Lady, the Dachshund, Is So Picky About Her Treats and We Can't Stop Laughing
Many children are known for being picky eaters. Heck, so are many adults.
And apparently so are some dogs, especially when it comes to their favorite treats.
In a new video from influencer Abby Baffoe, she explains that her 1-year-old Dachshund, Lady, is a very picky eater.
In the video, she tries giving her dog many different treats, and Lady rejects them all.
Finally, Baffoe thinks she has found Lady a winner as she holds it in her mouth, but alas, no, as the pup drops it on the floor.
"Lady, some dogs are homeless and live on the streets and have no food," Baffoe tells Lady, who looks at her like she understands.
Baffoe tells her she has to pick one, and Lady finally concedes, takes a treat, and eats it. "Good girl," Baffoe says, and then quietly under her breath, she jokingly says, "Brat."
@abbybaffoeDaily occurrence- raising a diva
♬ Yacht Club - MusicBox Are Dachshunds Picky Eaters?Though many dogs are picky eaters, the Dachshund breed is notoriously known for their selective eating habits.
There are a few reasons that explain their picky eating habits.
Breed predisposition is one of the reasons for their eating patterns. They were once bred to be badger hunters, giving them a real sense of independence as well as fearlessness.
This could mean they are not so into a mealtime schedule and only want to eat when they want to eat.
Dachshunds also have a high metabolism, which can make them hungrier and not love the food they are served.
Finally, these little dogs have very small stomachs, so they will most likely do better with small meals throughout the day instead of one big meal at the end of the day.
If they are only getting one big meal per day, they may be picky about it.
So Lady's pickiness isn't the easiest, but it is understandable!

Golden Retriever Addicted to Video Games Is Basically an iPad Kid
I have raised four kids, and I will be honest, I was never the parent who handed over an iPad just to keep the peace. Screen time? Limited. Structured. Slightly annoying to enforce, but we survived. I mean, I wanted my kids to pay attention to ME, not Minecraft chickens or whatever.
So imagine my surprise when I discovered there are now… iPad dogs.
And not just casually curious dogs. Fully locked-in, nose-to-the-screen, absolutely committed gamers.
@cutie.collector1a gaming addict 🤦♂️ #goldenretriever #apple #addict #fyp #foryoupage
♬ original sound - Cutie Collector 💕The hilariously bizarre video, shared on the TikTok account @cutie.collector1, shows a Golden Retrievercompletely dialed into a game called Jolly Dog.
The setup is simple, but apparently the most fun ever, at least to this doggo.
A little animated object that looks like a mechanical fish pops around the screen, making a “boing boing boing” sound, and every time the dog taps it with his nose or paw, it explodes into stars.
Related: Spoiled Bengal Cat Has Hilarious ‘Feral iPad Time’ Like a True Toddler
Which is all the motivation he needs to keep going forever.
He is tapping. He is focused. He is thriving.
Meanwhile, I have three cats who barely acknowledge the existence of Pet TV, let alone attempt to participate in it. Meatball once watched a bird for six seconds and then fell asleep mid-stare, so this level of engagement feels… advanced.
The comments section immediately turned this into a full parenting debate.
“Wait, so now we’re raising iPad dogs!?!”
“I think there is no issue here as long as he’s done his homework.”
“Are his chores done?”
Others were fully enabling the behavior.
“He needs a gaming chair and headphones.”
“I’m kinda addicted to just watching him play a game, haha.”
And honestly, same. I hate to admit it, but now I kind of want to try Jolly Dog with my own pets just to see if anyone suddenly develops a gamer addiction.
Why Dogs Need Mental Stimulation Bored-looking Goldendoodle.Image Via: Ivanova Ksenia/Shutterstock
Dogs, especially intelligent and active breeds like Golden Retrievers, need regular mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Without it, they can become bored, which often leads to behaviors like chewing, digging, or general chaos that somehow always happens when you leave the room for two minutes.
Interactive toys, puzzle feeders, training games, and even certain screen-based activities can help engage a dog’s brain and burn off some of that mental energy.
That said, balance is key. While games like this can be a fun enrichment tool, dogs still need physical exercise, real-world interaction, and plenty of time doing normal dog things like sniffing, exploring, and being slightly dramatic about nothing.
But if your pup suddenly becomes a better gamer than you, I regret to inform you that you live with an iPad kid now.

'Chonky' Ragdoll Kittens Are the Cutest Snow-Colored Clouds
It's been a while since I've had any adorably tiny kittens in my house, so when I get the itch to adopt one, I first scour the web to get my fill. Sometimes this strategy works against me, and I find myself plotting to sneak off to my local shelter, but other times, I can happily indulge in someone else's chaotic kitten content and let adoption go... until the next itch.
In the meantime, I can always count on @pearlsragdolls to bring the extra kitten cuteness, and one of the newest Ragdoll litters does just that. Here's a trio of perfectly plump babies who are 13/10 sure to brighten your day and maybe inspire you to adopt a kitten, too!

Somehow, Pearl manages to have some of the most memorable kitties of all time, every time. There's one clear standout if you can't tell, and it's because he's a little mouthy! Mr. Uno is an extra-spicy, "chonky" fellow who likes to complain and scream if it gets attention. #relatable.

Black-and-White ‘Dwarf Pit Bull’ Proves Good Things Come in Tiny Packages
Some dogs are big. Some dogs are small. And then there are dogs like this one, who looks like someone hit “shrink” on a Pit Bull and then added just a little bit of mystery for fun.
This black-and-white “dwarf Pit Bull” is low to the ground, long through the body, and somehow is giving both tough dog energy and “please pick me up immediately” at the exact same time.

And honestly, yes. No notes.

The comments turned into a full investigation.
“I have one of those! He’s a Basset Hound Pit Bull mix.”
“OMG, is that a Pitshund? Or a Dachbull?”
“The feet are giving Basset Hound. So cute. It’s a Pitbass!”
Others were just… confused, but happy about it.
“Wait a minute. What is he mixed with? I’m so confused. He’s adorable.”

Why You Should Consider Adopting a Pit Bull Mix @smuckersthepitbull7 reasons to adopt a pittie. #dogs #pitbull #dogvideos
♬ Little Things - Adrián BerenguerPit Bull mixes are some of the most loving, loyal, and affectionate dogs you can bring into your home. Despite their unfair reputation, many are incredibly people-oriented pups and thrive on companionship, play, and being part of a family.
Unfortunately, Pit Bulls and their mixes are also among the most common dogs found in shelters. Many end up there through no fault of their own, often due to misunderstandings about the breed or life circumstances that had nothing to do with the dog.
Adopting a Pit Bull mix not only gives a deserving dog a second chance, but it also helps challenge outdated stereotypes and shows just how gentle and loving these pups can be.
And if you happen to find one that is fun-sized, slightly confusing, and built like a little potato with legs, that is just a bonus.

AKC Reveals Top 5 Dog Breeds in America, and No. 1 Is a 'Great Companion for All Ages'
America has spoken — and once again, it’s all about the Frenchie.
The American Kennel Club just released its 2025 most popular dog breeds (based on registrations), and while a few familiar favorites held steady, there was one notable shake-up in the top five.
On Wednesday, March 18, Brandi Munden, vice president of communications and public relations at the AKC, stopped by the TODAY Show to exclusively reveal the five winners, accompanied by some charming canines ready to represent each beloved breed.
View this post on InstagramTaking the No. 1 spot (for the fourth year in a row) is the lovable French Bulldog (repped by Auggie!) — a compact, affectionate companion that’s as happy lounging at home as it is keeping a watchful eye on things. Right behind him is the Labrador Retriever (Hola in the house!), still a go-to for families thanks to its friendly, easygoing nature and love of being in the middle of everything.
The Golden Retriever (smiley Griswold!) holds onto third place, continuing its reign as one of the most beloved, kid-friendly breeds out there — equal parts sweet, social, and eager to please. The German Shepherd (sweet Eamonn) remains firmly in fourth, known for its intelligence, versatility, and ability to switch between working roles and family life.
And rounding out the top five this year is the Dachshund (Pretzel!), which nudged its way onto the list with its big personality, clever instincts, and unmistakable long-and-low silhouette.
The only real change? The Dachshund bumped the Poodle out of the top five — proof that even in a list of long-standing favorites, there’s always room for a little movement.

Mom Cries Tears of Pure Joy While Reuniting With Chihuahua Who'd Been Stolen
Some reunion stories hit you right in the chest, and this one absolutely does. A TikTok post about a Scottsdale woman finally getting her stolen Chihuahua back after nearly a year is the kind of story that stops the scroll immediately. It's emotional, hopeful, and honestly, the exact kind of pet reunion people never get tired of seeing.
The video caption gets straight to it: “Scottsdale woman reunites with stolen dog, ex-boyfriend charged.” The post caption adds even more weight: “11 months later, Alyssa Hurt is finally reunited with her chihuahua, Jax—her emotional support pup since 2020. Scottsdale police found him after a social media tip led officers to a hotel. Welcome home, Jax 💕Molly McBride reports.” And once you know those details, the reunion feels even bigger.
@arizonasfamily11 months later, Alyssa Hurt is finally reunited with her chihuahua, Jax—her emotional support pup since 2020. Scottsdale police found him after a social media tip led officers to a hotel. Welcome home, Jax 💕Molly McBride reports.
♬ original sound - Arizona’s Family 3TV CBS 5According to Arizona’s Family, Alyssa rescued Jax from a shelter in 2020, and he had been her emotional support dog for years. In April 2025, she came home to find her front door open and Jax gone. She searched relentlessly, posting across multiple platforms and refusing to let hope go. More than 11 months later, a social media tip helped Scottsdale police locate Jax at a hotel, where officers also found Alyssa’s ex-boyfriend. Police said he was later booked on a second-degree burglary charge.
That alone would make this a huge story, but it is the reunion itself that really gets you. Alyssa described shaking and crying when she got the call, and when Jax finally recognized her, the moment turned into exactly the kind of happy chaos every pet lover understands. After everything, there he was, back where he belonged. It is hard not to get emotional thinking about the fear, the waiting, and then the sheer relief of finally holding your dog again.
View this post on InstagramThis is the kind of story that works because it carries both heartbreak and hope. Jax is not just a missing dog in a headline. He is a beloved little companion, an emotional support pup, and part of Alyssa’s everyday life. That is why people respond so strongly to reunions like this one. They understand that for many pet parents, losing an animal is not losing property. It's losing family.
And thankfully, this family got their miracle. Jax is home. Alyssa’s tears were tears of pure joy. And after nearly a year of uncertainty, that little Chihuahua got the ending he deserved.
Never Stop Looking, and Never Underestimate CommunityJax’s story is such a powerful reminder to act fast, keep sharing, and use every trusted platform available when a pet goes missing. Flyers, neighborhood apps, lost-pet networks, microchip records, and social media can all matter more than people realize, especially when one tip can change everything. Arizona’s Family reported that a social media tip helped lead Scottsdale police to Jax, which is exactly the kind of outcome that shows why persistence matters.
Honestly, Jax really said I had a side quest, but I live with my mom.

Foster Shih-Tzu's Early Morning Greeting Game Is the 'Cutest Thing Ever'
Well-known animal advocate Isabel Klee continues to care for her current foster dog, Raven. The Shih-Tzu is still recovering from some health issues, including a surgery that removed a major mass from her hind area. Still, Raven doesn't let these challenges slow her down, and she gets more energetic every day.
The precious pooch even created her own game that she greets Klee with each morning to start the day.

"I literally woke up less than seven minutes ago," Klee explained. "I just have to show you my foster dog, Raven's, favorite game in the world. As soon as I wake up in the morning, she is attacking my feet and it is the cutest thing ever."
Klee walked toward Raven's dog bowls in maroon socks as the Shih-Tzu pranced around and playfully nipped at her feet. Raven's tail never stopped wagging as she continuously attempted to catch at least one foot or even just a toe.
The canine cutie stopped every few seconds to look at her foster mom adoringly, clearly enjoying their little morning ritual. Klee laughed in delight at Raven's silliness and had fun playing along.

"She’s acting like a puppy again!! She must feel so much better!!" one gushed.

Tiny Newborn Lambs in Adorable Outfits Are the Sweetest Thing You’ll See Today
It sounds like something out of a children’s book. A group of newborn lambs, curled up together, each wearing a tiny sweater, fast asleep. It’s adorable—and it's a very real way to help lambs stay warm while they're still developing.
Newborn lambs lose energy and heat faster than they produce it. Sometimes, they need something extra to keep them warm, and even more so during chillier months.
A recent post on Reddit showed the most adorable yet practical way to keep newborn lambs safe and warm.
New lambs in their jumpersby u/scarletOwilde in aww
In the post, we see two young lambs curled up next to their mother. But while their mother provides warmth and heat, they are also wearing the cutest jumpers. The colors pop up instantly, with the red and violet looking adorable on their white wool coats.
While cute, there is also a practical reason why these lambs wear jumpers: they need to be warmed to a certain point to be able to nurse.

What Are Fans Saying About It?Farm animals in cute outfits is something fans always love. These tiny lambs are definitely adorable, and fans are loving it. Some of the comments read, “Tiny sweaters make this 10x cuter” and “Those little lambs in their jumpers are just the cutest things I've ever seen! I could stare at their adorable faces all day, thanks for sharing this sweetness with us!”
Some commenters came up with funny sayings like "Lammies in pajammies" and "Lambys in jammies!"
Fans also joked about whether the jumpers were made of wool. And one fan hit the sweet spot, saying, “Only way to be better is if the sweaters were made from the wool of their mom.”
For many newborn lambs, mothers provide warmth and protection, but wearing a jumper doesn’t hurt as well.
Why Newborn Lambs Need ClothesUnlike adult sheep, newborn lambs don’t have much insulation. They’re born with limited fat reserves, and their ability to regulate their body temperature is still developing. In cold or wet conditions, they can lose heat faster than they can generate it.
Research in livestock science has shown that young lambs are especially vulnerable to hypothermia in their first days of life, particularly when temperatures drop or when they’re exposed to wind and rain.
There is something magical about seeing animals in small, human-like comforts. A sweater is something we understand. It offers protection and warmth. These lambs wear them for the same reason we do, and they look extra cute doing it.

Watch This Guide Dog Sweetly Secure a Seat for Their Blind Human on a Busy Train
Rush hour commutes can be hectic, but for one guide dog and their human, it turned into an unexpectedly heartwarming moment.
The clip, which was shared on Reddit's r/mademesmile, shows a yellow Labrador retriever guide dog leading their blind human onto a crowded commuter train, weaving through a sea of hurried passengers. With calm focus, the dog heads straight toward the designated handicap seat and stops in front of it—but a man is already sitting there.

Guide Dog Makes Sure His Human Gets a SeatThe dog gently and politely stands their ground, clearly communicating, this is where we need to be.
The man in the seat immediately picks up on the situation. Without a second thought, he stands up and even places a hand on the seat to keep it from folding up, making sure it’s ready and accessible.
Moments later, the handler reaches forward, feels for the seat their dog has located, and sits down. Mission accomplished.
The adorable cherry on top? As soon as the man is seated, the dog tucks in between his legs and glances back at his person, as if making sure he’s settled in comfortably.

Viewers Find the Moment Incredibly HeartwarmingThe comment section quickly filled with praise—not just for the dog’s intelligence, but for the quiet teamwork between everyone involved.
“Love how gentle but assertive he/she is. ‘You there! You have been selected to move,’” one person joked in the comment section.
Another added, “Dog politely says, ‘Sir, I think you are in our seat.’”
Many people were also pleasantly surprised by the other man’s reaction: “I was expecting someone to begrudgingly move from the handicap seat, but he immediately looked up, clocked it and did the right thing.”
A Small Moment That Says a LotGuide dogs are trained to navigate complex environments, but moments like this highlight just how intuitive and communicative they can be. From identifying the correct seating area to confidently holding position, this pup handled the situation like a total pro.
It’s also a powerful example of the trust and teamwork between a guide dog and their handler—where every small action, from stopping in the right spot to staying steady, helps their human move through the world more safely and confidently.
And paired with a stranger willing to get up without hesitation and lend a helping hand, it’s the kind of everyday kindness that restores a little faith in humanity.

Wait Until You See This German Shepherd's Heartwarming Shelter Transformation
If you ever walk into a shelter and a dog avoids eye contact or hangs back, it’s easy to overlook them, but that first impression isn’t the full story.
The dog you meet in that moment is still adjusting, still processing, still waiting for something to feel safe again. Given time, structure and patience, many of those dogs unfold in ways that are hard to imagine at first glance.
Sometimes, the most unforgettable dogs are the ones who don’t shine right away. And for one German shepherd dog living in the shelter, life has changed dramatically.
From Shelter to Happy HomeIn a post recently shared on the social media platform Reddit, a dog mom shared the transformation of her German shepherd dog. In the first picture, the young dog was only eight months old. She looks anxious, with her tail tucked, standing in the corner with her toy.
But then a truly remarkable transformation can be seen in the second photo. The dog looks comfortable, confident and like a true German shepherd.
Her mom also shared a photo of the dog with her siblings in the comments. Now one year and nine months old, the German shepherd is living her best life.
Related: Tiny Golden Retriever Puppy Finds Sweetest Bed on Ride to Forever Home
What Are Fans Saying About It?Fans noticed the transformation of the dog, saying, “She certainly looks more confident, but also not terribly impressed with you,” “She beautiful. Crazy how dogs change into themselves when they feel the love,” and "You can just see how comfortable and confident she is now. Way to go!”
The young girl is almost two years old now. And like another commenter said, we hope she has a long and happy life. One fan put it perfectly: “I hope you guys get many years of happiness, tail wags, and long pleasant walks.”
What Most People Miss in Shelter TransformationsWe tend to focus on the dramatic visual change when we see dogs leave a shelter and enter a happy home. Sad to happy. Scared to confident. Before and after. But what’s actually happening underneath is quieter and far more complex.
Dogs entering shelters often experience what behaviorists call “shutdown.” It’s a coping response. Instead of barking or acting out, some dogs go still, withdrawing to conserve energy and avoid attention. They might look calm and shy, but they are actually overwhelmed.
If you’ve ever brought a dog home and watched them hesitate at the doorway, unsure if they’re allowed inside, you’ve seen a softer version of this. Now imagine that feeling, but multiplied by noise, confinement and uncertainty.
Something shifts the first time they eat without hesitation, or they have their first tail wag that isn’t cautious or the first time they have a good night's sleep in their new home. The second photo doesn’t happen overnight. It is a moment a dog realizes they’re safe.
That first photo isn’t just fear. It’s a dog trying to make sense of a world that suddenly changed. We often say that dogs learn to be dogs once they go into their forever home, and that is certainly the case here.

While Goldens are naturally patient and easy to please, they can misbehave. What might trigger this? Lack of training or exercise can be responsible for Goldens getting a little out of control. They also respond well to positive reinforcement. So perhaps Nova felt that the wiping of her paws was an insult and a negative consequence of something she'd done.
Perhaps she's just not a fan of foot rubs. Whatever the case, we're sure she's well past it now and looking forward to warmer weather!
Hilarious 'Talking Cat' Waiting for Delivery Person Learns a Hard Lesson
Pudding, the beautiful orange cat, has a lot to say about "how good delivery is hard to find" these days. Looking down on him from above, Pudding's mom asks him what has the chatty cat so preoccupied, and we come to find out that the handsome feline is expecting his regular shipment of Swiss cheese to arrive at any moment. But when she explains to him that he has to pay for such delicacies to be delivered to his door, Pudding is faced with the sad truth that in life, there's no such thing as free cheese, even for clever kitties.
@theoreocatGood delivery is hard to find. 🚐 #talkingcat #orangecat #catsoftiktok
♬ original sound - The Oreo CatThe captions she creates for Pudding's well-timed meows are genius, and fans cannot get enough of this video.
"I absolutely love how talkative this cat is!" says one.
"She understands every word you say," asserts another.
"He is quite literally talking to you, and it's adorable!" adds a third.
It really does seem like Pudding and his mom speak the same language, but unfortunately, nothing she says can comfort the poor, cheese-deprived cat.

The Chattiest Cat BreedsSome cats are quiet observers… and then there are the ones who won't stop blabbing. If you love a pet that feels more like a chatterbox, certain breeds are known for being especially vocal — using everything from chirps and trills to full-on dramatic monologues to get your attention.
Leading the pack is the Siamese, widely considered the most talkative of them all, known for loud, persistent “conversations” and a deep need to stay connected to their humans. Close behind are breeds like the Oriental Shorthair and Balinese (essentially Siamese relatives), which share that same chatty, people-obsessed personality.
Other vocal standouts include the Maine Coon, who like to trill and chirp, and the Burmese, who tend to have softer, more melodic voices. Then there are the “Velcro cats” like the Sphynx and Peterbald, who stick close to their humans and aren’t shy about announcing their presence.
The common thread? These cats are highly social and tend to use their voices as a way to connect. So if you’re looking for a pet that greets you, answers back, and occasionally demands a full conversation (or a cheese delivery STAT!), one of these talkative breeds might be exactly what you’re after.

Baby Cries on Cue Every Time Ragdoll Cat Dares to Meow
After I first brought my daughter home from the hospital after she was born, she and our two cats clicked immediately. Not only did they somehow know that she was a delicate newborn and approached her carefully, but my kid mostly ignored them at first, which gave them time to get used to their new roommate before she eventually began actually interacting with them.
But I am aware that it all came down to luck, and not all babies have harmony with their family's cats right away... even when they are as gorgeous as the Ragdoll in the TikTok video below.
@pearlsragdollsPeaches may be Justin's favorite cat, but she is not Maverick's favorite
♬ original sound - Pearl’s RagdollsThis video that @pearlsragdolls that was shared on Tuesday, March 17 shows what happens when Peaches meows in front of her human baby brother, Maverick: Instant tears.
As the baby starts crying, Peaches shoots him a look like "Seriously? What did I do?"
That doesn't stop her from meowing again, thus making Maverick's crying start all over... and so the cycle continues.

There's no fancy reason for why sometimes a cat's meow will make a baby cry; sometimes, it's just the sudden, loud noise that upsets or startles them and that's enough to ruin an otherwise sweet moment with their four legged sibling.
Not all cats and babies are going to be a match made in heaven — at least not right away — so having a few techniques to help them adjust to each other at first in your toolbox just in case is never a bad idea.
Hills recommends taking introductions between baby and cat nice and easy, and offering your kitty a place to escape their new roommate anytime they might want a break. After all, babies can be loud, too!
Before bringing baby home, it can also be helpful to let your cat explore the new items in the house, like the crib, so it's not a total shock to them when their world begins changing.
Hopefully, as Maverick gets older, Peaches (and her loud meows) won't be quite so scary. They'll get used to each other for sure!

Sleepy Golden Retriever Decides Groomer Bath Time Is the Perfect Time for a Nap
Most dogs treat bath time like a chaotic event, taking every opportunity to splash and make as much of a mess as they can. But there are some dogs who don’t do what we expect, and not what we worry about either.
In this video, a cute Golden Retriever catches his parent and groomer off guard with his reaction to bath time. It’s hilarious and honestly perfect, but it is definitely not what anyone would have expected. Instead of chaos, this doggy chooses another direction, and it’s so funny.
@caponeandmaeIt’s always a golden retriever or lab 😭 #goldenretriever #doggrooming #dogbath
♬ original sound - Ms.Kly - Klyracapinig✿🍒𐙚TikTok user @caponeandmae shared a video of one of their dog-grooming clients, a Golden Retriever who is either having a very unique day or is the calmest, chillest dog we've ever come across.
It didn't matter that he was literally mid-bath, with his full coat covered in sudsy shampoo, all ready to be rinsed off, brushed out, and blow-dried. But he's not ready. Instead, he's fully asleep, taking what looks like the best nap of his life. He's the definition of very chill, and good for him.

In the caption, the groomer jokes that if something like this is going to happen, it'll be a Golden Retriever or a Labrador. And people in the comments seem to agree and love this silly puppy, too.
One person wrote, "My late Schnauzer loved baths. When he had his spa day, my groomer would send me pics of him asleep across her arm. He also liked to be swaddled in towels and held like a literal human baby."
Another legitimately asked, "How does one fall asleep in the bath?"
Other comments included, "Me as a dog," and "My Lab hates the water."

Golden Retrievers Should Get Regular GroomingIf we could go somewhere and leave feeling not just pretty with clean, styled hair, but a fully rejuvenating nap, we'd be all for it. And if that's something your Golden Retriever would like, regular grooming is something that's great for them, according to experts.
PetPlanUK explains that Golden Retrievers are known for a "lustrous double coat." Because their coats have a very thick undercoat with a water-repellant top layer, Goldens need regular grooming, mainly brushing. The site suggests daily brushing and using a de-shedding tool to thin out the undercoat, which is especially important during typical shedding times—around autumn and spring.
The site also says that your Golden is likely to need a regular bathing schedule with pet-friendly shampoo, and that a shorter haircut during the summer is sometimes preferred for pups.
We love how much this sweet Golden Retriever loves his grooming, even if he misses out on most of it.
Maine Coon Kitten Comes Home and Immediately Falls for Family's Golden Retriever
Around here, we love a good underdog story. It's not always about a hero saving the world or the standard rom-com archetype where the good guy gets the girl. Sometimes it's deeper than that—it's about a real connection between two unlikely souls whose paths crossed for some magical reason.
In this case, the underdog is one adorable Maine Coon kitten and his new, older Golden Retriever sister, making a huge social media splash. The two may have only just met, but already, they're smitten kittens!
@lizfizzzzzThe cuteness is too much. This was his first night home 😭 #mainecoonsoftiktok #goldenretriever #pets #cute #adorableanimals
♬ New Home - Penguin PianoYou wouldn't know at first glance, but sweet Nelly was fully prepared for this kismet meeting. The patient, loyal, and loving Golden Retriever took in the new kitten's first evening like a champ, and she's only grown to adore her little kitty brother in the time since.
So far, there's no mention of what the little Maine Coon's name is, but he's so cute, we'll just refer to him as Sir Cutie Pie (it just feels right).

The newbie is, of course, an energetic kitten, so there's a whole lot of playtime fun going on. You can probably bet the 4-year-old pup takes a backseat when the little man is running amok, probably getting a kick out of all the shenanigans he gets himself into.
When he's not doing typical kitten things, the Maine Coon takes a breather, if only to remind us all why the breed is so cool. Between those pointy ears, gorgeous and fluffy fur, and colossal polydactyl paws, he's a real stunner!

♬ original sound - FUNNYCLIPSFOREVER!!! 5 Reasons Maine Coons Will Be Your Dog's Best FriendOver the years, Maine Coons have grown in popularity and have quickly become one of the most adopted cat breeds around. There's a laundry list of reasons why these kitties make such great companions for just about anyone (including families with kids, seniors, and singles), but here are a handful of reasons they're perfect mates for resident pups:
- They're just as social as dogs
- They have high intelligence on par with pups
- Maine Coons bond with their humans on a deep level
- From kittenhood onward, Maine Coons have an affinity for playing fetch and have a good time with any body of water (sinks are their favorite)
- Teach them to walk on a leash, and they'll take walks
With all of that going for Maine Coons, I have a feeling Nelly and her new kitty pal will have a bond for the books.

Basically, pet parents are looking for high-meat, protein-packed alternatives that can actually serve as a proper foundation for their pups’ nutrition.
Most traditional super-premium kibble tops out around 25 to 35 percent protein and leans heavily on rendered meat meals and conventional ingredients. Baked & Coated, on the other hand, cranks protein up to 40 percent with a clean, meat-first formula made from premium animal ingredients. That means no rendered meals and a mealtime upgrade your dog will actually love.
“The launch of Baked & Coated signifies an exciting and natural next chapter for K9 Natural,” CEO of Natural Pet Food Group Brett Henshaw said. “This new product means pet parents who choose to feed kibble no longer need to compromise on ingredient quality or nutrition. There is now a more convenient everyday option rooted in our same Freeze-Dried nutritional philosophy, where premium, sustainable, and traceable ingredients power our high-meat, high-protein offerings that pet parents can trust and depend on.”
