It's a classic loveseat, so it's recommended that only two people sit on it at the same time to remain comfortable. The storage bin features a wooden exterior that's weather-resistant. The door prevents moisture, leaves, pollen, and other external contaminants from seeping through. Adorn the bench with seat cushions and decorated throw pillows to achieve effortless farmhouse vibes.

The large storage compartment underneath the seat provides a significant amount of space for your outdoor items, whether you need a place to store pool products, gardening tools, and more. Considering the affordable sale price, one shopper even purchased two benches to place in their garden for design and convenience. This customer also recommended purchasing lock attachments for added security.

1989 Era-Defining Track Was a No. 1 Hit 37 Years Ago Today

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 11:06pm

It's been exactly 37 years since one of The Bangles' biggest hits topped the music charts, leaving an eternal mark on the soundtrack of the '80s.

On April 1, 1989, the all-female group's pop-rock ballad "Eternal Flame" hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, becoming their second to reach the chart summit. It followed the band's smash hit "Walk Like an Egyptian," which spent four weeks at No. 1 in 1986.

Co-written by lead singer Susanna Hoffs and songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, "Eternal Flame" quickly became one of the group's biggest songs, and continues to be a regarded as a signature, era-defining ballad of the '80s.

Not only did "Eternal Flame" reach massive success in the U.S., but it also topped the charts in nine different countries, including the UK where it spent four weeks at No. 1.

It was released as part of the group's third studio album, Everything, which came out in October 1988. "Eternal Flame" was later released as a single in January 1989, and debuted on the Hot 100 the following month.

"Eternal Flame" also made The Bangles the third all-female group to top the Billboard Hot 100 multiple times, behind The Shirelles and The Supremes.

In addition to the 1989 ballad, The Bangles also came close to the No. 1 spot with their timeless pop-rock anthem "Manic Monday," which peaked at No. 2 in April 1986. The catchy song and lead single from their Different Light album was written by Prince, who ironically blocked the group from hitting No. 1 with his own chart-topper, "Kiss."

The following year, The Bangles once again had a No. 2 hit with their cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter," recorded for the soundtrack of the 1987 film Less Than Zero.

1972 Hit Ranked Among ‘Greatest Songs of All Time’ Became a Timeless Anthem

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 10:43pm

A 1972 Motown hit that tells a tough family story has earned a spot on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

“Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone” by The Temptations still feels fresh today because of its long, moody groove and honest words about a dad who was never around.

The song first came out in a shorter version by another Motown group, The Undisputed Truth, but it did not climb very high on the charts.

Producer Norman Whitfield then gave it a big makeover for The Temptations. He turned it into a nearly 12-minute track on their album All Directions. The radio-friendly edit, about seven minutes long, hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 2, 1972. It became the group’s fourth and final pop chart-topper and peaked at number five on the R&B chart.

Melvin Franklin, Dennis Edwards, Otis Williams, Damon Harris, Richard Street - performing live onstage

The lyrics paint a picture from a child’s eyes. Kids ask their mom about their father who has died.

The mother keeps answering with the same sad line: “Papa was a rollin’ stone / wherever he laid his hat was his home / and when he died, all he left us was alone.” The story starts with the famous opening: “It was the third of September / That day I’ll always remember.”

The Temptations’ version opens with almost four minutes of music before any singing begins. A simple bass line leads the way, joined by hi-hat drums, bluesy guitar, wah-wah guitar, electric piano, hand claps, strings, and a bright trumpet solo.

The full album cut stretches to about 12 minutes with extra instrumental parts that build like a movie scene. Critics say this “cinematic soul” style helped point the way toward disco and even early house music years later.

The group sings together like a family talking. Dennis Edwards, Melvin Franklin, Richard Street and Damon Harris trade lines as the questioning kids. Otis Williams, the only original member still with the group today, has called it the last real classic the Temptations recorded.

In 1973 the song swept three Grammy Awards: Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Group, Best R&B Instrumental Performance for the B-side, and Best R&B Song for writers Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. It later entered the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

The full album version sits at number 169 on Rolling Stone’s updated 500 Greatest Songs list, one of three Temptations tracks honored there.

The Temptations formed in Detroit in 1961 when two local groups joined forces. They signed with Motown and became known for tight harmonies, sharp dance moves and sharp suits. Early hits like “My Girl” in 1965 showed smooth romantic soul.

By the late 1960s, producer Norman Whitfield pushed them into a new “psychedelic soul” direction with heavier beats and social messages. Hits included “Cloud Nine,” which won a Grammy, and “I Can’t Get Next to You.” Lineup changes came: David Ruffin left in 1968, Eddie Kendricks departed in 1971. Dennis Edwards stepped in as a strong lead voice.

The group earned four number-one pop hits total: “My Girl,” “I Can’t Get Next to You,” “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me),” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.”

They released 53 singles that reached the Hot 100. In 1989 they entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their story inspired a TV miniseries and the Broadway musical Ain’t Too Proud.

The current group includes Ron Tyson (since 1983), Terry Weeks (since 1997), Tony Grant (since 2021) and Jawan M. Jackson on bass. Melvin Franklin passed away in 1995, and other early members have also left us, including Dennis Edwards.

Matthew Morrison Transforms Into 1960s Singer Bobby Darin in ‘Just In Time’

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 10:43pm

From April 1-19, Matthew Morrison (Glee’s Mr. Schuester) will be taking over Jonathan Groff’s lead role in the Broadway production Just in Time. During this three-week run, Morrison will be portraying the 1960s singer of “Splish Splash” and “Mack The Knife,” Bobby Darin

His debut in Just in Time marks his first time on Broadway in over 10 years, since he last appeared as J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland.

In a reel on Instagram, Groff is seen throwing his hat to Morrison as a way to toss the baton over to the next Darin. After Morrison catches it, the two are seen sharing a kiss behind it.

“Some roles are bigger than any one of us. I’m feeling lucky to hold this one for a little while,” Morrison posted. “Grateful to Jonathan Groff for setting it up… and for always keeping things interesting.”

In the weeks leading up to his April 1 debut in Just in Time, Morrison has been posting photos and stories from his previous Broadway productions. From Hairspray to South Pacific, Morrison is no stranger to the stage. However, this will be the first time he’s replaced someone in a show.

“I’m used to being on the ground floor and creating," Morrison said in an interview with Broadway.com. "But honestly to take over Jonathan's very, very big shoes to fill is such an honor because he is a friend. He is a beast in this show. He laid the map so perfectly that it actually takes some of the work off of me.”

Morrison later said in the interview that he had friends who had seen the musical and told him that the songs are “so up [his] alley.”

“These are the songs that I love to sing,” Morrison said. “I’m a crooner, I'm a song-and-dance man. So I feel like this show really fits me like a glove. I'm excited to put my mark on it.”

Following Morrison’s three-week run, Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan will be taking over the role of Darin. This performance comes on the heels of Jordan’s recent final bow in The Great Gatsby.

Here’s an early look at Morrison’s Bobby Darin:

Megan Thee Stallion Was Transported to the Hospital After Tuesday Night's Performance of 'Moulin Rouge' Came to an Unexpected Stop

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 10:30pm

Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized this evening, after the performance of Moulin Rouge was forced to stop mid-show.

Celebrity hair stylist Kellon Deryck, who is good friends with the rapper, took to X around 9:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday night, which likely coincided with the musical's scheduled end time after a 7 p.m. start, to request, "Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital 🙏."

Many fans worried that it was a poorly landed April Fool's joke given the timing, but later on, a spokesperson for the musician told CBS News New York that in the middle of the evening's performance, the star, who is currently playing the role of club-owner Zidler, began to feel "very ill."

Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital 🙏

— Kellon Deryck (@KellonDeryck) April 1, 2026 The Rapper Quickly Received Medical Attention

Her rep said she was "promptly" taken to a nearby hospital, where she is currently being assessed by medical professionals. No additional details have been revealed at this time, but they promised to "share additional updates as more information becomes available."

So Far, Details Are Vague

Loren LoRosa, an entertainment news correspondent, was in the audience this evening and reported on social media that Megan "was great on stage" for her first few scenes, but they eventually stopped the show and apologized to the audience, requesting they "stay inside and seated."

Not long after, she shared that the show was continuing on with another actor in Megan's place, with "no explanation as to why" she had been "removed."

Naturally, fans of the "Savage" songstress flooded Deryck's comments with concern, with one replying, "i’m literally gonna be up all night," and plenty others "wishing her speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹."

Megan Thee Stallion made her Broadway debut just days ago, and is currently scheduled to perform in the hit musical through May 17.

45 Years Ago Today, Beloved '70s Icon Won His First Best Actor Award at the Oscars

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 10:09pm

Robert De Niro reached a career-defining moment in 1981 after landing the role of Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull.

The notable actor, who was then in his mid-30s, delivered a gripping portrayal of Jake LaMotta, the Italian-American boxer whose reputation outside the ring was overshadowed by his troubled personal life.

Directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, the movie is not only considered one of his masterpieces but also among the greatest films ever made.

Raging Bull solidified De Niro’s standing in the industry with an Oscar-winning performance.

On this day, 45 years ago, the iconic actor, known for his intense "method" acting, took home his first Best Actor award at the 53rd Academy Awards.

Presented by the two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field, De Niro emerged as the winner against veteran actors like Robert Duvall in The Great Santini, John Hurt in The Elephant Man, Jack Lemmon in Tribute and Peter O'Toole in The Stunt Man.

At the time, the newly crowned Best Actor appeared almost speechless as he took the stage, taking in the magnitude of the moment.

During his acceptance speech, he expressed his deep gratitude to director Martin Scorsese, screenwriter Mardik Martin, the producers, as well as the staff and the crew who made the movie possible.

Moreover, De Niro personally thanked the LaMotta family, including Jake’s wives and his brother, who at that time was reportedly planning to sue the film for defamation.

“Vickie LaMotta and all the other wives, and Joey LaMotta, even though he's suing us,” he said, adding, “I hope that settles soon enough so I can go over to his house and eat once in a while. And Mardik Martin and Paul Schrader, who wrote the script. And of course, Jake La Motta, whose life it's all about. And Marty Scorsese, who gave me and all the other actors and everyone on the film all the love and trust that anyone could give anyone and is just wonderful as a director.”

Lastly, he also thanked his family and expressed hopes that Raging Bull can inspire or resonate with others.

De Niro’s Best Actor win marked his second Oscar recognition, following his first in 1975 when he took home Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather Part II.

Iconic '70s Hard Rock Album Just Debuted on Multiple Charts Over 50 Years After Its Release

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 10:03pm

Over 50 years since the release of their self-titled debut album, Aerosmith is still managing to hit career milestones. What's more, they're still reaching new heights with that same first record from 1973.

The band recently re-released Aerosmith in a sort of belated celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2023, with the updated edition featuring previously unreleased songs, new artwork and other special features.

As Forbes reported, it's been a big hit with fans — not just here but in the U.K., where the newly released Aerosmith debuted on multiple charts including the Official Albums Downloads list at #65, Official Albums Sales at #22, Official Physical Albums at #23 and Official Vinyl Albums at #32.

View this post on Instagram

This isn't the first time in recent months Aerosmith has found luck on the U.K. charts: The band's One More Time EP with Yungblud went to #1 towards the end of 2025.

The most famous song on 'Aerosmith' took years to become a hit

At this point, the iconic ballad "Dream On" is the most well-known song from the Aerosmith album, but it didn't actually break the Billboard top 10 until several years after it was released, in 1976 (following the success of "Sweet Emotion" the year before).

As Steven Tyler explained in an interview with Bruce Pollak of Songfacts, “‘Dream On’ was written four or five years before the group even started."

"Never in a million years did I think I’d take it to guitar," he continued. "When I transposed it to guitar Joe [Perry] played the right fingers and Brad [Whitford] played the left hand on guitar. Sitting there working it out on guitar and piano I got a little melodramatic. The song was so good it brought a tear to my eye.”

After all this time, it's still bringing tears to the eyes of Aerosmith fans, too.

'The Price is Right' Producer Slams Docuseries 'Dirty Rotten Scandals' and Defends Bob Barker

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 9:46pm

Roger Dobkowitz, the executive produce for The Price is Right, is breaking his silence on sexual harassment and racism allegations against Bob Barker.

In the E! documentary series, Dirty Rotten Scandals, several of "Barker's Beauties" alleged multiple instances of racism, sexual harassment, and mistreatment while working on the show. In a Sunday, March 29 post to his Facebook page, Dobkowtiz called the series an "obvious hit piece."

"The 'documentary' should just quietly disappear into the bottom of a TV equivalent of a waste basket along with all the other forgotten so-called 'exposes,'" he wrote. "However, since this program doesn't seem to have received much traction anyway (probably since the purported incident took place 30 years ago on a daytime game show and, consequently, fewer people care or remember it ), I feel it is OK for me to reveal my thoughts and, most importantly, defend the dignity and integrity of our great show."

Dobkowtiz worked on The Price is Right for 36 years in which Barker served as host from 1972-2007.

He continued in the Facebook post, "This so-called “expose” makes me realize that there are some people in this world who will happily exaggerate and create falsehoods in order to justify a personal hateful vendetta against a person in order to draw attention to themselves. Making the situation worse is the fact that the accused is deceased, and therefore, making it impossible for the accused to defend himself. The adjective 'brave' should never be used in reference to a person attacking a dead person."

He also called into question why the accusations were being brought against Barker more than three decades after the fact.

When someone feels the compulsion to constantly bring it up for another 30 years," Dobkowitz wrote, "is a sign that something could be wrong with their capacity to reason maturely."

Dobkowitz concluded the post teasing a possible memoir detailing his experience as an executive producer on the show and working with Barker.

"Someday, when I write my book, (if anyone still cares by then), my 36 years of observations with Bob, the models, and the staff will clear up lots of misconceptions and dismiss many wrongful accusations," he said. "The show was a happy place…our working environment was the envy of other shows. Staff rarely quit...the dozens of women who were in our repertoire of models came back year after year, happy to be on our show."

"After I broke up with Veronica, I knew I needed to make a change," Barry and Kim Plath's second-oldest son explained. "I met a pretty incredible girl, and we are doing great, and we are happy."

However, viewers didn't get a chance to meet Micah's new girlfriend in the Season 8 premiere. Her name wasn't shared, either. Micah shared that he is "keeping things somewhat private" and "evaluating everything that's happened over the last couple years."

He added, "I don't think I was on the path for what I wanted, and I'm going to switch things up a little bit and just chase a peaceful life."

In Season 7, Micah confessed to cheating on Veronica during their relationship.

“When we did long distance in L.A., I was still doing other relationships,” Micah admitted to producers. “All of that stopped when I decided to move here. However, I didn’t close any of the doors. I kept keeping up with other females and meeting up with them.”

Veronica added more context to his infidelity, sharing, “It’s crazy because he was cheating on me for a while every time he went to New York with this girl." Ultimately, the other woman called her and told her what Micah was doing.

“I committed before I was ready to commit," Micah said. "I was not in it for the longest time."

By the end of Season 7, Micah and Veronica broke up after he and his brother, Isaac Plath, got in a physical fight amid ongoing tension between Veronica and his family.

‘Murphy Brown’ Star Jessie Jones Dead at 75

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 9:36pm

Jessie Jones, an actress known for her roles on Murphy Brown, Newhart and more popular TV shows, has died. She was 75.

Jones’ writing partner Jamie Wooten confirmed to Deadline on Tuesday, March 31, that she died on March 20 in Washington, D.C., following a long illness.

Jones was a veteran character TV actor who made a memorable appearance on the season 3 premiere of Murphy Brown in September 1990. In the episode titled “The 390th Broadcast,” Jones portrayed Mrs. Betty Hooley, a random woman whom the titular TV host (Candice Bergen) chose to interview about the difficulties American families were facing at the time. However, the idea backfired when Hooley expressed her bigotry on air, leading to a scolding from Murphy.

Beyond Murphy Brown, Jones guest-starred on several other hit TV shows throughout her acting career, including Newhart in 1989, Night Court, Designing Women and Perfect Strangers in 1990, Who’s the Boss? in 1991, Grace Under Fire in 1995, Caroline in the City and Weird Science in 1996, Melrose Place and Unhappily Ever After in 1997, You’re the One in 1998, Judging Amy in 2004 and Cold Case in 2005. She also had a recurring role on the ABC children’s series Fudge, appearing in four episodes in 1995.

Jones was a frequent cast member in TV movies such as 1989’s Everybody’s Baby: The Rescue of Jessica McClure, 1990’s Jury Duty: The Comedy, 1990’s Voices Within: The Lives of Truddi Chase, 1991’s Wife, Mother, Murderer, 1991’s Backfield in Motion, 1993’s For Their Own Good, 1993’s The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom, 1993’s Caught in the Act, 1995’s My Brother’s Keeper and 1999’s Border Line.

As for her film credits, Jones had small parts in 1991’s Switch and 1993’s Ed and His Dead Mother.

After her last onscreen acting role in 2005, Jones ventured into playwriting, with Dearly Departed becoming one of her most successful productions. The comedy premiered Off Broadway before making its way to U.S. regional and community stages. Jones co-wrote the screenplay for the 2001 film adaptation of the play, which was called Kingdom Come and starred LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Vivica A. Fox, Anthony Anderson, Toni Braxton, Whoopi Goldberg, Loretta Devine and Darius McCrary.

Jones co-wrote more than two dozen Southern comedy plays with her writing partners Wooten and Nicholas Hope, including The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, The Red Velvet Cake War, Christmas Belles and The Savannah Sipping Society. Their productions have been performed in every U.S. state and more than 25 countries, where they were translated into other languages. According to Wooten, Jones was the most-produced female American playwright.

Jones is survived by sisters Ellen and Laura, brother-in-law Jim McCarthy, niece Margaret McCarthy and nephews Tommy McCarthy, Todd Hyso and Paul Hyso as well as her grand-nieces and cousins.

'Welcome to Plathville': Is Ethan Plath Still Dating Teegan Nichols?

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 9:30pm

Welcome to Plathville star Ethan Plathintroduced a new girlfriend, Teegan Nichols, in Season 7 of the TLC series — but are Ethan and Teegan still dating in Season 8 and beyond?

On Tuesday, March 31, the Season 8 premiere of Welcome to Plathville aired on TLC. Ethan revealed during the first half of the episode that he and Teegan had gone their separate ways.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

"Me and Teegan broke up," he told producers. "I knew that she was tired of long distance. And I kept telling her that I would move to Wisconsin, and I never did. You can only tell someone so many times, 'I'm going to do this,' and then you don't, that it just doesn't mean anything."

Additionally, Ethan revealed that he and his wife, Olivia Plath — who exited the show after Season 7 — still weren't officially divorced yet.

"That's been extremely frustrating for me in the last year," he admitted. "And it definitely has affected me and Teegan. I've had an attorney for over a year now, and Olivia has ignored him, said, 'I'm out of the country, I'll get back to you whenever I'm home.' And then weeks later, when she comes back, never does anything. So then he has to start over ... and nothing ever has happened."

Despite the hold-up in finalizing his divorce from Olivia, Ethan said he hasn't completely ruled out reconnecting with Teegan.

"Sometimes in life, you're lucky enough to meet somebody that you actually, truly connect with. And not just on a physical level, but in a spiritual, emotional level," he explained. "And that was very much true with me and Teegan. It's hard to move on. I feel like I can't walk away and spend the rest of my life wondering if I could have saved it."

Ethan concluded, "I really, truly feel like there's unfinished business." It's unclear, as of writing, whether Ethan and Teegan reconnected or are still split in real time.

Olivia and Ethan married in 2018, when they were both 20. In 2023, they announced their split after five years of marriage.

Queen Elizabeth Was 'Furious' She Wasn't at Prince Philip's Side When He Died

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 9:17pm

Queen Elizabeth II was not with Prince Philip in his final moments, according to a new biography about the monarch.

Royal biographer Hugo Vickers shares insights into Elizabeth’s life from close royal insiders in his upcoming book, Queen Elizabeth II, coming out in April. The biography also delves into Philip’s final days before his 2021 death, reporting that Elizabeth was not present the day he died.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s health began declining in 2013 when he was reportedly diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer, and in the following years, he had multiple heart procedures that impacted his health. He officially retired from his royal duties in August 2017, and "the Queen let the Duke do exactly as he pleased,” Vickers writes, per People.

Philip relocated to Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, the secluded five-bedroom farmhouse where he was “happiest.”

During these years, Vickers claims Philip and Elizabeth lived "separate" lives. The Duke enjoyed leisure activities like carriage driving, reading, and painting, while his wife fulfilled her royal duties back at Buckingham Palace.

"From time to time, the Queen went up by train to Norfolk to stay the weekend. Once again, she gave him a loose rein,” Vickers says.

Things changed when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Elizabeth relocated to Windsor Castle from Buckingham Palace and had Philip leave Wood Farm to join her. The elderly couple “entered strict isolation,” Vickers shares, adding their setup was “jokingly nicknamed HMS Bubble, by the Master of the Household, Tony Johnstone-Burt.”

“Nobody was allowed to enter the Upper Ward of the castle, and there were no ladies-in-waiting in attendance,” details Vickers, explaining that Elizabeth and Philip lived in just four rooms of the castle and were taken care of by a “skeleton staff, 22 in total.” The pair lived in isolation together for the remainder of the year, even skipping Christmas at Sandringham with other royal family members.

Philip was in and out of the hospital in early 2021, and he reportedly nearly died during heart surgery in March of that year. His inner circle also began to notice that his short-term memory was deteriorating, claims Vickers.

"He did not want to reach his 100th birthday, particularly disliking the fuss attendant at such events," according to the biography.

The night before he died, Vickers says Philip "gave his nurses the slip, shuffled along the corridor on his Zimmer frame (walker), helped himself to a beer and drank it in the Oak Room. The following morning, he got up, had a bath, said he did not feel well, and quietly slipped away."

Philip died on April 9, 2021, two months before his 100th birthday. He and Elizabeth had been married more than 73 years, the longest of any British royal couple in history. Sadly, she never had the opportunity to say her final farewell to her longtime companion.

"She took the line, I was told, that she was ‘absolutely furious that, as so often in life, he left without saying goodbye,’” Vickers writes.

Philip died at Windsor Castle three weeks after being discharged from the hospital. His passing was a quiet affair, which he would have probably appreciated.

"Due to COVID rules, the number of mourners at Philip's funeral was restricted to 30,” says Vickers. “Nothing would have delighted the Duke more than having such a pared-down farewell."

Elizabeth mourned her husband and sat alone in St. George's Chapel for the funeral service.

Author Gyles Brandreth wrote more details about the monarch’s whereabouts at the time of Philip’s death in his book, Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait. Brandreth claimed Philip passed quickly, and there wasn’t enough time to get Elizabeth to his bedside.

"When he came back [from the bath], he said he felt a little faint and wanted help getting back into bed," the author wrote, per Daily Mirror. "The nurse called the Duke's valet and the Queen's page, Paul Whybrew, for help — and he died before the Queen could be called."

"The Queen wasn't yet up," said the book, noting Her Majesty was asleep in a separate room. "And she wasn't called until after a doctor had come and pronounced the Duke dead."
