On March 18, 2026, TikTok user Magnus & Special Stanley (@suewebster09) shared a video of her two beautiful Saint Bernards, Magus and Special Stanley, waiting for a friend to join them on their walk for the day. And their best friend is also a dog who is a German Shepherd, and you can see immediately that these three are thick as thieves, and it's so cute!

The two boys, Magnus and Special Stanley, are so excited to see Kaiser, and the three of them have all the energy surging through their bodies; you can feel it through the screen. These three would have hours of fun together, just feeding off each other's energy. 

In the comments, others were happy to see these cute pups and all the fun they're having, too. Some comments included "So darling," "Adorable," and many emojis, including red hearts, paw prints, and heart-eye emojis.

There is no question that these three dogs are the very best of friends, and it's no surprise to see two Saint Bernards getting along with a German Shepherd, according to experts.

The American Kennel Club describes Saint Bernard dogs as being "playful, charming, [and] inquisitive," and when you look at their family life profile, these guys land at the very top of the scale of "affectionate with family" into the "lovey-dovey" category, while also being the top of the "good with children" spectrum and approximately halfway up the "good with other dogs" spectrum, which is amazing.

When we look at German Shepherds, their stats in the family life profile exactly match those of Saint Bernards, so it's no surprise that these three are besties for life.

In the TikTok from @ceefitton, a black-and-gray striped cat ate out of a bowl on the dining room table. The pretty kitty looked perfectly comfortable noshing on the table top, almost like she had her meals there every day.

The camera panned over to a gray cat huddled against the couch, giving the other feline a downright death stare.

"POV your cat brings home a stray and now that she's part of the family he absolutely hates her," the onscreen text explained, with the caption adding, "Grumpy boy."

The gray cat obviously didn't realize he was gaining a new resident when he brought the feline friend home. He probably assumed she would stay for a snack and then be on her way. His angry expression spoke volumes on his feelings regarding his unexpected predicament.

The social media post didn't give a specific reason, such as an argument or an annoying habit, for the cat's sudden shift in feelings. Followers suspected a romantic entanglement that went awry.

"He wanted a one-night stand and you made it into a marriage," one speculated.

"I don’t think he was looking for anything long term," another remarked.

TikTok user @mossycottagemainecoons shared the beautiful video, explaining that the tiny black foster puppy arrived fading and too weak to compete with her larger litter. The plan was to step in and bottle-feed her until she gained strength, just enough to give her a chance.

But the Maine Coon mom in the home had other ideas. Not once, but twice, the puppy was found tucked into her nest with her newborn kittens. Each time she was removed, and each time she somehow made her way back. At a certain point, it stops feeling like a coincidence and starts feeling like a decision. That's her baby now.

Then things shift in a way that honestly feels like a miracle. The Maine Coon begins grooming her, caring for her, and eventually even nursing the puppy alongside her own kittens. Slowly, the little puppy starts to fight again. She gets stronger. She stabilizes. And when she is finally ready, she returns to her actual litter to learn how to be a dog.

People in the comments were completely emotional over it, and not even trying to hide it. One person wrote, “She knew exactly what that baby needed! My Maine Coon mix is definitely a rescuer and momma cat to all baby animals and animals in need.” Another said, “This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen,” which feels accurate on a cellular level.

Cats, especially mother cats, can have incredibly strong maternal instincts that are not always limited to their own kittens. When hormones are active after giving birth, that caregiving drive can extend to other small, vulnerable animals that trigger the same response.

In a recent video shared on social media platform Reddit, we see exactly how young dogs can hilariously fail to regulate those emotions. What looks like chaos is actually enthusiasm without brakes.

As his parent explained, Mango is an 8-month-old cocker spaniel, and he literally screams when he sees a stick. In the video, his stick is stuck in a bush—one that is a lot bigger than him. Mango tries to go around the bush to get his stick, but fails. Then, fully determined, he decides to jump onto the bush and get his stick.

The best part? This wasn’t even a regular habit. This was a brand-new obsession, which his parent saw for the first time and decided it was worth sharing with the world. Well, thank you Reddit for bringing a smile to our face.

Fans instantly recognized Mango’s enthusiasm and loved the energy he brings. One person commented, “Mango is the proud owner of the most awesomest stick!” Other people posted “Mango is hysterical. That devotion extends to wanting specific things done specific ways. Princess Poppy knows what team work makes the dream work and she wants: mom’s help, patio, hat, iPad and snacks. And she's comfortable with letting everyone within earshot know that.

Boxers are also very in tune to their families' moods and feelings and respond beautifully to affection. They're patient, warm, loving and endlessly entertaining. Princess Poppy sitting there in her sun hat watching Paw Patrol while eating popcorn? Not only is it peak Boxer behavior, these gentle loving creatures deserve nothing less.

She's not being difficult. She's being a Boxer. Devoted, expressive, specific about her comfort, and absolutely certain that her needs should be met.

CeeCee was rescued semi-recently, and the shelter made it very clear that this cat enjoys "rough petting." Her new dad assumed that just meant that he would need to literally just pet her a little harder, but no. What she actually likes is being dribbled like a basketball.

Getting your dog ready for a new baby can be a very stressful event in a multitude of ways. Will they be gentle with the baby? Will they adjust to splitting your attention? Do they realize you still love them? Will they accept this tiny human being you brought into their world as part of their pack?

Millie Mae the Chocolate Labrador had a different approach: immediate ownership. The baby was hers.

Millie Mae's not being aggressive or in the least bit overbearing. She's just existing. Directly, next to the baby. Watching. Alert. MIllie is gentle but still, clearly protective. This is her baby now, and she's taking that job extremely seriously.

Here's why Millie Mae's behavior makes total sense: Labs bond incredibly strongly with their families. That loyalty runs deep, and when they sense someone—especially tiny and vulnerable human beings—in need of looking after, that protective instinct kicks in to high gear.

Labs aren't what you’d expect of as a traditional guard dog. They are not naturally aggressive or intimidating in the least. But, their loyalty? That's real and it’s spectacular. Their sheer size alone—a large dog sitting protectively next to a tiny baby—has genuine deterrent value. I know I’d think twice before even looking at Millie.

Millie Mae sitting there calmly and patiently next to that baby, just watching and being present? That's the story of a Lab doing exactly what they do. They're loyal, tender companions who take their place in the family seriously without being overly aggressive about it all.

That baby's got a protector. Not because Millie Mae's mean or scary but because she loves that baby and considers them part of her pack. Labs protect their pack at all costs.

Our furry friends from the K9 Konvoy doggie daycare bus are back and funnier than ever. This time, though, we get to see what it's like supervising the boarding process at the end of their outdoor playtime, and the resemblance to corralling children onto their buses at the end of a school day is uncanny. The dogs bark orders (or are they complaints?) at one another while clamoring onto the steps of the bus, causing a bottleneck of pups at the entrance. One by one, they make their way down the aisle, some holding up the line looking for their favorite buddy or testing out different seats. Others seem totally confused, as if they are new to riding the bus, despite being regulars. Two dogs in particular decide that the driver's seat is their spot of choice.

"Y'all can't sit in the front," says their fearless leader when she sees the two sharing her captain's chair.

Based on this entertaining video, I think the idiom "like herding cats" might be more accurate as "wrangling dogs."

These pups must go home to their families good and tired, just like young children after a long day of using their brains and burning out their social batteries at school. But just like not all kids are suited for every school, not all dogs are cut out for group daycare.

Dogs that thrive in daycare are typically social, high-energy, and confident, such as Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and Poodles. These breeds often enjoy constant interaction, playtime, and regular exercise. 

Labs and Goldens are basically the overachievers of daycare. They’re friendly, easygoing, and happy to spend the day running around with new people and dogs. 

Then you’ve got breeds like Poodles, Beagles, and Corgis, who are smart, active, and need both mental and physical stimulation—otherwise they’ll find their own “projects” at home (usually not the kind you want). 

High-energy working and herding breeds—like Border Collies, Huskies, and German Shepherds—also tend to do well, mostly because they need something to do. Daycare gives them an outlet so they’re not pacing the house or inventing chaos later. 

Even smaller dogs like Jack Russell Terriers can thrive in daycare, as long as they’re social—they may be tiny, but their energy absolutely is not. 

It’s less about the exact breed, however, and more about personality. Dogs that enjoy other dogs, like activity, and can handle a busy environment are usually the ones who love daycare. Dogs that are more anxious, reactive, or low-energy might prefer a quieter setup.

Dogs are pack animals by nature. They instinctively look out for each other and stick together through thick and thin. I've seen it with my own two dogs — if my Dachshund isn't feeling well, her Pug brother stays by her side until she's ready to play again. When my Pug is overexcited and needs help calming down, his Doxie sister comes alongside him with a gentle reprimand to get him settled.

This group of seven dogs faced a traumatic challenge when they were stolen from their parents, but they made their way back home with no dog left behind.

The TikTok from @mustsharenews shared the amazing story of the pack of pooches, which appeared to include Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and a German Shepherd. A Corgi seemed to take the lead and watched over the entire group, so no one got lost.

"On March 16, seven dogs in Jilin, China, traveled around 17km (almost 11 miles) back to their village after escaping from a dog thief," the onscreen text explained as the pack of canines huddled on the side of the road. "The dogs were stolen from three different households and intended for slaughter at a dog meat shop."

The courageous canines were somehow able to escape from the moving truck that held them hostage and made a break for it on the Changshuang Expressway.

As the dogs walked along the side of the road, they stayed together as a group. If one pooch slowed down, the rest waited for them to catch up. Miraculously, all dogs were safely returned to their parents with only minor injuries. They were able to navigate dangerous traffic and unknown terrain by sticking together.

A German Shepherd appeared to be injured from the escape. According to People, online viewers noted how the dogs surrounded the Shepherd to keep him in the center of the pack, safely supported throughout the journey.

The dogs were seen crossing fields and finding their way through streets while staying in a close cluster. Local rescuers later revealed that the canines are from the same village and frequently play together.

Thanks to their courage, resilience, and unwavering friendship, all seven dogs made it home safely and are in good condition. Their bravery and loyalty to each other are a wonderful example of a dog's dedication and devotion to others.

However, sometimes the breed is just a wild guess based on characteristics and what the staff has seen in the past. It can lead to the staff nailing the breed mix; other times, the pup turns out to be completely different. One dog parent thought they were adopting a Labrador mix, but DNA tests told a different and rather surprising story.

DNA tests are ever-popular in the world of dog adoption. While all pet parents care about is having a healthy, happy companion, sometimes it is nice to know what exactly you got yourself into. That's where the Reddit group, DoggyDNA, comes in handy.

While dog owners await the results of their dog's DNA test, other Redditors can guess what breeds they think your pup is. User MahoganyLoggins shares pictures of their sweet pup, Atlas, in the thread, saying the dog was listed as a Lab/Heeler mix, but they think he is a Lab/Pit combo with a little bit of cattle dog.

Redditors threw in all kinds of guesses including German Shorthair Pointer, likely thanks to the spots on Atlas's legs. But, I don't think anyone was quite prepared for what Altas really is. His parents chose Embark for his DNA test, and it came back with a truly remarkable mix of dog breeds that blew my and everyone else's minds.

According to his Embark results, Atlas is 32% Great Pyrenees and 31% Cane Corso. I'll be honest- neither of those two breeds crossed my mind as a possibility for this sweet pup's genetic makeup. But the surprises didn't stop there.

Altas is also almost 19% Doberman Pinscher, 13% Golden Retriever, and, to top it off, 3.6% German Shepherd Dog. While I can see the Doberman, especially with Atlas's sleek fur, the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd Dog completely threw me. Also, this is truly a testament to how strong the short-haired genes of the Doberman and Cane Corso are to overcome the fluff that comes with the three other breeds.

Redditors were just as shocked. One writes, "What a mix. Atlas is precious. Thank you for adopting.....and good luck. That's gonna be a whole lotta dawwwg." MahoganyLoggins says in the comments that Embark estimates that he will top out around 86 pounds. Of course, with that mix of big dog DNA running through his veins, I would expect nothing less. Despite being blown away, Redditors all agreed on one thing: his sock feet are amazing.

Every dog owner's nightmare scenario is their pup going missing while they are away. Whether it's them running away from home while you're miles away on vacation, or taking them to the destination with you and them getting out in an unfamiliar place, either scenario is terrifying.

Unfortunately, for one dog dad, it became a heartbreaking reality: his dog, Rocky, escaped from a pet sitter. The 10-year-old pup spent the next 43 days in Colorado's snowy wilderness: a place that was miles from home.

Rocky, his dad Steve Maa, and his girlfriend were in the middle of a cross-country move for Maa's new job in California when the pup went missing on a stopover in Colorado. The plan was to ski in Summit County.

Rocky was dropped off with a pet sitter near Montezuma. But he slipped out of his harness and took off, according to Summit Daily. A search was underway as soon as Maa heard the news. But after hours of no luck, the couple turned to Summit Lost Pet Rescue, a non-profit.

Co-founder Brandon Ciullo and the organization's volunteer team went to work the next morning, setting up cameras and a scent station with the pup's items and things that smelled like Maa, which are key to retrieving a lost dog.
Cuillo told the outlet, "Especially if it’s an unfamiliar area, a dog will come back, smell something that smells familiar, and then end up just staying in that particular area."

Since it was late December, the temperatures were frigid, which is concerning for an older dog who doesn't know the area. Rocky was seen multiple times in the area, but would not come to the volunteers. The sightings gave everyone hope, but the pup wasn't seen again for 39 days, and Maa and his girlfriend couldn't stay in the area any longer. Maa was set to start his new job in Los Angeles and couldn't stay to support the search any longer.

Just as the volunteers were getting ready to stop searching for Rocky, he was captured on someone's porch camera. Volunteers set up a trap in the area and, after multiple attempts, captured the pup. In the 43 days he was missing, Rocky lost 22 pounds, going from a healthy 50 to a dangerously low 28.

While Maa drove from Los Angeles to Summit County, Rocky was cared for by the Summit County Animal Shelter, the Buffalo Mountain Animal Hospital, and the Rescue. Maa and Rocky's emotional reunion was captured on video by Summit Lost Pet Rescue.

Whether you're at home or traveling, placing familiar items outside will give your pup a scent trail to follow. Also, be sure to keep your pet's microchip information up to date. They will be returned to you faster if the veterinarian or rescue can scan their chip.

As much as we adore Bean's voice, it could make it tough to get some much-needed sleep. Once you've ruled out that there isn't anything medically wrong with your kitty, you may have success minimizing meowing by not rewarding each vocalization with treats or attention.

Of course, cats may be trying to tell you they're hungry or they'd like their litter box refreshed. In this case, it seems like Bean is just a little bored. Maybe he heard a noise outside and wants to protect his family.

Of course, it's easy for Bean to do this; he gets to catnap all day! I hope he decides to save his monologues for midday instead of the middle of the night!

If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you can't dictate when a pet chooses you to be their forever person. Nearly every cat and dog I've ever rescued entered my life at random, kismet ways, and I don't argue with fate! It's a real gift to be the one they deem worthy of caring for them (whether we're ready or not).

Max has been one of my favorite dogs to follow, if only for his overly expressive face! You never know what he's thinking, but it's probably philosophy or some challenging physics equations. The curly-haired Poodle mix has been compared to Will Ferrell and John Candy in Spaceballs, but I'm calling it—he's 100% that guy who'll steal your girl if you don't watch out!
