Family’s Sweet Rescue Dog Suddenly Turns on Dad the Moment Pizza Appears
Being in a strange and unfamiliar place is stressful for anyone, and that holds true for dogs, too. Rescue pups often settle in with time and a lot of love and attention, which is essential as you get to know each other. And that's important since, like people, dogs have their own unique quirks and personalities.
We see that play out as true in this video, where a rescue dog is settling into his home with his foster parents. He's adjusting to the new space, sounds, smells, and routine, and has been pretty chill. Well, that is, until his parents sat down for dinner one night, and it seems they were having his favorite food.
@simonsitsNo because why are they actually arguing 😩 @Muddy Paws Rescue
♬ Valse Des Patineurs (Main) - Intermede MusicTikTok user Isabel Klee (@simonsits) shared a video of their new rescue foster dog, who was unexpectedly taken home by Isabel when she visited the shelter for a different reason. The cute pup needed some attention and love; she was happy to provide it, and along the way, they learned a lot about each other. Specifically, much was learned about Labubu's love of pizza.
Related: Golden Retriever Puppy’s Attention Tactics Are Annoying, but Impossible To Resist
In the clip, Labubu is hanging out with his family: his mom, dad, and dog brother. He was adjusting well to his surroundings, and he seemed very calm and relaxed. Then the family had pizza for dinner, but Dad didn't want to give him a bite, and his personality completely changed. It's hilarious because it looks like the sweet pup either really loves pizza or he completely despises it. But either way, it's so funny to see him be so vocal about it.
In the comments, thousands of people took Labubu's side with the pizza situation.
One person wrote, "My dad saves crusts for his dog. He calls them pizza bones."
Another shared, "I think someone used to get the pizza bones, and he wants you to know about it."
Someone else added, "He can't tell [you] where he’s been or where he’s from, but he will make sure [you] know he wants pizza."
Other comments included, "He said I TRIED ASKING NICELY MR ISABEL," "He came from the streets of NY he knows pizza," "Noted: no Creed, no pizza," "It’s his right as a New Yorker to express strong, loud feelings about pizza," and "He wanted to make sure you knew pizza bones were his favorite. He has excellent communication skills!"

How To Help Your Rescue Dog Feel Safe and SecureLabubu is the silliest little pizza-loving dog, and we can see how loved and cared for he is with his current foster parents. And because he's so comfortable, it's safe to assume they're taking all the steps to help their rescue dog feel secure, which is important.
According to the Animal Humane Society, if you have a rescue dog who is feeling a little insecure, anxious, or fearful, a few easy-to-follow rules can make a big difference. This includes things like taking your pup out for exercise, avoiding really stressful situations, maintaining eye contact, especially in those first few days, using treats, time, and toys to help them see that you're there to keep them safe, happy, and loved.
And, in doing those steps, in no time you'll start to see more of the pup's personality come through, like silly Labubu here.

Sweet Cat 'Sent From Above' Honors Late Sibling Through Favorite Hobby
Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a pet, because they're so much more than a furry companion. They're our best therapists when we need to cry or vent, they offer the sweetest hugs and kisses any time we need them, and they love us unconditionally. No other relationship in life can compare to a bond with your pet, which is why losing them hurts so much.
One beloved cat named Ella gained viral stardom for her quirky, human-like hobby. So when she passed, her family and fans felt the void, hard. Almost as if directed by Ella herself, Mom's new rescue kitty named Acorn channeled her late sister to enjoy the same hobby, and it's the sweetest sight.

♬ original sound - Sven and RobbieThat clip, as well as the multiple others honoring her sibling, should come with an "Apologies in advance because you will 100% cry" warning. Acorn joined the family, younger and smaller than Ella, but she looked up to her right away. Clearly, she learned a thing or two—like how much fun it is to watch TV and movies—because she's following in her sister's paw prints perfectly.
Acorn, who came in after the loss of Ella, was definitely a gift. It may have taken awhile for resident grieving kitty, Jovie, to get used to the idea of another cat that wasn't Ella, but it's all good now.

Keeping Ella's Memory AliveElla passed on October 4, 2025, at the age of 16, so it's taking some time for the special cat's siblings to get used to a world without her fighting spirit.
She'd been in and out of shelters for the first 10 years of her life, but thankfully had an amazing final 6 years before she passed peacefully in Mom's arms with her favorite movie, The Grinch, playing in the background. She lived the best life with her forever family, and I have no doubt she's watching all her favorite movies in the sky.
Warning: Apologies in advance because you will 100% cry watching this one.
@ellawatchestv_We said goodbye to you today. We sat in silence most of the morning just waiting for the veterinarian to come. You were so sick and so tired. We put The Grinch on in the background, low volume. We let you stay in your window for the first injection. You adjusted yourself, only to immediately get comfortable and start to drift, and looked towards the TV while your eyes began to close. The vet handed you to me for the final injection and I held onto you as you took your final breath. It was so quick. I held onto you as long as I could before it was time for you to go. I took in your fur, your eyes, and how your once pink nose was no longer pink. I didn’t want to be home after, I needed to get air. We went for a drive and reminisced about you. I said, “I wonder what sign she will send me when she gets there,” and then When She Loved Me began playing. I started to both laugh and cry. The next was Spirit in the Sky. I laughed and said, “She’s messing with me right now.” We went into Trader Joe’s and so many people were buying flowers. I had never seen that many people buying flowers. It was as if they knew. But it also felt strange when the cashier asked how we were doing. I can’t say, “Horrible. My cat died in my arms an hour ago.” So I said, “Good. How are you?” It’s an odd feeling watching the world around us go on like you didn’t just die. Why are my neighbors laughing on their porch? Why are they taking their dogs out on a walk? Don’t they know my cat just died? Don’t they know my world has ended? You were my best friend. You got me through so much, you witnessed so much, and you were there for me - always. I don’t think I will ever stop missing you. Until we meet again.

Aussie and Border Collie Meet on a Trail—What Happens Next Is Heartwarming
For herding dogs, a long walk might not be enough. These dogs thrive on mental engagement, problem-solving and controlled movement. When they get a chance to play with another dog that needs the same stimulation, it is like watching a choreographed dance.
While most dogs greet each other with a sniff and a tail wag, herding dogs might skip the pleasantries and go straight to work—or play.
We can see that behavior in a recent video shared on the social media platform Reddit. The post shows an interaction between a border collie and an Australian shepherd. The two dogs were rolling on the trail, wagging their tails as they were moving to each other.
Border Collie meets Australian Shepherd: "OMG I like you so much can we be friends? Yes? YES! Let's go!!"by u/ansyhrrian in DOG
But the moment they came close to play, everything changed. They started running, herding each other and going wild—and that is exactly the type of play herding dogs love.
Related: Goat Who Thinks He's a Dog Goes on Walk and Completely Blends In
What Are Fans Saying About It?Most fans instantly recognized the connection between the two. They also understood how herding dogs play. One person commented, “Nothing amuses me more than when 2 (or more lol) herding dogs play and wind up just running around herding each other. I have a heeler mix and she and her herding friends will do that at the dog park sometimes; they are always so clearly having a blast and it always makes me laugh.”
More fans commented on the fun (and chaos) they create. One person said, “They both somehow simultaneously occupy the same point on the mentally chaotic spectrum.” Another person wrote, “border collies really do treat every encounter like the best moment of their day.”
But the best comment came from a person who compared the encounter with humans in love, saying, “If these two were teenage sweethearts, every phone conversation would end with ‘You hang up first. No, youuuuu! Nooooooo, youuuuuuuu!!! Lololol.’”
How Do Herding Dogs Play? For herding dogs, play turns into instinct in motion. They were bred to control movement. Not with force, but with positioning, eye contact and speed. Those instincts don’t switch off just because there are no sheep around.
When two herding breeds meet, play often becomes a kind of mutual herding exercise. One runs, the other cuts them off. They switch roles. They test reactions. For people who do not own herding dogs, it might look chaotic. But look closely, and you will see the pattern.
Both border collies and Australian shepherds are highly responsive to motion. Their brains are wired to track, anticipate and influence direction. So when these two dogs meet on a trail, they’re not just playing. They’re communicating in a language built on movement.

The caption reads, “Hiç bu kadar büyüğünü görmüş,” and even if you do not speak the language, the vibe is very much, “Have you EVER seen something this big?” because… same.
The comments were immediate chaos.
“What in the Jurassic Park bunny? Do you have carrots big enough for that one?”
“Your bunny’s head is the same size as yours.”
“I want one so badly!”
And of course, the inevitable disbelief.
Several viewers were convinced this could not possibly be real.
Which is when the experts entered the chat.
“Real. They’re called Continental Giants. I had two of them.”
Others tried to process it in their own ways.
“It’s like a Cadbury bunny and a capybara made a baby.”
“It’s breathing in all uppercase letters!”
And one person summed up the confusion perfectly.
“Can I pet that dog?”
Honestly, fair question.
What Are Continental Giant Rabbits? @yourfaithrestoredCheck of this video from Breeder Ron Demaskes, one of the few Continental rabbit breeders in the world. These rabbits were specifically breed to be as large as possible. While not a recognized breed by the arca, the popularity of the breed has led to discussions about inclusion in the near future.
♬ original sound - YourFaithRestoredContinental Giant Rabbits are one of the largest rabbit breeds in the world, and yes, they really do get this big. These gentle giants can weigh anywhere from 15 to over 20 pounds, with long, powerful bodies that can easily rival the size of a medium to large dog.
Despite their impressive size, they are known for being calm, friendly, and surprisingly affectionate. Many pet parents describe them as having dog-like personalities, often enjoying attention, interaction, and even following their humans around the house.
However, because of their size, they require plenty of space, a proper diet, and dedicated care to stay healthy and comfortable.
So while they may look like something out of a fantasy movie, they are very real.
And once you see one in person, there is no going back. Just add it to our dream bucket list of adorable pets we'd love to care for!

Golden Retriever Refuses To Walk on Tin Foil in Cute, Funny Clip
Dogs can have some unique fears. My Pug mix is a rescue from Puerto Rico and was scared of stairs when he first came to our home. He had no idea how to navigate these layered slabs of carpeted wood and it took some time for him to get over his trepidation. Though he still gets a little stuck from time to time — especially at long staircases — he's made a lot of progress.
Pearl and Poppi are two Golden Retriever sisters who encountered an odd surface on the floor and were afraid to place their paws on it. One of the canine cuties finally took the first step.
@pearlgoldengirlDid you know how spooky aluminum foil can be?! 🤣 that little spin and the treat jar really helped #funnydog #funny #aluminumfoil
♬ Sneaky Sneaky - Gold-TigerIn the TikTok from @pearlthegoldengirl, the dogs' mom spread out some tin foil on the floor and walked across it for a little experiment as Pearl and Poppi watched with confusion.
"Apparently, dogs will not walk across tin foil," the onscreen text explained.
Poppi's curiosity got the best of her, so she stepped up to the shiny surface to check it out. She literally stopped short before placing a paw on the tin foil for fear of what might happen. The gorgeous Golden looked straight ahead, trying to figure out how to get across without stepping on the foreign material.
Poppi spun around to strategize another way to get to where she needed to go, but to no avail. Big sister Pearl came over, hoping to help somehow. She gave the tin foil a few sniffs to confirm it was safe, then proceeded to show her little sis how it's done.
Poppi Got BraveThe younger Golden stared in amazement after Pearl achieved her goal, then watched her dad jump right over the tin foil without even touching it. The precious pooch wanted to join her family on the other side and knew she had to be brave.
Related: Golden Retriever Has Sweetest Reaction When He Sees Mom Stay at Groomer
Her parents cheered her on as Poppi hesitantly tried taking a step. Finally, her mom brought out the treat jar for extra motivation, and that did the trick. Poppi courageously crossed that crinkly substance and was greeted with lots of praise.
Dogs are usually averse to the crinkling sound of tin foil as well as its shiny sheen and sharp texture. Still, maybe your pooch will overcome their foil fear like Pearl and Poppi if you have the right treats.

7 Everyday Words That Cause Cat Stress and Anxiety, Says Vet
If you are a cat parent, you've probably been there: One second, your cat is happy as a clam, rubbing up on you and purring. The next thing you know, your feline friend is skittish, giving you the bushy tail or scurrying away. Could it be something you said? Maybe. After all words do matter to cats. But because cats do not process words the same way as their human caretakers do and since cats communicate differently, it can be tricky to figure out what you said that upset your feline. To help you understand your cat better, a vet shares 7 everyday words that makes cats anxious and stresses them out.
"Cats can recognize words rather than understand them," says Dr. Chyrle Bonk, DVM, an Embrace Pet Insurance veterinarian contributor. "Their recognition comes through sounds, association and repetition. Most cats seem to understand 20 to 50 words." So, why do some words and phrases give cats anxiety? There are some common words that stress a cat out, usually because they've learned to associate them with something negative. However, since cats do their talking without words and express their feelings in non-verbal ways, you'll need to decode your cat's body language and behaviors so you can learn the signs your cat is stressed, nervous or anxious after hearing something. "Stress in cats usually comes out as a change in behavior," Dr. Bonk says. "Cats may become suddenly clingy or hide more. They may overgroom as well, which can result in bald spots on their skin. They can also become overly vocal, have an increased or decreased appetite and start eliminating outside the litter box."
To find out how to reduce cat stress at home and figure out what stresses cats out the most, keep reading. After all, most pet owners, don’t realize that certain words and phrases can overwhlem their furry family member, so you may be surprised to learn some of the things that cause your cat anxiety and what words cats hate the most. Once you know, you'll be able to stop using them.

7 Words That Make Cats AnxiousGetty Images Boy_Anupong
Knowing the words that stress cats out can help reduce cat anxiety, improve your cat's behavior and strengthen your bond. Many everyday phrases can trigger a cat without you realizing it. See what Dr. Bonk says are 7 common words that cause cat stress, why they matter, and how to keep your cat calm.
1. "Belly rub?"This phrase can easily trigger cat stress if it’s followed by unwanted touch. This one is really going to send a cat spiraling if people regularly treat this question as rhetorical and then actually rub their bellies. "Most cats don’t like their bellies rubbed," Dr. Bonk explains. It's just a reminder that cats are not dogs. "When cats allow their belly to be touched is the ultimate sign of vulnerability, and so most cats won’t go for it," Dr. Bonk notes. "Over time, they can start to associate the words belly rub with the action and become stressed. Follow your cat’s lead on this. If they don’t want to be touched on their belly, don’t touch it."
Understanding that this is a common word cats hates can help improve your cat’s mood and overall well-being so your cat feels more like part of your family. If you want to show your cat affection and reduce your cat's anxiety, Dr. Bonk reveals that many cats usually adore being petted on spots like the head, neck, and back.
2. "Stop!"Another common mistakes cat owners make is yelling 'stop' as it can cause alarm bells in a kitty's mind if it's said loudly. "Any word said in a loud voice can be stressful to a cat, especially if it is associated with some sort of punishment," Dr. Bonk shares.
That's not to say you should engage in "permissive pet parenting." It's OK to have boundaries, which, by the way, can keep cats safe. However, a firm and kind approach is more effective. "Instead of yelling at your cat to 'stop' or punishing them for doing something wrong, redirect their behavior," Dr. Bonk advises. "So, if your cat is nipping at you during play, instead of yelling a word that give them anxiety, just stop the action yourself and don’t restart until your cat is calm and can play without nipping."
3. "Vet"One word many cat hate is 'vet' a common trigger for cat stress and cat anxiety. However, it's not just about the trip to the vet, but how the cat has to get there in the first place. "Most cats don’t like to go for car rides because they never get to go anywhere fun," Dr. Bonk says. "Their car trips are often to the vet, where they get poked, prodded or more. It’s no wonder that they start to associate the word vet with stress."
Dr. Bonk says you can work with your cat to find positive associations with the vet. "Most clinics welcome visits just to say hi," Dr. Bonk suggests. "Bring your cat in just to be petted or given treats rather than shots."
Related: 6 Best Lap Cats, According to Vets
4. "Brush"When it comes to words that stress cats out, 'brush' is one of them. Cats may link this word with grooming and that's what causes them to not like hearing it. "Cats do a pretty good job of keeping themselves well-groomed, but most can still benefit from a little human help, especially older kitties or those with long hair," Dr. Bonk says.
Still, that doesn't mean cats want to take you up on your offer to help them look their best. "When the brush comes out, it’s usually because the cat has a tangle or mat in their hair that they can’t take care of themselves," Dr. Bonk explains. "Brushing these can cause pain and discomfort, something your cat may associate with the word 'brush' itself."
Your best bet is to avoid the mats and tangles in the first place, Dr. Bonk says. "Regularly groom your cat before there’s an issue," Dr. Bonk recommends. "Associate the brush with a bonding moment, complete with treats and love instead of pain."
5. "Dog"First things first: "Not all cats hate dogs, but let’s face it, most don’t like to be greeted in the way a dog prefers," Dr. Bonk says. Because of this, hearing the word 'dog' can be a cause of cat anxiety. Dr. Bonk shares that the nose-to-face greetings dogs love can be scary for some cats, and they may associate the word 'dog' with that fear (or with being chased or another bad experience).
To help make your cat feel less stressed when you say that word, switch up how your cat nteracts with dogs. "Try to make interactions with dogs more positive by keeping the dog restrained so the cat is in the driver’s seat for how the interaction goes," Dr. Bonk advises.
6. "Medicine"Where's Mary Poppins with a cat-friendly version of a spoonful of sugar when you need her? Cats may go on high alert when you say 'medicine,' even if taking it is vital to their health. "Giving a cat a pill or other type of medication isn’t on anyone’s preferred list, your cat's included," Dr. Bonk states. "The word 'medicine' can elicit memories of being held down, gagging on pills or having a terrible taste in their mouth, all of which can be very stressful."
If the word 'medicine' regularly spikes your cat's anxiety, your vet may be able to help. "Talk to your vet about other options for giving medications and the best, low-stress ways to do it," Dr. Bonk says. "Then, reward your cat when the job is done."
Once you recognize your cat’s stress signals and have an idea of what words you should aviod, around your cat, you’ll see that your bond will grow even more and your cat will be happy.
7. "Kitty!"According to Dr. Bonk, 'kitty' is one of the words that stress a cat out, but it's more about the tone a person uses when they say it. For example, a soft "here, kitty, kitty" from a trusted and beloved human is unlikely to put a cat on high alert or send them fleeing.
"Loud, punctuated words from anyone can be unnerving for a sensitive cat, especially if it’s coming from an unfamiliar person," Dr. Bonk notes. "To decrease this stress, supervise all interactions with your cat. Educate other people on how to be quiet, gentle and allow your cat to come to them first."

New Study Reveals the 10 Least Dog-Friendly Cities in 2026
If you’ve always dreamed of becoming a pet parent, you’ve probably thought about which dog breed you want and what name you’ll give your furry companion. However, one important factor you may not have considered is where you live. After all, your location can play a major role in your dog’s overall happiness and, in some cases, make pet ownership more challenging. If you’re curious what the top 10 least dog-friendly cities are, you’re in luck because a new 2026 study reveals just that.
In fact, Independent game studio, Windup Minds, which is the creator of the PC pet simulator Stay: Your Forever Pet, just released a ranking of America’s least dog-friendly cities. The data highlights the divide in dog ownership access across different U.S. cities. While some cities foster pet-friendly communities, others prove to make it difficult to bring a dog home. The study was evaluated using publicly available data across six categories, including dog parks per capita, walkability scores, access to trails and green space, density of pet services, average weather suitability for outdoor activity, and local rental and housing policies affecting pet ownership. Therefore, the overall rankings represent a composite score across all categories.
Read on to discover if you call one of these places home. If you do, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a dog—it simply means your city may not be as dog-friendly as others. With a little extra planning, care, and attention, you can still create a happy and comfortable life for your furry family member.

#1 Least Dog-Friendly City in the United StatesWhile this place is considered a haven to some people and a tropical retreat, it sadly is not ranked as a great place to have a pet. Can you guess what it is? You may be surprised! Drumroll....The answer is Honolulu, Hawaii.
According to the study, no matter if you have a big dog or a little dog, it's not the best place to raise a pup. The reason? The study suggests Honolulu's isolation and high housing costs create compounding difficulties for owning a pet. On top of that, it notes that the fact that most people live in small apartments there with restrictive rental rules and limited green space in crowded neighborhoods makes it hard for dogs to have a place to play and be active in that city compared to other cities in the United States.

To make things even better, the captions over the video “translate” what the French Bulldog supposedly saying.
“I slept all day, let’s go to the park right now.”
“I threw up on the bed real bad.”
“You have too much bed space. Move to the side.”
“I want under the covers… now I want out.”
So not only is he loud, but he is also deeply unreasonable.
The comments were just as chaotic.
“My Frenchie didn’t come with these sounds installed.”
“I believe EVERYTHING this baby is saying!”
“He’s got a lot to get off his small chest.”
And one person said what we were all thinking.
“Ma’am, I think you forgot to turn off your Furby.”
Honestly, yes. That is exactly the vibe.
You can practically hear the attitude in every single noise. There are demands. There are complaints. There may even be accusations.
This is not a conversation. This is a 2 AM press conference. I'm exhausted just listening to this pupper.
Are Frenchies Loud Dogs? Black-and-white French Bulldog.Image Via: Dragan Mujan/Shutterstock
French Bulldogs are not typically known for excessive barking, but they are absolutely known for being vocal in their own… very unique ways.
Instead of classic barking, many Frenchies make a range of sounds, including grumbles, yodels, snorts, and what can only be described as dramatic commentary on whatever is happening around them.
They are expressive, opinionated, and very attached to their people, which means if they have something to say, they are going to say it, even if it is in the middle of the night.
So while they may not be the loudest breed in a traditional sense, they might be one of the most memorable.
Especially if they sound like Archie.

Bougie Black Labrador Has Her Very Own Ralph Lauren Coffee Shop
If your dog is going to have their own pretend coffee shop, it may as well be the bougiest one in the business.
That is exactly what Poppy, a Black Lab, did with her very own Ralph's Coffee Bar.
Ralph's Coffee Bar, as in Ralph Lauren, is a coffee shop that first opened in New York City in 2014 as part of the Ralph Lauren brand.
Known for its beautiful green-and-white aesthetic, it has become one of the most popular coffee shops on social media.
So why wouldn't Poppy want the best of the best with her little pretend coffee bar?
The video shows that the coffee bar started off as just her water and food bowls, and now those bowls are in her own green-and-white coffee cart, complete with an awning, menu, and Ralph's Coffee cups.
Instead of it saying "Ralph's Coffee," it says "Poppy's Coffee," fittingly.
In the video, Poppy also stands there with a little green-and-white bandana.
Perfection!

German Shepherd Puppy Busts Out of His Playpen Like a Tiny Jailbreaker
German Shepherd puppies are known for being smart, curious, and occasionally a little too confident for their own good. One tiny German Shepherd puppy recently proved that even the cutest kennel plans can fall apart the moment a determined pup decides rules are more like suggestions.
What started as an attempt to take a sweet photo of a new puppy quickly turned into a full-blown prison break.
@gabbyxbellSend help pls #germanshepherd #puppy
♬ Welp, Didn't Expect That - Yu-Peng Chen & HOYO-MiXThe hilarious clip shared by @gabbyxbell on TikTok shows an adorable German Shepherd puppy inside a small white playpen. At first, it looks like a normal puppy setup designed to keep the little guy safely contained.
That illusion lasts about three seconds.
Related: Sable German Shepherd Puppy’s Fur Color Is Impossible To Ignore
The caption explains what happened: “I tried to take a cute pic of our new puppy only to learn he can now do this.”
In the video, the fluffy German Shepherd puppy simply climbs right over the top of the playpen in a floppy pile of oversized ears and paws. Once he lands on the other side, he immediately trots over to his human mom like he just completed a perfectly normal task.
The whole thing has the exact same energy as the Kool-Aid Man bursting through a wall.
Viewers in the comments loved the tiny jailbreak.
“Weird obstacle, whatever, hi mom,” one person joked.
Another viewer pointed out that the playpen clearly did not intimidate the puppy.
“He takes the playpen as more of a suggestion.”
Others said this was inevitable with such a clever breed.
“It’s cute you thought that little thing was going to contain a German Shepherd pup.”
And of course, people could not stop talking about the floppy puppy ears.
“German Shepherd puppy ears are the cutest ever, lol.”
One commenter noticed how quickly the little escape artist ran to his human.
“Awww, the little trot over to you.”
Another viewer predicted the future.
“Oh, he’s going to be a bad teenager, and I know it!”
Why It's a Good Idea To Crate-Train Your Puppy Australian Shepherd puppy sleeping in a crate.Image Via: Audreycmk/Shutterstock
Training a puppy to be comfortable in a crate can be incredibly helpful for both the dog and the family. I mean, have you ever tried mopping your floor with a dog around? Crate-training gives puppies a safe place to relax, sleep, and settle down when they need a break from the excitement of the world.
It can also help with house-training because dogs naturally prefer not to go to the bathroom where they sleep. When used correctly, a crate becomes a cozy den rather than a punishment.
Many trainers recommend introducing the crate slowly, using treats, toys, and positive experiences, so the puppy associates it with comfort and safety.
How Long Does It Take To Crate-Train a Puppy Little Chihuahua crate-training.Image Via: padu_foto/Shutterstock
Every puppy learns at a different pace, but many puppies begin to feel comfortable with crate-training within a few days to a few weeks, if the process is handled consistently and positively.
Consistency from the whole household is especially important. Everyone needs to follow the same routine, so the puppy understands what to expect.
We actually tried to crate-train our Pomeranian, Kingston, when he was a puppy, but my daughter quickly decided he needed to sleep in her bed instead. Once that decision was made, the entire plan fell apart because everyone in the family has to be on the same page when it comes to crate-training.
Otherwise, the puppy learns very quickly which human to negotiate with.
And if this German Shepherd puppy’s playpen escape is any indication, some puppies are already planning their next jailbreak before the crate door even closes.

Hilarious Frenchie Doesn’t Back Down During Car Wash Showdown
Nothing beats the joy our little fur babies bring to our world. From daily doses of cuteness to the unconditional love they give us when we come home, a true pet companion is a treasure worth holding onto.
A recent video shared on Reddit by u/Alone_Interest_6393 reminds us all just how precious dogs can be. While the owner tries to wash their car, an adorable French Bulldog hops into frame, trying to bite at the water from the hose. The pup’s determination is undeniably hilarious, but it truly highlights just how silly, energetic and downright vigilant some breeds can be.

A Frenchie Is Always on DutyIn the video, the owner can be seen spraying their car down with a hose, only to be interrupted every couple of seconds by a determined French Bulldog trying to snag a bite of the stream. Like a scene straight out of a cartoon, his smiling face flies across the frame, getting both a mouthful and a face full of water with each enthusiastic attempt.
“Fighting the water to save the car,” the caption of the post reads, sparking plenty of side-splitting thoughts as fans pictured the adorable pup going to war with the hose.
“Now doggie looks like he’s performing in the circus,” one fan joked. “This dog is not taking water lightly,” another chimed in, while a third summed up exactly what we’re all thinking with: “cute!”

How Playful Are French Bulldogs? The truth is, most French Bulldogs have a playful streak. And while they can certainly mimic your behaviors, it’s important to keep them entertained, because a bored Frenchie might turn its attention to anything within reach. That said, Frenchies love to play games with their owners, and they can easily move beyond basic activities like fetch and tug-of-war to more advanced games, like hide and seek.
Like most active breeds, Frenchies benefit from up to an hour of exercise each day to keep their joints healthy and prevent weight gain, all while burning off energy in fun, engaging ways. But don’t worry, there will be no shortage of opportunities to activate their senses. They love to impress their owners and will work tirelessly in their own ways to make you smile, whether it’s on purpose or not.
When Playfulness Meets VigilanceOne thing you can rely on with French Bulldogs, aside from being a bundle of joy, is their vigilance. These little balls of energy are surprisingly alert, and spare no time figuring out immediately what’s happening in their space. They’ll be the first to let you know someone is at the door, and the last to say goodbye when someone is on their way out. Whether it’s the mail man, family visiting or a friend they see on a regular basis, if you’re coming into a Frenchie’s zone, you can expect to hear from them.
With that said, French Bulldogs aren’t built to be full-on guard dogs. Most of the time, their bark is more of a friendly heads-up rather than a full-blown aggressive attack. But while that may feel like they’re all bark and no bite, it doesn’t mean they won’t be ready to battle a persistent hose in your honor—just be prepared for an immediate cuddle session afterward.

Golden Retriever Siblings Look Like 'Before and After' Thanks to Muddy Mischief
Golden Retrieverbrothers Bauer and Maverick get into their fair share of mischief, but it was Bauer's antics that won the internet this time around. Caught red-handed and absolutely caked in mud, the teenage Golden was playfully scolded by his mom, who "left him alone for two minutes." Bauer ran around the pool carrying what looked like a piece of landscaping material in his mouth, and when questioned by both of his humans, he sat rather proudly while his very clean brother, Maverick, looked – and barked – on. It was a before-and-after shot that any parent of multiple dogs could easily relate to.
Bauer took his lumps like a champ and was told to jump in the pool to wash off. Not exactly a punishment if you ask me, but adorable nonetheless.

♬ Quirky Suspenseful Indie-Comedy(1115050) - Kenji UedaAs funny as this video is, the comments are almost more entertaining. Among some of my favorites:
"Oh, you didn't need to clarify that it wasn't Maverick; we knew which one it was."
"There is no shame in Bauer’s game."
"Not a single regret in his brain."
"The CLOUD of darkness that floated up in the water."
"Your pool cleaner deserves a raise!"
With four dogs (two Goldens and two Huskies), this family has its hands – and pool – full.

One Home, Multiple DogsParenting only one pooch, I have zero personal experience managing a multi-dog household. According to this post, written by the mom of seven (!) dogs, living with a pack can feel a little like running a very cute, very chaotic household. It only works when the human understands that no two dogs are exactly alike, even under the same roof.
In a multi-dog home, you’re balancing different personalities, energy levels, and life stages — from high-energy puppies who need constant activity to older dogs who just want a quiet place to nap. Creating harmony comes down to meeting each dog where they are.
Consistency helps set the tone. A predictable routine for meals, walks, and downtime can reduce stress and keep everyone on the same page. Just as important is making time for individual attention, whether that’s a quick walk, a training session, or a few minutes of one-on-one cuddle time.
Giving each dog their own space to retreat is also key, especially for seniors or more sensitive pups who need breaks from the group dynamic. For the more energetic dogs, regular exercise and mental stimulation (think puzzles, play sessions, or even daycare) can make a huge difference in keeping the peace at home.
At the end of the day, a happy multi-dog household is less about perfection and more about paying attention. When you tune into each dog’s needs and adjust accordingly, you create a home where everyone — humans included — can relax a little easier.
But not for too long. Just ask Bauer's mom.

Orange Cats Float in Tupperware During Bubble Bath in Self-Care Perfection
As pet parents, we do all kinds of strange things to keep our fur children happy. For instance, one of my three cats likes to play in the sink, so of course, I bought a water fountain that runs like an infinity pool so he can have at it anytime he likes. He's messy and toddler-like, but happy—and that's all that matters!
Peach and Pablo are two Orange Cats truly living their best lives, thanks to a mom who recognized their love of water. Cats aren't usually fans of bubble baths, but these two found a workaround, and they're not only fans, but now they demand it!
@peachandpabloNow we have 2 sailor kitties 😂💕
♬ Austin Powers Theme (Soul Bossa Nova) - N.Y. Jazz OrchestraIf my water-loving kitty sees this, he's going to ask that I do the same (and I will do it). Peach and Pablo floating in plastic tubs will now be how I think of chilling out with a tube in a lazy river. At first glance, you might think, "They're definitely Orange Cats doing orange things," but I think this feline pair is onto something!

As one fan appropriately praised, "What cute, little weirdos you have," and that nails it. I'm a big fan of cute, little weirdos—I have three felines, and they're all odd and quirky in their own ways. Though none of them enjoy this type of activity (yet), I assure you, each cat will find something equally as weird!
In case you're wondering how in the world this type of bubble bath event began, or how to teach your kitty to do it, there's a whole tab full of videos showcasing Peach's initial curiosity through to now. Here's the TLDR tub-floating evolution montage!
@peachandpabloPeaches dreams came true 🧡
♬ sun and moon - mage tears Why Do Some Cats Enjoy Baths? There's a big difference between bathing a kitty in the tub and letting them relax completely dry while floating in one. Still, the mysterious bathroom seems to be a popular spot for cats for a few reasons.
Hanging out on a cool, smooth surface (like the inside of a tub without water) or resting on a tiled bathroom floor both feel good. It can also be because the bathroom is a space we're in often, and if you know cats, anywhere we are is where they're going!
Some water-loving breeds, like Maine Coons, Siberians, and Ragdolls, enjoy putting their paws in the water or playing in it. Peach and Pablo don't need to explain why they enjoy their Tupperware tub time. If it makes them happy, then Mom's done her job!

Irish Wolfhound Mix Taking Control of His Walk Route Is the Cutest Boss King
My dogs love their walks and never want them to end. My Dachshund and my Pug mix will walk slower and stop for extra sniffs to stall for time. They know the route by heart and veer in the other direction when we head toward our house.
Henry the Irish Wolfhound mix often tries to outsmart his mom by blowing past a stop sign in the hopes of prolonging his walk.
@alaynasimonenothin’s gettin by this guy 😂 #dogsoftiktok #dogs #laughoutloud #funnydogs #sneaky
♬ original sound - alaynasimoneIn the TikTok from @alaynasimone, Henry was out for his walk with his mom and enjoying the fresh air. Though he looked like he didn't have a care in the world, Henry had a plan to extend his walk and was about to execute it.
"He knows that if we turn right at the stop sign it means a shorter walk," the onscreen text explained.
Henry saw the stop sign in his peripheral vision and knew he had to act fast in order for his walk to continue. He picked up the pace as he hugged the side wall and broke into a mini-sprint. The clever canine pulled his mom past the sign, hoping she didn't notice the mile marker. As soon as he felt he was in the clear, Henry resumed his normal pace.
"Nothing's getting by this guy," the caption read.
Followers gave props to the precious pooch for his perfectly orchestrated plan and seamlessly carrying it out.
"I love how he tried to get closer to the wall before he started running," one pointed out.
"He thought to himself, 'I was very smooth, good boy'," another remarked.
"Dogs are so smart. That is hysterical. He deserves the long walk after that," a follower raved.
"And wait for it... wait for it... NOW GO NOW NOW NOW," someone joked.
How Much Exercise Do Irish Wolfhounds Need? These gentle giants require daily exercise to keep them physically and mentally healthy. Approximately 60 to 90 minutes of activity throughout the day is sufficient for your Irish Wolfhound to expend energy and keep their body in shape.
Brisk walks, off-leash play in a dog park or fenced yard, and mentally stimulating games, such as puzzle toys or agility courses, are ideal for this beautiful breed.
Henry obviously prefers long walks!

When Do Cats Learn How to Make Biscuits?Though we're not sure exactly when Lola was separated from her mother, one thing is clear: the making biscuits instinct had already been perfected. That's something they learn early!

"Biscuit-making," or kneading, isn't a learned behavior: it's an instinctive one. Kittens knead while they nurse, which helps stimulate the flow of breastmilk. In fact, almost all young mammals do it. Even human babies!
They start doing it pretty much as soon as they're born, and even after they're weaned, many cats will continue to make biscuits as a comfort mechanism. They never give it up!

Golden Retriever Finally Accepts His New Puppy Sibling—and Now They’re Besties
Bringing home a new puppy is exciting. But for the resident dog, it can feel like their whole world just got flipped upside down.
That was exactly the case for Maui, an adult golden retriever who suddenly found himself sharing his space with a bouncy new golden retriever puppy named Hugo. While Hugo was ready to jump straight into best-friend mode, Maui…not so much.
🐶SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾
In a YouTube Short posted by @Mauithegoldenpup, Maui is seen keeping his distance. He avoids eye contact, ignores Hugo’s attempts to engage and generally acts like the new pup simply doesn't exist. Meanwhile, Hugo—full of that classic puppy enthusiasm—keeps trying to win him over with playful energy and gentle persistence.
The Adjustment Period Was Realhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/VYZhfa5lFlw
Just like people, dogs don’t always warm up to new siblings overnight, especially when they’re at completely different life stages.
Maui needed time to adjust to the changing dynamic and Hugo’s constant movement and attention-seeking. And while Hugo meant well, his puppy energy didn’t always land the way he hoped.
At one point, things even got a little chaotic during playtime, with Maui accidentally stampeding Hugo while interacting with another dog.
Related: Sibling Cats Wrestle Like Pros But Are Really Besties in Reality
Hugo Didn’t Give UpDespite the lukewarm reception, Hugo stayed determined. Instead of pushing too hard, he kept approaching Maui in softer, more relaxed ways, offering cuddles, sticking nearby and slowly building trust.
And eventually, it worked. After about two weeks, something shifted. The two started playing together, and Maui began to let his guard down. Before long, he wasn’t just tolerating Hugo—he was actively engaging with him.
Some might even say Hugo brought out Maui’s inner puppy again.
Now They’re BestiesOnce the bond clicked, it really clicked.
The pair are now constantly together—playing, cuddling and moving through life side by side like they’ve been best friends all along. It’s clear they’ve found their rhythm, and it's the kind of transformation that makes the slow start totally worth it.
Maui and Hugo’s story is a reminder that even if a new pet introduction starts off a little rocky, it doesn’t mean it will stay that way. With time and positive interactions, many dogs learn not just to tolerate each other, but to truly enjoy one another’s company.
Sometimes, it just takes a couple of weeks, patience and a very determined puppy to turn strangers into inseparable siblings.

This Bossy German Shepherd’s Morning Routine Is Pure Comedy Gold
If you have a German shepherd, you don't need an alarm clock. You have a 70-pound biological computer that knows exactly when the kibble is supposed to hit the bowl.
A German shepherd recently shared on the social media platform Reddit showed that he has one important job when it comes to food: make sure breakfast happens on time. There’s a specific kind of determination in a hungry dog, and this young German shepherd has mastered it. No barking. No waiting. Just a firm, physical reminder that breakfast is not optional.
While German shepherds are not classified as greedy eaters like Labradors or golden retrievers, they are highly food-motivated dogs.
As working dogs, they were bred to work, respond and complete tasks. For them, food becomes part of the system, part of a consistent routine. So, when they insist on breakfast, it is less about uncontrolled hunger and more about expectation meeting opportunity.
In the video, we see this young German shepherd dragging his mom to the kitchen. He knows it is time for breakfast, and he is ready to start the day.
Related: Wait Until You See This German Shepherd's Heartwarming Shelter Transformation
What Are Fans Saying About It?The fun part is that there are two dogs in the video, a German shepherd and another dog that's a puppy. However, it's only the German shepherd that's dragging mom to serve breakfast.
Fans had encouraging words for the young dog. They know he is just doing his job, saying things like “Let me show you the way, and move quick” and “I’ll take you.”
Do Dogs Have a Sense of Time? While dogs do not wear watches, they’re rarely wrong about time, and that doesn’t change with daylight saving.
If your dog starts pacing at exactly 7:58 every morning, you’re not imagining it. Dogs build internal clocks based on circadian rhythms and environmental cues.
That’s why this German shepherd doesn’t just want food. He wants it now, because now is when it always happens.
Related: Dramatic Australian Shepherd Goes From Begging to Battling for Snacks
Is Your Dog the Boss of the House?Every dog owner recognizes this moment. You’re halfway through something. Coffee isn’t even finished. Then comes the stare, the nudge or, in this case, the full escort service to the kitchen.
While it might feel like you are being bossed around, it is just a routine for your dog—and a routine they don't take lightly. As a pet parent, you help build that routine because for dogs, consistency creates confidence. When meals happen at the same time every day, dogs can look forward to and expect their routine and not be stressed about when food is coming.
And if your dog is a greedy eater, you can try using a slow-feeder bowl to help them slow down when eating or you can try hand feeding your dog. They can also be fed two or three smaller meals throughout the day instead of one large one. Whatever you choose, make sure you are consistent with it. As you can see with the German shepherd in this video, they love a routine, especially when it comes to food.
