The boy band released a new song called "Bottle Up" for PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. They were asked when their kids realized how famous they were, and Richardson, 54, told an interesting story.

"They all experience it at different times and it clicks at different times," Richardson said. He said that moment for his kids was when they went to Drake's restaurant in Toronto for the DNA tour.

"All of a sudden Drake comes in and the maître d's like, 'Excuse me, Drake is here, and he would love when you're finished, he would love to come over and say hi," Richardson said.

The father said his kids looked shocked. Richardson has two sons named Mason and Maxwell. He's been married to Kristin Kay Willits since 2000.

"He told us a story about like his first kiss was to one of our songs," he revealed. Drake asked to come to one of their shows. The rapper did and performed "I Want It That Way" with them. "So that's when it clicked for me kids," the singer said.

Howie Dorough had a simpler answer to the question. "YouTube nowadays, they can go back and see over the years the good, the bad, the ugly," he said. It also doesn't hurt that their newest song was written by a current pop star.

Ed Sheeran Wrote Backstreet Boys' 'Bottle Up'

The band's new song is all about living in the moment and trying to "bottle up" a feeling. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie follows the puppies' rescue mission on a island filled with dinosaurs.

Ed Sheeran wrote the pop song and sang on the demo. Dorough told Billboard that they tried to get as close as possible to his version.

The singers recently celebrated Father's Day with their family. They talked to E! News about how their family helped their careers throughout the years.

"Hard work, communication, team work, sacrificing for each other, supporting one another, good support structure at home," Richardson said. "We got five great women that have supported everything we've done. Our families, good management, great fans, good music, hard work, heart and soul."

Everyone's favorite pancake chain announced it's officially bringing the viral Dubai chocolate pancakes back nationwide and rolling out a brand-new Dubai chocolate milkshake. Both will be available to guests across the country starting Monday, June 29. The pancakes started out as a small, local idea before becoming a full-blown cultural moment. 

IHOP's Dubai chocolate journey began in August 2025, when franchisees in Totowa, New Jersey, launched a pancake-inspired version of the viral chocolate. The item quickly caught on with customers.

What Does Cazzie David Do For a Living?

Cazzie David is a writer. While not every scary movie can be considered a masterpiece, there are plenty of horror films that have received acclaim from both critics and audiences. For instance, the publication Collider recently released a ranking of "10 perfect horror movies that are pure cinema."

Robert Mitchum Discussed the Casting of 'The Night of the Hunter' in 1984

While speaking at Gish's AFI Life Achievement Award in 1984, Mitchum shared how he became involved with The Night of the Hunter. According to the actor, who died in 1997 at 79, Laughton approached him about the movie, adapted from Davis Grubb's novel, published in 1953.

"I was sitting idly at home on a sunny afternoon, and the telephone rang, and I picked it up, I answered it, and the voice said, 'Robert, it's Charles Laughton here. I have a book that I'm sending over to you.' He said, 'This is the most despicable character. He's totally unredeemable, a thorough villain.' And I said, 'Present,'" quipped Mitchum.

He then said that he was surprised that Laughton was considering Gish, a former silent movie actress, for the role of Rachel.

"I asked about Rachel, and he said, 'Lillian Gish.' And I said, 'But Charles, she belongs as a decoration on a Christmas tree, she has a fragility, and she smiles like an angel. And he said, 'I'll show you fragility,'" recalled the actor.

Mitchum then said that he was impressed with Gish's physicality while filming the movie. He also described her as "the essence of grace," and partly why the film has remained so impactful.

"She did smile like an angel, and she was the cement that held the whole thing together. And it is a film that is seen forever and ever and ever and ever. And it is due in great part to the grace and the inner fiber of steel, which lies within the character of Miss Gish," said Mitchum, while honoring Gish, who died when she was 99 in 1993.

And there’s a popular household product that’s been used in homes for decades that could be silently raising your risk of cancer. 

The key with this product is prolonged exposure, according to Dr. Ashraf Elsayegh, MD, pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist, at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. Meaning, there’s no need to panic if you’ve used it here and there.

But if you have this product in your home and want to do what you can to lower your risk of cancer, it’s not a bad idea to toss it, according to oncology experts and a pulmonologist. Here’s why.

The Popular Household Product Oncology Experts Would Never Use

It’s mothballs. These small balls are pesticides that slowly give off a toxic gas to kill moths that may damage clothes, along with other insects, per Oregon State University’s National Pesticide Information Center. 

Mothballs contain high concentrations of either naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene (aka 1,4-dichlorobenzene), per the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). Mothballs slowly convert from a solid into a gas through a process called sublimation.

“Mothballs do have highly carcinogenic properties,” says Dr. Sylvia Daunert, Ph.D., biochemist and researcher with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, saying they're “several common household products with cancer concerns.” 

“These substances can build up in indoor air, especially with frequent use and poor ventilation, leading to repeated low‑level breathing exposure over time,” Dr. Daunert tells Parade. 

Those concerns are echoed byDr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, MD, Ph.D., oncologist, co-director of the Healthcare Transformation Institute at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and author ofEat Your Ice Cream: Six Simple Rules for a Long and Healthy Life. “Avoid using mothballs,” he says.

Why Are Mothballs Concerning?

Mothballs give off vapors from paradichlorobenzene or naphthalene, which can then be breathed in by humans. 

"Mothballs should not be used in homes because they contain toxic pesticide chemicals like naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene that slowly release poisonous fumes into the air,"Dr. Sapna Deo, Ph.D., professor of biochemistry and molecular biology with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, tells Parade. "Mothballs are solids but sublimate meaning turning into vapors, releasing chemicals. These are meant to kill moths in sealed containers and should not be kept in the open air where people and pets can easily inhale these fumes."

Naphthalene is found in cigarette smoke, car exhaust and smoke from forest fires, per UF/IFAS. When it enters your body, it’s converted to alpha-naphthol, a compound linked to an abnormal breakdown of red blood cells. When this occurs, oxygen is no longer carried in the blood the way it should, which can lead to kidney and liver damage, according to UF/IFAS.

"Naphthalene is classified as a possible carcinogen, meaning long-term exposure may increase the risk of cancer," Dr. Deo says.

Paradichlorobenzene is classified as a group 2B carcinogen by the World Health Organization (WHO), which means that it’s possibly carcinogenic to humans (based on mouse studies). The chemical is currently under a “risk evaluation” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Exposure to mothballs can cause headaches, nausea and respiratory irritation, Dr. Deo says, noting, "With prolonged exposure, [mothballs] may lead to organ damage."

If mothballs are used in a well-ventilated area, Elsayegh says they “should not be an issue.” But he has a big caveat to keep in mind: “Mothballs are usually placed in closets and areas that are not well ventilated. With prolonged exposure, these substances raise the risk of cancer. “

Other Household Products To Be Cautious About

Mothballs are just one household product in a list of others that oncology experts recommend being wary of. 

Daunert also lists off deodorizer blocks, pressed‑wood furniture that releases formaldehyde, older non‑stick cookware linked to PFOA, scented candles or incense that can release benzene and soot and some weed killers containing glyphosate.

“Evidence ranges from well‑established—formaldehyde, benzene, PFOA—to probable or possible ( glyphosate, naphthalene) risk,” she explains. “To lower risk, people can use HEPA air cleaners, ventilate living spaces well and rely on natural or unscented products instead of synthetic fragrances.”

If you use some of these products here and there, Dr. Elsayegh says there’s no need to panic. “You must be exposed to the product for an extended period,” he says. But maybe don’t pick up mothballs to use in your home again in the future, just to be safe.

In a recent story from Collider, the popular online outlet officially named The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as the greatest fantasy novel of the past century.

Quite possibly the most famous and influential fantasy novel ever put into print, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring marked author J.R.R. Tolkien's expansive return to the world of Middle-earth following his breakout success on the 1987 novel, The Hobbit.

Perhaps more importantly, it also marked the start of fantasy's greatest trilogy, with Tolkien soon following The Fellowship of the Ring's publication with two equally well-loved sequels, 1954's The Two Towers and 1955's The Return of the King.

As most fans and readers likely know, The Lord of the Rings focuses on an epic quest to vanquish an evil lord from conquering the peaceful peoples of the fantasy world known as Middle-earth.

When an unassuming young Hobbit happens across the legendary One Ring of Power, he and his closest allies travel across their mythic kingdom to destroy the relic and save Middle-earth from the sinister forces seeking to destroy it.

In the decades since its publication, Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy has been cited as the cornerstone of the modern fantasy genre, inspiring hundreds of similar books, movies, video games, board games, comics and other entertainment material in the years that followed.

Nowadays, most critics continue to cite it as one of the most impactful and important novels ever written, as well as the best fantasy book of the 20th century.

Some movies entertain audiences for a few years, but others become part of popular culture forever.

When Disney released The Lion Kingon June 24, 1994, few could have predicted just how massive the film would become. More than three decades later, it's still widely considered one of the greatest animated movies ever made and remains one of Disney's most beloved creations.

Set against the backdrop of the African savanna, The Lion King follows young lion Simba as he navigates loss, responsibility and his eventual destiny as king. Along the way, audiences were introduced to unforgettable characters including Mufasa, Scar, Timon, Pumbaa and Rafiki.

The film was an immediate phenomenon.

Produced during what is often called Disney's Renaissance era, The Lion King became the highest-grossing movie of 1994 and went on to earn nearly $1 billion worldwide during its various theatrical releases. At the time, it was the highest-grossing traditionally animated film ever made.

Of course, the movie's success wasn't just about box office numbers.

Its soundtrack became a cultural force of its own. Songs like "Circle of Life," "Hakuna Matata" and the Oscar-winning "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" helped transform the film into a multi-generational favorite. The music, created by Elton John and Tim Rice alongside composer Hans Zimmer's iconic score, remains instantly recognizable decades later.

The movie's impact didn't stop when the credits rolled.

The Lion King inspired sequels, television series, theme park attractions and one of the most successful stage productions in entertainment history. The Broadway adaptation debuted in 1997 and continues to draw audiences around the world nearly 30 years later.

Thirty-two years after its debut, The Lion King remains a fixture as one of the "100 best films ever" and continues to introduce new generations to Simba's journey.

What's perhaps most remarkable is that The Lion King wasn't originally expected to be Disney's biggest hit. Many within the studio reportedly viewed another upcoming project, Pocahontas, as the more prestigious release.

History had other plans.

There's a list of sitcom episodes whose storyline didn't land well with audiences and led them to be banned from airing. During Seinfeld's ninth and final season, they released "The Puerto Rican Day Parade," which caused controversy over one particular scene that led to it being pulled after it aired.

Seinfeld was nearing its end when they released "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" as its 20th episode of the final season. With Larry Davidhaving already developed the official series finale, the Seinfeld writing team used "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" as the post-David series finale after his departure.

The episode was inspired by writer David Mandel's real-life experience of having been trapped in parade traffic. Its storyline revolves around the main characters driving back into Manhattan after a Mets game, unaware that it's the yearly scheduled Puerto Rican Day Parade taking place on Fifth Avenue. The characters find themselves trapped in traffic with nowhere to go.

Along the way, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) goes on a chaotic adventure to find a way out so she can do her Sunday decompress routine. George (Jason Alexander) leaves to go to see a movie and finds himself in a battle with another patron and his laser pointer. Jerry, on the other hand, is in a battle of guilt after taunting another driver and being stuck beside him in traffic.

In the episode, Kramer (Michael Richards) is desperate to use a restroom and poses as a wealthy industrialist interested in an apartment for sale. What made "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" controversial upon its initial release was a scene involving Kramer.

Kramer is back on the street and accidentally sets fire to the Puerto Rican flag. Onlookers take it as a sign of aggression, with two men prompting a mob attack on Kramer. He ends up seeking refuge back in the apartment. The episode ends with the angry mob destroying Jerry's car, Elaine returns disheveled, and George is still being trailed by the laser pointer.

The episode drew criticism from people in the Puerto Rican community, especially Kramer's comment of "It's like this every day in Puerto Rico." According to the New York Times, President of the National Puerto Rican Coalition Manuel Mirabal said that "It is unacceptable that the Puerto Rican flag be used by Seinfeld as a stage prop under any circumstances."

The episode led to a series of angry letters to NBC and protests outside their offices, until they gave a formal apology. "The Puerto Rican Day Parade" was pulled from airing after it aired and pulled from syndication rerun packages. Vulture ranked it as one of the worst episodes from the sitcom in their 2023 list, calling it insensitive.

Seinfeld once recalled having asked one of the protest leaders what was offensive about the episode without having seen it. The man responded that they "assume" it was offensive."The Puerto Rican Day Parade" was added to syndication in its entirety in 2022 by Sony Picutres Television.

Retirement is often portrayed as a time to relax, travel, and finally enjoy a slower pace of life. Although psychologists say one surprisingly small habit may do more for healthy aging than simply staying busy, regularly showing up where you're needed.

According to NIH, research suggests that lifelong learning may help support cognitive health later in life. In a nationally representative study of 12,099 adults aged 65 and older, researchers found a positive association between participation in education or training courses and overall cognitive performance. The estimated benefit was roughly equivalent to a five-year difference in cognitive functioning, yet only 10.2 percent of participants reported taking a course at least once per month.

Intergenerational interaction may offer similar advantages. One notable example is the Experience Corps program, which places older adults in elementary school classrooms as volunteers. In a recent analysis from NIH, found that volunteering was associated with better cognitive functioning over time, with researchers suggesting that the benefits stemmed from increased mental, social, and physical activity

Dr. Raichbah said, “Inter-generational contact may help because it gives the brain a reason to remain adaptable. When older adults regularly interact with younger people, they're exposed to different perspectives, skills, and ways of thinking, which helps keep cognitive and social abilities engaged."

Connection Is Good for Emotional Health, Too

The emotional benefits may be just as important. According to the University of Michigan's National Poll on Healthy Aging, 34% of U.S. adults ages 50 to 80 reported feeling isolated from others in 2023. 

"Emotionally, this little habit makes sense due to the fact that isolation remains prevalent today," Dr. Raichbach explains. "Weekly classes, mentorship shifts, community gardens, etc., provide retirement structure. Most importantly, they allow the individual to feel useful rather than merely entertained."

However, there has been some fallout from this incident, as the woman, identified as 40-year-old Angie Báez, has been fired from her job as a director at JPMorgan Chase. The New York Post reported the news, with a spokesperson for the company telling the outlet that, "This employee is no longer with the company." They would not specify whether it was because of the video.

And that's not all.

TMZ reports that Báez was issued two summonses, which included a $75 littering ticket and a $100 ticket for impeding DSNY operations. The outlet adds that these fines are "the maximum allowed by law for first offenses."

But with that, the New York Police Department further told TMZ that they "had no complaint on file involving her theft ... meaning they aren't pursuing her."

The trash can was returned to the Department of Sanitation on Wednesday morning.

“First, we would reiterate previous comments that dumping trash onto the street and stealing public property for your own personal use are both illegal, antisocial behaviors, and not what New Yorkers do,” the department said in a statement, per NBC News. “On top of all that, doing both on camera is incredibly stupid.”

In 1944, George Orwell finally completed his manuscript for the satirical dystopian novel Animal Farm. With just 10 chapters, it was a chance to share his thoughts on the Russian government.

However, it almost didn’t make it to print, and not because of the UK government or publishing houses. Orwell was living in London at the time, at the height of World War II, and the city was faced with multiple bombings. When a German bomb was dropped, it hit Orwell’s place, and the entire building collapsed into rubble.

Orwell’s adopted son, Richard Blair, shared in a 2012 interview that Animal Farm was among the manuscripts in the rubble. Orwell wasted no time in rushing back to his home when he learned of the bomb and went into the rubble on his hands and knees to find the masterpiece, with Blair sharing, “He spent hours and hours rifling through (bomb site) rubbish. Fortunately, he found it.”

However, once he found it, there was more hassle in getting it published, and this time, it was due to the British government. The novel itself heavily criticised Joseph Stalin and the way the Soviet Union was run. Of course, at the time, the Soviet Union was an ally of the British against the Germans, and the last thing the UK wanted to do was anger Stalin.

Yet, there is a deeper twist, as publisher Jonathan Cape had handed the manuscript to Peter Smollett, an official at the British Ministry of Information. Smollett was a Russian spy nested deep within the government, and so, a Russian mole ended up censoring the book before it could even be published. 

It took until after the war came to an end in August 1945 for it to finally be published. A small publisher, Fredric Warburg of Secker & Warburg, was willing to take the risk, with the title being Animal Farm: A Fairy Story, and picked it up in 1944, only to be delayed by paper shortages. However, it would be 1946 by the time American publishers picked it up, dropping A Fairy Story from the title. 

It was a risk well taken, as the novella has become one of the most beloved satirical allegories of the 20th century. More than 11 million copies have been sold worldwide, and it’s never been out of print. There have been multiple adaptations, with the most recent being a loose adaptation in the form of the animated Angel Studios movie with Andy Serkis directing and Seth Rogen voicing the lead pig, Napoleon.

Once it was published, the communist countries banded together to ban Animal Farm. They mistakenly believed that it was criticising everything about communism and socialism, and not just the Russian government at the time. In his 1946 essay Why I Write, he even explained that "Animal Farm was the first book in which I tried, with full consciousness of what I was doing, to fuse political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole."

Beloved '90s rocker PJ Harvey has announced new music after three years. The exciting news was shared Wednesday morning via Instagram, eliciting an enthusiastic response from longtime fans.

The new track, titled "Voyager," marks her first musical release since 2023, when she dropped her tenth studio album, I Inside the Old Year Dying. The song's title was inspired by the NASA probes launched in 1977, which are still exploring interstellar space 50 years later. Harvey's fascination with Voyager craft ultimately prompted her to compose the piece.

In the announcement post, Harvey expressed her excitement about the project, diving into the process of pitching the idea to Professor Brian Cox, an English musician and physics professor at the University of Manchester.

“The song had already started life as part of my work towards my new album, so when @profbriancox [Professor Cox] invited me to write a piece for his new show, I sent him the voice memo of this song to see if it resonated. It immediately made him think of the Voyager craft and the sound of its signal being sent back to Earth. I have long been fascinated by the spacecraft and its journey, and asked myself what it might say to us if it could? This was an inspiring route to take to develop the song."

Harvey continued on to explain the musical elements and research endeavors that went into bringing the track to life, expressing her love for the finished product and the lyrics, which were featured on the fourth slide of the post.

"I’m very happy with the end result, and it’s wonderful to hear the orchestral score bring such expansiveness to my music. I thoroughly enjoyed researching the history and journey of Voyager 1 & 2, and was glad to be able to quote the great Carl Sagan within the song, and his famous description of our fragile and beautiful ‘pale blue dot’.”

17 years after his death, Michael Jackson is having an extraordinary year. Thanks to the release of Michael, the biopic that begins with his life in the Jackson 5 and ends with his first solo tour, the King of Pop's music has skyrocketed back to the top of the charts. "Billie Jean," one of his most popular songs, has accomplished two firsts: making it to No. 1 on Spotify's Global Charts and reaching No. 1 on Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales Chart.

Conquering the Digital Charts

"Billie Jean" first appeared on the R&B Digital Song Sales Chart in 2013, entering at No. 25. Since then, it's gotten closer to the top, but was repeatedly blocked by other artists. However, "Billie Jean" isn't the only song vying for dominance on the chart. Jackson also has two other songs in the top five: "Beat It" and "Human Nature."

The song's success on Spotify's Global chart has followed a similar trajectory. After holding onto the No. 1 spot for two weeks, as of June 24, it was knocked down to No. 4, with Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber with Nicki Minaj taking the top spots. With more than 4 million daily plays, it's likely we'll see it surge back to the top, again.

The Origin of a Masterpiece

For a song that was released 43 years ago, this kind of resurgence is phenomenal. The fact that it's "Billie Jean" makes it easier to understand.

The iconic song was the second single released from Thriller, Jackson's highly acclaimed sixth studio album. When it debuted on January 22, 1983, it quickly climbed to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, then known as the Black Singles Chart. It stayed on the chart for 32 weeks, seven of those in the top spot.
