Who Won 'Jeopardy' Today? (March 19, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer
There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.
Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.
Jamie Ding officially hits rarified air on Jeopardy!: The five-timers club. He picked up his fifth win, meaning he's officially reached the one-week mark since he kicked off his historic streak.
Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Jordie Hayne WareJordie Hayne Ware is a priest from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada.
Jason SnellJason Snell is a journalist and podcaster. He lives in Mill Valley, California.
Jamie DingJamie Ding is a bureaucrat and law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Going into today, he had won four straight games, winning $106,601.
What was Final Jeopardy today?Final Jeopardy today was in the category "Composers."
The clue: In the 1860s he composed one of his most famous pieces to celebrate the birth of longtime friend Bertha Haber's second son.
The answer: What is Johannes Brahms?
Jordan had taken a surprisingly early lead in the game, while Jamie was able to make up for it in Double Jeopardy. Still, that left the reigning champ with a lead of less than $8,000 going into Final Jeopardy. But, when he answered correctly, while the other two guessed wrong, he locked up another succinct victory. He took home $25,201, bringing his total winnings so far to $131,802.

Reality TV Star Found Dead in Thailand Drainage Ditch
Reality TV alum Jordan Wright has died. He was 33 years old.Â
Known from ITV's The Only Way Is Essex and MTV's Ex on the Beach, Wright was reportedly found at 12:30 p.m. local time last Saturday, March 14. According to the Daily Mail, the British TV personality was discovered lying face down in a puddle of water in a drainage canal by a Burmese worker. Â
View this post on InstagramWearing a gray T-shirt and black pants, Wright was barefoot and located about a 20-minute walk from his hotel near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket. On his person, he had a hotel key card for COCO Phuket Bangtao. Authorities found his phone at a bank nearby.
Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong of the Choeng Thale district station confirmed with hotel staff where Wright was staying. The staff told the officer Wright did not check out on March 13 when he was supposed to. He also confirmed there were âno signs of forced entry or other irregularitiesâ to Wright's hotel room.
âCCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area,â he added. âHis movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered.â
Authorities are waiting for autopsy results from Vachira Phuket Hospital âto determine whether drugs were present in his system.â
Police Lieutenant ColonelSuthirak Chuthong of the Choeng Thale Police Station said, âThe case remains under investigation while we wait for the official autopsy results,â he added, noting they cannot yet release a cause of death.
Hailing from Basildon, Essex, Wright joined ITVâs TOWIE in 2018 and appeared on MTVâs 2017 season of Ex on the Beach. He was a firefighter off the screen but was later reportedly fired from the ITV series amid allegations of taking paid sick leave from the London Fire Brigade to film the episodes. He then quietly quit TV and stuck with firefighting before pursuing a career in financial investment.
Tributes from fellow reality stars and influencers have been filling his Instagram feed. His last post to the social media platform, dated March 6, shows a picture of Wright holding a glass of wine in an infinity pool (see above).

Food Network Star Reveals She âAlmost Cut My Finger Offâ in Kitchen Accident After Show Cancellation
Food Network star Katie Lee suffered her first cooking injury with a knife just months after her show ended.
The Kitchen alum, 44, shared in a Wednesday, March 18, Instagram Story video that she âalmost cut [her] finger offâ during filming for her new YouTube cooking series, Itâs Not Complicated. Â
âIn all my years of cooking, I have never cut myself. I sliced through my fingernailâlike, cut my fingernail off, basicallyâwhile filming a new episode of Itâs Not Complicated. So, lovely,â she explained. âBut itâs a good reminder for you guys to watch [the show].â
In the clip, Lee wrapped the affected finger in a paper towel and treated the injury with a bag of ice.
She subsequently posted an Instagram Story photo of her bandaged finger, writing, âOne day, Iâll have a fingernail againâŠâ
Courtesy Katie Lee/Instagram
The following day, Lee offered an update on her condition.
âI will live. I will survive,â she told fans in an Instagram Story video, once again showing her bandaged finger. âBut Iâm definitely gonna take the sympathy between now and when it gets better.â
Lee previously co-hosted The Kitchen from January 2014 to December 2025, helming the Food Network talk show alongside Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro and Geoffrey Zakarian. After the series was canceled, Lee opened up about her reaction to the news.
âI have been on The Kitchen on Food Network for the last, gosh, almost 12 years, and itâs time for The Kitchen to close,â she said during an October 2025 episode of her âAll on the Tableâ podcast. âTo be perfectly honest, Iâm sad.â
âI love the show so much. It has changed my life,â she added. âI love my co-hosts so much. Theyâre like my family. And I love all of our crew behind the scenes.â
Lee went on to thank fans for tuning in over the years.
âItâs been so wonderful to be in your homes and on your TVs,â she noted. âWhen I hear people tell me that they made one of my recipes for their Thanksgiving or their holiday table or just a Tuesday night dinner, I truly feel so honored.â
At the time, a fan suggested that Lee pursue other avenues to continue sharing her cooking expertise with her audience, writing, âWhy donât you and your co-hosts pitch a similar show to a streaming service or do YouTube?â
Two months after The Kitchen ended, Lee announced her YouTube cooking series, Itâs Not Complicated.
âIâm so excited to invite you into our home. [Husband Ryan Biegel] filmed me, along with the help of a few of our friends,â she wrote via Instagram in February. âWeâd love to know what you think, and what you want to see more (or less) of, and the types of recipes you would like. We hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it.â
Later that month when Itâs Not Complicated premiered, Lee reflected on her transition from The Kitchen to her new show.
âAfter The Kitchen, I was not sure what would be next in my career, and I am so excited for this next chapter. I truly appreciate all of your support over the years and I hope you love this show!â she captioned an Instagram post at the time. âLet me know what you want to see more (or less) of, as we are filming more.â
ABC Officially Cancels Taylor Frankie Paulâs âBacheloretteâ Season
ABC has officially canceled Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season amid allegations of domestic violence against her.
Paul's season was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. On Thursday, Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in 2023.
In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, âIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.â
RELATED: âBacheloretteâ Update: Will ABC Cancel Taylor Frankie Paulâs Season After New Investigation?
In 2023, Paul was arrested for alleged domestic violence following an argument with Mortensen. She was given misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief, and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, after she was accused of throwing a chair at Mortensen that hit her daughter.
Paul ultimately pleaded guilty to a single charge of aggravated assault, and the domestic violence charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. She is currently serving a 3-year probation.
A video obtained by TMZ on Thursday, Mar. 19 shows the incident that led to those charges. In the clip, Paul is seen hitting Mortensen, putting him in a headlock, and trying to kick him as he records her actions.Â
âThis is called physical abuse,â Mortensen said while filming the altercation.Â
At one point, Paul is seen throwing metal bar stools at Mortensen while her daughter, now 8, was present in the room. The child can be heard crying as Paul and Mortensen are arguing, with Mortensen screaming âyour daughter is sitting right thereâ as Paul throws the chairs.
According to TMZ, the police report notes the 5-year-old girl was hit and later had a âgoose egg on her head.â
RELATED: Taylor Frankie Paul Seen Throwing Chairs at Dakota Mortensen in Leaked 2023 Video
A spokesperson for Paul responded to the leaked video by issuing a statement to People.
âItâs sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child,â the statement read. âReleasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their sonâs birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior. Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show, and from their own experiences.â
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department also confirmed to People this week that there is an open âdomestic assault investigationâ regarding Paul and Mortensen.
The spokesperson confirmed âallegations have been made in both directionsâ and âcontact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,â but declined to share any further details.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of domestic violence, help is available 24 hours a day through the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Says the 'Buffy' Reboot Pilot Should Never Be Released
Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans were hopeful when a reboot with Sarah Michelle Gellarattached was announced. Upon news of Hulu axing the reboot, Gellar reveals she hopes the filmed pilot episode never sees the light of day.
The actor was heavily involved in bringing back the famed teen vampire series alongside Oscar-nominated director Chloé Zhao, with newcomer Ryan Kiera Armstrong in the leading role as the new slayer. Gellar learned at the SXSW Film & TV festival that Hulu wasn't going forward with the reboot, despite having filmed a pilot.
Speaking with Page Sixâs P6 Radio, the hosts admitted they hope the pilot gets leaked for fans to see what could have been. The Buffy star disagrees, saying it would have only caused a stir due to it being unfinished and not a perfect representation of what they wanted.
"I actually hope it doesnât," she said. "Because then everyoneâs going to have an opinion on this and that, and pilots are not finished. It wasnât done, right? Itâs not like we did a season and finished it and then they shelved it. Itâs not like when they made Batgirl the movie, right, and then didnât show it."

Gellar goes on to add that the pilot was made on purpose to test certain storylines and new character introductions. She admits it's in an effort to "learn from it" and "there's things to fix." Variety reported that the pilot footage shows that Gellar's original character barely appears, and instead features the new slayer and characters.
"Usually, a pilot doesnât air in its entirety ever," she said. "Itâs a learning tool. I mean, the original Buffy pilot was nothing to do with the show. It was a different Willow, I mean, itâs a very different show. But those are learning tools, and thatâs what a pilot is."
TheI Know What You Did Last Summer star also chimes in that the script that was circulating online is "unfortunate" because it's not real. She urges fans not to read everything that appears online because "you're not getting our vision." Gellar broke the news of Hulu's passing on the series through an Instagram video.
New Travel Alert Would Make Me Think Twice About Visiting This Popular Tourist Destination Any Time Soon
Some destinations in the world seem almost too good to be true. Ancient sites, beautiful coastlines, vibrant food scenes, and the kind of deep cultural layers that keep you planning your next trip before youâve even left. Turkey is one of those places for many travelers. Istanbulâs storied skyline, the fairyâtale landscapes of Cappadocia, or the turquoise waters of the Turkish Riviera are memories travelers treasure.
But a recent U.S. Department of State Level 4 âDo Not Travelâ warning for parts of southeastern Turkey issued due to growing tensions in the region has made me and many others pause and reconsider our travel plans. This alert specifically flags areas close to the Syrian border, where the risks of violence and unrest are higher than in the rest of the country. For people like me, who love the idea of wandering through ancient bazaars and coastal towns, it brings a moment of hesitation. Is it worth the risk?
Fuel your wanderlust with our top travel storiesâjoin our newsletter today.
Where the Risk Is and Where It IsnâtWhen the travel alert came out, it did not say all of Turkey is offâlimits. Most major tourist hubs, Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, and the coastal regions, remain popular and continue to operate as usual, with bustling markets, worldâclass hotels, and easy transportation links.
âTurkey remains a key, reliable and highâvalue destination for the UK and Irish markets in 2026 and beyond,â tourism officials said in a joint statement reassuring travelers that major resorts, hotels, and attractions are operating normally.
Instead, the warning focuses on specific regions in the southeast close to the Syrian border, where officials have flagged increased threats of violence and conflict spillover. Specifically these provinces were flagged:
- Adana
- Adıyaman
- Batman
- Bingöl
- Bitlis
- Diyarbakır
- ElazıÄ
- Gaziantep
- Hakkari
- Hatay
- İçel
- Kilis
- KahramanmaraĆ
- Malatya
- Mardin
- MuĆ
- Osmaniye
- Siirt
- Ćanlıurfa
- Ćırnak
- Tunceli
- Van
That area is far from the scenic Aegean beaches and UNESCO World Heritage sites most visitors plan their trips around.

On the ground, many travelers report that life in central and western parts of the country feels normal, with little direct impact from geopolitical tensions. Yet governments issue these advisories because even isolated incidents, like the interception of a missile in Turkish airspace confirmed by the Turkish Defense Ministry, can change circumstances rapidly.
For the cautious traveler, understanding exactly where the advisory applies is critical. It lets you enjoy vibrant cities like Istanbul or seaside escapes in Antalya while steering clear of higherârisk areas.
Why Governments Warn and What It Means for Your TripTravel advisories like this one are not issued lightly. Governments consider threats such as political unrest, terrorism, and armed conflict when advising their citizens. In Turkeyâs case, rising tensions in the wider Middle East, particularly incidents involving neighboring countries, have prompted several countries to tighten guidance or warn travelers about specific zones.
Advisories of this nature can affect travelers in tangible ways:
- Travel insurance may be voided in areas under a âDo Not Travelâ alert. Many policies do not cover medical emergencies or evacuations in flagged zones.
- Consular support may be limited if you run into trouble, especially where governments are cautioning against travel.
- Local enforcement and security screening can be more stringent near sensitive borders, potentially disrupting travel plans.
Despite that, tourism ministries in Turkey continue to reassure visitors that the majority of the country remains safe for travel with standard precautions, and that major airports and resorts are unaffected by the advisory.
Don't miss a beatâsubscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.
Tips for Travelers Considering or Planning a TripIf you have flights or hotel bookings already, you might wonder what to do next. Visit your governmentâs official travel advisory page or sign up for notifications. This is the most reliable, upâtoâdate source for safety information. Suggested definitions of advisory levels show how the U.S. categorizes risks from âexercise normal precautionsâ to âdo not travel.â
If you do visit Turkey, plan your itinerary around the tourist regions and historical centers that remain widely considered safe, and avoid areas near the Syrian border or other high-risk zones. Make sure your travel insurance covers trip changes, cancellations, and medical care for your destinations. Policies vary, and travel alerts like this one can affect coverage eligibility.
Global events can shift quickly. Keep your travel date flexible if possible and monitor local news and official guidance leading up to your trip. Iâve learned that adaptable plans give peace of mind and usually lead to better travel experiences overall.
Alternatives to Turkey If You Decide to WaitDeciding not to travel right now does not mean shelving your wanderlust altogether. You might explore nearby alternatives that offer similar experiences without the current travel warnings. Countries like Greece, Cyprus, or Italy offer rich history, Mediterranean charm, and culinary delights.
Or, if you still dream of Turkish landscapes, consider booking for a later travel season after more clarity on geopolitical developments. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you plan with patience.
Final Thoughts on Traveling to Turkey SafelyTravel advisories are not meant to scare you; they are meant to inform you. For me, the recent alert about Turkey was a reminder that even the most alluring destinations come with real-world complexities. With thoughtful planning, awareness of specific risks, and a little flexibility, you can choose an experience that feels both safe and rewarding.âŻ
Just as any seasoned traveler knows, part of the journey is deciding when and where to go with both excitement and wisdom.

Returning to menus nationwide is the viral Mountain Dew Baja Blast Dirty Soda, and now that the beverage is permanent, several more customizable varieties are coming along with it. The company also announced on Thursday that it's releasing a new Pink Passionfruit Refresca (which can also be enjoyed as a Freeze) at Taco Bell locations across the country, and bringing back the fan-favorite Confetti Cookie Chiller, but only for a limited time.

- Pepsi Dirty Soda - Pepsi fountain soda with Taco Bell's Sweet Vanilla Cream.

Heading out to Taco Bell locations across the country is a "bright" new sip, the Pink Passionfruit Refresca (also available as a Freeze). It's described by the brand as a sweet pink passionfruit frozen slushy with juicy flavors of pineapple and mixed with real freezeâdried strawberry fruit pieces. It will be available as a 16-ounce (priced at $3.99) or 20-ounce (about $4.19) beverage (prices may vary).

How Long Does It Take To Lower Cholesterol? Cardiologists Explain the Real Timeline
High LDL cholesterol can sneak up on you. It happens slowly over time and causes no symptoms whatsoever. According to a study published in JAMA Cardiology, 42.7% of U.S. adults with high LDL cholesterol donât know they have it. When high cholesterol is undetected and untreated, it can be dangerous. High cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease, stroke and peripheral vascular disease.   Â
According to Dr. Melissa Tracy, MD, a cardiologist and the director of cardiac rehab at Rush University System for Health in Chicago, one of the primary causes of high cholesterol is a diet consisting primarily of fast foods and ultra-processed foods.Â
Related: Cardiologists Are Begging People To Stop Ignoring This Important Cholesterol Number
âThe American diet is overburdened with sources of cholesterol. When we are looking for a quick, easy meal, we typically resort to fast food. Fast food, with the processed meats and French fries, are loaded with cholesterol and fat,â she says. Besides processed meats and fried foods, Dr. Tracy notes that other foods that can raise cholesterol when eaten regularly are processed desserts, butter and cheese.Â
Itâs not just an unhealthy diet that can cause high LDL cholesterol. Dr. Robert Burke, MD, FACC, a cardiologist with Banner Health in Scottsdale, Arizona, says that high LDL cholesterol can also be genetic, which is called familial hypercholesterolemia. This health condition must be managed through medication; maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle habits is not enough.
If you have high cholesterol, regardless of the reason, lowering it is crucial to protecting your health. How long does it take? Even though high cholesterol is years in the making, you can lower it faster than you probably think.
đ©șSIGN UP for tips to stay healthy & fit with the top moves, clean eats, health trends & more delivered right to your inbox twice a weekđ
How Long It Takes To Lower LDL Cholesterol With Healthy Diet and Lifestyle HabitsBoth cardiologists say that the first step in lowering LDL cholesterol is through diet and exercise.
âActivity is absolutely the most essential [action] we can take. We have to be moving,â Dr. Burke says, explaining that the more you move throughout the day, the healthier you will be.
Dr. Tracy adds to this, saying, âExercising and losing weight are the most reliable, holistic ways of lowering cholesterol. Exercise will reduce total cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL. It will also modestly increase HDL, which is our protective cholesterol.âÂ
If you want to create an exercise routine that can help lower your cholesterol, a great place to start is with the American Heart Associationâs guidelines. These guidelines recommend getting at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of heart-pumping physical activity a week, which comes out to about 25 minutes a day.
Remember how Dr. Tracy said that an unhealthy diet is one of the major drivers of high cholesterol? This also means that diet can be a powerful way to reduce cholesterol. If you have high cholesterol, Dr. Burke recommends following the Mediterranean diet or DASH diet, two eating plans that are scientifically shown to reduce LDL cholesterol. Both of these eating plans emphasize eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, fish and poultry while minimizing ultra-processed foods high in refined carbs, sugar and sodium.
Letâs say you spent years eating primarily fast food and ultra-processed foods and you rarely exercised, which resulted in high cholesterol. How quickly can you lower it if you adopt healthier diet and lifestyle habits? Dr. Tracy says that many people see a change in their cholesterol in about six months.
That said, she emphasizes that implementing healthier habits should be done gradually. âMany of the fad weight loss programs are not sustainable, so patients will do them for a very short period of time and then relapse back to their unhealthy patterns."
Related: Want To Lower Your Cholesterol? Cardiologists Say This Is the Best Diet To Follow
Dr. Burke also says that six months is a good amount of time to recheck lipid panels because it allows for diet and lifestyle changes to happen gradually and for new habits to stay firmly in place, versus only being followed for a few weeks.
When Is Medication Considered? For some people with high LDL cholesterol, their cardiologist will recommend taking a cholesterol-lowering drug, such as statins. Dr. Tracy notes that statins are considered if someone has had a heart attack, stroke, a stent to their coronary artery or bypass surgery. She explains that they are often considered if someone has type 2 diabetes or if they have an elevated coronary calcium score. If someone has familial hypercholesterolemia, which is high cholesterol caused by genetics, she says this is another time when medication is often considered.
Both doctors emphasize that medication is not a replacement for adopting healthy diet and lifestyle habits. Medication works best alongside healthy habits. With this in mind, how long does it take to lower cholesterol when taking a cholesterol-lowering medication as well as having healthy diet and exercise habits in place?Â
How Long Does It Take To Lower Cholesterol With Medication?Dr. Burke explains that noticeable changes in cholesterol levels can be seen as quickly as two weeks. Though cholesterol-lowering medication can work this fast, both cardiologists say they wait roughly six weeks to recheck lipid panels.
Dr. Tracy explains that six weeks allows for enough time to see if the medication is working or if the dose or drug needs to be changed. She says that this is also enough time to make sure that the medication is not negatively impacting the liver or muscles, which can be a side effect of cholesterol-lowering medications. She adds that if any changes to the dose or drug need to be made, she makes them and then checks the labs again six weeks later.Â
What both cardiologists want everyone with high cholesterol to know is that lowering it is possibleâand it can happen faster than you think. Lowering your cholesterol will greatly reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Remember, high cholesterol can be asymptomatic, so if you arenât sure whether you have it or not, be sure to have your doctor do a lipid panel at your next appointment to check. Knowing your numbers is the first step in being proactive about your heart health.Â

1974 Hit Ranked Among Best âCountry Rock Songsâ of All Time Became a No. 1 Breakup Anthem
In 1974, Linda Ronstadt delivered one of the most powerful breakup songs of the decade.
Her version of "You're No Good" became a massive success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100â the only chart-topper of her career. The track has since been recognized among the greatest country rock songs of all time, including by Ultimate Classic Rock.
Originally written by Clint Ballard Jr., "You're No Good" had been recorded years earlier by artists including Betty Everett and Dee Dee Warwick. But, Ronstadt's version gave the song new life, blending rock, country and pop influences into a fresh, radio-friendly sound.
The track opened her breakthrough album Heart Like a Wheel, which became a defining release of the country rock era. Backed by a tight, roots-driven band, Ronstadt's take swapped the original's R&B feel for a more polished, yet earthy, arrangement, helping it connect with a wider audience.
"You're No Good" also marked a turning point in Ronstadt's career. While she had already built a following, the song's success propelled her into mainstream stardom and established her as one of the most versatile and influential voices of the 1970s.
In 1980, HBO, which was in its infancy at the time, asked Ronstadt to perform a live concert special, and in 2019 she released a 12-track collection of songs from that one night-only performance. Though the master tapes were once thought to be lost they were later recovered, and including among them was the live version of "You're No Good."
In an interview with Rolling Stone Country, Ronstadt revealed what comes to mind when thinks about that now iconic show. "I just remember it was really, really hot. It was too hot for humans. It was probably 110 degrees onstage and we were suffering from that. I grew up in the desert so I know heat. We had to keep stopping to cool off. There was a great audience; they didnât have as much heat because they didnât have any lights on them. They were pretty warm, too, but they were very good-natured."
With its biting lyrics and confident delivery, the song captured the emotional clarity of walking away from a toxic relationship, something that continues to resonate with listeners decades later.
In 2013, Ronstadt was diagnoses with Parkinson's disease, more specifically Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, which has tragically claimed her ability to singâ at least out loud. "I can sing in my brain,â she told TODAY in 2022. "It's not quite the same. Sometimes, I choose the song, and sometimes my brain chooses the song."
More than 50 years on, "Youâre No Good" remains a defining breakup anthem and a cornerstone of Linda Ronstadt's enduring legacy.

Simon Cowell Doesnât Have a Phone, but Now His 12-Year-Old Son Does
The America's Got Talent judge famously ditched his smartphone years ago. But, according to a recent Instagram post, Simon Cowellâs son just got one of his own. Cowellâs fiancĂ©e and mother to their 12-year-old son, Eric, Lauren Silverman, recently revealed the news in an honest parenting post.Â
View this post on Instagram Why doesnât Simon Cowell have a phone? The former American Idolstar got real with Steven Bartlett on his podcast âThe Diary of A CEOâ in a 2024 interview. Cowell admitted, âIt sits in ther car. Nine times out of 10, Iâll use somebody elseâs phone. Because I donât even know how to work it anymore. I hate them so much because, Iâll tell you why, I think theyâre boring.â
He went on to add, âFor me, itâs like having a toaster with you all the time⊠occasionally a telephone call is nice, but not all the time. Not being on it for three or four months a year, I was happierâŠwhen it was time to turn my phone back on, I started to dread it. I donât use 99% of the things on itâŠI actually really like talking with people.â

⏠original sound - The Diary Of A CEO Why does Simon Cowellâs son have a phone? If Cowell is so against cellphones, why does his 12-year-old now have one? As most parents know, it isnât easy to raise a child in a totally tech-free environment. Your kiddo clamors for a phone just because all their friends have one. And what are you left to do? Cave? Hold out? Well, for a while, the Cowells didnât give in. But when they finally decided to give their son a phone, the pair imposed some pretty strict rules.
Mom, Lauren, recently posted a pic of Eric smiling and holding his brand-new smartphone. The photo reads, âI changed my mind about my 12-year-old son having a phoneâŠBut I still said no to social media. Whether we like it or not, texting has become a part of childhood. Plans are made there. Jokes are shared there. Friendships often happen there.â And we couldnât agree more.Â
Silverman did go on to note, âEric had an iPad at home with strict parental controls, but I really believed the longer we could delay smartphones, the better.âÂ
So what changed? According to Silvermanâs post, âRecently I discovered Eric had downloaded Snapchat on my phoneâŠThat moment really made me stop and think about what the right approach should be.â She also explains that instead of fighting with her son about phones, they talked about it. Thatâs when she realized he didn't want to use social media; he just wanted to communicate with his friends.Â
What rules do the Cowells have for smartphone use?The coupleâs non-negotiable phone rules include, âNo phones in his room at bedtime. No phones at the table. No phones during family time.â A major round of applause goes out to the Cowell family and the amazing way these famous parents handled a very common concern. While fans of AGT may not agree with everything Simon says, his stance on smartphones is one every parent can agree with.Â
Virginia Couple Gives Twins Unique Southern Names Inspired by Stunning View From Tennessee Hospital Room
Many parents are eager to tell you about their child's name, especially when they are named after a beloved family member or a favorite character (my oldest is named after the mom from The Shining). Every once in a while you will meet a parent who shares an even deeper story about their child's name, like how they were given the moniker as a nod to their very own birth story.
That's what happened when a couple welcomed their twin boys in a hospital another state away near the University of Tennessee, after an unexpected medical test turned into a story of loss and survival. Keep reading to learn more about this inspiring story.
View this post on Instagram A Virginia Couple Welcomed Preemie Twins While Out of TownKaitlin Carver and her husband traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee while she was 28 weeks pregnant with twin boys. While Carver had been feeling great during her pregnancy, according to Today, she was told to travel to Knoxville to see a specialist after it was discovered that one of her twins might have a cleft lip. The night before the consultation everything changed, and her seemingly uncomplicated pregnancy took a turn for the worse when the mother-to-be's water broke.
Located almost 100 miles away from her OBGYN and her support system, the couple suddenly found themselves alone in the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, where they were told that one of the twins' amniotic sacs had ruptured. âThey said, âIt looks like youâre going to be here with us for a while, weâd like to get you to 34 weeks,ââ she said in an interview with Today.

However, that was just the beginning of the couple's story, because her husband received a call a few weeks later letting him know that his father had suffered a massive stroke, and he was needed back at home, which is where he went. All of this happened when the couple was at their most vulnerable, so far from home, and scared about what was going to happen with their babies. However, the pair said they found an unlikely source of comfort in the nurses and doctors at the medical center. âThe staff treated us like family,â the husband recalled.
View this post on InstagramSadly, after her husband left to visit his father, it became clear the twins weren't going to make it to the 34-week mark, and he was put in an impossible situation where he had to say his final goodbye to his father before returning to his wife. While the new dad didn't make it in time to watch the miracle of birth, he was there in time to help his wife decide what to name the twins, which is when the couple told Today that they felt inspired by everything they'd gone through.
Ultimately, they landed on the name Knox as a nod to the location where the new family began, and Neyland, the name of the University of Tennessee's stadium, where the Carver's late father had played football.
âItâs always going to be a reminder,â the proud papa said of the decision, âof where they started and where they come from.â

The University of Tennessee is a Great Place to VisitWhile I absolutely adore a baby name with meaning, it's no surprise that the family were so inspired to choose these names. The area around the University of Tennessee is absolutely stunning, and even under non-life changing scenarios, it would be one to draw inspiration from.
According to the Knoxville visitor's guide, travelers here have no shortage of things to doduring their stay, including:
- Catching a University of Tennessee game at Neyland Stadium (I'm sure the Carver kids will spend lots of time here when they're older)
- Tour the McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture, the free Smithsonian affiliate has a rotating list of exhibits that are sure to offer something for everyone
- Stroll some of the many green spaces, including the World's Fair Park and the pedestrian footbridge of Clinch Avenue
- Boating enthusiasts can even catch a ride on the Star of Knoxville Tennessee Riverboat cruise, which offers a new way to view the region
While I'm sure this was a terrifying time for the Carver family, it's nice to know that they do have fond memories of the people they met and the kindness they were shown during their lowest moments, highlighting just the type of people that visitors to the area can expect to run into when they travel here.
Iconic Rock Guitarist Hospitalized During Global Tour
An iconic rock guitarist has been hospitalized while on tour.
Stevie Young, who plays rhythm guitar for AC/DC, was admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to a spokesperson for the band (via Reuters).
âOut of an abundance of caution, he was admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing a full battery of tests,â the spokesperson said.
The 69-year-old musician is reportedly in good spirits as he undergoes evaluation.
âStevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday,â the statement continued.
AC/DC is currently in South America as part of their Power Up tour, with scheduled performances at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires on March 23, 27 and 31.
The Buenos Aires shows are expected to draw massive crowds, as the band has long enjoyed a particularly passionate fan base in Argentina. Their previous performances in the country have become the stuff of rock legend, with stadiums packed wall-to-wall with fans singing along to every word.
The band had performed just days earlier in Santiago, Chile, making Youngâs hospitalization a sudden development in the middle of a busy tour schedule.
Young officially joined AC/DC in 2014, stepping in for his uncle Malcolm Young, one of the bandâs co-founders, who retired due to dementia. He had previously filled in for Malcolm during the bandâs 1988 tour, making him a familiar presence to longtime fans even before becoming a full-time member.
Over the decades, AC/DC has weathered a number of challenges, including lineup changes and health issues, while continuing to tour and release music. The bandâs resilience has become a defining part of its legacy.
Despite the current health scare, the latest update suggests optimism that Young could return to the stage soon, as the band prepares for its next run of shows.
Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio Reunite in Martin Scorsese's New Horror Thriller
Roughly five years after their previous on-screen collaboration, Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio are officially set to reunite on Martin Scorsese's new horror movie, What Happens at Night.
The announcement comes via Variety, who reported several key details about the upcoming film, including its main plot line and which other cast and crew are currently slated to work on the highly anticipated new movie.
Based on the novel of the same name by Peter Cameron, What Happens at Night follows an American couple as they venture to an isolated town in Europe in the hopes of adopting a baby.
âNothing is as it seems in this baffling, frozen world, and the more the couple struggles to claim their baby, the less they seem to know about their marriage, themselves and life itself," the book's official synopsis reads.
Previously, DiCaprio and Lawrence worked opposite one another in 2021 satirical apocalypse movie, Don't Look Up, playing a pair of reluctant scientists who discover a massive meteor is plummeting towards Earth.
While DiCaprio has worked with Scorsese a total of six times on such beloved movies as The Aviator, Gangs of New York, The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon, the new film marks the first time Lawrence has worked alongside the Oscar-winning Goodfellas director.
Interestingly, during a conversation for Varietyâs âActors on Actors,â DiCaprio told Lawrence what she might expect working with Scorsese for the first time.
âItâs a great thing, and heâs going to give you a lot of film references,â DiCaprio said at the time. âThey usually come in the form of a DVD. And if you donât have a DVD player, get one⊠heâll have screenings sometimes for just one sequence in a movie."
"If thereâs something that he wants you to capture from an old film or the pacing of something, you might have a screening of a whole film just for a specific scene that he wants to see," the Titanic actor continued. "We might see some Japanese ghost films for reference, just to get the tone of it. Youâre going to have an amazing time.â

Coffee Lovers Cereal-ously 'Can't Wait' for This Limited-Edition Pebbles Collab
Hot take: cereal milk is better than the actual cereal, imo. Don't get me wrong, I'm always down to snack on dry Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Frosted Flakes, but adding milk to the equation unlocks a whole new level of flavor. Milk enhances the cereal experience, and it almost becomes a second ingredient if you dare to use your imagination a bit. Instead of just slurping it down after you've finished your third bowl of Lucky Charms, you could use that sweet cinnamon-laced milk to make French toast or creme brulee.Â
You can even swap your standard 2 percent for heavy cream and make cereal milk whipped cream out of that glorious liquid gold. But why stop there? Why not use your leftover cereal milk in your morning coffee? It's pre-sweetened goodness, and most cereal flavors already pair great with a robust cup of Joe anyway, so what's it matter if the two get a little more involved? Of course, for people as over-the-top as ourselves, simply making a latte out of cereal milk with your standard run-of-the-mill coffee somehow still doesn't cut it.Â

What if you could double down on the cereal flavor with cereal-flavored coffee and your leftover cereal milk? Well, now you can. Introducing the limited-edition Cinnamon Pebbles x Bones Coffee Collab: Cereal-ously Cinnamon Coffee. You read that right, friends, coffee just got a cereal-flavored upgrade, and it's so good you can enjoy it on its ownâno milk required. This buzzy, limited-time release is inspired by the iconic '90s cereal, Cinnamon Pebbles, officially becoming a permanent flavor. We'll take it!
Cinnamon Pebbles Cereal-ously Cinnamon Coffee, $17.99 at Bones CoffeeBones Coffee
To celebrate, Pebbles teamed up with Bones Coffee Company to create a medium roast 100 percent arabica coffee that tastes like the last drop of cereal milk lingering at the bottom of the bowl. The pre-ground coffee is made without any artificial flavors, sweeteners or added sugar, and because it's made in small batches, once it's gone, it's gone for good. The collab will officially go on sale on the brand's website on Saturday, March 21, at 7 a.m. Central for $17.99 per bag.Â

Monroe St., Chicago) on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT. Fans will have the chance to enjoy complimentary specialty coffee drinks made with Cereal-ously Cinnamon Coffee, alongside pastries and Cinnamon Pebbles cereal. Yabba dabba do indeed.
Naturally, fans were thrilled at the news, with several saying that they "can't wait" to try the new flavor. The only downside is that, with all the buzz, we suspect this flavor won't stick around for long. On the bright side, Bones Coffee Company has plenty of other delicious limited-edition coffee flavors to choose from, like an Atomic Apple collab with Fallout and the Goofy Goober Sundae with SpongeBob. I fear my coffee obsession is about to get even worse.
1974 Classic That Hit No. 1 Sparked an On-Set Rivalry Between Two Movie Icons
In December 1974, The Towering Inferno soared to the top of the box office. The disaster film about a fire in the worldâs tallest building was a box office No. 1 hit that became the highest-grossing film that month, per Box Office Mojo. Only Blazing Saddles, which was released in February, had a higher box office take that year.
Starring movie icons Steve McQueen and Paul Newman as a fire chief and architect, respectively, The Towering Inferno featured appearances by everyone from Fred Astaire to O.J. Simpson. Even Brady Bunch kid Mike Lookinland had a role in the Academy Award-winning film.
âThe way [producer] Â Irwin [Allen] got all the stars is he paid them a lot of money,â actor Richard Chamberlain once told The Hollywood Reporter. âThe set was like a perpetual A-list party. Iâve never seen so many glittery people in one place.â
Co-star Susan Blakely added, âMcQueen and Newman each got $1 million, the most any actor had ever been paid.â
But while the two main stars received equal pay, they also received equal top billing, a rarity at the time.
Fiery tension between 2 starsAccording to Turner Classic Movies, there were some tensions between McQueen and Newman on the set of The Towering Inferno. The two A-list actors had a famous rivalry, although it was more one-sided on McQueenâs part due to jealous feelings stemming from the last film the two had made together, 1956âs Somebody Up There Likes Me, in which McQueenâs role was uncredited.
For The Towering Inferno, McQueen reportedly demanded equal billing as well as the same number of lines as Newman. The actorsâ names appeared onscreen using diagonal billing, with McQueenâs name first but Newman's name placed higher. Identical salaries and an equal percentage of box office profits were also a part of the deal.
In the bookPaul and Me, Newmanâs longtime friend A.E. Hotchner claimed that when he visited his pal on The Towering Inferno set, he witnessed him calling McQueen a âchicken s--â after the actor demanded to have the last line in the movie regardless of whether it made sense to end the film that way.
The Towering Inferno movie poster. (Photo by LMPC via Getty Images)Â Of the finished film, Newman was happy with it.
âThereâs an escapist kind of film which is very fashionable now. The Towering Inferno is a perfect example,â Newman said in a 1975 interview with The Atlantic. âI knew it was going to achieve what it wanted to achieve, and that is to frighten people.
The actor, best known for prestigious films such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Hustler, Cool Hand Luke, and The Sting, described The Towering Inferno as a âvery distinguished junk movie.â

Paul Newman said Steve McQueen was a âgood guyâFor his part, Newman had no real beef with McQueen after The Towering Inferno wrapped. In an interview with CNNâs Larry King, he described McQueen as a "good guy.â
When asked if McQueen was difficult to work with, Newman replied, âNo. Not with me. The first film he ever did was Somebody Up There Likes Me. I had a little part in it.â
McQueen died just six years after making The Towering Inferno, at age 50. He once downplayed his acting abilities despite attending the prestigious Actorsâ Studio.
âIâm not a great actor â letâs face it,â the actor once said, per Roger Ebert.com. âI donât have a great deal of scope. There are certain things I can do, but when Iâm bad, I stink. Thereâs something about my shaggy dog eyes that makes people think Iâm good. Iâm not all that good.â
âFriendsâ Legend Lisa Kudrow, 62, Still Glows on the Red Carpet After Sharing She Quit Botox
Over 30 years after Lisa Kudrow first rose to fame as Phoebe Buffay on Friends, the comedy star says she's done with injectables like Botox.
Kudrow, 62, who is best known for her memorable role as the blonde Phoebe on the beloved series alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, has earned significant acclaim for roles in movies like Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion and The Opposite of Sex. Now, she's back for a third and final season as actress Valerie Cherish in HBO's The Comeback, and hit the red carpet after making it clear she's ditching Botox for good.

Why Did Lisa Kudrow Quit Botox? While injectables like Botox are a dime a dozen in Hollywood, Kudrow is keen on officially quitting the stuff from now on.Â
"I think it contributed to my eye irritation and this weird pattern on my forehead, so Iâm probably done with it now anyway," Kudrow shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I am scared of having to see myself looking like my grandmother one day, but Iâm excited to play older roles."
Kudrow has previously spoken about undergoing plastic surgery as a teenager. She had a nose job before changing schools, and the experience significantly shaped how she saw herself.
"I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous," Kudrow previously told The Saturday Evening Post in 2013, according to ABC News. "I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn't know how hideous I looked before."
How Long Has Lisa Kudrow Been Married?Kudrow has been married to advertising executive Michael Stern for 30 years. When speaking to the Reporter, the comedy queen shared that she's grateful she kicked off her relationship with Stern before she became known as Phoebe Buffay on the iconic series. (The couple married in 1995, one year after the show began.)
âI feel like the luckiest thing that happened to me was that I met and fell in love with the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with before Friends, right before,â Kudrow said.
