145-Pound Cane Corso Gently Getting in Bed to Snuggle His Humans Is Everything
Both of my dogs sleep with us every night. While they're small — a Dachshund and a Pug mix — they manage to take up a lot of space. I must confess, I put their comfort before my own and often end up with barely any blankets or hanging off the side of the bed. Still, they're totally worth it.
Jax the Cane Corso is a bit larger than my pups and has the same preference of sleeping with his parents despite his enormous size.
@brittanyandjaxAnother cozy comfy night with our 145lb CANE CORSO #canecorso #canecorsoforlife #bigdogs #canecorsoowner #canecorsolovers
♬ The Stable Song - Gregory Alan IsakovIn the TikTok from @brittanyandjax, the gentle giant stared at his parents sleeping in bed and felt something missing... himself, right next to them.
Trying his best not to wake his mom and dad, Jax ever-so-quietly walked alongside the bed to figure out his best onboarding strategy. He carefully climbed up and located his target sleep spot. It took some maneuvering, but the colossal canine was able to get comfortably situated.
Jax tried to give his parents as much room as possible by curling up on the comforter rather than stretching out. He even considerately moved to the edge of the bed at one point, trying his best to share the space.
Time for a King-Size Bed?His parents quickly realized they had a visitor and adjusted themselves to accommodate Jax. They didn't appear to have the best sleeping positions, but they made it work.
"Our Cane Corso decided he wanted to sleep with us, so we all slept diagonally to make him comfortable," the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, "Another comfy cozy night with our 145-lb Cane Corso."
Followers fell in love with Jax's adorable need to cuddle and suggested a bigger bed may be in their future.

"I love how gentle he was. Like you weren't going to notice an extra 145 lbs in bed with you," one pointed out.
'He tried to curl up so small," another remarked.
"Time for a bed upgrade, look into the Alaskan king-size bed," a follower recommended.
"Put him in the middle of you both and hug him, please please," someone pleaded.
I think most parents are willing to sacrifice some comfort to make room for their fur babies. The love and snuggles they give in return are priceless.

7 Sweet Signs Your Dog Has a Big Heart, Experts Say
As a pet behavioral trainer, Shir Limazati, CPDT- KA of Another Chance Training, focuses on helping dogs and their pet parents build strong connections. In her work, she looks for telltale signs that dog and owner bonds are on the right track. "One of the clearest markers of success in that relationship is seeing behaviors that show just how big a dog’s heart truly is toward their family," Limazati says. In other words, looking for behaviors that prove your dog's empathetic and kind is more than an exercise in finding microjoys with macro impact. It's a signal that you and your dog have a safe and secure relationship.
The good news? For generations, we've groomed canines to become companions, whether they were helping out on a hunt or snuggling close to us on the couch. "Dogs evolved alongside humans in a way that prioritized social connection, cooperation and emotional awareness," Limazati says. "They are one of the few animal species hard-wired to read human facial expressions, tone of voice and body language, responding with behaviors meant to maintain closeness and harmony."
Put simply: "Dogs are relationship-driven at their core," Limazati adds, "Their world revolves around shared experiences, safety and affection. None of it is performative. It’s instinctual. Because of this, emotional intelligent dogs really do have some of the biggest hearts out there." So, if you want to know how dogs communicate kindness and that they love you, keep reading. After all, sometimes decoding a dog's body language cues can be tricky.

7 Behaviors That Prove Your Dog’s Got a Big Heart A sweet and empathetic dog with its owner.JGI/Jamie Grill
A dog's love comes without strings. "When dogs form bonds, those bonds tend to be straightforward, loyal and deeply sincere," states Ashley Carpenter, the owner and head trainer of Limitless Canines. "What we often interpret as a big heart is really a mix of emotional awareness, social bonding and an ability to live fully in the present with the people they love."
Below are several behaviors that prove your dog's super sweet and caring, even though they may show it in subtle ways.
1. They do extra check-ins when you're upsetSome of the most touching dog bonding behaviors appear when your pup notices you’re having a rough day. Dogs with big hearts are remarkably empathetic and can sense when their humans are upset, offering comfort in their own special ways. So, when your dog makes extra check-ins, it’s more than affection, it’s emotional intelligence, empathy and unconditional love in action.
"Not all dogs will do this, and for some breeds it’s much more common, but very empathetic dogs who are in tune with their owners will actually often come over and check in when you're upset," says Annie-Mae Levy, CFBA, a professional dog trainer at Woofz. "This might look like them sniffing and licking you lots when you're crying or breathing very fast."
2. They forgive youA dog doesn't demand perfection, and their love is unconditional. So, if you notice your dog forgives you for something, it shows they are a loving dog. "Forgiveness may be one of the clearest signs of a dog’s big heart," Carpenter says. "Dogs don’t hold onto resentment the way humans do. A raised voice, a missed walk or an accidental step on a paw rarely damages the bond for long."
Dogs will readily accept your apology, and Carpenter says they'll quickly re-engage, reconnect and trust again. That's why this is a sign your dog is loving.
3. They have whole-body reunionsOne of the most adorable ways a dog shows love is through whole-body reunions when you come home. When your dog goes all out during these reunions, it's a sign your dog has a big heart.
"Wagging tails, joyful spins, happy hops and full-body wiggles are common when you come home," Limazati says. "Dogs experience time apart differently than humans do, so seeing you again feels genuinely exciting. That over-the-top greeting is about how much you matter to them, every single time."
4. They adaptBig-hearted dogs can read a room and meet the moment. That's why one of the most remarkable signs that a dog has a truly big heart is their ability to adapt to the people and situations around them. Empathetic dogs with this trait are emotionally intelligent, observant, and incredibly caring, making them sensitive companions who respond to the needs of others.
"A sign that dogs often have really big hearts is their ability to adapt to those around them," Levy shares. "Lots of dogs, when around children or vulnerable people, will be calmer, slower-moving and even adjust their play styles to keep everyone safe."
When a dog adapts their behavior for the comfort or safety of others, it’s more than manners, it’s a clear dog bonding behavior and a sign of emotional generosity. Emotional intelligent dogs naturally show patience, empathy, and love, proving that their affection goes beyond themselves and extends to those they care about.
Related: 8 Signs Your Dog is Attached to You, a Trainer Says
5. They make eye contactThere's no denying that eyes are the window to your dog's big heart and soul, and paying attention to this dog body language can reveal how deeply they care about you.
"This can be a way for them to show they care about what you want or what you are feeling in any moment," Levy states. "The level of engagement your dog shows, often via eye contact, can be a really good measure of how in tune they are and how much they care about you."
Maintaining eye contact shows emotional intelligence, loyalty, and affection, and it’s a clear dog bonding behavior that proves your pup values you and your relationship.
6. They bring you toysOne of the most adorable ways a dog shows affection is by bringing you their toys, even when they aren’t in the mood to play. This behavior goes beyond fun as it’s a clear dog bonding behavior and a heartwarming way for your furry companion to express love.
"This isn’t always an invitation for fetch, but more often a willingness to share something that brings them comfort and happiness," Carpenter says. "Kind dogs value their prized possessions, so offering them up can be a way of saying, 'This makes me happy, so maybe it will make you happy too.' That willingness to share something meaningful shows emotional generosity and kindness."
For dog owners, this behavior is a clear indication that your dog not only trusts you, but also feels deeply bonded and affectionate.
7. They lean inOne of the most touching ways a dog shows love is by leaning against you as leaning in is one way how dogs show they have a big heart. This simple gesture is more than just seeking attention—it’s a dog bonding behavior that demonstrates that your pup is affectionate, empathetic and deeply attached—qualities that make their heart feel as big as their love for you.
"When a dog presses their body against your leg or side, it’s more than just seeking attention," Limazati shares. "Leaning is a sign of trust and bonding. Your dog is choosing physical closeness as a way to feel grounded and secure. In that moment, you are their safe space."

Stunning Ragdoll Cat’s ‘Ocean Eyes’ Will Have You Completely Mesmerized
Cats have famously pretty eyes. People try to recreate the cat-eye look all the time on their nails, on their own eyes, in marbles... It never ends, but nothing truly comes close to real cat eyes.
Just look at this Ragdoll cat. He was sitting in front of a window, and the sunlight hit his eyes so perfectly that they were so easy to get lost in. If you look at them for long enough, I swear, you can see the ocean:
@willowandkennyragdollsWhen the afternoon sun hits your ragdolls eyes 🥹🫶🏼 #pets #ragdollcat #blueeyes #oceaneyes #cutecat
♬ original sound - billyricsWillow and Kenny are two classic Ragdoll siblings who love causing chaos. They each spend time alone, but they love coming together for the purposes of evil. They're Bicolor Ragdolls, which means that they have:
- Big blue eyes.
- Two distinct coat colors, but not necessarily "color points."
- A deep "inverted V" shape on their faces.
These two are as elegant as it gets, and they know it. You can usually find them lounging around with their fluffy bellies up, just waiting for belly pats from their mom!
Related: Rare ‘Peach Tortie’ Ragdoll Cat Looks Like the Sweetest Girl
Kenny is the star of that video, but his sister deserves some recognition, too. Both of them have very pretty eyes! Willow is also the older sister, so her eyes have been prettier for longer... Which has to count for something!
When they're both together, though? They're impossible to resist:
@willowandkennyragdollsTeddy bear cut for the kitties 🛁🎀🧸✂️ #ragdoll #teddybearcut #ragdollcat #cathaircut #cutecat
♬ The Way I Live - Baby Boy da PrinceThey're also fresh from the salon in this clip, both of them having gotten a "teddy bear cut." Essentially, that means their body fur has been trimmed, with their hair fur being kept long and rounded. That's how they get that "teddy bear" appearance!
Not All Ragdoll Cats Have Blue EyesBlue eyes are definitely the most common for Ragdoll cats, and as a result, they're typically considered to be an indicator of a "real" Ragdoll. There are three standard variations of Ragdoll: pointed, bicolor, and mitted. All three of these variants have blue eyes, per TICA standards.

However, there are a few other variants of Ragdoll cats, and they don't always have blue eyes. Mink and Sepia Ragdolls might have several other eye colors, including:
- Green
- Aqua
- Gold
- Amber
There is some debate about whether these cats count as "purebred" Ragdolls, but they're referred to as Ragdolls by most. There's no doubting Willow and Kenny, though: those are 100% Ragdolls!

‘Split-Faced’ Maine Coon Kitten’s Coloring Belongs in an Art Gallery
If there's one thing most people can agree on, it's adoration for kittens. They're just so precious; if someone says they hate kittens, I run for the hills. I'm not even a big cat person; I have three dogs!
Some kittens could win even the most cat-averse hearts in the world, I guarantee it. For example, this Maine Coon kitten, whose perfectly split face coloring has split my heart wide open:
@dreams.maine.coon#mainecoonsoftiktok #mainecoon
♬ tranloptruon - trân🫡🇻🇳Dreams Maine Coons really are the stuff dreams are made of. I am so obsessed with this little baby, from her coloring to her big, blue eyes. Her ears are really big, too, which only makes him even better! She can definitely hear everyone talking about how gorgeous she is.
It looks like she might also have some extra toes, which is a pretty common thing for specialty Maine Coons. Even with her extra toes, she looks perfectly happy and healthy!

Benefits of Raising Kittens In-HouseThe cattery is new to TikTok, but they state that all of their kittens are raised in their home. In most cases, that's the ideal way to do it; raising the kittens in your home helps them:
- Acclimate to a home environment.
- Get varying levels of interaction with others.
- Adjust to the general schedules people follow.
These cats in particular are true showstoppers. They just have such crisp, clean faces, almost like they've been carved from clay, and some of them have epic coloring:
@dreams.maine.coon#mainecoon #mainecoonsoftiktok
♬ 霧化する言語 - yasuhiro sodaCover one side and she looks like a completely different cat! It's basically getting two cats in one!
How Does Chimerism Work?Though we don't have her exact genetic test results to confirm for sure, this kitten looks like a Chimera to me. Her split coloring extends down her back and to her paws, which is a sign of Chimerism, rather than literally just being her face.
Chimera cat on a black background.Image via Shutterstock / Mikhail Leypounsky
A Chimera cat is the product of two separate embryos fusing in-utero, and it's "most common" in Tortoiseshell cats, though true Chimerism is exceedingly rare and requires genetic testing to confirm. A Chimera cat legitimately is kind of two cats in one!
Tortoiseshell cats are often misclassified as Chimeras because a lot of them have a "split" appearance, but there are a few ways to really tell:
- Genetic testing (the only true way).
- Examine their body: does the split only appear in their face? True Chimeras often have more of that split-coloring.
Unfortunately, this rare trait is a very common scam tactic for sketchy breeders. Before you buy a cat being sold as a Chimera (they're often way more expensive, too), always ask for test results!

Black Cat’s Long Nose and Tiny Eyes Look Like a Preschooler Drew Him From Memory
Every once in a while the internet discovers a cat that makes everyone pause for a second and go, “Wait… is that real?” This sweet black cat has a very long nose, tiny green eyes, and a face that looks like someone tried to draw a cat from memory and got most of the details slightly wrong.
It’s giving strong “a preschooler drew a cat from memory” energy and the internet is completely enchanted.
@anqxlinx ♬ original sound - averyyyTikTok user @anqxlinx shared a clip of the unusual looking feline lounging calmly in a chair. At first glance everything seems normal… until you notice the proportions.
The cat has a facial expression that somehow looks both deeply serious and completely confused at the same time.
Related: Gentle Special-Needs Cat Looks Like an Old-Timey Raccoon
It’s the kind of face that makes your brain pause for a second while you try to figure out exactly what you’re looking at.
The internet, of course, immediately fell in love.
“i am genuinely so enchanted by him,” one commenter wrote.
Another admitted, “why is this making me feel emotional.”
Someone else summed up the overall vibe perfectly: “whats his problem i love him so much.”
But the comment that really nailed the comparison said, “he looks like a kid drew a cat and had never ever seen a cat.”
Another viewer added, “buddy got drawn from memory.”
Because the Cat looks so unusual, a few people even wondered if he might somehow be fake.
“Wait is he real,” one person asked.
Thankfully, there’s another clip confirming that yes, he is absolutely a real cat… just one with a very unique face.
And honestly that might be part of the reason people love him so much.
Why We Love Unusual Looking Cats @the.footless.catPlaying fetch with my footless cat. He loves rolling toys around! #cat #cute #playing #rescue #rescuecat
♬ Trouble on Four Legs - WanNyanCats with unusual features often end up becoming internet favorites because their faces are so memorable. Whether it’s big eyes, tiny eyes, a crooked nose, or dramatic markings, distinctive features tend to make people stop scrolling.
There’s also something strangely endearing about animals that don’t fit the traditional “perfect” look. A cat that looks a little odd often comes across as more expressive, more relatable, and somehow even more lovable.
In fact, some of the most famous cats online became popular specifically because their faces were different. Those quirky features give them personality before they even move.
This long nosed little black cat might not look like a textbook example of feline elegance, but judging by the internet’s reaction, he’s exactly the kind of weirdly wonderful cat people can’t stop thinking about.

Influencer Takes Her 4 Dachshunds to the Dog Park and the Results Are Hilarious
New Yorkers and most of the country have been experiencing an epic winter. From snowfall records in NYC and all up and down the East Coast to plunging temperatures, it has been a long winter.
Four New Yorkers feeling this are influencer Halley Kate's four Dachshunds.
The weather has kept them inside a lot or right near their apartment, but now that it's finally a little warmer, Kate is taking them on a longer walk to their favorite dog park.
In a new video posted to her account, we see Kate and her fiancé walking their four Dachshunds—Oslo, Finnley, Rusty, and Roxy.
"The whole squad is out. We're going to the dog park!" she says as they walk to the west side highway.
Kate noted that the number of compliments they get when walking their four Dachshunds is quite impressive.
All four dogs have on cute coats, as it's not freezing but definitely not warm, and they can barely contain their excitement as they approach the park!
Kate noted that this was Roxy's (whom they just adopted last fall) first trip to this dog park, and she seemed pretty pumped.
The Four Dachshunds All Have Different Personalities at the ParkThe ladies of the group, Finnley and Roxy, are all about playing with the ball and socializing with other pups.
Her male dog, Oslo, however, is less into socializing and more into spending time sitting under the bench near his dad.
As for why some dogs are a bit less social at the dog park, it can be due to a mix of anxiety, negative past experiences, or just not being in a social mood.
However, all the dogs did enjoy running back and forth after Kate.
These dogs are just thrilled to not be freezing cold anymore!

Senior Golden Retriever's 'Welcome Home' Greeting Is Every Pet Parent's Dream
Some of my favorite core memories happen every time I return home after going on vacation, to visit a friend, or even just to the mailbox. I know once the door swings open, I'll have two happy dogs ready and waiting to greet me, and it's THE BEST feeling! No one could ever love the way these devoted companions do 24/7/365 (sorry to my family), so if you don't know, go adopt a dog today.
Even better, one of my babies is a senior I rescued from the shelter, and his love is truly one of a kind. Leona, the senior Golden Retriever, reminds me of my boy, if only because of her sweet "welcome home" greeting for Mom.

Since Leona's arrival, she's been learning from her new Golden brother, Duke, who has a bit of a stealing and hoarding issue he's working through. As you can imagine, the new duo makes for some pretty hilarious and adorable moments as they team up to take household items.
It makes my heart happy to know they've landed in a supportive, compassionate home where both Goldens Retrievers can be themselves. And now that they have each other, neither will ever feel lonely or scared again.

♬ original sound - lifewithduke2025 Why Adopt a Senior Dog?As I look over at my senior Staffy, Franklin, I can give you a million reasons why these older, more experienced dogs are where it's at. Not only are these pups ready for love, they usually don't require the same intense training or energy output that younger dogs do (and are less destructive).
Most of the time, they already know the basics like potty training, and they're more likely to cuddle than beg for endless games of fetch. More than all of this, adopting a senior dog feels different—you can tell they're grateful, and they show you with every single "welcome home" smile for the rest of their days.

German Shepherd Checks on 'Her' Newborn Kittens Every Morning and It’s Too Much
Some dogs wake up ready for breakfast. Some want a walk. And apparently, one dedicated German Shepherd wakes up every morning with a very important job to do.

♬ Beautiful Piano (Acoustic) - ProdByDaveDogs and kittens forming close bonds might seem surprising, but it actually happens more often than people expect.
Many dogs have strong nurturing instincts, especially breeds like German Shepherds, who are known for being attentive, loyal, and protective of the family around them. When puppies grow up around cats, they often see kittens as small members of the household that need watching over.
Young kittens also make high-pitched noises and tiny movements that naturally trigger curiosity and caregiving instincts in some dogs.
The result can be surprisingly sweet relationships where a pup becomes a gentle observer, protector, or even an unofficial babysitter.
Judging by Athena’s very serious morning kitten inspection routine, these tiny babies already have a loyal guardian making sure everyone starts the day safe and accounted for.

Tiny Pup's Hilarious Attempt to Keep Dad Home Is Pure Joy and Cuteness
You put on your shoes, and your dog's whole body changes. They were half asleep five minutes ago. Now they are glued to your ankle, or draped across your feet like a living sandbag. Sometimes they grab your sleeve with their front teeth, just enough pressure to say stay. That small nibble is what we call a love bite.
It is not aggression. Think of it as gentle mouthing. Puppies do it with their littermates when they are young. Adult dogs do it because they think their humans are their littermates. It is a form of communication.
In a recent video on social Reddit's r/Awww, we see exactly how that love bite can make you feel guilty for leaving for work.
Yerba mate megapost.by u/Kupuka in yerbamate
In the video, the dog is right by the car, wagging his tail and mouthing his owner, as if to say, "Please stay and let's have fun together." As the owner pets him, the dog itches to climb into the car and keep his human from leaving.
How Did the Internet React? Many fans have encountered the same behavior and explained the love bite. "My golden retriever does this to me as well. He'll gently hold my wrist/arm/hand in his mouth," a Redditor shared. "I came to mention the 'Love Bite' - I had only seen it in royal poodles.... they grip the wrist like that," added another. "Is this a way of showing 'look, I can keep your hand in my mouth and not bite it off, because I love you?'" inquired another commenter.
One funny comment said that at this point, you cannot go to work, explaining, "How can you even go to work, at that point just call in sick and pamper the good boy."
And the most adorable comment is comparing this dog to celebrities, saying, "That's a Disney pup right there."
Related: Woman’s Expensive Homemade Dog Dinner Sparks Heated Debate Online
Understanding Love BitesLove biting, or mouthing, is a behavior in which dogs put their mouths on a person without applying high pressure. Mouthing doesn't cause any pain or break the skin.
For adult dogs, it is a sign of affection or an attempt to get attention. Retrievers and herding dogs are more prone to this behavior because of their breed history and instinct. They are naturally mouthy and use their mouths to interact with the world.
When a dog gently holds your hand, they are showing that they trust you with their life and want physical closeness with you. Enjoy it. It means your dog loves you!
How to Help Your Dog Learn You Have to LeaveDogs would love it if their humans remained at home all day long. But as we often say, somebody has to go work and earn money for all those toys and treats. The best way to prevent separation anxiety is to practice short departures.
You pick up your keys and sit back down on your couch. Reward your dog for being calm. Then, leave for a few minutes, but offer your dog a tasty chew before leaving. This makes leaving a predictable behavior, with something good happening.

George Packs on the Pounds at Grandma'sThose warnings about his weight were well-founded. George has stayed at Grandma's in the past and never holds back on indulgences. A previous post featured George confessing to some unwanted extra pounds during a stint at her house.

You Won't Believe This Silver Tabby's Surprise Hidden Talent for Pool
The balls are lined up. The cue is leaning against the wall. And your cat is already on the felt, batting at a stripe like they have money on the game. Watching two cats treat a pool table like their own private arena is funny. But it is also a reminder that we often forget that cats need work as much as dogs.
We often talk about walking dogs and providing physical and mental stimulation. At the same time, we label cats as independent and low maintenance. But they, too, need mental stimulation.
In the latest video shared on Reddit's r/PetsareAmazing, we see two cats around a mini pool, the kind we got as young children as a toy. Now, that same toy serves a purpose for these two cats. One of them will soon be 16 years old, and she still wants to play.
One by one, they are putting the balls in the holes and having fun while doing it. The funniest part is that they are taking turns. There is no rushing it. They want to play together and have fun.
Related: Golden Retriever's Sweet Reaction to Cat Using Him as a Bed Is Everything
How Did the Internet React? Most of the Redditors talked about how these two cats are having the time of their life and how funny they are.
Some talked more in-depth about the game, saying, "Rhett looks like he's got some serious hustle skills, hope he gets many more years of pool domination!"
And then there were those who believed the same situation would not happen in their home, saying, "Why do i feel like every one of the balls would end up under the stove or refrigerator, etc. the first day and no game of pool would ever happen again? cute kitties!"
Why Mental Stimulation Matters for CatsWhile cats do not need daily walks like dogs, they do need mental stimulation. They need daily opportunities to play and satisfy their predatory behavior.
Mental stimulation is a biological requirement for felines. Like dogs, cats benefit from it by preventing behavioral issues. For example, over-grooming and aggression. Cats that do not receive challenges become lethargic.
The pool table in the viral video works because it mimics parts of a hunt. Moving objects. Changing angles. A surface that lets the ball roll unpredictably. The cats are not being chaotic. They are rehearsing instinct.

Ragdoll-Maine Coon Cat’s ‘Diva Time’ on a Walk Has Her Runway Ready
Cats spend most of their time inside, at least in the majority of cases. Having outdoor cats is certainly a thing of the past, but that doesn't mean they can't ever go outside at all! In fact, a lot of cats really love it.
For one Maine Coon-Ragdoll cat mix, outside time serves several purposes. While it's fun and provides enrichment, it also provides the perfect opportunity to practice her model walk... And she is ready to absolutely slay the runway:

She's an only cat, which is why she's such a diva: all eyes are always on her. She doesn't have to share, and that's the way she likes it. Being that she's a Maine Coon-Ragdoll mix, Kizzy is extremely fluffy, and the wind must feel so good on her fur!

Kizzy Is Still a KittenKizzy may look huge already, but that's because of her genes. In reality, she's still a kitten; she's only been in her forever home for a few months. Desensitization was very important to her mom, who has done several activities to achieve it:
- Before she was vaccinated, she took Kizzy for walks in her stroller.
- Even as a tiny kitten, she was putting that leash and harness on to get her used to it.
- Once she was ready, she would take walks outside.
They've been to busy places, heard lots of different noises, and prepared her in every way. These days, she's outside whenever she can be, and she clearly loves it:

What Are Maine Coon-Ragdoll Cats Like?Okay, while Kizzy may be the most gorgeous cat the world has to offer, this is not a mix you want to just run out and buy. Research is always key, and Maine Coon-Ragdolls are a doozy!

While Maine Coon-Ragdoll mix cats are kind, smart, and super affectionate, they're also very energetic. You can train them with ease, but they're also going to find ways to outsmart you. Additionally, if you don't keep up with their training, they can fall into bad habits easily.
It's best not to let that happen. If you can manage them, they're legitimately some of the best cats ever, and they're clearly some of the prettiest, too!

Lego Creator Orange Cat, $4.99 at TargetTarget
Despite its small size, the set packs plenty of personality. The 79-piece kit lets builders create a bright orange cat with big eyes, a curved tail and a little bowl of milk. The finished model is playful and expressive—perfect for anyone who appreciates the quirky charm orange cats are known for.
But the fun doesn't stop with the cat.
Like many Lego Creator sets, this one is designed as a three-in-one build. Using the same pieces, builders can also assemble a crocodile with a tiny water puddle or an owl sitting on a nest with two eggs. Only one animal can be built at a time, but the set is designed to be taken apart and rebuilt whenever you feel like switching things up.

For Kids and Adults AlikeThe set is recommended for builders ages 6 and up, but these smaller Lego kits often appeal to adults, especially those who enjoy quick builds or collecting lots of different models.
With just 79 pieces, it's a project that can be completed fairly quickly while still offering the satisfying experience of snapping together a full Lego creation. Once finished, the orange cat makes a cheerful little decoration for a work desk, bookshelf or knick-knack shelf.
It's also the kind of build that works well as a small gift, whether it's tucked into a birthday present, slipped into a holiday stocking, or given as a surprise to someone who loves cats—especially the orange variety.
A Smaller Orange Cat SetThis isn't the only orange cat Lego set making the rounds lately. A larger orange cat build has been circulating online and catching the attention of Lego fans and cat lovers alike.
This version, however, is a much smaller and simpler build, making it a nice option for kids or people who want the same playful orange-cat vibe without committing to a bigger project.
At just $5, it's really a no-brainer. For Lego fans, orange-cat enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys a tiny, cheerful build, this little set is an easy one to toss into your cart.

Shelter Cat’s Heartbreaking Wait After Helping Her Babies Find Homes Has Us in Tears
Kitten season is approaching. I have dogs, but if there's one thing I am consistently on the lookout for and yapping about during this time, it's kittens and how we can help them. This is a brutal time for them!
One shelter cat has gone through this before. She was a stray, and she had kittens... All of whom have gone on to loving forever homes. As for her, though, she's still waiting, and you can tell it's taking a toll:
@almosthomehumaneEmber is the sweetest girl once she warms up to you. She has been ready for her forever home for nearly a year. edit: ember has found her forever home! #humanesociety #ahhs #fyp #sheltercat #adoptme
♬ original sound - hcsteinfeldThe Almost Home Humane Society in Lafayette, Indiana, is doing absolutely everything they can to find Ember a home. Unfortunately, there's really only so much they can do; if nobody wants to take her home, they can't exactly force the issue.
So, as a result, poor Ember has been at the shelter for nearly a year, and she's been alone for most of that. Desperate to find her a home, they took to TikTok to show off her sad little eyes and how sweet she is.

Ember Found a HomeThough we don't get to see it in a follow-up video or anything, Ember found a forever home shortly after this video was taken. Her sad eyes must've melted someone's heart a little too hard!
Thank goodness. She deserves every happiness the world has to offer, but just because she found a loving home does not mean their amazing work ends. There are still plenty of cats for adoption, like Ary, who has a lot of love to give:
@almosthomehumaneJust kidding. Ary is literally an angel in a calico body. #humanesociety #ahhs #fyp #sheltercat
♬ original sound - Petty PicassoAry deserves a home, too. Preferably a home with some boxes to lounge in! If you'd like to adopt a cat, dog, or a pocket pet at Almost Home Humane, you'll have to stop in and meet the pets in person!
Older Cats Wait LongerA sad reality of shelter life is, unfortunately, that older cats typically wait longer in shelters. Kittens tend to go like hotcakes, and even previously-adopted shelter kittens are at risk of being re-surrendered as they age.
Cat, wide-eyed in a cage.Image via Shutterstock / V2505
The older a cat gets, the harder it typically is to get them adopted. There are several reasons why this is the case:
- People are worried about bad habits.
- They're thinking about how much time they might have left.
- They're concerned about potential medical issues.
Older cats wait longer, and cats who have been in the shelter for a long time also tend to wait longer. It's a vicious cycle, but it can be broken. When you're considering getting a cat, please make sure you look at the older ones, too!

Adorable Cat’s Ability To Look Sad, Shocked, and Concerned in One Clip Is Legendary
Being a cat parent, you know that they're not always the most expressive creatures. Dogs tend to communicate more, but just because cats chatter in quieter ways, that doesn't mean they have nothing to say; it just might be a little different.
Like this one cat, for example. Her parents have dubbed her the "Queen of Facial Expressions" because she leaves no room for confusion about what she's thinking or feeling, as her face says it all. But you truly never know which mood is loading next.

♬ original sound - 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐒 ⋆˙⟡@suki_purrs shared a video of their beautiful cat named Suki, who has a very fun way of communicating. Like other kitties, she uses her facial expressions and body language to convey what and how she's feeling, but she just happens to have a lot more in her repertoire to draw on.
It's a very short clip, but we get to see a wide variety of her facial expressions in this compilation. She goes from straight worried to super mad, then confused and shocked, cozy and happy, and everything else in between.

One person wrote, "I had a student once who had a resting worried face. This cat reminds me of them."
Another shared, "She’s experiencing a lot of shock and concern, apparently."
Someone else added, "She has all the expressions a girl needs on this godforsaken earth."
Other comments included, "Shock, judgment, despair, doom," "Confused and concerned at the same time," "Mentally plotting your demise," "Why does she look so shocked and disappointed at the same time?" "I'm afraid she’s gonna judge me," "OK, 95% of those are just existential crises," and "She has seen all horrors in the world known to man."

Cats Can Say a Whole Lot Without Saying Much at AllWe don't speak the same language as our cats, but they do tell us a lot through their expressions and body language, according to experts.
According to The Refined Feline, cats use more than 300 subtle facial cues to show what or how they're feeling, and those cues can range from happy and relaxed to affectionate, curious, or stressed out and angry. This could include things like slowly blinking, giving little head nudges, having their ears flat or forward, having the whiskers lie on their face, changing of the pupils of their eyes, and the way they're sitting.
The site also claims that kitties can recognize and understand our facial expressions and emotions, too, which is so cool. And it's important to know if you're a cat parent, communication isn't just about what we say.
If you have an expressive cat like sweet Suki, you're very lucky.

Why Is Active Play Important?Physical and mental stimulation come in all forms. Your kitty will let you know its preferences. New smells, sounds and objects will trigger its curiosity and attention. An assortment of enrichments is important, including places to climb, lounge, hide, stalk, paw and scratch.
Have several activity toys on hand to keep kitties interested. New is always exciting, but you don't need to continually buy new items. Rotate activities to hinder boredom and maintain enthusiasm. Check out another Alilang interactive cat puzzle toy or a cat exercise wheel to add to your rotating inventory of entertainment for your marvelous mouser.
Alleviating boredom and stress is essential for cat health. Playing with your pet keeps them entertained. Use a laser pointer or feathers on a fishing pole to encourage hunting and chasing. Some cats will play fetch with small stuffed toys or even twist ties. Mutual play strengthens your relationship with your feline and keeps it active.
Even adding a companion for your cat can bring added benefits, such as grooming and snuggling, to give both pets a stronger sense of fulfillment. An extra company can be another feline or even a cat-friendly pup. Introducing another animal to the household will require lots of time and patience.
Whatever path you choose to keep your pet stimulated, healthy and happy, make sure it's right for you, the family and the environment, as well as your animals. Alilang's Round Interactive Cat Scratcher Toy with Jingle Balls for $50 at Kohl's is a great way to start.
Rare Twist in UK Dog Ban Debate Involves Queen Elizabeth II's Favorite Breed
Queen Elizabeth II received her first personal corgi, named Susan, as an 18th birthday present in 1944. The Royal Family welcomed their first corgi, named Dookie, in 1933. However, Susan was the dog that started the famous breeding line of Queen Elizabeth.
And now, it seems like the famous line is in danger of becoming extinct. Corgis were a constant in Queen Elizabeth II's life and her reign. Many of her later dogs were direct descendants of Susan.
Now, the United Kingdom's Kennel Club looks to put an end to the line. According to reports, 67 dog breeds in total could be banned in Britain if the new breeding guidelines set by parliament become mandatory. The all-party parliamentary group for animal welfare has launched a new tool to determine whether a dog is healthy or not.
Corgis' main features, short legs and closeness to the ground, have long been favored among dog parents. But now, they are in danger because the assessment is currently voluntary, but it can become law within five years.
The assessment looks at mottled coloration, excessive skin folds, bulging outward-turning eyes, drooping eyelids, under- or overbite, and a muzzle that interferes with breathing. Breeds that fall into one of these categories will be banned.
Related: Ever Wonder Why Your Dog Is So Protective or Sweet? Their Coat Color Could Be the Clue
Queen Elizabeth and Her CorgisAccording to some sources, Queen Elizabeth had more than 30 corgis throughout her lifetime. Susan was her first dog, and she continuously bred the famous line. Over the years, there have been many documentaries and stories about her bond with Corgis. One, below, is by Vanity Fair.
However, in 2012, she stopped breeding corgis. She had a logical reason for it. The Queen didn't want to leave any young dog behind after her passing. Yes, she lived much longer after that, but the Queen was cautious and wanted her dogs cared for.
Her last descendant of the Susan line passed away in 2018. His name was Willow.
Corgi Lifespan and Health RisksAccording to the American Kennel Club, the average lifespan of a corgi is between 12 and 15 years. Because of their long backs and build, corgis are at a higher risk for intervertebral disc disease. This type of problem causes back pain, weakness, and in some cases, paralysis among dogs.
They are also prone to hip dysplasia and eye conditions. That doesn't mean that these dogs are fragile or unhealthy. It means that dog parents have to plan accordingly.
For example, to lessen the pressure, dog parents should use ramps instead of stairs. They should also pay attention to their dog's nutrition and weight. Overweight dogs have a higher risk of health issues. Last, but not least, corgi owners should not encourage repeated high jumps for a ball. They should find alternative ways to play and for mental stimulation.
Golden Retriever Treats Mom’s Hair Ties Like Priceless Treasure
Every dog has that one forbidden item they treasure above all else, or an object that they think has been made and brought home to entertain them only, not caring if it’s actually for something else entirely. And for one Golden Retriever, his new prized possession is something that’s not just his mom’s to begin with, but it’s literally on her wrist, and he still thinks it should only be for him.
This video shows the proud Golden Retriever doing his best to take what’s not his with unwavering determination. To him, it’s serious business, and he’s got no interest in backing off until it’s his. Take a look!

Benny is hanging out with his mom, and he notices she has a hair tie on her wrist, something many of us with longer hair keep around our wrists in case we need one. But Benny doesn't seem to care that it's not his. Despite it being on his mama's wrist, he grabbed it with his teeth, carefully, I'm sure. And now he won't let go.

Golden Retrievers Really Love To PlayBenny seems like the happiest boy, even when he's trying to take a hair tie that's not his; he's doing it with a smile, and that's probably because he loves to play all Goldens do, according to experts.
PetPlan UK notes that Golden Retrievers are naturally "fun-loving" and have a "playful temperament" that endures well into their senior years. They're always ready to play, whether it's going out to play fetch with a ball or a Frisbee, going out to swim, playing tug-of-war, or even doing some sort of work job because that feels like a fun time for Goldens, too.
We love that Benny is having a riot trying to steal the hair tie off his mom’s wrist, and that he’ll probably continue to do the same thing every time he sees one.
Goldendoodle Chooses Her Favorite Human Right After Being Adopted and It's Pure Sweetness
Some dogs take weeks to settle in, and some come home like they have always belonged. Lexi, a Goldendoodle, is clearly in the second category, and she makes it known from the very first car ride. If you are ever worried your adopted pup will be shy, reserved, or unsure, Lexi is here to lovingly remind you that sometimes, they choose their person immediately, loudly, and with zero hesitation.
In the video, Lexi is perched in the front seat, eyes fixed on the door like it is the most important thing in the world. She is not interested in snacks, scenery, or small talk. She is on a mission. The caption sets the scene perfectly: “POV: you just adopted her… and she already picked her favorite human.” Her new family has only had her for a short time, but the moment the boyfriend, now officially “Dad,” steps out of the car, Lexi starts whining and staring at the door with tiny cries that basically translate to, “Dad, where are you?” Meanwhile, her adopter is right there in the back seat, fully present, completely supportive, and apparently invisible.
@lexidoodleliciousPOV: you just adopted her… and she already picked her favorite human. She had only been with us for a short time, but somehow she had already chosen her person. The moment my boyfriend , her dad, stepped out of the car, she kept staring at the door, little cries like, “Dad, where are you?” meanwhile I was right there in the back seat…completely invisible. When your dog loves your boyfriend so much that you don’t even exist — even when he’s not there. #dogsoftiktok #goldendoodle #puppylove #dogmom #dogcrying
♬ original sound - Lexi the DoodleIt's the kind of funny that stings just a little, because it is also so real. The caption nails that feeling too, “When your dog loves your boyfriend so much that you don’t even exist, even when he’s not there.” Lexi is not being mean; she is being wholehearted. She is showing what safety looks like to her in that moment, and she is not afraid to announce it.
Of course, not every rescue story moves at Lexi speed. My dog Lola is also a rescue, and it took her a lot longer to trust. She needed patience, routine, and a steady stream of proof that she was safe before she fully softened into the kind of love that feels effortless. That is why Lexi’s instant devotion is so sweet, because it is one of many ways that healing can show up. Sometimes it is slow, sometimes it is immediate, and sometimes it is a front-seat Goldendoodle crying for “Dad” like she has known him forever.
And the comments section is exactly what you would hope. One person simply wrote, “Love her ❤️❤️” and honestly, same.
When They Pick a Person, Love the ProcessIf your new dog instantly crowns someone “the chosen one,” don’t panic, and definitely don’t take it personally. Keep things steady and shared: rotate who feeds her, who does the leash and harness, who handles treats, and who gets the calm cuddle time. That way, your pup learns that safety and comfort come from the whole household, not just one magical human with apparently irresistible vibes.
According to the ASPCA, many adopted dogs adjust best with patience, predictable routines, and positive reinforcement, especially during those first days and weeks when everything is new. In practice, that can look like consistent schedules, gentle praise for calm behavior, and giving your dog space to decompress without forcing affection, even if she is already obsessed with one person.
Just remember: you’re not chopped liver, you’re the supporting actor in The Dad Show.
