped shape his acting career, which began on British television in the 1990s.

Lincoln’s path to global fame was not an overnight success. He worked in British television and theater before landing roles that introduced him to wider audiences. His career later changed dramatically when he was cast as Rick Grimes in AMC’s The Walking Dead in 2010.

He remained with the series through 2018, appearing as Rick for nine seasons. He later returned to the role for The Walking Dead series finale in 2022 and starred in the 2024 spin-off The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live alongside Danai Gurira.

Lincoln’s early interest in acting started when he was a teenager. At age 14, he played the Artful Dodger in a school production of Oliver!. He later spent a summer at London’s National Youth Theatre before deciding to pursue acting as a career.

Lincoln made his television debut in 1994 in an episode of the British sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey. A year later, he made his film debut in Boston Kickout.

His first major television role came as Edgar “Egg” Cooke in the BBC drama This Life. He then appeared in projects such as Teachers, Afterlife, Wuthering Heights and Strike Back.

His training also extended beyond acting. Lincoln directed two episodes of Teachers, earning a BAFTA nomination for Best New Director in 2004.

Despite his classical training, Lincoln once joked about the unusual combination of his RADA background and his work on The Walking Dead.

“I love it,” Lincoln said, per Independent. “And the people I trained with at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts think it is hilarious – I am classically trained and yet I wear cowboy boots and a Stetson and I shoot zombies for a living. I am a zombie-slayer so yes, it is [hilarious].”

Before The Walking Dead made him a global star, Lincoln had already become familiar to many movie fans through Love Actually, per Undead Walking.

In the 2003 Christmas romantic comedy, he played Mark, the quiet and lovesick friend of Peter, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor. His character secretly loves Juliet, played by Keira Knightley, and delivers one of the movie’s most remembered scenes using cue cards.

The role helped expose Lincoln to audiences outside the United Kingdom. At that point, much of his work had been in British television and theater.

Seven years later, Lincoln landed the role that would define another major part of his career.

In The Walking Dead, he played Rick Grimes, a sheriff’s deputy who wakes from a coma to find a world changed by a zombie outbreak. Rick becomes a leader as he and his family and friends try to survive both the undead and dangerous people.

Lincoln’s performance earned major recognition. He won the Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television in 2015 and 2017 for his work on the series.

He left The Walking Dead in 2018 after choosing to spend more time with his children. However, Rick Grimes’ story was not finished.

Lincoln returned to the character in 2022 and later led The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live in 2024. The series reunited Rick with Danai Gurira’s Michonne and continued the story of the two characters after their long separation.

The role also brought Lincoln back into the wider Walking Dead universe after his original departure.

In 2025, he appeared in The Lady from the Sea on stage and also starred in the television drama Coldwater.

Lincoln has also continued taking on voice work. According to Deadline, he is credited as the narrator of Force of Nature, a natural history series about animals facing extreme weather and the effects of a changing climate.

Speaking about the project, Lincoln said: “Force of Nature is unlike any series I have ever worked on before,” Lincoln said. “The team have done an excellent job at capturing the breathtaking wildlife in all its glory.”

As Andrew Lincoln celebrates his 53rd birthday, his career stands as a journey from school theater and RADA training to British television, major films and one of the most recognizable characters in modern television.

Disney Fans Are Loving This Adorable New Part of Disney’s Magic of Animation Attraction

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:10am

There’s a new reason for Disney fans to visit Hollywood Studios, and it involves a pencil, a sketch pad and everyone’s favorite warm-hug-loving snowman.

The Magic of Disney Animation officially opened Sept. 14, 2026, bringing a new collection of interactive experiences inspired by more than a century of Walt Disney Animation Studios storytelling. But among the character encounters, immersive play spaces and animated surprises, Olaf Draws! is already shaping up to be one of the new attraction’s most charming experiences.

Inspired by the Emmy Award-winning short Once Upon a Studio, Olaf Draws! puts aspiring animators of all ages in the artist’s seat to learn how to sketch beloved Disney characters—with a little help from Olaf himself.

Why Disney Fans Are Loving Olaf Draws!

The star of the show is an all-new Audio-Animatronics Olaf, perched behind an animator’s desk in a scene inspired by one of his memorable moments in Once Upon a Studio.

And yes, he sounds exactly as he should. Disney Legend Josh Gad returned to record original dialogue for the experience, bringing Olaf’s signature optimism and humor into the animation studio.

But Olaf Draws! isn’t simply a show to sit back and watch. Guests pick up a pencil and follow along with recorded lessons from actual Disney Animation artists and filmmakers, learning the tips and techniques used to bring some of the studio’s most recognizable characters to life.

The lineup spans generations of Disney fandom, from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Genie to Moana, Stitch, Ursula, Olaf and Zootopia favorites Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

Even better, Disney brought in some serious animation heavyweights to teach the classes. Disney Legend Eric Goldberg, the animator behind Genie in Aladdin, shows guests how to draw the fast-talking character, while Once Upon a Studio director Dan Abraham takes on Mickey Mouse.

Other lessons are led by artists and filmmakers who have worked on everything from Frozen 2 and Encanto to Moana 2 and Zootopia 2, making the experience feel like a mini master class on the Disney Animation lot—albeit one with plenty of Olaf jokes.

For Gad, that opportunity to put a pencil in the hands of the next generation is part of what makes the attraction special.

“I’m so thrilled that a whole new generation of kids can dream of becoming animators one day and can actually begin their journey right there on the studio lot,” Gad said in Disney’s opening announcement.

That sense of possibility is what makes Olaf Draws! feel especially sweet, whether you grew up trying to get Mickey’s ears just right or have a little one who might someday dream of becoming a Disney animator.

After more than a century of Disney making drawings come to life, this time, you get to pick up the pencil—with Olaf cheering you on from the animator’s desk.

IHOP Finally Brings Back One of Its Most Requested Menu Items After 2 Decades

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:05am

IHOP is bringing back one of its “most beloved breakfast offerings,” and surprisingly, it has nothing to do with pancakes.

Following the return of its “iconic” syrup caddies earlier this year, the chain of go-to breakfast joints is doubling down on the sweetness and reviving another favorite in response to years of sustained guest demand and online conversation: its Stuffed French Toast.

The popular menu item first appeared at IHOP in 2003, and the limited-time offer quickly became a guest favorite, prompting the brand to extend its presence and “elevate” its offer with new flavors, ingredients, and techniques. Although the recipe has come and gone, over the years, fans have been treated to offshoots like its Thick ‘N Fluffy French Toast, which launched in 2022. And now, after nearly two decades, the highly anticipated comeback of its original Stuffed French Toast (which it called its most-requested menu item on social media) is finally here.

IHOP’s Stuffed French Toast Returns to Menus Nationwide

“The return of Stuffed French Toast reflects our commitment to growing the IHOP brand by leaning into what guests love most,” Lawrence Kim, IHOP’s president, shared in a statement. “We saw years of demand across social media and beyond, and we knew this was the right moment to bring back a fan favorite in a way that feels relevant for today.”

Related: IHOP’s Viral Dubai Chocolate Pancakes Return Nationwide With a Brand-New Milkshake

According to IHOP, the returning favorite is coming back with a refresh and new flavors, making it feel on-trend with today’s hot favorites. As fruity, creamy combinations take over menus everywhere, IHOP is joining in on the craze and launching its new-yet-familiar Strawberry Vanilla and Blueberry Vanilla Stuffed French Toast.

  • Strawberry Vanilla & Blueberry Vanilla Stuffed French Toast: 2 triangles filled with sweet cream, dipped and griddled in our vanilla, cinnamon French toast batter. Topped with a choice of glazed strawberries or blueberry topping and vanilla sauce

And if you’re thinking, “this kind of reminds me of the original Toaster Strudel,” well, you wouldn’t be the only one (we had that thought, too). And it appears to be intentional, as IHOP described its new offers as a “pastry-level, nostalgic experience” that brings back “cherished breakfast memories.”

“By pairing a beloved classic with new flavor innovation and a fresh marketing approach, we’re creating excitement for longtime fans while introducing a new generation of guests to one of IHOP’s most iconic breakfast experiences,” Kim added.

All this talk got you hungry? Lucky for you, IHOP’s new Stuffed French Toast is available nationwide beginning today (Monday, September 14). Prices may vary.

Six-Time Grammy Winner, 65 Years Into Her Career, Recruits 2 Younger Stars for One of Her Last Songs Ever, 'One Heart Can Change the World'

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:01am

Dionne Warwick has teamed with Mya and Saweetie on “One Heart Can Change the World,” a new song out Sept. 25.

It is the third single from DWuets, the album she announced in March as the final record of her 65-year career.

Forest Whitaker narrates the track. Grammy-winning violinist Miri Ben-Ari and sound healer Ana Netanel also appear on it.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Why Sept. 25

The announcement ties the song to the 45th annual International World Peace Day.

The release date also falls on the night of the Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative’s “Rise As One” gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. Whitaker oversees the initiative as part of his work with the United Nations, and Warwick, Mya and Saweetie are all being honored there.

“In a world that longs for peace, it begins with a smile; from a smile hope takes flight. One smile, one world, one heart,” Whitaker said in the announcement.

She Has Done This Before

Warwick tied the new song to the charity records she sang on in the 1980s.

“I was part of the supergroup that united for USA For Africa in 1985 with a Michael Jackson/Lionel Richie-penned song produced by Quincy Jones, ‘We Are the World,'” she said.

She also pointed to “That’s What Friends Are For,” the 1986 No. 1 she recorded with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder. Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager wrote it, and Warwick said its proceeds still go to the American Foundation for AIDS Research.

“I have seen just how powerful a song for a call to action can be,” she said.

The Rest of the Album

Diane Warren wrote every song on DWuets, and the title comes from the initials she shares with Warwick. Warwick’s son, Damon Elliott, is producing all of the duets.

The first two singles featured Cynthia Erivo and John Legend.

DWuets will close out a career that has put three of her songs in the Grammy Hall of Fame: “Alfie,” “Walk On By” and “Don’t Make Me Over.”

How Long Does Bed Bug Treatment Take To Completely Eliminate an Infestation?

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 11:00am

Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Finding bed bugs in your home is stressful, especially when you don’t know how long it will take to get rid of them. Most professional bed bug treatments take several weeks, rather than a single day or visit. Orkin says its treatments typically require three to four rounds, while the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends follow-up monitoring because eggs or hidden bugs can survive an initial treatment.

The timeline depends on the size of the infestation, where bed bugs are hiding, the treatment method and how well the home is prepared.

If you suspect an infestation, a professional inspection from Orkin can determine how extensive the problem is and what treatment it requires.

Why does bed bug treatment take so long?

Bed bugs have a life cycle that makes one-time treatment difficult. The University of Minnesota Extension reports that bed bug eggs typically hatch within six to 10 days under normal conditions.

An initial treatment may kill active bugs but leave some eggs behind. When those eggs hatch, newly emerged nymphs become targets for follow-up treatment. This is why the EPA recommends an integrated pest management (IPM) approach that combines treatment with inspection and monitoring.

What affects the treatment timeline?
  • Infestation size: Larger infestations generally involve more bugs and hiding places.
  • Treatment method: Heat and chemical treatments work differently against bed bugs and their eggs.
  • Home preparation: Clutter and inaccessible areas give bed bugs places to hide.
  • Adjacent spaces: In apartments, condos and townhomes, nearby units may also need inspection.
  • Follow-up: Additional visits address activity that appears after the initial treatment.

The EPA advises homeowners to expect multiple professional visits because few infestations are controlled with one treatment.

What happens after the first treatment?

Treatment does not necessarily end after the first service. Follow-up inspections look for live bugs and other signs of continued activity. Orkin describes its process as an inspection followed by a customized treatment plan and scheduled follow-up visits.

Entomologist Ron Harrison, Ph.D., has noted that bed bugs are effective hitchhikers and can survive for extended periods without feeding, making infestations difficult to control on your own.

Still finding live bed bugs after treatment? Contact your Orkin pest professional before attempting another DIY application. Continued activity could mean eggs have hatched, bugs were missed or the home has been reinfested.

How do you know when bed bugs are gone?

There is no single EPA clearance test for declaring a home free of bed bugs. Professionals instead look for sustained evidence that activity has stopped through inspections and monitoring.

Signs that treatment is working include:

  • No live bed bugs during inspections.
  • No new eggs, shed skins or fecal spots.
  • Monitoring devices remain free of bed bugs.
  • Follow-up inspections find no continuing activity.

A few days without bites does not confirm eradication. People react differently to bed bug bites, and the insects can remain hidden.

Does heat treatment get rid of bed bugs faster?

Heat can kill bed bugs at different life stages when the required temperature is maintained throughout the infested area. EPA guidance states that exposure to 120°F for 90 minutes kills bed bug eggs, although professional heat treatment requires specialized equipment and temperature monitoring.

Orkin offers heat treatment as one of its bed bug control options. A heat treatment may be completed in one day, but the overall eradication timeline still depends on the infestation and whether follow-up treatment is needed.

What should you do between treatments?

Follow your pest professional’s preparation and aftercare instructions. EPA guidance recommends laundering or drying appropriate bedding and clothing on high heat, reducing clutter and following instructions for treated items.

Avoid improvised treatments such as rubbing alcohol or household heaters. The EPA warns that these approaches can create fire and exposure hazards.

If you live in attached housing, notify your landlord or property manager. Bed bugs can move between connected living spaces, so neighboring units may need inspection.

When should you call a professional?

If you have confirmed bed bugs, getting professional help early can prevent the infestation from becoming harder to manage. The EPA recommends choosing a pest management professional experienced with bed bugs and integrated pest management.

How long should you expect the entire process to take?

Plan on several weeks for professional bed bug treatment, with the exact timeline determined by the infestation and treatment plan. Three to four treatment rounds are typical.

A contained infestation may resolve faster than one spread across multiple rooms or connected units. If you’re unsure whether bed bugs are still active, an inspection can provide a clearer answer than waiting for the problem to disappear.

FAQ Is it normal to see live bed bugs right after treatment?

Yes. According to Orkin, seeing live bugs shortly after service is common. Residual treatments take time to take effect, and unhatched eggs can yield new nymphs days later. Because complete control rarely happens in a single visit, follow-up inspections and treatments are a standard part of the elimination process.

Can you sleep in your bed after a bed bug treatment?

Yes, but timing is key. Orkin advises waiting until liquid treatments have completely dried before re-entering and sleeping in treated rooms. Installing mattress encasements adds an extra layer of protection by trapping any surviving bugs inside and preventing new ones from setting up camp in your mattress.

How much does professional bed bug treatment cost?

Bed bug treatment costs vary depending on the size of your home, the severity of the infestation, and the treatment method used. As Orkin notes, flat pricing isn’t practical because every infestation requires a tailored strategy. A professional inspection is the best way to get an accurate estimate for your home.

Orkin provides bed bug inspections and customized treatment plans. If you’re finding live bugs, eggs or other signs of an infestation, schedule a free Orkin quote and inspection to determine what is happening in your home and what treatment it requires.

Macklemore Dropped From Ed Sheeran Tour After Controversial 'Free Palestine' Onstage Speech

Mon, 09/14/2026 - 10:55am

Macklemore has been dropped from the remaining dates of Ed Sheeran‘s U.S. Loop Tour following his controversial “free Palestine” speech on stage during the Sept. 4 concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“A big part of the reason why I wanted to do this tour in the first place is so I could stand up in stadiums like this and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart: ‘Free Palestine.’ I said, ‘Free Palestine!’ I want those words to be loud and clear, so that people all the way in Gaza to the occupied West Bank know that we have not forgotten about them,” he told the crowd.

He then sang his song “Hind’s Hall,” with images of Gaza being shown on the screens around the stadium.

Following his speech, many began speaking out, calling for the tour to drop him including popular singer Pink as well as the Israeli American Council.

“This was an Ed Sheeran concert – not a political rally, not a protest, and not an activist event. The issue is not whether Macklemore has the right to hold political views. The question is where the line should be drawn when an opening act uses a global concert platform to advance a one-sided political agenda,” the Israeli American Council said in a petition.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Messina Touring Group, promoter of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, announced the decision.

“As the concert promoter for Ed Sheeran’s U.S. Loop Tour, we have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup, which would result in the cancellation of the tour and impact hundreds of thousands of fans. After discussions with stakeholders, Macklemore will not be performing on the remaining support dates,” they said.

Macklemore was set to perform on eight of Sheeran’s remaining 10 shows, including places such as Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and more.
