Two Saint Bernards Save All Their Excitement for Their Favorite Walking Buddy
There’s something extra special about dogs who have a favorite walking buddy, the kind of friendship that turns an ordinary, everyday routine into the highlight of their day. It just makes exercise easier, too, when you can get motivation from a bestie or two.
This video shows two Saint Bernards who not only have each other to play with that day, but they're patiently waiting for their German Shepherd friend to join them. The second they spot each other, everything changes, and it's pure friendship in motion. Take a look!

And their best friend is also a dog who is a German Shepherd, and you can see immediately that these three are thick as thieves, and it's so cute!

Saint Bernard Dogs Are Known for Getting Along With OthersThere is no question that these three dogs are the very best of friends, and it's no surprise to see two Saint Bernards getting along with a German Shepherd, according to experts.
The American Kennel Club describes Saint Bernard dogs as being "playful, charming, [and] inquisitive," and when you look at their family life profile, these guys land at the very top of the scale of "affectionate with family" into the "lovey-dovey" category, while also being the top of the "good with children" spectrum and approximately halfway up the "good with other dogs" spectrum, which is amazing.
When we look at German Shepherds, their stats in the family life profile exactly match those of Saint Bernards, so it's no surprise that these three are besties for life.
Pet Parents Are in Love With This Tiny Hair Removal Tool on Amazon
Parade Pets aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Even if we were only driving 5 minutes down the road to go fishing, my pup Karma was an amazing co-pilot. She’d sit in the front seat, smile and pant, stick her head out the window, and love life.
There was only one problem: Karma was a shedder, and my passenger seat took a beating over the years. No matter how hard I tried, I would keep finding fur all over the car, and this was after she’d covered my blanket and couch in fur!
If you have a dog in your life, then you know my pain all too well. Luckily for us, Amazon has a mini pet hair remover for only $13 during its Big Spring Sale through March 31, and it’s quickly become a hit among pet parents.
This Tool Will Work Wonders on Your Car and Furniture- The mini pet hair remover comes in a triangular shape, and you only need to “glide” it across anything from furniture and bedding to car seats.
- Although it comes in seven (7) colors, only the black and orange ones are on sale. However, the black one is the cheapest.
- As always, Amazon offers free shipping to Prime members.
Courtesy of Amazon
Shop ItThis mini pet hair remover has an impressive 4.6-star rating, with 77% of shoppers leaving a perfect score. This tool is gaining momentum, with over 4,000 sales on Amazon in the last month.
Shoppers Say…- “This is the only pet hair remover that has actually worked! Very easy to use and pet hair comes off quickly with minimal time and effort.”
- “I have a beagle mix and watch my friends and family’s dogs and needed a solution for the shedding and the dog hair that would get embedded in the car’s floor areas, and this works so well! I’m buying some for my friends and family!”
The Bottom Line: It’s an understatement to say that getting rid of fur is a pain, so I love reading all the positive feedback about this tool. Many of the reviews praise how easy the Analan is to use, as well as its ability to make used items look brand new. It sounds like a winner to me, especially as we start approaching the summer — and, if your dog is like Karma, then you’ll be running into pet hair all day, every day.
Cat Brings Home Stray As 'One Night Stand' and the Outcome Has Us Cracking Up
My dogs can be a bit territorial at times. They don't mind if another dog comes over to visit, but sleepovers are crossing the line. I'm sure my Dachshund and my Pug mix would come to accept another fur baby in the house, but it would definitely take time.
This gray cat spearheaded the idea of adding another feline to the house when he brought home a stray kitty, and now he's having second thoughts.
@ceefittonGrumpy boy 😂 #catsoftiktok
♬ Grumpy cat - Internet CulturaIn the TikTok from @ceefitton, a black-and-gray striped cat ate out of a bowl on the dining room table. The pretty kitty looked perfectly comfortable noshing on the table top, almost like she had her meals there every day.
The camera panned over to a gray cat huddled against the couch, giving the other feline a downright death stare.
"POV your cat brings home a stray and now that she's part of the family he absolutely hates her," the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, "Grumpy boy."
The gray cat obviously didn't realize he was gaining a new resident when he brought the feline friend home. He probably assumed she would stay for a snack and then be on her way. His angry expression spoke volumes on his feelings regarding his unexpected predicament.
Why the Change of Heart? The social media post didn't give a specific reason, such as an argument or an annoying habit, for the cat's sudden shift in feelings. Followers suspected a romantic entanglement that went awry.
"He wanted a one-night stand and you made it into a marriage," one speculated.
"I don’t think he was looking for anything long term," another remarked.

"He said, 'Your Uber’s outside'," a follower joked.
"That was his one-night stand. Now she's family. Of course it's awkward," someone pointed out.
"Bro, you never bring the girl home to the family too early," a fan noted.
The female feline appeared oblivious to the negative vibes coming from the gray cat. Time will tell if she's able to win over the cranky kitty.

Maine Coon Mom Cat Adopts Tiny Foster Puppy and Starts Nursing Her
There are some animal stories that feel almost too gentle for the internet, like you want to sit with them for a second before the chaos comes rushing back in. This one starts with a tiny puppy who was not doing so hot, the kind of situation that usually goes one of two ways, and neither of them feels great.
But then something unexpected starts happening. And it keeps happening, even after someone tries to stop it.
@mossycottagemainecoonsOne of the quiet rewards of being a breeder who’s also involved in rescue is getting to witness moments like this. People often act like ethical breeding and rescue live on opposite sides of the fence. In reality, they’re both rooted in the same thing: caring deeply about animals and doing what’s best for them. Sometimes that looks like carefully planning healthy, well raised litters. Sometimes it looks like stepping in to help the vulnerable ones who need a little extra support. Either way, the goal is the same. And every now and then… you get a reminder of why it all matters. #mossycottagemainecoons #mainecoon #animalrescue #fosterpuppy #catmom
♬ sonido original - Rocío Alvarez Creaciones DigitTikTok user @mossycottagemainecoons shared the beautiful video, explaining that the tiny black foster puppy arrived fading and too weak to compete with her larger litter. The plan was to step in and bottle-feed her until she gained strength, just enough to give her a chance.
Related: Tabby Cat Steals Newborn Puppies and Decides They’re Her Babies
But the Maine Coon mom in the home had other ideas. Not once, but twice, the puppy was found tucked into her nest with her newborn kittens. Each time she was removed, and each time she somehow made her way back. At a certain point, it stops feeling like a coincidence and starts feeling like a decision. That's her baby now.
Then things shift in a way that honestly feels like a miracle. The Maine Coon begins grooming her, caring for her, and eventually even nursing the puppy alongside her own kittens. Slowly, the little puppy starts to fight again. She gets stronger. She stabilizes. And when she is finally ready, she returns to her actual litter to learn how to be a dog.
People in the comments were completely emotional over it, and not even trying to hide it. One person wrote, “She knew exactly what that baby needed! My Maine Coon mix is definitely a rescuer and momma cat to all baby animals and animals in need.” Another said, “This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen,” which feels accurate on a cellular level.
Others were just in awe of the moment, with comments like, “This is incredible. Thank you for sharing her story with us!” and “What a lesson we could all take from this,” which… yeah. That one lingers a bit. Someone else added, “No babies go hungry around that mama,” and honestly, that might be the whole story right there.
Also, quick aside, Meatball (my Maine Coon cat) would absolutely try to adopt something deeply unhelpful like a loaf of bread and then act personally betrayed when I intervened, so this level of maternal focus is impressive to me.
Why Cats Sometimes Care for Other Animals @mhanimalrescueSapphire has no milk for some reason. I am syringe feeding kittens and bunny #bunny #cat #kittens #love #takeaNAIRbreak #happy #kittycat #orphanbunny
♬ Good Day - Nappy RootsCats, especially mother cats, can have incredibly strong maternal instincts that are not always limited to their own kittens. When hormones are active after giving birth, that caregiving drive can extend to other small, vulnerable animals that trigger the same response.
It's not that the cat understands species differences in the way humans do. It is more about cues. Size, sound, movement, and vulnerability can all signal “baby” to a nursing cat, and once that switch flips, the behavior can be surprisingly consistent.
Situations like this are not super usual, but they are not unheard of either. When they do happen, it is usually because the environment feels safe and the animal is already in a caregiving state. Add in a persistent little puppy who keeps ending up back in the nest, and sometimes instinct just wins.

Adorable Puppy’s Obsession With One Stick Turns Into Pure Chaos
Every dog parent has seen this situation unfold: a dog locks onto something random—a leaf, a shadow, an oddly shaped rock. And in a second, that object turns into the most interesting thing on the planet and the dog goes crazy trying to get it.
These episodes of chaos don’t mean something is wrong. Rather, these types of over-the-top reactions are often a sign of a healthy, stimulated puppy, and a recent video posted online shows just how fun and funny that chaos can be.
In a recent video shared on social media platform Reddit, we see exactly how young dogs can hilariously fail to regulate those emotions. What looks like chaos is actually enthusiasm without brakes.
As his parent explained, Mango is an 8-month-old cocker spaniel, and he literally screams when he sees a stick. In the video, his stick is stuck in a bush—one that is a lot bigger than him. Mango tries to go around the bush to get his stick, but fails. Then, fully determined, he decides to jump onto the bush and get his stick.
The best part? This wasn’t even a regular habit. This was a brand-new obsession, which his parent saw for the first time and decided it was worth sharing with the world. Well, thank you Reddit for bringing a smile to our face.

What Are Fans Saying About It?Fans instantly recognized Mango’s enthusiasm and loved the energy he brings. One person commented, “Mango is the proud owner of the most awesomest stick!” Other people posted “Mango is hysterical. Does he have a fan club? I will join!” and “Lively little dude! I laughed at your other dog with his back turned to him, trying to ignore the shenanigans.”
Some people posted that they understood that cocker spaniel energy. One person said, “I have a cockapoo and the spaniel side is strong with mine... I recognize the goofiness right away. Literally jumping through hoops for any stick/ball. Endless source of entertainment.”
Why Dogs Get Obsessed With SticksFor dogs, sticks are more than toys. They stimulate several of their instincts, providing plenty of fun and mental stimulation.
First, they mimic prey. The size, the texture, even the way they snap or move when picked up can trigger a dog’s natural hunting and chewing behaviors. Puppies are wired to explore the world through their mouths, and sticks are everywhere.
Second, sticks are unpredictable. Unlike a store-bought toy, no two are the same. One might be brittle and crunchy. Another might be heavy and hard to drag. That unpredictability keeps a dog engaged.
There’s also a simple reward loop at play. When a dog fixates on an object and keeps trying, their brain releases small bursts of dopamine. Even failing to get the stick can make the behavior repeat, especially in high-energy breeds like cocker spaniels.
That’s why Mango doesn’t just walk away. He tries to jump into the bush to get his stick.
When to Step In and When to LaughMoments like this are funny, but they’re also a chance to guide behavior.
If your dog gets fixated like Mango, calling them away, redirecting with a toy or turning it into a quick training moment can help build focus. The goal isn’t to stop the excitement. It’s to teach them how to come back from it.
Still, sometimes it’s OK to just watch it unfold and laugh because one day that wild, screaming puppy energy settles down, and you might actually miss the days when a single stick could make their entire world explode.

Boxer Begging to Go Relax on the Patio With Her iPad Is Legit All of Us
Some dogs want to go outside and run around. Princess Poppy the Boxer wants to go outside, get some sun and judge the neighbors while watching Paw Patrol. Sounds like the perfect Saturday morning to me.
There's a TikTok where Princess Poppy's making her intentions extremely clear: she wants to go outside on the patio. But not just go on the patio—she has requirements.
The caption reads, "A girl needs her hat and iPad 💞," which honestly undersells the whole situation taking place.
The POV text: "You want to go on the patio with your hat and iPad" and that's exactly what's transpiring.
@princess.poppyyyA girl needs her hat and IPad 💞 #doglover #fyp #foryou #boxerdog #dogmom

Princess Poppy's response involves howling and "talking" until her voice is heard. Her look says stop asking questions you already know the answer to and open the door.
Mom’s pampering continues,"You need your hat. Here."
"You want your iPad, Mama? Get it. Come on."
Princess Poppy's getting very impatient with all this back-and-forth. Let's go, mom. Stop dilly-dallying.
Finally the patio door opens to reveal her bed and hat already waiting for her.
Now she's set up. PJs? Check. Sun hat? Check. Lovey? Check. She's situated herself like some elderly gentleman on a park bench, ready to people-watch and judge each and every passersby.

Mom lays out the rules: "If you want to stay out here, you cannot be a Karen. Cars are allowed to drive by and people are outside walking cause it's a nice day. So, we're gonna be nice to everyone or you're gonna lose your patio privileges."
Princess Poppy's holding court from her perch; sunbathing and watching Paw Patrol on her iPad. Judging her unknowing subjects.
Then she gives mom the ‘step to’ look. "My snack?"
Mom immediately brings popcorn because honestly, who wouldn’t. Everything’s better with popcorn.
All is good in the world and Princess Poppy continues to reign supreme over her beloved sunshine land.

The comments are busting with people who recognize this Boxer energy.
"We just went through this… The angry snuffing and huffing is too funny 🥰🥰🥰🤣🤣 And btw, you don't take privileges from grandog. She and grandma will take privileges from you… I said what I said… All my love, Grandma"
"Omg, patio privileges!"
"She's the Queen 🤴," slay Princess Poppy. Slay.
Boxers Are Devoted, Expressive Dogs Who Form Deep Bonds With Their FamiliesHere's why Princess Poppy's whole demanding diva routine makes sense: Boxers are completely, unapologetically devoted to their people. They don't just tolerate humans—they're genuinely obsessed with being involved in everything their families do.They know they are an intregal part of the family unity.
Boxers are expressive dogs. They don't hide what they're feeling, at all. Their directness is one of my absolute favorite thing about my Boxer and Boxers as a breed. Happy? Their whole body wiggles. Want something? They'll let you know. Repeatedly. With sound effects.
That devotion extends to wanting specific things done specific ways. Princess Poppy knows what team work makes the dream work and she wants: mom’s help, patio, hat, iPad and snacks. And she's comfortable with letting everyone within earshot know that.

Boxers are also very in tune to their families' moods and feelings and respond beautifully to affection. They're patient, warm, loving and endlessly entertaining. Princess Poppy sitting there in her sun hat watching Paw Patrol while eating popcorn? Not only is it peak Boxer behavior, these gentle loving creatures deserve nothing less.
She's not being difficult. She's being a Boxer. Devoted, expressive, specific about her comfort, and absolutely certain that her needs should be met.
The patio privileges stand. Princess Poppy has spoken.
Rescue Cat Likes To Be ‘Dribbled Like a Basketball’ and We Can’t Get Over It
Cats are so weird. They all have their weird little things, but some of them are definitely a little weirder than others. Rescue cats in particular often develop strange little quirks, and sometimes, it's those exact quirks that really help them get adopted!
For example, this rescue cat. Her quirk is that she loves when people dribble her like a basketball. They marketed it as, "She likes rough pets," but like, come on. That cat wants to be a basketball so bad:
@yeastybeastiesshe just keeps coming back for more 😭😭 #cat #fyp #catsoftiktok

CeeCee was rescued semi-recently, and the shelter made it very clear that this cat enjoys "rough petting." Her new dad assumed that just meant that he would need to literally just pet her a little harder, but no. What she actually likes is being dribbled like a basketball.
The way her tail shakes when he does it is so funny! Some people in the comments were a little bit concerned that she actually didn't like it, but did you see her? She keeps coming back for more! One thing about cats is that they're never going to stay somewhere they don't want to be. When she's not in basketball mode, she's pretending to be a parrot:
@yeastybeastiesShe climbs us daily. We are her cat tree.. #cat #catsoftiktok #fyp
♬ original sound - Yeasty BeastiesTo be clear, she has cat trees. She is very well-loved, and she has everything she needs. Climbing a cat tree just isn't as fun!
Why Do Cats Love Rough Pets?We all love our pets, and it's natural to want to be gentle with them. Everyone says you should, but some cats (and dogs) really seem to like it when you're a little rougher while petting them! It's so weird!
Orange stray cat getting pets.Image via Shutterstock / Mateus Fiuza
Rough petting does a lot of things you might not expect for cats, like:
- Activates their hunting instincts, providing mental stimulation.
- Provides comfort and reminds them of when their mamas used to groom them as kittens.
- Hits their nerves just right, which releases endorphins.
Now, rough petting does not mean you can slap them around or anything. It simply means that you should try patting them firmly: most cats prefer this on their backsides, and some pats just above the base of the tail. Gradually, you might be able to shoot a 3-pointer with them! CeeCee is definitely almost there!

Chocolate Lab Is the Best Protector to 'His Baby': 'This Has My Whole Heart'
Getting your dog ready for a new baby can be a very stressful event in a multitude of ways. Will they be gentle with the baby? Will they adjust to splitting your attention? Do they realize you still love them? Will they accept this tiny human being you brought into their world as part of their pack?
Millie Mae the Chocolate Labrador had a different approach: immediate ownership. The baby was hers.
There's a TikTok where Millie Mae's sitting on the couch next to “the baby”, and her entire vibe says, "this is mine now!" The caption reads "Best friends already" but honestly the tone feels more like, "This is my baby and I'm in charge of protecting them."
The text overlay confirms it: "This is the dog's baby."

The comments are full of fans whose hearts are melting.
"Oh, this has my whole heart 🥹😍," captured the universal reaction.
"This is so so sweet!!🥹," it really is.

Millie Mae's not being aggressive or in the least bit overbearing. She's just existing. Directly, next to the baby. Watching. Alert. MIllie is gentle but still, clearly protective. This is her baby now, and she's taking that job extremely seriously.
Labrador Retrievers Are Loyal Dogs Who Form Deep Protective Bonds With Their FamiliesHere's why Millie Mae's behavior makes total sense: Labs bond incredibly strongly with their families. That loyalty runs deep, and when they sense someone—especially tiny and vulnerable human beings—in need of looking after, that protective instinct kicks in to high gear.
Labs aren't what you’d expect of as a traditional guard dog. They are not naturally aggressive or intimidating in the least. But, their loyalty? That's real and it’s spectacular. Their sheer size alone—a large dog sitting protectively next to a tiny baby—has genuine deterrent value. I know I’d think twice before even looking at Millie.
What makes Chocolate Labs especially good with babies is their easy-going temperament. They're warm, adaptable, and naturally gentle. They're pay attention to what's going on around them and will absolutely notice if something feels off. They trust their intuition, but they're not going to overreact or become unpredictable around visitors.

Millie Mae sitting there calmly and patiently next to that baby, just watching and being present? That's the story of a Lab doing exactly what they do. They're loyal, tender companions who take their place in the family seriously without being overly aggressive about it all.
That baby's got a protector. Not because Millie Mae's mean or scary but because she loves that baby and considers them part of her pack. Labs protect their pack at all costs.
The "this is the dog's baby" text overlay isn't wrong. Millie Mae's claimed this tiny human. She's gentle, she's watchful, and she isn’t going anywhere.
Best friends already? Of course, but also, bodyguard the tiny human. Guardian and the one being guarded.
Millie Mae's on duty, and that baby couldn't be safer.
Dogs Boarding Bus for Home Is Exactly Like Wrangling Kids At the End of a School Day
Our furry friends from the K9 Konvoy doggie daycare bus are back and funnier than ever. This time, though, we get to see what it's like supervising the boarding process at the end of their outdoor playtime, and the resemblance to corralling children onto their buses at the end of a school day is uncanny. The dogs bark orders (or are they complaints?) at one another while clamoring onto the steps of the bus, causing a bottleneck of pups at the entrance. One by one, they make their way down the aisle, some holding up the line looking for their favorite buddy or testing out different seats. Others seem totally confused, as if they are new to riding the bus, despite being regulars. Two dogs in particular decide that the driver's seat is their spot of choice.
"Y'all can't sit in the front," says their fearless leader when she sees the two sharing her captain's chair.
Based on this entertaining video, I think the idiom "like herding cats" might be more accurate as "wrangling dogs."

♬ original sound - K9 KonvoyHonestly, I could watch videos like this all day long. And viewers seem to agree in the comments.
As one fan correctly claims, "This is literally the best reality show on TV right now."

These pups must go home to their families good and tired, just like young children after a long day of using their brains and burning out their social batteries at school. But just like not all kids are suited for every school, not all dogs are cut out for group daycare.
Which Dogs Are Best Suited to Daycare?Dogs that thrive in daycare are typically social, high-energy, and confident, such as Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and Poodles. These breeds often enjoy constant interaction, playtime, and regular exercise.
Labs and Goldens are basically the overachievers of daycare. They’re friendly, easygoing, and happy to spend the day running around with new people and dogs.
Then you’ve got breeds like Poodles, Beagles, and Corgis, who are smart, active, and need both mental and physical stimulation—otherwise they’ll find their own “projects” at home (usually not the kind you want).
High-energy working and herding breeds—like Border Collies, Huskies, and German Shepherds—also tend to do well, mostly because they need something to do. Daycare gives them an outlet so they’re not pacing the house or inventing chaos later.
Even smaller dogs like Jack Russell Terriers can thrive in daycare, as long as they’re social—they may be tiny, but their energy absolutely is not.
It’s less about the exact breed, however, and more about personality. Dogs that enjoy other dogs, like activity, and can handle a busy environment are usually the ones who love daycare. Dogs that are more anxious, reactive, or low-energy might prefer a quieter setup.

Story of 7 Stolen Dogs Escaping and Making Trek Home Together Has the Internet Obsessed
Dogs are pack animals by nature. They instinctively look out for each other and stick together through thick and thin. I've seen it with my own two dogs — if my Dachshund isn't feeling well, her Pug brother stays by her side until she's ready to play again. When my Pug is overexcited and needs help calming down, his Doxie sister comes alongside him with a gentle reprimand to get him settled.
This group of seven dogs faced a traumatic challenge when they were stolen from their parents, but they made their way back home with no dog left behind.
@mustsharenewsThey reportedly did not split up at any point during their journey home. #mustsharenews #china #dogsoftiktok
♬ original sound - MustShareNews - MustShareNewsThe TikTok from @mustsharenews shared the amazing story of the pack of pooches, which appeared to include Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and a German Shepherd. A Corgi seemed to take the lead and watched over the entire group, so no one got lost.
"On March 16, seven dogs in Jilin, China, traveled around 17km (almost 11 miles) back to their village after escaping from a dog thief," the onscreen text explained as the pack of canines huddled on the side of the road. "The dogs were stolen from three different households and intended for slaughter at a dog meat shop."
The courageous canines were somehow able to escape from the moving truck that held them hostage and made a break for it on the Changshuang Expressway.
As the dogs walked along the side of the road, they stayed together as a group. If one pooch slowed down, the rest waited for them to catch up. Miraculously, all dogs were safely returned to their parents with only minor injuries. They were able to navigate dangerous traffic and unknown terrain by sticking together.
Pack Took Care of Injured German ShepherdA German Shepherd appeared to be injured from the escape. According to People, online viewers noted how the dogs surrounded the Shepherd to keep him in the center of the pack, safely supported throughout the journey.

The dogs were seen crossing fields and finding their way through streets while staying in a close cluster. Local rescuers later revealed that the canines are from the same village and frequently play together.
Thanks to their courage, resilience, and unwavering friendship, all seven dogs made it home safely and are in good condition. Their bravery and loyalty to each other are a wonderful example of a dog's dedication and devotion to others.

Lab Heeler Mix’s DNA Results Are a Shocking Combination of Dog Breeds
When you adopt a pup from the shelter, you know that the breed listed is generally based on an educated guess from shelter staff. Sometimes they know exactly what mom is, but dad is a mystery, so staffers adorn the pup with the all-encompassing "mix" label.
However, sometimes the breed is just a wild guess based on characteristics and what the staff has seen in the past. It can lead to the staff nailing the breed mix; other times, the pup turns out to be completely different. One dog parent thought they were adopting a Labrador mix, but DNA tests told a different and rather surprising story.

This Lab/Heeler Was Quite the DNA ShockerDNA tests are ever-popular in the world of dog adoption. While all pet parents care about is having a healthy, happy companion, sometimes it is nice to know what exactly you got yourself into. That's where the Reddit group, DoggyDNA, comes in handy.
While dog owners await the results of their dog's DNA test, other Redditors can guess what breeds they think your pup is. User MahoganyLoggins shares pictures of their sweet pup, Atlas, in the thread, saying the dog was listed as a Lab/Heeler mix, but they think he is a Lab/Pit combo with a little bit of cattle dog.
Redditors threw in all kinds of guesses including German Shorthair Pointer, likely thanks to the spots on Atlas's legs. But, I don't think anyone was quite prepared for what Altas really is. His parents chose Embark for his DNA test, and it came back with a truly remarkable mix of dog breeds that blew my and everyone else's minds.
Related: Mixed-Breed Dog Has a Potato Body and a Tiny Tater Tot Head
Redditors Blown Away by ResultsAccording to his Embark results, Atlas is 32% Great Pyrenees and 31% Cane Corso. I'll be honest- neither of those two breeds crossed my mind as a possibility for this sweet pup's genetic makeup. But the surprises didn't stop there.
Altas is also almost 19% Doberman Pinscher, 13% Golden Retriever, and, to top it off, 3.6% German Shepherd Dog. While I can see the Doberman, especially with Atlas's sleek fur, the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd Dog completely threw me. Also, this is truly a testament to how strong the short-haired genes of the Doberman and Cane Corso are to overcome the fluff that comes with the three other breeds.
Redditors were just as shocked. One writes, "What a mix. Atlas is precious. Thank you for adopting.....and good luck. That's gonna be a whole lotta dawwwg." MahoganyLoggins says in the comments that Embark estimates that he will top out around 86 pounds. Of course, with that mix of big dog DNA running through his veins, I would expect nothing less. Despite being blown away, Redditors all agreed on one thing: his sock feet are amazing.

“Grabbed my heart with those beautiful eyes. Big precious baby,” one confessed. Another added, “Oh my goodness, what a beautiful baby! Those eyes! Absolutely precious.”
“This can’t be real,” another stated, “ What a gorgeous baby.”
Others commented on this puppy’s size writing, “You have a bear,” and “Big precious baby.”
One of the world’s biggest dog breeds, a male Newfoundland will weigh 120pounds-150 pounds as an adult, which explains this pup’s size.

Affectionate and doting, these big beauties are so affable, one will be hard pressed to do anything but cuddle and play with theirs all day. Still, if Copper is indicative of what it’s like to have a Newfie in the house, it’s well worth the ioss of the ability to get anything done each day.

Tiny Gray Kitten's Happy Little Trills Are Pure Wholesome Goodness
Sometimes you hear a cat make a sound and you just… pause. Like, hold on. What was that? Was that a purr? Was that a squeak? Did this tiny creature just unlock a secret bonus sound???
Because this little gray kitten named Tino is out here making the most joyful, ridiculous, tiny little trilly noises while being petted, and it sounds like a happy squeaky toy that came alive. It is soft. It is weirdly musical. It is making people immediately fall in love.
@softfaithdaysCalling all vets!! I got Tino about a month ago and he has always made this sound when I pet him. I took him to the vet the week I got him for them to check it out and they said he may have a URI and gave him shots. However, it’s been 3 weeks and no change. Anyone have a cat that makes this noise? #veterinarian #vettok #cat #kitten #kidsoftiktok
♬ Little Life - Robert GromotkaTikToker @softfaithdays shared the adorable clip, and the cat mom was actually a little worried at first. She explained that Tino had been making this sound since she got him and even took him to the vet just to make sure everything was OK.
Turns out… he’s just extremely happy.
Like next-level happy.

The viewer in the comments immediately reassured her.
“That is a trill. He’s a happy little velociraptor.”
“He is purring and trilling at the same time. He will likely do this forever. Congratulations.”
Others made it very clear that this is elite cat behavior.
“This is the top tier of cat happy. Trilling. The level above purr.”
“That’s the ultimate purr. The final form.”
And honestly, I love that for him. Imagine just existing at maximum happiness like that. No thoughts. Just vibes. Just trills.
My Maine Coon, Meatball, does this all the time, way more than my Orange Cat, Tarkus, or my Calico, Elvis. Meatball will just walk into a room announcing himself like a tiny motorized pigeon and expect everyone to acknowledge him immediately, which we obviously do because we are not monsters.
What Is Trilling? @mother_ofcats_Morning trills from the baby #catsoftiktok #fyp #cats #foryoupage
♬ original sound - Mother of CatsTrilling is a sound cats make that is kind of like a mix between a purr and a chirp, and it usually means they are very happy, very content, or trying to communicate something positive.
Kitties often use trills to greet their humans, get attention, or show affection. It is especially common in kittens or very social cats, and some breeds, like Maine Coons, seem to do it more than others.
Basically, if your cat is trilling at you, you are doing something right.
Like, really right.
You have achieved peak cat approval, which is honestly one of the highest honors available in life.

Golden Retriever Teaching New Puppy Sibling To Swim Is a Lifeguard at Heart
Deciding to bring home a new puppy playmate for your resident pup comes with many perks. Not only do they become each other's best friend, but your older dog might even teach the little one a thing or two.
This is exactly what happened when Golden Retriever puppy Stevie joined her new family. Her dog brother, Chili, was instantly smitten with her and loves being the big brother. Now, he's teaching the sweet girl to swim, and it's one of the most heartwarming scenes you'll see all week.
@goldenchilidogthe sweetest boy 🥹 he was drastically slowing down to match her speed 😭 #goldenretriever #swimmingdog
♬ Island In The Sun - WeezerIt's like @goldenchilidog knew we all needed a clip like this because it's 21 seconds of doggy sibling perfection. The video shows a dedicated Chili swimming alongside little Stevie, guiding her with the toy in both of their mouths. This is all safe thanks to the human lifeguard wading next to them.
The swim lessons are part of Green Leaf Pet Resort's coolest offerings, providing an aquatic center for dogs to learn how to swim, get acclimated to the water, fitness training, water therapy, and recovery—or to just have fun. This sounds like every dog's dream, and I think Stevie and Chili would second that!

The adorable duo has captured the internet's collective heart, with many praising Chili's patience and devotion to his sibling. If you're wondering how things went beyond the two of them lapping around the pool together, you're in luck!
A much-needed second installment shows it didn't take long before sweet Stevie caught on and realized she's got this swimming thing in the bag! As Chili watches the Golden Retriever puppy find her "sea legs," he looks like a proud big brother. It's incredible to watch Stevie's confidence grow, and it's all because Chili believed in her.

♬ original sound - Chili & Gailin & Stevie How Older Dogs Help Young Siblings SwimWith the help of an older, more self-assured dog sibling, younger pups can learn a lot when it comes to swimming (as you saw!).
Their confidence, calm demeanor, and encouragement are one thing, but the little ones look up to them to model the correct behaviors. Then, they'll follow suit. Dogs have a natural instinct to follow their leader because of their innate pack drive mentality, so watching another pup enjoying the water shows young ones it's safe and maybe even a little fun.
Look how quickly Stevie caught on to swimming. Now, she's having the time of her life—and it's all because of her loving big brother showing her the ropes!

10-Year-Old Dog Escapes Pet Sitter And Spends a Harrowing 43 Days in the Wild
Every dog owner's nightmare scenario is their pup going missing while they are away. Whether it's them running away from home while you're miles away on vacation, or taking them to the destination with you and them getting out in an unfamiliar place, either scenario is terrifying.
Unfortunately, for one dog dad, it became a heartbreaking reality: his dog, Rocky, escaped from a pet sitter. The 10-year-old pup spent the next 43 days in Colorado's snowy wilderness: a place that was miles from home.

Colorado Pup Goes Missing for 43 DaysRocky, his dad Steve Maa, and his girlfriend were in the middle of a cross-country move for Maa's new job in California when the pup went missing on a stopover in Colorado. The plan was to ski in Summit County.
Rocky was dropped off with a pet sitter near Montezuma. But he slipped out of his harness and took off, according to Summit Daily. A search was underway as soon as Maa heard the news. But after hours of no luck, the couple turned to Summit Lost Pet Rescue, a non-profit.
Co-founder Brandon Ciullo and the organization's volunteer team went to work the next morning, setting up cameras and a scent station with the pup's items and things that smelled like Maa, which are key to retrieving a lost dog.
Cuillo told the outlet, "Especially if it’s an unfamiliar area, a dog will come back, smell something that smells familiar, and then end up just staying in that particular area."
Since it was late December, the temperatures were frigid, which is concerning for an older dog who doesn't know the area. Rocky was seen multiple times in the area, but would not come to the volunteers. The sightings gave everyone hope, but the pup wasn't seen again for 39 days, and Maa and his girlfriend couldn't stay in the area any longer. Maa was set to start his new job in Los Angeles and couldn't stay to support the search any longer.
Just as the volunteers were getting ready to stop searching for Rocky, he was captured on someone's porch camera. Volunteers set up a trap in the area and, after multiple attempts, captured the pup. In the 43 days he was missing, Rocky lost 22 pounds, going from a healthy 50 to a dangerously low 28.
While Maa drove from Los Angeles to Summit County, Rocky was cared for by the Summit County Animal Shelter, the Buffalo Mountain Animal Hospital, and the Rescue. Maa and Rocky's emotional reunion was captured on video by Summit Lost Pet Rescue.

What to do if Your Pet is LostIf you find yourself in the unthinkable situation where your dog is lost, there are a few things you can do to increase your ability to find them. Things like calling local animal shelters, animal control, rescues, and veterinarians can help your odds of finding your lost dog. Many cities also have Facebook and other social media groups where you can share your lost pet, letting people in the area know to look out for them.
Whether you're at home or traveling, placing familiar items outside will give your pup a scent trail to follow. Also, be sure to keep your pet's microchip information up to date. They will be returned to you faster if the veterinarian or rescue can scan their chip.

Cat Has an 'Existential Crisis' at 2 AM and We Can't Stop Laughing
Pet parents love when our cats and dogs express themselves, but there's a time and a place for everything. And that time is not 2:48 a.m. But tell that to Bean, an adorable but very vocal kitty who really finds his voice in the middle of the night.
In a hilarious clip from TikTok, we get to hear this loud kitty say his piece in the wee hours of the morning. Take a look and see if you could handle how much this chatty cat has to say.
@beautynthebeanBean’s 2AM Existential Crisis 🙀🌙 #cat #meow #catsoftiktok #BeautyntheBean #funny
♬ original sound - Beauty and the BeanFortunately, Bean's family has a good sense of humor and translates this speech for us.
"Is anyone awake? Morning is taking too long. Let’s start the day. Open your doors right now. No time to waste. Can you hear me? It’s Bean. Why is it still dark? Where’s the sun? I came here to say something, but I can’t remember. Do you know? Let me think... It’s coming back... It’s gone again... which makes you wonder... where do thoughts go? Do they leave us? Or were they never really ours? Am I forgetting? Or am I being forgotten? And now I’m left here awake in the dark. Everyone keeps saying go back to bed! But what is a bed, and who decided I belong in one? These are the questions that keep me up."
So funny! Although maybe less amusing if you're the one trying to get some shut-eye. If you have an early wake-up, you may be tempted to find the kitty version of melatonin.

Viewers love Bean's monologue and encourage the family to join him in his antics.
"Poor Beanie. He’s lonesome and wants to play. GET UP!! 😂😂😂," one viewer wrote.
"Sooooooo, when’s his audiobook coming out? 🤣🤭," another asked.
He does have a lot to say!

"Jeeze Bean. We heard you way down here in North Carolina 🙀," another fan joked.
How Do You Quiet a Vocal Kitty? As much as we adore Bean's voice, it could make it tough to get some much-needed sleep. Once you've ruled out that there isn't anything medically wrong with your kitty, you may have success minimizing meowing by not rewarding each vocalization with treats or attention.
Of course, cats may be trying to tell you they're hungry or they'd like their litter box refreshed. In this case, it seems like Bean is just a little bored. Maybe he heard a noise outside and wants to protect his family.

Of course, it's easy for Bean to do this; he gets to catnap all day! I hope he decides to save his monologues for midday instead of the middle of the night!
Rescue Dog With Face of a Human Man Has Everyone Swooning
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you can't dictate when a pet chooses you to be their forever person. Nearly every cat and dog I've ever rescued entered my life at random, kismet ways, and I don't argue with fate! It's a real gift to be the one they deem worthy of caring for them (whether we're ready or not).
One rescue dog named Max survived in the woods as a stray before puttering up to his new mom and silently saying, "I choose you." Once you get a view of his human man-looking face, you'll understand why Max's mom immediately scooped this boy up and gave him the life of his dreams!

Several years ago, the wrinkly pug was the most popular breed of toy dog. While they've dropped down the list, they remain one of the most popular toy dog breeds, and now it seems like they're surging back in popularity again.
The American Kennel Club recently released its list of the most popular dog breeds. The pug was ranked in the 38th spot. But when it comes to the toy dog category, the pug is among the most popular. According to the Royal Kennel Club, the pug is the fourth most popular toy dog breed.
The club does its ranking by registrations of new dogs. While people might expect tiny fluffy dogs to dominate the toy dog rankings, that is not the case. For example, the cavalier King Charles spaniel holds the No. 1 spot.
The humble pug continues to show up in conversations as the perfect companion for a variety of reasons. There is something about their face and that slightly worried expression, the way they follow you from room to room, the quiet insistence on being included in everything.

If you have ever had a long day and sat down, only for your dog to climb into your lap like it has been waiting for that exact moment, you understand the appeal. Pugs are built just for that moment.
Why Pugs Keep Appearing on Popularity ListsThe Royal Kennel Club tracks registration, which reflects real decisions people are making. And it seems like people are wanting smaller dogs that fit apartment living, have a calmer temperament and show a strong human attachment.
That is the definition of the pug. What they excel at is providing companionship to real households. If you want to know more about this dog breed, take a look at the video below.
This dog provides less chaos and more closeness. In 2026, that close relationship might be the biggest trend of all.
Understanding the Toy Dog GroupThe Royal Kennel Club separates dog breeds into seven different groups, each with a particular set of attributes.
For example, the toy group is where you can find a dog that is affectionate and small enough that can fit in an apartment.
One surprise from the list is there is no toy poodle on it. That is potentially because pet parents might have moved toward miniature and standard poodles instead.
Some of the other popular toy dog breeds include Pomeranian, Chihuahua (both long coat and short coat variations), Maltese and bichon frise.
