Steven Spielberg Teases First-of-Its-Kind New Western – And It's Unlike Anything He's Done In His 62 Year Career
As one of the most famous and universally iconic directors of the modern age, Steven Spielberg has tackled almost every genre within the world of cinema, expertly exploring everything action, horror and fantasy to science fiction, romance and sweeping historical dramas.
One genre he has never yet managed to properly wade into, however, is the traditional Western narrative: a feat the 79-year-old might soon accomplish with his next tentative project.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Spielberg has shed some light on his plans for his next movie following the release of Disclosure Day later this summer.
"Well, I'm developing a Western," Spielberg said at the recent SXSW, culminating in appreciative applause from the audience in attendance.
While Spielberg mentioned that the planned movie would have many of the common conventions of traditional cinematic Western, it would also avoid many of the more controversial elements associated with the genre, such as harmful tropes related to race and gender.
"It's gonna have horses. There will be guns," Spielberg said. "But there'll be no tropes, I can just tell you that. There are gonna be no stereotypes, no tropes."
Since his career began, Spielberg has long expressed his admiration for the Western genre, naming prominent Western director John Ford as one of his key creative influences and referring to Stagecoach and The Searchers as two of his personal favorite movies.
"He inspires me, and I'm very sensitive to the way he uses his camera to paint his pictures, and the way he frames things," Spielberg once said of Ford at the AFI. "I really admire Stagecoach because, for one thing, it was John Ford's first foray into Monument Valley, so he was starting to use landscape art to help tell his story."
Despite his love for the genre, however, Spielberg has yet to fully tackle a self-contained Western, an achievement that he's had his eyes set on for several years.
"I was asked that question over the last 40 years of my career, if not longer, and I always say, ‘A musical is the one thing I haven’t done.’ The thing I neglected to say is the one genre I haven’t really tackled yet is the Western," Spielberg said. "So who knows? Maybe I’ll be putting on spurs someday."
‘Who’s the Boss’ Icon Judith Light Is Platinum Blonde at 77 and Mugging for the Camera on the Red Carpet
Judith Light is still a platinum blonde powerhouse at 77.
The beloved Who’s the Boss star is best known for her role as the high-powered advertising executive and single mom Angela Bower on the classic ’80s sitcom. Back then, her character was known for office chic styles like pussy bow blouses and high shoulder pads to contrast with the working-class style of her Brooklyn-born housekeeper, Tony Micelli, famously played by Tony Danza. The heartwarming show followed Micelli as he moved into her ritzy Connecticut home with his young daughter, Samantha, played by Alyssa Milano. Naturally, chaos ensued as Micelli clashed with Bower’s straight-laced ways. But in the present day, Light, who has earned acclaim for her roles on Ugly Betty and Transparent, is still an absolute fashion queen who brings fun and endless style to the red carpet.
This week, Light hit The Wrap’s Power Women Breakfast at Lotte New York Palace and worked her platinum blonde tresses with plenty of power. Sporting a chic power suit and tortoiseshell glasses, the stunner made it clear that she's ageless. Work that red carpet, Judith!

Would Judith Light Participate in a Who’s the Boss Reboot?Rumors of a Who’s the Boss reboot have gotten fans of the classic series curious about whether Light would return to reprise her role as Angela Bower. Last year, Milano, who played Tony’s daughter Samantha Micelli on the series, told Entertainment Tonight that she thinks a reboot would be a great idea.
“I think it could be really funny because, in my head, Tony is gonna be the exact same character but everything around him is just changing and growing,” Milano told ET. “So I’m excited about the prospect. I think it could be really, really fun.”
But Light isn’t sure she’d be able to commit to the show just yet. However, she made it clear that she also can’t guarantee what will happen in the future.
“In terms of where I am and the workload that I have right now, I don’t know what my availability would be,” the actress told PEOPLE last year. “When I started my career, I said I’d never do a soap opera and I’d never do a sitcom,” she continued. “Well, I did both those things. Then I said I would never marry an actor. And I did just that. So, I learned to never say never.”
Who could forget that classic series opening theme?

On This Day in 1985, a Beloved Sitcom Ended, and Fans Still Talk About It Today
On this day in 1985, a beloved television show aired its last episode. Alice aired for nine seasons, from 1976 to 1985, and ended on a beautiful note.
Alice starred Linda Lavin as Alice Hyatt. After the death of her husband, the aspiring singer picked up a waitressing job at a diner in Phoenix, Arizona named Mel's Diner. Hyatt worked at Mel's Diner to support her son, Tommy (Philip McKeon) as she awaited her big break as a singer.
Mel Sharples, played by Vic Tayback, owned the diner and was not an easy man to work for. Despite his tough exterior, Sharples ultimately was a big teddy bear with a good heart, which was embraced during the 1985 finale episode.
Alice also starred Beth Howland as Vera Louise Gorman, and Polly Holliday as Flo Castleberry. After several seasons, Castleberry left Alice to star in a spinoff based on her character. Her series, Flo, lasted for just two seasons.
Filling Castleberry's spot at Mel's Diner was Celia Weston, who played Jolene Hunnicutt. The iconic Diane Ladd also had a role on Alice during Seasons 4 and 5.
For years, Alice held the honor of being the longest-running television show led by a woman. The show Roseanne overtook Alice and claimed that title in 1996.
Over the course of its run, Alice received a handful of award nominations and several wins. Lavin, Tayback, and Holliday earned Emmy nominations in acting categories, but never won.
It was the Golden Globes, however, where Alice received plenty of recognition. Lavin and Holliday both won in 1978 and 1979. In addition, Tayback won in 1979, and the series won in the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical category, as well. Tayback won another Golden Globe in 1981, and Ladd won that year, too.
The Alice series finale was titled "Th-th-th-that's All Folks." The show was able to write a proper sendoff for everybody, and the last scenes were touching ones.
Mel decided to sell the diner, and both Alice and Jolene had already prepared to leave their jobs for other opportunities. The group shared one last night of telling stories and hugging one another through their tears. Vera revealed she was pregnant and told Mel she planned to name the baby after him.
The television series Alice was based on Martin Scorsese's 1974 movie titled Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. The series as a whole, and the finale specifically, continue to bring back wonderful memories for fans all these years later.
In a Facebook post about the finale shared in March 2025, one fan commented, "Linda Lavin and cast were fabulous!"
Another fan added, "Love that show back in the day!!!"
On Reddit, someone else gushed, "Love this show so much. Easily one of my top 10s."
Sadly, now, all of the main stars from Alice have died. Holliday was the last living original Alice cast member remained at the time of her death in September 2025. Ladd died in November 2025, and Lavin died in December 2024.
A Major Airline Just Canceled Over 1,000 Flights Due to High Gas Prices—Here's What to Do If You Had a Ticket
Scandinavian Airlines recently shocked the travel world by announcing it will cancel over 1,000 flights in April 2026 due to surging jet fuel costs. Airline CEO Anko van der Werff explained that with fuel prices doubling in just ten days amid geopolitical tensions and major energy route disruptions, the carrier had to trim capacity to stay financially stable.
For many travelers, that news arrived like a thunderclap. Many of us plan months in advance by booking flights, hotels, tours, and even ferry tickets, only to have global price shifts ripple into our carefully laid plans. Yet SAS is not alone. Across the industry, airlines are adjusting routes, raising prices, and canceling flights as fuel costs continue to balloon. In this environment, the way we think about air travel and how we protect our travel plans is changing. Willie Walsh, head of the International Air Transport Association, said that “There are no winners in this situation.”
Why Fuel Prices Have Become the New Travel DisruptionWhen most travelers hear “flight cancellations,” they think of weather or mechanical issues. Right now, the culprit is fuel economics. The ongoing conflict involving Iran has disrupted key shipping lanes such as the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly 20 percent of the world’s oil supply flows. Airlines have been forced to reroute traffic, pay sharply higher fuel costs, and rethink schedules.
That pressure shows up differently across airlines. SAS is trimming flights to balance costs and demand. Other carriers, including Cathay Pacific, Air France-KLM, Thai Airways, and Qantas, have raised ticket prices or applied fuel surcharges to manage expenses.
Fuel cost spikes have real effects. Some economy tickets have seen hundreds of dollars added to their cost, and airlines without strong fuel hedges are warning that fare increases may be necessary. As a traveler, that means higher prices, fewer flights on some routes, and a much greater premium on early and flexible bookings.
Related: Major Airline Offers Spring Flights Starting at $59
Another Airline Ground Effect: Air New Zealand’s CutsSAS is far from the only carrier adjusting its schedule this year. Air New Zealand has also announced cancellations, around 1,100 flights through early May 2026, affecting an estimated 44,000 passengers across its network.
Much like SAS, rising aviation fuel costs tied to global energy disruptions are driving the cuts and forcing the airline to make hard choices about route availability. Passengers on domestic routes, especially those involving Dunedin, face the most significant impacts.
Air New Zealand has also raised tickets by roughly $10 to $90 depending on the route. This is another example of how fuel volatility is working its way into the pockets of travelers. The combination of cancellations and pricing shifts from multiple airlines shows that this is part of a broader global disruption in aviation economics.
What to Do If Your Flight Is CanceledIf your itinerary is affected by one of these cuts, here are steps that will help protect your trip and your peace of mind.
- Contact the Airline Immediately: Most airlines will proactively notify affected passengers, but acting on your own speeds up rebooking or refunds. Check your booking through the airline app or website and call customer service if necessary. Many carriers will offer rebooking at no extra cost or full refunds for canceled flights when fuel costs force schedule changes.
- Request Flexible Options: If you have travel insurance or refundable fare classes, explore those options. Shifting to a different departure date or carrier might save you stress later. Some travel cards and loyalty programs offer built-in protections for schedule changes.
- Use Points or Miles Smartly: If you have airline miles or credit card points, this can be a time to use them. Flexible reward bookings often allow you to rebook without paying cash, especially when carriers are adjusting schedules due to industry-wide factors.
- Plan With Contingency in Mind: If your travel dates are fixed, such as for a wedding or event, build in time buffers and avoid tight connections. Fewer flights and shifting schedules mean even small delays can create bigger disruptions.

Traveler Tips Amid Rising Fuel CostsFrom these cancellations, several travel lessons emerge. Because capacity is shrinking and airlines may raise prices, booking earlier and choosing fares that allow free or low-fee changes gives you room to adjust without financial penalty.
Increasingly, airlines like IndiGo and others are introducing fuel surcharges on domestic and international tickets to manage cost pressures. Travelers should review fare breakdowns carefully before purchasing. Some airlines are rerouting traffic around high-cost fuel zones, which might make connecting flights through different hubs more reliable if cancellations persist.

How to Stay Ahead When Flights Are CanceledThe story of SAS canceling over 1,000 flights is not just a headline. It is part of a global shift in how air travel is priced and operated. With fuel prices at the heart of this change, travelers need to think strategically about booking timelines, flexibility, and contingency planning.
In many ways, this moment reminds me of travel in a very old-fashioned sense. It requires patience, adaptability, and a willingness to revise plans on the fly. While it can feel frustrating, it also invites travelers to look beyond the itinerary and treat disruptions as part of a richer travel story.
Staying calm, informed, and proactive will help you navigate this era of fuel-driven flight changes with confidence.
You Can See the Eiffel Tower In a Brand New Way but Honestly, It Looks Terrifying
There are countless ways to experience the iconic Eiffel Tower, from admiring it at sunset to dining at the top. But in 2026, there’s a brand-new way to see it that’s turning heads, and making some travelers seriously nervous.
Introducing the “Vertigo of the Tower,” a suspension bridge installed between the tower’s pillars, about 200 feet above the ground.
It sounds incredible. It looks incredible. But for many people, including myself, it also looks absolutely terrifying.
View this post on Instagram A New Way to Experience an IconThe new attraction is essentially a 40-meter-long netted suspension bridge stretched between the east and west pillars of the Eiffel Tower.
Unlike traditional observation decks, this experience puts you inside the structure, literally walking between its legs, suspended high above the ground. And yes, the floor is made of mesh.
The bridge is designed with over 25,000 mesh panels and multiple layers of safety netting, so it’s completely secure. But that doesn’t necessarily make it feel safe when you’re looking straight down at the city below. Only a handful of people, about four at a time, are allowed on the bridge, making it both an exclusive and intensely personal experience.

Why It Looks So TerrifyingLet’s be honest; walking across a net suspended 200 feet in the air is not for everyone. Even though the structure is fully enclosed, the design is meant to create a “walking on air” sensation, giving you unobstructed views of the ground beneath your feet. That’s exactly what makes it thrilling and terrifying at the same time and why I would prefer to view the Eiffel Tower from the safety of the ground.
View this post on Instagram The Experience: Thrill Meets ViewFor those brave enough to try it, the payoff is huge; the bridge offers a completely unique perspective of Paris, one you simply can’t get from the tower’s traditional viewing platforms. Instead of looking out at the city, you’re immersed in the structure itself, with just you and the skyline stretching in every direction.
It’s also free for visitors who already have a ticket to the Eiffel Tower, though you’ll need to reserve a time slot on-site using a QR code. The attraction is open for a limited time, running through early May, making it a seasonal experience rather than a permanent addition.

A Growing Trend in TravelThis new installation reflects a larger trend in travel that's turning iconic landmarks into immersive, adrenaline-filled experiences. From glass-bottom skywalks to cliffside bridges, destinations around the world are finding ways to give visitors a fresh perspective, often by adding a thrill factor. This is a growing trend that I think I'll skip out on.
The Eiffel Tower’s version is unique because it combines history with modern adventure. After all, this is a structure that dates back to 1889, originally built for the World’s Fair and now it’s hosting a cutting-edge experience that feels straight out of the future.
How to Enter Trader Joe's Chile Lime Seasoning Recipe Contest
Trader Joe's just launched a recipe contest built entirely around one product: the Chile Lime Seasoning Blend.
The grocery chain is asking customers to create an original recipe using the seasoning and up to six additional Trader Joe's products, then post a photo of the finished dish to Instagram with the full recipe in the caption and the hashtag #TJsChileLimeContest. The entry period opened on March 16 and runs through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday, March 29. Basics like salt, pepper, sugar, butter, cooking oils, and water are considered freebies and won't count toward the ingredient limit.
There are a few rules worth knowing:
- Only photo entries are accepted — videos won't count
- Accounts must be set to public or the judging panel won't be able to see the submission
- Photos can't include text overlays, graphics, or watermarks
- Any garnishes pictured on the dish will count as ingredients
A panel of Trader Joe's crew members will judge entries on three criteria: taste at 60%, photo composition at 30%, and creativity at 10%. So while a great photo matters, the dish itself matters more.
The grand prize is a $200 Trader Joe's gift card and the winning recipe featured on the company's website. Two runners-up each receive $100 gift cards. All three winners will also be featured on the @traderjoes Instagram account when results are announced.
The contest follows the same format Trader Joe's used for last year's Hoisin Sauce Recipe Contest, which ran in spring 2025.
If you're not familiar with the Chile Lime Seasoning Blend, it's been one of the most beloved products in the store for years. Made with California sea salt, chile pepper, red bell pepper, and lime juice, it has a coarser grind that adds texture to whatever it touches. Trader Joe's own description puts it simply: "Spicy, but not too hot, and tangy, but not too puckery."
The Chile Lime flavor has become so synonymous with Trader Joe’s that the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips dominated the store’s Customer Choice Awards for years. They were eventually retired from voting and, in January 2025, inducted into the Trader Joe’s Product Hall of Fame. That’s the kind of loyalty this flavor profile carries.
People already use the seasoning in a ton of different ways. It goes on mango slices, popcorn, grilled shrimp, and corn on the cob. It works as a rim for cocktails, a dusting on eggs and hash browns, and a quick mix-in with sour cream or yogurt for a dip. The whole point of this contest is to see how much further people can push it.
Sarah Michelle Gellar Just Revealed How She Quietly Helped Michelle Trachtenberg Land Her 'Buffy' Role
Sarah Michelle Gellarrevealed she had a hand in casting late actress, Michelle Trachtenberg, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
During a March 2026 interview with People magazine, Gellar reminisced about important moments in her decades-long career in the entertainment industry. When Gellar came across a picture of Trachtenberg, who died in 2025 at the age of 39, she noted that she had co-starred with the Ice Princess actress during their time on the soap opera All My Children. Gellar said that a few years after she left All My Children in 1995, she came across Trachtenberg at a high school.
"My husband [Freddie Prinze Jr.] was preparing to do a movie where he was playing a baseball player. And they were practicing at a local high school that has a very good baseball team," recalled Gellar while speaking to People. "This little girl came up to me. She was like, 'Oh my god, I don't know if you're going to remember me.' And of course, I did. It was Michelle. And she had heard that I was there watching Freddie. And so she had cut class to come visit me."
Gellar said she knew Buffy the Vampire Slayer was going to be casting for her character, Buffy Summers' younger sister, Dawn, and realized Trachtenberg would be the perfect fit.
"I think it was the next season that they were bringing on this younger sister. And I was like, 'I have an idea.' She was a huge Buffy fan," shared Gellar. "So I brought her to the set, introduced her to everyone so that she would be in their heads. And by the time they started casting, they just kept going back to Michelle because I had sort of like planted that seed. So that's how little Dawn was born."
Trachtenberg joined the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast during its 5th season, which premiered in 2000.
Sarah Michelle Gellar Shared a Tribute to Michelle Trachtenberg a Year After Her DeathGellar shared a tribute to Trachtenberg a year following her death in a February 2026 Instagram upload. The post featured several photos of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-stars throughout their friendship.
"I’m not sure how it’s been a year. I’m one of the lucky ones who has over 30 years of memories with you. From our first day on set together, to less than a year later, when you were already taller than me. But I first worked with on All My Children. I watched you become a star with Harriet," wrote Gellar in the post's caption.
She also shared that Trachtenberg had a great relationship with her and her husband's children, Charlotte, 16, and Rocky, 13.
"You were great to my kids. Countless kids bdays you attended even though I’m sure you had somewhere cooler to be," continued Gellar.
She also said that she often thinks of Trachtenberg's smile and her positive impact on those around her.
"But most of all, when I think of you, that smile that took up your entire face and brought so much joy to others is what comes to mind. You may not have been with us long enough, but we will make sure everyone remembers," concluded the actress in the post's caption.

30 Years Ago Today, the Beatles Brought John Lennon Back
John Lennon died on December 8, 1980. Fifteen years later, he was, in a way, in a recording studio with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
That's not quite the paradox it sounds like. Yoko Ono gave the three surviving Beatles a cassette of Lennon demos, and what followed were two reunion recordings for the Anthology project. One of them, released 30 years ago today on Anthology 2, had been sitting unfinished for nearly two decades. It would become the last Beatles song ever made without artificial intelligence.
'Real Love' originated as part of an unfinished stage play Lennon was developing, The Ballad of John and Yoko, first captured in 1977 on a handheld tape recorder at his piano. It evolved under the working title 'Real Life' and was combined with elements of another unfinished Lennon demo, 'Baby Make Love to You.' Lennon even considered placing 'Real Love' as the opening track of Double Fantasy, according to a handwritten draft of that album's running order. It never happened.
The tape Ono handed over was barely usable. Producer Jeff Lynne recalled stripping out a 60-cycle mains hum, severe hiss from a low-level recording, and clicks running all the way through, problems that compounded each other as he worked. Even after that was resolved, the song suffered from problems with Lennon's timing, and it took considerable work before the others could play to it.
The sessions took place in February 1995 at McCartney's studio in Sussex. The surviving Beatles deliberately steered away from modern production techniques. The goal was something timeless and classic. McCartney played a double bass originally owned by Elvis Presley's bassist Bill Black, while Harrison used his psychedelically-painted 'Rocky' Stratocaster, the same guitar seen in the 'I Am the Walrus' video. The introduction was played on the same celeste Lennon had used on 'Because,' and McCartney also brought in the harmonium from the 'We Can Work It Out' sessions.
Where Lennon's original vocal dropped out or fell too low, McCartney stepped in, making the lead vocal effectively a Lennon-McCartney duet. Lynne later described the moment McCartney and Harrison locked in on backing vocals. Suddenly, unmistakably, it was the Beatles again.
The song hit No. 4 in the UK and No. 11 in the US, though its UK chart position was widely blamed on BBC Radio 1's decision not to add it to their playlist, a move that drew condemnation from fans and Members of Parliament alike.

For nearly three decades, 'Real Love' stood as the final Beatles recording. Then 'Now and Then' arrived in November 2023, built from another demo off that same cassette. But completing it required Peter Jackson's machine-learning audio software to isolate Lennon's voice from a muddy piano recording in a way that had been technically impossible in 1995. The Beatles had actually attempted 'Now and Then' during these same 1995 sessions and abandoned it; Harrison didn't like the song. Without AI, it would have stayed abandoned.
That's what separates 'Real Love' from everything that follows. No AI, no machine learning, no audio separation software. Just a week of painstaking noise reduction, and three musicians playing in a room the way they always had, with the ghost of the fourth right there in the speakers.
Ringo Starr, reflecting afterward, said simply: 'Recording the new songs didn't feel contrived at all.'
Passenger Baffled by Bizarre Carry-On Situation but Not Everyone Is on His Side
Those who don't travel often can sometimes get confused by common airline practices. From those unspoken rules about who gets to use the armrests, to whether it's ever okay to clap when the plane lands, there are several things you just don't know until you've experienced them firsthand.
That's exactly what happened to one passenger who said he was baffled by a recent flight when he was told to stow his carry-on luggage a few rows away from his seat. However, when he took his question to Reddit, he was met with mixed reactions about the situation, including quite a few people who simply didn't understand why the passenger would want to store his luggage anywhere other than where he was directed. Here's what happened.
Man Takes Question About Carry-On Storage to RedditI love Reddit because it's a great place to go to crowd source information, especially when it comes to very specific questions. That's why many people turn to certain subreddits, where they can get more nuanced info and takes from people who are experts in these areas. That's what one man, who goes by the handle @tantamle, likely thought when he asked a question in the TravelHacks subreddit, where he shared that he was confused by a recent interaction he had while flying, and as someone who doesn't travel often, he wanted to get more info about what happened...and why.
"I wasn’t able to place my carry-on in an overhead bin near my actual seat," he wrote. "It was three or so rows back. I had to awkwardly barge backwards and people had already filled the aisles."
When he asked another traveler about why he was instructed to stow his bags so far back, he was told that it was because the first people on the plane usually place their items up front so they don't need to walk past their seats. "Are there any potential solutions to this issue," he asked before clarifying that he was looking to "hopefully solve or mitigate the problem for everyone" and not just himself by being told to "board first."

People Explained Why the Situation HappenedThe experience wasn't an uncommon one among the subredditors, and several people took the opportunity to explain why it happens. "The overheads simply run out of a room, sometimes no matter whether you board first or last," user @kharndt wrote. "On my last flight my seat was 1A (so, early boarding) and I had to place my carry-on two rows back. You just kind of have to go with it."
"People don’t want to pay for check in luggage, especially after flights have gotten so expensive, the airline overbooks the flight, but then the overhead bins aren’t equipped for majority of passengers on the overbooked flight to bring carry on luggage," another person chimed in. "Then the flight attendants start telling people to put their bags wherever they see a spot, even if it’s not near their seat."

There Are Some Perks to Putting Your Carry-On Behind YouWhile a lot of people tried to tell the OP that this is just the way things are sometimes, and he really needs to be part of that early boarding crew if he wants to be able to choose where he puts his bags, there were a few people who explained why they prefer stowing their carry-on bags towards the back of the plane.
"I once had someone walk off the plane with my bag and I had to run after them at the airport to get it back and almost missed my next flight," @northstarmidnightsky wrote in part.
However, the general consensus was that people should be placing their bags as close to their seat as possible to make it easier to access during the flight and to grab on your way out. But, we probably all know by now that carry-on space, much like leg room, is a dwindling commodity, and most travelers are just happy to get some wherever they can find it.
Aldi's Pretty Purple 2-Piece Serving Dish Set Turns Your Table Into an Enchanted Garden
Maybe you're the same way, but the second spring even thinks about showing up, I'm ready to fully commit to pastels. Like, give me all the soft purples, blushy pinks and those perfect robin's egg blues that make everything feel lighter and happier. It's the not-so-subtle seasonal shift I crave every year. To be perfectly honest, I want my space to look like it's been gently dipped in a bowl of Easter candy.
Don't even get me started on florals. I'm bringing them in wherever I can—on tables, dishes and maybe even on things that don't technically need florals but are getting them anyway. And that's just because I said so. I basically want to feel like I've wandered into some enchanted garden moment you'd see in a Taylor Swiftmusic video—soft, dreamy, whimsical and very committed to the theme.

These Crofton purple flower serving bowls from Aldi feel like such a perfect find. They're practical, but they also lean all the way into that pastel, floral fantasy I'm clearly not ready to let go of anytime soon. And for the record, you can find the exact same set in pink, if that's more your speed. Personally, I like to mix and match, but you do you.

An 11-inch serving bowl is an in-between size you'll end up using all the time, in ways you might not even expect. It's big enough for a hearty salad, a family-style pasta or sides like roasted veggies and mashed potatoes when you're hosting Easter dinner. But it also works for more low-key moments like corralling a pile of fresh fruit on the counter so that it looks styled rather than thrown together.
If you meander down the Aldi Finds aisle right now, you'll find it's decked out with all things spring. There are the prettiest cottagecore chair pads ideal for making you want to lounge at your dining room table a little longer. Looking for Easter garlands? You'll find them here as well. But if you can't wait to get your spring garden going, then you need to check out Aldi's three-tier potting bench, which is so perfect for prepping your backyard or patio for the new season.
Val Kilmer's Controversial Resurrection Receives Intense Fan Criticism: ‘Sick and Greedy’
Artificial Intelligence has taken things too far – this time, it has resurrected Hollywood legend Val Kilmer, who tragically passed away last year following a long battle with throat cancer.
After Variety shared the first look at the AI-generated Kilmer, resurrected for the indie film As Deep as the Grave, disappointed fans flooded the comment section with criticism.
The backlash was swift and fierce. One user called for legal action against the studio and producers: “That's NOT Val Kilmer. If they advertise he's in the film, that's a lie. Shame on his family for staining Val's legacy. I hope every person in the world sues the producers and the studio. You can't advertise "starring Val Kilmer" when Val Kilmer was NOT in the film. If this film doesn't get massive lawsuits, it clears the way for companies to steal actors' likenesses. Horrifying. Coerte Voorhees is a disgrace. Shame on everyone involved.”

Others were equally blunt. “No amount of moral dressing is going to change how sick and greedy this is. The family should be ashamed tbh,” wrote another user, calling the move outright exploitative.
The sentiment around Kilmer's irreplaceable talent ran deep, too. “I love Val Kilmer but this isn’t it. He was a talented actor for a reason, because the depth and soul he brings to a character. Fuck AI,” said another fan.
Some questioned whether the consent was ever given. “Did he say he was cool with this kinda thing before he died? If not, it's probably a gross thing to do.”
The criticism went beyond fandom, touching on something more philosophical. “This is a complete lack of respect for human life and identity. Life is fragile and irreplaceable. Exploiting someone’s image after death like this reduces them to a tool. Loss should remain loss. That’s how we honor the meaning and value of that life.”
Not everyone was without a sense of dark humour about it, though. “In Hollywood, when you die, they resurrect you with AI and force you to keep working.”
A few, however, came out it in support, “To see Val Kilmer back on screen with his family’s blessing is incredibly moving. If this is what he wanted, then it’s a beautiful way to honor his final creative wish,” a user wrote.
Writer-director Coerte Voorhees acknowledged the move would be deemed controversial but still stood by the decision, citing it as Val’s own wish. “His family kept saying how important they thought the movie was and that Val really wanted to be a part of this. He really thought it was important story that he wanted his name on. It was that support that gave me the confidence to say, okay let’s do this. Despite the fact some people might call it controversial, this is what Val wanted.”
For what’s it’s worth, if AI continues to resurrect actors this way, the onus will ultimately fall on the audience to decide – whether to accept this AI-generated slop, or hold firm on valuing a performer’s real, irreplaceable legacy.

Need More Paul McCartney? ‘The Man on the Run’ Extended Scenes Available Now
The Man on The Run documentary dove into Paul McCartney's solo career. McCartney, 83, spoke about his marriage with Linda and performing together in their band, Wings.
New versions of his music were released before the debut. The Prime Video documentary was released on February 27. There is good news for the music lovers who want more from the icon with Audible's update.
What Are Paul McCartney’s Audible Man on the Run Interviews About? View this post on InstagramAudible released a three-hour audio experience with extended McCartney interviews and musical performances on March 19. Morgan Neville directed the film and conducted the interviews with the legend.
"I don’t normally spend a lot of time looking back but I was flattered when Morgan said he was interested in this period," McCartney said, according to the press release. " The first bit of Wings was quite hard work and not very rewarding, but eventually we got some songs under our belts that were hits."

Wings disbanded in 1981 after Lady Linda left. "Morgan got me to think about stuff I hadn’t thought about for a long time," McCartney said. "He was asking all the right questions, and I was happy to be transported back."
One interview is about his time in Scotland after leaving The Beatles. Some of the conversations touch on the losses he experienced. One happened on the 45th anniversary of John Lennon's murder, and he dives deeper into them, reconnecting after their fallout. Audible posted two short clips of the interviews on Instagram in which he said they talked about what they had in common, like their family life first. Another is about the hobby that helped him after Lady Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995.
The Man on the Run interviews are now available on Audible. The documentary is available on Prime Video.
‘Happy Days’ Icon Henry Winkler Is Back on TV—And This Time It’s All About ‘Dangerous’ Nostalgia
Henry Winkler is heading back to TV—and once again, he’s diving into the kind of nostalgia that makes you wonder how anyone survived it.
The Happy Days legend returns as host, narrator and executive producer of season 2 of Hazardous History With Henry Winkler, which premieres Sunday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the History Channel.
The series leans all the way into a jaw-dropping idea: the things Americans used to do for fun, money—or just plain boredom—that would never fly today. We’re talking about pastimes, products and trends that were once totally normal… and are now firmly in the “what were we thinking?” category.
From risky playground antics to downright dangerous fads, the show revisits a time when safety wasn’t exactly top of mind. Or, as Winkler himself puts it in the newly released promo, it was a time when “thrill came before safety.”
In the season 2 premiere, titled “Killer Crazes,” the series takes a look back at the wild trends that once swept the country. Think gravity-defying flagpole sitting, cramming into phone booths just to see how many people could fit, and even keeping pet skunks or gulping live goldfish.
Yes—really.
The official description promises “a jaw-dropping, head-shaking trip back to the fads that pushed the limits and made our hazardous history must-see mayhem,” and if the first season was any indication, that’s exactly what viewers can expect.
The newly released promo leans into that mix of humor and disbelief, with Winkler rattling off examples that sound almost unreal today.
“Nobody wore helmets when cramming into a phone booth,” he says. “Kids weren't wearing any gloves when their toy ovens burned them. Why would they?”
He even references “ostrich riding”—adding, “Yes, a real thing we did.”
Now, as Winkler notes with a knowing smile, we have something those earlier generations didn’t: hindsight.
The beloved actor, best known for playing the Fonz on Happy Days, has built a decades-long career that spans comedy, drama and producing, including Emmy-winning work on Barry. But with Hazardous History, he’s tapped into something especially powerful—nostalgia with a twist.
Not just remembering the past… but questioning it.
And if season 2 delivers even more of those “wait, that was allowed?” moments, viewers may never look at the “good old days” quite the same way again.
Hazardous History With Henry Winkler premieres Sunday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the History Channel.
‘Better Off Ted’ Premiered 17 Years Ago and Fans Still Aren’t Over Its Cancellation
Seventeen years ago, ABC premiered a workplace comedy about a corporation that weaponized pumpkins, created killer pandas, froze employees in cryogenic chambers, and filmed fake propaganda commercials. The show was called Better Off Ted.
Created by Victor Fresco, the series debuted on March 18, 2009, starring Jay Harrington as Ted Crisp, a single dad and head of research and development at the fictional megacorporation Veridian Dynamics. His job was simple in theory: keep his moral compass intact while working for a company that had none.
Portia de Rossi played his ruthless boss, Veronica Palmer, while Andrea Anders starred as Linda, his grounded love interest. Jonathan Slavin and Malcolm Barrett rounded out the cast as Phil and Lem, two lab scientists who spent most of their time either being experimented on or running experiments they probably shouldn't have been.
“Workplace chaos, corporate absurdity, and clever satire—Better Off Ted (2009-03-18) serves laughs with a side of science experiments gone wrong. Smart, snappy, and oddly relatable. 🧪💼 #BetterOffTed #ComedyGold” pic.twitter.com/8xePKYgr9Q
— Your Countdown To (@YourCountdownTo) March 18, 2026Sharp, fast, and unlike anything else on network TV at the time, the writing earned strong reviews. The series holds an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.2 on IMDb. Still, critical praise didn't translate into viewership. The pilot drew 5.64 million viewers — ABC's lowest-rated comedy debut since 2005 — and the numbers only dropped from there, averaging around 2 million.
Much of that came down to how ABC handled the show. The network moved it around, launching it on Wednesdays before bringing it back for a summer run, then shifting it again for its second season. Two episodes never even aired in the United States after ABC scheduled them for June 17, 2010, when Game 7 of the NBA Finals took over that night.
Better Off Ted (2009–2010) was razor sharp corporate satire disguised as a workplace sitcom. Way ahead of its time, way too smart for network TV, and canceled before it ever had a chance to age into the classic it clearly was. Still painfully relevant.
pic.twitter.com/fearFza6sS https://t.co/oAfP5RfgtO
Series creator Victor Fresco later told Vulture the issue wasn't rejection, but awareness. "I think not enough people knew about it," he said, adding that "the people who liked it, liked it a lot." He also suggested the series could have thrived on cable, comparing its potential to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
ABC officially canceled the show on May 13, 2010, after two seasons and 26 episodes. In the years since, Better Off Ted has built exactly the kind of loyal fanbase Fresco always believed was out there. Its themes of corporate absurdity and workplace dehumanization now feel right at home alongside shows like Severance.
Fresco later went on to create Santa Clarita Diet for Netflix, which also became a cult favorite — and was also canceled too soon.
